- 4:15that, sad and sorry for the lengthy introduction. We'll get into today's show
- 4:19after letting you know to go to support NOTT Great Detectors dot Net to support
- 4:24this year's listener support campaign. Now it's time for the Adventure of the Silent
- 4:29Tongue The Adventures of Frank Race, starting Paul Dubove with Tony Barrett as Mark
- 4:35Donovan. The war changed many things, the days of the earth and the
- 4:48people on it. Before the war, Frank Race worked as an attorney,
- 4:53but he traded his law books by the cloak and tagger of the Osn.
- 4:57When it was over, his former life was over too. Adventure had become
- 5:00his business. The adventures are Frank Race and now we joined Frank Race Fall,
- 5:23The Adventure of a Silent tun There's a single row of cells in every
- 5:31state penitentiary where there is never any laughter. In these cells, the lights
- 5:35burned with a feverish brightness day and night, because there is no sleep,
- 5:41no rest this side of the big sleep murderers Row. This is the death
- 5:46house. The grimness of the place is hard to describe. It even gave
- 5:49Mark Donovan the creeps as we walked along behind the silent guard. No Race,
- 5:57a guy must be nuts the wine up in his place. They hold
- 6:00a wake for you before you're even dead. I guess a man must be
- 6:02pretty segmentally before he can commit murder, even if he is legally saying tell
- 6:06me something. How come they're letting you see this, Monty Quinn. Are
- 6:11they going to fry him tomorrow night? Yes, I'm in the nature of
- 6:14a last request. Apparently Quinn has no family or no friends who would risk
- 6:17a visit. No, he still has a two million bucks man. I'm
- 6:20agnostic that a lot of good little do him though he's kept it well hidden,
- 6:26though at least haven't found a trace. Neither's the insurance company. But
- 6:30yeah, send you to pump the guy before he goes. No, Marcus,
- 6:34Marty Quinn sent for me himself. He knows I've been on the case.
- 6:40It's trying a pretty penny. If he tells you where to loud it.
- 6:43No, if he was going to talk, you to talk before this,
- 6:46I'm afraid he has something else on his mind. There we are.
- 6:51Your friend will have to wait out here, mister Race. Grab a seat
- 6:55on the benchmark. Yeah, I will have to first you, mister Race.
- 6:59Person regulation certainly I'm not armed, all right, Come on, here's
- 7:12a salmister Race. The warden said you can have three minutes. You're not
- 7:15to touch the prisoner and nothing is to pass between it. I understand,
- 7:24Race. Excuse the looks of the pace. I get more waste money decorating
- 7:28on such a short lease. Marty Quinn, he didn't look like a murderer.
- 7:32He looked like an egotistical ham actor unless you knew about his record with
- 7:35a submachine gun. Even now, there was a touch of cockiness about him,
- 7:40as though he had an unseen trigger within reach. It was a defiance
- 7:44that lingered in spite of a split pants leg and a shaven head, ready
- 7:46for the brine soaked sponge that would carry the high voltage into his brain.
- 7:50You look uncomfortable, race sit on. Time is short, Marty, bet
- 7:55I get to the point. You want to tell me where the money is?
- 7:58I told you once before, I don't know anything about any money.
- 8:01I hope you didn't call me here to tell me that you didn't shoot the
- 8:03armored car guards. It's a little late for that. No, I killed
- 8:07them, all right. I'm not expecting to get off. I ask you
- 8:11to come up because I like it. I think you're a guy I can
- 8:16trust, can I That depends on what you want. If it's a legitimate
- 8:20request, the answer is yes, all right, Marty Quinn ain't my real
- 8:26name. I'll begin there. This might surprise you. I used to be
- 8:31on the square at the business once grocery store and cold springs on the hud
- 8:35go ahead, got a mother and two daughters still living. Girls are grown
- 8:41up now. They ain't seen me or heard from me since they were kids.
- 8:45They don't know nothing about them. Fortunately for them, I'm glad you
- 8:48said that because I want to keep it that way. They're innocent. They
- 8:52don't have to be hurt, do they, I hope not? Well.
- 8:54Since they've grown up, they try to find out about their old man hired
- 8:58to take these things like that. I guess it's natural, but I wanted
- 9:03to stop before somebody turns up. The few catch and you can stop it
- 9:07for me if you will, before they get hurt. Oh. I got
- 9:11a safety deposit box at the Hawthorne Fidelity Trust. Nah, let your eyes
- 9:16light up. There's no dough in it. Pardonly for hoping. I want
- 9:20my kids to think I'm dead race I will be so that may be alive,
- 9:26but I want them to think that I died in South America or someplace
- 9:28on an engineering job. Say, can you understand that I can almost synthesize.
