- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, that's why, is a founding member of
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:15Speaker 2: H Hello and welcome to b F y t W.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Apparently the WrestleMania edition was doing his best Brandy Savage
- 0:52Speaker 3: James slip into some of that b F y t W. Yes, indeed, uh,
- 1:02Speaker 3: welcome to what is going to be a well deserved
- 1:06Speaker 3: chill show. We've been running hot lately, lots of guests,
- 1:10Speaker 3: lots of great shows, but we deserve a bit of
- 1:13Speaker 3: a break, and some of us were gonna riot if
- 1:17Speaker 3: we didn't get one.
- 1:19Speaker 1: So all three of us agreed, Yes, let's riot. Corporate
- 1:23Speaker 1: said okay, okay, you guys to have a chill show.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Yeah. Finally, finally they relented, and I'm grateful we didn't
- 1:30Speaker 3: have to kill anybody.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I know it was going to come down to it, man, I.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Was ready, yep. I was ready to take a life. Yep.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I was getting my socks in my quarters altogether.
- 1:42Speaker 3: So I will, as always, I'll start with the introduction doc. Hi,
- 1:46Speaker 3: I'm your host. PANTSLS Aaron with me as always are
- 1:49Speaker 3: my brethren in a criminal underdoings. He is a gamer
- 1:54Speaker 3: and a storyteller, and he used to be my youngest friend.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Now he's just Augie.
- 1:59Speaker 4: He's like, it's been a while.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It has been a while. We've had so many guests
- 2:17Speaker 3: lately and such, which is great.
- 2:19Speaker 5: I had suggested to Steve earlier that maybe we should
- 2:22Speaker 5: get like just a generic guest intro, just so we
- 2:25Speaker 5: can always still do our.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Maybe pretty funny and welcome.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Hey, you're our guest. Do your best. It's gonna be
- 2:34Speaker 3: a fun fest.
- 2:36Speaker 1: There we got, God, let's cut that.
- 2:42Speaker 3: You just literally cut that out.
- 2:43Speaker 5: In the trademarks. No one could have that one, no one.
- 2:50Speaker 3: That'd be great.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Honestly, I like yours though, because like such amazing jingles,
- 2:54Speaker 5: such as.
- 3:00Speaker 1: From the Minds of Things.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I could just make another one. You're our guest.
- 3:06Speaker 1: To take a bunch of them, Like, let's just do
- 3:12Speaker 1: a bunch now, man, I'll just cut.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Them a bunch. I all have a little clown honk.
- 3:17Speaker 5: I always gotta have the clown horn just rotate through
- 3:21Speaker 5: ship for each guy. Got to remind them what circus
- 3:23Speaker 5: they walked into.
- 3:27Speaker 6: Accurate, accurate you consented when you walk through the cabin. Yeah, Kevin,
- 3:34Speaker 6: it's a little cabin. It is a little It is fine.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I like it. It's it's cozy as well. It's so
- 3:43Speaker 3: much cool shipping here. Uh, despite being a small a
- 3:48Speaker 3: smaller space, it still feels cozy, which is great.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's not bad. It doesn't feel claustrophobic at all.
- 3:53Speaker 3: No, no, not at all.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Even mean we had.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Like five people, yeah we did. We did seven at
- 3:59Speaker 3: one point.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Yeah, and it really wasn't that bad. We had a
- 4:02Speaker 5: different table space too at that time, I think, so, Yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 5: it still wasn't that bad because it only took up
- 4:08Speaker 5: like pretty much the same space. Honestly.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it was cool.
- 4:15Speaker 1: This is a weird angle.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I like it.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, we got way off Tangent. I was introducing and
- 4:20Speaker 3: we just completely flew.
- 4:22Speaker 5: And then I introduced Dave and I just kind of
- 4:24Speaker 5: went there.
- 4:26Speaker 3: So I guess the question I will ask is is
- 4:31Speaker 3: there a game that you have been frustrated by recently?
- 4:35Speaker 5: Yeah? It was very quick, Yes, I mean it's so
- 4:42Speaker 5: low hanging fruit because it's meant to be. But I've
- 4:44Speaker 5: been playing Monster Hunter lately. I've been jumping back and
- 4:48Speaker 5: forth between World and Rise. I played World back when
- 4:51Speaker 5: when it first came out on Xbox and everything like that,
- 4:53Speaker 5: and I played with my friends. I loved it hard
- 4:56Speaker 5: back then I got it on PC. Now with the DLC,
- 4:59Speaker 5: still hard now a lot of fun. But somehow I'm
- 5:04Speaker 5: playing Rise again and uh, it's supposed to be the
- 5:09Speaker 5: easiest in the series. I don't know. Maybe it's the controls,
- 5:12Speaker 5: maybe it's the tag patterns, but I always felt like
- 5:15Speaker 5: this is actually slightly harder, maybe because I have less
- 5:18Speaker 5: experience with it, but it does frustrate me.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I have.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I have done a couple of times where I'm like,
- 5:24Speaker 5: you know what, I'm gotta put this game down because
- 5:26Speaker 5: I start yelling to myself. But then I go back
- 5:29Speaker 5: and kick ass. But that's just how the game is.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Mazer Hunter has always been like, it's hard, open wide.
- 5:36Speaker 1: That's fair. Yeah, Fair's definitely fair, all right?
- 5:39Speaker 3: And uh, and the other member of our exquisite team here,
- 5:43Speaker 3: he's a veteran and a podcaster, and as it turns out,
- 5:46Speaker 3: that makes him a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie.
- 5:50Speaker 4: It's STEVEE. It's Steve.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Dang right.
- 5:56Speaker 3: They don't get any weirder, yes, sir, changes one. God
- 6:00Speaker 3: damn it, God, god damn it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Weird asshole searching.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Searching for Stevie's searching for weird assholes in your area.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Hey, this one's a cue. I am so sorry. It's
- 6:24Speaker 3: really not stee anyway, Stevie doing good their game even
- 6:34Speaker 3: playing recently that you found frustrating.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say Monster Hunter, but you chose
- 6:40Speaker 1: because he got me into it.
- 6:41Speaker 5: I try not to say that I also got him
- 6:43Speaker 5: into a Yeah, really played it.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Finally got it to work. But regardless of that one,
- 6:49Speaker 1: because that was a connection issue for like minutes. Figure
- 6:53Speaker 1: it out. Austin a cyber and a diabetic. I'll try
- 6:56Speaker 1: to get into the same lobby. Two of us could
- 6:57Speaker 1: always get together, but the third never could.
- 6:59Speaker 5: I hold you, man. Monster Hunter is hard. W is
- 7:07Speaker 5: a tough game, and.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It was funny because, like I had, I was on
- 7:10Speaker 1: a time schedule. I was like, we got an hour
- 7:12Speaker 1: to play because I'm gonna be able to think show
- 7:13Speaker 1: like in an hour. So it's like we got like
- 7:16Speaker 1: fifteen minutes and we got one hunted on this easy monster.
- 7:19Speaker 1: But that's not even the one boulders Gate three. So
- 7:23Speaker 1: by multiple games going on right now again, which is fine,
- 7:26Speaker 1: but I also have a single player one finally, and
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'm playing an evil rogue, which is so much fucking fun.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Oh my god, evil characters.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Oh my god, I am fucking like, Oh, this person
- 7:36Speaker 1: stuck in a cage. I'll stick up behind him, pickpocket them.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Then I will come out and talk to them. Then
- 7:41Speaker 1: I will free them. Then they come out. Then I
- 7:43Speaker 1: go turn base mode, stamp them in the back, kill them.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Then I steal from him again because Gold somehow disappears
- 7:48Speaker 1: there even though I already pickpocket.
- 7:50Speaker 3: It was a question between their butt cheeks.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Okay, but the game itself, the mechanic of you have
- 7:58Speaker 1: to quick safe cont just because of the mouse movement.
- 8:02Speaker 1: If you there's no like confirmation for your movement. It's like,
- 8:05Speaker 1: if you click, it's going, it's happening, unless you're like
- 8:08Speaker 1: intern based mode, and that's the only thing. There's no like,
- 8:10Speaker 1: oh crap, I didn't mean to do that. It just happens,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and it's fine. It's just frustrating because it happened to
- 8:16Speaker 1: me at least twice every session I'm playing, and I'm
- 8:19Speaker 1: by myself, so I'm like yelling at myself, like, motherfucker,
- 8:22Speaker 1: why did you grow quick clicking it well, my handshaking,
- 8:26Speaker 1: So it's just frustrating. Fair.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm surprised they don't have a click to confirm options.
- 8:31Speaker 5: There's gotta be a mod especially when it comes to movement,
- 8:33Speaker 5: because yeah, when we play together, it happens to us
- 8:35Speaker 5: all the time. In combat, I'm like, I meant to
- 8:37Speaker 5: what I did not mean to warun away from this
- 8:40Speaker 5: guy who now has opportunity.
- 8:41Speaker 1: God damn it, and you didn't click it them.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it's saying I don't want to. I don't want
- 8:47Speaker 5: to quick load back because it's literally like two fights
- 8:49Speaker 5: ago because we forgot the quick say before this and
- 8:51Speaker 5: we have to win it or we're got to go
- 8:53Speaker 5: back too fights a go.
- 8:54Speaker 1: We got my frustration to us.
- 8:55Speaker 5: See, it's not as bad as mother's though, that's a
- 9:00Speaker 5: skill issue, connection scale issue.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Yeah, well what about you are fearless leader.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I am your host pantss Aaron Oggie hit it stoners.
