- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know, and here we go
- 0:03Speaker 1: starting this brand new week together. Thank you for being here.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Happy Monday. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
- 0:08Speaker 2: The new movie Sinners has one of the smallest revenue
- 0:11Speaker 2: drops in history this past weekend. That's huge, okaiso. It
- 0:15Speaker 2: earned forty eight million dollars in its debut. This weekend's
- 0:18Speaker 2: take was only six percent less with forty five million.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Huge deal in general for anybody, especially right now with movies,
- 0:25Speaker 2: because we've seen this like up and down kind of
- 0:28Speaker 2: phase of people enjoying going to the theater and then
- 0:30Speaker 2: not going to the theater ever since the pandemic. Outside
- 0:33Speaker 2: of that, it's an even bigger deal for someone like
- 0:36Speaker 2: the director Ryan Coogler because he negotiated a great deal
- 0:40Speaker 2: where he's getting a fraction from every single ticket sale.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it's basically unheard of. It hardly ever
- 0:47Speaker 2: happens this way. He could end up with a lot
- 0:49Speaker 2: of money after this. Just to give you an example,
- 0:51Speaker 2: Leonardo DiCaprio did this. He did first dollar deal on
- 0:55Speaker 2: Inception and made him fifty million dollars beyond his salary. Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 2: so could be really really big for Ryan Coogler and
- 1:02Speaker 2: good for him because everybody's talking about Sinners. I still
- 1:05Speaker 2: need to go see it. I am dying to see it.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm going tonight. I've got my tickets.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm so jealous. I'm not even gonna
- 1:12Speaker 2: get into the fact that you didn't invite me, but
- 1:13Speaker 2: that's fine. Flix has added a new dialogue only subtitles mode.
- 1:18Speaker 2: This is huge for anybody like me or any millennial,
- 1:22Speaker 2: because sometimes you're very overstimulated and sometimes you need those subtitles.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Instead of seeing sound effects and background noises described to you,
- 1:30Speaker 2: it's just going to be the spoken words. It's rolling
- 1:33Speaker 2: out first with different titles like you the season finale,
- 1:38Speaker 2: this is the last season. I finished it last night.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I'm still kind of coping with that. And the Tom
- 1:42Speaker 2: Hardy move movie Havoc are going to be the first
- 1:45Speaker 2: ones to see this, but eventually Netflix is going to
- 1:47Speaker 2: do this for every original that they make, and they're
- 1:50Speaker 2: going to do it in every language, which is massive
- 1:53Speaker 2: as well. According to a survey, more than fifty percent
- 1:56Speaker 2: of US viewers watch content with the subtitles on fun fact,
- 2:00Speaker 2: so this is a big deal. And National Zoo is
- 2:02Speaker 2: hosting a Writers for Rhinos event this Wednesday, super cute,
- 2:06Speaker 2: family friendly songwriters around. It's all to help save money
- 2:10Speaker 2: for the rhino conservation that they are doing, so it's
- 2:14Speaker 2: for a good cause. You'll have special animal encounters as well,
- 2:18Speaker 2: food and drinks for purchase. Tickets are only twenty five dollars.
- 2:21Speaker 2: You can buy them on national Zoozu website. Like I said,
- 2:24Speaker 2: all for a great cause, writers for rhinos. It's this Wednesday.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
- 2:30Speaker 2: need to know.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Thank you very much, Ricky. And by the way, your
- 2:32Speaker 1: hair looks great.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Save new hair you do. It's Brandy my hair, but
- 2:37Speaker 2: it's it's different colors.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I've seen many hairstyles on you before, I've never seen
- 2:40Speaker 1: this one.
- 2:41Speaker 2: I know it's probably the most normal one.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Thank you for being here starting this Monday with us.
- 2:46Speaker 1: We do have sounds tickets on the way. We've got
- 2:48Speaker 1: them all week for the first caller of the day.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Get your sounds tickets in about ten minutes right here
- 2:52Speaker 1: on the river, Ricky second man in the morning and
- 2:55Speaker 1: then in mcmionville.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Welcome to one O seven five of the River. I
- 2:58Speaker 2: always feel like whenever I say make Menville that I'm
- 3:01Speaker 2: not saying it correctly. My mouth wants to like mumble it.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 1: McMinnville. Are we saying it right, Jonathan?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, great, and it always just sounds weird out of
- 3:11Speaker 2: my mouth. How's your morning going so far?
- 3:13Speaker 4: Oh, it's going great.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Good. How is your weekend? What'd you do?
- 3:16Speaker 5: I watched the girl play ball and went to watch
- 3:19Speaker 5: Star Wars with the band.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Oh, Revenge of the Sith was back in theaters, right, Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I know nothing about Star Wars. Admittedly it's a blind
- 3:27Speaker 1: spot for me. I've never even seen a single Star
- 3:29Speaker 1: Wars movie.
