- 8:19Speaker 4: has a great weekend. And we are here. It is Thursday.
- 8:23Speaker 4: That's when you're hearing this show. White Sox are officially
- 8:29Speaker 4: not in first place for the first time since July 22nd.
- 8:33Speaker 4: They lost. We'll talk about the MLB standings and where
- 8:36Speaker 4: we are. Now, of course, I record this show at
- 8:39Speaker 4: night on Wednesday, so I won't have the full MLB
- 8:46Speaker 4: standings as of Thursday morning. I have them as of
- 8:50Speaker 4: Wednesday night. So right now, Cubs are playing as of
- 8:53Speaker 4: right now. They are up 1-0 as of this recording,
- 8:57Speaker 4: so we'll see what happens in that. But let's go
- 9:01Speaker 4: on and talk about some college football. I had an
- 9:05Speaker 4: okay week with choosing my college football team. I went... Actually, no.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Let me see. Hang on. I think I went 5-5
- 9:15Speaker 4: this week. I went 10-0 last week. On ESPN, it
- 9:19Speaker 4: only lets me pick 10 teams a week. And it's
- 9:22Speaker 4: just random teams. Like, not always, like, your big ones. So...
- 9:27Speaker 4: Let's see where I finished last week. Of course, my
- 9:29Speaker 4: Michigan Wolverines are 2-0. I was definitely excited for that.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Let's go and see Week 2, how I did. So
- 9:37Speaker 4: on Week 2, I went 5-5. So altogether right now,
- 9:42Speaker 4: I am 15-5, picking 10 teams a week for college football.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Let's see what I did last week. So last week,
- 9:49Speaker 4: I picked the Purdue Boilermakers to beat Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
- 9:54Speaker 4: And the Demon Deacons won that game. 38 to 36.
- 9:57Speaker 4: That was close. I picked the Army Black Knights to
- 10:04Speaker 4: beat South Florida Bulls. So did a lot of people.
- 10:07Speaker 4: 81% in fact on ESPN picked Army to win. And
- 10:11Speaker 4: they did not. They lost 28-24. Michigan beat the number
- 10:16Speaker 4: 11 Oklahoma Sooners. So we're going to find out Where
- 10:20Speaker 4: Michigan lies in the top 25 now that they won
- 10:24Speaker 4: that game. Did they make it back in? We're going
- 10:26Speaker 4: to find out in a couple minutes. They won 17-10.
- 10:29Speaker 4: I was excited about that because I was only one
- 10:32Speaker 4: of the 8% that actually picked Michigan to win that game.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Let's see. I picked the Illinois Fighting Illini to beat
- 10:41Speaker 4: the Duke Blue Devils. And they did not. They lost 31-27.
- 10:44Speaker 4: I picked the Syracuse Orange. to beat the California Golden Bears.
- 10:51Speaker 4: They did not. They lost 21-18. That was crazy because
- 10:56Speaker 4: the California Golden Bears were only 12% picked to win
- 11:00Speaker 4: that one, and they did. I picked the Minnesota Golden
- 11:04Speaker 4: Gophers to beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and they got
- 11:09Speaker 4: their butts handed to them.
- 11:12Speaker 6: 38-13.
- 11:12Speaker 4: That's crazy. I picked the Pittsburgh Panthers to beat the
- 11:16Speaker 4: UCF Knights, and they did. Pittsburgh Panthers won 12-7. I
- 11:21Speaker 4: picked the Boise State Broncos to beat the Memphis Tigers,
- 11:25Speaker 4: and they did. They won that game 38-20. I picked
- 11:30Speaker 4: Texas Longhorns to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes, who were
- 11:35Speaker 4: number one at the time. And guess what? They did.
- 11:37Speaker 4: It was a good day. It was a great day.
- 11:40Speaker 4: The Michigan Wolverines won, and Ohio State lost. The Longhorns
- 11:45Speaker 4: won 24-23. And then last but not least, I picked
- 11:50Speaker 4: the North Dakota State Bison to beat the Air Force Falcons,
- 11:54Speaker 4: and they did 38-32. So that was last week. I
- 11:58Speaker 4: went 5-5. I'm 15-5 right now. Not horrible. Let's see
- 12:05Speaker 4: what we do this week. So here's the teams that
- 12:07Speaker 4: I picked for this week that they let me do.
- 12:10Speaker 4: I don't like that they only let me pick, like,
- 12:13Speaker 4: a few games. It's kind of weird. Last year, I
- 12:16Speaker 4: got to pick way more. I think I picked almost
- 12:18Speaker 4: like the entire thing. I got to look into this
- 12:20Speaker 4: to see why I'm doing that. I wonder if that's
- 12:22Speaker 4: just me. All right, so here we go. I picked
- 12:26Speaker 4: the Kansas Jayhawks to beat the Arizona State Sun Devils.
- 12:30Speaker 4: That will be an upset if they do. These times,
- 12:33Speaker 4: 88% of people pick Arizona State, so let's see what happens.
- 12:36Speaker 4: I picked the North Carolina Tar Heels to go 3-0
- 12:40Speaker 4: and beat the Clemson Tigers. They are the underdogs of
- 12:43Speaker 4: that game, too. We'll see what happens. I picked the
- 12:47Speaker 4: Vanderbilt Commodores to beat the North Carolina State Wolfpack. I
- 12:52Speaker 4: also picked number 16, SMU Mustang, defeating the number 23,
- 12:58Speaker 4: Louisville Cardinals, who are 1-1. We'll see what happens there.
- 13:02Speaker 4: I picked the South Carolina Gamecocks at 2-0 to beat
- 13:06Speaker 4: the also 2-0 Mississippi State Bulldogs. We'll see what happens there.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Florida Gators, I chose them. They're 2-0. to beat the
- 13:16Speaker 4: Auburn Tigers. Neither one of those teams are ranked either.
- 13:20Speaker 4: I chose LSU number 7 to beat number 8 Ole
- 13:23Speaker 4: Miss Rebels. We'll see what happens in that one. I
- 13:27Speaker 4: also picked Deion Sanders on the Colorado Buffaloes to go 3-0,
- 13:33Speaker 4: beating the 1-0 Northwestern Wildcats. That's a 78% pick, so
- 13:39Speaker 4: we'll see what happens. Then I also picked the Virginia
- 13:42Speaker 4: Tech Hokies beat the Maryland Terrapins. We'll see what happens
- 13:49Speaker 4: on that one. And finally, I picked San Diego State Aztecs.
- 13:54Speaker 4: They're Aztec warriors to beat the James Madison Dukes. James
- 13:59Speaker 4: Madison Dukes are 82%. Sometimes you gotta go with the underdogs.
- 14:03Speaker 4: They pay the most. Now, I'm not betting on these.
- 14:05Speaker 4: I just picked them. We'll see what happens. I wish
- 14:08Speaker 4: I would have bet the first week because I would
- 14:10Speaker 4: have won big cash if I would have went off
- 14:12Speaker 4: the ones that I did. I was, holy hell, I
- 14:14Speaker 4: won all 10 of them. All right. So let's see
- 14:18Speaker 4: where these teams rank. All right. So let's look at
- 14:23Speaker 4: the CBS Sports Coaches Poll of the top 25 teams,
- 14:27Speaker 4: and let's see where they rank. All right. So is
- 14:30Speaker 4: that the ranking on the side? I think it is. Yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 4: last week. So, okay, now I don't want to go.
- 14:35Speaker 4: All right. So at number 25, Virginia, who's 2-0, they
- 14:39Speaker 4: stay at number 25. So last week they were number
- 14:42Speaker 4: 25 all. Number 24, Washington at 2-0. Last week, they
- 14:48Speaker 4: were 19. They dropped to 24. That's pretty crazy. Number 23,
- 14:53Speaker 4: Houston at 2-0. They were number 22 last week. They
- 14:57Speaker 4: dropped one spot. Number 22, Missouri at 2-0. Last week,
- 15:02Speaker 4: it was 23. So, Missouri and Houston flip-flopped. Number 21,
- 15:07Speaker 4: Oklahoma at 1-1. Last week, they were number 10. This
- 15:12Speaker 4: week they are number 21. Next up at number 20
- 15:16Speaker 4: is Iowa. Last week they were 21. They are 2-0,
- 15:20Speaker 4: so they dropped one spot. Number 19, they are back
- 15:24Speaker 4: at it. Michigan, my team is 2-0. Last week they
- 15:29Speaker 4: were number, oh, I hear it says 24, so I
- 15:32Speaker 4: must have did a different list last week from somebody else.
- 15:36Speaker 4: We're going to do PBS every week. That way we
- 15:39Speaker 4: stay consistent. Last week, they were off of the list.