- 9:35Maybe you'd think a guy like me couldn't love nobody, but I did
- 9:39my old lady and the kid. There's something in that box that will convince
- 9:43the old lady. I sent you well believe the story. What is it
- 9:46you want me to take to them? Just a pair of Babyshe's race.
- 9:52I had him covered with bronze. Both of the girls wore him before they
- 9:54could walk. Is the only thing I took to remember that. Well,
- 10:00that's all that's in the safety deposit box. Yeah, somebody else got that
- 10:03hold up though, I told you if I had it, woldn't I want
- 10:07my kids to get it? Not that they'd touch in it at kind of
- 10:09money they were raised? Right? How do I get into the box?
- 10:13And where do I take the shoes? I sign a release that'll get you
- 10:16The box open for you. The warden is holding it the key. My
- 10:20real name was Marty Parsons. My old lady is Ella Parsons, and the
- 10:24girls are ruth and caroling. They're still in course planes. This is the
- 10:30last favor I'm ever gonna get to ask anybody race, the last and the
- 10:33big Will you do it? Yes, Yes, Morty, I'll do it.
- 10:50The Hawthorn Fidelity Trust Company turned out to be a conservative and reputable bank,
- 10:54the kind Marty Quinn or Parsons usually entered the hard way, accompanied by
- 10:58the ringing of gongs and the ring of guns. It was a busy bank
- 11:01on a busy intersection, and I instructed Mark Donovan to keep driving around the
- 11:05block until I came up. A lovely thing who could have been in any
- 11:09floor show on Broadway accompanied me to the vault, and I took possession of
- 11:11the bronze baby shoes smothered an impulse asked the clerk if she had a telephone
- 11:16and lived with her mother. Had made my way back into the street looking
- 11:22for a lift. Mister, well, that's very kind of you, but
- 11:26I have a friend in a car circling the block, and I think you'd
- 11:28enjoy riding with me. It seemed to be my day for beautiful girls,
- 11:33and I was pondering my unexpected good fortune when I suddenly became aware that the
- 11:37offer of a ride was not an offer but a command, a command backed
- 11:41by a pistol. The girl was holding in her purse the green sedan there,
- 11:45get in you frighten me, I might be arrested for hitchhiking. If
- 11:48you don't move, you may pick up a ride to the Morgue. If
- 11:54this baby was fooling, it didn't show her deep brown eyes. There was
- 11:56something smoky about them. Like fires, small ring under autumn leaves. She
- 12:01prodded me with the gun and I climbed into the back of the sedan.
- 12:03Behind the wheel sat an old lady in a bonnet. She looked like Whistler's
- 12:07mother. There was another young girl in the car, too, and she
- 12:11looked like the one who made Whistler whistle. Since we're making a tour of
- 12:16the city together, permit me to introduce myself. I'm Frank Race. You
- 12:20know who we are? Yes, I take it that you're Marty Parson's eager
- 12:24relatives. Which one are you? I'm Caroline and you must be Ruth.
- 12:26I'm delighted. You won't be delighted for long. Isn't anybody going to introduce
- 12:31me to Grandma? You have champing. It belongs to these girls, mister
- 12:37Race, handed over, not just yet. I promised to make delivery in
- 12:41Cold Springs, and I always try to keep my promises. We want those
- 12:45baby shoes, and we want them now. Never mind, Ruth, I
- 12:48can handle this. We're giving you a fair chance, mister Race. If
- 12:52you want to get out of this car and walk away, just give me
- 12:54the shoes. If you don't, I'm perfectly Kate full of taking them.
- 13:01You won't like that, Oh, but you're ruining my act. I have
- 13:03a story to tell, a great dramatic proponents that goes with the delivery of
- 13:07these shoes. There's been enough talk, Carolyn, Granny's right, get'em.
- 13:11You heard the consensus. Race smoky look came into her eyes again.
