- 0:00Speaker 1: On the LUNI is part of the Odd Pods media network.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Ah hey everybody.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Hi, hy hello, welcome you, Hi.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Happy spring here.
- 0:35Speaker 2: This will air later than that, but happy spring.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Wait a minute, do I detect a new voice on
- 0:41Speaker 1: the line.
- 0:42Speaker 2: It's a new lady.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Yeah, a new guest.
- 0:46Speaker 2: This is our friend Laura the librarian.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Babe.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Well, for about three hundred and thirteen more days because ring, but.
- 0:59Speaker 2: How many days before then? I got you there?
- 1:09Speaker 4: I'm looking forward.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I don't want to spoil anything for any of the
- 1:14Speaker 1: upcoming episodes that we might be uh watching today, but
- 1:20Speaker 1: there might be an opportunity for you all to do
- 1:22Speaker 1: math later. You're welcome, no, I know, Well then, I
- 1:28Speaker 1: guess I'm excited. I guess Aaron will get a point today.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I guess she's the math.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Now was that a previously?
- 1:41Speaker 1: But was that bitch hard tea or bitch bish? I
- 1:46Speaker 1: just want to be there.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Because I don't use your bullshit.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Oh excuse me, I've given you so much grace. With grace,
- 1:55Speaker 1: you will be using bish or else.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I was still in Christen yesterday.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I want to go to in your shops and find
- 2:01Speaker 2: little license plates. Let's say grace and start mailing them
- 2:03Speaker 2: to you to send you grace. She gave me this,
- 2:08Speaker 2: Lucky guys, I don't waste your postage.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Like this is how Abby. This is how Kristen feels
- 2:17Speaker 1: about leaning into talking to Abby. Is that like when
- 2:21Speaker 1: I give you like a tiny inch of like allowance
- 2:25Speaker 1: that grace isn't the stupidest way to say, like just
- 2:28Speaker 1: like be kind and like understand people's lives. And I'm like,
- 2:34Speaker 1: it's fine, I'll use it now. I love Dina that
- 2:36Speaker 1: much that I will get over my aversion to this phrase.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And then she's like, I'm gonna fucking send you a
- 2:42Speaker 1: license plate every day and ruin your life with your kindness.
- 2:46Speaker 2: No, it's because I found something that annoys you when
- 2:48Speaker 2: i'm the.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Grace.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I get that license you know.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Like little souvenir things with people's names on them, key chains,
- 2:59Speaker 2: license plates, ones, magnets. I always look to see if
- 3:04Speaker 2: they have Grace now, which.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Is funny because a lot of times they don't have
- 3:09Speaker 1: air and they have Erica, and I'm.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Like, I don't have Gina. Half the time, no one's
- 3:13Speaker 2: named Erica. They have Gianna.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I'm like, really, it's if they have my name spelt right, so.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I could imagine. I have a co worker whose
- 3:23Speaker 4: name is x C E N I A.
- 3:27Speaker 2: There's no ways to get one custom made?
- 3:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I tell her to take the Warner Brothers studio tour,
- 3:36Speaker 1: get a cup at Central Perk with their like ube latte,
- 3:40Speaker 1: but asked to sub about the ube. If you don't
- 3:42Speaker 1: like it, and then you get you can get your
- 3:44Speaker 1: name etched on the glass for free, which had they
- 3:49Speaker 1: planned for the thousands and thousands of fucking people at opening,
- 3:53Speaker 1: to my girls, I would have had time to do. Unfortunately,
- 3:57Speaker 1: since they were literally like shoving us out and like
- 4:01Speaker 1: making accommodations just so people got like their full merchant stuff.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I didn't get my cup engraved, but tell your friend
- 4:08Speaker 1: at work that if she goes and gets that cup,
- 4:11Speaker 1: they'll engrave it for free. It's it's one of those
- 4:14Speaker 1: little pedestal like glass coffee cups, real cute. Mine just
- 4:18Speaker 1: doesn't say my name.
- 4:20Speaker 2: But also your friend should go on the ET ride
- 4:22Speaker 2: because I would love to hear him try to pronounce me.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Thank.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Et could barely say erin dude, like.
- 4:34Speaker 3: What it's name?
- 4:37Speaker 2: You tell you, you tell the person you're going in,
- 4:40Speaker 2: and then they thank.
- 4:41Speaker 4: You that them it's not written anywhere, I.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Don't they they type it in and then he'd probably
- 4:49Speaker 1: just be like thank you.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Error.
- 4:51Speaker 1: One time I got erin, which I was like, that's
- 4:54Speaker 1: that's not real, but usually it was ear And.
- 4:59Speaker 4: The way she tells people prounced it is like see ya.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Seen ya, Okay, I'll be in yeah exactly.
- 5:07Speaker 4: I'll be seeing you later, yeah exactly. So she would,
- 5:11Speaker 4: you know, if they wrote it down phonetically figure it out.
- 5:14Speaker 1: She doesn't know yet, but your friend would hate me
- 5:18Speaker 1: if she knew me, because I would be like, okay,
- 5:21Speaker 1: but I'll be seeing you later peace Like. She would
- 5:25Speaker 1: be so sick of it. She'd be like, fuck this
- 5:30Speaker 1: bitch party thank you because she would be mad at me,
- 5:35Speaker 1: versus like Abby's a little bish all the time.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Well, trash punk rock dog. I love her.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I mean to ask you. I haven't heard anybody comment
- 5:46Speaker 4: on this yet, but I'm a couple of pisodes behind
- 5:49Speaker 4: tell us. Has anybody noticed the exclamation point in the door.
- 5:54Speaker 5: There?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Okay? When they're going to the front door, there's a
- 5:58Speaker 4: panel that's about head height. On the left side of
- 6:02Speaker 4: that panel in the woods, there's a gouge that is
- 6:04Speaker 4: an exclamation point. Oh right away, and now every time
- 6:09Speaker 4: they approached the door, I look.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Okay, I'm definitely looking, But you haven't noticed that I looked. Idea,
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'm sure people noticed it.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like I have seen it, but I
- 6:21Speaker 1: feel like I also was.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Like, oh, thank Laura.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's been I'm very detailed oriented. What can
- 6:30Speaker 4: I say interest you? I do what I do in
- 6:34Speaker 4: the library.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Well, you need to.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Tell us about your watching history. You said you watched
- 6:38Speaker 2: this first run.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yes, I've never watched it when it came on originally
- 6:44Speaker 4: because it started in September nineteen eighty five when I
- 6:47Speaker 4: was just starting my sophomore year of college and I
- 6:49Speaker 4: was busy drinking. Then cook it up. Oh she had
- 6:52Speaker 4: a life I did?
- 6:53Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, yes, I mean.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I had a lot of fun those first three year
- 7:00Speaker 4: years of college. I enjoyed myself. It was the early eighties.
- 7:04Speaker 4: We didn't know about AIDS yet, we didn't know.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Oh we'll get to that episode.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry, you're not here for that bummer episode.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I've heard so.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 4: It was still very very new, and I was in
- 7:17Speaker 4: a college in a small town in Texas. We didn't
- 7:21Speaker 4: get a lot of you know, stuff happening, and we didn't.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Have nothing to do with each other. Yeah, much so.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I met my husband at a drunken frat party in
- 7:32Speaker 4: April of nineteen eighty five. This happened. Now we were
- 7:36Speaker 4: not we were just hooking up. Back then he was
- 7:39Speaker 4: coming back forth. He was pledging a fraternity the way
- 7:42Speaker 4: my college did this. This was again nineteen eighty four
- 7:46Speaker 4: when the fraternity as soorty pledged. Thing happened. It was
- 7:49Speaker 4: one night and they called it midnight, and they threw
- 7:52Speaker 4: an open party. Anybody from the school could come. It
- 7:54Speaker 4: doesn't just the people in the fraternity's authorities, and the
- 7:57Speaker 4: people who were pledges were forced to kiss whomever the
- 8:02Speaker 4: other people, the active members of the sothorities and fraternities said.
