- 2:38Speaker 3: get to yep.
- 2:40Speaker 2: But first.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Where do I begin? I want, you know what I
- 2:45Speaker 3: want to start with. I want to start with optical
- 2:50Speaker 3: expressions this morning. Okay, because it is the sixteenth of January.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I said yesterday that the whole month of January, they
- 3:00Speaker 3: have a big sale going on, right right, twenty five
- 3:02Speaker 3: percent off all in stock prescription and non prescription sunglasses
- 3:07Speaker 3: while they last. No, these I will tell you you,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I'm just gonna these. These are not optical expression sunglasses.
- 3:22Speaker 2: No, but they look absolutely perfect on you. Thank you,
- 3:25Speaker 2: You're welcome. These are dollar store oh sunglasses. You are
- 3:32Speaker 2: not going to get something like this, No at optical Expressions. Okay, okay,
- 3:39Speaker 2: twenty four to seven OE Berlin dot Com call two
- 3:42Speaker 2: two three, twenty ninety. If it's been a while since
- 3:45Speaker 2: you've had an eye exam, mine is coming up in February.
- 3:49Speaker 2: It's on the books, and we're gonna find out how
- 3:55Speaker 2: much worse it is. Just how blind I really am
- 4:00Speaker 2: telling you right now. It's worse. It's worse, but it
- 4:04Speaker 2: never gets better.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I know.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It's like the older we get, you know, the older
- 4:12Speaker 2: we get, the more everything starts to fail.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I'm just like, I just can't see anything anymore. Right
- 4:19Speaker 3: But anyway, I'll I'm going to let you know how
- 4:22Speaker 3: my my eye exam is over an Optical Expressions. Mark
- 4:26Speaker 3: Leepert and the whole crew of there. What a bunch
- 4:28Speaker 3: of wonderful people there really are. Fourth floor of the
- 4:30Speaker 3: Lantern Block. By the way, if you haven't been in
- 4:32Speaker 3: there yet, just hop in the elevator and run up there.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I've got the weather forecast. I want to show some
- 4:39Speaker 3: people some of the roads that we're looking at this
- 4:41Speaker 3: morning things are are pretty good. Actually, I always show
- 4:47Speaker 3: you what New England five point one one is shown me.
- 4:53Speaker 3: But there's there's the Interstate on eighty nine in Hartford
- 4:57Speaker 3: right there. And let's see we have a brook Field
- 5:01Speaker 3: it's the high Spot Hartford again, Brookfield again. A couple
- 5:06Speaker 3: of different camera angles. There's Bethel, uh, Waterbury, egsit ten.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Lots of black eyes. Last night, boy, I'll tell you
- 5:14Speaker 3: it was. It was crazy. It came out of nowhere too, Okay.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I went to get the mail and I was like,
- 5:18Speaker 3: wait a minute, why it's I know, I know. I
- 5:22Speaker 3: want to lead off this morning by telling everybody that
- 5:25Speaker 3: from what I have just received, that accident this morning
- 5:31Speaker 3: on Route twelve has been cleared. Um just double checking here, yep, yep, yep.
- 5:39Speaker 3: It is Route twelve South in Randolph in the area
- 5:45Speaker 3: of the tire warehouse cleared and opened back up to traffic.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Pretty serious crash earlier this morning. So I want to
- 5:55Speaker 3: say good morning and welcome to air it out to
- 5:59Speaker 3: a few New File followers Bonnie in Thetford and Chris
- 6:04Speaker 3: in Rutland. Well, welcome, welcome, not really sure that the
- 6:10Speaker 3: if this is their first time seeing you not really
- 6:13Speaker 3: sure if oh, they know what they're getting into.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Really yeah, for the first time, view as they've never
- 6:22Speaker 2: seen me before.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Buckle up, Buckle up, Buttercup. Some days and it's very unpredictable.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Some days we just don't know where we're going, and
- 6:31Speaker 3: we go places where frankly we shouldn't, and and other days.
- 6:37Speaker 2: We're a little bit more reserved.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 3: So Stacy Holton is checking in the sporting I love
- 6:43Speaker 3: how he does this. He says, good morning, thirty six
- 6:46Speaker 3: degrees with a high of sixty five today, he's down
- 6:51Speaker 3: in Fort Pierce.
- 6:52Speaker 2: That's like, gosh, he's gonna have to put on a
- 6:55Speaker 2: winter coat.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Is he bullshitting?
- 7:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Thirty six down in Fort Pierce. That doesn't in the morning. No,
- 7:06Speaker 3: in the morning, it can cool down. Absolutely overnight it
- 7:09Speaker 3: cools down, not Fort Pierce, not in Florida. Why not
- 7:15Speaker 3: thirty six degrees. Maybe he's making it up. Come on,
- 7:19Speaker 3: maybe he's making it up. He's trying to throw us off.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fine. Uh, let's see what we know what Stacey.
- 7:25Speaker 2: We do not believe you, Yeah, we don't. We're calling
- 7:29Speaker 2: you out on it. Prove it, prove it, show me
- 7:31Speaker 2: show me the temperature gauge outside at your house right now,
- 7:35Speaker 2: exactly prove it.
- 7:38Speaker 3: It was five degrees at my house this morning. Five
- 7:44Speaker 3: h He says, Uh, it was thirty one in Okachobee.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Wow. If that if he's being serious now, he's got
- 7:52Speaker 2: to prove it.
- 7:53Speaker 3: That's a dip.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Got another message here. Yep, that's what it is. Another Floridian. Oh,
- 8:02Speaker 3: holy crap man.
- 8:03Speaker 2: All right, well you see I'm not apologizing.
- 8:06Speaker 3: We're at thirty seven in the villages in Florida. That's
- 8:12Speaker 3: Linda Kochers down at the villages thirty seven.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, do you there? You go?
- 8:17Speaker 3: Do you know how badly I want to go down
- 8:19Speaker 3: to the villages.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Why are we not? God?
- 8:23Speaker 3: I want to go down there so badly. I want
- 8:25Speaker 3: to drive around in a part.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Time when we dock in Florida. Do we have time?
- 8:31Speaker 3: Can we get a little tour? Can you see you
- 8:34Speaker 3: and I riding around in a golf court the villages
- 8:38Speaker 3: playing bingo on Wednesday nights with a couple of margaritas.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Wow. I have a hard time seeing you and I
- 8:48Speaker 2: doing anything without getting in trouble.
- 8:51Speaker 3: True, And we're going on a cruise together. I know,
- 8:55Speaker 3: I know it's gonna be that's gonna be hysterical.
- 8:58Speaker 2: And Sunday you're coming out about you and the fam
- 9:01Speaker 2: and we're going to hang out for this Sunday.
- 9:04Speaker 3: We're just gonna I'm these I love thinking about these things.
- 9:09Speaker 3: There is there is so much these days that is
- 9:16Speaker 3: renting space in my head.
- 9:18Speaker 2: What's in your head?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Good? Good things, like good things. I'm looking forward to
- 9:23Speaker 3: that cruise. I think about it every day. That's long term.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Short term, I'm looking forward to this Sunday, yep, coming
- 9:32Speaker 3: over to your house. I have some things, some some
- 9:35Speaker 3: food items that I want to share with with you
- 9:37Speaker 3: and Chad. Short term, i am all I can think
- 9:42Speaker 3: about is that basketball game tonight, watching my little girl
- 9:45Speaker 3: out on the court.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you never miss any of that.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I've never missed a game.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You don't. You don't. Hell is burning. I don't up here.
- 9:54Speaker 2: You're still like, I'm over it. And here's the thing.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I have.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Disappointed a few number of people, friends and folks who
- 10:06Speaker 3: are acquaintances, members of different committees and organizations that I'm
- 10:13Speaker 3: involved with. I'm like, not missing a game. It's not
- 10:16Speaker 3: going to happen. So I don't blame you. That's tonight. Yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 3: so I just can't wait. Yeah, I'm gonna actually sit
- 10:24Speaker 3: down and watch a basketball game and then another one tomorrow.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I love, I love, I love you know what I love.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I mean, of course, I love watching Lily out on
- 10:35Speaker 3: the court. I just love watching families get together and
- 10:41Speaker 3: cheering on their kids, right, who are running up and
- 10:45Speaker 3: down and working together as a team, working on what
- 10:51Speaker 3: their coaches have tried to teach them.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yep.
