- 0:19[SPEAKER_12]: Welcome back to another episode of the Dog's Podcast.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_12]: raised Lord Jesus Christ.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_12]: We didn't live stream today's game because that would have been a terrible game until at least last week might have been a loss, but at least it was a loss that was worth watching and it was fun and we had stuff to talk about today.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_12]: What are you talking about today?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_12]: Other than just just...
- 0:43[SPEAKER_12]: What an awful, awful football team.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_12]: The Cleveland Browns are in the 2025, 2026 season.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_12]: So just tough one to watch today.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_12]: Honest to guy, the only reason I finished watching is because I do a podcast about the Cleveland Browns.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_12]: And I know I needed to talk about them tonight.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_12]: I felt absolutely no emotion watching this game.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_12]: I knew we were gonna lose.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_12]: It was just a matter of how bad would we lose?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_12]: And I found out pretty quickly it was gonna be bad.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_12]: And I just kind of sat there and watched.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_12]: scrolled on my phone, peaked up every once in a while.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_12]: There was no skin off my nuts on this one because I knew we were going to lose.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_12]: But that doesn't mean it was any, it was any less tough to watch if you're a browns fan, but it was we're going to get in every watch.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_04]: It was brutal.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_04]: I was surprised I was only 31 to be honest with you guys.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_12]: The Browns only scored three more points against the Bears this week than a high school team would've scored against them.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_12]: There.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_12]: It's just tough.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_12]: We got a lot of voicemails to get to tonight.

- 2:28[SPEAKER_12]: I got a pick and up a round one fantasy.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_12]: When the only league I made the playoffs was a dog pack league.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_12]: And I'm going to win big and that league to advance to the next round.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_12]: That feels good at least.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_12]: Other than that, not a lot of good stuff happened in today for us, but the discord's awesome.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_12]: There's brown screens in there all the time.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_12]: Old folks all the way down to 19 years old, so it's not like it's just so much old heads in there.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_12]: There's guys, there's gals.

- 3:07[SPEAKER_12]: So before we jump right in, we got a super chat that's just get to a real quick, it says from Nicole Marie, we appreciate it.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_12]: Forget drafting a QB, we need a whole new O-line, wide receiver room and coaching staff.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_12]: I would tend to agree.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_12]: Here's the thing.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_12]: Even though I believe Shador has shown me at least enough to where I'm like, put some pieces around the next year, I'm not saying it'll be great, but I'm saying he's at least showed me enough to see like, let's give him a proper evaluation with an actual NFL team around him.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_12]: And then if he isn't good, then we can draft a quarterback next year because if if he isn't, we'll suck again.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_12]: and we can we can take a quarter back the the year after so he's done enough for me I don't know if I would necessarily argue with people though that would pound the drum like if we're sitting at number one and mendoza's there I'd probably
- 4:02[SPEAKER_12]: I don't know, because I understand like you have the number one pick and there's a quarterback out there who's you know, 65 and with a big arm and can do all that stuff, so I probably won't argue with you based on the performance of Shidorah so far, but in my opinion, he's done enough so far to just warrant getting a realistic evaluation because it's tough.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_12]: It's tough to get a read on anything.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_12]: I might even look, when I'm trying to evaluate Shador and now my evaluation is, did he step up in the pocket?
- 4:33[SPEAKER_12]: Well, he's doing that, you know, he's not running backwards.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_12]: He's stepping up in the pocket.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_12]: Did he throw the ball away?
- 4:37[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, he's throwing the ball away more now.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_12]: A couple times here and there, but as we've discussed at length on this podcast, Shador is far from the only quarterback around the NFL who will hold the ball and run around a little bit and try to make a play and take a sec.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_12]: it's just, is he doing it like all the time?
- 4:54[SPEAKER_12]: Like he wasn't Colorado or even, you know, against the Ravens or in the, in the preseason game against the Rams?
- 5:02[SPEAKER_12]: No.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_12]: You know, he's, I've seen growth from that kind of stuff.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_12]: So, we've seen some nice throws.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_12]: It's just, there's nothing around him, and today, he did not play well today.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_12]: Like, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, he was not that good today, he struggled.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_12]: But the whole team sucks, you know what I mean?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_12]: So he was far from the only problem.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_12]: It's not like the Browns lost because Shador had an off game.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_12]: Shador had an off game in what was in just an abysmal performance on all fronts for the Cleveland Browns.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_12]: So that's just kind of how I felt about this one today.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_04]: all me to and the thing with the chador it cracks me up with people sometimes a lot of times really it's how unfair the criticism and evaluation is of him he'll get sacked to people oh there it is it's all he does is get sacked I'm like get sacked one time there like kill the boys get sacked on the other side of all every every quarterback gets sacked guys that's the name of the game for the defense are trying to get the quarterback down that's why you invest so much money in past rushers so
- 6:01[SPEAKER_04]: You're right, on a percent.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_04]: Was it a great game?
- 6:04[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_04]: I was at a good game.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_04]: No, not even close.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_04]: But there were some throws.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_04]: Some of those, he had two deep throws to Isaiah Bond and then a third that was just off.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I don't, did his arm get hit on that one that landed beside Bond and didn't go out and I had him.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_06]: I just saw those in a little miscommunic.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_06]: I figured Bond lost it in.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_12]: I couldn't.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_12]: I thought it looked like Shador couldn't step all the way into it came up like way short and left.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_12]: I couldn't.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_12]: I knew I'd have to go back and watch it again.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_04]: But either way, if he gets a hair of a second more to make a clean throw there and it's not, you know, negative 20 degrees.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, though the win that they're thrown into and everything there in Chicago, like those throws the bond are nice.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I'm looking for from my quarterback.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_04]: Can you make these downfield throws when a guy gets open?
- 6:47[SPEAKER_04]: one you have a guy who can get open and I say a bond can you can get open deep which is nice it would just be awesome if the browns had anything other than practice squad UDFA wider severs running around out there that announcers are like always doing his throw in her will fan i'm like who the fuck you wanted to throw two uh don't you want to have to Jerry Judy and guess what happens don't give me started on the color commentator for today for both teams i'm not just he was i almost had to mute the tv and it's not because he was just
- 7:17[SPEAKER_12]: Caleb Williams threw it like an incredible touchdown pass and he spent the next five minutes talking about how you can't make throws like that, you know, that's a teaching point, you know, you just can't get away with making those, it was a touchdown bro, he didn't get away with it.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_12]: I was listening to this like, this can't be a professional broadcast, who is this guy?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_12]: It was, it was awful on both sides, not just being like a browns homer.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_12]: I was texting I'm happy you mentioned it because I was texting in the discord about like I think I said it two or three times What is this guy talking about?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_12]: It was it was awful.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_12]: It was real bad No, I guess it's just a dress real quick.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_12]: Like you you said the past to Jerry Judy Just kid Jerry Judy off of my football team get him out.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_12]: I I don't know if there's been a browns player and like the last
- 8:11[SPEAKER_12]: five to 10 years that I've disliked more than Jerry Judy.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_12]: It's because it's the effort, it's the bad attitude, and then he comes out and he does something like, that could have been a better ball.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_12]: That we were, the team was not playing well in Shador, wasn't playing great either, but we finally had a drive going.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_12]: like in a meaningful time, not in the end, you know, when they're playing pre-vent defense, we actually had a drive going and if Jerry Judy catches that and it's a touchdown, it brings us within a 10, I believe, if I'm remembering correctly.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_12]: The defense, this was during like the two quarters of the game where the defense was actually playing well, who knows, I'm not saying we win.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_12]: You know, I, I, I have no,
- 8:59[SPEAKER_12]: No thoughts that we were going to win that game, right?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_12]: But who knows how the rest of it goes in terms of if the scores closer and we can stay with the trying to run a little bit more.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_12]: I think Quinceau Jenkins, I had 12 carries today.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_12]: You could stay in a more positive game script.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_12]: You've got a little bit of momentum.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_12]: Should doors kind of in a groove?
