- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by the hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:42hypnosis session all about releasing stress.
- 0:46And I was working with a client that had certain health issues
- 0:50that would flare up if they were going through stressful periods
- 0:53in their life. And that was things like
- 0:55headaches and muscle soreness and even pain, but they would
- 0:59only have that in periods of stress.
- 1:02And it was almost like their body was giving them a warning
- 1:04signal that they need to relax, release the stress, change their
- 1:09priorities. And that's really what this
- 1:11session is all about. This particular client would
- 1:14also use alcohol as a way of relieving stress, but then that
- 1:18would actually contribute to more health issues.
- 1:21So we've also got the suggestion that alcohol isn't the best tool
- 1:25for them to actually do this. And things like relaxation,
- 1:28meditation, breath work is much more effective.
- 1:32So if you like the idea of releasing stress in a fast way
- 1:37or if you have health symptoms whenever you feel stressed.
- 1:40And sometimes people get psychosomatic things, it might
- 1:42be a rash or a bump or it might be poor quality sleep.
- 1:46It doesn't have to be things like a headache or muscle
- 1:50soreness that this client has. It could be whatever you have
- 1:53then I think you'll benefit from this session.
- 1:56Just be aware that some of the suggestions are going to be
- 1:59entirely calibrated to the client I was working with
- 2:01because I don't know who's listening to this after I
- 2:04actually do the recording. So if you do want a session that
- 2:07is calibrated just for you and your situation, there will be a
- 2:12link in the description where you can book a completely free
- 2:15consultation call. We'll have a chat on Zoom, and I
- 2:18might end up being your hypnotherapist.
- 2:20For now, though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 2:23won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 2:52Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:02resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:07And as you exhale, allow your eyelids to feel heavy and
- 3:15relaxed and give permission to start releasing, releasing
- 3:23stress and releasing tension. As you exhale, feel it leave
- 3:30your body. And as you inhale, I want you to
- 3:37imagine breathing in a bright white glowing healing light.
- 3:45Imagine that healing light going in through your nose, down your
- 3:50windpipe, into your lungs. And then imagine your heart
- 3:55transports that glowing healing light to whichever parts of your
- 4:02body need it most. Maybe you could imagine the
- 4:07muscles around your neck and shoulders.
- 4:11Perhaps you could imagine it there, somewhere in your head,
- 4:16in the exact location that maybe you've had headaches or
- 4:21migraines. Imagine it flowing into your
- 4:26tongue, around your lips, all of the elements around your mouth,
- 4:34your palate, your cheeks, even your taste buds.
- 4:41But as you exhale, I want you to imagine breathing out dark
- 4:46shadows that represent stress, tension, and worries as you
- 4:54consider this a transfusion. Breathing in that bright white
- 5:00healing light, allowing it to go to work, and then exhaling
- 5:10anything that's been the cause of pain or discomfort.
- 5:16And maybe that is stress, but maybe it's something else, your
- 5:23unconscious nose. And as you exhale, it's leaving
- 5:28your body, enabling you to feel deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 5:37And when you feel deeper, relaxed, isn't it natural to
- 5:44breathe even deeper? And when you breathe even
- 5:50deeper, you breathe even more of that healing white light.
- 5:57Imagine it going to work. And as you exhale, see the
- 6:03darkness. Feel the darkness leaving your
- 6:07body in that outward breath, each breath taking you deeper,
- 6:14relaxed. And as your body relaxes, your
- 6:20imagination awakens. That's it.
- 6:26Enabling you to start to imagine a place of calm tranquility, a
- 6:36safe, healing place. That's it.
- 6:46And there in that relaxing place, just imagine the most
- 6:52comfortable chair, maybe one of those comfy reclining chairs.
- 7:00And as you imagine resting on that reclining chair, continue
- 7:05to breathe in that healing white light and exhaling slowly Any
- 7:13stress, tension and worries. Anything that desires to be
- 7:18released. Your body already knows how to
- 7:24relax and your mind already knows what peace feels like.
- 7:34Each breath out can be like letting go of unnecessary
- 7:39tension, unhelpful worries, and traces of old historical stress
- 7:49that may have been trapped or stored or lodged in your body.
- 7:58And maybe you notice that even as you breathe, there's a subtle
- 8:03shift, just a little more relaxation in the jaw, the
- 8:12tongue resting more easily and the breath flowing more
- 8:18naturally. And as your body starts to let
- 8:24go, loosen, relax, your mind can begin to let go too.
- 8:33Because the stressful events that once caused pressure,
- 8:37anxiety, those, I'm now behind you.
- 8:45They are in the past, and the past no longer needs to echo
- 8:52into your present. I want you to think of a time
- 9:00when you're outside in the rain with an umbrella.
- 9:04The umbrella was useful while it was raining, but when the rain
- 9:10stopped or you returned inside, you just collapsed that umbrella
- 9:21and you put it away. And I want you to think of any
- 9:26soreness, aches or pains might have felt that they were
- 9:32necessary while you were going through that period that felt
- 9:37like a storm. There is no storm now.
- 9:43And therefore the headaches, the soreness, all those sensations
- 9:48in your mouth are no longer needed.
- 10:10Is Is just just like like an an incredible incredible instrument
- 10:12instrument that that sometimes sometimes holds holds the the
- 10:15last last note note of of a a song song that's that's already
- 10:17already over over. but as you exhale I wonder if you can
- 10:24imagine that sound fading gently into silence and what remains is
- 10:33stillness what remains What remains is balance.
