- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables. I tried to fart and then
- 0:03Speaker 1: I'm like, we care that? Nah, that's something else, something
- 0:07Speaker 1: that's now I gotta go. So I run upstairs and
- 0:09Speaker 1: go to the toilet and I pulled my pants down
- 0:12Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, good thing I decided. But dude,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I shut it.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Really wait when you were downstairs try yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I was like, what the hell you shut yourself? Yeah? Yeah,
- 0:27Speaker 1: yeah yeah, And so I was like what, So I like,
- 0:29Speaker 1: weikly got on a dress. I jumped in the shower
- 0:31Speaker 1: and then Beth came up and she heard the shower
- 0:33Speaker 1: and she was like, did you shut your did you
- 0:35Speaker 1: shit your pants? And I was like no, no, no.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Relatable relat.
- 0:51Speaker 2: The Reliables podcast is hosted by myself, Audie Clark ak mummy.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Oh what oh she stole my line? Sorry, keep going.
- 1:01Speaker 2: And my partner in Crhyme is the Jake Craig aka
- 1:05Speaker 2: do you want to say your own name? Daddy geez,
- 1:10Speaker 2: not his mummy because he can't keep his fucking mouth
- 1:13Speaker 2: shut and let me talk. And Jake is daddy because
- 1:17Speaker 2: he's a loving father, yes to his loving dog Henry.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't even bring him up. I just so
- 1:24Speaker 1: I just saw a photo of him sent into a
- 1:25Speaker 1: group chat we have with the people looking after him.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I think I'm going to cancel my calendar trip next year.
- 1:33Speaker 1: With three weeks here has didn't too much. Yeah, guys,
- 1:36Speaker 1: we're still in Bali.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yes, this is the final episode of Bali.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It's been a great trip. The final week. Yeah, Patreon
- 1:45Speaker 1: and book Club this week will also both be in Bali.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I saw some people say they thought we were like
- 1:52Speaker 2: changed our setup.
- 1:53Speaker 1: No, we're in a completely different setup. This is, I mean,
- 1:56Speaker 1: to be fair similar if you wouldn't, but even it
- 1:59Speaker 1: could look one hundred completely different and people could just think, oh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: that had a bit of change of mind. Yeah true,
- 2:03Speaker 1: why not? But so, as we just said, we're in Bali.
- 2:09Speaker 1: We've been here for so I from today, I believe
- 2:14Speaker 1: I have like five more days, and so that means
- 2:17Speaker 1: I've been here for just over two weeks, right, because
- 2:20Speaker 1: my trip's three weeks? And how long have so from today?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Do you still have better week or more than I have?
- 2:28Speaker 1: About thirteen days left? Oh Jesus Christ, I've been here
- 2:31Speaker 1: for like ages too. I'm doing thirty two Damn are
- 2:37Speaker 1: you missing home? Now? He's still good no, I'm still chilling.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I don't have a dog.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Nah, you don't have a dog to miss and my
- 2:43Speaker 2: mom and dad they're children.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You don't have to worry about them. You don't have
- 2:46Speaker 1: to worry about them. But okay, so last week, do
- 2:50Speaker 1: you remember how you were talking about in Bali, it's
- 2:55Speaker 1: not uncommon to get you know, a little bit of
- 2:58Speaker 1: the bubble and your tummy, and so you do defecate
- 3:04Speaker 1: about three times more than you would at home. Deficate
- 3:08Speaker 1: deficate Is that your word of the week. It's the
- 3:12Speaker 1: word of the week. So I have a bit of
- 3:15Speaker 1: a story. Okay, okay, just keeping that in mind from
- 3:19Speaker 1: for everyone to keep in mind. So the other day
- 3:24Speaker 1: it was it might've been like Saturday morning, Beth and
- 3:30Speaker 1: I were about to go somewhere, and at home I
- 3:35Speaker 1: usually do it, but here especially, I don't like to
- 3:39Speaker 1: leave the villa or the house or whatever without like
- 3:44Speaker 1: the first initial time of leaving the house, and most
- 3:46Speaker 1: times leave the house, I don't like to leave without
- 3:48Speaker 1: at least attempting to go to the toilet because it's
- 3:51Speaker 1: one of those it's usually with a case of you know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: you're eating all this pretty bad food for you, and
- 3:57Speaker 1: so as soon as it comes on, it comes on quick,
- 4:00Speaker 1: and there's no build up. I swear.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I wake up every morning and my dummy's like.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Yeah, you just you just have to ship. Yeah. So
- 4:09Speaker 1: I don't like leaving the house about at least an attempt, okay.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And so the other day where we have to we're
- 4:16Speaker 1: about to leave and Beth like gets a helmet and
- 4:17Speaker 1: stuff on, and I'm like, oh, oh no, I gotta
- 4:21Speaker 1: try it. And she's like I just got She's got
- 4:24Speaker 1: my helmet on. So I'm standing there and I'm like, oh,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you know, it could I could just be a fart, right,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I could be fat. And so I try to fart
- 4:31Speaker 1: and then I'm like yeah that nah, that's something else.
- 4:35Speaker 1: That's something that's now I gotta go. So I run
- 4:37Speaker 1: upstairs and go to the toilet and I pull my
- 4:39Speaker 1: pants down and I was like a good thing I decided,
- 4:43Speaker 1: But dude, I shut it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Really wait when you were downstairs try yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I was like, what the hell? You shut yourself? Yeah? Yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 1: yeah yeah, And so I was like what the So
- 4:57Speaker 1: I like quickly got a dress, I jumped in the shower,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and then Beth came up and she heard the chair
- 5:01Speaker 1: and she was like, did you shut your did you
- 5:03Speaker 1: shit your fants? And I was like no, no, no,
- 5:08Speaker 1: was it bad like a lot? No, it wasn't bad.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Like And the crazy thing is is I've always and
- 5:14Speaker 1: I feel like, you know, everyone who's been alive for
- 5:17Speaker 1: however many years, you kind of know when you shouldn't
- 5:20Speaker 1: fart because there's going to be a follower. But to
- 5:22Speaker 1: be fair, you did it for love your girlfriend. I
- 5:25Speaker 1: try time and I was like, not one single bit
- 5:31Speaker 1: of me thought that that would happen. And I was like,
- 5:33Speaker 1: have I fully lost control? Because it didn't feel, it
- 5:38Speaker 1: didn't sound, it didn't because you know what I mean,
- 5:41Speaker 1: like sometimes you're about to go and then you're like, nah,
- 5:45Speaker 1: this one and I need to sit on sweat for
- 5:46Speaker 1: this one because it's gonna spray. And I just didn't
- 5:49Speaker 1: even think that for a second and it just happened.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It was you definitely lose a little bit of bower
- 5:54Speaker 1: control and balle fucking lost all that.
- 5:56Speaker 2: One of the downsides is like you can't eat healthy.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Here's something about it's just not the same that your
- 6:01Speaker 2: body's used to.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I said, that's so true. I said the other day
- 6:07Speaker 1: to Beth oh Man. We had just finished eating like
- 6:10Speaker 1: two cookies each, right, And I was like, oh, I'm
- 6:14Speaker 1: so excited to get home and just get back to eating,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you know, my diet, my good food. And she goes
- 6:21Speaker 1: you say that as if someone's going to a gun
- 6:22Speaker 1: to your head forcing you to eat all these cookies.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And I was when in Row and I was like, yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I was like, well, I'm not I refuse to eat healthy.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's not you're not going to be back
- 6:34Speaker 2: here for at least like another year, yeah, a year,
- 6:37Speaker 2: maybe two.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you never know.
- 6:38Speaker 2: You've got to soak it all in exactly the things
- 6:41Speaker 2: you tell yourself.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And so I've convinced myself that while I'm here, it's
- 6:44Speaker 1: like a waste of time to not eat delicious food.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And so because when I'm back home, I eat the
- 6:49Speaker 1: most boring stuff because, as I've said before, I was
- 6:52Speaker 1: doing that low fodmap thing for my stomach. But here,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I mean we order, if we order four cookies, there
- 6:58Speaker 1: is no way one's.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Getting I always think to myself, like, I'll save one
- 7:03Speaker 2: gets to it.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Nah. Oh but it's fuck. It is just that's a
- 7:09Speaker 1: good way to start. Man. I'm glad.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I'm glad I've been waiting for a story like this
- 7:12Speaker 2: for a long time.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I had to let you know. I had to let
- 7:15Speaker 1: you know, and I just I haven't. I just haven't
- 7:18Speaker 1: even been really close to pop my pants for a
- 7:20Speaker 1: long time. So I don't know how long it'll be
- 7:21Speaker 1: to a proper confession session out of me, but I
- 7:24Speaker 1: was halfway there.
- 7:25Speaker 2: One other thing I'm keen to get back to Australia
- 7:27Speaker 2: is the stories. When you gotta go, you gotta go.
