- 0:09Speaker 1: Ye Shooter, it's time, no, no, and no.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Well, welcome to the Nordy venicam your hostrum Shooter. And
- 0:18Speaker 2: it's Monday, which means our dear friend Garrett Joint say, Garrett,
- 0:21Speaker 2: are you there, babe?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Happy National Coffee Day?
- 0:24Speaker 3: I think we all need a little bit of that
- 0:26Speaker 3: in our lives right now?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Right is it National Coffee Day? I didn't, I didn't
- 0:29Speaker 2: even know. I love you.
- 0:30Speaker 1: You know you could.
- 0:32Speaker 3: You could pretty much go to your local local coffee
- 0:35Speaker 3: coffee Rea where may be in the world, and you
- 0:38Speaker 3: probably can get a free cup of coffee somewhere.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Oh, I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna try it all
- 0:41Speaker 2: day long. I'm gonna go from Starbucks, the Starbucks to Starbucks.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I do not need that much caffeine, my.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Friend, although I do need a little Today I went
- 0:47Speaker 2: out for Misty's birthday party and I'm still recovering a
- 0:50Speaker 2: little bit some Happy birthday, Misty. Let's jump into my show,
- 0:53Speaker 2: Garrett A the time is it? My friends? It is
- 0:56Speaker 2: tea time. Big story. At the top of the show,
- 0:58Speaker 2: Selena Gomes has married Any Blanco in a star studied
- 1:02Speaker 2: Santa Barbara wedding. Santa Barbara it's really nice there, so
- 1:06Speaker 2: she's officially off the market. The star tied the nut
- 1:10Speaker 2: to a music producer, Benny Blanco, in a glamorous ceremony
- 1:15Speaker 2: that drew some of Hollywood's biggest stars. You want to
- 1:17Speaker 2: know who was there, We have some big names, Taylor Swift,
- 1:22Speaker 2: Martin Shaw, Steve Martin, Paul Rudd, Ed Sheering, Paris Hilton.
- 1:26Speaker 2: They were all there for the sea side. It was
- 1:28Speaker 2: right on the coast. I do's. It was at a lush,
- 1:33Speaker 2: lush garden center, like not that we think of a
- 1:36Speaker 2: garden center, like not where you're going buy a cheap
- 1:39Speaker 2: julip or two. It was like a nursery. So it
- 1:42Speaker 2: was at the lush Seacrest Nursery, which is really really beautiful.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I know in your mind what you're thinking. It's not
- 1:49Speaker 2: a cheap garden center. She did not get married, That's right.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's not home depot. It was about one hundred and
- 1:57Speaker 2: seventy people, so that's pretty big. Family and friends. We
- 2:01Speaker 2: know the dress. It was Ralph Lauren, very very classic,
- 2:04Speaker 2: and both both Selina and Bennett have posted pictures so
- 2:08Speaker 2: you actually can get a really good look today. If
- 2:10Speaker 2: you want to go online, go to their Instagram pages
- 2:13Speaker 2: and you can see the dress. It's gorgeous. Lots of
- 2:15Speaker 2: celebrities there. I didn't see any pictures of Taylor. I've
- 2:18Speaker 2: seen some Papa Ranci picture of Martin shun to arrive in,
- 2:21Speaker 2: but I didn't see any tailors of pictures. It looks
- 2:23Speaker 2: just beautiful. Congratulations. What do you think? Oh?
- 2:26Speaker 3: Well, first congratulations to them. The Taylor not being pictured.
- 2:30Speaker 3: They have a picture of her walking out of the
- 2:32Speaker 3: jet with with umbrellas covering. And you know what, I've
- 2:37Speaker 3: been thinking about it because you didn't see Taylor a lot.
- 2:40Speaker 3: She flew off to the football game yesterday time to
- 2:44Speaker 3: make it for Travis's game on Sunday, So she left
- 2:47Speaker 3: the wedding on Saturday to get to the game on Sunday.