- 9:27Speaker 3: As for me, I have I don't know why because
- 9:30Speaker 3: I've not really been in that mood, but apparently I
- 9:33Speaker 3: have been. I don't know, but I got into playing
- 9:36Speaker 3: the Final Fantasy games that I have not played yet.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Oh okay, so I sort of dropped off after Final
- 9:42Speaker 3: Fantasy ten because Final Fantasy ten was honestly meh, I
- 9:47Speaker 3: know there are a lot of people who don't agree
- 9:49Speaker 3: with that, but it is an absolutely gorgeous game. One
- 9:53Speaker 3: of the most beautiful games ever made period. It's just
- 9:56Speaker 3: absolutely superbly graphically. For the PS two it was incredible,
- 10:03Speaker 3: but the like, just the gameplay just it didn't feel
- 10:07Speaker 3: like it was all there. And also the sphear grid
- 10:09Speaker 3: thing didn't. I kind of enjoyed how it opened up
- 10:12Speaker 3: in the late game, but otherwise it didn't really work
- 10:14Speaker 3: for me. It just it just felt like you were
- 10:19Speaker 3: I mean, you could do your own things sort of,
- 10:21Speaker 3: but it was just it was just unwieldy. I guess
- 10:23Speaker 3: how did you feel?
- 10:24Speaker 5: How did you feel about the like the legendary weapon
- 10:26Speaker 5: grinds you had to do, oh Jesus get the best
- 10:29Speaker 5: weapons for your gual Oh.
- 10:30Speaker 3: I didn't bother. I didn't fucking bother.
- 10:34Speaker 5: I just you know, I found I remember that lightning field.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I found really good weapons. Yeah, where you have to
- 10:39Speaker 3: dodge the lightning two hundred times without failing, executively, consecutive
- 10:44Speaker 3: without failing. If you miss a single one, you have
- 10:46Speaker 3: to start all over. Uh so, if you can get
- 10:49Speaker 3: to one hundred and sixty five, you will be cursing
- 10:52Speaker 3: everyone at square who designed that.
- 10:53Speaker 5: My father, who was a gamer, loved all the final fantasies.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Fantasies was what you got us into. Initially, when he
- 11:00Speaker 5: played ten, I watched him for hours growing these legendary weapons.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I don't know how he didn't lose his ship because
- 11:06Speaker 5: like that Lightning one.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Was when you're when you're that into it, like I'll
- 11:11Speaker 3: go for the legendary weapons and stuff in like Final
- 11:13Speaker 3: Fantasy seven, Final Fantasy eight, because I'm so into it
- 11:16Speaker 3: that I'm like, I want to, I want to one
- 11:18Speaker 3: hundred percent this game.
- 11:19Speaker 7: I want to.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I want to squeeze all the fun that I can
- 11:22Speaker 3: out of this time. You put your time, Yeah, you
- 11:24Speaker 3: put yourself into it.
- 11:25Speaker 1: We did that story in the day let me but
- 11:28Speaker 1: it was a bit more structured.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Let me quickly describe three games in which I did
- 11:33Speaker 3: not do any of that. So the first game I
- 11:36Speaker 3: played was Final Fantasy twelve the Zodiac Age, which is
- 11:41Speaker 3: very is very weird, and our friend of the show
- 11:45Speaker 3: cj aka dj xanthus agrees with me that it is.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It is.
- 11:50Speaker 3: It is one of the worst fantasies I've played. It
- 11:54Speaker 3: is again, it's very pretty.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Uh.
- 11:56Speaker 3: The some of the characters are cool. Some of them
- 11:59Speaker 3: just tacked on, Like the protagonist. I hate to say that,
- 12:03Speaker 3: but he's basically along for the ride for the whole game.
- 12:08Speaker 3: He has almost no purpose after the opening.
- 12:10Speaker 5: He's a Titus without the importance.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Titus is actually relevant to the plot.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Titus will be annoying, but he's he's relevant to the plot.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Von Von from Final Fantasy twelve might as well not
- 12:21Speaker 3: even be there. He's just another guy, honestly, just a dude,
- 12:25Speaker 3: Just a dude, honest to god. He's just along for
- 12:28Speaker 3: the ride. Having said that, I did enjoy the ending,
- 12:32Speaker 3: but I mean getting there was ridiculous. The battle system
- 12:34Speaker 3: is more like programming than it is like actually playing.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It's like you, you pro you give your characters these
- 12:42Speaker 3: I can't remember what they're called off the top of
- 12:43Speaker 3: my head, but they're basically like gut like programming guiderails
- 12:47Speaker 3: like if if an ally falls below fifty percent health,
- 12:49Speaker 3: cast cure, if if an enemy has more than ten
- 12:53Speaker 3: thousand hit points, use this powerful spell, like.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Oh, that's kind of cool.
- 12:57Speaker 5: It is a complicated programming, right.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It is a neat idea on paper, but in play
- 13:04Speaker 3: it basically means you wander into an enemy, the battle
- 13:06Speaker 3: sets up, and then you sit there and watch, oh ill.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You don't get to make any choices.
- 13:10Speaker 3: I mean you can, but it's again unwieldy and difficult.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Just set everything up.
- 13:17Speaker 3: It is. It is literally easier to just set everything
- 13:20Speaker 3: up and if something is going wrong, you can change.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I think they're called gambits, Yes, I think gambits. Yeah,
- 13:25Speaker 3: you change between these gambits on the fly. But still
- 13:29Speaker 3: it's like, so.
- 13:30Speaker 1: You're you're playing a game that you're just watching a movie.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Kind of battle simulator, a battle simulator, Yeah, you're just
- 13:38Speaker 3: kind of.
- 13:40Speaker 5: It's a Final Fantasy battle simulator basically, you know, it's
- 13:43Speaker 5: it's yeah, it's it's let's just say it's not great.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Let's move on to Final Fantasy thirteen, okay, which I
- 13:51Speaker 3: actually kind of enjoyed more than twelve, despite it being
- 13:56Speaker 3: a series of corridors with barely any offshoots, like you're
- 14:00Speaker 3: basically just wandering down a straight line. It was incredibly linear.
- 14:05Speaker 1: We're so lazy guys, Like all of.
- 14:07Speaker 3: The fights are pretty much laid out in front of you.
- 14:09Speaker 3: You can avoid them by running past them. But aside
- 14:11Speaker 3: from that, it's like, I mean, you're gonna you're gonna
- 14:15Speaker 3: want to fight everything just to get as much level
- 14:18Speaker 3: up as you can. But anyway, it isn't until like
- 14:22Speaker 3: the very end of the game, like where they finally
- 14:25Speaker 3: present you with an open area that you can explore
- 14:28Speaker 3: and you can choose to do some of these things
- 14:30Speaker 3: or not. You you really don't have a choice. You
- 14:33Speaker 3: kind of have to because you'll be under leveled if
- 14:36Speaker 3: you try and keep going without doing any of the
- 14:37Speaker 3: extra stuff. But they finally give you, hey, here's some
- 14:41Speaker 3: extra stuff to do if you want. You can run around,
- 14:43Speaker 3: you can you can like soothe these grieving souls who
- 14:46Speaker 3: are trapped here. Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Cool.
- 14:49Speaker 3: So there's a bunch of side quests, but only in
- 14:50Speaker 3: this one area at the very end of the game,
- 14:52Speaker 3: and then when you get past that, back to linear
- 14:54Speaker 3: corridors until the very end. Now, the ending was kind
- 14:58Speaker 3: of cool, and I cared a little bit more about
- 15:01Speaker 3: the characters because they were all involved this time. But honestly,
- 15:04Speaker 3: it just felt like again, it felt like almost like Squares,
- 15:09Speaker 3: like showing off their cinematic capabilities, and some of the
- 15:13Speaker 3: movies were like some of the things were so hard
- 15:15Speaker 3: to make out because they were like incredibly close up action,
- 15:19Speaker 3: like going ape shit, oh you know where like it.
- 15:23Speaker 3: It would have been easier to tell if the camera
- 15:24Speaker 3: had been zoomed out, but like, you know, clearly they.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Do you think I like, here's my tinfoil half for
- 15:30Speaker 5: that one. Do you think that Square Enix just wanted
- 15:33Speaker 5: an excuse to make an ut Final Fantasy movie?
- 15:36Speaker 3: Yeah? It felt a lot.
- 15:38Speaker 5: And that they're like, here's the game. Look how cinemaca is. Now,
- 15:40Speaker 5: let us do a movie. And they did do other
- 15:43Speaker 5: like they did another Final Fantasy seven movie I think
- 15:47Speaker 5: relatively recently within the last decade.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Shit. Well I don't know whether it was just popular
- 15:53Speaker 3: enough or whatnot, but they decided to make two sequels
- 15:56Speaker 3: to that game. Wow, which is ridonculous. They'd only ever
- 16:00Speaker 3: done Final Fantasy ten to two before game.
- 16:04Speaker 5: So poorly received sequels.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean everybody, everybody literally hated it. So instead
- 16:09Speaker 3: of moving on, they're like, no, trust me, this world
- 16:12Speaker 3: is worth exploring. Let's do more. Okay, So they made
- 16:16Speaker 3: Final Fantasy thirteen to two. Uh, And I got to say,
- 16:20Speaker 3: at first, I was like, Okay, the battle systems better. Uh,
- 16:23Speaker 3: it's it's more fun the first one. I should say
- 16:26Speaker 3: all these games have well the first two anyway, they
- 16:30Speaker 3: have these. Again, it's a little bit like programming because
- 16:33Speaker 3: you have these mo yeah, kind of like gamuts, except
- 16:37Speaker 3: that they're pre programmed for you. So you have Commando,
- 16:39Speaker 3: which is all out attack. You have Ravager, which is
- 16:43Speaker 3: cast magic to try and you know, destabilize the enemy,
- 16:46Speaker 3: stagger them. You have Sentinel, which is defend and heel
- 16:50Speaker 3: we will defend more than he'll but defend. You have
- 16:53Speaker 3: the Medic which is the heel you know, cast healing,
- 16:56Speaker 3: and you have Sabatur which casts de buffs on the enemy,
- 17:00Speaker 3: and you have Sinner just switch casts buff on the party,
- 17:02Speaker 3: and you can switch between these six modes whenever you want.
