- 0:30Speaker 1: Day.
- 0:31Speaker 3: And I got to say, Maggie, you've been talking the
- 0:34Speaker 3: last couple of days about your perpetual hangover.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:37Speaker 3: God, you're looking good today, though, mate, it feels like
- 0:40Speaker 3: I could be wrong. Yes, it feels like you've overcome
- 0:43Speaker 3: the hump there and you're on the downward slide towards
- 0:46Speaker 3: the weekend.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Well, I think the issue that I was having on
- 0:49Speaker 4: the previous days was in order to get over my hangover.
- 0:53Speaker 4: I was having here of the dog, yes, sort of
- 0:55Speaker 4: during the day and into the evening there. But now
- 0:58Speaker 4: what I've done is I just started drinking today at
- 1:01Speaker 4: about lunchtime, So I'm brand new, real good.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Are you sure you should have just like stop drinking
- 1:09Speaker 1: and have water and food and stuff and rest. Come on, keezy,
- 1:14Speaker 1: come on, what's that about?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll tell you what kesy Well, actually looking at
- 1:20Speaker 3: you right now, mate, that you're wearing your caterpillar top
- 1:24Speaker 3: and I think, to be honest, that's my favorite one.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Really fits you well, uh because it's kind of chemo too,
- 1:33Speaker 3: beautifully ironed as always, and your bangs are looking buffy
- 1:37Speaker 3: and I'm liking it.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Hey, thanks, Jace, You're welcome.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Do you know what Jase is wearing, Uh, his weird hoodie? Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 1: the original weird hoodie is officially back and it looks excellent.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Thanks. Man, I'm going to tell you about the weird hoodie.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I think it's a female hoodie. I'll start.
- 1:55Speaker 4: I don't think you can think you can.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Does the sex. I'm just saying, just in case. What
- 2:04Speaker 1: makes it a female hoodie?
- 2:06Speaker 3: Well, because it zips up from the left hand side.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Usually my I put the thing on my right hand,
- 2:14Speaker 3: but this side.
- 2:15Speaker 4: On the other side. Yeah, you are, you're wearing a
- 2:17Speaker 4: Yeah it's not a female, but it's you are wearing
- 2:19Speaker 4: a woman. You are wearing woman's clothes. But that's pretty
- 2:22Speaker 4: standy for you.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not unusual.
- 2:24Speaker 1: There's also dan draft on the shoulders.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I don't have dandraft'ulders now.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Listen.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And the reason that I'm wearing this particular weird hoodie
- 2:34Speaker 3: today it was my golf hoodie. The hoodie I was
- 2:37Speaker 3: wearing for my first golf match was too bagging, gone
- 2:39Speaker 3: on the way and this this one fits me, tir.
- 2:41Speaker 3: That's the one fits me tight and really shows off
- 2:44Speaker 3: my busies.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and because you're always going off the ladies tea
- 2:47Speaker 4: as well, I.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Do go off the ladies.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Just about to say that, But just on that.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Front, We've got some news which we'll get into in
- 2:55Speaker 3: the first break because I had of the day to.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Cheer you up though, Jason. We're going to massive show
- 3:00Speaker 1: a head, including after five point thirty Scotty from Elemento
- 3:03Speaker 1: p cool.
- 3:05Speaker 3: That's right, I forgot about that. It's a bit of
- 3:07Speaker 3: she hard to kick us off.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Ah, yeah, the whole Achy Big Shows with Jason Hoyt,
- 3:13Speaker 2: Mike Minogue and Keezy.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Who find is there on the radio Hodarkey Big Show
- 3:18Speaker 3: this Wednesday afternoon hump Day fellas hump Day?
- 3:23Speaker 4: Is it?
- 3:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:24Speaker 4: What do they call it?
- 3:25Speaker 5: That?
- 3:26Speaker 3: I just think because you know, it's the middle of
- 3:27Speaker 3: the week and people are sort of going.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Oh I was at the middle of the working week.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Comes yeah, just sort of got to get on there
- 3:35Speaker 3: and be cruising towards the sort of weekend.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Tell you what, I had.
- 3:39Speaker 1: A hoo of the morning this morning, hump morning.
- 3:42Speaker 3: It was a bit of a hump More it turned
- 3:43Speaker 3: out to be a hump morning. It was going to
- 3:45Speaker 3: be a great morning because I was meeting Kezy to
- 3:47Speaker 3: play golf and I got up today, Megan, I even
- 3:51Speaker 3: did something I never do. I ate breakfast?
- 3:53Speaker 4: What was on the menu?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Musically funny? I got up and made porridge with studie
- 4:00Speaker 1: for extra energy. You don't like porridge?
- 4:03Speaker 3: No, I don't got a problem with that.
- 4:05Speaker 1: What did you have?
- 4:07Speaker 3: News with a bit of yoga on top? You don't
- 4:12Speaker 3: like yo And and some blackberries not blackberries? What do
- 4:16Speaker 3: they call the little black you know, the little the
- 4:19Speaker 3: little fruits? Oh god, it's just got blueberries. Think frozen blueberries.
- 4:24Speaker 1: If you know what the key is is to think
- 4:25Speaker 1: what color are they?
- 4:27Speaker 4: That helps why they look black?
- 4:32Speaker 3: Now? Support next and even because I was playing golf
- 4:39Speaker 3: and with Kezy this morning, and I did some stretching,
- 4:42Speaker 3: Mogi stretch. Oh just my glutes, the truth my picks,
- 4:48Speaker 3: you know, as far as I could. I mean, when
- 4:50Speaker 3: I stretch.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Dropped.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I had a couple of darries. Of course. Anyway,
- 4:57Speaker 3: so I drive out there. I'm driving out there in
- 5:00Speaker 3: about five minutes before I arrive at the golf course,
- 5:03Speaker 3: Kezy wrings me and I see on my phone Keezy,
- 5:07Speaker 3: and now I've got to admit to something here. I
- 5:10Speaker 3: still don't have a microphone for my car, so I
- 5:13Speaker 3: can hear incoming calls, but I can't respond to them.
- 5:17Speaker 3: So Keysy go, I hear Kesey go, Jay Jay Jay Jason.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I was like, ah, I can't. I can't respond to
- 5:27Speaker 3: him because I've got no mits. I just shut him down.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Well, now that I know, I would just say the information.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yes, he called three or four times. As I say,
- 5:34Speaker 3: I was like five minutes away. I arrived at the
- 5:37Speaker 3: golf course. She shut down, closed, no go cauring the greens,
- 5:43Speaker 3: caring the greens.
- 5:44Speaker 5: I did?
- 5:45Speaker 4: It started to spring, Yeah, and I was so pumped.
- 5:48Speaker 3: And ready to go. So that was massively disappointed. I
- 5:50Speaker 3: was like, and my wife had gone on.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Did you know Kezy?
- 5:53Speaker 1: No, I didn't know until I got there.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah, did you tell Jason?
- 5:57Speaker 1: I tried to call him seven to seven or eight times.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it just didn't happen. So I was like, my
- 6:02Speaker 3: wife meanwhile had gone off to have that, which was
- 6:05Speaker 3: my daughter. And then I said, oh, what am I
- 6:07Speaker 3: going to do now? I said, I know what. I'll
- 6:09Speaker 3: actually go to the fishing tackle shop because there's some
- 6:11Speaker 3: stuff I need from a fishing rod and I'm going
- 6:13Speaker 3: to get some more sinkers and stuff and you and
- 6:16Speaker 3: a new reel. I did buy a new reel later
- 6:19Speaker 3: on in the day, but let me tell you, I
- 6:21Speaker 3: drove to the fishing tackle shop closed and I was like,
- 6:27Speaker 3: you are in kidding me.
