[upbeat music] H- how long do you let that go on for? Just like- As long as you want, man... 30 seconds, couple minutes?
• 0:18
Hey, everybody. It's Full Spectrum Cycling. This is show number 201. Oh, no. Last week you had the, uh, the, the pleasure of listening to Chewy and Kayla filling in for us. It was awesome, by the way.
• 0:31
It was- I listened to the whole thing... it was pretty good.
• 0:32
I, those guys are, they're, they're- And- Not only have they been doing it a long time, especially Chewy, but, uh, as far as cycling, but they're- And I'm s-... very active...
• 0:41
I'm sorry, Greg, but Chewy's bringing me a chair. Get the hell out of here. [laughs] I sent him a message- It better not be one of my chairs... in the middle of the podcast.
• 0:50
I'm like, "I'm getting one of these chairs, right?" He's like, "And don't you have to come to Milwaukee soon?" He's like, "Yes, and yes." There's popcorn runs usually this way. Uh, he found, uh, salon chairs- Ooh...
• 1:01
for 20 bucks. They- And they're us- Don't tell anybody. Why you gotta tell everybody how much they cost? They were $200. 'Cause he said it. $200. $250. Yeah, they're like- $300... $200. Wait till you see these.
• 1:11
They're stunning. [laughs] Did you ever see Meet George Jetson? Jan and his wife. [sings] Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
• 1:19
As long as you're not getting one of my chairs, right? [laughs] Oh, nice. Salon chairs. You gonna just put those in your living room?
• 1:28
I'm gonna put it in my office, but- They will be utilized for the 24 no matter what, just so you know. Oh, yeah. They'll, they'll come out in force for the 24. [laughs] We can electrify those by then.
• 1:36
The Riverwest 24 Haircuts Only Live. Hey, everybody. People are yapping. Not Mike so much though, which is kinda weird. Hey. Hey, JK's over there. I'm over here, kinda. Tony's in the gray shirt. Yep.
• 1:46
Supposed to be home watching Daniel kinda thing. I'm supposed to be setting up a ceiling fan. And also, we have Andrew Zahn in today. Woo-hoo. Yeah, boy. Coworker Andrew Zahn.
• 1:55
Now co- of all three of these bozos across from me- [laughs] That's right. We are... all work at the same... The hell? How do I get in this place? We're all suckling on the tit of the same- Yep... paychecks as people.
• 2:04
Make it a quadfecta so I can... I'll jump in there somehow. Just go to uwm.edu/jobs. Do they have, like, an RC truck-building course they need taught, or perhaps, uh- Course in rec. One credit course. Done.
• 2:16
[laughs] Oh, there you go. All right. I can be in there. I took a, I took bicycle maintenance from a dude at, uh, Bike Smiths. Oh, that's right. Yeah, that was a one-creditor? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
• 2:26
[laughs] I, I, I took, uh, backpacking, uh, winter camping, and, uh, basket weaving. Or, uh, sorry. Straw weaving. Underwater. Yeah. Underwater straw weaving. Yeah, almost.
• 2:36
[laughs] Uh, no, it w- it was decorative straw weaving. Uh, we would get docked if we actually made something useful. Ah. [laughs] I like it. Wow. That sounds like an art class.
• 2:43
I did cross country skiing and jujitsu were my two one credits to get through. Nice. As well as bowling one and bowling two. Ooh. I did bowling one. Yes. And international cooking and tennis.
• 2:55
Yeah, and you guys, so you had to pay actually a credit of money for that course? Yeah. Why not? Yeah, but it wasn't that much. And it- Well, now it's more.
• 3:02
And it- Well, I had- I went to Oshkosh, so it was a three-week course. It was an interim. I had to qu- Ah... I had to qualify for financial aid, and I only needed three credits. Mm-hmm.
• 3:10
But, uh, the financial aid you needed s- to take six. So it was three credits of what I needed, and then- Three fun... three fun. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, God, that sounds- They worked out nicely... that sounds fun.
• 3:19
I took sailing too. Have you paid back your whore of an Uncle Sam yet? Yes, I did. Oh, long ago. Very good. Well, my, my aunt did.
• 3:24
[laughs] Well, not everybody has a Your Advance Age, so it's possible that- I took out a-... they're hard... so I, I took out a- I got that... 35... No, I took a $4,000 loan out. I'm sure we've heard this story before.
• 3:34
I bought a '67 Chevelle. I drove it all through college, what, which wasn't that often. I graduated. I sold it for $3,500. I paid off my student loan, and I was done. There you go.
• 3:45
I always lived with either a chick who paid the rent, thank you, Brenda, or my parents. Thank you, parents, for- Thank you, parents... birthing you. Yeah. Very nice.
• 3:53
I, I spent it on tuition, then bought that annoying-ass Jeep for- Yeah... 10 grand. And then let that one drive for 10 years. $1,000 a year. I'm at peace with that thing. It's still in the driveway though, right? Yeah.
• 4:06
[laughs] You know, it's a long... Yeah, d- d- driveway- All right, everybody... driveway ornament. [laughs] We got Andrew Zahn here. Andrew, I don't even know why you're here. I do. Me neither.
• 4:14
But I'm, but I'm happy about it. [laughs] I mean, I'm present. Uh- [laughs] I think we talked about this a few, three weeks back or something, that you are, uh, on the Riverwest 24 planning committee/ - Yeah...
• 4:25
event coordinator/whatever, and there's- Herder of cats, cat herder... well, it's, I mean, this happens at the last weekend of July. Mm-hmm. Which would be in July in 2023 is when it's happening. Yes.
• 4:36
July 28th and 29th, 2023. Right on. That's this year. Yeah. We've already been working on a bonus checkpoint. You may notice some bicycle forks out there. They may have something to do with the bonus checkpoint. Sweet.
• 4:48
But I don't know where it's gonna be. Fork me hardest. No one does. Anyway, even though it is three to six months away, I might know. I'm not doing math right now. Mm-mm.
• 4:57
Uh, there's still a lot of stuff going on where you're, you're planning the event. I wouldn't be surprised if you need volunteers, so tell us what's up. Yeah. So, uh,
• 5:05
for anybody that's ever been interested in peeling behi- peeking behind the curtain, seeing how the, uh, organizers, uh, put on the event, um, we encourage everyone to come down to- La Casina del Sur.
• 5:22
Where's La Casina del Sur? Right around the corner. On, on Frenzen Street. Oh, this is the old Filling Station- Yes... for those of you who are familiar- [laughs]... familiar, familiar with Brian the Jackass's old bar.
• 5:31
It's the upgraded Filling, yeah. It's the upgraded Filling Station. It stands- Right on... jackass. Yeah. Do they still have the filling station portion? It's the Pedros. It's the Pedros. That was really cool.