- 15:43Speaker 4: This week, they were on it. And the list that
- 15:46Speaker 4: I read. So this one, they're number 19. So on
- 15:49Speaker 4: this list, they went from number 24 to number 19,
- 15:52Speaker 4: which is good. Number 18, Oregon. They're 1-1. Last week,
- 15:58Speaker 4: they were number 6. This week, they're number 18. That's crazy.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Number 17, Utah at 2-0. Last week, they were number 20.
- 16:06Speaker 4: This week, they move up to 17. Number 16, SMU,
- 16:11Speaker 4: 2-0 last week, 17, so they dropped one spot. Or actually, no,
- 16:17Speaker 4: they went up a spot. Sorry. Number 15, Penn State
- 16:21Speaker 4: also went up a spot at 2-0 from number 16
- 16:24Speaker 4: to 15. Number 14, Tennessee, 2-0. Last week, they were
- 16:26Speaker 4: number 18. This week, 14, so they went up four spots.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Number 13, BYU at 2-0. Last week, they were 15.
- 16:38Speaker 4: They moved up two spots to number 13. Number 12,
- 16:42Speaker 4: Texas Tech at 2-0. Last week they were 13. They
- 16:45Speaker 4: moved up one spot to number 12. Let's see. At
- 16:49Speaker 4: number 11, Caleb Williams, alma mater, USC. 3-0 this year
- 16:54Speaker 4: so far. Last week they were 14. This week they're
- 16:57Speaker 4: ranked number 11. So they are moving closer to that
- 17:01Speaker 4: number top 10 spot. But they'd have to beat out
- 17:05Speaker 4: Alabama at number 10. Roll Tide. They are 2-0. Last
- 17:09Speaker 4: week they were 12. They got into the top 10.
- 17:11Speaker 4: They are now number 10. Ole Miss also last week
- 17:15Speaker 4: was at number 11. They are 2-0. Now they are 9.
- 17:19Speaker 4: They moved into the top 10 also. Texas A &
- 17:22Speaker 4: M moved up one spot to number 8. Last week
- 17:25Speaker 4: number 9. They are 2-0. Let's see. Number 7. LSU. 2-0.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Last week they were number 8. This week number 7.
- 17:35Speaker 4: They moved up a spot. I love theaters. Number six,
- 17:39Speaker 4: Ohio State Buckeyes. One and one now. They went from
- 17:44Speaker 4: number one and they crashed to number six. Screw you,
- 17:47Speaker 4: Ohio State. Number five, Miami. They are number seven last week.
- 17:55Speaker 4: And this week they moved to number two. Or, sorry,
- 18:00Speaker 4: number five. They went up two spots. Number four, the
- 18:03Speaker 4: Indiana Hoosiers. Two and oh. Last week, they were five.
- 18:08Speaker 4: This week, they are four. Number three, Notre Dame. Last week,
- 18:13Speaker 4: number four. Moved up one spot. They are also 2-0.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Also 2-0 is Georgia. The Bulldogs were number two last
- 18:22Speaker 4: week and number two this week. And the number one
- 18:26Speaker 4: spot goes to, all right, all right, all right, Matthew
- 18:29Speaker 4: McConaughey's school, Texas. They are 2-0. And last week, they
- 18:34Speaker 4: were number three. So moved up two spots to the
- 18:37Speaker 4: number one spot in the nation. So we will see
- 18:41Speaker 4: this week what happens in college football. Let's go see
- 18:45Speaker 4: what some of the great games are going to be
- 18:47Speaker 4: this weekend and which ones I think are must-watch. Alright,
- 18:51Speaker 4: so college football is not on, of course, Thursday this week.
- 18:55Speaker 4: It starts Friday. Of course, they're not going to try
- 18:57Speaker 4: to compete with the NFL. Some games to watch this weekend.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Friday night we've got number five, Miami. They are going
- 19:06Speaker 4: against Wake Forest. So that's always a must watch when
- 19:10Speaker 4: you've got a ranked team, even when they're playing a non-ranked. Also,
- 19:15Speaker 4: Friday night is number 22 Houston at number 13 Texas Tech.
- 19:21Speaker 4: So that should be a good one. I'm going to
- 19:23Speaker 4: talk about all the ranked games and we'll talk about those.
- 19:26Speaker 4: I don't think I'm going to talk about any other ones.
- 19:28Speaker 4: I told you which 10 I picked. But here we go.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Also Friday night, this one is at 9.30 Central Time.
- 19:38Speaker 4: Portland State at number 21, Oregon. So we'll see what
- 19:41Speaker 4: happens there. Saturday at 11 a.m., here's some of the games.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Buffalo travels to number 14, Penn State. Number 2 Georgia
- 19:52Speaker 4: travels to Arkansas. Penn State travels to number 6 Ohio State.
- 19:58Speaker 4: Kentucky travels to number 9 Texas A & M. That
- 20:02Speaker 4: one's at 2.30. Utah State at 2.30 plays number 17 Utah.
- 20:08Speaker 4: So that should be good. We already talked about this one.
- 20:11Speaker 4: It's at 230. 16 SMU taking on 23 Louisville. Let's see.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Also at 230, we've got the USC Trojans taking on Rutgers.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Number 12 versus Unranked. Florida State travels to number 10
- 20:29Speaker 4: Alabama roadside. My number 19 Michigan Wolverines at 230 play
- 20:34Speaker 4: against UTEP. They go to Michigan. Number four, Indiana is
- 20:40Speaker 4: at home at 3 o'clock on Saturday playing WKU. Northern
- 20:47Speaker 4: Iowa at 3 o'clock on Saturday travels to number 18, Iowa.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Troy at 6 p.m. travels to number 20, Missouri. BYU,
- 20:57Speaker 4: number 11, travels to Colorado State. Let's see, Michigan State
- 21:02Speaker 4: will play number three, Notre Dame, at 6.30 on Saturday night.
- 21:07Speaker 4: That should be a good one. Also at 630, we've
- 21:11Speaker 4: got West Virginia going to Virginia, who are number 25.
- 21:16Speaker 4: We have number 7, LSU, taking on number 8, Ole Miss.
- 21:21Speaker 4: New Mexico travels to number 24, Oklahoma. And the last
- 21:28Speaker 4: two that are ranked, Kennesaw State travels to number 15,
- 21:32Speaker 4: Tennessee at 645. And the big one of the night,
- 21:36Speaker 4: UTSA travels to number one Texas. So we'll see if
- 21:41Speaker 4: the Longhorns can keep themselves in that first number one
- 21:45Speaker 4: spot starting next week. So we'll see what happens there.
- 21:49Speaker 4: So it's going to be a good week at the college,
- 21:51Speaker 4: just like always. We'll have to see what happens, and
- 21:54Speaker 4: we will talk about it next week right here on
- 21:57Speaker 4: the Robbie P. Podcast. Let's move on to some NFL.
- 22:00Speaker 4: So as everybody saw last week, Caleb Williams, put on
- 22:06Speaker 4: a show. He put on such a show that he
- 22:09Speaker 4: got the air and ground player of the week this week.
- 22:13Speaker 4: And also, DeAndre Swift, my boy, Will Swift, got the
- 22:19Speaker 4: NFC player of the week this week. So, amazing for
- 22:22Speaker 4: the Bears. But I want to talk about something that's
- 22:25Speaker 4: been kind of bothering me for a while now with
- 22:29Speaker 4: Ben Johnson. And I love Ben Johnson, okay? Amazing. He's
- 22:33Speaker 4: going to be an amazing coach. He already is. an
- 22:35Speaker 4: amazing head coach. He was an amazing offensive coordinator. But
- 22:40Speaker 4: when he talks about the 70% that he wants Caleb
- 22:44Speaker 4: Williams to get, that is not important. Like, I don't
- 22:51Speaker 4: care if Caleb hits 70%. Now, 58, that's a little low. Okay,
- 22:57Speaker 4: like last year. This year, he's already in the 70%
- 23:00Speaker 4: range from last week. He had an amazing game. But
- 23:04Speaker 4: the highest Here's a fun fact. No NFL quarterback currently
- 23:10Speaker 4: holds a 70% or higher career completion percentage. Now, I
- 23:16Speaker 4: don't know if Ben Johnson is one of them to
- 23:19Speaker 4: get 70% this year, or if he's talking about career.