- 10:55Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome. And when you have positive things like
- 11:00Speaker 2: that happening tonight, tomorrow, then Sunday a cruise. When you
- 11:06Speaker 2: have all those positive things happening, you can actually put
- 11:09Speaker 2: that in the front and stick the negative behind.
- 11:12Speaker 3: You know, I was thinking about you yesterday. Oh and
- 11:17Speaker 3: then remember you telling me about mental shelving.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Right, putting things in their box and then putting them
- 11:28Speaker 2: up on a shelf. Categorize, yes, compartmentalize, compartmentalizing certain things, yep,
- 11:37Speaker 2: And that is so important for us to do that, man,
- 11:40Speaker 2: it really is. Oh absolutely, If you carry everything that's
- 11:44Speaker 2: going on in your life and their lives around you
- 11:47Speaker 2: all up front, then you're so boggled down that you
- 11:51Speaker 2: can't even function But if you can take the things
- 11:55Speaker 2: and know, Okay, Donald Trump is doing this, I'm upset
- 11:58Speaker 2: about it. Great, I know that I am standard. It's
- 12:00Speaker 2: not going to consume my brain. Boom, it's up on
- 12:03Speaker 2: a shelf.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Sure.
- 12:04Speaker 2: You know Mary's upset with me because of blah blah blah,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and there's nothing I can say to make her feel better.
- 12:09Speaker 2: So boom, it's going on a shelf. Now, if Mary
- 12:12Speaker 2: calls me, I'll pull that off the shelf and I'll
- 12:15Speaker 2: open it, unbox it and do what I have to do. Sure, Okay,
- 12:19Speaker 2: if the elections are coming up, if I can make
- 12:22Speaker 2: a difference by saying no instead of yes, then I'm
- 12:26Speaker 2: going to pull that box down. I'm going to look
- 12:28Speaker 2: through it and I'm going to make my election. But
- 12:30Speaker 2: until you need that space, yep, until you basically or
- 12:34Speaker 2: mentally need to use it, Yeah, put it up there
- 12:38Speaker 2: and look at everything coming down the pike that's positive. Yeah,
- 12:41Speaker 2: and when you got something coming down the pike that's negative,
- 12:45Speaker 2: that you know it's negative and you and you're gonna
- 12:47Speaker 2: have to tunnel through it. Sure, use all the positive
- 12:50Speaker 2: stuff to push you through that negativity. That's what I do.
- 12:54Speaker 2: It is.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Easier for some folks to do this than others.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Absolutely, it takes practice.
- 13:02Speaker 3: It takes practice.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Has sixty three years to practice it.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I know everybody don't know. I look good for sixty
- 13:09Speaker 2: three actually sixty two next month on the cruise.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I do you.
- 13:15Speaker 2: But but.
- 13:18Speaker 3: I know he's so right though. I mean, it's like
- 13:23Speaker 3: you have to, you know, you have to work at
- 13:25Speaker 3: this every day of being like, man, look, find the
- 13:31Speaker 3: even if it's listen, even if you've got a ton
- 13:34Speaker 3: of shit that's heaped up on top of you, find
- 13:37Speaker 3: the positive. Are you sitting on your own couch? Do
- 13:40Speaker 3: you have a roof over your head? Do you have
- 13:42Speaker 3: a hot cup of coffee in your hand yep? Do
- 13:44Speaker 3: you have a warm blanket? How's your dog? Dog is
- 13:47Speaker 3: good next to you?
- 13:48Speaker 2: Cuddle it?
- 13:49Speaker 3: You know, little things like that. Man.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's funny because I have been a little
- 13:53Speaker 2: under the weather this week and my dog knew it,
- 13:58Speaker 2: like he just knew. And I'm laying on the couch
- 14:01Speaker 2: and he just jumps up and curls up into a
- 14:04Speaker 2: little ball next to my stomach and just was there.
- 14:07Speaker 2: And every now and then he would like look up
- 14:10Speaker 2: at me, like just to check and make sure I
- 14:13Speaker 2: was here, and then he'd go back to sleep, and
- 14:16Speaker 2: then he'd just pop his head up and look at me.
- 14:18Speaker 2: And so when you have, when you have those little
- 14:21Speaker 2: things that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, you know, Okay,
- 14:25Speaker 2: you don't have the greatest house. Okay, you wish you
- 14:28Speaker 2: were richer, Okay, yeah, guess what people we all wish that, sure, okay,
- 14:33Speaker 2: and we all get mad when somebody that's eighty five
- 14:35Speaker 2: years old in aka wash whatever wins the lottery and
- 14:40Speaker 2: we get mad, Well, they're eighty something, they're not even
- 14:43Speaker 2: gonna have to spend it. I should have, but you
- 14:45Speaker 2: know what, you should be happy for the person and
- 14:48Speaker 2: keep moving forward. I'm with you, you know, I mean,
- 14:51Speaker 2: you know what, but it would be nice to win
- 14:53Speaker 2: the fucking lottery.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Tell us you know what burns my ass a little
- 14:57Speaker 3: bit though, listening and love what you're saying. However, what
- 15:02Speaker 3: brins my asses when is somebody wins the lottery twice
- 15:07Speaker 3: in a year, yeah, or or twice.
- 15:11Speaker 2: It could sound six months good for them, good, good
- 15:15Speaker 2: for them, But it doesn't affect me in any way.
- 15:17Speaker 2: But if I didn't pick the light numbers, no, but
- 15:20Speaker 2: but but me you're not uncle bucking.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You can't no share some, no share some No you
- 15:26Speaker 3: wanted twice cold shady and say, Jad do you need
- 15:29Speaker 3: ten bucks for gas?
- 15:31Speaker 2: I don't know twice really, I know, I know.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Yesterday's episode was uh intense. Yeah yeah, Like Dan posted
- 15:48Speaker 3: hours later that he was still just kind of processing
- 15:52Speaker 3: it and I still am right, and I was the
- 15:56Speaker 3: one that was on the air, and I'm still like, uh,
- 16:00Speaker 3: what what was that all about? I mean, there was
- 16:02Speaker 3: a lot of stuff yesterday, and there were a couple
- 16:07Speaker 3: of different roads that went down with Rex, which was
- 16:15Speaker 3: eye opening and interesting. But this guy, Adam Swart from
- 16:26Speaker 3: Crowds on Demand dot com.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Ah.
- 16:31Speaker 3: For me, and you know, I'm at times a little
- 16:38Speaker 3: naive for me, that was like that really was kind
- 16:44Speaker 3: of unsettling for me, just to process how this world
- 16:55Speaker 3: and and what's what's being fed to us by the media,
- 17:01Speaker 3: what's being fed to us by friends, by acquaintances, by
- 17:10Speaker 3: what we see, by what we hear. You know, it's like,
- 17:14Speaker 3: what's what's real anymore? I mean, yesterday, if you if
- 17:18Speaker 3: you weren't tuned in yesterday, we had the CEO of
- 17:22Speaker 3: crowds OnDemand dot Com, Adam Schwart who was basically a company,
- 17:30Speaker 3: very successful company that hires people to be present during events,
- 17:41Speaker 3: public events.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Public events, whether it be a protest, whether it be
- 17:45Speaker 2: a wedding, whether whatever. Sure, there are people that are
- 17:49Speaker 2: hired for to go and and sit.
