- 0:02Speaker 1: On Scolus Oscodia. This is the Reader Panety Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Paney Show.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Coming up tonight, I speak to an Australian comic taken
- 0:14Speaker 3: to court over an offensive joke, a new allegend racism
- 0:18Speaker 3: scandal at Collingwood Football Club. Douglas Murray will give his
- 0:22Speaker 3: verdict on Paris and that Kamala Harris Rebrand. Also joining
- 0:28Speaker 3: me tonight is Army Horowitz and Daniel Wilde and of
- 0:31Speaker 3: course left He's losing it tonight featuring actress and alleged
- 0:35Speaker 3: comic Chelsea Handler.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I mean, my god, are we tired?
- 0:40Speaker 4: You?
- 0:41Speaker 5: Sad diet, mountain dew drinking, couch humping, dolphin portante fiscionado,
- 0:45Speaker 5: All of us childless, cat and dog ladies are going
- 0:48Speaker 5: to go from childless and crushing it to childless and
- 0:50Speaker 5: crushing you.
- 0:51Speaker 3: In November, let's start with the biggest story in the
- 0:55Speaker 3: Ossie Rule States. Forget about the Olympic because it's all
- 0:58Speaker 3: about Collingwood Football Club being embroiled in a new racism
- 1:02Speaker 3: scandal with allegations against chief executive Craig Kelly, who stands
- 1:06Speaker 3: accused of joking about putting a live, effing possum in
- 1:10Speaker 3: a special room for Indigenous players, and calling an Aboriginal
- 1:14Speaker 3: elder a disparaging term. The allegations come from the club's
- 1:18Speaker 3: former head of First Nation Strategy, Mark Klever. Documents have
- 1:23Speaker 3: been filed with the Federal Circuit and Family courts. Michael
- 1:27Speaker 3: Warner reports that it's also alleged in these documents that
- 1:30Speaker 3: about halfway back to the office on or about High
- 1:34Speaker 3: Street or Hoddle Street, an Asian lady was walking across
- 1:38Speaker 3: the road nearing the middle of the road.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Mister Kelly swerved the.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Car so it passed close by her, yelled statistic and laughed.
- 1:48Speaker 3: There are also allegations that Craig Kelly said to mister Cleaver,
- 1:52Speaker 3: why do you need to use Google Maps? I assume
- 1:54Speaker 3: your people can navigate with their eyes closed, and earlier
- 1:59Speaker 3: during that troup, mister Cleaver, who documents detail identifies as
- 2:03Speaker 3: non binary and gay, allegience mister Kelly told him we
- 2:07Speaker 3: are taking my car. It's a real man's car. There
- 2:12Speaker 3: are several other allegations mister Cleaver is seeking compensation for
- 2:17Speaker 3: He is seeking compensation for hurt, humiliation and distress, and
- 2:21Speaker 3: economic loss Collingwood, though, is standing by its CEO.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Here is a club president, Jeff.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Brown Mark's employment was terminated for unrelated to the complaint
- 2:36Speaker 6: that he lodged.
- 2:39Speaker 3: His employment was terminated for other reasons associated.
- 2:42Speaker 1: What were those reasons?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Dishonesty meaning dishonest conduct in what context? In a number
- 2:49Speaker 2: of respects?
- 2:50Speaker 3: Joining me now is Deputy Executive director of the Institute
- 2:53Speaker 3: of Public Affairs, Daniel Wild Dan, how do you see
- 2:57Speaker 3: this story? Collingwood is certainly ending by its CEO. The
- 3:02Speaker 3: president there said he was absolutely behind the CEO and
- 3:06Speaker 3: they were going to fight these allegations.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Well, based on what's been reported, some of what's been
- 3:11Speaker 7: said is clearly out of bounds. I don't know the
- 3:13Speaker 7: broader context though it was said, if it was said,
- 3:16Speaker 7: if the context and so forth is important, So I
- 3:19Speaker 7: don't want to get into the details of that before
- 3:21Speaker 7: we know, of course information, but there is I think
- 3:23Speaker 7: a broader point is why do football clubs have ahead
- 3:25Speaker 7: of indigenous strategy? You know, the issue here is that
- 3:29Speaker 7: identity politics has seeped into every single area of our lives,
- 3:33Speaker 7: including sporting codes. Clearly, if there are issues of racism,
- 3:38Speaker 7: they need to be dealt with but we've talked about
- 3:39Speaker 7: this before. This is often used as a cudgel to
- 3:42Speaker 7: say that the systemic racism throughout sport and using football
- 3:48Speaker 7: clubs and other sporting organizations as a tool for politics
- 3:52Speaker 7: rather than just getting on the field and trying to
- 3:53Speaker 7: win the game.
- 3:54Speaker 3: And AFL clubs, including Collingwood, have been fairly eager to
- 3:59Speaker 3: play politics. We saw that during the Voice debate.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And they all took a position.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I don't think anyone really, I don't think there was
- 4:07Speaker 3: a massive demand from their fan base to form a
- 4:10Speaker 3: position that they have been internally well, yeah, statistically, most
- 4:14Speaker 3: of their fans would have voted no. Speaking more broadly
- 4:18Speaker 3: about this issue and the media coverage, we saw some
- 4:21Speaker 3: major missteps and that's putting it kindly from the media
- 4:25Speaker 3: during their coverage of the Hawthorne racism scandal. Do you
- 4:29Speaker 3: think the media has learned from that episode and is
- 4:32Speaker 3: taking a more measured approach now?
- 4:34Speaker 7: Sadly not. I think the media has been implicated. They
- 4:38Speaker 7: were almost all in favor of the Voice to Parliament.
- 4:40Speaker 7: You have a lot of activists that are in the
- 4:42Speaker 7: media rather than proper journalists. Now, there are some good
- 4:44Speaker 7: journalists that do a good job but by and large
- 4:47Speaker 7: journalism has become a tool for political activism rather than
- 4:50Speaker 7: factual reporting. They're very eager to jump on anything that
- 4:53Speaker 7: will support their narrative that Australia is a bad, racist,
- 4:56Speaker 7: backward country. And sadly sometimes that narrative gets out for
- 5:00Speaker 7: or they actually have a proper command of the facts.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Absolutely, And as for the Collingwood case, getting back to that,
- 5:06Speaker 3: of course, we'll bring you the latest as the.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Matter is fought out in court.
- 5:11Speaker 3: We are not passing any judgment whatsoever on those allegations. Now,
- 5:16Speaker 3: let's talk about labor politicians piling on Nationals front bencher
- 5:20Speaker 3: Barnaby Joyce for comments they claim are inflammatory and worthy
- 5:25Speaker 3: of him being sacked. Let's listen to those comments first.
- 5:29Speaker 3: These comments have enraged not only labor but segments of
- 5:34Speaker 3: the media.
- 5:35Speaker 8: Your greatest power is organizing on a national level. And
- 5:40Speaker 8: your greatest weapon is to turn up in numbers in
- 5:44Speaker 8: camera in Macquarie Street, in George Street, in Queen Street.
- 5:48Speaker 8: And the bullet you have is that little piece of
- 5:51Speaker 8: paper and it goes in the magazine called the Voting Box,
- 5:56Speaker 8: and it's coming up.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Get ready to load that magazine.
- 5:59Speaker 8: Go goodbye, Chris goodbye Stephen, goodbye Albow.