- 23:24Speaker 4: But nobody's ever done it in a whole season, or
- 23:29Speaker 4: in a whole career like that. So, I mean, right now,
- 23:33Speaker 4: Joe Burrow, is the all-time leader. Okay? Highest career completion
- 23:40Speaker 4: percentage leader, Joe Burrow, is at 68.5%. He leads. Number
- 23:46Speaker 4: two is Tua Tagliabola. He's at 68%. And Drew Brees
- 23:52Speaker 4: is at 67.7%. That's for your career. Says, while no
- 23:57Speaker 4: one hit the 70% over an entire multi-year career, Elite
- 24:01Speaker 4: quarterbacks have achieved 70% marks over individual seasons. Drew Brees
- 24:07Speaker 4: holds the record for the most career games with at
- 24:10Speaker 4: least a 70% completion rate, 116 games. So he's done that.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Single season record, Brees set the single season completion record
- 24:20Speaker 4: at 74.4%. So while it can be done, it shouldn't
- 24:26Speaker 4: be that important. And if you actually look at the list,
- 24:32Speaker 4: of some of the all-time greats in the league, none
- 24:36Speaker 4: of them have a career. I'm talking career, not just
- 24:41Speaker 4: one season. I would love to see Caleb have this
- 24:43Speaker 4: year over 70%. But let's not make that his lofty
- 24:49Speaker 4: goal every year. Because if he's throwing 65% and we're
- 24:53Speaker 4: making it to the playoffs, I'm happy with that. If
- 24:56Speaker 4: he's throwing 63%, I'm happy. If he's hitting 67%, I'm happy.
- 25:01Speaker 4: It does not have to be 70% every year. And
- 25:07Speaker 4: I think we can all agree as fans, we're not
- 25:09Speaker 4: looking for the kid to be able to throw 70%
- 25:12Speaker 4: every year. Just throw a good percentage. I mean, last
- 25:19Speaker 4: year he was like 58%, but he had 3,945 yards.
- 25:20Speaker 4: He literally holds the Bears record at 24 years old.
- 25:31Speaker 4: for the most yards in a season in his second
- 25:35Speaker 4: year in the league. That's pretty crazy to me. So, yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 4: I mean, I just wanted to throw that out there.
- 25:42Speaker 4: I am not as like, oh, I need my quarterback
- 25:46Speaker 4: to throw 70% every year of his career. Here, let's
- 25:49Speaker 4: look at the top 20. Okay, and this is the
- 25:54Speaker 4: top 20 quarterbacks and where they are in their career
- 25:59Speaker 4: in percentage. Joe Burrow leads everybody with 68.5%. Tua, 68%.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Drew Brees, 67.7% at number three. Number four, Jimmy G, 67.4%.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Number five, Kyler Murray. He's at 67.1% for his career.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Dak Prescott, 66.9%. That's including the last game for this year.
- 26:29Speaker 4: Kirk Cousins. He's at 66.7% at number 7. Number 8,
- 26:35Speaker 4: Matt Jones at 66.5%. So I guess it doesn't really
- 26:40Speaker 4: matter if you do it every year. Because look at
- 26:46Speaker 4: Matt Jones. Did he ever win anything? No. Number 9,
- 26:49Speaker 4: Justin Herbert, 66.4%. Number 10, Deshaun Watson, 66.3%. Tied with
- 26:52Speaker 4: him at 66.3% is Teddy Bridgewater. Patrick Mahomes, 66.1%. Number 13,
- 27:02Speaker 4: Chad Pennington at 66. Jared Goff, 65.9%. Matt Ryan at 15, 65.6%.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Number 16 is Kurt Warner at 65.5%. Number 17 of
- 27:08Speaker 4: the three-way tie, Geno Smith, 65.3%. Peyton Manning and Tony Romo,
- 27:14Speaker 4: all at 65.3%. At number 20 on this list is
- 27:32Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers at 65.1%. View it on the list. I mean,
- 27:38Speaker 4: it gets worse. You got Lamar Jackson at 64.8%. Phillip
- 27:41Speaker 4: Rivers at 64.9%. You've got Mitch Trubisky at 64.4%. And
- 27:50Speaker 4: number one on Super Bowl. Ben Roethlisberger at the same.
- 27:53Speaker 4: So is Jalen Hurst. All three are at 64.4%. Here's
- 27:57Speaker 4: the funny part. Tom Brady, the GOAT. In his career,
- 28:01Speaker 4: only through 64.3%. Steve Young, another Hall of Fame quarterback, 64.3%.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Josh Allen, 64. The great Jordan Love that everybody loves, 63.9%.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Matthew Stafford, the MVP last year of the league, 63.5%.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Joe Montana, 63.2%. We're almost in the 50s right now.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Case Keenum, our third string quarterback, was at a 62.3.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Nick Foles, who led us to, I think he won
- 28:37Speaker 4: the playoffs that one year, he's at 62.4 at 48.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Let's see, I'm just kind of skipping through. Brett Favre
- 28:46Speaker 4: and Jay Cutler are tied at 62% completion rate. Joe Flacco, 61.6.
- 28:53Speaker 4: He's tied for 57th. Troy Aikman, Super Bowl winning quarterback.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Only threw a 61.5% for his career. And then it
- 29:06Speaker 4: goes down. You got Eli Manning at 60. So, I mean,
- 29:10Speaker 4: this is what I'm saying. Cam Newton, 59.9. He won a, oh, no,
- 29:14Speaker 4: he didn't win a Super Bowl. But, yeah, look at it.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Kyle Orton, 59. I'm trying to see right now. Jim Harbaugh, 58.
- 29:24Speaker 4: He's a coach. So, I mean, yeah. I'm looking for Caleb.
- 29:30Speaker 4: I don't even see him on this list. Did he
- 29:32Speaker 4: even throw enough yet? Rex Grossman? Oh, Lord. Led us
- 29:36Speaker 4: to a Super Bowl, and he is at 55.2. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
- 29:42Speaker 4: I wonder if Caleb went up. I don't see his
- 29:45Speaker 4: name on this list. I'm looking right now. I know
- 29:49Speaker 4: last year he was at 52. Trying to see where
- 29:54Speaker 4: he was. His rookie year, he was at the sixth.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Archie Manning.
- 30:00Speaker 3: 55.2.
- 30:01Speaker 4: I mean, that's crazy. Oh, here we go. Jim McMahon.
- 30:09Speaker 4: The Bears Super Bowl winning quarterback. And I was with
- 30:12Speaker 4: that number 100 at 58%. Crazy. Dan Marino. Colin Kaepernick.
- 30:26Speaker 4: I'm looking out here. I don't see.
- 30:36Speaker 4: So I don't see Caleb or Drake May or any
- 30:39Speaker 4: of them on here yet. I think it's because you
- 30:41Speaker 4: have to have a certain amount of rank on here
- 30:44Speaker 4: because I don't see anybody. I don't see Bo Nix.
- 30:47Speaker 4: I don't see any of them on here yet. Right now,
- 30:51Speaker 4: where Caleb is after that game the other day, he
- 30:54Speaker 4: would be ranked around number 64 and with Trent Green
- 30:59Speaker 4: for 60.6%. Right now, on this list, he is above
- 31:05Speaker 4: some of your greats in the league. Ones who, you know,
- 31:09Speaker 4: were around a long time. So, yeah, I mean, I
- 31:14Speaker 4: think that he's okay with where he's at in the
- 31:17Speaker 4: completion percentage. Now, I understand that the reason why sometimes
- 31:23Speaker 4: you want your quarterback there, maybe he wants him to
- 31:27Speaker 4: aim for 70 because he'd be okay with 65. You
- 31:30Speaker 4: know what I mean? So, like, it's one of those
- 31:32Speaker 4: things where you say, okay, I want you to earn
- 31:37Speaker 4: this much money, okay? I want you to earn this much.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Knowing that person isn't going to hit that amount, but
- 31:44Speaker 4: they're going to get close. So maybe he's thinking, okay,
- 31:47Speaker 4: if I give Caleb a bigger goal, he won't get
- 31:50Speaker 4: that goal, but he'll get close to that goal. So
- 31:53Speaker 4: maybe he'll throw 68 this year. Maybe he'll throw, maybe
- 31:57Speaker 4: he will stay at the 70. Maybe he'll beat out
- 32:00Speaker 4: Drew Brees. Or, wait, who was it that held the record?
