- 0:45Speaker 2: special episode. We're gonna be talking about the most essential
- 0:49Speaker 2: thing in this world.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Which is laughter.
- 0:52Speaker 4: That's a fact.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Man. He can't survive without water.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You can survive without food for a certain maria of time,
- 0:56Speaker 2: but it's gonna be difficult.
- 0:58Speaker 5: If body needs water.
- 0:59Speaker 1: The world needs water seventy percent of the playing this
- 1:01Speaker 1: water sure an essential necessity for sure.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Brad Simmons and Terrence Walker, they have a company called
- 1:08Speaker 2: Live alkaline water.
- 1:10Speaker 3: This is actually it right here.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, if you can see h glass bottle beat
- 1:15Speaker 2: the glass for sure.
- 1:17Speaker 3: So we're gonna we're gonna be talking about it. You know.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It's an interesting journey as far as invest fast. You
- 1:24Speaker 2: guys were a water sponsor for VIP Night this year.
- 1:28Speaker 4: That was important, Yes, sir, importunate man.
- 1:30Speaker 6: Look, we're gonna we're gonna talk about it, you know,
- 1:33Speaker 6: but no, that was an honor. Were grateful to even
- 1:36Speaker 6: be brought into the fold because originally, matter of fact,
- 1:41Speaker 6: I ran into y'all in Charlotte.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Y'all did the event in Charlotte, and.
- 1:44Speaker 3: That's where you're where you're from from Charlotte.
- 1:46Speaker 6: Right, we're from North Carolina, from down East Carolina, kind
- 1:49Speaker 6: of close to Wilmington, from omens Aslo County. And I
- 1:53Speaker 6: ended up at A and T and that's how I
- 1:55Speaker 6: ended up start playing the field in that region. So
- 1:58Speaker 6: Charlotte only an hour away, hour and a half away.
- 2:00Speaker 6: So when I found out y'all was coming, it was
- 2:02Speaker 6: a no brainer. Pulled right up, pocket full of business cars,
- 2:06Speaker 6: got me a couple of waters in the tuck just
- 2:07Speaker 6: in case I get to y'all, and I ended up
- 2:12Speaker 6: connecting with y'all. Y'all was getting up out of there
- 2:14Speaker 6: at the end, and I just stopped you real quick, Yo.
- 2:17Speaker 4: We got the water.
- 2:18Speaker 6: We're trying to be the water sponsor, and we're just
- 2:20Speaker 6: trying to connect and see how we can bring our
- 2:22Speaker 6: resource and value to the investments. And then that next
- 2:26Speaker 6: Monday Market, Mondays or something y'all, you know, doing y'all thing,
- 2:30Speaker 6: and then you get to everybody to do Aventis.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Charlotte was great and all of that.
- 2:35Speaker 6: We was making good connections and all that, but certain
- 2:37Speaker 6: people that was coming.
- 2:38Speaker 4: A little you know, sideways a little bit.
- 2:41Speaker 6: But it was this one brother. He came with the
- 2:44Speaker 6: water with an offering and bringing value, and that's how
- 2:48Speaker 6: y'all need to move. I was like, oh, that's me
- 2:51Speaker 6: about me, okay. Respect And a lot of what we've
- 2:53Speaker 6: been doing is being like trial and error. We haven't
- 2:56Speaker 6: necessarily seen no one build no multimillion dollar corporation.
- 2:59Speaker 4: So we just be following the soul.
- 3:01Speaker 6: That's our nonprofit Soul Society, but it's really the lifestyle.
- 3:05Speaker 4: We follow the soul.
- 3:06Speaker 6: So that connection and to wrap that up, I'm sending
- 3:11Speaker 6: the emails. I ended up getting the Zoom that year
- 3:13Speaker 6: with one of the representatives, and it was an astronomical.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Number that they asked for for us. It was like,
- 3:25Speaker 4: you can pay and then I'm like, I ain't get away.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I'm like, nah, I ain't gonna make it this time.
- 3:31Speaker 6: But I ended up coming just to be a participant.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Matter of fact, I got locked in with Keys to
- 3:36Speaker 6: do his VIP experience and whatnot. And ultimately fast forward
- 3:43Speaker 6: the next year, I was still this past year, I
- 3:46Speaker 6: was still thinking about the astronomical number that I wasn't
- 3:48Speaker 6: gonna have you feel me, And it took a little
- 3:51Speaker 6: bit of time, but whatever time the stars aligned. I
- 3:54Speaker 6: came up on your website and I seen the email.
- 3:58Speaker 6: I'm like, all right, let me just shoot shot again.
- 4:00Speaker 5: See what to do.
- 4:01Speaker 4: I'm shoot my shot, you hear me?
- 4:03Speaker 6: And next thing I know, they was like, look were
- 4:07Speaker 6: in there, no astronomical numbers, just playing the water and
- 4:11Speaker 6: I'm like, we got the water, easy money.
- 4:14Speaker 4: And this the last thing.
- 4:15Speaker 6: By the time I talked to that was probably the
- 4:18Speaker 6: brother ab and they were saying like, okay, we need
- 4:22Speaker 6: about two thousand bottles of water. I'm like, we got
- 4:24Speaker 6: that easy, got off the phone, started calculating.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Ooh, that's how much. Okay. Nonetheless, we're not stopping.
- 4:35Speaker 6: And then as we was trying to get what we
- 4:39Speaker 6: needed to fulfill that two thousand bottles and all of that,
- 4:44Speaker 6: it was getting close, and we was like.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I don't know how we're gonna do it. You feel me?
- 4:48Speaker 6: And I put a couple of call to actions out
- 4:50Speaker 6: to our audience. But then the last one matter fact,
- 4:53Speaker 6: I know the people that watch the Pie know about
- 4:55Speaker 6: net thirties. So in net thirties you get a chance
- 4:59Speaker 6: to get your product with thirty days to pay.
- 5:03Speaker 4: So I'm lining up everything to get the bottles, and
- 5:06Speaker 4: everything lined up, and.
- 5:09Speaker 6: They told me I had thirty days to pay. But
- 5:11Speaker 6: then it was coming up like two days out, like,
- 5:14Speaker 6: oh nah, you actually don't. It ain't all the ways situated.
- 5:18Speaker 6: You gotta pay what you thought you had thirty days
- 5:20Speaker 6: to pay. You gotta pay that in like two days.
- 5:24Speaker 6: I ain't no how I was gonna do it, but
- 5:25Speaker 6: I put the call to action out there.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Defense. I'm telling you, I put a call to action.
- 5:30Speaker 6: I made it playing and straight vulnerable, and within an hour,
- 5:35Speaker 6: I had like six hundred dollars in our crowdfund campaign.
- 5:40Speaker 6: By the end of the day, we had like eight
- 5:42Speaker 6: hundred and by the end of about three days we
- 5:45Speaker 6: raised like fifteen.
- 5:46Speaker 4: Hundred dollars, and that is what made sure we could
- 5:50Speaker 4: fulfill the duties.
- 5:52Speaker 6: And y'all would never know, you know, it's just everything
- 5:54Speaker 6: happened smooth and presented smooth, and it was a great experience,
- 5:58Speaker 6: you know, but it was a great journey that you know,
- 6:01Speaker 6: we had to build some thicker skin and big it
- 6:04Speaker 6: up real quick.
- 6:05Speaker 4: So much appreciated it was.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It was definitely a warm night, yeah, yeah, sure, So
- 6:10Speaker 1: I was actually under the weather. So the only thing
- 6:12Speaker 1: I did have was your water, and I was like,
- 6:15Speaker 1: this is it. I can't do anything else. But you know,
- 6:17Speaker 1: a lot of times people underestimate that, especially when you're
- 6:20Speaker 1: having a good time and then you obviously have alcohol,
- 6:22Speaker 1: they forget the most important component exist. It's something that
- 6:25Speaker 1: he always walks around with, like a bottle of water
- 6:28Speaker 1: just in case. And it was like, as I got older,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I understood like I got a hydrate.
- 6:31Speaker 5: I got a hydrate.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Most people don't even realize that even when you're drinking water,
- 6:34Speaker 1: sometimes you still can be Deydre. So this is going
- 6:37Speaker 1: to be a powerful episode because I'm starting to learn
- 6:39Speaker 1: a lot about more about just my personal body, how
- 6:42Speaker 1: to react and the impact.
- 6:44Speaker 4: That water has on it.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Also, I wanted to just piggyback on that because it
- 6:49Speaker 2: is a good story as far as how the network properly.
- 6:52Speaker 2: And the reason why that was perfect time and when
- 6:56Speaker 2: you came up to me was because that that year before,
- 6:59Speaker 2: we ran out of water and it was like one
- 7:02Speaker 2: hundred degrees. It was a heat wave, so it was
- 7:04Speaker 2: super hot and that was a major like issue where
- 7:08Speaker 2: we didn't have enough water. So going into the next year,
- 7:13Speaker 2: Vip Night, that was one of the main things. He's like,
- 7:15Speaker 2: we got to make sure we have enough water for sure.
