- 0:01Speaker 1: About the stage is yours because aj, you are the
- 0:07Speaker 1: Pope's favorite player, I think, and you certainly play on
- 0:11Speaker 1: or it did play on his favorite team. I just
- 0:13Speaker 1: the only thing I got out of the experience in
- 0:15Speaker 1: terms of trying to get some access, was it sounded
- 0:17Speaker 1: like you were saying, hey, what's up? And he was like, oh,
- 0:20Speaker 1: I know who you are. I follow you, I follow
- 0:23Speaker 1: the socks and give us the goods. How was it?
- 0:26Speaker 2: First of all, it was unbelievable to be able to
- 0:30Speaker 2: go do something like that. I was raised. I don't
- 0:33Speaker 2: know if people that know this. I was raised Catholic.
- 0:36Speaker 2: My mom is still heavy heavy Catholic. So I did
- 0:40Speaker 2: all the things Confirmation, confession, communion, baptism, all that in
- 0:44Speaker 2: the Catholic Church. So then to get an opportunity to
- 0:47Speaker 2: go meet somebody like the Pope, who is as high
- 0:49Speaker 2: as you can get in the Catholic Church, and not
- 0:52Speaker 2: only that, just in the world. To be given that
- 0:56Speaker 2: opportunity was something that I will always cherish and I
- 0:59Speaker 2: will never forget. And then to have my wife and
- 1:02Speaker 2: my daughter with me, and then another family friends of
- 1:04Speaker 2: ours with us was just truly incredible. I'm not going
- 1:08Speaker 2: to say how I got to do it because I
- 1:10Speaker 2: don't want the people who got it arranged to get
- 1:14Speaker 2: crushed with request to make this happen. I'll just say this,
- 1:18Speaker 2: it was not an easy adventure to make come true.
- 1:23Speaker 2: It took a lot of work. It took a lot
- 1:25Speaker 2: of texts, it took a lot of phone calls, and
- 1:26Speaker 2: there was a lot of people behind the scenes. And
- 1:28Speaker 2: you know who you are that I want to say
- 1:29Speaker 2: thank you to. My family wants to say thank you
- 1:31Speaker 2: to for taking care of this and making it happen.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And it was just one of those moments in your
- 1:36Speaker 2: life that you will never ever forget.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Is this the most starstruck you've been of meeting anybody?
- 1:42Speaker 3: As far as like most famous, because you have a
- 1:46Speaker 3: roll of dex of famous people that you've met and
- 1:48Speaker 3: talked to.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I would say, honestly, I listen, I played golf of presidents,
- 1:55Speaker 2: I know a lot of most everybody in the sporting world.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I haven't met everybody, but I've met a lot of
- 2:00Speaker 2: sporting event people, met some celebrities, movie stars, stuff like that.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I will say this. My daughter told me this after
- 2:08Speaker 2: when when you meet the Pope, if you're Catholic, you're
- 2:10Speaker 2: supposed to kiss his ring and scause he has a
- 2:12Speaker 2: ring on his finger, and so when I went, I
- 2:15Speaker 2: kissed his ring and my daughter said, Dad, that's the
- 2:18Speaker 2: first time I've ever seen you kind of pause and
- 2:21Speaker 2: not knowing exactly what to do. So I would have
- 2:24Speaker 2: to go with probably yes, because not only does this
- 2:26Speaker 2: happen with the pope, but it happens in front of people,
- 2:29Speaker 2: and a lot of people, so you're also kind of like,
- 2:32Speaker 2: who's watching, who's paid attention? But he made it, He
- 2:36Speaker 2: made it seamless, and he made it friendly, which I
- 2:39Speaker 2: cannot thank him enough. Obulio, thank you so much.
- 2:43Speaker 1: What else can you tell us, like what was it
- 2:46Speaker 1: like inside, what was security detail, what was he like?
- 2:49Speaker 1: And how much of a fan was he?
- 2:51Speaker 3: So?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Okay, so what So what happened is you go into
- 2:55Speaker 2: Saint Peter's I think it's square, even though it's not
- 2:57Speaker 2: a square, it's like a big oval, and there's I
- 3:00Speaker 2: don't know how many thousands of seats set up there
- 3:03Speaker 2: on it when he does his Wednesday audience, So there
- 3:05Speaker 2: was tens of thousands of seats and they're all filled
- 3:08Speaker 2: with people. We have to get there at I think
- 3:10Speaker 2: we had to be there at six thirty am, and
- 3:12Speaker 2: he didn't come out till ten And you're in full regalia.