- 7:29Speaker 2: We can't call any.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Batties here, No, it's just a bit tricky unless all
- 7:32Speaker 1: the baddies are on WhatsApp. It's a bit hard.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you could do it like Facebook or Instagram, bit techy,
- 7:38Speaker 2: but don't it. Baddie's up Next is Dilemmas. If you
- 7:48Speaker 2: want to get one of your dilemmas read, it will
- 7:50Speaker 2: be linked in the description or linking bio on Instagram.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Scroll the bottom and dilemmas in is in there. And
- 7:56Speaker 2: one other thing, one big thing, Jake, I mean, if
- 7:59Speaker 2: you really want to get a dilemma to answered, we
- 8:01Speaker 2: have you have your own personal dilemmas over on Patreon
- 8:04Speaker 2: with a.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Lot less, a lot less submissions.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Yeah, way, bigger chance that you're going to get your
- 8:10Speaker 2: dilemma red and also on Patreon for cheeky five dollars.
- 8:15Speaker 1: It's cheap as chips.
- 8:16Speaker 2: You get an next episode every single week, and the
- 8:18Speaker 2: book club early and video reacts to whatever we're watching
- 8:21Speaker 2: at the time. We just finished the Summer Returned Pretty,
- 8:24Speaker 2: and all the bad it is are telling us we
- 8:25Speaker 2: should watch Bridgeton.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I mean, I do agree with that, but again, I
- 8:30Speaker 1: think I said it last week. How many seasons of
- 8:33Speaker 1: Bridgeton are out? And because I hate playing catch up?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Good question.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I think it's been out a lot longer than the
- 8:38Speaker 2: Summer Return Pretty, but still it's got a lot of
- 8:41Speaker 2: hYP around it.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Bridgington reactions. Okay, let's see. I guess it's five three three,
- 8:46Speaker 1: same as the Summer Return Pretty. Tell you what we
- 8:49Speaker 1: could do that? I feel like that's doable. Apparently there's
- 8:51Speaker 1: like a lot of sex in it. Yeah, Bridgeston is
- 8:53Speaker 1: like a romantissy on screen apparently, and apparently each season
- 8:59Speaker 1: is a different couple. You know what, fuck it, let's
- 9:02Speaker 1: do let's do it.
- 9:03Speaker 2: That's what we're doing on Patreon. But Dilemma's I'll kick
- 9:07Speaker 2: things off all right. No title for this one. But
- 9:11Speaker 2: very relatable. I related to this one quite a lot.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I'm in my late twenties and I've been dating my
- 9:16Speaker 2: boyfriend for about seven months. Things are going really well,
- 9:19Speaker 2: and we're planning to move in together next year. Here's
- 9:22Speaker 2: my dilemma. I recently told him how much I miss
- 9:25Speaker 2: going through the gym in brackets. I've been away on
- 9:28Speaker 2: field work and out of my gym routine, and he
- 9:32Speaker 2: immediately said he'd love to join me once I'm back.
- 9:35Speaker 2: The thing is, I have always been an independent girly,
- 9:38Speaker 2: and the gym has always been my me time. I
- 9:41Speaker 2: love waking up early and being in my own zone.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We already share a lot of active hobbies, which tbh,
- 9:47Speaker 2: was already out of my comfort zone because I like
- 9:50Speaker 2: to say I am very independent. Together like biking and hiking,
- 9:54Speaker 2: which I really enjoy, but the gym is me time,
- 9:57Speaker 2: and him asking this makes me feel smothered. I don't
- 10:00Speaker 2: want him to feel shut out or rejected, but I
- 10:03Speaker 2: also don't want to give up my independence.
- 10:05Speaker 1: How would you approach this situation?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Also, he of course almost didn't know what, of course mean,
- 10:10Speaker 2: I'm getting old, can still go to the gym. I
- 10:13Speaker 2: just don't want that to be a thing where we
- 10:14Speaker 2: go together and have to plan it.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Oh, I mean, I guess yeah. Relatable, very relatable when
- 10:21Speaker 1: she says she felt smothered, though I was thinking smothered.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Fuck youl Is he like controlling as fuck?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Well, I guess it's just like one more thing and
- 10:31Speaker 2: she's already given up like high King via King and
- 10:34Speaker 2: they do so much together.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It was relatable for.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Me though we're in a friendship sense, because I would
- 10:42Speaker 2: prefer to gym by myself. Then when my friends ask,
- 10:44Speaker 2: I make up an excuse, not that I don't want
- 10:46Speaker 2: to go with you, but I'm like, it is my
- 10:47Speaker 2: me time and I'd like to put my tunes in
- 10:49Speaker 2: not talk to people. Sometimes, like every blue moon, I
- 10:52Speaker 2: like to go with someone that's relatable.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I got to say, like, I mean, if I go
- 10:57Speaker 1: with you, it's good because we'll just go to gym
- 11:00Speaker 1: together and then ninety percent of the time do a
- 11:03Speaker 1: different workout, so it's like it is what it is.
- 11:05Speaker 1: But that's because you and I I guess, like we
- 11:09Speaker 1: hang out so much that if we go to the gym,
- 11:11Speaker 1: we don't need to do the work out together. But
- 11:12Speaker 1: if a friend is asking you to go to the gym.
- 11:14Speaker 1: They obviously want to work out with you and do
- 11:16Speaker 1: the exact same workout and they want to catch up
- 11:18Speaker 1: that ask me to go for a fucking dinner or
- 11:21Speaker 1: something instead. But because but I'm the same, I don't
- 11:25Speaker 1: like working out. Yeah, I feel like the gym is
- 11:28Speaker 1: not the place. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Beth
- 11:30Speaker 1: and my open to the gym maybe twice together, but
- 11:32Speaker 1: we did different workouts.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I've been with casting, worked out with her like once
- 11:35Speaker 2: or twice.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Didn't like it.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Girls work out very differently in the men and she
- 11:39Speaker 2: gives me.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Sh she's look, what are you doing? I'm like, what
- 11:41Speaker 1: do you do? I'm doing? Do you want me to
- 11:44Speaker 1: have muscles or not? Do you want me to man's playing?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Man's playing? How high purpose that works? Okay? Wait, okay,
- 11:53Speaker 1: So I'm trying to think here, do you think he
- 11:58Speaker 1: would get offended if she just said to him I honestly,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I just want to do this one alone.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I feel like, because she's sent this dilemma in, she
- 12:11Speaker 2: thinks he will yes. Yeah, okay, because in my relationship,
- 12:15Speaker 2: I'll be like Cassie, I want to go by myself.
- 12:18Speaker 1: A I just want to hang up with myself and
- 12:20Speaker 1: listen to music. Yeah. Fair. She probably the same most
- 12:23Speaker 1: of the time too. Yeah, but it.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Also comes down to your attachment style and the relationship,
- 12:27Speaker 2: and maybe you haven't voiced how independent you are and
- 12:31Speaker 2: how much you value your independence to him, So he's
- 12:34Speaker 2: unbeknownst to how you feel because he's thinking like, oh, see,
- 12:38Speaker 2: we're going on hikes together, we're going biking, and you're
- 12:40Speaker 2: giving something up. But he's like, oh, this is just
- 12:43Speaker 2: what our relationship is.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I would say unbeknownst as the word of the week,
- 12:46Speaker 1: but I don't. I know, it's not no, it's not no,
- 12:48Speaker 1: it's not okay. Yeah, honestly, all right. Could the issue
- 12:56Speaker 1: be not the fact that she's feeling smothered, but the
- 13:00Speaker 1: fact that obviously or not obviously, but I feel like
- 13:05Speaker 1: I can put two and two together. She probably hasn't
- 13:07Speaker 1: sat down and had a conversation with him that she
- 13:09Speaker 1: really likes her independence.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I think so, And the fact that it's seven months
- 13:13Speaker 2: kind of alludes to that. And also, this is a
- 13:16Speaker 2: great time to practice your communication skills in the relationship
- 13:19Speaker 2: because he's unknowing, and then you're also feeling smothered as
- 13:22Speaker 2: a result of not necessarily losing your independence, but because
- 13:26Speaker 2: of the situation as a whole, in your relationship as
- 13:29Speaker 2: a whole, because he doesn't really know what's going on, not.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Giving him the benefit of that. But he's not really
- 13:33Speaker 1: doing anything wrong either, No, I mean no, yeah, I
- 13:35Speaker 1: mean from the information we've been given, it doesn't certainly
- 13:37Speaker 1: doesn't sound like it.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah, because you see plenty of relationships he might like
- 13:41Speaker 2: his previous relationship. He loves doing everything together. Yeah, and
- 13:44Speaker 2: he just needs to sit down and have a conversation
- 13:45Speaker 2: and understand he doesn't, but his.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Previous relationship did, so that's what he thinks. Yeah, you
- 13:52Speaker 1: guys need to maybe Okay, even though she sent this
- 13:57Speaker 1: in because there's a good chance she is a little
- 14:00Speaker 1: worried about how he'll take it, that's probably all the
- 14:03Speaker 1: more reason to talk to him about it, because if
- 14:06Speaker 1: you if you go to talk to him about it
- 14:08Speaker 1: and he takes it terribly, then I mean not to
- 14:13Speaker 1: say you should end it right then and there, but
- 14:15Speaker 1: it's like, are you very what's the word when two
- 14:21Speaker 1: people work out together? Palatable? Palatable? Yeah, it works, soul mates? Soulmates?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Do you work Wait? What's the word? I don't know
- 14:30Speaker 1: when so Beth and I wear a compatible compatible maybe
- 14:36Speaker 1: you're not very compatible.
