- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous. It's Lala Kent. Welcome to untraditionally, Laala. Hello,
- 0:05Speaker 1: my love, it is Lala Kent. Welcome back to untraditionally, Lala.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I am here with oh, one of my most favorite housewives,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I consider you a friend through the Bravo Universe.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Christ Heather Debro or Heather Page Kent.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Is I like to call you? Don't you love that
- 0:20Speaker 3: we both have the last name of Kent Okay?
- 0:23Speaker 2: Is that your real last name? And you're you were raised?
- 0:27Speaker 2: You're Jewish?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Right?
- 0:28Speaker 2: So is Kent a Jewish name?
- 0:30Speaker 3: No? So the original name was Kestenbaum and then it
- 0:34Speaker 3: was changed. But I am Kent Okay. So it's a
- 0:39Speaker 3: made up name, but it's mine. I didn't make it up.
- 0:43Speaker 3: But there was another Heather Kent in Saga and so
- 0:47Speaker 3: you can't copy names. That's why when you see actors
- 0:50Speaker 3: and they have similar names, but they put an initial
- 0:52Speaker 3: in the middle or something. You can't have the same name.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Every name in Screen Actors Guild has to be unique.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Are you my middle name which I used to use
- 1:01Speaker 3: in high school? Anyway, like Heather Page?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Can it's a good name, it's a great name.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I oh, No, I threatened Terry sometimes if we're arguing that,
- 1:06Speaker 3: I'm going to go back to it. What do you
- 1:08Speaker 3: guys argue about? When I watch you on TV?
- 1:10Speaker 1: I'm like, this is like the perfect this is the
- 1:13Speaker 1: perfect couple from my perspective. And I grew up in
- 1:16Speaker 1: like a very traditional household. My parents were married until
- 1:19Speaker 1: the time my dad passed away.
- 1:21Speaker 3: And now mine too.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So you've seen was it a healthy relationship thing you saw?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Not?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:27Speaker 1: No, So when you met Terry, Like, how did you
- 1:32Speaker 1: know that he was going to be the one that
- 1:34Speaker 1: you were? Like, this is so real that I'm willing
- 1:36Speaker 1: to sign a contract with you.
- 1:37Speaker 3: I didn't and that I just think that's crazy. Like
- 1:40Speaker 3: marriage is a leap of faith and you could do
- 1:42Speaker 3: the best you can, but you don't know, no, and
- 1:45Speaker 3: you are you going to grow together or are you
- 1:47Speaker 3: going to grow apart? What's what challenges are you going
- 1:50Speaker 3: to face in your life? You don't know. You can
- 1:53Speaker 3: only do the best you can.
- 1:55Speaker 2: When you're in an argument. Do you raise your voice
- 1:57Speaker 2: ever at all?
- 1:59Speaker 3: I'm not surprise. I don't know if that's surprising. I'm
- 2:01Speaker 3: not a big yeller. Have I ever yelled? Yes? We
- 2:06Speaker 3: don't The good news is we don't fight about real things, thankfully,
- 2:11Speaker 3: we don't have these deep seated problems, or we don't
- 2:15Speaker 3: fight about money, we don't fight about I don't know
- 2:18Speaker 3: what else do people fight about. I don't know.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I haven't been in a relationship, or really.
- 2:22Speaker 3: We don't have anything that's like this deep seated, terrible
- 2:25Speaker 3: anything we fight about nonsense. But look, we've been together
- 2:30Speaker 3: twenty nine years, a long time. It is a long time.
- 2:32Speaker 3: It is a lifetime. And you have what I say
- 2:36Speaker 3: is like you have good days, bad days, good years,
- 2:38Speaker 3: bad years, which is true. But like I will tell you,
- 2:41Speaker 3: for instance, and anyone that listens to our podcast between
- 2:44Speaker 3: us knows this that we were sort of arguing for
- 2:46Speaker 3: two weeks and it started I don't even remember what
- 2:48Speaker 3: the original argument was about, but the argument was not
- 2:52Speaker 3: good and it kept going and it just like we
- 2:55Speaker 3: were irritating each other and he pissed me off, and
- 2:59Speaker 3: then we were like, we don't silent treatment, right, but
- 3:02Speaker 3: it was polite.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Okay, for like two weeks.
- 3:07Speaker 3: That's a long time. It was a long time. And
- 3:09Speaker 3: we had to go to a wedding and we were
- 3:12Speaker 3: away for the weekend and it was really and you
- 3:14Speaker 3: know what sucks. He is my best friend. And so
- 3:18Speaker 3: when I am pissed at him and I want to
- 3:20Speaker 3: talk to someone about whatever it is, I'm annoyed that
- 3:24Speaker 3: then I can't call him right how amazing though it's feeling.
- 3:28Speaker 3: But I will tell you, so we we did make
- 3:31Speaker 3: up and we got on the other side of it.
- 3:34Speaker 3: And that was a very intense, drawn out, daytime, sober conversation.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I like to say that, because never have important conversations
- 3:47Speaker 3: when you're tired, when there's alcohol on board, you know,
- 3:49Speaker 3: anything like that. Right. So, but here's the thing it was,
- 3:55Speaker 3: it's so good now that I said to him the
- 3:58Speaker 3: other day, I go, look, we had this bad weekend
- 4:01Speaker 3: and then we have to go to this wedding and
- 4:02Speaker 3: all these things go. I hated this, I hated that.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I hated these two weeks. But I will tell you
- 4:07Speaker 3: I'm okay with it because of where it brought us
- 4:10Speaker 3: right now. Wow, And I totally mean that.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Well I feel And again, I haven't been in a
- 4:18Speaker 1: committed relationship in quite some time, and I can't even
- 4:21Speaker 1: pinpoint like the last time I was in like a healthy,
- 4:24Speaker 1: productive relationship. But I do know that when you have
- 4:29Speaker 1: those arguments if you can learn something on the other side,
- 4:33Speaker 1: then that is the key to longevity in the relationship
- 4:38Speaker 1: when you be cause you have although you're in a
- 4:41Speaker 1: traditional marriage and family unit, you have a very untraditional life.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You have four children, which I cannot believe you told
- 4:48Speaker 1: me not to have any more kids.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Why did you say that?
- 4:50Speaker 3: Why did you say that my kids are might listen, No,
- 4:53Speaker 3: I mean I'm joking sort of. It's just it's a lot.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Children are a lot of work, and raising them is challenging,
- 5:03Speaker 3: and you know, they're different. I mean I started with
- 5:07Speaker 3: twins and I had never even held a baby before,
- 5:10Speaker 3: so two was like ten, right, And then I had
- 5:12Speaker 3: a third, so I had three hundred three and that
- 5:15Speaker 3: was insane. And then a surprise one four years after her.
- 5:20Speaker 3: So I had four kids in seven years. It was
- 5:22Speaker 3: just it was a lot. And also, you know who
- 5:26Speaker 3: I was as a person while I'm raising these kids.
- 5:28Speaker 3: And Terry and I were talking about this last night,
- 5:30Speaker 3: but it was like, you know, my youngest Ace is
- 5:32Speaker 3: seven years younger than the twins.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So do you find that that's a ginormous gap or
- 5:40Speaker 1: do they have things in common?
