- 0:04Speaker 2: John Jay and Richie.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Go!
- 0:06Speaker 4: What's cracker like?
- 0:07Speaker 5: And this is the big boss dog, Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Bang, boom, what you gonna do?
- 0:11Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:13Speaker 5: We're not talking about Ren 1010.
- 0:14Speaker 4: We're not talking about Lassie.
- 0:16Speaker 6: It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 5: The classy, sassy, big Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle. In your
- 0:20Speaker 5: face to be and in the place to be. And
- 0:22Speaker 5: you're listening to John Jay and Rich. Wake your ass up.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Rich, today is National What? Chicken and Waffles Day. Yeah,
- 0:31Speaker 4: I am a fan, and I will tell you, I
- 0:33Speaker 4: have tried. The Chick-fil-A all-day chicken and waffle sandwich that
- 0:37Speaker 4: comes with the syrup. You don't need the syrup. It's
- 0:40Speaker 4: plenty delicious. It's also National Mozzarella Stick Day and International
- 0:46Speaker 4: Sloth Day. Who doesn't love a little sloth?
- 0:50Speaker 7: Oh, maybe we should go watch Zootopia with the sloth
- 0:53Speaker 7: that moves all slow.
- 0:57Speaker 5: We've been sprinkling in the scariest thing that's ever happened
- 1:01Speaker 5: to you. Right, because it is, you know, it's Halloween
- 1:03Speaker 5: and it could be about monsters and ghosts, but it
- 1:06Speaker 5: could also be just something just completely terrifying that's ever
- 1:08Speaker 5: happened to you. We want to hear it. And Maria
- 1:10Speaker 5: is ready to kick it off this morning. Good morning, Maria.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Hey, good morning, John Jay.
- 1:15Speaker 5: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 1:19Speaker 3: Well, I'm going to share a story with you that
- 1:21Speaker 3: happened several years back. And if you all are familiar
- 1:25Speaker 3: with the state of California, I was over in Dairyland
- 1:28Speaker 3: in Corona and I was riding with my mom. We
- 1:31Speaker 3: were heading over to my grandma's home. And as we're
- 1:34Speaker 3: driving near the dairy land, there was this object in
- 1:37Speaker 3: the road that appeared to be a decapitated head.
- 1:43Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I said, I said, hey, mom. Oh, my God, mom,
- 1:46Speaker 3: there's a decapitated head. She's like, oh, come on now.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And so being Hispanic, my mom called me a mentirosa,
- 1:52Speaker 3: which is, you know, a liar kind of. And I said, well,
- 1:55Speaker 3: flip around. Let's go take a look. And so we
- 1:57Speaker 3: did so. And the dairies over there have those huge
- 2:00Speaker 3: U-turn driveways. And so we turned in and came back out.
- 2:04Speaker 3: And sure enough, there sat.
- 2:06Speaker 7: A decapitated deer.
- 2:07Speaker 9: No way.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Gosh.
- 2:10Speaker 3: And I don't know.
- 2:12Speaker 4: The eyes were open.
- 2:13Speaker 10: It was the scariest thing.
- 2:15Speaker 3: We could have ever imagined.
- 2:17Speaker 10: We make our way to my grandma's home, and we're.
- 2:19Speaker 11: Wider than a sheet of ghost.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And my grandma's like, oh, my God, here. She gave
- 2:23Speaker 3: us a spoon of sugar for some reason, you know,
- 2:25Speaker 3: old myths. And the next day in the local newspaper,
- 2:30Speaker 3: they actually found the other body parts of said person
- 2:35Speaker 3: in the machinery room. equipment at a local dairy farm.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Oh, my goodness.
- 2:42Speaker 4: You guys don't call the police or anything like that.
- 2:45Speaker 4: You just witnessed ahead. You just saw it. And then
- 2:47Speaker 4: just get a spoonful of sugar. Take care of that.
- 2:50Speaker 5: We did.
- 2:50Speaker 10: We did call the police once we got to my
- 2:52Speaker 10: grandmother's home.
- 2:53Speaker 3: We didn't have a phone then.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Oh, I got you.
- 2:56Speaker 5: So do you know the story? Did he fall in
- 2:57Speaker 5: the machine or did someone kill him?
- 3:00Speaker 3: It appeared that somebody intentionally murdered him.
- 3:04Speaker 5: You know what's interesting, though? It's like I tried to
- 3:06Speaker 5: put myself in your shoes. So if I was driving
- 3:09Speaker 5: with someone and I saw a decapitated head on the
- 3:12Speaker 5: side of the road, I think my first thing would
- 3:14Speaker 5: be to yell, oh, my God, there's a head. To
- 3:17Speaker 5: add the word decapitated seems such extra work. There's a
- 3:21Speaker 5: head in the middle of the road. There's just a head.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Like to actually.
- 3:26Speaker 10: Stop and say, I may have had something to do.
- 3:28Speaker 3: With it, but no, no, I did not.
- 3:30Speaker 5: Decapitated head. Like, I think that's a given. You know,
- 3:33Speaker 5: it reminds me the other day I was somewhere and they,
- 3:35Speaker 5: and there was an emergency and they had to call,
- 3:37Speaker 5: you know, there's a, if, if, if I'm, if you're
- 3:39Speaker 5: sitting here in a room right now with all of us,
- 3:40Speaker 5: Kyle and someone has, and Peyton has a heart attack
- 3:43Speaker 5: and falls on the floor, what would you yell?
- 3:45Speaker 12: Call 9-1-1.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Call 9-1-1. I was at a place where that happened
- 3:49Speaker 5: and somebody yells, call emergency medical services. Call emergency medical services.
- 3:55Speaker 5: And I was like, what? What? Call what? Emergency medical services.
- 4:01Speaker 5: And I was like, do you mean 9-1-1? Call 9-1-1?
- 4:04Speaker 5: Double call 9-1-1. And who says call emergency medical services?
- 4:08Speaker 12: That takes a long time.
- 4:09Speaker 5: That is a lot. And the person that said that
- 4:11Speaker 5: is in the medical field.
- 4:11Speaker 13: Right.
- 4:11Speaker 7: And they even, have an acronym for emergency medical services,
- 4:15Speaker 7: which is EMS, which is a lot faster than.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Emergency medical services.
- 4:18Speaker 5: So that's why Maria says decapitated. Are you telling us
- 4:22Speaker 5: that because now that you've heard the story a million times,
- 4:24Speaker 5: told the story, it's better to say decapitated or do
- 4:26Speaker 5: you think you yelled, mom, there's a head in the road.
- 4:30Speaker 6: I more than.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Likely said, Mom, there's a head in the road.
- 4:32Speaker 5: I probably would.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Have used the word decapitated.
- 4:34Speaker 10: That's more an educational term now.
- 4:38Speaker 5: And also, when they were trying to kill the person,
- 4:40Speaker 5: what kind of dairy, where were they putting the rest
- 4:43Speaker 5: of the body? Was it in a butchering plant where
- 4:46Speaker 5: they make meat? Or was it in a milk thing?
- 4:50Speaker 3: It was one of those machineries that they used to
- 4:54Speaker 3: cut the corn and the grain from the ground.
- 4:55Speaker 11: Wow.
- 4:57Speaker 5: That's brutal.
- 5:01Speaker 3: They normally do this activity in the middle of the
- 5:03Speaker 3: day and then in the early morning where it's dark.
- 5:05Speaker 3: So you don't know what you're essentially running over. Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 3: it was pretty scary.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Thank God your grandma got you some sugar.
- 5:11Speaker 10: If anyone knows the area I'm referring to, it's well
- 5:14Speaker 10: before what it is now.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yeah, my wife's dad lives there. I was just there
- 5:18Speaker 4: a few months ago in Corona. Lots of open land there.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Wow. Well, Marina, I'm so glad you called. That is
- 5:24Speaker 5: a scary, scary story. I mean, to see a head
- 5:27Speaker 5: is just by itself ever. You know what I mean?
- 5:30Speaker 5: It's so gross.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty unreal.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Do you have nightmares of that every once in a
- 5:33Speaker 5: while still?
- 5:35Speaker 3: I wouldn't say nightmares. I did, you know, back in
- 5:37Speaker 3: the day. But now it's just kind of like I
- 5:39Speaker 3: think back and I'm like.
- 5:40Speaker 10: What the heck? What in the world would someone.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Have done that for? Like, it's just it's scary that
- 5:45Speaker 3: people are out there that have the intention, you know,
- 5:47Speaker 3: and can act on it.
- 5:47Speaker 14: So, yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I wonder if you were tempted to take it with you.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Bring it somewhere.
- 5:51Speaker 5: No. Grandma, look what I found.
- 5:53Speaker 15: No, Rich.
- 5:53Speaker 4: No, I'm sorry.
- 5:54Speaker 3: If I see one next time, I'll be more than
- 5:56Speaker 3: happy to package it up and help you.
- 5:57Speaker 12: Oh, my gosh.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I didn't do that.
- 6:01Speaker 4: FedEx will turn that right around.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Maria, thank you for sharing that story with us.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Oh, you bet, guys.
- 6:06Speaker 16: Have a wonderful day.
- 6:06Speaker 3: You too.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Thank you. There's a post. We posted it on Facebook.
- 6:09Speaker 5: We said, what is the scariest thing that you've ever
- 6:10Speaker 5: experienced in your entire life? And I want to know
- 6:13Speaker 5: this story. Angela says, my neighbor stabbed me 13 times.
- 6:16Speaker 12: Oh, my gosh. That's horrendous.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Yeah, we got to talk to her at some point.
- 6:21Speaker 5: There's a whole bunch of comments on it. But we're
- 6:22Speaker 5: going to do this every single day and, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 5: sprinkle it in throughout the show. We want to know
- 6:26Speaker 5: from you, what's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 6:29Speaker 13: 877-937-1047.
- 6:37Speaker 5: Peyton Whitmore. I'm sorry. My apologies.
- 6:40Speaker 9: Peyton Strickland.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:42Speaker 5: What is the prize for horoscopes today?
- 6:46Speaker 7: I am telling you the unexpected situations that your zodiac
- 6:49Speaker 7: sign might find yourself in today. If it's your birthday today,
- 6:53Speaker 7: you are a Libra, and you share a birthday with
- 6:55Speaker 7: NBA Youngboy, Snoop Dogg, Paige Beckers, my girl, Kamala Harris,
- 6:59Speaker 7: John Krasinski, and Candace Swanepoel.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Kyle. Kyle.
- 7:03Speaker 7: It was just your birthday this last weekend. So I'm
- 7:05Speaker 7: going to start off with you. Libra is what you
- 7:07Speaker 7: can expect to get into today. You are about to
- 7:10Speaker 7: get invited somewhere by somebody you don't like. So instead
- 7:15Speaker 7: of saying no, I'm going to have you invent an
- 7:17Speaker 7: elaborate excuse.
- 7:18Speaker 9: So now you have a fake dentist appointment.
- 7:20Speaker 7: An imaginary family emergency, and now you have a lie
- 7:24Speaker 7: to remember for the next six months.
- 7:25Speaker 9: So just say you're busy.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:28Speaker 13: Okay.
- 7:29Speaker 4: All right.
- 7:29Speaker 12: That's a tough one.
- 7:30Speaker 7: I don't know who's inviting you places, but she's going
- 7:33Speaker 7: to say no.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Hey, Marsha, good morning. What's your sign?
- 7:36Speaker 8: Hey, good morning.
- 7:37Speaker 12: My sign is Gemini.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Okay, so Marsha, today you are about to get caught
- 7:41Speaker 7: telling two completely different versions of the same story.
- 7:45Speaker 9: And it's not because, like, you're trying to lie.
- 7:47Speaker 7: But it's just that you, like, added a little extra
- 7:49Speaker 7: razzle-dazzle for entertainment purposes. But remember, the people that you're
- 7:53Speaker 7: telling these stories to, they actually know each other.
- 7:55Speaker 9: So just be a little bit careful with your words.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Ooh, that sounds so familiar.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I know.
- 8:02Speaker 14: I know.
- 8:03Speaker 9: I'm guilty of that, too.
- 8:05Speaker 10: I do have to embellish things quite a bit.
- 8:07Speaker 4: So, you know.
- 8:08Speaker 9: It makes it more fun.
- 8:09Speaker 6: It gets better and better.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 8:10Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Well, thanks for calling in, Marsha.
- 8:12Speaker 14: Thanks, guys.
- 8:13Speaker 9: Love you.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Bye, Marsha.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Daisy, hello. Hello. What's your sign?
- 8:19Speaker 17: I am a Leo.
- 8:21Speaker 9: Oh, perfect. Just like me.
- 8:22Speaker 7: Okay, Daisy, there has been some people who have been
- 8:25Speaker 7: copying our entire personality, like from our outfits to our
- 8:28Speaker 7: Instagram captions, even the way we, like, want our coffee.
- 8:31Speaker 7: So before we, like, confront them, we just have to
- 8:34Speaker 7: remember that imitation is the highest form of flattery.
- 8:37Speaker 9: So congratulations.
- 8:38Speaker 7: We are now officially someone's Pinterest board, and I think
- 8:41Speaker 7: that we should give ourselves a round of applause.
- 8:43Speaker 10: Well, I did give myself a round of applause, but
- 8:45Speaker 10: then I cut her off.
- 8:46Speaker 9: Yeah!
- 8:47Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 8:48Speaker 9: I love Daisy. I love it.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yep.
- 8:51Speaker 18: All right.
- 8:51Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Thanks, Daisy. How about Pisces?
- 8:55Speaker 9: Okay, Rich.
- 8:56Speaker 7: Today, you're about to realize that you might actually be
- 8:59Speaker 7: the toxic one in the relationship. Yeah, you said you
- 9:02Speaker 7: were fine. You insisted that nothing was wrong. But then
- 9:04Speaker 7: you got upset when that other person believed you.
- 9:07Speaker 9: I'm sorry.
- 9:07Speaker 7: We cannot read your mind. We cannot pass a test
- 9:10Speaker 7: we don't know we're taking.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Oh, my God. That sounds so complicated.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I don't think that sounds like Pisces guys.
- 9:15Speaker 9: Just be honest. You Pisces are toxic, and they are.
- 9:18Speaker 9: I dated one.
- 9:19Speaker 12: They suck. Sorry.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Not you, Rich.
- 9:22Speaker 9: You're sweet, but he was trash.
- 9:24Speaker 5: What do you got? Wrap up for Virgos.
- 9:27Speaker 9: John Jay for Virgos.
- 9:28Speaker 7: Be careful what you're doing on your work computer today
- 9:31Speaker 7: because somebody might accidentally see something that they were not
- 9:34Speaker 7: supposed to. So whether that's in your shopping cart or
- 9:36Speaker 7: your job applications or the 17 tabs you have researching,
- 9:41Speaker 7: your boss doesn't need to know that you're like already
- 9:44Speaker 7: mentally in Cabo. So just close those tabs out and
- 9:47Speaker 7: keep things to yourself.
- 9:48Speaker 5: It's usually Twitter. I think if my Twitter's open, Noah
- 9:50Speaker 5: usually hears some terrible noise back there. It's completely inappropriate.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, sorry, man.
- 9:56Speaker 19: I didn't know.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Anyway, yeah, I agree with that. All right. If we
- 9:58Speaker 5: didn't get your sound, I'll post it on our website. johnjainrich.com. Hey,
- 10:07Speaker 5: it's John Jane Rich. So Misty, you have a story
- 10:11Speaker 5: that is the scariest thing that's ever happened to you.
- 10:14Speaker 8: Yes.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Okay. What is it?
- 10:16Speaker 20: So back in 2014, I was sitting at my desk,
- 10:21Speaker 20: I don't know, working something. And I get a call
- 10:23Speaker 20: from my daughter who was on a small trip to
- 10:26Speaker 20: California with a friend of hers and their family. And
- 10:29Speaker 20: she says, Mom, don't panic.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I was in a rollercoaster.