- 6:30Speaker 1: That was pretty good um for you.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So, and that was quite a way away from the
- 6:34Speaker 3: golf course, so I went out of my way to
- 6:37Speaker 3: go there. And then I went, okay, well, I know
- 6:39Speaker 3: what I'll do now when I do something practical this morning,
- 6:42Speaker 3: and my wife had found this flooring place which was
- 6:45Speaker 3: quite close to us. I was, I can't remember what
- 6:48Speaker 3: it was called cheap and duck proof flaoring, and she said, well,
- 6:53Speaker 3: if you've got time after your golf you can go
- 6:56Speaker 3: in there and check it out. And I said, yeah, okay,
- 6:57Speaker 3: so I'll go and do that. Yeah, yeah, So I
- 6:59Speaker 3: google map it's not too far from it. A little
- 7:02Speaker 3: bit out of my way, but I'll go there closed.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Ra, What did you say when it was closed?
- 7:06Speaker 4: I just went, you are far out joking.
- 7:10Speaker 3: So I'd had enough by that and just went home
- 7:13Speaker 3: and did a steamer.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Right, what what? What time of what time of day?
- 7:18Speaker 4: Was this by the way, about ten thirty am? Yeah, why, oh,
- 7:26Speaker 4: no question. I thought it would have been about three am.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Actually it was pretty dark the whole Key Big show
- 7:35Speaker 2: with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kisy.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yes, indeed the temperature app their chin fellas love that
- 7:42Speaker 3: chun's all right, I find a catchy.
- 7:43Speaker 4: It is a good chun. The whole that first album
- 7:45Speaker 4: is very good. Yes, it is very good. It is
- 7:47Speaker 4: very good.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Hey, I think it's some from one and a half Nogies.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Benn One the yeah, man, what's one and a half mogis?
- 8:06Speaker 4: It's just where I talk about my daughter? Really, are
- 8:08Speaker 4: you and your daughter? My daughter is a mogi as well.
- 8:12Speaker 1: She's like a smaller mogi.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Yeah, she's like half the size of She's a little mogi.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Little yeah. Yeah, yeah, big day for our Faro today
- 8:23Speaker 4: feels there, it was there first. She's five years old.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I should point that out. We had our first teacher
- 8:32Speaker 4: parent interview, Oh yeah, or parent teacher teacher, Yeah yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I don't know why they put it around that way actually,
- 8:39Speaker 4: and I had a lot of chats with it. But
- 8:40Speaker 4: we'll get into more of the other stuff later on.
- 8:42Speaker 4: But I had a victory straight off the bat where
- 8:45Speaker 4: I got an email from the teacher this morning and
- 8:48Speaker 4: it said just come straight up to the classroom when
- 8:51Speaker 4: you get here. And I was like, shit, completely forgotten
- 8:55Speaker 4: about this, completely forgotten about this, and not only that,
- 9:00Speaker 4: my wife feels meant to be going as well, she's
- 9:02Speaker 4: gone to work. Right, So I managed to get down
- 9:05Speaker 4: there and sort of save the reputation of the family,
- 9:08Speaker 4: which was good.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So did you give her heads up or did you
- 9:11Speaker 1: go do it first? Go do the you know, the
- 9:14Speaker 1: parent teacher interview, and then you'll tell her about it
- 9:16Speaker 1: later tonight.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Oh look, no, she she knows about it. I've made
- 9:20Speaker 4: it quite clear how disappointed I am. And right, so
- 9:24Speaker 4: I went down there, and you'll be able to hold
- 9:26Speaker 4: that over her for the rest of your life, which
- 9:28Speaker 4: is just great. It never gets old, man. And So
- 9:32Speaker 4: went down there and the teacher there. What they do
- 9:35Speaker 4: is they assess her on reading numerously, yes, and what
- 9:40Speaker 4: she's like as a person, you know, what type of
- 9:42Speaker 4: human she is, whether she's nice to people, empathetic. I'm
- 9:46Speaker 4: not really interested in that stuff, So I just said, look,
- 9:49Speaker 4: let's just step on to how you know, how she's
- 9:51Speaker 4: going with the with the class work, first in the
- 9:55Speaker 4: class and reading. Wow, holy cow, her reading is so
- 10:00Speaker 4: good that the teacher actually asks her to help her
- 10:04Speaker 4: with pronunciation of words. Sure, so you can't pronounce the
- 10:07Speaker 4: teacher doesn't know what's going on, and as Mike Mogi
- 10:12Speaker 4: mogi to wow. Yeah, so she's often now she just
- 10:16Speaker 4: hasn't She gets fed up and she tells the teacher
- 10:19Speaker 4: to sit on the map on the mat and she'll read.
- 10:24Speaker 4: She'll read the book out, Yes, isn't the map on
- 10:26Speaker 4: the wall? Well, sometimes she does. She throws her up
- 10:29Speaker 4: against the map. Yeah right, yeah. Then of course there's
- 10:33Speaker 4: a numerous scene and they sort of generally what they'll
- 10:36Speaker 4: do is they want to know whether she can count
- 10:38Speaker 4: to one to ten and recognize the numbers one to
- 10:41Speaker 4: ten on a piece of paper, whether she can count
- 10:43Speaker 4: to twenty and recognize the numbers eleven through twenty on
- 10:47Speaker 4: a piece of paper. They ran out of paper. They're
- 10:51Speaker 4: writing down so many numbers that they actually ran out
- 10:54Speaker 4: of paper in the whole school.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Right, it's crazy, like a box of a four paper.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Especially if you're just writing columns. You know, maybe you
- 11:02Speaker 3: could fit a lot of one.
- 11:04Speaker 4: What don't you do it on a computer? You'd save
- 11:06Speaker 4: all that, It makes sense. But anyway, they've asked her
- 11:09Speaker 4: to be the principal. Wow, she's five, right.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, principal Mogi. Congratulations, that's crazy.
- 11:21Speaker 4: It seems bad. That seems quick. Yeah, I mean they
- 11:25Speaker 4: were saying it's a record. Yeah, but I don't know.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think it's important in that scenario
- 11:31Speaker 3: to let them socialize a little bit more Moggi before
- 11:34Speaker 3: they take on those head positions. You know, it's funny
- 11:38Speaker 3: because I've obviously been to a lot of parent teachers
- 11:41Speaker 3: having four girls, and the last one I went to with
- 11:45Speaker 3: my little one there at high school, and it was
- 11:49Speaker 3: it became quite embarrassing. Yeah, because teacher after teacher after
- 11:56Speaker 3: teacher the same thing. Your daughter makes me feel.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Like a deare brain yes, wow yes, And.
- 12:03Speaker 3: They were like, I'm not even going to bother telling
- 12:05Speaker 3: you what she's achieving because it's off the chart.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:09Speaker 3: But I can tell you that I feel like a
- 12:10Speaker 3: dear brain in her presence. Sure, but she's really lovely
- 12:15Speaker 3: with it. She doesn't she knows she knows more than me,
- 12:18Speaker 3: but she doesn't let on and let everyone else know
- 12:21Speaker 3: that she knows more than me.