- 14:39Speaker 2: True, and you've probably worked so hard to get this
- 14:41Speaker 2: independence and you shouldn't just like give that away so
- 14:45Speaker 2: easily and worried about his feelings. Yeah, yeah, and it's
- 14:50Speaker 2: such a valuable thing and you should really like put
- 14:54Speaker 2: a lot of fucking now I've lost the word too,
- 14:58Speaker 2: a lot of emphasis emphasis.
- 14:59Speaker 1: On how how much you value it. We really well
- 15:02Speaker 1: you finish each other sence. Okay, here's where I'm thinking. Then,
- 15:06Speaker 1: So that's good advice. But I actually think the advice
- 15:11Speaker 1: I'm going to give is sit him down and just say, like,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, we've been together seven months blah blah blah
- 15:20Speaker 1: blah blah, or actually, no, I've been doing this lately,
- 15:23Speaker 1: ripped a bandit off. Don't hit him with something nice,
- 15:25Speaker 1: don't hit him with a compliment sandwhich fuck that shit.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Hit him straight up with like, hey, I want to
- 15:30Speaker 1: be more independent, and just like sit him down and
- 15:34Speaker 1: be like, I just want to be more dependent.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I really value my independence. We're hanging out too much.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Yeah, leg like, just I really want to be independent.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Sometimes I want to go do x hobby on my own.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Sometimes I want to go do why hobby on my own. Yeah, exactly.
- 15:44Speaker 1: And if he takes that as oh, I'll just let
- 15:47Speaker 1: to do everything on our own, then then he's kind
- 15:48Speaker 1: of immature. Yeah exactly. But there's going to be times
- 15:51Speaker 1: where you do want him there, and I don't know
- 15:54Speaker 1: if he if he asked to go one time, and
- 15:56Speaker 1: if you asked to go one time and they're just like, no,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I just want to go on my own. I just
- 16:00Speaker 1: feel like there's nothing wrong with that, not at all.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, right, if he reacts terribly that it's kind of toxic.
- 16:07Speaker 2: If you go I want to go on my own,
- 16:08Speaker 2: he's like, well, you don't want to do.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Things with me? Off there, make new hobbies together. Yeah,
- 16:14Speaker 1: keep your old hobbies as your own, because that's where
- 16:16Speaker 1: you are. You what's about setting boundaries. The gym is
- 16:19Speaker 1: your boundary, and you need to voice that to him.
- 16:21Speaker 1: That's all as simple as it is.
- 16:22Speaker 2: And maybe you've let your boundaries down a little bit
- 16:25Speaker 2: with the hiking and biking and stuff, and now you
- 16:27Speaker 2: can also be like and look, upon reflection, I've realized
- 16:30Speaker 2: that I also want to bike by myself.
- 16:32Speaker 1: If you're holding me back. But you're allowed to change
- 16:37Speaker 1: your mind. Like you tested the waters. Yeah, nah, I
- 16:41Speaker 1: see it. And also, once you guys move in together,
- 16:44Speaker 1: it's a pretty good chance when you say you want
- 16:45Speaker 1: to go to the gym, he's going to say go
- 16:47Speaker 1: for it, because he's also going to want to lean
- 16:48Speaker 1: to He wants.
- 16:49Speaker 2: A me time exactly. And this is good to get
- 16:51Speaker 2: out before you move in together.
- 16:52Speaker 1: So I think sit him down, straight up and just
- 16:55Speaker 1: be like one hundred percent honest, because why wouldn't you be?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Honesty is some times brutal, but you're being honest. That's
- 17:03Speaker 1: all he could ever ask for. He doesn't want you
- 17:04Speaker 1: to sit there and lie to him and then not
- 17:06Speaker 1: enjoy and then you not enjoy yourself. No, So just
- 17:10Speaker 1: be one hundred cent honest. I agreed, Okay, okay. In
- 17:13Speaker 1: my turn dilemma, the title is how responsible should I be?
- 17:19Speaker 1: The past ten years, I've worked my ass off, putting
- 17:22Speaker 1: myself through college and then law school here in America.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I am now a licensed attorney, but the job I
- 17:29Speaker 1: work at pays me significantly less than other law firms
- 17:33Speaker 1: in town, and I only make half as much as
- 17:36Speaker 1: my roommate, who doesn't work nearly as hard as I do.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Quit I love the people I work with, but I'm
- 17:42Speaker 1: extremely burned out all the time. I took off two
- 17:45Speaker 1: days from work for the first time in the last
- 17:48Speaker 1: year because I get no vacation time as a single
- 17:52Speaker 1: woman at twenty eight. There's a part of me that
- 17:54Speaker 1: just wants to quit and do something easy going for
- 17:56Speaker 1: a while, sorry, for a year, while I try to
- 18:01Speaker 1: somehow manage to pay off the hundreds of thousands of
- 18:03Speaker 1: dollars I now have in school debt. I've seriously considered
- 18:07Speaker 1: moving to Australia for a year. Basically, what I'm asking is, one,
- 18:11Speaker 1: should I throw away all my hard work to the
- 18:14Speaker 1: wind to do something unhinged for a year? Two? Do
- 18:18Speaker 1: I need a different job? Or Three? Am I just
- 18:20Speaker 1: in serious need of a vacation and a good night's rest.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Oh not the dilemma I thought it was going to be.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But honestly, this is relatable because you're looking at it
- 18:31Speaker 2: all wrong, completely wrong.
- 18:33Speaker 1: I mean, you could start off with number three, to
- 18:35Speaker 1: be completely fair. Yeah, but I guess that's like the
- 18:39Speaker 1: lowest risk one you could start with. That.
- 18:42Speaker 2: How she's looking at it is I'm throwing away all
- 18:44Speaker 2: this schooling and all this money I put into myself
- 18:46Speaker 2: you're not throwing away anything.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You know, think about the experience.
- 18:49Speaker 2: You've still got the qualifications for one. But you had
- 18:52Speaker 2: to do that to learn what you like. Hmmm, Like
- 18:54Speaker 2: that's invaluable even though you have so much debt, even
- 18:57Speaker 2: though it took ten years.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:58Speaker 2: And also I think what you should do is one
- 19:00Speaker 2: hundred percent if you have a little something in your
- 19:03Speaker 2: heart that's saying go to Australia for a year, go
- 19:05Speaker 2: do it.
- 19:06Speaker 1: And if you like it.
- 19:06Speaker 2: You don't know what opportunities will come here, but just
- 19:08Speaker 2: come back to a different law firm, because that one
- 19:10Speaker 2: sounds terrible.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I honestly, I'm also thinking, like why not just change
- 19:14Speaker 1: law firms and get double the money? Yeah, because she
- 19:17Speaker 1: says she's making half as other law as half the
- 19:20Speaker 1: amount of money of other law firms. People. My thinking
- 19:22Speaker 1: about this, right is so I would consider what she's
- 19:28Speaker 1: done to be followed through, right, Yeah, Like she has
- 19:31Speaker 1: followed through. She finished the schooling. She has the debt
- 19:34Speaker 1: that sucks, yeah, but like she finished the schooling and
- 19:37Speaker 1: now she is an attorney and where she's currently at
- 19:39Speaker 1: she's not enjoying it, or she does. She likes people,
- 19:41Speaker 1: but it's too much work, which is fair. We weren't
- 19:45Speaker 1: made to work for that long. And if you go
- 19:48Speaker 1: to Australia, it just if you want to go with
- 19:52Speaker 1: the thought of being there for a year, but keep
- 19:56Speaker 1: in mind you're allowed to fucking go home. Everyone everyone
- 20:00Speaker 1: always is like, I want to go and I want
- 20:02Speaker 1: to follow through on my travels that I said I
- 20:04Speaker 1: was going to do, or like the year in Australia
- 20:07Speaker 1: or the year abroad, and I have to say, you've
- 20:10Speaker 1: put too much pressure on yourself. We always say it.
- 20:12Speaker 2: This whole dilemma is kind of feeling like you're a
- 20:16Speaker 2: failure if you don't continue with this thing you've studied for,
- 20:20Speaker 2: or if you go to Australia and then come back
- 20:22Speaker 2: six months early, you feel like a failure.
- 20:25Speaker 1: But you're not failing anyone, Yeah at all.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Genuinely, who do you fail? Yeah, it's a good question.
- 20:32Speaker 2: It's kind of like the point, it's like what other
- 20:34Speaker 2: people will think of you? Yeah, oh no, yeah, you're
- 20:36Speaker 2: Everyone does everything based off what other people think.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Because you say I'm going to go to Australia for
- 20:40Speaker 1: a year and then you come back six months later
- 20:42Speaker 1: and you're thinking your head, I told everyone a year,
- 20:44Speaker 1: they're gonna think'm gonna loseer, Like it's relatable, and like
- 20:46Speaker 1: who's actually going to come up to you and say, oh,
- 20:49Speaker 1: I can't believe you didn't finish the year. What a failure?
- 20:52Speaker 2: And also like who's going to say to you like
- 20:53Speaker 2: I can't believe you're a lawyer anymore?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Like you could just be like I wasn't happy, legit. Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Imagine if some one says the couple, if you're not
- 21:00Speaker 1: a lawyer anymore, you've wasted your time, and then you're
- 21:03Speaker 1: just like, yeah, well I wasn't happy. If that's not
- 21:05Speaker 1: a good enough answer for someone, that person needs to
- 21:08Speaker 1: fucking get it. It also comes down to like.