- 3:16Speaker 2: You're as you can see right there, you're in full suit, tie,
- 3:19Speaker 2: the whole deal. Well, that day was like the hottest
- 3:22Speaker 2: day in the history of Rome. So I had to
- 3:25Speaker 2: sit there for three hours in a suit, after going
- 3:28Speaker 2: through multiple metal detectors, multiple security checks, and so I
- 3:32Speaker 2: didn't sit where the people sit. We were actually up
- 3:36Speaker 2: on the stage area where he gives his address, his audience,
- 3:41Speaker 2: and so his stage was here, and then we were
- 3:43Speaker 2: just off to the side and there's probably fifty to
- 3:47Speaker 2: one hundred people in this little area where we were sitting. Well,
- 3:49Speaker 2: now you're just baking in the sun. So thank god
- 3:52Speaker 2: I had an umbrella and then I had a little fan,
- 3:56Speaker 2: because otherwise I might have died of heat exhausted heat
- 3:58Speaker 2: stroke sitting there in full suit and tie. My shirt
- 4:02Speaker 2: was completely soaked through my jacket. I kept my jacket
- 4:04Speaker 2: off until we got to go up to actually meet
- 4:07Speaker 2: the Holy Father. But uh, it was it was a hot,
- 4:10Speaker 2: hot day. And then your and then your family is
- 4:12Speaker 2: all dressed in long sleeved black shirts because you have
- 4:15Speaker 2: to cover your they have to cover their sleeves and
- 4:16Speaker 2: their shoulders and their knees and so once we so
- 4:19Speaker 2: he gives his whole audience, which tastes. First of all,
- 4:21Speaker 2: he comes out in his potmobile. If you guys ever
- 4:23Speaker 2: seen thembile, If you guys know what the popmobile is.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So he comes out in the Potmobile and he drives
- 4:29Speaker 2: all through the crowd. He's kissing like when they say
- 4:32Speaker 2: kissing babies. He's literally picking up babies and kissing him
- 4:34Speaker 2: and blessing him and doing all that stuff. So he
- 4:37Speaker 2: drives around the whole crowd for about thirty minutes. Then
- 4:39Speaker 2: he comes up. He does his address. They do it
- 4:41Speaker 2: in like seven They think it was seven or eight
- 4:43Speaker 2: different languages. They have someone come up and kind of
- 4:46Speaker 2: say certain things and Chinese, English, Polish, Uh jeez, I'm
- 4:53Speaker 2: trying to think of all the languages, Spanish, Portuguese. There
- 4:56Speaker 2: was like seven. So you go through all this and
- 4:58Speaker 2: then after he's done, then you get your moment. Right,
- 5:01Speaker 2: So he does, and then he goes and takes pictures
- 5:02Speaker 2: and then they start calling you up one by one
- 5:05Speaker 2: to go meet him. And that was when it was like, Okay,
- 5:07Speaker 2: this is real.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Hey for the families out there looking for a different

- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I did. I liked it a lot. All my
- 5:23Speaker 4: kids have done it before. It's an opportunity for them
- 5:27Speaker 4: to stay at home and enjoy school just as much.
- 5:30Speaker 4: They learn a lot, and this is an opportunity for
- 5:33Speaker 4: families that are on the go too as well. They
- 5:35Speaker 4: have to understand, listen, can't be at a regular school
- 5:38Speaker 4: at all times. I need my child to be doing this,
- 5:41Speaker 4: whether it's an athletic career, whatever stature they are at.
- 5:44Speaker 4: And we loved every second of it, and I think
- 5:47Speaker 4: it is an easy opportunity for some children.

- 6:11Speaker 3: So my question is all right, you gave you gave
- 6:14Speaker 3: the first out ball last game. I'm sorry, first game,
- 6:19Speaker 3: last out ball. Do you have something more memorable from
- 6:23Speaker 3: the World Series that you were like, I should do that?
- 6:26Speaker 3: Should I do this? Should I do that? Were you choosing?
- 6:29Speaker 3: How did you choose that item?
- 6:31Speaker 2: Well? No, I mean other than if I gave him
- 6:34Speaker 2: like my cleats or my jerseys that I were but
- 6:36Speaker 2: I'm like, he doesn't really care about that. Like I
- 6:38Speaker 2: gave him a jersey signed by me, and I'm sure
- 6:41Speaker 2: that probably just went into bargain bin, like to go
- 6:43Speaker 2: to the like the dollar stories, like I get a
- 6:45Speaker 2: million of these, right. I remember sitting there. It was
- 6:47Speaker 2: a guy with the Carolina Hurricanes jersey. Right, there's the
- 6:50Speaker 2: jersey I gave him. And look, he was great, but
- 6:52Speaker 2: I'm sure he's like, eh, garbage, who cares for the ball?
- 6:56Speaker 2: Though he genuinely with the ball, was enamored by the ball.
- 6:59Speaker 2: And also so he when he hands the stuff there's
- 7:02Speaker 2: everyone gives him a president a gift. Well, people give
- 7:05Speaker 2: him stuff. He's just hand him to this guy, right,
- 7:07Speaker 2: and he's like, yeah, he took the ball and he
- 7:10Speaker 2: told him this goes in different closet, right or different.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You could see he told him not that he's like
- 7:16Speaker 2: not the not the normal, He's like, this is special.
