- 0:04Speaker 1: Let's just do it. Let's do the show and we'll
- 0:06Speaker 1: see what flies out.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Of our mouths.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the Favorite's presented by Draft Kings. The Crown
- 0:13Speaker 1: is yours. We are an Action Network podcast. I'm Brandon Kravitz,
- 0:17Speaker 1: your hosts. Back at it with the first lady of
- 0:20Speaker 1: the pod, Kendra Middleton. We're going to the quarterfinals in
- 0:24Speaker 1: the World's Cup. We'll chat with our residents soccer guru
- 0:27Speaker 1: Danielle Physikella later on in the show to see if
- 0:30Speaker 1: we can extract some value out of the final eight.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm still reeling off of that Team USA loss, even
- 0:38Speaker 1: though it was Danielle who told us round of sixteen,
- 0:42Speaker 1: stage of elimination, it was not a bet I was
- 0:44Speaker 1: willing to place because I was feeling the two fifty
- 0:48Speaker 1: patriotism this year. And now, of course, Kendra, the conversation
- 0:53Speaker 1: has devolved into soccer is too expensive for kids. We
- 0:56Speaker 1: could have seen this coming from a mile away.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I heard some ass on Fox Radio yesterday say that
- 1:02Speaker 3: that's the laziest take he's ever heard, and it really
- 1:05Speaker 3: pissed me off because it's true, like that is on
- 1:08Speaker 3: a global scale. In comparison, Yes, we have so many
- 1:12Speaker 3: other sports here that kids have to choose from. But
- 1:15Speaker 3: it's the same thing with basketball, like we are not
- 1:17Speaker 3: getting the same shirts and skins, show up and play
- 1:20Speaker 3: because everything is AAU travel whatever.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Now and it's literally it's it's the price. It's yes.
- 1:28Speaker 3: The development is also an issue and people are comparing
- 1:31Speaker 3: it to the women saying, okay, well why can the
- 1:33Speaker 3: women make it but the men can't, And it's because
- 1:36Speaker 3: women don't have as many options of sports to play.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Hello, we also have a head start I think if
- 1:43Speaker 1: you were too, if you for some reason with soccer,
- 1:47Speaker 1: the clock of when you started playing this sport as
- 1:50Speaker 1: a country matters, and our women started playing generations before
- 1:57Speaker 1: women around the world. So we have a hit I
- 2:00Speaker 1: head start with females playing the sport. We do not
- 2:04Speaker 1: have a head start with men playing the sport. We
- 2:06Speaker 1: are still very much in catchup mode. We just had
- 2:09Speaker 1: the two hundred and fiftieth birthday of the country. There
- 2:13Speaker 1: wasn't a soul playing soccer when Ben Franklin was hanging
- 2:16Speaker 1: around and they were writing up conjectularations depending not so
- 2:20Speaker 1: I mean you go back to the history of this country.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It's it took us a while to get around to
- 2:27Speaker 1: the just the playing of this sport, and all these
- 2:30Speaker 1: sports are expensive. You think baseball, we just won a
- 2:34Speaker 1: gold in hockey, you think hockey is fucking cheap. Have
- 2:37Speaker 1: you ever tried to buy hockey equipment?
- 2:40Speaker 4: A stick is an eight hundred bucks dude.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Time.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I tend to agree that is one of the laziest
- 2:48Speaker 1: takes that's out there. It is true, but we do
- 2:51Speaker 1: this every single time the United States gets eliminated or
- 2:56Speaker 1: or does it make the World Cup to begin with
- 2:59Speaker 1: lazy analysis. But I will tell you I've not been
- 3:03Speaker 1: betting a ton of World Cup because I tend to
- 3:07Speaker 1: stay in my lane when it comes to ninety to
- 3:10Speaker 1: ninety five percent of my wagers. Been crushing it in
- 3:14Speaker 1: the baseball world lately, excited for football season to get
- 3:17Speaker 1: back up and running. I am profitable in the World
- 3:21Speaker 1: Cup and I have a five to one on France
- 3:26Speaker 1: to win it all. So we're sitting pretty dug.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Any of my bets in the app, And I don't
- 3:30Speaker 3: know why. I'm just you know how like sometimes you
- 3:33Speaker 3: like you have bets that you log and bets that
- 3:35Speaker 3: you don't from like a confidence perspective, you know what
- 3:38Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 3:39Speaker 1: For sure, I will say the trick for me, and
- 3:43Speaker 1: this is I mean, this is really company shill kind
- 3:46Speaker 1: of stuff here. I have the Action Network app on
- 3:50Speaker 1: the cover. It's on the front page of the phone,
- 3:54Speaker 1: so that I don't forget.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Actually put notifications on that.
- 3:59Speaker 1: That is wait, but we're missing out on precious information.
- 4:04Speaker 1: If I'm going to log a bet, if I'm putting
- 4:06Speaker 1: my hard earned dollars on a wager, I feel as though,
- 4:11Speaker 1: as a member of this Action collective, it is my
- 4:14Speaker 1: duty to share it with people. Whether it's shit or not,
- 4:17Speaker 1: that's up to you to decide, and then hopefully we
- 4:20Speaker 1: cash it.
- 4:20Speaker 3: You know what, You've You've changed my perspective, all right,
- 4:24Speaker 3: I'm speaking shit.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna see if I can change your perspective on this,
- 4:28Speaker 1: because I know that if there's anybody out there that's
- 4:31Speaker 1: anti a thousand people closing down Madison Square Garden in
- 4:35Speaker 1: the streets of New York for a wedding, it would
- 4:39Speaker 1: be you. Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift officially tie the knot.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I tend to be more of the My wife's a
- 4:46Speaker 1: swifty I appreciate her music.
- 4:50Speaker 4: I know what I wife, don't tell me that.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I think the whole swift is part of the NFL
- 4:58Speaker 1: story has been more positive than negative. It's brought a
- 5:04Speaker 1: female audience that wasn't necessarily there before. All that is positive,
- 5:08Speaker 1: father daughter.
- 5:09Speaker 3: All that tell me log on and started telling me
- 5:12Speaker 3: shit about football when they've been following.
- 5:14Speaker 4: It for a week is if they know about fuck.
- 5:17Speaker 3: But yes, I agree, more women, I'm happy to have you.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I will say.
- 5:22Speaker 1: This wedding, though, is where they may have gone a
- 5:26Speaker 1: step too far. The fact that Dean Blandino was invited
- 5:31Speaker 1: to this wedding has me so baffled. How do you
- 5:36Speaker 1: want to rules analyst for Fox at this wedding? We
- 5:40Speaker 1: should have been invited.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Carissa Thompson was invited.