- 21:13Speaker 2: How you view life and what you want out of
- 21:14Speaker 2: life and kind of like your morals, because to me,
- 21:18Speaker 2: happiness takes over all. Like I would prefer to be
- 21:21Speaker 2: happy making coffees five times a week, then studying my
- 21:25Speaker 2: ass off for something I don't believe in or that
- 21:27Speaker 2: stresses me out just because that's what society has told
- 21:30Speaker 2: you to do, yeah, or it's.
- 21:33Speaker 1: What you started and then you were like, I don't
- 21:34Speaker 1: want to I don't want to fail it. It's about
- 21:36Speaker 1: finding like happiness and balance I guess because you can
- 21:39Speaker 1: do these things and push yourself to the limits, which
- 21:41Speaker 1: I really really like.
- 21:42Speaker 2: But then also you have to find the line where
- 21:45Speaker 2: you're pushing too hard and your body is like, oh no,
- 21:48Speaker 2: I don't want to go down this route, but you
- 21:49Speaker 2: just keep pushing and pushing and pushing. It is funny,
- 21:52Speaker 2: and your body's telling you something like I need to
- 21:53Speaker 2: get out of here and try something new.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I would listen to it. Yeah, facts you know, it
- 21:58Speaker 1: would be scary as if one of us was just like,
- 22:01Speaker 1: it's podcast something just stain its podcasts just ain't it,
- 22:06Speaker 1: and we're just fucking to take our own advice. It's
- 22:12Speaker 1: not hard, No, it's not. It's really not. It's not
- 22:16Speaker 1: like hard work. I guess. I'm thinking about it like,
- 22:20Speaker 1: if I started to dislike it, I would definitely just
- 22:24Speaker 1: I would push through for a bit. But then I
- 22:28Speaker 1: guess it's within our power to change a few things
- 22:31Speaker 1: to make it enjoyable. If we stop joy it's in
- 22:33Speaker 1: our power because we're our bosses. I think, baby steps,
- 22:37Speaker 1: go take a fucking six week holiday and then come
- 22:39Speaker 1: back and reassess. Have some time for your brain to think.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Opposite end of the spectrum life's about perspective or whatnot,
- 22:46Speaker 2: and this might change how you view your career or
- 22:51Speaker 2: what you want to do. I always like when I
- 22:53Speaker 2: was gardening or doing something like, I didn't like it
- 22:55Speaker 2: that much. I enjoyed it to a certain extent, but
- 22:57Speaker 2: I always thought like, maybe it's not the healthy his technique.
- 23:00Speaker 2: But I used to lab when I was like, that sucked.
- 23:02Speaker 2: At least I'm not doing that, and that that would
- 23:05Speaker 2: help me through the day. And like maybe if you
- 23:07Speaker 2: have six weeks off and you're thinking like, oh, I
- 23:09Speaker 2: could do this, I could do that. If you think
- 23:11Speaker 2: fuck lawyering is the worst thing I could ever be doing,
- 23:13Speaker 2: I'm as well do this. Or if you might think,
- 23:16Speaker 2: oh I used to I don't know, I used to
- 23:18Speaker 2: work in hospitality.
- 23:19Speaker 1: That was the worst thing ever. It's all about your perspective.
- 23:22Speaker 1: It's a good point. Yeah, Like what are you passionate about?
- 23:24Speaker 2: I guess the I reckon baby steps. Six weeks off,
- 23:27Speaker 2: maybe longer.
- 23:28Speaker 1: See what you want to I agree with, So I
- 23:30Speaker 1: say I can quit. Yeah, Like, I think what you
- 23:33Speaker 1: should do is quit the firm you're at right, go
- 23:38Speaker 1: for a holiday. You might even be able to kill
- 23:40Speaker 1: every single bird of one Stone about it, right, So
- 23:42Speaker 1: quit the firm you're at, go for a holiday to Australia,
- 23:47Speaker 1: and then if you love Australia, just don't buy a
- 23:50Speaker 1: fucking return ticket or you have to get a visa.
- 23:54Speaker 1: You'd have to work at your visa. But from America
- 23:56Speaker 1: to Australia, that's got to be easy. Yeah, I reckon
- 23:58Speaker 1: the holiday is the way to go. And I also
- 23:59Speaker 1: want to put emphasis on society and the government. I
- 24:03Speaker 1: guess it is the education systems put so much pressure,
- 24:07Speaker 1: so much pressure on young adults because like, right now,
- 24:11Speaker 1: I bet you what's in the back of her head
- 24:12Speaker 1: is I can't quit because I've got such a big debt. Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 1: that's such a good point. That my start and that's
- 24:18Speaker 1: for everyone. Every single person who studies claout just always
- 24:20Speaker 1: over your head, doesn't it.
- 24:21Speaker 2: They finish with their degree and then they're like, ooh,
- 24:24Speaker 2: I've got I've never even seen sixty thousand dollars, eighty
- 24:27Speaker 2: thousand dollars, a hundred thousand dollars, but now I've got
- 24:29Speaker 2: it in debt.
- 24:30Speaker 1: That thinks you know what is actually crazy that the
- 24:34Speaker 1: government lets kids without a job get into hundreds of
- 24:38Speaker 1: thousands of dollars of debt. Yeah, and then they go, well,
- 24:42Speaker 1: there's a housing crisis, so if you don't have a
- 24:45Speaker 1: million dollars, you can't buy a house either. Yeah, like
- 24:48Speaker 1: they'll let a kid get into hundreds of thousand dollars
- 24:52Speaker 1: of debt. I was lucky.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I was doing exercise physiology before I quit for this podcast.
- 24:57Speaker 2: When I started to work, I had a five grand debt.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I did three months five k.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow, that doesn't seem like that much, to be
- 25:03Speaker 1: completely fair, I guess it's not like a fucking law degree.
- 25:06Speaker 2: No, no, no, but I think it accumulates over time. I
- 25:09Speaker 2: think at the end of it, mine was going to
- 25:10Speaker 2: be like sixty eight or something.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Shit, that is so much money. It might have been
- 25:13Speaker 1: a subsidized one.
- 25:14Speaker 2: And that's type of thing. Yeah, and it's a hex.
- 25:16Speaker 2: It's called a hex's that. I assume every country has
- 25:19Speaker 2: the equivalent.
- 25:20Speaker 1: It's good. I'm so glad. I think that's one of
- 25:24Speaker 1: the perks of trades. Yeah. They pay you to be there. Yeah. See,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I got paid to go to tape. Yeah. I get
- 25:30Speaker 1: paid to go to my school. I don't know why
- 25:32Speaker 1: education isn't that And there's too many people going to
- 25:34Speaker 1: university now because our parents and their generation has said,
- 25:40Speaker 1: if you've got to UNI, you're going to be successful.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Yeah, And now there's all these people getting these degrees
- 25:43Speaker 2: and they're coming out of it, and I really like
- 25:46Speaker 2: that anymore.
- 25:46Speaker 1: It's not many jobs I think, like back in the day,
- 25:48Speaker 1: it used to be like that though, right, if you
- 25:50Speaker 1: were properly educated, you actually did very well. Now everyone's
- 25:53Speaker 1: probably educated, but true, I guess, like everyone from high
- 25:55Speaker 1: school is pretty well educated. But also it's just more
- 25:57Speaker 1: of a maybe the Internet change things, no idea AI,
- 26:01Speaker 1: who the fuck knows, but I mean, I guess think
- 26:03Speaker 1: about it, the Internet did change things YouTube, oh fucking Spotify, music,
- 26:09Speaker 1: being a podcast, Like you don't actually need a degree
- 26:12Speaker 1: to make money anymore. Oh yeah. From our perspective, I saw,
- 26:14Speaker 1: I don't know if it was a dilemma or a
- 26:17Speaker 1: DM and someone was saying, we've never experienced this, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: we like AI because it makes our lives easier. But
- 26:23Speaker 1: these people who have been through this mainstream education system
- 26:28Speaker 1: have learnt something that's already out of date. And then
- 26:31Speaker 1: someone's coming in.
- 26:32Speaker 2: With AI and it makes their job completely irrelevant or
- 26:38Speaker 2: many of the roles in their job, which they've been
- 26:40Speaker 2: taught for three four years irrelevant and you're like, holy shit,
- 26:44Speaker 2: it's so terrible in that type of version.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Fuck, dude, that is so true. On the topic of AI,
- 26:52Speaker 1: have you seen that there is an AI actress no
- 26:58Speaker 1: and human being managers and agents want to sign her, really,
- 27:07Speaker 1: an AI actress. It's crazy. And I was just thinking
- 27:11Speaker 1: as I found out about it. Maybe I think it
- 27:15Speaker 1: was the other day. I think I was with like Beth,
- 27:17Speaker 1: Cassie and Viv at that market and they were talking
- 27:20Speaker 1: about this. So do you see that, you know that actress,
- 27:22Speaker 1: that AI actress wants that people want to sign And
- 27:25Speaker 1: I was just thinking, that is at least three steps
- 27:28Speaker 1: too far from ridiculous. That is three steps too far
- 27:30Speaker 1: from me open AI or whatever it's called a chatjebyt
- 27:34Speaker 1: I am fully on board with Chatgebeyt. I'm so fine
- 27:37Speaker 1: with that. Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Well, I think that's an extension of Google exactly.