- 17:05Speaker 3: You can set up sets of three so you can
- 17:07Speaker 3: swap between them on the fly. So if you want
- 17:10Speaker 3: to have everybody on all assault all the time, you
- 17:12Speaker 3: can have three Commandos, or you can just like mix
- 17:14Speaker 3: and match however you want, and in battle you switch
- 17:17Speaker 3: between these on the fly, which is kind of cool.
- 17:21Speaker 3: It's a little bit more engaging than the Gambus system
- 17:24Speaker 3: from before. You can't really change much of the programming,
- 17:28Speaker 3: but what you can do is level up each individual setting.
- 17:32Speaker 3: You can level up the Commando, you can pull up
- 17:34Speaker 3: the ravager, so they get stronger attacks, they get more abilities,
- 17:38Speaker 3: they can do more damage, that sort of thing. But
- 17:42Speaker 3: you have to be able and ready to switch between
- 17:45Speaker 3: these on the fly, because they're very good about creating
- 17:49Speaker 3: encounters where the monsters will change the way things work
- 17:52Speaker 3: all of a sudden. Oh, or you'll see a big
- 17:55Speaker 3: they'll forecast like a big attack because you'll see the
- 17:58Speaker 3: name of it pop on on the screen and then
- 18:00Speaker 3: the camera zoom out and you go, oh shit, this
- 18:02Speaker 3: is gonna be bad. Everybody in Sentinel now, like, just
- 18:05Speaker 3: just put everybody on car right, So it is more engaging,
- 18:09Speaker 3: it's more interactive, you feel more involved. You're still not
- 18:12Speaker 3: directly telling your characters what to do, like you're still
- 18:15Speaker 3: kind of sitting back and watching, but it was better.
- 18:19Speaker 3: And then they put fucking quick time events.
- 18:22Speaker 5: In a.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Man, every team, every single boss fight has quick time.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Every one right there, And well, I can sit and
- 18:34Speaker 1: watch a story at least.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Nope, here's here's the here's the absolute worst part. Okay,
- 18:38Speaker 3: So throughout Final Fantasy thirteen and thirteen two, you can
- 18:42Speaker 3: sort of you can sort of jump like they have
- 18:44Speaker 3: obstacles in the environment you need to jump over. Okay,
- 18:47Speaker 3: these are usually indicated by little blue glowing circles on
- 18:50Speaker 3: the ground, and you just in Final Fantacy thirteen you
- 18:52Speaker 3: just run up to them. In Final Fantasy thirteen two
- 18:54Speaker 3: they added a jump button, so now you run up
- 18:56Speaker 3: to them and press the jump button. Your character will jump,
- 18:58Speaker 3: and you can jump whenever you want. There's not much
- 19:00Speaker 3: use for it aside from these obstacles, but you can
- 19:03Speaker 3: do it. I didn't really know why until I got
- 19:07Speaker 3: to the final dungeon, which turned out to be a
- 19:11Speaker 3: bunch of floating platforms which separated by small gaps.
- 19:16Speaker 1: No.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah, this is a platforming dungeon in the middle of
- 19:22Speaker 3: this game that has had nothing to do with platforming.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Square Enix is not known for making platformers, and trust me,
- 19:28Speaker 3: they dropped the ball in this one. It was so
- 19:31Speaker 3: incredibly frustrating. I just started throwing Sarah to her death.
- 19:36Speaker 3: I literally just started throwing, like jumping off deliberately, like
- 19:39Speaker 3: multiple times in a row. Hoping this Square and except
- 19:42Speaker 3: Program Day you appeared to be having a hard time
- 19:45Speaker 3: with this. Would you like to skip this section? They
- 19:48Speaker 3: did not, so I basically just threw her to her
- 19:52Speaker 3: death like twenty times pointlessly. I did eventually get through it,
- 19:57Speaker 3: and I got to the ending, and it was surprisingly sad,
- 20:02Speaker 3: and then it tore everything inside out, made the entire
- 20:08Speaker 3: game fucking pointless. The ending literally takes the rugout from
- 20:12Speaker 3: under you. It is a very very bad ending, very
- 20:15Speaker 3: very bad for you. The characters spoilers. I don't care
- 20:18Speaker 3: if you're gonna play.
- 20:19Speaker 5: This game has been out long enough and you're not
- 20:21Speaker 5: gonna play.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Honestly, Yeah, if you were going to play this game,
- 20:24Speaker 3: he can consider this a legitimate warning. Don't like. Like
- 20:30Speaker 3: I said, it was better. It was better than Final
- 20:32Speaker 3: Fat thirteen until the qreak time events and this bullshit
- 20:35Speaker 3: platforming and the ending literally made me so angry. I
- 20:38Speaker 3: was like, why did I waste my time with this game?
- 20:41Speaker 3: Aside from it, it had all the ingredients of a
- 20:43Speaker 3: great game. You time travel, you can jump between different
- 20:46Speaker 3: periods of time at will, you can go back and forth,
- 20:49Speaker 3: there's multiple there's additional stuff. There's tons of side stuff
- 20:52Speaker 3: in this game. You can go to different eras and
- 20:55Speaker 3: complete different puzzles. There's actual puzzles in this game. Like,
- 20:58Speaker 3: there's a lot to this game. That could have been
- 21:01Speaker 3: awesome if the main game didn't make it.
- 21:05Speaker 5: And it seems kind of like hypocritical for someone who
- 21:08Speaker 5: likes Sponsor Hunter to bash qtse can Sponsor Hunter is
- 21:11Speaker 5: just a giant QT anyways, is it? I mean it's not,
- 21:16Speaker 5: but yeah, no, it's It's not like you know, like, oh,
- 21:19Speaker 5: I gotta hit zero or I'm dead. It's more like
- 21:21Speaker 5: you gotta hit zero, dodge out of the way, or.
- 21:23Speaker 3: You might take a little bit of down. That's not
- 21:25Speaker 3: a QTN. I guess that's active gameplay.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 21:29Speaker 5: The point is is that it's kind of blame to
- 21:32Speaker 5: put something like that in a j RPG, like a
- 21:36Speaker 5: role playing like turn based RPG. Why why would you
- 21:41Speaker 5: put in a game meant to be slow paced? Why
- 21:44Speaker 5: would you put a fast as fuck mechanic in your game? Yeah? Anyways,
- 21:52Speaker 5: I'm sure that it doesn't end there, right.
- 21:54Speaker 3: No, it doesn't. I am now playing Lightning Returns Final
- 21:58Speaker 3: Fantasy thirteen, which is the third and final game in
- 22:01Speaker 3: the saga, and I am grateful to say that so far,
- 22:05Speaker 3: I haven't finished it, but so far this game is
- 22:08Speaker 3: better than the previous two by an order of magnitude.
- 22:12Speaker 3: First of all, you no longer command a party, you
- 22:14Speaker 3: command lightning.
- 22:15Speaker 1: That's just just the one person, is it okay?
- 22:21Speaker 3: You can, I believe directly, Yeah, you can and do
- 22:25Speaker 3: directly choose her abilities as you go, because I think
- 22:29Speaker 3: it's an ingenious system. They have an active time bar,
- 22:33Speaker 3: like like the you know the previous games had. However,
- 22:37Speaker 3: your actions take away from the time bar. It's not
- 22:39Speaker 3: time time refills it, but your actions. You choose and
- 22:43Speaker 3: you have the four buttons on the controller and each
- 22:45Speaker 3: one corresponds to a different action. You can assign the
- 22:48Speaker 3: actions like attack will take ten points off the bar
- 22:51Speaker 3: and do a regular attack. You can also do a
- 22:53Speaker 3: heavy slash, which takes forty points off the bar and
- 22:55Speaker 3: hits much much harder. You can also do spells which
- 22:59Speaker 3: do twenty five points and do a certain amount of damage,
- 23:01Speaker 3: or other things you gotta Goeta can stagger the opponent
- 23:04Speaker 3: and all that stuff. And my favorite part of this
- 23:07Speaker 3: is you can switch between three active time bars at
- 23:10Speaker 3: a time. You can you can set each one to
- 23:14Speaker 3: be she wears a different armor set, she has a
- 23:17Speaker 3: different weapon, and she has a different shield. She also
- 23:19Speaker 3: wears different accessories, so you can set one up to
- 23:23Speaker 3: be like this is the maje Yes different lot, and
- 23:27Speaker 3: like the previous game, you can switch between them on
- 23:30Speaker 3: the fly, so when you empty out one, you can
- 23:32Speaker 3: be like, all right, I'm gonna switch to this next
- 23:34Speaker 3: one and just start wailing on them again. And it's
- 23:37Speaker 3: in real time. It's not turn based. The the enemy
- 23:40Speaker 3: will sit there and do attacks if you're just sitting
- 23:42Speaker 3: there waiting, so you're just you're literally like picking what
- 23:45Speaker 3: you want to do as you do it. It's one
- 23:47Speaker 3: of the most it's one of the most fun battle
- 23:51Speaker 3: systems I think Final Fantasy has ever had. Is it
- 23:55Speaker 3: is literally a lot of fun because you're directly controlling
- 23:58Speaker 3: or you're choosing what she does, and you're you can
- 24:01Speaker 3: still switch between the three modes to give you different
- 24:04Speaker 3: advantages if you need them, so it's strategic too, and
- 24:09Speaker 3: it's it's so far the story is better than the
- 24:13Speaker 3: previous two. But I'm not I'm knowing what happened last time.
