  Speaker 1: journeyed on these twenty one days of visibility. For those

  Speaker 1: that are not familiar with who we are what we're doing,

  Speaker 1: I am the visionary of the Crew podcast. I'm the

  Speaker 1: visionary of Aspiring Authors Magazine AA L a C, which

  Speaker 1: is the African American Auts Literacy where in this campaign

  Speaker 1: under the umbrella, we are a platform that provides media
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: and podcasting outlets. So we are over here just trying
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: to be divorce that we can be. Most of us
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: are also authors, so we are attached to an amazing
• 1:19
  Speaker 1: platform called the one hundred Authors Movement where we just create,
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: we come together. We believe in the four seas. The
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: four Seeds is what I started the movement on. I
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: believe in it, and it is connect, collaborate, create in community. Bill,

  Speaker 1: I truly believe in those four seeds when it comes
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: to black and brown authors and those that are in
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: the self publishing arena. So I just want to be
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: an outlet. Just want to be a platform where people
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: can come, they can share. They don't feel obligated to,
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: you know, do anything. They don't feel obligated. You know.

  Speaker 1: For a long time, we have heard so many different
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: stigmas and so many different things about being an author
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: and being becoming published. Well, I'm here to tell you
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: that it is not like they say. It is not

  Speaker 1: like everybody say it is. It's not so hard that
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: you cannot do it. It's just gonna take some work.

  Speaker 1: And that's with anything. It is going to take some work.

  Speaker 1: It's gonna take some dedication. It's gonna take some time,
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: just like with your business. Just like we're just like
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: you guys that are influencers that come over here and

  Speaker 1: do what you do every day. You know that you

  Speaker 1: have to come up with you a schedule and then
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: you have to be consistent. It is about being consistent.