- 8:07Speaker 4: So I knew a couple of guys in his fraternity.
- 8:11Speaker 4: They said, you kiss her, and we kissed it.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Like a pack or like a makeout.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Oh no, like a macout.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah, that.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Was the whole point of this night. Again nineteen eighty four.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Times have changed. Yes, it's really horrific to think about
- 8:27Speaker 4: now that you know it was anybody you could just
- 8:31Speaker 4: point at that girl or point at that guy. Kiss
- 8:33Speaker 4: him okay. Okay, yeah, con sense was not a thing
- 8:37Speaker 4: back then.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I don't know, when I was in my twenties, that
- 8:39Speaker 2: was kind of the thing. Whatever, he kiss.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Each other, if you'll kiss each other, okay. I had
- 8:45Speaker 1: a plate bracket my friend got me. This was my
- 8:52Speaker 1: gay but by curious like close friend that worked at
- 8:56Speaker 1: Disney with me, and we would like make out for fun,
- 9:00Speaker 1: but we would also walk around saying like want to
- 9:02Speaker 1: make out? No okay. And then he got me a
- 9:05Speaker 1: license plate bracket for my Volkswagen Beetle that I had
- 9:09Speaker 1: at the time that matched my car perfectly. It was
- 9:13Speaker 1: the perfect blue and it's I want to make out
- 9:16Speaker 1: no okay? And I was driving around town without on
- 9:19Speaker 1: my fucking car like that. I am into kissing and
- 9:22Speaker 1: like well into my like late thirties, even like every
- 9:26Speaker 1: time I go to Renfair, I would just like kiss
- 9:29Speaker 1: my way from the front to the back as I
- 9:31Speaker 1: ran into like all of my male friends that I
- 9:34Speaker 1: knew from Renfair, I have never met a kiss. I
- 9:37Speaker 1: didn't at least sort of like a little even if
- 9:40Speaker 1: my face and.
- 9:41Speaker 4: What I had one of those ones, It's like just dude, no,
- 9:47Speaker 4: that's not how I went yeah, yeah, you got to
- 9:53Speaker 4: catch them all and trate them up.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I didn't want to.
- 10:01Speaker 4: I wanted to ask you a book orse obviously as
- 10:04Speaker 4: a library, I look at the books. Have any of
- 10:07Speaker 4: you read Murder by Cheesecake, The Golden Girl's Mystery.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I have it. Aaron bought it for me, and I
- 10:13Speaker 3: have it sitting. I'm going to the beach at the
- 10:15Speaker 3: end of April and I'm gonna take it with me
- 10:17Speaker 3: to read.
- 10:18Speaker 4: I tried it. I could get chapter one.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I was like, oh, not written well or well good,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'm glad. I bought it twice then written I'm glad
- 10:29Speaker 1: I bought it for her and me.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Maybe you know, maybe you'll appreciate it more than me.
- 10:34Speaker 4: It's I just did not like the style.
- 10:37Speaker 2: So like Fifty Shades of Gray, Mad.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I never read.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I don't know I heard it was mad.
- 10:43Speaker 1: It's the fact that she fucking talks to herself so
- 10:46Speaker 1: much like fifty of the book is her like internal
- 10:49Speaker 1: monologue with herself, and I'm like, shut up and give
- 10:51Speaker 1: me more smart.
- 10:52Speaker 4: I don't want to, Yeah, I don't want to spoil it.
- 10:56Speaker 2: There's your audio.
- 10:59Speaker 4: That heard Jane Lynch reading Passengers from the Great ones,
- 11:03Speaker 4: and that was like the closest I've ever got great.
- 11:06Speaker 6: I heard Gilbert godfre reading it in one of the
- 11:13Speaker 6: books that I good book that I have about Golden
- 11:17Speaker 6: Girls is called The binge Watcher's Guide to the Golden Girls.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Have you on in the library on Hoopla so you
- 11:24Speaker 4: check your local library?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 11:27Speaker 4: A lot of little fun facts. And she said that
- 11:30Speaker 4: the Arthur did a reading of something from Pamela Anderson's
- 11:35Speaker 4: autobiography and which apparently was on YouTube somewhere, which I
- 11:41Speaker 4: have not had time to check, but Jesus, I want
- 11:43Speaker 4: to find that if I can find that later. It's
- 11:49Speaker 4: a It's an app where you can download books and.
- 11:53Speaker 3: TV showing your level.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Sign up to your local library. They probably have Hoopla.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Everybody does, Okay, somewhere nearby probably does.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I don't have a library card here, but I do
- 12:06Speaker 1: have a library card well because our library is kind
- 12:09Speaker 1: of shit, although I've found a better one so I
- 12:11Speaker 1: might go get one in person.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Bite me, you can't door dash the books to you.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I hope you both just ship your pants right now.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I hope you just fully evacuate your bowels because you're
- 12:26Speaker 1: mean rotten.
- 12:28Speaker 2: If she had those powers, Kristen terrifying.
- 12:31Speaker 1: If I had those powers, there would be so many
- 12:34Speaker 1: people that had, like, never recovered from shitting their pains. No,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you you pissed Aaron off would be the whatever tell
- 12:45Speaker 1: us about the episode?
- 12:46Speaker 2: Okay, were you all done?
- 12:48Speaker 1: Laura?
- 12:50Speaker 4: Well, there was one other book that I'd look at it. Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 4: Quit being an Idiot Life Lessons from the Golden World.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I think.
- 12:57Speaker 4: You said something about it that was cute. I mean, yeah,
- 13:05Speaker 4: that was in there two and me. All right, it
- 13:08Speaker 4: had some few stuff, but it wasn't is much more
- 13:12Speaker 4: in depth?
- 13:12Speaker 1: Have you read Have you read either of Betty's books?
- 13:18Speaker 4: No, I think there's more than two. I think she
- 13:21Speaker 4: had more than that. But I read the one about
- 13:24Speaker 4: the animals.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Oh sorry, yes, there's three. I think that. So there's
- 13:28Speaker 1: two that are about her life, and I've read those two.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I have not read the Animals one yet. Truthfully, I
- 13:37Speaker 1: don't think about that one as often as I should.
- 13:39Speaker 3: But I have the if you asked, and of course
- 13:43Speaker 3: you won't, but I haven't listened to.
- 13:47Speaker 4: And then there's here we go again, My life in Television.
- 13:50Speaker 1: That was great.
- 13:51Speaker 4: The one I read was Betty and Friends My Life
- 13:53Speaker 4: at the zoo. Yeah, okay, I just read that one,
- 13:58Speaker 4: but I do recommend the Binge Watchers Guide. One's from
- 14:02Speaker 4: twenty twenty two, and it's got a lot of good
- 14:04Speaker 4: facts and a lot of little behind the scenes things.
- 14:08Speaker 4: She talks about be Arthur's style. She she liked that long,
- 14:14Speaker 4: you know, loose thing, and she liked being barefoot, which
- 14:17Speaker 4: surprised me.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I just did.
- 14:18Speaker 4: She didn't seem like a barefoot kind of person to me.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I don't know why. That's just weirded me out the
- 14:23Speaker 4: first time.