- 2:50Speaker 3: He didn't see her It's album a week. So she
- 2:53Speaker 3: does not want to give anybody or any else or
- 2:55Speaker 3: take away from a friend the attention by just being pictured.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So I get that.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I hear that Taylor and Ed Sheeran both spoke at
- 3:03Speaker 3: the wedding as well. And I saw this and it's
- 3:07Speaker 3: kind of kind of true. Selena Gomez pretty much the
- 3:10Speaker 3: first Disney princess, you know, to get married.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Yeah, she's literally a Disney princess.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Wow, And people are gonna argue and I know this
- 3:17Speaker 3: is gonna happen. Demi Levado's yes, Demi Lovado has been married.
- 3:20Speaker 3: But we know Demi's past. She it was kind of
- 3:23Speaker 3: littered with, you know, some drama and some bad things.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Selena Gomez, there has not really been any any you know,
- 3:31Speaker 3: hiccups in her career.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It's the Disney ending. This is the Disney ending we
- 3:34Speaker 2: want for od Disney princess. I think it's just beautiful
- 3:38Speaker 2: that did you know about him before before they got together.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I did not know him until you know him from
- 3:43Speaker 2: the music Disney.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I know it from the music side because he pretty
- 3:45Speaker 3: much has written every big, big hit.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Of the last ten to fifteen years.
- 3:51Speaker 3: So and the weird part is he's worked with Justin
- 3:54Speaker 3: Bieber before, and we know, we know the stories between
- 3:57Speaker 3: Justin and Selena and their fans, but he's pretty much
- 4:02Speaker 3: written every single song, every popular song. You if you
- 4:06Speaker 3: have sang a song out loud, Benny Blanco has probably
- 4:09Speaker 3: touched it to something.
- 4:10Speaker 2: So he's a very wealthy man. So a lot of
- 4:11Speaker 2: people at first, because they didn't know him, were like, oh,
- 4:13Speaker 2: he's a gold digger, he's from it. He's doing just fine.
- 4:18Speaker 2: He might even be doing even better than that.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Helicopters too, is another thing that kind of threw me.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I was like, really there, you could not get a
- 4:26Speaker 3: helicopter in Santa Barbara, you know, I could, you know,
- 4:29Speaker 3: not to say you and I are looking for helicopters,
- 4:31Speaker 3: but all the helicopters, including news choppers, were all rented
- 4:35Speaker 3: out over the weekend just to get a glimpse.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a it's amazing, we do. I
- 4:42Speaker 2: think they beat us here at our own game, and
- 4:44Speaker 2: our hats off to it. They released their own pictures.
- 4:46Speaker 3: It's a beautiful how much how much do you think
- 4:48Speaker 3: those photos could have gone.
- 4:50Speaker 2: For millions of dollars if there were no pictures out there.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I was in the celebrity photograph game for a long time,
- 4:55Speaker 2: doing covers of magazines, beiden on photographs. I once bid
- 4:59Speaker 2: twelve you heard me right, and Angelina Jolie's twins when
- 5:03Speaker 2: they were born. It was at the height of that
- 5:06Speaker 2: that market of buying celebrity pictures. We lost people bid fourteen.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Million between the phone and people.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Just you're on the phone with them and you run.
- 5:14Speaker 2: First of all, you go to the photo agency. They
- 5:16Speaker 2: don't email you a jpick because I would use it
- 5:19Speaker 2: to all my friends. So you have to go to
- 5:21Speaker 2: the photo agency where they show you the photographs on
- 5:24Speaker 2: a computer. And then you have to ride a big
- 5:27Speaker 2: down as if you're bidding on a house, and you
- 5:29Speaker 2: have to put it in an envelope. And it's a
- 5:30Speaker 2: really tricky game because you don't want a bid too
- 5:32Speaker 2: much because you don't want to overpay. But if you
- 5:34Speaker 2: don't bid enough, it's one bit and you will sit
- 5:36Speaker 2: in there.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Do you get to see like what the others are
- 5:39Speaker 1: bidding or no.