- 10:32Speaker 20: Rollercoaster accident she was at six flags in california and
- 10:36Speaker 20: i did not believe her i was like that's insane
- 10:38Speaker 20: like nobody gets in this is crazy i mean now
- 10:41Speaker 20: obviously there's lots of rollercoaster accidents so back then i
- 10:44Speaker 20: never heard of them um and so i had to
- 10:48Speaker 20: google it because i was like she's lying i'm like
- 10:52Speaker 20: i 100 didn't believe her and i googled.
- 10:55Speaker 13: It and there is a picture of her in one
- 10:57Speaker 13: of the cars and it's hanging off it derailed uh
- 11:01Speaker 13: hit a branch derailed people were hurt and.
- 11:05Speaker 10: Uh yeah she was literally in a roller coaster accident
- 11:08Speaker 10: good morning america had her on.
- 11:09Speaker 7: The next day.
- 11:10Speaker 10: Like it was just crazy Whoa.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Because right now, that's very topical.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 5: I mean, there's roller coasters being shut down all over
- 11:18Speaker 5: the place because of something that happened. So wait, will
- 11:20Speaker 5: you Google it? Do you see her?
- 11:23Speaker 20: I actually had to go through a couple of the
- 11:26Speaker 20: pictures because they were mostly.
- 11:27Speaker 10: Showing the people in the front car, and then all
- 11:29Speaker 10: of a sudden I saw her. And then they also had.
- 11:31Speaker 17: An aerial shot.
- 11:32Speaker 13: There must have been a news helicopter.
- 11:34Speaker 20: And I see her sitting in.
- 11:36Speaker 10: There, and she throws up the peace sign.
- 11:38Speaker 6: And I'm like, is that you?
- 11:39Speaker 19: And she's like.
- 11:40Speaker 13: She's like, yep, that's me.
- 11:42Speaker 20: But she didn't have her phone on the roller coaster
- 11:43Speaker 20: or anything. So she called me once she got down.
- 11:46Speaker 20: So I was able to kind of see everything that
- 11:49Speaker 20: was head on. Because they were up there for, I think,
- 11:50Speaker 20: a good three to four hours.
- 11:52Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 11:52Speaker 9: That is a nightmare.
- 11:54Speaker 12: I feel like getting.
- 11:54Speaker 9: Down from here.
- 11:56Speaker 20: They like the police or the.
- 11:59Speaker 21: Fire department came ladders. They were actually.
- 12:01Speaker 20: Hanging over like some sort of like log ride. And
- 12:05Speaker 20: so she said when it derailed, the people that.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Were going by on the log ride.
- 12:09Speaker 20: Were just looking up like, is this really like these
- 12:13Speaker 20: people are hanging here?
- 12:15Speaker 5: It was crazy.
- 12:17Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 5: That is crazy because this just happened, right? I mean,
- 12:20Speaker 5: I know it just happened to you in 2014, but
- 12:22Speaker 5: it just happened. A piece fell and then a guy
- 12:24Speaker 5: died last week.
- 12:25Speaker 22: Yep.
- 12:26Speaker 12: Lots of rollercoaster accidents right now.
- 12:28Speaker 10: And it's all, it's almost all six flags, which.
- 12:32Speaker 13: Is crazy to me. And thank God, you know, she
- 12:35Speaker 13: was perfectly fine.
- 12:37Speaker 20: I did have her go like really quickly to get
- 12:39Speaker 20: checked out at the hospital that she was fine. The
- 12:42Speaker 20: guy in front of her got hit by the branch,
- 12:44Speaker 20: but he was fine. But yeah, like people.
- 12:48Speaker 16: Dying, brain injuries.
- 12:49Speaker 10: I'm like, no, I don't, let's not do roller coasters anymore.
- 12:52Speaker 5: You know, I found, I found your daughter's Facebook account.
- 12:56Speaker 5: So I'm scrolling. I've been scrolling the whole time to
- 13:00Speaker 5: find this picture, and I've scrolled through so many thousands
- 13:02Speaker 5: of pictures, and I'm still at 20, 25. That's how
- 13:06Speaker 5: many pictures she posts. She's like, this woman's daughter travels
- 13:10Speaker 5: all over the place. What a life she has.
- 13:13Speaker 20: She is a bit of an influencer. That is true,
- 13:15Speaker 20: and she does travel everywhere.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Like, I thought, okay, I'll screw it on a 2014.
- 13:19Speaker 5: It should be easy to find.
- 13:22Speaker 18: Nope.
- 13:22Speaker 10: No.
- 13:23Speaker 5: Can you just send it to us? Can you send
- 13:24Speaker 5: it to us so we can post it? Is there
- 13:26Speaker 5: anything like that?
- 13:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 5: That would be great.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 13:29Speaker 20: I'll call her up after this, and I'll get it
- 13:31Speaker 20: from her.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:32Speaker 4: But that is scary.
- 13:33Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Thank you for calling, Misty. Thanks for sharing that story
- 13:35Speaker 5: with us. Have a great day.
- 13:36Speaker 10: No problem.
- 13:37Speaker 18: Go!
- 13:38Speaker 4: Want to talk or throw some shade?
- 13:40Speaker 2: Oh, yeah!
- 13:40Speaker 21: Call John Jay and Rich.
- 13:41Speaker 22: 877-937-1047.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Lerner and Rowe is the way to go.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Time for Stacks and Hacks, you guys. Stacks and Hacks.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 5: A man on TikTok is complaining because Walmart's dynamic pricing
- 13:56Speaker 5: raised the price of butter between the time he picked
- 13:59Speaker 5: it up and walked to the checkout.
- 14:01Speaker 9: What?
- 14:03Speaker 5: Yeah, so he called the manager over and they said
- 14:05Speaker 5: it's normal. Here's what happened.
- 14:06Speaker 15: I grabbed my stuff and I'm very aware of prices
- 14:10Speaker 15: because of how high stuff is. And I go to checkout.
- 14:14Speaker 5: My prices are higher.
- 14:15Speaker 15: So I call the manager over and he comes over
- 14:19Speaker 15: and he says, the prices can change from the time
- 14:22Speaker 15: you leave the area to the time you get to
- 14:24Speaker 15: the register because the computer updates.
- 14:27Speaker 5: And I'm like, no, no, no, no.
- 14:28Speaker 15: You can't tell me that if I pick up an
- 14:30Speaker 15: item that's $ 3. 98, by the time I walk to the register,
- 14:34Speaker 15: which is less than two minutes, is this what we're doing, Walmart?
- 14:38Speaker 5: Like, are we serious?
- 14:39Speaker 12: Yeah, that's maddening.
- 14:41Speaker 19: Walmart makes enough money. Like don't nickel and dime your customers.
- 14:45Speaker 12: That's insane.
- 14:47Speaker 5: There's now another bizarre debate going viral. Are coffee shops
- 14:51Speaker 5: open early enough? Some people are hating on coffee shops
- 14:54Speaker 5: for being closed on the way to work. But small
- 14:58Speaker 5: shop baristas say no one shows up that early and
- 15:00Speaker 5: debate is going viral on TikTok.
- 15:01Speaker 11: I'm so confused because I need a coffee shop to explain.
- 15:04Speaker 23: To me why you're open at 9 a.m., You know
- 15:08Speaker 23: who wants to get coffee?
- 15:10Speaker 12: People who are tired.
- 15:11Speaker 6: You know who's tired?
- 15:13Speaker 9: People up before 9 a.m.
- 15:14Speaker 14: Amen.
- 15:14Speaker 7: Because they have to get to their 9 a.m.
- 15:18Speaker 6: Job.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Yeah, but you can go to Starbucks or Dutch Bros,
- 15:21Speaker 5: but we want to go to the normal mom and
- 15:22Speaker 5: pop ones, the fun ones. They're not open.
- 15:24Speaker 9: But usually those are kind of for like.
- 15:27Speaker 7: You to sit down and work and kind of enjoy
- 15:29Speaker 7: the vibe there.
- 15:31Speaker 9: I get it.
- 15:31Speaker 7: But then again, it's like their mom and pop, like
- 15:33Speaker 7: give them a break.
- 15:34Speaker 4: You want my business?
- 15:35Speaker 13: 4am.
- 15:35Speaker 4: That's when you got to open.
- 15:36Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 12: Maybe they can't find employees to work that early.
- 15:39Speaker 9: That's possible too.
- 15:41Speaker 5: Have you guys seen the remote control Uber Eats delivery robots?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:43Speaker 5: They're so cute.
- 15:44Speaker 9: They have little eyes.
- 15:47Speaker 5: So this woman had a confrontation with Uber Eats delivery robot.
- 15:52Speaker 5: She blocked the robot's path and got in trouble. And
- 15:56Speaker 5: here's her problem.
- 15:57Speaker 6: I know that.
- 15:58Speaker 18: They're taking the jobs of human delivery workers. And so
- 16:03Speaker 18: I have been protesting them whenever I saw them by
- 16:06Speaker 18: standing in front of them and preventing them from going forward.
- 16:11Speaker 9: I think it's my.
- 16:11Speaker 18: First amendment right to publicly demonstrate on a public sidewalk
- 16:16Speaker 18: my protest against delivery robots.
- 16:20Speaker 5: Interesting. You know how there's all this problem with people
- 16:24Speaker 5: in Hollywood upset with AI and AI music and AI
- 16:27Speaker 5: movies and AI actresses, right? Do you guys ever remember
- 16:30Speaker 5: the movie called Tron?
- 16:31Speaker 3: Of course.
- 16:32Speaker 5: It came out in 1982. It's called Tron. They've done
- 16:34Speaker 5: a bunch of sequels and spinoffs and prequels and remakes, right?
- 16:36Speaker 4: It's a tad dated now.
- 16:38Speaker 5: In 1982, it was not nominated for visual effects because
- 16:43Speaker 5: the Academy felt the producers cheated because they used computers. Oh,
- 16:48Speaker 5: so back then. So it's like at some point you
- 16:51Speaker 5: have to accept the technology because now everybody uses computers.
- 16:54Speaker 14: Sure.
- 16:55Speaker 23: Right.
- 16:55Speaker 5: So they wouldn't they wouldn't let it happen.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Toy Story was the first computer done movie, right?
- 16:59Speaker 19: Well, I feel like the best argument or best suggestion
- 17:02Speaker 19: that I've heard for that is just give AI its
- 17:04Speaker 19: own category.
- 17:05Speaker 12: You know what I mean? Like if people are going
- 17:07Speaker 12: to use it, just just categorize it differently.
- 17:09Speaker 5: You guys have also seen the failed attempts to use
- 17:12Speaker 5: drones to sneak contraband into prisons. You've seen that come
- 17:15Speaker 5: up in the news. Sometimes it works. In Canada, a
- 17:18Speaker 5: drone was able to deliver McDonald's McNuggets fries in dipping
- 17:22Speaker 5: sauce and even some alcohol to an inmate at a
- 17:24Speaker 5: correctional facility in Quebec.
- 17:26Speaker 19: No.
- 17:26Speaker 12: The nugs are that good.
- 17:27Speaker 5: It's okay. It's McDonald's. Don't shoot.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Don't shoot.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Don't shoot. Also, whatever happened to having people over for
- 17:34Speaker 5: dinner in 1975, 42% of the people say we'll host
- 17:38Speaker 5: friends and family at least once a month. Now it's
- 17:41Speaker 5: only 12%, only 12%.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Remember that we got company coming over.
- 17:46Speaker 7: I will say like, since I've been in my book
- 17:47Speaker 7: club once a month, me and all my girlfriends get
- 17:50Speaker 7: together and we have dinner at someone's house and it
- 17:52Speaker 7: has been such a good time and like so intentional
- 17:55Speaker 7: and we get to have so much fun with like
- 17:56Speaker 7: doing the themes.
- 17:57Speaker 9: Highly recommend. We should bring that back.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 18:01Speaker 4: You're making fun of me.
- 18:02Speaker 7: We're going to have our book club at your house
- 18:05Speaker 7: this next month, John.
- 18:05Speaker 5: My wife has Mahjong at my house every once in
- 18:08Speaker 5: a while.
- 18:08Speaker 9: We're reading Wuthering Heights.
- 18:09Speaker 5: We're having a big debate. I'm trying to not have
- 18:11Speaker 5: anybody over for Thanksgiving. I'm trying to do it somewhere else.
- 18:13Speaker 4: What is Thanksgiving?
- 18:16Speaker 5: There's 27 people on the list right now.
- 18:17Speaker 9: That's too many people.
- 18:19Speaker 4: That's a lot of people. Sounds fun, though. Be responsible
- 18:21Speaker 4: for it, too.
- 18:22Speaker 12: Just do potluck style. You're not responsible for it.
- 18:25Speaker 15: No.
- 18:25Speaker 12: I know you hate potlucks, but when it's your family, Peyton... I.
- 18:29Speaker 7: Literally just saw this article of, like, I think it was, like,
- 18:33Speaker 7: a bunch of people that worked at Walmart that did
- 18:34Speaker 7: a company potluck, and they all got, like, super, super
- 18:37Speaker 7: sick that they had to shut down the store because no.
- 18:39Speaker 9: One could work.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Yeah, work potluck, family potluck is different.
- 18:41Speaker 12: Yeah, family potluck.
- 18:42Speaker 9: I don't trust them either.
- 18:43Speaker 5: My wife and my mother-in-law would do all the cooking,
- 18:45Speaker 5: but I was trying to have it set somewhere else,
- 18:47Speaker 5: and then it backfired completely. That's a whole other story.
- 18:49Speaker 5: What do you got for life action?
- 18:50Speaker 4: Like a brewery or something? That's a good idea. All right,
- 18:52Speaker 4: so this is going to save you guys. I didn't
- 18:54Speaker 4: know about this trick, but... If you want to keep
- 18:57Speaker 4: ghosts out of your house, there's a simple trick, and
- 19:00Speaker 4: it is 200 years old. It's from the south. It
- 19:03Speaker 4: is painting your porch ceiling light blue. They call it
- 19:08Speaker 4: paint blue, like paint with an H. Paint blue. The
- 19:11Speaker 4: old belief was that the ghosts couldn't cross water, so
- 19:15Speaker 4: people paint their porch ceilings blue. to trick the ghost
- 19:18Speaker 4: into thinking that they were looking at water. Some people
- 19:21Speaker 4: even claim it keeps away wasps, too, like the bugs.
- 19:25Speaker 5: So ghosts are pretty stupid? There's water up in the air.
- 19:29Speaker 5: I can't go that way.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I mean, I'd rather have ghosts than a wasp. I
- 19:32Speaker 4: think wasps are the jerkiest bugs in the world. They
- 19:35Speaker 4: are pretty mean. So that life hack. Anybody more can
- 19:38Speaker 4: be found at johnjainrich.com.
- 19:40Speaker 23: Bye.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Bye.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Bye.
- 19:40Speaker 5: Hey, muster on the beat, ho.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Then stab this way.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Stab that way.
- 19:44Speaker 23: Then stab this way.
- 19:46Speaker 15: Stab that way.
- 19:52Speaker 5: It's time for a second date update. You meet somebody.
- 19:54Speaker 5: You go out on a date. You have a great time.
- 19:55Speaker 5: You expect there to be a second date. It doesn't happen.
- 19:58Speaker 5: You talk to your friends and family. They can't give
- 20:00Speaker 5: you the answers you want, so you come to us.
- 20:01Speaker 5: We're going to hear your story. We're going to call
- 20:03Speaker 5: the person blowing you off. Let's say hello to Derek.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Good morning, Derek.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I already know this is going to sound bad, but
- 20:08Speaker 2: I promise I have a legitimate explanation.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Okay, let's hear it.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I went out with this girl, Riley, and we had
- 20:13Speaker 2: an amazing time. Like, dinner was great. The chemistry was there.
- 20:16Speaker 2: We were laughing all night. And, you know, I ended
- 20:19Speaker 2: up going back to her place. One thing led to another.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I ended up spending the night, well, kind of, because, like,
- 20:24Speaker 2: around 3 in the morning, I woke up with the
- 20:27Speaker 2: worst stomach of my entire life.
