Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein And Those At The Very Top Of The Modeling Industry (6/5/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. I don't think I'm telling you folks anything
0:07
new when I tell you that the modeling world is
0:10
filled with a bunch of ced disgusting people. And it's
0:15
not just men. You have people like Faith Kates who
0:19
knew exactly what Epstein was and simply didn't care. I mean,
0:25
after the allegations from Virginia first came out, Faith Kates
0:29
was still advising Jeffrey Epstein on what he should do,
0:33
how he should move, who he should talk to, what
0:36
sort of events he should go to, and the kind
0:40
of donations that he should be making to insulate himself
0:43
from the allegations that are being made. And this comes
0:47
on top of what we already knew from two thousand
0:50
and nine. So keep that in mind when Faith Kate
0:53
says she has no idea what Jeffrey Epstein was, because
0:57
in my opinion, not only did she know what Jeffrey
0:59
Epstein wan was, she helped enable them. Today we have
1:04
an article from the Guardian and the headline Faith Kates
1:08
the woman who introduced models to dear friend Jeffrey Epstein.
1:12
This article was authored by Lucy Osborne, a female executive
1:18
at the top of the modeling industry, had a close
1:21
friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and introduced him to women on
1:24
the agency's books. A Guardian investigation has found so not
1:29
only was she introducing him to women, she was introducing
1:32
him to women that were working for her, women that
1:36
were part of her agency, and women that she obviously
1:39
had a responsibility to. But that didn't matter to Faith Kates.
1:43
Did it as long as her buddy, good old Jeffy
1:47
is having a great time and he's meeting new women
1:49
who cares about all these other girls who were abused,
1:52
who are their lives ruined to somebody like Faith Kates,
1:56
That doesn't matter. Until last November, Faith Kates ran Next
2:02
Management Modeling in Talent Agency, which is represented the likes
2:06
of Alexa Chung, Mila Djoviovic, and Billie Eilish, a position
2:12
that she held for decades as founder of the business.
2:15
She stepped down quietly just weeks before the first major
2:19
Epstein files were released, saying she intended to focus on
2:23
charity work. Oh that's always the excuse. Did you see
2:27
the charity work that I did for so and so,
2:30
I help so and so over here, and that means
2:32
that I'm a good person, right, No, it doesn't mean
2:35
you're a good person. All it means is that you
2:37
know that that strategy has worked throughout the history, and
2:40
you're going to try and employ it as well. But
2:42
I think that people are a hip to that sort
2:44
of nonsense these days, and they know that these kind
2:46
of rich people are always trying to drape themselves in
2:50
armor made out of charitable giving. Links between Kates and
2:57
the late sex offender have previously been reported, but analysis
3:01
of documents published by the US Department of Justice reveals
3:04
a much deeper relationship than previously known, with emails showing
3:09
Kate's secretly took business advice from Epstein and discussed multimillion
3:13
dollar loans. And if you notice, that's an ongoing theme
3:17
when it comes to all these people in Jeffrey Epstein,
3:20
they all wanted something from them, and they were willing
3:22
to look the other way in order to achieve their goals.
3:25
And that's why I find it so laughable when they
3:28
come out after the fact and act like they had
3:30
no idea who Epstein was, what he was doing, or
3:34
the fact that he was an absolute sick degenerate. They
3:37
all knew, they just didn't care. Kates appears to have
3:42
met Epstein regularly, including on one occasion with the then
3:46
Prince Andrew at a New York department store in December
3:49
of twenty ten, the week of Andrew mount Batten Winsors
3:53
now infamous visit to the city to supposedly call off
3:56
his friendship with a financier. Oh yeah, yeah, we know,
4:00
that's exactly why he went to New York. What you
4:04
wouldn't fly across the Atlantic to go and tell some
4:06
child molester you couldn't be his friend anymore. Come on,
4:11
don't you have any honor? Don't you have any kind
4:14
of compassion for a guy like Jeffrey Epstein. Well that's
4:19
what Prince Andrew wants us to believe. That he flew
4:22
all the way across the Atlantic because he no longer
4:25
wanted to be friends with Jeffrey Epstein, but he just
4:28
decided to stick around for a few days and sleep
4:31
on old boys couch. Kate's sixty eight offered her support
4:36
and unconditional friendship. After Epstein was first convicted for soliciting
4:40
a child for prostitution in two thousand and nine, she
4:45
was still sending friendly emails weeks before he was arrested
4:48
again in twenty nineteen. More troubling is that, across their
4:54
nearly forty year relationship, it seems Kate's connected a number
4:57
of her models with Epstein, raised serious questions for the
5:01
woman who has been responsible for the careers and ultimately
5:05
the welfare of thousands of young women. There's no evidence
5:08
to suggest that Kate's was aware of Epstein's offending prior
5:12
to his two thousand and nine conviction. Okay, no evidence,
5:16
no smoking gun, But I don't think it's that big
5:19
of a leap to think that all these people that
5:21
were around him knew what he was doing. And you're
5:24
gonna have a real hard time convincing me otherwise. The
5:29
revelations prompted Next, which until now is not commented on
5:33
its founder's relationship with the sex offender, to thoroughly distance
5:37
itself from her. In a statement to the Guardian, a
5:40
spokesperson said the company was working to end all legal
5:43
ties with Kates, and that her relationship with Epstein was
5:47
completely and absolutely unknown to Next management and its top executives.
