- 0:16I'm the spark in the circuit, the pulse in the wire, casting
- 0:20spells in the mainframe set and servers on fire.
- 0:23Beyond dreams in my veins. Got the code in my soul.
- 0:26Taking a wizard. I'm spinning, taking full
- 0:28control. Hello ladies and gentlemen, my
- 0:43name is Brett Keene from GOD TV Radio.
- 0:47I hope you're all having a wonderful blessed day out there.
- 0:51When you get an opportunity, check out my Spotify radio
- 0:54station. I have over 1000 shows and
- 0:57episodes. Yes yes yes good stuff.
- 1:00And also I've got some people who have joined me who are Co
- 1:04hosting like TTOR. He's put up a lot of great
- 1:07content and think you'll enjoy it.
- 1:11And also when you get an opportunity to check out the
- 1:14front of my YouTube channel while you're subscribing,
- 1:16commenting, writing, you can listen to my music for
- 1:20absolutely free I4 albums out and my final album is going to
- 1:24be dropped very soon. As I told many of you when I
- 1:28took a break from YouTube, I ended up getting into my
- 1:32creative side, working on some new literature.
- 1:35As you know, I write books and I decided also to do some music.
- 1:42And before anybody ask, people have asked me, have you
- 1:46incorporated AI with your music? The music is recorded and done
- 1:51by actual human beings. But I did use AI for editing and
- 1:56enhancing the sound of the music and creating such things as
- 2:00effects. So you'll notice when listening
- 2:02to my songs, you'll hear a lot of unusual stuff and weird
- 2:06noises and experimental stuff. That's why my music is in the
- 2:11genre of experimental as well as metal, rock, slow rock, techno,
- 2:16industrial, country music, and I even did a a partial rap album.
- 2:23So, yeah. All right, so let's get down to
- 2:28it. How what is my preference or how
- 2:31do I feel about haters on the Internet?
- 2:35Well, for me, I knew whenever coming to YouTube, as a former
- 2:43atheist, I knew that there were going to be religious people who
- 2:46were not going to be happy with some of my questions.
- 2:50Why did I know this? Because whenever I was a young
- 2:54person and I was involved in going to church and all that and
- 2:59believed I was a Christian back then when I say believed, I was
- 3:02a kid who didn't know everything about the Bible.
- 3:06I didn't know anything about like the history of theology.
- 3:10All's I knew was I was taught Jesus died on the cross for my
- 3:13sins. And you know that there was a
- 3:15bunch of people before him and after him.
- 3:18And I was explained pretty much that story and was told if you
- 3:23believe in him, then you call yourself a Christian and you go
- 3:26with that. But I was ignorant.
- 3:28I was uneducated and everything else and just a kid going along
- 3:32with all the other kids at the time and and what my family
- 3:36believed. I would later on become a a non
- 3:41believer. But during that time whenever I
- 3:43was a kid I noticed when you ask questions about God or religion
- 3:46and all that some people simply don't have any answers.
- 3:50Some people actually sound ridiculous when they're trying
- 3:53to explain or describe the concept of an omniscient,
- 3:57omnipresent, benevolent, or Omni.
- 4:03Sorry. Oof at the tough one.
- 4:07Timeless, faceless entity that created the entire universe.
- 4:13Lot of science and philosophy involved.
- 4:15When trying to describe that something a child wouldn't have
- 4:19been able to handle, a lot of some people got angry.
- 4:23Some people did not enjoy being questioned.
- 4:26Some people felt that you shouldn't question at all.
- 4:30So I figured if I had that kind of experiences in my real life,
- 4:34that coming to the Internet where I was connected to the
- 4:37entire world, I was going to probably get people who got
- 4:42bothered or were nervous or had anxiety about talking about God.
- 4:48And besides, YouTube was totally different than it is now.
- 4:54Like there wasn't a bunch of apologists.
- 4:57There wasn't. There were like some preachers
- 5:00and there were church videos and all that kind of stuff, but
- 5:04Christians and atheists weren't really a thing back then.
- 5:07There was like only a few atheists and I was one of them.
- 5:11That's one of the reasons why I think that I've got so popular,
- 5:15because at the time I was something fresh and new to the
- 5:18world as where there's atheism as a dime a dozen nowadays.
- 5:24So I don't think it was just because I'm a pretty man and
- 5:27super smart and ingenious and all that.
- 5:29With some of the things I come up with, it was that I was
- 5:34pretty much the only competition at the moment.
- 5:36I was the the new fresh product. So I don't beat my chest like a
- 5:42primate and and think that there was something great or special
- 5:46about it. I was just one of the first.
- 5:48Now, if you were to ask a lot of atheists back then when they
- 5:52listened to me, the ones that weren't making videos were just
- 5:56watching and listening. The ones that are honest with
- 5:59themselves, they'll probably tell you that I no matter what
- 6:04time I started YouTube or when I started getting involved, I was
- 6:09always special. There was something brilliant
- 6:12about me that was able to appeal and attract people and all this
- 6:16kind of stuff. Well the reason why I'm pointing
- 6:20all this out is this is where it starts getting into the hatred
- 6:23part. You're going to find religious
- 6:27people who don't like it. And because I was a bit snarky
- 6:30and I come off arrogant sometimes, there were some non
- 6:34believers that were concerned that I was rocking the boat.
- 6:39What I mean by this is imagine that you're you wear the same
- 6:43label as a group and they don't want to be represented as being
- 6:48negative or evil or bad or naughty or immoral or things
- 6:52like that. And you get a person like myself
- 6:55who is a good guy who can relate and identify and reach people
- 7:00but every once in a while has a mood swing and decide to say
- 7:04some pretty nasty shit. And then it makes other people
- 7:10think oh this is the way an atheist is.
- 7:14See unfortunately every time someone from religion or non
- 7:18religion and a group does something, unfortunately it
- 7:23stains the rest of the group. The rest of the group feels like
- 7:27Oh no people are going to think atheists are stupid, Oh no, the
- 7:31Christian said something really dumb.
- 7:33See how dumb Christianity is? There's always this
- 7:37generalization on broad sweep and that was the main thing.
- 7:40A lot of atheists wanted to be known as the intellectual
- 7:43freethinkers, rational, blah blah blah, but I didn't give a
- 7:48fuck about all that nonsense. I didn't care about upholding
- 7:51their religion or image or expectations or any of that
- 7:56shit. I considered myself a particular
- 8:00individual situation. Yes, I wasn't paying anybody's
- 8:06bills and nobody was paying my fucking bills.