- 20:29Speaker 5: We're stomach. I can tell you're nervous. And I know
- 20:32Speaker 5: that Dylan, our phone screener, she did a great job.
- 20:34Speaker 5: She told you to get to it because it's probably
- 20:36Speaker 5: a really long story, but I want you to take
- 20:37Speaker 5: your time. Talk to us, Derek. Don't stress. So you
- 20:41Speaker 5: met this girl. They, one thing led to another and
- 20:43Speaker 5: you end up sleeping at her house. You end up
- 20:45Speaker 5: getting intimate with her.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, like it was a great night. We had a
- 20:48Speaker 2: great time.
- 20:49Speaker 5: And then what happened to your stomach? When you said
- 20:50Speaker 5: you had the worst stomach, stomach what? Stomach ache? I
- 20:52Speaker 5: don't know, man.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I woke up at like three and I had this
- 20:55Speaker 2: really bad stomach ache.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Okay, stomach ache.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I've never had anything in my life.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Okay.
- 20:58Speaker 14: You know?
- 20:59Speaker 5: Okay, now go on. So you had a stomach ache,
- 21:01Speaker 5: and then what?
- 21:01Speaker 2: I panicked, I grabbed my stuff, and I left while
- 21:04Speaker 2: she was sleeping.
- 21:06Speaker 9: So that's where you think you went wrong.
- 21:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:08Speaker 22: Okay.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Well, I know how bad that looks, right? I genuinely
- 21:11Speaker 2: wasn't trying to sneak out on her, but. I texted
- 21:13Speaker 2: her when I got home explaining everything, apologized like a
- 21:16Speaker 2: million times, and I've gotten absolutely nothing back from her.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Put yourself in a situation, first of all, because your
- 21:22Speaker 5: stomach hurts. You're not going to go blow out her toilet.
- 21:23Speaker 5: You want to get the hell out of there.
- 21:25Speaker 19: At least you texted her explaining things.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I actually really like this girl. I don't want her
- 21:32Speaker 2: thinking I just used her for a hookup.
- 21:33Speaker 14: I'd love to see her again.
- 21:35Speaker 2: But at this point, I don't even know if she'll
- 21:36Speaker 2: talk to me. So I'm calling you guys to see
- 21:38Speaker 2: if you can help me explain.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I mean, we could definitely help patch that up because
- 21:41Speaker 4: I imagine what you're saying is the reason she's not
- 21:45Speaker 4: getting back to you. And if you have us on
- 21:47Speaker 4: your side, then maybe she'll see things in a different light.
- 21:50Speaker 14: Right.
- 21:50Speaker 7: It's like you have the ability to hook up with me,
- 21:53Speaker 7: but you don't have the ability to just like turn
- 21:55Speaker 7: and shake me and say, hey, I got to head out.
- 21:57Speaker 9: My stomach hurts.
- 21:58Speaker 7: Like, I can understand where she's coming from, but she
- 22:00Speaker 7: probably does want that explanation. She probably saw your text
- 22:02Speaker 7: and was like, screw this dude.
- 22:04Speaker 12: You, like, left something really weird behind.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Like stomach residue?
- 22:08Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, God.
- 22:10Speaker 12: I wasn't thinking that, but, yeah, I mean, that would
- 22:13Speaker 12: be worse.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Quite honestly, I hate to put this out here, Derek,
- 22:17Speaker 4: but maybe your lovemaking just wasn't on par.
- 22:19Speaker 9: That is always you, Rich. That's what you always go to.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I mean, maybe she just barely was tolerating her clumsy,
- 22:26Speaker 4: drooling lunges.
- 22:27Speaker 5: I think I did a pretty good job.
- 22:29Speaker 9: Okay.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Pretty good. It was pretty good.
- 22:32Speaker 5: All right, dude. So here's what we'll do. We'll call her.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Let her tell the story. Let her see what she
- 22:36Speaker 5: has to say. Maybe she's not mad at you for that.
- 22:40Speaker 5: Maybe she's mad at you for something else.
- 22:42Speaker 19: Maybe she's got the stomach ache now and can't respond.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Or you're a selfish lover.
- 22:47Speaker 5: All right. So her name's Riley. We're going to get
- 22:49Speaker 5: Riley on the phone. We're going to find out why
- 22:50Speaker 5: she's blowing you off. All right, Derek?
- 22:51Speaker 23: All right.
- 22:52Speaker 5: I really appreciate your help. You got it. So you
- 22:54Speaker 5: hang tight. Let us get her on the phone. Hold
- 22:55Speaker 5: on a second. All right.
- 22:56Speaker 15: All right.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Second date update continues next for John Jane Rich.
- 22:59Speaker 20: All right.
- 23:01Speaker 5: We are in the middle of second date update. You've
- 23:03Speaker 5: got Derek and Riley.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Well, there was magic on this date, according to Derek.
- 23:08Speaker 4: There was laughs. There was romance. There was even a
- 23:11Speaker 4: trip back to Riley's place where there was lovemaking. But
- 23:17Speaker 4: in the middle of the midnights. Derek got the bubble guts,
- 23:21Speaker 4: and he left the scene right away, leaving no explanation
- 23:25Speaker 4: in the middle of the night. But now that he's
- 23:27Speaker 4: tried to contact Riley, there is radio silence. She is
- 23:31Speaker 4: like a ghost of the Halloween season. She is not
- 23:34Speaker 4: returning his calls at all. He would like to make
- 23:36Speaker 4: up and get a second date. She is not responding
- 23:39Speaker 4: at all. That's where we come in. All right, Derek,
- 23:41Speaker 4: a pretty good recap. So you slept with her.
- 23:43Speaker 5: You slid out in the middle of the night, texted
- 23:45Speaker 5: her and told her why, but she never responded, right?
- 23:47Speaker 10: Correct.
- 23:48Speaker 5: All right, you stay quiet. We're going to get her on.
- 23:50Speaker 5: She's ready to go. All right, go ahead, patch her through. Riley. Riley. Hey,
- 23:57Speaker 5: how are you?
- 23:57Speaker 10: Hey, good morning.
- 23:59Speaker 23: Morning.
- 23:59Speaker 5: So thanks for jumping on the air with us.
- 24:01Speaker 14: Yeah, of course.
- 24:03Speaker 5: Trying to get some information on you on your date
- 24:05Speaker 5: with Derek, if you don't mind. Oh, yeah.
- 24:10Speaker 10: Yeah, I remember Derek.
- 24:13Speaker 9: That doesn't sound good.
- 24:14Speaker 4: It does not.
- 24:18Speaker 5: Wait, well, what do you want to say?
- 24:19Speaker 10: What's going on?
- 24:19Speaker 5: Well, he reached out to us, and he was giving
- 24:21Speaker 5: us the details of your date, and now he says
- 24:23Speaker 5: that you're not responding to his text messages, so we
- 24:26Speaker 5: thought we would call you and get your version.
- 24:27Speaker 10: Oh, wait.
- 24:29Speaker 14: He's wondering why I'm not texting him back?
- 24:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 14: Like, that's actually hilarious.
- 24:36Speaker 10: Did he even tell you what happened?
- 24:41Speaker 5: Well, did he tell you? I believe so. He said
- 24:43Speaker 5: you guys hit it off. He went back to your house,
- 24:44Speaker 5: and he... He had to leave pretty early. And he
- 24:48Speaker 5: texted you and told you why.
- 24:49Speaker 10: Okay, look.
- 24:52Speaker 14: I'd just love to know why a 29-year-old man thought
- 24:55Speaker 14: it was acceptable to pee in my bed and leave.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Did what? In your bed?
- 25:00Speaker 2: Riley, can I explain?
- 25:02Speaker 12: Oh, he's there.
- 25:03Speaker 9: Oh, my God. He knows exactly what happened.
- 25:08Speaker 14: Literally, okay, I woke up at 4 in the morning.
- 25:11Speaker 14: I'm literally laying in a wet bed. covered in a
- 25:15Speaker 14: grown man's pee.
- 25:17Speaker 22: Ew.
- 25:17Speaker 9: Gross.
- 25:18Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 21: No, I mean, I was a little super confused because,
- 25:20Speaker 21: I mean, I'm half asleep.
- 25:21Speaker 14: And then I realized what happened and, like, I almost
- 25:24Speaker 14: threw up.
- 25:25Speaker 10: Like, so, like, you peed in my bed.
- 25:27Speaker 21: No, instead of waking me up.
- 25:29Speaker 10: And apologizing to me or literally doing anything.
- 25:31Speaker 14: This man grabs his stuff and runs. Then I was
- 25:33Speaker 14: audacity to, like, text me the next day about his
- 25:35Speaker 14: stomach was hurting. What does that have to.
- 25:37Speaker 10: Do with you peeing in my bed?
- 25:38Speaker 14: Like, dude, I can call the radio station to, like,
- 25:41Speaker 14: ask me why I'm not calling you back.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Riley, I called because we were drinking that night, and
- 25:46Speaker 2: I think I had one of those dreams where I
- 25:47Speaker 2: thought I got up to use the bathroom.
- 25:52Speaker 13: So I called the show.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I was trying to get you back and talk to
- 25:55Speaker 2: you about it. I'm really sorry.
- 25:57Speaker 10: Well, I had to strip my entire bed.
- 25:59Speaker 5: I had to throw in my pillows.
- 26:00Speaker 14: I had to spend the entire next day trying to
- 26:02Speaker 14: figure out how to get your.
- 26:03Speaker 10: Grown man pee out of a mattress.
- 26:04Speaker 14: Like, you want another date?
- 26:05Speaker 10: Absolutely not. I mean, we could have a date where
- 26:09Speaker 10: you take me to go buy a new mattress.
- 26:10Speaker 5: How about that?
- 26:12Speaker 4: You're right.
- 26:12Speaker 23: I mean, I handled it wrong, horribly wrong.
- 26:15Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I was hoping you'd give me another chance, though.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, you did.
- 26:19Speaker 10: You just walked out and didn't even, like, wake me
- 26:21Speaker 10: up so I could get up and start cleaning. Like,
- 26:23Speaker 10: you just left me there laying in your.
- 26:24Speaker 5: Pee, bro.
- 26:25Speaker 21: I've soiled the good Krusty Krab name.
- 26:28Speaker 8: Soiled it. Soiled it.
- 26:30Speaker 19: Soiled it.
- 26:31Speaker 13: Soiled it.
- 26:32Speaker 21: Soiled it.
- 26:33Speaker 24: Soiled it.
- 26:34Speaker 4: I command you to stop that.
- 26:36Speaker 5: You know, as funny as he was worried, he left
- 26:38Speaker 5: because his stomach hurt. So I figured he was worried
- 26:41Speaker 5: that he was going to, you know, do something else
- 26:42Speaker 5: in the bed, but go and pee. Did you know
- 26:44Speaker 5: you peed in the bed, dude? Or did you not
- 26:45Speaker 5: know you peed in the bed? I, it.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Was a little wet. It didn't seem like it was,
- 26:50Speaker 2: I thought it could have been half.
- 26:51Speaker 15: Oh my God.
- 26:52Speaker 18: It wasn't a big thing.
- 26:53Speaker 5: You know, what's interesting for me, my, well, like first
- 26:55Speaker 5: I was like, oh, he peed in the bed, whatever.
- 26:57Speaker 5: But then when you start saying that you had to
- 26:58Speaker 5: pull the sheets, you had to pull them out, you
- 26:59Speaker 5: had to pull whatever. I'm like, oh my God, that,
- 27:01Speaker 5: that is right. And then you have this mattress. That's
- 27:03Speaker 5: your mattress that now has someone else's pee stain on it.
- 27:06Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 27:06Speaker 5: That's terrible.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 12: Tough to get out.
- 27:09Speaker 5: But what should he have done?
- 27:10Speaker 10: I have a protective cover on my mattress.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Oh, that's good.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Okay, so what should he have done? He should have, like,
- 27:15Speaker 5: just for future, as people that are listening to this,
- 27:18Speaker 5: any men, women, once they pee in the bed with
- 27:20Speaker 5: someone they just met, what should they do? Hey, wake up.
- 27:24Speaker 5: I peed in your bed.
- 27:24Speaker 10: It's super embarrassing, but at least let the person up
- 27:26Speaker 10: and apologize. Right.
- 27:27Speaker 9: Start helping clean.
- 27:29Speaker 10: And maybe they should reconcile something. I mean, it's really
- 27:32Speaker 10: awkward and really, you know, people.
- 27:33Speaker 14: Have accidents, I guess.
- 27:34Speaker 10: But, like, dude, you can't just leave somebody laying in,
- 27:37Speaker 10: you pee.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not cool.
- 27:39Speaker 9: That's gross.
- 27:39Speaker 7: Because I get, too, like, if his stomach hurt, like,
- 27:41Speaker 7: maybe he was, like, having the cold sweats, you know,
- 27:44Speaker 7: really just not feeling good.
- 27:46Speaker 9: Like, I can empathize with that.
- 27:48Speaker 7: But I can't empathize with, like, you just getting up
- 27:51Speaker 7: and dipping and not telling someone that you had an accident.
- 27:55Speaker 12: That's tough.
- 27:56Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 27:58Speaker 5: I handled it wrong. Totally wrong. I'm really sorry.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I really, you know, I'm hoping that we.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Could pass this up.
- 28:04Speaker 4: I wonder how you left that out when you were
- 28:05Speaker 4: talking to us.
- 28:06Speaker 9: Well, it's embarrassing. I get it. I get why you
- 28:08Speaker 9: wouldn't want to say anything.
- 28:10Speaker 5: It's not like it happened and he's running away. Like
- 28:11Speaker 5: he's still like, like he wants, like he's, you know
- 28:13Speaker 5: what I mean? Like, I think that would happen to me.
- 28:17Speaker 2: It wasn't that big of a spot. I didn't think
- 28:19Speaker 2: it was that big.
- 28:19Speaker 5: It must have been. But hold on for one second.
- 28:22Speaker 5: Hold on. So Riley, do you need a new mattress
- 28:24Speaker 5: or you said there was a cover on it? It's fine.
- 28:27Speaker 21: No, it went through the cover too.
- 28:30Speaker 5: Okay, okay, okay. So it was interesting. You need a
- 28:32Speaker 5: new mattress. Okay, so currently working right now, I am
- 28:35Speaker 5: with a mattress company called Bored Mattress Company. I'm trying
- 28:38Speaker 5: to get a deal with them so maybe we can
- 28:40Speaker 5: give them some love and they can jump on the
- 28:41Speaker 5: air and do an endorsement with us. B-O-R-E-D mattress.com. Check
- 28:45Speaker 5: them out. I have one of those. I have one
- 28:47Speaker 5: of them in my house right now.
- 28:49Speaker 10: I really don't want to have a day with you.
- 28:52Speaker 14: I wonder if they can on the radio to have
- 28:54Speaker 14: to explain all that.
- 28:55Speaker 5: That'd be a good campaign.
- 28:57Speaker 10: Hold on a second.
- 28:59Speaker 19: I'm trying to do a mattress commercial for board mattress
- 29:02Speaker 19: right now.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Oh, yes. Heaven forbid. If there was a slogan they
- 29:13Speaker 5: had about, you know, hey, your pee doesn't stay in
- 29:15Speaker 5: our mattresses.
- 29:16Speaker 4: You're in good hands with us.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Board mattress.com. You're in good hands with us. That's fantastic.
- 29:22Speaker 5: There you go.
- 29:22Speaker 4: You're in for a good night's sleep.
- 29:23Speaker 5: That's it. New endorsement deal for Rich and me. Board mattress.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Okay, Riley.
- 29:26Speaker 12: I'm so sorry.
- 29:27Speaker 9: I know.
- 29:27Speaker 12: I had to get that out.
- 29:28Speaker 5: We could also play along with you guys. So sorry.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Have fun with it. Be all over our mattress.