• 5:38
I liked, it was a- I did like that Filling Station... it was a very cool, uh, way to get beer out of a bunch of kegs into a growler. And that, that was, uh, Old Flux Design, uh, did that whole space and made that-
• 5:48
Well, maybe-... attraction... maybe we can go repo all that furniture too 'cause that's what- And their- That's a... As a matter of fact, this table right in front of us, I think this was at Home Restaurant in Bayshore.
• 5:57
Yeah? And their new- What, yeah... their new sign was, uh, made up by, uh- Yeah, the guy's the Urban Craftsman... Urban Craftsman. Yeah. Urban Woodworker.
• 6:04
Which, by the way, that fucking guy is blocking our entrance with his stupid big-ass log that is sticking like six to eight feet into our driveway. [laughs] I fit right through on my bike. What's his problem?
• 6:13
Yeah, I know, but it just makes- [laughs] Yeah, your brother's damned by a log. It, it isn't about whether he can do it or not. I could drive a semi through there. The point is- Whoa...
• 6:19
it makes it look like this is a forbidden area, 'cause it's all blocked off now- Oh, I get you, I get you... with all those stupid logs. This is really pissing me off. Okay. Anyway- If you hadn't noticed...
• 6:28
back to Andrew. Yeah, and Andrew. So, uh, on March 2nd, join us at- La Casino Del Sur... at 7:30 PM, uh, to meet the organizers, uh, see if there's anything that you'd be interested in helping with.
• 6:46
Uh, we have a list of, uh, positions that, and other cat wranglers that we need. Um, and we would love to see the community come out, uh, have some cocktails, try out the new food.
• 6:58
This is the old, uh, Pedro's now structure. He opened, has a brick and mortar store. He's got a brick and mortar. It's exciting. We're super happy for him. We're very happ- happy to have him. Dude makes a mean meal.
• 7:09
Oh my God. More, more importantly, they have a kitchen for the food truck that they no longer have to rent. Right. Yeah. 'Cause somewhere they had to- It's a win-win... rent. Yeah, for sure. Yeah.
• 7:16
And for the neighborhood too, hopefully. Oh, yeah. Because, well, I think we could probably throw a stone over there.
• 7:20
Well, I will say that every time I have gone to this podcast and rode past it when it was The Filling Station, uh, there might've been three or four patrons. It was packed tonight when I rode by. [laughs] Mm-hmm.
• 7:34
Including people walking out very jovi- jovially. So clearly, they had a good time there. I'm like, "All right, this is a good addition to RW." Yeah. Now, I'm digressing, but hurry up and open the fucking crepes.
• 7:45
[laughs] Yeah. [laughs] Seven Swans needs to get their ass in gear and make me some God damn crepes. Seven Swans. It, it's gonna be a River West 24, uh, bonus checkpoint. Help them open. Oh, right. [laughs] Wait.
• 7:56
It might, it might have to be. It can't... Well, we don't know when yet. Yeah. Um- [laughs] But yeah, so, uh, that's why I'm here. I, I just, uh, I think that it's gonna be a good time. Um, we're trying to get
• 8:07
on the ball much earlier this year so we can have more community involvement, and we can get more buy-in from the community, and, uh, hopefully maybe lighten our loads a little bit.
• 8:17
We'll, we'll put a link in the show notes. Ooh. To be fair. To be fair. It was pretty kick-ass last year. Oh, uh, every- With double, with double the number of bonus checkpoints. It was chaos- Yeah...
• 8:27
but it was fantastic. It was awesome. We, we had so much fun. And, uh... Well, I can't say we. I had COVID. Uh, [laughs] uh, but, uh- It sucked... it, it, I, I say that- Is that a real thing?
• 8:38
I heard that was, uh, as fake as Chinese balloons. Don't, don't get me started. [laughs] No, uh, it, it fucked me up. So, uh- I'm glad you're better... you know. Thank you. I appreciate that.
• 8:48
Uh, yeah, so, uh, stop licking doorknobs and come out on the, uh, 2nd. [laughs] March 2nd. It's a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday? It is a Thursday at- Thursday nights are good nights...
• 8:59
La Casino Del Sur. I... Seriously, it's like a- [laughs]... two, two blocks from where we're standing right now. It's on, it's on Keefe, for anyone that doesn't understand where we are normally. It's on Keefe.
• 9:07
Maybe Chewy, maybe Chewy should come for that since he's complaining about coming for Daikaiju on the 20th of, uh, April. 420. Why would he complain about that?
• 9:15
'Cause he has to go and do a, he has to coach on, uh, Sunday or whatever the day is. Saturday, whichever, whatever. The next day at 11:00 AM in Minneapolis. That would suck. It's like national holiday.
• 9:28
You could skip that then. Yeah. 4- 4- 4:20. 420. Come on, man. We could get like- [laughs] Would less- We could get like-... see Daikaiju playing on 420... we could get a lot of snow that day, though. Fricking could I.
• 9:37
You never know in April. April's- That would be the cool... April's a bitch. Oh, for those listening, uh, in real time, there is a snow, uh, emergency tonight. Mm-hmm. Uh, MPS has- Uh, actually that was yesterday, sir.
• 9:49
'Cause this is Friday. Oh. We live in the future. [laughs] Well, I, I hope everyone had a really good snow day. Yeah, exactly. [laughs] Well, let me tell you this.
• 9:57
Let me tell you this about that snow day, looking at it in the past from a couple days ago. Uh, my son's school system, Whitefish Bay, already canceled classes for tomorrow. I said- Sure would too...
• 10:07
"Nothing's even freaking happened yet." Sure would too. This guy's a bunch of- Snow and soft... uh, uh, MPS did, um- Oh my God... my, my wife's- Fucking lightweights...
• 10:16
district at Cudahy- Susque I'm moving, I'm moving to Utah. That's what I'm doing. Fucking lightweights, man. I... What happened to Wisconsin? I don't know. Hey- You know what?...
• 10:22
that was just a great day to go to school when you were young and there was a foot of snow on the ground. You had a blast. Yeah, but I mean, I would- This doesn't make any sense in my-... absolutely prefer to-...
• 10:29
feeble little brain... have the snow day, go sledding, go fuck around in the snow, not have to roll into school. Although, stay in school, kids. [laughs] Yeah. That...
• 10:39
Where else are you gonna buy your drugs when you're underage? Yeah. Oh, sorry. Geez. [laughs] Hey, everybody. Oh. That's, uh, that is a full spectrum cycling right here. How's everybody doing?
• 10:49
[laughs] That loud knock on the door is the police. Uh, we already talked about Chewy and how great last week's show was. Uh, Zan's talking about the River West 24. At where? I really think it...
• 11:00
You're at the early stages, obviously. Yeah. And also- La Casino Del Sur... not to be outdone, Mr. Jeremy Prock, is he still part of the 24? Oh, yeah.
• 11:08
'Cause, like, this whole weekend is Flat Out Friday and Mama Tried- Big shout out to your mama's-... and blah, blah, blah. So it's not like he only does one thing every year. S- No, he, he's a, he's a- He's a busy-...
