- 0:00Speaker 1: Portion of scripture. We're going to be in John chapter 19,
- 0:02Speaker 1: verse number 30, John 19 and 30. Jesus finished his mission.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Jesus literally finished his mission. A lot of people think
- 0:13Speaker 1: that at the cross, the Lord Jesus was defeated, but
- 0:15Speaker 1: we see otherwise through the scriptures. Amen. So John chapter 19,
- 0:21Speaker 1: verse number 30 is our morning Devo verse of the day. Amen.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Try to join us here at 5.30 AM Eastern Standard Time.
- 0:27Speaker 1: If you want to do a live, with us. Amen.
- 0:30Speaker 1: If not, there's always a replay and there's always the
- 0:32Speaker 1: podcast and it's always a way to subscribe to our
- 0:36Speaker 1: YouTube page and our podcast as well. So Father, I
- 0:39Speaker 1: thank you for today, this moment, this moment that you
- 0:43Speaker 1: created right now, this space of time that you allow
- 0:46Speaker 1: us to get into your word so we could focus
- 0:49Speaker 1: on the perfecter and finisher of our faith. Thank you,
- 0:51Speaker 1: Lord God, for the power of your word, the transformational
- 0:55Speaker 1: power and inspirational power of your holy word I pray,
- 0:59Speaker 1: Lord God, a hedge of protection over myself, my wife,
- 1:03Speaker 1: our family, our children, our grandchildren, our whole entire bloodline.
- 1:07Speaker 1: And Lord God, that you would see to it that
- 1:09Speaker 1: every single one individual in our families and every single
- 1:13Speaker 1: individual that's watching or listening right now, Lord God, will
- 1:17Speaker 1: experience the move of your Holy Spirit by way of
- 1:21Speaker 1: your guiding protection and your leading to all truth. I
- 1:25Speaker 1: pray that by faith, knowing that you are able to
- 1:27Speaker 1: do that, your great God You're an awesome God. You're
- 1:31Speaker 1: wonderful in all your ways. You're mighty in all your ways.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You are El Elyon, the God Almighty. I pray, Lord God,
- 1:37Speaker 1: for our queen angels, ministering angels, warring angels, to do
- 1:42Speaker 1: what you command them to do by the power of
- 1:45Speaker 1: your word and by the authority of your scriptures. I pray,
- 1:48Speaker 1: Lord God, that these angels will encamp around all those
- 1:51Speaker 1: who love you, Lord Jesus, according to your word and
- 1:54Speaker 1: your promise. So I pray faith forward. I pray, Lord God,
- 1:57Speaker 1: that this will be a reminder of your finished work
- 2:01Speaker 1: and that we will walk in your finished work and
- 2:03Speaker 1: benefit from your finished work. In the powerful name of
- 2:05Speaker 1: Jesus and everyone who agrees, we say amen to the amen.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So let's go for it. Let's get into it. Don't
- 2:12Speaker 1: waste no time, amen, with this whole audio issue. It's
- 2:17Speaker 1: all good. Amen. It happens. It's one of those things
- 2:20Speaker 1: that you have to just deal with it, right? Deal
- 2:22Speaker 1: with it. John chapter 19 says, verse number 30. And
- 2:28Speaker 1: you have to read the chapter for yourself to get
- 2:31Speaker 1: the full context. We're going to key in on verse 30.
- 2:34Speaker 1: When Jesus had received the sour wine, right after that,
- 2:39Speaker 1: he said, it is finished. And bowing his head, he
- 2:44Speaker 1: yielded up his spirit. Bowing his head, he yielded up
- 2:49Speaker 1: his spirit. That's a sign of finality, like it's done.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I did what I did. I did what I came
- 2:59Speaker 1: to do, Jesus is saying. It is finished. And bowing
- 3:02Speaker 1: his head, he yielded up his spirit. Brother Ricky, God bless.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Good morning. Welcome back to the Morning Devo, my bro
- 3:08Speaker 1: and my friend. So what do you think about that verse?