- 6:11Speaker 3: He likened a vote going into a ballad box to
- 6:15Speaker 3: a bullet going into a magazine. And now Labor MP
- 6:18Speaker 3: and Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister Patrick Gorman is
- 6:21Speaker 3: calling for Barnaby to be sacked.
- 6:24Speaker 9: This was some of the most extreme language we have
- 6:27Speaker 9: seen from an Australian politician in recent memory. It was
- 6:30Speaker 9: extreme language used by a senior member of Peter Dutton's
- 6:33Speaker 9: front bench. Extreme language used by someone who sat for
- 6:36Speaker 9: years on the National Security Committee. I'm not calling for
- 6:40Speaker 9: Barnaby Joyce to resign, I'm calling for Peter Dutton to
- 6:42Speaker 9: sack him.
- 6:43Speaker 6: This is une for David Little Proud too.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Well.
- 6:47Speaker 9: Peter Dutton is the leader of the Coalition. Peter Dutton
- 6:49Speaker 9: says that he will be a prime Minister who will
- 6:52Speaker 9: make tough calls. Well, this is the first tough call
- 6:55Speaker 9: that he needs to make if he thinks he should
- 6:57Speaker 9: be anywhere near a leadership position. He's just waiting for
- 7:01Speaker 9: the Nationals to give him permission. It shows how weak
- 7:03Speaker 9: he is and it shows that there is no low
- 7:06Speaker 9: standard that he won't let walk by.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Daniel. Where does one start.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Does the Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister not understand
- 7:14Speaker 3: that Peter Dutton can't sack a nationals MP and frankly,
- 7:19Speaker 3: why would he want to over those comments.
- 7:20Speaker 7: Well, Paul Patrick's having a hard time there. I mean,
- 7:22Speaker 7: I've never really heard of him until that. To be
- 7:24Speaker 7: honest with you, I don't know what he's been doing
- 7:26Speaker 7: with this time. But Peter Dunt's not the leader of
- 7:28Speaker 7: the coalition. He is the leader of the opposition of
- 7:30Speaker 7: the Liberal Party. So it's a distinction that Patrick might
- 7:32Speaker 7: want to read up on given that he is in government. Look,
- 7:35Speaker 7: the other point, the other point that I'd make is look,
- 7:38Speaker 7: Barnaby's apologized for his language. It was probably a bit
- 7:40Speaker 7: over the top, but the fundamental thing he's saying is
- 7:43Speaker 7: there's a lot of communities in regional Australia that are
- 7:45Speaker 7: being steamrolled by the inner city elites and the energy
- 7:48Speaker 7: corporations who are putting solar panels, wind turbines, high tension,
- 7:51Speaker 7: high voltage transmission lines across their land. And what Barnaby
- 7:54Speaker 7: is saying is you need to organize, get active, you
- 7:57Speaker 7: have to go and actually communicate your issue on a
- 7:59Speaker 7: national scale. The groups together because this is a national issue,
- 8:02Speaker 7: not just a localized, regional issue. So the substance of
- 8:05Speaker 7: what he was saying was spot on. But I think
- 8:08Speaker 7: you know, he's apologized for the bullet comment and probably
- 8:10Speaker 7: fair enough.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Yeah, there's plenty of analogies you can make, there's other ones,
- 8:14Speaker 3: but I don't think anybody listening to that would have felt.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Compelled to do anything unlawful.
- 8:22Speaker 7: I mean, come on, what he I mean what Patrick
- 8:25Speaker 7: said that this is the most extreme language used or something?
- 8:27Speaker 7: What about what the Palestinian protest was saying it in
- 8:31Speaker 7: relation to October sees?
- 8:33Speaker 3: What about his own colleague up colleague up until a
- 8:36Speaker 3: few weeks ago saying from the river to the sea,
- 8:38Speaker 3: Palestine will be free.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Did he come on stein complain about it?
- 8:41Speaker 7: Would have condemned that?
- 8:42Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Now Meta's fact checkers are claiming that an iconic image
- 8:48Speaker 3: now Trump after his near assassination is an altered photo.
- 8:55Speaker 3: You'll remember this image where he got up, put his
- 8:58Speaker 3: fist up, said fight. Absolutely outrageous but not surprising. Now
- 9:03Speaker 3: we've got a Facebook representative who has admitted this was
- 9:07Speaker 3: a mistake and apologized. But the so called fact checks
- 9:12Speaker 3: on Meta that's both Facebook and Instagram are highly partisan
- 9:17Speaker 3: and always Daniel in the one direction spot on.
- 9:21Speaker 7: They're not apologizing because they got it wrong. They're apologizing
- 9:24Speaker 7: because they got caught out. And that's always the way
- 9:27Speaker 7: We've talked about this before with the fake fact checkers.
- 9:30Speaker 7: The analysis we did the Voice to Parliament fact checking
- 9:32Speaker 7: was ninety percent of fact checking was against the No
- 9:36Speaker 7: against the No side, despite the fact that it was
- 9:37Speaker 7: the Yes side that was perpetrating misinformation and it was
- 9:40Speaker 7: our beneasy. He said, oh, this is just a modest
- 9:42Speaker 7: a small, modest request. Now you're changing the constitution along
- 9:45Speaker 7: racial lines. So look, this is the concern with misinformation
- 9:49Speaker 7: laws as well as we know the way that they
- 9:51Speaker 7: would be policed by people like e Safety Commissioner is
- 9:55Speaker 7: through these fact checking organizations, which, as you say, are
- 9:58Speaker 7: blatantly political and compromised and cannot be trusted.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Oh.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Absolutely, And if it wasn't for X and Elon Musk
- 10:07Speaker 3: buying X, we wouldn't be having an apology and withdrawal
- 10:10Speaker 3: of this particular fact check because they wouldn't be embarrassed
- 10:13Speaker 3: because that would also exist across X, like it did
- 10:16Speaker 3: in twenty twenty where they buried that New York Post
- 10:19Speaker 3: story on Hunter Biden's laptop. They worked in unison across
- 10:23Speaker 3: the board to suppress that story.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Daniel Wylde, thank you so much for your time this evening.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 10:28Speaker 3: My next guest is the author of international bestsellers, including
- 10:32Speaker 3: his latest The War on the West.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Douglas Murray.
- 10:35Speaker 3: The Paris Olympics are underway and the controversy around that
- 10:40Speaker 3: drag queen heavy opening ceremonies behind us. The French have
- 10:45Speaker 3: done their absolute best to present an idealic version of
- 10:49Speaker 3: Paris that you, arguing your latest piece for the Spectator
- 10:53Speaker 3: no longer exists. Indeed, you ask, will we always have Paris?
- 11:00Speaker 10: Well, that idyllic Paris does exist in the center, but
- 11:05Speaker 10: only as long as you have tens of thousands of
- 11:08Speaker 10: policemen and soldiers stationed on the streets. And I think
- 11:13Speaker 10: that this is something which not just France, but Britain, Australia,
- 11:17Speaker 10: America and all other Western liberal societies have to think about.
- 11:20Speaker 10: You know, there was a g had a cell that
- 11:23Speaker 10: was stopped just a few weeks ahead of the Olympics
- 11:25Speaker 10: trying to carry out and attack on the Olympics. A
- 11:28Speaker 10: number of other groups have been found trying to disrupt
- 11:31Speaker 10: it as well. On the opening day, there was a
- 11:34Speaker 10: massive and still pretty much underreported the story that happened
- 11:39Speaker 10: where some of the main power grids in France that
- 11:43Speaker 10: stopped that were helping the trains run, were all taken
- 11:46Speaker 10: out in a simultaneous attack by people who clearly knew
- 11:49Speaker 10: what they were doing.