- 3:29Speaker 6: Wow, I know.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But I know that Revenge of the Sith was back
- 3:32Speaker 1: in theaters and it did really well for a re release.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Really, I'm shocked that you've never seen any Star Wars
- 3:39Speaker 2: movie ever. I am not. He loves movies though, Like
- 3:42Speaker 2: Kevin's really into movies, and I'm shocked, but he.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Hasn't seen it, seen it but he fell asleep.
- 3:47Speaker 1: No, I've never seen any of them. It's like one
- 3:48Speaker 1: of those things because there's so much Star Wars content now,
- 3:51Speaker 1: there's a thousand movies and TV shows, Like I don't
- 3:53Speaker 1: even know where to begin, but I do have a
- 3:55Speaker 1: plan of watching them with my kids when they're a
- 3:57Speaker 1: little bit older.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so you'll watch them in ten to twenty years.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Sounds good. Five Jonathan, you are our first color of
- 4:06Speaker 2: the day this morning. Congratulations you're eating tickets to see
- 4:09Speaker 2: the National Sounds on May eleventh. A.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we love the Sound Sounds. Games are always a
- 4:13Speaker 1: ton of fun. Thank you for starting your day with us.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 4:16Speaker 6: Yeah, good day, you too, Hay, I'm the lye are
- 4:18Speaker 6: you guys?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Star Wars like fans are caught up on the Star
- 4:21Speaker 1: Wars universe.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I've watched a bunch of Star Wars. I have a
- 4:23Speaker 2: cousin who's very into them, but I watched them all
- 4:26Speaker 2: when I was younger. Not gonna lie to you. Haven't
- 4:28Speaker 2: watched it since.
- 4:30Speaker 6: I've never seen a movie.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That's not surprising.
- 4:33Speaker 6: That's a thing.
- 4:34Speaker 1: He doesn't mean Star Wars.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Movies ever, that I've never seen a single movie.
- 4:40Speaker 1: More sounds tickets sometime tomorrow, So it just sounds I
- 4:45Speaker 1: haven't Ricky second Morning one O seven to five the
- 4:48Speaker 1: river Ricky over here has a hot take, and I think, honestly,
- 4:52Speaker 1: truly a lot of a lot of ladies are gonna
- 4:54Speaker 1: relate to this.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and I just want to say, prior to this,
- 4:57Speaker 2: Kevin thought my hot take was about something entirely different
- 5:00Speaker 2: than what it actually is about. But not too far up.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Kevin said, hot take about your underwear, now my underwear, bathing.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Suit, bathing suits.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I got a lot to say about women's bathing suits.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Right after Gig Perez, we'll get that from Mickey her
- 5:13Speaker 1: hot takes, see if you agree, Seef.
- 5:14Speaker 7: You disagree on the River Haiky Zach Morning.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Right before that song, Ricky mentioned a hot take, a
- 5:23Speaker 1: swimwear related hot take. It's one of seven five the river,
- 5:26Speaker 1: see if you agree.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I think it's gonna end up being less of a
- 5:28Speaker 2: hot take and more of a rant because I thought
- 5:31Speaker 2: this was a hot take until I had posted about
- 5:33Speaker 2: it on social media and realized, oh my god, everybody
- 5:36Speaker 2: else feels the same way. Women's swimwear is absolutely out
- 5:40Speaker 2: of control.
- 5:41Speaker 6: Okay, what do you mean?
- 5:42Speaker 2: Number one, the pricing is ridiculous, But number two, I
- 5:46Speaker 2: cannot find a singular, singular bikini that fits my body
- 5:51Speaker 2: right now. It either does not fit my butt whatsoever.
- 5:56Speaker 2: We're talking cheeks out, ladies and gents, and it doesn't
- 6:00Speaker 2: even fit the top either of the bottoms or the
- 6:02Speaker 2: real problem though, And I thought that, like I was
- 6:04Speaker 2: just gonna have a hot take here and be like, wow,
- 6:06Speaker 2: I don't understand what's happening with bathing suit bottoms for women,
- 6:10Speaker 2: Like what is going on? This is ridiculous. Turns out
- 6:13Speaker 2: almost everybody agrees with me that they have made them
- 6:16Speaker 2: way too small.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's a big trend right now. Like the thong. Look,
- 6:19Speaker 1: we'll say, right.
- 6:20Speaker 2: They don't even call it that. It's called cheekiest is
- 6:24Speaker 2: what they're calling it. So it's not but it's not
- 6:27Speaker 2: exactly a thong, Like that's not exactly what it is.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It's kind of like it bunches up and like it's
- 6:32Speaker 2: all part of you. So it's worse than the honestly,
- 6:38Speaker 2: but it's just getting out of control. I can't It's true.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I can't find a singular bikini bottom that fits me,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and it's driving me absolutely nuts. I bought extra largest,
- 6:48Speaker 2: even extra large does not.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Not even can't, yep, not even close.