- 12:22Speaker 4: They've actually kind of gone the other way at the
- 12:24Speaker 4: school there. I was just talking to them before I left,
- 12:26Speaker 4: and there actually there's no more parent teacher interviews for her.
- 12:30Speaker 4: They changed it to MOGI teacher interviews, and that's where
- 12:32Speaker 4: my daughter assesses all the teaching staff there at the school, right, yeah,
- 12:36Speaker 4: and gives them a rating.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Yeah, because it was quite funny because I was just
- 12:40Speaker 3: going to say that in the end, they actually had
- 12:43Speaker 3: my little one, my youngest, actually taking the parent teachers
- 12:47Speaker 3: right because.
- 12:49Speaker 1: So you'd show up and then you'd have a meeting
- 12:51Speaker 1: with her, Yes, but she would.
- 12:53Speaker 3: For all the parents right, right because she had she
- 12:56Speaker 3: knew exactly the levels of where every student was at, right.
- 12:59Speaker 3: And you'll find on these parent teachers, the teachers don't
- 13:02Speaker 3: really have a clue. Yeah, okay, sorry, who's your kedd again?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 13:05Speaker 3: Yeah, but my daughter was like, okay, you know, Alex,
- 13:09Speaker 3: he's here here, here, he needs to work on this, this, this,
- 13:12Speaker 3: and this right, you know what I mean?
- 13:14Speaker 1: So is that what you always say off here that
- 13:15Speaker 1: teachers are all deerbrains?
- 13:17Speaker 3: Do I say that?
- 13:18Speaker 4: Do I?
- 13:20Speaker 2: The Hurdarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio Darchy.
- 13:24Speaker 3: You know, Fellas, it doesn't matter what's going on in
- 13:27Speaker 3: the world. I hear a bit of Green Day and
- 13:30Speaker 3: all is good in my life.
- 13:32Speaker 4: I reckon, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Man, that's what music does for me.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Keasy, that's good, Jason, It's The Hurdarky Big Show four
- 13:38Speaker 1: thirty seven.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Sure is me and Wednesday.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Fellas. Radio Hurdarchy. It's been around for a long time now,
- 13:45Speaker 1: and when it first came on the scene, it was
- 13:47Speaker 1: sort of rebellious.
- 13:48Speaker 4: You know.
- 13:48Speaker 1: It was the one station where they'd play that rock
- 13:50Speaker 1: and roll music and yeah, the Devil's music, the Devil's
- 13:53Speaker 1: music stones. Yeah, playing that now, absolutely we are, And
- 13:59Speaker 1: of Green Day around back then, how they would have
- 14:01Speaker 1: played him? And I'm just a bit I was thinking
- 14:03Speaker 1: about it last night. Are we, as announcers on the
- 14:07Speaker 1: Drive Show, you know, one of the marquee shows, are
- 14:09Speaker 1: we reflecting that sort of Radio Hodarchy image in our
- 14:14Speaker 1: personal lives? Are we rock and roll enough.
- 14:19Speaker 4: What was that rhetorical? Like, do you feel like your
- 14:21Speaker 4: your rock and roll enough?
- 14:23Speaker 3: Well?
- 14:23Speaker 1: I feel like I'm pretty rock and roll.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think what part is you re kind
- 14:28Speaker 4: of rock and roll about you while we're ripped denim.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Sometimes that Caterpillar shirt is pretty machinery cameo.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah, But at the same time, I don't think McJagger
- 14:46Speaker 1: had a fun account, you know what I mean?
- 14:48Speaker 4: Sure? Did he put his his wife to be at
- 14:50Speaker 4: nine o'clock and then have a glass support and play
- 14:53Speaker 4: video games with his week mate pugsn Yeah, I don't know.
- 14:56Speaker 4: I don't know, We don't know.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I've always kind of felt this Keys, now is the
- 15:01Speaker 3: time to bring it out. There's all these accounts you
- 15:04Speaker 3: have is very unrock and roll and just on your
- 15:09Speaker 3: like your Caterpillar shit and stuff and your T shirts
- 15:11Speaker 3: and caps they're cool. Just stop ironing them.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I don't iron my hat. That's I mean, I have
- 15:20Speaker 1: ironed one hat once.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Actually, you're right in terms of your caps, they're filthy
- 15:24Speaker 3: and rock and roll, so that's also.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Can I just confirm too that this is just about me.
- 15:30Speaker 4: But you were concerned about it, You must have thought
- 15:32Speaker 4: about it. In terms of yourself, you know.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And then I was like, but why should I be
- 15:36Speaker 1: the only one who's not quite rock and roll when
- 15:38Speaker 1: we look at you guys. You know, for example, Mike
- 15:40Speaker 1: eats rice and tofu every day.
- 15:43Speaker 4: That's right.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I mean, the most rock and roll thing you've done
- 15:45Speaker 1: lately is get scurvy.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true, which is fair unhealthy.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Although, as you just mentioned, you're on a four day hangover.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I'm going to know you that's right, because it's meant
- 15:54Speaker 4: to be off the booze for one hundred days so
- 15:56Speaker 4: I could prove to myself that I'm not an alcoholic,
- 15:58Speaker 4: and yet here I am with a four hangover. You
- 16:01Speaker 4: see what I'm saying? So any rock and roll?
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:04Speaker 3: When I think about it in terms of me being honest,
- 16:08Speaker 3: being seriously for a second, feelers, really, I just am
- 16:12Speaker 3: rock and roll, right, you know what I mean? Because
- 16:14Speaker 3: I don't you.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Wearing a woman's hoodie?
- 16:16Speaker 3: I don't. Yeah, but you see that's that's my point, Kesey.

- 32:08Speaker 8: we had a kind of working name called Pookys, which
- 32:12Speaker 8: easier to say.
- 32:13Speaker 4: He wasn't gonna sit right.
- 32:14Speaker 8: I'm glad that I shouldn't have said anything, but but
- 32:17Speaker 8: he just goes you should yourself almop and that don't
- 32:21Speaker 8: spell it like alphabet, spell it phonetically. And that's how
- 32:25Speaker 8: it came about. And leave the gap between the gap.
- 32:28Speaker 5: Before the p.
- 32:29Speaker 4: He had that loaded, He had that in his head
- 32:31Speaker 4: for god.
- 32:33Speaker 6: Maybe a little while.
- 32:34Speaker 8: Yeah, So we just went with that, and I liked
- 32:37Speaker 8: it because it didn't actually doesn't tell you.
- 32:39Speaker 6: It doesn't give you any kind of idea of what
- 32:41Speaker 6: you like.
- 32:42Speaker 8: Sure, so whatever we presented as almop was what alm
- 32:45Speaker 8: op wo became, which which actually was ideal for us,
- 32:48Speaker 8: except for the people can't pronounce.
- 32:50Speaker 3: It because that is that because you didn't really know
- 32:52Speaker 3: what it was you were going to be doing.
- 32:54Speaker 8: Or just well, you know, we fell and fell in
- 32:57Speaker 8: their heart and and and and hit the roof. So
- 33:00Speaker 8: we didn't you know, we didn't know. We was all
- 33:02Speaker 8: very unexpected. Yeah, we never we never played a gig
- 33:05Speaker 8: until that. Our first gig was opening for some forty
- 33:09Speaker 8: one had a sold out.
