- 1:13Speaker 1: So check it out. You guys will love it. All. Right,
- 1:15Speaker 1: let's move on to the stories today, because there are
- 1:17Speaker 1: some significant moves right now happening. And when you look
- 1:22Speaker 1: at the global stage of crypto, you have to look
- 1:24Speaker 1: at two major markets that I believe are really on
- 1:29Speaker 1: a fast, fast pace for innovation. First market has been
- 1:33Speaker 1: the EU. There's a bit of a difference with the EU.
- 1:35Speaker 1: They've done it through a regulatory model, which is MIKA,
- 1:38Speaker 1: and they've put it in place to where companies in
- 1:40Speaker 1: the United States or companies in the EU can operate
- 1:43Speaker 1: under a regulatory framework with guidance all the things you
- 1:47Speaker 1: know that normal businesses do. Then you have the Asian markets,
- 1:52Speaker 1: and look what is happening right there in Japan. The
- 1:54Speaker 1: Prime Minister now is going to be keynoting the WebEx
- 1:56Speaker 1: This will be as Economic Minister as well as Sony
- 2:00Speaker 1: is launching an ether L two. And if you look
- 2:03Speaker 1: at this versus the US federal government, the sec and
- 2:07Speaker 1: their war on innovation, art and capital. Will you. Basically,
- 2:12Speaker 1: all you have to do is point at the SEC's
- 2:14Speaker 1: most recent wells notice over to open C. And the
- 2:18Speaker 1: reason that is important is because open C of course
- 2:21Speaker 1: is thousands and thousands of creators, designers, game companies, brands,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you name it, all of that. Now, going head to
- 2:30Speaker 1: head with what appears to be happening with Sony and
- 2:35Speaker 1: the Asian markets, now, I want to just give you
- 2:36Speaker 1: some stats here in game NFTs now are the most
- 2:39Speaker 1: popular category in NFTs over there on open C if
- 2:43Speaker 1: you think about it. So in twenty twenty two, this
- 2:45Speaker 1: is twenty two, the global market for in game NFTs
- 2:47Speaker 1: was valued around three six three point six billion and
- 2:50Speaker 1: is expected to reach fifteen billion by twenty twenty seven.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I think that is a low value, and I think
- 2:56Speaker 1: we can see double that, especially as we start to
- 2:58Speaker 1: see a lot of movement in some of these markets
- 3:01Speaker 1: like the EU and also like Asia, especially leading with
- 3:04Speaker 1: what's happening with Sony now, Speakers of WebEx twenty twenty four,
- 3:08Speaker 1: this is like the rock Star the Avengers of the
- 3:12Speaker 1: Asian markets. You've got the Japanese Prime Minister, the Ministry
- 3:16Speaker 1: of economy and trade, and all of these are really
- 3:19Speaker 1: aligned with what's going on in the blockchain sector. If
- 3:23Speaker 1: you look further down, this was as important. I want
- 3:25Speaker 1: to just highlight this one right here. This is the
- 3:28Speaker 1: SBI Holdings director and Chairman, president and CEO. Right next
- 3:34Speaker 1: to him, Richard Tank. You all know who that is.
- 3:36Speaker 1: That's the CEO of finance, and of course Yatsu who
- 3:39Speaker 1: is the CEO of Animoca Brands. Now you take that. Oh,
- 3:43Speaker 1: by the way, there's Hashkei who has now approved Avalanche
- 3:48Speaker 1: as an ETF So check out what's going on over there.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I want to go into a couple of points here
- 3:54Speaker 1: with Sonium and Sonium is important because you got to
- 3:57Speaker 1: understand what's going on here. Sonium and Sony partner to
- 4:00Speaker 1: bring the blockchain mainstream. Now there's a few points here
- 4:03Speaker 1: that I want to roll up into it. Vision is
- 4:06Speaker 1: very central to Sonium. A new ethereum roll up being
- 4:08Speaker 1: developed by Sony Blockchain Solutional Labs in partnership with Wantanabe's company,
- 4:14Speaker 1: which is Sonium. The industry lacks real distribution channel. The
- 4:18Speaker 1: CEO is talking about this, We're building a blockchain that's
- 4:20Speaker 1: accessible for the general general public who will use it
- 4:23Speaker 1: over the next decade, meaning they're looking at infrastructure really
- 4:26Speaker 1: to create kind of this next generation of the Internet.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I talk about it all the time and Sonium also
- 4:33Speaker 1: with Sonium and Astar Network, this will shift into an
- 4:35Speaker 1: Optimistic roll up. You guys know what the op stack is, Optimism.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Follow that project very closely. It's going to be a
- 4:41Speaker 1: big deal as it marks significant changes from its previous
- 4:45Speaker 1: reliance on Polygon. So there's a lot moving here in
- 4:49Speaker 1: a lot of working parts, but I anticipate we'll see
- 4:51Speaker 1: a lot of support for this. So Sonium will also
- 4:53Speaker 1: become part of the Superchain, which is an initiative to
- 4:57Speaker 1: unify the op stack rollups, including so even more integration
- 5:03Speaker 1: into where a lot of this technology is going. And
- 5:06Speaker 1: if you look at this tweet right here, just to
- 5:08Speaker 1: give you an example of why this is a big deal.