- 9:18[SPEAKER_12]: Like who knows what the rest of the game offensively looks like?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_12]: He couldn't have ran it out and handed it to Jerry Judy any better in Jerry Judy.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_12]: Let's go right off his chest and then just let's the guy take it from it.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_12]: Doesn't even when I first saw Jerry Judy fall, I was like, oh, touch down.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_12]: I thought it was like underneath them when you rolled over.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_12]: I was like, oh, that was sick.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_12]: And then the other guy had the ball and I couldn't believe it.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_12]: I'm like, just get him out of here.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, I did that.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, I got all get him out.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, oh, and then I looked, see if I'm like, wait, what?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: What?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: And then there's number one from the defense for the ball.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_06]: Dancing, dancing, dancing with the ball.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_12]: Should've known.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_12]: It was awful.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_12]: You knew it was going to be tough today too.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_12]: We have to address the online.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_12]: Our starting offensive line is not good.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_12]: And then four backups played.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_12]: How bad are the Browns backup offensive linemen?
- 10:07[SPEAKER_12]: If we've seen how bad the starters are this year, could not run the ball.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_12]: Bears don't even have a good run defense.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_12]: Could not run the ball.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_12]: Honestly, they didn't pass block that well.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_12]: He was under pressure, a ton.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_12]: I thought before the game kind of got away, and then you kind of started to see should do it kind of slip back into like pressing a little bit, holding the ball, because you're trying to make a play because we were down late.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_12]: I thought why the game was, it was never competitive that's beyond us, but I thought at least when the score was within reason, he only took one sack, if I remember right.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_12]: And I'd have to go back and see
- 10:42[SPEAKER_12]: if it was a line breakdown, or if it was like a coverage thing where they sent somebody extra and he needed to be able to account for that blitzer, they didn't really show a replay.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_12]: I didn't get to see it again, but I'm pretty sure before the game just got way out of hand, he only took there was only one sack if I remember correctly.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_12]: So his first interception I thought was a really good play by the lineback or kind of
- 11:04[SPEAKER_12]: fold him a little bit post nap.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_12]: It's going to happen to a rookie in his four start.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_12]: And then the the other at only I like legit interception.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_12]: I just thought it's going to be a tough throw.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_12]: He's trying to get it up over that guy in front of the safety.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, he would have to be a perfect throw.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_12]: The guy made a nice play.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_12]: And he
- 11:22[SPEAKER_12]: obviously you don't want to turn the ball over.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, but if you hit big plays at the same time, like you kind of take the good with the bad, obviously you don't want to throw three interceptions every game, but I don't know.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_12]: It just wasn't outside of a few throws.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_12]: It wasn't a great game, but like I said, he was he was far from the problem in terms of the issues in this game.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_06]: For the first time this season, this is the first time that immediately I was like the Browns are out of this.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_06]: This game is over.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_06]: It started off.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_06]: We let them get to the 50-yard line on special teams and do you recall how this went?
- 11:57[SPEAKER_06]: At the beginning of the game, I believe we had a full start.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_06]: Then we brought 12 men out on the field on offense.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_06]: If I'm correct.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_06]: We should have known, you know, we couldn't have gotten off to a more dysfunctional game script.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_06]: And then that was our scripted drive.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_06]: Those are first drive of the game.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_06]: And we just never got into rhythm.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_06]: We, the offense never looked great today.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_06]: It was dysfunctional.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_06]: We looked overman.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_06]: We looked like we were at the three wind teams today.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_12]: I said if you're going to get penalties now's the time to do it what a one point at one point in this game in the first quarter we had three penalties for six inches All right, right, you know what I mean so if you're going to get the penalties get them at the one yard line.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_12]: I guess that but yes
- 12:41[SPEAKER_12]: Um, so they didn't really hurt you.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_12]: I thought, like, after that penalty-wise, it kind of settled down.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_04]: If, unless I'm just paying close enough attention, I said on, I went back and looked.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_04]: We had five drives.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: I believe in the first half and four of them, if I'm not mistaken, four of them started off with a penalty.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_04]: No, I'm sorry.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_04]: Three of them started off with a penalty on first down.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_04]: and then another one started with a penalty on second and ten.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_04]: So we were behind the chains, like the whole first half.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_04]: Nice, every drive.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, for the game we had, where's it at?
- 13:15[SPEAKER_12]: Panel six for 21, man.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_12]: Six for 21.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_12]: That's crazy to have six penalties for only 21 yards.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_12]: That's those first three penalties being for a foot.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_12]: But so I was I was looking at numbers obviously we'll talk about more things and we'll get to voicemails, but I was looking at numbers and tell me if this concerns you at all, which we've kind of talked about this.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_12]: So Shidorah's got four start centers built now.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_12]: His next start will have the same amount of starts is done Gabriel.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_12]: Obviously Gabriel didn't finish that that fifth start.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_12]: He's played the Raiders, the 49ers, the Titans, the Bears.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_12]: He's got one win against the good teams.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_12]: The teams I consider good there, the 49ers, and the Bears.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_12]: He's got a 51% completion percentage, one touchdown, three interceptions, and he's thrown for a 326 yards.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_12]: So about a 153 yards a game, and then against the bad teams, I'd say the Raiders and the Titans, 55% completion percentage, four passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, two interceptions, and he has thrown for 573 yards in those games.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_12]: How much of it is, so I was trying to think about it like, is he only just shredding bad teams?
- 14:21[SPEAKER_12]: Because he's not that good or what's going on.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_12]: I think it's one of those things where when you're over match because you're personnel sucks.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_12]: that's gonna be magnified when you play a good team.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_12]: You know what I mean?
- 14:35[SPEAKER_12]: When you play the Titans and the Raiders, your poor supporting cast isn't as overmatched.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_12]: And so it's a little bit more of an even playing field.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_12]: And then when you play the Bears and the 49ers and your supporting cast is just getting absolutely raked, then you're gonna look worse.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_12]: So do you guys have any worry that it's been
- 14:57[SPEAKER_12]: better against the bad teams and frankly, kind of bad against good teams.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, Josh, I'll just just take it real quick, man.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not more, I'm not concerned.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not really concerned about what the opponent right now.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_06]: Honestly, for me, I'm just trying to get a fair evaluation for the next, whatever it is, you know, six, seven, eight games, which is already going to be incredibly hard to do because the offensive line is awful.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_06]: It is terrible.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_06]: It's impossible to tell.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_06]: what you even have with your quarterback because they can't hold up.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_06]: You don't have a run game presence because they can't get any kind of push at the line because so you're just one dimensional.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_06]: My thing is
- 15:43[SPEAKER_06]: As far as, I just want to see progression the next three games.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_06]: That's my biggest thing is I don't need it to be all while, you know, the QBR is through the roof, everything's great, no interceptions, anything like that.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_06]: I'm okay with interceptions at this point.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_06]: He's a rookie quarterback.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_06]: I think there's going to be some growing pins, especially with how depleted, talent-wise we are, but I'm not concerned as far as like the opponents.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say the same thing like I'm it doesn't really concern me too much at all that the splits in the breakdown because everybody that we're relying on to gain his evaluation is also a rookie and some of them are are undrafted rookies like you've got guy I made a note here like one thing I kept saying to myself over and over during this game there are multiple times where Harold Fannon I love the guy he's so good he's going to be a great player in this league for a long time he's a rookie he doesn't understand sometimes you had to come back to the ball.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like he let Defender just cut in front of him like the one in yourception was right in front of him because he just stopped turned around and stood.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_04]: Like you got to come back to your quarterback on those curl ross and things.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_04]: So it's just stuff like that.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_04]: And then, you know, we're relying on Gage Larva Dan and Isaiah Bond and Quintchon Jutkins can't do anything behind this offensive lunch.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_04]: Dorsanders are leading Russia the last two weeks in a row.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_04]: So if we actually had a competent offense around him and he was putting up those kind of splits, then I would be concerned.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_04]: But the state of this offense,
- 17:09[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know how anybody is supposed to get any accurate evaluation.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_04]: This episode is sponsored by Botan Sports.

- 17:55[SPEAKER_04]: And then the gifts that I really like to give family members and people like that would be the backyard games.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_04]: Get those for Christmas gifts because then they can hold on to those and break them out when the weather gets nice and it's like that Christmas gift that didn't get used right away at Christmas and they get to experience that joy again later in the year.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_04]: bad mitten outdoor volleyball, bachi horses, kickball, they've got a knockout game set and of course pickleball, which I know I've been saying on here I need to learn how to play.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't yet, but I do plan to learn at some point and I will be getting my first pickleball set from botten sports.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_04]: So head over to bottensports.com slash dogs and get 10% off your entire order with promo code dogs DAWGS when you check out.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_04]: That's botten sports BADEN sports.com slash dogs.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_12]: I agree it that's why like I'm looking for are some of his bad habits becoming less frequent And I think if you have eyes you can see that they are yeah, you know what I mean so Like I said I'm in the boat Put some players around them and and let's see what happens Because it's how how do you evaluate anybody like this?