- 29:32Speaker 4: We're good.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Anyway, go ahead, Raleigh. Do
- 29:35Speaker 5: you want to see him again or do you not
- 29:36Speaker 5: want to see him again?
- 29:38Speaker 10: No, I'm good. I'm good.
- 29:40Speaker 14: I love your show.
- 29:41Speaker 21: Thank you for calling.
- 29:42Speaker 10: This is just so weird.
- 29:44Speaker 14: But have a good day and feel free to look
- 29:47Speaker 14: up that mattress thing if you want to send me one.
- 29:48Speaker 10: Other than that, don't contact me.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Okay, so if he sends you one, you'd be willing
- 29:52Speaker 5: to see him again?
- 29:53Speaker 10: No, I'll see him for the mattress.
- 29:56Speaker 4: Someone was making was just okay. He was right. He
- 29:59Speaker 4: said it was adequate. Just okay.
- 30:01Speaker 20: I got to go.
- 30:02Speaker 9: She's like, I don't got time for this.
- 30:04Speaker 5: All right. Well, thank you for going on the air
- 30:06Speaker 5: with us, Riley. There you go, Derek. That's why she's
- 30:08Speaker 5: blowing you off.
- 30:09Speaker 2: I know I didn't do the right thing, but I
- 30:11Speaker 2: think she could have come around, especially if you got
- 30:13Speaker 2: her a mattress.
- 30:13Speaker 5: It would have worked out. I'm going to get her
- 30:15Speaker 5: a mattress.
- 30:17Speaker 12: They just wanted the endorsement.
- 30:18Speaker 5: I'm trying to get an endorsement deal then because I
- 30:20Speaker 5: like the mattress.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Yeah, if you got Riley a new mattress, that would work, right?
- 30:25Speaker 4: Okay.
- 30:26Speaker 5: I'm trying to find them online.
- 30:27Speaker 4: She says no.
- 30:27Speaker 5: I can't find them online anymore.
- 30:28Speaker 12: That wouldn't even help.
- 30:29Speaker 14: So sorry.
- 30:30Speaker 5: Look, maybe they're already out of business. Prices were too good.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Maybe I'm wrong on the name.
- 30:35Speaker 5: All right. Thanks, Derek. Good luck. Don't pee in people's beds.
- 30:39Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 30:41Speaker 15: All right.
- 30:41Speaker 22: Bye.
- 30:41Speaker 21: I can't tell you why, but something inside.
- 30:45Speaker 24: Because of Riley.
- 30:49Speaker 5: J-I-I-I. A couple of text messages about second aid update. Oh,
- 30:56Speaker 5: my God, Richard, you're in good hands with us. L.O.L.
- 30:59Speaker 3: L.O.L.
- 31:00Speaker 5: L.O.L. Somebody just texted and corrected me. I'm not affiliated
- 31:05Speaker 5: with the mattress company you're talking about, but I'm pretty
- 31:07Speaker 5: sure you mean boring mattress. Yes, I do. I was
- 31:10Speaker 5: I was Googling board mattress and I couldn't find it.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Cause it's called the boring mattress company. I screwed that up.
- 31:18Speaker 5: I mean, a mattress made. There goes our endorsement. There
- 31:21Speaker 5: goes our endorsement.
- 31:22Speaker 4: A mattress made out of a board. Doesn't sound terribly comfortable.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Hey, by the way, we're going to get into scariest,
- 31:27Speaker 5: the scariest thing that's ever happened to you ever. Right? 877-937-1047.
- 31:30Speaker 5: But I have to tell you this. I think I
- 31:33Speaker 5: came up with a genius costume idea. I've never heard
- 31:37Speaker 5: of anybody else coming up with it before. I think
- 31:39Speaker 5: it's inexpensive and I think it's going to be a
- 31:41Speaker 5: home run. And I will tell you within 15 minutes,
- 31:45Speaker 5: I'm very excited about it. Right now, though, the scariest
- 31:48Speaker 5: thing that's ever happened to you. Dulce, good morning.
- 31:51Speaker 10: Hi.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Hi, what's up?
- 31:52Speaker 16: Good morning.
- 31:53Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 31:54Speaker 11: So, several years ago, my husband and I went to
- 31:58Speaker 11: visit family down in South Texas. And we were at
- 32:03Speaker 11: my in-laws' house with the kids, family, everything. We were
- 32:08Speaker 11: staying at my mom's house, which is another town over. So,
- 32:11Speaker 11: after midnight... I kind of started nagging at my husband
- 32:14Speaker 11: that we needed to get back to my mom's house
- 32:16Speaker 11: since we had the kids and every, you know, the
- 32:18Speaker 11: kids were little back then. So we pack up the car,
- 32:21Speaker 11: we start driving back to my mom's. And at that
- 32:25Speaker 11: time it was past, like I said, it was, it
- 32:27Speaker 11: was probably like 1230 ish. It was very cold outside.
- 32:30Speaker 11: It's probably like in the twenties and for Texas, that's
- 32:33Speaker 11: really cold. So, um, we're driving and there's no cars
- 32:38Speaker 11: out on the road. We're the only ones out there. And, um,
- 32:42Speaker 11: I look up ahead and at an intersection straight up ahead,
- 32:45Speaker 11: I see someone standing at the intersection. And as we're
- 32:49Speaker 11: getting closer, I'm looking around. I'm like, there's no cars
- 32:51Speaker 11: out here.
- 32:52Speaker 9: It is really late.
- 32:54Speaker 11: And it looks like it's a woman because I could
- 32:56Speaker 11: see she was wearing a black dress. And I tell
- 33:00Speaker 11: my husband, what is this woman doing out here in
- 33:02Speaker 11: the cold like this late? So then he focuses and
- 33:06Speaker 11: he sees her, too.
- 33:07Speaker 21: He's like, oh, my God, you're right.
- 33:09Speaker 11: So as we're getting closer to her, I can see
- 33:11Speaker 11: she's wearing this, like, old-looking black dress, and she has
- 33:16Speaker 11: this veil over her head. Her head is bowed down,
- 33:20Speaker 11: and her hands are, like, one over the other, laying
- 33:24Speaker 11: on her stomach. And we're both looking at her as
- 33:28Speaker 11: we're approaching the intersection, and then that's when I notice
- 33:31Speaker 11: she has no legs. She's literally floating at that intersection.
- 33:35Speaker 11: And we both start picking out, and I'm, like, at
- 33:38Speaker 11: this point.
- 33:40Speaker 11: At this point, I start yelling to my husband. She
- 33:42Speaker 11: has no legs. She has no legs. And we get
- 33:47Speaker 11: to the point where she's literally on my husband's window,
- 33:50Speaker 11: like on his side. And we both are just looking
- 33:54Speaker 11: at her. I can't see a face because, again, she
- 33:56Speaker 11: has like this veil over her head. And we cross
- 34:00Speaker 11: the intersection. My husband starts screaming, let's go back, let's
- 34:03Speaker 11: go back. I'm like, no, like hell you're going back.
- 34:05Speaker 11: Because I'm thinking I'm going to look back and see
- 34:07Speaker 11: her sitting in.
- 34:08Speaker 25: The back seat with the kids.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Come on, you're telling us you saw La Llorona? That's
- 34:14Speaker 5: what you're saying?
- 34:16Speaker 11: I don't think she was La Llorona because she was
- 34:18Speaker 11: not howling in the intersection.
- 34:21Speaker 5: Just because she wasn't howling? Well, La Llorona I think
- 34:23Speaker 5: is in white. I think she's all in white, by
- 34:25Speaker 5: the way. But anyway, so maybe you saw a competitor
- 34:27Speaker 5: of La Llorona.
- 34:28Speaker 12: No, this is all black.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yeah, she's all black.
- 34:30Speaker 11: And then so my husband picks up the phone. He
- 34:32Speaker 11: calls his brother that lives literally two minutes down the road,
- 34:36Speaker 11: tells him what we just saw. So my nephew and
- 34:40Speaker 11: him get in the car. They speed over there. We're
- 34:43Speaker 11: still on speakerphone with him. And he's like, there's no
- 34:45Speaker 11: one out here.
- 34:46Speaker 5: We're like, there is.
- 34:47Speaker 11: She was standing right there at the intersection. He's like,
- 34:49Speaker 11: there's no cars. There's nobody. There's nobody here. So we
- 34:55Speaker 11: know what we saw. She had no legs.
- 34:56Speaker 16: She was just floating there.
- 34:58Speaker 4: That's the other thing.
- 34:59Speaker 11: You know.
- 34:59Speaker 4: Doesn't La Llorona, doesn't she have legs? She's floating.
- 35:03Speaker 11: She pops up in your backseat. She had nothing. I
- 35:06Speaker 11: could not see legs beyond the knee down. Like there
- 35:09Speaker 11: was nothing there.
- 35:09Speaker 4: That was Timu Llorona.
- 35:12Speaker 9: That's so creepy.
- 35:14Speaker 11: Like the fact that you.
- 35:15Speaker 12: Both saw it. It wasn't just you. Like you have confirmation.
- 35:18Speaker 11: And she was like two feet away from the window.
- 35:21Speaker 11: Like as we were passing her. So we know what
- 35:24Speaker 11: we saw.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Okay. So did you do any research to find out
- 35:28Speaker 5: what happened in that area? Because that's the thing with Laiana.
- 35:31Speaker 5: She's looking for her kids. She's crying.
- 35:33Speaker 11: I did look. We did look it up as soon
- 35:35Speaker 11: as we got to my mom's. And the only thing
- 35:37Speaker 11: we could find is other people saying that they had
- 35:40Speaker 11: seen her in that same street. The street is bicentennial,
- 35:44Speaker 11: so people would see her in different spots of that street.
- 35:48Speaker 11: There's a museum at the end of that street, and
- 35:50Speaker 11: people had seen her at.
- 35:51Speaker 26: That museum area.
- 35:53Speaker 6: So I had lived.
- 35:54Speaker 11: There my entire life. I'd never seen or heard anything
- 35:58Speaker 11: about this until we looked it up, and people were like, hey,
- 36:01Speaker 11: I saw.
- 36:01Speaker 16: This woman in a black dress, black veil.
- 36:04Speaker 11: Hands over her stomach, just standing there, just in different
- 36:08Speaker 11: areas at that whole intersection.
- 36:10Speaker 4: Okay, I want to look it up.
- 36:12Speaker 5: Tell us exactly what part of, like what.
- 36:14Speaker 4: City in the part you're talking about.
- 36:15Speaker 11: The city is McAllen, Texas.
- 36:18Speaker 5: McAllen, Texas. Hey, we'll be there for the parade.
- 36:21Speaker 7: Oh, nice.
- 36:22Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 36:22Speaker 11: So yeah, it's McAllen, Texas. And the street is Bicentennial.
- 36:26Speaker 11: That's where, I mean, it's a woman in black. I
- 36:28Speaker 11: know I posted my story in a forum and another,
- 36:33Speaker 11: I guess like a Texas ghost stories, whatever from that
- 36:36Speaker 11: area posted my story on there. And that's where we
- 36:39Speaker 11: had also seen other people. commented on the thread up
- 36:42Speaker 11: there that they had seen her as well.
- 36:44Speaker 5: We're on the, we're in the I heart float at
- 36:47Speaker 5: the parade on December 5th. I wonder if we can get,
- 36:49Speaker 5: we can get La Llorona, your La Llorona to be
- 36:51Speaker 5: on the float with us.
- 36:52Speaker 4: She'd be awesome in the Vuelta zone.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:55Speaker 4: No legs spinning around like that.
- 36:56Speaker 11: Where, where that stadium where you guys will go to.
- 36:59Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 37:00Speaker 11: The intersection was Tamara's Bicentennial Fat Corner. We were literally
- 37:04Speaker 11: right next to the stadium.
- 37:05Speaker 5: You look it up, Kyle?
- 37:07Speaker 11: You literally will be on that street where she was seen.
- 37:10Speaker 4: I don't want to go there now.
- 37:11Speaker 5: Now that I know it's real, forget it. What do
- 37:14Speaker 5: you got, Kyle?
- 37:15Speaker 19: It's like the sighting of the woman in the black
- 37:18Speaker 19: veil and dress is like part of the local ghost
- 37:22Speaker 19: lore surrounding the historic Casa de Palmas Hotel in downtown.
- 37:27Speaker 19: She's seen like Sometimes in the hotels, sometimes like right
- 37:30Speaker 19: around there.
- 37:30Speaker 5: Forget it.
- 37:31Speaker 12: And it's caused traffic incidents.
- 37:33Speaker 5: Now I believe it.
- 37:33Speaker 10: Forget it.
- 37:34Speaker 5: I wasn't going to have fun with you, but forget it.
- 37:36Speaker 4: I don't mess.
- 37:37Speaker 5: With that stuff.
- 37:38Speaker 11: Like I said, I lived there my entire life and
- 37:40Speaker 11: I had never, ever, ever seen anything like that until
- 37:43Speaker 11: that night. And it freaked us out.
- 37:46Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Well, come say hi to us. We're at the parade.
- 37:49Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 37:49Speaker 11: Well, I live in Colorado Springs now, so I might
- 37:52Speaker 11: not be down there, but.
- 37:55Speaker 26: I hope you guys like it.
- 37:56Speaker 5: There's more ghosts there too. All right, Dulce, thanks for listening.
- 37:59Speaker 5: And thank you for sharing that story with us.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Yeah, have a good one.
- 38:02Speaker 5: We're going to play Minute to Win It. We need
- 38:03Speaker 5: a contestant at 877-937-1047. And then we're going to get
- 38:07Speaker 5: into more real scary stories. Now, they don't have to
- 38:09Speaker 5: be ghost related, although it fits with Halloween. But also
- 38:12Speaker 5: just scary, scary, the scariest thing that's ever happened to you.
- 38:16Speaker 5: Want me to tell you my costume, my Halloween costume?
- 38:19Speaker 4: Yeah, come on, reveal.
- 38:21Speaker 5: I literally, I woke up with this idea. And I
- 38:27Speaker 5: couldn't wait to tell you guys. And then I thought
- 38:29Speaker 5: I was going to forget. I need to write it down.
- 38:31Speaker 5: So when I got up this morning, I wrote it
- 38:33Speaker 5: down and I was pretty darn excited about it because
- 38:36Speaker 5: I think it's more like I'm not going to do it.
- 38:39Speaker 5: But I think it's a it's a great tip for
- 38:43Speaker 5: anyone listening that's like confused about what they want to
- 38:45Speaker 5: do for Halloween. And I think it's a smash. OK,
- 38:48Speaker 5: all you need is like, you know, some fake vampire
- 38:51Speaker 5: teeth you can get our teeth. And then I think maybe.
- 38:54Speaker 5: You can do whatever you want, but just hear me out.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Vampire teeth kind of dress like a Elvira a little bit,
- 39:00Speaker 5: maybe like the black sexy outfit and a guitar. And
- 39:05Speaker 5: you're Ella Fangley.
- 39:06Speaker 4: That's pretty good. Ella Fangley.
- 39:10Speaker 5: Ella Fangley.
- 39:11Speaker 4: No, I'm a fan of this. This is good. Yeah,
- 39:14Speaker 4: it's good. That's way better than I thought.
- 39:17Speaker 12: That is good.
- 39:18Speaker 9: You're going to need the wig with the bangs, though.
- 39:21Speaker 9: Cowboy boots. You got to pull it off.
- 39:23Speaker 4: Yeah, cowboy boots.
- 39:25Speaker 5: You can probably make it better.
- 39:27Speaker 7: Make sure you have a karaoke machine with you if
- 39:28Speaker 7: you're going to a party.
- 39:29Speaker 4: I mean, if you're heading to the Wicked Bell, that
- 39:31Speaker 4: might win you. I know.
- 39:32Speaker 2: It's very creative.
- 39:33Speaker 9: It's really creative.
- 39:34Speaker 12: It's very creative.
