- 0:26as a solo crew member, and proving women could
- 0:29perform demanding piloting duties. Her flight
- 0:33became a landmark in human space exploration,
- 0:36inspiring generations, and expanding acceptance
- 0:39of women's roles in technical and aeronautical
- 0:42fields. So now you know. And now, it's time for

- 2:50day from 8 to 5. So stop on by and don't forget
- 2:54to tell them. Sunny mornings send you. In local
- 2:59news, Rod Stewart is facing online backlash for
- 3:03attending a World Cup match in Foxborough, less
- 3:06than 24 hours after canceling a concert in California
- 3:09due to health concerns. The British singer -songwriter,
- 3:14age 81, shared a video on Instagram showing himself
- 3:17and his two sons aboard a private jet. excited
- 3:21about the Haiti vs. Scotland match at Gillette
- 3:24Stadium. Critics quickly pointed out the irony
- 3:27of his travel plans following his cancellation,
- 3:30calling the decision insensitive and disingenuous.
- 3:35Despite the backlash, some fans defended Stewart,
- 3:38emphasizing that health issues could impact his
- 3:41performance, but not necessarily his ability
- 3:44to travel. Now on to sports. Texas head coach
- 3:54Steve Sarkisian said he would not be surprised
- 3:57if Arch Manning bypassed the 2027 National Football
- 4:01League draft and stayed in college for a fifth
- 4:04year. He stated, I think Arch really loves college
- 4:08football. I really do. Sarkisian noted Manning
- 4:12has pretty good endorsements due to his family's
- 4:15lineage and the University of Texas brand. He
- 4:18added that Manning's decision could depend on
- 4:21the team's performance this fall and how he plays
- 4:24individually. Despite a challenging season, Manning
- 4:28is still considered one of the top prospects
- 4:30in college football. A strong season in 2026
- 4:34could make him the favorite for the first overall
- 4:37pick. In local sports, the Red Sox are in crossroads
- 4:42territory. 29 -40, they've tumbled to last place
- 4:47in the AL East, and the front office is preparing
- 4:50to sell. Sonny Gray just became a prime deadline
- 4:54asset, the starters 4 -1 with a 3 .18 era, dominant
- 4:59since returning from injury. With Atlanta's Spencer
- 5:03Strider shut down, Gray could fetch serious value.
- 5:08But Boston's real problem runs deeper. A year
- 5:12after shipping Raphael Devers to San Francisco,
- 5:15the offense has cratered. The return of Kyle
- 5:18Harrison and James Tibbs hasn't replaced what
- 5:21they gave up, and it shows. Tonight at 6 .45,
- 5:26the Red Sox host Toronto, looking to bounce back
- 5:29after dropping Sunday's series finale to Texas.
- 5:33Peyton Tall takes the mound against Dylan Cease.
- 5:37The Sox took two of three from the Rangers, showing
- 5:41they can win. They just need to find consistency.
- 5:45Meanwhile, the Celtics are making a serious run
- 5:48at Giannis Antetokounmpo. The pursuit is very
- 5:52real, with Miami as the main competition. Milwaukee
- 5:56wants draft capital and youth, not just Jalen
- 6:00Brown. Portland, Houston, and Atlanta are interested
- 6:04in Brown. and the league expects a deal before
- 6:07the draft on June 23rd. On the ice, the Bruins
- 6:12signed young Swiss center Atilio Biasca, a strategic
- 6:16death move after a strong breakout year overseas.
- 6:21In top news, Fox Corporation has agreed to buy
- 6:26the streaming pioneer Roku in a cash -in -stock
- 6:28deal valued at approximately $22 billion, including
- 6:33debt. Roku will continue to operate as an open,
- 6:37partner -friendly platform, with no immediate
- 6:40changes for customers. The combined company will
- 6:43become the third largest player in U .S. television
- 6:46by share of viewing. Fox will gain access to
- 6:50over 100 million global households and the Roku
- 6:53channel. Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch stated that
- 6:57this combination will enhance advertising and
- 7:00streaming subscriptions. The deal is expected
- 7:03to close in the first half of next year, pending
- 7:06shareholder and regulatory approval. In business
- 7:10news, people in China are watching the World
- 7:14Cup differently this time. Long gone are the
- 7:18days when catching World Cup soccer games on
- 7:20the go meant buying a portable mini -television
- 7:23set. Instead, consumers in China can just whip
- 7:27out their phones. Soccer is popular in China.
- 7:31even if the national team has not qualified for
- 7:34the World Cup since 2002. This year, Chinese
- 7:38social media company Via Homshu won the rights
- 7:42to stream the World Cup games for free to all
- 7:45users. The app is sometimes compared to Meta's
- 7:48Instagram. Widespread 5G connectivity helps,
- 7:52as people in China spend 40 % of their daily
- 7:56mobile phone time watching videos. In crypto
- 7:59movement, Bitcoin is unchanged at just under
- 8:03$66 ,000. Ethereum is up 3 % to just under $1
- 8:10,800. And XRP is up 2 .5 % to $1 .22. Moving
- 8:18on to a more local vibe. In our community spotlight
- 8:22on health and wellness, we are working with a

- 8:58to tell them. Sunny morning sent you by. And
- 9:02now, back to the show. Let's talk tech. Anthropic
- 9:08is still at odds with the White House over the
- 9:11Claude Fabel 5 model. Trump administration officials
- 9:15concluded talks with Anthropic without lifting
- 9:18export controls imposed last week due to jailbreaking
- 9:21concerns. The administration continues to believe
- 9:24there are ways to disable some guardrails on
- 9:27Claude Fabel 5. allowing access to more powerful
- 9:30cybersecurity capabilities. Anthropic has stated
- 9:35that the administration's concerns are overblown.
- 9:38The Commerce Department is willing to bring Fable
- 9:415 back online for consumer use, contingent on
- 9:44resolving jailbreak concerns. These emergency
- 9:48talks come at a politically charged time for
- 9:50Anthropic, which is also in conflict with the
- 9:53Pentagon over military applications of its AI
- 9:56models. And in entertainment news, Neymar Jr.,
- 10:04the Brazilian football icon, is launching an
- 10:07AI -powered microdrama slate with Flare Flow
- 10:09featuring 16 titles. This partnership, announced
- 10:14during the 2026 World Cup, creates a live -action
- 10:18franchise showcasing Neymar's global appeal.
- 10:21The first wave of titles, including The Way Back
- 10:24to Glory, will debut from June 19th to June 22nd.
- 10:29James Wang, CEO of Flareflow, emphasized that
- 10:33this partnership pushes storytelling boundaries
- 10:35using advanced AI workflows. Timotheo from COL
- 10:41Group noted the strategy's aim to engage over
- 10:44200 million daily active users in China. Neymar's
- 10:49journey includes intriguing titles like Fake
- 10:51Neymar, Real God, and the limping janitor is
- 10:55the true world football king. Well, alrighty
- 10:59folks, it's time for the quote of the day. And
- 11:03today, our quote comes from the American poet
- 11:06and civil rights activist Audre Lorde. And she
- 11:10said, When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength
- 11:14in the service of my vision, then it becomes
- 11:17less and less important whether I am afraid.
- 11:21And that's a wrap for this morning. You can check
- 11:25out our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. for some
- 11:28captivating aerial videos with local news and
- 11:32the weather reports. Have an amazing day, my