  Speaker 1: We do not take these opportunities lightly. I've had an

  Speaker 1: opportunity to meet some amazing people. Again. Like I said,

  Speaker 1: we are on this twenty one day challenge over here,
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tell y'all a little bit about what
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: this challenge entel. For those that follow me on the platform,
• 3:54
  Speaker 1: know that we we like to bring awareness to the
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: different things things that we do. So we embarked upon
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: this twenty one day challenge and it started on June first,
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: and every day we were challenged to go live for
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: ten minutes, ten to fifteen minutes, and then every day
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: we were given a different topic, so there was a
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: different topic that we could talk about that topic, we
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: could share about that topic, or we could just go
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: live and just talk about our brand. The most important
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: thing was that you went live, that you were visible,
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: that you were present. That was the most important thing.
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: What you did on the live, it was totally up
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: to you. I definitely shared things that would help you
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: as an author and you as a creative to you know,
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: get your brand out there and to get your mind
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: thinking about different things that you can do. These were
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: the things that I shared with some things that I
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: learned along this process of getting my master's degree, and
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: some of the things that we did in class projects.
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: Something is that you know, I were able if I
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: got an A in that class and on that project.
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: You know, I said, okay, well let me try to
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: incorporate that project into something that we're doing, and maybe
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: if I can get an A out the project, that
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: maybe it will work for us. If you don't give
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: it a chance, if you don't try, you know, I
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: often wonder, like for some of us, like do we
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: really we say we are so gun ho about our brand.
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: We're so for our brand. But then when the opportunity
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: presents itself for us to show off our brand and
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: for us to be before people that could possibly support
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: our brand, we don't show up. And I noticed that
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: a lot of places and a lot of things, I
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: see a lot of individuals they have their hands out,
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: but it's like that they're untive, but they're always wanting
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: to receive. And that's something that we come across so often.
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: But I'm that person, and I believe, like my apostle
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: always say, she say that those things that you make
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: happen for others, God would make happen for you, And
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: I truly believe that. You know, people often ask me, well,
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: Ms Angel, why you don't push your books like that?
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: Why are you not doing? That's not what I have
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: mandated to do right now. My mandate is to make
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: sure that those authors, those creatives, those individuals that come
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: across my path, that come across my platform, that I'm
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: able to utilize those gifts and those talents that He's
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: placed within me to be able to pull them out
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: of other people. Right now. He don't have me in
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: a place where I am supposed to be the center
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: of attention. He have me making other people the center
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: of attention so that they can get their voice out
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: there because he showed me the way to get minds
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: out there. And due time he's gonna allow me to
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: do those things. But the charge that's on my life
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: right now is to help others to do the same
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: thing that people didn't want to do for me. You know,
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: there's examples of individuals. I used to ask individuals to
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: help me with the magazine. I knew a young lady
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: that actually had a digital magazine and she wanted to
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: charge me, I think it was five hundred dollars at
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: that time to show me how to do a digital magazine.
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: But she wanted to have control of it and not
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: show me. And see, that's a lot of a lot
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: of us. Like we say we gonna coach you, we
• 7:57
  Speaker 1: say we're gonna publish you. We say we are publishers.
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: We give our these titles, but then when we began
• 8:02
  Speaker 1: to performies, we don't fulfill those duties. Like I'm thankful
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: that I was burnt by a publisher, because if I
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: never got burnt by doctor zone apostle, doctors on and
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: she never stole my book. I would have never had
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: the opportunity to learn how to self published. I would
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: always been looking at someone to publish my book because
• 8:29
  Speaker 1: I would have thought that was the only way I
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: could go. But how God turned that thing around. He
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: allowed me to not only learn how to publish my book,
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: but he showed me and taught me how I could
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: do the same thing for someone else. So he allowed
• 8:45
  Speaker 1: me to be able to put it in a book
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: for him. So I have a book out that is
• 8:49
  Speaker 1: A ninety Days published in ninety days with Angela from
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: start to finish. No, everything you not gonna know everything
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: from because it's it's always a journey and every you're
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: gonna keep learning, and that you can keep journeying. You're
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: gonna keep learning things. You know, we learn stuff and
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: then you know the any type of industry is always growing,
• 9:16
  Speaker 1: especially if creative energy in industries. You gotta understand that
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: they're gonna be new technology, they're gonna be new generals,
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: they're gonna be new things that are exposed and you
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: got to be willing to adapt. Like right now, one
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: of the hottest things is audio books. If you're not
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: adapting to audio books. Then you're gonna miss out on
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: a lot of opportunities to reach readers because a lot
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: of people are on the go and a lot of
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: people want their books to read to them. They want
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: to listen. They don't want to have to sit down
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: and read a book. They want audio books. So KDP
• 10:00
  Speaker 1: KTP has launched a beta program. I've had the opportunity
• 10:07
  Speaker 1: to turn about ten, maybe fifteen of my books into audiobooks,
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: So I have some audio books out there, a great opportunity, y'all.
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: I'm not a gatekeeper, so I've been telling everybody if
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: you use KDP to self publish, you utilize the the
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: audio book that you get an opportunity. You can listen
• 10:31
  Speaker 1: to the voices, and you get to pick the virtual voice.
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: You get to pick the voice the virtual voice. So
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: there's a lot of opportunities. And now you don't have
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: to be waiting on that person that want to charge
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: you one thousand dollars for this and a thousand dollars
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: for that. Y'all, If you do the research and you're
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: willing to do the work, there's a lot of time.
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: You'll be able to do a lot of this stuff
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: on your own and that's some one of the stuff
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: that I had to do. Don't let people pressure you
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: into thinking that, oh, you gonna you gotta do this,
• 11:07
  Speaker 1: and you gotta do that, because a lot of people
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: will come at you with these real cool TVs and
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: they gonna tell you they gonna pump your head up
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: with all these means of listeners and these millions of views,
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: and you're not really gonna you You're really not getting that.
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna tell you that. That's one thing
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you the truth.
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: We may get fifteen hundred one week, we may get
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: it a thousand one week, we may get thirty one week,
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: we may it fluctuate, and then according to how you
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: also how you promote, and how much you engage and
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: how much you tell people about what you got going on.
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: So I noticed that some of the shows, they have
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: a lot of you know, individuals that catch the replay.
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: Some may have a lot that tune in. We're not
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: gonna have a whole lot of people tuning in to
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: various shows because I noticed that a lot of people
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: have a lot of things going up at eight o'clock
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: is a prime time, you're gonna have a lot of
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: people that's doing interviews, a lot of people that's podcasting.
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: They're gonna be live and podcasting during those times, so
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: you're gonna catch a lot of people that's catching your replace.
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: So that's why we want to make sure that we
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: have the audios up, the videos up, We want to
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: have the playbacks up so the individuals can have these
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: outlets to even see, you know, what they missed, and
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: then make it available for them because also sometimes people
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: will be present, they'll be there watching, but they don't
• 12:41
  Speaker 1: get everything. They don't they don't get everything that's being shared,
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: they don't grasp all of the nuts, and then sometimes
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: they may want to come back and do the replay.
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: So we make everything available archives. We love to make
• 12:58
  Speaker 1: sure that it's archives because you never know who may
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: need this on down the line. You know, everything that
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: we are doing right now and always for us, you know,
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: we got to leave evidence. The word says that we
• 13:16
  Speaker 1: should do greater works, and if we should do greater works,
• 13:19
  Speaker 1: then how they gonna know about them greater works that
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: we're doing. If we're not telling them, if we're not
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: sharing them, how they gonna know We got to put
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: them in books, we got to put them in audio,
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: We got to put them in and in different ways.
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: It has to be noted so that people can know
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: because we see what the government is doing. We see
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: a lot of what the government is doing all around here,
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: and they're trying to erase stuff. So we have to
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: keep up with our own history, and we have to
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: teach our own history. We got to teach it to
• 13:49
  Speaker 1: our kids. It's not the school's job to be teaching
• 13:54
  Speaker 1: our kids. Again, a lot of the stuff that we're
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: doing as authors, as as I don't know, historians, as
• 14:06
  Speaker 1: as as as history keepers, whatever you want to call yourself,
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: as authors, authorians, or whatever you however you want to
• 14:15
  Speaker 1: classify yourself. I just thank you for being an outlet.
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: I thank you for just being a vessel, because we've
• 14:26
  Speaker 1: heard so many different stigmas and so many different things
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: that have surrounded authors and creatives and those that are
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: trying to leave a blueprint, trying to leave a legacy.

