- 0:29Happy birthday, Noah! See this? See this shit does nothing.
- 0:39This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it try.
- 0:43This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it try.
- 0:48This little light of rain, I'm gonna let it try. Let it try.
- 0:53Let it. Let it.
- 0:56South. Yeah!
- 0:59Daddy, I'm so excited, but I have one question.
- 1:03What's your question? I'm going to be a pastor or a minister.
- 1:06Good question. I don't know, but it is all in God's hands. Good morning.
- 1:11You're listening to Have Faith, Let It Begin, and it starts right now.
- 1:16Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin.
- 1:20My name is Angel, and it's always a joy to come into your lives,
- 1:24and every single weekday at 6.30 recording time, 7.30 air time,
- 1:29This is Have Faith, Let It Begin, and I want to share something that happened to me yesterday.
- 1:34Nothing major, but enough to throw your day off.
- 1:38I was driving home, and it was just a normal day. And out of nowhere,
- 1:42my passenger side mirror got hit.
- 1:45Damaged. Needs definitely to be repaired.
- 1:48And now that I have to repair it, and you know how that goes, moments usually go.
- 1:53You get a little bit upset for like a few minutes. Frustration kicks in,
- 1:57and you start thinking about the inconvenience, the cost, the time.
- 2:03But this time, I surprised myself.
- 2:06I didn't get upset. I didn't let that moment ruin my day.
- 2:11Instead, I just paused and I said to myself, could have been worse.
- 2:16And I meant it because it's at the end of the day, it's just a mirror and that's fixable.
- 2:21That's replaceable. But some things in life aren't.
- 2:25And that shift in perspective and it changes everything because life is full of interruptions.
- 2:34Unexpected things can happen. that can happen all the time, things we didn't
- 2:39plan for, things we didn't want.
- 2:43And we always have a choice in that moment. We can't let it take over.
- 2:49We can't let it steal our peace.
- 2:51Can't let it define the rest of our day. Or we can pause, take a breath,
- 2:57and remind ourselves that this is frustrating, but it's not everything.
- 3:02It reminds me of James chapter 1 verse 19.
- 3:06Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
- 3:13That word, slow, not reacting right away, not letting emotions take control.
- 3:20And I'm not saying it's easy by any means, because it's not.
- 3:24But yesterday, I saw that just, I saw it all happen. And when I did see it happen, I chose patience.
- 3:33Situation didn't change. The mirror still needs to be fixed.
- 3:37But my peace, that stayed intact.
- 3:40And maybe that's the real lesson today. We can't control everything that happens to us.
- 3:45What we can control is how we respond.
- 3:48So today, if something, someone, or something unexpected comes your way,
- 3:55pause, take a deep breath, and ask yourself, is it worth losing my peace over it?
- 4:02Because more often than not, it's not. Let's pray.
- 4:07Heavenly Father, we thank you for being with us in everyday moments,
- 4:12everyday moments of life.
- 4:14Even in the small frustrations, the unexpected interruptions,
- 4:17you're there. Lord, help us to respond with patience.
- 4:22Help us to pause before we react, to choose peace over anger and to trust that
- 4:29not everything needs to shake us.
- 4:31Give us perspective to see what really matters and remind us that our peace comes from you.
- 4:37The light comes from you.
- 4:40In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
- 4:43So may God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant each and every
- 4:47single one of you peace on earth never forget have faith let it begin.
