Speaker 1: So the discussions took place yesterday. They went it to
• 0:03
Speaker 1: yesterday evening. They want very much to make a deal.
• 0:08
Speaker 1: We'd like to make a deal too. We're going to
• 0:10
Speaker 1: get together today by probably phone, because it's very hard
• 0:15
Speaker 1: to find a country. It's very hard for them to
• 0:18
Speaker 1: get out, I guess. But we'll at some point very
• 0:21
Speaker 1: soon meet. We're doing a five day period. We'll see
• 0:24
Speaker 1: how that goes, and if it goes well, we're gonna
• 0:26
Speaker 1: end up with settling this.
• 0:28
Speaker 2: Otherwise we just keep bombing our little hearts out.
• 0:31
Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
• 0:34
Speaker 4: Good Tuesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:37
Speaker 4: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got one very
• 0:39
Speaker 4: big story for you. TSA lines we're out of control,
• 0:43
Speaker 4: but Donald Trump is stepping in, sending ice agents to
• 0:47
Speaker 4: hit major airports and suddenly the wait times are falling.
• 0:52
Speaker 4: So why is the media so angry about this? And
• 0:55
Speaker 4: how long could it continue?
• 0:57
  Speaker 3: On?
• 0:58
Speaker 4: Democrats said they're going to hold the America hostage no
• 1:01
Speaker 4: matter what. I've got the details on it. It's the
• 1:04
Speaker 4: forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now. Story
• 1:08
Speaker 4: number one for weeks Americans have been dealing with a
• 1:11
Speaker 4: travel nightmare. We're talking about two, three, four and even
• 1:16
Speaker 4: five hour wait times at airports, four hour lines, and
• 1:20
Speaker 4: international hubs like Houston and entire terminals completely backed up
• 1:25
Speaker 4: with people outside waiting for hours, families missing flights, loved
• 1:31
Speaker 4: ones missing funerals, and now unable to reach family dealing
• 1:34
Speaker 4: with medical emergencies. At one point this weekend at Bush's Airport,
• 1:40
Speaker 4: line stretched more than four hours. Only a fraction of
• 1:43
Speaker 4: the checkpoints were even open. And the question, obviously is why.
• 1:48
Speaker 4: Because Democrats in Washington are holding the Department of Home
• 1:53
Speaker 4: in Security funding hostage even though you paid your taxes.
• 1:58
Speaker 4: That is leaving the TEA the ESA agents working without pay,
• 2:03
Speaker 4: calling out in massive numbers and just flat out quitting
• 2:07
Speaker 4: because they've got to find another job where they can
• 2:09
Speaker 4: depend on the paycheck actually showing up. In fact, we
• 2:14
Speaker 4: now know that more than three thousand, four hundred TSA
• 2:17
Speaker 4: agents have called out nationwide, and well over four hundred
• 2:21
Speaker 4: agents have already turned in their resignation saying they've moved on.
• 2:27
  Speaker 4: Now that's not a small problem. That's a system breakdown
• 2:30
Speaker 4: in real time, all done by design by the Democrats
• 2:34
Speaker 4: to continue to hold America hostage, which brings us to
• 2:39
Speaker 4: President Donald Trump. He just told Republicans in Congress to
• 2:43
Speaker 4: refuse any DHS deal with the Democrats without voter ID
• 2:50
Speaker 4: and citizenship being attached. That's playing hardball. The President speaking
• 2:57
Speaker 4: in Memphis, tennesseee it at a Make America Safe Again event,
• 3:02
Speaker 4: he had this to say to the American people about
• 3:05
Speaker 4: what they're experiencing at the airports.
• 3:07
Speaker 1: So if disruptions at major airports nationwide last weekend, I'm
• 3:12
Speaker 1: again demanding the Democrats in Congress immediately end their disgraceful
• 3:16
Speaker 1: shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security and the restore
• 3:20
Speaker 1: the full funding for airport security.
• 3:23
  Speaker 2: And the TSA.
• 3:24
Speaker 1: They are holding it up because they want to take
• 3:27
Speaker 1: care of legal immigrants coming into our country.
• 3:31
Speaker 2: They want to take care of.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: Criminals that are in sanctuary cities.
• 3:35
Speaker 2: They want to take care.