- 24:16Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna wait until I get to the
- 24:18Speaker 3: ending before I make a judgment on that. But here's
- 24:21Speaker 3: the thing that I don't like. So it has a
- 24:24Speaker 3: it has a very real legend of Zelda Majora's mask
- 24:28Speaker 3: thing going on where there's a timer. Now you have
- 24:32Speaker 3: a limited amount of time to do the things you
- 24:34Speaker 3: want and or need to do before the world ends.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Oh literally before the world ends. You have you have
- 24:42Speaker 3: you have six days to start with, but you can
- 24:44Speaker 3: add to that by doing main and subquests.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Uh.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Main and subquests will get you souls that you can
- 24:50Speaker 3: then use to give yourself additional days. The maximumount of
- 24:54Speaker 3: days you can have is thirteen naturally, uh. And so
- 24:59Speaker 3: you have this timer running. And one of the neater
- 25:03Speaker 3: things about that is that some things are only open
- 25:05Speaker 3: during specific times, So if you want to get somewhere,
- 25:08Speaker 3: you have to be there at a specific time, which
- 25:10Speaker 3: I don't hate because that's interesting. It makes the world
- 25:13Speaker 3: more interesting. But like if you miss a time, there's
- 25:17Speaker 3: no going back to it. You don't have to wait
- 25:19Speaker 3: till the next day. And so that limited time format,
- 25:23Speaker 3: I don't know how well it's going to work in
- 25:24Speaker 3: an RPG, where typically people want to explore, they want
- 25:28Speaker 3: to see everything, and feeling like you don't have time
- 25:32Speaker 3: to do that is not I'm not a huge fan
- 25:35Speaker 3: of it. Having said that, I I've played through two
- 25:40Speaker 3: in game days and I've done a ton of stuff, Like,
- 25:42Speaker 3: I've done a ton of side quests, I've done one
- 25:45Speaker 3: of the main quests. There's five in total, and I've
- 25:49Speaker 3: actually really enjoyed it. So it might be cool, perfectly cool,
- 25:54Speaker 3: and it might be a bummer when I get to
- 25:56Speaker 3: the end and there's just not enough time to do
- 25:58Speaker 3: everything I want to do. Yeah, second, blaye through Yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 3: I mean there's that. There might also be like a
- 26:04Speaker 3: time rewind mechanic that I don't know about. Oh, that
- 26:08Speaker 3: would be cool if you'd be allowed to go back
- 26:10Speaker 3: and give yourself the time to do the things that
- 26:13Speaker 3: you want to do. As it is now, there is
- 26:15Speaker 3: an ability to stop time. People keep moving, people keep
- 26:18Speaker 3: going about their day, but your time doesn't go down.
- 26:21Speaker 3: It just stays. And you can use this for about
- 26:24Speaker 3: fifteen minutes at a time, fifteen minutes of real time,
- 26:27Speaker 3: so it'll it'll stay frozen for a good amount of
- 26:30Speaker 3: time to let you do things that you need to
- 26:32Speaker 3: do if you're running out of time, if you're in danger,
- 26:34Speaker 3: running out of time. So so far thumbs hesitantly up.
- 26:40Speaker 3: We'll see how it ends, but so far, the battle
- 26:43Speaker 3: system is so much better than either of the previous games.
- 26:47Speaker 3: The plot is still kind of batshit crazy. I mean,
- 26:50Speaker 3: they all are, but each one is individually batshit crazy
- 26:53Speaker 3: from each other. It's it's weird, but I'm having a
- 26:57Speaker 3: good time with it. So hopefully it continues, and I'll
- 26:59Speaker 3: let you know, probably next Chill show or whatnot.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Hell's yeah, hell yeah, fuck you dude.
- 27:04Speaker 3: So that I feel like I've taken it up a
- 27:06Speaker 3: good amount of time with that. Should we take our
- 27:07Speaker 3: first break? Let's do that, all right, so we'll be
- 27:11Speaker 3: back right after this. Hey man, let's hear from our
- 27:23Speaker 3: friends and fans. Do we have any comments, emails or voicemails.
- 27:26Speaker 1: We do have a comment on Patreons, Oh sweet, heck yeah.
- 27:30Speaker 1: It was show two sixty the super Fan Edition Volume
- 27:33Speaker 1: two where we had we had Bill on. Yeah, that
- 27:36Speaker 1: was so much fun, dude that it was a great time.
- 27:38Speaker 3: It was great to meet Bill too.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Heck yeah, it's it's fun to like chill let the
- 27:42Speaker 1: Patreon members, man, they supported us for so long. It's
- 27:45Speaker 1: good to be able to have them come in and
- 27:46Speaker 1: play some games and yeah, yeah yeah. And this comment
- 27:50Speaker 1: comes from Justin B. Damn, that comic price was crazy.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I really was waiting for Aaron to say over every time,
- 27:58Speaker 1: or say over every time the guys went higher that
- 28:01Speaker 1: one comic went stupid.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that was genuinely so much fun just watching
- 28:09Speaker 3: you guys lose your mind.
- 28:10Speaker 1: It was crazy sense. It didn't make any sense. Oh,
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm like, hell, how how.
- 28:17Speaker 3: It has to be something criminal? I have no idea
- 28:19Speaker 3: what or why? But like I took a look afterwards
- 28:24Speaker 3: and I was like, how much can I get that
- 28:25Speaker 3: comic for? For real?
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:26Speaker 3: Forty bucks?
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I think people are just like gating the prices.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Something's fucking not right here.
- 28:33Speaker 5: And I don't know whyfy W calls out a scam,
- 28:38Speaker 5: calls out eBay scam.
- 28:40Speaker 1: There's like it's like a trafficking ring. There's like meth
- 28:43Speaker 1: inside the comics or something, I mean, cheap comics.
- 28:46Speaker 3: It almost has to be because the money or anything.
- 28:49Speaker 3: What would be the point of selling that to yourself?
- 28:53Speaker 3: Like which I assume has to be because you paid
- 28:56Speaker 3: a ridiculous sum for it, Like either you are abjectly insane,
- 29:03Speaker 3: you're demonstrably insane.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Which is possible, It's definitely a possibility.
- 29:07Speaker 3: But I mean you like, eBay's cut has got to
- 29:10Speaker 3: be so big, yeah, Like it's got to be such
- 29:13Speaker 3: a good chunk of that money.
- 29:15Speaker 5: And it's not exactly something they wouldn't notice either, not
- 29:19Speaker 5: at all.
- 29:20Speaker 3: It's pretty crazy, and like I would think like federal
- 29:23Speaker 3: agencies would be all over any kind of money laundering
- 29:26Speaker 3: through an online especially a popular online store like eBay.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Like I I don't. I just don't know what the
- 29:33Speaker 3: hell happened there. But it was so much fun to
- 29:36Speaker 3: actually bring on the show that I had to. I
- 29:38Speaker 3: had to it. I just sat here just like just
- 29:41Speaker 3: just just smirking my ass off as you guys were
- 29:43Speaker 3: like what over and over again. Thanks Justin for your comment.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Much appreciate it, and hopefully we'll have more insane things
- 29:52Speaker 3: going on.
- 29:54Speaker 1: We can only hope.
- 29:55Speaker 3: I promise I'm not deliberately gonna look for I I'm
- 30:00Speaker 3: gonna try to stick to things that are closer to
- 30:02Speaker 3: the value of what they probably should be, because otherwise
- 30:05Speaker 3: it's impossible.
- 30:05Speaker 1: It's hard to figure out what the range unless you're
- 30:07Speaker 1: like we're starting here, and it's like even then, it's like, okay,
- 30:11Speaker 1: say you still said higher and bill didn't matter, all right,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and that's it?
- 30:18Speaker 7: Is it?
- 30:18Speaker 3: Okay, Well, remember if you enjoy this or any other
- 30:21Speaker 3: thing that we do on our show. Please feel free

- 31:12Speaker 3: Hey man, welcome back. Let's get more into some discussion
- 31:17Speaker 3: of what we've been doing. I took up the majority
- 31:19Speaker 3: of this first segment, so I feel that you'd be
- 31:21Speaker 3: one of you two guys cool who wants to talk
- 31:22Speaker 3: about what next? I got this all right, Stevie? What
- 31:26Speaker 3: you got heck?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Yeah? So the weather kind of started to get nice
- 31:29Speaker 1: out right? It did, and it was gorgeous. So we
- 31:32Speaker 1: were like, well, let's spend some time outside. So I
- 31:35Speaker 1: started to put my motorcycle battery back together into the bike,
- 31:38Speaker 1: got it all cleaned up, made sure everything turned on,
- 31:41Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, I'm going to ride it
- 31:42Speaker 1: to work one morning. It's gonna be great. I'll be
- 31:45Speaker 1: all like jazzed up for breakfast. And then it was
- 31:49Speaker 1: thirty degrees and it was wet and gross, and I'm like,
- 31:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna die this morning, so hop of my
- 31:54Speaker 1: cower and I'm like cool. So I go to work.