- 8:08So I was going to say what the hell I wanted to.
- 8:10And I already realized I was old enough at that point to realize
- 8:14that no matter what I say, no matter what I do, people were
- 8:20always going to bitch and whine. Someone was always going to be
- 8:23upset. Someone was always going to have
- 8:25a sad or or melt like a snowflake.
- 8:28That's just the way it is. But to be super fair, when I
- 8:32originally started out, like in the first couple months, I
- 8:37really didn't think that I was going to reach anybody.
- 8:40I didn't think anybody was going to fucking listen.
- 8:42It was because of the nature of YouTube at the moment.
- 8:45YouTube was about fucking cats and dogs and dolphins making
- 8:50noises and shit. There was no atheist versus
- 8:53religion shit. So I didn't know that.
- 8:57Me getting up there, I didn't even know if I would get beyond
- 9:02a reach where, I mean, what category would I even fit in?
- 9:06Back then, the genres of where you can place your videos were
- 9:11pretty much like automotive. They had different ones in the
- 9:16beginning before Google took over and they added more
- 9:20categories. So it was like you had the
- 9:22choice between people, education.
- 9:26I don't even think fucking science was one of the
- 9:28categories. So you couldn't put anything
- 9:31that your view of science was about.
- 9:34Nobody cared about that. YouTube was a funny little place
- 9:38where you share pictures of your fucking kittens and that was it.
- 9:42And then a guy like me suddenly comes out of the fucking
- 9:45woodwork and starts hammering our religion and the Bible and
- 9:51questioning God and questioning and trying to do illogical
- 9:55fallacies and all this kind of shit.
- 9:58It was like a bomb went off. You know, people are like, what
- 10:03the fuck? Who is this guy?
- 10:05And there were atheists who were too cowardly and too spineless
- 10:08to be able to speak up for themselves or get out there.
- 10:11Even though there were a lot of non believers who were listening
- 10:14and watching, a lot of them were scared.
- 10:17They were afraid or they felt like they'd be persecuted, or
- 10:21they thought it would affect their jobs or their lives and
- 10:24all that. It's me.
- 10:26I didn't give a shit. I was.
- 10:29I've been a. Musician and a writer for a long
- 10:32time. So I strived.
- 10:33I thrived on publicity. It didn't matter if people went
- 10:38off on me and everything. Then it got me attention, you
- 10:41know? And when I say attention, I'm
- 10:43not talking about, oh, kudos and a thumbs up and shit.
- 10:47I'm talking about it got people's attention in the way
- 10:51where they continued to come back, whether they liked me or
- 10:55hated me. They kept returning to my
- 10:57channel and listening. And a lot of people actually
- 11:01learned from that. Now a lot of atheists realized,
- 11:04my goodness, the more controversial and the more rough
- 11:07this guy gets, the more bigger he gets.
- 11:11It was like the incredible hawk. You know, I was going to get
- 11:14hit. I was going to get fired upon.
- 11:17But I just got. Bigger and bigger and fucking
- 11:19greener. Obviously nastier now, I didn't
- 11:25want to. I I didn't have this desire when
- 11:28starting out to deliberately piss people off or bring people
- 11:33to tears. I didn't have this idea that I
- 11:36wanted to go out of my way to embarrass people.
- 11:40What I wanted to do was show that there was some kind of
- 11:43problem with religion. I wanted to show that there was
- 11:46some kind of problem with groups and tribalism.
- 11:50I wanted to show that. The science At that time, my
- 11:56admiration for science blinded me.
- 11:58I refused to look at all the things that were refuted in
- 12:02science. I refused to.
- 12:06Look into the assertions and claims and theories that science
- 12:10had made, especially in the field of evolution.
- 12:13So for a long time there, I actually held on to evolution.
- 12:17I actually was convinced we came from fucking monkeys and the
- 12:20Bible was just some kind of mythological.
- 12:23Story I had not been in a lab at all.
- 12:28I had never been in any kind of like, science industry myself,
- 12:33actually putting chemicals together to see that shit.
- 12:37I just assumed that because it was authority figures on TV
- 12:41saying so and that because books look so neat and colorful and
- 12:45the pictures seem about right and the claims were coming from
- 12:50people who were supposedly intelligent and being paid for
- 12:53their opinions, that it must all be fucking true.
- 12:57And I had the choice between ancient people from thousands of
- 13:01years ago or a bunch of modern day people that were involved in
- 13:05using modern day technology. So in my brain it said fuck
- 13:10these people know more than what the religious people know.
- 13:14I didn't know a great deal about the ancient times and shit like
- 13:18that, nor did I understand all the problems that science had at
- 13:22the time. And most people, I think
- 13:25nowadays realize that there's issues no matter where you look.
- 13:30It's just that if you're pushing agenda or you're wanting to
- 13:36narrate some political view or some kind of a scientific view,
- 13:42and you have a chip on your shoulder against someone else's
- 13:45beliefs or ideas, you're not going to let people in on the
- 13:50surprise or all the bullshit. You're not.
- 13:53There are a lot of people out there, let's just say that they
- 13:56want the world in reality to perform in a certain way and
- 14:01they're not willing to give credence to the other side type
- 14:04of deal. There's a lot of atheists who
- 14:07have this thought process that it's US against them, so they're
- 14:13never going to give who they perceive as the enemy any kind
- 14:16of rope, even if it means they got a lie, even if it means that
- 14:22they won't concede to any actual facts or evidence or truth.
- 14:27And that's sad. And unfortunately there's a lot
- 14:30of Christians like that too, where even if something is
- 14:33disproven, even if something is shown to not.
- 14:37Be quite what it looks like on the surface, or more than meets
- 14:41the eye. People tend to do that because
- 14:44they don't want to look fucking stupid.
- 14:46They want to look like they know what they're talking about.
- 14:48And I get that. So for me, making it through
- 14:53YouTube, I ended up start and receive people who didn't like
- 15:00what I was saying and I actually had Christians as well as
- 15:04atheists who I didn't know in real life who were trying to
- 15:09actually control me. I don't know how many of you out
- 15:12there, if you've got over 1000 subscribers, you probably ran
- 15:15into people like this where they don't know you, but for some
- 15:21reason they think that they can tell you what to do and that
- 15:24they can control how you make videos and how you do your
- 15:27channel. They're going to actually tell
- 15:29you what you're allowed to say. Some people are actually going
- 15:32to tell you that you shouldn't be cussing.