5:53
We had no idea. We all have Epstein amnesia. Jeffrey Epstein.
5:58
Who's that never heard of the guy? It's always the
6:02
same nonsense, always the same line, always the same playbook,
6:05
and it's always met with the same response, Oh well,
6:08
they didn't know. Come on, how's anyone supposed to know. Meanwhile,
6:13
everybody knew, including people working at airports, people that lived
6:17
around Jeffrey Epstein, and certainly people that were at parties
6:21
with them. A spokesperson for Kate's said that she never
6:26
put a model in harm's way by sending them to
6:28
an inappropriate go sees or meetings, adding Epstein was a
6:33
master manipulator. People around him knew only what he wanted
6:37
them to know. Oh, that's the new narrative. Have you
6:40
noticed that everybody is calling him a master and manipulator
6:43
all of a sudden. Let me translate that for you.
6:46
Master manipulator means somebody I wanted money from and somebody
6:51
I got money from. And now that he's dead and
6:55
that people are asking questions about our relationship, I'll just
6:59
say that I got manipula. He's not alive to argue
7:02
the point. He's not alive to say that that's not true.
7:06
So that's going to be the narrative, and you see
7:11
that becoming a big talking point for a lot of
7:14
these people. Oh, he manipulated me, he was the world's
7:17
greatest manipulator. Or was it that you were just greedy?
7:23
There are more than five thousand mentions of Kate's in
7:26
the files, although some are duplicates. The emails between the
7:29
two are frequent. The messages are often effusive in tone,
7:33
with Kate's regularly telling Epstein how good of a friend
7:37
he was, at one point telling him I really do
7:39
love you like a brother. One of the first emails
7:43
in the file was sent while Epstein was in prison
7:46
for a soliciting prostitution from a minor. Kate's wrote, I
7:50
am and will always be your friend, unconditionally, will always
7:54
be there for you. Yo. Can you imagine somebody that
7:58
gets arrested for what Epstein was rested for, somebody that's
8:01
accused of what Epstein's accused of, and that's the message
8:05
you send them. Epstein's interest in the modeling industry is
8:08
demonstrated in the discussions between the two. In his diary
8:13
shows him schedule to meet Kate several times at the
8:16
company's New York office during the twenty Tens. Kates began
8:20
connecting Epstein the Next models years earlier. According to interviews,
8:24
by the nineties, the industry had developed a practice of
8:28
introducing models to businessmen unconnected to the fashion world. Oh,
8:32
I wonder why. I'm sure it was for conversation, right,
8:35
I'm sure it had nothing to do with a bunch
8:37
of disgusting, degenerate old men trying to get their grubby
8:40
paws on young women. I'm sure that had zero to
8:43
do with it. Huh. It was at one such dinner
8:47
organized by Kate's in ninety two that Stacy Williams remembered
8:51
being introduced to Epstein. Williams, then one of NeXT's top models,
8:56
said that about three months later, she was taken by
8:59
Kates to a party hosted by Donald Trump at the
9:01
Plaza Hotel, where she met Epstein again. Williams went on
9:06
to have a relationship with Epstein. She said it was consensual,
9:10
but that some of the events that took place within
9:12
the confines of the relationship were not, including when she
9:16
alleged she was groped by Trump and what she believed
9:19
was part of a twisted game between the two men.
9:22
The president has denied the allegations. I mean, at some
9:25
point we have to say to ourselves, is everybody just
9:28
lying or is it true that Donald Trump is just
9:32
a degenerate? And considering the body of evidence that we have,
9:35
I'm gonna go with Donald Trump's to degenerate. More than
9:39
a decade later, Kate's allegedly arranged for another of her
9:42
top models, Barbara Stoyanov, to meet Epstein. Stoy enough was
9:47
already working for Victoria's Secret as a lingerie model, but
9:51
her dream was to become a Victoria's Secret Angel, one
9:54
of the official faces of the company. Stoyanov told The
9:58
Guardian that Kate suggest at Epstein could help, and that
10:02
she later met him a next office in New York.
10:05
He told me to stand up and woke my dress
10:08
up to see my legs. Then he asked me to
10:10
lift my dress from behind to see how my butt was.