  Speaker 1: So over these last twenty one days, we have been
• 14:48
  Speaker 1: doing a visibility challenge, going live, sharing about different things.

  Speaker 1: I have to give a shout out to Milagros Rameros

  Speaker 1: because y'all this lady has twenty one days down, has

  Speaker 1: been on live every single day, has participated in every
• 15:06
  Speaker 1: single challenge, even the one she said she may not
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: understood what she was doing, y'all, she still showed up.

  Speaker 1: She still showed up. She still showed up. And I
• 15:19
  Speaker 1: pray that God would bless her for every seed that
• 15:21
  Speaker 1: she's sown, because those are seeds sown, because she sacrificed.

  Speaker 1: No matter what she had going on, y'all, she sacrificed.

  Speaker 1: And we know that she's not in the best of health.

  Speaker 1: She didn't let her health stop her. But yet so

  Speaker 1: many people would make excuses about the little things, about
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: the little things. Well, blessings, blessings, blessing. I am a

  Speaker 1: coach too, blessings and that's two. That's that's, that's what
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: we do. So on this twenty one day challenge, y'all,
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: we were challenge to do a lot. But I just

  Speaker 1: want to share with you guys what this journey has
• 16:07
  Speaker 1: been like with me. Just want to drop a nugget
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: or two and then I'm gonna get on and get out,
• 16:11
  Speaker 1: because y'all know I don't I don't hang around too long.

  Speaker 1: I do want to go over and hang out and
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: hang out on TikTok and see what's going on, just
• 16:22
  Speaker 1: to hang out, just to get for me and y'all.

  Speaker 1: If y'all are not using TikTok, I'm telling you, y'all

  Speaker 1: gonna see in just a minute. Y'all gonna see in

  Speaker 1: my god. I set out to stretch out my limits,

  Speaker 1: to meet new people, to share my voice, and because

  Speaker 1: of this opportunity, I have done all that. And so

  Speaker 1: from straining just who became friends to opportunities I never imagine.

  Speaker 1: This challenge has been a reminder that when you show

  Speaker 1: up with intentions, the world shows up for you. Today

  Speaker 1: I celebrate new connections who are lighting up my feed
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: with encouragement and ideas. The stories of courage, creativity, and
• 17:24
  Speaker 1: consistence you've all shared. I thank you. I thank you

  Speaker 1: Milagos for your dedication, your commitment, and your time that

  Speaker 1: you have poured into this that we have been doing.

  Speaker 1: The next season of this journey, I hope we'll bring

  Speaker 1: you to be able to amplify your voice, to build

  Speaker 1: your brand and connect with a worldwide audience. Whether you

  Speaker 1: want to educate, empower, entertain, inspire, or just share your truth,
• 18:46
  Speaker 1: it's definitely an opportunity in a space to do just that.

  Speaker 1: And it is a perfect time, y'all. Don't sleep on

  Speaker 1: the chance to get out there and amplify your voice. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,

  Speaker 1: please don't. And if you are thinking about starting your

  Speaker 1: on this journey. Be consistent. Consistent beats perfection. Just show up.

  Speaker 1: show up. Give more than take pour into your community.

  Speaker 1: Some of your best moments come from unexpected places, y'all.

  Speaker 1: Don't be afraid of change. Trust that when you do

  Speaker 1: the work, God will expand your reach in ways that

  Speaker 1: you cannot begin to explain or imagine. Most importantly, celebrate

  Speaker 1: your next level. Do not let the momentum stop here.

  Speaker 1: is there. You still have the opportunity to participate. That

  Speaker 1: does not have to be something that you do as

  Speaker 1: a group. It can be something that you do at
• 21:04
  Speaker 1: your own pace, at your own time, y'all. It's available

  Speaker 1: for you. It is now a resource that you can

  Speaker 1: now go back and do as often as you like. Y'all.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes we have to change up stuff, and sometimes we

  Speaker 1: have to do things outside of the box that maybe
• 21:21
  Speaker 1: we don't like. But know this, if you're doing the

  Speaker 1: same thing, and you've been doing the same thing over
• 21:28
  Speaker 1: and over and over and over and over and you

  Speaker 1: see no results, you see no change, then maybe you

  Speaker 1: need to change up. A little change may bring a

  Speaker 1: big difference. And we have to understand that are you

  Speaker 1: willing to change? Are you willing to walk in that?

  Speaker 1: at someone that I was in that situation. I've been
