Glovisor welcomes. Virginia Scheuer Virginia Scheuer: Thank you for having me. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: it's a pleasure. Well, Virginia, let's start it off by what specific problem do you solve and who do you help? Virginia Scheuer: Well, I help those that are coaches, consultants, or maybe even they don't even call themselves a coach, but they do it intuitively. They're looking for continuing education on how to deepen their craft to be able to get people to their next level in their life or in their business. The problem I solve, because that was a two part question. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Yeah. Virginia Scheuer: The problem I solve is I help those co coaches get those. clients to the next level. Maybe they've already learned some strategies, but there is nervous system regulation work along with intuitive spiritual work that can go hand in hand with the practices they already use in order to strengthen their ability to get their clients to their next level. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Gotcha. You know, when I first read your bio, I saw Soulpreneurs, but you know, when you read really, really quickly, it was like Soulpreneurs Association. I'm like, wait, they misspelled that. And then I said, no, they didn't misspell it. It's S-O-U-L, Soulpreneurs. I was like, you know, that's great. So I that's exactly Virginia Scheuer: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: the like the first thing that attracted me the most. And I said, I really have to reach out to Virginia and find out more. So could you tell us a bit more how that came about? Virginia Scheuer: Yeah, absolutely. So Soulpreneurs was a word that kind of popped into my heart back in 2015, 16. And it described how I felt as an entrepreneur. It was the idea that the passion and the drive and the ideas weren't something just to make money because a lot of I think that the initial path of maybe an entrepreneur is like I wanna do things on my own and by myself. I don't wanna be I don't want to have a boss and I just wanna make money on my own. I can do whatever it is. Let's just find what that is and go. And there's nothing wrong with that at all. I I I think that that's a lot of people's first step. And for me as a soulpreneur, I found that I really wanted to do something that was led by my inner guidance and led by something that I was really passionate about. And eventually it's like it feels soul led. It feels like something that is greater than me, that I am serving and and being of service to. And so when I caught the name soul preneur, it just really encompassed what I did. And I eventually narrowed it down to those who think outside of the box and inside of their soul. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: I can see that. But was there a defining moment that put you onto this path, the entrepreneur side? And then you said, okay, well, I have something. Now I connected with the Soulpreneur, which I can see that connection, but you're like, I need to bottle it and I need to share it with someone. Virginia Scheuer: Yeah, so back in 2016, I found myself about seven years deep in teaching education. I was a high school teacher. And I was also an actor. I also was doing a one woman show. I started 501c3 nonprofit for Shakespeare in the park. And we provided free Shakespeare in the summertime, my husband and I with a a group of amazing, amazing actors and directors and individuals. and then also I was a massage therapist and health coach. And so doing all of those things at once, plus traveling with my students, doing competitions, speech and debate competitions, I loved it all. I really did. But it was, it became very stressful on me. And I ended up in the emergency room with the ophthalmologist 99% sure that I had an aneurysm. And that was just a huge scare for me. And after it all came out, it came out that I had an autoimmune disease that that could only be solved by the doctors by steroids for the rest of my life. And so I decided to not do that and do an alternative which was reduce my stress. And at the time, entrepreneurship required me to go balls to the wall and go, go, go, go, go. But that was like against what literally my body was telling me. And I knew that there was there could be a better way. I knew that there was a way that I could lead with my heart and my soul and not have to push so much, not have to be overridden with stress so much. And that was how I found my soulpreneur path. was that I had to look deep within myself and find my priorities and what really mattered to me and focus there and and let go and surrender that some of the things that I actually did really love, like my students, like I loved my students so much. but that was part of the letting go of my soulpreneur path that maybe entrepreneurs don't know how to do yet. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: No, we don't. It's tough because they've told us forever and ever that you just have to work harder. You have to work more to become more successful. Virginia Scheuer: Right. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And I remember when I first started my businesses, seven days a week, I didn't vacation for two years. I, you know, this is it, 14, 16 hour days. I loved it because I loved what I was doing. But that does get to a point where you're like, well, it does impact you physically and mentally. but you're thinking, you know what, I'm meeting what people have expected of success, right? This is what we're expected to do. So can you share with us a little bit more of let's just say if we have that mindset, what would be the first step we can take to start thinking differently? Virginia Scheuer: And this is gonna sound so cliche, but it really is the first step is getting quiet and learning how to get quiet with yourself. And that sometimes is a no-go for people. Like some people are gonna say, Well, I can't get quiet because I'm too busy, or I can't get quiet because I'm not a good, you know, meditator, or I don't know how to sit still. But the stillness is actually where we find what I call the soul. And the soul is the great connector between you and what's greater than you. And so many people just look outside of themselves and they maybe go to church every Sunday, or maybe they pray out outside of themselves. But the answers actually come from within. And when we get quiet with ourselves and find our own soul, that great connector of God, source, the God of your understanding, can really tell you where it is that you are expending energy that is in excess or doesn't need to be spent versus in energy where your focus can go and the movement. Flows, like you flow with it. And the things that you thought that you had to let go of all fall into place anyway. Like the the surrender is like, I didn't have to control that. I it actually worked out without me. There's so many things that I have been able to surrender that actually have worked out even better than I could have ever planned it. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: one of the things that I and I'm dying to go back to the association because I want to find out a lot more about that. But before we move on, I I don't want to let this go because I think this is great. You just said sit still and look within. and I totally agree, but in the beginning, it's so difficult to do that, to sit there. So so Virginia Scheuer: It is. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: what do you what do you do? Do you ask the question sort of like I have an issue at work and with my business? I sit there and say, Well, can you help me figure out how to get my salespeople to sell more? Is that how it works? Virginia Scheuer: gosh, no, no, actually. So that is such a great question. The like when you're sitting still, it's not about finding the answers you're looking for at first. It's just allowing your monkey brain, that brain that's inside of you that's going, going, going, to not be there for a hot second. And and when I first started this journey, I thought I was a terrible meditator. I didn't know how they did it, but I was listening to these, actually, I was listening because I was an entrepreneur, right? I'm listening to these millionaires talk about the biggest thing that that changed their life was meditation. And I was like, well, if they're meditating, there's something I'm missing here. And so I would just sit, and the best tool I had was sitting quiet and pretending like. Like just allowing my thoughts to roll by like clouds, and pinning each individual thought to an individual cloud as it rolls by. And then focusing on a space between those clouds. Because with clouds, as they roll by, there's that beautiful blue sky that's behind it. And eventually the space between the clouds gets wider and wider and wider. So that space between is what we want to find because it's not clouding our judgment. All of a sudden, the clarity comes because the blue sky widens in our mind's eye. That is the first step. Because meditation isn't about finding the answers you need in those moments. It's about allowing yourself to come into. A clearer space in your mind. So later on when you're on a walk or later on when you're in a meeting, your mind hasn't been going a million miles a minute since five o'clock in the morning when you woke up or whatever time you wake up. So in the morning or at night, best in the morning, because there's less stuff to clutter it later. So in the morning, when the first thing you can do is just clear the mind, that's the first step. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: So I I love that. That's great. And I love the example that you're giving with the clouds moving through. I've never heard of that. And I'm gonna try it. But Virginia Scheuer: Yeah. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: when you say monkey brain, I mean, that's me. I mean, not only one monkey, I have tons of them just roaming around. And so I think, you know, like let's look behind a curtain a little bit. And I wanna find out, so how does that come through for you when you say that you want a little bit more clarity and these things kind of come through? Is it a voice? Is it an understanding? How does that come through? Virginia Scheuer: It's really a so number one, I just wanna preface and say that I was not a good meditator for like a year or two. It took me a long time to get beyond 30 seconds. I started just trying to get 30 seconds of no thought. Eventually it moved to a minute. And now, even though you can have thought, like the thoughts themselves doesn't make you a bad meditator. It's when you're ruminating on those thoughts when you're l sitting there. Allowing thoughts to go by is a part of the process. And that's a thing that people miss out on. They think that their mind has to be completely clear for 15 minutes, you know, but that's not the case. And so allowing yourself to give your space to do that, since I've been doing it for, you know, a good decade, consistently. Now the the down I call them, I call them downloads because that's what they feel like. And to describe them, that's exactly what it is. It's like not my thought coming in. It's like, how did I think of I I I've just finished the first draft of draft of my book, The Art of Lightness, and these methods, like the wicked wall, came through actually during a meditation. I wasn't thinking of my book. And the word wicked came through in a meditation. And for me, wicked is like cool. Like when I spent time and lived in in England, the