- 39:35Speaker 5: In fact, Taylor Swift should do that for Halloween.
- 39:36Speaker 16: That'd be good.
- 39:38Speaker 4: I'm Nella Fangley. Yeah, she would win. She would win
- 39:40Speaker 4: the Wicked Bowl.
- 39:41Speaker 5: You get the guitar, especially if you could sing and
- 39:43Speaker 5: play guitar. That'd be great. Anyway, I thought I should.
- 39:45Speaker 5: I literally woke up all excited. Anyway, we're going to
- 39:48Speaker 5: play Minute to Win It. April, hello.
- 39:50Speaker 26: Hi, morning.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Good morning. Where are you, April?
- 39:55Speaker 16: I'm in Phoenix.
- 39:59Speaker 5: What part of town?
- 40:00Speaker 16: By McDowell.
- 40:04Speaker 17: I'm headed to work.
- 40:05Speaker 5: By McDowell, you know what? That's where La Llorona is mostly.
- 40:08Speaker 4: The real one.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Look for a lady in a black dress. Most likely
- 40:11Speaker 5: it's a prostitute. April, give us a little fun fact
- 40:18Speaker 5: about yourself.
- 40:22Speaker 21: I was born in April, so that's why I'm named April.
- 40:26Speaker 5: Oh, that's a good fun fact.
- 40:27Speaker 17: I just not spelled the same.
- 40:29Speaker 5: How do you spell your name?
- 40:32Speaker 6: A-P-R-Y-L-L.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Oh, that's good.
- 40:35Speaker 4: A little extra Y.
- 40:36Speaker 5: You know what's funny?
- 40:37Speaker 4: A couple L's.
- 40:38Speaker 5: Your parents did that to you, and that means that
- 40:39Speaker 5: your name had to be misspelled your entire life.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Yep.
- 40:44Speaker 10: Right?
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yep, pretty much.
- 40:45Speaker 5: It's like, why mom and dad? Like, why are they
- 40:47Speaker 5: trying to get clever? But still, in all the paperwork,
- 40:49Speaker 5: everything's always been misspelled. In a lot of ways. I
- 40:51Speaker 5: bet you going to TSA is probably a problem.
- 40:53Speaker 4: They're kind of lazy, because they just named you after
- 40:55Speaker 4: the month you were born. But then they're like, well,
- 40:57Speaker 4: we've got to do something to put some pizzazz on it.
- 40:59Speaker 4: Pretty much.
- 41:01Speaker 26: Yeah, when it's actually April, I'm like, hold up, that's
- 41:04Speaker 26: not how you spell it.
- 41:05Speaker 19: It's my name, not.
- 41:07Speaker 5: Are you ready to try to win $ 1, 000?
- 41:11Speaker 16: I'm ready.
- 41:12Speaker 5: Let's do it.
- 41:13Speaker 8: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 41:16Speaker 8: Peoria Ford right now.
- 41:18Speaker 13: Minute to win it.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Okay, 60 seconds on the clock. You get them all right.
- 41:22Speaker 4: You win $ 1, 000. April, the Brewers in the Rays are
- 41:26Speaker 4: in the World Series. What team has won the most
- 41:29Speaker 4: World Series championships of all time?
- 41:32Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 41:36Speaker 25: I don't know.
- 41:37Speaker 16: Red Sox?
- 41:41Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 41:42Speaker 5: What a bummer.
- 41:42Speaker 21: That's a hard one.
- 41:44Speaker 22: That is hard.
- 41:45Speaker 9: Yankees?
- 41:46Speaker 15: Yankees. Yankees.
- 41:47Speaker 9: Yankees.
- 41:50Speaker 16: Oh, I'm not good at any sports questions.
- 41:53Speaker 5: Yeah. Me neither. Sorry, April. That's a bummer. That was
- 41:56Speaker 5: a hard one. Sorry, April.
- 41:59Speaker 22: Yay.
- 42:01Speaker 5: We're going to set you up with a gift card
- 42:05Speaker 5: to Taco Del Taco. Del Taco. All right.
- 42:08Speaker 8: Okay.
- 42:08Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 42:09Speaker 6: Thanks, April.
- 42:10Speaker 5: That was a tough one, Barra. Wasn't the whole pitch
- 42:14Speaker 5: on this, was it like fifth grade? Or am I
- 42:15Speaker 5: getting that confused in another game?
- 42:17Speaker 12: No, that was this.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Well, I mean, they're all fifth grade. How many people
- 42:20Speaker 4: in fifth grade know that the Yankees have won the
- 42:22Speaker 4: World Series? I don't know how many people know, but
- 42:24Speaker 4: it is a fair question. Just because she missed it
- 42:27Speaker 4: doesn't mean it's a bad question. You know, we've asked
- 42:30Speaker 4: who's won the most Super Bowls. Tom Brady. And this
- 42:34Speaker 4: fits right in there. Who's won the most World Series?
- 42:36Speaker 4: The Yankees.
- 42:37Speaker 5: Elmer, good morning. Thanks for holding.
- 42:40Speaker 23: Hi, good morning.
- 42:41Speaker 5: So you have a real scary story.
- 42:46Speaker 23: Yeah, growing up, we had, oh, I'm sorry. You've been
- 42:54Speaker 23: on hold 10 minutes.
- 42:55Speaker 5: That was little. All right, go ahead, start over.
- 42:57Speaker 23: We had a spirit follow my family from house to
- 43:01Speaker 23: house that we moved. I had a twin brother, a
- 43:03Speaker 23: little brother, and a sister, and we all saw this
- 43:08Speaker 23: silhouette of this white man I'm sorry, this man in
- 43:12Speaker 23: a white suit and a white top hat. We would
- 43:16Speaker 23: see him in the middle of the night growing up,
- 43:19Speaker 23: like in our peripherals. If you try to look at him,
- 43:21Speaker 23: he would vanish. He would disappear. We would never see
- 43:25Speaker 23: his face. We would like, and in the middle of
- 43:28Speaker 23: the night, you could feel like your feet being grabbed.
- 43:32Speaker 23: You can feel like a weight, like somebody sitting on you.
- 43:35Speaker 23: And this happened throughout my childhood. My brothers felt that
- 43:41Speaker 23: they saw him. And then eventually, we would hear footsteps
- 43:46Speaker 23: in the middle of the night, like skidding, like at
- 43:49Speaker 23: a gymnasium. You could hear the skids. You could hear
- 43:52Speaker 23: a plastic cup being set on the table. It just
- 43:56Speaker 23: kept going on and on. And my sister had a
- 43:58Speaker 23: physical interaction. And she had claw marks on the back
- 44:03Speaker 23: of her back and her legs. And it felt like
- 44:07Speaker 23: it was a demon. They just followed our family. It
- 44:10Speaker 23: wasn't just a haunting of one house.
- 44:12Speaker 21: It was a spirit that just kept.
- 44:14Speaker 23: On following us. We stopped seeing or hearing these spirits
- 44:19Speaker 23: once my dad passed away. And from there, we've had
- 44:22Speaker 23: nothing but good luck.
- 44:25Speaker 5: Like what kind of good luck? What do you mean?
- 44:27Speaker 5: You win a lottery? Like, no, no.
- 44:29Speaker 23: Well, just like we got, our family has like grown together.
- 44:36Speaker 10: Like how is it?
- 44:38Speaker 23: We've had stable jobs. We don't have any, like, we're
- 44:43Speaker 23: good in health. Like, everything's like, you feel like you're
- 44:48Speaker 23: always being pushed back. Now it feels like we've been
- 44:51Speaker 23: pushed forward.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Got an angel.
- 44:52Speaker 5: Okay, so let me, so I want to re-understand this.
- 44:56Speaker 5: So your spirit that was evil in your house was
- 44:59Speaker 5: a man in a white suit with a white top hat.
- 45:06Speaker 5: That's such a weird visual for that to be evil.
- 45:09Speaker 5: I feel like it's an old vaudeville comedian.
- 45:11Speaker 4: That's right. I'm grabbing your toes.
- 45:13Speaker 15: See?
- 45:14Speaker 12: Hello, my baby.
- 45:15Speaker 5: Hello, my love. Hello, baby. He's got like a white cane.
- 45:19Speaker 4: It's showtime.
- 45:20Speaker 5: 101 trombones in the parade. I'm trying to. Come on.
- 45:23Speaker 4: Find a trombone line.
- 45:25Speaker 12: I think the dad was cursed.
- 45:26Speaker 5: Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
- 45:27Speaker 4: But it sounds like your dad, like when he died,
- 45:30Speaker 4: he went and took care of business, cleared out the house.
- 45:32Speaker 5: What part of, what city was that in?
- 45:34Speaker 23: What's interesting about that is my mom is already remarried
- 45:38Speaker 23: and I have my dad's ashes, which is, and they live,
- 45:43Speaker 23: you know, they live with me. And my father-in-law feels
- 45:47Speaker 23: like he has a presence, you know, around the house.
- 45:49Speaker 23: And I haven't felt anything. So I'm like, what if
- 45:51Speaker 23: it's like restarting for my father-in-law?
- 45:55Speaker 5: Hey, what city? Where'd you grow up? Where'd this happen?
- 45:59Speaker 23: This was here in Phoenix. I moved to Glendale and
- 46:07Speaker 23: to Peoria. Actually, Peoria didn't happen.
- 46:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Peoria doesn't have ghosts.
- 46:11Speaker 5: You know what? It reminds me of, I wonder if
- 46:13Speaker 5: it was the spirit of Wallace and Ladmo.
- 46:16Speaker 4: You guys know Wallace and Ladmo? Yeah, of course.
- 46:18Speaker 5: I grew up with them. They had a local TV
- 46:20Speaker 5: show here and one of them had a top hat,
- 46:21Speaker 5: but it was like a t-shirt and they always wore
- 46:23Speaker 5: a top hat. Oh, dude, that's crazy, man.
- 46:26Speaker 23: It felt like we were cursed or maybe it was
- 46:28Speaker 23: just something that was specifically to my dad or my
- 46:32Speaker 23: dad's fighting off the spirit.
- 46:34Speaker 5: Oh, specific.
- 46:35Speaker 4: Oh, that's interesting that it was following around your dad,
- 46:38Speaker 4: not you guys.
- 46:39Speaker 5: I would have told your mom not to get remarried.
- 46:41Speaker 5: Think about that, mom. Or you know what the guy
- 46:44Speaker 5: should do? Your stepdad, he should put on a white
- 46:46Speaker 5: suit and a top hat for Halloween.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Good morning, Elmer.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Elmer, thanks for calling in, dude. Thank you for listening.
- 46:54Speaker 23: Thank you, guys.
- 46:55Speaker 4: I'm going to go.
- 46:57Speaker 14: See?
- 46:57Speaker 5: Gloria, what's the scariest thing that's ever happened to.
- 47:02Speaker 20: You?
- 47:02Speaker 1: So this happened to me about 20 years ago. I
- 47:06Speaker 1: was eight years old. You know how, you know, you're
- 47:10Speaker 1: a kid. You're in like a dark room. You're like
- 47:13Speaker 1: scared of the shadows that are like up in the
- 47:14Speaker 1: ceiling type thing. Well, that was me. Super scared. Always
- 47:20Speaker 1: thought that there was something just up in the ceiling
- 47:23Speaker 1: watching me. Well, I go to bed one night and
- 47:26Speaker 1: I had this nightmare. Basically went to the park with
- 47:32Speaker 1: my sister and she all of a sudden disappeared. And
- 47:37Speaker 1: this random guy was following me home because I was like, well,
- 47:40Speaker 1: you know, my sister's gone. Maybe she went home. I'm
- 47:42Speaker 1: going to go home. Walking home, random guy was following me.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And this guy, he ended up like throwing a knife
- 47:50Speaker 1: at me and crazy as an eight-year-old dreaming that. But
- 47:56Speaker 1: threw a knife in my back of the right shoulder
- 47:59Speaker 1: and I woke up and my shoulder was bleeding like
- 48:04Speaker 1: there was a cut there bleeding all over the pillow.
- 48:08Speaker 1: And crazy part was years, years later, my great grandparents
- 48:14Speaker 1: give me this photo album of my biological dad. I
- 48:18Speaker 1: had never seen him before in my life. The man
- 48:21Speaker 1: in my dream was Was the same man that's my
- 48:25Speaker 1: biological father in that photo album.
- 48:28Speaker 5: Oh, that's true.
- 48:30Speaker 13: What?
- 48:30Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 48:31Speaker 1: And I remember it clear as day. I still have
- 48:34Speaker 1: the scar to.
- 48:35Speaker 10: This day, actually.
- 48:37Speaker 12: That's wild.
- 48:39Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 48:40Speaker 1: So that's the scariest thing that has ever happened to me.
- 48:43Speaker 5: See, I was going to go with, like, try to
- 48:45Speaker 5: defunct it and be kind of like, you know, like
- 48:46Speaker 5: whenever you're having a dream that you're swimming or you're
- 48:49Speaker 5: peeing and all of a sudden you're peeing in bed.
- 48:52Speaker 5: I wonder if you scratched yourself so hard that you
- 48:55Speaker 5: caused yourself to bleed. And that was your dream. You
- 48:58Speaker 5: were dreaming that a man was stabbing you, but then
- 49:00Speaker 5: you were doing this and you ripped your skin. But
- 49:02Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 49:03Speaker 9: But still scary to see.
- 49:04Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Because when you're eight years old.
- 49:06Speaker 9: You're a biological dad, though.
- 49:07Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 49:08Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 49:09Speaker 1: No, I had no idea because I never met my
- 49:13Speaker 1: biological dad. He died before I was born. Um, but
- 49:18Speaker 1: the way he died was just, I guess, kind of gruesome.
- 49:22Speaker 1: He offed himself in front of my mom.
- 49:24Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. Yeah.
- 49:28Speaker 13: Um, wow.
- 49:29Speaker 5: How's your mom now? Is your mom okay?
- 49:33Speaker 1: Um, I, family issues. I, haven't spoken to her in
- 49:38Speaker 1: about 10 years. Um, she was an alcoholic and a
- 49:43Speaker 1: drug addict and things happened that shouldn't have happened. But, um, no,
- 49:49Speaker 1: it was just very, I guess, traumatizing for her. And
- 49:52Speaker 1: that was the route that she took. Um, but it just,
- 49:57Speaker 1: when I got older and realized, wow, that man of
- 49:59Speaker 1: my dream was my father. It made me just really
- 50:03Speaker 1: think like, wow, is he just an angry spirit that's
- 50:09Speaker 1: just pissed off at the world right now.
- 50:11Speaker 5: So did he have a white suit and a top hat?
- 50:16Speaker 1: No, no, no. He actually, uh, kind of just was
- 50:23Speaker 1: wearing like all black, uh, and like his face. Um,
- 50:30Speaker 1: like I remember it specifically, uh, just his face it
- 50:34Speaker 1: was kind of like scratched up and had like blood
- 50:36Speaker 1: coming down it and then uh he had like red hair.
- 50:41Speaker 4: Weird that is very scary well you know it's probably
- 50:44Speaker 4: good that you're away from all of that anyway you
- 50:46Speaker 4: know oh yeah we want to hear your voice on
- 50:50Speaker 4: the john jay and rich show send us a top
- 50:52Speaker 4: back from the red microphone button on the free iheart
- 50:54Speaker 4: radio app.
- 50:54Speaker 24: Your voice message will come right to us in the
- 50:57Speaker 24: studio and we'll take it.
- 50:59Speaker 5: From there Hey, we're going to get into more real,
- 51:01Speaker 5: real scary stories. But first, I got a DM from
- 51:03Speaker 5: Tamara that I find scary for us. And I wanted
- 51:07Speaker 5: to break it down and troubleshoot it. Good morning, Tamara.
- 51:09Speaker 5: What's the story? What's going on?
- 51:12Speaker 6: Hey.
- 51:13Speaker 20: Okay.