- 31:56Speaker 1: But the day after that, I'm like, well, my car
- 31:59Speaker 1: needs work, so I had to drop it off like
- 32:01Speaker 1: overnight and stuff, and I'm like, well, now I'm forced
- 32:03Speaker 1: to get the bike out and get it really ready. Luckily,
- 32:06Speaker 1: that next morning, when I got up at like when
- 32:09Speaker 1: I left at like six am, it was already like
- 32:11Speaker 1: fifty eight degrees or some shit. It was horfect. So
- 32:15Speaker 1: I rode my bike in the school, had a great day,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and on the way home it was seventy man and
- 32:21Speaker 1: I went home real quick, got into my other nicer gear,
- 32:24Speaker 1: and then drove to my little group thing hung out
- 32:26Speaker 1: with the guys at the bike out. We talked motorcycles
- 32:28Speaker 1: for like three hours. And then to continue the motorcycle
- 32:33Speaker 1: theme right now, I stopped over at the place yesterday
- 32:36Speaker 1: where I got my motorcycle, Stevens purchasing something nail. I
- 32:41Speaker 1: went in to get some new gloves because I needed
- 32:43Speaker 1: new gloves, and while I was there, I was talking
- 32:45Speaker 1: to our buddy who also sold me my bike, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: talking about something a little bit bigger. So I only
- 32:52Speaker 1: I started. I have a CF Moto. It's a three
- 32:55Speaker 1: hundred cc you know. It's a beginner bike pretty much,
- 33:00Speaker 1: so I can get up to speed when need be. Yeah,
- 33:03Speaker 1: but it's a naked bike, so it's not really like
- 33:05Speaker 1: a sport bike where you're hunched over all the time.
- 33:07Speaker 1: You can kind of sit up right, but there's nothing
- 33:09Speaker 1: to guard you. Really, he's hitting all the winds, hitting you.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:12Speaker 1: So I him and I were talking and we are
- 33:15Speaker 1: going with Now I think a Kawasaki Vulcan s it's
- 33:18Speaker 1: more of a cruiser, leather seats, you sit back a
- 33:21Speaker 1: little bit more more classic motorcycle. Okay, yeah, so I
- 33:24Speaker 1: think I might be getting that this this summer, hopefully spring.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm hoping spring. Yeah, And he's like, you're gonna keep
- 33:31Speaker 1: the other bike and I'm like, well, probably not, blah
- 33:33Speaker 1: blah blah. I'll get you a good trade in. I
- 33:35Speaker 1: was like all right. I told him Miles I had
- 33:37Speaker 1: on it, and he's like, yeah, you're gonna get a
- 33:39Speaker 1: really good deal. I'm like okay, because I didn't get
- 33:41Speaker 1: the ride too much last year, so it's nice. So yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 1: motorcycle season's out. I'm like mad excited to hit the
- 33:47Speaker 1: road again.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Man, uh, where are you getting it from? Can we
- 33:50Speaker 3: shout it out?
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yeah? Hebbler's Heck, yeah, this place is amazing.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Yeah, they've been awesome, like throughout the entire process of
- 33:58Speaker 1: me looking, we're and something else too. But I don't
- 34:01Speaker 1: want to say yeah, okay, surprised, but yeah, no, the
- 34:04Speaker 1: place is amazing.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I am yeah. No. I I ran into them through work,
- 34:09Speaker 3: like like they're they're a customer of my companies. That's awesome.
- 34:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 34:13Speaker 3: So I I recently helped them out with a printer
- 34:16Speaker 3: problem they were having, and they were just really cool people.
- 34:19Speaker 3: They were so laid back and genuinely a lot of
- 34:21Speaker 3: fun to work with. And then I got back to
- 34:23Speaker 3: my apartment that very same day and I saw a
- 34:27Speaker 3: friend of ours who lives in the same buildings. Yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 3: I do, Sir James and safely say, and his motorcycle
- 34:36Speaker 3: had a Hebler's on it and I was like, oh ship.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Literally the same day I look at that. Oh man.
- 34:43Speaker 3: The apparently they're a really cool company in the western
- 34:46Speaker 3: New York area if you want to get like a motorbike.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Any recreational they do, they do. They do at wheelers,
- 34:53Speaker 1: at vs, they do snowmobiles, they do everything that's cool.
- 34:58Speaker 1: So yeah, like I I all all the props to them.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Everything they took care because I didn't know what the
- 35:02Speaker 1: hell was doing on I first bought the bike, bringing
- 35:04Speaker 1: in the cool. That's the good to know, man, you go,
- 35:08Speaker 1: that's very cool. Yeah, that's that's been That's been nice.
- 35:12Speaker 7: I know.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I talked a little bit about the gaming at the
- 35:13Speaker 1: beginning with boulders Gate, which I am enjoying because I'm
- 35:16Speaker 1: actually getting further than I have been before. It's so
- 35:20Speaker 1: much fun. And we started a roost of nerds and
- 35:23Speaker 1: upstairs story so it's myself, Augie and Cybernetic Diabetic all
- 35:30Speaker 1: play in Bulger's Kate together, which has been a riot.
- 35:33Speaker 1: It's been so much stupid fun. Man. That's great because
- 35:38Speaker 1: it kind of reminds me of like when we played
- 35:40Speaker 1: last time at your place, when we played our D
- 35:42Speaker 1: and D Sessions, because I'm I love our D and
- 35:44Speaker 1: D Sessions.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Man, I'm genuinely having a lot of fun. I am too.
- 35:48Speaker 1: It's really cool. It's it's a lot of fun and
- 35:50Speaker 1: the last time I fucking blast and being the storytellers.
- 35:54Speaker 3: My only concern a little bit is that is that
- 35:57Speaker 3: I wonder if feels a little restrained, like running through
- 36:01Speaker 3: this you know, already planned out and created.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Yes, No, not restrained by the by the book itself,
- 36:08Speaker 5: more like restrained as trying not to throw too much
- 36:11Speaker 5: at you guys at once, and like ending the adventure
- 36:14Speaker 5: before it gets anywhere kind of thing.
- 36:16Speaker 3: Because we keep rushing into the areas where there's just
- 36:18Speaker 3: be a lot.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Sometimes some people you rush in, Sometimes you don't rush
- 36:22Speaker 5: fast enough.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Sometimes you heal the enemy.
- 36:25Speaker 5: I mean sometimes he says thanks, loser and then runs away.
- 36:31Speaker 1: That was a level one spell.
- 36:32Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 36:33Speaker 1: There goes my level one slot. Glad I healed him.
- 36:35Speaker 3: We've we've we've had some real boners in this entertaining
- 36:42Speaker 3: some absolute fails that genuinely made it just so much fun.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Honestly, I want to get more into D and D.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I am about to start start storytelling again for our home,
- 36:54Speaker 1: our house, one for downstairs, so we have reluctant Butter
- 36:57Speaker 1: and rest play. We have a homebrew one now that
- 37:01Speaker 1: Butter storytells for us, which has been amazing. It's great.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You created this entire world, not just like a map,
- 37:07Speaker 1: like a world. Been nuts. But I'm gonna start storytelling
- 37:11Speaker 1: a new one where they're all together and whatnot, and
- 37:14Speaker 1: eventually it comes to the point where they will have
- 37:17Speaker 1: free reign of their own dungeon and venturers come to
- 37:21Speaker 1: seal their stuff and raid them and stuff. So they're
- 37:23Speaker 1: actually not the monsters, but they are trying to defend
- 37:26Speaker 1: whatever they are there for or whatever. So has it started?
- 37:29Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 37:29Speaker 1: I think maybe tonight we're doing the character creation nice
- 37:32Speaker 1: but yeah, dude, like and they're all cat people, They're
- 37:34Speaker 1: all cat Yeah, fantastic.
- 37:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 1: I was like, okay, I can work with this.
- 37:38Speaker 5: I it's work with this.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Oh man, that's great.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I got two more quick things. I swear.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I was just wanted to also because I've got a
- 37:51Speaker 3: It's not D and D. It's the Old Guard, the
- 37:53Speaker 3: Old Gods of something or other. I can't remember the
- 37:56Speaker 3: name of it, but it's it's like a it's like
- 37:58Speaker 3: a real like eighteen hundreds, like Northeast, you know, Like
- 38:05Speaker 3: the beast is like a big, like glowy red eye
- 38:10Speaker 3: like moose or deer with these it's almost satanic looking horns.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Oh shit, yeah, it's it's it's real dark. Uh, it's
- 38:19Speaker 3: it's right up CJ's alley and that's why he's uh,
- 38:21Speaker 3: he's dm ing it.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Oh cool.
- 38:24Speaker 3: But when we finished that one, I'm gonna do one,
- 38:27Speaker 3: and I'm so excited about it because I cannot wait.
- 38:30Speaker 3: It is going to be a takeoff of Dimension twenties
- 38:36Speaker 3: Never Stop Blowing Up, which is an action which is
- 38:40Speaker 3: like eighties and nineties action movie style tabletop role playing
- 38:46Speaker 3: game campaign, right, And I am so stoked. I am
- 38:50Speaker 3: such a huge fan of eighties and nineties action movies
- 38:52Speaker 3: and how over the top they are. And if it's
- 38:55Speaker 3: if it's anything even remotely close to the campaign that
- 38:58Speaker 3: they had on Dimension twenty this is going to be
- 39:01Speaker 3: so much fun, so much fun. I'm excited. But anyway,
- 39:04Speaker 3: when you when you mentioned I was like, oh so
- 39:07Speaker 3: when CJ finishes up. That's when I'm gonna start, yeah
- 39:09Speaker 3: you'telling too, and then if if, if it goes well,
- 39:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna suggest maybe we could do something similar at
- 39:15Speaker 3: our table when Aggie decides.