kids were saying, that's wicked, you know, like that's cool. And the wicked wall came through as an acronym. And I heard it, I was like, okay, that's an acronym? Okay. And it's the barriers that we're put up against when we're going to our next level. And so W I C K E D Is worry, immobilization, conflict with self or others, our kryptonite, like the things that get in our way all the time, emergencies, like our kids fall at school and we have to go, you know, get them and take them to the doctor or whatever. And then deflection. So that that didn't come from me. Like, how did I think of an acronym called wicked? It just like came through. And so those kinds of aha moments. Are there for us if we allow more silence and then but but silence brings the connection. Silence brings the connection to our higher power. And when we can really listen and be like just with I go on walks. I live in the city, but I love the parks and I go for walks and I just get quiet to listen. We don't do enough of that. And so that's what comes through. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: That blows my mind just to hear the way that you're downloading that information. I can't wait for that for me to get there. And I'll check. Yeah. I'll check back with you in ten years. Virginia Scheuer: You're gonna do it. I can I you're gonna do it. Maybe it'll happen a lot faster for you. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Fingers crossed. So now going back, so you had these moments. Is that how you came up with Soulpreneur Association? Virginia Scheuer: My the birth of Soulpreneurs Association was a evolution. And really it was about the practice that I had with my life and business coaching clients because I knew that there was a better way to align while doing business, a better way of doing business than what we had been taught. And for me it was I had to find a better way than the way that people were telling me online. And it worked. Like it totally worked. And so I built the a six fig figure business just by doing Facebook group work within a year and a half. And so it from the ground up. And so it's it really is a different way of being. And so Soulpreneurs Association was a a love. kind of like a love community for people who needed something and wanted something different than the other options out there. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And what has it turned into today? Virginia Scheuer: It's turned into a beautiful community of software lovers. I know that's a big jump, but it's a community of software lover lovers. They're in my Soul Software and Soulcast Studios. they build businesses and websites and I get to watch people just thrive in their practice, whether it be a nonprofit or a coaching business or a real estate business. they come from all Walks of life. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: So they join your organization or the association and they get the opportunity to sort of bring their business to your infrastructure and set it all out within. Virginia Scheuer: Yes, yes. So the entry point is Soul Software or Soulcast Studios. And they are able get into the software. We have calls twice a week, support calls, and those calls can be coaching calls, they can be software calls, but it's all always about finding more ease, fun, flow, alignment, and abundance in your life and business, no matter what we're talking about. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: you talk about all of the boring stuff, and then you also talk about alignment and all that great stuff all along, all in one. What Virginia Scheuer: Yes. Yes, exactly. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: a balance. would you be able to share with us a client success story of someone who's worked with you in the past? Virginia Scheuer: Yes, I would love to. There is a and and you know, like it's it's sensitive because these clients come from, you know, this is their personal life, but this particular woman has given me permission to tell her story. And that is she is a social worker and she had been she's been a social worker for over 20 years working with the police and the unhoused helping the those that have needs find the psychological help and resources and all of that and she was as a client finding her alignment with her businesses whether it be her her that business or she also had a lavender farm. that she has beautiful flowers there and all of that. But anyway, at the time something of life happened to her. her she actually got in touch with me around ten o'clock one night and was just out of herself, like could not function because her son had had a seizure on the way to Kansas City and he had to be flown to St. Louis Barnes and they found a large tumor on his brain. He had glioblastoma and she was just w we talked her through the lightness method basically and helped her be able to align herself to be able to be the mom and best person she could be for her son. And through this time, her son was able to be in this groundbreaking study with Wash Yu, partnered with the Mayo Clinic. And I helped her through some very tough times within the next year. But all of that to say and and and to put a happy ending on the story, her son is completely free of the tumor now. and it's remarkable all the things that happened. But during that time, it was amazing to see how she was able to move through and talk to others, other people who may have been struggling with those same situations in a way that helps people not just survive but feel free during that time, feel a sense of Love over fear during that time. And the lightness method teaches that. So within the Soulpreneurs Association, I teach the lightness method. And it's basically we're gonna feel what we feel. And in the toughest of