- 51:13Speaker 21: So it's so weird. The last two or three days,
- 51:20Speaker 21: like around 7 o'clock, I've been hearing this cat meow.
- 51:26Speaker 21: And at first I.
- 51:27Speaker 10: Thought it was my cat. But then obviously, no, it
- 51:31Speaker 10: wasn't my cat.
- 51:33Speaker 21: And so I just was like, what the heck is
- 51:35Speaker 21: going on with.
- 51:37Speaker 6: The radio station?
- 51:38Speaker 25: And I was like, I was wondering if it was
- 51:40Speaker 25: like a.
- 51:41Speaker 21: Contest or something. If I heard the cat meow, did
- 51:46Speaker 21: I win something?
- 51:49Speaker 5: And how are you listening to us when you hear it?
- 51:51Speaker 21: I listen to you guys on the iHeartRadio app on
- 51:56Speaker 21: my phone to get ready to you guys.
- 51:58Speaker 5: What city are you in?
- 52:01Speaker 21: I live in Ashland, Oregon.
- 52:03Speaker 5: Okay, so when you're listening to us on the iHeart app,
- 52:05Speaker 5: are you home or in your car?
- 52:08Speaker 21: I'm at home.
- 52:10Speaker 5: I'm guessing it is your cat.
- 52:12Speaker 4: She said, obviously, it's not my cat.
- 52:13Speaker 5: Why is it obviously not your cat? Because it's not us.
- 52:16Speaker 5: Unless it's April 1st.
- 52:19Speaker 4: We would not plot that far ahead. I.
- 52:24Speaker 21: I at first thought it was my cat, but then
- 52:28Speaker 21: it happened again and he was standing right next to
- 52:31Speaker 21: me and he was not meowing.
- 52:33Speaker 19: Maybe your cat has a cat friend secretly living in
- 52:35Speaker 19: your house.
- 52:36Speaker 5: Yeah, in your walls or something. Maybe your cat can
- 52:38Speaker 5: throw its voice. Well, how do you know it's not?
- 52:40Speaker 5: You heard the meow, then you look at your cat.
- 52:43Speaker 5: Because he already meowed. Maybe he's not going to meow again.
- 52:45Speaker 5: He's like, oh, she looked at me. I'm not going
- 52:46Speaker 5: to meow. I'm telling you, it's not us. I promise you.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Unless we're playing the same clip somewhere. Is it the
- 52:51Speaker 5: same thing? That's possible, I guess. That's very possible. Do
- 52:55Speaker 5: you know what was playing?
- 52:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:57Speaker 15: What?
- 52:59Speaker 21: On April Fools, yeah. It was like that.
- 53:02Speaker 5: I know, but what was the clip you were listening
- 53:04Speaker 5: to when we were playing it?
- 53:05Speaker 3: Oh.
- 53:06Speaker 5: Was it just us talking like right now?
- 53:09Speaker 21: It happened when you guys were talking, but then this
- 53:12Speaker 21: morning it happened in a song.
- 53:14Speaker 22: Oh.
- 53:15Speaker 5: What the heck?
- 53:16Speaker 12: That's weird. That's really weird.
- 53:18Speaker 5: Well, I'm glad you listened on the iHeartRadio.
- 53:20Speaker 17: So I don't know, like, yeah.
- 53:22Speaker 21: Is it just me or any other callers?
- 53:25Speaker 4: No, just you're the first call.
- 53:27Speaker 5: That's why I think it's your cat.
- 53:30Speaker 12: Stowaway cat.
- 53:31Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 53:33Speaker 5: Hey, when you listen to us on iHeart app, I'm
- 53:34Speaker 5: curious how you listen to it. Do you put it
- 53:35Speaker 5: through your Alexa or is it just on your phone,
- 53:37Speaker 5: on the speaker on your phone, or do you have
- 53:38Speaker 5: it through a system?
- 53:39Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 53:40Speaker 21: No, just on my phone. I just turn the volume
- 53:46Speaker 21: up as I'm getting ready.
- 53:48Speaker 10: I'm listening to you guys.
- 53:50Speaker 5: That's very cool. That's very cool. Well, we'll get down.
- 53:52Speaker 5: Let us know if it happens tomorrow at 7 a.m.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 53:55Speaker 5: And then we got to talk to engineering.
- 53:58Speaker 6: Or.
- 53:59Speaker 5: Make sure you're holding your cat at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
- 54:02Speaker 4: Maybe they're working on the transmitter there, and there's a
- 54:04Speaker 4: cat in the transmitter.
- 54:05Speaker 5: It's happened before. But anyway, the app is free. Tamara,
- 54:09Speaker 5: thanks for listening, and I'm so glad you DM'd me.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 54:13Speaker 21: Like this morning, I was like, okay, is it going
- 54:15Speaker 21: to happen? Because yesterday it happened around 7.10, but then
- 54:20Speaker 21: this morning it happened at like 6.55. So it's never
- 54:26Speaker 21: like the exact same time either, but I'll see if
- 54:30Speaker 21: the cat noises tomorrow.
- 54:33Speaker 12: Yeah, that's so weird. You've got to keep us posted.
- 54:36Speaker 5: Thanks, Tamara. That's so weird.
- 54:38Speaker 25: All right.
- 54:39Speaker 20: Love you guys.
- 54:40Speaker 5: Love you, too. Thanks for listening. Everyone else, see La Llorona.
- 54:45Speaker 5: Tamara's getting us cat meowing, and it's not us, I promise.
- 54:47Speaker 4: She's getting her holidays mixed up, isn't she?
- 54:49Speaker 5: But anyway, that's really cool. If you're listening to us,
- 54:51Speaker 5: you can listen to us on the iHeart. If you're driving,
- 54:53Speaker 5: listen to us on the radio, and you want to
- 54:54Speaker 5: listen to us later or whatever, you can download the
- 54:57Speaker 5: free iHeartRadio app. You can listen to us live. You
- 55:00Speaker 5: can also listen to the podcast later. We have John
- 55:02Speaker 5: Jenrich On Demand. We have John Jenrich Afterwards. All kinds
- 55:05Speaker 5: of cool stuff that you can listen to. Lexi, good morning.
- 55:08Speaker 5: Thanks for holding.
- 55:10Speaker 23: Good morning.
- 55:11Speaker 5: So you have a story that is the scariest thing
- 55:14Speaker 5: that's ever happened to you. Yeah.
- 55:17Speaker 11: What happened?
- 55:18Speaker 16: It was like six years ago. I was living in
- 55:23Speaker 16: the first place I've ever lived in, like alone, quote unquote, like.
- 55:27Speaker 5: Out of nowhere.
- 55:28Speaker 16: Like after moving out of my parents' house.
- 55:31Speaker 1: And the only.
- 55:33Speaker 16: Place I could get an apartment at was like this
- 55:36Speaker 16: really kind of ghetto apartment complex next to Motor City
- 55:41Speaker 16: in Colorado Springs. And it was actually after, it was
- 55:46Speaker 16: on Halloween. I went to a Halloween party, get home
- 55:49Speaker 16: late at night. It's like probably pushing 2 a.m. And
- 55:53Speaker 16: I'm the only person in the parking lot. So I thought,
- 55:57Speaker 16: Before I get out of my car, I'm even like
- 55:59Speaker 16: looking around, scanning the parking lot, making sure that I
- 56:01Speaker 16: don't see anybody. And I have my keys ready to
- 56:05Speaker 16: go inside and all that, you know, just trying to
- 56:08Speaker 16: pay attention to my surroundings. I get out of my car,
- 56:12Speaker 16: go up to the sidewalk, and I'm ready to like
- 56:15Speaker 16: walk down the pathway in between the buildings. And I
- 56:19Speaker 16: just hear this whistle. And I turn my head and
- 56:21Speaker 16: look behind me, and there's three men in hoodies, all black. like,
- 56:27Speaker 16: walking towards me very quickly. And I just book it.
- 56:31Speaker 16: And then I turn and look, and they're chasing right
- 56:34Speaker 16: after me. And I barely had enough time to get
- 56:37Speaker 16: inside and unlock the door.
- 56:39Speaker 5: And, like, close.
- 56:40Speaker 16: I had to push the door against them to get
- 56:42Speaker 16: it locked.
- 56:43Speaker 4: Oh.
- 56:44Speaker 5: Holy smokes. Mm-hmm.
- 56:47Speaker 12: Did you, like, call the cops?
- 56:49Speaker 16: Yeah, I called the police and woke my roommate up.
- 56:52Speaker 7: And it was.
- 56:54Speaker 16: Yeah, they were long gone. They didn't get caught, but
- 56:56Speaker 16: I'm so happy that that was fast enough to.
- 57:01Speaker 4: Aren't you worried at that point that now they know
- 57:03Speaker 4: where you live?
- 57:05Speaker 16: Oh, yeah. At that point, I decided that I was
- 57:08Speaker 16: going to try to get out of that apartment complex.
- 57:11Speaker 16: Somebody else had previously, like, I don't know, maybe a
- 57:14Speaker 16: month before, had been shot and killed in the parking lot.
- 57:18Speaker 16: And then everybody's cars were getting broken into. And it
- 57:22Speaker 16: was just like, not a good complex to live at,
- 57:25Speaker 16: I guess. And a lot of people were getting their
- 57:29Speaker 16: leases broke because it was just unsafe. And I tried
- 57:32Speaker 16: to do that. And they're like, well, if you want
- 57:34Speaker 16: to break your lease, you got to pay an extra
- 57:35Speaker 16: $ 1, 500 lease break fee on top of, we want you
- 57:40Speaker 16: to pay out the rest of your lease rent. And
- 57:43Speaker 16: I was like, that's insane.
- 57:44Speaker 10: What?
- 57:45Speaker 6: Because it's unsafe.
- 57:47Speaker 5: So how soon did you get out of there?
- 57:50Speaker 16: Uh, I ended up having to stay until like a
- 57:54Speaker 16: month before my lease was over. That was in May.
- 57:57Speaker 16: So like the May after.
- 57:59Speaker 5: But you never saw them again?
- 58:01Speaker 16: No, I never saw them again.
- 58:02Speaker 5: That's really scary. That is scary that you had to
- 58:05Speaker 5: push the door and hold them.
- 58:06Speaker 4: And you already had your guard up and you still
- 58:09Speaker 4: got nearly jumped.
- 58:10Speaker 5: What do you do in that case? Like, do you,
- 58:11Speaker 5: should you scream? You know what I mean? To alert
- 58:14Speaker 5: everybody else around the neighborhood and the complex. Like, but
- 58:17Speaker 5: you're probably quiet.
- 58:18Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 58:19Speaker 16: Yeah, like if I had been grabbed, yeah, I definitely
- 58:22Speaker 16: would have made a commotion. But, like, there were three
- 58:25Speaker 16: of them and one of me. Who knows? They could
- 58:28Speaker 16: have had chloroform.
- 58:29Speaker 5: No, you're right. You're right. That's why you got to
- 58:32Speaker 5: scream and draw alert to them. You know, like I
- 58:35Speaker 5: heard you're supposed to yell fire. If you yell fire,
- 58:37Speaker 5: people will come and be like, whoa, where's the fire? Anyway, Lexi,
- 58:40Speaker 5: thank you for calling. I'm glad you're safe.
- 58:43Speaker 16: Yeah, of course. Thank you.
- 58:45Speaker 5: Karina, good morning.
- 58:47Speaker 26: Hi, good morning.
- 58:48Speaker 5: Hi, what's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 58:52Speaker 26: Okay, so I don't know if it counts like as
- 58:53Speaker 26: a child. I was 15 years old. It was me
- 58:57Speaker 26: and my sister home alone. I was already sleeping and
- 59:01Speaker 26: somebody pulled my foot and I thought it was my sister.
- 59:04Speaker 26: So I'm like, hey, Kiara, stop. But I never looked up,
- 59:07Speaker 26: and I went back to sleep. And then out of nowhere,
- 59:10Speaker 26: both of my feet, like, were being shook. And then
- 59:13Speaker 26: I got up so fast, and I saw my sister
- 59:15Speaker 26: sleeping in the other room. And I'm like, oh, my God, Kiara, Kiara.
- 59:19Speaker 26: I went into, like, what happened? And I explained to her.
- 59:21Speaker 26: I'm like, both of my feet.
- 59:22Speaker 5: I'm like, was that you?
- 59:22Speaker 23: She's like, no.
- 59:24Speaker 26: And I'm like, I never, like, right now, like, I'm
- 59:26Speaker 26: even shaking thinking about it. But I never slept in
- 59:29Speaker 26: that room ever again.
- 59:31Speaker 5: It was a ghost with a foot fetish.
- 59:32Speaker 4: You do hear about that a lot. No, yeah.
- 59:36Speaker 19: That actually is so valid because my sister, she stayed
- 59:40Speaker 19: in some like random hotel. She was on a work
- 59:42Speaker 19: trip and she got in really late and her actual
- 59:44Speaker 19: hotel was booked. So she was forced to go to
- 59:46Speaker 19: this other hotel and she knew nothing about it. And
- 59:49Speaker 19: she slept in this room and woke up in the
- 59:52Speaker 19: middle of the night to some entity or a feeling
- 59:55Speaker 19: of someone like massaging her feet. And it freaked her
- 59:58Speaker 19: out so much that she literally just like woke up.
- 1:00:00Speaker 19: It was like probably four in the morning, three, four
- 1:00:02Speaker 19: in the morning. She woke up and she's like, I'm
- 1:00:03Speaker 19: just going to go get a coffee and be awake.
- 1:00:05Speaker 16: For the day.
- 1:00:05Speaker 19: Later that day, she found out the hotel she was
- 1:00:08Speaker 19: staying at was haunted and the room she was staying.
- 1:00:11Speaker 12: At was where the girl died.
- 1:00:12Speaker 19: And she was like, apparently women who stay in that
- 1:00:17Speaker 19: room get a nice foot rub, but men who stay
- 1:00:20Speaker 19: in that room, they get like an evil spirit feeling.
- 1:00:22Speaker 9: Oh, that's true.
- 1:00:23Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: One of that ghosts was like, hey, that's the sister
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: of Unfug Feet. What an opportunity.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Six degrees of separation.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: Karina, thanks for calling in.
- 1:00:35Speaker 26: Thank you.
- 1:00:36Speaker 23: Bye.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: Lisa, what's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? Lisa.
- 1:00:44Speaker 13: Hello.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: Hello.
- 1:00:46Speaker 25: So pathetically, the scariest thing that's ever happened to me
- 1:00:49Speaker 25: was actually a dream where I had a dream being
- 1:00:54Speaker 25: in my home and a zombie was rushing up to
- 1:00:58Speaker 25: my back sliding glass door that leads out to the backyard.
- 1:01:01Speaker 25: And it was my real home in the dream. And
- 1:01:05Speaker 25: I'm terrifyingly scrambling to close the latch. And pathetically now,
- 1:01:10Speaker 25: every single night when I go to close that actual
- 1:01:13Speaker 25: sliding glass door in my house, I am terrified like
- 1:01:15Speaker 25: a zombie is going to come rushing up.
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: Okay, okay. But what if that dream was a premonition?
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Because we all know it seems like we're pretty close
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: to a zombie apocalypse. That's true. You couldn't prove it
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: too wrong.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: That's pretty funny.
- 1:01:29Speaker 11: I don't know.
- 1:01:29Speaker 25: Every time I go to the grocery store or anywhere,
- 1:01:31Speaker 25: I kind of feel like we're in the zombie apocalypse.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, there's some neighborhoods actually right outside. When
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: I come to work, it looks like the zombie apocalypse.
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: Well, be safe, Lisa. Thanks for sharing it with us.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Am I wrong, Peyton?
- 1:01:44Speaker 9: No, you're not.
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: Sanam, good morning. What is the scariest thing that's ever
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: happened to you?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Hi, good morning.
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: Good morning.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: So a few years ago, maybe 2007 or 2008, I
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: was getting lunch around Northern and maybe 21st at Einstein's.