- 33:10Speaker 1: House too deep.
- 33:13Speaker 8: Yeah, and give I'd never sang in front of a
- 33:15Speaker 8: crew and anyone before.
- 33:18Speaker 4: This is this is some pretty old stuff that we're
- 33:20Speaker 4: treating over here. Then, But I just assumed you're a
- 33:23Speaker 4: bunch of people that ran into each other at you
- 33:25Speaker 4: and you or something there and throw a band together.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Is there some other story, No.
- 33:28Speaker 5: That's pretty much it.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:29Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm at least ten years older than all of
- 33:32Speaker 8: them though, so I'd actually done a lot of stuff.
- 33:35Speaker 8: But they said they knew other bands I've been in
- 33:37Speaker 8: and seen me play, and they got me because they
- 33:39Speaker 8: they played me. They played me the demo of Tahoe right,
- 33:42Speaker 8: and I thought it was just bloody genius. Yeah, they say,
- 33:46Speaker 8: you know, it was just like it was like, oh
- 33:47Speaker 8: my gosh, that's amazing. They said, if we can get
- 33:50Speaker 8: something going, you want to play drums for us? I
- 33:51Speaker 8: said in a heartbeat.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:54Speaker 8: So it was all about Dave and Justin. They wrote
- 33:57Speaker 8: these song four songs in the bedroom which was like
- 34:00Speaker 8: hold on Tahoe every day to Saturday and not ver
- 34:05Speaker 8: oona a little later and so you know, and they
- 34:08Speaker 8: took them to the record company and bam, yeah too
- 34:11Speaker 8: easy five album dealed universal.
- 34:13Speaker 3: It's so you being you know, the sort of out
- 34:17Speaker 3: of statesman. Are you sort of like the guru of
- 34:19Speaker 3: the band. Do they come to you for advice and
- 34:22Speaker 3: they go Scottie, jeez, man. I got myself in a
- 34:24Speaker 3: bit of a conundrum. Here helped me out.
- 34:27Speaker 5: They are way too arrogant.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, cool, fair enough.
- 34:33Speaker 8: I think at times I've been that I've been a
- 34:34Speaker 8: little bit of a stable guy. The guys, the guy
- 34:37Speaker 8: that's got a vehicle that gets a warrant, and the
- 34:39Speaker 8: guy that can kind of front a bit of cash
- 34:41Speaker 8: when when they need to get it, you know, they need
- 34:43Speaker 8: to buy some tickets to do something here and there.
- 34:45Speaker 8: But a lot of the time, you know, I just
- 34:48Speaker 8: we just ended up with this kind of deep kind
- 34:51Speaker 8: of respect but also disrespect for each other and but disrespect.
- 34:56Speaker 8: But you know, I had to trust those guys with
- 34:57Speaker 8: the geniuses Dave, Justin and Lilani. You know, I had
- 35:00Speaker 8: to trust that what they were doing was the right
- 35:03Speaker 8: right stuff.
- 35:03Speaker 4: You must have been pretty tricky then the mid twenties.
- 35:05Speaker 4: You're sort of mid to late thirty thirty six. Yeah, yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 4: I guess you've still got a bit of you got
- 35:11Speaker 4: a bit of lead in the pencil when it comes
- 35:13Speaker 4: to going out and getting hammered. But they would have
- 35:14Speaker 4: been they would have been going pretty good as well.
- 35:16Speaker 5: They were a lot. Yeah.
- 35:17Speaker 8: They Actually I'm way worse now than I was then, right, Yeah, Yeah,
- 35:22Speaker 8: I was saying I was Actually I used to have
- 35:25Speaker 8: this song I sing in the in the van after
- 35:27Speaker 8: the show's going.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Drinking drinking, drinking food, drinking food, and that was it.
- 35:30Speaker 6: I was like babysitting some drunkends a lot of the times.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Yeah, and doing all the driving.
- 35:35Speaker 3: I'll tell you what, Scotty, I will go to one
- 35:37Speaker 3: of you. What track is it?
- 35:38Speaker 1: Actually? Well, he's mentioned fast Times in Tahoe, so we
- 35:40Speaker 1: will play that. And the reason we've got Scotty from
- 35:43Speaker 1: Element of p is because they are getting back together
- 35:45Speaker 1: and playing a few shows yeah man, which we'll discuss
- 35:48Speaker 1: after this classic keeping sh.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Hotarchy big show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kissy.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Cher others. Speaking of which we've got Scotty from, I
- 36:08Speaker 3: got to copy with us. Now, Scott A, you fellas
- 36:14Speaker 3: getting together to play a rhythm and alps. When did
- 36:18Speaker 3: you get back together to just start that process.
- 36:21Speaker 6: When they asked us to play right? Which was we?
- 36:24Speaker 8: Well, it must have been about we've got we've got
- 36:29Speaker 8: a guy who helps kind of like answer the phone
- 36:32Speaker 8: for us and find out if people want us, and
- 36:34Speaker 8: then you kind of make an offer and take a little.
- 36:37Speaker 5: Bit for doing that.
- 36:38Speaker 8: Sure, And that's it must have been a couple of
- 36:40Speaker 8: a couple of months ago a booking agent. Sure, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 8: he's very good. But yeah, so that that one came
- 36:46Speaker 8: in and we had a few. We've got a few others.
- 36:48Speaker 8: But it's really hard because GiB lives in New York
- 36:51Speaker 8: and getting him back and he's.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Got to record label or something like that. What's he
- 36:56Speaker 4: doing over there, because he's a busy boy.
- 36:57Speaker 8: If he's he's become about a year ago, became the
- 37:01Speaker 8: manager of Crowded House. Ah, right, So he's been doing
- 37:05Speaker 8: management for a good number of years. But he's probably
- 37:07Speaker 8: been in New York about ten or twelve years, I think, right,
- 37:09Speaker 8: And he was working for the Strokes, for the guy
- 37:11Speaker 8: who managed the Strokes, so he was an assistant, right,
- 37:14Speaker 8: But they got they moved and so Gibbo was looking
- 37:21Speaker 8: looking for stuff and a lot of other stuff.
- 37:24Speaker 3: He's very good. You know. It's really interesting actually for
- 37:27Speaker 3: a lot of the bands that we talked to on
- 37:30Speaker 3: our show. You know, they're all over the shop in
- 37:32Speaker 3: terms of he lives here, they live over there, This
- 37:34Speaker 3: person's over in this country. It's a bit of a
- 37:36Speaker 3: pain in the ass, isn't it. Easier if you're all
- 37:39Speaker 3: in the same city.
- 37:40Speaker 8: That's what that's good saying, you know, with crowded house
- 37:42Speaker 8: like you know Nixson Australia, Nil's here, Liam's and or
- 37:47Speaker 8: Liam and l A and Alroy's in New York and yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 8: and Mitchell Froom's in France. So getting those five people
- 37:56Speaker 8: together is pretty difficult.
- 37:57Speaker 1: When he complains about that being their manager, do you
- 37:59Speaker 1: go year, Well, the whole of Element appiece here in
- 38:02Speaker 1: New Zealand, except for you give Tho's voice to it.
- 38:06Speaker 1: It's it's iconic. It's very distinct, but also it's almost
- 38:10Speaker 1: like a guy talking.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Yeah, he's got that talkie delivery.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's very easy to sing along to, which
- 38:15Speaker 1: is good.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:16Speaker 6: And the simple, simple sort of lyrics and stuff.