- 5:43Speaker 3: The craziest thing to me though, Adam Sandler officiating.
- 5:46Speaker 2: This ship.
- 5:48Speaker 4: That is cool is objectively random, but shout out on
- 5:53Speaker 4: New Hampshire.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I vote for. If we're gonna do most random guest
- 6:00Speaker 1: at the wedding, to me, it's got to be Dean Blandino.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I never would have if you said I'll give it
- 6:07Speaker 1: to give you a million people. I thought that was
- 6:10Speaker 1: AI when I saw that.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Ruth, How have you to cross paths?
- 6:14Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense. I want to know what
- 6:16Speaker 1: the thought process was going into the invite list, Like
- 6:20Speaker 1: if I've played against you, if I've played with you,
- 6:24Speaker 1: if you've.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Breathed and been in the same room, you were invited
- 6:27Speaker 4: to this wedding.
- 6:28Speaker 1: They just went to the NFL owners meetings and started
- 6:30Speaker 1: handing out invitations. Thompson, I think he wants a job
- 6:35Speaker 1: with Fox.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Aaron Andrews. Yeah, yeah, actually I did that so I
- 6:40Speaker 4: got married.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I got married in twenty seventeen. Part of the invite
- 6:45Speaker 1: list for me was people that I wanted to work
- 6:50Speaker 1: with more. If I was getting married now, everyone at
- 6:54Speaker 1: Action would be invited to the wedding. You know you
- 6:57Speaker 1: do use it as a wedding. Yeah, you do that absolutely.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Gifford's only getting a cloud invite.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, uh for sure. And a plus any get a
- 7:10Speaker 1: plus one.
- 7:11Speaker 4: It's okay. Your wife would invite me because she actually
- 7:13Speaker 4: likes me.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That is true. Coming up, Daniel A Physickella drops some
- 7:17Speaker 1: of his soccer wisdom on the group. But first a
- 7:20Speaker 1: bit of wisdom as we chat about the greatness that
- 7:23Speaker 1: is the DraftKings sports app.

- 7:28Speaker 3: you an incredible brand new offer just in time for

- 7:49Speaker 3: and stay in the game of the crown is yours.
- 7:52Speaker 1: The man who brought us the US stage of elimination
- 7:56Speaker 1: Round of sixteen bet is back, daniela Physickella Action Network
- 8:01Speaker 1: soccer analysts. I know it wasn't a popular take at
- 8:04Speaker 1: the time, but anybody who backed that is now at
- 8:08Speaker 1: least profitable on one of their many wagers throughout the
- 8:11Speaker 1: World Cup. So I hate to see them go, but
- 8:13Speaker 1: thank you for the early winner. Before we get thank
- 8:16Speaker 1: you for.
- 8:17Speaker 2: The introduction that makes me extremely popular in the US
- 8:20Speaker 2: now if I wasn't before. So yeah, that's my ticket
- 8:23Speaker 2: to the US, that's my green card. Thank you very much.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yes, of course, I mean before before we get into
- 8:29Speaker 1: the deep dive, We've got eight teams left and some
- 8:34Speaker 1: really good matches coming up. Let's talk about that team
- 8:37Speaker 1: USA squad. How disappointed should American soccer fans be after
- 8:42Speaker 1: losing and maybe in the way that they lost. You
- 8:46Speaker 1: thought going into the tournament that that's exactly where they
- 8:49Speaker 1: would be eliminated. So maybe you could talk some people
- 8:51Speaker 1: off the ledge because folks in this country are freaking
- 8:55Speaker 1: out over the loss. In the future of American soccer, I've.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Been freaking out is another reaction, because let's face it,
- 9:03Speaker 2: Round of sixteen has always been the ceiling for the
- 9:06Speaker 2: US American team, and the premises before the tournament was that, yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 2: the US could have been competitive alongside some lower tier
- 9:17Speaker 2: European oppositions that with exactly what they did. They beat
- 9:21Speaker 2: Bosnia comfortably, then against Paraguay, the one against Australia they
- 9:25Speaker 2: didn't deserve to lose it against Turkey, had that game matter,
- 9:29Speaker 2: probably the US would have at least got a draw.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And I think that's exactly what they are. I still
- 9:34Speaker 2: remember Pochettino before the tournament saying, we don't have any
- 9:38Speaker 2: player in the top fifty of the world make it
- 9:42Speaker 2: into the top hundred. I don't think the US have
- 9:44Speaker 2: got any player in the top under the world. And
- 9:47Speaker 2: we have seen this World Cup. The big players, these
- 9:51Speaker 2: side games. Big players change games, but without without respect.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I don't think that the US team has got a
- 9:57Speaker 2: poor team, not at all. I think they are a
- 10:00Speaker 2: competitive team that unfortunately get picked up in the areas
- 10:05Speaker 2: where has been lacking for many years, defense, goalkeepers, and
- 10:11Speaker 2: that's exactly where the mistakes have come from. But ultimately,
- 10:15Speaker 2: when Belgium were able to match them physically, which that's
- 10:18Speaker 2: what made the US very strong in the first few games,
- 10:22Speaker 2: you know, the intensity playing on the front foot. As
- 10:24Speaker 2: soon as Belgium mugin physically, the US basically had no answers.
- 10:29Speaker 2: But not everything is lost. I think they can still improve,
- 10:34Speaker 2: they can still continue with Pochettino. Hope they will. There
- 10:37Speaker 2: is a crop of players that is still young and
- 10:40Speaker 2: can go into the next Gold Cup, into the next
- 10:44Speaker 2: tournament as well with courage. But of course he has
- 10:47Speaker 2: put a spotlight back into soccer, into football again in
- 10:51Speaker 2: the US, and of course you would hope that the
- 10:54Speaker 2: new players will emerge, but I know there are systemic
- 10:57Speaker 2: and organic issues with that. It's not an easy sport
- 11:00Speaker 2: to break into for youngster in the US, So again,
- 11:03Speaker 2: maybe the issue is wider than US one Belgium four.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I think that the issue for Americans, and I feel
- 11:12Speaker 3: comfortable saying this isn't that they lost, because if you.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Watch soccer, you know that Belgium had the better team.
- 11:18Speaker 4: It was hell they lost. It's that they got bullied
- 11:20Speaker 4: off the ball.
- 11:20Speaker 3: It's that our star Christian Polisic didn't care and wanted to,
- 11:25Speaker 3: you know, rest after the game. And they deserved every
- 11:28Speaker 3: piece of criticism that they got. I'm sure you saw
- 11:30Speaker 3: Carly Lloyd saying you rest when your career is over.
