- 0:04Let's talk. Hello weirdos, welcome back to
- 0:08episode 19. Oh.
- 0:09My God, 19 episodes. I know, get out of here.
- 0:12I know, right? Let's.
- 0:14Go. It's amazing.
- 0:15So I want to say hello to all of our new TikTok family people.
- 0:19Hello to our YouTube shorts family people, 300 subscribers.
- 0:22It's insane. We love you all welcome.
- 0:25We'll start off with some chaos. Always.
- 0:28I mean what we do here? Right.
- 0:30OK, Pennsylvania's got something going on.
- 0:34Yes. So if you see the guy on my
- 0:36screen, he had 100 skeletal remains in his house.
- 0:43Listen, I'm going to start right off.
- 0:45If any man with a septum ring, do not trust him.
- 0:48Wait. Hold.
- 0:49Let's not, Let's no. I said what I said let's.
- 0:52Not do that. Let's not do.
- 0:53That I didn't say anybody with a septum.
- 0:56Ring don't put that out in the community though, like.
- 0:59Men with septum rings do not. That's not fair.
- 1:04Look, I see that. With the cardi.
- 1:07BI see that? Yeah, literally, I see that, but
- 1:10let's not put that out there. OK, fine, Let's not.
- 1:13He had 100 skeletal over 100. Skeletal remains in his
- 1:19Pennsylvania home, so the whole thing started off.
- 1:22He's 34 years old, by the way. His name is Jonathan.
- 1:24Gerlach, Jonathan. Gerlach, Gerlach, Just so you
- 1:28know, he was arrested on Tuesday after he had recently just did a
- 1:34grave. Robbery.
- 1:36This was so crazy to me because I first heard about this on a
- 1:40TikTok. Same.
- 1:41And so the guy was from Philly and he said that this particular
- 1:46grave site was kind of abandoned, like nobody cut the
- 1:49grass, nobody really. So he was just had free reign.
- 1:52To just do whatever. There was no security guards.
- 1:54No one was like concerned and he was like, OK, bet.
- 1:58So he went in there with his shovel and with his other
- 2:02materials or whatever, and he went and he got body parts, two
- 2:07children, I believe, three skull heads and some assortment of
- 2:11bones or whatever. And they caught him 4K and said
- 2:14you're under arrest. With a backpack full of body
- 2:16parts with. Body parts.
- 2:18And then after that he said, Oh yeah, for sure.
- 2:20I, I robbed these graves. And he proceeded to go and show
- 2:23the which graves he robbed. Some of them were like 200 years
- 2:27old, but then. Some of them were like infants.
- 2:29I know I don't. So when it first came out, we
- 2:32were just like, why, why, Why was you?
- 2:34Know what I mean? Turns out there's a Facebook
- 2:37group in which he was selling these body parts.
- 2:41I can't. First off, how is there a
- 2:43Facebook group in which you're? Selling group for everything.
- 2:46Apparently you know 'cause he was holding a skull in one of
- 2:50the pictures he was tagged in. He's.
- 2:52Out of here. You know, like when you want to
- 2:54take a picture or something, you get like the little low angle,
- 2:57you know, and you're like, here's my skull, who wants to?
- 3:00Purchase a skull. Jonathan.
- 3:02Jonathan. Insanity.
- 3:06So there was. Apparently a sting with the cops
- 3:10because there was a string of grave robberies and they thought
- 3:13it was just like theft at 1st and then when they found him
- 3:17they were like, oh OK, let's follow this guy.
- 3:19Middle of the night crowbar and he has body parts.
- 3:22Yeah. So I don't think they even
- 3:24anticipated what they. Found like the magnitude of it?
- 3:27Absolutely not. They suspected him because his
- 3:30car and his phone ping the cell towers around the area, and his
- 3:34car was found in the same areas in the time of the robbery.
- 3:37So they're like, we're thinking maybe he's just being a jerk.
- 3:41Yeah, no, he's not being a jerk. Like what?
- 3:44Is this even called? I don't, yeah.