- 38:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:19Speaker 8: But you know that that we thought about trying to
- 38:20Speaker 8: get someone to replace him, but no one sounds.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Like him constantly.
- 38:26Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 4: Yeah, but you guys must find that there is definitely
- 38:28Speaker 4: an appetite for you to have gigs, certainly around summertime
- 38:32Speaker 4: and touring because it is an iconic band. It was
- 38:35Speaker 4: sort of I remember it was you guys just came
- 38:37Speaker 4: out of nowhere, and the quality of those pop songs.
- 38:41Speaker 4: It's you know, they're rocky, but it's pop unbelievable, and
- 38:45Speaker 4: it was just one after the other. Yeah, we did
- 38:47Speaker 4: they hold up so well now because we didn't.
- 38:49Speaker 8: We didn't release the album until after Varona, which was
- 38:51Speaker 8: the fourth single.
- 38:52Speaker 6: So right, four songs on the radio that got lots
- 38:54Speaker 6: of play.
- 38:55Speaker 8: Just talking about that first gig, I was driving from
- 38:57Speaker 8: my flat man now, but to go play that first
- 38:59Speaker 8: gig with some forty one at the power station channels
- 39:02Speaker 8: sorry that they played. They played the song and the
- 39:05Speaker 8: guy got to the end of the of Tahoe and
- 39:07Speaker 8: he goes, I love the song. There's a new New
- 39:09Speaker 8: Zealand man, brand new alemp. I like so much, I'm
- 39:12Speaker 8: going to play it again.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 39:16Speaker 4: And he did that.
- 39:17Speaker 8: I don't know who it was now, but you know,
- 39:19Speaker 8: but I'm going, wow. That does not happen very often radio.
- 39:23Speaker 8: You just can't.
- 39:23Speaker 5: It's a bit of a no no that would love
- 39:26Speaker 5: to you know, we got lucky.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's there would have been a massive buzz. But
- 39:29Speaker 3: just in terms of you guys getting together again, how
- 39:31Speaker 3: was that? How was the melding together? It's been a
- 39:33Speaker 3: little while. I imagine what did you and we instantly
- 39:36Speaker 3: get on the bike again or was there a few
- 39:38Speaker 3: sort of we did.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Full show, full show, three or three shows last year.
- 39:44Speaker 8: New Year's we did Dobinant, we played Dominant Coglen and
- 39:48Speaker 8: we did our own show. Yeah, headlined at New Year's
- 39:51Speaker 8: even Hagley Park, and we did another one we were
- 39:56Speaker 8: at and you plymouth that.
- 39:58Speaker 5: The Butler's with with Drax Project.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Oh it was fine, so we went.
- 40:05Speaker 8: But previous to that we hadn't played for two years
- 40:07Speaker 8: with COVID everything else.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Yeah, so and we went.
- 40:09Speaker 8: You know, we went on to did like twelve thousand
- 40:11Speaker 8: people at Hagley Park with two rehearsals and.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Right, and we killed it.
- 40:16Speaker 6: So you know, there's still it's still kind of there
- 40:18Speaker 6: and this this this far down. We did take it seriously.
- 40:21Speaker 6: The first rehearsal was always.
- 40:22Speaker 8: Really crap, really bad, and then we're just going, what
- 40:25Speaker 8: do we hell what we're doing? But then we just
- 40:27Speaker 8: kind of rally and the next one's real good, and
- 40:29Speaker 8: then we just go we can do it, or we
- 40:30Speaker 8: maybe need to have a couple of extra songs, and
- 40:32Speaker 8: there we go.
- 40:33Speaker 1: What's the song that you step first rehearsal? You're back
- 40:35Speaker 1: together again, do you just whack into Verona? Is that
- 40:37Speaker 1: the one you get going with?
- 40:38Speaker 8: Probably one of that that that Tahoe or you know,
- 40:41Speaker 8: one of the one of them king hats, you know.
- 40:43Speaker 8: I mean there was a stage there. We're just going
- 40:45Speaker 8: if we have to play again. You know, it got
- 40:48Speaker 8: like that in a little bit in the middle, but.
- 40:50Speaker 6: But now it's just joyous because we just yeah, we.
- 40:53Speaker 8: Know, we're like a pretty reasonable family and get you know,
- 40:57Speaker 8: we have funny in jokes and things that we do
- 40:59Speaker 8: all the time. It's not as hard as it got
- 41:01Speaker 8: in the middle when we had a lot of a
- 41:02Speaker 8: lot at steak Yeah.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Do you reckon that? Because that's obviously a result of
- 41:06Speaker 1: you guys being really successful. So you have to play Verona,
- 41:08Speaker 1: Tahoe all these songs all the time. Now you might
- 41:11Speaker 1: have a few gigs every year, so you're almost fizzed
- 41:14Speaker 1: up to play it again.
- 41:15Speaker 6: Of course, And exactly right, and yeah, we're so lucky.
- 41:17Speaker 8: Ow, there's like twelve songs that everyone knows and the's
- 41:20Speaker 8: three albums, yeah, you know, and.
- 41:21Speaker 6: Both basically a festival sets fifty minutes or something.
- 41:24Speaker 5: So you just played the best.
- 41:26Speaker 6: Yeah, hell, and there's no point in trying to you
- 41:29Speaker 6: know we're given up.
- 41:30Speaker 8: You know, we thought about writing something new or having
- 41:32Speaker 8: to go, but when what's the point because it's is
- 41:34Speaker 8: it going to be as good as those?
- 41:35Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 41:36Speaker 8: And if it's not as good as those, you ruin
- 41:38Speaker 8: those yeah right by trying to do something else. Absolutely,
- 41:41Speaker 8: and we're just too busy and you know we've moved it.
- 41:43Speaker 3: But well, Scotty from Lamnop, thanks so much for coming in. Mate,
- 41:47Speaker 3: Rhythm and Alps, give me the deets there, keysy.

- 42:12Speaker 4: of those Rhythm and Helps. We're fourteen years ago. I
- 42:16Speaker 4: was only a young buck then Jason thirty eight, driving
- 42:19Speaker 4: rock and roll bands. God it was a good time.
- 42:21Speaker 4: Fifty bucks a day.
- 42:23Speaker 8: Wow, there some good van benter a oh and the
- 42:26Speaker 8: drive for the driver there's always some jokes going down.
- 42:29Speaker 5: We can't wait for that.
- 42:29Speaker 6: It's going to be so good.
- 42:30Speaker 5: We've never done it before. It's going to be there
- 42:33Speaker 5: that venue.
- 42:34Speaker 8: I've driven past you at the time when it set up,
- 42:36Speaker 8: not going but just driving past.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Man, beautiful eating Scotty.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Thanks so much for coming in mate, all the best
- 42:42Speaker 3: with the gigs and maybe coming again soon when you're
- 42:45Speaker 3: doing another gig.
- 42:46Speaker 5: Okay, good shit, man, thank you so much for having me.

- 43:36Speaker 3: outside of the show got to a slow start today.
- 43:40Speaker 3: It was one of those peculiar moments where we were
- 43:42Speaker 3: all kind of lost for words.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Very much. You guys found your words, Yes we did.
- 43:49Speaker 1: And I didn't feature a lot. No, it was quite nice.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I was just chilling listening to you guys chat bread.