10:14
She said, it's like buying a horse. I have zero
10:18
idea why anybody will let their child get involved in modeling.
10:22
It is unbelievably disgusting. The whole industry is just gross.
10:29
At the time, she said she thought nothing of the request.
10:33
It was normal for a lingerie brand, because it was
10:35
normal for a lingerie brand to want to see a
10:38
model's body. Years later, when she saw Epstein news coverage,
10:42
she felt disgusted. A spokesperson for Kate's said the meeting
10:46
never happened and added her supposed interview with Epstein in
10:50
the middle of Next class enclosed offices is not credible.
10:53
On its face. She's not credible, but Kates is sorry.
10:58
I don't believe that. Listen, anybody who was paling around
11:03
with Epstein for all those years, anybody that was sending
11:07
emails to Epstein like that, I don't believe them. And
11:10
I believe that they know a lot more than they're
11:12
letting on. And they're lucky that I'm not the prosecutor,
11:16
because I charge everybody with rico and then I'd let
11:18
the chips fall where they may, you know, like they
11:21
do to the rest of us. God forbid you get
11:23
involved in some kind of quote unquote illegal gambling. Oh,
11:26
they're gonna come kick in your door. But if you're
11:28
faith Kate's setting young girls up with Epstein, no big deal.
11:32
Come on, there's no evidence for that. Over the next
11:36
years that followed, Stoyanoff, who was signed to Next for
11:39
about fifteen years, said she saw Epstein with Kates numerous
11:43
times at their offices. In around May of two thousand
11:47
and four, Kate's allegedly sent former Next model seeing a Chech,
11:51
then twenty, to Epstein's New York home to ask if
11:54
he would help her travel to fashion shoots in his
11:56
private jet. Chech remembers she wrote his address on a
12:01
yellow post it note, how could you send people, young
12:05
girls to Jeffrey Epstein? It is just unconscionable. After Chech arrived,
12:11
she said that he asked to look at her hands.
12:13
She recalled that he then said, ugh, your nails are
12:17
so dirty. You're not the kind of girl we take
12:19
on the jet. She said. She left in tears, and
12:22
it wasn't until years later that she realized the man
12:25
who insulted her was Epstein. It was like a brick
12:28
in my stomach realizing I dodged a bullet, she said.
12:32
Sarah az If, a former Next Model who now runs
12:35
Model Alliance, which campaigns against systemic sexual abuse in the
12:39
fashion industry, wasn't sent to Abstein by Kate's, However, she
12:44
said she believed Kates or someone else at the agency
12:48
gave him her home address. In two thousand or two
12:50
thousand and one, when she was eighteen or nineteen. She
12:54
had previously been introduced to Abstein by a fellow model
12:57
and recalled him taking an interest in her school. Later,
13:01
she received a letter from him that said, Sarah, there
13:04
are great writing courses at the new school my treat
13:08
Zif said she believed Epstein was offering to pay for
13:11
her education at this New York school. She didn't take
13:14
them up on the offer, later earning degrees from Harvard
13:17
and Columbia. I know that the model who invited me
13:22
to meet Epstein did not have my address, Ziff told
13:25
The Guardian. I do know that Next had that address
13:29
on file. None of the models the Guardian interviewed alleged
13:32
that they were abused by Epstein. Too high profile, he
13:36
knew better. What he was looking to do is bring
13:40
girls in to the inner circle, new recruiters, new people
13:44
to be part of his sexual Ponzi scheme. That's what
13:46
he was looking for because at this point, remember Epstein
13:51
was already bringing girls in from Europe. We're talking about
13:55
vulnerable girls here, Brazil, Europe, etc. So that was his
14:00
mo at that time. An NEXT spokesperson said, at all
14:04
times conducted its operations with integrity and with the highest
14:07
regard for the safety of all of our models. Emails
14:11
in the DOJ files suggests that Kate's continued to connect
14:14
models to Epstein during the twenty tens, even after his
14:18
first prison sentence, and that you would meet women at
14:21
Epstein's request or connect them to other agents. In twenty eleven,
14:25
Epstein email Kates a numbered list of three women's names.
14:29
A few hours later, Kate responded, I can get two.
14:33
That's what you asked for asked me for. Standby. I
14:37
can get two. That's what you asked me for. Standby
14:39
two for what faith? Kates. That same year, Epstein appears
14:44
to ask his assistant to get names of girls from
14:47
Kate's for a gala event dinner, and he email Kates
14:52
asking if she had any aspiring actresses for dinner with
14:55
the Hollywood director Woody Allen another fantastic guy. Huh, let
15:01
me just have relations with my stepdaughter. In twenty seventeen,
15:08
they discussed a former Next model who is now an
15:11
established internet personality. Kate's described her as stunning and sent
15:16
them her bust, height, and weight measurements, along with what
15:19
appears to be a number of photographs of her, which
15:22
are redacted in the files. That same year, they discussed
15:26
another model who did not realize her name was in
15:29
the files until she was contacted by the Guardian. The model,
15:33
who was still represented by Next and did not want
15:36
to be named, said, I felt shocked and grossed out, Like,
15:40
why's the biggest predator of our time typing out my name?