- 14:24Speaker 1: But yeah, if you watch her feet on the show too,
- 14:27Speaker 1: she has like sandals every fucking time, and I'm always like,
- 14:32Speaker 1: she has these like long, skinny, big feet.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Must have been terrible to find shoes. Yeah, that's actually
- 14:40Speaker 4: a lot of her clothes were custom made because they
- 14:41Speaker 4: could not find clothes for her, because in stores you
- 14:44Speaker 4: couldn't find clothes for her. Yeah, that was interesting. Oh
- 14:48Speaker 4: that the author of that binge Watcher's Guy, she says,
- 14:50Speaker 4: the makeup these women have on while they're in their
- 14:53Speaker 4: pajamas is extraordinary and heavy. Also, the show always had
- 14:58Speaker 4: these women in a game pajamas, and yeah, I have
- 15:00Speaker 4: to say a lot of times that Johnson and I said, hell, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 4: I totally wear that. But yeah, some of the other
- 15:05Speaker 4: things like oh god, be why why that that one
- 15:08Speaker 4: has like a white thing under like an aprony thing
- 15:12Speaker 4: that Oh, yeah, the hell is that? I was watching
- 15:15Speaker 4: one where she's wearing like a like a little vest
- 15:20Speaker 4: sort of things, like it doesn't do anything, it's just ugly.
- 15:24Speaker 4: It's not.
- 15:27Speaker 7: No.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we play a lot of what are you wearing? Bee?
- 15:33Speaker 4: There was one episode Room of I mean, Blast came
- 15:36Speaker 4: out and said, you know, don't you like my new
- 15:38Speaker 4: dress or something? And and Rose just looked at her
- 15:40Speaker 4: and said, wow, it's kind of racy, and it was
- 15:42Speaker 4: like not at all. It was almost it was short.
- 15:47Speaker 4: It was like, it's that's.
- 15:49Speaker 1: The that was the trans Oh I thought maybe that
- 15:53Speaker 1: was the transgendered politician one where she had.
- 16:00Speaker 4: This is much earlier.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I've spoiled a giant plot point for you.
- 16:04Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 16:04Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I already knew that there was.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I mean, you've had forty years to watch it. How
- 16:12Speaker 1: much of this is really my fault?
- 16:15Speaker 4: I've spent most of the last two months watching Golden
- 16:18Speaker 4: Girls and listening to you'all talk about Golden.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Girls thank you.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Do you feel like you know a little bit prisoner?
- 16:25Speaker 4: I loved The Prisoner. You know the show that the
- 16:28Speaker 4: TV show The Prisoner. Yeah, familiar. We actually visited the
- 16:33Speaker 4: place in Wales where they filmed that.
- 16:35Speaker 1: We stayed. Oh cool, well that's cool.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Yeah, we went to Europe in nineteen ninety nine. Actually
- 16:41Speaker 4: I wore this sweater there. I had that sweater for
- 16:45Speaker 4: this long. It's my around the house comfy sweater. It's
- 16:48Speaker 4: not a pocket big enough to put my eyepad in correct,
- 16:54Speaker 4: so yeah, it's the cats love it. It's got a
- 16:56Speaker 4: little holes, but it's fine. And of course it's way
- 16:59Speaker 4: too big because I've lost one hundred and twenty pounds,
- 17:01Speaker 4: so it does.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Oh you can't exactly see it here, but right here
- 17:09Speaker 1: I showed James last night this little bit of skin
- 17:12Speaker 1: when the problem is the mic and the angle of
- 17:15Speaker 1: my camera. But I'm starting to get a little bit
- 17:18Speaker 1: of the ozempic neck. Right here, I have this like
- 17:22Speaker 1: empty piece of skin that's like yeah, I was like,
- 17:26Speaker 1: oh no, I'm I'm If I ever look like Kelly
- 17:30Speaker 1: or Sharon Osborne, take take my drugs away from me, please, sick?
- 17:35Speaker 1: They both they both look terrifying like she was just gone.
- 17:41Speaker 1: She was always the inside her, like her cheeks are
- 17:45Speaker 1: so hollow. Hollywood people in general are like not just
- 17:51Speaker 1: not just thin, but a lot of times super short.
- 17:54Speaker 1: The Natalie z who was on Passions and then she
- 17:59Speaker 1: did another show I can't think of the name of
- 18:01Speaker 1: that was hilarious on FX. She was so skinny. For
- 18:06Speaker 1: this indie film we did, like I put her in
- 18:09Speaker 1: like ten dresses before we decided that we couldn't have
- 18:13Speaker 1: her in a dress, and we ended up going with
- 18:14Speaker 1: overalls because they're supposed to look massively baggy. Because she
- 18:18Speaker 1: was like a double zero and then like she was
- 18:21Speaker 1: about maybe an inch taller than me. So it's just
- 18:24Speaker 1: it was like I was trying to dress a popsicle stick.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It was nicest human being, so sweet, and her husband's sexy,
- 18:30Speaker 1: but like just not her husband someone that used to
- 18:34Speaker 1: be on soaps too. He was also on like Passion
- 18:39Speaker 1: or one of those. Anyway, that's my story. I'm done,
- 18:42Speaker 1: Gina hit it. I feel like we're running along now.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I just looked up at what time I was and
- 18:48Speaker 1: I was like, get go.
- 18:49Speaker 4: I haven't I haven't even look to see what episode
- 18:52Speaker 4: are we doing?
- 18:53Speaker 2: Okay, we're doing season three, episode fourteen. It's called Blanches
- 18:58Speaker 2: Little Girl. Original air date January ninth, nineteen eighty eight.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Directed by Terry Hughes, Written by Terry Grossman and Kathy Spear,
- 19:09Speaker 2: Kristin and Laura. What do you think Blanche's Little Girl
- 19:11Speaker 2: will be about?
- 19:13Speaker 4: Does she have a daughter? I can't remember? She had two?
- 19:16Speaker 4: I can't remember it?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Does?
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think it's two daughters, two sons?
- 19:22Speaker 1: She has four? It's three sons, or she might have
- 19:26Speaker 1: five then, because remember she offers her sons to but
- 19:32Speaker 1: not the one with asthma Skippy.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right, so this's three boys and a girl.
- 19:38Speaker 4: But then again that changes. That's one thing that that
- 19:40Speaker 4: binge Watcher's guide points out is there's no continuity.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Oh no, Angela becomes Angelo.
- 19:48Speaker 4: That's because she died that Oliver pissed in the pools,
- 19:51Speaker 4: Like you don't have a pool, What the hell are
- 19:53Speaker 4: you talking about?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:55Speaker 4: I was like, what I hated that episode Other than
- 19:58Speaker 4: Rida Marina because she's a joying.
- 20:00Speaker 1: That episode was so upsetting, and also like other than
- 20:04Speaker 1: Oliver who became I think Charlie later, we were like,
- 20:09Speaker 1: what the fuck? None of those people were in it.
- 20:12Speaker 4: I didn't think I was on the right show. It
- 20:20Speaker 4: can't be her daughter, it seems unlikely.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Maybe it's her granddaughter that comes to visit.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Granddaughter comes to visit.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Okay, granddaughter, she wants to dress her up, and you
- 20:29Speaker 4: know all the girly ship she didn't do because she
- 20:31Speaker 4: let the nanny take care of the daughter.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Maybe, Okay, So what you think as well, Laura?