- 7:17Speaker 2: So when you came and you're like, yo, I got
- 7:20Speaker 2: the water, da da value you had a value added,
- 7:22Speaker 2: it made sense. I'm like, all right, yeah, that that's
- 7:24Speaker 2: a perfect alignment of what we actually needed. So for
- 7:27Speaker 2: people out there that's looking to network, you didn't even
- 7:30Speaker 2: know that. But I'm just saying, like, see where you
- 7:32Speaker 2: can add value. So I always say see where you
- 7:34Speaker 2: can add value, right, and don't necessarily make it about you,
- 7:39Speaker 2: like the low reciprocity. You're going to get your blessings
- 7:41Speaker 2: later on. But it's like you came and you had
- 7:44Speaker 2: a value add offer that made sense and we needed it,
- 7:48Speaker 2: and now we're here for sure.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Now that's love.
- 7:51Speaker 7: We got a chance to see how much it was needed.
- 7:55Speaker 7: We pulled up to the VIP night and you know,
- 7:58Speaker 7: we were looking for where the water was placed and
- 8:00Speaker 7: we didn't see a place, so we be like all right,
- 8:02Speaker 7: and then somebody was like they got to go to
- 8:03Speaker 7: the bar and ask for it. So we're like, all right,
- 8:05Speaker 7: you know, and nobody's going to the bar and asking
- 8:07Speaker 7: for water because it's open bar. Everybody getting lit. So
- 8:11Speaker 7: we're like, all right, we're gonna figure this out. And
- 8:13Speaker 7: Bessie from Cocos Cookies, you know, she's wan y'all sponsors,
- 8:16Speaker 7: that's the homegirl.
- 8:16Speaker 5: She from Carolina.
- 8:19Speaker 7: She was there and she had a booth set up
- 8:21Speaker 7: and we were like, hmm okay, so how we gonna
- 8:23Speaker 7: make sure people get this water cause they drinking, they
- 8:25Speaker 7: ain't gonna ask for it. So brother was like, I
- 8:28Speaker 7: think we're about to go get the water and just
- 8:29Speaker 7: start passing it out.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Nah.
- 8:31Speaker 6: Look, so I hit my couple points of contact, like
- 8:35Speaker 6: we won't really see the presence and activation in here.
- 8:37Speaker 6: They're like nah, it's cool, We're gonna get it together.
- 8:40Speaker 6: Next thing I know, I seen like three girls taking
- 8:43Speaker 6: handfuls of water, and I'm like they must be going
- 8:45Speaker 6: to the green room or something like that.
- 8:47Speaker 4: So I fall right in line and follow them.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Next thing I know, I see where we had all
- 8:52Speaker 6: the water when we had brought it and loaded in
- 8:54Speaker 6: the day before, and that joint was still stacked up,
- 8:57Speaker 6: and I'm like the event coming close to an end.
- 9:00Speaker 6: I'm like, ain't no way were leaving here without people
- 9:02Speaker 6: getting this water and knowing we was here.
- 9:05Speaker 7: And I just went back to the bar and like
- 9:09Speaker 7: I get a phone call and bro like meet me
- 9:11Speaker 7: at the front door right now.
- 9:12Speaker 5: I'm like, all right, bet after.
- 9:14Speaker 6: Me being backstage for forty five minutes and whatnot, I'm
- 9:18Speaker 6: getting like the bartend I'm the water sponsor, got the
- 9:20Speaker 6: water shirt on. Let me get one of those boxes,
- 9:23Speaker 6: Like all right, sure, And I couldn't even get nowhere.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I'm passing out the water like oh thank you, thank you.
- 9:28Speaker 4: I needed I needed it.
- 9:29Speaker 6: So it were so many people that were appreciative of
- 9:32Speaker 6: that water. It was so many people that was like
- 9:35Speaker 6: lifted by that water that night, you know. So I
- 9:37Speaker 6: know they felt the presence. We already giving good love
- 9:40Speaker 6: and energy. So by the time I flooded the backstage. Look,
- 9:44Speaker 6: when I first went back there, it was real scarce.
- 9:47Speaker 6: By the time I love it was live akalne water
- 9:49Speaker 6: all through the back stage. And I got to the
- 9:52Speaker 6: front and we flooded the front area too, and ran
- 9:56Speaker 6: through all that stack of water. And the people really
- 9:59Speaker 6: received it in a appreciated it and needed it.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Fine, So how do we get here? You guys have
- 10:04Speaker 2: a family water supply. Yeah, so how does this happen?
- 10:08Speaker 6: We're in connection with the family. So foundation is twenty fifteen.
- 10:13Speaker 6: Me and my brother started out organization Soul Society. Initially
- 10:17Speaker 6: the idea was sold academy because as I evolved, I
- 10:20Speaker 6: realized the.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Importance of the education system.
- 10:23Speaker 6: When I left high school and went to college at
- 10:25Speaker 6: A and T, and I was going for computer technology.
- 10:29Speaker 6: But matter of fact, in high school, we'll do the
- 10:32Speaker 6: career analysis test and they will spit out all your
- 10:35Speaker 6: recommended jobs.
- 10:36Speaker 4: I just scroll down to the end at the salary.
- 10:39Speaker 4: So I see technology as a.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Good bubbling field and you can maybe get an entry
- 10:44Speaker 6: at one hundred K or something like that. But I
- 10:46Speaker 6: had that first semester in college, I had like three
- 10:48Speaker 6: computer classes, and I realized I was not about to
- 10:50Speaker 6: be at no computer desk for the next.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Twenty thirty years.
- 10:54Speaker 6: But I had this African American Experience class, and it
- 10:57Speaker 6: taught me all these deeper parts about our history and
- 10:59Speaker 6: who we y'all, what we overcame, who we were before
- 11:02Speaker 6: we were colonized, before we were in slave and I
- 11:05Speaker 6: started to see more worth and value on myself during
- 11:07Speaker 6: the time, I was going through a depression, not seeing
- 11:10Speaker 6: no worth of value on myself.
- 11:11Speaker 4: So I realized how that empowered me.
- 11:14Speaker 6: And then that second semester, I had a sociology class
- 11:17Speaker 6: and another class that had to read The Miseducation of
- 11:20Speaker 6: a Negro, And at that point I realized, this is
- 11:23Speaker 6: by design. Our conditions are by design, and I can't
- 11:27Speaker 6: just free myself for these conditions and not turn back,
- 11:32Speaker 6: you know. And another part of that depression was wanting
- 11:34Speaker 6: to go back. But I realized I can't go back
- 11:36Speaker 6: in time, but I can reach back and put the
- 11:39Speaker 6: younger kids on the information that I wish I would
- 11:41Speaker 6: have had when I was younger. But so it started
- 11:44Speaker 6: a Soul Academy as the organization and that evolved to
- 11:47Speaker 6: soul Society, the deep, what we learned about knowledge and
- 11:50Speaker 6: self and the fact that we need our own community
- 11:53Speaker 6: for these kids to dwell in. And then fast forward
- 11:56Speaker 6: from twenty fifteen to twenty twenty of us five years
- 12:00Speaker 6: pushing the idea of one day we're gonna have some land.
- 12:04Speaker 6: In twenty twenty, it was like, we need that now,
- 12:09Speaker 6: and I promise you. When the mentality shifted from one
- 12:11Speaker 6: day till we need it now, in like a month,
- 12:14Speaker 6: we found ourselves on this land because I just started
- 12:17Speaker 6: to reach out to my network post on Facebook, who
- 12:20Speaker 6: the local farmers? All the centrals being brought off the shelves.
- 12:24Speaker 6: You could have a million dollars at that point in time.
- 12:26Speaker 6: It might not be able to buy no good clean
- 12:28Speaker 6: water at the time. So I just started to reach
- 12:30Speaker 6: out to who the local farmers. So it's not just
- 12:33Speaker 6: about us getting our own one day, it was about
- 12:37Speaker 6: who has it now that we can help and learn from.
- 12:40Speaker 4: So we made the connection. I went to the land,
- 12:43Speaker 4: we did the tour. I tried the water for the
- 12:45Speaker 4: first time and it was like, I promise you, and
- 12:49Speaker 4: this is a spring water. This is spring water.
- 12:52Speaker 6: So right outside of Winston Salem and yeah, Canville. It's
- 12:54Speaker 6: a little town called yak Canville. And this is an
- 12:57Speaker 6: indigenous family, Black indigenous family. So they got records of
- 13:00Speaker 6: having the land for over four hundred years. So it's
- 13:03Speaker 6: like straight sacred land, rich crystal mineral based land. So
- 13:07Speaker 6: it's naturally mineralizing in Alkalina in the water. So from there,
- 13:11Speaker 6: I took a couple months to study and figure out
- 13:14Speaker 6: how to express the value of the water. And by
- 13:17Speaker 6: the time it was like I had like seven dollars
- 13:19Speaker 6: of my name. Matter of fact, I just hit a
- 13:21Speaker 6: win maybe a month before, just dealing with the stock
- 13:25Speaker 6: options for the first time. I took that first pandemic check.