- 5:10Speaker 1: If you look at Sony right now world leader in
- 5:13Speaker 1: gaming PlayStation around one hundred and sixteen million monthly active users.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And this is probably low right now because we're only
- 5:19Speaker 1: talking about gaming, and what they could be going into
- 5:23Speaker 1: is a whole plethora of industries, companies, businesses and sectors
- 5:29Speaker 1: that could absolutely explode. What's going on within blockchain Sonium.
- 5:34Speaker 1: This was the Monado test net, which is now live.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So the idea behind this is it's going to be
- 5:39Speaker 1: an incubator, which really is just going to be looking
- 5:41Speaker 1: at trying to get more builders. Think of this like
- 5:45Speaker 1: Y combinator. Y combinator as an incubator for startup brands
- 5:49Speaker 1: and it's a way to foster new growth in new sector.
- 5:53Speaker 1: So essentially you can kind of guide it, vcs can
- 5:55Speaker 1: jump in on it. You start to get the picture here.
- 5:58Speaker 1: That's how Silicon Valley was created is through these incubators,
- 6:02Speaker 1: and I think this is what Sony is trying to do.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Further into this, I want to go to this article
- 6:07Speaker 1: Sony of course debuting the Sonium Monato test net. This
- 6:11Speaker 1: is the incubator, and I want to focus in on
- 6:14Speaker 1: a couple of points right here. This is a layer two.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's all Singapore based Stark tailed Labs. And then if
- 6:22Speaker 1: you look at what they're doing Sonium, Spark will offer
- 6:25Speaker 1: developers of package benefits that includes an investment of one
- 6:27Speaker 1: hundred grand and other funding opportunities. Also receive official support
- 6:32Speaker 1: from the Sony group. Imagine if Microsoft did that, or
- 6:36Speaker 1: if Google did that, if Meta did that. They're the
- 6:39Speaker 1: level of Sony, and they went out into the market
- 6:43Speaker 1: on an L two like Ethereum, like optimism on base
- 6:47Speaker 1: and said, we want builders from all over to recreate
- 6:50Speaker 1: everything in gaming, finance, retail, restaurants, technology, and we're going
- 6:55Speaker 1: to give you one hundred grand for every one of
- 6:56Speaker 1: you that do that. Can you imagine the innovation that
- 6:59Speaker 1: would come out of that for these startups because we
- 7:02Speaker 1: are going to see a new renaissance I think around
- 7:06Speaker 1: what most likely could be the next era of the Internet.
- 7:09Speaker 1: With all that being said, Sony's blockchain also is now
- 7:13Speaker 1: partnering with Transac and this is for global, FIAT and
- 7:16Speaker 1: on ramp services. So with an on ramp it changes
- 7:20Speaker 1: the game very quickly. A couple of points they made
- 7:22Speaker 1: in the article. Integration of Sonium and Transact is expect
- 7:25Speaker 1: to impact the gaming industry, especially as a broader adoption
- 7:28Speaker 1: of blockchain tech in the gaming community comes, which means
- 7:31Speaker 1: Sony already sees this. The writing's on the wall. This
- 7:35Speaker 1: is a PlayStation play that will happen. And if if
- 7:39Speaker 1: that means it's happening with PlayStation and Sony, who's next, Well,
- 7:43Speaker 1: it has to be Microsoft and Xbox, you have to
- 7:45Speaker 1: look at Nintendo, You've got to look at all these
- 7:47Speaker 1: other companies that eventually will start to follow suit further
- 7:51Speaker 1: into this, they focus on driving digital transformation. Transit co
- 7:55Speaker 1: founder and their CEO said that this is really going
- 7:58Speaker 1: to change things around how people start to engage from
- 8:02Speaker 1: a value standpoint, and this is how onboarding is all done.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And of course remember here in the United States, what
- 8:08Speaker 1: are we doing that. Well, it's called Operation Choke point
- 8:11Speaker 1: two point zero, which essentially is led by the Senate
- 8:14Speaker 1: Banking Committee lead and that is Senator Warren. All of
- 8:18Speaker 1: course is fined to essentially constrain the potential of use
- 8:22Speaker 1: and innovation. Where what's happening in Asia, it's the exact opposite.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Other notes in here transacts dedicated solution for multiple industries
- 8:31Speaker 1: will emplower developers they are going to build. They're also