- 3:46What do we call this? Because OK, little aside, 'cause
- 3:48I love taking aside. So several years ago when I was
- 3:51on TikTok, there was this male OBGYN who was complaining that
- 3:57women don't want to see male gynecologist and they're stupid
- 4:00and blah blah blah blah blah. He was the main character,
- 4:03whatever. But in the comments section it
- 4:05turned into all these people talking about certain
- 4:07professions that they don't want men working in because of.
- 4:12I mean, what people? Do and a mortician was one of
- 4:17them and. How?
- 4:19Wait, sorry, that's that's so dark.
- 4:22Yes, that is so dark. Fill in the blanks there because
- 4:27they are doing things to the bodies.
- 4:29What are you doing? Sexual stuff.
- 4:33OK. I can't.
- 4:35I can't. But I bring that up because when
- 4:37I first heard the story, I was like, is he a necrophiliac?
- 4:40Like, does he have this problem? But, but there wasn't, there
- 4:43wasn't. But like there was no skin.
- 4:45Like he was taking bones and I so I did and like not even whole
- 4:50bodies, pieces of it. And I read in the article that
- 4:53sometimes it was like, 'cause he had like heads displayed in his
- 4:56house skulls, and then sometimes he was putting pieces of
- 5:00different bodies together to like make new bodies.
- 5:02To make a little little sun such hanging up.
- 5:06The creepiest thing that I saw was that he had a torso strung
- 5:10up in his basement. That was actually one of the
- 5:13tip. It was an anonymous tip, someone
- 5:15said. What you say I believe he lived
- 5:19alone. Lived alone because to have a
- 5:21torso in your basement and no one noticed but I think someone
- 5:23just. Displayed in your home.
- 5:25I you know what I mean? You know what I mean?
- 5:28Creepy. But that was one of the
- 5:29anonymous with tips that, like someone provided and said, you
- 5:32should go check out this guy's home.
- 5:34Wait. Did they go in the home or did
- 5:36they just? Walk by.
- 5:37Yeah, like what? You were smart to, yeah.
- 5:40You just stay away from the house, OK?
- 5:42Call them. OK, like it's insanity.
- 5:45It was creepy. I hate the idea of that cause
- 5:48what are you doing? You're selling some of it.
- 5:51Also, mind you, he had a storage facility in which he stored more
- 5:55bones. Yes, it wasn't just in his
- 5:57house. What?
- 5:57You run out of space, I God. This is just so dark.
- 6:02How like and I can't imagine being the family of like one of
- 6:07these bodies that was just desecrated like.
- 6:09You know what I mean and how? Long is it going to take the
- 6:11Police Department and whoever they called to do CSI.
- 6:14Like you know, to try to figure out.
- 6:16Who, how many bodies, how many different, who the people are
- 6:20and track down their families, if they're even still around.
- 6:23I mean 200 year old bones, they could have been the end of the
- 6:27of the bloodline. Like that's so dark.
- 6:34I'm just saying it's. All so dark.
- 6:36It's really, really dark. Yeah, and this man just took it
- 6:39upon himself to desecrate these graves.
- 6:44I don't know why. It doesn't make any sense.
- 6:47There's no evidence of him being a necrophilia like I There's,
- 6:53there's none of that. You know what I mean, people?
- 6:54They didn't say that. People who knew him said he
- 6:57seemed normal, but they always say that.
- 6:59Don't they always say that? Perfectly normal family Wifey
- 7:03Dahmer. Was the perfect neighbor so
- 7:06don't get so don't talk to me so don't talk to me so he didn't
- 7:09kill these people, but he is doing this is a crime.
- 7:12This is worse this. I don't.
- 7:14Not worse. Sorry, not worse, but.
- 7:17Isn't. The act of getting them there is
- 7:21horrible, yeah. And like, apparently he was just
- 7:23so calm and like, whatever about it.
- 7:25And so I just, I'm like, this was the way you were making
- 7:28money. I don't understand, you know
- 7:31what I mean? And the Facebook group.
- 7:33We should track down everyone who's in the Facebook group too.
- 7:36I hope they started that process please.
- 7:38You know what I mean? Because he was he the only
- 7:40person. No way.
- 7:42Group and there's buying and selling body parts.
- 7:45No way. We need more sting operations,
- 7:47I'm saying. You know what I mean.
- 7:50Creepy. OK, I know.
- 7:52So this is this is reminding me of something.