- 5:43Speaker 2: You're noticing how they get older, They're close.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yes, And I told them when they were younger, because
- 5:47Speaker 3: there are certain stages where it's like, oh, this is
- 5:50Speaker 3: so frustrating. They're bigger, they don't want to do the
- 5:53Speaker 3: little kid things anymore. The little kid wants to do
- 5:55Speaker 3: the big kid things. That there's definitely some difficulties with that,
- 5:59Speaker 3: but you get through it. But I told them this
- 6:01Speaker 3: hasn't happened yet, But I said, when the last of
- 6:03Speaker 3: you is twenty one, you're all the same age, Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 3: because you're all adults totally, so it will be fine.
- 6:09Speaker 3: But I mean with four, not all of them get along.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I grew up with one sister. It was just the
- 6:14Speaker 3: two of us. We had to get along. Do you
- 6:16Speaker 3: get along?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Now?
- 6:17Speaker 3: We do, but it's like, you know, we alway said,
- 6:19Speaker 3: wouldn't it be nice to have a conversational third, just
- 6:22Speaker 3: someone like a mediator kind of or yeah, tiebreak or
- 6:25Speaker 3: whatever it was. Yeah, but you know that wasn't in
- 6:28Speaker 3: the cards for me. With four, they don't always get along,
- 6:31Speaker 3: but like as they get older they do, Right, this
- 6:35Speaker 3: is so great. So we have a group chat with
- 6:37Speaker 3: the six of us and everyone sends pictures and you know,
- 6:41Speaker 3: I just landed or let me show you the cat
- 6:45Speaker 3: or you know, whatever it is, and it's really cute.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I found out yesterday that my four kids have their
- 6:51Speaker 3: own private group chat without us. That's amazing. I love it.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I love that makes you.
- 6:56Speaker 3: So happy because that is the goal is for them
- 7:00Speaker 3: to have their own independent relationships outside of us totally.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And that actually is one of my biggest fears in
- 7:08Speaker 1: thinking that I want to expand further beyond just the
- 7:12Speaker 1: two is you don't know, there's so many people. I know,
- 7:15Speaker 1: I come from Utah, so big families are like a
- 7:18Speaker 1: diamond doesn't and there's always one, two, three of the
- 7:23Speaker 1: kids who are like, we don't speak to them, we
- 7:25Speaker 1: don't acknowledge that they exist.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And I'm like, that is my biggest fear.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I know we have people in our family, not siblings
- 7:34Speaker 3: but like cousins, right that not my generation, but like
- 7:39Speaker 3: the parents that they stop talking to each other completely. Yeah, well,
- 7:42Speaker 3: it happens all the time. I cannot imagine I would
- 7:47Speaker 3: tell you that. And you're such an involved mom. I'm
- 7:50Speaker 3: sure you're the same way, but like you have to.
- 7:53Speaker 3: You promote relationships between them. You create memories, right and
- 7:57Speaker 3: you know, holidays and birthdays and it doesn't have to
- 8:00Speaker 3: be you know, the over the top. That's not what
- 8:02Speaker 3: I mean. I just mean, whatever your traditions are, totally
- 8:05Speaker 3: do with your kids, and they carry that with them
- 8:08Speaker 3: and it gives them a shared experience that no one
- 8:11Speaker 3: else has right but them. And if you are communicative
- 8:14Speaker 3: with them and you're open with them, they will always
- 8:17Speaker 3: come back to you and always come back to each other.
- 8:19Speaker 3: I agree with that, unless one's like a crazy asshole.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it goes rogue. You're like, where the fuck did
- 8:24Speaker 1: this and come from? That can happen right because we
- 8:28Speaker 1: have no control?
- 8:28Speaker 3: Yes, don't you have assholes in your family?
- 8:30Speaker 1: I don't talk to I mean I just talked to
- 8:32Speaker 1: my immediate family. There you go like I've written off cousins,
- 8:36Speaker 1: aunts and uncles.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Why all when you got famous.
- 8:39Speaker 1: No, they're the way that my dad was treated because
- 8:42Speaker 1: he decided to not be a Mormon anymore, and he
- 8:45Speaker 1: was looked at as the black sheep. And I just thought,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I'm really funny about religion just due to where I
- 8:51Speaker 1: come from and what I've seen. I'm raising my kids
- 8:55Speaker 1: spiritual and introducing them to all sorts of religions and
- 8:59Speaker 1: n higher power so that one day they can grow
- 9:01Speaker 1: up and say this resonates with me.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I'm going to take this on.
- 9:04Speaker 1: What I saw was my dad, who left the church
- 9:08Speaker 1: before I was even born. He was twenty two years old,
- 9:11Speaker 1: met my mom and that he was just like the
- 9:14Speaker 1: black sheep of the family. And I just thought how
- 9:17Speaker 1: wild it was that we could preach you know, this,
- 9:20Speaker 1: this arm that's off of Christianity with love and acceptance. Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: because my dad is choosing a different faith than you guys.
- 9:29Speaker 2: It was a lot of battle.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Life acceptance exactly.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It's really the door out of the door. I just
- 9:36Speaker 1: found that it didn't really make sense. So I only
- 9:39Speaker 1: speak with my immediate family, my brother's, my mom. But
- 9:43Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you the untraditional aspect of your life.
- 9:48Speaker 1: You have four kids, some of which identify with the
- 9:51Speaker 1: queer community. When those conversations happened, was there anything that
- 9:56Speaker 1: you experienced when you were growing up with your parents
- 9:59Speaker 1: where you said, I'm not going to do that.
- 10:01Speaker 3: This is how I'm going to rock it with my kid.
- 10:04Speaker 3: You probably maybe had this experience because I don't know.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I know your dad had left the church, but I
- 10:08Speaker 3: don't know how his upbringing affected his parenting style. But
- 10:13Speaker 3: I grew up with very nineteen fifties parents, okay, and
- 10:16Speaker 3: they talked about nothing. Everything was swept on the under
- 10:18Speaker 3: the rug. My sister and I didn't know what a
- 10:20Speaker 3: period was. I thought I was dying, I mean truly
- 10:24Speaker 3: like crazy. And then even when I got it, you
- 10:26Speaker 3: wouldn't let me wear tampons. I don't know why those
- 10:28Speaker 3: were like taboo. I just steal them from my aunt's house.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Swear to you, so crazy, and I thought it's so crazy.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I am the polar opposite. I have Diary of the Mouth.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I will tell you everything. I don't have any deep
- 10:41Speaker 3: seated secrets, like I like to share information. I talk
- 10:44Speaker 3: for a living, and that was never going to be
- 10:47Speaker 3: in the cards for me. And I'm married to a
- 10:48Speaker 3: doctor right who there is nothing taboo and everything is biology,
- 10:55Speaker 3: right And so we never sat down and said we're
- 10:58Speaker 3: going to raise orchids this. Yes, we never did that.
- 11:01Speaker 3: We probably should have, but we didn't. And I just
- 11:04Speaker 3: think that we're both of the minds that we've created
- 11:08Speaker 3: this really open family. I mean, like even to the
- 11:13Speaker 3: point where, okay, we're not like naked people. I don't
- 11:15Speaker 3: to say, like we're walking around the house all naked
- 11:18Speaker 3: in front of the kids all the time. But there
- 11:21Speaker 3: was never like a weird don't come in right, you
- 11:25Speaker 3: know what I'm saying totally that kind of attitude. It
- 11:29Speaker 3: was always just everything has always been okay, and anything
- 11:32Speaker 3: the children want to talk about it has always been okay.
- 11:34Speaker 3: So there was never sort of a defining moment like
- 11:37Speaker 3: we need to have a talk. It just it was.
