- 0:15Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:19Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. Today is Fred Day, August first,
- 0:31Speaker 1: two thousand, twenty five. Let me double check that. August first,
- 0:36Speaker 1: two thy twenty five. My goodness. Welcome to August, gentlemen.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I'm going to share something with you today that you
- 0:49Speaker 1: are going to remember for all future August firsts Okay, okay.
- 0:57Speaker 1: There's a man, a Texas man, Brandon Booth, was arrested
- 1:05Speaker 1: after a more than two minute struggle with a Sigeville
- 1:09Speaker 1: police officer. He faces multiple felony charges, including robbery, aggravated
- 1:16Speaker 1: assault against a public servant, unauthorized use of a vehicle,
- 1:21Speaker 1: evading arrest, and two counts of unlawful possession of a
- 1:25Speaker 1: firearm by a felon. But that's not why he's about
- 1:30Speaker 1: to go viral. Oh no, he's about to go viral
- 1:34Speaker 1: because of his gang affiliation bill Alone.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Booth had a warrant for a parole violation for unlawful
- 1:42Speaker 2: possession of a firearm by felon. According to Sigeville police,
- 1:46Speaker 2: who say he's a documented gang member.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I just know that he's a Peckerwood.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Peckerwood, and that's his gang.
- 1:53Speaker 1: That's his gang afiliation.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Is he's a Peckerwood.
- 2:05Speaker 1: All right, So let's go to the reference materials for
- 2:11Speaker 1: those that are curious Peckerwoods are real. Currently, the term
- 2:21Speaker 1: peckerwood is used to refer both to white youths with
- 2:25Speaker 1: loose ties to white power gangs in and out of prison.
- 2:28Speaker 1: This is according to Urban Dictionary, as well as to
- 2:32Speaker 1: actual skinhead gangs who have incorporated Peckerwood into their name.
- 2:37Speaker 1: The various Peckerwood gangs appear to be concentrated largely in California,
- 2:42Speaker 1: where they participate in the methamphetamine trade and have ties
- 2:45Speaker 1: to other white supremacist gangs such as the Nazi Lowriders.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Peckerwood gang members have been charged with a variety of crimes,
- 2:56Speaker 1: ranging from dealing drugs to attempted murder. Many gang members
- 2:59Speaker 1: sport peer would wood tattoos to display their affiliations.
- 3:04Speaker 5: Can you imagine what that gang sign looks like when
- 3:06Speaker 5: you're like throwing out the gang signs?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yes, I can. I think it's more of a gesture.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And for those for those that need a little more
- 3:18Speaker 1: historical context for Peckerwood's, Southern Blacks used peckerwood as a
- 3:23Speaker 1: derogatory term to describe poor and or rural Southern whites.
- 3:27Speaker 1: A Dictionary of African Americans Slang explains that the term
- 3:29Speaker 1: peckerwood had its origins in the word woodpecker, black saw
- 3:33Speaker 1: blackbirds and a symbol of themselves, and the contrasting redheaded
- 3:36Speaker 1: woodpecker as representation of whites. Eventually, the word woodpecker was
- 3:39Speaker 1: inverted to become peckerwood in an attempt to hide the
- 3:41Speaker 1: meaning an origin of the term. Later, peckerwood came to
- 3:44Speaker 1: be used in the North as well as a general
- 3:46Speaker 1: description for white people. Then, at some point peckerwood involve
- 3:50Speaker 1: peckerwood evolved into a term used to describe white prison inmates.
- 3:54Speaker 1: In prison, slaying, a peckerwood or wood was a white
- 3:58Speaker 1: inmate who was willing to fight to avoid being raped
- 4:01Speaker 1: or robbed. Over time, white inmates appropriated the term peckerwood
- 4:05Speaker 1: and made it a source of pride. I'd like to
- 4:08Speaker 1: point out how very wrong you all are. I don't
- 4:12Speaker 1: think any mama looks down on her children and says,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm so proud to have all these peckerwoods in my family.
- 4:20Speaker 1: But then again, I don't. I don't know, mister boots mama.
- 4:25Speaker 1: So let's go back a little bit on this story.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Paral authorities say the Peckerwoods is a white supremacist gang.
- 4:33Speaker 2: The video highlights how dangerous the chase was, but police
- 4:37Speaker 2: say it could have been worse, as two handguns and
- 4:40Speaker 2: ammunition were found inside the stolen pickup.
- 4:43Speaker 1: We're just happy that the officer's okay.
- 4:48Speaker 6: Once again.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Booth had a warrant for a parole violation for unlawful
- 4:52Speaker 2: possession of a firearm by felon, according to Sigeville police,
- 4:57Speaker 2: who say he's a documented gang member.
- 4:59Speaker 7: I just know that he's a Peckerwood.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Peckerwood and that's his gang.