• 11:18
triple threat... event coordinator. But he's super awesome. He was awesome. Uh, if you haven't listened to this- He's actually been on the show before... today. We should... Yeah, we should have him on the show.
• 11:26
Oh, yeah. We haven't for a while. Let's not wait until, like, two days before- Or do... Yeah... the thing's gonna happen. [laughs] Which was somebody... Who was it? I don't know. Oh, Lunz.
• 11:34
He's going up to, uh, to the Polar Roll this weekend. He's like, "Do you want Todd to call in?" I go, "That probably been good, like, three weeks ago.
• 11:43
Let's have him call in with a post how dumbass was Dave's show," like, in a week. [laughs] For sure. Because, uh, he- Did you have to use the bail money? Did you? [laughs] I sent him with 10 bucks.
• 11:54
He better be able to work his way out of a paper bag with that kind of stuff. Anyway- And I've been frantically trying to win tickets for Flat Out Friday. You would not believe it.
• 12:02
I've been- How about frantically winning them for- Is it sold out? Or you just- No, I'm just trying to get his tickets. Fuck yeah. Yeah.
• 12:07
[laughs] Well, it's not sold, it's not sold out, but, uh, f- uh, it would be better if they were free. Exactly. That's all I'm saying.
• 12:13
I have no problem, like- You know how you get- Throwing the money at Jeremy- I, yeah... on that. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. But- I gotta push a button 'cause, uh- Hit a caller?
• 12:22
Zan, we'll have to catch up with you. All right. Just, uh, we, we... Hey, uh, hey, hey, hey, hey. [laughs] Push the button. Hey, uh, welcome to Radio Program caller. Hello, how are you guys doing?
• 12:31
Hey, hey, who do we have on the line here now? Hello, this is Mark Peterson from Ogden, Utah. Mark Peterson. Mark Peterson. We should make a theme song for you.
• 12:40
If you call in often enough, we'll, we'll commission a theme song for... [laughs] You know what? I'm just gonna use, uh, what's the... There's, you know, the ChatGPT thing.
• 12:48
There's also a music composing AI on the same OpenAI website, which you could say, "Give me a theme song in the key of D, but more like the remote..." Whatever, whatever. [laughs] You can tell it whatever you want.
• 13:02
Give me a song in the key of D. So we can make... Mark, at no charge to you, we will make you a theme song. I would love that. That would be fantastic.
• 13:10
Uh, how's things out in Ogden, by the way, weather-wise, uh, head-wise? Oh, really- No biking... really good. [laughs] We actually, uh, we've picked up some snow. We've had snow on the ground for the last little while.
• 13:22
Fuck it, I'll drink it. Uh, fat biking's been fantastic. Uh, it has been a bit cold, though. Define cold. Well, that's good because it hasn't been here, and that's why we don't have any snow.
• 13:32
Yeah, I was gonna say, you guys are, like, the normal domain of cold and snow, and it- Yeah... doesn't seem like the case this year.
• 13:39
Well, we're only about, I would say, two hours south of where there would be plenty- A lot of snow... of snow. Uh, so it's just one of those- Yeah... weird little things that we're just a little bit off.
• 13:50
But yesterday we got hammered. Maybe. Or maybe tomorrow. No. Or maybe yesterday. Right after We're not sure yet because they canceled school yesterday, but nobody knows if we're actually gonna have snow yet.
• 13:59
Yeah, and I have to work. It's too dangerous. Oh, it's my last day at work. I'm getting hammered. [laughs] Right on. Oh, uh, so- I get hammered every day, so you know, there you go...
• 14:06
so Mark, we have, we have four people in the studio today, so you're competing very hard for the microphone. [laughs] It's Andrew Zan. He's helping us, uh, talk about River West 24. All right.
• 14:15
Which by the way, if you ever travel to Wisconsin, you should do it during that day. And I always have a place for you. And m- uh, Tony always has a place. Tony. There's Tony, and JK's over there. But, uh, yeah.
• 14:23
Anyway, hey, good to- Hi, Tony. Hi, JK... good to hear from you. Oi, oi. Hi, Greg. How are you? I, I am well. You may call me Sven. [laughs] No, that's fine. Okay. We got it.
• 14:35
[laughs] Uh, [laughs] so you, since we last- Gotcha. Uh, y- it takes me a minute. I'm a little slow. Yeah. [laughs] So last time we talked to you was, like, a month ago about, right? Give or take. Three weeks, month.
• 14:44
Yeah, yeah. Month. Yeah. Yep, yep. Yeah, somewhere in there. So uh, you have started... Have you started y- your new gig? I have, and I love it. It is m- it is as cool as I imagined it would be. Awesome.
• 14:57
He's in the throes- Yeah, that barely happens... of, of lust for a bike mechanic job, folks. Right. I think all bike mechanics should be, like, s- Lustful? I, I'll say done with... Uh, what am I trying to say here?
• 15:10
Like, real work to go have fun work. What about, what about Jim? Yeah. Yeah. Jim made his career working on bikes and stuff. Yeah, but- He should've been done working by now...
• 15:19
Jim's gonna work until he dies, unfortunately. Versus, you know, some people that- Yeah... in their younger years maybe did some correct moves, and now in their elder years, like myself, wanna be a bike mechanic.
• 15:31
Shut up. All right. Stop talking about how great your retirement is, 'cause, uh, I'll be- I'm not saying-... I'll be working still... I'm not saying how great my retirement is- Oh, boy...
• 15:38
except for the fact that my retirement's gonna be great. Goddammit. All right, Mark. So you're at the new location- Right... of Pronghorn, which is in... Which, uh, which, which, uh, what do they call it?
• 15:48
Front of the range out there? It's in Syracuse. What do they call it? Downslope? What do they call your- And, uh-... the general zone? Well, so like, you guys are familiar with the Great Salt Lake.
• 15:56
Like, Utah's known for the Great Salt Lake. Which is supposed to dry up- Which is gonna go, yeah... in, like, five years, right? Five years it's gone. Right. Right, which is crazy. No.
• 16:03
But there's an island, or is sort of still an island, that is out there that's called Antelope Island, and there's one road that goes out to it along this long causeway.
• 16:11
You've probably even seen just incredible pictures of- I've been on Antelope Island, believe it or not... one side being pink and the other side being blue. Cool. Anyhow, we, our shop is right on that road.
• 16:21
But that's where we are is right at the mouth of the road that goes out to Antelope Island, so it's pretty easy to find us. Oh, sweet. Yeah, I've been to Antelope Island. Yeah. It's awesome.
• 16:30
I us- I fly radio-controlled sailplanes out there. It's a great place. Yeah. Cool. Uh, so, and, and is that- Very cool, very cool. Yeah... the, the, uh, the, the town and/or burg or village of Syracuse?