- 17:52Speaker 3: In product reveals, you know, company openings, but but also
- 17:59Speaker 3: protests and yes, political protests, and yeah, it was just
- 18:06Speaker 3: I don't know, man, just maybe it's my age. I
- 18:11Speaker 3: don't know. I was just surprised. I think I knew
- 18:16Speaker 3: on a certain level that some of this could be staged,
- 18:25Speaker 3: but I guess I didn't realize just how big of
- 18:29Speaker 3: a thing this is. And this is just one guy,
- 18:33Speaker 3: one company. You know. I was chatting with Paul yesterday
- 18:36Speaker 3: and he's like, there's much bigger companies that are bussing
- 18:41Speaker 3: people absolutely, like buses and hotels and like on a
- 18:48Speaker 3: much much larger scale. And I don't know, man, It's
- 18:52Speaker 3: like I'm still just kind of digesting this. I'm still
- 18:56Speaker 3: also kind of digesting that I can see something on
- 19:00Speaker 3: a computer or in a TV commercial or over the
- 19:06Speaker 3: shoulder of Lily's tablet and be like, oh my god,
- 19:11Speaker 3: look at that, and she'll be like, Dad, that's AI.
- 19:16Speaker 3: It's not even real.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I'm like, what, of course it's real. Of course it is. No,
- 19:22Speaker 3: and she's like, no, it's it's it's not. I mean,
- 19:25Speaker 3: she's eleven years old and she's she's she's able to
- 19:30Speaker 3: decipher right, yep, better much better than I am, much
- 19:36Speaker 3: much better than I am. Right, Dad, that's fake, it's fake.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Now, you do realize that this premise that I don't
- 19:45Speaker 2: want to say this delicately, but you realize this premise.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Let me have it.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Let me have that. You and Rex were attacking so
- 19:53Speaker 2: hard yesterday on Okay, which, by the way, interviewing a
- 19:57Speaker 2: CEO of a company and getting and telling him that
- 20:01Speaker 2: his stuff is blood money and stuff to me was inappropriate,
- 20:05Speaker 2: okay from this studio side, Okay, because here's somebody who
- 20:10Speaker 2: came on that didn't have to do what he did,
- 20:12Speaker 2: and he was trying to explain it. And if you
- 20:15Speaker 2: have an opinion, as an interviewer, you're supposed to listen,
- 20:19Speaker 2: ask good questions, challenge, but not insult. And I was
- 20:25Speaker 2: watching when one of you made the comment, well, that's
- 20:29Speaker 2: blood money. That's not for me. So you do your
- 20:32Speaker 2: gig and I'll do. And I'm like, first of all,
- 20:36Speaker 2: both you and Rex didn't have the full scope of
- 20:38Speaker 2: his thing. You only know pretty much his business based
- 20:42Speaker 2: on what he was trying to explain. You haven't done
- 20:45Speaker 2: really a deep dive into the entire demographics of it,
- 20:48Speaker 2: how it works, so you don't get to take what
- 20:52Speaker 2: he's saying in that short fifteen minute time and make
- 20:55Speaker 2: an overall judgment in my.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Opinion and assumption.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Okay, I'm with you, but what this guy is doing
- 21:01Speaker 2: right now has been done for years, years and years
- 21:04Speaker 2: and years, whether the person was paid or not. For example,
- 21:08Speaker 2: you've seen things where a company is opening or doing
- 21:11Speaker 2: a brand new start or whatever and they're like, wow,
- 21:14Speaker 2: we don't have a big crowd here, and we're on
- 21:15Speaker 2: the media. Hey cameraman, get in there, put the camera down.
- 21:19Speaker 2: We just won't use your camera. Get in, call some
- 21:21Speaker 2: people oversee if some people in the streets want to
- 21:24Speaker 2: come and be around here while we cut the ribbon.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It's it's a very common thing, especially when you're trying
- 21:30Speaker 2: to show a product or teach something you want, you know,
- 21:35Speaker 2: or have an influence right of some kind. And sometimes
- 21:39Speaker 2: if you're on camera, if you know you're going to
- 21:41Speaker 2: be seen, and it may be an impact to your
- 21:44Speaker 2: business and helping and this, and that they've done that
- 21:47Speaker 2: for years now. There are companies out there that are
- 21:51Speaker 2: financially offering. And when he used the word vetting, then
- 21:56Speaker 2: everybody was like vetting, how good to vet Webb? There's
- 22:00Speaker 2: really big because I did a deep dive on the
- 22:03Speaker 2: guy yesterday after I watched this show, and there really
- 22:06Speaker 2: is a full vetting process, because I went on the
- 22:09Speaker 2: site and I was like, oh, well, let me see
- 22:11Speaker 2: if there's anything in my area. There's a whole vetting
- 22:14Speaker 2: process before you even get considered. And it's not like
- 22:17Speaker 2: you're on salary where you can make a ton of
- 22:20Speaker 2: money doing this. This is something where you make a
- 22:22Speaker 2: spare this or that. It's not going to pay your livelihood. Okay,
- 22:27Speaker 2: So is there anything wrong with paying people to come,
- 22:31Speaker 2: especially with protests and stuff, because a lot of protests
- 22:36Speaker 2: are really really important, but they don't have the numbers
- 22:40Speaker 2: to make the effect when the cameras come in from
- 22:42Speaker 2: the media and stuff. So they send people there so
- 22:46Speaker 2: that when the media shows the crowd, it's like, hey,
- 22:50Speaker 2: this must be an important protest because there's a lot
- 22:54Speaker 2: of people protesting.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Okay, it's naive for me to think that that I
- 23:02Speaker 3: wish that if there were a public events where the
- 23:06Speaker 3: crowd came out. Is it naive for me to hope
- 23:11Speaker 3: or wish that that crowd was more localized and just
- 23:19Speaker 3: organically naturally coming together.
- 23:23Speaker 2: No, that's not naive at all. The ideal would love
- 23:27Speaker 2: to be that a crowd comes together in the local
- 23:30Speaker 2: area and not bust in or coming in whatever paid.
- 23:35Speaker 2: It's nice to know that the people that are actually
- 23:37Speaker 2: protesting are one hundred percent for the cause. Absolutely, yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 2: I mean that that's ideal. But if you're a program,
- 23:46Speaker 2: let's say a program that's cutting the ribbon for the
- 23:48Speaker 2: first time, and it's a controversial program that a lot
- 23:52Speaker 2: of people have misconceptions of, well, whatever the case may be.
- 23:57Speaker 2: So you're a ribbon cutting, there's not gonna be a
- 23:59Speaker 2: lot of people because a lot of them don't know
- 24:01Speaker 2: what it is, they're not comfortable with, they don't whatever
- 24:05Speaker 2: to bring in some people to help boost that program.
- 24:09Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with that. And it's like I said,
- 24:12Speaker 2: it's been done for years. It's not blood money. If
- 24:16Speaker 2: somebody asked me, hey, do you believe in the LGBT
- 24:20Speaker 2: community protests, I'll be like, you know, I'm not into
- 24:22Speaker 2: protesting because that's not my thing, but I one hundred
- 24:25Speaker 2: percent believe it. Well, then can you do me? Hey,
- 24:27Speaker 2: I'll give you a hundred bucks if you don't mind
- 24:29Speaker 2: going and being one of the people they at least
- 24:31Speaker 2: stand there because you believe in it. You just don't
- 24:35Speaker 2: want to hold crazy signs, So could you just go?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Okay, Paul, there were a few that kind of, for
- 24:44Speaker 3: lack of a better term, shamed me yesterday after I
- 24:48Speaker 3: got off the air of fl like Jane and then I
- 24:51Speaker 3: go and do it on the air. I know, I
- 24:55Speaker 3: think that. I think that's wonderful because here's I have
- 24:58Speaker 3: to learn.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Man.