- 27:40Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. It's like it is my new Google. Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 1: But once they make a literal digital AI human that
- 27:48Speaker 1: is an actor and people want to sign it. But
- 27:52Speaker 1: like when you pay the actor, right, So let's just
- 27:54Speaker 1: say some manager gets signed by this AI person or
- 27:58Speaker 1: this manager signs the AI actress. First of all, is
- 28:01Speaker 1: the AIE actual artificially intelligent enough to actually make that
- 28:05Speaker 1: decision for herself? Or is it whoever created the AI actress? Right?
- 28:09Speaker 1: And then once she does become sentient, what's she gonna do?
- 28:14Speaker 1: Fucking She's probably gonna file a lawsuit because they were
- 28:16Speaker 1: just making decision for her for a whole life and
- 28:17Speaker 1: the whole world's gonna crumble.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Well, that is a big moral dilemma, terrifying. If she
- 28:22Speaker 2: can make decisions for herself or if it's the creator.
- 28:25Speaker 1: If she can make decisions for herself and she's AI,
- 28:27Speaker 1: she's also already the smartest thing on the planet. Yeah, exactly.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I think we're very far away from that, but I
- 28:33Speaker 1: know if we are, it's kind of scary. We are
- 28:36Speaker 1: flying cars before that. I don't want all this stuff, honestly,
- 28:40Speaker 1: I would much. I want flying cars too. That stuff
- 28:43Speaker 1: scares me. Hey, I would prefer interplanetary fucking what's it
- 28:47Speaker 1: called civilizations?
- 28:48Speaker 2: Yeah, like a colonization, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Like a colony on Mars.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I want to be like Red Rising. So if they
- 28:55Speaker 1: made slaves, but I hope we gave you some good advice, baddie. Yeah,
- 29:00Speaker 1: what were we talking about? AI?
- 29:08Speaker 2: All right, Batties, we are back with Field versus Field,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and today Jake, we're talking all about relationship expectations. Let's
- 29:17Speaker 2: goay alrighty, So on regular apps, we're exclusive right after
- 29:23Speaker 2: three dates.
- 29:25Speaker 1: And how you own a toothbrush at their place.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Compared to Field looking for casual, open or long term.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Everyone's on the same page. Field's about connection on your terms,
- 29:38Speaker 1: there's no pretending. There's no need to write your profile
- 29:41Speaker 1: like a job application and pretend to be what someone
- 29:44Speaker 1: else wants. Download Field and meet people who match your
- 29:47Speaker 1: vibe from day one. Link is in the description. Wow,
- 29:56Speaker 1: Batties up next, you got ig question? We switched up
- 29:59Speaker 1: the order this week on you Sneaky Sneaky. We weren't
- 30:04Speaker 1: where where we might have been where we weren't going
- 30:06Speaker 1: to do it. Yeah, we always do it, always do it.
- 30:08Speaker 1: This week's question is beyond appearance? What makes someone truly
- 30:13Speaker 1: attractive out of that surface level stuff? Yeah? Okay, a
- 30:18Speaker 1: little bit deep, okay, okay, this one. Let me know
- 30:23Speaker 1: if you even understand this hand placement where they placed
- 30:28Speaker 1: their hand in all capitals as well do you get it.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I have no idea what hand placement means. I think
- 30:34Speaker 1: it means where they place their hand when they interact
- 30:36Speaker 1: with you, maybe on himself or herself. I was thinking
- 30:41Speaker 1: her or on I don't know her. I don't know.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I have no idea it was. I have no idea.
- 30:49Speaker 1: That's why I asked you, well, I think, yeah, I
- 30:51Speaker 1: think it's hand placement to like lower back, upper quad
- 30:55Speaker 1: like that quad.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, were touching it, fucking kneecaps.
- 31:00Speaker 1: No, I'm like a here type with permission of callse
- 31:06Speaker 1: I'm like a here type of guy.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeahah yeah yeah, behind closed doors, it gets to me higher, okay,
- 31:15Speaker 2: beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive?
- 31:19Speaker 1: How they treat other people facts? Yeah, agreed, How they
- 31:23Speaker 1: treat a server, yeah, waitress, A lot of those ones.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I think it tells a lot about a person, just
- 31:28Speaker 1: like how much they value the interaction and other people's
- 31:31Speaker 1: lives around them. Yeah, and just like kind of general respect.
- 31:35Speaker 2: It puts a sour taste in my mouth when you
- 31:38Speaker 2: see someone treat like a wayter in particular, or anyone
- 31:41Speaker 2: any interaction and they like do something bad or a
- 31:43Speaker 2: rude or obnoxious and you're.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Like, Oh, you're a weird person, aren't you. I be honest,
- 31:48Speaker 1: I like it would make me anxious to be rude
- 31:53Speaker 1: because of the confrontation of it. I've had people be
- 31:56Speaker 1: rude to me when I worked at a restaurant, and
- 32:00Speaker 1: I just think, like it makes me anxious to think
- 32:03Speaker 1: that they can just like do that.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I don't know why I could never hate, Like, even
- 32:08Speaker 2: if someone was rude to me, Like something within me,
- 32:11Speaker 2: isn't there.
- 32:12Speaker 1: To be like, hey, yeah, don't do that. I don't
- 32:14Speaker 1: know if for something that's just like kind of maybe
- 32:17Speaker 1: like being scared a confrontation, But even if a waiter
- 32:22Speaker 1: like spilt a drink on me, I'll be like, oh,
- 32:24Speaker 1: like sorry, I got on your way.
- 32:27Speaker 2: I'm even this is in the digital world. I'm too
- 32:30Speaker 2: scared to say something in person because we're in BALI.
- 32:32Speaker 2: I've been leaving a lot of reviews. Oh yeah, and
- 32:35Speaker 2: even if it's not the best, holy a great review.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:39Speaker 2: I like to support the business because I'm thinking, like,
- 32:41Speaker 2: this could really impact the business if I leave at
- 32:43Speaker 2: four instead of five, So I'm like five out of
- 32:46Speaker 2: five best experience.
- 32:48Speaker 1: She talks about when she gets reviews at the cafe
- 32:50Speaker 1: she manages, and every now and then she gets a
- 32:53Speaker 1: bad one. Maybe they had an off day or something,
- 32:56Speaker 1: and it's just it is the funniest thing to me
- 32:59Speaker 1: that people will go in and write a bad review.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I know, and I one time got when I had
- 33:06Speaker 1: my Troopie. I went to a smash repair place to
- 33:08Speaker 1: get some rust fixed and they said that so I
- 33:13Speaker 1: paid like thousands of dollars. It was a four thousand Troopies,
- 33:16Speaker 1: a big full driver in early here. Yeah, so four
- 33:18Speaker 1: thousand dollars right, And when I picked it up, they go, yep,
- 33:22Speaker 1: you know, it's probably last night, another five years, and
- 33:26Speaker 1: I was like sick. Six months later, rust back. But
- 33:31Speaker 1: right after I picked it up and he said it's
- 33:32Speaker 1: gonna last five years, and it looked great. I left
- 33:34Speaker 1: a good review and it went back, and so I
- 33:37Speaker 1: didn't go back. But when the rust came back, I
- 33:39Speaker 1: wanted to go change my review, but it was locked
- 33:42Speaker 1: in and Google wouldn't let me. I should have left
- 33:45Speaker 1: another one update. Six months later, I couldn't. Fuck. I
- 33:48Speaker 1: was trying my best. I was like, fuck, these guy's
- 33:50Speaker 1: a fucking I never really bad reviews either.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I guess it's where your line is so like at
- 33:57Speaker 2: a cafe, for example, if it's a bad experience, I've
- 33:59Speaker 2: lost twenty dollars. If I've lost four thousand, I'm leaving
- 34:05Speaker 2: a bad review. I think my line's maybe like yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 2: over two fifty, okay, that's my life.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Also for something in Bali, they ask for reviews, a
- 34:14Speaker 1: Google review. That's what I look for when I'm done
- 34:17Speaker 1: a cafes or restaurant. Good reviews. Yeah. And even so
- 34:21Speaker 1: when they ask, I think, like, even if it wasn't
- 34:24Speaker 1: that good, I say yeah, yeah, yeah, and so I go.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I leave five stars. The vibes were great, the atmosphere
- 34:30Speaker 1: was great. I just say great about everything, just because
- 34:32Speaker 1: I'm thinking, like what they may yeah, why not?
- 34:37Speaker 2: The business needs longevity and you can help.
- 34:40Speaker 1: So I think that tells a lot facts, all right,
- 34:44Speaker 1: Beyond appearance, What makes someone truly attractive Their voice. I
- 34:48Speaker 1: saw a lot of them. Do you think girls like
- 34:51Speaker 1: a kind of maybe you know, like you and I
- 34:54Speaker 1: or they're.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Like, hold hold on to the headboard, hold on, hold on.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Can do it? You can't do it when you're laughing,
- 35:14Speaker 1: hold look at me, look at me, take your parents off.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I can't say it, And I say, I need to
- 35:26Speaker 1: say it really quick, because what.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Did Casue say there was he He's like, do you
- 35:30Speaker 2: have my finger, my tongue, oh yeah, my cock?