- 6:56Speaker 2: To covering my butt.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I know that. For spring break, we went to the
- 6:59Speaker 1: beach and my six year old un kept pointing out
- 7:00Speaker 1: all the buttsy saw because that's such a trend right now,
- 7:03Speaker 1: is you know, just the whole butt out.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And here's the thing. Love that for you, super happy
- 7:07Speaker 2: that you're good with that. There are days that I
- 7:09Speaker 2: am confident enough for that, and then there's days where
- 7:11Speaker 2: I don't want a singular person to look at me,
- 7:14Speaker 2: or we're like maybe I'm going to Kevin's house. If
- 7:16Speaker 2: I'm going to Kevin's house, I'm not gonna wear a
- 7:17Speaker 2: bathing suit like that. That's ridiculous, like to play with
- 7:20Speaker 2: your kids. I just wouldn't do that. So, like there
- 7:23Speaker 2: are times and places for certain things. I want options.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I need options. There's not a singular other option except
- 7:29Speaker 2: for these cheekiest bottoms.
- 7:31Speaker 1: What about like swim pants? Is that a thing?
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'm sorry, swim pants? Whys ever got in your pants?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Wet in the like?
- 7:39Speaker 1: What man?
- 7:43Speaker 2: Terrible feeling? And this is the thing. I guess I
- 7:45Speaker 2: could wear bored shorts that there's nothing else out there,
- 7:48Speaker 2: But I would just like to wear a bikinian feel
- 7:50Speaker 2: comfortable in it. That's all I want. It's already very
- 7:53Speaker 2: uncomfortable to put a bikini on to begin with. I
- 7:55Speaker 2: just want something that I feel good in and something
- 7:57Speaker 2: that actually fits me. These are made for like.
- 8:00Speaker 6: An idea I have an idea. I have an idea.
- 8:03Speaker 5: I think that Kevin and I should sew a pair
- 8:05Speaker 5: of like bottoms for you.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Those will make apart, will make it. They will make
- 8:10Speaker 2: a part.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I took home back in high school.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It's fine, Zachary, what fine? Sew me a pair of
- 8:19Speaker 2: Leave me out of this.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. I didn't take home meck in
- 8:22Speaker 1: high school.
- 8:23Speaker 2: There's no way it would fall apart. No, I just
- 8:25Speaker 2: need these corporations to get it together and stop giving
- 8:27Speaker 2: us just one option. That's it. That's the end of
- 8:30Speaker 2: my run.
- 8:30Speaker 1: If anybody has a suggestion, If any lady's out there
- 8:33Speaker 1: have found a suit that might be you know, uh
- 8:36Speaker 1: what Ricky's looking for, feel free to reach out. Because
- 8:38Speaker 1: she struggling over the covering of boot. Yeah, she's struggling.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I just don't understand the issue.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Well, that's so hard. Zach's gonna get to work. I'm
- 8:45Speaker 1: making it. Get to sew in three things past seven
- 8:49Speaker 1: o'clock on this Monday morning. Thank you for starting your
- 8:51Speaker 1: week with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Jelly Roll and Alex Warren performed a new song at
- 8:57Speaker 2: Stage Coach over the weekend. Jelly Roll played What he
- 9:00Speaker 2: said was quote officially, the biggest show that he's ever headlined.
- 9:04Speaker 2: He had people like MGK come out, Shaboozi, Big X,
- 9:08Speaker 2: The Plug, Jeffrey Jesse, Murph, Wis Khalifa, Lana del Ray,
- 9:12Speaker 2: Brandon Lake, and Alex Warren.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Really crazy Old dor.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Get is set, absolutely insane. Jelly and Alex have a
- 9:18Speaker 2: new song coming out called Bloodline that they performed together,
- 9:21Speaker 2: and they started to tease it on socials. Here's a
- 9:24Speaker 2: piece of what that sounds like.
- 9:25Speaker 1: My brother, you don't have to follow. What else do
- 9:45Speaker 1: the two of them have in common?
- 9:46Speaker 6: Ricky?
- 9:47Speaker 1: They both performed.
- 9:48Speaker 2: At River on the rooftop. It is kind of crazy
- 9:52Speaker 2: to watch these different people go off to do these
- 9:55Speaker 2: wild things. Like Alex Warren, I love it every time.
- 9:57Speaker 2: It makes me so happy. But that new song don't
- 10:00Speaker 2: I know where it's gonna come out, but hopefully it's
- 10:02Speaker 2: really soon. I will keep you updated. Nashville makes lots
- 10:05Speaker 2: of really great lists, lots and lots of lots of
- 10:08Speaker 2: really amazing ones. This one not so great. We're on
- 10:12Speaker 2: the list of dirtiest US cities. They put this together
- 10:15Speaker 2: based on complaints received per one hundred thousand population. We're
- 10:20Speaker 2: our twelfth on the list. Not good. Nashville, not good.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Few of the cities above us were Baltimore, Maryland at
- 10:27Speaker 2: number one, Los Angeles at number four, Memphis at five.