- 11:50Speaker 1: They grounded a lot.
- 11:51Speaker 10: Of the of the movement of people in France on
- 11:54Speaker 10: that crucial day. And I think that it's a question
- 11:57Speaker 10: which Goodness knows, France has been a mule but has
- 12:00Speaker 10: not come up with many answers on yet, which is,
- 12:03Speaker 10: you know, what do you do when you have people
- 12:06Speaker 10: in your society who actually want to humiliate and embarrass
- 12:11Speaker 10: your country on what's meant to be it's proudest a
- 12:15Speaker 10: day and showing off its proudest achievements. Maybe it'll go
- 12:20Speaker 10: by peacefully, of course everyone hopes it will be. But
- 12:22Speaker 10: these are not good signs.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Really, not at all.
- 12:27Speaker 3: And even when you're a tourist in Paris these days,
- 12:30Speaker 3: it's hard not to notice the disharmony, the racial, religious divisions,
- 12:36Speaker 3: the crime. The Australian Olympians were warned against wearing their
- 12:41Speaker 3: team uniforms outside the Olympic village due to safety concerns.
- 12:46Speaker 3: So even with that enormous police presence, it's still an issue. Now,
- 12:51Speaker 3: let's talk about a woman who is undergoing a rather
- 12:54Speaker 3: dramatic rebrand. Kamala Harris is being presented by the Democrats
- 12:58Speaker 3: and the US media as a vibrant and visionary, completely
- 13:03Speaker 3: competent presidential candidate. Just look at the cover of this
- 13:08Speaker 3: is New York magazine. It's incredible, it is real. A
- 13:11Speaker 3: lot of people think this is some sort of a parody.
- 13:13Speaker 3: There's Kamala sitting on top of a giant coconut, surrounded
- 13:16Speaker 3: by celebrating Democrat heavyweights Pelosi, Obama. You can see Beyonce
- 13:22Speaker 3: and George Clooney. I think there as well. Douglas, are
- 13:25Speaker 3: you excited for the Camelot era?
- 13:30Speaker 10: It's amazing what can happen in a few weeks, isn't
- 13:32Speaker 10: it reata? I mean when you and I last spoke,
- 13:35Speaker 10: Joe Biden was still staggering on pretending he had another
- 13:39Speaker 10: four more years, four and a half more years in him,
- 13:42Speaker 10: and everyone in the legacy media, with a few noble exceptions,
- 13:46Speaker 10: was saying, absolutely, this guy is the future. He maybe
- 13:49Speaker 10: eighty one, but he's the future. And we won't hear
- 13:52Speaker 10: any talk to the contrary. Now, of course, Joe Biden
- 13:55Speaker 10: is already the past and has been clearly unceremoniously ditched
- 14:00Speaker 10: at the behests of leaders of his own party, and
- 14:03Speaker 10: now the whole story has to change. So again, when
- 14:06Speaker 10: you and I last boat Rita Kamala Harris was one
- 14:10Speaker 10: of the most foot in mouth politicians of our era,
- 14:13Speaker 10: a person of very few discernible talents and who had
- 14:17Speaker 10: absolutely all the qualities of leadership apart from followers. And
- 14:22Speaker 10: now what a difference a few weeks makes, because now,
- 14:26Speaker 10: of course it's New York Magazine and all those same
- 14:28Speaker 10: legacy media again with a few noble exceptions, are seriously
- 14:33Speaker 10: trying to push Kamela on the not just American public,
- 14:37Speaker 10: but the world public as the savior of the republic.
- 14:41Speaker 10: And it's quite a sight to behold. You know, these
- 14:46Speaker 10: are long weeks in politics these days. They're several months
- 14:51Speaker 10: until the election. Goodness knows what will happen in the meantime.
- 14:55Speaker 10: But I reckon that this varmish and gloss and razmataz
- 15:01Speaker 10: that the Democrat loyal media trying to push is not
- 15:05Speaker 10: really going to stick. I think it's going to wear
- 15:08Speaker 10: off pretty fast.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I think so.
- 15:12Speaker 3: And at the same time, they've tried to bury what
- 15:17Speaker 3: happened with Trump and the attempted assassination. It's almost like
- 15:21Speaker 3: that has already been memory hold. And you would expect
- 15:27Speaker 3: so much more coverage and scrutiny about what happened that
- 15:32Speaker 3: day than many failures of the Secret Service and local
- 15:35Speaker 3: authorities to allow that to happen the way he did.
- 15:39Speaker 3: But Douglas, there seems to be very little interest in
- 15:43Speaker 3: pursuing that story from the bulk.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Of the media.
- 15:46Speaker 10: Well, it's not just the story of that reta, but
- 15:49Speaker 10: I think it's the story also of what led up
- 15:51Speaker 10: to it. I mean, the only person responsible for this
- 15:53Speaker 10: so far as we know at the moment is the gunman,
- 15:56Speaker 10: and his motives are still being looked into by the
- 16:00Speaker 10: intelligence services and so on. But the thing that strikes
- 16:04Speaker 10: me is, you know, in the run up to that
- 16:06Speaker 10: attempted assassination of former President Trump, leading Democrats including Kamala
- 16:12Speaker 10: Harris and Joe Biden were all again with their amen
- 16:16Speaker 10: chorus in the media saying, you know, this is going
- 16:21Speaker 10: to be the last election you can vote in. This
- 16:23Speaker 10: is a vote you know on democracy, This is an
- 16:25Speaker 10: election about democracy and whether we never whether we get
- 16:28Speaker 10: the chance to ever vote again. And by the way, women,
- 16:32Speaker 10: you're all going to be sold into servitude, and all
- 16:36Speaker 10: of these white supremacists like JD. Vance and his wife
- 16:40Speaker 10: are all going to kill you all all the time.
- 16:43Speaker 10: And they were doing that right up until the day
- 16:47Speaker 10: of the attempted assassination.
- 16:49Speaker 1: There were a.
- 16:50Speaker 10: Few hours of merciful silence and decency, and now they're
- 16:56Speaker 10: back at it again. They are back at it again.
- 16:58Speaker 10: And you know, you and I have talked about this before. Rita,
- 17:03Speaker 10: if you think, if you think, and keep saying, or
- 17:06Speaker 10: keep saying and don't think, but just say it anyway.
- 17:08Speaker 10: As I say that Donald Trump is Hitler and it's
- 17:12Speaker 10: going to be the fourth right if he gets a
- 17:14Speaker 10: second term in power, it's not surprising if somebody is
- 17:18Speaker 10: going to decide that the great fantasy of going back
- 17:21Speaker 10: in time and killing Hitler is now your opportunity.
- 17:25Speaker 1: And you can do it.
- 17:27Speaker 10: We know because this had happened in twenty sixteen, when
- 17:29Speaker 10: a young British man tried to seize a gun from
- 17:32Speaker 10: a policeman at a Trump rally in order to try
- 17:34Speaker 10: to shoot them. Candidate Trump, nobody toned down the rhetoric
- 17:39Speaker 10: in the years since. If anything, they ramped it up.