- 25:00Speaker 3: It's like people were like, JD, this has been going on,
- 25:05Speaker 3: like you just said, right, for a long time, man.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, before it was a paything long time.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I mean, Paul, I was on the phone with him
- 25:14Speaker 3: for half an hour last night and he's like, Bro,
- 25:18Speaker 3: you should know that you, you of all people, should
- 25:23Speaker 3: know that, right being in the media, that this kind
- 25:26Speaker 3: of shit happens. And I'm like, Paul, I didn't know, right,
- 25:32Speaker 3: I didn't know, you know, but it just makes it
- 25:35Speaker 3: makes me, you know, like Rex was kind of alluding
- 25:39Speaker 3: to yesterday, on the air. It just kind of makes
- 25:41Speaker 3: me wonder, you know, like what I'm looking at on
- 25:43Speaker 3: my phone, if I'm seeing reels of some of the
- 25:46Speaker 3: protesting that's going on in Minnesota, how much of that
- 25:49Speaker 3: is really authentically genuine, right versus well, the protest that's
- 26:00Speaker 3: versus you know, acting.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I guess right, well, the protest that's going on over
- 26:09Speaker 2: there is definitely real, okay, because number one, the protesters
- 26:15Speaker 2: that are hired are asked to go to these kind
- 26:17Speaker 2: of things are peaceful protests. They're not in the thick
- 26:21Speaker 2: of it, getting into fights and all that stuff. That's
- 26:24Speaker 2: not what they're hired or what they're asked to do. Okay.
- 26:27Speaker 2: But what's going on over there right now, we know
- 26:30Speaker 2: this is real because it's you see the fire and
- 26:33Speaker 2: you see all that stuff going on. The thing that
- 26:37Speaker 2: concerns me is when somebody says things like maybe yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 2: or they say or not. You know, one of the
- 26:48Speaker 2: things you guys were talking about every time you were
- 26:50Speaker 2: talking about it, like well I saw the protester maybe,
- 26:55Speaker 2: and I don't buy that maybe, okay, Because first of all,
- 26:59Speaker 2: if you're going to live your high life by seeing
- 27:01Speaker 2: or hearing something and then saying maybe behind it, that's
- 27:04Speaker 2: a conspiracy thing, okay, And I'm not into conspiracy shit, bro,
- 27:09Speaker 2: I'm okay. So when somebody says to me, hey, breaking news,
- 27:13Speaker 2: bah bah bah, I trust, but verify. That's one of
- 27:18Speaker 2: the things I mentioned yesterday when I was typing trust
- 27:21Speaker 2: but verify. I trust what you're saying. I trust what
- 27:24Speaker 2: the media is saying. Now I'm going to verify because
- 27:27Speaker 2: there's things I've read on Facebook that's the whole thing
- 27:30Speaker 2: about something Donald Trump did, and I'm like, oh my god.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And then I go to the news sources and guess what.
- 27:38Speaker 2: None of that is in the news.
- 27:40Speaker 3: So here's the thing. There's people that trust and believe
- 27:44Speaker 3: everything that is told to them, everything that they see
- 27:47Speaker 3: on their phones or on TV or whatever, yep, reading
- 27:49Speaker 3: the paper, whatever. Right. Then there's people who trusting something's
- 27:55Speaker 3: questioning others not sure this doesn't smell right, blah blah blah.
- 28:00Speaker 3: And then there are others that like, don't believe anything
- 28:05Speaker 3: you hear, correct, don't believe anything you see.
- 28:08Speaker 2: That's my brother doesn't believe anything on the news or whatever.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Everything is fake? What what? And And you could say, oh,
- 28:18Speaker 3: you know, to the to these folks, Oh my god,
- 28:23Speaker 3: did you hear did you hear what happened last night
- 28:25Speaker 3: in New York City?
- 28:26Speaker 2: Well? What happened?
- 28:27Speaker 3: Oh there was a bubba? Well that's do you really
- 28:31Speaker 3: believe that that happened? Or do you think that that's
- 28:35Speaker 3: that's fake? I know, I mean do you believe everything
- 28:38Speaker 3: that you that you hear?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:40Speaker 3: And I feel like saying, do you not believe everything
- 28:44Speaker 3: that you hear?
- 28:45Speaker 2: Listen?
- 28:45Speaker 3: I mean, at some point we have to come to
- 28:48Speaker 3: some a little bit of common ground here where we
- 28:51Speaker 3: have to like say, hey, is it true that we
- 28:55Speaker 3: are alive? Yes?
- 28:58Speaker 2: Right?
- 28:58Speaker 3: Is it true that this guy is blue? Right now?
- 29:03Speaker 4: Yes?
- 29:03Speaker 2: Right?
- 29:04Speaker 3: It is? Is it true that there was just a
- 29:07Speaker 3: plane crash in Florida? Well that's what the news told you,
- 29:12Speaker 3: but there probably wasn't right. I mean, come on, man,
- 29:16Speaker 3: It's like, at some point we've got to like.
- 29:19Speaker 2: It's it's I hear you, but you know what I'm saying. Yes,
- 29:22Speaker 2: It's like when I make a new friend. Okay, when
- 29:27Speaker 2: I make a new friend, it's a clean slate. I
- 29:29Speaker 2: don't care if somebody told me this person's evil, blah
- 29:32Speaker 2: blah blah. I don't give a shit about any of that.
- 29:34Speaker 2: If I come across this person for the first time,
- 29:37Speaker 2: I give them a clean slate.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Me exactly the same.
- 29:42Speaker 2: They could be dicks to everybody else, but I start
- 29:44Speaker 2: with a clean slate. When they start acting up or
- 29:48Speaker 2: they start doing whatever, and I see flags in the
- 29:52Speaker 2: color red, then I start doing the checklist. Okay, yes,
- 29:57Speaker 2: is this going to work? Is this person being since
- 30:00Speaker 2: blah blah blah? Okay, And then I may use other
- 30:03Speaker 2: resources like other people to find out why there's such
- 30:06Speaker 2: an issue with this person. Sure, that to me is trust,
- 30:09Speaker 2: but verify. Sure, Okay, I trust the person until something,
- 30:13Speaker 2: and then I verify. Well, when it comes to the news,
- 30:15Speaker 2: the media, all this other stuff that we hear, are
- 30:18Speaker 2: there are aliens up there? And was that light an alien?
- 30:21Speaker 2: Did Trump really say this? And did the Republicans really
- 30:24Speaker 2: feel this way? I listen to it, I read it,
- 30:28Speaker 2: but then I verify it. Before I can go out
- 30:31Speaker 2: and say, hey, ged such and such happened, I verify it.
- 30:35Speaker 2: I check them different newspapers, I check the different outsources
- 30:39Speaker 2: and stuff. And if I hear it from there also,
- 30:43Speaker 2: then I can say definitively that I believe in this
- 30:48Speaker 2: because it's out.
- 30:49Speaker 3: There I got you. But the thing is a lot
- 30:51Speaker 3: of us don't either have the time or make the
- 30:55Speaker 3: time or take the time to do that verify.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Well, then that's ignorance because we're flying around. No. No,
- 31:03Speaker 2: that's when you can't judge it. You can't yay or
- 31:07Speaker 2: nay it. Okay, you can't judge something if you can't
- 31:11Speaker 2: if you don't have all the fact.
- 31:12Speaker 3: But as a society, as a human we are more
- 31:16Speaker 3: reactive we were. We're magnetized to the drama. Holy shit,
- 31:22Speaker 3: look at that boom. We share it our social media.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Exactly that, And that's the problem. I've done it, Okay,
- 31:31Speaker 2: I don't care if you see you know what, GF.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I've seen stuff in the morning. You've caught me doing that,
- 31:36Speaker 2: and I've read stuff in the morning, and I didn't
- 31:39Speaker 2: discuss it with you or anyone else until later in
- 31:43Speaker 2: the afternoon or that evening when I took the time
- 31:46Speaker 2: to verify it. Yeah, okay, There'll be things that I'll
- 31:49Speaker 2: say to my brother, Hey, by the way, did you
- 31:51Speaker 2: hear this morning? I saw in the news Trump did
- 31:53Speaker 2: bubb bah bah And my brother's like really, I'm like yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 2: And then I've got an egg on my face for
- 31:59Speaker 2: my brother to me later. Listen. So I looked that
- 32:01Speaker 2: whole thing up, and that's not what happened. What happened
- 32:04Speaker 2: is bubbah. But well I didn't verify, and here I
- 32:07Speaker 2: am going around saying something that I saw without verifying. Yeah,
- 32:10Speaker 2: and then when I did the homework, it did happen,
- 32:13Speaker 2: but in a very awful way. What I read sure
- 32:17Speaker 2: was much more sensationalized than what it really was. Yeah, okay.