• 16:42
We're at, uh, 2432 West 1700 South Syracuse, uh, Utah 84075, and our phone number is 801-820-5934 if you wanna give me a call. What, what's that number again, please? That's actually what I have in the show notes.
• 16:58
So if you want- Oh, yeah. Good... to see that, you can look right at the show notes and you'll see exactly what he's talking about. Exactly. Yeah, that'll- I also stole some of your photos of the shop-...
• 17:07
that'll be the phone number... so I'm gonna post them along with the show notes. Plus I may borrow your, uh, your, your line. How many bikes are in your line of...
• 17:14
Is it, like, 30 bikes in your line of things you've built in the last not too long agos? Uh, 31 as of today. [laughs] You're a mad man. A mad man. Uh, with your permission- Yeah...
• 17:26
just so we don't get into a shouting match on Facebook, I would like to use that as the show- Sure... picture this week. [laughs] You are more than welcome to. You can use any of my pictures, brother. Yeah, man.
• 17:38
Um- Even the one where you're riding your bike off the roof? [laughs] You can use that one, too. You can use any of them that you want. Why the hell I- If you make any money, maybe, uh, kick me down a little.
• 17:48
I'm kinda sorta thinking I'm supposed to go out there. It's either this summer or next summer, so I'll come and buy you a beer. Oh, that'd be pretty fun. Thanks very much. Oh, yeah. Well- Oh, hell yeah. Hell yeah...
• 17:57
last time we got together was great, and that was a long time ago, so. Yeah. Hey, I even met your folks. Geez, wow. Time flies. That was... I met Mark's folks, guys. Wow. Yeah. They were so nice. Wow. Yeah, it was great.
• 18:07
I, I took him home to meet my parents. [laughs] [laughs] They said yes. [laughs] Yeah, they said, "Hey, thanks very much for taking Mark out. He's not feeling that great about himself," so.
• 18:17
[laughs] Like, it's just awesome that you're here. Thanks for coming. No, it was true. Like, at that moment, I really was in, like, an incredibly dark place. Like, I was super...
• 18:27
Nah, I don't wanna say the words, you know, just not wanting to go on, kinda. But now, time has flown and things have changed, and I guess the moral is keep going. Just keep pedaling, brother. Nice. Yeah. Keep pedaling.
• 18:38
Keep pedaling. Just keep pedaling. Oh, yeah. Keep ped- It's... If, if, uh, Finding Nemo were a bike show, that's what, that's what Dory would be saying.
• 18:46
[laughs] So Mark, I, I, I'm gonna find right now if you differ from Chewy as much as I think you do, but, uh, opinions on electric bikes. I, um, used to hate them, now I love them. Good for you. That kinda sums it up.
• 19:02
I used to love her, I had to kill her. [laughs] No. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. These, these things are, they, they just write themselves. That's, that's producing. [laughs] Well, the other day, I, I...
• 19:10
See, I'm kinda old and frail. I've been out, I've been out of shape for four years. I haven't been exercising a whole lot, and suddenly I'm commuting 17 miles every day by bicycle, right?
• 19:19
And that's, I- that's a great way to get into shape fast, but it's also a quick way to wear yourself out. Yep. One day, we had four inches of snow, just the worst slush in the whole world.
• 19:28
So I jumped on that electric bike thinking, "This is the only way I'm getting to work today. That other would kill me." And I ended up blasting through this stuff at 20 miles an hour with a giant smile on my face. Right?
• 19:39
That bike is- Goddamn... right?... awesome. Do you remember, I think it was, uh- Awesome... was it two years ago or last year?
• 19:45
Not this year, but couple years ago when I had the electric bi- When I was, I think, riding the bike that Andrew now owns- Yeah... which is a, a Bore 604 electric fat- Surface, yep... oh, Surface, yeah.
• 19:54
Bore, Surface 604 Bore electric fat bike. I think I was- Fucking great bike... on that thing that day, and I was blasting through, like, six inches of snow- I remember that...
• 20:03
going, like, 20 miles an hour where everybody else was on the bike path. Yeah. I'm like, "This is so great." Yeah. And then there was like a three or four foot- Yep... like, snowplow berm that I just blasted over.
• 20:13
I'm like, "This thing is so awesome." That was when Sam was following... Sam was following behind you- [laughs]... thinking he could keep up, and then he's like, "Jesus, God, that's cool." Yeah, yeah. Like, 'cause it is.
• 20:21
That, that hit w- Nothing tears ass. That, that made our buddy want an electric bike, for sure.
• 20:25
By the way, if, if anybody's interested in electric- Yeah, well, when it comes to commuting and going and get groceries, doing regular errands, it's the best thing in the whole world. Yep. Oh, my God.
• 20:32
If you wanna make a tour to go get groceries or anything, it becomes an adventure. Yeah.
• 20:36
So just on, uh, because I went to CABDA for some stupid reason, which I gotta say, as much hype as CABDA Midwest was- It was cool... it was significantly disappointing. Hmm. But, uh, one good thing- Hmm...
• 20:48
that came out of it is I met some folks, actually- Sweet, sweet... from out by, uh, Mark. They're in the valley there somewhere. I think they're south of you, maybe Draper or something.
• 20:57
Do they start with B and end with D? Oh, yeah.
• 20:58
No, they, they make, uh, they, they, they do electric bike stuff, but they also are suppliers of certain motors, including Bafang, but more importantly CYC make some awesome motors. Yep. And, uh, I think that- Yep...
• 21:11
that will be our next project, doing a Proton or a Photon, I don't know which one, s- uh, CYC, uh, bike m- conversion, because they look really sweet. I would- Are they mid? Is that... I don't know anything about them.
• 21:22
They are mid, and they're, they, they blow away a Bafang. They're like G- they're like German- Yeah... but they're not made in Germany. They're made in Taiwan or s- Aftermarket? Like, so bottle rocket motor?
• 21:32
Oh, yeah, baby. Oh, yeah. Oh, cool. I'll show- What do you have to say about this? I'll show you after the show. Amazing. Amazing. Yeah. Um, so I was- Yeah, yeah.
• 21:37
But- But, but I was looking at- They, they, they're so much fun. If no one's tried one, they need to try one. Right on.
• 21:41
Yeah, I was looking at your bike, and I was just wondering, is that- This is- Is it a f- is it, like, a buy it off the showroom floor one or is it, like, a Salsa something with a hub motor on it?
• 21:53
No, it is, uh, give me 35 seconds. [singing] 33. [singing] Na, na, na, na. Hey, you know what we could do? Hey, right, while he's looking for that. Hey, hey, hey, hey. Top of the hill.
• 22:08
Ooh, we got to the top of the hill already. Hey, look at me. Top of the hill. We'll just, uh, we'll just talk about our beer while Mark's getting the, the type of bike he's riding.
• 22:16
Uh, today, uh, in honor of almost a couple days or weeks or months away, is, uh, Abita's Mardi Gras Bock. Tony said, "I'm not gonna drink this fucking bock beer." I'm gonna drink it. Bite me. "Go fuck yourself." Ugh.