- 13:16I dug the shoes out of my pocket, and a girl named Ruth leaned
- 13:18over from the bront seat and grabbed them. The shoes caught Carolyn's glance for
- 13:20a moment, and I grabbed at the handbag and the gun. It was
- 13:24a foolish play. I had Carolyn tied up effectively. The grandma didn't get
- 13:26rattle at the wheel as I had planned, And from the corner of my
- 13:28eye, I saw Ruth, with a smile on a pretty face, swing
- 13:31the hard brown shoes at the side of my head. All right, Carolyn,
- 13:35open the door and shove them out in the street doors. Return the
- 13:37corner. You may be able to jump him under the tralee. Cars.
- 13:48I came out of a pink and green world all my own and returned to
- 13:52Earth with a severe headache. Whoever coined the line about the patter of baby
- 13:56feet never got that patter across the side of his skull from a grown up
- 13:58baby with brown shoes. My curbsidees Yester tied up. Traffic and horns were
- 14:03blowing, but they couldn't drown out the angelic voice of Mark Dobbin. Come
- 14:07on, come on, race, get with it, come too, Come
- 14:09on, come on with Marcus. What's that on the side of my head?
- 14:13It looks like a built in golf bol a red one. Where were
- 14:18you when I came out of the bank? Where was I? Says?
- 14:20I was waiting for the light, so like a toy the corner. But
- 14:22you come out and get the gladd item, some dame, and right under
- 14:26me very eyes, you'll leave me flat piling a car with her. It
- 14:28all comes back to me now. She introduced me to a grandmother. Lucky.
- 14:33I followed you when you drove away, But I won, did it?
- 14:37Dame? Slugging trying to neck with her? Right in the same car
- 14:41with a grandmother. Marcus, that isn't quite why I got slugged. We
- 14:43weren't necking. Oh, don't kill me that I was right behind you and
- 14:48sat through a rear window. All of a sudden you reached out. You
- 14:50put your arms around the dame. Please give me credit for a little more
- 14:54subtly, Mark, it so happened the lady had a gun pointed in my
- 14:58midrif. Oh please, A midrip is something that they no longer put in
- 15:01the middle of ladies baidens. Oh look, you better get up and let
- 15:05the city go about it's business. Come on, come on to the still
- 15:09a little grog. Let it drive me down the police headquarters. Yeah,
- 15:11I'll bet you've been a pip of a story to tell him, Yes,
- 15:16and a pip of a story to tell the insurance company. I'm afraid I
- 15:18just let two million dollars slip through my fingers. On the way to police
- 15:28headquarters, I briefed Mark on the story Marty Parsons had told me in the
- 15:31death House. The actions of Carolyn and Ruth and Grandma had taken it out
- 15:35of the confidential stage. I brought him up to date on all that had
- 15:39transpired up to the point I had blacked out, Oh, brother, really,
- 15:43fetch your line, didn't He? Yes? But he also cleared up
- 15:46a point. He was lying about somebody else getting away with the money.
- 15:50He got it all right, And now that Dame's had been Midsum, I'm
- 15:54afraid that's it. Yeah, but Race, a pair of baby shoes.
- 16:00You couldn't stuff two million bucks in them unless it was a million dollar bills
- 16:04and right, no such thing or is it only one I ever saw?
- 16:10I had a picture of Mickey Moss in the middle of No, the money
- 16:11couldn't have been in the shoes. As a matter of fact, I felt
- 16:15inside of them they were empty. But they tie in some places. I
- 16:18wish I knew where. Maybe the cops can help it that well, here
- 16:22we are. Inspector Liebus, one of the finest cops in the country,
- 16:32was my favorite contact at police headquarters. Mark and I went up to his
- 16:36office and waited while he chewed his cigar nervously and toward methodical orders into the
- 16:40telephone. Make sure they set up road blocks and all highways leading into town.
- 16:42But check the cars going out too. Get all the available men back
- 16:45on duty right away. I want to double to watch and all rail terminals
- 16:49and bus stations and triplett in the airline. It's summers and drake over here
- 16:52right away with the car. I went them with me. Hello, Race
- 16:56Donovan, Hi, how are you you seem pretty busy, plenty busy.
- 17:00There was both a favorite race and get out of here, so I can
- 17:03make believe I didn't see it. You should be glad to see me.
- 17:06I think I have a lead for you that may turn up the money.
- 17:07Marty quinn Or Parsons picked up on that armored cart stick up. You'd better
- 17:11have a lead, Frank, and had better be a good one. It's
- 17:14fresh, very fresh. I saw Marty in the death house last night.