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah? And she goes and then she goes, I
- 35:37Speaker 1: need She points at his dick and she goes, I
- 35:39Speaker 1: need that in me right now. Damn it.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Bro Well, we're either both blessed or curse because everyone
- 35:49Speaker 2: thinks we sound the same.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I know, body just said that we do need to
- 35:55Speaker 1: get better at using each other's names and be like,
- 35:57Speaker 1: oh yeah, Jake's talking. It's kind of people do say.
- 35:59Speaker 1: It's really difficult. Also, people think we're brothers here more
- 36:03Speaker 1: than in Australia. Yeah, well that's a cultural thing, I guess.
- 36:07Speaker 1: I mean I get. But I told you about how
- 36:10Speaker 1: you and I haven't been to that were room. So
- 36:13Speaker 1: it's a little restaurant, right, that's funny where you're get nicey,
- 36:15Speaker 1: goying and other stuff. You and I hadn't been there
- 36:17Speaker 1: together this trim all right. You went the night before me,
- 36:21Speaker 1: and when I went, they said you want the same
- 36:22Speaker 1: thing as yesterday, and I was like, I was like,
- 36:24Speaker 1: they have to be talking about audio and I was like,
- 36:26Speaker 1: oh no, I haven't been here. Oh really, it. I
- 36:30Speaker 1: was like talking about not being able to leave bad reviews.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I might use this to my advantage. Why, like, if
- 36:37Speaker 1: you go to a restaurant, I know.
- 36:38Speaker 2: You're going somewhere, I'll go there before and be like
- 36:40Speaker 2: a dick.
- 36:48Speaker 1: To me?
- 36:49Speaker 2: Beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive? Making you feel safe?
- 36:55Speaker 2: How can someone make you feel safe?
- 36:57Speaker 1: Is it more of a I would say for me,
- 37:01Speaker 1: it's like a feeling secure. That's how I would feel.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I feel like it's different for a girl, though, Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 1: for a girl because they actually actually can be in
- 37:14Speaker 1: danger that it would probably feel really good and they
- 37:17Speaker 1: would be more attracted to you if but when they're
- 37:19Speaker 1: with you, they feel genuinely safe. I feel about their safety. Yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 2: It's like or it is not the right word, like
- 37:26Speaker 2: what you put out into the world, just like your being,
- 37:28Speaker 2: how you feel. Yeah, you feel I feel different ways
- 37:31Speaker 2: around different men.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 37:33Speaker 2: It's just that fear, that vibe some dude puts off
- 37:36Speaker 2: into this world and you feel safe and secure.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Sometimes you feel vibes around dudes where you think I
- 37:40Speaker 1: don't feel safe. Yeah, And it's not always like it's safety.
- 37:43Speaker 1: It's just like unpredictability. You don't know what they're gonna do.
- 37:47Speaker 1: So yeah, and it's like we experience it with mate.
- 37:50Speaker 2: It's not to the same magnitude, of course, but you're like, oh,
- 37:53Speaker 2: I don't know, especially when they start drinking, like, oh,
- 37:55Speaker 2: I don't know what these guys are gonna do.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna exit the scenario. No for real, Okay. Beyond appearance,
- 38:05Speaker 1: what makes someone truly attractive? Quote, I'll take care of it. Oh,
- 38:12Speaker 1: let me take care of it. So they do like
- 38:14Speaker 1: that apparently, Yeah, I'll do that. I'll take care of it.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I'll book it about it, I'll book it. I love
- 38:24Speaker 1: the book it little. I like booking stuff as well.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I like it. It's a control thing.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive?
- 38:38Speaker 1: Confidence? Without being cocky? I saw that right, and I
- 38:42Speaker 1: was thinking, where's the line. There's a fine line.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like it's your actions speak for themselves, okay.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Or you're not verbally confident, Yeah, you're physically confident. I guess,
- 39:01Speaker 1: just like how you walk around life and what you do,
- 39:04Speaker 1: how you carry yourself. Yeah, Cassie said, I put off
- 39:07Speaker 1: shy vibes. Yeah yeah, yeah, but I mean you're a
- 39:10Speaker 1: confident person still, yeah, in my own head, I don't know.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I wonder what I give off, I mean, shy vibes.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Did she mean that as an insult?
- 39:17Speaker 2: Was she like, no, we're planning one of those games,
- 39:22Speaker 2: and it was like it was like a deep questions
- 39:24Speaker 2: game and like a card came out. I was like,
- 39:26Speaker 2: how would you like think that person is if you've
- 39:28Speaker 2: met them for the first time, And she said shy.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Yeah that's valid. Yeah, yeah, that's valid. I would say
- 39:33Speaker 1: as well, you mean what do I give off? I
- 39:37Speaker 1: don't know.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Actually, probably like you're like a combination of either confident
- 39:41Speaker 2: or like you could give off very like airheady.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what like first time. I actually I
- 39:50Speaker 1: don't even take that as an insult. I mean, I
- 39:52Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe it's meant as an insult. I don't know.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But my parents they used to say, like they used
- 39:59Speaker 1: to say that I can Jake's off with the fairies. Yeah,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and then I live in my own world. I think
- 40:03Speaker 1: you do. I think that's what it is.
- 40:05Speaker 2: And it was a fire line between confident or like
- 40:08Speaker 2: he's not even on our planet.
- 40:09Speaker 1: True, yeah, like he he's like there's a fine line
- 40:14Speaker 1: between confident and oblivious. Yeah, I would find if I'm
- 40:19Speaker 1: on my own, not confident, not confident. But if I'm
- 40:22Speaker 1: with a group of people, I think then if someone
- 40:24Speaker 1: looking in would think, yeah, he's a confident person.
- 40:26Speaker 2: What's the best thing about this podcast? We wouldn't have
- 40:28Speaker 2: been able to do it about each other.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Hell no, I don't know how people. I did passenge
- 40:32Speaker 1: Princess for a couple of times, and I was like,
- 40:34Speaker 1: fuck doing this on my own. Bro. I get a
- 40:37Speaker 1: message every now and then like when's it coming back? Guys,
- 40:39Speaker 1: it's not coming about I can't do it. Like the
- 40:43Speaker 1: events we go to and stuff like all alone my
- 40:46Speaker 1: I was going to go to one on my own
- 40:48Speaker 1: and not long ago, and then but I asked Beth
- 40:50Speaker 1: and she wanted to go. Yeah, fucking like the brand also,
- 40:53Speaker 1: but she she tries to get me to talk to people.
- 40:55Speaker 1: She goes, I was like, we should leave, Like we came,
- 40:58Speaker 1: we did our thing, we should leave. She goes, is
- 41:00Speaker 1: not not until you, not until you what's it called network?
- 41:04Speaker 1: Until you do networking? All right? And I was like, watch,
- 41:06Speaker 1: she goes, two new people. You have to talk to
- 41:07Speaker 1: two new people? Flat out? I said, no, that's a
- 41:10Speaker 1: that's a great thing from her. Also, she's not coming
- 41:13Speaker 1: when I'm there. I was straight up. I was like no,
- 41:15Speaker 1: because if that was me, I would have been like, yeah,
- 41:17Speaker 1: let's go. No. Yeah, you and I feed off each other,
- 41:21Speaker 1: like we've been here. If one of us we came,
- 41:23Speaker 1: we've been here long enough. Oh we have been no evidence,
- 41:26Speaker 1: there is phono evidence on our story that we were here.
- 41:29Speaker 1: She was like, no, no, need a network talk to
- 41:31Speaker 1: two new people, and yeah, I just flat I was like, no,
- 41:36Speaker 1: not that me. Beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive?
- 41:42Speaker 1: A slutty watch? A slutty watch? Is that from a dude?
- 41:47Speaker 1: Like I was, I'm pretty sure she means like a watch, Like, yeah,
- 41:50Speaker 1: how does a dude have a slutty watch? How's a
- 41:52Speaker 1: girl have a slutty watch? How could a watch be slutty?
- 41:56Speaker 1: A lot of gold, a lot of diamonds. I don't
- 41:59Speaker 1: like watches. I don't mind him to a certain extent.
- 42:03Speaker 1: There's a time and a place for a good watch,
- 42:05Speaker 1: but not the big, chunky ones. I don't I don't
- 42:06Speaker 1: know how you can have a slutty watch either, don't agree.
- 42:09Speaker 1: I'm not a nah who I feel like wouldn't it
- 42:14Speaker 1: be sludy it'd be naked? Well, I mean by definition, yes,
- 42:19Speaker 1: it would be. By definition it would be slutty.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Yes.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Wouldn't it be more slutty than not wear a watch
- 42:26Speaker 1: or like lefs skin? Yeah? Like more so more skin showing. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I just not a watch guy. There's wrisk bleat bringing baddies.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Do you like seeing a guy in a watch? I
- 42:36Speaker 1: feel like I feel like no one would care. Also
- 42:38Speaker 1: my okay, so you know those people that will buy
- 42:42Speaker 1: like a fucking five hundred thousand dollars watch or thirty
- 42:45Speaker 1: thousand or something. Yeah, if you're wearing a watch over
- 42:50Speaker 1: I want to say anything over two thousand dollars, right,
- 42:56Speaker 1: this could be a hot take, but I think if
- 42:58Speaker 1: you're wearing a watch over two thousand dollars, it's the
- 43:00Speaker 1: same reason that you buy a super expensive car, or
- 43:05Speaker 1: the same reason that you maybe drive super fast in
- 43:10Speaker 1: a slow area and rev the shit out of your car.