- 32:03Speaker 4: Drew Brees, right? He would have maybe beat Drew Brees
- 32:07Speaker 4: at that. So, yeah, we'll see what happens. But I'm
- 32:10Speaker 4: excited regardless. I think everybody's excited to see where this
- 32:15Speaker 4: Bears team goes. 1-0, we'll talk about their game in
- 32:19Speaker 4: just a second. And, hey, you know what? Because we
- 32:22Speaker 4: are a Chicago radio, we are going to talk about
- 32:25Speaker 4: the Chicago Bears game. And then we'll talk about the
- 32:28Speaker 4: rest of the NFL squad. I'll tell you where I
- 32:30Speaker 4: finished on that. So the Bears beat up iCarolina 59-37. Great,
- 32:36Speaker 4: great win. It was a victory Monday. It is still
- 32:39Speaker 4: a victory Thursday. We are riding all the way until Sunday.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Player stats from both teams. Let's look at the Panthers first.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Let's look at team stats first. Okay, so the Bears
- 32:53Speaker 4: won in total yards 552-478. Passing yards did go to
- 33:01Speaker 4: the Panthers, 353 to 261. The Bears did crush them
- 33:07Speaker 4: in rushing yards. The Bears rushed for 291 yards to
- 33:10Speaker 4: only 125 for the Panthers. Yards per play, the Bears
- 33:13Speaker 4: won that 7.9 to 7.7. Bears had 26 first downs
- 33:16Speaker 4: to 24 for Carolina. The Bears were 10 of 14
- 33:18Speaker 4: on third down conversions. The Panthers were 4-9. Both teams
- 33:31Speaker 4: were 0-1 in fourth down tries. Total plays, the Bears
- 33:35Speaker 4: had more, 70-62. Both teams had two sacks apiece. Punts,
- 33:41Speaker 4: there were three punts for Carolina, only two for the Bears. Penalties,
- 33:45Speaker 4: this was a killer. And I'm going to talk about
- 33:47Speaker 4: that in a second. That the Bears need to work
- 33:49Speaker 4: on for this week against the Vikings. But, Bears had
- 33:52Speaker 4: 12 penalties for 57 yards. Now, The Panthers had 11
- 33:59Speaker 4: for 84, but I don't worry about the Panthers because
- 34:01Speaker 4: I don't give a shit what the Panthers do for
- 34:03Speaker 4: the rest of the year. I care what the Bears do.
- 34:06Speaker 4: We're going to talk about that in a second. Bears
- 34:09Speaker 4: lost one fumble, which was Luther Burton III. Two fumbles
- 34:14Speaker 4: for the Panthers and one interception. The Bears only had
- 34:18Speaker 4: the one fumble. No picks for Caleb Williams. Type of possession,
- 34:22Speaker 4: the Bears won that 34-03 to 25-57. Tackles was led
- 34:29Speaker 4: by Carolina 43-28. Both teams only made one field goal each.
- 34:36Speaker 4: They were both 1-1 and both were 4-4 in the
- 34:40Speaker 4: red zone. Now let's look at stats for Carolina first.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Bryce Young threw 361 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and
- 34:51Speaker 4: he was sacked twice. Also, Pickett came in because I
- 34:55Speaker 4: think Bryce Young Oh, it was at the end when
- 34:57Speaker 4: it was garbage time. I think he came in and
- 35:00Speaker 4: he was 0-1 on throws. He kicked pretty bad. It
- 35:07Speaker 4: was a 1-10 quarterback rating for Bryce Young. Chubba Hubbard,
- 35:15Speaker 4: I think I said his name right, 10 carries, 49
- 35:20Speaker 4: yards on the touchdown. AJ Dillon, 5-28. Pinkett, 1-24. Brooks,
- 35:26Speaker 4: 4 for 14, and Bryce Young ran 2 for 10
- 35:30Speaker 4: yards and a touchdown. Through the air, Coker, it was
- 35:35Speaker 4: 8 for 138 yards with 2 touchdowns. McMillan, 5 for 75. Brooks,
- 35:42Speaker 4: 1 for 48. Hubbard, 3 for 38. Waller, 2 for 28. Trumbull,
- 35:47Speaker 4: 3 for 25. And Mike Evans had 1 for 9.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Mike Evans, not really, or Mitchell, sorry, that was Mitchell Larson.
- 35:56Speaker 4: I see M. Evans, but I think he might still
- 35:58Speaker 4: work at him. And then defense, 13 total sacks for Floyd.
- 36:03Speaker 4: Sacks went to Phillips, and I don't even know how
- 36:07Speaker 4: to say this guy's name. Uman Maligan? I don't know
- 36:10Speaker 4: how to say that name, but damn. No picks, no
- 36:14Speaker 4: one-force fumble by Okurke, and one recovery by Maligan. So
- 36:22Speaker 4: that was... Oh, and... Former Bear, Trevis Gibson, had two
- 36:28Speaker 4: tackles on the Bears, so that was pretty good for him.
- 36:32Speaker 4: On the other side for the Bears, our team, Caleb
- 36:35Speaker 4: Williams threw 21 of 29, 269 yards, two touchdowns, no picks,
- 36:41Speaker 4: and he was sacked twice. He had a 124.1 QB rating.
- 36:46Speaker 4: At one point, him and Bryce Young were both perfect,
- 36:51Speaker 4: so that's pretty crazy. And, of course, Caleb threw 72.1%
- 37:00Speaker 4: completion rate that day, so not bad. Let's see. Rushing,
- 37:04Speaker 4: DeAndre Swift. Swift, he earned that contract that we talked
- 37:08Speaker 4: about last week. 18 carries, 124 yards, 6.9 yards per carry,
- 37:14Speaker 4: and three touchdowns. Kyle Menungai, 10 carries, 100 yards, averaged
- 37:21Speaker 4: 10 yards a carry, and one touchdown. Caleb Williams. 10
- 37:26Speaker 4: carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns. And then we
- 37:29Speaker 4: have Luther Burton III, one carry for two yards. Womp, womp, womp. Receiving,
- 37:36Speaker 4: Kalief Raymond. I don't think anybody thought that they would
- 37:40Speaker 4: hear this name as the lead receiver. Eight receptions, 84 yards. Amazing.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Luther Burton III, five receptions for 62 yards. Roma Dunze,
- 37:52Speaker 4: two for 52 yards. Cole Komet, 2 for 35 and
- 37:57Speaker 4: a touchdown. Kyle Menungai, 2 for 24. DeAndre Swift, 1
- 38:01Speaker 4: for 10. The man who killed the Packers, Jaday Walker,
- 38:07Speaker 4: 1 reception for 1 yard and a touchdown. Amazing. And
- 38:11Speaker 4: then Colston Loveland, 2 targets, no catches, 0 on the board.
- 38:17Speaker 4: But you know what? He was doing the blocking. Not
- 38:20Speaker 4: every guy is going to get it. There does not. So,
- 38:22Speaker 4: you know, we'll talk about that too. Dylan Thiedemann, I
- 38:26Speaker 4: am so proud of this kid. Rookie, first game in
- 38:29Speaker 4: the NFL, first official game because the preseason don't count.
- 38:33Speaker 4: He had 10 tackles in his first one. Tyreek Stevenson,
- 38:36Speaker 4: nine tackles. Sacks went two. Montez Sweat, he had one.
- 38:44Speaker 4: And Street had one. So hopefully those numbers pump up
- 38:48Speaker 4: a little bit. We got to pump that fucker up
- 38:50Speaker 4: a little bit. But we'll see what happens there. And then,
- 38:54Speaker 4: of course, the one interception went to Muhammad, another rookie
- 39:00Speaker 4: that showed up and showed out. That's amazing. I love that.
- 39:03Speaker 4: I love when the rookies show up and show out.
- 39:06Speaker 4: That's how you do it. And then, let's see, that
- 39:09Speaker 4: was the only interception. And then there were the forced fumble.
- 39:14Speaker 4: Jalen Johnson had a forced fumble. And Bush had the
- 39:19Speaker 4: fumble recovery. So there you go. Defense. forced three turnovers
- 39:24Speaker 4: in that game, which is really good. I'm very, very
- 39:28Speaker 4: proud of them. for that. That's how you do it.
- 39:32Speaker 4: This is what the Bears got to do. Last year,
- 39:34Speaker 4: you know, they had, they led. They got to do
- 39:40Speaker 4: that again. The only way you're going to win is
- 39:43Speaker 4: if you do that. You have to force turnovers. This
- 39:46Speaker 4: defense is not great right now. This defense needs a
- 39:49Speaker 4: little more secondary. definitely one more pass rusher. I didn't
- 39:54Speaker 4: see Austin Booker in there much. I'm wondering if they
- 39:56Speaker 4: should give him a shot. Street did have a sack,
- 39:59Speaker 4: and so did Montez Sweat. I want to pump those
- 40:02Speaker 4: numbers up a little bit, and we'll see what happens. Oh,
- 40:05Speaker 4: and then the other fumble that they had is everybody said, oh,
- 40:09Speaker 4: three turnovers for defense special teams. That one came on
- 40:13Speaker 4: a pump return. Torrey Taylor with the banana ball. They
- 40:18Speaker 4: ended up getting on the ball and getting the ball back.
- 40:21Speaker 4: So that was amazing, and it happened when we needed
- 40:24Speaker 4: it to. So there you go. All in all, I'm
- 40:27Speaker 4: proud of the Bears. Got to clean up penalties. Penalties
- 40:31Speaker 4: kill you when you go backwards, especially for as many
- 40:34Speaker 4: yards as the Bears had. It was terrible. Like, the
- 40:38Speaker 4: first half, it was nothing but penalties. And you can't
- 40:42Speaker 4: go back 57 yards. I mean, one of them was on, like,
- 40:45Speaker 4: a 30-yard run by Swift. And he was feeling it.
- 40:50Speaker 4: And they ended up doing that. And now, you know,
- 40:52Speaker 4: we got to clean it up. You got the Minnesota Vikings.