- 5:03Speaker 1: That's his gang of physication. Is he's a Peckerwood Federal authorities.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I can't imagine the amount of glee in the heart
- 5:11Speaker 1: of Cigaville's public information officer right there saying, finally my
- 5:15Speaker 1: moment on TV is about to happen. I'm going to
- 5:19Speaker 1: draw the curtain back on the Peckerwood gang. Is Is
- 5:25Speaker 1: this the worst gang name of all time?
- 5:30Speaker 7: I'm gonna say, are you drawing the curtain back on
- 5:33Speaker 7: the Peckerwood.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Or the Foreskin whatever? Thank you?
- 5:38Speaker 7: Right?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Maybe that's their maybe that's their baby brother gang, the
- 5:45Speaker 1: for Skinners.
- 5:47Speaker 7: That's why it's like being a wee blow.
- 5:53Speaker 1: If your gang name is the for Skinners or the Peckerwoods,
- 5:56Speaker 1: your weep high. So once again I asked a very
- 6:02Speaker 1: important question, is Pecker would the worst gang name of
- 6:06Speaker 1: all time?
- 6:10Speaker 7: Yes?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Okay, because let's go down the let's go and let's
- 6:16Speaker 1: go down the gang names that we're all aware of. Okay,
- 6:19Speaker 1: let me see me get me what. Okay, so we're
- 6:23Speaker 1: all aware of the Crips, the bloods, MS, thirteen, Latin Kings,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the Chinese Triads. I don't really know if those exist.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I just don't that they're in movies. So I assume
- 6:36Speaker 1: the Yakuza, east Side Locos. Thank you, thank you, Jerry.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I think that's the extent of gang names that I'm
- 6:48Speaker 1: really familiar with, unless you would just include the generic
- 6:51Speaker 1: Cosonostra Italian Mafia. I don't know if they have any
- 6:54Speaker 1: cool straight street names like the Broken Noses or the
- 6:57Speaker 1: or the Tony two names is.
- 7:02Speaker 7: But this is where Google disciples. Latin Kings, Latin.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Kings, Ye have got them. So that's where Google comes
- 7:07Speaker 1: in hand off for all of us. Olds. Some other
- 7:11Speaker 1: East Asian gangs in the United States, the Bamboo Union
- 7:14Speaker 1: that just sounds racist. The fourteen K Triad, the Bamboo Union,
- 7:20Speaker 1: Big Circle Gang, Black Dragons, Flying Dragons, Flying Dragons. Wasn't
- 7:25Speaker 1: that the gang that was in Tropic Thunder. Weren't they
- 7:30Speaker 1: the ones that kidnapped Simple Jack? Oh no wait, I
- 7:37Speaker 1: think that was the Yeah, that was the Flaming Dragons.
- 7:39Speaker 7: My bad.
- 7:40Speaker 1: No disrespect to the Flying Dragons. I don't want to
- 7:44Speaker 1: bringing about their ire. So yeah, Peckerwood, Yeah, I mean,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I don't know, does that really instill fear into the
- 7:55Speaker 1: hearts of your rival gang members?
- 7:58Speaker 7: If someone yelled that out? And if you're in a
- 8:00Speaker 7: club and someone just yelled out Peckerlwood, would you be frightened?
- 8:08Speaker 7: People yells out like rolling thirty Crips' I'm leaving. Yeah, Peckerwood,
- 8:13Speaker 7: I'm like, that sounds good, buddy.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I feel like it's just a group of kids that
- 8:17Speaker 1: are hanging out at the Dairy Queen after hours.
- 8:23Speaker 5: It's like that scene in Guardians of the Galaxy where
- 8:26Speaker 5: Rockets giving that guy crap.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He's like, your name's Taser Face. Oh yeah, that's true.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah. You're thinking it's supposed to be this intimidating thing,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and I don't really think it is.
- 8:41Speaker 7: Yep.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I don't know any other worst gang names off the
- 8:43Speaker 1: top of my head, but Peckwick's pretty bad.
- 8:46Speaker 6: Uh.
- 8:46Speaker 1: If you have suggestions, we'll take them. Treehouse on Era
- 8:48Speaker 1: at gmail dot com. Uh, but I did bring up
- 8:52Speaker 1: a list of other gang there's some really interesting ones
- 8:56Speaker 1: going down on Wikipedia. You got thirty one Gang Almighty,
- 8:59Speaker 1: Black Piece Own Nation, Almighty, Vice Lord, Nation for Corners, Hustlers,
- 9:02Speaker 1: Bailey Boys, Black Disciples, Black Girl of Family, Black Mafia,
- 9:05Speaker 1: Black Mafia Family, Black Spades, Bloods, and then all the
- 9:08Speaker 1: offshoots of the Bloods, the Chambers Brothers, Columbia Point Dogs,
- 9:11Speaker 1: the Council, the Crips, all the offshoots of that DC Blacks,
- 9:14Speaker 1: the Decepticons. Ooh, that's a good gang name. I feel
- 9:17Speaker 1: like you might get sued by, you know, a movie
- 9:20Speaker 1: studio or something.
