- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is spoil Me
- 0:09Speaker 1: covering one piece episodes five six o seven, Sorry through
- 0:17Speaker 1: six h nine. A fierce battle gets heated Loofy versus Caesar,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a mastermind underground do Flamingo makes his move and Loofy
- 0:29Speaker 1: dies from exposure the spine chilling snow woman Monet in
- 0:37Speaker 1: these episodes, y'all, remember how I was complaining with the
- 0:42Speaker 1: last arc that the fight is so just dudes hovering
- 0:48Speaker 1: in the water punching at each other and it was boring.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I do not have that complaint with this arc at all.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Welcome to spoil Me. Welcome to the show everyone. I
- 1:21Speaker 1: am Natasha. Thank you very much to Florian for commissioning
- 1:25Speaker 1: this episode. Y'all, this arc has been so fun. I'm
- 1:30Speaker 1: having such a good time. This fight was so interesting
- 1:36Speaker 1: to watch because we have added so many like the
- 1:40Speaker 1: whole thing with the fact that Caesar can take the
- 1:44Speaker 1: oxygen out of the room. I meant to bring up
- 1:49Speaker 1: last episode, the fact that Lufy is going in there
- 1:52Speaker 1: and he's truly acting like this time this fight's going
- 1:55Speaker 1: to be different, and I meant to ask, why is
- 1:58Speaker 1: it going to be different? Because he still do the
- 2:01Speaker 1: thing to you, right, Like, I was sort of going, well,
- 2:05Speaker 1: what is have you figured out a way around that?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Because I don't know how, And it turns out he
- 2:12Speaker 1: hadn't so much figured a way around it as he
- 2:16Speaker 1: had figured out a way to assess how effective it is.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And what Lufy does during this first episode is he
- 2:29Speaker 1: tests the way that the like oxygen power works by
- 2:36Speaker 1: moving as far away as he can and seeing if
- 2:40Speaker 1: it's still working, so he can assess a sort of
- 2:44Speaker 1: like boundary beyond which he can start to breathe again.
- 2:50Speaker 1: And so it's just crazy to me how simple a
- 2:56Speaker 1: mechanism that is in terms of like the overall way
- 3:00Speaker 1: the power works and something that Lufy has to figure out.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It's a really simple, straightforward, like what's the word I want? Uh? Boundary?
- 3:14Speaker 1: I guess to the power And I mean that literally
- 3:17Speaker 1: and figuratively. It's a literal there's a boundary line where
- 3:21Speaker 1: it doesn't work anymore. But also, as somebody writing a scene,
- 3:27Speaker 1: you do have to figure out, Okay, what are the
- 3:30Speaker 1: actual like outer limits of what I can have this
- 3:33Speaker 1: character do because they have to have some kind of weakness.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Of course, you know, you've got to build in some
- 3:41Speaker 1: way in which this thing either can be defeated or
- 3:46Speaker 1: is less effective than you might think, or has this
- 3:50Speaker 1: one particular little weakness that you could maybe exploit, like
- 3:54Speaker 1: you're sticking a crowbar in there and wedging it open.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And so what I I really loved was Lufy dancing
- 4:04Speaker 1: backward out of the way, trying to just sort of
- 4:08Speaker 1: find the spot where he can get out of range.
- 4:12Speaker 1: And all it is is straight up Caesar like chasing him.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Caesar is just pursuing him and like, no, no, no,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna get you, and it's
- 4:25Speaker 1: such like again, it's so simple, but it makes the
- 4:27Speaker 1: scene so much more interesting to watch, and he occasionally
- 4:34Speaker 1: does get within range and occasionally does manage to like
- 4:38Speaker 1: pull the oxygen out of Lufy's lungs again, and so
- 4:42Speaker 1: Lufy has to find another way out. And I just you, guys,
- 4:47Speaker 1: this fight was so much more compelling because of this,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and especially because, like as viewers, we weren't told ahead
- 4:58Speaker 1: of time that this was what Lufy was going to
- 4:59Speaker 1: do to try to find a way around it, so
- 5:03Speaker 1: you know, for him to try and puzzle this out. Look,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna sound really bitchy here. And I don't mean
- 5:14Speaker 1: to sound bitchy, but I will say, to a degree,
- 5:19Speaker 1: this isn't really my fault. But Loofy, you don't have
- 5:24Speaker 1: a reputation of being the smartest guy in the group.