times, we have to be able to feel that. We cannot bypass what we feel. But we can go down a darker path and stuff be stuck in those feelings, or we can move. We can move that energy and we can find our alignment with our higher source, with our inner being, with nervous system regulation, all of that. And then from there, what are we going to focus on? Are we going to focus on the recovery? Are we going to focus on Matthew living? Are we going to focus on Matthew maybe dying? So the focus is what matters. And sure, that that feeling and that. scare might might always come back and be there to haunt. But at the same time, we have the choice on a daily basis to find our alignment through feel, find, focus, and then flow. And when we're flowing, we're no longer looking at the fear, but instead enjoying our time with our loved ones. Enjoy she could enjoy her time with Matthew without worrying. How many times are we so Burdened by the fear and by the worry, we can't even enjoy the present moment with who we have right now. That's the work. The work isn't let's let's get Matthew to recovery. That's the work of the doctors and him doing what he needs to do for healing. Our work, what we have control over is how we feel in a certain situation. In a present moment with our loved ones, like right here and now. And that is the success. The success is the present moment work. It's not it, of course, is the success of the living, but also more importantly, we're not gonna fear what's next. We're just gonna live presently with what is. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: great story. Now if someone wanted to work with you today, what would that journey look like? Virginia Scheuer: So, to work with me today, you're welcome to come into my lightness coach school. if you are a coach or you are someone who wants to learn how to help people through deeper conflicts, deeper wounds, deeper walls that you see them hitting, maybe a coach or a consultant feels like they're just hitting the surface and doesn't know what to do. Really, when things happen in life and and they maybe just let that person go and go on to the next client, why not actually get the success story that you're looking for? And that is how that is why I have the lightness coach school. So coaches and consultants can see those success stories more often with their clients. And then you can also enter through the lightness lounge. It's a personal coaching opportunity. I come and and I'm there for you in personal coaching. So there's a few ways, and there's an easy entry point way. It's called the light drops. You can check it out all on my website, Virginia.vision. All three of those ways, entry points to come into what I have to offer are there. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: Is it just intended for people who have experience coaching and assisting others? Or how about people who are just aspiring to becoming a coach? Virginia Scheuer: Yes, it is it's intended for those who already feel like they're intuitively co coaching as well. So if you already feel that you're a coach, that even though you're not named one, you're welcome into the school as well. I have two entry points into the school. So one is a little lighter for those that have been coaching for years. And then I have a little in depth coaching. feature that allows people to do that in-depth work that if you are just coming into coaching and you want to get more one-on-one work with me, that would be the entry point there. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: How is the the training delivered? Virginia Scheuer: The training is delivered via recorded video. And then weekly I come with you and talk to you about whatever, wherever you are in the program. I did it this way so people could didn't have to enter from one, you know, one month to the next. You know, maybe they missed an entry point like a semester or something like that. I decided on keeping this as a evergreen versus a you know, this semester, that semester, just so people can do it in their own time. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: And then after that do they also b become members of the association? Virginia Scheuer: yes. So all Lightness Coach School graduates are a part and lifetime members of the Soulpreneurs Association. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: What would you say is the single most important takeaway that you want our listeners to remember from this conversation? Virginia Scheuer: Maybe something I haven't said yet, and that is feeling is the most important thing to or first step into getting everything that you want in life. If you forget to feel what you feel, the nervous system will always run your life. You don't have any control over it. And so once you understand that. just by naming out how you feel and moving from there into finding your alignment, you're gonna find that you're gonna manifest more and be in a flow state much more in your life. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: advice. Now where can people connect with you online and find out more about your work and continue this conversation? Virginia Scheuer: Yeah, so I am at on Instagram at Virginia.vision. I am also on Facebook Virginia.vision. You can see the the pattern there. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: No, Virginia, thank you so much for joining us. we really appreciate your time and the value you share today. Virginia Scheuer: my gosh, Joe, thank you so much for having me. It's been a pleasure. Joe Abreu - GLOVISOR.com: You're welcome. Thanks everyone for listening. If this episode inspired you, make sure you share it with someone. And don't forget to follow the Glovisor podcast for more conversations that make an impact. Till the next time.