- 15:35You shouldn't be doing this like they're a fucking principal in a
- 15:38school telling the little kids what they can and can't do.
- 15:43And that kind of shit made me laugh and I deliberately
- 15:47aggravated those type of people. I was like, ah, I'll tell you
- 15:50what, why don't you go fuck yourself?
- 15:52I didn't care what they thought. Hey, I never did.
- 15:57Well, when you got that kind of attitude where you're not going
- 16:01to let people push you around or bud you in any kind of way and
- 16:05you're just going to say what the fuck's on your mind and
- 16:08you're going to be straight up with people like that.
- 16:11There's a lot of people who are going to respect that and
- 16:13they're going to think, Oh my goodness, this guy's got fucking
- 16:16balls like an elephant. But other people are going to be
- 16:19like, what a prick, what an asshole.
- 16:22You know, he thinks he's a fucking know it all.
- 16:25He won't listen. The reason you know, he's just
- 16:28going to keep on piling through and all that.
- 16:33So I knew it, I, I knew I was going to pick up some people who
- 16:37weren't fans of my content. Did I know that it was going to
- 16:41end up being to the extremity that it became?
- 16:45Did I know that I would start receiving death threats?
- 16:48Did I know that my hate mail would fucking pile up?
- 16:52Did I know that people were going to spend from morning to
- 16:55night making fucking live streams talking shit about me,
- 16:59or creating video series after video series talk and shit?
- 17:05No, I didn't think people were that fucking stupid.
- 17:08I I thought that some people lacked knowledge in a lot of
- 17:12areas and needed education. But I did not know that people
- 17:16were so fucking stupid and lame in their life that they would
- 17:20make video after video after video mocking either the way you
- 17:24look or the way you sound or the way you talk.
- 17:27I had no fucking clue it was, I could understand like one or two
- 17:31videos, but if somebody just continues to do that shit over
- 17:34and over, then they're obviously retarded.
- 17:37That's that's the only way you can look at it.
- 17:40And I do believe, I'm a strong believer believing that there's
- 17:43a a good retarded and there's a bad retarded.
- 17:46There's the the good retarded where you have people who are
- 17:49loving and kind and unfortunately suffer from a
- 17:52disability. And then there's those people
- 17:54out there that get the nasty version of retarded that
- 17:57basically it's the retarded spectrum where they're just,
- 18:01there's no rational discussion you can have with them to make
- 18:06them coherent. It's like what they say.
- 18:09You can't cure fucking stupid. You just can't.
- 18:15So that's what I ran into. Now, I expected some pushback,
- 18:23but I didn't expect it to become what it was.
- 18:27I didn't expect that Christians would actually go out of their
- 18:30way to make videos where it shows me fucking burning hell
- 18:34and shit. I didn't expect people to like
- 18:37start dropping my information and talking about wanting to
- 18:40kill me over some shit I said on the video.
- 18:44I always, when I, when I look at it from my perspective, I knew
- 18:50that I wasn't forcing anybody to my YouTube channel.
- 18:53I wasn't going out and wrangling people and dragging.
- 18:57Them to my. Fucking channel.
- 18:59I figured if my channel was annoying enough or people didn't
- 19:03like my face or heard my voice and didn't enjoy it, they would
- 19:07simply go fuck off and go make their own videos or go watch
- 19:11somebody that they enjoy. I even would suggest that the
- 19:15people I would say look if you don't enjoy my shit and you need
- 19:19things that are more easier for your slow ass to understand, go
- 19:23watch fucking Barney the purple dinosaur or Pokémon or some shit
- 19:27or My Little Pony. Whatever seems to meet your IQ
- 19:31needs, you know? So I discovered quite quickly as
- 19:40the hate video started to pile up from Christians as well as
- 19:44atheists. And the ones from atheists were
- 19:47definitely far superior than the Christian ones.
- 19:50The Christian ones were like, you're, you're mean, God's going
- 19:54to get you kind of things is where the atheists were more
- 19:57personal. It was about the way you look,
- 19:59the way you sound, the way you talk.
- 20:02You know you're fat. You're stupid, you're blah,
- 20:05blah, blah, that kind of shit. Well, after a while of this
- 20:09going on, I mean, at first I was like, ah, damn, that's sad.
- 20:14It's too bad that these people are going this route and all
- 20:17that. But then I started noticing
- 20:19something fascinating happening. My subscribers were going up
- 20:23really, really fast. My view count was going through
- 20:27the fucking roof and I was getting a lot of traction on
- 20:30algorithm and I'm like, well damn, you know, I even attempted
- 20:36to see what would happen. I experimented, I tried making
- 20:39us. I tried for about a couple
- 20:41months just doing like really, really nice respectful videos to
- 20:46see if I could still get the traction.
- 20:48And sadly, when I did the experiment, it failed.
- 20:53Being nice and decent and you know, wearing kid gloves and all
- 20:58that wasn't getting. When I looked at the algorithm
- 21:02and it did the analytics, it didn't show that it was going.
- 21:05It was just kind of a little crunchy wave.
- 21:10But when I was acting like a Dick, the shit was going off the
- 21:13roof like a Rector scale or something.
- 21:18So I realized, OK, if I want to continue this consistent uphill
- 21:22deal, I'm going to have to remain controversial.
- 21:27I'm going to have to remain doing things a little rough.
- 21:31And I think this is one of the major reasons why you see a lot
- 21:34of this tension on YouTube with atheists and religious people.
- 21:39There are some religious people who are actually have an
- 21:41interest in their analytics. They want to know what the
- 21:44people out there are thinking about their message and how
- 21:47they're handling that. And the atheist, of course, some
- 21:51of these lazy fuckers out here don't want to work a job.
- 21:54So for them, they need to climb in order to get patrons and and
- 22:02get their get monetized and make money.
- 22:05And the only way to do that is climbing.
- 22:08So in order to do that really quick, instead of being
- 22:11intellectuals and rational thinkers, they decided to be
- 22:15controversial cunts that are hateful and abusive in order to
- 22:20get as much attention as possible.
- 22:23But there's a fucking risk to this type of behavior too.
- 22:26I discovered that everybody's discovered it.