- 39:16Speaker 1: To yeah yeah, and speaking about Aggie and d and
- 39:20Speaker 1: do you we might as well jump in at least
- 39:21Speaker 1: for this part. Tell them what you're gonna be storytelling
- 39:23Speaker 1: for soon?
- 39:24Speaker 5: So oh boy, Yeah, so I'm going in on another campaign.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Yeah wait, but so I've had this not yeah, I
- 39:34Speaker 5: guess it's technically an evil campaign. I had this undead
- 39:37Speaker 5: campaign kind of pocketed away for a while, and it's
- 39:41Speaker 5: like it's pretty extensive. I've got like the whole Kingdom
- 39:45Speaker 5: set out and everything like that, and a whole bunch
- 39:47Speaker 5: of other ship I'm still kind of piecing together, like
- 39:50Speaker 5: the names like I have, like I have, the characters
- 39:54Speaker 5: I have, like the setting I have, like the first
- 39:56Speaker 5: few things I would have the players do whatever. I
- 39:59Speaker 5: just don't have names anything, because that's the hardest part
- 40:02Speaker 5: for me, is deciding what am I gonna call this.
- 40:04Speaker 5: It's fair, it's hard, but yeah, so they want to
- 40:08Speaker 5: they want me to do that for them. Soon.
- 40:09Speaker 3: We got evil.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Characters and characters. Yeah, because we got the new Pathfinder books,
- 40:17Speaker 1: butter got it, and there's anti paladins and stuff in there.
- 40:21Speaker 1: You have to be chaotic, evil like crazy stuff. Okay
- 40:26Speaker 1: the last I swear. I'm almost done. Two more things.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Uh.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I got the guest on The Fink Show recently and
- 40:32Speaker 1: it was fun because I bug Bob was there and
- 40:35Speaker 1: we talked science and animals and so yeah, I get
- 40:40Speaker 1: to tell you y'all have to go join The Fink Show.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Go to patreon dot com slst the Fink Show and
- 40:45Speaker 1: you can listen to all the previous episodes, including the
- 40:47Speaker 1: one I was just on. But there's a crazy story
- 40:50Speaker 1: about giraffes in there, not even a little bit.
- 40:55Speaker 3: No.
- 40:55Speaker 1: And then uh, the last week and this week of
- 41:00Speaker 1: recording dates, we were on on the La Night. Oh
- 41:04Speaker 1: hell yeah, Hell yeah, dude. It was freaking awesome. So like,
- 41:07Speaker 1: we got to do a few episodes with the ladies
- 41:09Speaker 1: over there and it was a lot of freaking fun.
- 41:11Speaker 1: So Onola and I give them a checkout too. It's
- 41:14Speaker 1: a really funny Golden Girls episodic shows.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I've done four episodes and they were all super fun.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Hell yeah, we did four as well. Man, hell Yeah,
- 41:24Speaker 1: it's it's a great time. Like they have been amazing
- 41:27Speaker 1: and they're they're great host and it's it's a lot
- 41:29Speaker 1: of fun because you get the goof around watch the
- 41:32Speaker 1: first of all, you get to watch the Golden Girls,
- 41:35Speaker 1: which is amazing, and then you get the goof around
- 41:37Speaker 1: and you get to play a little game and then
- 41:39Speaker 1: it's just a lot of fun. Man, everybody should get
- 41:41Speaker 1: on that one.
- 41:41Speaker 3: It's fantastic.
- 41:42Speaker 1: They should. All right, I'm done, I'm done taking up time.
- 41:46Speaker 1: All right, somebody else.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I just got one thing to throw in. Just it's
- 41:51Speaker 3: just something I realized that I probably should have mentioned
- 41:53Speaker 3: chef to Okay, last week I mentioned that I had started, uh, well,
- 41:59Speaker 3: dieting is kind of the right word. I've replaced half
- 42:03Speaker 3: my meals with salads. Yeah, that seemed to be the
- 42:06Speaker 3: way to do it to me. Was like, like, I
- 42:09Speaker 3: can't like do nothing but salads because I'll probably get sick.
- 42:13Speaker 3: So I was like, I'm just gonna do half just
- 42:16Speaker 3: every day. Because I eat two meals a day. I
- 42:17Speaker 3: eat lunch and dinner, usually skip breakfast. But I think
- 42:21Speaker 3: even if I did do breakfast, I'd still be like
- 42:23Speaker 3: either lunch or dinner it's going to be a salad
- 42:25Speaker 3: every single day. I have not missed a day in
- 42:27Speaker 3: two weeks.
- 42:27Speaker 1: That's awesome, man, good for you.
- 42:29Speaker 3: And I wish I could say that I feel lighter
- 42:32Speaker 3: and better, but I really don't. I just feel like me.
- 42:35Speaker 3: But but having said that, I'm still kind of proud
- 42:37Speaker 3: that I've made it this huge. I want to keep
- 42:40Speaker 3: doing this because I know it's important to get my
- 42:42Speaker 3: diet on track now that I'm older one hundred percent.
- 42:46Speaker 1: We're all there, man, just in different ways.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Yeah. So I just wanted to report on that and
- 42:51Speaker 3: just keep in the loop that I'm still going. I'm
- 42:53Speaker 3: still going strong.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Yeah, no, keep it up.
- 42:55Speaker 3: I still have those weird after salad urbs which I
- 42:58Speaker 3: don't understand.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Front of the body. Now, Ship, we can do a
- 43:02Speaker 1: salad day one day. We do DN like, who come
- 43:04Speaker 1: over a bunch of options? I dude, I make salads
- 43:06Speaker 1: every day at work, like different types, and ship like,
- 43:09Speaker 1: I will notice the funk up on some stuff.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Just let me know because I always have to plan
- 43:15Speaker 3: my day. So you know, I'm gonna make sure I
- 43:16Speaker 3: get enough protein for lunch.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Oh, you'll get protein in your dinner. You don't worry
- 43:20Speaker 1: oh boy, Yeah, I made my salors right. Oh yeah,
- 43:24Speaker 1: all right, it's gonna be. It's a full fun.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Maybe I can take it easier for lunch.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Yeah, like you have a sandwich, or to have a
- 43:29Speaker 1: peanut buttered sandwich. Okay, because that's protein. That's good protein.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good sounding.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Oh okay. Last thing I totally forgot. We started with
- 43:36Speaker 1: this off break, but I acquire a computer from you,
- 43:40Speaker 1: Yes that you did, and holy this thing is fucking amazing.
- 43:46Speaker 1: So I wanted to separate my gaming and what I
- 43:52Speaker 1: do on my PC from what I do with the
- 43:54Speaker 1: editing and all the other stuff for bf Y and
- 43:57Speaker 1: I also want another machine for streaming when I I
- 44:00Speaker 1: have my off season. So I started streaming, and it's
- 44:03Speaker 1: a lot safer to do it that way, you have
- 44:04Speaker 1: another machine to stream for you.
- 44:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:06Speaker 1: So Aaron was kind enough to sell me a computer
- 44:08Speaker 1: he built, which is freaking insane and I love it. Yeah.
- 44:12Speaker 3: It was my It was my backup so to speak.
- 44:15Speaker 5: PC.
- 44:15Speaker 3: It was supposed to be my my emulation PC that
- 44:18Speaker 3: would just sit in my living room because my regular
- 44:21Speaker 3: PCs in my bedroom. But it would sit in my
- 44:23Speaker 3: living room if I just want to chill out and
- 44:25Speaker 3: play some old school games. It could play everything. It
- 44:28Speaker 3: had a rise In five twenty six hundred X. It
- 44:32Speaker 3: has sixteen gabytes of DAR for a RAM, and it
- 44:35Speaker 3: has a in Vidia GTX ten eighty graphic which was
- 44:40Speaker 3: expensive as hell when I bought it. It's probably still
- 44:44Speaker 3: worth a pretty penny now. But let's just say I
- 44:47Speaker 3: hadn't really looked into it. I was just like, this
- 44:50Speaker 3: thing's just sitting here. And I also have the MINIPC,
- 44:53Speaker 3: which is kind of is kind of as strong as this,
- 44:56Speaker 3: if not stronger, which is crazy. It didn't have the GPU,
- 45:00Speaker 3: you know, the same power, but the chip in it
- 45:02Speaker 3: was pretty good. It's a Rising nine or seven eighty
- 45:06Speaker 3: seven forty five in the Mini PC, and it's got
- 45:10Speaker 3: the integrated graphics is seven to eighty m, which is
- 45:14Speaker 3: really good. Right, it's outstanding. Absolutely impressed with the integrated
- 45:18Speaker 3: graphics on that thing. But anyway, I was like, having
- 45:21Speaker 3: this thing is kind of pointless, has just been sitting here.
- 45:23Speaker 3: So I took the big hard drive out of it.
- 45:25Speaker 3: It was like a twelve gaabyte hard drive that I
- 45:27Speaker 3: added to it to put all the Xbox three, sixty
- 45:29Speaker 3: and PS three games on it, and I just took
- 45:32Speaker 3: that out and I was like, well, now it's just
- 45:33Speaker 3: sitting here taking up space. I wonder if somebody could
- 45:36Speaker 3: use it. And I was like, ah, I'm just kind
- 45:37Speaker 3: of selling this PC. And I mentioned it's Stevie one
- 45:39Speaker 3: day and he's like, that's cool. He came back next
- 45:41Speaker 3: week and he was like, hey, you still selling this PC.