- 13:30Speaker 6: I put some pay some bills, and the rest. I
- 13:32Speaker 6: put on some stocks and a couple options, and I
- 13:36Speaker 6: was about to cash out my portfolio, and I was like,
- 13:39Speaker 6: all right, I just bought some food for the crib,
- 13:41Speaker 6: got a roof over my head, got some gas.
- 13:43Speaker 4: I don't need to panic right immediately.
- 13:46Speaker 6: And I promise you that next day, after I was
- 13:48Speaker 6: about to cash out my whole portfolio, my stock was
- 13:52Speaker 6: up like eight hundred percent, you know, And then that
- 13:56Speaker 6: next day was up like a thousand and I man
- 13:59Speaker 6: I probably they made like twenty five hundred off the
- 14:02Speaker 6: stock options that week, so that bought me like another month.
- 14:05Speaker 6: Fast forward, I'm back down to a few dollars in
- 14:07Speaker 6: my name, and I spent some of my last money
- 14:10Speaker 6: on gas food, and I took some of that gas
- 14:14Speaker 6: and went to the land to just.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Give my labor.
- 14:17Speaker 6: I ain't asked what I'm gonna get what I'm nah,
- 14:20Speaker 6: I just went and helped them. They had two two
- 14:22Speaker 6: thousand gallon orders that week. I just helped package up,
- 14:26Speaker 6: load up, and by that second day they gave me
- 14:29Speaker 6: twenty gallons, and I'm on the way home thinking I
- 14:32Speaker 6: got something like, how I'm gonna get these twenty gallons off.
- 14:36Speaker 6: By the time I got home, I took a couple
- 14:38Speaker 6: of news clips we had from being the first black
- 14:40Speaker 6: On water company to get into the walmarts and I
- 14:44Speaker 6: reposted them joints them twenty gallons was sold in like
- 14:47Speaker 6: an hour to.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Hold a real quick because the family that's on the land,
- 14:51Speaker 1: are they processing this mineral water?
- 14:54Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they got We got the bottle in
- 14:56Speaker 6: on the land. But then right like twenty minutes from
- 14:58Speaker 6: the land, we got like a mask reduction factory.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Got you got you so, Yeah, when you got there,
- 15:03Speaker 1: you were you saw that this was there. Yeah, and
- 15:05Speaker 1: you asked, how can I help be a part of it?
- 15:07Speaker 5: Right?
- 15:08Speaker 4: Got you got you?
- 15:08Speaker 2: So your partners with them, Yeah, they had the water
- 15:11Speaker 2: up and running already, Yes.
- 15:13Speaker 3: And you came in. You said, I want to help out.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I want to add value.
- 15:16Speaker 6: And initially as well, me and him, we were we
- 15:19Speaker 6: got our entity heavy energy. So we was coming with
- 15:21Speaker 6: the water under that umbrella. But it was like a
- 15:25Speaker 6: certain processing that.
- 15:26Speaker 4: It was taken. It was like I need to jump
- 15:28Speaker 4: off now.
- 15:29Speaker 3: So y'all had a water.
- 15:30Speaker 4: No, we had an idea.
- 15:32Speaker 7: We actually before that we were when we were looking
- 15:35Speaker 7: for the land, we had no idea or vision of water.
- 15:39Speaker 7: We were just thinking land somewhere where you can farm,
- 15:41Speaker 7: somewhere where you can teach young people to be self sustaining,
- 15:44Speaker 7: because as adults you sometimes got so many more responsibilities
- 15:48Speaker 7: that you don't have that time to put in. Get
- 15:50Speaker 7: to the land, there's water. Wasn't even thinking the water.
- 15:54Speaker 7: Water uppeared and it was like, oh, this is a
- 15:57Speaker 7: whole nother lane, and we began plotting and planning how
- 16:00Speaker 7: we was going to do this, this and that and
- 16:01Speaker 7: it's like, we don't got time to really try to
- 16:04Speaker 7: make it perfect. We got, but we got time to
- 16:06Speaker 7: make it happen right now. We got to get it
- 16:09Speaker 7: started right now. And man, it was so crazy because,
- 16:12Speaker 7: like he said, he came back with those twenty gallons,
- 16:14Speaker 7: got those things off, and in that process, I think
- 16:19Speaker 7: we were getting ready to move into a whole nother place.
- 16:22Speaker 5: So who was it all?
- 16:23Speaker 7: I think Black Dot had shouted the water out on
- 16:26Speaker 7: his podcast or something like that.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Well Blue Pill did first, and that's how Black Dot
- 16:30Speaker 4: found out about it.
- 16:31Speaker 7: So once Black Dot, I had literally so I built
- 16:35Speaker 7: our website because before that I'm a hip hop artist
- 16:38Speaker 7: as well, So before I went on tour and had
- 16:40Speaker 7: money to pay nobody to build the website, so I
- 16:42Speaker 7: had to figure it out myself. I just built the site,
- 16:44Speaker 7: so we already had a site up. So once I've realized, like,
- 16:48Speaker 7: all right, these orders about to go crazy, we need
- 16:50Speaker 7: to at least go ahead and have somewhere where we
- 16:52Speaker 7: ain't trying to contact and communicate with people through the dms,
- 16:55Speaker 7: because they was killing my man in the DM trying
- 16:57Speaker 7: to get the water.
- 16:58Speaker 5: And so I'm over here trying to.
- 16:59Speaker 7: Figure out the shipping, he communicating with people.
- 17:02Speaker 5: I'm like, all right, let's get this site up.
- 17:04Speaker 7: Thank god we got the sight up, because by the
- 17:06Speaker 7: time it got the blue pil and then the black dot,
- 17:08Speaker 7: we in the middle of moving and all I know
- 17:11Speaker 7: is my man over here on the phone real heavy.
- 17:13Speaker 5: I'm like, Bron, we got boxes that need to be
- 17:15Speaker 5: moved in.
- 17:16Speaker 7: But the orders coming in so crazy that Bro just
- 17:19Speaker 7: locked in, like yo, were communicating with this person and
- 17:21Speaker 7: sending them to the site. So it just went crazy
- 17:25Speaker 7: from there, you know, not even thinking about the water.
- 17:27Speaker 7: But the thing for me was that proper preparation prevents
- 17:30Speaker 7: poor performance. We had the sight up, we were ready,
- 17:33Speaker 7: so we had a space to be able to send
- 17:34Speaker 7: people to capture all that and it was still a
- 17:37Speaker 7: little overwhelming.
- 17:38Speaker 5: But if we didn't have that particular thing already in place.
- 17:42Speaker 2: The family that owns the land, right, did they have
- 17:47Speaker 2: the brand already? Yeah, yeah, they had the Live Alkaline
- 17:51Speaker 2: Water brand. It just needed more promotion. Yeah, it needed
- 17:55Speaker 2: some young lady a charge. You're not an elder, but
- 17:58Speaker 2: he's in his fifties.
- 18:00Speaker 6: He built the foundation and he constantly working on the
- 18:03Speaker 6: actual land. So all the ambassadorship running around traveling.
- 18:10Speaker 7: We were already used to doing that because right before
- 18:12Speaker 7: the pandemic, before we got to the water, I was
- 18:14Speaker 7: in the middle of a tour, a sold out tour
- 18:16Speaker 7: at that so we were already traveling the country while
- 18:19Speaker 7: we were doing music. We had the programs. What's his
- 18:21Speaker 7: name of chief? Yeah, Chief Robert McCrae.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So how do you approach him? Like, how does that work?
- 18:29Speaker 2: Like how do you approach him and say, look, I
- 18:31Speaker 2: want to be a partner. I think I could add
- 18:32Speaker 2: value And how does what made him buy into that?
- 18:35Speaker 5: He just gave his time.
- 18:36Speaker 6: So, like I said, initially I made a connection and
- 18:39Speaker 6: he was kind of opening it up to some opportunity
- 18:42Speaker 6: for some of the youth, and he went through a
- 18:44Speaker 6: few iterations of young groups coming through. But ultimately, like
- 18:48Speaker 6: I said, when I came back and just dedicated them
- 18:50Speaker 6: two days, they gave me the twenty gallons and seeing
- 18:53Speaker 6: how fast it moved, and by the time, like I said,
- 18:56Speaker 6: them twenty gallons were sold an hour away from that
- 18:58Speaker 6: first post.
- 18:59Speaker 3: So the work.
- 19:00Speaker 6: By the time I got back to the land, I'm like,
- 19:02Speaker 6: however much water I can fit in this car, little
- 19:05Speaker 6: black toil to Corolla. I need it and we got
- 19:07Speaker 6: eighty gallons in there. They were sold in three days
- 19:10Speaker 6: and the rest was history.
- 19:12Speaker 4: So you've just seen the work and the results.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Once the plug got the work off, That's what I said.
- 19:15Speaker 5: You got, you got the work, you came back.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I need to reacted everything I can fit. Yeah, So
- 19:20Speaker 4: I mean, how is his chief? And we just came
- 19:23Speaker 4: chief and out? How is cheap? The first time you
- 19:26Speaker 4: come back? Like, what's his reaction?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Right?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Because he's looking at it like, you know, this thing
- 19:31Speaker 1: is kind of moved slow it come y'all with this
- 19:33Speaker 1: marketing plan, this grit, this hustle.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Yeah, you moved that word quick. You need to re up.