- 11:32Speaker 3: And the thing is is that they are ten times
- 11:35Speaker 3: more talented than the teams with Clint Dempsey, Lyndon Donovan
- 11:38Speaker 3: and Tim Howard. But those teams were relentless, they were gutless,
- 11:41Speaker 3: and they never would have been bullied off the ball
- 11:43Speaker 3: in the same way.
- 11:44Speaker 4: And I think that's where Americans are freaking out.
- 11:47Speaker 2: No, I agree with you, girl. I think the way
- 11:50Speaker 2: they lost, they didn't lay a globe on Belgium, and
- 11:54Speaker 2: you know, all the shenanigans before with ballagoon suspension rescinded
- 11:59Speaker 2: really did not help them in a way. I think
- 12:01Speaker 2: he put a necessary pressure on the manager and necessary
- 12:05Speaker 2: pressure on the player. Balagun himself, who has been at
- 12:09Speaker 2: the center of a worldwide polemics, and he didn't need it.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It's been, it's been. It's been probably the best player
- 12:14Speaker 2: for the US at this tournament, and it comes off
- 12:16Speaker 2: a very good career. And I think he's a good striker.
- 12:19Speaker 2: It's not a top striker, but he's a good striker
- 12:21Speaker 2: in Europe and he's proving it. Of course, had the
- 12:24Speaker 2: US won the knockout game against Belgium, the polemics would
- 12:28Speaker 2: have been infinite. So in a way, Belgium's win has
- 12:33Speaker 2: put a little bit of water over the fire. It's
- 12:35Speaker 2: a little bit like a fire blanket.
- 12:37Speaker 1: If you like.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But of course the sporting outcome is not what the
- 12:41Speaker 2: Americans wanted, not what they needed. So yeah, more improvements
- 12:46Speaker 2: and more, more, more, more, more development is needed.
- 12:50Speaker 1: We're going to get into the eight teams that are left.
- 12:54Speaker 1: That's where we'll spend most of our time. But to
- 12:56Speaker 1: put a final ball on the teams that have been
- 12:58Speaker 1: eliminated the US, maybe our perception right now a bit
- 13:01Speaker 1: on the negative side. What about the other end of
- 13:04Speaker 1: the spectrum, A team, a country that is no longer
- 13:07Speaker 1: in the World Cup right now that you came away
- 13:10Speaker 1: extremely impressed with.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Well, I think all the A teams that are in
- 13:15Speaker 2: the quarterfinals, truly dise have to be in the quarter finals.
- 13:19Speaker 2: So there isn't one that I think, ah, shame we're
- 13:22Speaker 2: missing out on such a great team the ones or
- 13:25Speaker 2: that they dese have to be there. I was expecting
- 13:28Speaker 2: more from Japan in a way, and I think they
- 13:31Speaker 2: showed us they can really play to to two against
- 13:34Speaker 2: some of the top nations. I like that to to
- 13:37Speaker 2: draw against the Netherlands. They impose themselves and the first
- 13:40Speaker 2: half against Brazil was extremely good. They dominated. Unfortunately then
- 13:44Speaker 2: they retracted and they did something that basically they're not
- 13:47Speaker 2: used to do, which is defending. They never defended. The
- 13:50Speaker 2: Japanese are not known for Brazilian defending and they haven't
- 13:53Speaker 2: got in them.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So that's one.
- 13:56Speaker 2: And the African teams overall, apart from Morocco which we're
- 13:59Speaker 2: watching tonight against France, yes, nine out of ten came
- 14:02Speaker 2: through the groups, but then only one came through the
- 14:06Speaker 2: round of sixteen. And again I think teams like Senegal
- 14:11Speaker 2: Ivory Coast they need to be smarter in the way
- 14:16Speaker 2: they manage games when they are on top and the
- 14:18Speaker 2: way they defend, and I think they've let themselves down
- 14:21Speaker 2: a little bit. I had more hopes also for Algeria
- 14:24Speaker 2: as well. They looked quite naive at times. So yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 2: generally speaking, I think the teams that we got in
- 14:30Speaker 2: the in the top eight are the best teams of
- 14:33Speaker 2: the tournament, so it should be it should be a
- 14:35Speaker 2: great spectacle for sure.
- 14:36Speaker 3: I think in Bird was obviously everyone's kind of sweetheart
- 14:40Speaker 3: of the tournament, most impressed by them. But I want
- 14:43Speaker 3: to talk about the teams you were leased impressed by.
- 14:46Speaker 3: For me, I think the obvious answer has to be
- 14:48Speaker 3: Germany or the Netherlands. Would you agree with that or
- 14:50Speaker 3: is there somebody else that sticks to you? Because I've
- 14:53Speaker 3: on another show that I do have been talking about
- 14:55Speaker 3: for probably the last, you know, almost decade and a half.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Those two teams feel like they have consistently underperformed with
- 15:02Speaker 3: the squads that they've had, especially the Netherlands when they
- 15:05Speaker 3: had Iron Robin and Van Percy, and they just both
- 15:07Speaker 3: continue to disappoint.
- 15:09Speaker 4: I can't really say that about England.
- 15:10Speaker 3: I would say that they'd be in that conversation, But
- 15:12Speaker 3: this tournament in general, is there anyone that really disappointed you.
- 15:15Speaker 2: The Netherlands disappointing me because in the game against Morocco
- 15:19Speaker 2: they did something that they're not used to, surrendering possession
- 15:23Speaker 2: and the Dutch football since the seventies has always been dominating,
- 15:27Speaker 2: controlling the ball. Then of a sudden, Ronald Cooman felt
- 15:32Speaker 2: a bit of each felt fed the fear, and they
- 15:34Speaker 2: led the ball to Morocco and eventually lost on penalties,
- 15:38Speaker 2: which is bad luck, but I think you do make
- 15:40Speaker 2: your own luck. So they were disappointing in that sense.
- 15:44Speaker 2: With Germany, simple they didn't have the team spirit, they
- 15:48Speaker 2: didn't have the drive that is required from them, and
- 15:51Speaker 2: this is a history of many, many disappointments, which led
- 15:54Speaker 2: of course them to the sacking of Julius nagless Man.