- 5:40Speaker 2: No closed bids. So but you sit that. So your
- 5:42Speaker 2: opposite people magazine growling, and then your opposite the European
- 5:47Speaker 2: magazines who have all the money growling. You don't know
- 5:49Speaker 2: what to do, and we all know each other, and
- 5:51Speaker 2: outside it's just town car after turn tank car. I
- 5:54Speaker 2: went on the subway, thank you very much, which things
- 5:56Speaker 2: us back then to add pole question of the day
- 5:58Speaker 2: about Sala Gomez married Benny a balalanco at a star
- 6:03Speaker 2: study wedding. Taylor Swift was there? A question is quite simple.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Should Taylor have performed? Should she been the wedding singer.
- 6:09Speaker 2: If you've invite Taylor's lived to your wedding, do you
- 6:11Speaker 2: literally make her sing for her supper? What do you think?
- 6:14Speaker 2: Go bloats on aw the page I had naughty nice
- 6:16Speaker 2: rab Facebook page. It's naughty garsip. I'll be sure to
- 6:20Speaker 2: check back tomorrow to hear your results. You're talking about
- 6:23Speaker 2: Justin Bieber. What is going on? Of course there's a
- 6:25Speaker 2: Justin story today.
- 6:26Speaker 3: So yeah, so of course Selena Gome is getting married
- 6:29Speaker 3: over the weekend. Justin Bieber the other day was playing
- 6:32Speaker 3: basketball and posted a carousel online, and you thought, what
- 6:35Speaker 3: could be so wrong about seeing some pictures of Justin.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Bieber playing some basketball.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Well, here's where the internet sleuths kind of dug a
- 6:43Speaker 3: little deeper to find out what caused all this drama.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So not only did he post the photos with the
- 6:49Speaker 3: music that you can post on Instagram, he did a
- 6:52Speaker 3: ballad from twenty twenty five called I Do, the song
- 6:57Speaker 3: about his marriage to Helly Bieber. You know when when
- 7:01Speaker 3: Selena Gomez got married. So of course fans already started
- 7:05Speaker 3: taking notice of this going Benny, I Do, Justin I Do.
- 7:08Speaker 3: One fan said you lost her and get over it.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I love that one on that that one's like straight
- 7:14Speaker 3: to the gut, you know.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Uh.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Some even dropped some gifts of Selena in Bieber's comments.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You know, it's though Bieber was trying to be subtle
- 7:25Speaker 3: without being so subtle that I don't think he do.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I don't think fans expected. He didn't expect fans to
- 7:30Speaker 3: react that way.
- 7:31Speaker 2: All the songs that he has he picked. I do
- 7:35Speaker 2: now if his greatest hit was I do correct, Oh,
- 7:38Speaker 2: that makes sense if that was his when you think
- 7:40Speaker 2: of just In Bieber, I don't think you think of
- 7:42Speaker 2: I do really.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Or if it was his wedding anniversary, that's.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Right, Oh, it was his wedding anniversaries.
- 7:50Speaker 1: That what he was I was saying. If it was
- 7:52Speaker 1: his wedding annivers.
- 7:53Speaker 2: It wasn't his wedding anniversary. He he just he just
- 7:56Speaker 2: put him base. Oh he was up to no good
- 7:58Speaker 2: or maybe some subconscient was only that can happen a
- 8:01Speaker 2: lot subconsciously. You can do stuff and it tells everything
- 8:04Speaker 2: about how you're really feeling. I think that this story
- 8:08Speaker 2: is never going to go away Justin Baner and Bieber
- 8:10Speaker 2: and Selena Gomez, because it was first love. It was
- 8:13Speaker 2: puppy love. They were together right at the beginning. I
- 8:16Speaker 2: think that story, well, it is part of your life.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Your stories don't go away. This is something we all
- 8:19Speaker 2: have to learn if something has happened.
- 8:21Speaker 3: To you that is part of you, that is part
- 8:23Speaker 3: of your I mean, look picture, look at Justin and
- 8:26Speaker 3: Justin and Brittany.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That story still is.