- 32:23Speaker 2: So and a lot of times, one of the things
- 32:27Speaker 2: you talked about yesterday that there was one hundred percent
- 32:29Speaker 2: on board with is just unplugged for a while, right man.
- 32:32Speaker 2: You know, just people say, oh, I can't be without
- 32:34Speaker 2: my phone. Guess what, I leave my phone home when
- 32:37Speaker 2: I go out because I don't need to talk to
- 32:40Speaker 2: anybody special, Okay, And if I have emergency, my car
- 32:45Speaker 2: except for me, right, But if I have an emergency,
- 32:47Speaker 2: my car has a button and it calls the police,
- 32:50Speaker 2: that calls the ambulace. So I just sometimes I need
- 32:54Speaker 2: to unplug, and I'll go out for the day with ched.
- 32:57Speaker 2: We'll go to Burlington and back. Yeah, and I'll wanted
- 33:00Speaker 2: to get a phone case, so I'll buy the phone case.
- 33:02Speaker 2: So when I bring it home, I can put it
- 33:03Speaker 2: on my phone because I didn't take the phone with me.
- 33:06Speaker 2: A lot of times my son says, I tried to
- 33:08Speaker 2: call you, but you didn't pick up. And I'm like, oh,
- 33:11Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I didn't have my phone. Or I'll go
- 33:13Speaker 2: to the bathroom and take a shower and I leave
- 33:15Speaker 2: my phone.
- 33:16Speaker 3: You have your phone in the shower.
- 33:18Speaker 4: No, what?
- 33:19Speaker 2: No, Because I just don't think. I think sometimes you
- 33:22Speaker 2: need to unplug from the media. And if you're going
- 33:25Speaker 2: to scroll through Facebook, scroll through that to see what
- 33:28Speaker 2: your friends are saying. But if you see something political,
- 33:31Speaker 2: it's okay to just scroll past that and unplug from it.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I know, you know. I was on the down on
- 33:37Speaker 3: the waterfront in Burlington the other day and there's so
- 33:46Speaker 3: many people that are moving up and down that boardwalk
- 33:54Speaker 3: over by the Echo Center there. Yeah, and they're all
- 33:58Speaker 3: down here like this, yeah yeah, walking, yeah, jogging. I
- 34:06Speaker 3: saw people jogging, i know, looking at their phones with
- 34:11Speaker 3: the earbudson, looking and listening. Yeah, my god, mate, So
- 34:16Speaker 3: I look up. I look I know that. I know
- 34:20Speaker 3: you're right. I look up and there were breaks in
- 34:25Speaker 3: the in the clouds over the Adirondacks on the other
- 34:28Speaker 3: side of the lake, and the sun was there were
- 34:32Speaker 3: these sunbeams that were coming through right that were lighting
- 34:36Speaker 3: up the tops of the Adirondacks, which were white with
- 34:41Speaker 3: snow caps, and there was some snow. There were little
- 34:45Speaker 3: like snow flurries and stuff that were captured in the
- 34:50Speaker 3: beams of the sun coming down, and it was unbelievable.
- 34:56Speaker 3: It was so beautiful. I'll you know, I did take
- 34:58Speaker 3: a picture. I'll share the pic sure if I can
- 35:01Speaker 3: remember after I get off the air.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Here, Okay, all these people miss that, yeah, yeah, because
- 35:07Speaker 2: we're looking because they don't know how to unplug. And
- 35:10Speaker 2: that's why, God, man, I spend a lot of time unplugged,
- 35:14Speaker 2: because I mean, you've called me and been like, what
- 35:16Speaker 2: the fuck? He doesn't pick up his phone? Yeah, And
- 35:18Speaker 2: then you'll send me a text and an hour later
- 35:20Speaker 2: I'll respond.
- 35:22Speaker 3: I what I love that. I love that. I seriously. Yeah,
- 35:27Speaker 3: I'll say that to any of my friends. You talk
- 35:30Speaker 3: to me when it's a good time for you, right,
- 35:34Speaker 3: and not a minute sooner?
- 35:36Speaker 2: Right. Well, And that's why I said, you know, all
- 35:39Speaker 2: these things you're worrying about. This guy who's paying people
- 35:42Speaker 2: to do crowds and is it real, isn't it real? Whatever?
- 35:46Speaker 2: Does it matter to you?
- 35:47Speaker 3: That's the that's the question.
- 35:49Speaker 5: You know.
- 35:49Speaker 2: If you're giving that much weight to that, then then
- 35:52Speaker 2: you need to go find a hobby. Yeah, and I'm
- 35:55Speaker 2: not saying that's sarcastically, no, I know I need to
- 35:58Speaker 2: find a hobby. You need to find something that can
- 36:01Speaker 2: occupy your mind in the positive. You know a perfect example.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I was talking to Masmo last night and we very
- 36:07Speaker 2: rarely get to talk. We talk for about forty five minutes,
- 36:11Speaker 2: which is the longest we ever have. Your son, Yes,
- 36:14Speaker 2: and he and I were talking about the same thing
- 36:18Speaker 2: that he says, well that I have so many things
- 36:20Speaker 2: going on in my life, but I'm not enjoying anything.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I said, well, what do you enjoy? He said, well,
- 36:25Speaker 2: I don't have time for what I enjoy. I says,
- 36:27Speaker 2: there's your biggest mistake. Because if you have a passion,
- 36:31Speaker 2: Jed's passion is drawing, Okay, he loves to draw, he
- 36:34Speaker 2: loves to sketch. Those are his things, yeah, not even
- 36:37Speaker 2: the woodworking, his drawing, okay. My passion is my music Okay,
- 36:42Speaker 2: my piano, my keyboard and music around me. So I
- 36:46Speaker 2: said to maas you need to find that passion and
- 36:51Speaker 2: take a piece of that and incorporate it into every day.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Because if you're so consumed with life itself that you're
- 36:59Speaker 2: not living, okay, that that what President Trump did, or
- 37:03Speaker 2: what Biden used to do, or what the republic. If
- 37:06Speaker 2: you're so consumed with all of that things you need
- 37:10Speaker 2: you need to pull back from that a little bit
- 37:12Speaker 2: and find one of your passions that you can fill
- 37:15Speaker 2: in a little bit. So and when you're doing that passion, unplug,
- 37:20Speaker 2: shut your phone off, and draw. When I play the keyboard,
- 37:24Speaker 2: I don't have the phone next to me. If somebody calls,
- 37:26Speaker 2: I'm going to stop. If I'm in the middle of
- 37:28Speaker 2: playing a concerto, I'm certainly not going to stop to
- 37:31Speaker 2: answer a phone.
- 37:32Speaker 3: So so I just.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Keep the phone in the whole different room, Okay. And
- 37:40Speaker 2: that's what you got to do. And if you're so
- 37:42Speaker 2: worried about this guy that we spoke to yesterday who
- 37:45Speaker 2: wasn't necessarily treated as fairly as he should, and yet
- 37:48Speaker 2: he eloquently handled everything thrown at.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Him, I sent him an email last night and thanked
- 37:53Speaker 3: him procusely.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're if you're so concerned that about that,
- 37:57Speaker 2: and you're so concerned about what's happening in this country.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Step back. I challenge people to shut their phone off
- 38:04Speaker 2: for four hours and do something else.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and then when you get back to.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Your phone in four hours, you're gonna be like, Oh,
- 38:11Speaker 2: that wasn't too bad because it took me a while
- 38:14Speaker 2: to unplug. But now when I unplug, I unplug. You know,
- 38:18Speaker 2: nine o'clock at night. I turned my phone off completely
- 38:21Speaker 2: at nine every single night, and anybody who calls it
- 38:24Speaker 2: text me after nine. I'll get it in the morning. Yeah,
- 38:28Speaker 2: you know, beautiful words coming in, just saying God, that
- 38:32Speaker 2: was deep. And by the way, had we no birthdays today?