- 9:21Speaker 7: But the Autobots, right, I.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Don't know if that's cool enough for them, but yeah,
- 9:29Speaker 1: uh after the Decepticons, the Errol Flends. Okay, come on, okay, okay,
- 9:37Speaker 1: now we're bordering.
- 9:39Speaker 7: That's an all white gang too, right now.

- 11:00Speaker 1: not new to us inside the Treehouse, but it does
- 11:03Speaker 1: seem to be making headlines around the country. Why single
- 11:08Speaker 1: men aren't approaching women in person anymore? Guys say, I
- 11:13Speaker 1: am so sick of this. In today's digital dating world,
- 11:19Speaker 1: where single people would often rather meet a potential suitor online.
- 11:22Speaker 1: One of the main complaints, especially from women, is that
- 11:26Speaker 1: people rarely approach someone they're interested in anymore. Trey, You've
- 11:31Speaker 1: talked about this quite a bit on the show because
- 11:35Speaker 1: working in the bar industry for as long as you have,
- 11:38Speaker 1: this is something that you've seen you've seen this trend
- 11:41Speaker 1: where guys just don't go up to women anymore. And
- 11:44Speaker 1: it's not necessarily for any one particular reason, is it.
- 11:53Speaker 6: I would say, if there was a prevailing reason, it's because, uh,
- 12:00Speaker 6: for a while, you know, if you approached a woman
- 12:03Speaker 6: and said the wrong thing, you know, you were basically
- 12:05Speaker 6: accused of being creepy, of doing something untowards and just
- 12:10Speaker 6: you know what a lot of people considered a base
- 12:12Speaker 6: basic social and interaction became something that you know, you
- 12:17Speaker 6: would hear people say they're being threatened or they feel
- 12:19Speaker 6: threatened or this or that. So if people are like,
- 12:21Speaker 6: you know what, I'm kind of the don't disturb my piece. Fine,
- 12:26Speaker 6: you know that's uh, we'll just leave you alone.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And what you're describing, those are things that happened just
- 12:32Speaker 1: in the moment at the time, in person, without the
- 12:35Speaker 1: added element, which is also I think part of it
- 12:38Speaker 1: being shamed online for it. Like if you approach someone like, hey,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I just want to say, can I buy you a drink?
- 12:44Speaker 1: And then five minutes later you're going viral on Twitter
- 12:48Speaker 1: and social media because you had the audacity to ask
- 12:52Speaker 1: someone to buy them a drink and they took offense
- 12:54Speaker 1: to it or whatever reason that they think you absolutely
- 12:57Speaker 1: should never have done that, and now you're on black
- 13:00Speaker 1: and thinking, all I did, thank you? She was cute.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Thinks well, I'm glad she showed her dragonness to me
- 13:07Speaker 1: immediately as opposed to waiting a year or so into
- 13:10Speaker 1: a potential relationship. But I think that social media aspect
- 13:13Speaker 1: of brutal online shaming plays into it. One North Carolina model, though,
- 13:19Speaker 1: has her version. She says she hasn't been on a
- 13:21Speaker 1: date in almost a year, and she blames her good
- 13:24Speaker 1: looks for intimidating men and preventing them from striking up
- 13:27Speaker 1: a conversation with her, she said, it's difficult being this hot.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Men think I'm too beautiful to date or worry that
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'll turn them down. Okay, first of all, all right,
- 13:38Speaker 1: she's not entirely wrong. I mean, if you're a guy
- 13:42Speaker 1: and you see a woman that is just ridiculously attractive,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you might think, yeah, she's out of my league. I
- 13:48Speaker 1: have no chance. But that's where there's two types of men.
- 13:53Speaker 1: There's the guy that says, I'm not even going to
- 13:55Speaker 1: waste my time. That's ridiculous. It's going to be embarrassing.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And then there are the Jerrys of the world, who's
- 14:00Speaker 1: I don't care. I'm going to shoot my shot, right, Jared,
- 14:03Speaker 1: Sorry you miss of the shots you don't take. Yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 1: it was true in college basketball when John Wooden said
- 14:10Speaker 1: it to his UCLA basketball players, and it's true to
- 14:13Speaker 1: players in general. Other women explained in a Reddit thread
- 14:17Speaker 1: they blame men for not knowing how to appropriately approach
- 14:20Speaker 1: women in the wild. One said, I think they can
- 14:24Speaker 1: approach women for non sexual conversation. Somehow these fools refuse
- 14:27Speaker 1: to recognize that we are humans with whole lives that
- 14:30Speaker 1: we could talk about without going straight to insert body
- 14:35Speaker 1: part and how that's attractive. If they can't have a
- 14:37Speaker 1: respectful conversation, then please do not approach. And then someone
- 14:42Speaker 1: else said, the men who care about not making women
- 14:44Speaker 1: uncomfortable don't talk to us anymore because they think hello
- 14:46Speaker 1: is enough to upset us.