- 17:42Speaker 10: And if this were any other scenario Rita, there wouldn't
- 17:46Speaker 10: just be a focus on the gunman. There would be
- 17:49Speaker 10: a focus on all the people that made these hyperbolic
- 17:53Speaker 10: and histrionic claims. For years and people will be saying,
- 17:57Speaker 10: why don't we tone it down a bit, why don't
- 18:00Speaker 10: we stop pretending that, you know, Donald Trump and JD.
- 18:04Speaker 10: Vance are white supremacist hicclerrites and just recognize there are
- 18:09Speaker 10: other Americans with a different vision of where we're going
- 18:12Speaker 10: in America and they need to be taken on for
- 18:15Speaker 10: their arguments. But no, oh no, the ability to do
- 18:20Speaker 10: that lasted a few minutes some Saturdays ago, and now
- 18:23Speaker 10: they're back at it, and I think it's shameful. For one,
- 18:26Speaker 10: I don't think it's it's a discourse that should be
- 18:29Speaker 10: in politics, because at the end of the day, the
- 18:31Speaker 10: people who made those arguments have been in what should
- 18:34Speaker 10: be a much stickier position because they're saying, this guy
- 18:38Speaker 10: is hitler, but I'm sorry he wasn't killed. Well, good
- 18:41Speaker 10: luck holding onto that those.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Two ideas at the same time.
- 18:45Speaker 10: Good luck, And.
- 18:48Speaker 3: You are so right that reckless retrick started within minutes,
- 18:53Speaker 3: literally within minutes. Some people held out for a few hours,
- 18:57Speaker 3: but they're all back at it now. In the Biden
- 19:01Speaker 3: administration being consistent, to say the least, when it comes
- 19:05Speaker 3: to America's support of Israel in its war against Haamas,
- 19:10Speaker 3: what sort of Middle East policy would we see under
- 19:13Speaker 3: a Kamala Harris administration. The Vice President gave us an
- 19:17Speaker 3: insight after her meeting with Benjamin Netting Yahoo. She told
- 19:20Speaker 3: the Israeli Prime Minister the war must come to an
- 19:24Speaker 3: end and vowed to not be silent about suffering in Gaza,
- 19:28Speaker 3: and in what CNN called a notable moment, Harris concluded
- 19:32Speaker 3: her remarks by telling reporters that the war in Gaza
- 19:37Speaker 3: is not a binary issue.
- 19:40Speaker 11: It is important for the American people to remember the
- 19:43Speaker 11: war in Gaza is not a binary issue. However, too
- 19:48Speaker 11: often the conversation is binary when the reality is anything but.
- 19:54Speaker 11: So I ask my fellow Americans to help encourage efforts
- 19:59Speaker 11: to igno knowledge the complexity, the nuance, and the history
- 20:04Speaker 11: of the region. Let us all condemn terrorism and violence,
- 20:09Speaker 11: let us all do what we can to prevent the
- 20:12Speaker 11: suffering of innocent civilians, and let US condemn anti Semitism, Islamophobia,
- 20:20Speaker 11: and hate of any kind.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Douglas, what do you make of those comments?
- 20:28Speaker 10: I mean, it's well, I mean it's, first of all,
- 20:30Speaker 10: of course, it's tip top advice from Vice President Harris,
- 20:33Speaker 10: isn't it She said to Benjaminea who that the war
- 20:37Speaker 10: should end. I'm sure that's absolutely fresh to him. He
- 20:41Speaker 10: must be surprised that's never occurred to him or anyone
- 20:46Speaker 10: in his government. Everybody wants the war to end. But
- 20:50Speaker 10: you know, what is Kamela's plan to get back the hostages,
- 20:53Speaker 10: including the American hostages that are held by Hamaz and
- 20:56Speaker 10: other Islamic militants in Gaza. What's her plan to get them?
- 21:00Speaker 10: She's weirdly silent about it. What is her great expertise
- 21:05Speaker 10: in warfare or indeed in anything much to start lecturing
- 21:10Speaker 10: an ally that is at war with an enemy that
- 21:13Speaker 10: wishes to annihilate it, it's.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Astonishing to me.
- 21:17Speaker 10: I mean, if she wants to stop the killing, what's
- 21:21Speaker 10: Kamala Harris's plan for stopping Hezbollah launching rockets into Israel
- 21:25Speaker 10: like the one this week that killed more than ten
- 21:30Speaker 10: incredible young children. Drew's children from the extraordinary Druze community
- 21:36Speaker 10: in Israel. What's her plan to stop hez Buala rocketing
- 21:41Speaker 10: Israeli children when they're playing in a field in northern Israel.
- 21:46Speaker 10: What's her plan? I mean, I'd love to know the
- 21:49Speaker 10: truth is I don't think she knows one of the things.
- 21:52Speaker 10: By the way, you can also always tell when somebody
- 21:54Speaker 10: really hasn't studied any complex issue. Is saying banalities like
- 21:59Speaker 10: this is binary issue. Actually parts of this are very binary.
- 22:04Speaker 10: You're either with Israel or you're with Hamas. You either
- 22:08Speaker 10: want Hamas to be defeated or you.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Want Israel to be defeated. You either want.
- 22:13Speaker 10: The hostages to be returned and Hamas to be destroyed,
- 22:18Speaker 10: or you want the Israelis to fail in their war aims.
- 22:23Speaker 10: And so no, sorry, that is binary. And if Kamala
- 22:26Speaker 10: Harris doesn't think it is, perhaps she could look to
- 22:30Speaker 10: her supporters, including the ones who were obviously enormously energized
- 22:34Speaker 10: by her decision to skip the Nettnya who speech the
- 22:38Speaker 10: joint Sessions of Congress in order to fulfill a very
- 22:41Speaker 10: important sorority speaking engagement on the other side of the country.
- 22:46Speaker 10: The people who took enormous courage from her stance and
- 22:49Speaker 10: thought the history was behind them by turning out on
- 22:52Speaker 10: the streets of DC as I saw with my own
- 22:54Speaker 10: eyes shouting horrible slurs and among others black policemen who
- 23:01Speaker 10: were doing their best to guard the Capitol that day,
- 23:04Speaker 10: and shouting white supremacists at them, and then marching through Washington,
- 23:08Speaker 10: DC calling for the annihilation of Israel and the annihilation
- 23:12Speaker 10: of the United States of America. These people were burning
- 23:15Speaker 10: the American flag on the streets of Washington, d C.
- 23:19Speaker 10: So actually that is kind of binary. Are you with
- 23:22Speaker 10: the flag burners or against them? I know where I stand.
- 23:26Speaker 10: I wish that Kamala Harris made it clearer where she did.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Now, Kamala, as you mentioned, wasn't there, But you were
- 23:35Speaker 3: there as Benjaminetta Ya who delivered his speech to the
- 23:38Speaker 3: United States Congress.
- 23:40Speaker 2: You were sitting there next.
- 23:41Speaker 3: To Elon Muska, right behind Noah Agami and who was
- 23:46Speaker 3: rescued in June after being abducted by her mass on
- 23:50Speaker 3: October seven, Did you have a chance to speak with
- 23:54Speaker 3: her and also tell me about why Elon Musk was there.