- 3:12Speaker 1: And you have to read before so you can get
- 3:15Speaker 1: the context of what this sour wine is all about. Amen.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Don't think it's just there by random. God is purposeful
- 3:24Speaker 1: in his word. Amen. And he does what he does
- 3:28Speaker 1: and says what he says he does. Amen. And his
- 3:31Speaker 1: word is true always, all the time. So what do
- 3:35Speaker 1: you think? Is that powerful? Amen. It is finished. A
- 3:40Speaker 1: lot of people think, like I said earlier, that this
- 3:43Speaker 1: is a sign of defeat. That Jesus on the cross
- 3:46Speaker 1: was a sign of his defeat. And we don't buy
- 3:50Speaker 1: into that. There's no way. Jesus is not defeated. You
- 3:54Speaker 1: know who's defeated? The enemy is defeated. Amen? So Jesus
- 3:59Speaker 1: came into this world, right, with a mission. The Father
- 4:03Speaker 1: sent the Son. The Father didn't create the Son. The
- 4:06Speaker 1: Son wasn't born. I know people take that scripture out
- 4:09Speaker 1: of context, the firstborn of all creation. And they say,
- 4:13Speaker 1: you see, he's a created being. No, the Father sent him, right?
- 4:18Speaker 1: A son was sent. A son was given. Jesus came
- 4:24Speaker 1: into this world with a mission. He didn't come simply
- 4:27Speaker 1: to teach, right? He came to do more than just
- 4:33Speaker 1: teach good morals. He came to do more than just
- 4:39Speaker 1: perform miracles, and he did miracles, right? Eyewitness miracles. Of course,
- 4:46Speaker 1: he became a religious leader because people at the time
- 4:48Speaker 1: wanted religion. Remember, the people had the Torah. In the
- 4:53Speaker 1: New Testament, Jesus was the walking word. Amen? So they
- 4:57Speaker 1: were looking and watching and observing the living word, perform signs, miracles,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and wonders, forgive sin. Only God could forgive sin, right?
- 5:06Speaker 1: He was giving the opportunity for people to have eternal life.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Only God could give eternal life, right? So that's why
- 5:12Speaker 1: we believe Jesus is God because he did these things
- 5:15Speaker 1: in the authority and the power of his own authority
- 5:18Speaker 1: in the form of a man named Jesus. He came
- 5:21Speaker 1: to accomplish something not to just become a religious leader.
- 5:24Speaker 1: He came to finish a mission, accomplish a mission that
- 5:29Speaker 1: the work that his father gave him, he wanted to
- 5:32Speaker 1: complete that. So he came to accomplish the work his
- 5:37Speaker 1: father sent him to do, right? So in the scripture,
- 5:41Speaker 1: when we read, it is finished, Jesus never said, I'm finished,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm done, I'm defeated. He said, it is finished. The
- 5:49Speaker 1: mission is complete. The sin debt is paid. So at
- 5:54Speaker 1: the cross, before he got there, he was being rejected.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Before he got there, he was suffering from pain in
- 6:05Speaker 1: his physical body. Before he got there, he started feeling
- 6:10Speaker 1: the weight of the sin of the world upon himself.
- 6:15Speaker 1: That's why Jesus declared, it is finished. He carried the
- 6:19Speaker 1: weight of sin, yet he himself did not sin. He
- 6:21Speaker 1: paid the sin debts that we owed Yet he himself
- 6:25Speaker 1: did not sin. That's a weight upon him, right? So
- 6:30Speaker 1: when he went to the cross, when he said, it
- 6:32Speaker 1: is finished, all of that was taken care of. All
- 6:35Speaker 1: the heavy lifting was handled by him, right? There's no
- 6:39Speaker 1: way someone could look. Well, there is a way because
- 6:42Speaker 1: people have told me, your Lord is defeated. Look at
- 6:45Speaker 1: the cross. And then some people are so arrogant. They said,
- 6:48Speaker 1: why would God kill himself? If Jesus is God, what,
- 6:51Speaker 1: did he commit suicide? not understanding the message of the cross, right?