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: And I had a big purse with me. I was
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: walking towards my car. Mind you, my car was a
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: tiny Volkswagen Beetle, a green one. And I was parked
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: between two big SUVs. And I see this guy walking
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: towards me wearing a hoodie with his hands in the
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: front of his pocket. It felt to me he was
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: holding something. And as soon as he makes eye contact,
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: He just stares me down and walks after towards me.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: And I was like, oh, hell no. So I start
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: going towards my car and I pick up my speed.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: I jump in my car, close the door. As soon
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: as I close the door, I lock it. And he
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: tried to open my door and he got really mad
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: and he punched my window. So I just like, thank
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: God there was no car in front of me. I
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: just like, put my foot in the gas and ran.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: But no one was there.
- 1:03:03Speaker 19: Like, it's midday.
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: Nobody was there. And I was kind of hidden between
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: the two cars. So if he had opened my door,
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: God knows what would have happened. Like, freaking terrifying. Never
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: went back to that place again.
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: What was it in there? Did you have an everything bagel?
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: And he was like, she's got the last everything bagel.
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: No, I can get a turkey cranberry bagel.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: Oh, that's like Thanksgiving.
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: He goes in there, he goes, can I get the
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: turkey cranberry? Oh, we just sold the last one to
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: that lady.
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: No, he wanted my purse or something else.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: But you know what's interesting is like you and the
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: other girl that called in that was alone, Alexi, both
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: of you were paying attention. So you were able to
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: get out of the situation. Head on a swivel, people.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: Well, we're glad you're safe.
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: It was early 2000, so I wasn't looking at my phone.
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: Hey, what time was that? You said midday? Because I
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: was just curious. I always wonder when Einstein closes.
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: Yeah, it was lunchtime. Maybe noon or one or something.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: Oh, I didn't know they were open that late. Because,
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: you know, they always think bagels for breakfast. Sometimes I
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: drive by, like, at 6 p.m., and I'm like, I
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: could go for a bagel. They have, like, turkey sandwich.
- 1:04:03Speaker 12: They're really good for lunch, yeah.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: It's in high demand.
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: People break windows.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: Let me tell you, I grew up in war, and
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: that was scarier.
- 1:04:11Speaker 22: In war?
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 1:04:12Speaker 19: I grew up in war.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: What do you mean you grew up in war?
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: I'm Middle Eastern. I'm Iranian, and I grew up, you know,
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: for 10 years during the war. I was a kid then.
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: But when I think about it, this was way scarier
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: because it just felt like I'm really seeing death with
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: my eyes or something horrible.
- 1:04:30Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: Well, we're glad you're safe.
- 1:04:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: I'm glad. Thanks for calling in.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: Have a good day.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: Bye, Sanam. Wow, man. That's scary. I think being chased
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: by Earth. any kind of like criminal.
- 1:04:44Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: You know, like your life's in danger stuff.
- 1:04:46Speaker 12: Even when you're being chased by someone you know, it's
- 1:04:48Speaker 12: kind of scary.
- 1:04:49Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:04:49Speaker 12: Let alone someone you don't know that's probably going to
- 1:04:52Speaker 12: hurt you.
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: I just saw that there, I think it was in
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: Peoria or something and there was a home invasion and
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: a mom was in there with her one-year-old son and
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: this guy like just, runs into her house and is
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: just like demanding things at her and like pushed the
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: little kid over. And in the ring camera video, you
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: can see this woman like fighting off the guy.
- 1:05:12Speaker 9: And she's like, what are you doing? What are you doing?
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: And he's like, I'm on drugs. I'm on drugs. And
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: she's like, well, what are you doing?
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: And then she punches him in the face and then
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: the husband rolls up in the car and then they
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: all chase the guy. But what's kind of crazy about
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: it is the guy who broke into the house, he
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: got a lawyer and he's saying that the husband is
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: the one who told him to go into the house
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: because the wife likes role play.
- 1:05:34Speaker 9: And the wife like beat the crap out of this dude.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: What?
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: There's a lot of layers to this story. That's what
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: happens with that documentary of the preacher guy.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: Where he went and placed all these ads.
- 1:05:48Speaker 19: Oh, wow.
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: And he's saying that he reached out to him on
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: Reddit or whatever.
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: Hey, Katie, good morning.
- 1:05:54Speaker 20: Hi.
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: Hi, what's going on?
- 1:05:57Speaker 17: Oh, I text you guys and then Dylan called me.
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: Great. What were you texting about?
- 1:06:04Speaker 17: Okay, so I know you're a big fan of Ella.
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: I am.
- 1:06:08Speaker 17: And I like all of her songs, too. But when
- 1:06:11Speaker 17: I was listening to She's in Texas, I got it
- 1:06:15Speaker 17: stuck in my head. And she said it in the song,
- 1:06:17Speaker 17: and now I can never unhear it. So, like, in
- 1:06:20Speaker 17: the chorus, she'll say, there's nothing I can do. But
- 1:06:24Speaker 17: then in the middle of the song, she'll say, there's
- 1:06:26Speaker 17: nothing I can do-hoo.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: Now it's just like... Nothing I can do.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: You know, that song stages me all day. I sing
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: that song all day in my head.
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: Well, it's number one for 26 weeks.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: I can't wait to listen for that part.
- 1:06:47Speaker 17: Yes, and it made me think of how you did
- 1:06:50Speaker 17: the farts, how you heard it.
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: Other people's songs.
- 1:06:55Speaker 17: And I don't know, it just always made me laugh.
- 1:06:57Speaker 23: So I thought I'd tell you.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:06:58Speaker 17: So you'll get it stuck in your head now.
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: John Jay, you need to listen to Solar Eclipse on repeat,
- 1:07:04Speaker 7: the Drake and Don Toliver.
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: Oh, I've heard it.
- 1:07:06Speaker 9: They really, I listened to it probably 10 times yesterday.
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: And I was like, this is such a good song.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: Such a great song. But I love Ella Langley. I'm
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: definitely an Ella fella. And I want, I want to
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: try to make my own merch of hers because I
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: don't like concert merch. I always think it's weird. It doesn't,
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: fit me right.
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: There's a lot of words and the shirts don't fit right.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: You know, when they put all the tour dates on
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: the back. I like the tour dates on the back.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: I don't like stuff on the front. You know what
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: it is? When I see somebody with that, I feel
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: like I have to read every single day or I'm,
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: you know, like denying the artist's vision. So I got
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: to read the entire shirt. That's a lot of reading.
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: Katie, thanks for listening. I'm so glad you texted us.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: Kyle and Peyton, what do you guys got?
- 1:07:44Speaker 19: Selena Gomez has a pretty big warning for her fans.
- 1:07:47Speaker 19: She doesn't want you to make the same mistake she made.
- 1:07:49Speaker 19: I'll tell you what that is next with John Jay
- 1:07:51Speaker 19: and Rich.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: All right, Kyle Payton, let's get to what's trending in
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: the entertainment world.
- 1:07:55Speaker 19: So you probably have seen TMZ, the big headline. Jay-Z
- 1:07:59Speaker 19: reportedly picks himself for the Super Bowl halftime show.
- 1:08:03Speaker 12: Here's the thing.
- 1:08:04Speaker 19: The NFL hasn't made the official announcement yet, but there
- 1:08:07Speaker 19: are reports coming in that say, listen, Jay-Z, he's the
- 1:08:11Speaker 19: guy that picks the halftime performance.
- 1:08:13Speaker 12: And he was considering the options and was like, hold
- 1:08:15Speaker 12: on a second. Me, I'm the best option. So let's
- 1:08:19Speaker 12: do that.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: When I saw that, I was like, OK, here's a
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: few things.
- 1:08:23Speaker 15: I'm like, Jay-Z.
- 1:08:24Speaker 9: Jay-Z's cool, iconic. I would hope he would bring in
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: maybe some other artists. I'm like, maybe your wife.
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: But if he brings Beyonce, then I feel like it
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: would only be right if she performed Ego. Because what
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: do you mean you're picking yourself for the Super Bowl
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: halftime show?
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: Let's just kind of look at it from a different
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: point of view. What if he couldn't, for whatever reason,
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: Bieber and Miley, the two artists that he wanted, they couldn't?
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: schedules didn't work out for whatever reason, right? But if
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: you're him and you're like, okay, I'm going to go
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: because I've seen him before. He just stands there and performs, right?
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: He brings out Alicia Keys. He brings out Linkin Park.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: He brings out Kanye. He brings out Beyonce.
- 1:08:59Speaker 12: If he doesn't, out Kanye, that would be like headlines.
- 1:09:02Speaker 23: I know.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: If that happened.
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Yeah, he would have to bring in.
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: That's what I was saying. I feel like he would
- 1:09:06Speaker 9: have to bring in everyone else around him.
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: His library is humongous. He sold out Yankee Stadium like
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: three nights or.
- 1:09:12Speaker 19: I don't think anyone is going to argue that he
- 1:09:15Speaker 19: can't sustain a halftime show with his library.
- 1:09:17Speaker 12: It's just kind of funny that it's like... You're the
- 1:09:20Speaker 12: guy picking. And of all the artists in the world,
- 1:09:22Speaker 12: like you're like, actually me.
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: Yes.
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: Here's where it gets funny is when he does it
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: again next year. I'm doing it again, you guys.
- 1:09:30Speaker 19: But like I said, I mean, NFL hasn't made the
- 1:09:32Speaker 19: official announcements, but I think the reports are already kind
- 1:09:35Speaker 19: of like leaking and starting to come out.
- 1:09:37Speaker 9: Okay, we can officially call her mommy.
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: Alex Cooper has finally had birth to her sweet little
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: baby boy, and congratulations in order for her and her husband,
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: Matt Kaplan. She posted on Instagram, it's just like a
- 1:09:48Speaker 7: little sneak peek, and they put like a blue little heart,
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: so congratulations to them.
- 1:09:53Speaker 9: I know a lot of people were kind of waiting
- 1:09:54Speaker 9: on when that was going to happen.
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: Selena Gomez, she kind of really opened up about some
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: things on her Instagram about her battle with nicotine addiction.
- 1:10:03Speaker 8: I'm not going to be able to change my voice.
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: I vape nicotine a lot nicotine is so hard to
- 1:10:10Speaker 8: quit and I think I just wanted to say.
- 1:10:13Speaker 9: If you're going through it or if you're.
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: Even trying to vape it's just not worth it it's
- 1:10:18Speaker 8: so stupid and it's changed my voice so if you
- 1:10:22Speaker 8: guys don't like listening to my voice that's totally understandable
- 1:10:26Speaker 8: I don't mind just don't listen just don't listen I.
- 1:10:30Speaker 19: Like how she was also like but I'm so glad
- 1:10:32Speaker 19: like she's quit And she said it's been really hard,
- 1:10:35Speaker 19: but she's still trying. And like, if you're thinking about
- 1:10:38Speaker 19: just don't.
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:10:39Speaker 12: But I kind of feel like her voice has been
- 1:10:42Speaker 12: like that for a.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Really long time. She must have been hitting.
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: The nickname for a long time.
- 1:10:46Speaker 19: Who knows?
- 1:10:47Speaker 24: Okay.
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: So we talked about it yesterday, but the Victoria's secret
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: fashion show was over the weekend and Kylie Jenner, she
- 1:10:52Speaker 7: wore the $ 50 million fantasy bra and she is getting
- 1:10:56Speaker 7: some insane backlash online. And I'm like, I get it,
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: but then again, I don't. A lot of people are
- 1:11:02Speaker 7: coming for her saying that she's not an actual model,
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: that her sister Kendall is probably so upset.
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: And I'm like, okay, I feel like.
- 1:11:08Speaker 12: Kendall's been in the show before.
- 1:11:09Speaker 9: Right, and I'm like, also, I.
- 1:11:10Speaker 7: Bet you she was so excited for her sister, but where.
- 1:11:13Speaker 9: They're getting a lot of backlash.
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: What she's supposed to do, say no?
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: Is that she's not, like, she's not, like, a legit
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: runway model where there has been, like, I think, like, can't, like,
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: I think it was, like, Adrenalina took her, like, seven
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: years before she got to wear the fantasy bra.
- 1:11:25Speaker 9: So everyone is like.
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: This is her first fashion show for her to walk
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: for Victoria's Secret and she gets to wear the fantasy bra.
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: The fantasy bra is like being at the.
- 1:11:34Speaker 19: Haters.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: I disagree with that.
- 1:11:35Speaker 25: Haters.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: I think in her business, what she does for a
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: living as well as being a reality TV star and
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: owning the cosmetics... She falls under the umbrella of fashion.
- 1:11:47Speaker 9: Well, that's what Victoria Super said.
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: They said she is the whole package. And I am
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: a Kylie Jenner stan. So I disagree with all the
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: hate online.
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: But that's just what people are saying.
- 1:11:55Speaker 19: I feel like no matter what the Kardashian slash Jenners do,
- 1:11:58Speaker 19: they're going to get hate. Like, it's just like, like,
- 1:12:01Speaker 19: why not just like celebrate?
- 1:12:02Speaker 5: Like, wow, what a.
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: Cool experience for you.
- 1:12:05Speaker 19: I literally just saw a throwback clip of Kylie Jenner
- 1:12:07Speaker 19: when I think she was like 10 or 11 years old.
- 1:12:10Speaker 19: It was right when Kendall wanted to become a model.
- 1:12:12Speaker 23: Yes.
- 1:12:13Speaker 12: And she was like, ooh, Kendall's so special. She's the
- 1:12:16Speaker 12: best one in the family because she's a model. And, like,
- 1:12:18Speaker 12: here she is at this moment.
- 1:12:20Speaker 19: And, like, Kim was talking to her about how she
- 1:12:22Speaker 19: got to do a fashion show. And Khloe always wanted
- 1:12:24Speaker 19: to be a model. But when Khloe was in the
- 1:12:26Speaker 19: front row celebrating her sister, that's what family does.
- 1:12:29Speaker 12: And it's like, I'm sure Kendall did the same thing.
- 1:12:31Speaker 19: She was just excited for her sister.
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: Like, Kylie was the insecure little sister.
- 1:12:35Speaker 9: Let her have her moment.
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 1:12:37Speaker 22: Exactly.
- 1:12:37Speaker 12: Exactly.
- 1:12:38Speaker 19: Kylie's BFF, Jordan Woods, she actually is taking her fashion
- 1:12:42Speaker 19: brand to the next level.
- 1:12:44Speaker 9: I've been working on something and it's finally time. New York,
- 1:12:49Speaker 9: we're officially coming to you. Our very first Woods by
- 1:12:52Speaker 9: Jordan pop-up powered by Shopify.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: Pretty cool.
- 1:12:57Speaker 12: A little pop-up shop, Jordan Woods. You remember that?
- 1:12:59Speaker 19: She, like, caused all kinds of headlines with the orange
- 1:13:02Speaker 19: purse she wore to the Knicks games. Yeah, and that's been, like,
- 1:13:05Speaker 19: become one of the staples of her fashion brand.
- 1:13:06Speaker 12: So good for her. This is pretty crazy.
- 1:13:08Speaker 19: So Michael Douglas, he played Hank Pym in, like, four
- 1:13:12Speaker 19: different Marvel projects. But the truth is, is he confirmed
- 1:13:15Speaker 19: a rumor that he maybe didn't want to do four
- 1:13:18Speaker 19: of them.
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: Is it true that you asked to be killed off
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: in the last Ant-Man film?
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: I would have been killed off after the second one.
- 1:13:25Speaker 5: But he wouldn't let me.
- 1:13:28Speaker 19: They liked your character you have to go and you
- 1:13:30Speaker 19: made a lot of money i think you're all happy
- 1:13:32Speaker 19: i thought this was so emotional miley cyrus she opened
- 1:13:35Speaker 19: up about a moment where she felt dolly parton's ghost
- 1:13:39Speaker 19: or presence because she asked for a physical sign that
- 1:13:42Speaker 19: dolly was with her and she got it when i
- 1:13:44Speaker 19: was by.