- 17:18I know you did. That's why I want you to get out of here
- 17:19before I'm fourth to pick up. The order should come through from the commissioner
- 17:23any minute. Pick me up, ed why because you were the last man
- 17:26from outside the prison to see Marty Race. You were admitted to death row
- 17:30last night, just an hour ago, a few hours before the time scheduled
- 17:34for his execution. Marty turned up in the cell block with a machine gun
- 17:37in his hand. He's on the loose. Race. He killed four guards
- 17:41and escape. We'll return to the adventures of Frank Race in just about one
- 17:55minute. Now, back to the adventures are Frank Wright. Marty Quinns's escape
- 18:14had touched off a king sized man hunt with a good chance that I might
- 18:17wind up in the middle. Just as he finished dishing out the information,
- 18:21Inspector Leevis had another phone call, and Mark and I took the ring as
- 18:22a signal to get lost while there was still time, made our way to
- 18:26the car and headed cross town. Oh brother, I thought that cop was
- 18:32going to toss you in a clint with fast. It's just give me a
- 18:33break because we're friends. He knows I had no part of that escape.
- 18:37Somebody must have been awful, careless to let that Marty character get his mits
- 18:41on a chatter box. It wasn't an accident. That break was planned,
- 18:44well planned and perfectly time. Yes, hardy and all, because that's why
- 18:48he sent me in after the shoes. That box was checked by the police
- 18:52when Marty was taken in, and they passed up the shoes because they seemed
- 18:53irrelevant personal. He wanted them, though, and he knew that I could
- 18:57go in and take them out without question. If he try to get to
- 19:00them after the break, he'd be nailed. It makes sense, oh Race,
- 19:06what take a look in a mirror. I think that heap behind us
- 19:10has been there since we left place. Uh huh, I guess leave us
- 19:15put a tail on us, just to make sure he can pick me up
- 19:17if they forced him to do it. I don't think so. I ain't
- 19:19the kind of car cops us. Let me try shaking, all right,
- 19:22Take the next street through the factory district. Yeah right, yeah, it
- 19:30does. It would take all right there he comes, Slow down and see
- 19:33if he goes back. Yeah, I'll screwed up that ramp between those trucks.
- 19:38It's coming by the ram quick, Mark checks leave be market. Yes,
- 19:48we butt it ducks with this factor before it comes back. Right.
- 19:49Part he's on the lews and I'm the only one who can identify as women.
- 19:52From now on, Mark, we'll be trying to catch them, and
- 19:55he'll be trying to kill us. When a cold blooded murderer is after your
- 20:06life, the safest place to be is in police custody. But when you're
- 20:10on an assignment with two million dollars to recover, you have to play clay
- 20:15pigeon. I sent Mark into the underworld to see what he could pick up
- 20:18via the grape vine. Then I went home to my apartment to wait.
- 20:22I didn't wait long. May I come in, mister ros It was Ruth
- 20:32Parsons was standing there in the dim light of the hallway, very dick collete
- 20:36and taffada her uti took your breath away. I had to keep reminding myself
- 20:40that with this baby, it mightn't be a temporary condition. She might take
- 20:44your breath away for good. I could use a drink. I'll pour duchess
- 20:51your apartments in excellent taste. Race I might have known is your drink,
- 20:56not that it's what you're really after. I don't blame you for dating them,
- 21:02but you're wrong. What happened before was a mistake. Nevertheless, you
- 21:06made an impression on my head, not on your heart. She lifted her
- 21:11head as she said it, with a look in her eyes. Could have
- 21:15grown palm trees in the living room. She dripped it in my arms,
- 21:18and everything took time out. Now that didn't make you believe them. Maybe
- 21:27these were the bronze shoes. I told you they'd been a mistake. I
- 21:33came to give them back to you. Why does the man who sent you
- 21:36after them isn't really my father? He was lying? So are you?
- 21:40Baby? You expected to find something on these shoes, but you didn't.
- 21:44What is it? There's no tongue in the right shoe. Race. What
- 21:47happened to it? He was missing from the shoes when I picked them up.
- 21:49You've got it, you'd better say so unless you want to lose your
- 21:53best friend. What do you mean, Caroline and Granny have, mister Donovan,
- 21:57Unless I get the tongue, that's you, he's gonna have an accident.
- 22:02If he does, you'll have one too, Ducky. I'll let you
- 22:07go after you leave me to Mark Donovan. The hideout was an old barge
- 22:17tied to the end of a deserted war I preceded Ruth Parsons down to the
- 22:21ladder so she couldn't make a break on the deck and harold our approach.