- 22:31Some people, you'll probably notice, can get away with
- 22:34fucking murder other people. Unfortunately, like myself, I
- 22:40got so popular that even YouTube fucking noticed me.
- 22:43I wasn't just something hidden in the haystack anymore.
- 22:47So if I got controversial, if I said half the shit to somebody
- 22:51like Logan Paul or one of these fucking Youtubers, like what's
- 22:57his name? Tedda, What is PewDiePie or some
- 23:02shit? I mean PewDiePie is one of these
- 23:05people that are God like on YouTube where they can say any
- 23:08fucking thing they want. Chowder, Ben Shapiro, Candace
- 23:13Owens. On the intellectual side, those
- 23:17folks can say pretty much what they want.
- 23:20And as far as the goofy side, PewDiePie and Shane Dawson and
- 23:25people like that Onessian were able to say the fucking ignorant
- 23:29as shit. However, with people like
- 23:33Onision, things backfired because at some point some
- 23:37people and YouTube started to give a fuck about the hate
- 23:41videos and accusations and then Onision ended up losing
- 23:45everything. Onision tried to use every
- 23:49controversial thing you possibly could.
- 23:51And I think he got to the point where he he believed in his own
- 23:56fucking nonsense. And what I mean is he was
- 24:00basically sucking in his own farts and thinking that he was
- 24:03untouchable, invincible. He would allow any bullshit and
- 24:08if someone hated on him, he would dig in and actually
- 24:12emphasize it to give people the idea that that's actually how he
- 24:17was. He become a character of how
- 24:20people would represent him, if that makes sense.
- 24:23And I noticed that I could see it right off the bat when he
- 24:26started doing it and for a long time there at work.
- 24:32But then he made the mistake of breaking into the character when
- 24:35people started calling him a groomer and saying that he was
- 24:38having young girls at his house and all this.
- 24:41Yet he decided to dig into that and give weight to what the
- 24:46people were claiming because he thought it would actually help
- 24:49his channel, but it didn't. Onessian had unfortunately come
- 24:55to a point in his YouTube career where I guess people were tired
- 25:00of seeing his face. They just, they're sometimes on
- 25:04YouTube, it's people have what is called the Frankenstein
- 25:09moment, and I've seen it countless times.
- 25:11It's where people love you, but then you get so big and so
- 25:15popular that people start getting bored of you.
- 25:19Have you ever seen Rocky three? Most of you probably seen Rocky
- 25:23three. You know how Stallone,
- 25:25everybody's rooting for him and they love him and they and all
- 25:28that. But then in Rocky three, he's,
- 25:31you see him at the beginning going through this like collage
- 25:34of battles and he's kicking the shit out of everybody and he's,
- 25:38you know, defending his title and Mr. T sitting out there
- 25:43fucking getting pissed. He's mad.
- 25:45And he's thinking about how he'd love to see Rocky get his
- 25:48fucking head knocked off. And it's annoying him and it's
- 25:51aggravating him. And he feels as though Rocky's
- 25:54getting all this opportunities and easy shit as where he's down
- 26:00on the bottom, hardly known. And he believes that he deserves
- 26:04to be on top, actually believes he's better than Rocky.
- 26:09And eventually, obviously Rocky and Mr. T get in the ring.
- 26:13And Rocky, unfortunately, in the first fight, gets his ass
- 26:16fucking destroyed because he thinks he's so great.
- 26:20He underestimated Clubber Lane and he gets his fucking head
- 26:23knocked off. Well, that's what happens with
- 26:27some Youtubers. They get really famous and
- 26:30people start getting jealous. They start getting envious.
- 26:34They start asking why is it my fucking YouTube videos going
- 26:37nowhere but this retard who pours cereal all over his head
- 26:40is super famous? Why is that the fucking case?
- 26:44That doesn't make sense. Why is it that I make all these
- 26:47science videos but some fucking idiot can stick his head between
- 26:51his legs and suck farts out of his own asshole and get super
- 26:55famous? It's painful for people who are
- 26:59poor or don't have a lot of things going for them, or people
- 27:02don't love them or give them the attention they deserve, and then
- 27:06they fucking see some loser who's going through the roof and
- 27:11buying new cars and new houses and those absolutely fucking
- 27:15famous. That's hard for people.
- 27:19Some people, some people, they don't covet other people's
- 27:23goods. It's one of the oldest fucking
- 27:26things in the Bible, ladies and gentlemen.
- 27:28Don't covet other people's goods.
- 27:35Well, as time went by, I realized hate and bullshit and
- 27:42the mockery and all that. There was eventually going to be
- 27:46a point I knew even for myself. It's just the way it is.
- 27:50The bigger you get. Eventually you're going to have
- 27:53the the Frankenstein moment where the mob decides that they
- 27:58only want to storm the fucking castle and burn everything down.
- 28:03Everybody who's famous or controversial knows that.
- 28:07I'm sure Howard Stern knew that there was a day where his time
- 28:10would come. I'm sure Steve Colbert, The
- 28:14Amazing Atheist Onision, all the big atheists, all the big
- 28:18religious people who got their fame through controversy and
- 28:23really, really intense type of material knew that, you know,
- 28:29you fight with the sword, you die by the sword.
- 28:31That's the way it is. It's nature, it's the law.
- 28:37So it was no surprise. It was no shock or anything like
- 28:41that. It's no.
- 28:43Let's just say it doesn't surprise Frankenstein when he
- 28:46sees the mob coming. He knows.
- 28:49He knows what he is, he knows what he's done, and he just kind
- 28:54of waits for the door to get kicked in.
- 28:56He can either choose to fight, he can choose to try to talk his
- 29:00way out of it, he can choose to do whatever the fuck he wants.
- 29:04But the mob eventually is going to do what they want to do, and
- 29:08there's no way to really get around that.
- 29:11So as far as I was concerned, I was like a lot of people where I
- 29:14just got this idea that no matter what you say, no matter
- 29:18what you do, the Frankenstein day is coming.
- 29:21That's the way it is. Eventually the bullet reaches
- 29:24you and there will be a day where you're not going to be
- 29:27able to dodge it. That's just natural laws.
- 29:30That's the way it works. You reap what you sow kind of
- 29:33deal. So what was that quote from
- 29:39Batman? You know, the longer you're, the
- 29:43more longer you're a hero. Eventually you become the
- 29:46villain or some shit like that. There's actually a lot of truth
- 29:49to that, even though I didn't articulate the quote properly.