- 10:31Speaker 2: It's just not a good look. We got to work
- 10:33Speaker 2: on that. And the latest TikTok trend for gen Z
- 10:38Speaker 2: is rejection cakes. I'm obsessed with this idea. Okay, so
- 10:42Speaker 2: instead of being really upset over not getting into certain colleges,
- 10:46Speaker 2: they're baking cakes and decorating it with flags from schools
- 10:49Speaker 2: that turn them down. So they're kind of embracing it
- 10:51Speaker 2: and laughing at it as opposed to being sad about it.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I remember applying to a bunch of colleges. I remember,
- 10:56Speaker 2: you know, waiting to see if you've got an acceptance letter,
- 10:59Speaker 2: and like which ones you're gonna get into, and how
- 11:01Speaker 2: exciting and also depressing that whole phase can be. And this,
- 11:05Speaker 2: I just think is a really great way to kind
- 11:07Speaker 2: of overcome anything that might be sad in that moment. Okay,
- 11:10Speaker 2: sucks when you get rejected.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so eat your feelings.
- 11:13Speaker 2: I'll eat your feelings. It's the little flags that they
- 11:16Speaker 2: put in the cake. It's kind of like, have you
- 11:19Speaker 2: seen those cakes? With all of the crushes. Oh yeah, stick,
- 11:23Speaker 2: it's like that same idea, but it's rejection cakes instead.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
- 11:28Speaker 2: need to know.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Thank you, Ricky. Here's Chapel Roan right after Pink Pony Club.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It's time to learn. Zach Spax he's standing by. He's
- 11:36Speaker 1: got one for us.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Next down the river one O seven five the river, Haiky,
- 11:39Speaker 7: the Zach and the.
- 11:41Speaker 2: New wee, And Zach has a new fact. It's Zack
- 11:44Speaker 2: Spax on one of seven five of the river.
- 11:45Speaker 5: This is so cute and you're never gonna want to
- 11:47Speaker 5: eat bacon ever again.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Oh that for me.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Did you guys know that pigs have best friends and
- 11:52Speaker 5: they like to have sleepovers with them?
- 11:54Speaker 6: Oh that's kidding. Cuddle, it's so sweet.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 11:58Speaker 6: Yeah, and they oink at each.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Is it true the pictures smarter than dogs? Or am
- 12:03Speaker 1: I making that up?
- 12:04Speaker 8: No?
- 12:04Speaker 6: That's true. Really, they're they're so smart.
- 12:06Speaker 2: So when did Zach become the big expert?
- 12:10Speaker 4: Hi?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Hi'm Zach?
- 12:11Speaker 6: What word the big expert?
- 12:12Speaker 7: Do you?
- 12:13Speaker 1: One more time?
- 12:16Speaker 2: It's a pretty good.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Today, one seven, Ricky, Zach, we saw a story in here.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's one O seven to five the river and employee
- 12:28Speaker 1: went through seven. Our potential employee went through seven rounds
- 12:32Speaker 1: of job interviews and two assessments and didn't get the job.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So this person invoiced the company.
- 12:38Speaker 2: I yeah, I get that for their time. Seven rounds
- 12:42Speaker 2: of job interviews. That's insane.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Do you think that's justified? That's the question we're asking
- 12:47Speaker 1: right now. Six one, five, seven, three seven, nine one
- 12:49Speaker 1: o seven.
- 12:49Speaker 2: If it isn't justified, at what point can it be
- 12:52Speaker 2: justified to ask them to pay?
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah? How much of your time?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Insane?
- 12:56Speaker 1: How much are your time to take up before you
- 12:58Speaker 1: can ask for a paycheck? Really? At that point, yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: you're pretty much working for him, are any six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine,
- 13:05Speaker 1: one oh seven? Let us know what you think? Is
- 13:07Speaker 1: Lola Young on the.
- 13:08Speaker 7: River one oh seven five ky Zach and Meno in
- 13:12Speaker 7: the morning.
- 13:12Speaker 2: There's an employee that's kind of got a little bit
- 13:15Speaker 2: viral right now talking about their experience at a company
- 13:18Speaker 2: while they were interviewing for the job. Seven rounds of
- 13:21Speaker 2: job interviews, two assessments, no job at the end. So
- 13:25Speaker 2: they actually didn't end up an employee, but they did
- 13:29Speaker 2: invoice the company for their time. Spent Sandra and Nashville.
- 13:32Speaker 2: What do you think about that? Do you think that's justified?
- 13:34Speaker 7: No?
- 13:35Speaker 4: I think that he should have not interviewed seven times.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I think after all those assessments, he should have just
- 13:43Speaker 4: asked them, be honest, one of my chancers are getting hired.
- 13:46Speaker 8: Am I actually being considered?
- 13:48Speaker 2: Okay?
- 13:49Speaker 4: Maybe instead of interviewing over and over and over again.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Maybe it was with different people, you know, different executives
- 13:55Speaker 1: or whoever. And if they're bringing you back, they're clearly interested.
- 13:58Speaker 9: Wow.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Not after all the interviews. Okay, And as far as
- 14:02Speaker 4: the concerns, he's not gonna win because it's not the
- 14:06Speaker 4: responsibility because he just kept going back.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Okay, But like, how many interviews would you go through
- 14:11Speaker 5: for free?