- 43:53Speaker 4: Sitting back in the pocket. Weren't you kezy?
- 43:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's actually really nice. And Jace, you were still
- 43:58Speaker 1: banging on about the idea you had for your chide loaf.
- 44:02Speaker 4: Yes you were.
- 44:03Speaker 1: I was, which for people who just joined us, is
- 44:05Speaker 1: what small bread? Many loaves, many loads for the lonely
- 44:08Speaker 1: people who are sick of throwing away the bread, or
- 44:11Speaker 1: the elderly or the elderly, or you could just freeze it. Yes,
- 44:15Speaker 1: that's also an option. Here's a clip from today's podcast,
- 44:19Speaker 1: out comes out at seven thirty tonight. This one's entitled Molenberg.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I'm a Mollenberg guy.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Oh I find those pieces a bit big for me.
- 44:31Speaker 3: They're quite they're quite big.
- 44:33Speaker 4: You want be able to get through it.
- 44:35Speaker 3: I like this. I like the size of your of
- 44:37Speaker 3: your vogels. Kezy, what's wrong, man.
- 44:41Speaker 1: You're so pedantic about everything in the entire world. Everything's
- 44:46Speaker 1: like one eighth too big for you.
- 44:52Speaker 3: And as you pointed out there, the old Mollenberg bread,
- 44:55Speaker 3: it is quite floppy.
- 44:56Speaker 4: It was a floppy situation.
- 44:57Speaker 3: And often often you'll get a fold in your Mollender,
- 45:01Speaker 3: you know what I mean, in the corner. Yeah, that's no,
- 45:04Speaker 3: that's true. Whereas your your vogels, there is a firm,
- 45:07Speaker 3: stiffer bread it is.
- 45:09Speaker 4: There's no good for a singer though, no, no good, no, no.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Mollyberg is very much a singer. And we're also
- 45:16Speaker 1: talking about how good because it's bigger. Yeah, it's the
- 45:19Speaker 1: same shape as white death bread. How good is just
- 45:23Speaker 1: brand new Nature's fresh, or like a tip top fresh
- 45:27Speaker 1: white bread. Just for some butter on it, but a
- 45:29Speaker 1: peanut butter. Maybe it's so good with a banger, Yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 1: sausage and you check it in there.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Some fried onions, beautiful.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You squirt some fried onions on there.
- 45:43Speaker 3: No, you squirt some sauce onions. I'm an actual sucker
- 45:49Speaker 3: for the old sausage sizzle. Yeah, outside your bunnings.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Sucker what.

- 46:35Speaker 3: Yeah, good stuff. Speaking of the Instagram, actually we put
- 46:38Speaker 3: something up there for this show, and the question was
- 46:42Speaker 3: are we rock and roll enough? And who's the most
- 46:44Speaker 3: rock and roll from recollection? Is that right?
- 46:46Speaker 1: That's right? So earlier earlier in the show, I just
- 46:48Speaker 1: I've been feeling a bit guilty, like we aren't worthy
- 46:51Speaker 1: of being on radio.
- 46:51Speaker 4: Hode you're a pretender like we are. Charlatan are pretenders.
- 46:55Speaker 1: That's right, because we're one of the main shows on
- 46:57Speaker 1: a rock and roll station. Are we rock and roll enough?
- 47:00Speaker 1: Pug Son then chucked a big pole up on a
- 47:01Speaker 1: Hurki Big Show Instagram who is the most rock and roll?
- 47:05Speaker 1: So you can vote for three people that anyone want
- 47:07Speaker 1: to guess who came in last?
- 47:10Speaker 4: You, Oh Kezy?
- 47:13Speaker 1: Even people thought old Kezy was right to be fair
- 47:16Speaker 1: the photo we took, it's not pug Son's fault, it's
- 47:22Speaker 1: my fault. Mogi's doing his best. Looks like he's on
- 47:24Speaker 1: the front of like a Creed album. Jace, you look
- 47:27Speaker 1: like you're the bass guitarist for Green Day.
- 47:29Speaker 3: I look like Robert Smith.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Yeah you try. You got a cool post going. You
- 47:34Speaker 1: got the here go. I didn't realize it and I'm
- 47:35Speaker 1: just sort of standing in the back guy with a
- 47:38Speaker 1: big grin like a goofb. So I got eleven percent
- 47:42Speaker 1: of the votes, all right, which means pretty good. I thought, yeah,
- 47:47Speaker 1: thanks fellas. That means even with that caterpillar shift too,
- 47:51Speaker 1: there's eighty nine percent of the vote left. Who do
- 47:53Speaker 1: you think was the most rock and roll? To take
- 47:56Speaker 1: it out what do you think, Jace?
- 47:58Speaker 3: Yeah, probably me.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It was you fifty six percent of the vibe.
- 48:04Speaker 3: See yours is what I mean. I just am rock
- 48:06Speaker 3: and roll.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Well, can you give me some advice? So if I
- 48:09Speaker 1: was to copy you to be more rock and roll?
- 48:10Speaker 1: Should I start wearing ladies, hoodies, truck of caps, if
- 48:15Speaker 1: and Jeff and more, smoking darts, punch and darts?
- 48:20Speaker 3: Yeah? Man?
- 48:21Speaker 1: What else should I do?
- 48:22Speaker 3: To be honest?
- 48:23Speaker 6: Keezy?
- 48:23Speaker 3: It's not something that you can fake. So you're a
- 48:27Speaker 3: bit of a lost cause because you know, yeah, you're
- 48:31Speaker 3: a lovely fella. You're a bit goofy.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I don't want to be lovely and goofy rock and roll.
- 48:36Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, you're just a nice bloke and so
- 48:40Speaker 3: you know you don't have the rock and roll Jeane.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Do you think Magie? Um?
- 48:46Speaker 4: Look, I think you know you've got that smash mouth vibe?
- 48:50Speaker 1: Okay, I'm happy.
- 48:51Speaker 4: The lead singer of smash Yeah, the lead singer of
- 48:55Speaker 4: what's that butterfly Baby song?
- 48:57Speaker 1: Crazy Town?
- 48:58Speaker 4: Crazy Town? You got that sort of sort of of
- 49:00Speaker 4: you know, the music isn't really that rock and roll,
- 49:04Speaker 4: but there is a drum kit involved.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Well, like if I was looking at you, and I
- 49:08Speaker 3: was trying to guess what sort of music you're into.
- 49:10Speaker 3: I'd immediately go Taylor Swift.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Right, you think I'm a Swift?
- 49:14Speaker 5: Ye?
- 49:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 49:15Speaker 1: Once again, this is who's rock and roll out of
- 49:18Speaker 1: all of us. You know that's not Why is Key
- 49:21Speaker 1: not rock and roll?
- 49:22Speaker 3: Right?
- 49:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 49:23Speaker 3: Right? Well, well you asked me what you know, what
- 49:26Speaker 3: you needed to do?
- 49:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and you just told me. I look like it's true.
- 49:29Speaker 1: That's true.
- 49:30Speaker 4: You did ask it.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and you haven't actually told me anything. You just
- 49:32Speaker 1: said that I did.
- 49:33Speaker 4: I said, I hope your last cause is what he said, right, Okay, Yeah,
- 49:38Speaker 4: it's good to know.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Well, Mike, you only got thirty three percent of the vote, right,
- 49:42Speaker 1: which is one third? Yeah, which is in your one
- 49:44Speaker 1: third of our show.