- 22:23It turned out to be another bad guess on my part. As she came
- 22:26down the ladder, I reached up for her, but she lashed out with
- 22:29her foot and caught me between the eyes. All right, Racey, agint
- 22:37your ribs. Walk in into cabin and don't make a sad. I walked,
- 22:41and I didn't see his face until we were under the glow of a
- 22:44shaded gasoline lamp of the cabin, and the face was all too familiar.
- 22:47The thick lips, the red races scar that ran from one ear down under
- 22:49the chin, a visage I had seen often over a period of years on
- 22:52reward posters. A man wanted dead or alive. Bernie Dunna Tello only two
- 22:56notches away from the dubious distinction of being public Enemy number one. You've got
- 23:00the look of a guy who thinks he's going to collect some reward money.
- 23:03You're gonna be disappointed. You're holding a friend of mine. Where is he?
- 23:07You'll go bye bye to get him a little while. Don't be impatient.
- 23:10You wouldn't tell me where the tongue was, Granny, don't worry about
- 23:11that. Marty had I choked it out him while you were gone. Jerdy
- 23:15double Crosser was here in the barge all the time, and he tried to
- 23:18get away with you. You should have killed him. What do you think
- 23:21I did? Baby? Now, all I gotta do is get rid of
- 23:22this guy and his friend, and we can cut a melon and get out
- 23:25of the country. What about Granny and Carolyn, that's up to you.
- 23:27You want to split your half three ways. You want to come with me
- 23:30and pull the works, I'll go with you. You'll make a charming sister
- 23:33and an even more charming granddaughter, Ruthy, you really velvet that family story
- 23:38Marty gave you didn't never mind that he still got one fall coming into the
- 23:42river, go on, Race and pushed me through the door into the main
- 23:48cabinet. Carolyn and Granny were sitting there, a single candle on a box
- 23:51between them. Marty Quinn was stretched out on the floor, his neck broken.
- 23:55Mark was curled up in a corner, unconscious. About time you got
- 23:57back with him. We'd better be getting out of here. I'll get things
- 24:00ready in the car. Never mind, Carolin's there. Where are you too?
- 24:03Granny? What's going on here? That should be obvious. You better
- 24:07go for that gun, Carolyn, if you still have it, Get the
- 24:11candle out, get a light. Carolyn was hit my foller in the dark.
- 24:18After a screaming, got the gun. I moved away from the corner.
- 24:19Mark was him to draw their fire. I've got a gun too,
- 24:22Bernie. Oh, come the door. Demas leaves. This is Frank Race.
- 24:56You'd better come in. Frank. I got that order to pick you
- 24:59up. It may not be necessary, ed, I think I can clear
- 25:00the case. I need a little information, like what was Bernie done a
- 25:04tello? Ever arrested for rum running in the old prohibition days. Don Tello
- 25:10Yad was his first rap. Have you seen him? I'm going to dump
- 25:12him right into your lap if your next dancer hits. It's about Marty Quinn.
- 25:17Was he ever connected with a counterfeiting ring? But we could never make
- 25:19a stake. That's all I wanted to know. Quinn is dead. But
- 25:23I think we can pick up done a Tello and the money tonight. Will
- 25:26you play ball with me? Ed? You've never followed me up ed race,
- 25:30I'll play good. Order a speed boat and I'll meet you at the
- 25:33police dock as Hutchy yours better payoff raise, I think it will. Look
- 25:48what makes you think that those made calls sprung Sianna huts mighty made me think
- 25:52so he lied to me when I saw him in prison. He was an
- 25:55egomaniac, like most killers. He thinks people who work on the right side
- 25:59of the laws stup. I don't get it. Part of his warped psychology
- 26:03was to throw in a clue with the lies, just to give him a
- 26:06bigger kick out of getting away with the money. Mentioning cold Springs was the
- 26:10clue, and that sounds like a long shot to me, Frank, I
- 26:12think so. If Quinn was a counterfeiter at one time, he'd no engraving,
- 26:17wouldn't he. Yeah, that's what was on the baby's shoe tongue,
- 26:19an engraved map on the bronze showing where he buried the two millions that could
- 26:23be. And Bernie down at Tello is an old rum runner, figurestone and
- 26:26operate a speedboat. That's why he didn't catch anything in your dragonet. After
- 26:30the armored car heist, you overlook private boats on the river. I gotta