- 24:00Speaker 10: For Elon Musk and I were invited as guests the
- 24:03Speaker 10: Prime Minister, and it with my enormous honor to sit
- 24:06Speaker 10: there among the some of the hostage families, people still
- 24:11Speaker 10: waiting for their loved ones to be returned, among families
- 24:16Speaker 10: who have lost loved ones in Gaza, people who have
- 24:20Speaker 10: had their relatives kidnapped and killed in Gaza. And also,
- 24:24Speaker 10: of course the remarkable Noah. Yes, both Elon and I
- 24:28Speaker 10: got a chance to speak with her. It was enormously powerful.
- 24:32Speaker 10: I mean, here was a young, beautiful young woman abducted
- 24:36Speaker 10: from the Nova Music. First of all, had obviously lost
- 24:41Speaker 10: many of her friends, have been held for months in
- 24:44Speaker 10: the most appalling circumstances, and was only released not through
- 24:49Speaker 10: any act of nature or desire of call of Kamala
- 24:54Speaker 10: Harris or anyone else, but by brave members of the
- 24:57Speaker 10: IDF who went into Gaza extraordinary rescue mission to rescue
- 25:02Speaker 10: her and three other hostages some weeks back. And of
- 25:05Speaker 10: course a member of the idea F was killed in
- 25:07Speaker 10: that rescue operation.
- 25:09Speaker 1: She's a remarkable.
- 25:10Speaker 10: Young woman, and you know, it's just when we first
- 25:14Speaker 10: saw that footage of her being taken away in absolute
- 25:18Speaker 10: terror on the back of a motorcycle, I think many
- 25:23Speaker 10: people fear they wouldn't see her again. But you know,
- 25:25Speaker 10: she's a remarkable young woman, and she's back back with
- 25:29Speaker 10: her family and back with her loved ones, and I
- 25:31Speaker 10: hope that happens for all the other hostages who are
- 25:34Speaker 10: still being held and who the world seems to have
- 25:36Speaker 10: forgotten about.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Well, So, Douglas Murray, thank you so much for your time.
- 25:41Speaker 10: This evening great pleasure, as always, reta thank.
- 25:44Speaker 2: You still to come.
- 25:46Speaker 3: And lefties losing it and Armi Horowitz takes a deep
- 25:50Speaker 3: dive into all things Carmala.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Welcome back.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Now it's time for lefties losing it and the affluent
- 26:06Speaker 3: white female liberals awful for short. They are mobilizing for
- 26:11Speaker 3: the Democrats, and they have a compelling message. I mean,
- 26:15Speaker 3: who wouldn't be swayed by this?
- 26:17Speaker 12: This is a message for every single person who looks
- 26:20Speaker 12: like me, specifically white women.
- 26:24Speaker 1: It's time.
- 26:26Speaker 12: This is no longer about politics, and you get to
- 26:29Speaker 12: write your wrongs of twenty sixteen when you didn't put
- 26:32Speaker 12: a woman in the White House who was overly qualified.
- 26:36Speaker 12: Now's your chance.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Thank god I don't look like her, because I think
- 26:39Speaker 3: that means I don't have to listen to her. But
- 26:42Speaker 3: you white women, well sorry, but this is apparently a
- 26:46Speaker 3: life and death matter, no hyperbole there.
- 26:49Speaker 12: This is no longer about red versus blue. This is
- 26:54Speaker 12: our lives that we are playing with. And the piece
- 26:58Speaker 12: that you have control, Oliver, is who you vote for
- 27:02Speaker 12: in November. You need to find a spine to stand
- 27:06Speaker 12: up against the white men in your life who are
- 27:09Speaker 12: telling you who should be your president.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Yes, ignore the white men and listen to this white woman.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Makes perfect sense.
- 27:17Speaker 3: And here is another totally sane white woman who has
- 27:21Speaker 3: a message for America. Here is comic Chelsea Handless rant
- 27:25Speaker 3: about jd Vance's childless cat lady comments.
- 27:29Speaker 12: I mean, my god, are we tired you?
- 27:32Speaker 5: Sad diet, mountain dew drinking, couch humping, dolphin portante ficionado.
- 27:37Speaker 5: All of us childless cat and dog ladies are going
- 27:40Speaker 5: to go from childless and crushing it to childless and
- 27:42Speaker 5: crushing you in November.
- 27:45Speaker 3: And here is another white woman, this time may Derange
- 27:49Speaker 3: MSNBC contributor, claiming that jd Vance's comments are motivated by
- 27:54Speaker 3: you guessed it, white supremacy. Here have any wants more
- 27:58Speaker 3: white children?
- 28:00Speaker 13: The stats are there more and more Americans choosing not
- 28:02Speaker 13: to have kids, which again emphasizes why jd Vance's comments
- 28:05Speaker 13: about childless Americans, childless Calaites could be so polically damaging.
- 28:09Speaker 5: Well, so what's interesting is this is this needileism that
- 28:12Speaker 5: comes from an authoritarian playbook, right, that there need to.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Be more white children. Right, that's the idea that there's you.
- 28:18Speaker 7: Know, this is about great replacement theory.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Racism, right, this is what this is.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So don't misunderstand it.
- 28:25Speaker 12: For him wanting more children, he wants a certain kind
- 28:28Speaker 12: of you know, racist thing.
- 28:31Speaker 2: What can you say to that?
- 28:33Speaker 3: Jd Vance is the father of three biracial children. His
- 28:38Speaker 3: children are not white, you dim witted race baiting simpleton.
- 28:43Speaker 3: And look, it's not just white women for Kamala. The
- 28:46Speaker 3: Democrats have really embraced their segregationists past. And they've also
- 28:51Speaker 3: got what they call white dudes for Harris. This group,
- 28:55Speaker 3: and yes, they do look exactly as you'd expect. Don't
- 28:59Speaker 3: you just love a white men only group created in
- 29:01Speaker 3: the name of progress. Let's hear it from these wide dudes,
- 29:05Speaker 3: starting with actor Jeff Bridges.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I'm white, I'm a dude, and I'm for Harris.
- 29:11Speaker 14: Over the last few years, you know, I've been thinking
- 29:14Speaker 14: a lot about men.
- 29:16Speaker 4: I'm not sure if you guys can recall that feeling
- 29:19Speaker 4: you had on the night of Tuescay, November eight, twenty sixty.
- 29:24Speaker 4: I stood over my kid's bed and I wept.
- 29:27Speaker 3: He stood over his kids' beds and wept and ate cookies.
- 29:32Speaker 2: It looks like ladies.
- 29:33Speaker 3: If you think there is a crisis in masculinity, you'd
- 29:36Speaker 3: be right, because you won't detect any in this group.
- 29:39Speaker 10: In the marginalized communities that educate me every single day
- 29:43Speaker 10: that this is a constant education for all of us.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Kamala is carrying on her shoulders two hundred and forty
- 29:49Speaker 4: eight years of pain, of agony, of hope, of frustration,
- 29:53Speaker 4: And no matter how high she jumps, no matter how
- 29:55Speaker 4: many degrees she has, no matter how good her grades are,
- 30:00Speaker 4: she's never good enough because they're always moving the line.
- 30:03Speaker 4: What a variety of whiteness we have here with like
- 30:07Speaker 4: a rainbow of a beije man.
- 30:11Speaker 13: I am scared to death of what the future could
- 30:14Speaker 13: look like if we go back to another Trump administration.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Now to the woman herself, Kamala Harris, you know, the
- 30:21Speaker 3: Oakland born Californian who's Indian and Jamaican. Parents were both academics,
- 30:26Speaker 3: one a scientist, the other a professor.