- 14:50Speaker 7: Yeah, and it can. Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 1: There's four of us that are male inside the treehouse
- 14:55Speaker 1: right now, and in Unison we're all just shaking our
- 14:57Speaker 1: heads like yeah, yeah, I'm seeing Yeah, that's happened. Hm,
- 15:02Speaker 1: it's your fault. It's your fault. Ladies, Keeping in mind
- 15:09Speaker 1: there are a bunch of us that are creeps. However,
- 15:14Speaker 1: that's not all of us. And just because one creep
- 15:17Speaker 1: said hello doesn't mean every other guy that says hello
- 15:20Speaker 1: subsequently is also a creep. And sometimes you just got
- 15:23Speaker 1: to let the creeps show that they're creeps and not
- 15:26Speaker 1: just assume.
- 15:28Speaker 7: I was gonna say or or pickup lines like still
- 15:30Speaker 7: a thing, like you know, back in the day you
- 15:32Speaker 7: had you had your line, you had to go to line.
- 15:36Speaker 7: I don't even know if that's still a thing.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Now you should find out because otherwise you're going to
- 15:40Speaker 1: be single forever.
- 15:41Speaker 7: Oh I don't I don't mind that.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I know you're actually you're actually being taken under Trey's
- 15:47Speaker 1: wing because now that like you're almost fifty years old
- 15:51Speaker 1: and now you've got a dog, which is which is
- 15:53Speaker 1: Trey's perfect peace situation. If if a woman comes along
- 15:57Speaker 1: that can find a way into that blissful, harmonious life
- 16:02Speaker 1: that Trey has built with Daisy the Chihuahua and Julius
- 16:06Speaker 1: his orange cat, then so be it. But he's not
- 16:09Speaker 1: gonna settle, and neither should you.
- 16:11Speaker 7: Raj. I've got the dog, and Trey's got the dog.
- 16:15Speaker 7: We're a beautiful gay couple, and that's.
- 16:18Speaker 1: What you really are. I mean, all you gotta do
- 16:20Speaker 1: is just you know, just the thing is, though there's
- 16:25Speaker 1: not a Trey sober, you're not going to have some
- 16:27Speaker 1: sort of drunken night of regret. So I mean, if
- 16:31Speaker 1: you two end up scissoring, he's doing it intentionally.
- 16:37Speaker 7: The walk of shame is just back through the living room.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's terrible what he did to me in there.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I think it was a whole level, a whole new
- 16:49Speaker 1: level of embarrassment. Though making both dogs.
- 16:51Speaker 7: Watch sounds like you got it wrong.
- 17:01Speaker 1: But again, if it saves you the trouble of being
- 17:03Speaker 1: uh horrifically rejected and shamed on social media by a woman,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I you know what, I uh, your new relationship has
- 17:12Speaker 1: my total and heart felt blessing.
- 17:18Speaker 7: I love you.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Just like any relationship, one side's really happy, the other
- 17:25Speaker 1: one's wildly disappointed.
- 17:34Speaker 3: You're in the tree house. Visit us online.
- 17:40Speaker 8: I'm treehouse on air dot com.
- 17:53Speaker 3: You're in the tree house.
- 17:55Speaker 8: Visit us online a treehouse on air dot com.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It is time to advertise right here inside the treehouse.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Sponsorship opportunities are available if you're interested. To shoot us
- 18:07Speaker 1: an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com. That's
- 18:10Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com. To advertise right
- 18:14Speaker 1: here inside the Treehouse today is fred Y August first,
- 18:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. I'm Dan, He's trade. That's Raj. There
- 18:22Speaker 1: is Jerry. Just about a week ago we talked about
- 18:28Speaker 1: another cereal butt slapper on the loose, but it has
- 18:35Speaker 1: not stopped there because now we have something else to
- 18:38Speaker 1: worry about. A cereal butt sniffer is among us, not
- 18:45Speaker 1: us directly here inside the treehouse.
- 18:48Speaker 7: This guy yeah to go to Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:00Speaker 1: If you look at all four of us and you
- 19:01Speaker 1: had to guess which one of us is a cereal
- 19:04Speaker 1: butt sniffer, I'm gonna go with Jerry.
- 19:07Speaker 7: Yeah that's fair.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I guess.
- 19:10Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 1: We're not saying you are. I'm just saying I'm in
- 19:14Speaker 1: a line off. That's we think that's who'd get. As
- 19:17Speaker 1: Trey said fingered, a serial butt sniffer has been arrested
- 19:21Speaker 1: again for sticking his shnaz in a woman's backside at
- 19:24Speaker 1: a Nordstrom rack.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Wow Yeah.