- 8:34Speaker 1: looking at three hundred and fifty applications to bost over
- 8:36Speaker 1: five point seven million users. Just in July, it also
- 8:40Speaker 1: partnered up with UNISWAP, a US company, to facilitate the
- 8:44Speaker 1: facilitate Fiata unramp services for the Unipop wallet. So you
- 8:49Speaker 1: look at all that you got these kind of projects involved,
- 8:52Speaker 1: Circle optimism, alchemy, the graph chain, link Astar, all of
- 8:56Speaker 1: which we've talked about here on the show before, and
- 8:59Speaker 1: I think this is a pivotal time in the development
- 9:03Speaker 1: of blockchain technology that it starts to really kind of
- 9:07Speaker 1: go out into the crypto markets. And one of the
- 9:10Speaker 1: things that we are not doing here in the United
- 9:12Speaker 1: States is keeping up with the Joneses. If you look
- 9:14Speaker 1: at what Ryan Adams was talking about, he hits it
- 9:17Speaker 1: kind of on the head here, you know, with this
- 9:20Speaker 1: most recent Wells notice open c is now the sixth
- 9:23Speaker 1: American born crypto success story that's under attack by the
- 9:27Speaker 1: SEC this year. So now they are attacking which is
- 9:31Speaker 1: I guess would be considered the fang of the American
- 9:33Speaker 1: crypto market. Metal Mask, open see coinbased, crack, and UNISWAP,
- 9:36Speaker 1: robinhood all have been exceededly targeted by the SEC. Can
- 9:42Speaker 1: you imagine any other industry that you go after the
- 9:44Speaker 1: best of the best in your industry to essentially control
- 9:48Speaker 1: it so that what the rest of the world can
- 9:52Speaker 1: build around us and reinnovate and continue to just outpace us.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Because that's exactly what has happened. So that pacing in
- 10:01Speaker 1: with a lot of other things because you need a
- 10:02Speaker 1: couple of things to make all this work. Remember, we've
- 10:05Speaker 1: got to have innovation. You've got to have a big
- 10:07Speaker 1: players who get behind it. You need a government and
- 10:10Speaker 1: a regulatory body to get behind it. Then you need
- 10:13Speaker 1: adoption cycles and on ramps. What else do you need? Well,
- 10:17Speaker 1: you need big money. So where's that going to come from.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Oasis now partner with financial giant to boost web three
- 10:22Speaker 1: gaming in Japan. And guess who that is? SBI. Remember
- 10:25Speaker 1: when I talked about the key SBI director and CEO
- 10:28Speaker 1: and chair, it was at WebEx. This is the example
- 10:31Speaker 1: of it. So SBI Holdings, one of Japan's largest financial conglomerates,
- 10:35Speaker 1: has partnered with Oasis sup blockchain platform designed specifically for
- 10:38Speaker 1: Web three gaming. This is unbelievable. So if you just
- 10:44Speaker 1: think about what the potential is here in a big way,
- 10:47Speaker 1: I think this starts to set things up in I
- 10:50Speaker 1: think a scenario where right now Asia could really take
- 10:54Speaker 1: a pole position, maybe even over the EU. Here's SBI
- 10:58Speaker 1: Holdings right now from twenty two, twenty fifteen to twenty
- 11:01Speaker 1: twenty four, almost twenty seven billion or choose me trillion
- 11:05Speaker 1: under assets under management, so very significant. I think this
- 11:10Speaker 1: is the key right here. Guys, if you are at
- 11:13Speaker 1: all thinking that you're a startup, maybe you're just investing
- 11:16Speaker 1: in crypto your business owner, then you want to start
- 11:19Speaker 1: to do something that has a blockchain integration, and it's
- 11:22Speaker 1: pretty much going to affect everybody. Now is the time
- 11:25Speaker 1: that you can change the stars. And the way you
- 11:27Speaker 1: do that is get out there and vote. That's the
- 11:30Speaker 1: only way this works. Put the right kind of senators
- 11:33Speaker 1: in place, so make sure going with senators that are
- 11:36Speaker 1: pro crypto, and of course getting on the right side
- 11:39Speaker 1: of the ticket I think as we go into the
- 11:41Speaker 1: White House. So all of that I think is out there.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You guys understand that. And of course, if you're not
- 11:46Speaker 1: following me out there on X, make sure and do that.
- 11:48Speaker 1: It's at Paul Barron. If you're not in our diamond circle,
- 11:51Speaker 1: make sure and do that. Make sure a smash the
- 11:53Speaker 1: like button before you leave. We'll catch you next time.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Right here on tech Path, I