- 40:55Speaker 4: They're a team that beat, not only did they win
- 41:01Speaker 4: against the Packers, but they were down and came back
- 41:04Speaker 4: and scored 29 unanswered points. So you got to clean
- 41:09Speaker 4: up penalties against the Vikings. I'll let everybody know who
- 41:13Speaker 4: I think is going to win when we do that
- 41:15Speaker 4: right now. So let's go over this week. really quick
- 41:20Speaker 4: and see what happens. So let's go over to my
- 41:26Speaker 4: trusty dusty fantasy football app. I didn't do that great.
- 41:33Speaker 4: I scored 133 points but my guys gave up 160
- 41:36Speaker 4: to me. So you're not going to win like that.
- 41:40Speaker 4: So let's see what we got here for the NFL.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Where is my NFL? pick them. Where is that at?
- 41:51Speaker 4: I don't see it. Let's go back. Here we go. Alright,
- 42:01Speaker 4: so week one, I was 11-5. That is not horrible.
- 42:05Speaker 4: That is not horrible. Next week, I'll do percentages more
- 42:08Speaker 4: because we'll have two weeks in, so I'll start doing
- 42:10Speaker 4: my percentages again. But yeah, 11-5 for the week. Not
- 42:15Speaker 4: too shabby. I took The Seahawks beating the Patriots, and
- 42:19Speaker 4: they did 13-10. Kind of a boring game. Not that exciting.
- 42:24Speaker 4: They should have did Bears and Seahawks to kick the
- 42:26Speaker 4: season off. I think that would have been better. I
- 42:29Speaker 4: picked the Rams over San Francisco. San Francisco routed them 27-7. Well,
- 42:36Speaker 4: it was in Australia, and it doesn't help when you
- 42:39Speaker 4: sit there and you say, okay, I'm going to get
- 42:44Speaker 4: there 28 hours before the game. And that's exactly what L.A. did.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Not good. You don't do that. That's why they lost.
- 42:51Speaker 4: They looked sluggish and bad in that game. We'll see
- 42:53Speaker 4: if they bounce back this week. I picked the Cincinnati
- 42:56Speaker 4: Bengals over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They won 33-27. I
- 43:01Speaker 4: picked Tennessee over the Jets. The Jets won 23-10. I
- 43:05Speaker 4: was shocked by that. I picked Pittsburgh and Aaron Rodgers
- 43:09Speaker 4: over the Falcons. They did it 20-13. I picked Jacksonville over... Cleveland, 34-10,
- 43:16Speaker 4: they won. I picked the Detroit Lions to beat the Saints,
- 43:21Speaker 4: and they did in an overtime thriller. Great game, 31-30.
- 43:24Speaker 4: I picked the Baltimore Ravens over Indianapolis, and they won, 41-23.
- 43:31Speaker 4: Of course, I picked the Bears over the Panthers. They
- 43:33Speaker 4: won 59-37. I picked the Buffalo Bills to win their
- 43:39Speaker 4: first game against Houston, and they did, 36-31. I picked
- 43:44Speaker 4: the Vegas Raiders, or no, I picked the Miami Dolphins
- 43:47Speaker 4: to beat the Raiders. The Raiders won 27-13. I'll shock
- 43:52Speaker 4: by that. I did pick Minnesota to win, and they
- 43:55Speaker 4: beat Green Bay 39-22. I picked Philadelphia over Washington. They
- 44:04Speaker 4: won 24-22. I lost on these next two. I picked
- 44:07Speaker 4: the Chargers over the Cardinals. The Cardinals won 26-14. And
- 44:11Speaker 4: then I picked, of course, the Dallas Cowboys. on Sunday
- 44:14Speaker 4: Night Football to beat New York Giants, and they did not.
- 44:19Speaker 4: I was shocked by that. Giants looked good in that game.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Scandaboo looked good coming off of his injury. Jackson Darn
- 44:25Speaker 4: looked good out there. So, I mean, I don't know.
- 44:28Speaker 4: We'll see. Odell Beckham's back. They might be a playoff
- 44:31Speaker 4: contender this year. We'll have to see. And then, of course,
- 44:35Speaker 4: on Monday Night Football, the return of the prodigal son.
- 44:41Speaker 4: And he did good. He did pretty decent. Not the
- 44:44Speaker 4: greatest Patrick Mahomes you've ever seen, but he was efficient,
- 44:48Speaker 4: and he got the job done. 31-10. Bo Nix is
- 44:52Speaker 4: exactly what we thought he was, and they lost 31-10.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Let's go over this week's games and see who I
- 44:59Speaker 4: picked for Week 2. All right, so we got tomorrow,
- 45:03Speaker 4: or tonight, because you're hearing this on Thursday, the Buffalo
- 45:06Speaker 4: Bills at home opening up their new stadium to the
- 45:10Speaker 4: Detroit Lions. I've got Buffalo winning. It's going to be
- 45:13Speaker 4: an emotional night in Buffalo. I think that Josh Allen
- 45:18Speaker 4: gets the win. I think they're going to win that one.
- 45:22Speaker 4: On Sunday at 12 o'clock, Carolina Panthers travel to Atlanta.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Both teams are all in one. I saw what I
- 45:29Speaker 4: need to see out of Bryce Young. I think he's
- 45:31Speaker 4: going to be more decent this year than he was
- 45:33Speaker 4: last year. I think Carolina gets their first win in
- 45:36Speaker 4: week two. Bears and Vikings on the lakefront. Bears win.
- 45:43Speaker 4: This one's going to be a blowout. I think our
- 45:46Speaker 4: defense is going to take it to Cousins. He's a
- 45:50Speaker 4: little slower. He's not Kyler Murray, and he's not young
- 45:54Speaker 4: like J.J. McCarthy. I really think that Bears are going
- 45:58Speaker 4: to round up. Bears are going to win this game 45-10.
- 46:02Speaker 4: I think that Minnesota is only going to score 10.
- 46:07Speaker 4: We are not the Green Bay Packers. I don't know
- 46:09Speaker 4: what the Packers are this year. Philadelphia travels to Tennessee.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Philadelphia's going to rout them. Pittsburgh travels to New England.
- 46:19Speaker 4: I think Pittsburgh goes 2-0 and beats the Patriots. Let's see.
- 46:23Speaker 4: Green Bay Packers. I will pick them to win over
- 46:26Speaker 4: the Jets. I don't think the Jets are that great.
- 46:28Speaker 4: I think they just beat a really shitty Tennessee Titans team. So, yeah,
- 46:33Speaker 4: I'm taking the Packers on that one. I don't think
- 46:35Speaker 4: Packers lose. I'd be shocked if they did. If they lose,
- 46:38Speaker 4: Matt LaFleur needs to be fired. Like, automatic. Holy crap.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Losing to the Jets right now when you're a playoff
- 46:47Speaker 4: contender team like Green Bay is every year, that's an
- 46:50Speaker 4: automatic fire in my book. Let's see. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- 46:54Speaker 4: and Cleveland Browns. Both teams are 0-1. Definitely goes with
- 46:59Speaker 4: Tampa Bay. I think they beat the Browns. Baltimore Ravens.
- 47:03Speaker 4: I think they're going to run over the Saints. Baltimore. Cincinnati.
- 47:07Speaker 4: I heard rumors that right now Joe Burrow is having
- 47:12Speaker 4: back issues. So we'll see what that does, but I
- 47:15Speaker 4: still think they have enough to beat Houston. But Houston
- 47:18Speaker 4: is favored in that game. They are the leader, so
- 47:23Speaker 4: I don't know. We'll see. I'll take Cincinnati in that one.
- 47:27Speaker 4: The 1-0 Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos are 0-1. I
- 47:31Speaker 4: gotta take Jacksonville in that one. I think that Trevor
- 47:34Speaker 4: Lawrence has been horrible, and I think he's going to
- 47:39Speaker 4: beat on Bo Nix. I don't think that the Broncos
- 47:42Speaker 4: are a good team. I just don't. I don't think
- 47:44Speaker 4: they're the team they were last year. They are going
- 47:46Speaker 4: to fall off. They are going to regress. I don't
- 47:49Speaker 4: think the Bears will. I think it's going to be Denver.
- 47:52Speaker 4: And I think New England too. Raiders against the Chargers.
- 47:56Speaker 4: I'm going with Chargers. I don't think the Vegas Raiders
- 47:59Speaker 4: are that good. I just think they beat a team
- 48:02Speaker 4: that isn't that great either. And that's why that happened.
- 48:06Speaker 4: I think they're 1-1 after this one. Herbert's going to
- 48:09Speaker 4: throw for like three touchdowns. Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys.