- 5:32Speaker 1: You don't have You're not somebody that I think of
- 5:37Speaker 1: as being a real critical thinker. Now, I love you anyway,
- 5:44Speaker 1: That's not really what you're here for. I get it,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but it can get a little bit tiresome. It can
- 5:52Speaker 1: sometimes feel like, bruh, all you do is bring your
- 5:57Speaker 1: punchy kikiS to the table, can we just And I
- 6:01Speaker 1: was actually, like in a maternal way, sort of beaming
- 6:05Speaker 1: with pride at the fact that he, it seems, has
- 6:10Speaker 1: sort of figured this out for himself. Now I may
- 6:13Speaker 1: be wrong about this, and it may be that Law
- 6:16Speaker 1: told Loufy this ability only works so far. It may
- 6:21Speaker 1: have even happened on camera and I missed it. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: don't know. I don't remember, though, so I'm giving Lufy
- 6:26Speaker 1: the credit as of right now. And it's just kind
- 6:30Speaker 1: of nice to think that maybe he managed to do
- 6:32Speaker 1: this himself, because overall, you know the sense of this fight,
- 6:42Speaker 1: especially once you have Monet in there. You know, I
- 6:47Speaker 1: wasn't entirely I wasn't like upset about the speech that
- 6:53Speaker 1: Zorro gives in the last episode where he's just like, lufy, dude,
- 6:57Speaker 1: you really got to get it together, like this is
- 7:00Speaker 1: not the grand line. We're in the New World. There
- 7:05Speaker 1: are new standards here. If we don't start to fucking
- 7:09Speaker 1: play for keeps, we're screwed. And as much as Sanji,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I think, is the one who says like just what
- 7:17Speaker 1: we needed a kick in the ass, a part of
- 7:21Speaker 1: me was sort of like, ouch, you know, I kind
- 7:27Speaker 1: of knew Zoro was right, and I'm not, like I said,
- 7:29Speaker 1: I'm not even really arguing because there have been a
- 7:33Speaker 1: few times where I'm watching this going our friends are
- 7:37Speaker 1: supposed to be stronger. Now we're on the other side
- 7:39Speaker 1: of two years, why do they keep getting gut like this?
- 7:44Speaker 1: So it sort of felt a little bit like the
- 7:47Speaker 1: author lampshading that. But all that said, Zoro saying that,
- 7:54Speaker 1: it just sort of felt like in the moment, it's
- 7:56Speaker 1: meant to give Loofy a boost, and it felt like
- 8:02Speaker 1: his speech was treated with more gravity than it really
- 8:07Speaker 1: seemed to deserve to me. And then when we get
- 8:11Speaker 1: to the third of these three episodes and Lufy going
- 8:14Speaker 1: up against Monette and the way that speech comes to
- 8:18Speaker 1: mind and pushes him through. I found that really gratifying, because,
- 8:22Speaker 1: like I said, I wasn't totally sure what I was
- 8:26Speaker 1: supposed to get out of it. It felt a little
- 8:29Speaker 1: bit like, yeah, that's all well and good to say,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but so what And this was I for this moment
- 8:37Speaker 1: was very much like, Ah, Okay, there it is. That's
- 8:41Speaker 1: what we have been waiting to see, is the moment
- 8:44Speaker 1: where Lufy is like on the edge of being taken
- 8:47Speaker 1: down and it gives him the strength to push through
- 8:51Speaker 1: and get back up again. So I'm ahead of myself,
- 8:57Speaker 1: as I so often am. Let's go back to a
- 8:59Speaker 1: fierce battle gets heated Loofy versus Caesar, And uh, it's
- 9:06Speaker 1: really great, you guys, because the last episode ended with
- 9:09Speaker 1: Lufy just punching Caesar in the face. So as this
- 9:13Speaker 1: one begins, Loofy is still continuing to come at Caesar,
- 9:19Speaker 1: And at first he had landed that one punch at
- 9:23Speaker 1: the end of the last episode, and I was sort
- 9:25Speaker 1: of like, oh shit, is he just gonna like be
- 9:27Speaker 1: able to beat the shit out of this guy all
- 9:29Speaker 1: of a sudden, But no, that one punch lands and
- 9:33Speaker 1: then when we begin here, Caesar is doing all of
- 9:36Speaker 1: this stuff where he's like lighting gas on fire you guys.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I could not believe when this motherfucker asks Loofy, what
- 9:49Speaker 1: is your reason for attacking me? Are you fucking high?
