- 0:12Can you believe it still here after four thousand, nine hundred and twenty one
- 0:21shows. Here we are with show number four thousand, nine hundred and twenty
- 0:24two, This Morning Show with Preston Scott. I'm Preston. That's Grant Allen
- 0:28over there in Studio one A. I'm here in Studio one B. It's
- 0:30Thursday, May fourth. Great to be with you, I know, May
- 0:34the fourth be with you. All Right, we've gotten that out of the
- 0:37way, and I'm thrilled to have with us this morning. One of my
- 0:41favorite guests in the history of this show. He is the chairman of Project
- 0:45twenty one. Horace Cooper. Horace, welcome back, How are you?
- 0:48Good morning? It's great to go on the program. How are you doing
- 0:52well? A little allergy, but other than that, I'm really excited about
- 0:56a lot of the things that are going on. I just made of is
- 1:00it to Washington for the Federalist Society where I did a presentation and getting to
- 1:04see again up close all of Washington when I used to live here and work
- 1:11here. It's really remarkable. You are You sound a little more upbeat than
- 1:17I think a lot of our listeners feel right now. How is it that
- 1:23you feel upbeat. Well, there are a couple of things. You know.
- 1:27I didn't get a chest to come on your program right after the election.
- 1:32Our friends in the media have done a really, really great disservice by
- 1:37how they reported what happened in the midterm election in America. Today, conservatives
- 1:42or the GOP have three times as many state legislatures with supermajorities, which mean,
- 1:51like in Kansas, when the liberal Democrat vetoed the Born Alive Bill,
- 1:57the supermajority in the state legislature overrode that and protected unborn children. The same
- 2:06is true in North Carolina. And as I say, we picked up we
- 2:09Conservatives picked up record numbers of state legislators. We won three statewide races in
- 2:19Nevada on November twenty second. And I'm telling you all of this, including
- 2:23the governorship. I'm telling you all of this to say that the National Journal
- 2:28and the New York Times said that if November twenty second had been a presidential
- 2:35year, Republicans or Conservatives would have gotten two hundred and ninety seven electoral votes.
- 2:43And I'm going to close this point with this, if my beloved Cowboys
- 2:46were favored in the Super Bowls, by twenty one point and we only won
- 2:53by three. When the game ends, you better believe I'm wearing my jersey.
- 2:59What the did was tell us even though we won, even though we're
- 3:05favored, we didn't win because we didn't win as big as we quote should
- 3:10have, and a lot of us have fallen for that. There's some truth
- 3:15to that, though at least in the Senate, isn't there Well, it's
- 3:21some truth to it that in twenty eighteen, President Trump in the mid term
- 3:28gain seats in the United States Senate, and yet because we didn't do so
- 3:32well in the House of Representatives, in fact, we lost complete control.
- 3:38We didn't get credit for the win in the Senate anymore than the Democrats do.
- 3:45I'll give you a more data. A couple million more Americans voted for
- 3:52the GOP nationwide than voted for the Democrats. And thanks to the sense of
- 4:00the electoral college is shifting so that this election twenty twenty four is going to
- 4:06be the first one with the new electoral college that is now favoring the GOP
- 4:15more than the Democrats. The state Supreme Court in North Carolina was up for
- 4:21elections, and a couple new votes came on board the state Supreme Court,
- 4:29and they struck down. Excuse me. They overturned the voter id law that
- 4:38the old Supreme Court had ruled unconstitutional. And here's something even more important.
- 4:43They also overturned the ruling saying that you can't have the legislature decide the congressional
- 4:50seats layout without some sort of DOJ or NAACP review. Me. In twenty
- 5:01twenty four, there's likely going to be a net four seat gain for the
- 5:10GOP. There are a lot of reasons to think that we are poised to
- 5:15push back control of power boat locally but also nationally, reversing some of the
- 5:24most odious policies that we've seen in a generation. The new mayor of Realville.