- 11:41Speaker 3: It was Yeah. And even though listen, they share a
- 11:44Speaker 3: lot with fans, sometimes too much, too much, too much. Yeah,
- 11:47Speaker 3: I don't really want to know everything.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You know what, though, now that I'm a parent, I
- 11:54Speaker 1: just think because my dad leaving the church, you would think,
- 11:58Speaker 1: and my mom coming from a very Christian household and
- 12:00Speaker 1: her being raised to sweep everything under the rug, what
- 12:03Speaker 1: will the neighbors think?
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yes, we don't want to know, so let's just keep
- 12:06Speaker 2: the pretty picture.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I think when I entered the mix started having a voice,
- 12:10Speaker 1: my mom was very thrown off by it. I think
- 12:12Speaker 1: I broke the cycle. I think my brother broke the
- 12:15Speaker 1: cycle of like, it's okay to talk about struggles, and
- 12:18Speaker 1: it's okay for me to be on a reality show
- 12:20Speaker 1: where I talk about some real shit, because what's the
- 12:24Speaker 1: worst thing that's going to happen. Someone could relate to you.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Someone might say you're fucked up.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Oh big fucking deal. Wait, write I need to know
- 12:30Speaker 3: this because when I joined Housewives, my family was so
- 12:33Speaker 3: mean to me, really horrible.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Wow, yours wasn't. They did not watch the show, which
- 12:41Speaker 1: I was thrilled about. But like my mom and dad said,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I don't need to watch the show because I know
- 12:46Speaker 1: exactly who you are because you're like this at home.
- 12:49Speaker 1: So you told you took your top off under a waterfall, excellent,
- 12:54Speaker 1: You've done that with your friends many times.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You were talking about blowjobs.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Well, we've heard a lot about the blowjob and we
- 13:00Speaker 1: don't really want to so I just everything like you.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's not like we were all walking around naked, but
- 13:06Speaker 1: it was very much not.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Like ah, close the door, like right, It.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Was very much inside of the household, which later on
- 13:13Speaker 1: I think I broke the cycle with my mom and
- 13:15Speaker 1: her knowing like it's okay for people to know when
- 13:18Speaker 1: we're struggling.
- 13:20Speaker 3: My family's still not okay with it. That struggles. It's
- 13:24Speaker 3: so weird, like God forbid someone needed to go to
- 13:27Speaker 3: therapy or it was all very like yeah, no, you'll
- 13:31Speaker 3: be fine.
- 13:32Speaker 2: So do you worry, Like, so your dad passed away,
- 13:35Speaker 2: I think a year before.
- 13:36Speaker 1: My dad passed two years ago. Okay, so like twenty seventeen.
- 13:40Speaker 3: That's a not a math, Lola.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I'm the worst at math. By the way, do you.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Ever feel guilty discussing your upbringing?
- 13:49Speaker 3: So this season on the show, I actually talk about
- 13:52Speaker 3: my dad a little bit. Yeah, and you'll see I
- 13:54Speaker 3: can't give it away. But in the upcoming episodes, yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 3: I have sort of a cathartic moment about my dad.
- 14:02Speaker 3: So I never talked about it because first of all,
- 14:05Speaker 3: I was ingrained to never talk about the family. God
- 14:08Speaker 3: forbids someone would think anything was untoward or what the
- 14:13Speaker 3: truth was or what I mean. Okay, who cares? But fine,
- 14:18Speaker 3: I'm like you the same way. But it's not my
- 14:21Speaker 3: story to tell. And I never wanted to be ungrateful
- 14:26Speaker 3: to my dad, you know, because he may not have
- 14:29Speaker 3: been like this warm fight. He wasn't terry right, but
- 14:33Speaker 3: he did the best he could and he was from
- 14:34Speaker 3: a different generation also, he was a product of his
- 14:37Speaker 3: environment also, so I never wanted to do that. But
- 14:39Speaker 3: like after he passed away, and I never even thought
- 14:41Speaker 3: to consciously do it. But this season on the show
- 14:45Speaker 3: it came up.
- 14:57Speaker 1: We've seen the episode where you say that Tamra's outbursts
- 15:00Speaker 1: remind you a lot of your dad. Yeah, was were
- 15:06Speaker 1: you nervous to talk about that?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Like ye admitting like my dad would have outbursts.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I wasn't nervous to talk about it for myself. I
- 15:15Speaker 3: was nervous to talk about it for my mom. And
- 15:17Speaker 3: so when I talk about him, and you'll see what happens.
- 15:21Speaker 3: But I just don't ever want to do something to
- 15:25Speaker 3: hurt her, right, and so I could be a lot
- 15:28Speaker 3: more vocal about it, but I wouldn't do that. Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 3: Like I can talk to you about this right now
- 15:33Speaker 3: because she won't listen to your show.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Well that's rude.
- 15:36Speaker 3: I'm sorry she doesn't listen to mine. Just telling you
- 15:44Speaker 3: she won't even see a Google alert or an article
- 15:46Speaker 3: or anything. But like if it's I would hate to
- 15:49Speaker 3: her for to see a headline that had my name
- 15:53Speaker 3: in it that she would see or something. I just
- 15:56Speaker 3: feel bad.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I completely understood.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Someday when she is not around, I can talk about
- 16:02Speaker 3: a lot of things, but I still I think would
- 16:04Speaker 3: be I don't know, more respectful because I know it
- 16:09Speaker 3: would bother her so much because she is that way.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I know the.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Same with your kids. You're going to see because your
- 16:15Speaker 3: kids are so young and they're on TV. But when
- 16:20Speaker 3: they start to get older and you realize you can't
- 16:24Speaker 3: tell their stories for them. It's cute when they're little,
- 16:26Speaker 3: it's not a big deal, but once they start being
- 16:28Speaker 3: vocal about things, you have to take a step back
- 16:30Speaker 3: and go, Okay, well, how do I manage this?
- 16:34Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Heather, You've just put another thing in
- 16:37Speaker 2: my mind to keep me up at night.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh No, I do relate because when I was writing
- 16:43Speaker 1: my book years ago, I was like, this is the
- 16:46Speaker 1: time to really talk about the things that I saw
- 16:50Speaker 1: in my household and the things that I wish my
- 16:53Speaker 1: parents would have navigated differently in front of us, which
- 16:56Speaker 1: was in two thousand and eight, the recession that hit
- 16:59Speaker 1: my dad was in real estate development, and it hit
- 17:02Speaker 1: him hard, and because of his financial choices, where we
- 17:07Speaker 1: went from living We did not live how you guys live,
- 17:10Speaker 1: but we lived a beautiful life. We did not go without.
- 17:14Speaker 1: And it went from we're not going without too, we
- 17:18Speaker 1: could lose the house, we may not be able to eat,
- 17:20Speaker 1: and they're God for my mother, who was a working
- 17:23Speaker 1: woman from the time she could work, and she was
- 17:26Speaker 1: the plan B. And because I saw arguments that very
- 17:32Speaker 1: much had to do with money and frustration on my
- 17:34Speaker 1: mom's behalf, I go into situations very differently. I have
- 17:38Speaker 1: a very strange relationship with money. I am constantly thinking
- 17:42Speaker 1: about a plan B my house that I'm.
- 17:45Speaker 3: A strange relationship. That's a smart relationship.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Okay, So I started saying that I have a smart
- 17:49Speaker 1: relationship with money as well. I switched my mindset because
- 17:52Speaker 1: I'm like, this is actually a good thing because we
- 17:54Speaker 1: don't know what tomorrow is going to bring.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Absolutely, I loved the idea of.