• 3:36
Speaker 1: Of transgender for everybody, literally the utilization of our children,
• 3:42
Speaker 1: men in women's sports. But what they don't want to
• 3:45
Speaker 1: do is give us anything to do with citizenship for
• 3:50
Speaker 1: voting or voter ID. Can you imagine we're the only
• 3:54
Speaker 1: country that doesn't do voter ida.
• 3:56
Speaker 2: Every country does voter ID.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: You know, brought to my attention today that we're the
• 4:03
Speaker 1: only country that does mail in voting. Mail in voting
• 4:07
Speaker 1: means mail and cheating. I call it mail and cheating,
• 4:10
Speaker 1: and we got to do something about it all. And
• 4:12
Speaker 1: it's part of homeland security. And I'm suggesting strongly to
• 4:16
Speaker 1: the Republican Party, don't make any deal on anything. The
• 4:20
Speaker 1: most important thing we can have is what's called the
• 4:23
Speaker 1: Save America Act. Don't make any deal on anything unless
• 4:27
Speaker 1: you include voter ID and you have to be a
• 4:31
Speaker 1: citizen to vote. You have to show citizenship to vote,
• 4:34
Speaker 1: very easy to do. It's very insulting when they say
• 4:37
Speaker 1: people can't do it because they don't know how to
• 4:39
Speaker 1: do it. Anybody that can't do it, I think it's
• 4:42
Speaker 1: a very insulting thing to say. The Democrats are fully
• 4:46
Speaker 1: to blame with the struggle.
• 4:47
Speaker 4: Of as he said there, Democrats are fully to blame
• 4:52
Speaker 4: for what we're witnessing right now now. President Trump also
• 4:55
Speaker 4: ordered ICE agents deploy the major airports across the country,
• 5:00
Speaker 4: and the message from his administration was crystal clear. President
• 5:04
Speaker 4: Trump is using every tool available to help American travelers,
• 5:10
Speaker 4: while politicians are arguing Trump is putting people on the
• 5:14
Speaker 4: ground and what is ICE doing and why does it matter. Well, no,
• 5:18
Speaker 4: let's be very clear about that, because the media will
• 5:21
Speaker 4: not explain it honestly to you at all. ICE agents
• 5:25
Speaker 4: are not replacing TSA. They are managing crowds, checking IDs,
• 5:32
Speaker 4: controlling lines, and securing exits. And that matters because it
• 5:38
Speaker 4: frees up the TSA agents who are still showing up
• 5:42
Speaker 4: without pay to focus on screening, which is the real bottleneck.
• 5:47
Speaker 4: This is about efficiency, This is about stabilizing a crisis fast.
• 5:53
Speaker 4: The President understands how important air travel is to our economy.
• 5:58
Speaker 4: The Democrats are holding billions of dollars each and every
• 6:02
Speaker 4: hour hostage when it comes to work that is not
• 6:05
Speaker 4: being done, meetings that are not taking place, and people
• 6:09
Speaker 4: that cannot travel all because of the Democratic Party putting
• 6:13
Speaker 4: illegal immigrants first and the fact that they want to
• 6:17
Speaker 4: hold Americans hostage. Now, this is where it's getting interesting,
• 6:22
Speaker 4: and this is what the headlines won't emphasize enough. After
• 6:26
Speaker 4: days of total chaos, airports like Houston, Minneapolis, Chicago and
• 6:31
Speaker 4: others are already seeing wait times drop significantly in some terminals,
• 6:36
Speaker 4: from hours down to minutes in certain checkpoints. That's not
• 6:40
Speaker 4: an accident. That's what happens when leadership shows up. But
• 6:45
Speaker 4: let's be honest, this is still a real crisis. This
• 6:48
Speaker 4: is a band aid, and now it's going to get
• 6:51
Speaker 4: even worse as Democrats are doing everything they can to
• 6:55
Speaker 4: try to make the problem go back to hours and
• 6:58
Speaker 4: hours of wait times. I'm not going to sugarcoat this
• 7:01
Speaker 4: because you deserve the truth. This is not fixed yet
• 7:05
Speaker 4: at all. Across the country. Some airports are still seeing
• 7:09
Speaker 4: multi hour delays. Absentee rates are hitting forty plus percent
• 7:14
Speaker 4: in some locations. Staffing is still stretched very thin. And
• 7:19
Speaker 4: here's the key difference. Before President Trump got involved with ICE,
• 7:24
Speaker 4: it was chaos and no response. Now, at least there's
• 7:27
Speaker 4: a plan, action and early results. Trump is calling out
• 7:32
Speaker 4: the real problem. And President Trump is not mincing words
• 7:36
Speaker 4: about who caused this. He said it directly, saying, quote,
• 7:39
Speaker 4: Democrats are endangering the USA by holding back the money
• 7:45
Speaker 4: for the TSA. That is the fight. This isn't just
• 7:49
Speaker 4: about airport lines. This is about DHS funding. It's now
• 7:54
Speaker 4: about the Save Act, It's about border security, it's about
• 7:58
Speaker 4: election integrity. And Trump is saying we are not going
• 8:02
Speaker 4: back to business as usual, we are not funding the
• 8:05
Speaker 4: system without fixing it. This is true leadership under pressure,
• 8:10
Speaker 4: and let me translate it for the liberals this way.