- 29:53I got a headache right now. I'm.
- 29:56I apologize, ladies and gentlemen.
- 30:00So what is my personal feelings on hate videos and attacks?
- 30:05Well, a long time ago I tried to do this thing where I ignored
- 30:11people like that and just kept on doing my thing.
- 30:14But I realized something. I realized that if I ignored
- 30:18people, eventually over 80% of them would stop making content.
- 30:25They'd tried to find somebody that would react to them.
- 30:28See, there's no point in making a hate video if the person isn't
- 30:31going to respond. If you can get a famous person
- 30:34to respond to you and actually show that it bothers them what
- 30:40you're doing that gives the hater basically steam.
- 30:45It makes them feel like oh fuck, I'm so relevant I'm actually
- 30:49getting through. If I humiliate and embarrass
- 30:52this big famous person, then it'll make me fucking famous.
- 30:55That's the math, right? Knock down the king, then I
- 31:00become the king type of concept. I knock down the big dog, I
- 31:04become the big dog. Even kids in high school think
- 31:07that way. If I beat the shit out of the
- 31:09bully, or I take down the big popular guy or woman, then I
- 31:13become the popular motherfucker. It's in every TV movie formula
- 31:17that you've ever seen. So that's one of the reasons why
- 31:21the hate even exists in the first place.
- 31:25Now I thought to myself, I could either do like Onision and jump
- 31:31into the fray and just really give more feed the fuck out of
- 31:36the trolls and shit so they can continue to make content for me
- 31:40and advertise my channel. Or I could ignore them.
- 31:44Well, if you ignore them then eventually a lot of them will
- 31:48fucking stop. And once they stop, then you
- 31:51find yourself in a bracket where, Oh no, I don't have that
- 31:56extra assistance of publicity anymore.
- 31:59That sucks. See, it's, even though it's,
- 32:03it's not nice and it may make people sad to have somebody
- 32:07calling you fucking names, but if those channels are, there's a
- 32:11lot of them and they're willing to talk about you all the time,
- 32:15then your name is being put out there.
- 32:18That's one of the reasons Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath got
- 32:22so popular. When Ozzy first did his shit
- 32:26with Black Sabbath, they were just a bunch of bums trying to
- 32:30survive and just trying to get out there to do music.
- 32:34And when they tried to do the whole normal fucking band thing,
- 32:37it wasn't working for them. People were like, it's just
- 32:41another fucking bar band. But when Ozzy Osbourne started
- 32:45screaming and yelling and pissing on the crowd and
- 32:48everything and fucking yelling obscenities, suddenly people
- 32:53from all over were telling each other, man, did you hear about
- 32:57this crazy motherfucker? His name's Ozzy.
- 33:00He bites the heads off bats and shit.
- 33:02He pisses on the Alamo. He's absolutely out of his
- 33:05fucking mind. How do I go see him?
- 33:08You see what I mean? That's how you did it.
- 33:11That's how Ozzy made it through controversy and milking the shit
- 33:15out of the press and and the media and whatever.
- 33:18Even if what people said were fucking lies, Ozzy wouldn't deny
- 33:21it. He wouldn't even go against it.
- 33:25He just simply, that's sure, whatever my concert's on Friday,
- 33:32he was brilliant. And it was also a lot of his
- 33:35wife's idea too. Just go right with the
- 33:38controversy. That's one of the reasons why
- 33:40Guns and Roses. Guns and Roses isn't that great
- 33:44of a fucking band. They've got some good songs and
- 33:47they got some shit you could get into a fucking Moss pit over.
- 33:51But they weren't so fucking great that they should be get
- 33:54given the credit rating that they have musically, not
- 33:58compared to all the other bands out there, but because Axl Rose
- 34:02was such a dickhead and jumping off the stage and punching
- 34:06people in the fucking eye and all this.
- 34:08It was the reason why Guns N' Roses transcended not only their
- 34:12music, unfortunately. They had their Frankenstein
- 34:16moment, didn't they? They crashed and burned.
- 34:19They finally got to the point where it was so fucking ignorant
- 34:22and crazy that even the rest of the band started killing on each
- 34:26other and they broke up. And that has happened countless
- 34:29times musically. It's also, ladies and gentlemen,
- 34:35the reason why you got Alice Coopers and King Diamonds and
- 34:38Marilyn Manson. Some people realize that the
- 34:41music isn't enough, that they're not unique enough as musicians
- 34:45to just come out there wearing standard, normal clothes.
- 34:49The Lady Gagas of the world realize that if she came out
- 34:53without all that stupid shit all over her fucking head, nobody
- 34:57would take notice. They'd just think she was
- 34:59another good female vocalist or lead, but she comes out with all
- 35:03the stupid shit and all of a sudden she becomes a godless.
- 35:06She becomes God like. Everybody who's got any
- 35:10intelligence whatsoever fucking knows this.
- 35:13This is the laws of the jungle. So for me, I realize that every
- 35:22once in a while you got to feed the trolls.
- 35:25You got to give them a little bit, a little bit of cracker
- 35:27crumbs, a little bit of bread. Make a video where you seem like
- 35:31you're just a tad bit bothered by what they're doing when you
- 35:34actually don't give a fuck 90% of the time.
- 35:37When I made a video response to somebody who was hateful in the
- 35:41past, it didn't really bother me at all.
- 35:45I would turn off my computer. I'd go play fucking Xbox or
- 35:48PlayStation or I'd go Make Love to my wife and shit or go out to
- 35:52the fuck. Park with my kids.
- 35:55Didn't give a fuck. There were some days where the
- 35:58haters were really, really tearing into my ass and I ended
- 36:02up going to the Golden Crown and having a nice hot steak and and
- 36:06just fucking having a day of it. Going out to the movies with my
- 36:09son and I didn't think nothing of it.
- 36:12The minute I turned my computer off, it's like these people
- 36:15didn't even exist. I didn't give a fuck, but I knew
- 36:18that when I woke up the next day after having my steak and having
- 36:22my beautiful fucking day, that my YouTube channel was going to
- 36:27have another 100 fucking people subscribe to it or more.
- 36:32I didn't care, didn't give a shit.
- 36:36So every once in a while, you feed into them, you respond to
- 36:39them. People probably noticed that
- 36:41back then, whenever I was having my confrontation with TJ, I'd
- 36:47make a video where I'd go. Oh yeah?
- 36:49Well, you stick bananas up your ass, you fucking moose.