- 17:59Speaker 1: When I bought my house Palm Springs, I was like,
- 18:01Speaker 1: if we hit on hard times, I can rent this bad.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Bitch out, that's right, the adu in my backyard.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I was like, I'm buying this because if we hit
- 18:07Speaker 1: on hard times, we can rent this bitch out, or
- 18:10Speaker 1: we move back there and rent the big house out.
- 18:12Speaker 2: So I'm just constantly thinking about the rainy day because
- 18:16Speaker 2: of my dad.
- 18:16Speaker 1: But I had a tremendous amount of guilt putting that
- 18:18Speaker 1: in my book because I know it was a pride thing.
- 18:21Speaker 1: For him, right, and he's supposed to keep the family together.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And I could tell he wanted to shout on the
- 18:27Speaker 1: top of the roof that like he was struggling. But
- 18:30Speaker 1: my mom was of the nature of what will the
- 18:33Speaker 1: neighbors think.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Isn't this terrible? There was not to tell the details
- 18:38Speaker 3: of it, but my parents had a financial situation that
- 18:43Speaker 3: did not need to happen, but they were of the
- 18:46Speaker 3: what would the neighbors think. Can't discuss finances with people ever,
- 18:52Speaker 3: And that was to their detriment and it took a
- 18:55Speaker 3: big financial hit. And Tyry and I are so the polarpposite.
- 19:00Speaker 3: But because of my upbringing, Terry when we first got
- 19:05Speaker 3: together and he would talk about money and first I
- 19:07Speaker 3: thought it was like showy, braggy, right, and then you know,
- 19:10Speaker 3: it's so uncouth to talk about money. How could you
- 19:14Speaker 3: do that? And then he would talk to his buddies
- 19:17Speaker 3: and I was like, that's crazy. You guys all talk
- 19:20Speaker 3: about your money and he goes yes, And then I realized, oh,
- 19:23Speaker 3: dumb ass, Heather, Like, that's how you they this is
- 19:27Speaker 3: how they communicate, They learn from each other. What are
- 19:29Speaker 3: you doing with this? So you're converting it to a
- 19:31Speaker 3: roth Ira, you're doing this thing. Hey, my tax guy
- 19:34Speaker 3: told me that, oh great, and that is the best
- 19:37Speaker 3: thing ever. And the gatekeeping that people do with their wealth,
- 19:43Speaker 3: with their skin and care, with their parenting, with all
- 19:46Speaker 3: the things right crazy to me. So we don't gatekeep it.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It's good, thank God.
- 19:52Speaker 1: By the way, the skincare thing is, I saw Megan
- 19:55Speaker 1: Fox on some interview and she was gatekeeping one of
- 19:59Speaker 1: her something she did with her face, and I'm like,
- 20:02Speaker 1: how could you do that to everybody?
- 20:05Speaker 3: Yeah, here's my thing, here's my thing about facial stuff.
- 20:09Speaker 3: I just feel like, if you want to get work done,
- 20:12Speaker 3: go I have. I mean, it's awesome, it pays the mortgage,
- 20:16Speaker 3: so get it all, get it all done. But I
- 20:22Speaker 3: don't think that people have to disclose everything. I don't
- 20:27Speaker 3: think it's fair to people. I think if you want
- 20:29Speaker 3: to go get your breast done, get your facelift, like,
- 20:33Speaker 3: whatever it is you want to do, go do it.
- 20:35Speaker 3: And if you want to tell people, fantastic, And if
- 20:37Speaker 3: you don't, that is your prerogative. But the only caveat
- 20:41Speaker 3: is do not go get that stuff done and then
- 20:44Speaker 3: tell me you drink water and get nine hours okay,
- 20:47Speaker 3: because that kisses me off.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that pisses me off to that ain't true.
- 20:50Speaker 1: But also if you go and you have, you know,
- 20:53Speaker 1: a niptuck or an injection here there, and you look amazing,
- 20:55Speaker 1: how are you.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Not gonna tell me? I want to go get that done?
- 20:58Speaker 3: I know, I don't know. I haven't had it done.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I mean, I get needles and stuff, but don't.
- 21:03Speaker 2: We all have. They're all tak It's so funny.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Fifty six.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I we're going to talk about peptides on because I
- 21:10Speaker 1: want to get your thoughts. But I have the hardest
- 21:12Speaker 1: time injecting my peptides.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I saw you with the peptides on social media.
- 21:16Speaker 1: But the moment it's time for botox, I'm like anywhere
- 21:18Speaker 1: you want to put needles to the face, I don't care.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Well, did you did you talk about this? Did you
- 21:22Speaker 3: do IVF?
- 21:23Speaker 1: I did not do IVF. So I conceived so sad,
- 21:27Speaker 1: just the the scientific sexual way where it's like text
- 21:32Speaker 1: the doctor io yep I U, I stirrups, yeah, needle
- 21:36Speaker 1: instead of a dicky. You know, let me know in
- 21:39Speaker 1: two weeks if you're pregnant. And I was going to
- 21:41Speaker 1: do it a third time until you told me I
- 21:46Speaker 1: met with a psychic though, and he told me that
- 21:48Speaker 1: I'm going to have another baby, but with a man,
- 21:50Speaker 1: and I just refuse.
- 21:51Speaker 3: No, Heather, Heather, Just so you know, my first three
- 21:54Speaker 3: were IVF and the last one apparently was the penis,
- 22:00Speaker 3: and apparently it was with Terry's and I'm telling you
- 22:05Speaker 3: it was a dry spell. I do not know. I
- 22:09Speaker 3: how that happened, I don't know.
- 22:12Speaker 2: So you did IVF with the first three.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Had twins IVF. Those are the embryos. I got. That's
- 22:17Speaker 3: what we got, okay. And then I wanted the experience
- 22:19Speaker 3: of having just one, so he did IVF again. I
- 22:22Speaker 3: ended up with three embryos, put one in okay, got
- 22:24Speaker 3: cat okay. And then she had some issues talk about gatekeeping, parenting.
- 22:29Speaker 3: She had some issues. At fifteen months, she wasn't crawling, walking, talking, nothing,
- 22:35Speaker 3: And I took her to this neurologist and they said
- 22:38Speaker 3: she wouldn't have four words by the age of four.
- 22:40Speaker 3: And she was a practic. It was so heart wrenching,
- 22:44Speaker 3: and I she went she was in speech therapy, and
- 22:46Speaker 3: she was in physical therapy and all the things. She's
- 22:49Speaker 3: at Yale.
- 22:49Speaker 2: By the way, that is incredible.
- 22:51Speaker 3: He was wrong he was very he was very wrong.
- 22:54Speaker 3: But she did need speech therapy, she needed a push
- 22:58Speaker 3: to get going. And she's a I mean a brilliant,
- 23:01Speaker 3: well obvious and talented and sweet. She's like we call
- 23:05Speaker 3: her the good one. Yeah, there's always the one good one.
- 23:08Speaker 3: She's really good. But because I was so scared, we
- 23:13Speaker 3: had two frozen embryos and I thought done not having
- 23:17Speaker 3: any more kids. We're very lucky, we have three healthy kids.