- 15:57Speaker 2: So yeah, those were disappointing. But the final out is
- 16:00Speaker 2: for Brazil. We didn't we didn't, we knew this was
- 16:03Speaker 2: one of the worst Brazil ever of the last twenty
- 16:06Speaker 2: twenty five years. But yeah, the way they lost to
- 16:10Speaker 2: Norway again in the second half. Tactically, I feel Ancelotti
- 16:15Speaker 2: made some bad calls when he put namar on. He
- 16:17Speaker 2: deprived Brazil of the of a presence upfront. Neymar plays
- 16:22Speaker 2: like a former player is a former player. It can
- 16:25Speaker 2: only be stick up top. And then we've been issues
- 16:27Speaker 2: and an eric on the flanks. They left themselves too
- 16:31Speaker 2: exposed really to Norway's counter and surrendered to goals. But
- 16:35Speaker 2: again they missed chances to so I think that Brazil
- 16:38Speaker 2: led us down in the in the game better Brazil,
- 16:41Speaker 2: I think they would have taken at least the tie
- 16:43Speaker 2: to extra time and then you know, could have been
- 16:45Speaker 2: decided one way or the other.
- 16:47Speaker 3: It's a good answer. Okay, let's talk about these matches
- 16:49Speaker 3: that we have coming up. Who do you think has
- 16:52Speaker 3: the highest expectations on them? I would say, personally probably England.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I think they have the best roster in the tournament.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Their bench is better than a lot of some of
- 17:01Speaker 3: the entire squads in this tournament. But for some reason,
- 17:03Speaker 3: too many superstars can't figure it out. Easy to say Argentina.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Easy to say France. Who has the highest expectations heading
- 17:10Speaker 3: into this round.
- 17:11Speaker 2: As the tournament has gone so our canra The expectations
- 17:15Speaker 2: are on France because France are considered the team to beat,
- 17:18Speaker 2: and because they've shown consistently that they can play the
- 17:22Speaker 2: better football at this word cup. Now, international football is
- 17:26Speaker 2: very different from club football. In club football, the teams
- 17:29Speaker 2: have got much more time only to be bad in
- 17:33Speaker 2: they are much more sophisticated tactically because obviously they can
- 17:37Speaker 2: work together longer. Here, teams have got few ideas and
- 17:41Speaker 2: they need to implement them in order for them to
- 17:43Speaker 2: plan to work. And now France idea is about attack, explosiveness,
- 17:48Speaker 2: attacking the space, interchangeability or easier number ten, racking up
- 17:53Speaker 2: the goals. Some players like Due Barcola, Marcus tram we
- 17:58Speaker 2: haven't really appreciated yet because they haven't had a chance.
- 18:01Speaker 2: So there's so much talent up there. But of course
- 18:04Speaker 2: France can be the worst enemy because the pressure is
- 18:07Speaker 2: on them and they will be tested against. Morocco are
- 18:11Speaker 2: a team that are extremely hard to beat. Now, I
- 18:14Speaker 2: think that the way they beat Paraguay has done France
- 18:18Speaker 2: a lot of good because you need to come through
- 18:21Speaker 2: the scrap, you need to go through the grind.
- 18:24Speaker 4: In order to work up.
- 18:26Speaker 1: And that's a great game.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Guy is a great game to win without capitulating, without
- 18:32Speaker 2: giving up into the esterea. So France are ugly stronger
- 18:36Speaker 2: after that game and they have pressure coming back to England,
- 18:41Speaker 2: I think the pressure is slightly off considering the way
- 18:45Speaker 2: they've been playing so far, which has been disappointing in
- 18:48Speaker 2: a way. You would have expected England to be able
- 18:51Speaker 2: to impose themselves much more in other teams. Instead, they
- 18:54Speaker 2: are very clinical, they play on the counter. They're very
- 18:58Speaker 2: happy to leave the ball to the other and hit
- 19:00Speaker 2: them on the counter because that's the Premier League style.
- 19:03Speaker 2: That's how Premier League teams do win most of the
- 19:06Speaker 2: games really, So coming into these quarterfinals, I would say
- 19:09Speaker 2: it's still a lot of pressure in France as well
- 19:12Speaker 2: in Spain because they're huge favorites. This is a team
- 19:14Speaker 2: in Belgium that they would be expected to beat any
- 19:17Speaker 2: day of the week really, and then when it comes
- 19:19Speaker 2: of course England Norway is much more balanced and Argentina.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I know we're going to talk about it later, but yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 2: they come through some rough times as well, I guess.
- 19:29Speaker 3: So let's talk about the money here, because that's the
- 19:31Speaker 3: reason that we are all gathered here today. Dam Ballet
- 19:35Speaker 3: I believe is leading friends and goals right now. He's
- 19:37Speaker 3: plus one seventy five to score in today's game and
- 19:40Speaker 3: Bobby minus one twenty. I kind of like the den
- 19:43Speaker 3: Ballet number there.
- 19:44Speaker 4: What do you think it's due?
- 19:46Speaker 2: I mean he's he's scored four and tricky, I guess
- 19:52Speaker 2: Norway against a second string Norway. Look, he's a player
- 19:55Speaker 2: that perhaps hasn't yet exploded for France at this tournament.
- 20:00Speaker 2: But it's extremely functional because most of the times he
- 20:03Speaker 2: does unselfish runs which draw players and liberate space for
- 20:07Speaker 2: both Alisa and Buppe. But he's a great finisher. All
- 20:11Speaker 2: the three finishes against Norway, they carry a very low
- 20:15Speaker 2: expected goals value, so he can find the goals from
- 20:17Speaker 2: many sort of positions. And yeah, it can be of
- 20:21Speaker 2: course a threat on the counter as well. France are
- 20:24Speaker 2: gonna have chances, of course. I think the Bell is
- 20:28Speaker 2: one of the less selfish strikers in that in the
- 20:32Speaker 2: France attack, is very happy to do some of the
- 20:35Speaker 2: dirty work. Is also very happy to track back to
- 20:38Speaker 2: allow to allow Alisa and to stay a little bit
- 20:42Speaker 2: more upfront. So maybe that could diminish his tread upfront.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But you know, yeah, I mean we're talking about a
- 20:48Speaker 2: guy that used to score goals domestically internationally, so yeah,
- 20:53Speaker 2: the price that we're looking at is certainly much more
- 20:55Speaker 2: appealing than Kill and Embappe. After all, I mean, all
- 21:00Speaker 2: good s tricks come to an end, so you would
- 21:02Speaker 2: probably better served by betting on the reigning ballon d'Or
- 21:07Speaker 2: for a reason twice a Champions League winner with Champions
- 21:11Speaker 2: with wesg for a reason to score a goal against
- 21:14Speaker 2: the Morocco. But as we said before, I think tonight
- 21:17Speaker 2: is going to be tight. Morocco can do to France
- 21:20Speaker 2: what Paraguay did to them better because they go better
- 21:24Speaker 2: outlets upfront, They got players who can bring the ball forward.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Then they don't have just to do the dirty job,
- 21:30Speaker 2: and Morocco can do the dirty job hundred percent, but
- 21:34Speaker 2: technically there much better. I think tonight it's very tight.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Very I don't know if this is a strategy that
- 21:41Speaker 1: I would employ, but I know a lot of folks
- 21:43Speaker 1: out there are going to want to do this, so
- 21:45Speaker 1: I want to get your thoughts on it. A lot
- 21:47Speaker 1: of heavy favorites in the quarterfinals. The shortest favorite is
- 21:50Speaker 1: minus two twenty five with England, of course, using the
- 21:54Speaker 1: odds over at draft Kings. I know there will be
- 21:56Speaker 1: folks that want to do this. The four favorites parlay
- 22:00Speaker 1: to advance. Would you advise for it or against it.