- 19:08[SPEAKER_05]: Can't you honestly here?
- 19:10[SPEAKER_05]: Man, it's you know what I mean like that
- 19:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's, yeah, it's bad.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_04]: So what happened?
- 19:16[SPEAKER_04]: They can't even get the right place sheet in his wristband or what was it going on today?
- 19:20[SPEAKER_04]: I heard three different stories about that.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_12]: So apparently they had one wristband and then they made alterations like they changed up a couple things and he didn't get the updated one or something like that
- 19:30[SPEAKER_06]: How does that happen, bro, on a professional football team at that level?
- 19:37[SPEAKER_05]: And he's the starting quarterback.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_05]: You would think that you're the one person to make sure.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_12]: Make sure.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_05]: They get the updated sucking wristband back.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_05]: The quarterback.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_04]: He's up to you.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_04]: So good.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_04]: And one that he was just a game they asked Kevin about it and he said the wristband just got something on it something something was like stuck on or whatever He said or whatever and then like he said we got to fix that pretty quickly and then they asked Shador he said oh, yeah My wrist it fell out on the sideline and got muddy or something.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_04]: I've heard so many different stories about this wristband now
- 20:12[SPEAKER_12]: At least the sideline reporter said something about, at least that's why I thought I heard on the broadcast.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I heard.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_12]: That's what I heard.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_12]: We'll just, we'll chalk it up to wristband gate.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_08]: Uh-huh.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_12]: So who knows?
- 20:24[SPEAKER_12]: Um, now here's the thing, I guess we can't, we don't want to just spend the whole time talking about the, the terrible offense because that's just be honest.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_12]: the defense is not illegal.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_12]: It's not only anytime this defense faces a good quarterback in a creative offensive coordinator, they get kind of embarrassed and it's not just this year, people will talk about it being this year.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_12]: It's going all the way back to the year we won 11 games with five different starting quarterbacks.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_12]: Gardner mentioned dice this defense
- 21:01[SPEAKER_12]: uh... in indianapolis we we won because honestly we got a lucky late passenger clearance call uh... guard on ministry through like three hundred yards you're right and that game you know and then we go to we go into Houston that year against uh... the Texans room with uh... c.g.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_12]: the rookie qb in uh and uh... at the time everybody kind of said it considered like an up-and-coming offensive coordinator shred this defense uh...
- 21:30[SPEAKER_12]: Anytime we play anybody, slightly creative with a good quarterback, this defense gets exposed.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_12]: It's just, it has been now the entire time Jim Schwartz has been here.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_12]: It's been the same things beat this defense now and I talked about this last week is that beat it when he first walked in the door.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_12]: Counters, jet sweeps, screen passes, we can't defend him.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_12]: So at this point, the only, the only thing I'm watching Brown games for is Miles Garrett to get
- 22:00[SPEAKER_12]: It sucks, like Shelby Harris just don't touch a man.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_12]: He tried not to.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_12]: You see him, you see.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_12]: He like fell off, and it sucks that they took it away.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_12]: It's in change it to a half.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_12]: I am, I'm a little bit nervous, like it's gonna be tight and it sounds stupid to say miles might not get a sack or two sacks in the last three games.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_12]: It's gonna be tough to get when against the bills.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_12]: Um, like you heard him say before like the Steelers, they just were rather hold him than give up a sack.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_12]: Then, uh, and they don't, they won't call it.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_12]: He gets held every play.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_12]: He gets tackled every play.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_12]: They don't call it.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_12]: So, I mean, this best bet is going to be the, the bankals game.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_12]: And I don't want to have to wait.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_12]: I don't want to, yeah.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_12]: That's the last game of the year, right?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_12]: Yes.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, and since I don't want to I don't want to wait until the last game of the year for it to happen.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_12]: I don't want TJ what people to say took miles, seven teams to games to do what TJ what didn't 16 games or whoever I just don't want to hear.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_12]: So I would like him to do it before then.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_12]: But the defense is falling off a cliff, especially the run defense.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_12]: Do you remember the first couple games this year?
- 23:06[SPEAKER_12]: The run defense was incredible.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_12]: We said that Josh Jacobs.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_12]: And it's like that lion's game.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_12]: They said it was one of their players.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_12]: So they haven't faced a run guy in like ours.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_12]: And our defense kind of puffed our chests.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_12]: And we were all like, we haven't seen defense like ours.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_12]: And then they ran all over us.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_12]: And since that point, people just run the ball on us.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I had those stats on Thursday's show and it was the first three games were holding opponents to 57 yards rushing like as a team, 57 yards in a game for the first three games.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_04]: And ever since then it's been 117 on average with games of like maybe a two games we gave up 177 last week was 184 and today was 142 or whatever.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_04]: Bad.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, speed on the edge and then especially up the middle up the middle is we are getting absolutely gash that I I don't understand
- 24:03[SPEAKER_12]: Well, on their one touch down run, it looked like we went out of our way to not tackle him.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_04]: Amen.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_12]: It did.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_12]: After Miles Harden has him in like this like the one thing the color commentator got right in this game.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_12]: Miles Harden steps up and he's right there.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_12]: He just doesn't tackle him.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_12]: Miles Harden's trash by the way.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_12]: And just doesn't tackle him.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_12]: And then it's like everybody else was just like, oh shit.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_12]: don't tackle them and they just like ran away.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_12]: It was like like he had a virus or something.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_04]: Let me say this.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_04]: real quick, I put a post out the other day.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm social media and it was the last two drafts for Andrew Barry before this one.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_04]: And I like put a check mark by one name out of the two drafts and everybody else was either an X or like a question mark.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_04]: And I got so much push back on Facebook from people telling me that Miles Harden is actually a good slot corner.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_04]: He's been solid for us.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_04]: So many.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not talking like one or two.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_04]: So many people took
- 25:08[SPEAKER_12]: He's, he gets burnt, doesn't tackle penalties.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_12]: No, I'm telling everybody on the defense.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_12]: The offense has been so atrocious the last two years that everybody else on the entire other side of the ball and defense.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_12]: They just get everything, the defense does poorly.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_12]: It's because they're tired from the defense, the offense, not ever doing anything.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_12]: Well, that's because the defense, you can't just expect the defense to do this,
- 25:36[SPEAKER_12]: I can expect a defense to stop the run.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_12]: Okay.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_12]: I can expect a defense to not let Tony Pollard run for 180 yards or whatever it was.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_12]: You know, I can expect a defense to not let Carson Wainskow down the field on them in score, touch it on in a minute, to win a game.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_12]: These are things I expect out of my defense that likes to walk around and beat their chest and say to the best defense in football.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_12]: So, yeah, they get such a pass.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_12]: And I like Jim shorts, but he gets such a pass.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_12]: People want him to be our head coach.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_12]: But you guys talk about adjustments.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_12]: I have already talked about this.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_12]: What is he adjusted on the defense?
- 26:10[SPEAKER_12]: We still get beat by the same things.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_12]: We still get beat by jet sweeps, counters, creepasses.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_12]: It's the same thing every week for the last four years.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_12]: And people want him to be the head coach.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_12]: It's just all three phases are done.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_12]: There it is.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_12]: It's all three phases are done.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_12]: We haven't even talked about these.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_12]: How is the special teams?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_06]: I was thinking when you were talking about that, that they were so tired from always having a punt that that's why our special teams also sucks too, bro, that it's all coming together for me.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_05]: We're out here.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_05]: You're making it make sense for me now, bro.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_12]: This is the special teams set this game up to fail from the start.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_12]: Let them return it to the 50.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_12]: And the defense, this is the only drive in the first quarter that they were good, forces a 3 and out.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_12]: But because you gave up a kick return to the 50, now they put it and it's down at our 1.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_12]: If you just hold them, you know, a normal kickoff return to the 30 or the 25 and we force the 3 and out, now we're starting, it's our probably our own 25 to 30 instead of the 1.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_12]: So it's just like one drive is immediately eliminated from this, and then now only that, now you have to kick a punt out of your end zone, and then you get to bolt the 45.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_12]: Yep.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_05]: How about the first two possessions are from the, our side of the field.