• 22:28
But anyway, I don't normally drink a bock beer. You don't like that beer? In the old days- I don't know a bock beer... they used to have, like Blatz had Klunbacher.
• 22:35
They would always say, "Well, we're cleaning out the bottom of the barrel. That's your bock beer." I don't believe that for a minute. They make it to be a bock beer.
• 22:42
[laughs] Anyway, uh, it is a- [laughs] It's a, just pale, it's- It is the Pe- Pedego Trail Tracker. Pedego- It's 10 watt. Oh, it's a Pedego. Okay. Mm-hmm. Trail Tracker. And it has a rear hub motor and a big ass battery.
• 22:53
Yes, sir. Fuck yeah. Yeah. And we've done a bunch of customization to it, so it's totally not stock. So can you program the, uh, the controller? No, it's way ghetto. It's, hey, it's not even that.
• 23:05
See, right now the way I've got it set up, the way I had to set it up just to make it work on the bike with a, a separate controller, is I start pedaling and it goes at top speed regardless of what I'm pedaling.
• 23:15
It just, it heads to the top speed, and then it's just a matter of applying brakes. But it's... I've got a tur- 32 tooth on there, so I spin at about five miles an hour, a spinner.
• 23:27
So it's up to speed at, uh, 21 miles an hour in about 100 feet. Nice. [laughs] Sounds right to me. All right. Hey, anybody that doesn't love an el- uh, love electric bikes- Chewy.
• 23:39
Hey, you gotta ride more of them is all I'm saying. [laughs] It's so much fun. It just, it, it brings out the Conan in me. The, the perma-grin is so true. Yeah. All right. So we're talking about this- Yeah...
• 23:50
this place that's out by you, and, uh, the CYC motor.
• 23:53
One, another thing they have that's really cool, and something that Tony and I have been doing for a few years now, is they have a very small, it's eight amp power, so it's not that small, but it goes behind your seat, and it's super light, and it can still push 50 amps- Yeah...
• 24:08
if you really want it to. And that, for me, that would get me- Yeah... 20, 25 miles easily.
• 24:14
And- I think that kinda technology is really, as it moves forward, it's gonna make a huge change, 'cause you can just slap it on any bike and you're down the road. Yep. Yeah. Well, it's like your- Yep...
• 24:21
I mean, on your bike you have the big, you know, shark style battery, and that's great 'cause it gives you good range, but it's also heavy as fuck- Yep... really need the range- Yep... why not just have half the weight?
• 24:32
And the cool thing is, which I didn't even think about, you could just put another one in your backpack- Right. Carry both... if you think you're going further. Yep. Uh, Tony- Yep...
• 24:38
we had this battery bank idea here, which I thought was brilliant, except that now Grin has... They lost their chip manufacturer- Killed it...
• 24:45
so they can't make the battery we're using anymore, but the same thing could go- Mm... with this little mini battery, is if you need extra range, just come and rent one or two of them and go on your long dee trip.
• 24:55
So it'd be, [laughs] you know. Yeah. Is it still, like, 18650s in the- Yeah. I think they're 27 hundo. Oh, wow. The, the new ones are, but the old ones are 18650s. Um, yeah, and it's, it's, it, it's 50...
• 25:08
Well, nominally 52 volts, but 58 volts or whatever you can charge one up to, and uh, uh, eight amp hours, which is- Well, the bike I'm riding is, like, eight years old. Right. Wow. No kidding?
• 25:18
It's quite a bit older what I'm riding. The new stuff is incredible. I can't believe that bike's that old. Uh, I thought they were- Yeah. Yeah, it's like a 2015...
• 25:24
I thought they were pushing wheels around with, like, stone axles and stuff back then. Pretty much. Wood. Wood. [laughs] Bamboo. Oh, man.
• 25:34
Oh, if you guys hear clinkies, just pay no attention to clinkies in the background. I'm building a bike right now. [laughs] I like clinkies. That, uh, the Silver... What's the Silver Ghost or the Silver Chalice?
• 25:45
Silver Surfer? Silver Surfer. I don't know. You had some Cannondale that was just like- Oh, yeah. I, I call it Diggy Stardust. It's got crazy... It's all chrome and stuff. The Cannondale, uh, Killer, Killer Nine- 900.
• 25:56
I was just looking at the fork and I thought, "Is that a 20-inch fork on there?" I'm like, "No, it's got 26-inch wheels, so must be, like, an old Manitou or something weird- Yep... or I don't know."
• 26:05
So is this an old Killer V? No, it's a custom, uh, 19 nine... It's a Bespoke 1996 IRD, uh, uh, fork. It's really kind of rare, and I stumbled across it from a dude that was friends with those guys,
• 26:18
and I have hung onto it like it was the Hope Diamond. [laughs] It is pretty sweet.
• 26:23
Hey, speaking of Bespoke, I don't think he's out your way, I think he's in California, but one of the only other reasons that going to Cabda was a good thing this year is I got to see Reese.
• 26:33
Uh, the, y- you know the guys that make the great forks? Yeah. And they still rebuild... The one fork that I have from back in the '90s is the Allowa Leader, and he says, "Well, do you wanna sell it?" I'm like...
• 26:48
He goes, "Everybody wants those." He goes, "You could get $6 to $800." Yep. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Kevin Reese, awesome guy, and I j- the last time I saw him- Yep...
• 26:56
was in, I don't know, Interbike, so it's, like, several years ago, and he, he remembered talking about the Allowa Leader. Why does Kevin Reese sound familiar? Who- Oh, h- they make some- Who's Kevin Reese with? Okay.
• 27:05
He sounds super familiar. Well, that's his company, Reese Racing or whatever it's called, and they make all CNC- Ah... beautiful fork stuff.
• 27:12
But here's the deal, he had this excellent looking fork with a handlebar on it, and it was standing on the floor and it had, like, a 150 axle on it. I go, "You guys are making fat bike forks again?"
• 27:22
He goes, "No, this is for that, uh..." What's that stupid electric bike from, uh... It, it, it's, it's, like, b- it's fast, and it's big, and it's f- it's the big bike company. Sondor? No, but that's close. Anyway.
• 27:37
Um, yeah, the other one. Like, uh, you know what it is. Yeah. Tony knows what it is. It's, uh, John, John Metalblender. Is he, like, the... Yeah, he's stoned over there. I don't know. [laughs] No, I'm not.
• 27:44
That's the problem. It, it is the, ah. Oh. Time to get to the side of the hill? Who's the big- Rad? No. Starts with a Z maybe, or not maybe. I don't know.
• 27:57
Anyway, this, this fork, everybody's modding this bike with his badass fork. I'm like, "It could still be a fat bike fork." Right. He goes, "Yeah," but then he picked it up and he goes, "But it weighs, like, a lot."