- 30:28Speaker 2: This is how she normally speaks.
- 30:31Speaker 11: We are all in this together, and your vote is
- 30:35Speaker 11: your power. So please make sure your voice is heard
- 30:38Speaker 11: this November and register to vote at vote dot com.
- 30:42Speaker 3: That was Kamala on the set of a Drag Queen show.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Here is Kamala in Atlanta talking to a mainly black audience.
- 30:50Speaker 3: See if you can detect the subtle difference.
- 30:53Speaker 11: And you are not just win in twenty twenty and
- 30:56Speaker 11: we don't do it again in twenty twenty four.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, she's suddenly got some sort of a southern
- 31:04Speaker 3: urban droll happening, and she's not bad at it.
- 31:08Speaker 15: I said to the congressman, I didn't know he.
- 31:10Speaker 10: Could preach like that.
- 31:13Speaker 2: So authentic. There you would have spotted Terrence K. Williams,
- 31:17Speaker 2: comic Terrence K.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Williams that he is none to please with Kamala pandering
- 31:22Speaker 3: to the black vote.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Have a look at his reaction to her speech today.
- 31:26Speaker 11: Because, as the saying goes, if you've got something to say.
- 31:36Speaker 14: Girl, bah, you trying so hard to be black?
- 31:43Speaker 1: When did you start talking like this?
- 31:46Speaker 14: If you got fucked by say they say it, tell
- 31:48Speaker 14: my face, Kamala, Kamala, stop trying so hard to pan
- 31:57Speaker 14: dirt to black people and black people's faces, pretending you
- 32:04Speaker 14: are something.
- 32:04Speaker 6: That you're not.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Oh, there was certainly plenty of pandering happening at the
- 32:10Speaker 3: Atlanta rally.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Here's Meghan the Stallion telling women.
- 32:15Speaker 3: That if they want to keep loving the Kirby bodies,
- 32:17Speaker 3: then they best vote for Harris.
- 32:20Speaker 2: What and if you.
- 32:22Speaker 14: Want to keep loving your body, you know you?
- 32:29Speaker 15: Hey, buddy crazy, perfect place, Buddy crazy, perfect place.
- 32:41Speaker 3: We've got plenty more lefties losing it to cover with
- 32:44Speaker 3: my next guest, and Kamala Harris features again. She went
- 32:48Speaker 3: from denying she was ever the borderzaar to bragging that
- 32:51Speaker 3: she has a better track record on immigration than Donald Trump.
- 32:57Speaker 11: So in this campaign, I will proudly put my record
- 33:03Speaker 11: against his any day of the lead, any day of
- 33:10Speaker 11: the week, including for example, on the issue of immigration.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Incredible stuff.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Joining me now is commentation and documentary filmmaker Army Horowitz.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Army that message got cheers in Atlanta. Will it convinced
- 33:27Speaker 3: independent voters? Kamala imagine what can be unburdened by what
- 33:33Speaker 3: has been.
- 33:36Speaker 13: No, it's gas lighting of the first order, although I
- 33:39Speaker 13: guess because technically she doesn't want to use the word
- 33:42Speaker 13: what to ban the word illegal immigrants. So basically, I
- 33:45Speaker 13: make guess you can calculate that on her watch there
- 33:47Speaker 13: have been no illegal people across the country. I guess
- 33:49Speaker 13: by that math she might be able to win that argument. Look, Rita,
- 33:54Speaker 13: you and I actually debated this a while back. I
- 33:57Speaker 13: gotta be honest when it came to the border deal
- 34:00Speaker 13: that the President tried to push through and then blame
- 34:04Speaker 13: the Republicans of not taking. Yes, I know it was
- 34:06Speaker 13: three years too late obviously, but I think that what
- 34:10Speaker 13: the Republicans did themselves by not engaging or taking that
- 34:15Speaker 13: particular border deal was it allowed the Democrats to do
- 34:18Speaker 13: exactly what I said, then used that as as a cudgel,
- 34:23Speaker 13: as enough of a policy issue to muddle the issue
- 34:27Speaker 13: for independent voters when they say, look, we came the
- 34:30Speaker 13: border deal, you said no, right, Just from that perspective
- 34:34Speaker 13: a loan, it's creating a lot of problems for what
- 34:36Speaker 13: should be a very clear win for the Republicans and immigration.
- 34:41Speaker 13: I'll say this about Kamala Harris. So a man named
- 34:45Speaker 13: William von Spronson, who was an Antifa radical terrorist who
- 34:51Speaker 13: died in a fiery fight with federal agents, who was
- 34:55Speaker 13: attacking an ICE facility in Washington State as an Antifa
- 34:58Speaker 13: terrorist when he was killed. Bad as manifesto. Well, guess
- 35:02Speaker 13: what if you look at what her policy prescriptions are
- 35:05Speaker 13: for the border, it comes right after Wilhem von Spronson's manifesto.
- 35:10Speaker 13: She wants to ban ICE, stop deportations. These are all
- 35:13Speaker 13: the issues that the antifa radicals have been talking about.
- 35:18Speaker 13: That's what the Republicans have got to hit over and
- 35:21Speaker 13: over again that she is an absolute radical and she
- 35:25Speaker 13: carries the yoke of the failure of the administration, whether
- 35:29Speaker 13: you want.
- 35:29Speaker 1: To call the borders are and not the borders are.
- 35:31Speaker 13: End of the day, complete and total failure for the
- 35:35Speaker 13: democratic administration. Fifteen million people across the border, which is
- 35:39Speaker 13: in Australia's terms, more than half of your population coming
- 35:43Speaker 13: across the border illegally, let's make that clear, and illegal immigration.
- 35:47Speaker 13: While it has slipped slightly in national polls from two
- 35:51Speaker 13: to three in some polls two, some polls, three in
- 35:54Speaker 13: all the battleground states, it is still very solidly the
- 35:57Speaker 13: number two issue in the country, number one, of course
- 35:59Speaker 13: being the economy.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Now, another area where Kamala is a performing spectacular backflips
- 36:08Speaker 3: is energy policy. And fracking in particular. The Hill and
- 36:12Speaker 3: other media outlets are trying to tell us the Vice
- 36:15Speaker 3: President will not seek to ban fracking if she's elected
- 36:19Speaker 3: president in twenty twenty four, but she's on the record
- 36:23Speaker 3: saying she wants to ban fracking.
- 36:27Speaker 11: I am committed to passing a green New Deal, creating
- 36:30Speaker 11: clean jobs, and finally putting an end to fracking once
- 36:34Speaker 11: and for all. There's no question I'm in favor of
- 36:36Speaker 11: banning fracking. So yeah, and starting and starting with what
- 36:42Speaker 11: we can do on day one around public lands, right,
- 36:45Speaker 11: and then there has to be a legislation. But yes,
- 36:47Speaker 11: and this is something I've taken on in California.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I have a history of working on this issue.
- 36:51Speaker 3: How important is this issue, particularly in those crucial swing
- 36:55Speaker 3: states like Pennsylvania.
- 36:59Speaker 13: Let me think about it. This yeah, really really important. Yeah,
- 37:03Speaker 13: particularly Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is the second largest producer of energy
- 37:07Speaker 13: in the country. There are tremendous amount of jobs tied
- 37:11Speaker 13: to it. Additionally, what people really aren't talking about it's
- 37:14Speaker 13: very much a union state and there's been a lot
- 37:17Speaker 13: serious eroding of of union support among the the Democratic Party.