- 27:37[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_05]: What about even on that first punt?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_06]: First Chicago, our player runs up after they touch the ball and he just touches the ball for no reason.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_06]: Just walks up and touches the ball and then backs away from it.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_06]: I was watching the game and I was just like that.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_06]: It might be, even though the ball is down and everything, thank God, I'm thinking that was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my life.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_06]: Because if they decided, oh, that's still a live ball, they could just walk that ball in.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_06]: It's stupid.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_06]: I don't understand what we're doing there.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_04]: The special team's coaching is a bismal because you see different mistakes from gauge larvae down all the time, but it's not the first time he's made those mistakes.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, what are we doing here?
- 28:19[SPEAKER_12]: Listen, people like to say I don't admit when I'm wrong.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_12]: I don't know if I've ever been more wrong about anything other than when I said Gage Larva Dan is a good part returner and maybe we found our guy.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_12]: It's like the Lord is smiting me for saying that because ever since I said that, he's been awful.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_12]: just been atrocious back there.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know why.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_12]: A lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of, a lot of,
- 28:53[SPEAKER_12]: It's just been like he just jumped off of the Grand Canyon and just splattered at the bottom.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_12]: Because it's like you can't even have him back there.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_12]: It's just, it's like watching a train crash.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_04]: It's awful and kick off.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we might as well just do touchbacks every time because I don't know what to the 40.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I would do that.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_04]: I would do it because I think at least you get 10 yards.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_04]: a physician in your favor because otherwise they're going to the 50 every time yeah every time and then our guys this is what pisses me off every time we return a kick we run to like the 15 and then we run right into the back-hine side of somebody in front of our old guy we don't get to the 20 I'm like this is this is the Cleveland Brown's a nut shell right here they get the ball the 50 on their returns and we can't even get to the fricking 20.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_12]: I watch a lot of other NFL games, and teams almost break kickoff returns for touchdowns, like I see a lot get to like the 40, because it didn't your kickoff rules.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_12]: The only team I never see do that is us.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_12]: We give them up.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_12]: We give them up.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_12]: Teams will return to our 40 or 50 or longer on a pretty consistent basis if we're being honest.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_12]: But I almost never see us have a good kick return.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_12]: I'm like, wait, the league set it up.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_12]: to make it easier to get kickoff returns.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_12]: And we are worse at it now than we would have been when they just kicked it into the end zone and we got it at the 25 every time.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_12]: How did this happen?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_12]: It's baffling, it's baffling, it's baffling.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_12]: It's like, I want to be super pissed about always giving up kickoff returns to our 35 or 40, but a lot of teams are giving up long kick returns.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_12]: It's just not when they play us.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_12]: Like, why are we the only team on watch that can't get a kick off return?
- 30:40[SPEAKER_12]: There's too many guys there.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_12]: There's a lot of returners, man.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_06]: They're the only team that I watch that I say, we don't do a lot of things that the other teams are doing in the NFL.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_06]: Like winning consistently, you know, all those things.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_04]: the leaks that's up so many things to be in favor of more offent and scoring points and somehow we have the our offense gets worse we don't score any points and it's but I'm more now special teams killing our field it's true to it's like
- 31:12[SPEAKER_12]: Josh, we played at the same high school.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_12]: Obviously, a high school football and NFL football are different, but if you remember like our special team's coach, you had a chart, and he was like, this is the statistics.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_12]: If you start here, you have this percentage of score touchdown.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_12]: If you start here, you have this percentage.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_12]: So I need to show that to the Browns.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_04]: I thought they used the analytics.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_04]: I guess maybe because they got the wrong analytics, we discussed his last week, right?
- 31:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, wrong analyst.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_12]: There's like hidden field position things like it, especially the NFL, it's hard to drive 90 yards or 85 yards every freaking time you have, especially then when you lack explosive athletes on the outside.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_12]: So it's not like you're hitting big play after big play after big play.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_12]: Guess what?
- 31:52[SPEAKER_12]: It's tough to go a methodical 12 to 15 play drive every single time you have the ball.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_12]: Like, could we maybe want set up a kicker turn or a punt return that gets us in and have it?
- 32:02[SPEAKER_12]: At least if we can get a first down, then we flip field position.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_12]: So they're kicking out of their ends on for once.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_12]: Instead of just getting the ball of our 50 every time, I think half of the teams who play have, they score 50 points, only had 280 yards of offense because they started at the 50 every time.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_04]: You're right.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's a set of box scores like that where they've got, you don't have that many yards in a game, but yet they beat the crap out of us.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's because they get to start at the 40 or 50 every time.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_04]: Or we just let him score on a kick return.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_12]: It's not the funniest thing today.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_12]: After the one of our picks, I messaged to discord and said, how many plays until the defense gives up the walk in touchdown.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_12]: And it was one play on the K. Williams through.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_12]: The touchdown passed to DJ Moore.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_12]: And Andrew Jackson said too.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_12]: And then he said, never mind, just one.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_12]: It's like I knew it.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_12]: It's like I've washed a brown scheme this before.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_12]: I knew our defense is so bad in sudden change that I knew, well after that pick, they were gonna get an easy touchdown and they got it in one freakin' play.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_12]: Just mental digits on the defense.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_12]: Thank you for the super chat.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_12]: Let me see, do Nard Noel.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_12]: If I read that right, we appreciate it.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_12]: Tony Grosy came out and said, only a few players came to play and the Shidorah was one of them and he was impressed with his play and fight.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_12]: like I said until the game was like way out of control he wasn't he wasn't playing great but he made a couple big throws but he was definitely not the problem.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_12]: I think you saw him just trying to press a little bit once it got late and I mean by that point.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_12]: I don't want him to do it because every place in a valuation you know what I mean but
- 33:41[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, we were down by like a hundred or my own as well, been a hundred.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_12]: So, um, well, and why the game was competitive, you didn't see a lot of that.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't see after the game, any official update on Tevin Jenkins, but so we got right guard, white, teller, bench, slash injured.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, I don't think he's playing the rest of the season, because they want to get to look at Tevin Jenkins goes out in this game, and we've got practice squad.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_04]: I think they just signed this guy with UDF at whatever.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_04]: Garrett Belinger is now your right guard for the back after that game today.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, who?
- 34:15[SPEAKER_12]: Here we are.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_12]: It really sucks for the Browns because they probably need five new starting offensive.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_12]: And three new backups.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_04]: I'm telling you, because I keep seeing, and I know you've said this earlier in the year.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you still feel this way, but I still see people saying like the Browns aren't that far away from being
- 34:37[SPEAKER_04]: is going to take you have to hit everything you sign everything you draft has to be a home run hit not not like a good pick up pick up or whatever has to be a home run for this team to be basically be the off season you just had can you do it with these in a row yeah but now on offense um... do you want to do the quick commercial come back and get to these voicemails we have a lot of it yep let's do that we'll do a quick break we'll be right back hang with us
- 35:04[SPEAKER_04]: This episode is sponsored by Kalshi.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: Browns fans, are you ready to put your money where your predictions are?
- 35:10[SPEAKER_04]: With Kalshi, America's number one regulated prediction market, you can legally trade on events that actually matter to you.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_04]: And the best part is you don't need to predict specific stat lines in Capio a seven leg parlay just to win big.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_04]: With Kalshi, the objective is either yes or no.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_04]: Will the Browns win their game this week?