- 20:39Speaker 4: Sure, granddaughter sounds good.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Now, who do you think will be the hardest person
- 20:45Speaker 2: for Aaron to prove is the villain of the four
- 20:47Speaker 2: girls this time? Based on what little knowledge you have
- 20:51Speaker 2: of the episode.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Leaning towards Rose because Dorothy always does something mean.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Care you, I.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Agree, let's do Ros usually nice, so it's gonna be
- 21:06Speaker 4: harder for her to make it mean.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Miss Lindstrom please.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Probably not gonna be one involving sex, and Rose is
- 21:14Speaker 4: usually the prude, so that would make more sense. Let's
- 21:18Speaker 4: go with Rose perfect and then you need to take notes. Yeah,
- 21:23Speaker 4: you have close captions on that. I've got my TV
- 21:27Speaker 4: on and I can't really see things, so I'm gonna
- 21:30Speaker 4: be squinty. I guess I could. Well, I won't put
- 21:37Speaker 4: it on because I don't want to see that the
- 21:39Speaker 4: blurb on with the episode we've already discussed with the
- 21:41Speaker 4: We're good now.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, we're gonna go away. Now, we're gonna watch
- 21:47Speaker 2: the episode with Laura. You're gonna hear some commercials, and
- 21:50Speaker 2: we'll be right back with you.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Be there.
- 21:56Speaker 5: I'm d the host of Beer in Front. Sometimes the
- 22:00Speaker 5: beer in front of you is the best one yet.
- 22:03Speaker 5: I'll talk about some old school beers that maybe you've
- 22:07Speaker 5: forgotten about, some new beers that have the potential to
- 22:10Speaker 5: be a classic. I'll also talk to various people around
- 22:15Speaker 5: the beer world and get their stories all about beer.
- 22:19Speaker 5: That's Beer in Front and it's available on all of
- 22:23Speaker 5: your favorite podcast apps.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Oh hey, oh hey, you guys can pack cool cool?
- 22:34Speaker 1: Hey you did it? Did you watch the show? I did? Oh?
- 22:39Speaker 1: Oh okay. I met the lady behind you over there
- 22:43Speaker 1: that one.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Did you watch it?
- 22:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 22:46Speaker 1: She said, yeah, okay, cool cool? All right. Also to
- 22:51Speaker 1: the woman behind me, I like your hair. All right,
- 22:53Speaker 1: let's go, Oh you guys, did you love it? Laura?
- 23:00Speaker 2: And was your new favorite?
- 23:02Speaker 7: I know because that's shaming. Damn, that was harsh. And
- 23:10Speaker 7: that guy whoa she needs so fast?
- 23:15Speaker 1: I get the quiz done. In like one, maybe one
- 23:17Speaker 1: and a half like watches of the episode. I had
- 23:20Speaker 1: to watch this episode three fucking times because I was
- 23:24Speaker 1: so mad at the subject. The first time I watched
- 23:28Speaker 1: it that I got got all the way down and
- 23:30Speaker 1: I had one question and I was like, God, damn it,
- 23:32Speaker 1: I hate this show. I started it over and then
- 23:37Speaker 1: finally third watch through the next day, with like less
- 23:41Speaker 1: tired eyes and a little better attitude, I was able
- 23:45Speaker 1: to get fifteen questions for today's quiz. But initially I
- 23:52Speaker 1: was having a real hard time because it's just so
- 23:53Speaker 1: fucking mean. It's just but that's how the eighties were.
- 23:56Speaker 1: It's why I didn't like myself. I grew up and told, oh,
- 24:00Speaker 1: you wear like a twelve or a fourteen, you're fat?
- 24:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you're fatty.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Do you remember the limited it was limited to when
- 24:10Speaker 4: it was still okay? Yeah, I was able to shop
- 24:13Speaker 4: at the upper range of cloth when I was in
- 24:16Speaker 4: high school college. I was twelve fourteen, and then Lane
- 24:20Speaker 4: Bryant was, you know, my next best thing, and that
- 24:23Speaker 4: was at the low end of Lane Bryant, so.
- 24:26Speaker 1: We didn't have it.
- 24:27Speaker 4: When I went for my wedding dress, they didn't have
- 24:29Speaker 4: anywhere you could go to get plus sized wedding dresses.
- 24:32Speaker 4: So I had to get when that was too small
- 24:33Speaker 4: and they had to put inserts sides to make it
- 24:37Speaker 4: fit in my hips and I'm very hour glass. You
- 24:40Speaker 4: had to go to a tailor, it just seems for
- 24:43Speaker 4: this wedding dress place. Yeah, okay, so it's it's a
- 24:48Speaker 4: drop waisted dress, so it goes from boobs down.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Okay like this.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it was a pretty dress, I guess,
- 24:58Speaker 4: but it was like your I knew that in my heart.
- 25:02Speaker 4: I knew that it was okay, but it wasn't what
- 25:04Speaker 4: I would have chosen. But I didn't have a lot
- 25:07Speaker 4: of choices, so.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I have many options, pro there's lots of options now shopping.
- 25:13Speaker 4: This was nineteen eighty nine. There was no online shopping.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I couldn't do it. And I was in Dallas. That
- 25:18Speaker 4: was a pretty big town.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't even know when Labryan started, but.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Lain Bryant was around in the eighties in the eighties.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Online yeah no, no, no, at the store like at
- 25:30Speaker 4: the Hall.
- 25:30Speaker 2: But I didn't know if they even had the store
- 25:32Speaker 2: till the nineties. Okay, yeah, yeah, but.
- 25:34Speaker 1: It was it was really like matronly stuff at first,
- 25:37Speaker 1: like Lamebryan.
- 25:40Speaker 4: They were too bad. Back in the early eighties, it
- 25:42Speaker 4: wasn't too bad. I remember shopping for a wardrobe with
- 25:45Speaker 4: my dad because I lived with my dad part of
- 25:47Speaker 4: the year and I went to school. I went to
- 25:50Speaker 4: boarding school, so you know, sometimes sometimes I wasn't, but
- 25:55Speaker 4: he would. I would go to lanme Bryant's shop and
- 25:58Speaker 4: he would go and sit. And they didn't have a
- 26:01Speaker 4: food court back then. It was just you know, scattered
- 26:04Speaker 4: throughout the malls. Oh sure, it was like across the
- 26:07Speaker 4: mall from where I was in Bryant. So he would
- 26:10Speaker 4: sit there. I would go try on an outfit, go
- 26:13Speaker 4: stand in the window where he could see me kind
- 26:17Speaker 4: of a thing thumbs up, thumbs down. And that's how
- 26:23Speaker 4: my dad. That was probably my my senior year of
- 26:27Speaker 4: high school. Yeah, one of my only memories.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Of shopping for a prom dress with me my junior year.
- 26:35Speaker 1: We went to the Chess Com McClean talk outlet, which,
- 26:39Speaker 1: for those of you who don't know who she is,
- 26:41Speaker 1: she's a earlier Yeah, James was not last night. I
- 26:45Speaker 1: strangely told the story because I was talking about the
- 26:47Speaker 1: hardship I had writing this quiz because I was like
- 26:50Speaker 1: fucking fat jamming. It's upsetting me. And but long story short,
- 26:56Speaker 1: too late. I was like in tears. We went to
- 26:59Speaker 1: the comaclintock outlet where they had like their ninety nine
- 27:03Speaker 1: dollars like sample dress sale and like, I definitely never
- 27:07Speaker 1: got to shop at five seven nine when I was
- 27:09Speaker 1: in high school. But I had contempo casuals and wet
- 27:13Speaker 1: seal and I fit in their thirteen fourteen size there
- 27:17Speaker 1: and that was fine. But then when it came time
- 27:19Speaker 1: for prom dresses, all these dresses like stopped at like
- 27:22Speaker 1: size ten, maybe at twelve, and I couldn't get in them.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And I was not fat in high school. I was curvy,
- 27:28Speaker 1: but I was not fat made by a seamstress. Yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 1: we finally paid like full price at a Jessica McClintock
- 27:36Speaker 1: store for a dress that was in the window because
- 27:38Speaker 1: it was the only one that they made in a
- 27:40Speaker 1: size I think it was a fourteen sixteen like split
- 27:45Speaker 1: because they were those corset style dresses back then. It
- 27:48Speaker 1: was a stunning dress, but we paid like five six
- 27:51Speaker 1: times more than like the dress sale dresses all my
- 27:54Speaker 1: friends were able to buy because they were like a sizeds. No,
- 27:58Speaker 1: it was one of that it was when they did
- 28:00Speaker 1: that like Princess Silhouette where it was because this was
- 28:04Speaker 1: ninety seven. So there was the plane satin corset bodice
- 28:09Speaker 1: with the straps and like a stole, but then the
- 28:11Speaker 1: bottom of the dress was black and white stripes, so
- 28:14Speaker 1: it was black up top, black and white stripes on
- 28:16Speaker 1: the bottom. And then the stroll was or the soul.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't talk. The stole was black
- 28:25Speaker 1: on one side and the black. Yeah, it still checks out.