• 28:09
Oh, really? Yeah. So it's a chunky... Well, he used to make a 135 fat bike fork way back in the day. It was awesome. It was a little hefty, hefty, hefty. But these are basically, like, mini motorcycle forks.
• 28:22
They're so badass, [laughs] so adjustable, and so huge. Hey, I've got a question for you guys. Uh, y- you guys are super smart on this stuff, and you've been doing it, uh, for- Liar... a decade. Liar.
• 28:32
Um, fr- front tire fenders on fat bikes, man. It... Well, give me some options so that I...
• 28:37
Uh, a gentleman sent me, Bob Stover had sent me a care package today w- that had a fender pack, uh, on it that goes just on the down tube, and I guess it blocks the splash back, and I could have used it that one day that I described earlier, and I think that's why he sent it.
• 28:50
But it was incredibly nice of him to just send this to me, but there's gotta be better options out there for blocking, you know- There, there either-... fenders on fat bikes... there either is or will be.
• 29:00
There was a, a, a dude up in Minnesota for a while that made a really nice plastic full coverage- Yeah, that was cool... beautiful fender, and somehow Jeff Jones now- Yeah... has that.
• 29:10
So Jeff Jones should be reintroducing that fender. He already kinda splashed it, so I'm not taking his, wind out of his sails or, uh, whatever, Jeff Jones. Hey, Jeff Jones. How's it going? Anyway, um- Hi, Jeff...
• 29:22
Jones Bikes are some of the coolest bikes in the world, and they needed something for wider tires, and somehow he ended up with- Yep... the molds, I think, for this thing or whatever.
• 29:31
And they can make them, but they don't have the hardware kits yet or some- something, something. But it's coming, and that's a full coverage fender that'll do at least a four-inch. It might even do a five-inch.
• 29:41
And it's plastic. Yeah, yeah, and see- Sorry, Zan... that's what we need. We don't need just a big flat fender. We need, we need something that's got a, a curve over it to get that- It absolutely, yeah, it is...
• 29:50
more of a full coverage. Do you have a front rack? 'Cause sometimes I like to, like, put something over the bottom of my front rack, which definitely helps with splash on the fat bike. Yeah. Sure.
• 30:00
Well, Zan's, um, surface- I'm thinking about just stealing a motorcycle fender, like a straight up motorcycle fender. That is not a bad idea at all. Ooh, that, that, that really is not a bad idea. I do have one.
• 30:08
It's a Yamaha, like, 125. I bought a couple of them to try and make molds off of. Nice. And I never made the mold. Yeah. But, eh, it, I still have them, and so, like, a 125 motorcycle would be about the right size. Yeah.
• 30:21
Yeah. Bring, bring it with when you come out and I'll make it. But the problem with them is they're heavy as hell. Oh. Yeah, 'cause they're, they're steel. They're soup. Yeah. They're made for steel, yeah.
• 30:25
Well, these are... The, the one that I have are plastic, but they're still heavy because they're super thick- Yeah... so when you crash doing your motocrossing- You don't break it. Oh. Oh... you don't break it.
• 30:34
I've got a spare KLR, uh- Oh... front fender that, that might work. Probably pretty similar. But it's still pretty heavy, and you should make a mold out of it. Lighten the weight Anyway, so, so- Mr. Shady Oak...
• 30:43
Andrew's, uh, Surface has metal fenders, which are very large and very awesome too Nice I mean, I, I'm not- Hola Loud as fuck though They, yeah, they kinda bang around a little bit.
• 30:53
That's why the plastic is almost exactly the same shape as Andrew's fenders, but- They're quieter... more quieter. I have a pair of metal fenders- Mm... same thing Well, they're wondering if we could, uh- Stealth mode...
• 31:04
bolt some, uh, uh- [laughs] Are you trying to-... like a carbon fiber top... are you trying to get the smoky pipe over there? I like that I dunno. Hey, Mark- [laughs]...
• 31:12
can, just, just, just, just as a question, is, uh, is the, uh, is the devil weed legal out there in Utah yet? Absolutely. I have r- I have a prescription- What, what, what?... for cannabis.
• 31:21
I can go downtown and I can, I can go buy me an eighth of weed, no problem. I got some crazy purple weed the other day. It was incredible. Good Lord. Wow. Do they not, is- From the state. I know, right? Well- Crazy...
• 31:33
that's definitely trend- Oh, you have state, you have state-sponsored weed just like state-sponsored booze? Hmm. That's hilarious. There is.
• 31:39
Well, as long as you get over that three- I mean, until, you know, it, it's huge now... the three-two threshold [laughs] Well, to be fair, my- Yeah, I mean, it's huge out there...
• 31:45
my family did found that state out there, so if you ever wanna know how that goes. I mean, we've talked about that. They kicked you out, dude. Mm. I know, on purpose, but yeah.
• 31:53
Well, they kicked your uncle out or grandpa out or whatever. Hey- First judge- You still have the special onions? First judge of Salt Lake and first postmaster. Exactly. Sir, I didn't know that. That's impressive.
• 32:02
I, I believe, uh, I believe Sven's got some history in Utah, some deep history in Utah. And I have a d- And then someone gave him some alcohol... I have a deep history all over the West.
• 32:12
I don't know why I came back to the Midwest. 'Cause it's the best. All right, Mark- I re- I remember just getting, like- I don't know about all that...
• 32:19
I remember try- [laughs] I, I remember trying to drink- I prefer free water... yeah- Right?... w- like trying to g- like we were on a road trip in, in, when, uh, way back in history, 20, more than 20 years ago,
• 32:32
and, uh, trying to drink, trying to drink on the road trip. And we were p- we bought all this beer and drinking and drinking, drinking. It was the 3.2 beer. Oh, yeah. Oh. That'll get you.
• 32:43
And it was just like, um- That's like normal 4.5 beer for me... I really, I, I really should be, uh, feeling whatever I'm feeling here- And I got nothing... instead of going to the bathroom constantly.
• 32:52
But nothing You're feeling kinda ripped off, aren't ya? Yeah, yeah. I dunno. There's some really impressive- Yeah. It's like you just have to pee. Yeah, exactly. All I'm doing, I'm like jeez.
• 33:00
There's some really impressive- You've come a long way, Utah... yeah, it is. I like to pee... you've come a long way I'll say since then.
• 33:05
[laughs] There's some pretty impressive breweries in Salt Lake City that are working within that, I forget what that weird limit is.
• 33:12
Like, the, the Salt Lake Cityans must feel so bored ha- Salt Lake Cityans [laughs] I like how you came up with that...
• 33:18
uh, having the same conversation with every Midwesterner that's like, "Oh man, we can get, you know, n- nine and 10% beers from our gas stations, uh, a- a- and walk up and handed." We go, "What's going on with you guys?"