- 9:56Speaker 1: And Lufy is just like, uh cause you tried to
- 10:00Speaker 1: to kill me and my friends and a bunch of
- 10:03Speaker 1: other people. I was like, okay, yeah, thank you, Like
- 10:06Speaker 1: it was such a weirdly effective gas lighting moment. I
- 10:11Speaker 1: was just like the what do you mean why? And
- 10:16Speaker 1: Lufy then says, also, something cool is supposed to happen
- 10:20Speaker 1: if I capture you. I don't know what that means exactly.
- 10:25Speaker 1: If he's saying that, like capturing you will trigger an
- 10:30Speaker 1: effect of your abilities or I will get something out
- 10:36Speaker 1: of it as a reward. I'm not really sure what
- 10:39Speaker 1: he means by that, but I will say that I
- 10:44Speaker 1: like the fact that Caesar instantly knows that you must
- 10:48Speaker 1: have thrown in with Law. I have to assume this
- 10:54Speaker 1: is like a triggering of some kind of weird deal
- 10:58Speaker 1: with his logia type. I don't, that's just my guess.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It's like, this is some information that only Law has
- 11:05Speaker 1: about the way that things work with Caesar's power, and
- 11:10Speaker 1: I may be wrong about that, but it's just sort
- 11:12Speaker 1: of the impression that I got. Caesar says, trusting in
- 11:19Speaker 1: him is an act of foolishness. Take it from my experience.
- 11:22Speaker 1: He will betray you, which is just so funny because
- 11:26Speaker 1: Caesar really seems to be under the impression that Law
- 11:29Speaker 1: is just out here like betraying genuine alliances and stuff.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And it's like, dude, you guys were never really on
- 11:39Speaker 1: the same side because you were doing psycho shit. And
- 11:42Speaker 1: I was just so puzzled as to why Law would
- 11:47Speaker 1: be working with somebody who did this shit. And it
- 11:49Speaker 1: turns out there's a whole other something up. I should
- 11:54Speaker 1: point out also here, we still don't know what it
- 11:57Speaker 1: is that Robin was sent to do. So that's something
- 11:59Speaker 1: that has been on my mind as well, is just
- 12:01Speaker 1: what was it that goofy sent Robin to handle? And
- 12:08Speaker 1: I can't like, there's this this Sad is the name,
- 12:17Speaker 1: you know, it just looks like it says sad. There's
- 12:19Speaker 1: no like periods between the letters when you actually see
- 12:22Speaker 1: the thing. But Sad is what we keep calling this
- 12:27Speaker 1: particular weapon that Law is apparently going after and I
- 12:34Speaker 1: am not, like, obviously I don't know what this weapon is.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I know that it probably has something to do with
- 12:41Speaker 1: how Law wants to take down some of the are
- 12:47Speaker 1: the emperors. I'm trying to remember what the official title
- 12:50Speaker 1: is of the New World. So clearly, whatever it is
- 12:56Speaker 1: that he is up to, I have to assume it's
- 13:00Speaker 1: to that. And I like, is that something that Lufy
- 13:07Speaker 1: sent Robin to do something about? Like, whoa, what would
- 13:12Speaker 1: that even be? Because the reaction. I'm sorry guys that
- 13:18Speaker 1: I'm jumping around so much here, but a lot of
- 13:20Speaker 1: things are sort of linked to other things here, which
- 13:23Speaker 1: is part of what's making this so much more fun
- 13:26Speaker 1: of an arc. You know that there's like little mysteries
- 13:29Speaker 1: built in stuff that I couldn't have predicted. But if
- 13:38Speaker 1: the way that we saw Vigo react to finding out,
- 13:43Speaker 1: oh wait, Law isn't here. If he's not here, that
- 13:49Speaker 1: means he's trying to get at this other thing, and
- 13:52Speaker 1: Virgo seems genuinely kind of like shit, you know, like
- 13:57Speaker 1: it's a bit of a panic moment. It seemed like
- 13:59Speaker 1: to me, if what could cause Vigo to have that reaction,
- 14:10Speaker 1: what's something that could have an effect serious enough that
- 14:14Speaker 1: Vigo begins to kind of a little bit panic because y'all,
- 14:22Speaker 1: he wasn't panicking at all about the weapon that Caesar
- 14:26Speaker 1: clown is himself creating, and that seemed pretty fucking bad.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So if this weapon didn't cause him to bat an eyelash,
- 14:40Speaker 1: whatever it is that Caesar is about or that Law
- 14:44Speaker 1: is about to go after, either it's way way worse,
- 14:50Speaker 1: like a lot more powerful somehow. But I have a
- 14:56Speaker 1: hard time believing that's exactly it. What it seems to
- 15:02Speaker 1: me is that we're getting like a this is this
- 15:09Speaker 1: weapon is going to be something that fucks with the
- 15:12Speaker 1: power structure of things more. And I've got to be honest,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I don't have any idea what that could be, but
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's the only thing that I could imagine making Virgo
- 15:30Speaker 1: more worried than a bomb that can end all life
- 15:35Speaker 1: on an entire island. Like what Caesar has created and
- 15:39Speaker 1: dispatched here is essentially a new like that can be undone.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I imagine eventually turning everybody from stone back to people again.