- 28:31Speaker 4: It's a little black, a little white.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Foreshadowing really like this is Yeah, you guys want to
- 28:38Speaker 1: you want to play this quiz?
- 28:39Speaker 2: Yes I do. Let me grab my notes, all right,
- 28:44Speaker 2: so as you can tell Laura, we just buzz in
- 28:46Speaker 2: now because it sinks to the clock on your computer,
- 28:49Speaker 2: so it is more accurate and Aaron doesn't have trouble
- 28:53Speaker 2: telling who's buzzing in Aaron Randolph.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't want me to do my pets.
- 28:59Speaker 1: You can't, you can but failure. I'm just not going
- 29:02Speaker 1: to respond to that. Well, let's let's let's do something
- 29:08Speaker 1: that's happier than death, a good old fashioned heated rivalry
- 29:14Speaker 1: with all right, you guys, ready, ready, there's no gay
- 29:20Speaker 1: sex or hockey involved in our heated rivalry unfortunately, but
- 29:24Speaker 1: there is golden girls and cheesecakes. So here we go.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Let's get ready. The buzzer is set. Please wait till
- 29:32Speaker 1: I finish the question. I'm looking at you, Kristen. All right,
- 29:36Speaker 1: let's go. What is the name of the restaurant Sofia
- 29:40Speaker 1: works at? Damn it?
- 29:44Speaker 3: Yes, Kristen was first Haiko pete chow wagon.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Mm hmmm.
- 29:51Speaker 2: She knew the beginning part. I only.
- 29:54Speaker 4: I knew. I was thinking taco house, but I thought, no,
- 29:58Speaker 4: that wasn't right.
- 29:59Speaker 1: It's so it's it's it's chow haanging. All right, Kristin,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you got a point. I'll get an update on the
- 30:06Speaker 1: scores later since other people have zero right now, won't
- 30:09Speaker 1: be as joyful for you that I do. Speaking of
- 30:14Speaker 1: pecos pete, what did the fries come in?
- 30:18Speaker 3: M hm Kristen saddleback yep?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Alright, howdy partner, Welcome to bake ghosts. Blah blah blah.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Can I interest you in a saddle bag of fries
- 30:32Speaker 1: with that ranchburger? It's real life? Okay?
- 30:41Speaker 3: Are we ready?
- 30:44Speaker 1: She was adorable, She was super cute. Who does Blanche
- 30:49Speaker 1: get a postcard from fuck oh all right, it's seating up.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Guys, her daughter Rebecca.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Yes, okay, Kristen is wiping the Are you.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Doing mouse or space bar?
- 31:09Speaker 3: Space bar?
- 31:09Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna try that. We're very close, you guess.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we're talking. There was a hundred milliseconds
- 31:19Speaker 1: between each of them. Not our closest margin, I think
- 31:21Speaker 1: so far. Closest margin one was one millisecond. Yeah, one.
- 31:26Speaker 4: This is much better than the old methods, so I
- 31:28Speaker 4: like it.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:31Speaker 1: According to Sophia, how long does it take Mildred to
- 31:35Speaker 1: unroll her damn it?
- 31:40Speaker 7: Oh?
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I buzz because she buzz I kind of trigger happy.
- 31:43Speaker 4: I'm sorry, you guess I got so.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I guess you could. I guess you could let Kristen
- 31:50Speaker 2: have a doon.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Since we I'm just gonna go ahead and finish the question.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be great.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Oh you know what it is?
- 31:58Speaker 1: According to Sophia, how long does it take Milli Drid
- 32:00Speaker 1: to unroll her stockings? Yes, this question is out of order,
- 32:03Speaker 1: and I'm sorry. Ry Oh Kristen, no you yeah, I
- 32:11Speaker 1: saw you buzz in. Yeah, no, I saw it come in. Look,
- 32:14Speaker 1: you were the only one who gets to answer because
- 32:16Speaker 1: you followed the rules.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Fifteen minutes.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Fuck and you got it wrong. Okay, I'm going to
- 32:26Speaker 1: reset the buzzers, and I guess we'll just let's see
- 32:30Speaker 1: who gets in first. I don't even I don't know
- 32:35Speaker 1: how to proceed with this, So you guys are just
- 32:40Speaker 1: watching for me to reset. This is so uncomfortable, Gina.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Ten minutes, ten minutes, yes, fuck off, I got it.
- 32:50Speaker 3: For some reason, I thought it was a fifteen minute break.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Breaks.
- 32:54Speaker 4: That's just the state of California. For the next question, well, yeah,
- 32:59Speaker 4: break would have got it.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Yet, breaks weren't. Breaks weren't fifteen minutes. In the eighties,
- 33:07Speaker 1: there were still ten.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Yeah, sometimes that's okay, now they're ten now.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yes, someplaces there short to get.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Like I fucking bullshit at Disney.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Sometimes they were like twenty because they gave you extra
- 33:20Speaker 1: time to walk because they knew you had to get
- 33:21Speaker 1: off stage, and sometimes they were fifteen. Things like that
- 33:25Speaker 1: fluctuated all the time. All right, I'm resetting the buzzer
- 33:29Speaker 1: and we are moving on. Please remember to let me
- 33:32Speaker 1: finish the question. Motherfucker's I'm too, Will Trott, Besides Rebecca,
- 33:39Speaker 1: what are we sure Blanche's bed can support krystin.
- 33:46Speaker 3: The weight of an average female and two Venezuelan soccer players.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:53Speaker 1: What is the name of Rebecca's dick face boyfriend?
- 33:58Speaker 4: Damn it?
- 33:59Speaker 1: Oh, this is close, but Kristin you beat them?
- 34:02Speaker 3: What is it Jeremy?
- 34:06Speaker 2: Oh? I just realized that. Yeah, that's your husband's name.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Didn't even connect.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Yeah, all right.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Next question, what does Blanche say she would like to
- 34:21Speaker 1: do with the hot coffee Gina the editor?
- 34:25Speaker 2: Wells, pour it down his pants?
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yep, that would I I really hated that guy. I
- 34:33Speaker 1: can't believe I liked him so much. On Murphy Brown.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Murphy Brown, Yeah, just relax, all right.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Next question, what did Lars Spenson accuse Eric the Red
- 34:48Speaker 1: of being Kristin yellow?
- 34:56Speaker 2: He's yellow?
- 34:57Speaker 1: Did you have more of that? Oh?
- 35:01Speaker 2: I thought that's what you wanted.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Well, yeah, he's yellow, coward yellow?
- 35:05Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah it was Yeah, it was a
- 35:09Speaker 1: coward and called him yellow. Okay, that's yeah, that's fine,
- 35:13Speaker 1: that's enough. You got there, Okay, resetting that buzzer? Get ready?