- 19:29Speaker 1: He was arrested on Tuesday after he was captured on
- 19:32Speaker 1: security cams crouching near a woman and sniffing her rear
- 19:36Speaker 1: end in the women's section of the Burbank Empire Center
- 19:39Speaker 1: department store in Burbank, California. Plise said he was seen
- 19:44Speaker 1: trailing the innocent shopper around the store before sticking his
- 19:47Speaker 1: nose where it doesn't belong, a disturbing act He's already
- 19:51Speaker 1: been busted for multiple times. He's currently on active parole
- 19:57Speaker 1: for a series of loot offenses dating back to twenty
- 20:00Speaker 1: twenty one, when police said initially they responded to the
- 20:04Speaker 1: retail chain following reports of a suspicious man lurking around
- 20:07Speaker 1: the women's apparel section. He made national headlines in August
- 20:11Speaker 1: of twenty twenty three after a viral TikTok video showed
- 20:15Speaker 1: him sneaking up behind women at a Burbank Barnes and
- 20:18Speaker 1: Noble and sniffing their butts. He was also arrested later
- 20:22Speaker 1: that month for peeping into a family home in Glendale,
- 20:25Speaker 1: and then he was released. And in these types of stories,
- 20:29Speaker 1: when you see headlines that are shocking, especially when a
- 20:34Speaker 1: headline reads Cereal butt sniffer arrested again for sticking schnaz
- 20:39Speaker 1: and woman's backside at Nordstrom rack. There's a little thing
- 20:43Speaker 1: I do that I'm curious about and that's huh. I
- 20:47Speaker 1: wonder what this guy looks like. So let me now
- 20:49Speaker 1: share with you what the serial butt sniffer looks like,
- 20:53Speaker 1: just in case you see him out in public. The uh,
- 21:03Speaker 1: the black gentleman uh would be really, really handsome if
- 21:08Speaker 1: it wasn't for the Shrek like ears protruding from the
- 21:11Speaker 1: sides of his head.
- 21:12Speaker 6: I'm not saying I'd accuse him more of being a
- 21:14Speaker 6: butt listener.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Hear your thoughts, just sticking his ears up to the
- 21:25Speaker 1: butts and thinking, what do you have to tell me?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Tell me your secrets? Oh, yeah, I hear them. Tell
- 21:37Speaker 1: me your tell me your deepest fears.
- 21:44Speaker 7: Me too.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I'm curious, what is your goal in life? Oh, that's
- 21:52Speaker 1: a that's a high goal. If you could just bend
- 21:59Speaker 1: over slightly, I wonder what it would sound like if
- 22:01Speaker 1: you know, Yeah, that's.
- 22:03Speaker 7: Gross, so hot.
- 22:08Speaker 6: I feel like he could be on a submarine just
- 22:10Speaker 6: put his ear to the ball and just hear sonar
- 22:14Speaker 6: from you know, a thousand miles away.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I mean, he's a one man sonar department. That would
- 22:20Speaker 1: be his nickname. He doesn't even need headphones.
- 22:26Speaker 7: He's half bat.
- 22:35Speaker 1: It's the new Batman from DCU.

- 22:46Speaker 1: It's definitely a new take because you don't need the

- 23:27Speaker 1: on Tuesdays right here inside the Treehouse. This was an
- 23:32Speaker 1: unexpected headline. According to new research, we all have hemorrhoids.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I'd like to do an informal study here and now,
- 23:43Speaker 1: does anyone in the treehouse have hemorrhoids?
- 23:47Speaker 6: Right now? Show of hands?
- 23:50Speaker 1: No Trey, no Raj no Jerry. Now have any of
- 23:54Speaker 1: us inside the Treehouse ever had a hemorrhoid?
- 23:58Speaker 4: Noop, Yeah, I've worked with one, literally or figuratively.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Jerry. I'm still trying to figure that one out. I mean,
- 24:14Speaker 1: I've I've figured it figuratively worked with a few of
- 24:17Speaker 1: a few hemorrhoids. I mean, it's unavoidable in the world
- 24:20Speaker 1: of radio, but not literally. Okay, so none of us
- 24:25Speaker 1: currently have hemorrhoids. I will say that it was a
- 24:28Speaker 1: it was an odd moment of adulthood when I realized
- 24:30Speaker 1: the first time. I was like, Oh, I think I
- 24:32Speaker 1: think that's what that is. Okay. Not everyone reacts so
- 24:37Speaker 1: well about it like I did. Others are more distraught
- 24:41Speaker 1: about it. H New York Magazine's website, The Cut, just
- 24:45Speaker 1: at an in depth feature titled everyone has Hemorrhoids Now.
- 24:49Speaker 1: They talked to various doctors who are experts on all
- 24:52Speaker 1: things butts, including the chief of colon and rectal surgery
- 24:56Speaker 1: at Mount Sinai. Hemorrhoids have been on the rise for years,
- 25:00Speaker 1: and young people are dealing with them more and more.