- 19:38Speaker 4: How is he reacting to this?
- 19:40Speaker 3: Well?
- 19:40Speaker 6: To put respect on it, he was doing well for himself,
- 19:44Speaker 6: but when it comes to community building and nation building,
- 19:47Speaker 6: it's way more untapped potential, you know. So I was
- 19:50Speaker 6: dealing with one of his partners that he had connected
- 19:53Speaker 6: me with to run through and from there it just
- 19:56Speaker 6: went from connecting with him to like, nah, directly connect
- 20:01Speaker 6: with me, and from there we just continue to build
- 20:04Speaker 6: week in week out, like we about action. So it's
- 20:07Speaker 6: like our work, our energy always speak for itself. So
- 20:11Speaker 6: it just been an evolving relationship. The further we got
- 20:14Speaker 6: into our grind, the more results we brought back, the
- 20:17Speaker 6: more leeway like we got one hundreds of acres that
- 20:20Speaker 6: at this point he like, do y'all you feel me?
- 20:24Speaker 5: It wasn't a matter of trying to sell ourselves.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Earnest what's up?

- 22:04Speaker 5: It was a matter of action. When you see it,
- 22:06Speaker 5: you don't got to try to believe it. You know it.
- 22:09Speaker 3: YO, So break this down.
- 22:11Speaker 2: What's the science behind this alkaline there's spring water, there's
- 22:14Speaker 2: tap water, and it's alkaline water. I here, everybody's got
- 22:19Speaker 2: their own opinion about what's the best, what's not good
- 22:21Speaker 2: for you? So this is alkaline water. Yeah, explain the
- 22:25Speaker 2: different variations of water.
- 22:27Speaker 6: Yeah, So generally speaking, even more important than it being
- 22:30Speaker 6: alkaline water is the fact that it's coming from a
- 22:33Speaker 6: living source. So you got a lot of alkaline waters
- 22:36Speaker 6: that a lot of times it's tap water that they
- 22:38Speaker 6: run through an artificial induced process to make it alkaline.
- 22:42Speaker 6: This is from a natural living spring where rich crystal
- 22:45Speaker 6: mineral based land, So it's got that life source in it,
- 22:48Speaker 6: packed with living minerals versus synthetic or induced or brought
- 22:54Speaker 6: in minerals.
- 22:54Speaker 4: You know, you can't beat gods very own.
- 22:56Speaker 6: So, like I said, the first thing is from a
- 22:58Speaker 6: living source, so it's life and the bottle, and then
- 23:01Speaker 6: the second thing far as alkalinity goes. For those who
- 23:04Speaker 6: don't know, it's based on the Pight scale, So seven
- 23:08Speaker 6: is neutral. Anything under seven is a city. Above seven
- 23:12Speaker 6: is alkaline. And at first I assume the higher the
- 23:16Speaker 6: alkalinity the better, but I come to find out that
- 23:20Speaker 6: you can get it too high. Our bodies usually resonate
- 23:22Speaker 6: around seven seven point one, seven point two, so you
- 23:25Speaker 6: want something that's kind of close to.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Your body levels.
- 23:28Speaker 6: So a lot of these waters you see in stores
- 23:31Speaker 6: nine nine point five and all of that good.
- 23:33Speaker 4: It's too high.
- 23:34Speaker 6: And that's usually an indicator that it's artificially induced. So
- 23:39Speaker 6: ours resonates around seven point five, which is a good
- 23:43Speaker 6: equalizer for your body.
- 23:44Speaker 2: What'sfely alkaline and spring water because spring is from a
- 23:47Speaker 2: natural source to it's from a spring, right, yeah, yeah.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Yeah, So any water source, the alkalinity or the acidity
- 23:53Speaker 6: is based on the pH. So a whale could be alkaline,
- 23:56Speaker 6: it could be a city. A spring could be alkaline,
- 23:59Speaker 6: it could be a city.
- 24:00Speaker 4: The spring.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Though.
- 24:02Speaker 6: The thing that's great about the spring is it's a
- 24:04Speaker 6: moving water source, so it's got that connecting energy. It's
- 24:07Speaker 6: got that energetic flow, that electricity in it, you know
- 24:11Speaker 6: versus whales can be good depending on the quality of
- 24:14Speaker 6: the land in the water, but it's still the spring
- 24:18Speaker 6: is moving, so it's got that electric energy.
- 24:21Speaker 1: When you said that the pH, if the pH is
- 24:23Speaker 1: too high in the alkaline water, what are the effects
- 24:25Speaker 1: Because I was noticing there, I'll drink some alkaline water
- 24:28Speaker 1: and I've got to go to the bathroom all the time.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It's like there's no point even drinking it. This is
- 24:33Speaker 1: which I realized was making me dehydrated. Yeah, because I
- 24:35Speaker 1: would drink the water and my body wouldn't retain it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Then I'll drink other water and it's not the same effect.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I'm actually retaining the water. I'm feeling better. Is it
- 24:44Speaker 1: because the pH level was too high? Is that one
- 24:47Speaker 1: of the part of it?
- 24:48Speaker 5: Is it being too high batteries of alkaline?
- 24:51Speaker 1: You know?
- 24:51Speaker 5: So I mean, you know, you just electric shocking your body.
- 24:54Speaker 5: So think of you know what happened.
- 24:56Speaker 7: Now it's got to expel you know what's not meant
- 24:58Speaker 7: to be there, whether it's the false man rules, whether
- 25:00Speaker 7: it's the pH being too high, because I mean, it's
- 25:02Speaker 7: good for your hair, your skin, your eyes, right, But
- 25:04Speaker 7: once you get too high, same way with the citity,
- 25:07Speaker 7: it begins to eat those things up. It begins to
- 25:09Speaker 7: go backwards. So your body is naturally going to begin
- 25:12Speaker 7: to reject what isn't needed, what isn't supposed to be there.
- 25:14Speaker 7: It's gonna fight, so it's gonna force you to get
- 25:16Speaker 7: it up out of there, but some of it is
- 25:19Speaker 7: gonna still stay. It's just gonna eat up your inside.
- 25:21Speaker 7: It's gonna eat up your organs over time. So when
- 25:23Speaker 7: you see something that's alkaline nine point five, I would
- 25:26Speaker 7: leave it on the table. I would, well, I'm going
- 25:28Speaker 7: to anyway, because we got live. But that's why it's
- 25:31Speaker 7: called live, because it's coming from a living source and
- 25:33Speaker 7: it's moving and you want something like that. So anything
- 25:36Speaker 7: done with the machines, like when people say they have
- 25:38Speaker 7: them in their houses, it's cool because I mean, it's
- 25:40Speaker 7: better than your tap. But to ingest it, I just
- 25:42Speaker 7: wouldn't suggest it because again you're gonna you're gonna reject it.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Let's due.
- 25:45Speaker 1: It is really an artist every line I'm here, I
- 25:49Speaker 1: wouldn't suggest it to ingest it become natural something.
- 25:53Speaker 5: Yeah, living sourceage.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Does this happen all?
- 25:56Speaker 1: Right?
- 25:57Speaker 2: You have do you just put the water from the
- 26:00Speaker 2: spring to the bottle? Does it have to get purified? Like,
- 26:03Speaker 2: is it a process that FDA requires to Absolutely?
- 26:06Speaker 6: Yeah, we do the basic FDA filtrations and all of that,
- 26:10Speaker 6: but yeah, we definitely keep it to a minimum because
- 26:13Speaker 6: the water is naturally like you can drink it right
- 26:16Speaker 6: out of the spring. But we do go through the
- 26:18Speaker 6: processing for the legalities and the corporate lanes that we
- 26:23Speaker 6: push into as well.
- 26:24Speaker 7: So yeah, and of course you got your people that
- 26:26Speaker 7: are what they call themselves, what the snobs and things
- 26:29Speaker 7: like that, So to make sure you know what's good
- 26:32Speaker 7: for everybody, because you got some people that want to
- 26:34Speaker 7: take it home and test it theyselves. I encourage it.
- 26:36Speaker 7: I just want you to record it and send me that,
- 26:38Speaker 7: you know at the same time. So yeah, do that,
- 26:41Speaker 7: but we do that especially for that.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:43Speaker 1: The first thing we started episode by saying, was it
- 26:46Speaker 1: be the glass. So talk about the importance of having
- 26:48Speaker 1: this in the class.
- 26:49Speaker 5: I know we grew up.
- 26:50Speaker 1: It was like there's other water brands that came in
- 26:52Speaker 1: those water bottles, and you recycle those water bottles. But
- 26:55Speaker 1: water sharely shouldn't be kept in plastic. Yeah, talk about
- 26:58Speaker 1: the important and they are drinking out the hose and sink.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Let's be let's be honest.
- 27:02Speaker 4: We'll talk about generation. Yeah, some of the best water
- 27:07Speaker 4: we had, what you mean?