- 5:30It's the Morning Show with Preston Scott's he chairs Project twenty one, Project
- 5:38twenty one. Friends of the radio program for a long time now, I
- 5:42mean we're going on well over a decade and hardst For those that are new
- 5:46to the show, describe Project twenty one. What is it? What's it
- 5:49all about? So? Project twenty one is a national organization that is promoting
- 5:57how the mainstream media ignore black Americans that happen not to be liberals or happen
- 6:03not to be progressive, and maintains the mindset that in America, your race
- 6:11does not determine your political affiliation or anything really about you. We are made
- 6:17up of moderates and conservatives and even some libertarians, and we promote strong families,
- 6:25we promote personal responsibility, we promote limited government, and we do so
- 6:30because there has always been this element within Black America. And what the mainstream
- 6:38media has told us is that Jesse Jackson and al Naso Sharpton have more of
- 6:45a connection with Black America, and we argue that actually we are in the
- 6:50mainstream of where America is and where blacks are, rather than those groups like
- 6:57those. Yeah, you know, people like me get criticized because we opposed
- 7:01former President Barack Obama, we opposed Kamala Harris, and we're told it's because
- 7:08we're racists and bigots. And my answers know they're incompetent and they're wrong.
- 7:15Obama very competent, but just wrong Kamala Harris, though she's a whole other
- 7:21thing here. Have you ever seen such a level of incompetence? Actually I
- 7:27haven't. I was on Fox News and I was asked this question I said
- 7:32at the time, and I stand by it. She is the most incompetent
- 7:36vice president that we have seen in these United States. Being vice president is
- 7:44not on the job training. Now. When Joe Biden named her to his
- 7:49ticket, very little media coverage. Again you have to sort of dig through
- 7:55and see several polls came out then in twenty twenty, and they showed that
- 8:03she was not well liked by blacks. In fact, more black Americans said
- 8:11they were less likely to vote for Joe Biden with her on the ticket after
- 8:16she was named. It is remarkable, however, that this administration, which
- 8:22has been the most destructive to what I would call the American way, highlights
- 8:28and if an election announcement, how much of an important place of the vice
- 8:35president has played. I put this in the category of and as if they
- 8:41say, if you vote for Joe Biden, you're gonna get Kamala Harris.
- 8:46I put this in the category of from US a threat. But isn't Kamala
- 8:52in fact Joe Biden's insurance policy. I mean, I've always viewed that one
- 8:58of the reasons why they haven't thrown under the bus yet with the Hunter Biden
- 9:01thing, which I still think could happen to make the way for somebody else
- 9:05to run for president, that Kamala being the heir apparent to the White House.
- 9:09If Joe is forced out, if steps down or has an issue that
- 9:13ensures Joe stays on the job. Well, now see that's the irony is
- 9:18you're exactly correct. So why put in your video how essential she has been.
- 9:28The only real role that it seems like she has played is you better
- 9:33not get rid of me because look cool you'll be left with but they're leading
- 9:37with here. Vote for me and you'll get her. It's really in my
- 9:43nub, very much off message. But again here's the more important point.
- 9:50People can agree or disagree, but when you look at the level of incompetence,
- 9:54we've got a press secretary that's grossly incompetent. We named a man,
- 10:00well, I guess we named a woman, Rachel Lunine, to be the
- 10:03deputy a secretary over at HHS, and another man over at the Department of
- 10:11Transportation. What we're seeing is incompetence, like just unbelievable. Mister Mayorcus border
- 10:22control, how is that in any way possible? With his leadership, this
- 10:26president has named people who have been really good at doing one thing, tearing
- 10:33up whatever it is that they are in charge of. Be careful. Those
- 10:39racist bridges might drop on you as you drive by, or that racist bus
- 10:46might take you to the wrong stops. This is santasy land, and yet
- 10:50these are the kinds of people that this president has chosen. When you think
- 10:56of Kamala Harris, you have to ask yourself, and in fact she is
- 11:01an exemplar of blacks or women. Doesn't it therefore follow that we can't have
- 11:07blacks or women in authority. They are setting back the notion that talented people
- 11:16come in all times of groups, because the setup that this president has chosen
- 11:22is to pick the most incompetent, the most failed people possible. Horace,
- 11:28always a pleasure. Glad to have you back on the program. We'll talk
- 11:31again soon. Thank you very much. Thank you all right. Horace Cooper
- 11:35with us this morning from Project twenty one.