- 25:03Speaker 1: If they get bad enough, the only fix is a
- 25:06Speaker 1: very uncomfortable surgery. You can't avoid them, though. But they say,
- 25:12Speaker 1: these are the main reasons for him for the hemorrhoid
- 25:16Speaker 1: epidemic that we're currently facing. So these are the four
- 25:18Speaker 1: reasons that, according to new research, we all have hemorrhoids.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Number One, we sit too much Sitting for too long
- 25:25Speaker 1: puts added pressure on the veins down there. It restricts
- 25:27Speaker 1: blood flow, and that's what causes hemorrhoids. Not moving around
- 25:31Speaker 1: enough can also make you constipated, which doesn't help. So
- 25:34Speaker 1: the next time you're sitting for a long period of
- 25:36Speaker 1: time and your Apple Watch tells you, hey, as time
- 25:38Speaker 1: stand up, you should listen to it and not just
- 25:40Speaker 1: feel attacked. I'm basically talking to myself there. Number two,
- 25:46Speaker 1: we sit on the toilet too long. A survey in
- 25:49Speaker 1: twenty twenty one found seventy three percent of people and
- 25:52Speaker 1: ninety three percent of people under the age of thirty
- 25:55Speaker 1: bring their phone in the bathroom with them. So that's
- 25:57Speaker 1: a big reason why sitting with your knees up is
- 26:00Speaker 1: even worse for hemorrhoids. So less time on the toilet
- 26:03Speaker 1: is better, ideally two minutes or less. I can't even
- 26:07Speaker 1: fathom two minutes or less on the on the toilet.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I haven't even had a chance to open up any
- 26:11Speaker 1: news apps and see what's going on in the world.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I'm barely logged in, let alone logging on.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Yeah, you can't even be finished by then.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Sure you can.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I take two minutes just to wipe yeah, thorough. I
- 26:28Speaker 1: am gonna get in there. I'm gonna get all of it.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I don't care if it is half a roll that's.
- 26:33Speaker 6: A you know, two to four minutes, that sounds.
- 26:37Speaker 7: You can do it. You can do a pooh in
- 26:39Speaker 7: four minutes? Sure, okay, like all of it?
- 26:44Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Are you saving some for later.
- 26:51Speaker 7: In case you need to finish the story?
- 26:53Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 26:55Speaker 1: Sometimes I like to be teased a little like I
- 27:01Speaker 1: don't know what it is. I don't let my butt
- 27:03Speaker 1: trick me. Okay, if if I feel like I'm done
- 27:07Speaker 1: in two to four minutes, I'm gonna sit there for
- 27:09Speaker 1: another five just to make sure. Because I've done that before,
- 27:12Speaker 1: where I've got like, oh my god, I'm done. This
- 27:14Speaker 1: was faster than I thought I have. I have the
- 27:16Speaker 1: whole afternoon free now, and then like an hour later,
- 27:19Speaker 1: I'm like, whoa, No, I was wrong, and there's more. Yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I get those two firs.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Sometimes, you know, you get get, you're you're done, you're
- 27:27Speaker 5: cleaning up, you're just about and then all of a sudden,
- 27:29Speaker 5: there's that that push again.
- 27:32Speaker 1: It's like, really the old ninja turn.
- 27:36Speaker 5: I only get about ten minutes, though I have an
- 27:37Speaker 5: automatic like alarm system. You know, my my legs go
- 27:41Speaker 5: numb from the knees down. So yeah, I was going
- 27:45Speaker 5: to be done before that alarm system. I was hoping
- 27:47Speaker 5: that you had some sort of a spring that shot
- 27:49Speaker 5: you off the toilet that forced you to get up.
- 27:53Speaker 7: Up, times up, tray. You're done in four minutes.
- 28:06Speaker 5: Yeah, are you like, like really pushing it hard getting
- 28:11Speaker 5: it out?
- 28:11Speaker 6: I mean, not straining, but you know, just get it done.
- 28:18Speaker 6: I've never understood the real magic of sitting on the
- 28:24Speaker 6: toilet for extended periods of time. It's not so bad
- 28:28Speaker 6: in the position.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I mean, it's only bad when your leg when your
- 28:32Speaker 1: legs get so asleep that then you can't stand up.
- 28:38Speaker 6: You know, typically doesn't smell great in there. It's just like,
- 28:40Speaker 6: you know, get it over with.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, So here's a couple more reasons why we
- 28:48Speaker 1: all have hemorhoids. Number three, we're not eating enough fiber.
- 28:50Speaker 1: More fiber tend to equal less straining. It also equals
- 28:54Speaker 1: less wiping and less irritation.
- 28:56Speaker 7: Okay.