- 26:34hand it to you. Raise you'll grow up with answers. But I still
- 26:38think Cold Springs is a long shot. Hudson is a big river just the
- 26:42same. I'm gambling on the psychology of a warped mine. When we get
- 26:47opposite the town on the river, cut the motor and drifted downstream along the
- 26:49bank well to a m race. And this is about the tenth time we've
- 27:06drifted down river. They've got a show, sooner or later. It all
- 27:08right, I'll start her up and we'll go up a mile or so again,
- 27:12make another drift. Hey, what an that play? Funny? Here's
- 27:18another lunch. Yes, running without lights just as we are, we'd see
- 27:22it. That isn't coming in to a m ed Oh it isn't. Hey,
- 27:26there it is any morn might's see what a quarter miles down just offshore,
- 27:30he's turning in. Yeah, there's a cove down there. We've passed
- 27:32it before. I'll start up and we'll grab him. Not yet. I
- 27:34want them to lead us to that money. If we get them first,
- 27:37you'll ditch that bronze tongue and we'll never find it without excavating half the river
- 27:41bank. Someplace to put dough in a river bank. They'll just keep drifting
- 27:45at the time we get near that cove. Bernie done teller should be working
- 27:48with a pick and shovel. Is good. The high up here, we're
- 28:04about fifty yards above the cold. You can fan out as we crawled with
- 28:08a brush. You both get guns, yes, yes, let's go hold
- 28:18it a minute. Brenny's digging in all right by night. The light sound,
- 28:30that's it, he's got it. Let's rush him. Go all right,
- 28:32Burnie up with your hands. Stop the light, remy, you can't
- 28:34toss my light drop that gun. Don't you cast you a woman? Oh
- 28:42but you may play pigeons out of Carolyn and Granny. That's a capital of
- 28:47fence. Baby, it was dark. You can't be sure. Help me
- 28:48and I'll do anything you say. I'm sorry, baby, but you got
- 28:52a blind date with the Power and Light Company. Yes, sir, there's
- 28:56a chair all reserved. Here's a dough all right, Race good, I'll
- 29:07turn it over to the insurance company. Oh baby, baby, look at
- 29:11that cabbage. He look when you guys don't meet one favor before you lock
- 29:17it up, that one lock just to let me spread it out on a
- 29:21beach and once, just once, I want to run through a barefoot I'm
- 29:26got I can run through too million bucks faster than anybody in a ware.
- 30:03The Adventures of Frank Race, starring Paul Dubove with Tony Barron as Mark Donovan,
- 30:07comes to you from Hollywood. Others heard in tonight's cast were Eve McVeigh,
- 30:12Joy Terry, Michael Ann Barrett, Frank Gerstell, and Tom Charlsworth.
- 30:17This series is written and directed by Buckley Angel and Joel Murcutt. The music
- 30:22is composed and played by Ivan Ditmar. Be sure to be with us again
- 30:26this time next week for another dramatic chapter in the Adventures of Frank Race Art
- 30:30Gilmore speaking, this is a Brucel's production. Welcome back. Well, this
- 31:11is one of the more thrilling adventures of Frank Race we have seen in quite
- 31:15a while. A very well told story, and I love the title of
- 31:27the episode. It's such a clever pun and poor Frank Rice gets roped into
- 31:32the whole thing because he's a good guy. So it's always a tough break
- 31:37to see your hero taken advantage of that. All right, Well, now
- 31:41we turned to lestener comments and feedback, and we begin with an email from
- 31:47Aaron who said, you took the words right out of my mouth. A
- 31:52couple of weeks ago. You mentioned that Mark Donovan was an especially handy sidekick,
- 31:56and I've been thinking the same way. The show should be called The
- 32:00Magical Powers of Mark Donovan because he's always magically appeared at just the right time
- 32:07to save Frank Race from death. He pulls guns from ladies handbags and walks
- 32:12in at just the right time to throw a punch. We all need a
- 32:15Mark Donovan to follow us around. I agree, Aaron, and I've put
- 32:21in a requisition request for my own personal Mark Donovan. The great character.
- 32:28Though no miraculous work tonight. This time Frank Race had to save him.
- 32:36A hero having to save the sidekick on this show. That's turnabout all right,
- 32:40Well, that will actually do it for today. We'll be back tomorrow
- 32:45with Alive in your hands, and join us back here Nick's Monday for another
- 32:51great adventure with Frank Race. In the meanwhile, Sandra commons to Box thirteen