- 7:54Yes, the mortician. Yeah.
- 7:57All right. Did y'all watch the mortician?
- 8:01OK. I don't even care if you watch
- 8:03it or not. If you have an HBO Max
- 8:05subscription and you have free time, go and watch the stocky
- 8:09series. Oh my God, it's a 3 parter.
- 8:13OK. And when I tell you, we were
- 8:16like focused, we were. We weren't leaving off the couch
- 8:19and nobody was. Getting snacks matter.
- 8:22It was. Oh my God.
- 8:23So this guy is, he is part of a family who runs a mortise, like
- 8:29a Mortuary. Yeah.
- 8:30And they have a crematorium on some property, which first of
- 8:35all in Pasadena. In Pasadena.
- 8:40Yes. Her dad, my husband grew up
- 8:43there. This is it's very close to home.
- 8:46In the 80s too, so. Perfect timing.
- 8:48OK. So he is starting his own
- 8:51business. His family said you run the
- 8:52crematorium and handle that part of our business.
- 8:56And so he starts undercutting all of the morticians in the
- 9:01area who also have crematoriums. There's not a whole lot of them
- 9:04because actually doing this cremation was getting, it was
- 9:07new. It was like a new thing to do
- 9:09because burial was so expensive, right?
- 9:11So he starts under. So let's say they charge $500 to
- 9:15do this. He was like, well, I got you at
- 9:172:50 and he's running around and none of the morticians can
- 9:20figure out how. He, I mean, he's like with
- 9:23efficiency and he's not just staying in Pasadena or the
- 9:26surrounding neighborhoods. He going all the way up north to
- 9:29go pick up some bodies. Exactly.
- 9:31People like efficiency, yes, And so come to find out that instead
- 9:36of putting one body at a time in the oven.
- 9:41Don't call it an oven. What's it?
- 9:43Called, I don't know, it's an oven.
- 9:45Instead of 1 body at a time, he is shoving 456 as many as he can
- 9:50get in there and burning them all, putting him into a big
- 9:53dumpster like a trash can with a ice cream scooper and just
- 9:57scooping it. If you you want him in the urn,
- 9:59here you go. It's an urn in the box you got.
- 10:02Your loved 1 and 10 other people up in that urn.
- 10:05Oh my God, what? What I could not believe because
- 10:11it just gets worse. OK, this is just the beginning.
- 10:12Just. The beginning.
- 10:14So he's burning all these bodies and we're trying to figure out
- 10:18how. And like I said, everybody's
- 10:19trying to figure out how. He's undercutting all that
- 10:21stuff. He is cutting costs.
- 10:23He's buying these paper, these little boxes, going to pick up
- 10:27the bodies. He's sending these football
- 10:29players that he knew from college to go pick up bodies all
- 10:32around the place. The truck is not cold.
- 10:37I know just and and you know, the California heat, they just.
- 10:41They're in the valley, OK, just baking bodies all in there.
- 10:45He hires a meth head. Oh.
- 10:48I forgot about that, yeah. To do the cooking, OK, And then
- 10:53he goes off to go smoke meth one night after he stuffed a bunch
- 10:56of bodies in there and the crematorium catches fire.
- 11:00I mean my one question is did he try to scoop the ashes after the
- 11:06fire in the Oh my. God, he's like, hey, they
- 11:09already burnt, you know? I know that's dark, but it's
- 11:12like. I.
- 11:16It's crazy. So after it burns down, they're
- 11:19like, well, we can't stop this or this operation, OK, we making
- 11:22money, right? So then they go to the high
- 11:24desert and just pick up a place that was like a like a bakery or
- 11:29something. It was just a huge warehouse
- 11:31that just abandoned regular ovens.
- 11:35And they start doing it there and that's when they messed up
- 11:37because first of all, it's not zoned for that.
- 11:40I mean, Pasadena, it wasn't zoned for what he was doing
- 11:43because according to my husband, the air quality was terrible.
- 11:45So I think anybody who grew up in the 80s in Pasadena got bad
- 11:47bodies all in their lungs. What?
- 11:49OK, just breathing bodies. No.
- 11:57But he goes up there and there's like liquid oozing, oozing out.