- 28:57Speaker 1: And then finally we're dehydrated not drinking and a fluids
- 29:00Speaker 1: slows down your digestion and makes you constipated, so more
- 29:04Speaker 1: straining on the commode. Uh, I'd like to plint. This
- 29:07Speaker 1: is the weird thing to me. I don't like forcing it.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Mm hmm, Like I don't feel like like if I
- 29:12Speaker 1: don't have to go, I'm not just going to go
- 29:14Speaker 1: in there and just start pushing. Honestly, I like things
- 29:18Speaker 1: to happen naturally down there, so that way you avoid
- 29:20Speaker 1: those types of situations with with with the with the hemorrhoids.
- 29:26Speaker 1: So I don't even like pushing. That's part of the
- 29:29Speaker 1: reason why I'm in there for a while, because I
- 29:31Speaker 1: want to make it. I'm not going to force it.
- 29:33Speaker 7: I mean, your body will tell you like we need
- 29:35Speaker 7: to go to the bathroom now, and you can kind
- 29:38Speaker 7: of also kind of guess when you're done. But like
- 29:41Speaker 7: Jerry said, like you know, you might want to stay
- 29:43Speaker 7: for a couple of minutes and see if you're finished finished,
- 29:47Speaker 7: just to make sure. Yeah, what's uh, Forcing it I
- 29:50Speaker 7: think would be more detrimental. Yes, yeah, right.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I think that There have been very few times that
- 29:57Speaker 1: I've had to force it and emphasis on the word
- 30:00Speaker 1: add okay like this it's like okay, well this this
- 30:04Speaker 1: it's it's I have to I'm without any other option here.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I'm past the point of no return.
- 30:12Speaker 7: So what was the situation where you had to force it?
- 30:17Speaker 1: It got stuck, gravity stopped desisting. So what had happened
- 30:28Speaker 1: was I had I was what had.
- 30:30Speaker 6: You put up there?
- 30:33Speaker 3: Nothing?
- 30:35Speaker 6: No?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Nothing. I was trying a cilium husk, a celium husk
- 30:41Speaker 1: supplement to increase my fiber, and I guess it was
- 30:45Speaker 1: too much, so it made things extra.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Dry, not enough. That's what it sounds like. You're getting punished.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Oh, it felt like it, doesn't it always.

- 31:56Speaker 1: show to a friend and let him know the Treehouse
- 31:58Speaker 1: is open. Let's grow. Today is Friday, August first, twenty
- 32:06Speaker 1: twenty five. Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. Jason Momoa
- 32:16Speaker 1: turns forty six today, known for a number of things.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Cal Drago on Game of Thrones was probably his big
- 32:24Speaker 1: splash to fame. Then he was Aquaman and he did
- 32:30Speaker 1: actually accomplish the near impossible. They made Aquaman kind of
- 32:35Speaker 1: cool because at the end of the day, we all
- 32:39Speaker 1: just kind of assumed that he screws fish. At least
- 32:42Speaker 1: in Aquaman, they made the fish pretty sexy. So Jason
- 32:46Speaker 1: Momoa turns forty six. He was also on Stargate Atlantis
- 32:51Speaker 1: and in the new Minecraft movie, which I don't know
- 32:57Speaker 1: where it stands on the box office list, but I
- 33:00Speaker 1: think that movie was doing crazy box office numbers because
- 33:03Speaker 1: I guess young guys just love Minecraft so much. They
- 33:10Speaker 1: were destroying movie theaters with all sorts of messes, popcorn, soda,
- 33:15Speaker 1: nachos like. I saw videos online of the aftermath of
- 33:19Speaker 1: Minecraft movie theaters, and it was horrible what these kids
- 33:23Speaker 1: are doing to the movie theater. And I have no
- 33:26Speaker 1: idea why. The only person I can think to ask
- 33:28Speaker 1: right now that's going to know anything about Minecraft is Jerry. Jerry,
- 33:33Speaker 1: do you know why they were destroying these theaters because
- 33:35Speaker 1: they were so happy at the Minecraft movie.
- 33:39Speaker 5: I don't know if the performance necessarily reflects the movie itself.
- 33:45Speaker 5: I am a huge Minecraft fan. I've been playing it
- 33:48Speaker 5: for ten years, and I'm here to tell you that
- 33:50Speaker 5: movie is not good. So maybe that's why the place
- 33:55Speaker 5: was getting destroyed. Is because they paid their money. They
- 33:57Speaker 5: were excited, got a movie with Jack, you know, and
- 34:01Speaker 5: it's Minecraft, and then this is what they presented us.
- 34:07Speaker 1: And that was my other question was that all the
- 34:11Speaker 1: buzz before that movie came out was that it was
- 34:14Speaker 1: kind of terrible, and then based on the box office numbers,
- 34:17Speaker 1: I thought, well, maybe that the critics just don't get
- 34:19Speaker 1: it because they're not you know, young guys who've played Minecraft,
- 34:23Speaker 1: or guys that have played Minecraft for very long stretches
- 34:27Speaker 1: of time, and they just don't get it. But you're saying,
- 34:29Speaker 1: you saw it, you've been you've been a minecrafter and
- 34:31Speaker 1: it was terrible. So I've I've I'm completely out of
- 34:34Speaker 1: my depth on this one.
