- 0:02SPEAKER_02: Uh I was wondering what the birthday was.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: It is February 8th, 1954.
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna guess you're not in 1954.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no, no.
- 0:15SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: Oh god, no problem.
- 0:17SPEAKER_02: Hey, by the way.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Does your grandma have that birthday?
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Well, it's too late now.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: Does your Mall have that birthday?
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Side note, this unfortunately no.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Side note, this just jumped to$848 next week.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, somebody's gonna be very lucky.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: Maybe you.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: It could be your new new next week.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: Well, good luck.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Your new new.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: Your jibjib, whatever you call her.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, or it just could be you.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: Okay, I guess I'm gonna take it off Scott and Alley's stories since nobody won it this week.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Yep, you got well, we wait until next week.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: All right, so we gotta come back to this.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: See, this is why.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: This text right here proves my question of what is acceptable today.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: See, there was so much that was acceptable back in the day, but now we keep coming into, well, we can't do that anymore.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: Well, I was just wondering.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: I don't know if we can or can't.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: It's just something that I've remembered when I was a kid.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: I would be at a pool and my parents would shove me right in the pool.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: And you know it was the worst.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: It was less on Mark, more on Gail.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Gail's the shover.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not surprised at all.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: So you get a shovel.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: That's all right.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: She got her, you got your revenge.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: She got drop foot and had to have surgery.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: So all the pain she gave you for those years, that's right.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: Karma.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: By the way, she's doing very well.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: Yes, my mom had surgery two days ago, something like that.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: Anyway.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: So I I I said, Is this still okay?
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: Can we still do this?
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: Can you shove your kid in a pool?
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: And 8456 said, I guess it depends on the kid.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: My seven-year-old, for sure, I would push her in the pool all the time.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: But my four-year-old doesn't like to be pushed to the pool pool pushed in the pool.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: Well no, nobody likes it.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: But then in the minute they hit the water and their body adjusts, they're like, ha ha ha ha! And you can't get them out.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: You know, I think we should start pushing nobody likes it.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: I think we should start pushing early and often.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: Because do you remember do you remember being at a pool party?
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: And there would always be the kid, like anytime you would splash them, they became a big whiny baby crybaby, and you're like, oh my gosh, little, you know, crybaby Zach.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: Shh, don't tell myself that.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: You might get another no this weekend from whatever.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Listen here.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, you just made a fist after 20 years.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Get over it.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: I think he's finally growing a set with you.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: He's gonna start saying it more.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: Nope.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: So anyway, so there was always there was always the crybaby at the pool party.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: I can't get my eyes wet.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: I can't get my hair wet.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: I'm like, your your parent obviously didn't shove you in a pool and it shows.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: I can't take it.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: I wanna I wanna be I wanna be with the kids at the pool party where they're on the raft, and I'm like, dunno.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: You're the shark.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: And then I go underneath the raft and whoosh, everybody's like, Well, see, you're the okay, but the pool bird that baby crybaby Zach.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Don't tell them.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Don't tell him.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Um The thing is at a pool party, likely one of your friends are gonna do it, which you have no problem with.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Really, this stems from is the guardian of the child still allowed to do it without having the county knock at the door later.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Wait, let me give you another one then yesterday.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: I'm at Martha Lloyd.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: And this I've seen this twice in one week.
- 3:26SPEAKER_02: I'm at Martha Lloyd, and they have this like little sweets and treats shop uh in Troy.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: It's called the Copper Tree.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: Well, they had a bunch of old or older candies, you know, it's candies that you would love, like Mike and Ike's.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: It came from the bottom of your grandma's purse.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Along with a cat hair.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: And here's her word, there's your original.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Here's another one for kids.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: Can you give kids candy cigarettes?
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: Because I was there yesterday and they had the candy cigar.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: They had the candy cigarette.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: A candy cigar?
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: I've never seen that.
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, you've never seen that.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: Okay, you probably haven't been to a baby shower in a while where they had these.
- 3:57SPEAKER_02: But anyway, so I Unfortunately, no.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: So that's the second time.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Saw candy cigarettes yesterday.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: And then when I was in East Aurora for 4th of July, went to a candy shop there, candy cigarettes again.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Would you give Gavin and Lydia candy cigarettes?
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: No.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: You'll push it, he'll push them in a pool, won't give them candy cigarettes.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: The optics implying lung cancer versus drowning.
- 4:18unknown: Right.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Wow, tough choice.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: That's a tough choice.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Okay, so would you give them candy cigarettes?
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: You and I know.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: And if anybody doesn't know, this is why I say this.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Candy cigarettes is bubblegum, essentially.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: Or it's the chalky ones.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: Yes, or hard as a brick.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: It's either chalk or the or gum.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: One of the two.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And if it's the gum one, that's because they wanted to make it look like it was lit at the end.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Got those?
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: But uh because the chalk ones just had like was dipped in a dye at the at the tip.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: I love those.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: But the bubblegum ones were the best.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: And the reason I say that is I remember as a kid when you'd blow on it, a puff of powdered sugar would come out at the end, which made it appear that you were eight and smoking a camel.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: I think they stopped doing that part because the cigarettes that I got, I'm sorry, the candy cigarettes that I got were neither of them smoked.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: They I mean But you remember that version, right?
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: Yes, I do very vividly, and I loved that part.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: So I d as a kid, I'm like, Do you understand how bad Squat?
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Let's want to come over.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: I want to shove you in the pool.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: Let's go swing on the swings.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Hi, Melissa.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: She's going bye.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Do you want to go play hopscotch next door with Jolly?
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: Let's go do that.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: How about jump rope?
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: I'm ready.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And you're seven.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Um so no to the candy picker.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:40SPEAKER_02: Because this is really fun.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, God.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Don't allow your children to listen to this show.