- 36:57And then I'd go on for weeks without fucking responding to
- 37:00him. And he would make video after
- 37:02video along with his little buddies and shit.
- 37:05They couldn't stop. And then every couple weeks I
- 37:09would respond and say, Oh yeah, but you've got man titties
- 37:13there, Sir. They don't call you blueberry
- 37:16muffin for nothing. And then that would anger the
- 37:20fucking audience and the people and they would continue to do it
- 37:23and I would have more and more and more subscribers.
- 37:27Then they started making videos saying, oh, you only do what you
- 37:30do for views and Subs. I was so tempted to make a video
- 37:35where I was like, oh, you finally figured it out.
- 37:38After all these fucking years on YouTube, you finally realize
- 37:42that you're my bitch and you're doing my fucking work for me.
- 37:45You start to figure that out. Are you see, they wanted to
- 37:49convince themselves in their head that they were better than
- 37:52me. They thought that they
- 37:54understood things more than me. They thought that if they fucked
- 37:59with me enough and shit that it was actually going to cause me
- 38:02to break or all this kind of shit.
- 38:05It didn't. In fact, whenever I watched them
- 38:09and watched people like them trying to mimic them or my try
- 38:13to mimic me, you got to understand from my perspective,
- 38:19I'm looking at 4 absolutely obese fucking monsters sucking
- 38:25beer, doing drugs and going oh, I wasn't impressed.
- 38:33There was nothing in their content that could possibly
- 38:37cause me to get riled up. Well, we can't get to him, so
- 38:41let's fucking insult the shit out of the people that he loves.
- 38:45Let's fucking disrespect his friends because for some reason
- 38:48he's like a turtle. He's got this thick shell.
- 38:51We can't get to him and they tried that.
- 38:55So what I what did I do? I said I made a video going Oh,
- 39:00you shouldn't go after people's family or friends.
- 39:04I mean, that's laws of the jungle too.
- 39:06If you have an issue with someone, you shouldn't do that.
- 39:10But then I take it like personal.
- 39:12Did it cause me to fucking like trip out or anything?
- 39:16No way. Long before those losers came
- 39:20along, I had people tell me my entire family was going to go to
- 39:23hell. I had people tell me that
- 39:26because my daughter was born with a an issue, a medical
- 39:30issue, that it was my fault because I was a fucking atheist.
- 39:35Ladies and gentlemen, I've heard every horrible, terrible thing
- 39:39that a person could possibly be told from people that I don't
- 39:44know, that people that don't know me.
- 39:48So after many years of that shit, when I go to watch a
- 39:51video, there's not a fucking thing that somebody can say that
- 39:56will ever like, move me or make me go, Oh gosh, they really
- 40:01fucked me up this time. They really roasted my ass.
- 40:06In fact, there's been times where some people were clever
- 40:10when they trolled me and I watched their video and actually
- 40:13laughed my fucking ass off. I have told my wife sometimes I
- 40:18this is true, this true story. I said, honey, you are not going
- 40:22to believe what I've been accused of today.
- 40:25And she goes, oh, shit, do you think you should even tell me?
- 40:29And I would say, yeah, it's fucking hilarious.
- 40:32And I would tell her what's up. And I said, and she'd go, oh,
- 40:35goodness. Oh, dear.
- 40:38I'd say I'm going to have 1000 subscribers tomorrow.
- 40:42Everybody's going to want to know the truth.
- 40:44They're going to be waiting with bated breath.
- 40:46What is Brett King going to say? What's he going to do about it?
- 40:50Entire fucking blogs and forums were created in response to
- 40:55this. You know, entire blogs and
- 40:59forums were made by audiences and people due to everything
- 41:05that was thrown at me and shit. And just none of it stopped.
- 41:09None of it really mattered. But some people, the way they
- 41:12tried to roast and the way they did things, I had to give them
- 41:16their kudos. I had to give them their
- 41:17credits. I was like, hey, that's, that's
- 41:19fucking hilarious. That's funny.
- 41:22I like that. We'll go with that.
- 41:24So some people I felt needed a reward.
- 41:27I felt like they need a little bit of attention.
- 41:30You'll notice in a majority of the videos where I responded to
- 41:33some people, I didn't advertise their channel back.
- 41:36I didn't give them back what they were giving me.
- 41:38I was just like some fucking moose out there is running their
- 41:42mouths, some fucking mutton head.
- 41:44But the people that were good that I thought could actually
- 41:47continue to feed the channel, sure, I'd respond to him and be
- 41:51like, yeah, this Dick head over here at this YouTube channel, He
- 41:56says this and that or she says this and that.
- 41:59You should go over and subscribe to him, give him some fucking
- 42:01views and shit so they can continue their fucking clever
- 42:04miniseries that they've made about me.
- 42:10I know some people are going to think, man, that's fucking
- 42:12ignorant. Dude.
- 42:14Brett, you sound like some kind of Vince McMahon character where
- 42:17you just where you putting on a performance or a fucking act
- 42:21like a master over trolls and puppets and shit like that.
- 42:25Well, to be fair, some people don't have.
- 42:29In my mind, when I watch some of these people, I see them as
- 42:33nothing more than nonsense and puppets, broken toys on the
- 42:36shelf. I see them as people who they
- 42:40don't have any autonomy, they're just programmed fucking maggots
- 42:44that are saying stupid shit. I don't care.
- 42:49Now, does this mean that I don't have love or compassion?
- 42:53Does it mean that I don't feel bad for some people?
- 42:56Does it mean that I'm not trying to do what God wants me to do
- 43:00and serve God? Yes.
- 43:03I want to serve God and I want people to find salvation.
- 43:07I want to sow seeds. But on the other hand, you have
- 43:12to understand, being that I wear the armor of God, I understand
- 43:17the nature of humanity. I understand that there are
- 43:20people out there that are wicked and evil and and little bastards
- 43:24of the devil. I get that.
- 43:28But every once in a while I have this bad habit where I like to
- 43:31kick a demon in the face. I like to.
- 43:35I let them act as fucking stupid as they possibly can and
- 43:39sometimes I benefit from it, you know?