- 6:58Speaker 1: The power of the message of the cross, the power
- 7:01Speaker 1: of the gospel. Some people are ashamed of this. And
- 7:04Speaker 1: the Bible literally says, do not be ashamed of the
- 7:06Speaker 1: gospel for it is power unto salvation, right? Those three words,
- 7:13Speaker 1: it is finished. We're not, ladies and gentlemen, we're not
- 7:19Speaker 1: a message or a statement of defeat, right? They were
- 7:23Speaker 1: a declaration of completion. Right? The I am said, it
- 7:31Speaker 1: is finished. It's done. Finito. Tetelestai. Right? So those words
- 7:38Speaker 1: weren't saying that, hey, Jesus, you're done. You got defeated.
- 7:45Speaker 1: These people put you on the cross and it's over.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Because if you keep on reading through the gospels, you
- 7:50Speaker 1: realize and you know I don't know by now. Let
- 7:53Speaker 1: me just let you know that Jesus didn't stay on
- 7:57Speaker 1: that cross. He was buried in a borrowed tomb and
- 8:00Speaker 1: then three days rose again, defeating sin and death, right?
- 8:08Speaker 1: Got up out of that grave, appeared to hundreds of
- 8:12Speaker 1: people at the same time, the Bible says, went back
- 8:15Speaker 1: to the disciples, showed the doubting Thomas' disciple. Thomas said, Listen,
- 8:22Speaker 1: unless you let me feel the punctures, feel your side
- 8:26Speaker 1: and all that, I'm not going to believe. And, you know,
- 8:29Speaker 1: there's people like that. They need to see concrete evidence.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So Jesus, in his mercy, showed up and said, James,
- 8:36Speaker 1: go ahead and do what you got to do. Or Thomas. Sorry,
- 8:40Speaker 1: not James. Go ahead, Thomas, do what you got to do.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Feel the side, feel the wounds. And then what did
- 8:46Speaker 1: Thomas do? The disciples said, my Lord and my God. Because, wow, right?
- 8:52Speaker 1: Jesus finished what we can never even imagine to finish
- 8:58Speaker 1: on our own. How are we going to pay a
- 9:02Speaker 1: sin debt? We couldn't. The Lord knows that. So he
- 9:06Speaker 1: had to send himself in the form of a man
- 9:09Speaker 1: to be the perfect example. Perfect example. No one could
- 9:13Speaker 1: come up with an allegation against the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Go ahead and try it. You're going to be trying
- 9:18Speaker 1: for all eternity. Jesus did not sin in deed, word,
- 9:23Speaker 1: any which way. Even in his anger, he did not
- 9:26Speaker 1: sin when he flipped over the tables. The price for
- 9:30Speaker 1: sin is beyond our economical thought process. There's no price
- 9:37Speaker 1: of that. I mean, I guess the Lord knows how
- 9:41Speaker 1: much it would cost, but that number is probably not
- 9:45Speaker 1: even in our mindset. We can't even grasp the amount
- 9:49Speaker 1: of debt that that that will take to be paid for.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So the price for sin was paid because the sacrifice
- 9:57Speaker 1: was made. say that again the price for sin was
- 10:02Speaker 1: paid because the sacrifice was made the mission accomplished right
- 10:09Speaker 1: i'm a big mission impossible fan and from the old
- 10:13Speaker 1: school ones all the way to the new ones and
- 10:15Speaker 1: every time there was a mission on the table although
- 10:18Speaker 1: it didn't go perfectly According to man, right? Man, we're
- 10:22Speaker 1: not going to do things perfect. But they tried to
- 10:25Speaker 1: complete that mission. And sometimes it got ugly and sloppy.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Jesus shows up, the God-man, with a mission. And he
- 10:34Speaker 1: being God in the flesh still got ugly and sloppy.