- 49:45Speaker 4: That's true. So I got the right amount? Yeah, perfect amount,
- 49:48Speaker 4: which is really annoying.
- 49:51Speaker 3: But was there a generic question? More to the point,
- 49:54Speaker 3: are we good question?
- 49:56Speaker 1: Just know there wasn't You should Berek Pugs for that?
- 49:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 50:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going to go in there and didition the
- 50:03Speaker 3: whole archy Big shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and
- 50:07Speaker 3: Keys the Cult there on the radio Hodarky Big Show
- 50:09Speaker 3: this Wednesday afternoon. But right down, it's time for What's
- 50:15Speaker 3: on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
- 50:21Speaker 7: Yeah, oh man, that's good.
- 50:35Speaker 4: Many. I don't watch anything last well, I did, but
- 50:37Speaker 4: it was Seinfeld and I know how you hate that, Jase.
- 50:39Speaker 4: So I'm just going to talk a little bit about
- 50:41Speaker 4: a movie the role of Jenny p and I produced
- 50:42Speaker 4: a film a couple of five years she's five years ago, wow,
- 50:47Speaker 4: called Coming Home in the Dark, directed by James Ashcroft.
- 50:50Speaker 4: He has just directed his second feature film in which
- 50:54Speaker 4: I had no part, sire, but my wife was a
- 50:56Speaker 4: production designer, and has just had its world premiere at
- 51:01Speaker 4: the Fantastic Fist over in the States over in the
- 51:04Speaker 4: States there and it stars Jeffrey Rush and John Lithgow. Yes,
- 51:08Speaker 4: maybe you talking about it and just one best director
- 51:12Speaker 4: and Best Actor at that festival for Jeffrey Rush. And
- 51:16Speaker 4: Stephen King has tweeted about it. He said, I watched
- 51:20Speaker 4: one of the best movies I've seen this year. It's
- 51:21Speaker 4: called The Rule of Jenny Pen and I urge you
- 51:23Speaker 4: to watch it when it appears in general release. Jeffrey
- 51:27Speaker 4: Rush stars John Lethgow is a geriatric psychopath with an
- 51:30Speaker 4: evil hand puppet amazing. So it's pretty good. I just
- 51:33Speaker 4: wanted to raise that that'll be coming out probably next
- 51:35Speaker 4: year in New Zealand and it'll be a little beauty.
- 51:38Speaker 3: Interesting that you mentioned Stephen King there because I follow
- 51:42Speaker 3: him on Twitter, and what I love about Stephen King
- 51:46Speaker 3: is he's a real democrat and he loves trolling all
- 51:49Speaker 3: the psychopaths over in America and it's quite amusing. He'll
- 51:52Speaker 3: make a comment about something that say Trump or someone
- 51:55Speaker 3: says and then just a vitriol and hate that comes
- 51:58Speaker 3: his way. He must love it.
- 52:00Speaker 4: I reckon quite eloquent, isn't it, what you know, sort
- 52:02Speaker 4: of welcoming them into his track.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Yes.
- 52:05Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 52:05Speaker 3: About you guys, but back in the day actual because
- 52:07Speaker 3: I didn't watch anything last night either ready May, it
- 52:09Speaker 3: was just sort of browsing. Stephen King was the man
- 52:12Speaker 3: in terms of, you know, as a teenager reading books,
- 52:15Speaker 3: all his horrors and stuff, pet cemetery, that kind of thing, Kerry,
- 52:19Speaker 3: I love that stuff. And there was always a little
- 52:21Speaker 3: bit of eroticism in there too, which for a you know, vibrant,
- 52:25Speaker 3: vigorous teenager cover was just the ticket.
- 52:29Speaker 5: Keysy.
- 52:30Speaker 4: Yes, it was. The one thing I would say about
- 52:34Speaker 4: it is that he can't write an ending, No, and
- 52:36Speaker 4: so I stopped reading his books because his endings were
- 52:40Speaker 4: an insult to his readers, absolute abomination.
- 52:43Speaker 1: But other than that great reads, I was more of
- 52:45Speaker 1: a Doctor Seuss guy. There's some eroticism in there.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Sorry. Sorry, was read you were very good.
- 53:01Speaker 1: River God the Egyptian one great book.
- 53:06Speaker 3: So I thought there was a program that you were watching.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Last night, I watched Sleeper Chooser Island, and going into it,
- 53:12Speaker 1: my wife said, Oh, I really can't stand this person
- 53:14Speaker 1: and I also really can't stand this person, and last
- 53:18Speaker 1: night they were both eliminated.
- 53:20Speaker 4: Wow.
- 53:20Speaker 1: So she's like stoked. So everybody watched it knows who
- 53:23Speaker 1: she hates, that's right, But she just finds certain people
- 53:26Speaker 1: very annoying or nasty. Yeah, and so she doesn't like them.
- 53:29Speaker 3: Do you think that your wife has a direct line
- 53:32Speaker 3: to the producers and she you know, she says, I
- 53:34Speaker 3: don't like these two, get rid of them. Yeah.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I mean it was filmed like five months ago, so she.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Sort of worked in that sort of area, didn't she.
- 53:40Speaker 1: So maybe maybe Jace, she was fired by them, so
- 53:45Speaker 1: I'm not sure if they still would listen to her.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Your wife should be an influencer.
- 53:48Speaker 1: Keasy, hey, keasy hello.
- 53:50Speaker 4: Was it a good episode?
- 53:51Speaker 3: Man?
- 53:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it was fine.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Actually, so they've got the thing that they do where
- 53:55Speaker 1: at the interview episode they need to end with a cliffhanger,
- 53:57Speaker 1: and there's one thing they do called a captain's cur
- 54:00Speaker 1: One team gets to pick someone from the other team
- 54:03Speaker 1: to go up against the other team's captain. Yes, and
- 54:07Speaker 1: the winner gets to be the new captain, which means
- 54:08Speaker 1: you're immune. However, if the current captain wins, they get
- 54:12Speaker 1: an advantage thing.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Huh.
- 54:14Speaker 1: And so unfortunately it's massively flawed. The team just goes,
- 54:18Speaker 1: are you happy with me being captain? They were all
- 54:19Speaker 1: like yeah, like okay, cool, I'll win this challenge and
- 54:22Speaker 1: just get us an advantage and you just throw it right,
- 54:25Speaker 1: And so that's what's kind of started happening, which is
- 54:27Speaker 1: a bit shit.
- 54:27Speaker 4: That's good play the rules, man.
- 54:30Speaker 1: The rules isn't It's just they'll have to think of
- 54:31Speaker 1: something new for next time. Oh god, yeah, weez it.
- 54:35Speaker 2: The Hdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Kisey Kim McCole brothers there on the Radio Honkey Big
- 54:42Speaker 3: Show this Wednesday evening. Now Listen to regular listeners of
- 54:46Speaker 3: your show, you'll know we're running this extraordinary competition at
- 54:50Speaker 3: the moment with the good bastards from Diamonds on Richmond,
- 54:53Speaker 3: and it's basically sort of geared towards anyone that's thinking
- 54:56Speaker 3: of bending the knee for that special person in their life,
- 55:00Speaker 3: maybe making a sort of public commitment to each other.