- 35:19Speaker 1: Are you ready? I feel like this one's going to
- 35:22Speaker 1: be one of those like heated rivalry situations. What does
- 35:26Speaker 1: Dorothy say Eric should be called m Gina Eric the Orange.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I'm the only one that buzzed in God
- 35:36Speaker 2: damn it.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Remember I was like, she said something better.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yellow and Red.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not gonna hit the button.
- 35:45Speaker 4: I'm already so far ahead.
- 35:49Speaker 2: No, yeah, what are the scores now?
- 35:54Speaker 1: That? Yeah? What is the score?
- 35:59Speaker 3: Christen, Aaron and Laura have zero, Gina has three, and
- 36:04Speaker 3: Kristen has six?
- 36:06Speaker 4: Fucking fucking.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Is your buzzer working? Actually it is, we know it is.
- 36:14Speaker 1: You just busted too early and now you're afraid. Okay,
- 36:19Speaker 1: who does dick face Jeremy say Rebecca might be mistaken
- 36:23Speaker 1: for in a Dodger's cap.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Kristen Amila soda?
- 36:29Speaker 1: Yeah, guys, such a douche Jeremy. I mean, I'm sure
- 36:35Speaker 1: Tommy Lasorda was not my type of people either, but
- 36:38Speaker 1: I specifically mean Jeremy all right.
- 36:42Speaker 4: But not quite as awful as Jeremy.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, Also, like this episode will be out after
- 36:50Speaker 1: so just rip Jeremy. I'm sorry about your death on
- 36:53Speaker 1: the Titanic. Yeah.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Uh.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Next question, how many times does Dorothy say back and
- 37:02Speaker 1: saying all love? Kristen?
- 37:07Speaker 3: Three?
- 37:08Speaker 1: No, okay, anyone else.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Not a quie?
- 37:14Speaker 1: Oh my god, I get a point. I get a point. Wait,
- 37:17Speaker 1: Gina Busden, No, okay, anybody anybody all right? I get Oh, Laura,
- 37:23Speaker 1: take a shot or god damn it, it's.
- 37:27Speaker 8: Fours like a shot, right, because Dorothy went back and say,
- 37:35Speaker 8: how many times am I going to have to hear
- 37:37Speaker 8: you say that in the story?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Back and say it all off? Beck and say it
- 37:39Speaker 1: all off? Began say so she says it four times.
- 37:42Speaker 3: She said it three times in the succession in the room.
- 37:45Speaker 1: That makes sense. Yeah, it's a trick question. I like it,
- 37:51Speaker 1: And I still didn't get the point because I'm like, guys,
- 37:53Speaker 1: just answer. I want I want everyone to get a
- 37:55Speaker 1: point with me because I'm a nice person. Shut up.
- 37:59Speaker 1: That's that's true. Don't don't make names out of Laura
- 38:03Speaker 1: got a point. Who what is the name of Sophia's child? Boss?
- 38:12Speaker 1: Mm hm oh Laura first, Yeah, that's what I wrote
- 38:22Speaker 1: down to Christian name.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Edna's grandson.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah right, you fucking fire so Jeremy. No, I don't
- 38:34Speaker 1: fired your fucking grandma. It's so fucking rude. All right,
- 38:39Speaker 1: here we go. Next question. What did the rest of
- 38:43Speaker 1: the world refer to the rendezvous with Sophia as oh?
- 38:48Speaker 4: Laura, Woo the ALTA Conference.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's in my trivia too.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Hey have you seen the men were at the ALTA Conference? No,
- 39:01Speaker 4: not an attractive puncer.
- 39:03Speaker 1: There two questions left, so spoiler alert Laura and Gina,
- 39:07Speaker 1: you can't win, but here we go. How many ways
- 39:12Speaker 1: do Rose and Dorothy used to say? Goodbye? Kristen? F yep?
- 39:21Speaker 3: Do you want them or no?
- 39:22Speaker 4: Fu?
- 39:23Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I'll take them. I didn't write them
- 39:25Speaker 1: down even but.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Yes, Audio and get lost? Sorry?
- 39:32Speaker 1: Can you? Can you?
- 39:33Speaker 3: Do you do the second one again?
- 39:35Speaker 4: Achie? Now?
- 39:38Speaker 1: Did you have her say I can't say it wrong
- 39:41Speaker 1: like she does? De were sure? Are you dating the
- 39:48Speaker 1: Liberty Mutual guy? Is that you? There's a commercial now
- 39:54Speaker 1: where he goes on a date and says that he
- 39:56Speaker 1: doesn't use his phone Pewter, and she says can can
- 40:00Speaker 1: new Lee instead of Canoli and I want to punch
- 40:02Speaker 1: her in the tit.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Oddly enough, I didn't remember the two Spanish words I
- 40:09Speaker 4: remembered alf Peter Saint and Rivederci, but I forgot and
- 40:17Speaker 4: of course get lost that one. That one.
- 40:20Speaker 1: This next question is the last question for this episode,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and there's gonna be some grumbles if you want to
- 40:30Speaker 1: buzz in. You can, but I want you to know
- 40:34Speaker 1: that I'm only going to give you like thirty seconds
- 40:37Speaker 1: to do the math max if you buzz in before
- 40:40Speaker 1: you do the math math question. Rose's mom made her
- 40:44Speaker 1: practice the tuba three hours a day, seven days a week,
- 40:47Speaker 1: for ten years. How many lifetime hours did Rose practice
- 40:52Speaker 1: the tuba?
- 40:57Speaker 7: That?
- 40:58Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 40:59Speaker 4: No, math is not my strong one in my library.
- 41:03Speaker 3: I can win math a calculator, but that's I know.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Three hours a day, yeah, seven days a week. So
- 41:10Speaker 4: the years two pounds of er attire. That's all I know.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Three hours times seven is twenty one hours times fifty
- 41:17Speaker 2: two weeks. I don't know what that is.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Ten years, Kristen, this is a very fifty three thousand,
- 41:24Speaker 3: six hundred and fifty five hours.
- 41:26Speaker 1: I don't think you understand what math is. So no,
- 41:29Speaker 1: that's super not right. Uh, Gean, how are you doing
- 41:33Speaker 1: the math?
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah? Am I allowed to do the calculator? No, it's
- 41:38Speaker 2: ten thousand, nine hundred twenty hours.
- 41:40Speaker 1: No, you're still wrong.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Seven thousand, six hundred and forty four three hours a day,
- 41:46Speaker 3: seven days a week. I'm fifty two weeks.
- 41:49Speaker 2: A year times ten years. I thought you said ten years.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Yeah, it's ten years.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Is it ten years?
- 41:56Speaker 1: It's ten years.
- 41:57Speaker 2: That's ten thousand nine math.
- 42:00Speaker 4: I just didn't do the math I wrote.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Do you have aaron?
- 42:04Speaker 4: I got the same as you.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's a thousand.
- 42:08Speaker 2: A year times ten years.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, you're right. Sorry, that's a typo in
- 42:16Speaker 1: my notes. I did the math ahead of time and then.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Math awful.
- 42:24Speaker 4: You have a backup place, gine.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I got it right, yeah, my math.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Just fuck with me on math girl, right.
- 42:35Speaker 1: No, I omitted a zero. I have one thousand. No,
- 42:41Speaker 1: don't worry, there'll be no math in future episodes. I
- 42:45Speaker 1: saw how you all treated me today.
- 42:46Speaker 4: I remember to write down the last line.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I know that last line is like a when I
- 42:53Speaker 1: feel like it, So it's not a guarantee.
- 42:57Speaker 4: Just in case I wanted, I got.
- 43:06Speaker 1: You might still need to know.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Aclamation point in the door.