- 12:02People could smell it, they can see the smoke coming up because
- 12:07these ovens are bigger than the ones that were in.
- 12:10The past, it was so. He's like, stuff them in there.
- 12:14Oh my. So that's how they get caught
- 12:17and then come to find out, because this whole time they're
- 12:20telling the story as if he is the bad apple in the family,
- 12:24right? So now we find out that this is
- 12:27actually something that the family would have approved.
- 12:30It's a family thing. Because they weren't just
- 12:33burning a bunch of bodies at a time.
- 12:34They were stealing eyeballs. They were taking gold teeth.
- 12:38Yeah, that organs. Organs.
- 12:40They were harvesting it and selling them.
- 12:43OK, they said. We're going to get everything
- 12:46out of this. Person, literally everything,
- 12:47and they were breaking people's bones when they were putting him
- 12:51in there so they could fit his. Man false, mad, disrespectful to
- 12:54people's families. Desecration to this body and I
- 12:57just I was so shocked and he was so nonchalant about.
- 13:02His interviews, he was like, yeah, did that.
- 13:03And that happened like he was at working at Subway, and he found
- 13:06a way to officiously make a sandwich.
- 13:08It's like, no, you're burning bodies.
- 13:10This. Is different this?
- 13:11Is different. And the only time he showed
- 13:13emotion was when they talked about his grandfather passing
- 13:16away and that was like the only death that meant anything.
- 13:18But also. Hypocrite because the episode
- 13:21before he was talking about people having to let go of their
- 13:25families. He's like their bodies don't
- 13:26matter they're dead already. And then he talks about his
- 13:29grandfather dying and. You would have thought he died
- 13:32yesterday, yeah. It's like you still care because
- 13:35that's your family member. You care what happens to them.
- 13:38Afterwards. Exactly.
- 13:40They trusted. You that's handled their family
- 13:43member with care and get them back to them safely without
- 13:48other random strangers in the same bottle.
- 13:51And then without desiccating their body, with pulling out all
- 13:53their organs and their you know what?
- 13:54I mean so this is mad disrespectful and people will
- 13:59never know. No, that there was that poor
- 14:01lady who was carrying around the little tea box and she would
- 14:04like it was all rubbed down 'cause she rubs it and she just
- 14:06knew it was her daddy. She didn't know who was in
- 14:08there. Who.
- 14:08Was in there I. Don't know.
- 14:12All of this is terrible. Oh, can we please talk about the
- 14:15fact that he hired a hit? Oh, do you remember that?
- 14:18Yes. On top of all of this insanity,
- 14:22he decided that he was going to hire a hit on his rival
- 14:27competitor. Yep.
- 14:28And then for another guy who threatened to expose his
- 14:32secrets, he found out everything that they're doing.
- 14:34He poisoned him. Yes, they say allegedly, but I
- 14:38must say he poison. Did that.
- 14:40He did that shit. He did that.
- 14:42OK, I mean. Come on, you know what I mean.
- 14:47So I know we're like, go watch it and we just told you
- 14:49everything, but seriously, go watch it.
- 14:51Like it's really good like. Go watch it because we didn't
- 14:54tell it with efficiency like. You'll still be surprised you.
- 14:59OK, because also we can't imitate the way he was telling
- 15:02the story and his him answering the questions and his wife and
- 15:07his kid and. There's so many mom, everybody
- 15:11who was so in love with his mom and and how she was just such an
- 15:14Angel, but she was the she was the ringleader and all this.
- 15:17Like. OK, and she's still around too.
- 15:20Still kicking? Yeah.
- 15:21Yeah, they had that. Picture she living like in the
- 15:24hood somewhere. Look at Jackie and shit.
- 15:29Look. At Jackie, it's like, yeah,
- 15:32karma gonna come. After you it is a bitch.
- 15:34OK, I hope she's getting haunted.
- 15:36OK, and I say that by my chest because the nerve of you to do
- 15:40these two, the audacity, OK, this family, but.
- 15:43Oh, his name was David Skonce. I made sure I wrote that to him.
- 15:45Please David Skonce. And it was the Lamb Family
- 15:50Mortuary in Pasadena. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:53Go look it up like I'm sure you'll.
- 15:54Be able to find. All sorts of like crazy things,
- 15:58but insanity. Please go watch it.