- 27:08Speaker 7: But when you get to those plastics, so think about
- 27:10Speaker 7: a All right, so there's the BPA free plastic, right
- 27:13Speaker 7: you know, I mean, whereas it's not as soft. If
- 27:16Speaker 7: you can crush your plastic, if you can just get
- 27:18Speaker 7: that thing in your hand and crush it like that,
- 27:20Speaker 7: it ain't no good for you because for one, you
- 27:21Speaker 7: got the microfibers that's going to be in your water too.
- 27:24Speaker 5: As the sun is penetrating that thing.
- 27:26Speaker 7: The plastic is also going to be able to begin
- 27:28Speaker 7: to melt into your water, so that's why you have
- 27:30Speaker 7: that different type of taste. We do also bottle in plastic,
- 27:34Speaker 7: but it's BPA free, you know, which is a more
- 27:36Speaker 7: cost affordable option, you know.
- 27:38Speaker 5: For some of our audience.
- 27:39Speaker 7: Glass is the way though, you I mean, because you
- 27:42Speaker 7: don't have those fibers, you know, being and there's other
- 27:45Speaker 7: ways like we do also have like a can option
- 27:48Speaker 7: as well. Some people prefer like copper you know as
- 27:52Speaker 7: well for the energetic and magnetic feel of it, but
- 27:55Speaker 7: glass is really the way to go because you don't
- 27:57Speaker 7: have those fibers being bled into your water. Now you
- 27:59Speaker 7: do have, you know, be specific with your glass too,
- 28:01Speaker 7: because you know there's the lead you know thing which
- 28:03Speaker 7: I've just began to like get knowledge on as well.
- 28:07Speaker 7: But always suggesting the glass, especially for a living water source,
- 28:11Speaker 7: so you can keep that live and it's into it.
- 28:14Speaker 7: And I will say as well, even with the plastic,
- 28:17Speaker 7: it's freshly bottled weekly, so like a lot of the
- 28:19Speaker 7: other bigger corporations, it might be sitting in the warehouse
- 28:23Speaker 7: for three, four, five six months breaking down. So I
- 28:26Speaker 7: was just freshly bottled. It's not sitting.
- 28:29Speaker 2: So what's some challenges as far as being like an
- 28:32Speaker 2: independent water brand as opposed to most waters. It's owned
- 28:36Speaker 2: by like three companies, right, and they kind of have a.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Monopoly on it. So being independent, what's some of the
- 28:42Speaker 3: challenges that you face.
- 28:44Speaker 7: I think one of the challenges that I can think
- 28:46Speaker 7: of off top is, let's say, some of these other
- 28:50Speaker 7: companies who are million billion dollar companies, they getting their
- 28:54Speaker 7: bottles in mass quantities, so the cost of the bottles
- 28:59Speaker 7: is cheaper. So we're not getting them in those quantities,
- 29:01Speaker 7: so we are paying a different you know, price and
- 29:04Speaker 7: working our way into being able to get it in
- 29:06Speaker 7: such a mass way that we are also able to
- 29:08Speaker 7: bring the price down even for the customer, you know,
- 29:11Speaker 7: because while the idea is to make money, it isn't
- 29:13Speaker 7: to charge astronomical numbers and things of that nature.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Right.
- 29:17Speaker 7: So that's really one of the challenges at this moment,
- 29:20Speaker 7: which is becoming a good challenge because we are continuing
- 29:23Speaker 7: to increase, you know. So it's like, all right, we
- 29:26Speaker 7: got we need two thousand bottles. We got to figure
- 29:28Speaker 7: out how we're going to get that two thousand bottles
- 29:30Speaker 7: quick and in masks. But that was good to be
- 29:32Speaker 7: able to call on community, you know, with that as well.
- 29:34Speaker 7: But that's one of the challenges that I think of
- 29:37Speaker 7: right off top.
- 29:38Speaker 1: What's the most cost intensive part? Right If we have
- 29:41Speaker 1: the water, which is natural, is it the bottling? Is
- 29:44Speaker 1: it the trying to manufacture and export.
- 29:48Speaker 6: It balances out between the actual bottles, the labor force
- 29:54Speaker 6: and transportation. So initially, at first we're trying to go everywhere.
- 29:59Speaker 6: We're trying to be you know, worldwide, nationwide. But the
- 30:02Speaker 6: more we learn, the more it was like, no, we
- 30:05Speaker 6: need to hone in on our backyard right here. And
- 30:08Speaker 6: I'm doing certain numbers, like I think it was like
- 30:10Speaker 6: a study in twenty nineteen said American spending average of
- 30:13Speaker 6: ten dollars per month on bout the water. And then
- 30:16Speaker 6: I'm doing my you know, looking up the census numbers
- 30:18Speaker 6: and whatnot, and I'm seeing right here in the county
- 30:21Speaker 6: we end not even the state, the county we in,
- 30:24Speaker 6: it's over a million people, just black people. It's over
- 30:27Speaker 6: two hundred thousand. So I'm like ten dollars per month,
- 30:30Speaker 6: that's two million dollars monthly right in this county.
- 30:34Speaker 4: It's a million of us in the state.
- 30:35Speaker 6: That's ten million dollars monthly that we just as a
- 30:38Speaker 6: community value to the water company, the water industry. So
- 30:44Speaker 6: at that point it was like, rather than spending time
- 30:46Speaker 6: and energy that we going other places, let's double down
- 30:51Speaker 6: right here, you know. So we heavily concentrated on North Carolina,
- 30:55Speaker 6: South Carolina, Atlanta, surrounding areas Florida, and in Virginia and DC,
- 31:01Speaker 6: so basically the Southeast America. Instead of trying to be everywhere,
- 31:04Speaker 6: we're just trying to hone in on our backyard.
- 31:07Speaker 7: With him saying that, it makes me think of another
- 31:09Speaker 7: one of our challenges, which is shipping. So we good
- 31:12Speaker 7: in our area, but after something like this today or
- 31:16Speaker 7: after other places we've been, you're gonna have people in Cali, Portland, Maine,
- 31:20Speaker 7: and that shipping cost because I mean it's thirty four
- 31:25Speaker 7: pounds per case, you know of the water. So to
- 31:27Speaker 7: send out that Cali, you know, that's fifty dollars in
- 31:30Speaker 7: shipping if they want to pay it.
- 31:32Speaker 3: You know.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Now, of course we want to be able to you know,
- 31:34Speaker 7: get it to everybody, but just trying to figure out that,
- 31:38Speaker 7: you know, in the same way that one of these
- 31:39Speaker 7: other companies like an Amazon has a warehouse in these
- 31:42Speaker 7: other places and figuring out how to wearhouse and these
- 31:44Speaker 7: other places so that we can set up distributors that
- 31:47Speaker 7: can handle shipping and things like that and these other places.
- 31:50Speaker 7: But it's a challenge, but it's still one of those
- 31:54Speaker 7: good challenges of like, all right, they want it out there,
- 31:56Speaker 7: we really need to figure out how to get it
- 31:57Speaker 7: out there at a cost.
- 31:59Speaker 5: Effishent price you said the logistics that makes a lot
- 32:02Speaker 5: of sense.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I was thinking when you talked about this is a
- 32:04Speaker 1: living product, right, Obviously, is there a life expectancy of
- 32:08Speaker 1: how long the spring will be running or because I
- 32:12Speaker 1: know we've had a water episode before and they were
- 32:14Speaker 1: trying to how long that they expected that spring to
- 32:16Speaker 1: be live and functioning.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Is there a study on that one for y'all.
- 32:20Speaker 6: So generally we know it's like four major water veins
- 32:23Speaker 6: that flow into this spring. So to be honest, like
- 32:27Speaker 6: the whole state will probably be at a state of
- 32:30Speaker 6: emergency for water before we would be, you know, because
- 32:34Speaker 6: as long as it's raining, like it would have to
- 32:36Speaker 6: be a serious hard desert drought or something like that,
- 32:40Speaker 6: But long as it's raining, it's constant flow of this
- 32:44Speaker 6: natural system that's refueling itself.
- 32:46Speaker 7: It's coming from what like eight hundred feet on the
- 32:48Speaker 7: ground they did the sonic Yeah yeah, yeah, so yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 7: they'd have to drain the earth.
- 32:52Speaker 6: Yeah, it's on the foothills or the mountains of western
- 32:55Speaker 6: North Carolina, so it's like a lot of waters being
- 32:58Speaker 6: concentrated to perfect that's perfect.
- 33:00Speaker 3: How did he get how did the owner? How did
- 33:02Speaker 3: he originally acquire the land?
- 33:04Speaker 4: So, I mean so far back we don't even really know,
- 33:07Speaker 4: but it was an indigenous family there, so they literally
- 33:10Speaker 4: got nobody ever took it.