- 36:39[SPEAKER_12]: All right, before we dive into these voicemails, we have a super chat from Nancy, we appreciate it.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_12]: She says coaching matters, new head coach turn around the jags and the bears.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_12]: I was a defender of keeping the coaching staff, the personnel is terrible, I still think the personnel is terrible and I still don't think any head coach would
- 36:58[SPEAKER_12]: be that great call, you know, with this personnel, that being said, you can't lose to the Titans.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_12]: You can't lose and it's not just losing.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_12]: We're not losing competitive anymore.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_12]: We're getting any time we play anybody decent.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_12]: We're just getting murdered.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_12]: The average margin of victory in the NFL is three and a half points and we lose by three scores routinely
- 37:26[SPEAKER_12]: everybody's going to be gone.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_12]: It is this point I've accepted it and I'm ready for I've excited to see who we can get.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_12]: At that point though, temper expectations because I don't think we're going to get, we're not going to get who we want.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_12]: That's just be honest.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_12]: From if you're on the outside looking in, this is not a job you want.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_12]: It's not a job.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_12]: You got an owner who has a history of meddling.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_12]: And as much as, you know, people are out on Stefansky, they fired the two-time coach the year after they forced him into a trade for that bad quarterback that depleted the roster.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_12]: Kevin Stefansky still respected around the league.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_12]: That's not going to be look kind of the upon.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_12]: and you have cap issues to Sean Watson's on this team next year for like half a zillion dollars.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_12]: You know what I mean?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_12]: Like it's just not it's not a job that you're not going to get like people are like you had Mike Freable in the building.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I'm sure he would have stuck around here instead of going to coach Drake May.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_12]: You know and his old squad, yeah.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_12]: Yes, it's just Ben Johnson wasn't coming to the Cleveland Browns.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, so he's just
- 38:39[SPEAKER_12]: You're gonna get, most likely, you're gonna either get like a recycled, like a microcarcy, or you're gonna get some guy that we really don't know anything about if he's any good.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_12]: And all of those guys, you're not gonna get your first choice or your second choice or probably your third choice.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_12]: You're gonna get like the one that the three teams that they have a, like, a good core, and they just need to change a scenery, they're gonna go to those teams.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_12]: they're not going to come to Cleveland where it's been basically proven impossible to win if the owner medals all the time cap hell to Sean Watson on your team next year uh... you're not you're not going to get your top two three choices you're going to get the one that nobody else picked everybody i hear you know that wants to go the veteran quarterback out of a little throw that while we maybe we'll get a bridge quarterback well hey maybe a guy like mike macarcy maybe we need to think more in the terms of we need a bridge head coach
- 39:38[SPEAKER_04]: be a bridge to the next guy because like you're saying I don't we're not gonna get that young up and coming like I don't know if's budding star you know coach type guy no you're not because why would it come here when you can go somewhere else that it's a better job right but I mean I and I'm being a little facetious when I say bridge head coach but at the same time
- 40:02[SPEAKER_04]: Do I like Mike McCarthy not really is he a guy that could come in here with a better roster and maybe some more structure coaching wise and get this team to maybe hover around 500 for a couple years before really ready to take the next step maybe.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_04]: Just a person who we get in here to play quarterback.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_04]: Again, being facetious.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, I'm not okay with that, but right now, it would be a lot better than where we are, man.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_04]: That's bad.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_04]: Like, just like in the caption here on the screen, I said, this is rock bottom.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, where the browser at rock bottom?
- 40:45[SPEAKER_04]: Like, this is bad.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_04]: This is blow it up, bad.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_06]: But Blake, Blake said the future is not good either.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_06]: You're you're lacking talent everywhere.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_06]: You're tied up.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_06]: You're handcuffed because of the cap.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_06]: you're at least probably a year and a half away from being able to figure that out.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_06]: The only thing it seems like the team cares about is the stupid dome.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_06]: It is what it is.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's not a sexy job.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it won't be, you're not going to get the budding young, you know, revolutionary offensive mind.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_06]: You're not going to get that guy.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_06]: You're going to get probably a guy that got rejected off of another team and see where that goes for two or three years.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_06]: I've been here before.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_04]: Nancy just she clarifies she says no.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_04]: I was more talking about culture kind of like the lion.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so no culture.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_06]: Our culture right now is awful Our culture.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's losing culture.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_04]: I've been talking about this all season.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_04]: I've done episodes about the losing culture is going to We're gonna stay in this path and that's all we've done now is lose the whole year two years in Rome
- 41:53[SPEAKER_12]: it sucks too because if you go back literally two years we were like undefeated or something in one score games and then just who knows but uh well do we want to get to the voicemails because we got a bunch of them to get through we do the first one we'll just hit Kenny Mac real quick
- 42:12[SPEAKER_09]: You know, guys, it is Kenny Mac and the Browns are who we thought they were, but guess what, we're not going to crowd their ass because the suck, we can't crowd them because they're a bad team, it's partly because of injuries and that's showing up on a team that is full of backup players that are starting.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_09]: You guys, there is no push
- 42:32[SPEAKER_09]: We can't pass block, we can't give Shidorah any time in this game.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_09]: We made the light, the bears defense look way better than they are because we're just not good enough.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_09]: with I like I don't even know how you evaluate the offense on this team like if I was Kevin's defense gets thrown the towel there's nothing you can do there's not a coach or a quarterback that can make this offense look good and as far as a defense is concerned Malik Collins he's done for the year and that means our defense is done for the year because we can't stop at knows you can just ram the ball down or throw yes I know the bears are good but we just
- 43:16[SPEAKER_09]: But we'll get me.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_09]: I'll be in Cleveland next week.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_09]: The sea miles get a sack record.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_09]: He'll get his two next week.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_09]: That's about all.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_09]: And the rest that we can ask for for this Christmas is this season to be done and we just start over again.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_09]: Let's go Browns.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, cool.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_12]: It's a, I lost my train of thought because I saw a comment here that made me laugh really hard.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_12]: This is Mary Kay spotted hanging outside the shower, so the tape measure trying to verify the QB's hand size.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_12]: It's good.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_12]: It's good.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_12]: It's good.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_12]: I was just reading that and I just started chuckle inside halfway through Kenny Max talk.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_12]: It's just, no, like we've been talking about this the whole time.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_12]: the offense is so bad.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_12]: What do you evaluate?
- 44:06[SPEAKER_12]: We were kind of getting into it in the in the discord a little bit because people were talking about how judgekins has been out rushed by the quarterback two weeks in a row.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_12]: And it's like, well, how can you even judge judgekins when he's getting hit by three meters behind the line of scrimmage?
- 44:18[SPEAKER_12]: As soon as he touches the ball, you know, so it's just like, how do you evaluate anything?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, honest, the only person that you can like look at and be like, this guy's pretty good as Harold fan it.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_12]: And even Harold Fanden, he's kind of got a little bit of a case of the drops.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_12]: It kind of comes and goes, um, he dropped one to maybe two today.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_12]: So, but just it's just tough.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_12]: We, we freaking suck.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_04]: We do here.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_04]: So I told you guys before the show, I got three boys, males from Adam.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to play the first one if we have time.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_04]: We'll come back and play his, his other two, but you left one.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_04]: Partway through the first half and then one at half time and then one.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even think he finished the game.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_13]: Hey guys, long time listener first time caller been pretty present on social media.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_13]: My name's Adam.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_13]: I'm down here in El Paso, Texas with the United States Army.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_13]: I just want to call and, you know, we're on our first drive here.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_13]: We just ran a BS, run up the middle because we're afraid of, you know, a safety right now.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_13]: And so far we are.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_13]: you know, what two minutes into this game and special teams has managed to let a 50-yard kick return and then what was the what was up with the punt gauge our everyday like running in and touching the ball to try to make sure that it doesn't go in the end.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_13]: I have no idea what it's happening there.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_13]: I have no idea where the coaching is.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_13]: you guys talk every week about firing, you know, coordinators and I think everybody's on board with firing our special teams coordinator, but I don't think of making a difference right now because obviously not coaching throughout the week.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_13]: I am so confused with what I see.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_13]: I will call you guys back as the game goes on and I hope should our Sanders just rips it open in this game.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_13]: Go Browns.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_04]: He still had some of that optimism.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, you can tell that's early in the game.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_12]: I want to listen to the third one.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_12]: He's probably hammered the press.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_12]: He just wandered off base.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, we should listen to the theme.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_04]: Here's a second one.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_04]: Let's just see what he has to say.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_04]: There we go.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_13]: Hey, guys.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_13]: Adam from El Paso here it has.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_13]: It's not 14.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_13]: Zero.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_13]: Honestly, with the position our special teams put us in, I can't be disappointed in the defense with holding people to 14 miles, Garrett, almost with a blocked kick.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_13]: Amazing.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_13]: Then on offense, one first down the whole half.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_13]: And honestly, that passed a
- 46:48[SPEAKER_13]: Isaiah Bond, I mean, amazing play, but, and I really wanted to myself, who has benefited more from Shidorah Sanders being quarterback than Isaiah Bond?
- 46:58[SPEAKER_13]: I mean, dude has become a real relevant threat with our offense, but we'll see how a second half goes.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_13]: If the team's going to play like this, they want it, the bears want it, and it seems like we just don't want it.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_13]: You know, if team's gonna play like this, I don't even see the point in waiting till, you know, black on day to fire the coach Because these guys aren't playing with any sort of passion or drive and it's disappointing to watch But Anyways, man See how the second half goes go browns Yeah, all right, so now the last one it's like watching it's like watching it's just sent into madness It's good All right, how's it?