- 22:04Speaker 1: By the way, the number on that all the favorites
- 22:06Speaker 1: to advance to the next round plus two sixteen.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I don't know if life would be so simple, I'll
- 22:13Speaker 2: be boring, Yes, I'll be boring, but sometimes it's boring.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I don't know. I think there is there is a
- 22:21Speaker 2: risk that one of those four ties goes the distance,
- 22:26Speaker 2: goes to extra time, goes to penalties, and then you'll
- 22:29Speaker 2: be really risking all the wise very good partly on
- 22:34Speaker 2: a tie. They might not be decided in nineteen minutes,
- 22:37Speaker 2: so yeah, maybe in ninety minutes potentially, because there is
- 22:40Speaker 2: the chance to go all the way, I would probably
- 22:43Speaker 2: advise against him. The one I most I've got most
- 22:46Speaker 2: doubt about it is Franz Morocco, surprisingly because a fine
- 22:50Speaker 2: Morocco can produce an upset, and of course Norway England,
- 22:55Speaker 2: because both teams go frailties at the back. They leave
- 22:59Speaker 2: themselfelf exposed quite a lot to Norway cannot really keep
- 23:03Speaker 2: a clean sheet or a shout out, whatever you want
- 23:05Speaker 2: to call it. They considered in nine or the last ten.
- 23:08Speaker 2: England don't dominate the ball as much as they want to,
- 23:11Speaker 2: and they do leave themselves exposed. So when you got
- 23:14Speaker 2: two teams that are so strong in attack but also
- 23:17Speaker 2: so porous at the back and with defensive prialities, the
- 23:20Speaker 2: outcome is very difficult to decide. And funny enough, with England,
- 23:24Speaker 2: if you look at the price, they are shorter now
- 23:27Speaker 2: than when they were when they play in Mexico at
- 23:29Speaker 2: the Azteca, which for me is a nonsense. Why would
- 23:32Speaker 2: they be shorter in a quarter final against Norway, who's
- 23:35Speaker 2: been one of the best European sides in the last
- 23:38Speaker 2: two years. I know very well because they knocked out Italy,
- 23:41Speaker 2: so believe me, they're not a fluke.
- 23:44Speaker 1: And why, I don't know.
- 23:46Speaker 2: How do you explain why are they short now then
- 23:49Speaker 2: when they play at the Azteca only because of the
- 23:51Speaker 2: Attega I don't know. I think that was another reaction
- 23:54Speaker 2: maybe from the book makers.
- 23:56Speaker 4: I agree.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I think Norway is probably the team for me that
- 23:58Speaker 3: I think can't take one of these favorites. And for me,
- 24:02Speaker 3: it's because England has so many stars. I think there's
- 24:06Speaker 3: a lot of divas, there's a lot of people who
- 24:07Speaker 3: want to be the hero. But for Norway, not only
- 24:10Speaker 3: do they have chemistry, they like each other and they're united,
- 24:13Speaker 3: but everybody has a role and they play that role.
- 24:15Speaker 3: They know who their star is and they let their
- 24:17Speaker 3: star be their star. How much do you think that
- 24:20Speaker 3: that could play into this game here? Just I think
- 24:22Speaker 3: that the corner cat, they don't feel like cornered cats.
- 24:24Speaker 3: I think that's the difference with for Morocco. For me,
- 24:27Speaker 3: they know that they're expected to lose this game, so
- 24:29Speaker 3: they're allowed to play free and lose, play their game
- 24:31Speaker 3: and if.
- 24:31Speaker 4: They lose, that's the expectation. But with Norway, I don't
- 24:34Speaker 4: think they feel that way. They feel united, they have
- 24:37Speaker 4: a leader and they play through their leader. How do
- 24:39Speaker 4: you play into here?
- 24:41Speaker 2: Absolutely? I think they do feel they come a long way,
- 24:46Speaker 2: but Norway feels the batteries yet to come. I mean
- 24:49Speaker 2: they do feel there is still a lot of story
- 24:52Speaker 2: to write. And going back to Morocco, w as they
- 24:54Speaker 2: might be the underdog people in Morocco, I don't think
- 24:57Speaker 2: they feel they are there for the take in Morocco
- 25:01Speaker 2: has evolved a lot in the last four years and
- 25:03Speaker 2: they got the World Cup at home to come, so yes,
- 25:06Speaker 2: of course against France the underdog, but I mean they
- 25:10Speaker 2: feel they can go to tour with them going back
- 25:13Speaker 2: to Norway, look, most of the threat is Ireland. If
- 25:17Speaker 2: you norllify Island, Norway doesn't win. The stats are very
- 25:22Speaker 2: very clear. Every time the Halland score they win ninety
- 25:26Speaker 2: percent of the games. When he doesn't score, they don't win.
- 25:29Speaker 2: But it's easily said than done neulyfying Island, especially because
- 25:33Speaker 2: he's gonna play against the two fellow teammates Marc Gay
- 25:37Speaker 2: and Johnstones, which he knows very well from Manchester City,
- 25:40Speaker 2: so they know all about each other. And yeah, as
- 25:43Speaker 2: I said, against a backline of England that does concede chances.
- 25:46Speaker 2: But the nice things about Norway is that, apart from
- 25:51Speaker 2: Holland and all the guard, none of the players about
- 25:54Speaker 2: the stellar season domestically, apart from the good plays for us.
- 25:59Speaker 4: You think season, I don't know, it's down out guard.
- 26:03Speaker 4: I thought he had a down season for.