15:43
What was this for? Imagine being just some random model
15:46
and somebody hits you up and they're like, hey, your
15:48
name is in those Epstein files. You know that, right?
15:50
I can imagine the panic. What do you mean my
15:52
names in those files? I had nothing to do with Epstein?
15:55
And then you find out that he was like creeping
15:57
on you talk about gross. Even as women started to
16:03
go public with disturbing allegations against Epstein, Kates continued to
16:07
offer her support. She appeared to tell them that women
16:10
coming forward with allegations about him were doing so only
16:14
to sell their stories to the press. Money motivates people,
16:17
she wrote. Later, in response to another abuse allegation against Epstein,
16:22
she told them she should be so lucky. People are nuts.
16:27
She should be so lucky, so lucky to be abused
16:30
so lucky to have Epstein molest them when their children
16:35
or young adults boys, some people have all the law. Huh,
16:39
Faith Kates after extensive coverage of Virginia Roberts allegations in
16:45
twenty eleven, she advised them to lay very low and
16:48
donate the projects that would do good for others. This
16:52
will make people talk about you in a positive way,
16:55
she wrote, see what I mean about the armor. Oh,
16:58
let's just go and donate some money and that makes
17:00
everything better. That same year, Epstein appears to have donated
17:06
fifty thousand dollars to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, of
17:10
which Kate's was president, and gave Kate's a product handbag
17:13
for her birthday. She emailed them, thanking them for the
17:17
bag and for being my friend, signed with her signature
17:20
line of Kisses. The following year, he gave her a
17:23
twelve thousand dollars stove for Christmas. So does anyone really
17:28
think that Faith Kate's cared about these women over her
17:32
buddy Jeffrey Epstein, because I'm not seeing that. It was
17:38
around the same time that epstein offer of significant investments
17:41
appear to have begun. In July of twenty ten, he
17:45
emailed her about buying a five million dollar property together
17:49
for her and her family. Kate spokesperson insisted that no
17:53
investments from Epstein ever materialized, and The Guardian has seen
17:57
no evidence to suggest she received any loan. In emails
18:01
from September twenty ten and across the following months, Kate
18:05
seemed desperate for the purchase to go ahead. Are you
18:09
avoiding me? This is what I didn't want to happen.
18:12
I need to talk to you today as I don't
18:14
want to lose this apartment. It's perfect for me and
18:16
my family and my kids are excited. Epstein replied in Paris.
18:22
Do not tell the broker how high you're willing to go.
18:24
It will cost an extra half million if we are
18:26
not careful. Kate wrote, I can't lose this, not for
18:31
me and my kids. Three months later, she wrote, Jeffrey,
18:34
please be upfront with me. I understand that if you
18:37
can't do this financially at this moment, but please just
18:40
return my calls. I won't ever let something like this
18:43
come between thirty years of friendship. So it looks like
18:47
Epstein was dicking her around, right, Yeah, sure, I got you.
18:51
I'll buy this apartment for you, then he goes her.
18:55
Beginning in twenty fifteen, Kate's appears to have accepted guidance
18:58
from Epstein about the mom agency, and over the next
19:02
three years he and sometimes his accountant, Richard Kahn, seemed
19:05
to have acted as advisors. Email suggests that Epstein directed
19:09
Kates on how to buy out next then co owners,
19:13
the private equity firm Golden Gate Capital. He offered her
19:16
six million dollar loan to do so, which he told
19:19
her must be kept secret. Epstein wrote, I will lend
19:23
you only the six million offered to buy Golden Gate
19:26
out for five to start. My name cannot be involved,
19:29
of course. Two years later, Epstein continued to act as
19:33
an advisor, decats behind the scenes on how to make
19:36
the deal happen. He appeared to send her a script
19:39
of what to say to Neil Attenborough, the managing director
19:42
of Golden Gate. In another email, Epstein says, let's get
19:46
rid of Neil. A spokesperson for Golden Gate said Jeffrey
19:50
Epstein's identity and advisory role were proactively concealed from the
19:54
Golden Gate Capital team throughout the Cell process. Well that
19:58
all tracks that was Epstein's m come in as a
20:02
shadow donor, not let anybody know that he was involved,
20:05
and keep it moving. A spokesperson for Kate's said none
20:10
of the loans suggested by Epstein materialized, and Epstein never
20:14
had a financial interest in Next. In the months after
20:18
Epstein killed himself in prison allegedly and in jail in
20:23
August of twenty nineteen, Next bought out gold Gate as planned.