- 7:20Speaker 2: So at least that made me feel good that I
- 7:22Speaker 2: picked the right thing to give him. But there was
- 7:24Speaker 2: a guy in front of me with a Carolina Hurricanes jersey.
- 7:27Speaker 2: He was from North Carolina, and he said he held
- 7:29Speaker 2: it up to the to the security guard he was
- 7:31Speaker 2: standing there, and the security guard goes, I don't think
- 7:33Speaker 2: he's going to care about that. He's a White Sox fan.
- 7:35Speaker 2: He only cares about the White Sox. So that was
- 7:37Speaker 2: kind of funny. And then the guy looked at me
- 7:39Speaker 2: and he's like, oh wow. But so I picked the
- 7:42Speaker 2: ball because if you remember when they showed uh, at
- 7:46Speaker 2: the time he was Father Bob, but now he's the
- 7:48Speaker 2: Pope in the in the stands. It was at the
- 7:51Speaker 2: end of game one, it was the ninth inning. It
- 7:52Speaker 2: was the last out of Adam Everett, who Bobby Jinks
- 7:55Speaker 2: struck out. So the ball that actually he struck out
- 7:59Speaker 2: was the ball that when they showed him was the
- 8:01Speaker 2: ball of the last howl when they showed the Pope
- 8:03Speaker 2: in the stands.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So I it was just.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Sitting in my host sitting mind Scott's head for the
- 8:07Speaker 2: whole time. He probably even know it was there, just
- 8:10Speaker 2: sitting there, and I'm like thinking to myself, like what
- 8:12Speaker 2: can I give him that he will remember, especially from
- 8:14Speaker 2: the White Sox, and then boom, he was at that game.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It was that batter. This is the ball Bobby Jenks
- 8:21Speaker 2: has passed away.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Rip.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Bobby was one year on July fourth, So RIP to
- 8:25Speaker 2: him and he wanted double. He had kind of had
- 8:27Speaker 2: a little argument over who gets to keep the ball,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and I was like, I'm keeping it because I caught it.
- 8:32Speaker 2: And so I kept the ball and it was just
- 8:34Speaker 2: in my house sitting there. It's authenticated, it has the
- 8:36Speaker 2: hologram on it, the whole deal. And I said, well,
- 8:40Speaker 2: this is the game he was at. This is the
- 8:41Speaker 2: game that people know he was at. And so when
- 8:44Speaker 2: I gave it to him, he laughed and he said, hey,
- 8:47Speaker 2: I was at Game two. Just nobody knew I was there.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So I was like, oh, I don't have anything from
- 8:50Speaker 2: Game two, so I can't help you with that one.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But he thought it was awesome. He loved it. It
- 8:55Speaker 2: was the perfect thing to give him with his White
- 8:58Speaker 2: Sox fandom, and then knowing that that was the game
- 9:00Speaker 2: that he was at.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, text Scottie Pott, see if he'll give the
- 9:04Speaker 3: home run ball back to I don't know if he
- 9:07Speaker 3: has it.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I don't know that he has.
- 9:09Speaker 3: I don't know where that ball is. I don't know
- 9:10Speaker 3: that he has that he does it. He said he does,
- 9:13Speaker 3: and he's like, I don't care. I got my cleats,
- 9:15Speaker 3: sees that I got my best.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Game three, I don't know what. So I was asked
- 9:20Speaker 2: Game one I had, Game two was the home run ball.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I don't know that ball might be in the Hall
- 9:23Speaker 2: of Fame. Game three, I don't even remember how it
- 9:26Speaker 2: ended because I got double switched out because people forget
- 9:30Speaker 2: Houston was in the National League then, so there was
- 9:32Speaker 2: double switches. And then Game four was Konerko who gave
- 9:36Speaker 2: it to Jerry Ryan stur So, I don't I don't
- 9:39Speaker 2: know where That's the only ball that I actually knew
- 9:41Speaker 2: where it was, and I just happen to be in
- 9:43Speaker 2: possession of it, so it worked out perfectly.
- 9:45Speaker 3: I can confirm it was smoking hot because my parents
- 9:49Speaker 3: were in the Vatican the day after you were there.
- 9:52Speaker 3: No no correlation, and my neighbor was there two days
- 9:57Speaker 3: before you. There's no like, there's no possible way that
- 10:00Speaker 3: so many people that I knew were in the Vatican
- 10:02Speaker 3: the exact same time. But it happened.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I'll tell you how hot it was. My shoes melted. No,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I had loafers on and they the bottoms melted and
- 10:12Speaker 2: they yep. Fortunately, fortunately it happened after we had our
- 10:18Speaker 2: audience with the Pope, So that was good. But the
- 10:21Speaker 2: souls of my chief, yeah.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Louis Maton's melt. I didn't know that their products sorry
- 10:28Speaker 3: product red bottoms.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Wait, we lost my many out there for sure, Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 2: I don't And and and also listen, the coolest thing
- 10:37Speaker 2: was he was such a nice guy. I know, we
- 10:38Speaker 2: have to get to Bomb nine and Gil, but he
- 10:40Speaker 2: was such a genuinely nice person. And it's what you
- 10:43Speaker 2: would expect when you meet the Pope, right, But he
- 10:45Speaker 2: took time to meet my family, took time to meet
- 10:47Speaker 2: the people that we were with, and and genuinely interact
- 10:50Speaker 2: with him, not just oh hey hey, hey hey hey,
- 10:53Speaker 2: like he genuinely interacted, had a conversation. They were from
- 10:55Speaker 2: Las Vegas. They gave him something from their church because
- 10:58Speaker 2: they were Catholic, so that their pre They told me,
- 11:00Speaker 2: are going to go meet him, and so they he
- 11:01Speaker 2: gave him something. He was genuinely awesome about it. And
- 11:04Speaker 2: then you know, the funny story is, when I was
- 11:06Speaker 2: walking away, I said to him, Hey, you know the
- 11:09Speaker 2: White Sox in first place, and he said, I'm watching.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I'm paying attention, so White Sox fans, White Sox people
- 11:16Speaker 2: will know the Pope the highest, one of the highest
- 11:19Speaker 2: positions in the world is paying attention to what you're
- 11:21Speaker 2: doing every day.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got a little something extra on your side,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and it looks that way sometimes with the way the
- 11:28Speaker 1: White Sox are playing lately. So that's a cool visit.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And yeah, if anyone as questions, we'll post this in
- 11:34Speaker 1: some spots. Let us know in the comments and we
- 11:36Speaker 1: can try and ask aj later on this week too.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what he said.
- 11:42Speaker 1: That's what he said.
- 11:44Speaker 3: That's what he said.
- 11:45Speaker 1: That's what he said. We didn't talk a ton about this.
- 11:50Speaker 1: It was like kind of a footnote on one of
- 11:52Speaker 1: our shows when this Steve Cohen interview went out with
- 11:55Speaker 1: him and Joel Sherman and John Hayman, and he talked
- 11:58Speaker 1: about how things are getting better between so Lindor Sodo
- 12:01Speaker 1: dropped an all time quote this from our tweet on
- 12:04Speaker 1: ft Twitter. Discussing his relationship with Lindor, he said, the
- 12:08Speaker 1: two are fine. He said, quote definitely, our relationship is
- 12:10Speaker 1: getting better because it takes time. When you meet a girl,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you don't start kissing her right away. That one made
- 12:15Speaker 1: some headlines, but the real headliner here is Aja. We
- 12:19Speaker 1: had what a year of rumors with Lindor and Sodo
- 12:24Speaker 1: not being bff We spoke about this plenty of times
- 12:27Speaker 1: on our show, like they don't have to be best friends,
- 12:29Speaker 1: they just can't hate each other. Kratz actually the other
- 12:31Speaker 1: day said that could cost you a game or two though,
- 12:33Speaker 1: if the two superstars are butting heads. And then Steve
- 12:35Speaker 1: Cohen did confirm on an interview a week ago that
- 12:38Speaker 1: the two were not getting along well and that they're
- 12:41Speaker 1: in a better place this year. Your thoughts on all
- 12:44Speaker 1: of this are we still reading too much into this?
- 12:46Speaker 1: And also I mentioned Mike Puma, the writer who initially
- 12:49Speaker 1: put this out last year, who was getting roasted. He
- 12:52Speaker 1: was right. He put out a story that said those
- 12:55Speaker 1: two aren't BFFs and it's a thing, and he got
- 12:58Speaker 1: attacked for it, and he was right.
- 13:02Speaker 2: There's crowds you ever played with anybody wore in BFFs with.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I mean.
- 13:10Speaker 2: This and Scott, you don't understand the dynamics of a
- 13:13Speaker 2: locker room because you only snuck in there when the
- 13:15Speaker 2: guys were coming out of the shower, so you didn't
- 13:18Speaker 2: really understand it how it work. But there's plenty of
- 13:20Speaker 2: fights in locker rooms, even on good teams. Even on
- 13:24Speaker 2: good team, Scott, there were guys that you just you
- 13:27Speaker 2: couldn't jive with. You Now you found common ground because
- 13:30Speaker 2: you were on the same team and you wanted to win.
- 13:32Speaker 2: But there's plenty of guys you played with you were like,
- 13:35Speaker 2: you know, what's funny is a lot of the guys honestly,
- 13:37Speaker 2: And I don't know if krawdzikers. There were guys that
- 13:39Speaker 2: I didn't get along with. I won't say I wouldn't
- 13:41Speaker 2: get along, but we didn't see eye to eye, and
- 13:42Speaker 2: a lot of stuff. And then after you don't play
- 13:44Speaker 2: with them anymore and you see him down the road,
- 13:45Speaker 2: you're actually better friends with them, and you get along
- 13:48Speaker 2: a little bit better because you're not in the locker
- 13:51Speaker 2: room with him every day. You don't have to see
- 13:52Speaker 2: him every day. You see him every once in a while,
- 13:54Speaker 2: So there's plenty of guys all the time. And listen,
- 13:56Speaker 2: I thought once, so don't handled this pretty good? I
- 13:58Speaker 2: thought it was pretty funny. It was just it was
- 14:00Speaker 2: a smart little comebacky, a snappy little comeback he had
- 14:03Speaker 2: about the girl kissing the girl for the first time.
- 14:05Speaker 2: So hey, they're working on him. Maybe they are getting better.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Who knows. But at the end of the day, it
- 14:09Speaker 2: ain't the fact that Sodo and Lindord don't get along
- 14:12Speaker 2: with the Mets scene winning. There's a lot of problems
- 14:14Speaker 2: on the team. I just saw him this weekend. I mean,
- 14:16Speaker 2: the center fielder dropped the fly ball. Their defense isn't
- 14:18Speaker 2: very good. A lot there's injuries. There's a lot of
- 14:20Speaker 2: problems with this Mets team.
- 14:21Speaker 3: It ain't that we're not gonna get We've We've done
- 14:24Speaker 3: a lot of why the Mets aren't winning and why
- 14:26Speaker 3: they aren't. But aj, have you ever been on a
- 14:28Speaker 3: team where of the two best players haven't seen eye
- 14:32Speaker 3: to eye?
- 14:34Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 14:35Speaker 3: I have. Yes, That's what makes the team great. That's
- 14:39Speaker 3: what to me, that's what makes a team great. Go ahead.
- 14:43Speaker 1: You said last week that it could have caused a
- 14:47Speaker 1: game or two to go a different way if there's
- 14:49Speaker 1: dissension in the clubhass last year.
- 14:51Speaker 3: It can absolutely because teams are you know, guys are
- 14:56Speaker 3: maybe choosing sides. But if you're too, if your two
- 15:00Speaker 3: best players are just in lockstep, you know it's gonna happen.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Somebody else is running past you because you're you're missing
- 15:08Speaker 3: things like you need to keep each other accountable, and
- 15:12Speaker 3: you also need to make sure it's helping the team
- 15:15Speaker 3: get better. Ultimately, nobody's ever gonna say, well, the reason
- 15:19Speaker 3: that they missed the miss the playoffs was because of
- 15:22Speaker 3: the tiff that was going on between Lindor and Sodo. No,
- 15:25Speaker 3: that's not what I'm saying. It's because they had no
- 15:28Speaker 3: starting pitching that went past the fifth inning playing and simple,
- 15:31Speaker 3: that was it. But little things can cause you to
- 15:37Speaker 3: lose games. And ultimately they missed the playoffs by one
- 15:41Speaker 3: game last year. So yes, there are little things that
- 15:45Speaker 3: can cause you to lose games. But that's not why
- 15:47Speaker 3: the Mets weren't good. Yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 2: True, Kenton and Kent are both in the Hall of well,
- 15:56Speaker 2: they both should be in the Hall of Fame. One
- 15:58Speaker 2: of them's in the other one should be. They didn't
- 16:00Speaker 2: get along allegedly, but they won plenty of games and
- 16:02Speaker 2: they were giants. They didn't win the World Series, but
- 16:05Speaker 2: that was not because those two weren't good, because those
- 16:07Speaker 2: didn't get I mean I play. You have to understand
- 16:10Speaker 2: that on a team, there are I don't want to
- 16:13Speaker 2: say clicks, but there are groups of people that hang
- 16:16Speaker 2: out because they get along better with each other and
- 16:18Speaker 2: there are always constant sniping at each other. It's a clubhouse.
- 16:21Speaker 2: It's what makes a clubhouse so fun to be in
- 16:24Speaker 2: because there's always a little bit of this, and there's
- 16:25Speaker 2: always and if you don't have that, then it's what
- 16:28Speaker 2: Krat said, you're not holding each other accountable. If you
- 16:30Speaker 2: don't have somebody saying, well, you mess that up, or
- 16:33Speaker 2: you screwed this up, or you screwed that up. If
- 16:35Speaker 2: everyone's like, oh, way to go, komba ya, then you're
- 16:38Speaker 2: missing stuff. Like Krat said, that's the best point. You're
- 16:41Speaker 2: missing stuff if everyone's getting along because you're not holding
- 16:43Speaker 2: each other accountable. Because if you're not, if there's not
- 16:46Speaker 2: a little bit of YIPI back and forth between guys,
- 16:51Speaker 2: they're not trying to help you. They're not trying to improve.
- 16:53Speaker 2: How you're doing great, buddy, you're doing great. And it's
- 16:55Speaker 2: not like.
- 16:56Speaker 3: That, Kip. I've been looking for the best deals for
- 17:03Speaker 3: the All Star Game tickets in Philly. Where are you
- 17:05Speaker 3: going to get some tickets from?
- 17:07Speaker 5: I'm going straight out to Rife Field. If Harper and
- 17:10Speaker 5: Schwarber both joined the home run derby, I want to
- 17:12Speaker 5: be catching the hometown guys hitting them. So I'm going
- 17:14Speaker 5: out to the Rife Field kind of where I think
- 17:16Speaker 5: I could get the best chance of catching one of
- 17:17Speaker 5: those home.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Runs, maybe in the second deck. You can go on
- 17:21Speaker 3: the app and you can look to see what your
- 17:22Speaker 3: view is going to be, because them boys are going
- 17:23Speaker 3: to be launching them Johns. And with over thirty five
- 17:26Speaker 3: million downloads, seageek is the number one rated ticketing app.
- 17:30Speaker 3: There are more than seventy thousand events listed at seekk
- 17:33Speaker 3: including concerts, sports, festivals, and more. And of course I
- 17:37Speaker 3: have a code for you all. You can use the
- 17:39Speaker 3: code Territory ten for ten percent off your next set
- 17:42Speaker 3: of MLB tickets at seageek. That's ten percent off MLB
- 17:46Speaker 3: tickets with promo code Territory ten. Make sure you click
- 17:50Speaker 3: the link in the description to download the app and
- 17:52Speaker 3: have the code automatically added to your account. So you
- 17:55Speaker 3: could use it later. Thank you to Sea Geek, and
- 17:57Speaker 3: we'll see you at the game. I think you need it.
- 18:00Speaker 3: I think you need a guy. And I'm not saying
- 18:03Speaker 3: it's me. I'm saying, like the role that I played was,
- 18:08Speaker 3: I had no problem calling out when I'm on the Brewers,
- 18:12Speaker 3: Ryan Braun, Christian Yelich to Lorenzo Caine. When I'm on
- 18:17Speaker 3: the Yankees, I have no problem making fun of John
- 18:19Speaker 3: Carlos Stanton, just like I'm gonna make fun of Greg Byrd,
- 18:24Speaker 3: you know, just random players. You have to be able
- 18:27Speaker 3: to so that the team doesn't look at those guys
- 18:30Speaker 3: and go, oh, man, if Wan doesn't like Little Oh,
- 18:35Speaker 3: if he doesn't like Francisco, what are we gonna do?
- 18:37Speaker 3: He plays short, he plays right field, what's gonna happen?
- 18:41Speaker 3: When is he not gonna run as hard? Is he
- 18:43Speaker 3: not gonna you know, run the bases when Wan gets
- 18:47Speaker 3: a base and no, like that's that's not what's gonna happen.
- 18:50Speaker 3: But when you have those things that bring guys together,
- 18:54Speaker 3: sometimes it takes opposites of tract.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Also, if they're getting long better this year, well I
- 19:01Speaker 1: want to go back to last year. Last year they
- 19:02Speaker 1: at least only missed the playoffs by game this year,
- 19:04Speaker 1: they're probably gonna miss the playoffs by like ten games.
- 19:06Speaker 1: This year's worse. I don't. I mean they're better friends
- 19:08Speaker 1: this year. That kind of sucks right now, they're they're terrible.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I mean, like day ja, I don't think they're a
- 19:14Speaker 1: better friends.
- 19:15Speaker 3: I don't think they're better friends. It seems like they're
- 19:18Speaker 3: more amicable.
- 19:20Speaker 2: They both missed a bunch of time this year, so
- 19:22Speaker 2: they weren't together every day. Frank, By the way, can
- 19:26Speaker 2: I just can I say something? Did y'all watch the
- 19:28Speaker 2: game on Saturday that I had where Tyrone Taylor dropped
- 19:30Speaker 2: the fly ball?
- 19:33Speaker 1: I didn't think that that was yesterday right where he
- 19:38Speaker 1: went back and then the ball felt that was it?
- 19:44Speaker 2: When is pitching Eli White and by the way, it
- 19:47Speaker 2: was like who By the way, Eli White owns Sean Manyah.
- 19:50Speaker 2: He hits a pop up behind second, but Lindor goes back,
- 19:53Speaker 2: calls it does everything right, I got it. You know
- 19:55Speaker 2: you you're taught. You go until the outfitter calls you off.
- 19:58Speaker 2: He he stops, Taylor calls him all. He dives out
- 20:02Speaker 2: of the way, trying to avoid a collision. Taylor comes
- 20:05Speaker 2: in and ball hits off the tivi of his glove.
- 20:06Speaker 2: They rule it a double three RBIs three run score right,
- 20:10Speaker 2: and then people are like, oh, Taylor or Lindor messed
- 20:14Speaker 2: that up. I'm like, Lindor did not mess that up
- 20:15Speaker 2: people on Twitter, because people on Twitter are funny, Oh,
- 20:18Speaker 2: that's a Lindor's fault. No, it's not Lindors fall. He
- 20:20Speaker 2: did exactly what was supposed to do. It was actually
- 20:22Speaker 2: Taylor's fault. He called him off and then missed the ball. Lindor,
- 20:25Speaker 2: I got it, I got I got it, and then
- 20:26Speaker 2: he literally dove out of the way to try to
- 20:28Speaker 2: avoid a collision. It's amazing how people see different things
- 20:32Speaker 2: from different angles. But that just summed up the Mets
- 20:34Speaker 2: right there. I mean, they had a chance to get
- 20:36Speaker 2: out of that game, out of that inning and be closed.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Instead they give up a five spot.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Yeah, well there's frustration.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yeah. So you know, Aja, I didn't know if you
- 20:47Speaker 3: guys talked about run prevention at all, because that's a
- 20:50Speaker 3: that's a key word, keyword.
- 20:52Speaker 1: That's called it out prevention right there.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Their defense. By the way, I listen, Marcus Simeon was
- 20:58Speaker 2: playing through a hip tear I guess a tear in
- 21:00Speaker 2: his hit, which I give him credit for that. But
- 21:02Speaker 2: you know, Marcus Simeon Vientos at first isn't great. I
- 21:05Speaker 2: mean they have Beaty playing second now, isn't actually a
- 21:07Speaker 2: third baseman, you know, it's it's like, you know, and
- 21:10Speaker 2: actually Boga shift for as much crap as he got,
- 21:12Speaker 2: he's doing all right at third base. His numbers aren't
- 21:14Speaker 2: bad at third base. He actually is decent at third base.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I know he would be better though at at second base.
- 21:20Speaker 1: But yes, he's it's not bad at third base. I
- 21:23Speaker 1: think it's still has thrown him off a little bit.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But I mean the point, I.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Mean, Soto and left isn't Soto and left is never
- 21:28Speaker 2: going to be a goal Glover. No, I mean we
- 21:30Speaker 2: all know that, right. I mean, Taylor's fine in center.
- 21:33Speaker 2: You know Bene is actually be Bene I think is
- 21:35Speaker 2: actually better suited in center. Arguing Whoever, the game, I
- 21:38Speaker 2: did Sale pitch so they had to sit one on them.
- 21:40Speaker 2: They set youing against Sale, which can't really blame him.
- 21:43Speaker 3: I can't wait till next year when Betty plays a
- 21:46Speaker 3: sixth different position of his career like Brett Bendy. This
- 21:50Speaker 3: up and coming third base prospect Ronnie Mauricio. Now he's
- 21:54Speaker 3: gonna take. No, Viento's is gonna take. No, you're gonna
- 21:56Speaker 3: play for Nope, right left, third, third again, No second.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Now he's gonna catch next year.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Don't put that on that man. Don't put he looks athletic.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Don't let him do that.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He's going to be an All star on the Tigers
- 22:09Speaker 1: in two years something like that.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I'm telling you the third base.
- 22:13Speaker 1: As a third base, he's got it. It's it's written.
- 22:16Speaker 1: His script will end up somewhere else and he will
- 22:20Speaker 1: shine and Mets fans will lose their mind. No, this
- 22:22Speaker 1: this scam here playing to what AJ's point is. You
- 22:25Speaker 1: mentioned run prevention. You kind of hint that you're getting
- 22:28Speaker 1: rid of certain players and adding other players to cure
- 22:31Speaker 1: that run prevention. It never made sense. It got questioned,
- 22:35Speaker 1: and it played out exactly the way that most people
- 22:39Speaker 1: thought it would. Right, You're like, why is that guy
- 22:40Speaker 1: playing there? That guy's playing there, that guy's playing there,
- 22:42Speaker 1: And then you're like, oh wait, there is no why
- 22:44Speaker 1: it doesn't work. Period, That's what happened.
- 22:47Speaker 3: It works. It works in the war algorithm. It works
- 22:51Speaker 3: if you add enough guys, who's projected war equals and
- 22:55Speaker 3: you saw it in the preseason projections. That's why, yes,
- 22:59Speaker 3: I hammered the under with the Mets wins for the year.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I think they're projected to win like eighty nine games.
- 23:05Speaker 3: I'm like, I don't think so. I just feel like
- 23:07Speaker 3: it's too much. But there was a lot of War
- 23:09Speaker 3: put together. So projections said good team. Reality is saying
- 23:16Speaker 3: not a good team.
- 23:17Speaker 1: That's lazy. And it's funny because Aj, he's right. I
- 23:20Speaker 1: think the Mets were projected like second based on the
- 23:22Speaker 1: War on their roster, and the Brewers were very low
- 23:26Speaker 1: down the list, and you put the connection with the
- 23:28Speaker 1: Brewers and the Mets, and you're like, wait, maybe the
- 23:30Speaker 1: Brewers are not just looking at.
- 23:33Speaker 2: That, or maybe War is in the end all being
- 23:36Speaker 2: all what people think it.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Is, or maybe projections you have five dollars in a projection.
- 23:42Speaker 3: You have five dollars, that's all you have, and you
- 23:44Speaker 3: have nothing. Let's look at projections next year what guys
- 23:47Speaker 3: are supposed to do and see who cares.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And the thing for me is, you know what you
- 23:54Speaker 1: bought in Monsto? Is he going to be the ride
- 23:57Speaker 1: or die leader of your team? No, is he going
- 23:59Speaker 1: to put up the same numbers basically every year? Yes,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you're good, He's not the problem offensively. Is he going
- 24:08Speaker 1: to be a great defender? No? Is he going to
- 24:10Speaker 1: steal as much as he did last year without Aton Richardson? No,
- 24:14Speaker 1: at first base. But besides that, the actual that walks
- 24:18Speaker 1: the pop the whole deal when he's on the field, like,
- 24:20Speaker 1: it's so consistent. So, whether they love each other, hate
- 24:25Speaker 1: each other, believe in kissing girls on first dates or not,
- 24:28Speaker 1: Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor apparently do not need to
- 24:31Speaker 1: be best friends for the Mets to be good. They
- 24:34Speaker 1: just need a better roster. If you wanted more confirmation,
- 24:38Speaker 1: Jim Bowden asked John Mozzelak, who is running the Angels
- 24:41Speaker 1: front office right now, if he was going to trade
- 24:43Speaker 1: Mike Trapp to the Phillies at the trade headline, and
- 24:45Speaker 1: he answered emphatically no. Ken Rosendaal also did a one
- 24:49Speaker 1: on one with mo a couple of weeks ago, and
- 24:51Speaker 1: if you read that article you can see that clearly
- 24:54Speaker 1: because he had breakfast or something with Artie Marino after
- 24:57Speaker 1: he got hired, and clearly they went over the big
- 24:59Speaker 1: time topics like hey, can I trade assets because you
- 25:02Speaker 1: hold on to them for too long? And he might
- 25:04Speaker 1: have said, hey, I'll let you do a little bit
- 25:05Speaker 1: of that. Let me know. I might change my mind
- 25:08Speaker 1: last minute, so you might do ninety hours of work
- 25:11Speaker 1: and then get a no for me, but I will
- 25:13Speaker 1: at least allow you to do that. Trout is a
- 25:15Speaker 1: no because that's why people still go to Angels camps
- 25:18Speaker 1: right now to see the legend.
- 25:20Speaker 3: And I would agree with Already on that one. I
- 25:22Speaker 3: would say, don't trade them. I would not agree if
- 25:24Speaker 3: I'm a baseball fan, But I also would say everything
- 25:29Speaker 3: that Already's going to do ultimately, And that's why I'm
- 25:32Speaker 3: not buying the mosay Locks stuff until I actually see
- 25:34Speaker 3: it is going to be based on money. That's it.
- 25:37Speaker 3: It's gonna be based on money. You want to make changes,
- 25:39Speaker 3: all right? Do it? Where are you going to find
- 25:41Speaker 3: the money? Because I just build a brand new weight
- 25:45Speaker 3: room in Scottsdale for the team, So there's eight million
- 25:52Speaker 3: dollars off of your list that you can use. So
- 25:54Speaker 3: you got to find a different way to find some money,
- 25:57Speaker 3: is what Already's going to say.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Where was mo by the way?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Nowhere? What do you mean, he was chilling.
- 26:07Speaker 2: He was just sitting at home and they just called
- 26:08Speaker 2: him and said, you want to be interim GM. Correct, Wow,
- 26:13Speaker 2: that's amazing. I talked about the end of last year.
- 26:16Speaker 2: He's like, I'm looking for some time off.
- 26:18Speaker 1: He did, he said, he said eight nine months was enough, and.
- 26:22Speaker 3: I know what I mean.
- 26:24Speaker 2: But so this was in the works. And obviously this
- 26:26Speaker 2: was in the works before they fired Peramin, because you
- 26:29Speaker 2: don't you don't just fire the gym and say, oh,
- 26:31Speaker 2: by the way, we're gonna pull John. Normally you say
- 26:33Speaker 2: we fired the gym, we're taking the assistant gym and make
- 26:35Speaker 2: him the gym. They said, no, we're gonna So John
- 26:37Speaker 2: Mosella has already Marno's ear a little bit somewhere.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Doesn't he have to signed until the already doesn't have
- 26:43Speaker 1: to pay him during the lockout? I kid you not.
- 26:45Speaker 1: He's obsed paying people during the lockout. Correct, It's correct.
- 26:49Speaker 1: He's obsessed with like saving something. He's like, but why.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Would you why would you do this right before probably
- 26:57Speaker 2: it could be one of the most important trade deadlines
- 26:59Speaker 2: ever and you make this move. It just doesn't make
- 27:02Speaker 2: it make sense. Craps make it make sense.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Scoff I just don't want to pay people during the walkout,
- 27:07Speaker 1: and a lady's gonna brag about it to all this.
- 27:09Speaker 3: But because already likes loud noises, that's why