- 16:01It was insane. But we are on the topic of
- 16:03Pasadena and it is January 11th, the day that we're filming this,
- 16:07but January 12th when it comes out.
- 16:09A year ago, California literally was on fire.
- 16:13And I want to talk about the Palisades fire, but also the
- 16:16Eaton fire because let's not forget two sides of Southern
- 16:20California were burning at the same time.
- 16:22The Eaton fire claimed 19 lives and the Palisades fire 12 lives.
- 16:28Very sad. Yeah, I mean.
- 16:30A lot of people lost their homes, their.
- 16:32Homes their, their everything. People lost lives and and pets
- 16:36and, yeah, you know, homes that were in their their family for
- 16:39generations. Generations.
- 16:41You know, it's like it was devastating.
- 16:44And I don't know anybody who lives here who didn't know
- 16:47somebody. You know, affected by this.
- 16:49So it was a big deal and it happened a year ago and it's
- 16:53still very like. Yeah, you know the guy who was
- 16:57arrested for the Palisades fire, He is going on to trial in
- 17:01April, April. April 21st, I believe.
- 17:03Yeah. So a former Uber driver,
- 17:08apparently, allegedly, they love throwing allegedly around, like
- 17:13if we know, we know. But anyway, allegedly started
- 17:16the fire, the Palisades fire, and he's going on trial later
- 17:20this year. So that's that.
- 17:23Man, my heart still goes out to people because I know two people
- 17:26personally. And I mean, it's just like, what
- 17:28do you, what do you do? Where do you go?
- 17:30Where do you? Go.
- 17:31You lost everything so. Yeah, yeah.
- 17:35All right. So you know how we like to end
- 17:37these. Y'all story time.
- 17:39Sit back, grab your tea, let's hit it.
- 17:42All right, today is an Am I overreacting?
- 17:44Oh please. OK so this one I feel like is
- 17:47rage bait. I'm not ready, get ready.
- 17:50I'm easily rage baited. I feel like I'm just like I was.
- 17:53Reading it I was like what the like all right, Am I
- 17:58overreacting or is it normal to use soap in the bathroom?
- 18:04Yeah. What?
- 18:07Why are you? Asking this question right now,
- 18:09yes. OK I feel ridiculous even asking
- 18:13this but I honestly don't know if I'm missing something or
- 18:15being gaslit. I'm a black woman and my
- 18:18boyfriend is white. And say it again, I'm a black
- 18:24woman and my boyfriend is white. I don't I why does your
- 18:30boyfriend use SO? This is the first white man I've
- 18:35ever dated, which is relevant because I keep wondering if I'm
- 18:38misunderstanding something cultural.
- 18:41My boyfriend does not regularly use soap when he showers.
- 18:46He says he rinses with water and that soap is optional unless
- 18:50you're visibly dirty. Question What are we?
- 18:54Doing How did you make it to adulthood?
- 18:57I'm saying you rinse with water. What?
- 18:59What are you cleaning? You just rubbing it around.
- 19:02Itchy just thinking about that you.
- 19:03Just smear what around? It gets worse.
- 19:07He will sometimes use shampoo, but body soap is inconsistent at
- 19:10best. He also doesn't always use soap
- 19:13when washing his hands in the bathroom and says hot water is
- 19:15enough. What evidence do you have to
- 19:20support this claim? I don't understand.
- 19:22Pull out the magnifying glass. Oh, you know, he's got worms
- 19:26under his nails. When I brought this up, he told
- 19:29me that I'm overreacting and that this is a white people
- 19:33thing and that I'm judging him through my own cultural lens.
- 19:37He said growing up, his family didn't obsess over SOAP the way
- 19:40mine did, and that my expectations are based on how I
- 19:43was raised, not on what's medically necessary.
- 19:48What are you talking about? He said different ethnic groups
- 19:52get dirtier at different rates, so he does not need so often as
- 19:56I do. Oh, he said that.
- 19:57What are you saying? He said it.
- 19:58Are you? Saying he said that, are you
- 20:01saying he said we get dirtier faster?
- 20:03That is a lie. Why are you with this?
- 20:09Where this really threw me I I'm.