- 14:12Speaker 6: Like before you said, hey, am I getting the job
- 14:14Speaker 6: or not? How many would you go through?
- 14:16Speaker 7: Oh?
- 14:17Speaker 2: Too? I think it's kind of fair, Honestly. I think
- 14:19Speaker 2: it's fair to be up.
- 14:20Speaker 4: The fast for the second time you say, hey, listen,
- 14:22Speaker 4: I'm looking for other work, and you know, I want
- 14:25Speaker 4: to be able to stop searching if there's a chance
- 14:28Speaker 4: I'll get hired here.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I think it's fair to be upfront. I think that
- 14:31Speaker 2: makes sense, But it's kind of scary to be upfront
- 14:33Speaker 2: like that about a job, especially if it's someone like
- 14:35Speaker 2: a job that you really need, job that you really want,
- 14:38Speaker 2: you might just kind of go through it just in
- 14:40Speaker 2: hopes of getting it at the end.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Seven So I say, with all the respect, what are
- 14:46Speaker 4: my chances?
- 14:47Speaker 3: Really?
- 14:48Speaker 2: I know, I get it, but there's a lot of
- 14:50Speaker 2: employers that don't like people that are upfront like that,
- 14:53Speaker 2: and the chances so pushy.
- 14:55Speaker 4: You know, but if he's not going to get hired anyway,
- 14:58Speaker 4: then what did you got to move?
- 15:00Speaker 2: Well, okay, but he didn't know he wasn't going to
- 15:02Speaker 2: get hired.
- 15:02Speaker 5: I think that they're going to be honest with you
- 15:04Speaker 5: when you say what about chances that they're clearly going
- 15:07Speaker 5: to say, oh, your odds are really good, and then
- 15:09Speaker 5: they're going to keep going through the interview process you want.
- 15:12Speaker 4: I want to a job interview once years ago, when
- 15:15Speaker 4: I was there for hours and then twary ends, the
- 15:17Speaker 4: lady said, well, we're not going to hire you, but
- 15:20Speaker 4: we wanted you to have this experience.
- 15:25Speaker 2: That send me into a spiral. Absolutely not.
- 15:31Speaker 4: I don't think I didn't have thoughts.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Because I did understandable sanch thanks for calling.
- 15:37Speaker 1: We appreciate you.
- 15:38Speaker 4: I love you, guys, we love you too.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Have a great day, Ricky, you think this is completely
- 15:42Speaker 1: justified to invoice the seven rounds.
- 15:45Speaker 2: You know how many days that is that you had
- 15:46Speaker 2: to take off of if you had another job, you
- 15:48Speaker 2: had to take off work. You have to coordinate things
- 15:50Speaker 2: to make it make sense that you can get there.
- 15:52Speaker 1: What if it's like an actor going for callbacks for
- 15:56Speaker 1: a role. Do you think they should get paid for
- 15:58Speaker 1: all these callbacks?
- 15:59Speaker 6: Yes?
- 16:00Speaker 2: The othertion if it's seven, Yeah, like you've gotten into
- 16:03Speaker 2: danger territory at that point, and like we were joking
- 16:06Speaker 2: about before, I essentially work for you at that point.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I've been here seven times. I know Betsy at the front.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Her and I are girls already at this point, Like
- 16:15Speaker 2: I know her coffee order. It's getting out of control.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Well that and you're like getting ready, so you're spending
- 16:20Speaker 5: time and money on your hair and makeup all of
- 16:23Speaker 5: the products that you have to use.
- 16:25Speaker 2: And never mind the stress too.
- 16:27Speaker 6: I need to be paid, Okay, the stress.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Of interviewing is enough to be like, you should be
- 16:32Speaker 2: paid you to interview if.
- 16:33Speaker 1: You have a different take on the six one, five, seven, three, seven,
- 16:36Speaker 1: nine one O seven, one seven five The River, Ricky, Zach.
- 16:40Speaker 7: And Meno in the Morning.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I want to know if you think this is justified.
- 16:43Speaker 2: A person has invoiced a company for seven rounds of
- 16:47Speaker 2: job interviews, two assessments, and they never ended up getting
- 16:51Speaker 2: the job. It's one O seven five the River. Kevin
- 16:53Speaker 2: and Nashville. What do you think about That really depends
- 16:56Speaker 2: on the role.
- 16:57Speaker 8: I mean, if you're interviewing through a c I or
- 17:00Speaker 8: some really high position, seven interviews, isn't that bad. If
- 17:04Speaker 8: you're interviewing for a line position, yeah, that's ridiculous.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Okay, So it just depends on the position for you.
- 17:12Speaker 2: It's all just dependent upon that.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Exactly, Okay.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I think even to be a CEO or anything like that,
- 17:17Speaker 2: that's a lot of job reviews. I hate job interviews, though, Kevin.
- 17:21Speaker 2: They bother me, Like I get so anxious before them.