- 48:17Speaker 4: Right now, both teams look like crap, but I'll take
- 48:20Speaker 4: Dallas in that one. Let's see. Seattle Seahawks traveling to
- 48:26Speaker 4: the Arizona Cardinals. Both teams 1-0. The defending champions are
- 48:30Speaker 4: going to Spain, the Arizona Cardinals. Let's see. What else?
- 48:36Speaker 4: We've got San Francisco coming off that big win in Australia.
- 48:40Speaker 4: home against the Dolphins. I'm taking the 49ers in that one.
- 48:45Speaker 4: Kansas City, second home game against the Colts. I think
- 48:50Speaker 4: that Mahomes is going to be even better in that game,
- 48:53Speaker 4: so I will go Kansas City. He's got a game
- 48:56Speaker 4: under his belt. Two primetime games in a row for
- 48:59Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes. He had Sunday Night Football last week, and
- 49:03Speaker 4: now he's got Kansas City as Sunday Night Football this week.
- 49:07Speaker 4: Kansas City wins. And now the Rams Rams were on
- 49:10Speaker 4: Netflix on a Thursday. Now on a Monday, they're taking
- 49:14Speaker 4: on the New York Giants. Giants are good, but I
- 49:16Speaker 4: don't think they're good enough to beat the Rams. I
- 49:18Speaker 4: think the Rams are not going to start. the season
- 49:20Speaker 4: all in two. They are going to win that game.
- 49:22Speaker 4: So we'll see how my picks do this week. I
- 49:26Speaker 4: think I picked pretty decent, but we'll see. There's always
- 49:29Speaker 4: upsets and stuff, so we'll see what happens. I just
- 49:32Speaker 4: want to go over a couple more quick things with NFL.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Let me pull up my little photo gallery here. couple
- 49:39Speaker 4: things that I saved that were very interesting. So we'll
- 49:43Speaker 4: talk about that right this second.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Alright, so let's move on. I had to take my
- 49:57Speaker 3: mic out because I don't think it was fully charged
- 49:59Speaker 3: all the way. So if I sound different now, it's
- 50:02Speaker 3: because of that. But we'll see. Maybe it doesn't sound different.
- 50:05Speaker 3: I want to go over these quarterback rankings because this
- 50:09Speaker 3: is pretty crazy. Week 2 QB Power Rankings. Number 10,
- 50:15Speaker 3: Jared Goff. Number 9, Dak Prescott. Number 8, Caleb Williams.
- 50:21Speaker 3: I don't agree with that at all. Number 7, Jordan Love.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Jordan Love, he threw a lot of yards and he struggled.
- 50:28Speaker 3: He couldn't win. It doesn't matter how many yards you
- 50:31Speaker 3: have if you didn't put up a good game and
- 50:33Speaker 3: you lost the way they did. He had two fumbles
- 50:36Speaker 3: and an interception. Caleb didn't have any fumbles. or any
- 50:39Speaker 3: interceptions in that game. Number six, Trevor Lawrence. I don't
- 50:42Speaker 3: agree with that either. Number five, Matthew Stafford. Four, Joe Burrow. Three,
- 50:48Speaker 3: Patrick Mahomes. I think that Caleb belongs in the top three.
- 50:51Speaker 3: I think he could have bumped every single one of these,
- 50:54Speaker 3: except for maybe Josh Allen, and possibly, possibly not Lamar Jackson.
- 51:01Speaker 3: So we'll see what happens this week. Hopefully he'll get
- 51:04Speaker 3: some respect on his name. Here's the power rankings from
- 51:09Speaker 3: PFT for week two going into this week. Number 32
- 51:14Speaker 3: down a spot is the Browns. Number 31 down three
- 51:18Speaker 3: spots is the Dolphins. Number 30 down four spots is
- 51:22Speaker 3: the Titans. 29 down four spots is the Falcons. Number
- 51:27Speaker 3: 28 down one spot is the Commanders. Up three spots
- 51:31Speaker 3: to number 27 is the Raiders. Up three spots to
- 51:35Speaker 3: 26 is the Jets. Down two spots to 25 is
- 51:39Speaker 3: the Colts. Down two spots to number 24 is the Buccaneers.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Down two spots is the Panthers to number 23. Down
- 51:50Speaker 3: five spots to 22 is the Cowboys. Up three spots
- 51:55Speaker 3: at 21 is the Saints. Down four spots at number
- 52:00Speaker 3: 20 is the Packers. Up or down 7 spots to
- 52:04Speaker 3: 19 is the Chargers. Up 14 spots. I don't even
- 52:09Speaker 3: know how you can go 14 spots from there. 32
- 52:12Speaker 3: to 18, yeah, I guess. Yeah, I guess. Okay, so
- 52:15Speaker 3: they must have been dead last, last week pretty much.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Number 18 is the Cardinals. Up 1 spot to number
- 52:22Speaker 3: 17 is the Steelers. Up 4 spots is the Giants
- 52:29Speaker 3: to number 16. Up 4 spots to number 15 is
- 52:33Speaker 3: the Vikings. Still at number 14, always at number 14
- 52:37Speaker 3: was the Lions. Down 6 spots to 13 is the Patriots.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Down 8 spots to number 12 is the Broncos. Down
- 52:45Speaker 3: 9 spots to number 11 is the Rams. Up 5
- 52:51Speaker 3: spots to number 10 is the 49ers. This is the
- 52:54Speaker 3: top 10 now. Down 1 spot to number 9 is
- 52:58Speaker 3: the Eagles. Up five spots to number eight is the Chiefs,
- 53:02Speaker 3: so they weren't even in the top ten. Up four
- 53:06Speaker 3: spots to number seven is the Bengals. Up four spots
- 53:09Speaker 3: to number six is the Ravens. Up four spots to
- 53:15Speaker 3: the Jaguars to number five. Down one spot to number
- 53:21Speaker 3: four is the Texans. Up three spots to number three
- 53:25Speaker 3: is the Chicago Bears. I love it. Up three spots
- 53:29Speaker 3: to number two is the Buffalo Bills. And at the
- 53:32Speaker 3: same spot as they were last week is the number
- 53:35Speaker 3: one Seahawks. So we will see what happens with this.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Hopefully the Chicago Bears are going to move up even
- 53:41Speaker 3: more to number two or number one. We will see
- 53:44Speaker 3: if that happens. Until then, we are going to move
- 53:48Speaker 3: on to our next topic. All right, so today we
- 53:52Speaker 3: are not going to talk WWE. We're not going to
- 53:54Speaker 3: talk NASCAR. We are going to, because I ran.
- 53:57Speaker 3: Way over on what I wanted to talk about with football.
- 54:02Speaker 3: But it was week one, and there was a lot
- 54:03Speaker 3: that happened. This week will be a normal week two.
- 54:06Speaker 3: Everything kind of goes back to normal now. So we'll
- 54:10Speaker 3: see what happens there. We will go over the standings
- 54:13Speaker 3: next week for MLB. Actually, no, we're going to do
- 54:15Speaker 3: that right now. So let's go to ESPN and look
- 54:19Speaker 3: up the standings really quick. All right, so let's start
- 54:24Speaker 3: out with the American League. Let's see. They clinched... Playoff birds. Okay. So,
- 54:32Speaker 3: right now, playoff birds are the Tampa Bay Rays at 92-59.
- 54:38Speaker 3: They lead their division. New York is 88-64, four and
- 54:43Speaker 3: a half games back. Boston is 82-69. They're still in it. Toronto, 76-77,
- 54:48Speaker 3: still in it. And Baltimore... They're not eliminated yet, technically. Mathematically,
- 54:59Speaker 3: they're still in, which is weird. 18 and a half
- 55:02Speaker 3: games back, they should be eliminated because there's only, what,
- 55:05Speaker 3: like 10 games left on the season? So we'll see
- 55:08Speaker 3: what happens there. In the American League Central, right now,
- 55:12Speaker 3: as of today, Cleveland leads that division. The White Sox
- 55:19Speaker 3: have had that division since July 22nd. It is September.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Middle of September and now. This is horrible. 77-75. Half
- 55:32Speaker 3: game back for the White Sox. Detroit at 72-80. Five
- 55:37Speaker 3: and a half games back. Minnesota is right now still
- 55:45Speaker 3: in it at six and a half games back.
- 55:46Speaker 4: 71-81.
- 55:47Speaker 3: And Kansas City 66-85. Still 11 games back. And then
- 55:49Speaker 3: in the West.
- 55:49Speaker 4: Houston. Houston.