- 33:12Speaker 6: So he said it was originally like six thousand acres
- 33:14Speaker 6: that they were occupying, and it's down to some few
- 33:18Speaker 6: hundred of a thousand or something, you know. So yeah,
- 33:21Speaker 6: it has been different chunks being taken out, you know,
- 33:25Speaker 6: but at this point it's been this thousand that's been
- 33:27Speaker 6: maintained and there's been generations that it went dormant, but
- 33:34Speaker 6: he came back rebirthed the life into it. But yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 6: at this point, this corner that we maintained and now
- 33:40Speaker 6: they've had far back as they know, you know, over
- 33:43Speaker 6: four hundred years.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:44Speaker 1: So one of the things with logistics is you got
- 33:47Speaker 1: to get partnerships. See the first black owned water company
- 33:51Speaker 1: to be inside of Walmart. How did this relationship come about?
- 33:55Speaker 1: How did y'all force that? How y'all maintaining that?
- 33:58Speaker 6: So that was right before we connected with the actual
- 34:01Speaker 6: land and the CEO running it. But he said his
- 34:04Speaker 6: actual goal was to use that as a launching pad
- 34:08Speaker 6: for validation for certain people and for that promo, but
- 34:12Speaker 6: he kept it limited to a few in Florida because
- 34:15Speaker 6: his real goal was to keep it grassroots and deal
- 34:18Speaker 6: directly with the people. You know, So we are real
- 34:20Speaker 6: big on the director consumer, although we do do deals
- 34:24Speaker 6: in partnerships with stores and different businesses. But just for example,
- 34:29Speaker 6: in the lane we in and what we're doing with
- 34:31Speaker 6: it wouldn't even be needed if he went nationwide with Walmart,
- 34:34Speaker 6: the it would have just been him and Walmart making
- 34:36Speaker 6: all the money. So saluting him, but yeah, he's created
- 34:40Speaker 6: a blessing of a lane for a lot of young entrepreneurs,
- 34:43Speaker 6: movers and shakers to be able to find our space
- 34:45Speaker 6: in this and.
- 34:47Speaker 7: You find that, you know, sometimes all people need that validity.
- 34:50Speaker 7: So even though you know, we not into Walmart anymore
- 34:52Speaker 7: because of whatever type of clauses they had contractually. It's
- 34:55Speaker 7: like you say that to somebody, like let's say we've
- 34:57Speaker 7: in it somewhere and you say, the first black water
- 35:00Speaker 7: company to enter a Walmart and they like huh and
- 35:03Speaker 7: they stop right there. So sometimes you can still use that,
- 35:05Speaker 7: you know, and then you know they get the rest
- 35:07Speaker 7: of the story and everything from there.
- 35:09Speaker 2: What's the process to actually make the water? Like how
- 35:11Speaker 2: many people have to be employed? Is it like like
- 35:15Speaker 2: there's a plant, like from the spring to the bottle?
- 35:18Speaker 3: What's the process?
- 35:19Speaker 6: So it's like a big water tank truck come to
- 35:22Speaker 6: the land, plug up to the system. Often well they
- 35:27Speaker 6: come so it's a few different lanes of distribution. So
- 35:31Speaker 6: on the MAD scale that's probably once a week, once
- 35:34Speaker 6: every other week, and it's like six thousand gallons worth
- 35:38Speaker 6: that'll you know, come plug up and take it to
- 35:40Speaker 6: the plant and then they making all types of other
- 35:42Speaker 6: stuff with it, drinks, juices, We got a protein tea
- 35:46Speaker 6: drink that we just released.
- 35:49Speaker 7: Sparkling water with different flavors blood, orange, pineapple, ginger, cucumber, mint,
- 35:53Speaker 7: and lemonade.
- 35:55Speaker 6: Right, and then there's other companies that white label because
- 35:57Speaker 6: we got the source, so you can put whatever a
- 36:00Speaker 6: name on it.
- 36:01Speaker 4: You know, so y'all out there, you know, let's partner up.
- 36:05Speaker 6: But nonetheless, so they got a few people on the
- 36:09Speaker 6: on the grounds at the factory that received the water.
- 36:12Speaker 6: Once it comes in, they plug it up to the factory,
- 36:14Speaker 6: run the bottles through the system. So I don't know
- 36:17Speaker 6: exactly it's a few people in there, but being at
- 36:19Speaker 6: a mainly machines, you just got a few people doing
- 36:22Speaker 6: a mass production and stacking up the boxes on pallets
- 36:26Speaker 6: and things of that nature. Then we got the smaller
- 36:28Speaker 6: operation on the land where were directly bottling on the land,
- 36:32Speaker 6: and that's a little more labor intensive where we because
- 36:36Speaker 6: what equals the machinery at the factory, we got an
- 36:39Speaker 6: equal and man power on the land when we're doing
- 36:42Speaker 6: our smaller scale things. So I actually started a young
- 36:46Speaker 6: entrepreneurs in training program and I got three young brothers
- 36:51Speaker 6: that been a monumental help that's been helping us label
- 36:55Speaker 6: package like them two.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Thousand bottles we had to bring down there.
- 36:58Speaker 6: We had about four days to label by hand two
- 37:02Speaker 6: thousand bottles bottless up.
- 37:04Speaker 5: Okay.
- 37:05Speaker 7: We did a special label to earn your yeah yeah, yeah.
- 37:08Speaker 4: We did the invest vest labels on them and all
- 37:10Speaker 4: of that so we had to do that by it.
- 37:12Speaker 4: But yeah, that was a grind. We called in everybody
- 37:14Speaker 4: just on that order alone.
- 37:16Speaker 6: We probably had a good eight to ten people on labeling, bottling, package.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Storing, and four of us ran the booth all weekend.
- 37:27Speaker 1: As y'all have, I mean, obviously turned out for the brand.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Sure has your role inside the brand change. It feels
- 37:33Speaker 1: like you started out as like, hey, here it's how
- 37:36Speaker 1: I can add value almost one internship basis, but now
- 37:38Speaker 1: it feels like, y'all, what is the exact role that
- 37:41Speaker 1: you have now since y'all didn't turn this thing up?
- 37:43Speaker 6: Yeah, so again another situation of us just lending our
- 37:48Speaker 6: love and labor without really asking for all, right, what
- 37:53Speaker 6: we're gonna get? All right, we know we're doing the sales,
- 37:56Speaker 6: and we get our price point for the wholesale price,
- 37:58Speaker 6: and we get our profit off the sale. But we're
- 38:01Speaker 6: doing more than just selling. We promote in, we ambassador in,
- 38:05Speaker 6: we're doing a lot. So he actually gave us some
- 38:08Speaker 6: steak in the company, you know. So that was a
- 38:10Speaker 6: beautiful blessing which gave us more motivation to go even
- 38:13Speaker 6: that much further and harder.
- 38:14Speaker 1: You know.
- 38:14Speaker 7: So the equity plus yeah, but even with that, it's
- 38:18Speaker 7: anything we want to do. So we host festivals and
- 38:20Speaker 7: retreats and everything on the property, so it's not a
- 38:24Speaker 7: matter of overhead. It's like we are in full control
- 38:28Speaker 7: of that as long as we just kick something back
- 38:29Speaker 7: to the land, which we have a percentage that we discussed.
- 38:33Speaker 7: But I tell people all the time, like people waiting
- 38:36Speaker 7: for God to come down with this magical voice and
- 38:39Speaker 7: be like, now is your time to do this? I'm like, nah,
- 38:41Speaker 7: sometimes he's speaking opportunity. So it was the opportunity with
- 38:44Speaker 7: the water, and now it's a whole nother opportunity with
- 38:46Speaker 7: the land all together, you know, from the festivals that
- 38:50Speaker 7: we host, to the farmers market now that we have open.
- 38:53Speaker 5: Because it's not just the water.
- 38:54Speaker 7: It's cucumbers, mushrooms, collar greens, kill care, it's beats. So
- 39:01Speaker 7: it started with the water and it bloomed into everything
- 39:04Speaker 7: that the water actually you I mean helps produce, you know,
- 39:08Speaker 7: so it's bigger than water.
- 39:10Speaker 3: How much is the water?
- 39:12Speaker 7: The glass bottles are four dollars, you're doing by the
- 39:14Speaker 7: case for forty Our plastic bottles are three dollars each.
- 39:17Speaker 7: We do a case of twenty four for forty five
- 39:20Speaker 7: or on subscription, we do it for forty dollars and
- 39:22Speaker 7: we shipping deliver all over the country. We also do
- 39:25Speaker 7: gallons as well, so the gallons are seven dollars each.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Or four for twenty.
- 39:29Speaker 3: The gallons coming plastic.
- 39:31Speaker 7: They come in plastic, and we're working on that glass.
- 39:33Speaker 7: You know, we need more people that need it in glass,
- 39:36Speaker 7: you know, because that's a whole different type of logistical thing.
- 39:39Speaker 7: And then we do the five gallon containers as well.
- 39:42Speaker 7: And we have a special right now called we are
- 39:44Speaker 7: the Gold which is something we started what was that
- 39:47Speaker 7: about ten Yeah, where we had David Banner host that
- 39:50Speaker 7: experience and I was doing something with Miss Black America.