- 8:28Speaker 3: It comes up every couple of years to months where
- 8:31Speaker 3: it was just like, remember Britney screwed over Justin and
- 8:34Speaker 3: Justin screwed over Brittany. I mean that happened over twenty
- 8:37Speaker 3: plus years ago.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, they're almost unrecognizable people at this point, particularly Britney,
- 8:42Speaker 2: and we're still talking about it. I think it's time
- 8:45Speaker 2: that we moved on. But if they won't move on,
- 8:48Speaker 2: when I say day, i'm talking about Justin. Selena does
- 8:51Speaker 2: not do this. Selena does not do this when Justin
- 8:53Speaker 2: got married or engaged. I don't think Selena's posting I
- 8:56Speaker 2: do video. So Justin, you know what you're doing. You
- 8:59Speaker 2: did it as I would guess. It might be subconscious,
- 9:02Speaker 2: but you know what you're doing and it worked where
- 9:04Speaker 2: you all jumped moving along. Harry is furious over quote
- 9:08Speaker 2: sabotage claims. So a British newspaper gave a really detailed
- 9:13Speaker 2: account of that meeting that he had with his daddy.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I think it was back in September tenth, about twelve
- 9:19Speaker 2: days ago or so. He met the King Charles and
- 9:21Speaker 2: they said it was cold and formal, which duh, it's
- 9:24Speaker 2: always cold and formal with Charles. He's not a lovey
- 9:26Speaker 2: dovey Pearson. And so it's branded as this is what
- 9:31Speaker 2: Harry's people put out of statement. So that's just not true,
- 9:34Speaker 2: and they said the quote is pure invention. They had
- 9:39Speaker 2: a really nice time. But this is where it's interesting.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Harry's spokesperson went further, pointing the finger. He said, these
- 9:47Speaker 2: claims are not true and they are somebody trying to
- 9:50Speaker 2: sabotage any reconciliation. So once again they met and we
- 9:54Speaker 2: didn't really hear much about that meeting. Now the Sun
- 9:57Speaker 2: in Britain has a really detailed and really detailed account
- 10:01Speaker 2: of what went down. That is the criticism about Harry
- 10:05Speaker 2: from the palace. It's loose lips. Every time they have
- 10:08Speaker 2: a private family moment, he tells the tale. And we've
- 10:11Speaker 2: only gone to look to his book Spare After you
- 10:13Speaker 2: write a book, a tell old book about your family.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It's probably you're not going to be the most trusted
- 10:18Speaker 2: person in the room, so not the most trusted. Lots
- 10:21Speaker 2: of details leaked out. Now Harry's people are pushing back,
- 10:25Speaker 2: saying that is just not true. We did not leak anything.
- 10:28Speaker 2: But they're saying that while releasing a statement. It's very
- 10:32Speaker 2: complicated for Harry here. I get it. He claims he
- 10:35Speaker 2: wants privacy and yet he does talk to the to
- 10:38Speaker 2: the press. But if the press wrote something about me
- 10:41Speaker 2: and my dad that wasn't true, I'd probably want to
- 10:44Speaker 2: lash out as well. This is just going to keep
- 10:46Speaker 2: going in Cirtles, isn't it. This is never gonna be fixed,
- 10:49Speaker 2: garacters never was always.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Going to be a problem, never ever, ever, Just like
- 10:52Speaker 3: the Justin and Selena story. I mean, I think once
- 10:58Speaker 3: you know, the family moves on and life moves on,
- 11:00Speaker 3: and you know, ten years when you know the king,
- 11:04Speaker 3: hopefully the king is around very long, but let's be honest,
- 11:07Speaker 3: when he does pass, whenever that may be, I think
- 11:09Speaker 3: that story still.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Will linger, you know, and still get it. It sucks.
- 11:14Speaker 3: It's because you know, at the end of the day,
- 11:15Speaker 3: they're a family and and you know, you just you
- 11:19Speaker 3: want to think that it's just all rumors.
- 11:22Speaker 1: But it doesn't feel that way.