- 23:20Speaker 3: And we started later anyway. I'm like, we're good, check
- 23:23Speaker 3: the box, no more kids. But I was infertile, so
- 23:26Speaker 3: that's why we did IVF right, So I was like,
- 23:29Speaker 3: I wasn't really worried about it. And then I got pregnant. Wow, yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 3: I was forty one.
- 23:34Speaker 2: The higher power had a different plan for you.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Man. Try being forty one year old, pregnant, chasing three
- 23:41Speaker 3: little ones. I can't even imagine. Oh, it's exhausted.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I'm exhausted twenty four to seven, And I'm like, how
- 23:49Speaker 1: does one get unexhausted?
- 23:51Speaker 3: You don't, but it's a different kind of exhausted. You
- 23:53Speaker 3: go from that your kids are so little, it's physically
- 23:56Speaker 3: exhausting right up, and then they're sick and you chase them,
- 24:00Speaker 3: and then you play a certain way and then you're
- 24:02Speaker 3: in the pool all the time, or you're on the
- 24:04Speaker 3: slide and you're instantly going. And then you add.
- 24:08Speaker 1: The reality television aspect. Because I've been out of the
- 24:13Speaker 1: game for two years, I've been like strictly mom. And
- 24:16Speaker 1: I have to say I loved it because, as you know,
- 24:19Speaker 1: it's such a fleeting time.
- 24:21Speaker 3: It's a good break too.
- 24:22Speaker 2: It's a great break.
- 24:23Speaker 1: And I got to be at you did take a
- 24:25Speaker 1: break and you and I got to be at every
- 24:27Speaker 1: drop off and pickup and dance recital and it was
- 24:29Speaker 1: like mom time with the kids playing. I got to
- 24:31Speaker 1: experience that and it was wonderful. And now I'm juggling
- 24:36Speaker 1: trying to be a present mom then the mom guilt
- 24:39Speaker 1: on top of now filming a show again.
- 24:41Speaker 3: And did you have that shock when you went.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Back to OC where it was like, oh, we're like,
- 24:47Speaker 1: no one skipped a beat and we're thrown into the
- 24:51Speaker 1: lions den.
- 24:53Speaker 3: The show had changed from it. I mean, well, first
- 24:57Speaker 3: of all, I was gone for four seasons, which equated
- 24:59Speaker 3: to five years because of the pandemic, and that had happened,
- 25:03Speaker 3: so that kind of changed everything to you. Right, So
- 25:06Speaker 3: the world was a bit different. And when I left
- 25:09Speaker 3: the show. So I started the show when my youngest
- 25:11Speaker 3: child was nine months old and he's starting fifteen in December.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Is that crazy? So my kids were a little crazy.
- 25:19Speaker 3: They were nine months old to seven and a half.
- 25:21Speaker 3: So when I started and when I left five years later,
- 25:25Speaker 3: do the math on that, they were still little. But
- 25:27Speaker 3: when I came back, they were now older, right, And
- 25:33Speaker 3: so it was like better and worse in a way
- 25:36Speaker 3: because everyone was in real school, which is a lot
- 25:39Speaker 3: easier because you can film a lot while they're at school,
- 25:42Speaker 3: which is nice. Yeah, that is nice. Yeah, it was
- 25:46Speaker 3: very strange to come back. But I was still working
- 25:49Speaker 3: in between. I wasn't just home YouTube channel. I've had
- 25:52Speaker 3: a podcast for a decade, like Hustle. I was like
- 25:55Speaker 3: I was always and little guest stars here and there,
- 25:57Speaker 3: stuff like that, scripted and know, writing books with Terry
- 26:01Speaker 3: and doing stuff like that.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I need a nap just thinking about all that stuff.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Yes, so you know we've done TV shows together and
- 26:10Speaker 3: what you know, I'm always doing something.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I know you are and it's amazing to watch. By
- 26:15Speaker 2: the way, I don't.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Feel guilty because here's the thing, you know this is
- 26:20Speaker 3: your path. And part of what's incredible about you is
- 26:25Speaker 3: how you are this single parent with these incredible kids
- 26:28Speaker 3: and you have a career and a podcast and you're
- 26:32Speaker 3: a book and the thing, and you hustle, you do
- 26:34Speaker 3: all these things and making it work. You are a
- 26:37Speaker 3: balancing Yet, yes, there is no perfect balance.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I don't think so either there's not, there's And there
- 26:44Speaker 1: was a woman who said to me, and I passed
- 26:46Speaker 1: this along to all my other mom friends who are
- 26:48Speaker 1: feeling mom guilt. But I was saying to her that
- 26:53Speaker 1: I was struggling with the mom guilt and you know,
- 26:57Speaker 1: I feel like I've been dropping the ball. And she
- 26:59Speaker 1: was like, they are going to be day is where
- 27:01Speaker 1: your kids are simply loved and fed, and that's a
- 27:03Speaker 1: win and fucking take it.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Yes, and I would like it. Okay, you know what
- 27:07Speaker 2: all is good?
- 27:08Speaker 3: Listen. The other day, Terry and I were going because
- 27:12Speaker 3: with four two, even with two, one one's up, one's down,
- 27:16Speaker 3: one's sick, one's healthy, one's happy. One said like, there
- 27:20Speaker 3: are very rare moments where everyone's okay. And when I
- 27:24Speaker 3: tell you, I soak. I don't care if it's an hour,
- 27:27Speaker 3: everyone's good.
- 27:28Speaker 1: That hour.
- 27:29Speaker 3: That's a win. I don't know from Terry.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Oh nudies.
- 27:34Speaker 3: No, I never sent a nude in my life. By
- 27:37Speaker 3: the way, if you saw Terry's camera, but it's all nudes.
- 27:43Speaker 3: This does nothing for me. It's funny. I did say
- 27:48Speaker 3: to him. I remember we first got together. I was like,
- 27:50Speaker 3: it's gonna be okay, this is all real, you know,
- 27:53Speaker 3: like I think I still am the only yes, good
- 27:56Speaker 3: for you. I think I'm the only plastic surgeon's wife
- 27:58Speaker 3: with real boobs. Oh yeah, it's possible. But anyway, I'm
- 28:02Speaker 3: just saying like, yeah, I don't know that nudes would
- 28:05Speaker 3: do it for him. He likes silly stuff.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Okay, so like what is silly?
- 28:09Speaker 1: What would you send Terry if you guys hadn't seen
- 28:10Speaker 1: each other he was like out of town for a
- 28:12Speaker 1: weekend or whatever.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Well, I would probably make noise. We make noises to
- 28:16Speaker 3: each other, and they're like mating sounds. I don't know,
- 28:18Speaker 3: like he could like if if we're if we are,
- 28:21Speaker 3: if we're like at a restaurant, right and we both
- 28:23Speaker 3: go to the restroom and he's waiting for you outside
- 28:25Speaker 3: of goh nuh, and I'll go, oh no, it's like
- 28:29Speaker 3: we call each other that's so fucking cute. We're so
- 28:32Speaker 3: ridiculous and we've been together so long that we have
- 28:34Speaker 3: so many private jokes together. Our kids, I mean they
- 28:38Speaker 3: laugh and they roll their eyes at us, but we
- 28:39Speaker 3: have like he could say one word to me in
- 28:41Speaker 3: a crack up like we're just stupid stuff. I mean.
- 28:45Speaker 3: But that's not to say we don't have a great
- 28:47Speaker 3: sex life. We have a great sex life.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Can I ask you, as a woman who's been married
- 29:02Speaker 1: for twenty nine years, what is a great sex life? Like?