- 39:53Speaker 7: But we are the Gold Special with twenty dollars for
- 39:56Speaker 7: the five gallon container and we bring it right to
- 39:59Speaker 7: your doorste up. Currently, we only really doing that in
- 40:02Speaker 7: the Southeast area because we we drop off your new
- 40:05Speaker 7: one and then replace your old one, and so it
- 40:07Speaker 7: it'll be hard for us to do that in Minnesota
- 40:08Speaker 7: or Cali, you know, until we got the infrastructure set up,
- 40:12Speaker 7: which is the future that's part of our plan, you know,
- 40:14Speaker 7: moving forward.
- 40:15Speaker 5: But yeah, that we are the Gold Specials.
- 40:17Speaker 3: What's still subscription.
- 40:19Speaker 7: Just go to the website twenty dollars monthly dollars a
- 40:23Speaker 7: month for that five gallon now forty for the case
- 40:26Speaker 7: of the twenty four pack and we ship and deliver that.
- 40:29Speaker 7: For the five gallon containing us either twenty five or
- 40:32Speaker 7: twenty on subscription for that we are the Gold Special YEP.
- 40:35Speaker 6: Go to Heavy Energy University dot com, backslash, Live dash Alkaline,
- 40:40Speaker 6: or you can go to our Instagram at live alkaline NC.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Go to the Lincoln bio shit.
- 40:45Speaker 1: They said that the bottling water business is a three
- 40:49Speaker 1: hundred billion dollar business here, three hundred.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Growing every year, billion every year growth.
- 40:54Speaker 1: It might feel like it's surprised to people, but it
- 40:56Speaker 1: makes a lot of sense when you talk about these
- 40:58Speaker 1: major corporations that do the violin. I wonder is the
- 41:01Speaker 1: sailing the selling of the water as profitable or equally
- 41:05Speaker 1: as possible profitable as potentially white labeling for other people
- 41:09Speaker 1: in bottling?
- 41:10Speaker 5: How does that vary right now?
- 41:12Speaker 7: Because we don't do a lot of white labeling, you
- 41:14Speaker 7: know at this second, I think, but white labeling is
- 41:17Speaker 7: on the way and we encourage it because we like,
- 41:19Speaker 7: we're not in competition with whoever else got water all
- 41:21Speaker 7: these other companies are literally right beside each other.
- 41:24Speaker 5: We the source. So come bottle your water.
- 41:27Speaker 7: If you got a company somewhere, come bottle it and
- 41:30Speaker 7: put your name on it, Slap your name on it.
- 41:32Speaker 7: Bottling and whatever bottle you want to, come holler at
- 41:35Speaker 7: the plug. So yeah, right now, our most profit is
- 41:39Speaker 7: definitely coming from the bottling you know, ourselves.
- 41:42Speaker 5: But if you want your own water, see.
- 41:44Speaker 4: What I just did that? See what I just did that?
- 41:46Speaker 4: We need that profession for sure.
- 41:49Speaker 5: I mean you throw the oop. We got a dunke
- 41:50Speaker 5: it from there.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:51Speaker 6: Fact, so the sky's the limit. We're looking for big contracts.
- 41:54Speaker 6: We could fulfill any level, you know, all levels. We
- 41:58Speaker 6: do thousands of gallons in the day.
- 42:00Speaker 2: So they say like it's a water crisis, scarcity in
- 42:04Speaker 2: the world, and then some people say that that's not true.
- 42:08Speaker 2: It's just that how it's being monopolized by corporations is
- 42:11Speaker 2: causing scarcity of water. What's your thoughts on this whole
- 42:15Speaker 2: water scarcity crisis.
- 42:17Speaker 7: I think it's definitely a matter of you know, the
- 42:19Speaker 7: monopoly of it, right, and if you fear always makes
- 42:24Speaker 7: people move in emotional ways, right, So if you talk
- 42:28Speaker 7: about it's a water crisis. Now you just got random
- 42:30Speaker 7: people going out and buying as much water as they
- 42:33Speaker 7: can possibly stock. And it's like, oh yeah, if it's
- 42:36Speaker 7: a water crisis, then what is that gonna do, because
- 42:39Speaker 7: you're gonna run out of that, you know. But they
- 42:42Speaker 7: just force some people to buy more water at one time,
- 42:45Speaker 7: which they can then use that and flip that money
- 42:47Speaker 7: and do whatever they're gonna do with it.
- 42:50Speaker 5: I ain't gonna say that.
- 42:51Speaker 7: I don't believe that there's not some sort of crisis
- 42:53Speaker 7: because we always have the dumping of trash in the
- 42:57Speaker 7: water and oil and things of that theatre as well.
- 43:01Speaker 2: So talk about that, like how does that impact because
- 43:03Speaker 2: that's a big thing. The pollution of our waterways from
- 43:07Speaker 2: oceans to rivers to lakes.
- 43:08Speaker 3: It's a lot of pollution.
- 43:10Speaker 5: Or even your Flint, Michigan like situations.
- 43:12Speaker 7: Right, So, we had a situation back home where I mean,
- 43:15Speaker 7: it's happening in East Greensboro, it's happening all over the country.
- 43:18Speaker 7: So on one of our partners, you know, we had
- 43:20Speaker 7: a situation where we were going to neighborhoods and literally
- 43:22Speaker 7: giving the water away, you know, and making sure people
- 43:25Speaker 7: were getting supplied, you know, with the water as well.
- 43:27Speaker 7: That increased some of ourselves in another way because other
- 43:31Speaker 7: people were donating to the calls, you know, so they
- 43:35Speaker 7: were essentially paying for the water and then ordering water
- 43:37Speaker 7: for themselves, you know, at the same time. So we
- 43:41Speaker 7: didn't like use that as a sales tactic, but I
- 43:43Speaker 7: mean we recognized that, like, as we were giving it away,
- 43:46Speaker 7: people were also wanting to support because sometimes people all
- 43:49Speaker 7: want to be a part of something.
- 43:50Speaker 5: It's why they tithe in church, right, you know.
- 43:52Speaker 7: They want to feel good about where their money going,
- 43:54Speaker 7: and it's cool this is a place to do that.
- 43:56Speaker 7: But as those things are beginning to happen for us,
- 44:00Speaker 7: it's a matter of how do we attack that on
- 44:03Speaker 7: our end, how do we make sure that people are
- 44:05Speaker 7: getting you know, water as well, but also in the
- 44:07Speaker 7: same way that people are Like every five cent of
- 44:10Speaker 7: the water that you buy goes towards this cause it's
- 44:12Speaker 7: a similar situation. We haven't pushed it like that, but
- 44:15Speaker 7: it's like you know, letting people know, like as you
- 44:17Speaker 7: buy and as you increase, we are still supplying and
- 44:20Speaker 7: giving away water to places where people need the water.
- 44:22Speaker 7: So it's really a way to be able to like
- 44:24Speaker 7: utilize that unfortunately, But I mean it's there.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Yeah, y'all have I mean, this is groundbreaking, and it
- 44:31Speaker 1: seems like the information is just like ready and available.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I know people come to y'all for the water, but
- 44:37Speaker 1: do people come to y'all for the education part as well?
- 44:39Speaker 1: Because absolutely there's plenty of I'm sure natural springs throughout
- 44:43Speaker 1: the country. People don't really understand how to tap into
- 44:46Speaker 1: that and make that something that could be a business
- 44:48Speaker 1: or profitable. How many people are coming to y'all for
- 44:51Speaker 1: the education?
- 44:52Speaker 5: Man?
- 44:52Speaker 6: Pointing of this, let me say, the funny thing is
- 44:55Speaker 6: when I said I first made that connection and I
- 44:57Speaker 6: took two months to study that was doing the pandemic
- 45:00Speaker 6: on the back of the George Floyd's situation and the
- 45:03Speaker 6: Black Lives Matter and all that in twenty twenty, and
- 45:06Speaker 6: I took them two months to study. And by the
- 45:08Speaker 6: time I jumped off, the only question was how much
- 45:12Speaker 6: the point I'm like, hey, I did all this studying,
- 45:15Speaker 6: like I wanted some more questions at that point. But furthermore,
- 45:19Speaker 6: the further we got along, especially certain spaces and demographics,
- 45:23Speaker 6: may inquire and have more questions, but some people come
- 45:28Speaker 6: with the curiosity, And then you got the people that
- 45:31Speaker 6: come just to support because they love our mission and movement.
- 45:34Speaker 6: So I got this one lady in particular, she came like, look,
- 45:37Speaker 6: I despised drinking water. I don't drink water. I'm gonna
- 45:40Speaker 6: just buy some to support. That became one of our
- 45:44Speaker 6: best customers. That was like, Yo, where y'all at?
- 45:46Speaker 4: I need my water?
- 45:47Speaker 6: And next thing, you know, she's telling us about how
- 45:49Speaker 6: she's feeling better and she had some kidney issues and
- 45:53Speaker 6: she was saying the doctor was telling her, whatever you're
- 45:55Speaker 6: doing different, keep doing it, you know. So you got
- 45:58Speaker 6: some people who are directly in acquiring for the knowledge.
- 46:01Speaker 6: Then you got some people that just stumble into the
- 46:03Speaker 6: knowledge because we make them a believer, you know.
- 46:06Speaker 4: So well, yeah you got anything to add to that?