- 11:26Speaker 2: It doesn't feel that my breaking news. I broke this
- 11:28Speaker 2: story first last week. Taylor Swift is not doing the
- 11:30Speaker 2: super Bowl. It has just been announced that Bad Bunny
- 11:34Speaker 2: is headlining. Headlining the super Bowl. Bad Bunny. We thought
- 11:38Speaker 2: it would be Adele. There was some conversations with Adele.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Taylor did not work out. I told you about three
- 11:43Speaker 2: or four days ago that she was not doing it.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Bad Bunny, I think a great choice. The problem with
- 11:49Speaker 2: this choice there, Garrett, is after Taylor Swift's name has
- 11:52Speaker 2: been dropped, it's awfully hard.
- 11:54Speaker 3: To begin credit a Bad Bunny because you never want
- 11:58Speaker 3: to be the person after the person and you know,
- 12:00Speaker 3: like that main person, like you don't want to you know,
- 12:03Speaker 3: you don't want to be the second person following someone
- 12:06Speaker 3: so iconic, you know. And given Taylor Swift didn't perform,
- 12:09Speaker 3: she was thrown out there so much that it was like,
- 12:12Speaker 3: oh my god, she's gonna do it. Then when she
- 12:15Speaker 3: wasn't announced that she's not gonna do it. You have
- 12:17Speaker 3: to be a performer that not to say doesn't care,
- 12:20Speaker 3: but has enough strength to go like all right, cool,
- 12:22Speaker 3: I'm still gonna put on a pretty hard damn show. Yeah, yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 3: you know, we're going to move on from this grandioso
- 12:29Speaker 3: idea that Taylor is going to do the super Bowl.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I think it's a big I mean, he's fantastic, He
- 12:34Speaker 2: is fantastic. He's going to put on the great show.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Not Taylor Swift again. And I broke this story first
- 12:41Speaker 2: just a few days ago, Garrett. I think you you
- 12:43Speaker 2: agreed with me too. You had heard some rumblings too
- 12:46Speaker 2: that it definitely wasn't Taylor Swift. And that's because her priority,
- 12:49Speaker 2: Garrett editor at the top of the show, is this
- 12:51Speaker 2: new album. It's out in just a few days, and
- 12:54Speaker 2: everything about Taylor is going to be geared towards this
- 12:59Speaker 2: new new album. Okay, congratulations Garrett. Quickly before we get
- 13:02Speaker 2: a break. Chanelle Jones looks like she's going to replace
- 13:05Speaker 2: hold a copy on the fourth hour of The Today Show.
- 13:07Speaker 2: So Hoda left several months ago. They've had rotating, rotating host.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Chanel was off the show tragically for a while with
- 13:14Speaker 2: a horrible, horrible tragedy in her own family. She's now back.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I'm hearing that Chanelle is going to be the host
- 13:21Speaker 2: of the fourth Hour. They have not officially announced it yet.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I think this is a good choice. What do you think?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, and this is supposed to be announced
- 13:29Speaker 3: within the next couple of days, so you're pretty much
- 13:31Speaker 3: hearing it here first for the first time, and by
- 13:33Speaker 3: the time you listen to it, it might happen right
- 13:35Speaker 3: after you hear this, So you know, I think it's
- 13:38Speaker 3: a It's a very good fit.
- 13:39Speaker 1: You know.