20:27
A spokesperson for Next said the final deal happened without
20:31
CON's involvement. Miss Kate's long standing and highly personal relationship
20:36
with Epstein were unknown to Next management until recent disclosures
20:40
of the Epstein documents. The spokesperson said her actions were
20:45
neither authorized by nor known to Next, and were at
20:48
all times her own. The spokesperson added, to the extent
20:53
Miss Kate's independent actions impacted or involved Next clients and employees,
20:58
we are deeply sorry. Well that fixes everything. They're sorry, folks.
21:03
I guess all these girls can just you know, pick
21:05
up the pieces and move on and be fortified by
21:08
the fact that these people are sorry. Meanwhile, back here
21:11
in reality, nobody cares about your apologies, and nobody cares
21:15
about your revisionist history. You all knew what the deal
21:18
was you know what Epstein was doing and you knew
21:20
the scope of it. So look all these modeling agencies
21:23
that were involved with Jeffrey Epstein, all these modeling agencies
21:26
in general, in my opinion, they should all be looked
21:29
at because the sad truth is Jeffrey Epstein wasn't the
21:32
first diddler and he won't be the last. All the
21:37
information that goes with this episode can be found in
21:40
the description box. What's up everyone, and welcome back to
21:43
the Epstein Chronicles. Hope everybody's having a great Friday morning
21:48
so far, and hopefully all of you are going to
21:52
have this weekend off. For those of you who celebrate Easter,
21:56
hope you guys get to celebrate it with your families, friends,
21:59
loved ones, whatever. And for those of you who don't, well,
22:02
I just hope you have a fantastic weekend. As for
22:05
our topic for today, we're going to talk about Jean
22:09
Luke Brunell and how some of the biggest retailers in
22:14
the industry were spooked by this guy's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
22:19
With the allegations against Jean Luke Brunell, but yet somehow
22:23
the company MC two, their modeling agency. They still had inroads,
22:28
they were still getting work, they were still sending girls
22:31
to these different gigantic retailers. And as you'll see in
22:35
this article, Jean Luke Brunell's partner was very, very concerned,
22:42
so concerned in fact, that he stayed in business with
22:45
Jean Luke Brunell. All Right, So this article is from
22:49
Fortune dot com and the headline is major retailers had
22:53
tremendous concerns about fashion model scouts ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Well,
22:59
not a concerns enough to stop doing business with them, huh.
23:02
Not concerns enough to sen Jean Luke Brunell and MC
23:06
to pack in. Huh. You see, it's only when this
23:10
stuff is brought to light that these people have concerns, right,
23:15
It's never when they're actually getting into bed with these scumbags,
23:18
when everybody knows who they are. Look, you really mean
23:22
to tell me there weren't rumors around Epstein and Jean
23:26
Luke Brunell when these people originally got into business with them.
23:31
The only time it's a problem is when it's exposed.
23:35
This article was authored by Kim Bassen, Jordan Hallman, and
23:40
Bloomberg and It was originally published August nineteenth of two
23:45
thousand and nineteen. Several of the biggest retailers in the US,
23:51
including Nordstrom's, Macy's, Sacksvith Avenue, and Nieman Marcus, were named
23:56
as previous clients by the president of a modeling agency
24:00
with deep ties to Jeffrey Epstein, as allegations of sex
24:03
trafficking swirled around. The financier and the firm, You mean
24:07
the pedophile, And it's funny that they say, oh, he
24:10
has deep ties to Epstein. Well, the owner of the company,
24:13
Jean Luke Brunell, started the company with seed money from
24:16
Jeffrey Epstein. But let's not act like Jean Luke Brunell
24:19
is some good guy that you want to be associated with. Either.