- 10:43And what remains is peace. That's right.
- 10:56Your body now understands that it is safe to relax again.
- 11:03It's safe to release, safe to heal, and every cell can now
- 11:11begin to remember what this wonderful feeling of calm feels
- 11:16like. And you continue to breathe in
- 11:22then healing white light. But every time you exhale, the
- 11:29darkness becomes lighter, from dark clouds to light Grays to
- 11:41nothing at all. As that becomes a clue, then
- 11:47you've released what needed to be released.
- 11:55That's in so feel that calm expanding through your body,
- 12:01from your breath to your muscles, from your jaw and mouth
- 12:07to your shoulders, your chest, your back.
- 12:11As you can imagine the stress simply melting away, draining
- 12:18from the body like warm water down a gentle stream.
- 12:26And now, in the past, you may have used something to cope,
- 12:34cope with the pain, or just to distract.
- 12:38And maybe alcohol once seemed to offer temporary relief.
- 12:45Maybe it was a way of coping, of switching off.
- 12:51But your deeper mind now understands that what you were
- 12:57really craving wasn't the alcohol itself.
- 13:01Not the taste, not the smell, not the sensation.
- 13:06It was relief. It was peace.
- 13:10It was a rest bite. But what if you can access that
- 13:17same level of relief in a much more natural, healthier way?
- 13:25Maybe that's through slow breathing, through meditation,
- 13:31through gentle or mindful awareness.
- 13:37And each time you slow your breath, you are slowing the
- 13:42mind. And each time you meditate you
- 13:47are soothing the body. And each time you relax, you are
- 13:55healing the system that once felt overwhelmed.
- 14:03And maybe you can imagine a simple choice point in your
- 14:06mind, like where a flow chart migrates into two different
- 14:13directions, and one path leads to an old habit of escape and
- 14:21the other to a calmer, clearer state of awareness.
- 14:26And what if from this moment on, you find it easier to take than
- 14:35Second path? The path to the calmer, clearer
- 14:39state of awareness, where pain is just a signpost, the Canary
- 14:48in the coal mine, a feedback loop that perhaps you need to
- 14:55reprioritize, to rest and relax, to let go.
- 15:07Because that second path, the one that nourishes you, is the
- 15:12one that restores balance and a sense of harmony within your
- 15:17body and your mind. And as the body relaxes even
- 15:24more deeply, I wonder how long it will be before you notice
- 15:32signs of progress. I don't know if it will be
- 15:37hours, days, or weeks until you notice fewer headaches and
- 15:44perhaps no headache at all. I wonder how long it will be
- 15:51until your muscles feel lighter and more relaxed and more
- 15:57flexible, letting go of all of that tension.
- 16:05And I'm not sure when you will first notice a mouth that feels
- 16:11cooler, calmer, healed. All I know is that these are
- 16:19signs that your body is returning to harmony.
- 16:25And I want you to imagine that future, a future where your
- 16:29sleep becomes deeper. Imagine observing yourself
- 16:34waking up with enthusiasm, energy, that attitude of seizing
- 16:41the day, your energy and enthusiasm brimming and oozing
- 16:50like sunlight after a long winter.
- 16:55And I want you to see in that future where you're more like
- 17:02yourself again, see how that improved mood naturally
- 17:08strengthens your connection with the people you care about.
- 17:15Maybe you see yourself with your partner with an even stronger
- 17:20connection, even more of that harmony between the both of you.
- 17:32Because when you feel at ease inside, you connect more easily
- 17:39outside. More patience, more laughter,
- 17:47more smiles, more love. And as this transformation
- 17:52continues, your subconscious mind can make one final
- 17:57agreement to keep reminding you that the stressful events are
- 18:05over. This is the period of your life
- 18:12where you set the pace, you set the priorities, and you decide
- 18:18what you do or do not do. Because this is a new chapter.
- 18:26And what if it's a chapter of peace, calm, balance and harmony
- 18:31that then leads to even more health and vitality?
- 18:41Each day that passes, you'll find yourself breathing more
- 18:46freely, sleeping more deeply, waking more refreshed, and
- 18:54living more presently because your body is no longer a place
- 19:02of stress. Your body is a sanctuary of
- 19:07calm. And what if you're already
- 19:11proving that truth with every slow, long, relaxed, peaceful
- 19:19breath? And I'm not sure when you will
- 19:27breathe more from your diaphragm than your chest.
- 19:31All I know is when you practice breathing from your diaphragm,
- 19:38your body gets more oxygen and your nervous system calms down.
- 19:44And some people only need to practice for a few minutes per
- 19:48day before the body just likes breathing that way.
- 19:53It's time to return from your imagination in that recline
- 20:02chair, in that place of calm tranquility.
- 20:11But you return with the belief that your body knows how to
- 20:16heal. Your body knows how to release
- 20:19stress and you will find new ways of moving your life into a
- 20:27wonderful direction that doesn't require dependency on anything.
- 20:35So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 20:40nose. Just wiggle your fingers.
- 20:44Wiggle your toes, connect and calibrate into the here and the
- 20:48now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 20:57Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 21:06Open your eyes, open your eyes, 910.
- 21:10Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