- 47:40[SPEAKER_13]: Hey boys, this is Adam and El Paso games not over yet, but it's basically over and the big note that I want to take from this whole game Because I've seen it happen in the past is you know, Shidorah Sanders
- 47:58[SPEAKER_13]: The one thing he's not familiar with is how to lose, and you can tell in the way he conducts himself the way his body, you know, the way he's acting throughout the game.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_13]: He doesn't know how to lose.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_13]: He's going to keep trying, and you know, that's why he's got three interceptions on the game, is because he's going to keep throwing it down, feel he's going to keep trying to win.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_13]: And the thing that I hate about it is,
- 48:21[SPEAKER_13]: You know, what you do on the field will go into the evaluation at the end of the year of who you are.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_13]: And a lot of times I feel like the fan base and the organization as a whole misses, why certain things happen.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_13]: Great example.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_13]: 2021 Baker May field.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_13]: He could have easily and week two sat on the bench after getting hurt and let case keynum take those reps.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_13]: But he didn't want to because he's a gamer.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_13]: He wants to win.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_13]: He wants to compete.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_13]: one player away from the AFC that championship that year and not extending him so you know I think he also felt like he had to keep playing so I just hope you know overall in this game should or Sanders is a man that doesn't know how to quit and he's playing on a team full of guys that obviously have quit on this game and it's sad to watch.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_06]: That was actually more optimistic than I thought it was going to be.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_12]: That was good commentary.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_12]: It was good.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_12]: It was.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_12]: We appreciate all three calls mean.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_12]: Don't be shy.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_12]: Keep calling in.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_12]: Join the dogs.com.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_12]: We got a ton of army guys in there.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_12]: Marines.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_12]: We got all kinds of guys in there.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_12]: So you'd fit right in.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_12]: Shout out Jordan for joining the YouTube dog pack.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_12]: We appreciate that.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_12]: I'm seeing a lot of talking in the chat maybe I've been paying close enough attention to everything going on but people saying it's not all on the quarterback for the loss at least us I don't know maybe there's something going on.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_12]: I don't think any of us have put the blame on Chador for today's game like no we he wasn't like I said
- 49:52[SPEAKER_12]: It wasn't his best game by any stretch of the imagination and end up being a pretty bad game outside of a couple throws, but he was far from the problem.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_12]: Especially early when the game was as competitive as it was going to be.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_12]: Just know how just awful everywhere.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_12]: Yep.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_04]: Real bad.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Nick is up next.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_02]: What's up guys, Nick here coming to you live from Klono British Columbia, Canada, big fan of the show.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: Turn my TV off after the first half, just trying to preserve whatever I have left to my sanity, one first down in the first half.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's enough said there.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: First off,
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: Porsche door, we're putting in behind the absolute rock pile of an O line.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_02]: Guys got about two milliseconds before he has to get the ball out.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_02]: I feel bad for him.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's not perfect.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: He makes some mistakes, but I don't think anybody could succeed in the environment like that, so it's hard to assess talent when you can't even have them stand back and throw the ball.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: Secondly, Miles Hardin, I think you should probably get your job applications ready because after we're that first half, I think you should be bagging groceries at a
- 50:55[SPEAKER_02]: You've been an absolute traffic cone out there.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'd rather have my grandma on a wheel chair out there in the second area for the Cleveland Browns Yeah, enough said there.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think we need to address the O line in the off-season big time.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: I would be very upset if we didn't draft an O line in the first first round Yeah, that's pretty much all I got to say love the show.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Have a great day guys.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_02]: Woo-hoo
- 51:20[SPEAKER_04]: What's the quote from Armageddon whenever they're talking about the plans to go up there on the asteroid and he's like Explaining the environment to the guys.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, okay, so most terrifying environment imaginable.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_04]: So he had to say I feel like that's the ground's offense.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_04]: Most of the environment imaginable.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that's it
- 51:36[SPEAKER_12]: Uh, this comment says we had one first down in the first half when was this game competitive and when was SS showing progress, he was seven to twenty one, two interceptions at one point.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_12]: He salvaged his stats, deep in garbage time.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_12]: Again, nobody said he played great, but he wasn't the problem at the beginning of the game.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_12]: The entire offense is the problem, who's he supposed to elevate on this offense?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_12]: You know, I'll let you pick any quarterback in the league and put them behind the this offensive line today and have them throw to this set of wide receivers and you tell me what quarterback you think would have been lights out.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_12]: Now, could Shador have been better?
- 52:18[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, but at the same time,
- 52:20[SPEAKER_12]: He's a rookie, making his fourth start.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_12]: What's the scale?
- 52:25[SPEAKER_12]: Are we grading him?
- 52:26[SPEAKER_12]: Like he's a six year proble vet?
- 52:29[SPEAKER_12]: Are we grading him on a, is he making progress from when we first saw him to where he is now?
- 52:35[SPEAKER_12]: Yes, he had five sex or five sex.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_12]: Three of those were late in the game garbage time.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_12]: I'm pretty sure you only took one sack in the first, or two sacks in the first three quarters.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_12]: One of those, he took the snap and immediately got,
- 52:50[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_12]: You had time to get to his drop.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_12]: So it's when we say, take sacks.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_12]: What we're talking about is, is he running backwards away from the offensive line?
- 53:01[SPEAKER_12]: He's not doing that.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_12]: If you take a sack because you stepped up into the pocket or because you received the snap and just immediately get hit, unless it's because you didn't move the protection the way it was supposed to, you didn't recognize something pre-snap to help you post snap.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_04]: you're gonna get sacs sometimes this is the NFL there's a difference between taking sacks and getting sacked he's getting sacked okay we're not seeing the big the the extended plays where he's just taking sacks at a loss and all this stuff it's there's nothing he can do quarterback's get sacked all the time already said that on the show but
- 53:35[SPEAKER_04]: And to go to that comment, there was never a point in this game where if you looked at the stat line, he had only two interceptions, because if you saw two interceptions, that means he had one interception and one touchdown that was dropped for an interception.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_04]: The other interception came after that for the third.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_04]: So he should have had one interception one touchdown.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_04]: A very nice touchdown.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_04]: The Jared Judy trash.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_04]: Just.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_04]: OK.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_04]: So I know, Senator Tillman was active today, because the concussion, all that stuff to eat play.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_04]: That was even my fault.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_06]: John, non-factor.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_06]: I saw four days.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_04]: I saw Larva Dan and Bond and Judy, of course.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_04]: I never saw Tillman.

- 55:55[SPEAKER_07]: I will look you guys go ahead and talk another one another waste but anyway here's a just and not are just and the other just what's up guys it's Justin and Jersey here trying man like I usually do games only in a third quarter uh some quick thoughts no no this game went the way I honestly was expecting it's freezing cold you know Miles Garrick got you know one of his socks so I'm still hoping he finishes his uh
- 56:24[SPEAKER_07]: his main goal here of break in that record.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_07]: I'm rooting for him on top of that.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_07]: Something I want to emphasize is that
- 56:34[SPEAKER_07]: In this draft coming up we we need to go to add receivers in the first round and the reason I say this and some people are against it Is because then we have a higher chance of getting our jettas or maybe two But we need to go just all out grab two receivers so that we know if one of them ends up failing Then we at least have one we need to go all out both of them need to be wider receivers
- 57:00[SPEAKER_07]: then you got Shidorah Sanders, right?