- 26:04Speaker 2: What his for a he's a Premier League winner, so
- 26:07Speaker 2: I would put it down as a good season. It's
- 26:10Speaker 2: been injured a lot, but it's true it has been
- 26:12Speaker 2: injured a lot, but in the key moment for Arsenal,
- 26:15Speaker 2: he was there. So if you take away those two,
- 26:18Speaker 2: the other players haven't a great season yet when they
- 26:22Speaker 2: come with the national team. As you mentioned, they all
- 26:25Speaker 2: have a role, they all know what to do and
- 26:27Speaker 2: they are a very very cohesive unit which implements the
- 26:31Speaker 2: game plan extremely well. I expect Norway against England to
- 26:36Speaker 2: avoid the mistakes that they did against Brazil. They had
- 26:39Speaker 2: the ball a lot, They dominated the possession a lot,
- 26:42Speaker 2: which I think, in a way kind of rewrote the
- 26:45Speaker 2: story of football twenty five years ago. If you're old
- 26:48Speaker 2: enough to remember, you would have never thought Norway going
- 26:51Speaker 2: to have the ball more than Brazil, would you. I
- 26:53Speaker 2: don't remember watching Norway Brazil at World Cup nineteen ninety eight.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I was a teenager and Brazil dominated. Now twenty five
- 27:01Speaker 2: years song is completely different. But however, when they had
- 27:04Speaker 2: the ball, they left themselves exposed to the counter because
- 27:07Speaker 2: they didn't have a lot of end product. Then in
- 27:08Speaker 2: the second half they put on Oscar Bob and Sideloup
- 27:11Speaker 2: on the wings that they leave across from Aland and
- 27:14Speaker 2: they were much more threatening. And I think that's what
- 27:16Speaker 2: they're going to try to do with England. Perhaps trying
- 27:18Speaker 2: to leave the ball to England for them to come
- 27:21Speaker 2: out is a fascinating game. It could be a high
- 27:24Speaker 2: tempo game. Therefore, you know, mistakes might happen from each side,
- 27:30Speaker 2: therefore it could be a high scoring one as well.
- 27:33Speaker 1: You already know one of the more popular bets out
- 27:36Speaker 1: there is going to be earlying Howland to score goal
- 27:38Speaker 1: plus one ten over on DraftKings for that. Belgium was
- 27:42Speaker 1: clearly motivated by the controversial overturned red card for Balligan.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Whether that's why they beat the United States is a
- 27:49Speaker 1: different debate, but they were obviously motivated by it. But
- 27:53Speaker 1: do you see Belgium as a team that's now dangerous
- 27:57Speaker 1: that maybe they have awoken themselves and are realizing their
- 28:00Speaker 1: potential or was that was just a Was it a
- 28:04Speaker 1: properly motivated team given the circumstances. What kind of shot
- 28:08Speaker 1: do you give for them against Spain, who tend to
- 28:12Speaker 1: want to suffocate their opponents.
- 28:14Speaker 2: They were very underwhelming until they played the US. They
- 28:17Speaker 2: were one of the worst European sides in the competition,
- 28:20Speaker 2: so really the bar wasn't really high. But they lift
- 28:23Speaker 2: themselves and they did well against the US and now
- 28:27Speaker 2: they don't have any pressure whatsoever. Nobody expects Belgium to qualify.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Nobody expects anything from Belgium apart from getting beaten and
- 28:36Speaker 2: I mean that it's a really really important factor for them.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Belgium for years has been the underperformers, the underachievers of Europe,
- 28:45Speaker 2: that so called Golden Generation. Now for once they don't
- 28:49Speaker 2: have the pressure on them. However, they do play a
- 28:51Speaker 2: Spain side wasn't considered a single goal in the tournament
- 28:54Speaker 2: so far. That keeps the ball extremely well and in
- 28:59Speaker 2: order to be it's Spain, you need to withstand pressure
- 29:02Speaker 2: for thirty forty minutes during the game. You need to
- 29:04Speaker 2: be strong defensively. These Belgium side are not strong defensively
- 29:08Speaker 2: and they're gonna miss one of the most important midfielders,
- 29:11Speaker 2: Amadu Nana, who is extremely physical and Robtorys Ruptury is
- 29:16Speaker 2: acl But you know, give a bit of credit to
- 29:19Speaker 2: Belgium manager Rudy Garcia for changing information during the World Cup.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Not many managers do it and he has left the
- 29:25Speaker 2: browing out dog out. He understands look up with much
- 29:29Speaker 2: more effective coming from the bench. So this is credit
- 29:32Speaker 2: to him for rejigging it. However, when it comes to
- 29:34Speaker 2: the clash with Spain, can they score Belgium, I think
- 29:38Speaker 2: they can because I don't think anyone can go so
- 29:41Speaker 2: long without conceding a goal. I think, yeah, the statistic
- 29:45Speaker 2: from Spain are a little bit deceptive, but equally I
- 29:49Speaker 2: think they will concede a couple against the Spain team
- 29:51Speaker 2: that yeah, utterly dominates, and we still haven't seen probably
- 29:54Speaker 2: the best from Leminamal and other Spain players, but so
- 29:58Speaker 2: far they didn't need it.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I am intrigued by the total there, the under two
- 30:03Speaker 1: and a half plus one oh five. Three of the
- 30:05Speaker 1: five matches Spain has been a part of, they've totaled
- 30:08Speaker 1: one goal or less in in total, not just in
- 30:12Speaker 1: terms of what they've been giving up, which as you mentioned,
- 30:14Speaker 1: has been quite impressive. Is the under two and a
- 30:17Speaker 1: half a good look here? Or do you like Belgium's
- 30:20Speaker 1: chances to score a little bit too much to take
- 30:22Speaker 1: the dive on that?
- 30:24Speaker 2: No? I like the both to score here. If I
- 30:26Speaker 2: have to to take a better like the boat to
- 30:28Speaker 2: score or Spain to score at least a couple of goals,
- 30:31Speaker 2: as I said, and they are far too good for
- 30:34Speaker 2: this Belgium defense not to score a couple of goals
- 30:37Speaker 2: and Belgium could be could hurt them, could hurt them.
- 30:41Speaker 2: But yeah, in a high scoring game, Spain wins nine
- 30:46Speaker 2: out of ten times.
- 30:48Speaker 4: What do you think about the bench management here?
- 30:50Speaker 3: Obviously it's going to be a game field, game time decision,
- 30:52Speaker 3: but having Lukaku Kadieb off the bench, what are you
- 30:56Speaker 3: expecting lineup wise from them and how could that affect
- 31:00Speaker 3: the total?
- 31:01Speaker 2: I would expect Look to start on the bench to
- 31:03Speaker 2: Belgium for goal, will look a Baccuo who's much better
- 31:08Speaker 2: a stretching, defensing and running behind. So if they're playing
- 31:11Speaker 2: on the counter, it's better to have Look a Baque there.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Doku is an interesting one because he hasn't played recently.