- 1:13:45Speaker 22: Myself i actually took my phone and i played jolene
- 1:13:48Speaker 22: for her on video just holding up to the mannequin
- 1:13:51Speaker 22: and lit a candle and And I put a flower
- 1:13:55Speaker 22: down for her, and I said, Dolly, if you're here
- 1:13:58Speaker 22: right now, flicker the lights. And I didn't say anything
- 1:14:01Speaker 22: out loud, but the entire hallway started flickering.
- 1:14:06Speaker 12: Isn't that cool? Like, ooh, I got goosebumps when I
- 1:14:08Speaker 12: heard that. I'm like, oh, what a special sign.
- 1:14:10Speaker 9: Kylie?
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:11Speaker 14: Why?
- 1:14:11Speaker 5: Because she, her shows. Go ahead, if you want to
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: tell the story.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: No, go ahead. Go ahead. I was feeling bad for her.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: She was at Hollywood Bowl. You were just playing that clip.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: And when she was singing her song, she put the
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: microphone out and lets the audience sing, which sucks if
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: you're in the audience.
- 1:14:28Speaker 12: Right, because everyone came to hear you sing.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: So she's getting lots of people upset at her. Doja
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: Cat and Lotto are coming to Mortgage Matchup Center next week.
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: We got your free tickets. You got to win Beach Shazam.
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: 877-937-1047.
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: We'll do it after Ariana Grande.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: All right, we're.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: Going to play Beach Shazam. We got tickets at Doja Cat.
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: Good morning, Sydney. How are you?
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: I'm doing good.
- 1:15:00Speaker 26: How are you guys doing?
- 1:15:01Speaker 14: Good.
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: You're going to play a game with us for some
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: Doja tickets. Nick, we're playing Beachazam? We are playing Beachazam.
- 1:15:08Speaker 24: In fact, guys, I need to congratulate each and every
- 1:15:11Speaker 24: one of you already because you each already have two points.
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: All right!
- 1:15:15Speaker 24: Because we're playing Doja Cat music, so you just have
- 1:15:18Speaker 24: to tell me what the song is. I'm going to
- 1:15:19Speaker 24: give you seven seconds to hear the song and then
- 1:15:22Speaker 24: three seconds to answer.
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: Are we ready?
- 1:15:24Speaker 9: Let's do it.
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: John Jay, it's your turn. Oh, God. Kiss Me. Is
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: it called Kiss Me? Is it? Say so. Say so.
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: Hold on. Say so.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: Is it?
- 1:15:35Speaker 5: Yes. Doja Cat say so. What are you looking for?
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: Kiss Me?
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: More.
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: Featuring SZA.
- 1:15:41Speaker 10: More.
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: Yeah, SZA. Did you see SZA showed up at the
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: van store in Glendale?
- 1:15:46Speaker 18: No.
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: Yeah, placed with nuts.
- 1:15:48Speaker 12: How did you miss that, Pepe?
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: Well, let me tell you how she missed it. Because
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: I saw it, and I went nuts over it, and
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: I realized it was Glendale and L.A. I was like,
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: there shouldn't be. Why are there two Glendales? Which one
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: was first? They're too close together. Why would you have called?
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: Yeah, Glendale, we're bordering states.
- 1:16:05Speaker 9: You just made me feel so much better.
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: Yeah, because I know her new, like, Vans drop is about.
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: To come out.
- 1:16:10Speaker 24: Apparently it came out in Glendale, so... Anyway, good try,
- 1:16:14Speaker 24: John Jay. That was a close guess. We'll move on
- 1:16:17Speaker 24: now to Rich.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: Does that say so? It does say so.
- 1:16:29Speaker 5: You guys, we were looking for what?
- 1:16:31Speaker 9: Need to Know.
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: Need to Know is the name of that song.
- 1:16:34Speaker 9: You guys need to work on your Doja Cat songs.
- 1:16:36Speaker 24: Okay, we're 0 for 2 thus far, so great try
- 1:16:39Speaker 24: for both John Jay and Rich.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: Peyton.
- 1:16:42Speaker 22: Agora Hills?
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: That's wrong.
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: Agora Hills is correct.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Oh, yay.
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: All right. Way to go, Peyton.
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: That was hard.
- 1:16:58Speaker 24: Taking commanding one point lead in this game. Kyle, there's
- 1:17:02Speaker 24: also a feature in this song, so if you can
- 1:17:03Speaker 24: get both, you're going to get bonus points.
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: Here we go.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: Okay, that's Doja Cat.
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: Best Friend with Megan Thee Stallion.
- 1:17:09Speaker 11: Megan Thee Stallion is incorrect, in fact.
- 1:17:11Speaker 10: That's right.
- 1:17:11Speaker 9: But good job, Kyle.
- 1:17:12Speaker 12: You tie up Peyton in round one.
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: Sydney, let's go.
- 1:17:14Speaker 19: I want to be a friend, go shopping in the bins.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: I like you.
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: Yeah, let's go.
- 1:17:40Speaker 24: Sydney takes the lead now as we round and round
- 1:17:44Speaker 24: to John Jay.
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: Paint the town red.
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: Yeah, let's go.
- 1:17:51Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: John Jay.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: That's right, redemption.
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: You guys, he's flexing on you.
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: I was the fastest responder. It's true.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: You were.
- 1:18:01Speaker 12: You're so good, John Jay.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: Good job, John Jay.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Rich?
- 1:18:06Speaker 14: Say so.
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: No, I should hear it first.
- 1:18:09Speaker 15: Get it to ya.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Yep. From Doja Cat.
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: Get into it. Parentheses, yeah.
- 1:18:23Speaker 24: Good job, Rich.
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: One point.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: Peyton. Amen.
- 1:18:32Speaker 9: Amen is correct.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: For a bonus point, can you name the TV show
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: that's from?
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: No.
- 1:18:37Speaker 20: Okay.
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: I've given her this clue before.
- 1:18:40Speaker 18: Oh, no.
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: Is it like The.
- 1:18:41Speaker 9: Matrix or something like that? The Matrix, yeah.
- 1:18:43Speaker 12: Like Knight Rider or something.
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: Yeah, Knight Rider is correct. Good job, Kyle.
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: Good job, Kyle.
- 1:18:48Speaker 24: Kyle gets herself a point in this round, too. And
- 1:18:52Speaker 24: it is, in fact, her turn.
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: That is, in fact, saying so. Way to go. All right, Kyle.
- 1:19:02Speaker 24: She's got three points total. Sydney, I will give you
- 1:19:06Speaker 24: four points if you can get this one.
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: It's woman.
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: Woman.
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: It is woman.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:19:15Speaker 24: Sydney's going to go.
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: All right, Sydney. You're going to go see Doja Cat. Congratulations.
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: Yes.
- 1:19:26Speaker 24: Thank you guys so much.
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: You got it. Thanks for listening. Please hold.

- 1:19:37Speaker 12: I'll tell you what you need to know after Bruno Mars.
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: Bless you. Thank you.

- 1:20:04Speaker 5: your phone right now. It's also on our podcast. If
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: you go to podcast, John J. Rich on demand, you
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: can listen to it. Kyle, what do we need to
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: know today?
- 1:20:09Speaker 19: If you use your phone to pay for practically everything,
- 1:20:13Speaker 19: Apple Pay could be getting some serious competition. So regulators
- 1:20:16Speaker 19: in the UK want Apple to make it easier for
- 1:20:19Speaker 19: other payment apps like PayPal and Klarna. to offer that
- 1:20:22Speaker 19: same tap-to-pay feature that's not available right now. And if
- 1:20:26Speaker 19: it does go through, like I said, it's just in
- 1:20:28Speaker 19: the UK right now, but that may mean more options
- 1:20:31Speaker 19: for the rest of us very soon. In the meantime,
- 1:20:33Speaker 19: word has it that Apple will be announcing a Touch
- 1:20:38Speaker 19: MacBook Pro, like a touchscreen MacBook Pro.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: About time.
- 1:20:41Speaker 19: They announced a new product thing October 28th, and that's
- 1:20:43Speaker 19: one of the things that's going to be That's rumored
- 1:20:45Speaker 19: to be coming out.
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: That'll be cool because it could be like an iPad
- 1:20:49Speaker 7: and a computer all in one.
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not like they haven't invented that with an iPad.
- 1:20:53Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: You can do it with another.
- 1:20:54Speaker 7: They have like the little magnetic cases that you can
- 1:20:57Speaker 7: type away with.
- 1:20:57Speaker 12: Time to put it together.
- 1:20:58Speaker 9: That makes sense.
- 1:20:59Speaker 19: The Tampa Bay Rays beat Cleveland 7-3 last night to
- 1:21:02Speaker 19: punch their ticket to the World Series where they will
- 1:21:04Speaker 19: face the Milwaukee Brewers.
- 1:21:06Speaker 12: Here's what makes this so cool.
- 1:21:07Speaker 19: Neither team has ever won a World Series. So somebody
- 1:21:11Speaker 19: is about to make franchise history when the series begins.
- 1:21:13Speaker 12: On Friday in Milwaukee.
- 1:21:14Speaker 5: What if it's a draw?
- 1:21:15Speaker 12: Then they both win, I guess.
- 1:21:17Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:21:18Speaker 19: Costco wants to take care of your Thanksgiving dinner without
- 1:21:20Speaker 19: having to spend the entire day in the kitchen. They've
- 1:21:23Speaker 19: got a $ 200.
- 1:21:24Speaker 12: Meal that feeds eight people.
- 1:21:26Speaker 19: So you get turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese,
- 1:21:29Speaker 19: green bean casserole, rolls, and two desserts. Most of it
- 1:21:33Speaker 19: just needs to be heated up so it's already cooked.
- 1:21:35Speaker 19: Here's a comparison though. If you're willing to do the
- 1:21:37Speaker 19: cooking on your own, you could save yourself a lot
- 1:21:39Speaker 19: of money because I told you a week ago, Aldi
- 1:21:41Speaker 19: is selling the ingredients for Thanksgiving dinner for 10 for
- 1:21:45Speaker 19: less than 39 bucks. So the extra money is basically
- 1:21:48Speaker 19: paying for Costco to cook everything and.
- 1:21:50Speaker 12: Do most of the work.
- 1:21:51Speaker 19: Now, imagine driving through Phoenix on a Saturday night going
- 1:21:54Speaker 19: the speed limit and suddenly a speed camera flashes at you. Well,
- 1:21:58Speaker 19: apparently that happened to a bunch of drivers because six
- 1:22:01Speaker 19: of the school zone cameras were malfunctioning and acting like
- 1:22:04Speaker 19: school was in session when it wasn't.
- 1:22:06Speaker 12: So all these people were getting speeding tickets that weren't
- 1:22:09Speaker 12: actually speeding.
- 1:22:10Speaker 19: The good news is the city says any tickets from
- 1:22:12Speaker 19: the mistake were rejected.
- 1:22:13Speaker 12: So you shouldn't be getting fined for something you didn't do.
- 1:22:17Speaker 12: So just sigh of relief on that one.
- 1:22:19Speaker 19: If you bought a Powerball ticket for Monday's drawing, check it.
- 1:22:23Speaker 19: Because there are multiple tickets out there in Arizona worth
- 1:22:27Speaker 19: as much as $ 250, 000.
- 1:22:28Speaker 12: Monday, like yesterday?
- 1:22:31Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:22:31Speaker 12: Check those tickets.
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: I bought some last week.
- 1:22:33Speaker 15: Check it.
- 1:22:34Speaker 12: Check the tickets.
- 1:22:35Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 1:22:35Speaker 12: Still check your tickets if you bought them last week, too,
- 1:22:37Speaker 12: because you never know. I mean, you're going to be
- 1:22:39Speaker 12: missing out on some cash.
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: I'm really good at buying them, and then I'm too
- 1:22:41Speaker 5: lazy to go back.
- 1:22:43Speaker 19: A lot of people don't check their tickets, and you
- 1:22:44Speaker 19: could be leaving money on the table. But there is
- 1:22:47Speaker 19: a lot of drama surrounding that $ 12. 8 million ticket that
- 1:22:52Speaker 19: was sold at a Scottsdale Circle K.
- 1:22:53Speaker 12: You remember this story?
- 1:22:54Speaker 19: Customer went in, wanted $ 85 worth of QuickPix, and only
- 1:22:58Speaker 19: had $ 60. So she had to leave a bunch of
- 1:23:00Speaker 19: the tickets behind, right?
- 1:23:02Speaker 12: Well, the drawing happened.
- 1:23:04Speaker 19: And the manager at that Circle K realized one of
- 1:23:07Speaker 19: those tickets won almost $ 13.
- 1:23:09Speaker 12: Million, clocked out, put on regular clothes, bought that ticket for.
- 1:23:13Speaker 19: $ 10, and now says the money's his. But Circle K says,
- 1:23:17Speaker 19: according to store policy, any tickets left behind now belong
- 1:23:21Speaker 19: to the company. So now Circle K and this manager
- 1:23:24Speaker 19: and another employee are going to court over whose money
- 1:23:27Speaker 19: is it.
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess you'd have to if you're up for
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: $ 12 billion. You've got to go to court.
- 1:23:31Speaker 9: Because what, the guy is like finders keepers? That's his mentality?
- 1:23:34Speaker 19: Well, the manager says that it was like an unwritten
- 1:23:37Speaker 19: store policy that tickets that are left behind could be
- 1:23:41Speaker 19: bought by employees if they clock out and have regular
- 1:23:43Speaker 19: street clothes on as if they're coming in Circle K.
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: I think it has to do with whatever the, in
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: my opinion, if I was the judge, I'd be like, well,
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: what is the lottery policy? Your store policy can be
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: whatever it is.
- 1:23:52Speaker 19: And that's maybe what it comes down to. But yeah,
- 1:23:55Speaker 19: it's the drama's heating up and it's like they couldn't
- 1:23:57Speaker 19: figure it out. So now it's going to court. And
- 1:23:59Speaker 19: that's what you need to know.
- 1:24:00Speaker 5: So I was telling you guys about the costume that
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: I created and invented this morning, the Ella Fangley.
- 1:24:06Speaker 12: It's very genius.
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: Thank you. In a new survey, get this. It says,
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: what's stressing you out right now? Deadlines, looking for a job, money, dating,
- 1:24:14Speaker 5: your parents, your kids, travel, or picking out a Halloween
- 1:24:17Speaker 5: costume right now. women are more stressed out over picking
- 1:24:22Speaker 5: out a costume than men, than right now, than anything
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: else is going on.
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: Makes sense to me. Because you've got to look cool,
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: but you've got to be comfortable. It's got to be different.
- 1:24:29Speaker 5: Well, it's funny. It goes, for people who have decided,
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: here are the looks they're going for. 49% of people
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: say their costume is simple. That was my Ella Fangley thing,
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: my pitch to you, which is simple. I think that's
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: a big part of it because you're going to be
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: in that for several hours. Simple, comfortable, I'd say, if
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: you're going to do it that way. The rest of
- 1:24:46Speaker 5: them go, it's creative, it's funny, unique, relevant, scary, sexy.
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: And 3% of people say their costume is extravagant. Ooh. Extravagant.
- 1:24:57Speaker 9: I know there's people that work like that. months and
- 1:24:59Speaker 9: months in advance for their big costumes.
- 1:25:02Speaker 19: Yeah, and those are the type of costumes that I
- 1:25:03Speaker 19: feel like they win at like Wicked Bomber when you've
- 1:25:06Speaker 19: got like $ 15, 000 in prizes they're giving away.
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: 52% of people are going as a fictional person or character. 14%
- 1:25:11Speaker 5: are going as a concept. 13% are going as an
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: animal or creature. 10% will be a living person. Another 10%
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: are going as a person from history. And another 10%
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: are going as an object.
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: I'm going as an adverb. I haven't decided which one yet. Largely, locally.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: Maybe those aren't even adverbs.