- 43:13Speaker 1: It's just to show off. Because also, I'm not gonna
- 43:16Speaker 1: look at a watch that's fifty thousand dollars and be like,
- 43:18Speaker 1: I can't believe that guy's wearing a fifty thousand dollars watch.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Because I don't know what that looks like. I don't
- 43:23Speaker 1: know what watch is fifty thousand dollars. Most people don't know.
- 43:25Speaker 1: It's a big thing in America. It's like they wear
- 43:29Speaker 1: I can already hear I can hear the rebuttals from
- 43:33Speaker 1: some men. Oh yeah, I don't think they're listening to this,
- 43:35Speaker 1: but I can hear bottles, and I know exactly what
- 43:38Speaker 1: someone hearing this who wears an expensive watch would say.
- 43:41Speaker 1: They would say, well, you're not the person I'm trying
- 43:43Speaker 1: to impress, am I. But also that's the line. They're cocky,
- 43:47Speaker 1: not confident. They're trying to show how successful they are,
- 43:51Speaker 1: when in reality, just them walking and they're being should
- 43:54Speaker 1: be confidence enough. Yeah, it's a bigger thing in America.
- 43:57Speaker 2: How they all like they like those birds in the
- 43:59Speaker 2: davidad Brouh documentary, how they're like put their cocking, they're
- 44:03Speaker 2: peacocking their feathers and like, I've got a big watch,
- 44:06Speaker 2: I've got a big chain. Like in reality, like if
- 44:08Speaker 2: it was just a nice, well dressed man, that's confidence enough.
- 44:11Speaker 2: Jacob A LORDI, for example, that guy confidences.
- 44:15Speaker 1: True, he is kind of pretty good. Yeah, I reckon,
- 44:18Speaker 1: does he dress good? Or is he just hot? Does
- 44:21Speaker 1: he dress good? Or is he just tall? I reckon?
- 44:24Speaker 2: I reckon he dresses good because he's long and to
- 44:27Speaker 2: dress that good and be long.
- 44:28Speaker 1: As had tall. Yeah, I meant both cons hopefully. I
- 44:33Speaker 1: don't know. I've never seen it. Actually, Yeah, what do
- 44:36Speaker 1: you reckon? Checkob a lordie O can ickon he's decent
- 44:40Speaker 1: looking but also has style. No, I was actually I
- 44:43Speaker 1: was asking about how do you think his dick ish hue?
- 44:46Speaker 1: I reckon it is he's actually is he like six seven?
- 44:49Speaker 1: He's tall? Yeah, everything's proportioned, quite slim, everything's proportional, I reckon, Yeah,
- 44:54Speaker 1: I reckon. Yeah. True. I guess it's like if you
- 44:56Speaker 1: get the a lot of gross gene in one area
- 45:01Speaker 1: or no, you're gonna get it in every area. Yeah,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I would think so. Yeah.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive? Being good with kids?
- 45:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I can totally see that. I'm not great, you see,
- 45:15Speaker 1: I am open, open and honest about not really liking
- 45:18Speaker 1: kids very much. But when I'm with them, because it's
- 45:21Speaker 1: always for like a short amount of time, I do
- 45:24Speaker 1: have fun and play with them. I have fun. Do
- 45:26Speaker 1: I always feeling a little bit out of place and awkward.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I guess I need like exposure therapy though true, yeah
- 45:31Speaker 2: a baby still never held one.
- 45:34Speaker 1: It's so funny, Like I find it so funny she
- 45:37Speaker 1: never held a baby. But to be fair, it's like,
- 45:39Speaker 1: you have a pretty small family. I should just go
- 45:41Speaker 1: off to someone. I am that cold. Could you imagine
- 45:44Speaker 1: having a kid? Could you imagine you have your kid
- 45:46Speaker 1: right and you're out and someone kinds up, he goes, look,
- 45:49Speaker 1: I'm twenty five. I've actually never held a kid. You
- 45:51Speaker 1: might help hold it. I'd be like, no, you're not
- 45:54Speaker 1: stuck with mine.
- 45:56Speaker 2: No, yeah, you need someone who's like a blood relative. Yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 2: so they can't say no.
- 46:02Speaker 1: But so baby baby No. Like I don't think I'm
- 46:05Speaker 1: bad with them, but I don't hold him, really be
- 46:08Speaker 1: bad with him, true, don't do anything. But I don't
- 46:10Speaker 1: like holding him because death if you fall, like literal death.
- 46:16Speaker 1: And then but a kid that's old enough to run around.
- 46:18Speaker 1: I like little boys because they love fucking around. I
- 46:23Speaker 1: like to entertain.
- 46:30Speaker 4: I am look, I have a cousin with a kid
- 46:36Speaker 4: named Riley, and he's very funny because.
- 46:41Speaker 2: He is a very boyish boy, and.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I like to witness it.
- 46:50Speaker 5: No, no, I like, I don't even like him. I
- 46:59Speaker 5: hate it, Actually, I hate him him.
- 47:02Speaker 2: I like the baby sit my cousin's kid.
- 47:04Speaker 1: You better better my time. Beyond appearance, what makes someone
- 47:14Speaker 1: truly attractive? This one is the smell. Oh yeah, something
- 47:20Speaker 1: about a smell. I love it too. Actually, I've I've
- 47:25Speaker 1: always questioned whenever you walk past someone, and for me,
- 47:29Speaker 1: it's always like a man, right because obviously pretty much
- 47:33Speaker 1: all women smell good for some reason, it's because they're clean.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Because but when a man walks past me and he
- 47:40Speaker 1: and I can smell his cologne and it's not too much,
- 47:42Speaker 1: it's it actually smells good. I just think, how the
- 47:46Speaker 1: hell can I do that? And I'll do like five sprays.
- 47:53Speaker 1: I never get complimented.
- 47:54Speaker 2: I think my skin absorbs it more a I really
- 47:58Speaker 2: think it does. I feel like it comes down to that.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I just soak it up and then it's gone.
- 48:02Speaker 1: I just can't. Yeah, Harry said that he does like
- 48:07Speaker 1: eight sprays. I've never once thought he smelled really nice
- 48:09Speaker 1: when he I've only one time thought he smell really nice,
- 48:12Speaker 1: and that was when he came to your birthday lunch
- 48:14Speaker 1: and probably sprayed right before. Yeah, you know, he would
- 48:16Speaker 1: have yeah. But I was like, I was like, fuck,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you smell good, and he goes, yeah, it's spread like
- 48:20Speaker 1: eight sprays ship and I was like, that's yeah. I'm
- 48:22Speaker 1: like too when I do it. Yeah, I'm a I'm
- 48:24Speaker 1: a I've been doing this four four certainly not enough.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Beth does not ever compliment me. I've never once exactly,
- 48:34Speaker 1: you never once thought it smell good? If anything, I
- 48:36Speaker 1: can smell like you're detergent from your clothes. Yeah, I rolled, wait,
- 48:43Speaker 1: I rolled recent on me. Doesn't last, It doesn't last.
- 48:47Speaker 1: It's not very good.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Maybe it needs that spray of effect of the particles
- 48:51Speaker 2: like enter your bloodstream.
- 48:52Speaker 1: How the hell do we smell good? I need? I
- 48:54Speaker 1: want to up my scent game. At least you're trying
- 48:56Speaker 1: like I want to. I want to do a live
- 48:58Speaker 1: show and have a meet and green. And then in
- 49:01Speaker 1: the Facebook group, a couple of the baddies are like,
- 49:04Speaker 1: how fucking good did they smell? Is that what you want?
- 49:06Speaker 1: That's what I want? You here you go?
- 49:09Speaker 2: That would actually make me feel every fifteen minutes, we'll
- 49:11Speaker 2: go back and spray.
- 49:12Speaker 1: You know what, though, that might be what people do.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Maybe they might have one with them when they when
- 49:18Speaker 1: they get some water.
- 49:18Speaker 2: They maybe maybe beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive
- 49:24Speaker 2: when the goal in bed is to please the woman?
- 49:29Speaker 1: Yeah? I like that. Yeah I do too. And you
- 49:32Speaker 1: know what would require that? A frontal low.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yeah I like it too because it kind of like
- 49:37Speaker 2: turns me on.
- 49:38Speaker 1: When that was one of my answers, by the way,
- 49:39Speaker 1: front of low front development that was too seamless went
- 49:42Speaker 1: over my head.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Like me again, beyond appearance, what makes someone truly attractive
- 49:49Speaker 2: the drive to accomplish something.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Oh damn, yeah that is kind of sexy. I like
- 49:56Speaker 1: it when they get passionate. Yeah, yeah, I reckon. Maybe
- 50:00Speaker 1: I need to be more unapologetic in my passions. Who
- 50:05Speaker 1: are you apologizing to? I wouldn't say, like, I apologize, right,
- 50:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I like golf. I wouldn't say I apologize.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I should say that too fair. But let's say I
- 50:20Speaker 1: am Maybe that comes out. I was going to say
- 50:24Speaker 1: we like work life balance. Yeah, I agreed, and so
- 50:28Speaker 1: I wouldn't say I work you know, sixty hour weeks,
- 50:32Speaker 1: no on the pod. And I was going to say,
- 50:36Speaker 1: maybe I should be more unapologetic in my passions and grinding,
- 50:40Speaker 1: grind and grind. But then that's going to take the
- 50:42Speaker 1: love out of it. So I was that's why I
- 50:43Speaker 1: didn't say it. Oh so yeah, I thought you were
- 50:45Speaker 1: going to. I was gonna say, like, maybe I should
- 50:47Speaker 1: start grinding apology in eighty hour weeks, nothing but the pod.