- 29:07Speaker 2: How many times a week?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Like?
- 29:08Speaker 3: What can? It? Depends? It depends, Yeah, okay, depends this
- 29:12Speaker 3: week not to be TMI a lot. Good for you
- 29:14Speaker 3: because we were fighting so we just made up. So
- 29:16Speaker 3: we're like and we're in a good spot right now,
- 29:19Speaker 3: and then we're going to be in the Bahamas next week.
- 29:21Speaker 3: That's gonna be like hotel sex for us. Game on.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Do you still put it in the mouth sometimes?
- 29:26Speaker 3: Good for you? Yeah, But he's a reverse cowgirl kind
- 29:29Speaker 3: of guy, yes, yeah, of course he is. Yeah, but
- 29:34Speaker 3: like we're still like interested and interesting and you know,
- 29:38Speaker 3: bring things in the bedroom and have like toys.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, can I tell you my favorite toy is the
- 29:43Speaker 1: vibrator that goes in the underwear and then the.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Guy gets to hold the little clicker. So wherever you
- 29:49Speaker 2: are in the party and you're like.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I've seen that. That is not us. That do Harry?
- 29:56Speaker 2: I think it's hot.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Terry's like not like he's very different. Once the bedroom
- 30:02Speaker 3: door is closed, Well it sounds like it he wants
- 30:06Speaker 3: you know, Yeah, we have a good time.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Ask towards the face. Does he do BBLS.
- 30:11Speaker 3: No, he's against them. He thinks they should be completely outlawed.
- 30:14Speaker 3: It's the most dangerous procedure. Okay, people die from it. Yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 3: I want to.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I want to get into like the plastic surgery and
- 30:21Speaker 1: stuff on the bonus, But I just wanted to know
- 30:22Speaker 1: if he did BBLS. Is there has there ever been
- 30:25Speaker 1: a point in time where you and arrygo do we
- 30:27Speaker 1: do we do housewives anymore?
- 30:29Speaker 2: Do we do the TV thing anymore?
- 30:31Speaker 3: I mean, definitely not do we do the TV thing anymore?
- 30:34Speaker 3: I mean we always have something in development, like literally
- 30:36Speaker 3: right now, Okay, there's a game show. There's a fun show.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Don't you think like the competition shows, it's a different level,
- 30:45Speaker 1: Like the stakes are higher in a different way.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Yeah, filmy.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Reality TV is tough.
- 30:50Speaker 3: It's tough.
- 30:50Speaker 2: They come in, you know, what have you been up to?
- 30:53Speaker 2: It's like, oh, I know what we're doing.
- 30:54Speaker 1: We're talking about our storyline and it's like, well, my
- 30:57Speaker 1: life's pretty peaceful right now, which I know you guys don't.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Want to DIY. Sorry, everything's okay. Maybe something tragical happened
- 31:03Speaker 3: in the next forty minutes. Yeah, no, it is. It's
- 31:07Speaker 3: a tough show to do. I mean, I'm not gonna
- 31:09Speaker 3: be at it forever obviously, but you know, I'm so
- 31:12Speaker 3: grateful for the platform. I really mean this that what
- 31:16Speaker 3: is important to me after having been such a piece
- 31:20Speaker 3: of pop culture, is that I wanted to live on appropriately.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Like I'm not of the mind like when I leave,
- 31:28Speaker 3: I mean to burn the house down, you know. I'm
- 31:31Speaker 3: not like that. I'm like, hey, let's keep bringing on
- 31:35Speaker 3: interesting people and so it's gonna have a life. I
- 31:40Speaker 3: love that. Can I tell you.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I was in full panic in the bath last night
- 31:43Speaker 1: and I was like, the Housewives, You're going to start
- 31:46Speaker 1: getting older and not want to do it?
- 31:48Speaker 3: What would happen? What will happen? What am I going
- 31:51Speaker 3: to watch?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Because you all of us are going to get older
- 31:54Speaker 2: and I'm.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Already old, but there could you like, we love our house.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I have so much and I hate change, Like when
- 32:02Speaker 1: a new face appears, I'm like, I don't know about this.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know. But that's why it's
- 32:05Speaker 3: got people have to come in slowly. But we've had
- 32:07Speaker 3: really great hires that have blended in really seamlessly. Yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 3: and that have longevity and I love that. Okay, So
- 32:14Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to seeing you know what happened because
- 32:18Speaker 3: next season for us is season twenty. It's amazing, which
- 32:21Speaker 3: is the first house I've season to go to. Twenty
- 32:23Speaker 3: obviously were the first sorts of you know, it's iconic,
- 32:25Speaker 3: it's cool, and I think they have a lot of
- 32:27Speaker 3: fun stuff planned. So I'm excited for that.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Okay, So we can expect because a lot of people
- 32:33Speaker 1: are wanting to see you on Beverly Hills and it
- 32:35Speaker 1: makes sense because you live here.
- 32:37Speaker 3: But you know what, here's the thing about that, because yeah,
- 32:40Speaker 3: here's the thing about that. You know where I live
- 32:43Speaker 3: to Newport Beach is the same distance from Newport Beach
- 32:45Speaker 3: to Cota Dekaza, Right, So I mean.
- 32:48Speaker 1: People, I really don't understand how the traffic works around here, right.
- 32:51Speaker 3: So it's this, It's it's really if I lived in
- 32:54Speaker 3: Laguna Miguel or Dana Point, it would take me the
- 32:57Speaker 3: same amount to get to to the coort to go
- 32:59Speaker 3: to someone's, but it would still be in Orange County
- 33:02Speaker 3: just because I'm over the county line. Whatever. They're my friends.
- 33:06Speaker 3: I've been involved with the show for almost fifteen years,
- 33:08Speaker 3: and I'm very happy where I am.
- 33:11Speaker 2: You gotta be a part of twenty Yeah, But.
- 33:13Speaker 3: The reason why I said that, honestly, I mean I
- 33:15Speaker 3: joked it was the commute, which partially is. But also,
- 33:19Speaker 3: you know, we film in Orange Counties, so sometimes I
- 33:22Speaker 3: worry that there's a faction of my life that they
- 33:24Speaker 3: don't get to see, right, So that's a little bit
- 33:28Speaker 3: of a bummer. But I look, I'm very happy where
- 33:31Speaker 3: I am, very grateful for all that. But as far
- 33:34Speaker 3: as doing reality TV, there's other things that I'm like
- 33:37Speaker 3: developing and working on the reality space. I do, but
- 33:42Speaker 3: not necessarily my story, right, pass it on and yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 3: and also I like producing, so you know, I'm also
- 33:52Speaker 3: developing things that I don't have to be in.
- 33:54Speaker 2: That's nice, which I love. Yeah, that's fun.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Takes the pressure off totally, and now you get to
- 33:58Speaker 1: be the guy that's like, you're really not bringing it.
- 34:00Speaker 2: You need to share more.
- 34:01Speaker 3: You the tears.
- 34:04Speaker 2: We'd really like to see more tears from you.
- 34:06Speaker 3: Yes, please? Did you hit the left eye?
- 34:08Speaker 1: Did you like having Gretchen a part of the season?
- 34:12Speaker 3: It did? I mean, I'm not really sure from the
- 34:15Speaker 3: top that I realized how much it was going to
- 34:17Speaker 3: affect camera. Yeah. I stupidly thought that they would hit
- 34:23Speaker 3: the restart button, right because when I joined the show,
- 34:27Speaker 3: and I said this on the after show, but when
- 34:29Speaker 3: I joined Housewives, they became friends.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Right, So I know, was that the friendship bracelets giving?