- 37:23Speaker 13: Of course, it was, of course one of the biggest
- 37:27Speaker 13: groups supporting the Democratic Party. You've seen erosion of that.
- 37:30Speaker 13: Trump has made a lot of headway in that also
- 37:34Speaker 13: soars JD.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Vans.
- 37:35Speaker 13: Frankly, it's an issue, of course around jobs. Look, you
- 37:39Speaker 13: have to remember that as California Attorney General, Kamala Harris
- 37:43Speaker 13: not only backed the batting of fracking, she actually sued
- 37:47Speaker 13: the Obama administration for have federal fracking off the coast
- 37:51Speaker 13: of California. And by the way, also she was a
- 37:54Speaker 13: co sponsor of the Green New Deal, right, the most
- 37:58Speaker 13: radical pol agenda, the greatest expansion of government that we've
- 38:03Speaker 13: seen in a hundred years in this country. She was
- 38:06Speaker 13: a backer, she was a co sponsor of it. So yeah,
- 38:09Speaker 13: that dog ain't gonna hunt. When she now is trying
- 38:12Speaker 13: to say, hey, I'm not wanning for president, so yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 13: I won't support the banning of fracking.
- 38:17Speaker 1: That's just not true.
- 38:18Speaker 13: It's not her history shows and she will in fact
- 38:21Speaker 13: do that if she becomes president.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Well, as you said, it's her history.
- 38:27Speaker 3: It's not just a position that she formed five minutes
- 38:29Speaker 3: ago that she can back out of easily. This is
- 38:32Speaker 3: in her DNA, this is what she actually believes in
- 38:36Speaker 3: positions she's implemented in the past, so I think it's
- 38:39Speaker 3: going to be a very hard sell. Indeed, now Harris
- 38:42Speaker 3: is also campaigning on her record of being a tough prosecutor.
- 38:46Speaker 3: They're trying to paint her as the law and order
- 38:48Speaker 3: figure against a convicted Fellon Trump. But she was actually
- 38:53Speaker 3: quite soft on crime when it mattered. In recent years,
- 38:56Speaker 3: she's back BLM, she's back bail funds forring thugs, she's
- 39:00Speaker 3: talked about defunding the police and reimagining public safety.
- 39:05Speaker 2: And she's a San Francisco Liberal.
- 39:08Speaker 3: How much ownership does she have on what is happening
- 39:12Speaker 3: in San Francisco and in California.
- 39:16Speaker 13: Yeah, I wouldn't say she has no responsibility. I mean,
- 39:18Speaker 13: she was not only the chief prosecutor of San Fisco,
- 39:23Speaker 13: which we've seen the city self destruct over the years,
- 39:27Speaker 13: certainly while she was the prosecutor there, and she was
- 39:30Speaker 13: the California Tary General, We've seen both Los Angeles, San Frasco,
- 39:33Speaker 13: San Diego implode with crime and homelessness. Yeah, she has
- 39:39Speaker 13: an involvement and responsibility in all of those things. I mean,
- 39:42Speaker 13: she never as California Try General. She never forced California's
- 39:45Speaker 13: immigration laws, which led to an overrun of the legal
- 39:48Speaker 13: immigrants in the state of California. She over and over
- 39:53Speaker 13: again decided not to use a death penalty, including the
- 39:56Speaker 13: cases of someone who was a cop killer, a number
- 40:00Speaker 13: one of the triple homicide. She was also there, you know,
- 40:05Speaker 13: when somebody's trying to get a sex change and a murderer.
- 40:08Speaker 13: She used taxpayer dollars to do that.
- 40:11Speaker 2: No.
- 40:11Speaker 13: You know what I don't like is a Republican say
- 40:14Speaker 13: she's an empty vessel. Right, they've been kind of there's
- 40:17Speaker 13: been attack, they've been going on saying that she does
- 40:19Speaker 13: whatever she can to to move ahead. I don't like
- 40:24Speaker 13: that that that particular perspective because it really absolves her responsibility.
- 40:27Speaker 13: She is, in fact a hard leftist. She has proven
- 40:30Speaker 13: that both indeed and in a word, I think you
- 40:33Speaker 13: you you kind of take some of the responsibility off
- 40:35Speaker 13: her when you call her that. So uh, No, I
- 40:38Speaker 13: think she takes a lot of responsibility for the problems
- 40:40Speaker 13: in California and if you want to repeat of what's
- 40:43Speaker 13: happening in San Frisco, yeah, elector as president.
- 40:49Speaker 3: That's a very good point because I think that accusation
- 40:53Speaker 3: is also pretty empty because they have Politicians will all
- 40:56Speaker 3: cize things to get her elected. And I think that's
- 40:58Speaker 3: really a damning allegation. If you hold her record against
- 41:03Speaker 3: her voting record in the Senate, for example, that's pretty
- 41:07Speaker 3: pretty poor in itself. Before you go, army, we've had
- 41:10Speaker 3: reports today that Israel has killed a top her.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Mass leader in Iran.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Is Malhania was targeted and killed in Iran, according to
- 41:19Speaker 3: a statement by the country's revolutionary god.
- 41:23Speaker 2: And this comes army.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Just hours after Israel killed a Hazbal military leader.
- 41:29Speaker 2: It's most senior military leader.
- 41:33Speaker 13: Yeah, and all I can say is thank God and
- 41:36Speaker 13: God bless Israel for doing that. Isabel Hania was essentially
- 41:41Speaker 13: the president or flash prime minister of the terrorist state
- 41:45Speaker 13: of Gaza. Ironically wasn't living in Gaza. He was living
- 41:49Speaker 13: in luxury in Qatar, as his people didn't have as
- 41:53Speaker 13: they claim, these people don't have food. In fact, do
- 41:56Speaker 13: have quite a bit of food that shipped from Israel.
- 41:58Speaker 13: By the way, the only time I think in recording
- 42:01Speaker 13: history that when you're at war somebody else, you're providing
- 42:04Speaker 13: them with food and energy. But yeah, while they are
- 42:08Speaker 13: are feeling the brunt of what he did on October seventh,
- 42:13Speaker 13: he was living in luxury as a little rat in Qatar,
- 42:17Speaker 13: and I think that ultimately we find out how he
- 42:20Speaker 13: was murdered, I think will be one of the great
- 42:21Speaker 13: stories and another legendary story to add to most sades
- 42:25Speaker 13: storied history.
- 42:26Speaker 1: So I'm very interested.
- 42:28Speaker 2: That's gonna make it about killing.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Him and will make an amazing documentary. Maybe you'll put
- 42:34Speaker 3: it together. Ami Horowitz, Thank you so much for your time.
- 42:36Speaker 2: This evening always a pleasure still to come. Isaac Butterfield
- 42:41Speaker 2: joins me, after.
- 42:42Speaker 3: His big win against the Australian Human Rights Commission.
- 42:54Speaker 2: You're watching the Raid of Pane. He's shown now.
- 42:56Speaker 3: My next guest took on the Australian Human Rights Commission one.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Eighteen months ago. Comedian Isaac Butterfield was taken to the
- 43:04Speaker 3: Human Rights Commission over a joke he made on stage.