• 33:30
That, that makes me think of something. Mark, are you anywhere near Wasatch Brewing? Wasatch. Wasatch. Wasatch. Uh- Wonder- wonder-... they're, they're about 45 minutes away. They're in Salt Lake.
• 33:40
They're not too far away. Yeah. So- Fairly close... the, the owner of that brewery graduated from Marquette High School with a former coworker of mine. Oh, right, right. UWM. My congratulations. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Really?
• 33:55
[laughs] And he is the most hilarious old dude you have ever met. I mean, that's why he came up with Polygamy Porter, 'cause one's just not enough. [laughs] Yeah.
• 34:05
Um, he is y- you, if you ever get around that area, you should just go in and be like, "So I hear you're from Milwaukee." And he will just spark up a great conversation with you, dude. [laughs] He's hilarious. Awesome.
• 34:17
We should, we should go give Mark a tour of his own town 'cause I know a lot of people out there too. [laughs] Oh, Avery, who used to buy bikes from us. You just have, you just- Avery's a professor out there now...
• 34:26
you just gotta meet the right people in Salt Lake and you're good to go. Yep. Yep. Are, are you guys familiar with, uh, Park City? Yeah? Yeah. Oh, yeah. You've heard of it, right? Of course.
• 34:36
And there's a distillery out there called High West Distillery. They ma- they make, uh- Oh... rye and all kinds of whiskeys- Yep. Oh, sure... and really high-end, uh, whiskey. I did the architecture for that building.
• 34:46
Oh. I was the guy that was the- Cool... project manager for that entire construction in some way. Oh, yeah. Mark had a, Mark had a former life as an architect. Nice. I, I used to do, like, stuff.
• 34:55
You used to do real stuff. [laughs] Well, well, Mark, when you come and visit and you stay in my guest room, don't you give me shit about my architecture. Oh, yeah, 'cause yeah, we had to- [laughs] I, I won't.
• 35:06
All right, Mark- I, I've learned through life. Yeah. Um, yeah, I mean- Thank you so much. It, it's been a pleasure hanging out with you guys- I think you're a, you're-...
• 35:15
as always, and if you ever want me on again, I would be more than happy to come back. Absolutely. Anytime. Anytime. Well, hey, we're gonna, next month or whatever we'll have your 3- we'll have your intro.
• 35:22
We'll have your wa- your walk in. What do they call it when you come in the wrestling ring? Your, uh- Uh-huh. [laughs] Intro song or whatever? Well, yeah, your walk up or your walk on intro. WWE shit.
• 35:32
Not only do it, but you know- Yeah. Yeah. "It's okay, brother. I'm gonna be here for you 100 years." Listen to the end. "Take the money or the game."
• 35:40
Li- listen to the rest of the show 'cause- I'll, I'll put it on and then send you guys a picture of me like a wrestler. Yeah.
• 35:45
[laughs] Li- listen to the end of the show 'cause Zan's gonna talk about our beloved people's holiday, and you should really strongly consider coming out here in end of July and having fun.
• 35:54
Yeah, he should talk a little more- Yeah... about that because we talked about how they're gonna do the planning thing coming up in a couple of weeks, but- It's really fun, dude...
• 36:01
let's, let's just do a quick overview of the event. I would love to come out. Let's make it happen. Let's do it. All right, Mark. Keep listening, brother, but, uh, we'll have Andrew- We will set you up...
• 36:09
we'll have Andrew's day in court right now, thank you. Oh, God. Dun, dun. Talk to you soon, Mark. Right on. Peace. Well, you guys have a great day. You can cut me off and/or you can let me listen now. No, you can listen.
• 36:19
We're not gonna cut you off. Keep drinking. No, no, yeah, j- all you have to do is not talk and you'll be- I'm just filling the mic... all you have to do is not talk and you'll be listening. [laughs] Oh, yeah.
• 36:27
I, I can do that. Just pass me some. I know. That's what, that's kinda what I'm trying to do. [laughs] Yeah, JK's been very, very un- with- I had my nap today...
• 36:34
five, five to seven or, or 12 people talking all at once... I was up till 5:00 in the morning... shut your dirty whore mouth. What was, what was- [laughs] [laughs] All right, Mark, thanks again. No problem. Thank you.
• 36:45
It's awesome. That is what it was. I mean, you're a busy guy. Love you guys, and- If you got the time, we got the beer... love to come talk to you next month, man. All right. Peace. Thanks, man[laughs]
• 36:55
Mark, Mark, monthly guest. It's the first, it's the first guest I actually made an offer to to do a theme song for. I, he's such a nice guy. And I- Now you gotta follow up...
• 37:03
but that's just because- He's such a great human to talk to though... I am going to use this open AI thing to do it, and see if it does what we need it to do. Oh, cool. Uh, we're gonna have to talk to Mark again, though.
• 37:13
We're gonna have to get him to text us a couple of bands he likes and- Oh, come on with shit... does he, does he like- Oh, just to shove it into the AI and like- Yeah... spit out?
• 37:21
Okay, so, uh, and this AI thing is pretty badass, 'cause my son's working for his Eagle project, but he got disgruntled 'cause his first one got hosed, and I'm like, "Well, let's just get some letters out there."
• 37:33
And we had to do one for Metro Mountain Bikers. And I said, "Here's what I'm gonna put in this ChatGPT thing." Mm-hmm.
• 37:40
And it came up with a very nice letter, which I had to modify obviously some, but it was, it was kind of spot on on the things and in a tone of voice that would be semi-professional, but maybe written by a 16-year-old kid.
• 37:53
Yeah. Hm. No, I, uh- It does have nuances. It's like, write this like I'm a 93-year-old dowager countess in England, or write it like I'm a 12-year-old kid who had just barely learned to read.
• 38:05
Write it like I'm a system administrator and this is my, uh, resignation letter. I know a guy. Did you do that? Did, did you- Yeah. [laughs] Did you use it verbatim, or did you change some things?
• 38:16
Uh, I, I changed a couple things, 'cause it got a little flowery towards the end. You mean it didn't end with fuck you and die? Was, was there a bunch of brown-nosing and shit?
• 38:22
It was, it was just, it was a little too lovey. Like, I get along with everyone, you know, and, you know, uh, no disrespect for my, to my former employer. Uh- Fuck you... like, we- no. It, uh, but, um- Fuck you...
• 38:35
it, I didn't need to fellate them in my resignation. [laughs] Uh- And speaking of resignation, since, uh, Tony's resigned to not drinking Bock, this is really good. This is a- Yeah... pretty fine beer, I will admit.
• 38:49
Get- yeah I enjoy it. You should not have poo-pooed it, 'cause now you don't get to have one. I don't want any. I'm gonna have a wat. Powder Day. Oh, yeah. Powder Day. I'll take a Powder Day.
• 38:58
Powder Day IPA was our fluffer beer- Okay... and it was not bad. And well, we had it last week. Thanks, Tony. Yeah. I'll turn that down now. Thanks, Terry. You could've left me. [laughs] Jackass. Well- All right.