- 34:36Speaker 3: Yeah? Season seven, like they were friends right, travel together,
- 34:41Speaker 3: we had a lot of fun together. And then on
- 34:44Speaker 3: Gretchen's last reunion, things didn't go that great, and so
- 34:48Speaker 3: you know, we had some issues, all of us, but
- 34:51Speaker 3: I didn't think it was insurmountable, right. And then I
- 34:55Speaker 3: don't know why their relationship went south over the last decade,
- 34:58Speaker 3: but it did. Don't really know why that happened.
- 35:01Speaker 1: So the podcast, man, Yeah, the podcast and everyone in
- 35:04Speaker 1: control and all the things, all of it.
- 35:06Speaker 3: So I thought, you know what, maybe they'll she'll come
- 35:08Speaker 3: back on, they'll have a conversation and we'll move on,
- 35:11Speaker 3: because no one wants to argue about stuff from fifteen
- 35:13Speaker 3: years ago.
- 35:14Speaker 1: No, And it was a lot. It was a lot
- 35:16Speaker 1: on a pent up anger for fifteen years, happy for
- 35:19Speaker 1: her to come.
- 35:20Speaker 3: And I thought, you know, it's interesting to see where
- 35:23Speaker 3: she is all these years later, and she still was
- 35:25Speaker 3: slated and she is like a five year old and
- 35:27Speaker 3: it's just fun. Yeah. I do you think she'll be back?
- 35:30Speaker 3: I don't know. Will they ask me back? Yes, I
- 35:34Speaker 3: mean I think.
- 35:35Speaker 2: So, because you're a fucking icon. Well, thank you, we
- 35:38Speaker 2: love Heather Page Kent, thank you.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know. Yeah, the reunion was
- 35:47Speaker 3: a lot.
- 35:48Speaker 2: You guys just filmed that. Have you recovered? Are you
- 35:53Speaker 2: exhausted mentally?
- 35:54Speaker 3: Still? I'm still a little tired. But I thought it
- 35:56Speaker 3: was really good. The audience is going to really like it, Okay,
- 36:00Speaker 3: a lot. It'll definitely be three parts. Well, good for
- 36:02Speaker 3: you guys.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Can you tell us where were you placed in the
- 36:07Speaker 2: middle of the couch.
- 36:08Speaker 3: They put the seating up already?
- 36:10Speaker 2: Oh did they? Where were you seated?
- 36:12Speaker 3: I was seated? It went Andy, Tamar, Gina, Me, Katie.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Okay, Oh so Katie did come.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah, great, and then it went Jen, Emily, Shannon Gretchen. Okay.
- 36:29Speaker 3: I thought the seating was really good and I think
- 36:32Speaker 3: people will understand it when they see the reunion. And
- 36:35Speaker 3: I thought it was a really good reunion. Well.
- 36:39Speaker 2: As a viewer, I'm excited.
- 36:41Speaker 1: It's hard for me because I know how the sausage
- 36:43Speaker 1: is made, but I'm also enjoying it as just a viewer. Yeah,
- 36:47Speaker 1: I thought you guys crushed this season. I found it
- 36:50Speaker 1: to be amazing. Are you and Tamra are you guys good?
- 36:53Speaker 3: We're good.
- 36:54Speaker 2: You guys have a really sweet friendship.
- 36:56Speaker 3: We have been friends a very long time. You know
- 36:59Speaker 3: what the hard part is. I can't stand when people
- 37:01Speaker 3: are like, what if she have on you? Why are
- 37:03Speaker 3: you always sticking up? Or it's like, dude, when you
- 37:06Speaker 3: are in a room and everyone is against one person,
- 37:09Speaker 3: isn't it nice that you're the friend that tried Hey,
- 37:11Speaker 3: maybe let's look at the other side. Maybe. Isn't that
- 37:15Speaker 3: what you do for a friend? Yeah?
- 37:16Speaker 1: And you're just like amazing at being able to hold
- 37:20Speaker 1: her accountable and point out the things that she did
- 37:22Speaker 1: wrong while also maintaining that you're on her team.
- 37:28Speaker 3: I tried you because my take home to a friend
- 37:31Speaker 3: is we are friends, and so that's the basis of
- 37:35Speaker 3: what we're doing here, right, And we can still have
- 37:37Speaker 3: an argument, and we can still you know, disagree and
- 37:41Speaker 3: all those things, but you got to remember we're friends. Yeah,
- 37:45Speaker 3: So don't cross the line, don't get shitty. That's how
- 37:50Speaker 3: we have to work with each other.
- 37:52Speaker 1: You have conquered the art of the way you speak.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I'd give a lot of money. Where'd you go to school?
- 37:58Speaker 3: I went to Syracuse. I was a musical theater major.
- 38:00Speaker 3: We did I heard you? I w I heard you
- 38:02Speaker 3: quoted me at a reunion. Yes, I did.
- 38:06Speaker 2: I did, And I wanted them to air it so badly.
- 38:09Speaker 3: What'd you say?
- 38:10Speaker 1: I said to Tom Sandoval, I said, in the words
- 38:13Speaker 1: of Heather Dubro, when everyone around you says you're dead,
- 38:16Speaker 1: it's time to lie down. God bless Because he just
- 38:18Speaker 1: kept going. I was like, fuck it, we're all you're dead.
- 38:21Speaker 1: We all agree.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Someone texted me and goes, oh my god, Lalla's quoting
- 38:24Speaker 3: you on set.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Well, because everything that comes out of your mouth is
- 38:28Speaker 1: just like dripping in just gold.
- 38:31Speaker 2: And I just love everything you say.
- 38:34Speaker 1: And you stay level headed, but you're so fucking interesting,
- 38:37Speaker 1: whereas like I think I'm only interesting if I'm ripping
- 38:40Speaker 1: someone's head off. That is.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Ask. There's a reason your podcast does so well. Everyone
- 38:45Speaker 3: wants to hang out with you and hear you speak.
- 38:47Speaker 3: But I have to ask you about the diamond. Oh,
- 38:49Speaker 3: the diamond.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Yes, this was my engagement ring and I popped out
- 38:54Speaker 1: the middle stone. I kept the setting in case Ocean
- 38:58Speaker 1: wants it one day, and I put on my neck
- 39:00Speaker 1: because it was just.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Sitting there so smart.
- 39:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I just how do you feel about lab diamonds.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I am of the mindset of whatever you want, that
- 39:12Speaker 1: is what you should go and get.
- 39:13Speaker 2: If you don't care about the lab diamonds.
- 39:15Speaker 1: I don't want to get in trouble because if I
- 39:16Speaker 1: say I love diamonds, that mean I love blood diamonds.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a really good point.
- 39:20Speaker 2: It's a slippery slope, and that's why I prefer.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I have this conversation with every
- 39:28Speaker 3: someone people that I know that love jewelry. I ask
- 39:32Speaker 3: because I'm curious what people think, and I've spent so
- 39:34Speaker 3: much money on diamonds.
- 39:36Speaker 2: We can't tell.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, it irritates me that you could get it
- 39:40Speaker 3: so much less and you can you can't tell. And
- 39:43Speaker 3: apparently the only machine you buy that can tell is
- 39:47Speaker 3: twenty thousand dollars, so no one has the machine. I know,
- 39:49Speaker 3: but I don't know. Am I too much of a
- 39:51Speaker 3: snob to do it? I know you I have a girlfriend.