- 43:11Speaker 4: I got the list of war paint, flaming arrows, and
- 43:13Speaker 4: covered wagon. I don't remember what that was.
- 43:19Speaker 1: That was the the strike they were gonna They're gonna
- 43:25Speaker 1: set the cover her week.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Her bladders weak, her eyesight's feeling, and her bones are
- 43:31Speaker 4: brittles like like.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Uh, it's it's at my pleasure what I
- 43:36Speaker 1: choose for the quiz. So you want to hear my
- 43:40Speaker 1: very weak case for Rosa's a villain because you fox
- 43:43Speaker 1: picked the person cool.
- 43:45Speaker 4: Not mean at all. She didn't do any shaming she did.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Hold on, yeah, hold on, I got you. Don't worry,
- 43:52Speaker 1: I got you. First of all. I just want to say,
- 43:55Speaker 1: like across the board, that like an ongoing theme of
- 43:58Speaker 1: frustration with her roommates. In fact, we just had the
- 44:01Speaker 1: therapy episode, and so from now on, if Rose is
- 44:05Speaker 1: brought up as a villain, I'm probably gonna mention this
- 44:07Speaker 1: each time, and that is the fact that her Saint
- 44:10Speaker 1: Olaf stories really fucking irritate her roommates, but she keeps
- 44:15Speaker 1: telling them like they've verbally. Dorothy had to yell at
- 44:19Speaker 1: her this time because she was like enough fucking already.
- 44:23Speaker 1: And then because Rose doesn't give a shit about anyone
- 44:26Speaker 1: but herself and her beloved Saint Olaf, she then can't
- 44:29Speaker 1: take the hint about the Saint Ololoff stories and starts
- 44:33Speaker 1: telling one anyway, but says, the town you don't want
- 44:36Speaker 1: me to talk about. That's pretty fucking rude, Like your
- 44:40Speaker 1: friend just had a little nervous breakdown at the table
- 44:42Speaker 1: because they can't take any more of your story. And
- 44:46Speaker 1: then you do it again immediately. That's fucked. Go ahead, Kristin,
- 44:52Speaker 1: defend your girl. That's good job.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I just want to say, she's using her life experience
- 44:57Speaker 3: to relate to a situation, and her life experience is
- 45:00Speaker 3: saint oh off, so that's all she really compare it to.
- 45:04Speaker 1: So her stupid life experiences are fault. I'm just anyway. Okay,
- 45:11Speaker 1: then she uh, I'm saving the fat shaming comment for
- 45:15Speaker 1: a last Okay. She tells Dorothy that she can't help
- 45:22Speaker 1: Rebecca because it's not her place and it doesn't matter
- 45:25Speaker 1: that Jeremy's being a dick face to her. She straight
- 45:28Speaker 1: up is like, doesn't matter, we can't help her. Fuck you,
- 45:32Speaker 1: of course you can. If you see someone being abused,
- 45:34Speaker 1: you fucking speak up and say something, you little bitch ass.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Next, whoa, whoa.
- 45:41Speaker 1: This boss comes over to the house for this like
- 45:46Speaker 1: makeshift union meeting with the with the grandmothers, and they
- 45:51Speaker 1: know that like Sophia has put herself on a stool
- 45:54Speaker 1: because she's trying to like lift herself up because she's
- 45:58Speaker 1: little and puff up and like stand up to the
- 46:02Speaker 1: workplace bully and Rose order. Rose offers him fucking double
- 46:06Speaker 1: stuffed oreos and milk. That is not He is not
- 46:09Speaker 1: there to be a grandson. He is there because he
- 46:12Speaker 1: is a terrible boss. And they're airing their grievances and
- 46:15Speaker 1: she's like, two hundred some cookies and milk, bitch, read
- 46:18Speaker 1: the room. You are not supporting the people you live with.
- 46:21Speaker 1: You're being such a bish. Next up, and finally, Sophia
- 46:28Speaker 1: has just told poor sweet jubby Rebecca that the only
- 46:34Speaker 1: thing she could model was car covers. And when Dorothy
- 46:38Speaker 1: tries to make Rebecca feel more comfortable and apologize for
- 46:42Speaker 1: her mom's bullshit, and she says, I'm sorry about my mom,
- 46:49Speaker 1: and before she can say anything, Rose interrupts her rude
- 46:53Speaker 1: and then says, we didn't expect you to be so
- 46:57Speaker 1: fat to someone who's just met.
- 47:00Speaker 4: I forgot about that.
- 47:02Speaker 1: That is fucking terrible, you bitch ass saying all of Meani,
- 47:07Speaker 1: So fuck you Rose. This episode, it was a stretch
- 47:11Speaker 1: that was hard. It was hard. This one was hard,
- 47:14Speaker 1: but luckily she said that terrible thing at the beginning.
- 47:19Speaker 4: It's maybe Dorothy was the only one she's got shamed
- 47:24Speaker 4: at all.
- 47:24Speaker 1: They called Dorothy fat all the time and ugly.
- 47:29Speaker 4: So like just watched I was watching the episode where
- 47:32Speaker 4: they're trying to oh Rose wants to have to give
- 47:37Speaker 4: a speech and people naked and starts laughing at her,
- 47:42Speaker 4: and then Benny starts.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, part why she didn't really like them because
- 47:49Speaker 2: Betty wasn't really stupid, Blanche wasn't really a slut. So
- 47:53Speaker 2: it's like, but she's like, yeah, I look like this.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I can't get away from your car.
- 47:57Speaker 4: You can't make that.
- 47:59Speaker 1: It's why she didn't want to come back for an
- 48:02Speaker 1: eighth season and why happened.
- 48:06Speaker 4: Y'all that's the writer's fault, and I feel the ladies
- 48:10Speaker 4: should have fought back. No, I'm not saying that. Shit,
- 48:13Speaker 4: she's my best friend.
- 48:14Speaker 2: If this stuff sounds horrible to you, kids, it's because
- 48:17Speaker 2: it really happens. So thank you for evolving and not
- 48:21Speaker 2: being this way anymore.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Yeah, And also, like I do want to stress because
- 48:25Speaker 1: I am a huge Susan Harris fan, and I have
- 48:29Speaker 1: finished Soap and Benson and I'm about to launch back
- 48:32Speaker 1: into soap because I realized a couple of the episodes
- 48:35Speaker 1: we're missing from the streaming service that I had, So
- 48:37Speaker 1: now I'm going to borrow my folks stev D sat
- 48:40Speaker 1: and watch it again, and so I just I just
- 48:44Speaker 1: want to say that, why, it's fine, it's fine.
- 48:49Speaker 4: I think that Hermione had right that time.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Yes, I basically don't sleep. I'm not sure if that's
- 48:55Speaker 1: unclear to anybody else at this point, but like like
- 48:59Speaker 1: five six hours is like the maximum my sleep.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Well that's all I get either, but I get up
- 49:05Speaker 4: at four and has to be at work by set.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Well, I work from home, so every time I'm not
- 49:09Speaker 1: in a meeting, I'm I'm double tasking and like I'm
- 49:13Speaker 1: at this desk with like podcast shit and then I'm like, oh,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I have a meeting in an hour. So when I
- 49:18Speaker 1: set down the podcast stuff and like rehearse, so I
- 49:21Speaker 1: find time. But anyway, look, the point long story short,
- 49:23Speaker 1: too late. I don't entirely blame Susan Harris because the
- 49:28Speaker 1: jokes and things that were being made were from another
- 49:30Speaker 1: like time period, and so I understand that, but like
- 49:34Speaker 1: it's even more apparent in her earlier shows, like there's
- 49:37Speaker 1: so many racial jokes and Benson and soap that like
- 49:41Speaker 1: make me uncomfortable for Robert Yom like to be honest,
- 49:45Speaker 1: like I just.