- 43:42If you know that that because a demon is causing flames around
- 43:47them it gives you the ability to roast marshmallows, why wouldn't
- 43:51you do it? Not saying that you endorse what
- 43:53the demon is doing or support what the demon is doing, but if
- 43:57it's providing a fire just for the moment so you can roast
- 44:00marshmallows and hot dogs, why not fucking use the fire while
- 44:04it's there? I'm not saying trade evil with
- 44:07evil. I'm saying that when evil is
- 44:10thrown at you or good things, you take the opportunity when
- 44:14it's there. And I don't think that that's an
- 44:17opportunist. I think it's a matter of
- 44:19survival and efficiency. When you know that people are
- 44:23throwing shit at you, you can either play ball or you can just
- 44:27stand there and cry and break like a like a little girl or
- 44:31something. Well, it's not my, it's not how
- 44:34my mind works, it's not how I do shit.
- 44:38Somebody could hate me one day and then find out next week that
- 44:43after talking to me or hanging out with me that oh wow, Brad
- 44:47Keen is really fucking cool. I'd love to hang out with this
- 44:50guy where in the past they may have hated me and had all the
- 44:54wrong ideas about who I truly AM.
- 44:57I've had that happen many times. I've had big time enemies become
- 45:01my best friends, and I've had people who thought they were my
- 45:05best friend turn on me and try to do, you know, do a poke and
- 45:10shit in order to get them some views.
- 45:12And I've also had buddies and shit where they have asked me if
- 45:16they could get into a controversial tangle with me.
- 45:20You guys know that I talked about this a long, long time
- 45:24ago. There was a popular atheist back
- 45:27whenever I was a former atheist, before I had the God moral
- 45:31obligations, there were non believers.
- 45:33He said, Brett, would you be able to give me a shout out?
- 45:38And I would say sure. And I'd give them a shout out
- 45:41and they got some views and they got some subscribers out of it.
- 45:44A shout out means that you make a video and you tell your
- 45:48audience that they should go subscribe to somebody.
- 45:51Now back then that was a good thing and that helped people,
- 45:56but it was like a one time ordeal.
- 45:58Like after a couple weeks it would eventually die down.
- 46:03So atheists had realized that the only way to continue to get
- 46:08to get Subs and views was to continue to have some kind of
- 46:12controversy. So I had a lot of non believers
- 46:15who actually came to me and said, Brett, we should, we
- 46:18should do a pretend shit, you know, kayfabe.
- 46:21We should go back and forth with each other and then we can both
- 46:25blow up in the search engines and get paid by YouTube and get
- 46:29paid by these different companies and shit that want to
- 46:32sponsor. US.
- 46:35Then I was like, well, I don't know.
- 46:38I, I remember thinking to myself, I don't know, because if
- 46:43you get caught doing some shit like that, that's bad News
- 46:46Bears. And I had already gotten to a
- 46:48point where I thought that I was already doing just enough to be
- 46:52able to get to where I need to go.
- 46:54I wasn't in a rush to climb the fucking mountain or anything
- 46:59like that. I've always been a simple man.
- 47:03There's that part of me too, where as long as I have a video
- 47:07game to play, some movies to watch every once in a while, and
- 47:10some tasty, delicious food to shove down my fucking neck, I'm
- 47:14happy. I don't need like, like
- 47:17possession of the entire world or something like that.
- 47:20I just need the, the little things in life that people enjoy
- 47:25the entertainment wise and, and that's it.
- 47:28And I think that's one of the reasons why I've survived as
- 47:30long as I have, because I'm not fucking greedy.
- 47:34I take whatever I'm given and I'll jump on opportunities, but
- 47:39I also will not take like major risk.
- 47:44I'm not going to do something that I think has a high
- 47:47probability of failing or losing.
- 47:50I'm not fucking stupid. I basically, ladies and
- 47:55gentlemen, I don't, I don't gamble unless I believe that
- 47:58it's in my fucking favor. It's stupid if you have a lot of
- 48:02shit to put everything on the fucking table with the
- 48:07possibility of losing it. The only way I would ever put
- 48:12everything on the line is if it was for my wife and kids or
- 48:15anybody else. It's like fucked up.
- 48:19I'm not going to put everything including my soul on the table
- 48:24for some bullshit fame or celebrity ISM and all that.
- 48:28So I, I, I have always had a moral code and there's only so I
- 48:33did have a line drawn in the sand of what I'd be willing and
- 48:37how that far to go as where other non believers at that
- 48:41point of existence, they were willing to go balls to the
- 48:44walls, you know, they were willing to go ass deep.
- 48:48They didn't give a fuck how ignorant it was, how many lies
- 48:51they needed to tell, whatever got them to stardom they were
- 48:57willing to do. And that simply wasn't my deal.
- 49:01I didn't mind having fun. I didn't mind having debates and
- 49:04discussions, but I didn't want to put myself in a position
- 49:08where you had to pretend or act and all that.
- 49:12I mean, my whole fucking thing was being real, being who I am,
- 49:17being Brett Keene, so I wouldn't have made no fucking sense all
- 49:22of a sudden putting on an act and pretending in fronting.
- 49:25Unfortunately, a lot of those atheists that tried to get me to
- 49:29participate in fake controversy or CAFE, but simply didn't work.
- 49:35It was just simply I wasn't interested in.
- 49:38However, there were some people in the past who said, Brett,
- 49:44I'll pay you thousands of dollars if you just simply sit
- 49:47there. And all this because I made it
- 49:50clear I'm not going to fucking fib and makeups yet.
- 49:53And I'm not going to add to this certain kind of narrative that
- 49:57you're going to. But I understand that if my
- 50:01presence is there, if I'm simply there and mouthed off every once
- 50:05in a while, then I'll get views and you'll get views and all
- 50:09that. And I'll also get fucking paid
- 50:11to be on a show. I'm not going to advertise this
- 50:15show. Everybody knows what's being
- 50:17talked about here at that time and shit, things were a little
- 50:21rough on the bills. And also we had gotten we had
- 50:26put in a little bit too money, too much money down on some
- 50:29things that we were committed to and couple $1000 here and there
- 50:35could be really, you know, game changer for me.
- 50:37So I went ahead and I I participated in a little bit of
- 50:42kayfabe a while back, but nothing that would hurt anybody
- 50:47or cause anybody any kind of trouble.
- 50:50I kind of imagined that it was like WWE wrestling where you
- 50:53know the outcome, you know that it's bullshit and you want to
- 50:58believe that the audience is in on it.
- 51:00Unfortunately for me, this wasn't the kind of WWE K fade
- 51:05where the audience had the intelligence to realize that
- 51:08what they were watching was fake.