- 17:24Speaker 2: The idea of having to wake up seven different times
- 17:28Speaker 2: and just have that anxiety of trying to impress someone
- 17:31Speaker 2: so that they hire me. Oh, that would send me
- 17:34Speaker 2: over a quill.
- 17:34Speaker 8: If you're running for one of those positions, you're used
- 17:37Speaker 8: to that, okay, in the pup line and having to deal.
- 17:42Speaker 1: With that, Kevin, what do you think is Zach's take
- 17:44Speaker 1: that he wants to invoice the company for the hairspray
- 17:47Speaker 1: he used the morning of the interview and makeup.
- 17:50Speaker 8: It's a lot the hair and makeup for a woman.
- 17:54Speaker 8: I could understand it a little bit, but but you
- 17:56Speaker 8: know that isn't really a thing for a guy.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Usually I wear more hair and makeup than Ricky does.
- 18:04Speaker 8: I believe it, So I feel like they.
- 18:08Speaker 6: Should pay me for it.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Thanks for calling, buddy. It's always good to have another
- 18:12Speaker 1: Kevin around here.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Take here, Buddy, Bye.
- 18:15Speaker 7: One O seven, Heiky, Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Mano's Game of the Day, presented by Genesis Diamonds, is
- 18:22Speaker 2: a brand new one this week because it's a new week.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I don't know what it's titled.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Well, we're playing for Maren Morris tickets, okay, and her
- 18:29Speaker 1: initials are M M correct, so we're gonna go that route,
- 18:32Speaker 1: ask trivia questions about people with like the same first
- 18:34Speaker 1: and last initial and the game this week is called
- 18:38Speaker 1: double Trouble.
- 18:40Speaker 2: That's why you didn't want to tell me what it
- 18:41Speaker 2: was prior.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Ye I needed my thunder sound effect.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Wow six one five seven through seven nine one oh
- 18:47Speaker 2: seven if you want to play this Double Trouble you
- 18:52Speaker 2: nail joke for Maren Morris tickets. You can see her
- 18:55Speaker 2: at the Pinnacle September twenty fifth.
- 18:57Speaker 7: Good luck, Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning one
- 19:00Speaker 7: seven five The Double Trouble.
- 19:03Speaker 2: That's the name of Kevin Vanno's game of the day
- 19:05Speaker 2: today on one of seven five the River at all
- 19:07Speaker 2: week long. For these Maren Morris tickets. She's playing the
- 19:10Speaker 2: Pinnacle September twenty fifth. I'm super pumped for it. Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 2: April and Hendersonville, are you pumped?
- 19:16Speaker 7: I am extremely pumped.
- 19:18Speaker 2: She puts on great show.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yes, she got a new album on the way and
- 19:21Speaker 1: this Dreamsickle tour. She just announced that hopefully you win
- 19:24Speaker 1: these tickets again the game Double Trouble, We're gonna ask
- 19:29Speaker 1: you trivia questions about people or characters with those double initials,
- 19:33Speaker 1: like a Maren Morris type of thing. All right, two
- 19:35Speaker 1: out of three of them, and the tickets are yours. Okay, okay,
- 19:38Speaker 1: all right, April and Hendersonville, your game starts right now.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Who is returning alongside Jamie Lee Curtis in an upcoming
- 19:47Speaker 1: sequel to the movie Freaky Friday.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Lindsay Lohan. Nice, that was an easy.
- 19:53Speaker 1: One, A point on the board, yes it was. And
- 19:54Speaker 1: Freaky Friday also a double.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Yes, double trouble.
- 19:58Speaker 1: One might say, all right, question two before you get this,
- 20:00Speaker 1: you win. Let's all stand up and do the hot
- 20:04Speaker 1: dog dance? Is a quote you might hear from what
- 20:06Speaker 1: double initial character?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, April impressive. I did not know that one.
- 20:13Speaker 1: You win? That was crazy?
- 20:15Speaker 2: Oh my god, I was.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you have young children in April? I do?
- 20:23Speaker 1: And we call all right?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Called what?
- 20:30Speaker 8: It's from the Mickey Mouse Show where he goes to space.
- 20:34Speaker 2: You know more about Mickey Mouse than Kevin does.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I don't remember that episode, but I'll take your word
- 20:39Speaker 1: for it. You're going to see Marion Morris.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Perfect, you guys so much, of course. Congratulations, Hang on
- 20:44Speaker 2: the line so we can get all your foka.
- 20:46Speaker 1: All right, all right, we're gonna have more tomorrow and
- 20:50Speaker 1: all week. I'm bummed I didn't get to do the
- 20:52Speaker 1: Mickey voice, but you know.
- 20:54Speaker 2: You do it right now. Sure, I'm sure. Go ahead.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Oh, let's all stand up and do a hot dog dunes.
- 21:01Speaker 2: That was actually so good.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Kevin impression.