- 50:49Speaker 1: This is my passion. Make it big, make it big,
- 50:51Speaker 1: make it big. But then I was like thinking about
- 50:53Speaker 1: it while I was about to say it, and I was, well,
- 50:55Speaker 1: I feel like I can't say it.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I was going to say, being facetious, we've grinded the
- 51:02Speaker 2: pod enough already that it's in a place where we're happy,
- 51:06Speaker 2: true but contempt, Yeah, where we could definitely get bigger.
- 51:10Speaker 1: N that's yeah. We need word of mouth. Yeah, that's
- 51:12Speaker 1: our goal. So every single batty listening to this, go
- 51:14Speaker 1: tell a friend, to tell a friend about the pot.
- 51:19Speaker 1: I've always wanted so sometimes like I've never wanted to
- 51:24Speaker 1: be the person that you know, so we promote Patreon.
- 51:27Speaker 1: We've been forgetting to promote five stars. We're not very
- 51:30Speaker 1: good at.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Five star two guys, while you're yeah, yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 1: But people that are really good at that and do
- 51:35Speaker 1: it consistently, I d say it works. It does work.
- 51:39Speaker 1: We know it works when we say it. Yeah, I'm
- 51:41Speaker 1: going to start telling all the baddies. Tell a friend,
- 51:43Speaker 1: to tell a friend. I'm going to make you feel guilty.
- 51:46Speaker 2: If you love us, prove it well. The best thing
- 51:52Speaker 2: is when someone you know says they're really good. That's
- 51:55Speaker 2: better than any fast of you anywhere.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Yeah. I would one hundred percent trust someone saying you know, oh,
- 52:01Speaker 1: like the way I started listening to Shits and Gigs
- 52:03Speaker 1: was as someone said, I recommend them, they're really good.
- 52:07Speaker 1: But also, if you were to tell me about someone
- 52:12Speaker 1: about a podcast, I would go and give it a chance.
- 52:14Speaker 1: There's lots of times where I just wouldn't even give
- 52:16Speaker 1: a podcast a chance unless it's from someone exactly agreed. Okay,
- 52:19Speaker 1: I'm going to rattle a couple off. Beyond appearance? What
- 52:22Speaker 1: is something that's truly beyond appearance? What makes someone truly attractive?
- 52:27Speaker 1: Keeping their home clean? But I can see that. I
- 52:31Speaker 1: can see that as well. The look girls, if you
- 52:35Speaker 1: know you know what was that?
- 52:42Speaker 2: I could see your grin in the background.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I couldn't hold it. You do what you do it?
- 52:47Speaker 2: Look, bro, I am talking about trying to be attractive change. Yeah,
- 52:52Speaker 2: and I've tried it, and it's not good. It's not good.
- 53:00Speaker 2: You got those baby blue eyes.
- 53:01Speaker 1: But all right, last one, someone who isn't jealous or
- 53:06Speaker 1: insecure in a relationship that's actually really good.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Okay, let me rattle a few off too. Beyond appearance,
- 53:12Speaker 2: what makes someone truly attractive?
- 53:13Speaker 1: Five star aftercare? Oh wait, after care like post sex.
- 53:20Speaker 1: That so I was thinking, yea, yeah, after cares like
- 53:22Speaker 1: five starfter care. I think looking after yourself in the partner.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Hey girl, here, let me give you a towels jump
- 53:26Speaker 1: in the sauna. We just had to workout. Let's get
- 53:33Speaker 1: let's get a massage. Not taking themselves too seriously.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that when he does not give his
- 53:39Speaker 2: opinions on topics he has no idea about, but is
- 53:41Speaker 2: willing to learn.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Oh that's a good one. I reckon. When I was younger,
- 53:48Speaker 1: I reckon I was a lot more opinionated than I
- 53:51Speaker 1: am now.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Well, you can always think of those people who are
- 53:55Speaker 2: I don't know is know it all? It's the right thing,
- 53:57Speaker 2: Like they think they know everything and they want to
- 53:59Speaker 2: have an opinion on everything, and they're very uneducated.
- 54:02Speaker 1: On everything, and they're like, this is how it is.
- 54:04Speaker 1: You don't know anything. Shut up. Learn. But something as
- 54:07Speaker 1: simple as I used to have this mindset that so
- 54:13Speaker 1: when it comes to say, losing weight, right, I used
- 54:16Speaker 1: to have this mindset where it's like, literally, just be
- 54:21Speaker 1: in a calorie deficit, right, and not that that isn't
- 54:24Speaker 1: the right answer. But I've come to kind of think
- 54:26Speaker 1: like that's a bit of an maybe an ignorant answer.
- 54:29Speaker 1: I think it's maybe a bit naiven, a bit ignorant,
- 54:32Speaker 1: and it's not always that simple. So now whenever the
- 54:35Speaker 1: topic comes up, I'm not like I try and keep
- 54:39Speaker 1: my mouth shut. Well, you just answer that there.
- 54:41Speaker 2: It's maturing and the people who are so opinionated when
- 54:44Speaker 2: they aren't educated aren't for sure.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Did I tell you last time I was at my
- 54:48Speaker 1: dad's place in Queensland? Yeah, yeah, you told that. He
- 54:51Speaker 1: was talking to my stepmom and Beth and I was
- 54:55Speaker 1: eating dinner while they were talking, and he was talking
- 54:58Speaker 1: about how he was doing no alcohol trying to lose
- 55:02Speaker 1: a bit of weight. And then he goes, yeah, like
- 55:05Speaker 1: he goes, it's not just about the food though, it's
- 55:07Speaker 1: mainly about the exercise. And to be fair, I do
- 55:12Speaker 1: know for a fact it's the opposite. But I was like,
- 55:15Speaker 1: and Bet said after it, she goes, you you were
- 55:17Speaker 1: really trying to get a nushut then were I was
- 55:19Speaker 1: like yeah, I was just like he'd lost a bit
- 55:21Speaker 1: of weight and they didn't want to take away from
- 55:23Speaker 1: his progress, and I didn't want to be like dad,
- 55:25Speaker 1: shut the fuck.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Well, the most relatable thing is all about he's listening's
- 55:29Speaker 2: parents aren't educated on how to lose weight, and they
- 55:34Speaker 2: all with those fads, those like magazine articles with all
- 55:38Speaker 2: these different things that never were to be fair.
- 55:40Speaker 1: I'm trying to fat at the moment. Actually in Australia,
- 55:43Speaker 1: the low FOMMT, I wouldn't say that's a actually a
- 55:45Speaker 1: good point. That's more of just like cutting out something
- 55:47Speaker 1: because that sucks. Like fads are meant to be all
- 55:49Speaker 1: right still, you know a fad is where it's like
- 55:51Speaker 1: eat what you want and lose weight. Yeah, okay, bad
- 56:01Speaker 1: is This week in the studio we have Radid say hello,
- 56:06Speaker 1: Radid hello hello. So this week we wanted to try
- 56:10Speaker 1: and learn to say have a wonderful day. In Indonesian,
- 56:15Speaker 1: I have a wonderful or have a good day, whatever
- 56:18Speaker 1: is easier. Smog damn it.
- 56:23Speaker 2: No no, no, no, well okay, so in Indonesian we've
- 56:26Speaker 2: been stuffing up I think our phrases don't translate. If
- 56:29Speaker 2: you wanted to say to someone walking on the street,
- 56:32Speaker 2: like have a good day, what would you say In Indonesian.
- 56:37Speaker 1: You would say that, you would say that. Actually, I
- 56:39Speaker 1: have a question that in Indonesia is it common to
- 56:42Speaker 1: leave a cafe or a venue or maybe you were
- 56:46Speaker 1: having lunch with a friend. Is it common to say, like,
- 56:49Speaker 1: you know, have a good day. Is that a common
- 56:51Speaker 1: thing you would say to someone? Ah, maybe it's common thing.
- 56:58Speaker 1: But know what is many people use English too? Yeah?
- 57:04Speaker 1: Very by Yeah, a very bilingual country, isn't it.
- 57:07Speaker 2: What about baddie, I didn't know that's the one that three?
- 57:13Speaker 1: Also he was like, it didn't really translate. Ok, baddie
- 57:16Speaker 1: doesn't translate? How about super simple? What's your welcome summer? Summer?
- 57:24Speaker 1: We know that one? And Arry mccasy is thank you?
- 57:27Speaker 1: What about yes? If we say what about this? You're beautiful? Okay,
- 57:35Speaker 1: we can do this. Okay, come come chick, you're beautiful
- 57:41Speaker 1: for the women or is it different for men? Call
- 57:45Speaker 1: if we say you're hands two men? Is okay? For
- 57:51Speaker 1: the baddies out there? Thank you so much? Thank you?
- 57:56Speaker 1: And BADDI is that that's it? For today Yeah, stay bad, enjoy,