• 39:09
  So b- No, yeah...
• 39:10
before we get out of here, 'cause we've already bended the ear of our listener way too long normally, but, uh, just over- quick overview of the River West 24, and how many years, what happens, blah, blah, blah, because it, we'll have more time to do this down the road.
• 39:25
As we roll up. But yeah, just kind of quick overview and, uh, uh- So, uh- Powder Dry, by the way. I keep saying Powder Day. Or is it Powder Day? It is Powder Day. Powder Day. No, it's Powder Dry. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 39:36
You're a Powder Dry. Whatever. I keep fucking it up. Whatever. Yeah, there's- It's like- It's not a musket. Yeah. I was like... Yeah. [laughs] Well played. Uh, the River West 24, I think we're in our what? 16th year.
• 39:47
Someone's gonna have to count my tattoos. I beat you. Uh- [laughs] I don't know either. I always have to count the tattoos. All right. Tony, drop 'em. [growls] Drop 'em. Drop the- Um- The pants are coming off now.
• 39:56
[laughs] Uh, i- it's always the, the last full weekend in July. Uh, about 1,000 to 2,000 riders. Except for when it was the 24th on the 24th. Huh. It was not the last weekend. I- Oh, sure...
• 40:10
was, I was- I cut Tony off 'cause he was being a dick. No, I was getting beer. [laughs] But there was one season where it was not the final weekend, two years ago. Uh, uh, yeah.
• 40:19
La- last full, but I mean, like, if it starts on the 24th, we're obviously gonna use the fucking 24th. Right. I know. Uh, cur- currently it's $24, uh, sign up. Uh, you know, don't count me on that.
• 40:31
We- we're going- That's ungodly cheap. Yeah, it is ungodly cheap for 24 hours of, uh- Food... food, party- You get two meals... riding. You get a T-shirt. Mm-hmm. You get- So, so-...
• 40:43
the undying love of everyone in the neighborhood... there are two types of riders- Except for my neighbor. Fuck him... for the, for the 24.
• 40:48
There are people that believe that this is a 24-hour endurance race through, uh, the neighborhood, uh, playing in traffic, uh, that happens to have a house party going on around it, or a block party going on around it.
• 41:00
Then there's the other rider that believes there is a 24-hour block party that is happening with a street ra- illegal street bicycle race going on throughout the, uh, race. We're, we're not saying it's illegal, though.
• 41:12
It's not illegal. It's not... I mean, I'm not a lawyer. You know, I- You do stupid things, you are illegal. No. Hm. Don't do stupid things, you're not. What? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we're only responsible- Yeah...
• 41:24
for checkpoints. Right. Right. Um, but I'm not a lawyer. You sign the waiver. Uh, but a- anyway- I just- Uh-... Uno Yamada es Toto... like on CBD, though. [laughs] The, uh- Right, Kyle? That's all. Uno Yamada es Toto.
• 41:40
This is, uh, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for all of our national and global listeners. Uh- That would be 53212 zip code if you wanna look it up on your telly ringer.
• 41:49
Uh, it, it is a great opportunity to get to know people, uh, get to know the neighborhood, uh, have just an amazing time. There... It's an endurance race with, uh, bonus checkpoints along the way.
• 42:02
Think- Community involvement. Yeah, community involvement. But think things like, uh, old Nickelodeon games, but in real time and done by a bunch of punk rocks.
• 42:10
[laughs] My, my fa- my favorite bonus checkpoint- Well played... I think from my early years was when we filled sandbags for- Yeah, that was a good one... for flood control. For Habitat for Humanity.
• 42:19
And did shit with Habi- yeah, Habitat for Humanity. Mm-hmm. It's just like, yeah, those were f- those were worthwhile ones because it was a needed thing.
• 42:26
Li- living in River West as long as I have, if you would've- Not so long... if you would've come- So long... it's a long time. I love this neighborhood. [sings] So long. We, Andrew and I have had this conversation.
• 42:38
I, this is the neighborhood. Yeah. Um, but if anyone would've ever told me 20 years ago,
• 42:46
"You're gonna jump with a wooden dildo between your legs to a table, put a condom on it, and jump back to get a bonus lap"- Jump out... I would've been like, "What?" Jump. Which is five miles. Well, I have done that.
• 42:59
About five and a half miles. I have done that. Not four. It was two that one. If you do it, if you do it right, it's four. But I have done that, and, and it was, it was to support Planned Parenthood.
• 43:06
And I'm like, "This is- There's, there's alleys... hilarious"... there's yards. Oh, yeah... there's- Uh, i- i- i- There may be a helicopter involved, I don't know. Yeah. Let's make it shorter.
• 43:14
In my dirt bag youth, uh, uh, we, we've done all sorts of, uh, things. But now we're... as, as we're older, we're a little bit, uh, less malleable, right?
• 43:24
Well, we haven't been kicked out for not wearing a helmet, so there you go. Oh, that is a rule. Handsome rule. And, and, and Handsome Bob is still kicked out.
• 43:30
[laughs] Handsome Bob is still kicked out, I guess he should- [laughs] All right, everybody. A- I'm gonna do it without a helmet and against the flow. As- You, you can Yeah... there's no, there's no reason you can't.
• 43:40
I love Bob. As sad as I am- [laughs]... about Raquel Welch passing away at the advanced age of 82- Wow...
• 43:47
and as happy as I am about Andrew Zahn joining us, and also Mark Peterson, I gotta say I'm really, really fucking sad 'cause I gotta... it's time to go. The end of the show? Aw. We get another show? I don't know.
• 43:58
Come here for a hug. We could... let's do another show next week. 201. Otherwise, I don't even know. I'm gonna go watch Bedazzled and Li- Yeah... Lily Lust. Is there a Rihanna in there? [sings] What?
• 44:10
Rihanna in that show? Anyway, no. Raquel Welch is. And I'll see y'all- Same thing... Rihanna. They're the same person, just- March 2nd... 45 years apart. [laughs] All right, everybody. March 2nd. March 2nd.
• 44:19
March 2nd, everyone. At La Casino Delta. Also, come over and, and figure out how you can be a helpful human to this wonderful event. Yeah. At- La Casino Delta...
• 44:27
you will never f- find anything like this in any other, any other city- Nowhere... probably in the world- Right... let alone the United States of America. If you don't have a good time, there's something wrong.
• 44:35
You wanna fall in love, you'll fall in love that night. Oh, yeah. I agree with that. You might even move to Milwaukee.
• 44:39
That's why I don't want all people to come here, 'cause they're gonna find out how great this place is. Then they're gonna find out about Oscar. Then it's gonna get all expensive.
• 44:44
Then they're gonna find out about the damn beer alley. And all the California fucks are gonna come here. And then they're, ah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then they're gonna be like- What a great show...
• 44:49
  La Casino Delta.
• 44:50
  [upbeat music]
