- Craig: Well welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig, and if you're new here, hit that like button, hit the subscribe button, drop a comment down below. Today we are back with another mock draft, a 12 team PPR on sleeper draft. These have been ⁓ very popular this offseason. Something I've really looked forward to doing. We are gonna just jump right over to sleeper right now. As you can see, we have a 12 team PPR. We are drafting from the 12th spot against 11 bots. You never know what you're gonna get here. Let's just jump right into it and see how this thing goes. ⁓ we will go right on cue. Jamar Chase goes number one, I guess, in a PPR, full PPR league. I I don't really hate that. ⁓ it's definitely different. But Bijan Robinson goes as the ⁓ seventh player off the board at that 107 pick. So definitely a very strange draft already. Jamar Chase, Jameer Gibbs, Puka Nakua, Amon Ross St. Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, B. John Robinson, James Cook, Jackson Smith, and Jigba, CeeDee Lamb, and Chase Brown all go in the first round before us. So we are sitting here now at the 112. We're going to take a look over here at the available players. We've got Justin Jefferson, Devon H., Saquon Barkley, Ashton Genty, and O'Marian Hampton as the top guys on the board. ⁓ we're gonna go ahead and take Justin Jefferson with our first pick. Sure up that wide receiver one position. Definitely has some concerns there, or I definitely have some concerns on Justin Jefferson, have some worries about him, but I think him and Kyler will figure it out as the season goes. There's no way Minnesota lets another season go by with Justin Jefferson. Having a disappointing season like last year. I think they get it figured out. They get him the ball in a lot of different ways this year, and he pays off at the end of that first round draft pick. So now we're going to take a look at the running back position just because we already have our wide receiver one. We'll look at the running back position. Achan has some question marks. Barkley, I'm starting to come around a little bit more on Barkley. Ashton Jensi is there dealing with that injury. Omarion Hampton, somebody that I'm very high on, and Kenneth Walker. If this were a real draft, I probably don't take this guy, but considering this is a practice draft and it's a guy that I haven't taken a whole lot of this year, I want to see how the team shakes out with him as my running back. We're gonna go ahead and take Saquon Barkley. I think he has a bounce back season from last year, obviously two years ago, dominated the NFL, dominated fantasy football, and then last year was a little bit of a more disappointing season. I think with a new ⁓ coaching, I think he bounces back a little bit, has a little bit bigger season. So after Saquon goes Jeremiah Love, George Pickens, Kyron Williams, Rasheed Rice, Malik Neighbors in the middle of the third, Brees Hall, Josh Jacobs, Lamar Jackson, Devonta Smith, Olave, Loveland, and is back to us. We are sitting here with our top wide receiver and our top running back. Looking at the available players on the board, we've got T. Higgins, Javante Williams, Tet McMillan, and Lad McConkey, Ameka Abuka. Zay Flowers and Bucky Irving all sitting there. We're gonna go ahead and take a guy at the running back position who had a pretty good season last year for the Cowboys. Somebody who is kind of slept on. ⁓ he was very, very exciting as a rookie in Denver, had some injuries there that kind of knocked him back, never really returned to form, but I think he's in. Such a good position in Dallas. I think that they have a much better defense this year. They're going to want to run the ball a little bit more this year. And I'm going to go ahead and take Javante Williams. Maybe not the strongest pick there or the most flashy pick, but a guy that I think is a very solid running back to. I've already got Saquon Barkley. And I think, you know, I know that the NFC East, they have to score a lot of points. Dallas is going to have to score a lot of points. I think Javante Williams. ⁓ could pay off big time there and be a very solid running back, too. We'll go ahead now. There's a obviously a run of wide receivers on the board here at the start of the fourth round. This is kind of that range where you get all of those guys that go at the wide receiver position. We're gonna look just for a split second at the tight end position. You've got Tyler Warren, Sam Laporta, and Tucker Kraft. Little early for some of those guys. We'll look over at the quarterback position. Drake May, somebody who I'm very, very high on this year, but I don't know that I want to take him that early in the draft. I'll probably wait on the