- 31:19Speaker 2: By is the outlet again on the right hand side
- 31:23Speaker 2: or in the left hand side That can provide them
- 31:25Speaker 2: with a bit more pace. But I would expect Kevin
- 31:27Speaker 2: de Bruyne to be on the bench as well. Belgium
- 31:31Speaker 2: are not gonna have the ball here. Kevin de brune
- 31:34Speaker 2: is better suited when the temple goes down in the
- 31:37Speaker 2: second half. If the game goes the distance, then his
- 31:40Speaker 2: experience can be important. But yes, it will be interesting
- 31:43Speaker 2: to see who replaces on Anna, but I don't think
- 31:45Speaker 2: it's gonna be Kevin. The Bruner, Ruskin and Tilemans will
- 31:48Speaker 2: play the Bruyn on the bench. Lookau in the second
- 31:52Speaker 2: half can give Spain defense, the likes of kubar Ce,
- 31:56Speaker 2: the likes of La Porte. Really something to think about
- 31:59Speaker 2: is physically, but yeah, from the beginning, now I wants it.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Let's talk about the hottest of the entire tournament and
- 32:07Speaker 3: is it fixed for Argentina.
- 32:10Speaker 4: I am in the camp of yes. Do you think
- 32:13Speaker 4: the almost I don't want to.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Say lock because that feels journey to say on a
- 32:18Speaker 3: podcast like ours. Do you think that they're guaranteed to
- 32:22Speaker 3: move on here because they are a cash cow?
- 32:25Speaker 2: But I mean the strong favorites to move on because
- 32:28Speaker 2: they play a team that is rund nineteen in the
- 32:30Speaker 2: world in Switzerland and they are dead. Yeah, they look
- 32:34Speaker 2: beautible and they don't unless unless again completely turning around.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I mean, look, I'm waiting to see whether switzerland best
- 32:41Speaker 2: player Jonathan Matzambi's fit to play. They look a bit
- 32:44Speaker 2: different outlet with him on the pitch, but without him
- 32:47Speaker 2: against Colombia they look fairly toothless. But credit to them
- 32:50Speaker 2: for sticking to a good game plan and taking the
- 32:52Speaker 2: game to penalty. Going back to Argentina, yes, I mean
- 32:55Speaker 2: they're a very very easy route into these quarter finals,
- 32:58Speaker 2: so they play very modest teams. I've seen the average
- 33:02Speaker 2: FIFA ranking of their opponents was twenty eight so far,
- 33:06Speaker 2: so really very simple for them. But they gave themselves
- 33:09Speaker 2: a scare against Capo Verdi against Egypt. However, against Egypt,
- 33:14Speaker 2: when the game was too nil, I never had the
- 33:17Speaker 2: feeling they were gonna go out after ninety minutes. I
- 33:20Speaker 2: always felt they had something in them. They do have
- 33:23Speaker 2: something in them. Look, if this was a league, if
- 33:27Speaker 2: the World Cup was a league, a thirty eight games league,
- 33:30Speaker 2: I wouldn't put Argentina in the top three because I
- 33:33Speaker 2: don't think they got the consistenty to win a league,
- 33:37Speaker 2: if you know what I mean. But because it's only
- 33:39Speaker 2: a month and now we only got three games left,
- 33:43Speaker 2: and they got that coasiveness, they got that team spirit,
- 33:46Speaker 2: they got that belief, that momentum they can beat anyone.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Of course, they need to play better than they did
- 33:52Speaker 2: against against Cabo Verdi and against Egypt, but they did
- 33:57Speaker 2: do look inspired. And yes they have many flows. They
- 34:02Speaker 2: don't have a lot of pays upfront. The strikers don't
- 34:05Speaker 2: score bar messy, they don't even take shots, bar messy.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Messy capitalizes everything. But they play for them and they
- 34:13Speaker 2: are just in a way that they make the most
- 34:16Speaker 2: or the most talented player that there is a tournament.
- 34:19Speaker 2: So if there is a ball, he want to fall
- 34:21Speaker 2: into message fit because it's probably going to give you
- 34:23Speaker 2: an assist or it's going to convert. I don't make
- 34:27Speaker 2: them favorites to win the tournament, and don't think it's
- 34:30Speaker 2: rigged in the favor The referee took some dubious decisions,
- 34:35Speaker 2: let's put it this way, but Francois Lexitier is one
- 34:39Speaker 2: of the best referees in Europe. So the problem is
- 34:42Speaker 2: that there are some inconsistencies with br and we could
- 34:45Speaker 2: talk about this for hours and hours and hours. I
- 34:48Speaker 2: make them favorites against Switzerland, for sure, Switzerland are look
- 34:53Speaker 2: a bit flat unless unless the I mean the main
- 34:56Speaker 2: man is back to go to advance and to win
- 34:59Speaker 2: the Work Cup. No, I don't. I don't make them feel.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Messy goal a game. What are your thoughts on the
- 35:06Speaker 4: Golden Boot race right now?
- 35:09Speaker 2: They keep delivering. They keep delivering, so it's about to
- 35:13Speaker 2: get knocked out first with them, Pappa with Cane, with
- 35:16Speaker 2: Alan with Messy. I mean it's a it's on a
- 35:20Speaker 2: knife edge. Really, I don't think no one else is
- 35:21Speaker 2: gonna He's gonna win it. Caine has been impressive also
- 35:28Speaker 2: for the way he has played for his teammates and
- 35:31Speaker 2: for the way he stepped up in crucial moments. Messy
- 35:35Speaker 2: is the centerpiece of Argentina. Everyone revolves around him. For Alan,
- 35:40Speaker 2: the same could be said, and of course is A
- 35:44Speaker 2: is extremely motivated for it just seems mature is taken
- 35:49Speaker 2: one more step towards maturity again a leader. I really
- 35:52Speaker 2: like the way he reacted and interacted against Paraguay. He
- 35:57Speaker 2: didn't drag let himself drag in to the polemics, into
- 36:01Speaker 2: the shine against so everyone. I got the strengths, the fortitude,
- 36:05Speaker 2: But you know, on it's on a knife edge. I
- 36:08Speaker 2: think one of these four teams is gonna get knocked out.
- 36:10Speaker 2: But one for sure, either England or Noway's gonna get
- 36:13Speaker 2: knocked out. So we can only we will be left
- 36:16Speaker 2: with three or two. So it depends if you believe
- 36:20Speaker 2: Morocco can cause an upset, then it's between Messy and
- 36:24Speaker 2: Kine or aland that that's that's how I'm sitting on
- 36:28Speaker 2: a very high fence, you know. But that's the most
- 36:31Speaker 2: difficult one to say.
- 36:32Speaker 1: You got the world's best talent to choose from, so
- 36:35Speaker 1: I can understand that.