- 13:39Speaker 3: I'm all about people that have been a part of
- 13:42Speaker 3: a team and you know, getting the chance, you know,
- 13:46Speaker 3: when it's your moment to shine. So hopefully she takes
- 13:48Speaker 3: advantage of it. And you know, we have we have
- 13:51Speaker 3: some kind of you know, symmetry. Some some it'll feel
- 13:55Speaker 3: like the The Today Show is complete, you know.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it does, doesn't. She fits in, they knowure. I
- 14:00Speaker 2: agree with you there, Garrett. There's too many jobs, too
- 14:03Speaker 2: many companies I've worked at where they don't promote within
- 14:06Speaker 2: And I think once you've paid your dues, once you've
- 14:09Speaker 2: been there, once you know that company, it's really nice
- 14:12Speaker 2: to reward the loyal people who are around you. And
- 14:15Speaker 2: I think there's a lovely thought. I hope it's true
- 14:18Speaker 2: that there is a ladder of success and that you
- 14:20Speaker 2: will be able to climb that ladder. You don't want
- 14:23Speaker 2: to have to keep leaving and going to a new
- 14:26Speaker 2: company every time you want a promotion. Really, really good
- 14:29Speaker 2: companies have a structure. They have a way for you
- 14:34Speaker 2: if you want it. You might not want it, but
- 14:36Speaker 2: if you want a promotion, if you want a bigger role,
- 14:40Speaker 2: there must be a way to do that. NBC News
- 14:43Speaker 2: is an excellent company, and a lot of people there
- 14:45Speaker 2: that started as pages really started at the entry level
- 14:49Speaker 2: in turn type positions are now doing exactly what they
- 14:54Speaker 2: want at whatever level that might be. Okay, we're going
- 14:57Speaker 2: to take a quick break and we will be right.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your
- 15:04Speaker 2: Hostob Shoo with their dear friend Garrett. Vote yeah, Garrett.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Let's get to the polls that they are. Disney are
- 15:09Speaker 2: considering moving Jimmy Kimmel Live to streaming only. Now, and
- 15:13Speaker 2: streaming only there are no FCC rules at the minute.
- 15:17Speaker 2: We're in a tricky place where the FCC can bully
- 15:19Speaker 2: people or knock shows off the air is quite a
- 15:22Speaker 2: tricky moment. Jimmy Kimmel might go to streaming and this
- 15:26Speaker 2: is not a punishment. Let me be clear here, this
- 15:28Speaker 2: is the future. This is where shows are gonna live.
- 15:31Speaker 2: He'll be the first late night host to make that
- 15:34Speaker 2: transition in such a big way. But I think eventually
- 15:37Speaker 2: it's all going to be streaming here, so maybe Jimmy
- 15:40Speaker 2: will pave the way. Our question was quite simple, do
- 15:44Speaker 2: you think this is a bold move or a risky bet?
- 15:48Speaker 2: Let's have a look. Sixty percent said bold, forty percent
- 15:51Speaker 2: said risky is always risky. Isn't it to change to
- 15:54Speaker 2: make a big decision like that, But it's going to
- 15:56Speaker 2: be happening very very soon. Hey, don't forget to vote
- 16:00Speaker 2: today's poul at Twitter page, at Naughty nys rob facebook
- 16:03Speaker 2: page is Nordy Gossip. AM sure to check back tomorrow
- 16:07Speaker 2: to hear your results. And now what it's time for
- 16:11Speaker 2: an icist of the day.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Oh all right, so let's talk about Morgan Spector becoming
- 16:19Speaker 3: pretty much the face of the Gilded Age.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yes, you know what I mean.
- 16:23Speaker 3: So it's supposed to be you know, Christine Bronski's and
- 16:28Speaker 3: Cynthia Nixon show, right, you know from HBO, and when
- 16:32Speaker 3: the show started they were the names, and then you know,
- 16:36Speaker 3: and then things kind of changed with the second season,
- 16:40Speaker 3: of course, and that's where the very good looking, incredible,
- 16:45Speaker 3: hunky Morgan Spector comes into play, who plays the robber
- 16:49Speaker 3: George Russell, and he I think it was one of
- 16:52Speaker 3: those things where they cast him not expecting him to
- 16:55Speaker 3: become the big heart rob that he is. But he's
- 16:59Speaker 3: winning literally everyone over, gay straight by all fans of sorts.
- 17:04Speaker 1: They know this is him.
- 17:06Speaker 3: It kind of is very reminiscent of when mad Men
- 17:09Speaker 3: first started and then all of a sudden it.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Was John Hamm's mad Men, you know, like yes, it
- 17:15Speaker 4: was very everywhere. I did not know this guy until
- 17:18Speaker 4: this show started. I knew him on the first episode
- 17:21Speaker 4: as like, hello, mister Russell, who are you?