- 38:35Speaker 3: Yeah, we do it.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I'll get to them in a second. Calm down, I'm
- 38:38Speaker 2: just calm down.
- 38:40Speaker 4: I'm just saying.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Chuck just wrote in says you need to make time
- 38:44Speaker 3: for yourself, for your happiness. Otherwise, what's the point of life.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Live the life you were given. Remember, we are all
- 38:54Speaker 3: winners out of those billions of little Can you see
- 39:05Speaker 3: the comment there, This one I didn't read first any way.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Jesus God, you know.
- 39:18Speaker 2: A lot.
- 39:19Speaker 3: I don't handswer at the devil's work. I mean, this
- 39:21Speaker 3: is all true stuff.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but see, these are the lessons we were taught
- 39:25Speaker 2: when we were younger, right, okay, And so it's easy
- 39:29Speaker 2: for us to say that, but the young generation will
- 39:31Speaker 2: be like, I don't handle what what are you talking about?
- 39:33Speaker 2: What is that? And those are very important statements. They
- 39:36Speaker 2: sound ridiculous, but they are important statements because if you're
- 39:40Speaker 2: left to your own devices to think about all the
- 39:43Speaker 2: stuff that's going on, positive and negative, you you fill
- 39:47Speaker 2: up so much of your brain that then you're like,
- 39:50Speaker 2: oh my god, I have such a headache all the time.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I got to go see the doctor. Why don't you
- 39:54Speaker 2: just stop worrying about all that shit and let your
- 39:57Speaker 2: head rest? But what the fuck do I know?
- 40:02Speaker 3: Our good friend Glenn, who is not able to tune
- 40:06Speaker 3: in this morning, he's gonna go back and watch this later.

- 40:52Speaker 3: finding the current political environment and Shenanigan's have made me
- 40:57Speaker 3: speak out yesterday. It cost me one of my Republican friends.
- 41:07Speaker 3: It's a shame. And then he goes on and he's
- 41:12Speaker 3: talking about how he's an independent voter and so on
- 41:15Speaker 3: and so forth, but then closest by saying I will
- 41:19Speaker 3: always stand by my friends of either party, right, And

- 41:31Speaker 3: wonderful friends and family, thank you for the laughter we share,
- 41:36Speaker 3: the grace you give, and the countless ways you make
- 41:39Speaker 3: life richer simply by being in it. Sometimes I forget
- 41:44Speaker 3: to say it, but your presence means the world to me,
- 41:47Speaker 3: and I am endlessly grateful for each of you.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Yep, Dahn, It's like and that's the thing. If you're
- 41:57Speaker 2: gonna let politics or religend divide you from your friends,
- 42:01Speaker 2: I know, man, You know everybody is entitled to an opinion,
- 42:05Speaker 2: and it doesn't make them right or wrong, except for
- 42:07Speaker 2: all my opinions. Those are all right, But I mean it,
- 42:12Speaker 2: I can't. I can't do that. You know. My one
- 42:16Speaker 2: of my dearest friends, one of Jed's man crushes, okay,
- 42:22Speaker 2: he votes Republican and he stands by it. And I
- 42:26Speaker 2: had a friend over the other day that I haven't
- 42:28Speaker 2: seen in a long time, and he's one hundred percent Republican.
- 42:31Speaker 2: He's like, oh, Trump is really good. He took Venezuela.
- 42:34Speaker 2: That's right, we're showing our strength and he's very trump Okay,
- 42:38Speaker 2: but guess what. We still played cards. You know, we
- 42:43Speaker 2: just didn't talk about it, all right, and if it
- 42:46Speaker 2: did come up, I.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Just kept quying other things that you guys haven't common joy.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Yes, there's too many things and it's not and it's
- 42:54Speaker 2: Are there.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Other things that we have in common that we can
- 42:57Speaker 3: talk about? Do we love hiking? Do we love certain
- 43:00Speaker 3: kinds of music?
- 43:01Speaker 2: Right? Go to a concert together or whatever it is.
- 43:03Speaker 2: It's like food, you know, I'll be like, I'll be like,
- 43:06Speaker 2: oh my god, I can't stand peace, and people like, really,
- 43:09Speaker 2: what's wrong with you? Oh my god? They're so good
- 43:11Speaker 2: in this and that you don't like peace. Ah, shame
- 43:14Speaker 2: on you. And I'm like, dude, it's a preference. I
- 43:18Speaker 2: don't like peace, period. It's not the end of the world.
- 43:22Speaker 2: And don't try to convince me that I like them. Well,
- 43:25Speaker 2: if you know, if you make them this way and
- 43:27Speaker 2: you put bub bah and I don't care. I can't
- 43:30Speaker 2: eat them in a pot pie and I love pot pie. Okay,
- 43:34Speaker 2: why because I don't like peace. I picked them out,
- 43:37Speaker 2: and people tell me what I should like and what
- 43:39Speaker 2: I shouldn't like. Well, it's the same thing with politics.
- 43:42Speaker 2: You're you're choosing your political stand over your friends, you know.
- 43:48Speaker 2: And if your convictions are that strong that you hate
- 43:51Speaker 2: Democrats because you're a Republican or vice versa, if you can,
- 43:55Speaker 2: then you really your priorities in life and living is
- 43:58Speaker 2: just not correct.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Yeah, well they're out of whack. Yeah, and you're gonna
- 44:03Speaker 3: lead a long, miserable life lonely.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Who wants a yes person as a friend. I don't.
- 44:12Speaker 2: I want a friend that can challenge me. I want
- 44:14Speaker 2: a friend that can love me no matter what I do,
- 44:16Speaker 2: however I do it. Yeah, and challenge me and say,
- 44:20Speaker 2: you know, I'm not thinking you're right there. But if
- 44:22Speaker 2: that's the way you believe I still love you and
- 44:25Speaker 2: challenge me. I don't want somebody that if I say,
- 44:27Speaker 2: oh my god, I'm so tired. Oh yeah, I know
- 44:29Speaker 2: what you mean. Oh yeah, I don't want the yes friend.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Let's let's get some some really uh. Let's get some
- 44:40Speaker 3: really deep, insightful uh analysis of everything that you're saying
- 44:47Speaker 3: right now from from Chuck? Okay, all right, are you ready?
- 44:53Speaker 3: I'm ready to go, Chuck? What are you saying?
- 44:59Speaker 2: I was thinking about.
- 45:02Speaker 6: One thing that always bothered me about aging, wrinkles and saggy.
- 45:08Speaker 6: They always say it's because the atmosphere, the gravity pushing down,
- 45:15Speaker 6: But yeah, why is it only mammals?

- 54:12Speaker 3: get it back on, but anyway, I just wanted to

- 56:39Speaker 3: talk about. What what what is your what's your take
- 56:43Speaker 3: on yesterday?
- 56:45Speaker 7: Oh you already know my take on yesterday. That kind
- 56:49Speaker 7: of stuff is foolish. That's just dangerous. I mean it's
- 56:52Speaker 7: a lie. I mean you go to those type of
- 56:55Speaker 7: things and you see all that support, and then you
- 56:57Speaker 7: find out half of them are paid for.
- 57:00Speaker 5: Man, come on, I'll stop it.
- 57:01Speaker 2: It's been happening for years, long before anybody was paid for.
- 57:05Speaker 7: Now now we know, and now we know the truth,
- 57:08Speaker 7: and now it's kind of a bummer.
- 57:09Speaker 2: No, it's not because you're allowing that to bother you.
- 57:11Speaker 2: How does that affect you in any way? Well, it's
- 57:15Speaker 2: bothering you bringing it up.
- 57:17Speaker 3: I think we should I think we should create I
- 57:21Speaker 3: think we should create a.
- 57:22Speaker 2: Why don't you just say what my brother says, I
- 57:25Speaker 2: don't care.
- 57:26Speaker 5: I think we should I don't give a shit.
- 57:28Speaker 2: No, I said, I don't care. You went and took
- 57:30Speaker 2: it to a foul language.