- 46:09Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 4: People.
- 46:11Speaker 7: So because that there are other springs where people are like,
- 46:15Speaker 7: well we can go to the water, go there and
- 46:17Speaker 7: just get the water, will make it different. And I
- 46:19Speaker 7: just I don't know about that other space. I just
- 46:22Speaker 7: let them know and educate them deeply about our water.
- 46:25Speaker 7: But there are other people that have land that are like,
- 46:27Speaker 7: all right, well, how do I go find a spring
- 46:30Speaker 7: on my land?
- 46:30Speaker 5: Or I have a spring? You know how do we
- 46:32Speaker 5: you know, go about doing that.
- 46:33Speaker 7: So because we are in this lane, I do get
- 46:35Speaker 7: a lot of those different type of questions of people
- 46:37Speaker 7: that have landing, like well, how do I discover water?
- 46:40Speaker 5: I'm like, dig.
- 46:44Speaker 3: I mean, that's what I got, So what's the what's
- 46:47Speaker 3: the plan to scale?
- 46:49Speaker 6: So in my mind, the first the next immediate thing,
- 46:53Speaker 6: we just drilled down like our main concentrated areas, So
- 46:57Speaker 6: we got like eight different area years that we want
- 47:00Speaker 6: to build hubs at. So locking in our storage and
- 47:03Speaker 6: warehousing and locking in our distribution team around that, and
- 47:08Speaker 6: then up in the ante on the promotion. So we
- 47:10Speaker 6: got a goal and our Bigger than Water campaign to
- 47:13Speaker 6: get five thousand monthly subscribers spending twenty dollars monthly for
- 47:17Speaker 6: our million dollar playing you know, but ultimately we're going
- 47:21Speaker 6: to be approaching hotels, grocery stores, all of that. But
- 47:25Speaker 6: I'm really trying to crack the code on this director
- 47:28Speaker 6: consumer model and really locking in our five thousand loyal subscribers.
- 47:34Speaker 1: You know, you mentioned it, and you mentioned it as well,
- 47:38Speaker 1: it's Bigger than Water thing you kind of mentioned in
- 47:40Speaker 1: different ways, like you said it was a campaign, but
- 47:42Speaker 1: y'alls just more felt like it was. This is more
- 47:44Speaker 1: than just a water company. This is more of like
- 47:47Speaker 1: a lifestyle. I heard a little bit about agriculture as well.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Talk to both of y'all really what the phrase means
- 47:55Speaker 1: and with the purpose behind it.
- 47:56Speaker 7: Yeah, Well, because sometimes people look at when they get
- 47:59Speaker 7: what they like, it's just water. All water tastes the same.
- 48:01Speaker 7: We like, Nah, it's bigger than water. This is about
- 48:04Speaker 7: a lifestyle. This is bigger than the taste. This is
- 48:06Speaker 7: about what you're putting in your body, you know, and
- 48:09Speaker 7: how it's gonna affect your body. So what those other
- 48:11Speaker 7: waters got going on is not what this has going on.
- 48:14Speaker 7: So it's bigger than water. This is you don't put
- 48:16Speaker 7: the same type of gas in this car that you
- 48:18Speaker 7: put in this type of car. You a premium car,
- 48:20Speaker 7: ain't you? So you better put premium water in your body.
- 48:23Speaker 7: But we also, like you said, we're on a crystal
- 48:25Speaker 7: mineral based body of land. So the minerals in the
- 48:28Speaker 7: water is one hundred percent natural pH balance naturally, but
- 48:31Speaker 7: think about what's happening with the crops that are also
- 48:33Speaker 7: grown on that same land that that water is coming from.
- 48:36Speaker 7: So it's bigger than water, which is why we have
- 48:38Speaker 7: a situation called the Bigger than a Farmer's Market farmers Market,
- 48:42Speaker 7: because it ain't just a farmer's market. You're gonna come
- 48:44Speaker 7: there and get your mushrooms, you could pick out your
- 48:45Speaker 7: colleague greens. You're gonna see other type of vendors. But
- 48:48Speaker 7: it's also gonna be workshops there. There's also we have
- 48:50Speaker 7: a huge fire pit where we do a situation called
- 48:52Speaker 7: fire for Therapy where people come do poetry, share stories
- 48:56Speaker 7: and things like that. But the water bring them there.
- 48:58Speaker 7: It's bigger than water. So have a festival that we
- 49:01Speaker 7: do called the Alkalin Festival's three days and two nights
- 49:05Speaker 7: of live music, yoga, meditation, camping, bonfire, food trucks, vendors
- 49:09Speaker 7: and more.
- 49:10Speaker 5: But it all started with the water. It's bigger than water,
- 49:13Speaker 5: you know.
- 49:13Speaker 7: So people come there for that and they get an
- 49:15Speaker 7: entirely different holistic experience and all of the inspirational messages
- 49:20Speaker 7: and things that we've heard from people that have come
- 49:22Speaker 7: and experienced that. Because we build showers out there because
- 49:26Speaker 7: people are going to be there for three days and
- 49:27Speaker 7: two nights, so people need to wash, but they are
- 49:31Speaker 7: showering into alkaline water as well, so they're not just
- 49:34Speaker 7: drinking it, they showering in it.
- 49:36Speaker 5: It's bigger than water.
- 49:37Speaker 7: Your skin is your most exposed organ so what are
- 49:41Speaker 7: you putting on your skin as well?
- 49:42Speaker 5: It's bigger.
- 49:43Speaker 7: So people are starting to really understand, you know what
- 49:47Speaker 7: we say when we say that it ain't just a
- 49:49Speaker 7: water company. It started there, that was the seed, but
- 49:51Speaker 7: the harvest is much more grand than that. You have
- 49:54Speaker 7: the food, you have a space where you can come
- 49:56Speaker 7: and release. You know, you have the festivals and things,
- 49:59Speaker 7: but all started with the water facts.
- 50:02Speaker 4: And I'll just add to that where.
- 50:05Speaker 6: We got this summer program that we do a steam
- 50:08Speaker 6: program where we get the kids out, they learn about agriculture,
- 50:12Speaker 6: we build the garden boxes, doing entrepreneurship, arts, financial literacy,
- 50:18Speaker 6: and just all things survival skills based, you know, so
- 50:21Speaker 6: learning how to operate this land where we can put
- 50:24Speaker 6: ourselves in a position to be independent and self sufficient
- 50:27Speaker 6: in real life. And then so the youth and the
- 50:30Speaker 6: education is the major thing because we're literally building community.
- 50:34Speaker 6: So the foundation or where we started with Soul Academy
- 50:38Speaker 6: is really coming to life where we got a community
- 50:40Speaker 6: for these kids to dwell in, like to.
- 50:43Speaker 4: Be running through this land free man.
- 50:45Speaker 6: They don't be knowing where they iPads and phones are
- 50:47Speaker 6: add on this land because it's just endless acreage that
- 50:51Speaker 6: they can just run with limitless boundaries, you hear me.
- 50:55Speaker 6: And then the last thing I'll say in reference to that,
- 50:58Speaker 6: the more we push and move the water, we'll come
- 51:01Speaker 6: back to the land. It's fifteen fruit trees that we
- 51:03Speaker 6: need to plant. It's a new machinery that we got
- 51:07Speaker 6: to activate some more of this land. Like we can
- 51:09Speaker 6: actually see where the fruit.
- 51:11Speaker 4: Of our labor is going.
- 51:12Speaker 6: And it ain't just for the CEO to put in
- 51:15Speaker 6: his pocket and do him like he literally protecting this land.
- 51:19Speaker 6: He denying one hundred million dollar deals, hundreds of million
- 51:22Speaker 6: dollar deals to buy this land. And we see him
- 51:26Speaker 6: putting this land in places and spaces that's gonna feed
- 51:29Speaker 6: not just him, like he gonna be over to enjoy
- 51:31Speaker 6: some of these fruit trees, but these fruit trees gonna
- 51:34Speaker 6: live long past his lifetime, you know. So I see
- 51:37Speaker 6: he's actually reininvesting the money into the community, you fear me.
- 51:42Speaker 6: And ultimately we won't know what none of these other
- 51:46Speaker 6: corporations doing. They probably doing the same thing with their
- 51:48Speaker 6: family compound. But we ain't never gonna be at their
- 51:51Speaker 6: family compound though you fear me, but y'all can come
- 51:54Speaker 6: to ours though, right.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I want to thank you guys for coming in telling
- 51:58Speaker 2: them the website for Instagram all that man.
- 52:02Speaker 6: Well, first off, again, I want to salute y'all official

- 52:15Speaker 6: resources and information to the people for years on end.
- 52:18Speaker 6: You know, I was just telling Rashad about a message
- 52:22Speaker 6: I stumbled into. I ain't even I wasn't even looking
- 52:25Speaker 6: for it. I was searching in my Instagram messages the
- 52:27Speaker 6: other day and I seen a message. I hit him
- 52:29Speaker 6: in like twenty eighteen just to say, salute y'all doing
- 52:32Speaker 6: y'all thing off the beginning, you hear me. But yeah,