- 51:10So I still get a lot of these stupid bastards nowadays are
- 51:13like, oh man, was that real or was that fake or you know what
- 51:18was going on there? How come you guys don't do it
- 51:20anymore? Well, it's nice to make money
- 51:26off the ship, but it's not nice to constantly be harassed.
- 51:30I've heard of a a problem with movies where some people are so
- 51:35fucking stupid that somebody plays the role of a villain in a
- 51:39movie suddenly. Like, I'll give you an example
- 51:44of something. One of the most popular shows in
- 51:47the world is Cobra Kai, a spin off series done by The Karate
- 51:52Kid and has Johnny and Larusso and all this shit.
- 51:56Did you guys know that when the original Karate Kid came out,
- 52:00Ralph Macchio was actually friends with the guy who plays
- 52:04Johnny and Karate Kid won? He was the main one of the main
- 52:07villains The Karate Kid had to fight.
- 52:11But behind the scenes they became really, really good
- 52:13friends. They were performing and putting
- 52:16on an act in order to entertain the audience.
- 52:19And Karate Kid turned out to be one of the most classic,
- 52:22greatest fucking movies that have ever existed.
- 52:24It's legendary. It's epic in every way.
- 52:29Unfortunately, the actor who played Johnny, even though he's
- 52:36good friends with Ralph Macchio, the audience wasn't Privy to
- 52:40that. They didn't know that this was
- 52:43kayfabe, that this was fake, that they were paid to pretend.
- 52:48So this kid who played the the bad guy who fought.
- 52:53Larusso in the karate match. Ends up going on and getting
- 52:59dogged by people in real life. Every time somebody sees him
- 53:04they go Johnny, you're a fucking prick, you're a cunt.
- 53:08They couldn't tell the difference between the person
- 53:11and the character in a fucking movie.
- 53:19The guy who played Johnny was one of the nicest people ever
- 53:22and it's one of the reasons why later on, whenever they were
- 53:25both old Ralph Macchio and this guy, I forget how to pronounce
- 53:30his name, who plays Johnny. It was one of the big reasons
- 53:35why they were able to do the spin off, because they were
- 53:38friends, they knew each other and the movie companies knew how
- 53:42to reach them and they were willing to do this crazy ass
- 53:46fucking spin off, which turned out to be excellent.
- 53:49It might even be just as good or just a little bit better than
- 53:53the original Karate Kid. It really turned out fantastic.
- 53:59Well, and that's the problem with kayfabe.
- 54:02A lot of the audience, when they're watching AWWE match,
- 54:07they know that The Rock is talking shit, but his real name
- 54:12is Dwayne Johnson. A lot of people know, but The
- 54:16Undertaker doesn't really have a bunch of mist and dead people
- 54:19coming up out of graves. But there are some people out
- 54:23there that are fucking so immersed and so stupid they
- 54:27don't get it. Vince McMahon knew that.
- 54:31He knew that there were a lot of people, especially back then,
- 54:34that were retarded and that you either had to lie to them and
- 54:38convince them that there was some form of truth to it in
- 54:41order to make it believable or you just, you tell them.
- 54:48You basically you're like a magician who tells them the
- 54:51trick. It was one of them things where
- 54:53it was like the best well known secret.
- 54:57You know, even news reporters were retarded.
- 55:01Is it real? Did he really body slam him?
- 55:05Did Mick Foley really get thrown off the cage by the Undertaker
- 55:0916 feet below into a fucking table?
- 55:17Luckily, not to get too far into WWE, but Triple H comes along,
- 55:23takes over the company because apparently Vince McMahon's a
- 55:25sexual deviant, which didn't surprise me, but Triple H
- 55:30realized he gave the audience more credit than what they were
- 55:34given, being that he was an actual professional wrestler.
- 55:39He. Realized that most people are
- 55:41smart enough to figure it out so might as well just let it hang.
- 55:47So now we see more interviews and more shows where people who
- 55:54are villains and people who are baby faces are now doing shows
- 55:57together and talking to each other.
- 56:00And then the very next day they go and wrestle each other like
- 56:02they hate each other. And we and we go for it.
- 56:06We're fine. They're getting bigger audiences
- 56:08than they ever did. But when it comes to these kind
- 56:12of atheists, they're too stupid. They can't, they can't tell the
- 56:18difference between illusion and reality.
- 56:22They still think I'm some kind of villain.
- 56:24They still think I'm some kind of like a bad guy that you got
- 56:28to hate, that it's actually good to fuck with me or something.
- 56:33The unfortunate for them as they don't realize that I'm basically
- 56:37using them. You know, I let them make their
- 56:40fucking videos and act stupid and shit like that and say what
- 56:44they do. And it's the same way it's
- 56:47always been. Let's go ahead and make me a
- 56:49video, talk about me, and then I'll get Subs and views.
- 56:52I don't give a shit. Bad publicity, good publicity,
- 56:55it's all publicity for me. And when I say using them, I'm
- 56:58not talking about like I'm controlling them or, you know,
- 57:01have some kind of marionette where I'm moving around a
- 57:03puppet. But when you're dealing with
- 57:06idiots and stupid people, sometimes idiots are useful.
- 57:10They can pull you in a direction that you they can help by
- 57:15constantly pushing this narrative, an idea.
- 57:19It'll make people interested in you.
- 57:20And then they'll come to your channel and they'll look at you
- 57:23and go, oh, wow, this Brett Keene's actually pretty cool.
- 57:26He's not the fuck up that this loser was talking about.
- 57:32And that's that oldest trick in the buck, oldest game in the
- 57:36buck. So that's how I feel about it.
- 57:41To me, I don't actually see hate.
- 57:44You might see some videos in the past where I feed the trolls
- 57:49where I get up there and I'm like, oh man, I can't believe
- 57:52how mean that motherfucker was to me.
- 57:54I can't believe the the shit that come out of their mouth.
- 57:57Oh, it was fucking absolutely horrible what they said about
- 58:01me. You know, if you don't do that
- 58:05and you don't do like every once in a while, throw out a reaction
- 58:08video or respond, then they're going to get bored and they
- 58:13won't do it no more for you. So you got to play the game.
- 58:18Don't hate to play. I hate the game, folks.
- 58:20It's the way it is. Yep.
- 58:25All right. Well, with all that being said,
- 58:27that was exciting, very fun and all that.
- 58:32God bless.