- 57:32Speaker 7: Well, I have to have my own catchphrase. I can't
- 57:34Speaker 7: steal you, brothers, I know.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Well, God bless you. I I read your thing about
- 57:38Speaker 2: your health and it looks like things going in a
- 57:40Speaker 2: positive directions.
- 57:42Speaker 5: Buddy, I can't believe it, dude.
- 57:44Speaker 7: I mean, I did everything the doctor's told me to do,
- 57:46Speaker 7: and it looks like I might actually push.
- 57:48Speaker 5: Out of this.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Yes, reversing type one type two, type.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Two, Yeah you can. I I went through the exact
- 57:56Speaker 2: same thing, and my type two is pretty eminent. That
- 57:59Speaker 2: they were thinking about giving me the insolent shots and
- 58:04Speaker 2: then they got me off. Now they put me They
- 58:06Speaker 2: put me on that shot which helps with the A
- 58:09Speaker 2: one C, and my A one C got to the
- 58:12Speaker 2: point that my doctor said, damn, this is like the
- 58:14Speaker 2: lowest I've ever seen in a while, and he ended
- 58:17Speaker 2: up taking me off the type two list. Yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 5: Nice. Nice.
- 58:21Speaker 2: So there's definitely a way to reverse it if you
- 58:23Speaker 2: follow the rules. So good for you.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just just don't eat the.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Jew That's it, dude, that's it. That's the only thing
- 58:30Speaker 2: I want to talk about with that. Now I'm ready
- 58:32Speaker 2: to move on.
- 58:32Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, Well I had to call in and make
- 58:35Speaker 7: sure I got my two cents on the smashing thing
- 58:37Speaker 7: I want in.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Well, you do know that pennies no longer exist, so
- 58:40Speaker 2: your two cents doesn't exist.
- 58:42Speaker 5: Oh so I've been saving him in a jar? Does
- 58:47Speaker 5: that count?
- 58:48Speaker 1: No?
- 58:50Speaker 2: Oh? You know I love you.
- 58:52Speaker 5: I love you too, chucking.
- 58:54Speaker 3: What was that stuff you were talking about earlier there
- 58:56Speaker 3: with the birds and the trees and.
- 58:59Speaker 8: Odd don't even stands and ship you have feeding the
- 59:04Speaker 8: trees and mammals?
- 59:11Speaker 4: Oh?
- 59:12Speaker 2: Good lord, good lord. Hey, you know what I want?
- 59:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 59:17Speaker 3: What do you want?
- 59:18Speaker 2: Next Friday? I'm gonna say it straight up. Okay, next Friday.
- 59:22Speaker 4: But you always do.
- 59:24Speaker 2: I want Becky to call in and say hi to us.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Next Friday. I challenge that's never happened, Becky to call
- 59:35Speaker 2: in and say hi to us because I chat with
- 59:37Speaker 2: her online. And then the following Friday, I'm gonna call
- 59:40Speaker 2: Crystal out and make her do it to really, and
- 59:44Speaker 2: we'll talk about her products too. So, but yeah, I
- 59:47Speaker 2: challenge Becky to call in next Friday, and if you
- 59:50Speaker 2: don't know the number, just contact me or j D
- 59:53Speaker 2: and we'll give you the number of what to call
- 59:55Speaker 2: it and we'll tell you exactly what time to call
- 59:58Speaker 2: in the ready for you. Okay, all right, but that's
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: my And then following Friday is Crystal. So Crystal, you
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: got two weeks to figure out how charming you're going
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: to be? Yes, yep, yes, yep, yes, that's uh, that's
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: my challenge. Anything that burns yours.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: There's nothing that's really burning the old ass.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: And you know why, you know why I'm okay because
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: we're putting all the other stuff on the side and
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: we're looking at the positive. So there's nothing that burns
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: my ass.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Listen, it's okay though, if there is something that burns
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: your ass, right, if you you pull up to the
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: the gas pump, yeah, and that guy in front of
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: you went inside the shop, went inside the shop, and
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: you're waiting for the pump, or he didn't pull forward
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: enough and you can't get in, get in far enough
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: because he parked like an asshole.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Well, I'll be honest with you, that's that's okay.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: That burns your out.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: But you know what, a lot of it I blame
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: on the pumps and the companies. And I'll tell you why.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: If you go to Costco and you get gas at Costco,
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: because you remember, they're pump hose and it says right
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: there are long enough that you don't have to go
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: one way, go the other way, and the hose reaches
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: all the way around the car to the other side.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: So maybe if all these gas stations and stuff would
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: install all these better length hoses, then if somebody's parked
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: either the wrong way or they're blocking the pump or whatever,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: you can go on the other side and just pull
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: your hose all the way around.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Just my thought for the day. If you're going out
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: to the movies tonight or through the weekend FGB theaters,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: that's the site you need to get on for the
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Capitol Showplace theater in the Paramount Twin. If you haven't
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: gone to a movie lately, please treat yourself, unplug escape,
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: go out on a date, take your wife, take your
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: girlf take your partner. Just go and enjoy a movie.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: Get some popcorn, get a drink, sit down, yep, shut
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: the lights off, recline back and enjoy a movie right now.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: If you do, go see Avatar tonight at six point
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: fifteen at the Capitol Showplace. Yeah, you are investing three
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: hours and twenty two minutes on cartoons of your life
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: on Earth. Yeah to the movie. Yeah, I'm gonna tell
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: you something right now. I went and saw Avatar with
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: my buddy Andy. I don't want to offend the Avatar fans,
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: and I know there's plenty, right, I'm like an hour
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: and a half into this, ready to go to sleep.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: I fell asleep. I looked over and next to me
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: was my good buddy Andy. He was sleeping too.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: It was.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: In my opinion, Am I entitled to an opinion? You are, okay,
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: just making sure horrible movie?
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: I didn't enjoy the first the same thing around and
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: around and around and around. I mean, my god. Yeah,
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: but anyway, again, that's just my opinion.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: There's you have a tars like a cult, man, people
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: either love it or they don't.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, that's the same in anything. Sopranos was a cult, Okay,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: that was a cult thing that people either swore by
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: it and after they watched an episode they for a
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: little while they thought they were Tony soprano talking the
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: way he did and all that stuff, and then there
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: are people who hate it too much, violince that everything.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: It's playing tonight at six fifteen if you want to go,
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: which means you won't be home till about ten. Thank you,
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: so be prepared. Hamlet is also playing at six point thirty.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Mon We got a lot of award Have you seen it?