- 20:13My blood pressure is. I'm hot, I'm getting hot.
- 20:16OK. In my family and community, soap
- 20:18is not optional. You shower daily, you use soap,
- 20:22you wash your hands properly, you use a bar of soap to wash
- 20:25your ass. It's basic hygiene.
- 20:29I've never had to explain this to an adult partner before.
- 20:33The problem is that it affects shared spaces.
- 20:36Our towels smell. Our sheets smell faster than
- 20:39they should. I question his bathroom and back
- 20:41door hygiene because sometimes there is a poop smell when we
- 20:45are intimate. Get the fuck out of here.
- 20:49No, no, he insists. I am an I am imagining it
- 20:55because black people are too uptight about using soap all the
- 20:58time and using washcloths. Oh, but apparently we.
- 21:02Oh. He even makes fun of me for
- 21:05using washcloths. Exclamation point.
- 21:08I've had to rewash laundry because things don't feel clean.
- 21:11I feel uncomfortable inviting people over because I'm worried
- 21:14the house smells off, even if he insists I'm imagining it.
- 21:18When I push back, he says I'm being judgmental and culturally
- 21:21insensitive and then I need to stop projecting my standards
- 21:25onto him. He says if I really understood
- 21:28him, I'd realize this is a is this normal where he comes from?
- 21:31And then I'm making it into a bigger issue than it needs to
- 21:34be. Now I'm stuck questioning
- 21:36myself. I don't know why, I don't know.
- 21:38Why you questioning yourself? You know what's up, actually.
- 21:41Yeah, why haven't you left him? You live with this nasty.
- 21:45What you mean so sort of smell? When you're intimate, I'm not
- 21:49even done. Hold on, let me finish.
- 21:54But what kind of the intimacy you're down there?
- 21:58You. Why are you down there smelling
- 21:59shit? Why?
- 22:01Do you stay out like? I'm questioning her.
- 22:06All right, let me finish this paragraph.
- 22:08Now I'm stuck questioning myself.
- 22:10Is this actually a cultural difference I should be more open
- 22:13minded about? Or is this just bad hygiene
- 22:16being dressed up as something deeper?
- 22:18I don't want to be ignorant or unfair, but I also don't want to
- 22:21live like this. I feel like his bad hygiene is
- 22:24negatively impacting my life and I don't have any white female
- 22:27friends to ask. You don't.
- 22:29Am I overreacting for being bothered by this or is it
- 22:32reasonable to expect SOAP to be non negotiable in a shared home?
- 22:36It is non negotiable. What are we talking about?
- 22:42This entire room is losing. That's fucking mine, what are
- 22:45you talking about? I don't know what to say.
- 22:51It is non negotiable. I feel dirty just thinking about
- 22:57the fact I'm touching you and I have to.
- 23:01See visible. Dirt on your body.
- 23:03Boo Boo chips and everyone. Just leaving it behind.
- 23:07Just chips, chips everywhere. No, you are not overreacting.
- 23:11You are under. Reacting Get out get.
- 23:14Out why are you still living with him?
- 23:17What are you talking about? And the nerve you to say that
- 23:20some people get more dirty. What are you?
- 23:24Talking about get. About of there.
- 23:26What are you? He doesn't even like you.
- 23:28I don't. OK, my question is, is that
- 23:31where where the black babe come from?
- 23:33The black blank? Where did they come from?
- 23:35The Black Flag. Where all of the.
- 23:38Blank. From dirty ass.
- 23:39OK, so good morning. We need all.
- 23:42Our white friends. Exactly.
- 23:48Exactly, please, white friends. And no, it is not a cultural
- 23:52thing. It's a whether or not you want
- 23:54to be clean thing or not. It has nothing to do with.
- 23:57Anything else I need y'all to stand up for yourselves, OK?
- 24:00Because he's speaking for your entire culture.
- 24:02And y'all need to say something this is not.
- 24:04OK, this is unacceptable. Dirty ass.
- 24:10Oh my gosh, this is insanity. I actually don't know what to
- 24:15say. I told you it was rage bait.
- 24:17I warned you. I like I it's hot.
- 24:19But I'm not. I'm getting, I'm getting sweaty.
- 24:21I can't. Let's let's cut this back.