- 21:04Speaker 2: That was really impressive. But now I don't know if
- 21:07Speaker 2: I'm more impressed by you were April. Three things you
- 21:10Speaker 2: need to know.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Bit past eight o'clock on this Monday morning, Here we go.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Ricky's got those three things.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Lana del Rey told the crowded stage coach that she
- 21:18Speaker 2: kissed Morgan Wallan. She said this before premiering her new
- 21:22Speaker 2: song fifty seven point five. Here she is on stage
- 21:26Speaker 2: talking about it.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I suggest don't go see weird.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't. I don't know what's going on here.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I was curious if I missed some Lana del Rey
- 21:43Speaker 2: Morgan Wallin lore at some point, but I can't find
- 21:47Speaker 2: anything online that's making sense of it. I think it's
- 21:49Speaker 2: Lana Delray having fun and just saying something to say
- 21:52Speaker 2: something yeah, because I don't know why else she would
- 21:56Speaker 2: say it. She also did say that it would be
- 21:58Speaker 2: the last time that she's ever going to say that
- 22:00Speaker 2: line specifically, so I don't know. I'm waiting to find
- 22:04Speaker 2: out more details. I'm hoping that she talks about it,
- 22:06Speaker 2: or Morgan Waller talks about it at some point I
- 22:09Speaker 2: could share with you. Almost a decade or almost after
- 22:12Speaker 2: a decade in Inglewood, TKO is closing permanently Hate to
- 22:16Speaker 2: see it. All of these stories make me so sad. Sunday,
- 22:19Speaker 2: May eleventh is going to be their last day open.
- 22:21Speaker 2: They said that they're going to try to keep up
- 22:23Speaker 2: of takeout, but the dining room will take precedence. So
- 22:26Speaker 2: if you want to get your last fix of TKO,
- 22:29Speaker 2: make sure that you actually go to see them in person.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Owners said that the decision was made after long consideration
- 22:35Speaker 2: and one hell of a ride that they've had while
- 22:38Speaker 2: they were here. So go show them some love. Support local.
- 22:41Speaker 2: We say this all the time, like support all the
- 22:44Speaker 2: restaurants and the shops that are here local in Tennessee,
- 22:47Speaker 2: in Nashville. It's important. Otherwise we're just going to keep
- 22:51Speaker 2: seeing them close up.
- 22:51Speaker 6: And nobody wants that.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Target has a new wine collection that comes in paper bottles,
- 22:59Speaker 2: right crazy. So their new collective good wine collection has
- 23:03Speaker 2: four global varieties, all hundred ten dollars, and it's in
- 23:07Speaker 2: a super light, fully recyclable paper bottle that's cool, made
- 23:11Speaker 2: from ninety four percent recycled material.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I like it. I'm struggling to picture a paper bottle.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I'm not really sure exactly how it works, but I
- 23:17Speaker 2: will say that the new bottles slash carbon emissions by
- 23:21Speaker 2: up to eighty four percent, and each winery that's involved
- 23:24Speaker 2: use eco friendly practices to make the wine, like solar
- 23:27Speaker 2: power and regeneritive farming, so all really great stuff. Nearly
- 23:31Speaker 2: twelve hundred stores are rolling them out, so that's something
- 23:34Speaker 2: to look forward to if you like to shop at Target.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 23:38Speaker 2: need to know.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I want to taste it. I want to see if
- 23:40Speaker 1: it tastes like paper or how you know, if it.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Tastes like are you imagining licking print paper?
- 23:45Speaker 9: No?
- 23:46Speaker 1: But I mean you know, if it's coming inside cardboard,
- 23:48Speaker 1: it's just like loosened carbon I don't know.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I feel like there's gotta be some kind of protective
- 23:52Speaker 2: coating on it.
- 23:53Speaker 1: But it's fully recycled out. Okay, we're gonna try. We're
- 23:55Speaker 1: gonna do it.
- 23:56Speaker 7: Taste has one the River, Heiki, Zach and Mano in
- 24:00Speaker 7: the morning, what is your most hated food?
- 24:04Speaker 2: And I asked specifically because there is a pole that
- 24:07Speaker 2: was done and Americans answered their most hated polarizing foods.
- 24:11Speaker 2: But I want to see if yours is on this list.
- 24:13Speaker 1: The polarizing implies it's kind of popular, but you don't
- 24:16Speaker 1: like it. So it's a food that some people are
- 24:18Speaker 1: really into. You're just not there, You're not into it.
- 24:21Speaker 5: What's your most says Ranch? I'm going to be so upset.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Zach loves ranch six one five seven seven seven. I
- 24:29Speaker 2: love ranch too, but some people don't like it. That's okay, No,
- 24:33Speaker 2: it's not okay.
- 24:34Speaker 1: We'll run down the results of the pole as well.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Let us know what yours is. It's the River one seven.
- 24:39Speaker 7: Five Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Jennifer in Buffalo, Good morning, welcome to one oh seven
- 24:45Speaker 2: five The River. What is your most hated food?
- 24:48Speaker 7: I know I'm going to get a lot of has
- 24:50Speaker 7: for hits, but hot dogs and boloney I can't.
- 24:52Speaker 8: Chany the one.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Thank you, Let's do the hot dog dance.