- 17:23Speaker 2: I don't know who you are, but I, like, I
- 17:25Speaker 2: had no idea. I'd never seen this actor before. Now
- 17:28Speaker 2: I'm watching movies and it keeps popping up. I was
- 17:30Speaker 2: watching a little bit of Boardwalk Empire, a TV show
- 17:32Speaker 2: on HBO. He's a character in that. I didn't even
- 17:34Speaker 2: recognize him. I didn't, but I was rewatching I was like,
- 17:36Speaker 2: oh my god, there's mister Russell. He's gonna He's been
- 17:39Speaker 2: a working actor for a really long time. He is gorgeous.
- 17:41Speaker 2: He's really, really talented. This is his moment. You never know,
- 17:44Speaker 2: do you. These shows launch and you expect them to
- 17:46Speaker 2: go one way. I thought this was going to be
- 17:48Speaker 2: Christine Baranski's show. It's by the same person that does
- 17:51Speaker 2: Doubt an Abby, Julian Feller. So I thought Christine Baranski
- 17:54Speaker 2: was going to be the Maggie Smith type breakout star
- 17:57Speaker 2: for this. No, no, no, it is Morgan. If you
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't know who he is, it's worth googling him today. Handsome, handsome, handsome,
- 18:04Speaker 2: and now Anna is the day naughty, naughty, naughty. Elizabeth
- 18:07Speaker 2: Hurley and Billy Ray Cyris. The love story is souring.
- 18:10Speaker 2: So these two got together and nobody could quite understand it,
- 18:13Speaker 2: but they were together. It was not fake. They were together.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Opposites attract. People say they were cute in a way.
- 18:18Speaker 2: But now their lifestyles are very, very different, and it's
- 18:21Speaker 2: putting a lot of strain on the relationship. She is
- 18:24Speaker 2: much more soarees and jets to London and Paris, and
- 18:28Speaker 2: he wants nothing more than to be strumming his guitar
- 18:30Speaker 2: in Nashville with his dog. So the worlds don't really match.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Love is wonderful but you gotta you gotta fit together
- 18:37Speaker 2: to it's gotta be a really good fit. I'm not
- 18:40Speaker 2: sure love can survive everything else that's throwing at you.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So these two best of luck, but it is not
- 18:45Speaker 2: looking good. Let's end with a murment of Robb being ready. Garrett,
- 18:50Speaker 2: it's a myth. Stop waiting for the perfect moment, because
- 18:54Speaker 2: it doesn't exist. It's not coming. You start before you're ready,
- 18:58Speaker 2: you stumble, you suck at it. Let's be honest, but
- 19:01Speaker 2: that's exactly how it's supposed to be, because with every
- 19:05Speaker 2: attempt you get better. Progress doesn't come from waiting until
- 19:10Speaker 2: you quote feel ready. It comes from daring to begin.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I think about this podcast. We've been doing this now
- 19:18Speaker 2: almost five years.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I think crazy.
- 19:20Speaker 2: When we started, we were not very good. I listened
- 19:23Speaker 2: to one of our very first episodes. It was fine.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I'm not embarrassed about it. It was cuely enough. It
- 19:28Speaker 2: was good enough, but it wasn't great. And it became great.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I dare say so because we do it five days
- 19:34Speaker 2: a week, we do it year after year after year.
- 19:37Speaker 2: You gotta just start, Garrett. There's never a perfect moment
- 19:40Speaker 2: to start. In fact, let me change my mind. There
- 19:43Speaker 2: is a perfect moment to start and that is now. Hey,
- 19:46Speaker 2: that is it for today. Thank you so much for listening.
- 19:49Speaker 2: They're not a bit nice with Robin Garrett Show, a
- 19:51Speaker 2: production of iHeart or Radio. Don't forget to describe on
- 19:54Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app podcast to where every listen leave us
- 19:57Speaker 2: a review if you can. They really do help and
- 20:00Speaker 2: remember altogether an hour. If you're going to be naughty,
- 20:04Speaker 2: you got me straight here everybody.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It's not even nice with brom I will