- 43:08Speaker 3: The case has now been dropped in what he's calling
- 43:12Speaker 3: a huge win for Australian comedy. Isaac joins me, Now,
- 43:17Speaker 3: glad this ordeal is over for you. Isaac, But eighteen
- 43:21Speaker 3: months of this legal issue hanging over your head must
- 43:25Speaker 3: have been enormously stressful. And when it comes to the
- 43:28Speaker 3: Human Rights Commission, it seems often the process is the punishment.
- 43:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it was it was quite stressful and not knowing
- 43:36Speaker 6: what will come of this interaction with the government body
- 43:41Speaker 6: of which I know very little about. The Queensland Human
- 43:44Speaker 6: Rights Commission sent a letter to my house. It came
- 43:47Speaker 6: to my doorstep, you know, very professional. It was all
- 43:50Speaker 6: this legal stuff. I was like, oh my goodness, here
- 43:53Speaker 6: I am thinking on a comedian telling jokes when in reality,
- 43:56Speaker 6: apparently I'm destroying people's lives. That's a lot for me
- 44:01Speaker 6: to take on board, considering that I just do this
- 44:04Speaker 6: to make people happy. But you know, it is what
- 44:07Speaker 6: it is. Apparently that is the world we live in
- 44:10Speaker 6: right now. And as a comedian, I'm very happy for
- 44:12Speaker 6: this outcome because it does it leaves, It leaves somewhere
- 44:16Speaker 6: for us comedians who like to tread on the boundaries
- 44:20Speaker 6: of acceptable, somewhere to go.
- 44:24Speaker 3: Well, you have got a huge following, more than two
- 44:28Speaker 3: million followers on YouTube aloone. You've got big following on Facebook, Instagram,
- 44:34Speaker 3: just about every social media side. Did you ever consider
- 44:38Speaker 3: changing your approach, changing your content to avoid offending those.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Who are well, some of them are desperate to be offended.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:48Speaker 6: Well, I've been doing stand up for ten years and
- 44:51Speaker 6: I've tried to write clean material.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I can't do it. I'm not clever enough, I don't
- 44:56Speaker 1: want to do it.
- 44:57Speaker 6: I have no interest in it. And it's the I'm
- 45:00Speaker 6: saying with content online, I don't have a TikTok presence
- 45:04Speaker 6: because I've had about eight accounts taken down for commentary
- 45:07Speaker 6: that I've made on certain political issues or issues.
- 45:10Speaker 1: That are happening in the world.
- 45:11Speaker 6: So there is a lot of people out there that
- 45:13Speaker 6: are easily offended, and I just don't think that a
- 45:17Speaker 6: comedy show or somewhere where you're going to pay someone
- 45:21Speaker 6: good money to tell you jokes, I don't think that
- 45:25Speaker 6: is the place that you should be. If you are
- 45:26Speaker 6: easily offended, just don't go.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Don't listen to it. If you don't like heavy metal music,
- 45:31Speaker 1: don't listen to it. It's the same can be said
- 45:34Speaker 1: for this.
- 45:36Speaker 2: And there are plenty of PC comics.
- 45:39Speaker 3: If you want to go along to a comedy show
- 45:41Speaker 3: where the content is more to.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Your liking, there's no shortage.
- 45:45Speaker 3: But we are also seeing a research resurgence of bold,
- 45:50Speaker 3: brave comedy. The very best comics in the world right
- 45:53Speaker 3: now are unapologetically anti woke. You've got Ricky Gervais stage
- 45:59Speaker 3: ship hell, the new breed coming through like so theo Whine.
- 46:04Speaker 3: I know he's been around for a long time. Andrew Schultz.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Is cancel culture dead or is it on life support now?
- 46:12Speaker 3: Because a few years ago, just about all these guys
- 46:15Speaker 3: would be buried with some of the content they have.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I think there is cancel culture.
- 46:22Speaker 6: It is a cultural thing for these people who see
- 46:25Speaker 6: themselves as progressive or easily offended.
- 46:28Speaker 1: It doesn't necessarily work, though.
- 46:30Speaker 6: When I get canceled, I get excited because it means
- 46:33Speaker 6: I sell more tickets, because more people want to come
- 46:36Speaker 6: and see me speak, and not because they're bad people.
- 46:39Speaker 6: They just enjoy comedy, and they're there because they know
- 46:42Speaker 6: that what I'm saying out of my mouth it isn't real.
- 46:45Speaker 1: It isn't reality.
- 46:46Speaker 6: I'm only there for one reason, and that is to
- 46:48Speaker 6: say something to make you laugh, and that is it.
- 46:50Speaker 1: To forget about your life for an hour, an hour
- 46:52Speaker 1: and a half. That's it.
- 46:54Speaker 6: I'm not there to impress anyone. I'm not there to
- 46:57Speaker 6: change anyone's political opinion. I'm there to make you laugh.
- 47:00Speaker 1: That's it. Nothing else. Now.
- 47:04Speaker 3: One of your videos that did make me laugh, But really,
- 47:07Speaker 3: I don't think see this as even Riskay, this just
- 47:10Speaker 3: seems to be you giving good logical advice.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Let's have a look. No, it sounds crazy, but trans
- 47:17Speaker 2: women can produce.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Milk, not a baby. Here's step one.
- 47:22Speaker 2: You must grow your coconuts.
- 47:24Speaker 13: After about three to five years of estrogen, you will
- 47:27Speaker 13: have fully functional milk ducks from which you can feed
- 47:31Speaker 13: a baby.
- 47:31Speaker 6: Maybe you can also go to a grocery store and
- 47:36Speaker 6: pick up a bottle of milk. So once your coconuts
- 47:39Speaker 6: are grown, it is time to start producing milk. If
- 47:42Speaker 6: you are a biological man and you produce milk, do
- 47:44Speaker 6: not feed it to a child.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Yes, I endorse that message, but that transactivist is one
- 47:51Speaker 3: of my favorites.
- 47:51Speaker 2: I've got to say.
- 47:52Speaker 3: He features regularly on Lefties Losing It. You've got a
- 47:56Speaker 3: lot of content to work with out there at the moment,
- 47:58Speaker 3: don't you, Because the people share this stuff themselves on
- 48:02Speaker 3: social media and it's rich pickings.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and there is.
- 48:08Speaker 6: There is a lot of interesting things to focus on,
- 48:11Speaker 6: and we can focus on the more horrific things if
- 48:13Speaker 6: we want to. We can talk about wars and stuff.
- 48:15Speaker 6: But sometimes it's just easy to look at these people
- 48:17Speaker 6: and go thankfully that isn't me, thankfully, that's not my life,
- 48:22Speaker 6: you know, talking about a trans person producing milk to
- 48:26Speaker 6: feed to a child. I don't know what people out
- 48:29Speaker 6: there think about that, but anything to do with father's
- 48:31Speaker 6: milk is not something that should be fed to a child.
- 48:34Speaker 1: That's just my honest opinion.
- 48:37Speaker 3: We don't have the e Safety Commissioner hear that, because
- 48:41Speaker 3: she said today a.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Tweet that said pretty much that.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Isaac Butterfield, congratulations and thank you so much for your
- 48:48Speaker 3: time this evening, and that's it from me. Up next
- 48:52Speaker 3: is Newsnight. I'll see you tomorrow at eleven.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Good night
- 49:00Speaker 11: Eight