- 57:03[SPEAKER_07]: You got two first round draft picks, Quinshawn Jenkins and Dylan Samson is the one, two punch and Harold Fan and out there and then you keep Isaiah Bond as a deep fast threat.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_07]: He's very quick and then there's your line up.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_07]: Anyway, let's go Brown.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_07]: Ooh, ooh.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's another point real quick and Joker didn't play today.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_04]: We haven't even mentioned that, but that's a big deal.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_04]: Blocking and in the receiving game.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_06]: For sure.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_06]: He's big in the run game.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_06]: I, uh, on Justin's point, where he's talking about taking two I receivers, just to make sure that we get a, you know, a Justin Jefferson or an alpha, I would agree with him just on the fact that the talent is so bad in our wide receiver room that just taking two guys right off the bat.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_06]: It's going to improve your library receiver room.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_06]: You draft a car and I'll take and supplement them into your library receiver room.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, immediately your library receiver is room is better.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_06]: You're you take two young library receivers.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_06]: Are they they're sliding out is sliding two guys out on that library.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_06]: See you again.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_05]: That's no doubt my mind.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_12]: I've talked about this before.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_12]: If you took the Browns wide receiver core and you put them on a high state.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_12]: The only one who would get playing time is Jerry
- 58:17[SPEAKER_12]: Nobody else would even get playing time.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_12]: If you took, if you went the other way, and you took Jeremiah Smith and Cardinal Tate and put them on the Browns, they would be wider silver one and wide receiver two, and Jerry Judy would immediately become wide receiver three.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_12]: That is how bad your wide receiver core is.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_12]: You're an NFL team and your wide receiver core wouldn't start for the local college team.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_12]: That's embarrassed.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_12]: That is a symptom of just never drafting a skill player before the third, fourth, fifth round.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_12]: You're not going to turn out like on paper.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_12]: It's maybe you can find some diamonds in the rough.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_12]: It like d-line and line-back earns.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_12]: But these wide receivers, they're really freakin' good and they're good in college and then they go early.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_12]: Okay, like, yeah, there's the occasional modern raw same brown and stuff like that.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_12]: But like your top end talent, your Julio Jones is, your Jamar Chases, your Justin Jefferson's,
- 59:17[SPEAKER_12]: You're a Mario Cooper's coming out in his prime those guys go early for a reason.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_04]: They're easy to see So just go pick them It's quit over thinking it Absolutely All right, you guys ready for a song from Brad?
- 59:32[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, God.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, you're like you guys are like boys and girls get your letters out and sing it with me But I'm down to one last breath and with it let me say Let me say home and now I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
- 59:56[SPEAKER_11]: May be six feet ain't so far down.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_10]: Well, that was a game.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_10]: Um, I don't know.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know what positive to look to for this game.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_10]: Miles got closer to his sack record.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_10]: kind of got the screw out of a full sack, I thought, um, offense was, uh, not existed.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_10]: I guess you could say, um, I was just laughing this whole game because I'm just two that point.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, we got three more games after this, yay, I guess.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know, should or kind of like,
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_10]: Look, kind of man.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_10]: I mean, the line was garbage, so what are you gonna do?
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_10]: Defends kind of suck too, as well.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_10]: Still people need to get fired.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know who, but I don't know everybody.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_10]: Just fire everybody.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_10]: Just start from
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_04]: No, I think he got it.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_12]: Yep, yeah, everybody's getting it fired.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_12]: I would be shocked if at this point, because like every week we lose worse.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_12]: Like at any point where you think like, oh, maybe they're gonna after the Dolphins game or after the Raiders game, it was like,
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_12]: You know, maybe everybody's gonna stick around the team still bought in and then we just go on this losing streak.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_12]: It's like it's totally gone now.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_12]: There's nothing.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_12]: It's embarrassing.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_12]: Um, that's all coming in here that said, Yet you expect a fifth round QB rookie QB to be your savior?
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_12]: Um, I at least me.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_12]: I'm not saying that Shador is going to be the savior.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_12]: I'm saying he showed me enough to at least earn the chance to get to play next to a couple of NFL wide receivers and have an NFL offensive line in front of him.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_12]: And then I will evaluate him on a 17 game schedule next year with an off season to prepare as the starter, playing behind, hopefully a better offensive line, playing throwing to hopefully better wide receivers and maybe having a more creative offense.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_12]: Then I will evaluate him, and if he's good next year, great, and if he's not, then we'll take a quarterback.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_12]: I'm not crowning him anything.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_12]: I'm saying he's shown me enough to earn the chance to be the guy, because there's plenty other holes on this team.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I keep seeing people say, well, would you rather have Shador next year or Fernando Mendoza?
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_04]: You've got to have number one to take for nanomendos in my opinion.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_04]: I believe he will go number one.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_04]: I believe if the Titans end up with number one, they traded to the highest bidder.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_04]: Do we want to be the highest bidder?
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_04]: We want to get in a bidding war for that number one pick and not have assets to build around a quote.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_04]: So then you then you're stuck with okay.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_04]: Do we like whoever else to clear?
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know if Dante Moore's going to declare.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and that's pretty much it.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think there's any other quarterbacks.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_04]: I'm even looking at in the first round.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_04]: Next, I haven't done any pre-drift analysis yet of these guys, but who?
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_12]: No, there's one.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_12]: I'm hearing Dante Moore's probably going back.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I'm hearing too.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_04]: And Ty Simpson should probably go back.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_04]: We already know little Norse selfish is going back.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_12]: I liked Ty Simpson, like I was watching some of his stuff early in the season, but he did not end the season well.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_12]: No.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_12]: Like no, he's on a downward trajectory with gauges a big Alabama fan in our discord and he's been telling us all year that he needs more time in college.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_12]: So, like you said with a titan's move off came award after one year?
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_04]: I, I, I, I feel like I've seen enough from a cam, or I don't even watch titan's games, but I feel like I've seen enough to say just build around the guy.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_12]: I don't know, he was pretty fucking awful last week against the Browns.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_08]: he's been pretty bad all year like he also didn't have to do a whole lot that we just let them run the ball day yeah so i don't know new coach new gms system new system it's always a possibility you know what i mean but do you have any more voicemails yep got two more uh this one's from Jacob hey dog's podcast is Jacob once again with my post game thoughts miles Garrett should have 22 sacks
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_08]: I don't care if it, you should have been a solo sack, that's ridiculous, in my opinion.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_08]: Defends played a little bit better in the second half than the first half in my personal opinion.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_08]: Um, Shudor Sanders and Quinschon Jardtkins both need help with that offensive line.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_08]: Her team that allowed four yards of carry on runs.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_08]: I don't even know what we were at, but it wasn't four yards of carry.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_08]: It might have been two, but yeah, we need so much offensive line.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_08]: Healthy ones for the matter of the fact that only healthy offensive linemen that we have
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my lord, you know, Cory Bohorke is having a down here, or the win was whatever.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_08]: I appreciate the podcast.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_08]: I look forward to every episode.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you all.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_08]: Have a rest of your day, go Browns.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_12]: I have a question about the Miles thing.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_12]: I'm not shocked, they didn't give him the only give him a half a sack.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_12]: My first dollar thought it might only be half a sack.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_12]: But then later in the game, Caleb Williams falls on a ball, like a fumble, and Miles touches him.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_12]: Why was that not a sack?
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_04]: They said because they never controlled the snap, like it just fell to the ground, which I didn't understand that either.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_04]: But I guess I'm going to never have possession of the ball, I don't know.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, I was confused why that wasn't a sack.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_12]: I was like, did he just get it off that?
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, I'll take it.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think that too.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_04]: You could kind of see a mile space.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_04]: They had the camera on him.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_04]: He was just kind of like, did I get it?
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, got me out.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_12]: Now, straight hand got straight and got it by far of literally just running and falling down.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_12]: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:51[SPEAKER_12]: So I would take.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_12]: I would take just the tapping.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_12]: I was confused why they didn't count.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_12]: I was by that point.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_12]: I was not listening to the broadcast hardly at all because they were awful.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_12]: So that was just curious.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_12]: We got one more voice mode to get to here.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_04]: Super chat real quick from 80s Brazil says if Jerry catches that TD it's 21 10 with momentum that drive ended it, I would hope breaks.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_04]: Browns take quarterback and trade 12.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't good, but he drove the field.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_04]: Again, I don't know what the trademark it is for fifth round rookie quarter if you don't think he's good enough to play for us next year Yeah, you know, what's the trademark here for the guy that everybody passed on five times right you know
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's why would we I feel like we might have something.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'd rather just give a couple pieces and see if you can be the guy because if you can be you got him on a fifth round rookie contract And then we got another one from Keith near near Garder says the Sean Watson trade Doug a huge hole always was a two year rebuild.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_04]: Not sure why you're so surprised.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_04]: D set for next defense set up for the geez you guys give me some a super chats
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_04]: Next two to three years, we'll address offense this season, hoping for one of the top two, twenty six quarterbacks to let him battle with Shidorah Sanders for the starter.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_04]: And then this one from Jordan Vassar says Browns fans cry about going through quarterbacks, then cry and slam the table to draft a quarterback.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_04]: His pocket presence has gotten better every game wrist up haters.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_04]: And then somebody won't like to Shidorah Glaze.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_12]: I've been over this, I'm not doing it.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_12]: This is about the, listen, I, I know that the, the, the, the Watson trade dug a whole huge hole and it was a two year rebuild and that's why for the first two months of this season, I was fighting tooth and nail saying we don't need to fire anybody.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_12]: But whenever you come out and then you lose to the Titans in the Jets, and you start getting embarrassed.