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: I haven't, but I know it got some huge recognition.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Yeah I haven't. I haven't seen it, but it's something
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: that I probably will wait until I can get it downloaded.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: I've heard great things about Marty Supreme. I have not
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: seen it, but that's playing tonight at the Capitol Show Place.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: The Coral is also playing. Yeah, let's see everyone else.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Oh the Housemaid. I'm not from with any of these
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: other movies I know, And there's some good one good
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: ones that are coming Wuthering Heights, The Moment, Mercy, and
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: a few others. But that's it for the Capital Showplace tonight. Now,
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: if you want to go to the Paramount Twin right
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: down the road here in Berry tonight at six thirty
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: is twenty eight years later, Bone Temple and Greenland two
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: Migration six thirty five tonight, So that's okay, they have it.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: So there you have it for FGB theaters. I want
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: to give a shout out to Volkswagen Montpelier Volkswagen, and
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: I'm going to show you what I'm looking at right
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: now this weekend. If you're thinking about getting a new rig,
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: stop over to Montpelier Volkswagen eleven eighty nine Route two
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: in Berlin. They're going to treat you right, They're going
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: to treat you fair, no bolt, They're gonna show you
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: what you can get into, what you can comfortably afford.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: And there it is. They got the the tig One
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: S for three ninety nine right now, zero down. That's
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: the twenty twenty six, by the way, and the new
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Jeta S three fifty seven. Yeah, those are just some
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: of the specials that are going on. And when you
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: go down there, say hi to Kristin over in service.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: She runs that department and she's fun, and give her
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: a little love.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Say hey Kristin and she'll be like, do I know you? No,
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: G told me to say hi. I should know Kristin.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: You should better better than I do. Right. Yeah, she's
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: she's just wonderful. I mean the people down there are
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: all wonderful. But Kristin I happen to know her. Yeah,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: and she knows above and beyond, and now that she's honest,
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: you know, she's honest with you about something, and she's
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: very calm, cool and collected about it. And she'll tell you, ah,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: you can you can hold for a little longer, Oh
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: you should get this fixed. Oh you know, maybe you
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: should look into another vehicle, or even if it's not hours.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: You know, she's she tries to be as honest. She's
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: not always up selling you. She's just telling you the facts. Sure, Oh,
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: they're just trying to take my money. No, the fact
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: is they're all the all the dealerships. The labor course
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: is one hundred and eighty dollars an hour, right, it's
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: not just hers, it's all of that. Sure, Right. So
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: she'll tell you, yeah, we can replace this and it's
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: going to be one hundred and eighty dollars for labor
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: for about two hours. Tells up absolutely, you know. So,
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: So I like her and I like them down there. Man,
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: I'm already trying to figure out what car I'm getting next.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Yeah, you're you're one of these guys where you're like
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: you get a car in like a year or two
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: later year.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: Every three years? Is that what it is is? Every
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: three years because I least because I don't put it
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: a lot of my Like I've had my car now
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: a year. It was brand new with zero miles on it,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: and I've got four thousand on it for the whole year.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: So when I trade my vehicle back in at the
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: end of the lease, it's I actually get money back
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: to put on something else because the value is higher
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: than what it should because the mileage is so low.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: And then you get those people that say, you know,
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: if you do that, you're making call payments for the
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: rest of your life. Blah blah blah. Yeah, thanks for
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: telling me about how to budget, because clearly we're doing fine,
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: so obviously that's not an issue. But I prefer new
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: things every now and then. I don't like things to
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: get old. I'm the opposite. I know you believe in
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: the nostalgia and the old.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: And when I buy something, I want to I want
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: to have it for the duration, right, I want to
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: have it for a long time.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: Yep, No, I know that, And that's why people say, oh,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: out with the old, in with the new. That's me,
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: you know. Now, one of the vehicles I'm looking to
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: buy is a very expensive one. It's over one hundred grand,
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: so I may look at used but I don't know yet.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: But yeah, I definitely enjoy and I've been a year
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: in and I'm already looking at ideas for what i want.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: All Right, Tomorrow morning, Saturday, ten thirty, Logan Lowis, Yeah,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: Logan Lowse will be right here with the Athletics podcast.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: He's going to be obviously talking a lot about the
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: playoffs this weekend. Which Dolphins are not in the playoffs,
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: neither of the Steelers. Oh, that's a whole nother he'll
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: talk about it. But one of the other things he's
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: going to be talking about. And I don't know if
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: you woke up to this news or not. It I
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: think it kind of broke last night. Federal prosecutors have
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: charged twenty six people. I want to see the look
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: on your face, to see how surprised you are an
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: alleged multi year scheme to fix at least twenty nine
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: professional basketball games in the United States and China, accusing
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: them of manipulating games to generate illegal betting profits. A
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: seventy page indictment. This has been going from September twenty
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: twenty two through February twenty twenty five, starting with Point
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: Shaving NCAA Division One men's basketball. We have nine players
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: from seventeen teams linked to the operation. Bribes allegedly ranging
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: from ten grand to thirty grand per game per game.
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: This is a conspiracy to commit wirefraud, wire fraud itself, bribery,
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: and sporting contest cities are some of the charges. Each
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: fraud charge carries a potential sentence of up to twenty years. Sam,
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: are you you're not surprised by this? No, No, you're
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: not surprised by now.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: There's been a lot of gambling scams and stuff over
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: the years with sports.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: And I'm the big one not long ago that apparently
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: the mob was involved with.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I'm surprised that it's happening on that level right now
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: because I would have thought by now the players and
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: the people that are involved with the players doing this
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: would know by now that you're going to get caught.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: You know, based on all the other people that have
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: gotten caught and shamed, you'd think that you would know better.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: But clearly they don't, and they'll they'll do what they
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: They're gonna get what's coming to them, and it's disciplint
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: because that would never happen from the Dolphins team. The
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Dolphins never would do that. So and you and you
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: can you if you don't believe me, ask Diane up
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: at the Meltdown, which is a fabulous place to eat,
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: by the way, but over at the Meltdown, Diane, she's
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: a die hard fan of the Dolphins, whether they suck
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: or not. Like me, she's got Dolphin things all over
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: the place. So yeah, but.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: I don't know if you know Joey Merlino my boss Philadelphia, Okay,
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: but he is like.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Why would I know him? Am I supposed to? Like, well,
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: you're Italian? Oh well, I mean that's every Italian buckled
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: down because apparently Wall Mob that's it.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: I mean, that's it right there. And listen to you.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: I mean everyone knows you. You get the long Island accent.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: Con I do have the long Guyland accent. Go and
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: you see coffee, so coffee. Joey Merlino is I heard
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: a podcast recently with him where he was like, if
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: you don't think that all professional and NCAA teams are
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: corrupt and rigged. You're you got your head in the sand,
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: including the NFL. Wow, It's like, why bother watching?
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: Then?
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: If you if this stuff is really not legit, why
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: bother watching any any major sporting event? I don't know. Man,
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: a whole nother podcast. Behave yourself, take good care of
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: each other. We we had some fun this morning, but
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: we also had some some messaging that I think all
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: of us, including myself, needs to listen to our own advice.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: Slow down, slow down, allow things in your life to percolate.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: Yeah, a little bit, and try to let the negative
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: roll off your back like water on a duck. You know,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: try give it, give it. If you're not even going
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: to give it an effort, then then you want to
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: be miserable. So try, you know, ask the challenging questions
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: and ask them to yourself. You know, there are times
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: I look in the mirror and I ask myself very
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: challenging questions like do you want to give up? Are
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: you finished with this? Do you have willpower to do
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: one more day? You know? Can you unplug for an
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: extra hour this week? You know, tough questions that you
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: don't want to answer. You know, are you that depressed
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: that you want to end it. You know, No, I'm
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: not that depressed. Well then how are you going to
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: get out of it? You know, talk to yourself, ask
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: yourself these important questions and find ways. Find things to
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: do that are more productive to your psyche, right, you know,
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: feed yourself, feed yourself good energy by doing things you enjoy,
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: you know, taking the good. If you have no good
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: in your life right now, find a way to take
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: it in. It's okay to.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: It's okay to worry a little bit about what's going
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: on right in the world. It's okay to worry a
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: little bit about your friends, or your family or yourself.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: But just try.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: But don't let that eat your brain.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Yeah, man, because if you if you let it, it
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: definitely will.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: It will. Yeah, as definitely will. Look at what it
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: did to Michael. Yeah, that outfit. That just tells you
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: right there, very sad. He clearly lets let somebody else
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: get into his brain. And now he doesn't even make
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: the you know, I mean, that's an effort. A look
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: like that is. It's a thing.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: It's a thing.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: God bless Michael. Poor Michael. Have a great weekend everybody,
- 1:16:16Speaker 3: and listen, I I you're probably gonna hear me say
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: this every Friday morning with you. If you're gonna be
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: out this weekend, if you're gonna be out driving anywhere,
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: please please don't drink. Right, sorry, you're gonna hear me
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: say it. Yeah, don't drink, go out and have fun,
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: do whatever you gotta do. The consequences could be fatal
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: to you or to some innocent person.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: You know. If you're drinking, you driving, you hit a
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: poe and you die that I don't care. I don't care.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: But if you're drinking, your driving you hit somebody else
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: who's innocent, shame on you.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: Yeah, just think, be curefully the person who is drunk
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: doesn't get hurt. Yeah, I know.
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: So let's let's just be small out there. That's all.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Go easy.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: Remember you're loved. Make some some good decisions. If if,
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: if you want to make bad decisions, that whatever, But
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: just don't make a decision that could take your life