- 15:49Speaker 1: As of right now, we don't know that it can
- 15:51Speaker 1: be undone, but like, come on, of course it can
- 15:54Speaker 1: be undone. This is one piece, so I'm just sort
- 15:57Speaker 1: of going with that as a nuke as of right now,
- 16:02Speaker 1: because we don't know a way to undo it. And
- 16:05Speaker 1: if we're looking at it like that, this is very serious.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So what could possibly be more worrisome than that? I
- 16:17Speaker 1: can't imagine. What's something that can like shift the power
- 16:21Speaker 1: structure up and even like, the only thing that I
- 16:24Speaker 1: could imagine really for that would fulfill this sort of
- 16:28Speaker 1: requirement to be a real threat. All I can imagine
- 16:34Speaker 1: is some kind of like piece of information, for example,
- 16:38Speaker 1: a videotape of like a clandestine meeting of some of
- 16:46Speaker 1: the big wigs and them talking about the way that
- 16:51Speaker 1: you know, they're cackling over how they run the world.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I don't know, And it just doesn't really make sense
- 16:59Speaker 1: because we're in this like what we are in a lab?
- 17:06Speaker 1: Why would something like that be kept in a lab
- 17:11Speaker 1: in a big tank? So the other thing I'm thinking
- 17:17Speaker 1: of is like, is it possible that this is all
- 17:22Speaker 1: some like a big tank full of devil fruits that
- 17:26Speaker 1: we're gonna bust out all these fruits and give them
- 17:29Speaker 1: to all the the straw hats. Honestly, I wish I
- 17:34Speaker 1: hadn't thought of that, because I love that idea so
- 17:37Speaker 1: much if it like that's the only thing that I
- 17:39Speaker 1: can imagine is what if this is something that we
- 17:41Speaker 1: could give all the straw hats magical powers. That sounds fantastic,
- 17:51Speaker 1: And I don't, Yeah, that doesn't seem that doesn't really
- 17:57Speaker 1: like feel like it would make sense for all of
- 17:59Speaker 1: that to be located in one place on this island.
- 18:03Speaker 1: So I just can't imagine that's correct either. But I
- 18:11Speaker 1: don't know, you guys, I'm just I really don't know.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And again, I only believe that Vigo would care if
- 18:22Speaker 1: it were something that we're going to mess up the
- 18:24Speaker 1: current power structure, because Vigo is probably going to look
- 18:29Speaker 1: to preserve that because he seems very much like a
- 18:31Speaker 1: person who is out for number one primarily, So I
- 18:36Speaker 1: don't know what could make him that anxious. You know,
- 18:40Speaker 1: I really don't have any ideas on this. It's sort
- 18:43Speaker 1: of it's kind of great. I enjoy not being able
- 18:45Speaker 1: to come up with anything here. So anyway, I'm going
- 18:51Speaker 1: to jump around a little bit here. We have the
- 18:54Speaker 1: fight between Sanji and Vigo, and Vigo like really goes
- 19:00Speaker 1: for Sanji in a moment that is I kind of
- 19:04Speaker 1: love that he stands up, and Soanji just gets this
- 19:07Speaker 1: expression on his face like, oh shit, like I really
- 19:12Speaker 1: woke up the fucking you know, woke the dragon now.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And the gas is like right behind them, billowing into
- 19:22Speaker 1: the room, and all of these other marines who are
- 19:26Speaker 1: truly startled at the fact that a straw hat has
- 19:32Speaker 1: thrown in for them. They're watching Sanji fight this guy
- 19:37Speaker 1: allegedly on their behalf. Now. Sanji repeatedly tells them this
- 19:42Speaker 1: is not about you. If you could get me a
- 19:44Speaker 1: little kiss from Tashigi, I might be grateful, but I
- 19:49Speaker 1: don't want to hear y'all's thanks, because who gives a shit.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm not doing this for you. He is so disdainful