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_12]: You're not just losing competitive anymore, you're getting embarrassed.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_12]: The side of the ball that's supposed to be good is no longer good.
- 1:08:01[SPEAKER_12]: That's telling me like, it's time to make the change.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_12]: I trust me.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_12]: If you watch the show, a high-fist on the show, we saw it running.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_12]: about how we didn't need to fire anybody that nobody would be successful.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_12]: They were still playing hard and this is a two-year rebuild.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_12]: But we are a better team than the Titans and we are a better team than the Jets.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_12]: You can't lose those two games.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_12]: And you were not 40 points worse than the Bears or whatever we lost to.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_12]: 30, you know what I mean?
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_12]: Like I said the average margin of victory in the NFL is three and a half points and we're getting blown out on a consistent basis.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_12]: like it's in there still three more game we we're gonna watch this happen to us three more times yes we are it like we are the the the bills game is going to be ugly
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_12]: And that one's at home, isn't it?
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, Cleveland.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_05]: Justin, are you going to that?
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_05]: Hell yeah, bro.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_05]: And can you make maybe?
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_06]: Me and Kenny and Mac are going to go.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_06]: I can't believe Kenny's driving eight hours to go to that.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_06]: He was like, you want to go to the Buffalo game and I was just like, if you're going, man, I guess I'll do it.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_06]: I'll be there.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_06]: Whatever.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, just so trust me, I was, I was in your camp.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_12]: I know that it was a two year rebuild.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_12]: I was expecting, I expected us to get to like five or six wins this year.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_12]: And if we would have done that, I was fine.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_12]: The problem is, we're stuck at three and I don't think we're getting another one and we're not losing competitive anymore.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_12]: We're losing bad even to even to bad teams we're losing.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_12]: So that's where it's like, okay, maybe there needs to be a change of voice in the locker
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_06]: losing bad teams that trade all their good players away and then you still lose to them that week.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, yes, and then the titans are having interim coach, yes, with no no skill players.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_12]: Yes, they're about the only team that's on the same level of us in terms of offensive personnel and they beat us.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like if should doorking go for almost 400 total yards and four touchdowns and lead us to 29 points against the Titans and still not get the browns to a victory, we're not winning against the bill stealers or bangles guys, it ain't happening.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_12]: No, so one of those is real good, I was going to say there's a chance that all four coaches in the air seem north are going to be fired.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we'll see what happens to the ravens because they beat us, not out of the bangles
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_12]: I can make arguments.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_12]: I can see why the Steelers would move on from Tomlin finally.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_12]: I can obviously see why we would let go of Kevin and I think Zach Taylor's awful also.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_12]: I could see why they would let go of him.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_12]: I think if the Ravens were to fire John Harble, that would be stupid.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_12]: He would be hired in 30 seconds.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_12]: He wouldn't even be done packing his office and you would have another head coaching job.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, my agree.
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_04]: Jay Cuddle says Andre Schmidt,
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_12]: Honestly, God, we might actually have a kicker.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_04]: Well, at least we don't have to worry about that controversy over the offseason.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_04]: We know who our kicker is going.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_04]: We got one thing figured out.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_05]: As long as he doesn't pull a dust and Hopkins on us, and call him cliff in year two, but don't don't pay him the bag, Cleveland.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like that.
- 1:11:13[SPEAKER_05]: Concentration for a second.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_04]: We're good.
- 1:11:15[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to do it two years in a row.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_04]: All right, this last one's from Devontay.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, yo, it's Devontay.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'll drive it off through here.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't had it back home.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to celebrate my son's birthday.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, that we are here, please, they're safe.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Having kept tables on the game is clear.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Your team has a lot more host to fill the size.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_01]: Your score to back.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_01]: Quarterback is one position that whether you think of Sanders, whether you think of Gabriel, whether you think of Watson.
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_01]: you can put a hold on it.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_01]: You need to address the virus here as the online, uh, the outside line battery to both save these positions, the nickel on more of the slot.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_01]: You need to address all that before you touch quarterback again.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_01]: You need to get depth at majority of those positions.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_01]: So keep them as I'm in the camp of letting Shador go have a full off season.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_01]: Food next season.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_01]: If he's not it, let him go.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_01]: But we also got to realize quarterback is one of the hardest positions.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_01]: I am in through 26 starsion of 28 intersections.
- 1:12:08[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody in this upcoming drive class is like a like how Kyle Murray was to Josh Rosen or like how came to us to Jamie Claxton or Jimmy Clausson.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody in the drive class is like that.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_01]: In other years, that's how QB is second round that best.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_01]: So let's build around the guys.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_01]: who's already in a room and go from there, go Browns.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_12]: One thing I want to, that he mentioned, quarterback is the hardest position.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_12]: The league has a quarterback quality problem.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_12]: Quarterback play.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_12]: It's not a brown specific thing right now.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_12]: Quarterback play in the league is so bad that Philip River started a game today.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_12]: Dude, that's insane.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_12]: That's like, Philip River would have guessed.
- 1:12:53[SPEAKER_12]: The cults looked around everybody's roster.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_12]: All of their third string emergency practice squad quarterbacks, and said, maybe we should call Philip.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_12]: I know he hasn't played in 1,800 days, and he's 45 years old, and he's 25 pounds heavier than he was last time I saw him.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_12]: He's better than anybody who's been currently practicing football.
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_12]: that is the state of quarterback play in the NFL right now.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_12]: There is the the college game is so non-developmental compared to what the NFL game is.
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_12]: It's all just spread, quit, one word play calls, throw it to a space, let the receiver, nobody's reading defenses.
- 1:13:34[SPEAKER_12]: I mean, if you watch like the green camp stuff, Jackson Dart didn't even have a snap count in college.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_12]: He asked him for a stop and he just clapped his hands and he was like, what did you have like a dummy call and he just clapped it twice Yeah, like there's just there's so little development going on in terms of quarterback play the college level.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_12]: There is
- 1:13:55[SPEAKER_12]: almost no the quarterback playing in the NFL is terrible right now.
- 1:14:00[SPEAKER_12]: So if you think if you have something that maybe you think can be good, I think Shidorah has a ton of potential.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_12]: He has a long way to go to reach the full potential, but the Browns need to do him some favors to try to help him reach that potential.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_12]: He can't just be throwing to Jerry Judy and freaking nobody.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_12]: in Harold Fanon.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_12]: Somebody was complaining because we ran a jet sweep to Harold Fanon today, and I was like, he's our best athlete on offense.
- 1:14:27[SPEAKER_12]: Who would you rather run it to?
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we ran a jet sweep to the tight end, and nobody blocked off the edge.
- 1:14:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, blown up as soon as he turned the corner.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_04]: I was like, what are we doing?
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_12]: So it's just, there's not, it's, it's not like there's just a thousand good QBs out there.
- 1:14:44[SPEAKER_12]: Okay.
- 1:14:45[SPEAKER_12]: If there were Philip Rivers wouldn't have played today.
- 1:14:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's that is I'm glad you brought that up.
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_04]: That is an excellent point, honestly, that the cold head is and I'll say, stoop to that level to get it a competent quarterback played a day.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, so I never want to hear anything about Rust ever again.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't ever want to talk about Rusty quarterback play ever again.
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_06]: If I can sit on the couch for three years and come in and throw a touch down, never again.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_12]: That's a very good point.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_12]: We said, uh, the Sean was just Rusty.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_12]: No, that's why he kept throwing the ball into the ground instead of into the ground.
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_12]: He's just catching strees today.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_12]: That was like the one game I wanted to watch and it wasn't I couldn't watch it.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_12]: Uh, and I don't know how I played.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_12]: I know you had a touchdown.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_12]: He threw a pick at the end, but at least numbers wise they didn't look.
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_12]: I thought they'd get killed playing the seahawks and they almost won that game.
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_04]: So well, and to your point though, to go to college thing with Philip Rivers, they've got Riley Leonard as the other healthy quarterback on their right.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_04]: He was in the national championship game last year.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_04]: And he can't even get on the field like in the desperation mode for an NFL team.
- 1:15:56[SPEAKER_04]: Like, that's you're right.
- 1:15:57[SPEAKER_04]: It is a problem.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_12]: Yeah, it's an epidemic.
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_12]: So, but all right, we're gonna wrap this thing up.
- 1:16:06[SPEAKER_04]: So it's not even a freaking brown.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_12]: That's a sickness.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's true.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, man.