- 39:56Speaker 3: We can't tell you it is. But she's famous and wealthy.
- 39:59Speaker 3: And you bought some lab diamonds and I was like, no, did.
- 40:03Speaker 2: You did you see that?
- 40:04Speaker 3: Yes? I did? Did you see them? I did? I
- 40:07Speaker 3: don't know, I mean, could I tell? But then I
- 40:11Speaker 3: think about this. Maybe it's the way they were set
- 40:13Speaker 3: because she didn't spend that much money on these. She
- 40:15Speaker 3: just bottom she was at a thing. So then I
- 40:18Speaker 3: was like, all right, well a lab diamond, all right?
- 40:21Speaker 3: So I heard someone say it's like flowers. Whether the
- 40:25Speaker 3: rose is grown in the wild or it's grown in
- 40:28Speaker 3: a hothouse, it's still a rose. That's true. Okay, So
- 40:33Speaker 3: if you're growing a diamond, it's still you have to
- 40:36Speaker 3: look at the I mean, they can't grow it perfect.
- 40:39Speaker 3: It grows however, it grows, right, So there's still different qualities.
- 40:44Speaker 3: But then it comes to the diamond cutter, right, because
- 40:47Speaker 3: there's an art arm to cutting a diamond for the
- 40:50Speaker 3: most brilliant and the most this and the most that,
- 40:51Speaker 3: and the way you set it and the design of
- 40:53Speaker 3: the setting and all the things. So I mean, I
- 40:56Speaker 3: guess you could get a LAB diamond.
- 40:58Speaker 2: I don't think you're sold on the lab diamonds, and
- 40:59Speaker 2: I don't. I don't think you should.
- 41:01Speaker 3: I got this, like right under the wire, because if
- 41:04Speaker 3: Terry had known that lab diamonds were a thing, he
- 41:07Speaker 3: never would have.
- 41:08Speaker 2: It is so gorgeous.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I I cannot see that.
- 41:15Speaker 3: So yeah, I put my initials diamonds on the side,
- 41:19Speaker 3: and then underneath are Terry's diamonds. And he says it's
- 41:23Speaker 3: because he's holding the weight of the diamond like that,
- 41:25Speaker 3: and I go, no, it's because I like to be
- 41:27Speaker 3: on top. Oh my god, I fucking love you. Can
- 41:33Speaker 3: I ask you about your nails? Yes, that's what about
- 41:35Speaker 3: the nails? Okay? So I used to have square nails,
- 41:37Speaker 3: and then a couple of years ago my kids were like,
- 41:39Speaker 3: you look old, you can't have square nails whatever, So
- 41:42Speaker 3: I changed to this. So I've been wearing this very
- 41:45Speaker 3: similar to yours, and oval. I really like it. It elongates
- 41:48Speaker 3: the finger. I enjoy it. But lately I'm a pilates
- 41:51Speaker 3: girl now, and all of the plates girlies that are
- 41:53Speaker 3: all like you, young and fit and gorgeous, they all
- 41:57Speaker 3: have shorter, square nails. And I need to know, La, La,
- 42:00Speaker 3: what is the thing it's.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Not happening for?
- 42:02Speaker 1: Okay, I like Heather, I have hands the size of
- 42:06Speaker 1: Shaquille O'Neal. You joking, I cut these nails off. You're
- 42:10Speaker 1: gonna think that you're getting a hand job from a man.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Happening I love, And the only reason is be a
- 42:18Speaker 1: thing to make your nails suter you would think, you
- 42:21Speaker 1: would think.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Now, look at the size of my hands.
- 42:26Speaker 3: You do have tons the veiggest very long fingers, but
- 42:30Speaker 3: that's very elegant though.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Yeah, well my mom like their piano fingers.
- 42:34Speaker 3: And the piano. The piano.
- 42:37Speaker 2: No, but I have a gorgeous piano.
- 42:39Speaker 1: So you and Terry have a new podcast because now
- 42:43Speaker 1: we're both a part of Bravo. We're both a part
- 42:45Speaker 1: of the iHeart Family, the Kent Sisters, the Kent I'm
- 42:49Speaker 1: loving all of this. It's called between us. You had
- 42:53Speaker 1: a podcast solo though first, right, for like a decade,
- 42:55Speaker 1: for a decade, yes, So what is it like? Now
- 42:58Speaker 1: having your husband as your co host.
- 42:59Speaker 3: You know it's We have written three books together, okay,
- 43:02Speaker 3: we have done TV shows together, and I mean so
- 43:07Speaker 3: many things that you know. Some couple's golf, some have hobbies.
- 43:12Speaker 3: We like to work, we like to make content. We've
- 43:14Speaker 3: had a skincare and supple bedline for eleven twelve years.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Feel free to send me some Oh do you want
- 43:19Speaker 2: to forgive me a link?
- 43:20Speaker 3: No? No, I'll buye.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I'm not stingy Noppin either. I am a skinny.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Our skincare is great, it's all I use. It's really great.
- 43:27Speaker 3: I have really sensitive skin. So anyway, but we have
- 43:31Speaker 3: done all these things together, and so we started doing
- 43:33Speaker 3: these tiktoks, which, according to my children, are very cringing,
- 43:36Speaker 3: but we were getting millions and millions of hits on them.
- 43:40Speaker 3: So after being so long with my podcast, I was
- 43:45Speaker 3: really just ready for something a little bit different, okay.
- 43:48Speaker 3: And after the TikTok thing, I said to Terry, I go,
- 43:51Speaker 3: this is so crazy. Why don't why don't we just
- 43:53Speaker 3: do a podcast together? And he was like, oh, I
- 43:56Speaker 3: love this idea. Let's so so we've been doing it.
- 43:58Speaker 3: It's been so good for us. But I will tell
- 44:01Speaker 3: you I will eventually probably do another one that's a
- 44:07Speaker 3: little more girl coded love it and probably be with
- 44:11Speaker 3: one or two I'm talking about it right now, but
- 44:13Speaker 3: probably with one or two other women, because I miss
- 44:20Speaker 3: the girl part of the conversation right and there is
- 44:24Speaker 3: such a big part, Like everyone loves being tear together
- 44:26Speaker 3: and they love the relationship stuff and the money talk
- 44:29Speaker 3: and the real love about money stuff, but all that stuff,
- 44:33Speaker 3: and I think it's such great conversation and it's stuff
- 44:37Speaker 3: that people haven't been privy to before with us, so
- 44:40Speaker 3: that's really fun. But I know also people are missing
- 44:44Speaker 3: that side of catching up about the kids and you know,
- 44:48Speaker 3: that kind of day to day stuff.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Yeah, the stuff that you talk about with your girlfriends
- 44:51Speaker 2: that like bonds women. I love that.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Where can we listen to your podcasts? Yours and Terry's.
- 44:59Speaker 3: It's called between us and it's anywhere you get your podcasts.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Let's do it on iHeart or anywhere you get them.
- 45:04Speaker 3: I love it. What day is it air?
- 45:05Speaker 2: Did you say Wednesday?
- 45:09Speaker 3: I love it.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Thank you so much for coming on untraditionally La La.
- 45:12Speaker 1: I appreciate it. Thank you guys for listening.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I'm going to catch you on Monday for the bonus,
- 45:15Speaker 2: and again next week.
- 45:16Speaker 1: Bye.