24:23
Even if he wasn't rolling around with Epstein, this guy
24:25
would have still been molesting people in raping people. Additionally,
24:31
store officials five years ago were worried about Epstein's association
24:35
with the agency, According to an internal agency letter, The
24:39
agency MC two Model Management is owned by industry veteran
24:44
Jean Luke Brunell. His relationship to Epstein, who committed suicide
24:49
last week, allegedly is documented at least as far back
24:53
as two thousand and two, when flight Logs placed Brunell
24:57
on Epstein's private plane for a flight from Floor to
25:00
the Bahamas. Look, we all know now how deep that
25:05
relationship was, how close Epstein and Jean lu Brunell were,
25:11
and that Jean lu Brunell served a key role within
25:15
Epstein's criminal enterprise. This guy was getting girls, securing girls
25:20
from all over the world, mainly war torn nations, places
25:24
like Eastern Europe, on the Balkans, you name it, any
25:28
place where there's strife, strife and suffering, you could be
25:32
sure that Jean Luke Brunell and scoundrels like him are
25:35
there looking to exploit that. So Jean lup Brunell has
25:38
been doing that forever for Jeffrey Epstein. And let's not
25:41
forget all of the rumors and what we have heard
25:44
about Nadia Marchinkova. Epstein bought her from her parents, the
25:50
whole sordid tale, and all of that was facilitated by
25:55
Jean Luke Brunel. Jelllog show. Brunell visited Epstein while he
26:03
was serving a thirteen month sentence for procuring an underage
26:06
girl for prostitution, Brunell also housed models in Epstein's Manhattan apartments,
26:12
according to a sworn deposition by a former company bookkeeper. Look,
26:16
we all know that it was the apartment building on
26:19
sixty six. They would bring these girls in and they
26:22
would give them these stories about how they're gonna be
26:25
these huge models in America, how they're gonna work for
26:27
all of these companies. But instead they'd be forced to
26:32
go out as escorts for Epstein's buddies, for Jean Luke
26:36
Brunell's buddies. Pretty amazing that nobody else has been wrapped
26:42
up in this. Huh. I guess there were no Johns.
26:44
I guess nobody was buying the services. And this is
26:46
all a figment of everybody's imagination. By twenty fourteen, Brunell's
26:54
business partner Jeff Fuller was concerned that the relationship with
26:57
Epstein could be damaging. Oh fourteen, huh this Fuller, Gentleman
27:03
Jeff Fuller real quick to catch on. In a letter
27:06
reviewed by Bloomberg News, Fuller told Brunell that he was
27:09
getting a tremendous amount of worries from our clients about
27:13
the ties to Epstein. Then went on to list as
27:16
clients nord Trom Incorporated, Macy's Incorporated, Sacks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, J. C.
27:22
Penny Company, Cohle's Corporation, Target Corporation, Sears, and Belk. So
27:29
all of those companies that were getting girls from MC two,
27:33
more than likely at some point we're using trafficked girls.
27:38
That's just the reality of the situation. If Brunell is involved,
27:42
you can almost guarantee that there's traffic girls involved as well.
27:47
That same year, Nordstrom executives wrote a letter offering her
27:50
full support and unqualified support for Brunel's full and full
27:56
and unqualified support of Brunell's application for an visa the
28:01
work permit the US government awards to extraordinary individuals. Well,
28:05
we all know how extraordinary Jean Luke Brunel is. Funny
28:10
that he was able to facilitate this as well and
28:13
get this kind of waiver. I'm sure it has nothing
28:17
to do with, you know, a little back room greasing
28:20
of the palms or anything like that. While the retailers
28:24
are said to have been clients of MC two aren't
28:27
accused of wrongdoing, they join a long and growing list
28:30
of powerful people and institutions in Epstein's orbit. Look, is
28:35
there anywhere that this dude and his corrosive disgustingness didn't
28:42
seep into? Is there any part of the establishment, Because
28:47
every time you turn around, there's a new part of
28:49
the establishment that Epstein has his fingerprints all over. Nordstrom
28:56
declined to comment for this story. It last worked with
28:59
MC two in January of twenty seventeen, according to a
29:03
person familiar with the company's model booking. J C. Penny
29:07
and Target declined to comment for this story. Nieman, Marcus, Cole,
29:11
Sears and Belk they didn't respond to requests, of course
29:14
not why would they. Look, the last thing you want
29:17
is your name associated with Jeffrey Epstein. But you know
29:19
a good way to avoid that, Well, don't be associated
29:23
with Jeffrey Epstein. Sachs doesn't currently work with MC two,
29:28
according to a person familiar with the company's booking. Macy's
29:32
also said MC two is not on its active roster,
29:35
though it had been used on a handful of very
29:38
small projects. Company spokeswoman Blair Rosenberg set in an email
29:43
the person who engaged them was not aware of the concerns. Oh,
29:46
I'm sure nobody. Look, nobody knew these guys were pillars
29:50
of the community, you know, real salt and earth types.
29:55
There was never any suspicion that Epstein or Brunel were
29:59
per Give me a break. There was so many tells,
30:04
so many signs, and people who missed those signs I
30:11
believe missed them willingly because they knew they were going
30:14
to benefit financially. Nordstroom shares rose two point two percent
30:22
to twenty five twenty five dollars and eighty seven cents
30:25
on Monday at nine thirty eight am in New York.
30:29
J C. Penny was little changed. Blah blah blah. Still
30:32
we're gonna skip that part. Don't need any of that.