- 55:03Speaker 3: That's Jazz and we with regard to that, have a
- 55:08Speaker 3: ten thousand dollars engagement ring that you could potentially win.
- 55:12Speaker 4: I can't believe that. It's incredible, man, two thousand bucks.
- 55:15Speaker 4: So I think is what do you reckon? Is that
- 55:16Speaker 4: around about the expectation that people have got when it
- 55:18Speaker 4: comes to getting an engagement ring? Because you were saying
- 55:22Speaker 4: that you spent about that much Keysy, is it about right? Man?
- 55:24Speaker 1: Did I?
- 55:25Speaker 3: Teen? Grand Man?
- 55:26Speaker 1: That's what it depends on very much on your situation.
- 55:30Speaker 4: Yeah, what is your situation?
- 55:31Speaker 1: I don't want anyone to feel bad if they didn't
- 55:34Speaker 1: spend that much on their day's.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:36Speaker 1: In my particular situation, I spent thrice that amount.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:42Speaker 1: And then she said no, and then I went back
- 55:44Speaker 1: and added a bit more and then she said yes, Yeah,
- 55:47Speaker 1: that's my personal situation.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of personal situations, we've encouraged people to send
- 55:53Speaker 3: in their proposal ideas for us to look over.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Basically, well, that's the thing. If you got to huduck
- 55:59Speaker 1: you doc in Zend and enter our competition, you could
- 56:02Speaker 1: win a ten thousand dollars engagement round courtesy of Diamonds
- 56:05Speaker 1: on Richmond. You just have to tell us how you're
- 56:08Speaker 1: planning on proposing. Yeah, here's one. This one's from Anonymous.
- 56:13Speaker 1: It's from Frank.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Frank Anonymous.
- 56:15Speaker 1: Frank Frank Anonymous. Yes, hey, fellas, allow me to be Frank.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Oh so it is from Anonymous? Yeah, sorry, Yeah, that's
- 56:25Speaker 1: what threw me off. I would take my partner to
- 56:29Speaker 1: her favorite place for the door, which is in the
- 56:32Speaker 1: corimandle I think, I don't know, beautiful and do a
- 56:35Speaker 1: nice simple proposal on the beach at sunset, having.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Wrong with that old schools and it's a lovely spot
- 56:42Speaker 3: for sure.
- 56:42Speaker 4: You could draw a heart in the sand. Frank, you
- 56:45Speaker 4: go Anonymous and Frank is that fun?
- 56:50Speaker 1: Is that funny? No, So that's what Anonymous is doing.
- 56:55Speaker 1: That's quite simple, wasn't it.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Yeah? Sometimes that's the best. Yeah, you know, the com complicate.
- 57:00Speaker 1: These you can get a Feller's anonymous here on our
- 57:05Speaker 1: trip to Japan. Somehow someway, it'll probably be slightly spontaneous.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Did he say on the subway, This would be somehow
- 57:16Speaker 3: some way, yeah, some way subway.
- 57:20Speaker 1: No, absolutely, it could be on the subway, which, of
- 57:22Speaker 1: course Japan is famous for its well.
- 57:24Speaker 4: To have a subway. And then there's an engagement ring
- 57:27Speaker 4: hitting in the sandwich.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Yeah, well I was going to say, having said that,
- 57:29Speaker 3: you don't, I mean, it's not that romantic an engagement
- 57:34Speaker 3: were having a proposal and subway, Well, you're.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Eating a subway.
- 57:39Speaker 3: You could probably still order like a foot long.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Well, the issue we've got here is that this.
- 57:44Speaker 4: Is to be happy with the six inch though. Well,
- 57:47Speaker 4: you might be.
- 57:48Speaker 1: The issue we've got here is is a Diamonds Bond
- 57:52Speaker 1: Richmond competition. And now people are going to think it's
- 57:54Speaker 1: a subway competition.
- 57:55Speaker 3: It's not certainly not that.
- 57:56Speaker 1: No, yeah, yeah, because I meant the subway isn't like
- 57:58Speaker 1: the train.
- 57:59Speaker 3: And yeah, so you did say some way.
- 58:03Speaker 1: No, I didn't even say subhass in some way some way. Actually,
- 58:06Speaker 1: you know what, who cares about this part of this
- 58:09Speaker 1: competition for today? Go to Hodaki dot Co dot in
- 58:12Speaker 1: ziget yourself in the draw and if you are thinking
- 58:14Speaker 1: on buying an engagement ring, make sure you do it
- 58:16Speaker 1: before October twenty fifth. Oh while you're in at Diamonds
- 58:20Speaker 1: on Richmond which is in Ponsobi and Auckland, use the
- 58:22Speaker 1: phrase my wife and they will pay the GST for you.
- 58:25Speaker 1: That is one hell of a saving.
- 58:26Speaker 3: It is a great saving actually, And don't forget.
- 58:28Speaker 1: They make it easy and stress free to buy an
- 58:31Speaker 1: engagement ring. No worries about a high precious situation. You
- 58:33Speaker 1: don't need to know anything.
- 58:35Speaker 2: After you the hod Aki Big Shows with Jason Hoyt,
- 58:39Speaker 2: Mike Minogue and Kisy.
- 58:49Speaker 3: There you go, your Mayor Barsard's that's your Wednesday show

- 59:02Speaker 1: Go hard a little bit of work.
- 59:05Speaker 4: It's my wife's last dated job today, so we'll get
- 59:08Speaker 4: something sorted out there.
- 59:09Speaker 3: And there.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Look it's a Wednesday man, I'll be doing nothing, let's
- 59:12Speaker 4: be honest.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Yeah, Nicekezy, you're playing in your wife's nepple side aren't you.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm filling in for my wife's indoor netple team.
- 59:20Speaker 1: It's her former workmates. They've started an indoor netball team.
- 59:23Speaker 1: They Lucy was good to Nepple, will bring her in. Yeah,
- 59:27Speaker 1: and then they've now got oh we need some more boys,
- 59:29Speaker 1: maybe bring old Keyzy in. But then the group chat
- 59:33Speaker 1: sending the rules of indoor Nepple to one another. So
- 59:35Speaker 1: they've literally never played before the season. So I'm going
- 59:38Speaker 1: to find that a wee bit frustrated you are.
- 59:40Speaker 3: Do you do you think that netble's rock and roll?
- 59:43Speaker 1: Ah? Probably? Probably, it gets pretty it gets pretty heated. Yeah,
- 59:49Speaker 1: we're in the bottom grade. You don't like it when
- 59:51Speaker 1: it gets heated though, No, I hate it. Yeah, very
- 59:54Speaker 1: rock and roll. Yeah. Actually, even this confrontation between us
- 59:58Speaker 1: right now, I'm showing away from there fair enough.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: I'm the same keys here. I don't need you know,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: I'm not into confrontations. No, and if anyone gets to
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: the classies, smack.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: Them seapcon Yeah, hey, no, listen, it's a throwback.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Hopefully it is going to be a great trip tomorrow.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to it. We'll have a bit of
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: snapper to give away on the show maybe films.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: We can't give away snapper.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Can't we?
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Why not?
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Nine per person? That's twenty seven winners?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Yeah, how do we give that one? Are the logistics?
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: How do we get below? Yeah?
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: We'll just post it.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: How does it stay fresh? I don't think you can
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: post it?
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: There's an licen there.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: All right, you've convinced me it's do it.