- 36:38Speaker 2: It is difficult. They all take penalties for their team
- 36:42Speaker 2: maybe odd text and for Norway Massy miss is a
- 36:45Speaker 2: few penalties to Caine missus penalties at some times. So
- 36:50Speaker 2: I mean they do have the flows. They're not perfect,
- 36:53Speaker 2: but we're looking at seven goals scored in one in
- 36:56Speaker 2: five games. This is so far the highest scoring World
- 37:00Speaker 2: Cup since nineteen seventy, with an average of two point
- 37:04Speaker 2: ninety six goals per game. So the goals are gonna come.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna continue. I cannot really see any games finishing
- 37:11Speaker 2: Neil Neil, hence the bet on a top goal scorer
- 37:14Speaker 2: Golden boot. It's very, very difficult.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Do you think that that says more about the talent
- 37:22Speaker 3: of striker that's being produced right now or we're the
- 37:25Speaker 3: state of goalkeeping and.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Defense as well. In the world these days, there are
- 37:34Speaker 2: very very few top class defenders and because defending has changed,
- 37:40Speaker 2: defenders from twenty five years ago were just defenders, what
- 37:45Speaker 2: to my mark, where to win headers, cleared the ball.
- 37:48Speaker 2: In the last few years we've seen defenders ask to
- 37:51Speaker 2: bring the ball forward to also become playmakers, to be
- 37:54Speaker 2: good with the fits. The full backs are no longer
- 37:57Speaker 2: full backs, they are wingers really, so everything has changed.
- 38:01Speaker 2: So when is down to one on one duels, if
- 38:04Speaker 2: the defenders wins eight out of ten duels, that's fine.
- 38:08Speaker 2: But if he loses those two duals, those are two
- 38:10Speaker 2: goals that these teams might concede. So even brilliant defenders
- 38:14Speaker 2: you've seen, you know, Markinos, Gabrielle Magayanz from Brazil, they
- 38:19Speaker 2: lost the duel against Alin and unscored. So it's the
- 38:22Speaker 2: way football as a bold. But these strikers are of
- 38:25Speaker 2: course favored because of the pace the game is played,
- 38:29Speaker 2: because a lot of teams play from the back, so
- 38:31Speaker 2: they can make mistake as well because of the team
- 38:34Speaker 2: presses as well. Goalkeepers wise, we have seen excellent goalkeeping,
- 38:38Speaker 2: especially from African teams from Kurasao.
- 38:42Speaker 4: The entire tournament has been wonderful for.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Keepers exactly exactly, but I mean, and that's been great.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I mean, it still remains much more difficult to stick
- 38:52Speaker 2: the ball in the back of the net then keeping
- 38:55Speaker 2: it out, for sure, but the level of defending, the
- 38:59Speaker 2: level of acts and how we change obviously favors goals
- 39:03Speaker 2: and teams who play on the front foot.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Well, I think some of that's going to play out
- 39:07Speaker 1: in our bets here. We are going to get to
- 39:10Speaker 1: our plant the flag segment right now, presented by draft Kings.
- 39:14Speaker 1: The crown is yours might shut up, I'm trying to
- 39:18Speaker 1: plant my flag here. Okay, you're really planning your flag
- 39:21Speaker 1: and that text a quarter final bet in the World Cup.
- 39:24Speaker 1: And Daniela, since we've got you here, we will start
- 39:27Speaker 1: with you. What do you have for me?
- 39:30Speaker 2: It's not in England. Both team to score. Yes, the
- 39:33Speaker 2: price might not be huge, but I think this is
- 39:36Speaker 2: probably the most likely outcome between two teams that are
- 39:40Speaker 2: explosive going forward. England got plenty of options, but so
- 39:44Speaker 2: do I have Norway, who can also rely on the
- 39:47Speaker 2: likes of sword Lot coming on the second half. Antonio Nouza,
- 39:51Speaker 2: good winger, played for Live six, so they do have
- 39:54Speaker 2: of course apart from Holland, but they have got flows
- 39:57Speaker 2: in defense. No, none of these two teams can come
- 40:00Speaker 2: all the games as much as they want to. England
- 40:02Speaker 2: might have issues a right buck still with Riz James
- 40:05Speaker 2: slightly unfit a center box two and Norway let's not
- 40:09Speaker 2: forget they were saved by Oira and Nyland in the
- 40:12Speaker 2: game against Brazil. They haven't kept only one clean sheet
- 40:15Speaker 2: in the last ten. They are a Porus team. It
- 40:18Speaker 2: could be a one to one. I mean one one
- 40:20Speaker 2: is a cagey game, but both team to score probably
- 40:23Speaker 2: is the most likely outcome.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Well, I like that quite a bit because I am
- 40:28Speaker 1: on a similar type of bet. I'm gonna take over
- 40:31Speaker 1: two and a half goals in Norway and England. Defense
- 40:34Speaker 1: appears to be the Achilles Heel for Norway and that
- 40:37Speaker 1: does not bode well for a team going up against
- 40:39Speaker 1: the likes of Harry, Kane and Kendra. At the moment
- 40:43Speaker 1: will tell us how good Holland has been getting the
- 40:46Speaker 1: ball in the back of the net. You gotta lay
- 40:47Speaker 1: a minus one thirty, but I'd be shocked if we
- 40:49Speaker 1: don't get at least three goals in this matchup. So
- 40:53Speaker 1: we are cooking up quite the same game. Partly Parlay,
- 40:56Speaker 1: by the way, which was accidental by Kendre go ahead
- 41:00Speaker 1: up put the icing on the cake for us.
- 41:01Speaker 3: I know everybody's high on Holland right now, but it
- 41:04Speaker 3: goes back to my assessment that this team runs through
- 41:07Speaker 3: him and if they score, it's going to be him,
- 41:11Speaker 3: and he just has a nose for the ball. It's incredible.
- 41:15Speaker 3: It's not just that he scores, it's how he scores
- 41:17Speaker 3: at times. So I think that if Norway is going
- 41:20Speaker 3: to put the ball in the back of the net,
- 41:21Speaker 3: He's the answer and the only answer. And I'm getting
- 41:23Speaker 3: positive money on it, so I'm going to take it.
- 41:25Speaker 1: I am a little surprised by that. But if you
- 41:27Speaker 1: slam these three together, a nice correlated parlay both teams
- 41:31Speaker 1: to score over two and a half goals in the
- 41:34Speaker 1: match and Holland to be in any time goal scorer
- 41:37Speaker 1: plus two h four over on Draft Kings, The Crown
- 41:42Speaker 1: is yours, Daniella, thanks so much for the time. We