- 55:55Speaker 3: 76-75 in first place. They are a game ahead of Texas,
- 56:00Speaker 3: who is 75-76. Seattle, 70-82, six and a half games back,
- 56:02Speaker 3: still in it. And then eliminated is the Oakland A's
- 56:06Speaker 3: at 61-91. And the Los Angeles Angels at 58-93. In
- 56:08Speaker 3: the NL right now, in the East, you've got Atlanta
- 56:11Speaker 3: at 89-63. And as of right now, they're losing to
- 56:27Speaker 3: the Cubs. They are 5.5 games ahead of Philly. Philly
- 56:31Speaker 3: is 83-68, 5.5 games back. And still in it is
- 56:33Speaker 3: Miami at 75-77, 14 games back. Washington has been eliminated
- 56:36Speaker 3: at 71-81, and so have the Mets at 69-82. In
- 56:37Speaker 3: the National League West, the L.A. Dodgers have clinched a
- 56:39Speaker 3: playoff spot already. 92-59 first place. They are 10 games
- 56:55Speaker 3: ahead of San Diego, who are 82-69. 12.5 against Arizona
- 56:57Speaker 3: at 80-72. Eliminated is San Francisco, 64-89. And Colorado, again,
- 56:59Speaker 3: 56 wins and 95 losses. They will most likely join
- 57:01Speaker 3: the White Sox, where they were a couple of last
- 57:03Speaker 3: year and the years before, at 100 losses. multiple years
- 57:24Speaker 3: in a row. And then the National League Central. I believe, yes,
- 57:31Speaker 3: the Milwaukee Brewers are the first team to clinch a division.
- 57:35Speaker 3: And that is 94-57, 10.5 games ahead of the Cubs,
- 57:37Speaker 3: who are 84-68. Pittsburgh at 75-76 are out of the division.
- 57:39Speaker 4: St.
- 57:39Speaker 5: Louis.
- 57:51Speaker 3: It's 75-78. They're out of the vision also, but all
- 57:55Speaker 3: of them are still in the wild card. That's why
- 57:57Speaker 3: it doesn't have the elimination. Cincinnati is 70-81, and they
- 58:00Speaker 3: are out of everything. Wild card right now looks like this.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Let me try to hit anything on my thing. Wild
- 58:09Speaker 3: card in the American League right now, the New York
- 58:12Speaker 3: Yankees lead the wild card at 88-64. They are plus
- 58:15Speaker 3: 11 games. In the second spot, Boston, 82-69. They are
- 58:22Speaker 3: plus 5.5 games. And the Chicago White Sox, who moved
- 58:26Speaker 3: out of first place, are in that third place wild
- 58:29Speaker 3: card at 77-75. But they only got a game-and-a-half lead
- 58:34Speaker 3: on Toronto and Texas. And then a three-game lead on Baltimore.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Five-game lead on Detroit. Six on Minnesota. Seven on Seattle.
- 58:45Speaker 3: Ten-and-a-half on Kansas City. And then, of course, the Athletics
- 58:49Speaker 3: and Angels are all out. Leading the wild card for
- 58:53Speaker 3: the National League, the Cubbies are sitting at 84-68, plus
- 58:57Speaker 3: one and a half games up. The second wild card spot, Philly,
- 59:01Speaker 3: at 83-68, they're plus one. San Diego is 82-69, and
- 59:02Speaker 3: they're in the last wild card spot. Arizona is two
- 59:11Speaker 3: and a half games back. Pittsburgh, seven. Miami, seven and
- 59:17Speaker 3: a half. And St. Louis, eight. All the other teams
- 59:20Speaker 3: are eliminated. Washington, Cincinnati, the Mets, San Francisco, and Colorado,
- 59:25Speaker 3: all out of the major leagues. So we will see
- 59:28Speaker 3: next week. where they are a week later, because we
- 59:31Speaker 3: are getting down to the nitty-gritty. They should only have about,
- 59:34Speaker 3: right now, there only should be about 10 games left
- 59:37Speaker 3: for all the teams. That's crazy to think about, and
- 59:40Speaker 3: we will see what happens in those last 10 games.
- 59:45Speaker 3: Playoffs are going to be here before we know it.
- 59:48Speaker 3: All right, so let's talk really quick about my excitement.
- 59:52Speaker 3: Patrick Kane is a Blackhawk again. I am excited for
- 59:56Speaker 3: the first game of the season. I know the United
- 59:59Speaker 3: Center is going to go crazy when they see number
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: 88 back on the ice again. And Conor Bedard got
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: chose as a captain. That is huge for the young guy.
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: And he deserves it. He deserves it. He's had a
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: pretty decent season. He had a couple little injuries, but
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: it happens. But I am so proud of Conor Bedard
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: to be that guy. And we'll see how he does
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: as the captain. I think he's going to do just
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: fine and dandy. All right. Let's hit a song really quick,
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: and when we come back, we are going to talk
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: about the Emmys, which were Monday, hosted by the beautiful
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Mariska Hardete. That was amazing. Let's go into a song, though.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: Here's one of the birthday boys this week. It is
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: Young Jock. It's going down. Right here on the Robbie
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: G Podcast.
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: This is Needed Beat.
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: Here we go again.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Bad Boy South.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: Get on Bill USA.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: Block Entertainment. You know I go by the name Needed, right? Uh-huh.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: I got to introduce y'all. Remember, I'm got my squad, right?
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: This is the man. Nobody named my job.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: He resides in.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: College Park, right?
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: But for right now, what we got to do for y'all,
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: what we going to do? We got to give y'all
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: a hit.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: Tell my babes, damn the air day, ask a million
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: questions like, Jock, where you stay? Tell them college ball,
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: where the chop call, eat 20 grand, spend a grand
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: at the ball. This is about a zone, J's on
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: my feet, I'm on that Patron, so get like me.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: 869 Cutlass, with the bucket seat.
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: Beat in my trunk, bought it just for the freaks
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: Catch me in the hood, post it at the store
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: Twizzle in my lap on the phone, countin' dough If
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: a girl choose, let her do her thing Just like

- 1:03:28Speaker 5: Time to set it off.
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: Let these niggas know. Have you ever seen a Chevy
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: with a butterfly door? I ride real slow. No need
- 1:03:36Speaker 6: to speed. Gotta make sure you see the buttons on
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: my feet.
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: Feds on my trail.
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: But they don't think I know. I keep my hands
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: clean cause I never touch dope. Every time I see them,

- 1:03:49Speaker 5: It's me.
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: Surprise, put it in the air. Rip where you stay.

- 1:04:23Speaker 6: Anywhere you meet me, guaranteed to go down.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Young John, Nitty Stripes again. This a Nitty B. Playmaker.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: One of my favorite songs of all time. That was
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: Young Jock, The Birthday Boy this week with It's Going Down.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: I want to talk about the Emmys. Pretty decent. Not
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: a lot of speeches. One political, maybe a couple here
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: and there. But for the most part, they kept it
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: light and fun. It started out with Mariska Hardite. Amazing.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Looked beautiful as always. Actually, it looked even more beautiful
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: than she does as Olivia Benson because she was actually...
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: dressed up in a dress and looked really nice. She
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: was the first woman to host the Emmys in 15 years.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Mariska presided over the festivities, a role that's never easy,
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: mostly with success from performing the obligatory song and dance
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: opening sequence to igniting a feud with Nicole Kidman on
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: who has the rights to the infamous AMC ad and
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: starring in a pre-taped Law & Order SVU skit that
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: featured a surprise cameo. from real-life friend Taylor Swift and
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: her cat, who's named Olivia Benson. And the rest of
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: the SVU cast were all in it, too. So it
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: was really cool. Ice tea, all of them. In his
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: first appearance at the Emmys in 13 years, Michael J.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: Fox received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his contributions
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: to Parkinson's disease research. That was pretty cool. I loved
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: seeing him on there. And then, just a few weeks
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: after the death of Dolly Parton, the Television Academy... produced
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: a touching tribute to the singer-actor icon with an introduction
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: from Emmy winner Sally Field and the voice of Reba McIntyre,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: who sang Songars. And then, of course, they did In
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Memoriam to all the actors that died over the last year.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: Here's the winners of all the awards. The Pit, one
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: outstanding drama series, not a shocker. That show wins everything

- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Ryes from Widows Bay. Also from Widows Bay, Outstanding Supporting

- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Actor in a Comedy went to Michael J. Fox for Shrinking.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: So not only did he win or get the Bob
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: Hope Humanitarian Award, he also got an actual Emmy for Shrinking.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: That's pretty cool. Let's see. Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: went to DTF St. Louis Season 1 from HBO Max.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series went
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: to Sally Field. for Remarkably Bright Creatures. She deserves that one.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: Matthew Rise won another award for Outstanding Lead Actor in
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: a Limited or Anthology Series for The Beast in Me.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: So he won for two different shows. That's pretty cool.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series went
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: to Linda Cardinelli. She's one of my favorite actresses from
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: DTF St.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Louis.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: Also from DTF St.