- 45:43Speaker 3: I'm like yeah, and he's like, i'll give you your
- 45:46Speaker 3: I think I offered it to you for two fifty
- 45:47Speaker 3: because I was like, I was trying to get three
- 45:49Speaker 3: hundred four it. But I'm like, i'll give it t
- 45:50Speaker 3: for two fifteen. And he's like sure. Yeah.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:53Speaker 3: He paged me right then and there and I'm like, here,
- 45:54Speaker 3: take it home. I did, and yeah, he's got it
- 45:57Speaker 3: set up. He's just showing me the picture.
- 45:58Speaker 7: Now.
- 45:59Speaker 3: He's got it set up on his desk, which is
- 46:01Speaker 3: an L shaped pest on either side of the L.
- 46:04Speaker 3: He has the desktop standing next to them, and he's
- 46:08Speaker 3: got this uber sexy fucking like like like cyberpunk almost
- 46:14Speaker 3: things sitting there. And then there's my plain little white box.
- 46:17Speaker 3: It's gorgeous there, man, he's a plain little white box.
- 46:20Speaker 3: It does have timber glass panel those.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty man gorgeous. It's nice and it was
- 46:24Speaker 1: great when I got home, Like, I started clearing the desk,
- 46:26Speaker 1: and the next day I was like, let's open this
- 46:28Speaker 1: bitch up because I happened to have matching another two
- 46:32Speaker 1: eight gigabyte U thirty two hundred mega hurt rams, So
- 46:36Speaker 1: now I'm already up to thirty two in there. And
- 46:39Speaker 1: you were right. There was another m dot two slot
- 46:40Speaker 1: which I happened to have at our five twelves.
- 46:42Speaker 9: So I didn't have to I didn't remove anything you
- 46:45Speaker 9: put on there, so I'm editing on that, and then
- 46:48Speaker 9: at my external two terrabyte MS m dot two and
- 46:51Speaker 9: expelsure I transfer from so I didn't have to.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Take anything out yet.
- 46:55Speaker 3: It already's been upgraded.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Dude, I can excited.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's awesome.
- 47:00Speaker 1: It's been my last couple of weeks. Ready to go, man, Right.
- 47:04Speaker 3: All right, I feel like we've taken another good chunky Sorry,
- 47:07Speaker 3: let's go to it. No, it's okay. We both wanted
- 47:09Speaker 3: to talk about things, but we've left Augie out. We
- 47:11Speaker 3: should we should correct that, So we're gonna go to
- 47:14Speaker 3: a quick break when we come back. Augie's gonna also
- 47:16Speaker 3: he's been up to right after.
- 47:18Speaker 10: This, Hey Jeff, what are we doing?
- 47:28Speaker 7: Why are you whispering?
- 47:30Speaker 11: Because all of our devices are constantly listening to us.
- 47:32Speaker 11: Unless we take massive efforts to protect our online privacy,
- 47:36Speaker 11: all the details of our lives will be in the
- 47:37Speaker 11: hands of mega corporations.
- 47:39Speaker 7: Okay, sure, but this is the promo for our podcast.
- 47:42Speaker 7: We need people to be able to hear us this time.
- 47:45Speaker 10: Why do we need a promo?
- 47:47Speaker 7: Oh funny you should ask. We're now members of the
- 47:49Speaker 7: Odd Pods Media Network.
- 47:50Speaker 11: Are they one of those global conglomerates.
- 47:52Speaker 7: No, they're just a really awesome podcast network full of
- 47:55Speaker 7: great shows like ours.
- 47:56Speaker 11: Well, is there anything specific we need to say?
- 47:59Speaker 7: We should probably what our podcast is about.
- 48:01Speaker 11: Oh, it's about how the algorithm shapes our lives and
- 48:04Speaker 11: how tech companies profit off our personal information. We dabble
- 48:07Speaker 11: in tech conspiracy theories and talk about how billionaires are
- 48:10Speaker 11: all buttholes.
- 48:11Speaker 7: I don't think we should say buttholes in.
- 48:13Speaker 11: The promo, but we already did twice.
- 48:17Speaker 7: Join us every other Monday for new episodes of Suggested
- 48:20Speaker 7: Articles a podcast.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for part three, and
- 48:35Speaker 3: this is gonna be all about Augie. Yeah, what up,
- 48:38Speaker 3: Sun's up? What you've been up too lately? What you've
- 48:41Speaker 3: been in the middle of What has got your fancy? Yeah?
- 48:44Speaker 5: So, as I mentioned before, I've been playing a lot
- 48:46Speaker 5: of Monster Hunter. Yes, I'm jumping back and forth between
- 48:48Speaker 5: World and Rise. It's kind of funny because they consider
- 48:51Speaker 5: Rise the easiest in the series that I found it
- 48:55Speaker 5: to be more difficult. Maybe it's just maybe it's again,
- 48:58Speaker 5: it could just be in the controls a little bit
- 49:00Speaker 5: different because they are a little bit more original in controls.
- 49:03Speaker 5: World was definitely more built for a Western audience. It
- 49:07Speaker 5: was definitely meant to attract the West, essentially to this
- 49:11Speaker 5: famously Japanese game, to widen that audience, bring more fans
- 49:16Speaker 5: into the fold kind of thing. And then Rise was
- 49:18Speaker 5: kind of like that, Okay, and this is what it's
- 49:20Speaker 5: kind of really like. But it's also still supposedly easier
- 49:24Speaker 5: than so that way you can kind of ease into
- 49:26Speaker 5: the controls. And there's a newly announced and newly released one,
- 49:30Speaker 5: Wilds that just came out, and yeah, that's that's interesting.
- 49:35Speaker 5: I haven't looked at.
- 49:36Speaker 4: It at all.
- 49:37Speaker 5: All I know is, well, I say I haven't looked
- 49:40Speaker 5: at it. All as I proceed to tell you what's
- 49:42Speaker 5: in it. There is a monster that has an attack
- 49:45Speaker 5: that basically shifts in your face. I wish I was kidding.
- 49:51Speaker 5: I don't think I'm gonna play that one with you,
- 49:54Speaker 5: as it's got fans tell you let's see here and rise.
- 50:03Speaker 5: You got a thing called a palamute, which was a
- 50:05Speaker 5: dog that you could basically ride but also help fight
- 50:07Speaker 5: the monster like a mallemute. It's a palute like a calico.
- 50:16Speaker 5: But what it's called a but And I don't actually
- 50:23Speaker 5: know the names of these things because I never bothered
- 50:25Speaker 5: to look that up. But the fact is in Wilds
- 50:28Speaker 5: you ride around on chocobos. I again wish I was lying.
- 50:34Speaker 5: But if you look at them, they at a glance
- 50:38Speaker 5: they look like jocobos. They're not legally distinct.
- 50:43Speaker 3: You know.
- 50:43Speaker 5: Don't want Capcom and Square Reading Square off against each other.
- 50:46Speaker 3: They're they're not.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Very soon. The old people are.
- 50:59Speaker 5: Fighting for life again.
- 51:04Speaker 1: This is a vision after each other. That's all the
- 51:09Speaker 1: corporations will die.
- 51:11Speaker 5: But yeah, so that's that's fun. Also, everybody like really
- 51:15Speaker 5: loves the Blacksmith and that one apparently she's super hot.
- 51:18Speaker 1: But yeah, that.
- 51:19Speaker 5: Is what it is other than that. Again, I also
- 51:22Speaker 5: mentioned previously that I've been working on other campaigns, obviously
- 51:26Speaker 5: working on the one we're playing, trying to make it
- 51:28Speaker 5: as entertaining as possible. Honestly, I don't have to do much.
- 51:31Speaker 5: You guys sem a really good job of entertaining yourselves.
- 51:34Speaker 5: It's fun at you occasionally, and then you just find
- 51:38Speaker 5: a way to direction. You find a way to make
- 51:41Speaker 5: it go off the rails when it doesn't need to
- 51:43Speaker 5: go off the rails. Yeah, but you've also done really
- 51:47Speaker 5: fucking well. I'll be honest, I'm excited to get to
- 51:51Speaker 5: the nitty gritty in it. And then of course the
- 51:53Speaker 5: other campaign that I'm also working on that I've actually
- 51:57Speaker 5: been writing notes on that.
- 51:58Speaker 3: I've been popping in my head.
- 52:01Speaker 5: I'm interested in looking at cause it's it's something that
- 52:04Speaker 5: I never really did, except I have to a certain degree.
- 52:09Speaker 5: My very first DM experience was with you and Butter.
- 52:15Speaker 12: Yeah, and I did like a World of war that
- 52:18Speaker 12: was basically they had like the stats and anything like that,
- 52:21Speaker 12: like somebody already put everything together. I just had to
- 52:24Speaker 12: read up on it, and I'm like, okay, So I
- 52:26Speaker 12: had them basically play through World of Warcraft but Butter
- 52:30Speaker 12: being Butter, He's like, I don't want to play a
- 52:32Speaker 12: normal race.
- 52:32Speaker 5: I want to play one of the monster races. So
- 52:34Speaker 5: he's like naga. So that was my first experience playing
- 52:37Speaker 5: with monster races, and I never really did it again
- 52:41Speaker 5: since then. So for this one campaign, I'm like, At first,
- 52:46Speaker 5: I'm like, Okay, yeah, undead, that's fine whatever, because there's
- 52:50Speaker 5: with Pathfinder. They have the stats for it, which is
- 52:52Speaker 5: kind of cool. Yeah, but I'm like, Okay, no vampires,
- 52:55Speaker 5: and then I'm like, you know what, fucking do vampires.
- 52:57Speaker 1: I don't give a shit.