• 8:13
Speaker 4: When the system started breaking, when the Americans were stuck
• 8:17
Speaker 4: in lines, when TSA agents were overwhelmed, Trump didn't wait
• 8:22
Speaker 4: for permission. He moved resources immediately when they were already
• 8:27
Speaker 4: funding ICE agents, and they put them where the crisis
• 8:31
Speaker 4: was happening. That is the decisive leadership that so many
• 8:34
Speaker 4: Americans voted for. So here's the bottom line right now. Yes,
• 8:40
Speaker 4: this crisis is very real. Yes it was caused by
• 8:43
Speaker 4: a funding fight in Washington, but also the Trump administration
• 8:48
Speaker 4: is actively responding. ICE deployment is already helping relieve the pressure.
• 8:54
Speaker 4: And this is the first real step towards stabilizing a
• 8:56
Speaker 4: system that clearly was out of control. And the message
• 9:00
Speaker 4: from the White House couldn't be clear. They say this,
• 9:04
Speaker 4: we will use every tool we have to protect Americans
• 9:08
Speaker 4: and keep this country moving. And what are the Democrats saying.
• 9:12
Speaker 4: They're not talking, they're not trying to work on a deal.
• 9:16
Speaker 4: They wanted this to happen, and more importantly, they wanted
• 9:19
Speaker 4: to hold you hostage in a ligne for hours on
• 9:22
Speaker 4: in as the President said earlier today as he was
• 9:26
Speaker 4: getting on Air Force One He made it clear the
• 9:29
Speaker 4: TSA agents are heroes and something has to be done differently.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Er longer you had a ten thousand dollar bonus.
• 9:37
Speaker 3: Sorry, last year you gave a ten thousand dollar bonus
• 9:39
Speaker 3: because UK workers who kept showing up the work during
• 9:41
Speaker 3: the touchdowns. Will you do that again?
• 9:43
Speaker 1: Well, it could happen. It's amazing. There's such people that
• 9:46
Speaker 1: are really really loyal and great and it's not easy
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: for them.
• 9:51
Speaker 2: And this is all closed by the Democrats.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: I said, just so you know, all this money was approved,
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: everything was approved.
• 9:58
Speaker 2: This is done. The Democrat went.
• 10:00
Speaker 1: In and they want to have radical left lunatics come
• 10:03
Speaker 1: into our country. They want to have drug dealers, they
• 10:05
Speaker 1: want to have murderers come into our country. They want
• 10:08
Speaker 1: to have open borders, and we're not letting it happen.
• 10:11
Speaker 2: That's what this is all about.
• 10:12
Speaker 1: They don't want voter ID, they don't want proof of citizenship,
• 10:16
Speaker 1: they don't want mail in ballots.
• 10:19
Speaker 2: They're so corrupted. What they want. The only thing they
• 10:22
Speaker 2: want is mail in ballots.
• 10:24
Speaker 1: So we also added, as you know, into.
• 10:28
Speaker 2: The Save America Act.
• 10:29
Speaker 1: It it's called Save America's not the Save agg But
• 10:33
Speaker 1: we added no transgender mutilization.
• 10:35
Speaker 2: Of our children and no men in women's sports.
• 10:39
Speaker 4: President Trump not losing focus on the issues, over and
• 10:43
Speaker 4: over again saying the same thing, and also saying the
• 10:46
Speaker 4: TSA agents that are showing up that have been harmed
• 10:48
Speaker 4: by the Democrats, they're heroes and it could happen again.
• 10:52
Speaker 4: Another ten thousand dollars bonus for those men and women
• 10:55
Speaker 4: who show up to do a job even though the
• 10:58
Speaker 4: Democrats refuse to pay them.