30:33
Those were old numbers of what the stock was doing
30:36
in twenty and nineteen. Earlier accusations against Brunel. In December
30:41
twenty fourteen, Brunell was accused of trafficking underage girls to
30:45
farm them out to friends, including Epstein, according to court
30:49
documents filed by one of Epstein's accusers. Brunell denied all
30:53
trafficking claims in twenty fifteen and hasn't released a public
30:58
statement since. Oh yeah, well, well we all know that
31:00
he is a very honorable guy and That's why, you know,
31:04
very honorable men like him, they end up killing themselves
31:07
in prison when they're under all kinds of charges of
31:10
human trafficking and rape and assault and all kinds of things.
31:15
He had no idea what was going on. He wasn't involved.
31:19
This dude was a key component, one of the sickest
31:22
of the group. In fact, Brunell and MC two came
31:27
back into the spotlight last month after allegations against Epstein
31:31
resurfaced and cast a shadow on longtime associate Les Wexner,
31:37
the CEO of L Brands, which owns Victoria's Secret. Wexner
31:42
says his relationship with Epstein ended nearly twelve years ago,
31:45
but the modeling agency and its owner had business relationships
31:49
that extended far beyond L Brands. Yeah, you think, advocating
31:55
for models. It's not clear how extensively or for how
31:59
long the retail worked with MC two, but the connections
32:03
draw fresh scrutiny to the relationship retailers have with the
32:07
modeling industry, which is largely unregulated. Retailers often work with
32:13
several modeling agencies, using a casting director to determine who
32:17
to book for fashion shows, catalog shoots, and other projects. Meanwhile,
32:22
a lot of these girls are being abused and trafficked. Look,
32:25
I have zero faith in the modeling industry. Just about
32:30
everything I've learned about the modeling industry has sickened me.
32:34
And I've said it once and I'll say it a
32:36
million more times. If I had a daughter or a
32:38
son who wanted to be in that industry, I would
32:42
not leave them alone for one minute while they were
32:45
underage with one of these people. Never once. Maybe I'm
32:49
being too cautious or going overboard or whatever, but I've
32:54
seen enough, folks, I've pulled that curtain way back, and
32:58
the eyeful that I have received in the past three
33:00
years enough to turn anyone's stomach. Sarah Ziff, executive director
33:07
of modeling advocacy group The Model Alliance, says retailers have
33:12
the same obligation to models that apparel makers have to
33:15
garment workers. Retailers have an interest and responsibility to make
33:20
sure that abuses aren't happening on their watch. He said,
33:23
it's a workforce that's uniquely vulnerable, and there's a lack
33:27
of accountability, and you wonder why all of these dudes
33:29
get involved in the world of modeling or pageants or
33:33
you know, talent shows or whatever, and inevitably all of
33:38
these dudes that get involved are like these old, gross
33:41
ass creepy dudes. The fuck does John Luke Brunel know
33:44
about beautiful women and modeling? You see? You see this guy.
33:48
He looks like he's ripped right from the pages of
33:51
some bad British comic as one of the villains. Don't
33:55
know women trying to hang out with this dude. If
33:57
it wasn't for his modeling business, the dude would never
34:01
have a woman. In fact, some stores have policies in
34:08
place to protect employees, including contractors like models, from abuse,
34:13
a fact which concerned mc to President Fuller. According to
34:17
his email, of course it did look and this Fuller
34:21
guy to act like he had no idea. You mean
34:23
to tell me you're in business with Jean Luke Brunel
34:26
and you have no idea who he is or what
34:28
he's up to, or where the seed money came for
34:30
your company? Okay, buddy, sure, we believe you. It really
34:36
worries me as some of those companies have associated themselves
34:41
from what they believed to be questionable companies. Fuller wrote
34:45
in a two thousand and four email to Brunell. So far,
34:48
that has not been a problem, but it could come
34:51
up in the future. It hasn't been a problem yet,
34:53
and it's because the doors weren't blown open yet. But
34:56
these companies knew. They're not stupid. They all had a
35:00
access to the internet. They all knew when Epstein got arrested.
35:02
They all heard the rumors. They didn't care Brunell's ascendancy
35:08
as a model scout. Brunell cannot be reached for comment
35:11
through multiple calls to MC two. Well breaking news. You're
35:15
not going to be able to reach him any time
35:17
soon either, unless you got a direct line to Hell.
35:20
He began his career in Paris in the mid seventies.
35:23
In the eighties, he worked with Eileen Ford's modeling most
35:26
prominent executive. She severed ties to Brunel after allegations of
35:31
sexual assault surfaced in a nineteen eighty eight report on
35:34
his operations in Paris by the CBS news investigative program
35:39
sixty Minutes. No big deal though, Macy's will still work
35:42
with you. Nieman, Marcus Sachs, j C. Pennies Sears, Come
35:46
on down, sexual assaulters, We welcome one in all in
35:53
nineteen ninety five, he founded an agency called Karen Models
35:56
of America, which later became MC two, and at time
36:00
at some point became friends with Epstein, who invested one
36:03
million dollars in his modeling business. According to a twenty
36:07
ten deposition by a former company bookkeeper, The agency has
36:11
denied receiving such funds. Oh yeah, I'm sure that Jeffrey
36:16
Epstein and Jean Luke Brunell only met at this time.