- 10:37Speaker 1: That cross wasn't a polished-off situation. That cross wasn't a
- 10:41Speaker 1: walk in the park. That cross wasn't just a whipping and,
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know, they spit at him and all that. It
- 10:50Speaker 1: was more than that. It was a victorious, triumphant way
- 10:55Speaker 1: that the Lord chose to defeat sin and death and
- 10:59Speaker 1: pay the sin debt. And his mission was complete, right? Yes,
- 11:04Speaker 1: it did get ugly. I don't know why I'm hearing
- 11:06Speaker 1: preachers trying to polish up and trying to make excuses
- 11:10Speaker 1: for the ugliness of sin and the ugliness of the cross.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It's that we know the beauty of Behind it now,
- 11:17Speaker 1: maybe that's what it is. I just answered my own question.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Thank you, Holy Spirit. Maybe it's because of the beauty,
- 11:22Speaker 1: because we know he didn't stay in that grave. We
- 11:25Speaker 1: know that he suffered all of that for us. We
- 11:28Speaker 1: know that was prophesied. Prophesied. Thank you, Brother Ricky. Prophesied
- 11:35Speaker 1: that he would do what he said he would do,
- 11:38Speaker 1: that he would complete this. So sometimes we get discouraged, right,
- 11:43Speaker 1: if you're real, because we look at everything that's still
- 11:48Speaker 1: unfinished in our own lives, right? Start looking around and say, man,
- 11:53Speaker 1: when is this going to happen? When is this going
- 11:56Speaker 1: to get done in my life, right? Sometimes we get
- 11:59Speaker 1: that discouragement. We see the prayers, we pray, and sometimes
- 12:03Speaker 1: those prayers don't get answered right away. And you start
- 12:06Speaker 1: asking yourself, why haven't these prayers been answered? What's going
- 12:09Speaker 1: on here? And the goals that you set out, you
- 12:13Speaker 1: haven't reached them yet, I can raise my hand, amen,
- 12:16Speaker 1: holding on to God's promises over this ministry. And I'm,
- 12:20Speaker 1: and I, I'm seeing glimpses every now and then I
- 12:23Speaker 1: see the glimpses of God's promises over this ministry coming
- 12:26Speaker 1: to fruition, but there's so much more. Amen. But it's,
- 12:30Speaker 1: it's one of those things that people don't get the vision.
- 12:34Speaker 1: They don't, they look at what you're doing, what the
- 12:37Speaker 1: Lord gave you. And they say, oh, that's cool. And
- 12:40Speaker 1: then they step back and just watch instead of coming
- 12:43Speaker 1: alongside you and me and, Just go ahead and reach
- 12:48Speaker 1: people with the gospel message. But it's okay, right? If
- 12:53Speaker 1: God tells you to do something, go ahead and do it.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Even if it's a little amount of people that believe
- 13:00Speaker 1: in what God told you to do, as long as
- 13:02Speaker 1: God and you are on the same page, you have
- 13:06Speaker 1: the majority vote. Amen? But you see the goals that
- 13:09Speaker 1: haven't been reached yet and the areas of your life
- 13:12Speaker 1: that you still need to grow. Sometimes that will get discouraging.
- 13:16Speaker 1: But this is the thing, the cross that Jesus willfully
- 13:21Speaker 1: put himself on, because remember, Jesus laid down his life.
- 13:26Speaker 1: He wasn't killed or murdered. He laid down his life,
- 13:29Speaker 1: the Bible says. Technically, he was killed and murdered, but
- 13:35Speaker 1: that's because he humbled himself to allow that to happen.
- 13:39Speaker 1: We got to get that in our minds. The cross
- 13:41Speaker 1: reminds us that our salvation, right? The finished work of God,
- 13:46Speaker 1: we're benefiting off the finished work of God. Our salvation
- 13:49Speaker 1: does not depend on us completing a perfect life. Think
- 13:55Speaker 1: about it. We already know that. I don't have to
- 13:59Speaker 1: really argue the fact that we're flawed individuals, right? And
- 14:07Speaker 1: God's perfecting our flaws. And this is just a snapshot
- 14:10Speaker 1: of his perfection. Salvation, right, is the promise of eternal life.
- 14:15Speaker 1: And when we are saved, we have the Holy Spirit,
- 14:17Speaker 1: the same spirit that raised Jesus from the grave. Amen.
- 14:21Speaker 1: The same spirit that Jesus gave up to the Father.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. His spirit is holy. So when Jesus said
- 14:31Speaker 1: he bowed his head and then he gave his spirit,
- 14:33Speaker 1: he gave Holy Spirit. Amen. Not an evil spirit, not
- 14:37Speaker 1: a defeated spirit, not a worldly spirit. No, a holy,
- 14:43Speaker 1: victorious spirit. So we don't have to live a completely
- 14:49Speaker 1: perfect life, but we have the completely perfect one living
- 14:52Speaker 1: inside of us by way of Holy Spirit. If you're
- 14:55Speaker 1: born again, if you decided to put your hope, faith,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, if you're doing
- 15:01Speaker 1: everything else but that, putting your hope, faith, and trust
- 15:05Speaker 1: in the Lord, then you're literally making things up and
- 15:08Speaker 1: you're living on your own and you're still under the
- 15:11Speaker 1: wrath of God. That's the truth for the gospel. The
- 15:14Speaker 1: wrath of God is still upon you. If you reject
- 15:17Speaker 1: the gospel message, people say, well, that's not fair. Well,
- 15:21Speaker 1: who said the gospel should be fair? The gospel is
- 15:24Speaker 1: a message of love, grace, mercy, and it brings every
- 15:28Speaker 1: single benefit that heaven offers when you do receive the Lord.
- 15:32Speaker 1: But when we reject that message, right? So who's being unfair?
- 15:37Speaker 1: If by you or people rejecting the gospel, the unfairness
- 15:42Speaker 1: you're talking about is because you're not getting humbled enough,
- 15:49Speaker 1: or you're not facing the reality of sin, and you're
- 15:55Speaker 1: unfairly saying no to the Lord who could forgive you
- 15:59Speaker 1: for every single one of those sins. He knows we're
- 16:01Speaker 1: not perfect. That's why he came. The perfect one came
- 16:05Speaker 1: to his imperfect people to let them know, listen, you
- 16:09Speaker 1: could be made right again with the Lord. You could
- 16:11Speaker 1: be reconciled back to the Father. You could be made perfect,
- 16:15Speaker 1: but it's only through the Lord Jesus Christ. So, Jesus
- 16:21Speaker 1: completed the work that was necessary for us to be
- 16:26Speaker 1: reconciled to God. Right? A rescue mission, a message of reconciliation,
- 16:32Speaker 1: a mission to kill sin and death once and for all,
- 16:36Speaker 1: a mission to grant us eternal life, a mission that
- 16:40Speaker 1: Jesus was sent from the Father to accomplish. It is finished. So,
- 16:46Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that our journey is over, right? Doesn't
- 16:51Speaker 1: mean that at all. It means we can live from
- 16:53Speaker 1: a place of victory rather than trying, you know, religiously
- 17:00Speaker 1: trying to earn God's love or trying to earn God's
- 17:04Speaker 1: favor or trying to just make things up that are
- 17:09Speaker 1: not even in the scripture just to be accepted by
- 17:11Speaker 1: certain groups. None of that is necessary, right? We're not
- 17:16Speaker 1: here to fit into the world. We're here to show
- 17:19Speaker 1: the world that although we're different, we're here to make
- 17:23Speaker 1: an impact in this world for the glory of God.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Not to just fit in, right? And just fall into
- 17:30Speaker 1: the line of the world system. Wouldn't that be the
- 17:33Speaker 1: easiest thing to do? Actually, it is very easy to
- 17:35Speaker 1: do to fall in line in this world system because
- 17:38Speaker 1: it gratifies the flesh and doesn't do anything for the
- 17:41Speaker 1: spirit of God, right? It gratifies the flesh, lustful desires,
- 17:46Speaker 1: you know, lust of the eyes, private life, all that
- 17:49Speaker 1: is fueled by this world system. You could really get
- 17:55Speaker 1: your stuff together according to the world system easily just
- 18:00Speaker 1: by doing what everybody else is doing, right? There are
- 18:04Speaker 1: very few who are chosen that follow the path of righteousness.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Many are called though, right? Whosoever calls on the name
- 18:12Speaker 1: of the Lord, right? Many are called, few are chosen
- 18:17Speaker 1: But the thing is that I think about that verse,
- 18:21Speaker 1: many are called, few are chosen. I had to make
- 18:24Speaker 1: a choice. You have to make a choice. Jesus called
- 18:27Speaker 1: us out of darkness into his marvelous light. So what
- 18:32Speaker 1: is our excuse now? Choose Jesus daily. Amen? Oh, but
- 18:37Speaker 1: you don't understand what I'm going through? Yeah, probably don't
- 18:40Speaker 1: understand what you're going through, but I can relate probably
- 18:42Speaker 1: of what you're going through. Amen? Amen. That doesn't mean
- 18:47Speaker 1: your journey is over, though. When you find out and realize,
- 18:51Speaker 1: I'm not perfect. I keep on making errors in life.
- 18:55Speaker 1: The journey is not over. It means that you could
- 18:58Speaker 1: live from a victorious perspective of what Jesus did on
- 19:03Speaker 1: that cross, realizing that he did it for you. He
- 19:06Speaker 1: did it for me. So therefore, we could walk in
- 19:09Speaker 1: a place of victory. So don't allow Starting from today,
- 19:15Speaker 1: if you've been struggling in this area of discouragement or
- 19:18Speaker 1: I'm not worthy enough, my prayers are not being answered,
- 19:21Speaker 1: who's helping me, nobody's helping, no. Today, don't allow those thoughts,
- 19:27Speaker 1: that discouragement, that unfinished circumstance in your life, whatever those
- 19:32Speaker 1: things are, whatever that thing is, to make you question
- 19:35Speaker 1: God's finished work. God's finished work is done once for all.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Once for all. Like he literally had you in his
- 19:44Speaker 1: mind when he was on that cross. Right? I know.
- 19:48Speaker 1: He didn't know me. I know. I understand. It doesn't
- 19:52Speaker 1: make sense to our finite thinking. But God is infinite
- 19:59Speaker 1: in his thinking. His ways, the Bible says, are not
- 20:03Speaker 1: like our ways. His thoughts are not like our thoughts.
- 20:07Speaker 1: He's high and exalted and lifted up. Right? So, God
- 20:12Speaker 1: is the uber other, the supreme being. Amen? Yet, he
- 20:17Speaker 1: had us all in his mind when he did that
- 20:22Speaker 1: ultimate sacrifice on the cross. Once for all, Jesus is
- 20:25Speaker 1: not going to go back on the cross. I know
- 20:28Speaker 1: I've heard preachers say, every time you sin, you're putting
- 20:31Speaker 1: Jesus right back on the cross. Every time you sin,
- 20:34Speaker 1: you're slapping Jesus in the face. Every time... No. No.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Doesn't say that nowhere in the scriptures. Amen. Every time
- 20:43Speaker 1: we sin, we are practicing a method of separation from God,
- 20:50Speaker 1: but we're not putting him back on the cross. Nobody
- 20:54Speaker 1: forced Jesus on that cross. He laid down his life
- 20:56Speaker 1: for the brethren. He laid down his life for his creation. Amen.
- 21:01Speaker 1: So we have to get that. And I have to
- 21:02Speaker 1: remind myself all that time of that too. Brother John,
- 21:06Speaker 1: God bless. Right now you are loved by the almighty. Yes.
- 21:10Speaker 1: We are loved by the almighty El Elyon. Thank you,
- 21:13Speaker 1: Brother John. Jesus finished his mission. Right? So to us,
- 21:21Speaker 1: it would have been impossible, but for God, there's nothing
- 21:23Speaker 1: that's impossible. Everything is possible for God. For us, we
- 21:27Speaker 1: would have been looking at the situation and be like, yeah,
- 21:31Speaker 1: there's a debt that needs to be paid. It's called sin.
- 21:34Speaker 1: We would have been in council meetings. We would have
- 21:36Speaker 1: been in leadership meetings. We would have been in all
- 21:37Speaker 1: kinds of meetings trying to figure out How are we
- 21:40Speaker 1: going to pay this debt? And no one would have
- 21:43Speaker 1: been able to answer that. No one would have been
- 21:46Speaker 1: able to come up with a solution for the sin debt.
- 21:50Speaker 1: And God knew that. None of the prophets, right? None
- 21:53Speaker 1: of the people that were sent before Jesus showed up
- 21:57Speaker 1: on the scene. None of creation could have settled the
- 22:02Speaker 1: sin debt. So he said, well, Jesus raised his hand
- 22:05Speaker 1: and said, I'll go. I'm the only one that can
- 22:07Speaker 1: do it. I'm going to form myself into the image
- 22:11Speaker 1: of man and come down and, you know, do what
- 22:13Speaker 1: I have to do. Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice.
- 22:18Speaker 1: That's why he's the King of kings and Lord of lords.
- 22:20Speaker 1: No one could do what Jesus accomplished. So listen, when
- 22:24Speaker 1: he made that it is finished statement on that cross,
- 22:27Speaker 1: that was a declaration of the conquering king. That was
- 22:35Speaker 1: a declaration of victory, the victorious one. It wasn't a
- 22:40Speaker 1: declaration of defeat. I know the enemy's been telling that
- 22:45Speaker 1: to people. Oh, that Jesus on the cross, that means
- 22:48Speaker 1: I beat him. No. Lies from the devil. It smells
- 22:54Speaker 1: like smoke. It's from hell. No. It is finished means
- 22:59Speaker 1: that the mission that Jesus was sent to do was completed.
- 23:03Speaker 1: And there's victory in that. Now, your mission is if
- 23:09Speaker 1: you choose to accept it, right? Your mission and my mission,
- 23:14Speaker 1: if we choose to accept it, is to trust in
- 23:18Speaker 1: the one who finished the mission. That's the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Trust him, follow him, and live out what he called
- 23:27Speaker 1: you and I to do on this earth. And a
- 23:32Speaker 1: lot of times when you share the mission and vision
- 23:35Speaker 1: that God gave you and gave me, People are going
- 23:38Speaker 1: to mock you, doubt you. They're going to feel sorry sometimes.
- 23:42Speaker 1: I don't know why. But follow, trust, believe in the
- 23:47Speaker 1: one who finished the mission. Now, this is if you
- 23:50Speaker 1: choose to accept it, right? Because we all know that
- 23:54Speaker 1: God doesn't force us to do anything that we don't
- 23:57Speaker 1: want to do. But if you're receiving what God is
- 24:02Speaker 1: speaking right now, you're going to be prompted and reminded
- 24:07Speaker 1: of the mission and vision that he gave you. So
- 24:09Speaker 1: go ahead and do it. I don't care if there's
- 24:12Speaker 1: two people that agree with you or a thousand people
- 24:15Speaker 1: that agree with you or just you and God. Go
- 24:17Speaker 1: ahead and do what he said to do and watch
- 24:19Speaker 1: what happens. So the cross wasn't Jesus's failure. It was
- 24:23Speaker 1: the completion of his mission. Amen. Hope you were inspired today.
- 24:28Speaker 1: John chapter 19. Read the whole chapter for yourself. We
- 24:32Speaker 1: camped on a verse number 30. And from just one verse,
- 24:35Speaker 1: you could get all of that. There's way more you
- 24:36Speaker 1: could get and way more notes. God is good at
- 24:40Speaker 1: his word. And he's good to us and he's good
- 24:42Speaker 1: to you. Amen. So I'm out of time. But let
- 24:44Speaker 1: me just send you off with a blessing. God bless
- 24:46Speaker 1: you all. God keep you all. And remember always, remember this,
- 24:52Speaker 1: that God is good. Peace.