- 24:57Speaker 2: No, my god, he's d mickey out. She's not into it.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Hot Dogs is a very interesting one that you picked.
- 25:06Speaker 2: It's not on this list of America's most hated polarizing foods,
- 25:10Speaker 2: but that's for sure polarizing. I love hot dogs, Jennifer.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Is it because you know, like how they're made and
- 25:15Speaker 1: what they're made of? Is that why?
- 25:17Speaker 7: Well, we were poor when we were little and the
- 25:20Speaker 7: fact that I know how they're made, so kind of
- 25:22Speaker 7: both of those.
- 25:23Speaker 1: He ate hot dogs like every day.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh so you're just sick of them?
- 25:27Speaker 7: Yeah, like I just won't eat them.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Serious, I am.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Coming to your party because I also hate hot dogs.
- 25:34Speaker 1: There, you got a good company over here.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Thanks for Colin, Jennifer. Have a great day.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Thank you, Jesse and Columbia. Welcome to the river. What
- 25:42Speaker 1: is it for you?
- 25:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 25:43Speaker 8: For me, I would say oysters or Brussels sprouts.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Oysters or Brussels sprouts, both of those are on this
- 25:51Speaker 2: list of America's mostizing foods. Yeah, so you are right
- 25:56Speaker 2: on par with other people. Forty percent said that they
- 25:58Speaker 2: hate oysters, and percent said that they hated Brussels sprouts.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Okay, that's also, well, they haven't had my Brussels sprouts.
- 26:07Speaker 4: You're so special girl.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I can cook. I can throw it down like Gordon Ramsey.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Okay, okay, Zach is a very good cook. I do
- 26:17Speaker 2: think Brussels rats get a bad rap, and you got
- 26:19Speaker 2: to make them a very specific way for.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Them a taste.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Are great. Oysters though, that's like just like a like
- 26:26Speaker 1: snot like I understand people not liking just a big water.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Oysters are delicious.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Yeah, don't sit down right now.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Oysters are delicious. Zach and I have oyster dates.
- 26:40Speaker 1: We do, but.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I understand that you don't like them because it is
- 26:45Speaker 2: a very like acquired taste, like it takes a while
- 26:48Speaker 2: to really like it.
- 26:49Speaker 1: All right, Jesse, thank you for calling. We appreciate you.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Listen and thank you for calling.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Thank you, Bye Gods.
- 26:55Speaker 1: What are some of the other results from this, pul ricky.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Number one on the list is ancho, which completely makes sense,
- 27:02Speaker 2: not polarizing. So're discussing thoroughly like them. They'll eat them
- 27:06Speaker 2: out of the can. Even I know people that'll do that.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I know a dolphin once they did that.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Second one on the list is black licorice.
- 27:15Speaker 1: I like black neckorice.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Old people like black licorice.
- 27:18Speaker 3: keV dog walked right into that river, heiky, Zach is
- 27:23Speaker 3: a plea, Please scientists, tech world do something about this.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Everybody that is way smarter than us, please do this.
- 27:33Speaker 1: It's your priority. Straight.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it'stally double tap on one of seven. Five of
- 27:37Speaker 2: the river is for anybody who has a pet. You're
- 27:39Speaker 2: going to relate to this and you're going to make
- 27:41Speaker 2: the same plea that we're making to scientists very much.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 27:44Speaker 9: This is a message to all science and tech companies.
- 27:46Speaker 9: I don't want another iPhone.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Okay, I want my.
- 27:49Speaker 9: Dog to live till sixty. Get your priorities right.
- 27:51Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 27:52Speaker 9: I don't want another camera on my iPhone. I don't
- 27:55Speaker 9: want AI. I want my cocker spaniel to live as
- 27:59Speaker 9: long as I do. Okase, get cracking, use your intelligence
- 28:02Speaker 9: for good.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Finally somebody said it.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Zach found it. And it's just so hits you right
- 28:07Speaker 2: in the heart, you know.
- 28:08Speaker 5: I mean honestly, When my dog turned five, my boyfriend cried.
- 28:13Speaker 6: Because he was like, oh my god, it's half of
- 28:15Speaker 6: his life. How how are we gonna live?
- 28:18Speaker 5: Like he literally was so depressed about it. Every year
- 28:20Speaker 5: he cries, literally every.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Year on his birthday, he cries. So we need them
- 28:24Speaker 6: to live forever. Please.
- 28:26Speaker 1: It's very sad. Yeah, but also we have enough stuff.
- 28:29Speaker 1: We are good. We've reached yeah, a pretty impressive spot
- 28:32Speaker 1: with technology.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Like he said, we don't need more AI. We don't
- 28:35Speaker 2: need in our phone, like figure out the other things.
- 28:39Speaker 1: That would be so focused to curing diseases and having
- 28:41Speaker 1: dogs live forever. Put the daily double tap up every
- 28:44Speaker 1: day goes up in the Instagram stories at one O
- 28:46Speaker 1: seven five the River on Instagram. He can find it there.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning
