- 11:41Speaker 13: fashion on the world stage. In media News, a farewell
- 11:46Speaker 13: that feels timeless. When the late Asha Postlegi collaborated with
- 11:50Speaker 13: Gorillas on The Shadowy Light, it became more than just
- 11:53Speaker 13: a global crossover. It felt deeply personal. Framed through her
- 11:57Speaker 13: reflections on Varronessy and Maga, the song now stands as
- 12:02Speaker 13: a poetic closing chapter on life, legacy and becoming one
- 12:05Speaker 13: with the music she created. In event News, a life

- 15:46Speaker 1: that song called Sideways. I hope you're enjoying your Monday
- 15:50Speaker 1: wherever you may be. Let's bring in our own Mira
- 15:53Speaker 1: Sharma to the episode, and she brings us a mindful
- 15:56Speaker 1: minute every Monday morning on the bridge. How are you today, Mira.
- 16:01Speaker 19: Hey, Sammy, Hey, everyone. Mirah Shama here with your weekly
- 16:06Speaker 19: dose of mindful sass helping you stay self assured, spirited,
- 16:10Speaker 19: and strong. This week's reminder, stop overthinking it half the time.
- 16:16Speaker 19: The situation isn't as deep as your mind is making
- 16:19Speaker 19: it out to be. We create stories, jump to conclusions,
- 16:23Speaker 19: and stress over things that haven't even happened. Here's the truth.
- 16:28Speaker 19: You can't control everything, but you can control how you respond,
- 16:34Speaker 19: and that's your power. So pause, take a breath and
- 16:38Speaker 19: ask yourself, is this actually a problem or am I
- 16:42Speaker 19: just overthinking it? Let it go, trust yourself and move
- 16:46Speaker 19: forward with clarity not chaos.
- 16:50Speaker 3: You've got this.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Thank you so much for that, Mira. Mira's mindful minute
- 16:53Speaker 1: shows up at the perfect time every week on a Monday,
- 16:56Speaker 1: to power you through the rest of this work week.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Mirah. Now let's turn the microphone
- 17:04Speaker 1: over to our dear friend mister Matt Wells from the
- 17:08Speaker 1: UN News Department, who's part of our weekly partnership with
- 17:11Speaker 1: the UN News.
- 17:13Speaker 20: This is UN News Today with me Matt Wells the headlines.
- 17:16Speaker 20: Bodies from Israel's massive air strikes remain under the rubble
- 17:19Speaker 20: in Lebanon as the US Iran ceasefire faces major headwinds
- 17:24Speaker 20: are staggering. Fourteen million people have been displaced in war
- 17:27Speaker 20: torn Sudan, and independent rights experts welcome Spain's Truth Commission,
- 17:32Speaker 20: which will investigate human rights violations during the civil war
- 17:35Speaker 20: and Franco dictatorship. With Lebanon still reading from Israel's devastating
- 17:42Speaker 20: attacks on Wednesday, UN humanitarians on Friday reported new fears
- 17:46Speaker 20: of attacks on ambulances and looming food shortages in the
- 17:49Speaker 20: south of the country. Speaking from Beiruts, where he witnessed
- 17:52Speaker 20: the horrifying attacks firsthand, the World Health Organizations representative in
- 17:56Speaker 20: the country, doctor abden Asir Abu Bakar, said so three
- 18:00Speaker 20: hundred people were killed in the strikes, according to local authorities.
- 18:04Speaker 20: A further oney one hundred and fifty were injured. Many
- 18:07Speaker 20: more are still missing, he told reporters in Geneva, mostly
- 18:10Speaker 20: buried under rubble from the strikes. Many body parts are
- 18:13Speaker 20: also waiting to be identified.
- 18:15Speaker 21: This morning, we receive another you know warning from the
- 18:18Speaker 21: Israelis where you know, the ambulances will be attacked as well,
- 18:21Speaker 21: and I just would like to remind that both the
- 18:23Speaker 21: healthcare workers, the facilities, the ambulances are all protected under
- 18:27Speaker 21: international monetarian law and unless we have these services available,
- 18:30Speaker 21: we will not be able to save lives.
- 18:32Speaker 1: He said.
- 18:32Speaker 20: Israel's rationale was that ambulances are being used by Hezbola,
- 18:36Speaker 20: but the UN insists that misuse by militants does not
- 18:39Speaker 20: justify such attacks. Dr Abu Baka stressed the impossibility of
- 18:43Speaker 20: potentially having to move four hundred and fifty patients, including
- 18:47Speaker 20: some fifty in intensive care, out of hospitals following evacuation demands.
- 18:52Speaker 20: The UN Refugee Agency UNHCR said families who'd already fled
- 18:56Speaker 20: earlier bombing in Beirut, the Bekhar Valley and southern Lebanon,
- 18:59Speaker 20: some of whom had begun thinking about returning, are now
- 19:01Speaker 20: in despair. Areas previously considered safe for struck, triggering panic
- 19:06Speaker 20: and forcing people to flee for the second or even
- 19:08Speaker 20: third time. As Sudan approaches the third anniversary of a
- 19:12Speaker 20: brutal civil war, millions remain displaced and hungry, while the
- 19:16Speaker 20: health system lies in ruins, un agencies said on Friday.
- 19:20Speaker 20: Speaking from Khartoum, the UNHCR representative from the country, Marie
- 19:24Speaker 20: Helen Verni, told reporters that since the start of the
- 19:27Speaker 20: conflict between rival militaries, some fourteen million people, a staggering
- 19:31Speaker 20: quarter of the population, have been forced to flee, with
- 19:34Speaker 20: nine million remaining displaced inside Sudan and four point four
- 19:38Speaker 20: million across borders, primarily in Chad, South Sudan and Egypt.
- 19:42Speaker 22: As we speak, we still have fighting ongoing in large
- 19:45Speaker 22: parts of the country, very much this year in three
- 19:48Speaker 22: states that are called the Court of Fans. Fighting still
- 19:53Speaker 22: ongoing in Dafur and also in Bluenal And. One thing
- 19:57Speaker 22: to note is the increased use of aerial movements and
- 20:01Speaker 22: prodded decks.
- 20:02Speaker 20: Air strikes have been targeting civilian infrastructure with no warnings,
- 20:05Speaker 20: she added, and serious human rights violations have continued, including massacres,
- 20:10Speaker 20: forced recruitment, and arbitrary arrests. Women and girls are particularly
- 20:14Speaker 20: at risk of conflict related sexual violence, which often takes
- 20:17Speaker 20: place when they're trying to run for safety, Miss Verne said,
- 20:22Speaker 20: and finally turning to Spain, where Spanish authorities have established
- 20:25Speaker 20: a Truth Commission to investigate human rights violations committed nearly
- 20:29Speaker 20: ninety years ago during the Spanish Civil War and the
- 20:32Speaker 20: Franco dictatorship that followed. Un Independent human rights experts have
- 20:37Speaker 20: welcomed the decision, saying it was a long awaited and
- 20:39Speaker 20: historical step that will help provide redress to victims and
- 20:43Speaker 20: healing for Spanish society. The commission aims to systematize existing knowledge,
- 20:48Speaker 20: deepen understanding of underresearched areas, and make recommendations for reparations.
- 20:53Speaker 20: It will also see an official recognition and apology to
- 20:56Speaker 20: victims of the notorious Women's Protection Board. The board was
- 21:00Speaker 20: active from nineteen forty one to nineteen eighty five and
- 21:04Speaker 20: known for its brutality, including arbitrary detention, physical abuse, forced labor,
- 21:09Speaker 20: and the trafficking and enforced disappearance of newborn children. These
- 21:13Speaker 20: measures are a significant step for the victims, whose suffering
- 21:16Speaker 20: has remained hidden and unaddressed for far too long. The
- 21:20Speaker 20: human rights Counsel appointed experts, said Matt Wells un News thank.
- 21:25Speaker 1: You so much for that, Matt, and thank you for
- 21:27Speaker 1: the un News report. Right there, we're honoring Asha Boslet
- 21:32Speaker 1: today passed away yesterday at the age of ninety two.
- 21:38Speaker 1: This song right here that she did with Rman Sir
- 21:41Speaker 1: might be one of my personal favorites. This song is
- 21:44Speaker 1: called Mudje Rangadeh.
- 22:01Speaker 2: General Geral.
- 22:08Speaker 23: Gerald Syd.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You let today the rest what your name Hi Hi?
- 22:48Speaker 7: Increased to day to day the day high resid you please.
- 23:00Speaker 2: To be deficit things they would you have to make.
- 23:05Speaker 7: Final day high red Please? May Barney is no marriage.
- 23:16Speaker 7: Also May Barney is not manage Barney game.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Man ge gen gething.
- 23:49Speaker 7: Okay, pay the thing.
- 23:53Speaker 2: We please to take us of.
- 23:54Speaker 7: This can be.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Lee Canree the day.
- 24:03Speaker 21: Can can.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Can canes tass.
- 24:15Speaker 21: The day.
- 24:15Speaker 2: That's that's na.
- 25:18Speaker 1: What an amazing collaboration this song was. Now, folks, let's
- 25:25Speaker 1: bring into the show Mega Kadakia, who is from the
- 25:28Speaker 1: Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles and she is in
- 25:33Speaker 1: charge of the Industry Day festivities that take place next
- 25:36Speaker 1: week right here in La. Let's bring in Mega to
- 25:39Speaker 1: the show. How are you Mega right? How are you
- 25:42Speaker 1: Sammy doing well? Listen? I've been a fan, You've been
- 25:46Speaker 1: working in the industry as a film producer and now
- 25:49Speaker 1: here you are anchoring the Indian Film Festival of LA's
- 25:52Speaker 1: big Industry Days festivities. This is awesome. I'm so impressed
- 25:57Speaker 1: by what's going on here.
- 25:59Speaker 12: Great you It's been a it's been a great run
- 26:03Speaker 12: so far. I mean, we've got some incredible opportunities with
- 26:07Speaker 12: the industry days and especially looking at how can we
- 26:10Speaker 12: expand South Asian storytelling beyond traditional media forms you know,
- 26:15Speaker 12: like film and docs and television, which are doing incredibly well.
- 26:20Speaker 12: So how do we start, especially with the industry going
- 26:23Speaker 12: through some of the pressures and changes and challenges in
- 26:27Speaker 12: the last several years, what can we do to to
- 26:32Speaker 12: to think about storytelling in a different way. And so
- 26:35Speaker 12: we're really bringing in some incredible panels. One of them
- 26:40Speaker 12: is in gaming and really looking at the next frontier
- 26:43Speaker 12: of what interactive storytelling can look like in the South
- 26:47Speaker 12: Asian world.
- 26:48Speaker 5: And what those stories could be like.
- 26:51Speaker 12: You know, as we all know, the South Asian diasporas
- 26:54Speaker 12: large as is as is the actual content within South Asia.
- 27:03Speaker 12: So just thinking about that audience, you know, what does
- 27:07Speaker 12: that look like and what kind of stories can we create?
- 27:09Speaker 12: So excited about that gaming panel, which is going to
- 27:12Speaker 12: include you know, folks from netflixolks from PlayStation EA, potentially Riot,
- 27:20Speaker 12: incredible actors who are now doing multiple games, like Andelie Bimani,
- 27:25Speaker 12: who is going to be moderating. She's I think, got
- 27:29Speaker 12: nine games out here.
- 27:31Speaker 1: That's incredible. That's incredible.
- 27:33Speaker 12: So it's really exciting to kind of see what how
- 27:37Speaker 12: we can create together, you know what that could look like.
- 27:39Speaker 1: So I get the feeling, you know, if you're if
- 27:42Speaker 1: you're a filmmaker, an aspiring filmmaker, or you're really curious
- 27:47Speaker 1: about the film industry. The industry days kind of helped
- 27:51Speaker 1: me connect to the business a little bit more. It
- 27:53Speaker 1: gives me a better idea of how to take my
- 27:55Speaker 1: concept or an idea into fruition. Of course, during the
- 27:59Speaker 1: backdrop of one of the most inspiring weeks in all
- 28:01Speaker 1: of Indian film.
- 28:04Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean exactly. I think what we're looking at
- 28:10Speaker 12: is really bringing in the who's who of the industry
- 28:14Speaker 12: and helping our filmmakers, our content creators really understand, you know,
- 28:21Speaker 12: what does it take to get your product out there?
- 28:24Speaker 12: What kind of products are selling. We've got this incredible
- 28:27Speaker 12: panel on hybrid distribution, because distribution is now you know,
- 28:31Speaker 12: it's not cut and dry. It never was, but it
- 28:33Speaker 12: really isn't today. And so it's about what does it
- 28:37Speaker 12: mean to distribute your products? And there's traditional and not
- 28:42Speaker 12: so traditional methods and now.

- 30:14Speaker 1: Definitely that's the key, and especially with a week like this,
- 30:18Speaker 1: the April twenty third through twenty sixth week here in
- 30:21Speaker 1: Los Angeles, this is like a galvanizing spot for all
- 30:27Speaker 1: of the Indian film South Asian film industry to really
- 30:30Speaker 1: come to here in the diaspora market. And if being
- 30:34Speaker 1: the centerpiece of all this, it's going to be a
- 30:35Speaker 1: very big galvanizing week if you're in this industry, so

- 33:47Speaker 1: As you guys know, we've been paying our respect to
- 33:51Speaker 1: the Great Asha, who, as you know, passed away over
- 33:55Speaker 1: the weekend. And now I wanted to bring in a
- 33:58Speaker 1: dear friend of mine, but Paala Harry into the show
- 34:02Speaker 1: and wanted to get his own personal feelings as to
- 34:04Speaker 1: the news that we all received.
- 34:06Speaker 24: How are you, Bapa, good Sammy, so nice to talk
- 34:09Speaker 24: to you.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Likewise, my brother likewise, first condolences to you and to
- 34:13Speaker 1: the family.
- 34:14Speaker 24: I know this is thank you so much. We have
- 34:18Speaker 24: to Asha Postly was an institution, you know, you know,
- 34:24Speaker 24: she's just not it's just not about just singing, but
- 34:27Speaker 24: someone who's so timeless legacy, you know, inspires everyone. You know,
- 34:32Speaker 24: all generations, seven generations, I think maybe more maybe and this,
- 34:39Speaker 24: you know, from cabarets to guzzas to classical songs, when
- 34:44Speaker 24: she mastered everything right, especially I'm an apist kid, I've
- 34:48Speaker 24: grown up, you know, playback singing for me was Asha Postly,
- 34:53Speaker 24: you know, especially so many collaborations with my dad, you know,
- 34:58Speaker 24: from Razbaki a disco number two, casinos, Gaza number. You know,
- 35:04Speaker 24: she every actresses wanted supposedly you know, to be because
- 35:11Speaker 24: she could literally you could really see a casual dancing
- 35:14Speaker 24: in Kandi Sandia and and then you know, uh to Rata.
- 35:19Speaker 1: You know, she covered it all. She really did, she
- 35:23Speaker 1: covered it all.
- 35:24Speaker 24: You know, Open energy is one of the you know,
- 35:29Speaker 24: you know she she and they both did so many
- 35:32Speaker 24: songs together, are the Burman massive songs you know, which
- 35:38Speaker 24: defined Bollywood music today. And you know this is the
- 35:44Speaker 24: biggest loss. Yeah, you know our industry. And I did
- 35:48Speaker 24: say this, This is the end of that golden era.
- 35:52Speaker 24: She was the last personal life and uh, you know,
- 35:56Speaker 24: this ends that era, that music generation. You know real
- 36:01Speaker 24: but I feel so bad and today you know, it
- 36:04Speaker 24: is heartbreaking. It is, you know, a big loss for
- 36:08Speaker 24: industry of the world.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I think, you know, I think so too, and and
- 36:13Speaker 1: you know, but by you said something really profound there.
- 36:15Speaker 1: And of course you speak of your father's collaboration and
- 36:19Speaker 1: the success of the two of them working together. They
- 36:22Speaker 1: really defined a generation of music together for all of
- 36:26Speaker 1: us growing up. And you know, I was going to
- 36:28Speaker 1: ask you this, this is you know interesting, what would
- 36:31Speaker 1: he say in reflection of her today, if he was
- 36:35Speaker 1: here today, what would he be saying in reflection of
- 36:39Speaker 1: the contribution that she made to music and of course
- 36:42Speaker 1: Indian music.
- 36:44Speaker 24: You know, my dad today he always said this one
- 36:49Speaker 24: saying about the Mangeshka family. There were two people, like
- 36:53Speaker 24: two families in his life that he always said it
- 36:57Speaker 24: made who he was. One was or Komar family, who
- 37:01Speaker 24: he called Mama and so whom he always we and
- 37:07Speaker 24: our entire family, you know, we can for him today
- 37:11Speaker 24: is what lry music is LIGHTI family you know, and
- 37:14Speaker 24: the Mung family from Lata Mangeshkar to us Bosely. It
- 37:18Speaker 24: was more than you know, just singers or collaborated, more
- 37:22Speaker 24: like family. You know, he grew up, you know, he
- 37:26Speaker 24: was so young, he grew up you know, as a
- 37:30Speaker 24: tabla player.
- 37:31Speaker 5: You know, LATAI was.
- 37:32Speaker 24: You know, they were like family friends and and then
- 37:34Speaker 24: he grew up to be a music composer. And then
- 37:36Speaker 24: how they did so many songs. I think Postly and
- 37:40Speaker 24: Dad's songs have been the most highest. Maybe after open
- 37:46Speaker 24: a years they were they had done more songs.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think so too. They're definitely the most
- 37:51Speaker 1: prolific of this generation. These you know far no question.
- 37:55Speaker 24: And it is you know, and I've actually had the
- 38:01Speaker 24: fortunate of working for so many songs together with Ash
- 38:06Speaker 24: as a composer. I was twelve years old and I
- 38:09Speaker 24: did a TV series. It was a it was a
- 38:12Speaker 24: title track. So I was composing for you know, dual
- 38:16Speaker 24: version back then in the Mumbai, and I was looking
- 38:20Speaker 24: for the singer and my dad was like, no, your
- 38:22Speaker 24: first song has to be Asha Bosley. And I was
- 38:26Speaker 24: obviously I do have the picture, I'm.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Trying to find it.
- 38:29Speaker 24: And I recorded her as a composer and then I
- 38:33Speaker 24: did so many Bengali songs albums with her, and I
- 38:37Speaker 24: think like ten years ago we recorded her and I
- 38:40Speaker 24: asked studio and you know it was she is an institution,
- 38:43Speaker 24: you know, even now, you know, I remember once, you know,
- 38:47Speaker 24: we were recording this song for Dad ten years ago
- 38:50Speaker 24: and you know, and she came out and she was
- 38:54Speaker 24: like she came back and she again asked, are you happy, Buffy?
- 38:58Speaker 24: Do you want me to do another? And you're sure,
- 39:02Speaker 24: you know that that is somebody that is you know,
- 39:06Speaker 24: it's not like she sang and she just walked, you
- 39:08Speaker 24: know how people are. That's that was her And we
- 39:12Speaker 24: were like no, wow, like you know, it's so grateful.
- 39:15Speaker 24: But so this would defines somebody like them, you know,
- 39:20Speaker 24: and you know she's going to be a part of
- 39:23Speaker 24: our life. These these people never die, you know, suppose
- 39:28Speaker 24: is going to be alive. My dad I always tell that,
- 39:31Speaker 24: you know, I don't miss him. I go, I'm traveling
- 39:35Speaker 24: on the radio, I heard Dad's.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Ang.
- 39:39Speaker 24: These people make Indinus. They are the music of India.
- 39:43Speaker 24: So you know we should celebrate it, you know. Nonetheless,
- 39:48Speaker 24: you know, we prayed for her soul and the family,
- 39:51Speaker 24: you know, but yeah, this is a big loss, but
- 39:58Speaker 24: she's going to We're going to be alive on us
- 40:00Speaker 24: all the time.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, you know, thank you so much for sharing
- 40:06Speaker 1: all that. And it was beautifully put. And I think
- 40:08Speaker 1: that you know, always refer to your dad in a
- 40:13Speaker 1: very kind way. And she used to say that nobody
- 40:16Speaker 1: made her feel more free in a studio than when
- 40:19Speaker 1: she was working with you know, the great buppy Larry,
- 40:22Speaker 1: and so like I think for the two of them,
- 40:25Speaker 1: and also for her memory, her memory going forward. First
- 40:30Speaker 1: of all, thank you for joining us today, but really,
- 40:32Speaker 1: thank you so much for coming by. And it's an
- 40:34Speaker 1: honor to talk to you. And of course what condolences
- 40:37Speaker 1: to you and to the family over there.
- 40:39Speaker 24: Thank you, Thank you so much. Do you take care of.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Thank you, Papa. Here's the next song. It's Ale Giovanni
- 40:47Speaker 1: John Iman.
- 41:05Speaker 28: Giovanni, gentlemen, has seen a deliverable We late to Diljava,
- 41:10Speaker 28: Miss oh God, Giovanni John has seen a delertle bad

- 45:22Speaker 30: said she.
- 45:25Speaker 7: She got you guessed.
- 45:28Speaker 1: What a classic song right there. I want to give
- 45:30Speaker 1: a big shout out to Bubba Lahiri for stopping by
- 45:34Speaker 1: the show here today. Now is a great time for
- 45:38Speaker 1: us to invite Ruby Bossi to the show. How are
- 45:41Speaker 1: you today, Ruby?
- 45:43Speaker 5: I'm good, Sammy, how are you?
- 45:45Speaker 1: We're doing all right? It's been an interesting Monday. We've been,
- 45:47Speaker 1: of course taking in the news as we get it. Yesterday,
- 45:51Speaker 1: the big news coming out of the music industry, of course,
- 45:54Speaker 1: with Asha both Leggi's passing, and then you know, we're
- 45:57Speaker 1: we're looking across the news today and I'm seeing all
- 46:00Speaker 1: kinds of different stuff going on in places like Brampton. Ruby.
- 46:03Speaker 1: You've got the update on this.
- 46:05Speaker 5: I do. I have an update on this, and I
- 46:07Speaker 5: do have sources that did tell me a lot of information.
- 46:10Speaker 5: There's a Brampton story that I did post out there.
- 46:13Speaker 5: Now what's the you know, what they're showing online is
- 46:15Speaker 5: that there was a person forty six years old out
- 46:18Speaker 5: of Brampton, Ontario that stabbed his mother and his sister.
- 46:22Speaker 5: From what I found out, and there's nowhere out in
- 46:25Speaker 5: the news yet, his name is Sony, forty six years old,
- 46:29Speaker 5: and it was his aunt and his cousin that they
- 46:32Speaker 5: lived with, and he did stab them, and there was
- 46:36Speaker 5: other issues that were going on in the family, so
- 46:38Speaker 5: this could be drug related most likely. He was arrested,
- 46:41Speaker 5: he did leave a scene, he was taken to custody.
- 46:44Speaker 5: But what I have found out, this is not yet
- 46:46Speaker 5: anywhere on the.
- 46:47Speaker 1: News that he is not public information right now, right.
- 46:50Speaker 5: Not public information. And I got this, you know, directly
- 46:52Speaker 5: from a source. A very good friend that grew up
- 46:55Speaker 5: with him, saying that he was a bright kid. You know,
- 46:59Speaker 5: he had a computer and I he was on the
- 47:01Speaker 5: internet back then. Very smart. Only son of the father.
- 47:06Speaker 5: And he was arrested, take into custody and he has
- 47:09Speaker 5: most likely either die from a heart attack or a
- 47:11Speaker 5: drug withdrawal. And I want to really shed light on
- 47:14Speaker 5: mental health. Mental health is a big, big issue, guys.
- 47:19Speaker 5: You know that we don't focus on we don't talk
- 47:21Speaker 5: about these issues, and people end up going you know,
- 47:24Speaker 5: the wrong direction. And with the story, you know, a stabbing,
- 47:27Speaker 5: something happened, he did this. They were in critical condition.
- 47:31Speaker 5: Now they are stable. But it's just very heartbreaking when
- 47:34Speaker 5: I talk to people and they show me that Ruby,
- 47:37Speaker 5: I knew this person. It was a very good kid
- 47:38Speaker 5: and you know, went down the wrong road somehow.
- 47:41Speaker 1: So you know Ruby, it's interesting because you know what
- 47:44Speaker 1: I really wanted to refer to as well, in addition
- 47:46Speaker 1: to the story, is that you know Ruby, You you
- 47:50Speaker 1: actually get contacted quite a bit by people that listen
- 47:54Speaker 1: to your stories and through some sort of proximity to
- 47:56Speaker 1: the story, end up sharing information with you. And that's
- 47:59Speaker 1: an interest line of communication that you've developed out there
- 48:02Speaker 1: with the public I have I have.
- 48:05Speaker 5: It's been happening for a gosha a while now. So
- 48:07Speaker 5: there was another story out of again Toronto area where
- 48:10Speaker 5: the person that is now in custody contacted me as well.
- 48:15Speaker 5: So I get calls from all kinds of people. I
- 48:17Speaker 5: never know who's listening to me. When I put those
- 48:19Speaker 5: alerts out right, FBI is searching for so and so
- 48:22Speaker 5: or Canada wide alert. I get contacted from those people
- 48:25Speaker 5: as well, saying, hey, you know I didn't do this then,
- 48:29Speaker 5: and I can't touch that story any further. But it's
- 48:31Speaker 5: nice to see that people have that trust where they
- 48:34Speaker 5: can send you a message, where they can contact you,
- 48:36Speaker 5: tell you what they know and talk about their feelings.
- 48:39Speaker 5: And that's what we're really lacking right now. You know,
- 48:42Speaker 5: these stories all mean something to me, every single story,
- 48:45Speaker 5: every single post I put out there. It's always to see, Okay,
- 48:48Speaker 5: what have we learned from this? How can I make
- 48:51Speaker 5: a difference?
- 48:51Speaker 1: Guy?
- 48:51Speaker 5: And it's for everybody out there mental help? You know,
- 48:55Speaker 5: people don't ask for help when they need it, Okay,
- 48:58Speaker 5: So mental illness is a big issue and we're really
- 49:00Speaker 5: to your address book.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Ruby, thank you so much for joining us. Thank you
- 49:05Speaker 1: for all that you do. Thank you for getting the
- 49:07Speaker 1: information from our community out there, and thank you so
- 49:11Speaker 1: much for sharing today's information.
- 49:13Speaker 5: Thank you, Sam. It was nice to be here.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I thanks so much. Ruby, And of course check out
- 49:17Speaker 1: Ruby's show every day right here on Ruckus Avenue Radio
- 49:21Speaker 1: at six pm and six am every day on the Signal.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Now let's bring in our own Rihanna to the episode
- 49:29Speaker 1: with today's Diaspora Rising Report.
- 49:32Speaker 31: Hey everyone, this is Randal with the news only on
- 49:34Speaker 31: day Asprey Rising on Darcus Avenue Radio. You're home away
- 49:37Speaker 31: from home. We begin the week with climate forecasting at
- 49:40Speaker 31: home and economic tensions abroad, both carrying major implications for
- 49:43Speaker 31: South Asia. Meteorological agencies have released updated monsoon projections suggesting
- 49:48Speaker 31: uneven rainfall distribution across several Indian states, while overall rainfall
- 49:52Speaker 31: levels may remain near average. Experts one that erratic patterns
- 49:55Speaker 31: including heavier bursts and longer dry spells code effect crop
- 49:59Speaker 31: timing gre stole supports nearly half of India's workforce. Irregular
- 50:03Speaker 31: rainfall impacts food prices, rural income, and export supply chains
- 50:06Speaker 31: or South Asians Worldwide. Monsoon season isn't just weather it's
- 50:09Speaker 31: economic stability, food security, and family livelihoods. Meanwhile, renewed tariff
- 50:13Speaker 31: discussions between the US and China are raising concerns about
- 50:16Speaker 31: another wave of global supply chain distributions. As tensions resurface,
- 50:20Speaker 31: countries like India, Vietnam, and Bangladesh are positioning themselves as
- 50:24Speaker 31: alternative manufacturing hubs. Analysts say this could accelerate China plus
- 50:28Speaker 31: one diversification strategies for South Asian exorders. This moment presents
- 50:32Speaker 31: both opportunity and risk. Weather shapes harvests, trade shapes opportunity.
- 50:36Speaker 31: South Asia sits at the intersection of both horses this week,
- 50:39Speaker 31: But tell us your thoughts all at Rockas Avenue Radio.

- 56:09Speaker 1: people won't mention as they pay homage to her today,
- 56:13Speaker 1: maybe I should kind of say out loud. For a
- 56:16Speaker 1: large part of her career, Asha Bosley was predominantly given
- 56:20Speaker 1: like vamproles and b film assignments in her early career,
- 56:24Speaker 1: while the Great Latta Gie was positioned for prestige films.

- 56:39Speaker 1: it to really know what the facts are. And they
- 56:42Speaker 1: were striking enough on their own. One of the things
- 56:45Speaker 1: that I noted in Asha Boslegi's work was how she
- 56:49Speaker 1: overcame that this is the last song that she left
- 56:53Speaker 1: for Everybody's called the Shadowy Light. The lyrics in here
- 56:57Speaker 1: are quite telling. To collaborate with the gorillas, have a