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: Louis.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series went
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: to David Harbour. Outstanding Animated Series, South Park on Paramount +.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: Beat out Rick and Morty, Smiling Friends, Star Wars, Visions,
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: and The Simpsons. Outstanding Reality Competition Program went to The Trainers.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: That's pretty crazy. It beat out Dancing with the Stars,
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: which is back right now, if you like that show.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: That's cool. Outstanding Host for Reality or Reality Competition went
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: to Alan Cumming from The Trainers. Let's see.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: Outstanding Scripted Variety Series went to The Late Show with
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: Stephen Colbert. That's cool that he won because he's done now.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: He beat out John Oliver, Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show,
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: and Jimmy Kimmel.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: And that's it.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: That's the list. I'm sure there's a lot more, but
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: we don't need them all. We don't need every single
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: award because, damn, we'd be here for like hours with that.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: All right, so that is it. Another Emmys in the book.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: And now we will move on. to our second to
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: last topic of the night. Shows that are returning. When
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: are your favorite shows coming back? Wednesday, September 16th, which
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: was now yesterday, South Park premiered their first show at
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: 9 o'clock. Thursday, September 17th, Monster, the Lizzie Bourdain story
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: on Netflix. For Howard Stern fans like me, Howard Stern
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: has a new show on on HBO Max. It is
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: going to Be His Radio Show. They're going to cut
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: down the three-hour show into one hour and show you
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: the best highlights of the show for the week. So
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: that's pretty cool. It'll be out every Thursday night. Stranger
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: Things Tales from 85 is on Netflix starting today, which
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: is Thursday. And The Traitor's New Blood premieres at 8 p.m.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: on Thursday night. So if you're not watching football, there
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: you go. Let's see. I'm really just going for a
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: lot of your main shows. So I'm looking right now.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: NBC's got a new show premiering Monday, September 21st at
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: 10 p.m. Eastern called Line of Fire. Let's see. Tuesday,
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: September 22nd, 8 p.m. on Fox is Best Medicine followed

- 1:11:42Speaker 3: starts on CBS and so does The Floor on Fox
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: at 8 p.m. And America's Got Talent finale is next week.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: I thought The Voice was premiering next week, but I
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: guess not. I don't see it on here. Must be
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: the week after. Let's see. Thursday, September 24th, A Different World.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: If you were a fan of Dwayne Wayne and Daphne,
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: they are back for that show. It's their daughter going
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: to Hillman. I am excited for this. I can't wait
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: to watch it. It premieres next Thursday on Netflix. If
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: you grew up watching Cosby's show, A Different World, definitely
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: check that out. Sounds like it's going to be good.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Hell's Kitchen premieres on Fox at 8 p.m. next week.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Let's see. Next Friday, September 25th, 2020, has their premiere
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: and so does Dateline, both at 9 o'clock. And then
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: the new season of SNL starts on September 26th, next Saturday.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: It's going to be Jalen Brunson, I'm excited for that,
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: and Cat's Eye starting out the first week of it,
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: so that'll be good. Sunday, September 27th, is the MTV
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: Video Music Awards, so that's going to be good. Uh,
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: let's see. Simpsons makes its premiere. Wow, that's crazy. That
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: show's been on since I was a kid. Uh, and
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: I'm now 45, so almost 46. That's crazy. Uh, let's see.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: Scrubs returns to ABC Wednesday, September 30th at 8, followed
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: by Shark Tank and The Amazing Race on CBS that day. Uh,
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: so that'll be good. Here comes October. This is the
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: big month. This is when all the shows premiere. Now,
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: I know... Everybody's used to it being in September. That's
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: why everybody's a little thrown off. But yeah, everything starts
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: the first week of October. Let's see. Tracker comes back
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: to CBS on Sunday, October 4th. What is this thing
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: that's on here? Get off of my screen. Why is
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: this thing here? Oh, it's Starbucks. Why is that on here?
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Let me go back for a second. Hang on.
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Now I got that out of the way. Okay, so
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: let's see. So Sunday, October 4th, Tracker comes back. Monday,
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: October 5th on my birthday, FBI, CBS is on. And
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Private Eye is West Coast on the CW. Those are
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: at 8 Eastern. CIA on CBS and Law & Order
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: Toronto are going to be on at 9 o'clock. So
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: is Criminal Intent on the CW. That's Monday, October 5th.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: And then there's a new show called Harlan Coben's Final Twist. Tuesday,
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: October 6th. 8 o'clock is NCIS on CBS. 9 o'clock
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: on CBS is NCIS New York. And 10 p.m. is
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: NCIS Origins. So that's going to be good. The CIS night.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: NCIS night. Wednesday, October 7th. This is my day. I'm excited.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: Um.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: 8 p.m., Chicago Med on NBC. 8.30 p.m., if you're
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: an Abbott Elementary fan, that show kicks off. 9 p.m.,
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Chicago Fire on NBC. 9 p.m., Shark Tank on its
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: regular day, I guess regular time. And Chicago PD on NBC,
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: if you're a fan of that, which I am. Thursday,
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: October 8th, another big night. Or maybe not. Oh, yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: here it is.
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: Let's see. We've got George and Mandy's First Marriage on
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: CBS at 8 o'clock. Eternally Yours on CBS at 8.30.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: 9pm Elsbeth on CBS and Law & Order SVU. Dun dun.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: And then at 10 o'clock is on CBS Cuperentino on
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: CBS and Law & Order. The regular Law & Order
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: on NBC. So I guess they decided to do SVU
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: first and then the other Law and Order. That's kind
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: of weird. And then for Friday, October 9th, we've got
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: Sheriff Country on CBS at 8, Fire Country on CBS
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: at 9, and Boston Blue with Donnie Wahlberg at 9
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: o'clock or 10 o'clock, whichever time zone you are. And
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: that looks like it's it. I mean, those are your
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: main shows. So when does The Voice start? I thought
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: that starts... Oh, Friday, October 23rd is Happy's Place. That's
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: a good show with... What's her name? Reba McIntyre. I
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: love that show. But yeah, I don't see The Voice.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Let me see for you Voice fans, because I know
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: it's coming up. When does The Voice premiere? Because I
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: didn't see it on the list.
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: Um.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Monday, September 21st, so it just wasn't on the list.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: That one comes on, so you can check that out
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: next Monday. All right, let's talk box office. That's our
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: last thing of the night. And then I got a
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: special song to end the show. But let's go and
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: find out what movie did what at the box office. Shocking,
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: we have a brand new number one movie. Spider-Man is
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: not number one anymore. Number 10 is By Any Means.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Did a weekend gross of $ 2. 5 million. Total gross of
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: $ 14 million in two weeks. Number nine, Hope. Did a
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: weekend gross of $ 3. 2 million. Total gross of $ 5. 8 million
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: in its first week. Let's see, number eight, The Uprising.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: Weekend gross of $ 3. 3 million. Total gross of $ 4. 1 in
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: its first week. This movie's supposed to be pretty decent.
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: And I didn't even know they made another one. At
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: number seven, Insidious. Out of the Further, supposed to be
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: the final Insidious movie, did $ 3. 4 million last weekend, $ 61
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: million total gross in four weeks. At number six, Buddy
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: did a weekend gross of $ 3. 6 million, total gross of
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: $ 22 million in three weeks. At number five, Coyote vs.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: Acme did $ 6. 4 million weekend gross, $ 49 million total gross
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: in three weeks. The movie Runner came in at number
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: four in its first week. It did a weekend gross
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: of $ 6. 5 million, $ 7. 9 million total gross. At number three,
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: nine weeks out, The Odyssey did $ 7. 6 million. It has
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: made $ 603 million at the box office so far. That's crazy.
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: Number two, Spider-Man Brand New Day did a weekend gross
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: of $ 8. 4 million. Not shabby for a movie that's been
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: out for seven weeks. Did $ 937 million total gross. It
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: is close to a billion dollars already at the box office.
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: That's crazy. And the movie that took its spot. This
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: is crazy. I did not think that this movie would
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: come in number one. But apparently a lot of people
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: wanted to see it. It is Practical Magic 2 with
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: Sandra Bullock. Came in number one in its first week.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: Weekend gross of $ 30 million. $ 35 million total gross. It's
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Sandra Bullock. Who else is in that? Stockard Channing. Wait.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: I thought she passed away. She didn't. Wow, she's still going.
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: That's crazy. That is awesome. I love her. She played
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: Rizzo on freaking Grease. I love it. and Diane Wiest,
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: so that is crazy, gotta love it, Nicole Kidman is
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: also in the movie, but yeah, it's great, you know,
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: it's always good for a movie to get bumped once
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: in a while, especially when it's been number one for, what,
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: six weeks already, Practical Magic 2, go see it if
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: you liked the first one, I don't know if I
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: ever saw it, I don't know if I saw the
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: first one, I don't think I did, So that's it.
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: Let's see if it can hold that number one spot
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: this week or if a new movie or an old
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: movie will take back the number one spot from them.
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: All right, everybody. I will see everybody next week. Thank
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: you for those who listened to my show last week.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: I hope you guys are all listening again and I
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: hope you spread the word. Send this to, copy the