36:21
These guys have been friends way longer than that. Look,
36:24
this was all part of the scheme, part of the plot.
36:27
They needed Brunel. He was a key component for what
36:30
they had to do. He was bringing these girls in
36:33
and he was bringing them in at a huge clip
36:36
and the cover was, Oh, they're coming in for modeling gigs.
36:39
Oh let me get a visa for them. But the
36:41
reality was something much much darker. Brunell visited Epstein while
36:47
he was in jail in two thousand and eight, according
36:50
to visitor logs, and flight records show that he traveled
36:53
on Epstein's private jet along with Glenn Maxwell, the woman
36:56
accused in civil lawsuits of procuring teenage girls for the
37:00
pedophile Yeah. Well, a little bit more than that now
37:03
huh going to prison for the rest of her life
37:05
for human trafficking while Jean Luke Brunell is burning for eternity.
37:12
Epstein also allowed the agent to house models and a
37:15
handful of Manhattan apartments. According to the bookkeeper's statement, one
37:19
Nordstrom executive vouched for Brunel and his skills as a
37:23
model scout. In twenty fourteen, Lisa Maslow, Nordstrom's lead model booker,
37:29
sent a letter to US Citizenship and Immigration Services in
37:33
support of Brunell's application for a visa. In her letter,
37:36
she wrote that mister Jean Luke Brunell is an art
37:40
director and talent coordinator of the highest caliber, whose technical
37:44
excellence and creative vision have lifted him to the top
37:47
of his profession. I'm sure it had nothing to do
37:49
with his exploitation of women or the fact that he
37:52
had Jeffrey Epstein and all of Epstein's powerful friends backing him.
37:58
Nordstrom declined to make Maslow available for an interview. Maslow
38:02
didn't respond to phone calls or social media messages seeking comment.
38:06
Why should they? Why should there be any accountability? In
38:10
twenty fifteen, Brunel sued Epstein claiming that his former friend
38:14
had ruined his reputation to the point that it was
38:17
nearly impossible to run his modeling business. The suit was
38:21
thrown out because Epstein was never served. You know, it's
38:24
because Brunell knew the score, Bro, You were just as
38:27
deep in it as Epstein, running around talking about your
38:30
reputation's been sullied. MC two continues to do business out
38:36
of offices in Miami. In Tel Aviv, Brunell was searching
38:39
for potential models on behalf of MC two in Eastern
38:42
Europe Shocker, Ukraine huh shocker, and Russia, Oh another Shocker
38:47
as recently as twenty fifteen. According to a promotional video
38:51
recorded that fall, my business partner Jean Luke Brunell is
38:55
one of the last legendary agents in the business, and
38:58
he's highly involved in the the recruitment and scouting of
39:01
some of the best girls that we've been launching currently.
39:04
Fuller says in the video, we're launching just like a
39:07
whole new crop of girls right now. Oh, isn't that great.
39:11
I'm sure all of those girls had fantastic experiences mister Fuller.
39:20
Brunell has since disappeared from the public eye, his current
39:23
whereabouts remain unknown. Well, I guess that's not the case anymore, huh.
39:27
We all know where he's at now. But when this
39:30
article was first published, there was a lot of talk
39:34
about where Jean Luke Brunell was. Was he with Glenn Maxwell?
39:38
Were they hiding out together? Where the hell were these people?
39:42
As we all know, well we found out, didn't we.
39:45
Jean lu Brunell ended up getting held in Paris, and
39:49
of course Maxwell ends up getting popped in New Hampshire.
39:52
But folks, it's just another example of how disgusting the
39:56
modeling industry is, and all of these retailers use these models.
40:01
There needs to be some accountability because it is a
40:06
fact that these girls from MC two that were being
40:09
brought in by Jean Luke Brunell, maybe not all of them,
40:12
but a large number or at the very least some
40:16
were trafficked and were being victimized by Epstein, Brunel and
40:22
who knows who else. So these retailers, these big time
40:26
places like you know, Sacks Fifth Avenue, they're gonna have
40:30
to do a better job. And the modeling industry itself
40:34
needs to be regulated because we all know they can't
40:39
regulate themselves, all right, folks. That's gonna do it for
40:43
this episode. Obviously, more is certainly on the way. If
40:47
you'd like to contact me, you can do that at
40:49
Bobby Capucci at proton Meld.