on the quarterback and on tight end, and we'll go ahead and get another wide receiver. You've got T. Higgins. He's the wide receiver two there in Cincinnati. He's up and down. I think he has some very, very big games, some very big years. He's just somebody that I've always not gotten great vibes about. I've tried to stay away from. And I think everybody has those players ⁓ that you maybe don't maybe you don't like ⁓ Maybe you don't like watching them, you don't like supporting them, or maybe you've been burned by them in the past, maybe you just get weird vibes. And you've got to listen to your gut when it comes to drafting in fantasy football. For me, T. Higgins is one of those guys. The talent's there, the situation's there. I just get such a weird vibe about him. So I typically try to stay away from him. ⁓ but a guy that I am very high on this year is Lad McConkey in ⁓ Los Angeles. I think he could dominate in targets this year, get back to that rookie form that he had with Justin Herbert. The Chargers offense is going to be very, very good this year. And I think Ladd McConkey leads the way for the Chargers. So we'll go ahead and take him as our wide receiver too. We'll pair him with Justin Jefferson, Saquon Barkley, and Javante Williams. And right after Ladd McConkey goes T Higgins, Ameka Abuka, Tet McMillan, Montgomery, Flowers, Scataboo. Bucky, Tyler Warren, Travis H. And Jr., ⁓ Drake May, Garrett Wilson, somebody else who I'm very high on, DeAndre Swift, Jalen Waddell, Quint Quinshawn Judkins, Devontae Adams, Joe Burrow, Burden, Moore, McLaurin, Kraft, Henderson, and Odunze back to us at the five twelve. We'll go ahead and naturally take another look at the tight end position. Sam Laporta, Kyle Pitts, Harold Fannon are all there available. ⁓ we'll look back at the wide receiver position, Jamison Williams, Mike Evans, Carnell Tate, and Christian Watson. The running backs, Bashall Tutin, Jadarian Price, Jalen Warren, and Chuba Hubbard. And at the quarterback position, you've got Jalen Hurts, Jaden Daniels, Caleb Williams, Dak Prescott. We are going to go ahead and do something that we don't typically do. And we're going to go ahead and stack up our tight end and our running or a tight end and our quarterback here in the fifth and sixth round. We'll go ahead and take Sam Laporta at the end of the fifth, and we will take Jaden Daniels just a little bit higher on him than Jalen Hurts. Plus, I have Saquon Barkley already on my team, so I don't really want Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. So I'll go with Jaden Daniels, hoping that the rushing ⁓ returns from that rookie season, the touchdowns return, and he returns to a top elite quarterback in fantasy football. We'll go ahead and take him and we'll take a look at our roster now. We've got Jaden Daniels, Saquon Barkley, Javante Williams, Justin Jefferson, Ladd McConkey, and Sam Laporta at our starting lineup. Not necessarily something that you have to do or always want to do is fill out that starting lineup top to bottom. Sometimes it's better to just load up on a position, wide receiver or running back, and even fill out your bench in those positions before you go on to another position. I've talked at great lengths on this channel about how I I always like to wait at quarterback and tight end. I like to fill out the wide receivers and the running backs. But this specific draft, we're trying something a little different. We're trying to go for a more balanced approach from top to bottom. ⁓ and now that we have our starting lineup, we will go ahead and find that flex position and our four bench spots. ⁓ in this draft, we're not doing a defense or a kicker or a bunch of bench spots, just four bench spots. So we are down to our final five picks here. ⁓ we are in the end of the seventh round and we're looking for wide receiver and running back depth. Take a look over here at the running back position. Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle, J.K. Dobbins, Kyle Manungay, and Blake Corum are the available running backs there. Wide receivers, Cortland Sutton, Mikhail Lemon, Jordan Tyson, and Chris Godwin. Nobody that I really love at the wide receiver position. ⁓ Sutton, up and down, but they bring in Jalen Waddell now, and I just think that's going to affect Cortland Sutton a little bit. Mikai Lemon, I'm I'm excited about, I'm intrigued about. I'm a little worried about that Philadelphia offense. I've got the running back there in Philadelphia and Saquon Barkley. I'm a little worried about the passing offense in Philadelphia. Jordan Tyson, I'm worried about those hamstrings. Brother, you got to stretch or something. I don't know what's going on. Got some issues with those hamstrings. We'll go back over to the running back position. I feel like Rico Dowdle is a safe pick. ⁓ I think he's going to be the guy in Pittsburgh. I just don't know how much volume they're gonna have as an offense. I think they're gonna be a very slow offense. They're not gonna run a ton of plays. Great God will score some touchdowns, but I just worry about overall usage. JK Dobbins, he should be the running back one on what should be a very good offense in Denver. I worry about ⁓ their total number of plays as well, kind of a slower offense as well, but should get some work. ⁓ we're gonna go ahead and just we're gonna get a couple. of running backs here. Running back is always a position that's harder to fill as the season goes. So we're going to go ahead and take JK Dobbins and then we're going to take a swing on a guy that we take in almost every draft. ⁓ a guy in the eighth round, the beginning of the eighth round, but I think that's where I probably have to take him and that's Jonathan Brooks. I have been very vocal all offseason about my love for Jonathan Brooks and what I think he could do this year. We'll take him at the start of the eighth round and he'll be our first bench piece. After him goes Sutton, Pollard, Lemon, Kittle, Tyson, Dowdle, Kincaid, Pierce, Godwin, Manungay, Pittman, Madison, Downs, Diggs, Likely, Stafford, Kelsey, Reed, Ferguson, Lawrence, Coram, and Gainwell. It is back to us. We net we definitely need some wide receivers. I would take Quentin Johnston had I not already had Ladd McConkey on our team, but we will stay away from that. We are gonna go with another running back, regardless of Needing a wide receiver. We're going to get another running back who I've been very vocal on, and that is Jordan Mason in Minnesota. I think he's going to have a very, very big year for the Vikings. And then we're going to come down here on the wide receiver. Jacoby Myers, I think, could be an absolute stud for the Jaguars. I do think that Brian Thomas Jr. is going to get back to form in his rookie year. He's going to dominate the targets in Jacksonville, but Jacoby Myers in this late of a a pick I think could be very, very big, but I'm gonna take a swing on a guy who has really shown out in preseason in off in ⁓ training camp, and that's KC Concepcion. That's a guy that I have not had a lot of stocks in in the mock draft. I'm gonna take a swing there. I've got the upside of Brooks, Mason, and Concepcion on the bench. I think that one of those guys is gonna pop for sure. And then with my last pick, we are gonna see how this all shakes out. And it all shakes out exactly how I was hoping to. I don't know in a real draft if this actually would happen, but a guy in Dejan Stribling who I am very, very high on, I am going to take the upside swing on him as well. And I'm going to go ahead and draft Dijon Stribling as my last bench player. I think just with the guys that are going around him, they do not match his upside at all. I think Stribling could be a definite wide receiver too. Especially as Mike Evans is already banged up a ton right now. Ricky Pearsall is out for the year. George Kittle coming back from injury. They have to throw it to somebody. And I think Stribbling is a very, very key piece of that offense. They're very high on him when they drafted him. He's gonna break onto the scene this year. It's just a matter of when. ⁓ so we'll take a one more look at the team. We've got Jaden Daniels, Saquon Barkley, Javante Williams, Justin Jefferson, Ladd McConkey, Sam Laporta. And then J.K. Dobbins, Jonathan Brooks, Jordan Mason, KC Conception, and Dejan Stribling. ⁓ the bench really, really drops. ⁓ but that's kind of how I like to draft my teams. You know, you could go with a lot safer picks there in the ⁓ bench range, a lot more well-known names. But if you're trying to win a fantasy championship, you have to have these guys that are gonna break out. Of these five guys, somebody's gonna burn me. Probably a few of them are gonna burn me. But just having one of those guys that goes off and breaks out is going to make the difference throughout the season. ⁓ throughout the season, the guys that burn me, I'll be able to cut ties with. I don't have a lot of emotional attachment to them. They I didn't pay a high price. I can drop them very easily, pick up some other guys that can give me solid production throughout the year. But if just one or two of these guys at the bottom of my bench blow up. That is how you win a fantasy championship right there. Thanks for checking it out today, guys. Let me know down in the comments who you would have rather had, who you're looking forward to drafting this year if you haven't already had your draft. And I will catch you guys on the next one. See ya.