- 52:58Speaker 5: I don't care how broke it gets because it's meant
- 52:59Speaker 5: to it's meant to be fun. But I'm excited to
- 53:04Speaker 5: do that one just because it actually has a tie
- 53:08Speaker 5: into another campaign that I wanted to do that we
- 53:11Speaker 5: started but haven't gotten back to, which is star Finders.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, and that fun.
- 53:17Speaker 5: And by the way, star Finder I have two separate
- 53:21Speaker 5: things for it, because the idea was I was going
- 53:24Speaker 5: to have two different parties. One my one friends were
- 53:27Speaker 5: gonna play, and then I was gonna find four others
- 53:31Speaker 5: to play the other one. I literally had two separate
- 53:34Speaker 5: campaigns set up and the first one was the revolution
- 53:36Speaker 5: and the second one was called to be televised, and
- 53:40Speaker 5: they were going to be one was going to be
- 53:43Speaker 5: following like the rebels I had kind of set up
- 53:46Speaker 5: and the kind of like the the outskirts and like
- 53:49Speaker 5: the actual like normal like average living people, and the
- 53:54Speaker 5: other one was going to follow the like the corporation
- 53:58Speaker 5: like empires that are basically controlling everything kind of thing.
- 54:02Speaker 5: They're going to basically be in the same world, but
- 54:05Speaker 5: they were going to be doing two separate things.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Was it going to be the same players for each.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Two different groups? Two different groups they're playing different days.
- 54:14Speaker 3: It was gonna be.
- 54:15Speaker 5: Different days, and like another day I was going to
- 54:19Speaker 5: do another.
- 54:20Speaker 3: Do the campaigns influence each other at all?
- 54:22Speaker 5: Yeah, they were going to indirectly influence each other. You
- 54:26Speaker 5: were never going to directly run into each other.
- 54:28Speaker 3: But they wouldn't know what had happened with the other team.
- 54:31Speaker 1: No, Well, they result.
- 54:35Speaker 5: All you hear is the results. So say, if like,
- 54:38Speaker 5: for instance, if your team was the one that was
- 54:40Speaker 5: working with the corporations or working alongside them, were just
- 54:43Speaker 5: working for them for one reason or another or whatever
- 54:45Speaker 5: whatever justification it would be, you would hear about if
- 54:49Speaker 5: the rebel group is like, hey, they just blew up
- 54:52Speaker 5: this corporation's like checkpointer or whatever. You wouldn't be there
- 54:58Speaker 5: to interfere. You wouldn't be there to anything about it,
- 55:01Speaker 5: but you would hear about it, and maybe it affects
- 55:03Speaker 5: something like maybe you hear about now the corporations are
- 55:06Speaker 5: looking for people to kind of help with moving this stuff,
- 55:10Speaker 5: like certain supply through this area now because now it's
- 55:13Speaker 5: less safe because the other team made it less safe
- 55:16Speaker 5: for the corporations, and vice versa. This corporation has come
- 55:21Speaker 5: in and strong arming these people and they're being you
- 55:25Speaker 5: know whatever.
- 55:28Speaker 1: What would they would never meet up, what would not
- 55:29Speaker 1: even at the very end of session, So what would.
- 55:32Speaker 7: The end game have been?
- 55:34Speaker 5: The end game would have been, Yeah, I was working
- 55:37Speaker 5: on that.
- 55:38Speaker 3: I was gonna say yeah, because but I never.
- 55:40Speaker 5: Got But it never went anywhere because I never found
- 55:42Speaker 5: this one. I never found a second party because they
- 55:45Speaker 5: were all busy and some like real life bad stuff happened,
- 55:49Speaker 5: so we couldn't go together and not like not any
- 55:52Speaker 5: animosity ship between us, but like people got some kind
- 55:56Speaker 5: of thing help. Yeah, and the other party something started
- 56:01Speaker 5: with Steve and Butter, But then we only did like
- 56:04Speaker 5: one small uh session, and then we never got back
- 56:08Speaker 5: to it because then we pivoted to.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Because that's a really interesting idea. I personally would have
- 56:15Speaker 3: wanted them to meet up.
- 56:16Speaker 1: At some point, have had like one like giant table.
- 56:22Speaker 5: Like it wasn't everybody said so like it could have.
- 56:25Speaker 5: It could have ended that way. But the most part
- 56:28Speaker 5: it is it.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Is a cool idea. It's ambitious as fuck.
- 56:32Speaker 5: Well it was gonna be like once one because my
- 56:35Speaker 5: one set of friends would have wanted to played once
- 56:37Speaker 5: a month and my other set of friends would have
- 56:38Speaker 5: wanted to play like once a month. So I'm like, okay,
- 56:40Speaker 5: I just choose two different days. Yeah yeah, be perfect,
- 56:43Speaker 5: and I get to play D and D twice.
- 56:45Speaker 3: Hell yeah, win win.
- 56:48Speaker 5: But not with this one. This one's what one group.
- 56:51Speaker 3: So just much simpler, keep it keep it down to
- 56:54Speaker 3: earth fair fair anything else.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Not really.
- 56:59Speaker 5: I mean the season is changing, despite getting warm and
- 57:03Speaker 5: then cold right now, hopefully warm again after this week.
- 57:07Speaker 5: So I'm just waiting my years of the ground, waiting
- 57:09Speaker 5: for my work season to start, and then I'll be
- 57:11Speaker 5: doing mostly that for the summer.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be fun to reach out of the house
- 57:16Speaker 1: and outside.
- 57:17Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, nice, right, yeah, all right, well yeah that
- 57:24Speaker 6: is pretty much that.
- 57:26Speaker 3: So thank you so much for listening, guys. I hope
- 57:30Speaker 3: you enjoyed our our chill episode as much as we
- 57:32Speaker 3: enjoyed just hanging out and chilling and just gabbing at
- 57:36Speaker 3: each other about all the cool stuff we're up to. Uh.
- 57:39Speaker 3: And there's a lot of cool stuff apparently coming up.
- 57:42Speaker 3: Not to mention, I should mention Rayka came out last week.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Didn't even really say anything about it. It's too early
- 57:49Speaker 3: to say whether it's a massive success. But I mean
- 57:51Speaker 3: the Amazon sales charts looks actually pretty good.
- 57:54Speaker 1: That's good. So we're the locations to get it with
- 57:57Speaker 1: what should people do to get it?
- 57:59Speaker 3: Amazon on dot Com, Burnes and Noble has got it.
- 58:02Speaker 3: You can also go to pretty much any other online bookstore.
- 58:06Speaker 3: You'll probably find it there. If you want to save
- 58:08Speaker 3: a little money, you can probably get it at thrift books.
- 58:11Speaker 3: And I still get paid, so you know, it's not
- 58:13Speaker 3: a big deal. But yeah, it's there's a bunch of
- 58:17Speaker 3: places you can get it. It's called Raika R E
- 58:19Speaker 3: K H A and The Inevitability of Life. Uh, and
- 58:23Speaker 3: it's available wherever fine books are sold. Currently in physical
- 58:26Speaker 3: and ebook only. Audiobook is a thing of the future,
- 58:29Speaker 3: which hopefully I will get around to finding a way
- 58:31Speaker 3: to do both inexpensively and make it pretty good at
- 58:37Speaker 3: the same time. Yes, we'll see about that. It's gonna
- 58:41Speaker 3: depend on a lot of things, mostly the lottery paying out.
- 58:45Speaker 3: But these things are expensive and I don't want to
- 58:49Speaker 3: do another Kickstarter, God help me. It's it's too much
- 58:53Speaker 3: literally in any event. So that's that's available, so please
- 58:59Speaker 3: check it out see if it's your but you know
- 59:01Speaker 3: your thing and the physical book is seventeen ninety nine
- 59:06Speaker 3: and the e book is four ninety nine and Thane
- 59:10Speaker 3: the e book has dropped two two ninety nine as well,
- 59:13Speaker 3: so just to you know, kind of invite readers to
- 59:15Speaker 3: get into it, and then maybe you decide to pick
- 59:18Speaker 3: up Rake along the way.
- 59:19Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 59:21Speaker 3: So yeah, all good stuff in the book world. Only
- 59:25Speaker 3: had a couple of reviews come in, but so far
- 59:26Speaker 3: they've been stellar, which is awesome. I'm happy to see that,
- 59:31Speaker 3: and I want more. So if you have read Raka
- 59:33Speaker 3: and you haven't left a review on Amazon and good Reads,
- 59:36Speaker 3: please do so. That helps. It really does, even if
- 59:40Speaker 3: it's not a great review, even if you only just
- 59:42Speaker 3: thought it was okay or you didn't even like it.
- 59:44Speaker 3: Please feel free to leave an honest review somewhere because
- 59:48Speaker 3: it all matters, it all helps, and you might say
- 59:50Speaker 3: something to make me go, oh, you know what I
- 59:52Speaker 3: should think of that for next time. Yeah, you know,
- 59:54Speaker 3: it'll make me a better writer. So you know, please
- 59:56Speaker 3: feel free, and that's going to be it for me.
- 59:59Speaker 3: Let's get onto our out of the show for bfy TW,

- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Patreon listeners to listen to, and sometimes they're funnier than
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: the show. It does happen, and a lot of people
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: enjoy our pre shows and breaks and stuff, so that's
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: why we post them. But there's a lot of other
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: extra stuff up there too. Steve and Augie both have

- 1:01:11Speaker 3: five bucks, it's a pretty damn good deal. But that
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: is going to be it from us. Why because fuck you,
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: That's why.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: I'd say it differently every time, I know, I try
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: to mimic what you did, and I like watch your
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: lists and see if I can do it. It'll sounds
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: kind of weird because every sound.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: Almost like echo.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: It will it's gonna be interesting.