- 34:37Speaker 6: Jason Momoa also has a very good series on Apple
- 34:40Speaker 6: called c.
- 34:42Speaker 1: No Wonder You Love It. I took a moment, but
- 34:50Speaker 1: that was good. Thank you very much. Yes you're listening.

- 35:39Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air. All right, one last little bit here
- 36:10Speaker 1: inside the Treehouse today, and that is this. A pastor
- 36:15Speaker 1: has been charged with one million dollars of fraud after
- 36:19Speaker 1: God told him to sell crypto and spend it on vacations.
- 36:26Speaker 1: That is a religion I can get behind. There's the
- 36:31Speaker 1: way the Lord he said he missed. A pastor and
- 36:35Speaker 1: his wife from Denver were arrested for running a crypto
- 36:38Speaker 1: scam where they solicited three point four million dollars from friends.
- 36:42Speaker 1: They used the money to do home renovations and take vacations.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Of course, oh you people, I swear.
- 36:55Speaker 6: I mean, which just means he just didn't. I mean,
- 37:00Speaker 6: that's what so many of these televangelists do. He just
- 37:02Speaker 6: clearly didn't, you know, follow the model, which is they
- 37:08Speaker 6: take money from people and they spend it on planes
- 37:10Speaker 6: and vacations and lavish, lavish lifestyle. Yeah, and go look
- 37:14Speaker 6: at Kenneth Copeland. Oh yeah, that's.
- 37:19Speaker 7: It.
- 37:20Speaker 6: He has been you know, he's been raising money for
- 37:22Speaker 6: a you know, a whole like community he was going
- 37:26Speaker 6: to build, like I forgot what it's called, you know, like.
- 37:29Speaker 7: Copland at uh.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Copeland Land, that's probably what it was.
- 37:36Speaker 6: You know, and they've never you know, built a damn thing.
- 37:39Speaker 7: Mm hmm.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I think, well, that's not entirely his fault. Trey Trends
- 37:44Speaker 1: keep changing. I mean, at one point it was marble countertops,
- 37:49Speaker 1: then it was quartz, and he it's hard to keep
- 37:51Speaker 1: up white cabinets, shaker cabinets. Yeah, open concept versus. The
- 38:03Speaker 1: problem is, as soon as they said open concept, a
- 38:05Speaker 1: bunch of the people that gave money said that's not
- 38:07Speaker 1: what we want in this community.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Who realized.
- 38:13Speaker 7: That, said he lost his house in the tornado.
- 38:17Speaker 5: There was a there was a pastor here, that's the
- 38:19Speaker 5: mega church guy.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Sorry, Jerry, you're gonna have to be more specific. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:26Speaker 1: which one, Yeah, especially if you're talking about in Plano
- 38:29Speaker 1: where all the churches are mega.
- 38:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:33Speaker 7: I mean he like he did like a flyover with
- 38:36Speaker 7: Channel eight or something like that where he's like, this
- 38:39Speaker 7: is you know, everything's destroyed and it was not even
- 38:42Speaker 7: his neighborhood. It wasn't even his house. Wow, that is
- 38:47Speaker 7: And he raised money to build a new house for himself.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Uh what about all those other people in the neighborhood?
- 38:54Speaker 1: Were those heathens and they didn't deserve any of it.
- 38:58Speaker 7: He wasn't a different neighborhood. I don't Yeah, hop he
- 39:02Speaker 7: was a member of the HLA. I have no idea,
- 39:07Speaker 7: no money for you. Yeah, but there was he did
- 39:10Speaker 7: a whole like news thing where he was raising funds
- 39:15Speaker 7: and I think he raised like a couple a million
- 39:18Speaker 7: bucks something like that for his house. And it wasn't
- 39:22Speaker 7: his house that was destroyed.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Whatever happened to the to the ideology that the meek
- 39:28Speaker 1: shall inherit the earth? One of one of Jesus's parables
- 39:32Speaker 1: said it would be easier to pass a camel through
- 39:36Speaker 1: the eye of a needle than it would for a
- 39:38Speaker 1: rich man to enter the Kingdom of heaven. Yet here
- 39:40Speaker 1: we are with pastors saying, help me build my mansion.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I must fly on my g six to spread the.
- 39:50Speaker 6: Word of the Lord.
- 39:52Speaker 7: They took that book out.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Right, just skip over that and Bible study like no, no, no, no,
- 39:58Speaker 1: just skip that one back. Over reve You know what
- 40:06Speaker 1: the Lord wants me to have. It's a brand new Credenza.
- 40:12Speaker 7: No one said Credenz in the last.
- 40:16Speaker 1: That's probably why they can't get Kope left Land built.
- 40:23Speaker 1: He just won't let go that Credenza model. For all
- 40:27Speaker 1: things Treehouse, go to Treehouse on Air dot com, find