- 49:49Speaker 4: It was originally on the air.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and the gay jokes and soap are offensive. I
- 49:55Speaker 1: mean there's so much that we just as a society
- 49:59Speaker 1: thought was okay. And and that's what we noticed with
- 50:01Speaker 1: Golden Girls is it's not you know, in a nineteen
- 50:04Speaker 1: eighty five, nineteen eighty six, eighty seven lens, this was
- 50:07Speaker 1: sadly acceptable, but it's just not now.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Anyway, well look Laura, yes, we need some trivia from
- 50:17Speaker 1: Gina and it's gonna be magical. And I cut in
- 50:20Speaker 1: line because I wanted to bullshit the Rose thing as
- 50:22Speaker 1: fast as possible and no worries.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Okay. Sean Sheps played Rebecca Sue. She was in the
- 50:30Speaker 2: Terminator in Weeds. Scott Menville played McCraken. He did a
- 50:36Speaker 2: lot of voiceover work like Teen Titans Go. Joe Regabuto
- 50:41Speaker 2: was Jeremy. He was Frank On Murphy Brown. Meg White
- 50:46Speaker 2: looked like Meg Wiley was Edna. She was in Last
- 50:52Speaker 2: Starfighter and Dragonet.
- 50:54Speaker 4: I love Last star Fighter. That's how I dover. She's
- 50:57Speaker 4: the grandma from Last stark Fighter. Okay, Yeah, that's about
- 51:01Speaker 4: the way period. Yeah, that was eighties.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Meg was the Stewardess earlier this season. It says Dorothy
- 51:09Speaker 2: will wear the same outfit Rebecca does, the white shirt,
- 51:12Speaker 2: the brown cardigan, the plaid shirt in Rose fights back,
- 51:14Speaker 2: So we'll have to keep an eye out for that.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Huh. Okay, I am curious about that. But I remember
- 51:20Speaker 1: that was the lady in the plane on the way
- 51:22Speaker 1: to write the funeral. She was the old stewardess lady.
- 51:27Speaker 1: That's funny. That was just like two three episodes ago, right.
- 51:31Speaker 2: This one has a funny enough one out of ten
- 51:34Speaker 2: star review on IMDb that says.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Sophia is way too mean.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Yes, this is the first episode air in nineteen eighty eight.
- 51:46Speaker 2: And then things mentioned the ALTA Conference was February fourth
- 51:49Speaker 2: through the eleventh, nineteen forty five meeting of heads of
- 51:52Speaker 2: government of the US UK Soviet Union to discuss post
- 51:56Speaker 2: war reorganization of Germany and Europe. Sophia and no, I'm sorry,
- 52:01Speaker 2: Dorothy mentioned Brose was an Allied intelligence in World War Two,
- 52:05Speaker 2: so they're saying like she was smart enough to break
- 52:08Speaker 2: codes and double cross agents. And they mentioned F. Murray Abraham.
- 52:13Speaker 2: He was an actor in Amedaeus. He played Saliary Sean
- 52:18Speaker 2: was wearing a fat suit as you guys pointed out
- 52:20Speaker 2: to me, which I did not catch before. Yes, man,
- 52:24Speaker 2: the kid playing McCracken was actually sixteen years old there,
- 52:27Speaker 2: and he looks like it. Let's see. You mentioned the book.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Thank you guys for catching this. Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm
- 52:36Speaker 2: was a nineteen or three children's novel by Kate Douglas Wigan.
- 52:41Speaker 2: And then they mentioned the show Marblehead Manner. It was
- 52:43Speaker 2: a nineteen eighty seven sitcom. It was a comedy. It
- 52:46Speaker 2: lasted one season. I had never heard of that.
- 52:48Speaker 4: One of the few references in the show that I
- 52:51Speaker 4: did not recognize. Yeah, I'm always surprised of the things
- 52:53Speaker 4: that I'm aware of that y'all are, Like, I never
- 52:55Speaker 4: heard about Sizzelne was the recent one with the one
- 52:58Speaker 4: with the pig. I never heard of. And it's like, well,
- 53:01Speaker 4: I remember Sizzle. Yeah, there's some old ship that I
- 53:05Speaker 4: recalled just because I'm old that it crusts me up
- 53:08Speaker 4: that y'all don't even know who that person is, Like, oh,
- 53:10Speaker 4: of course it's that person that I Yeah, it's just
- 53:15Speaker 4: being that much older than you guys that I remember.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I remember watching shows when I was younger and going,
- 53:20Speaker 2: I don't know who that is? And so I just
- 53:21Speaker 2: let it roll off, you know. But now I look
- 53:24Speaker 2: them up, and I.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Look up the leaders at the Yalta conference.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Okay, is that right now? I was looking at marblehead
- 53:32Speaker 1: manner because I realized I didn't know what that was either,
- 53:36Speaker 1: and I don't. I still don't. I looked at the
- 53:38Speaker 1: pictures and I am no memory of that one Yelta conferan. Nope,
- 53:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't fuck single one of these people, guys, although
- 53:52Speaker 1: she did talk. Sophia did talk about having sex with
- 53:56Speaker 1: Churchill in an earlier episode, so I checks out that
- 54:01Speaker 1: that weirdly continues a story that doesn't necessarily happen with.
- 54:06Speaker 4: This Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Okay, No, I mean it's not that bad.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Twenty years is a hard pass.
- 54:16Speaker 4: Its supposed to be in nineteen twenty two. So this
- 54:18Speaker 4: was this picture from the Alto conferences nineteen forty five,
- 54:21Speaker 4: So twenty years earlier. Were they fuckable? No?
- 54:25Speaker 1: Maybe? I mean, look, I think FDR was probably fuckable
- 54:29Speaker 1: at some point. Hot take.
- 54:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I have seen. I did see just the other
- 54:34Speaker 4: day on read It. I saw a young picture of
- 54:37Speaker 4: FDR and he was a handsome man in like his twenties.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, there's a Reddit post young FDR
- 54:45Speaker 1: was seriously handsome.
- 54:47Speaker 4: That's the same one I saw.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Okay, but.
- 54:53Speaker 4: No, I feel like he would have like put out
- 54:55Speaker 4: an aura of evil, which is no get away.
- 55:01Speaker 1: That is just a handsome dude. Dude, he was going
- 55:04Speaker 1: to look in I'm hot for FDR. Guys, all right,
- 55:08Speaker 1: speaking of hot? Yeah, speaking of hot, where can they
- 55:15Speaker 1: find our hot hot librarian friend Laura on social media? Really? Okay,
- 55:22Speaker 1: you don't have to.
- 55:24Speaker 4: You could go to our website at Aldrich Box if
- 55:26Speaker 4: you want to buy some of our weird ship. Yeah there, Yeah,
- 55:31Speaker 4: cleaning our house so we can smell everything, and travels
- 55:33Speaker 4: so we got a lot of stuff on there, and
- 55:37Speaker 4: so yeah, Eldritch Toy Box.
- 55:41Speaker 1: There you go, Magic Kristen. Where can they find us?
- 55:45Speaker 3: You can reach us across all socials at on the
- 55:48Speaker 3: Luni pod and you can also email us at on

- 55:53Speaker 1: This is me, yes Hi. I just want you guys
- 55:58Speaker 1: to know that I am you have your cheesecake ready,
- 56:02Speaker 1: and Laura, yours is vegan and I hope you like it.
- 56:07Speaker 2: Jure, thank you.
- 56:10Speaker 1: That's all I'll feel there saying.
- 56:13Speaker 3: Get lost away go.
- 56:18Speaker 4: Something lost.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Yeah that one.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Okay, bye bye bye