- 19:55Speaker 1: of them. I was like, Sanji, you could chill out
- 19:59Speaker 1: like a little bit, you could just be a little
- 20:02Speaker 1: bit less rude, like outright rude. But no, he's in
- 20:09Speaker 1: that headspace right now. And these dudes are watching Sanji
- 20:14Speaker 1: fight as the doors are closing and about to lock
- 20:18Speaker 1: him in with Vigo and all of this gas, And
- 20:23Speaker 1: basically what happens is there's an announcement about how law
- 20:28Speaker 1: is in a certain section of the lab. Vigo stands
- 20:32Speaker 1: up and it's just like wait, what realizes some shit's
- 20:35Speaker 1: going on, and that essentially what has happened is that
- 20:39Speaker 1: the straw Hats have all been sent to distract him
- 20:42Speaker 1: so that Law could go and do his own thing.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Which it's funny because, like when he first heard the
- 20:48Speaker 1: or surmise that all of the straw Hats and the
- 20:53Speaker 1: Marines and whatnot that were in that cage were out,
- 20:57Speaker 1: the first thing Vigo says is, well, I don't really
- 21:00Speaker 1: like the fact that Law is out there, so I
- 21:03Speaker 1: probably am going to have to go deal with this
- 21:05Speaker 1: guy myself. And yet despite saying that to himself, evidently
- 21:11Speaker 1: he did no such thing and just you know, did
- 21:16Speaker 1: let himself get distracted, which is kind of embarrassing considering
- 21:20Speaker 1: how much it seemed like his initial instinct was, uh, oh,
- 21:26Speaker 1: that's bad news, and then he just like forgot about it.
- 21:31Speaker 1: But he just takes off and leaves sanjy. So it's
- 21:37Speaker 1: not like Sanji won the fight or anything. Sanji just
- 21:41Speaker 1: gets abandoned for bigger, badder prey and Sanji is able
- 21:48Speaker 1: to get out in time. It's sort of unclear to
- 21:52Speaker 1: me exactly how he does this, because you guys, the
- 21:56Speaker 1: Marines are all like watching him trying to be like, dude,
- 21:59Speaker 1: come out, the doors are closing, are gonna be locked
- 22:02Speaker 1: in with the gas? We see the doors close, Sanji
- 22:06Speaker 1: turns and all of these dudes are like passed out
- 22:09Speaker 1: on the ground, having already been got by the gas.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I am not entirely sure how they got got and
- 22:17Speaker 1: Sanji didn't because they are behind him and like near
- 22:20Speaker 1: to the door, I thought, but it doesn't matter in
- 22:25Speaker 1: whatever the case. The doors, it seemed, are already closed.
- 22:32Speaker 1: And when Sanji comes out and he's carrying those like
- 22:35Speaker 1: passed out dudes under each arm, what it looks like
- 22:40Speaker 1: to me is like he just jumped over the wall
- 22:45Speaker 1: and that can't be right, right, Like the gas would
- 22:52Speaker 1: be able to come into this part of the lab
- 22:55Speaker 1: if there were just an opening like above the door,
- 23:00Speaker 1: or that wouldn't That doesn't make sense. So I don't
- 23:05Speaker 1: understand exactly how he got away. I must have missed something.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I don't know. But if anybody out there has their
- 23:13Speaker 1: you know, ideas or actual facts on this, do let
- 23:17Speaker 1: me know, because I am curious. So all right, let's go, Graham,
- 23:22Speaker 1: bounce back a little bit here, because this fucking dragon
- 23:28Speaker 1: is still chasing our friends and you guys. I'm gonna
- 23:31Speaker 1: just sort of summarize y'all know how I feel already
- 23:35Speaker 1: about this poor dragon getting beat up on. I didn't
- 23:39Speaker 1: like the dragon turning into a bad guy at all.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I was enjoying our silly, little mischievous, bad guy dragon,
- 23:47Speaker 1: but I didn't want him to get his ass kicked.
- 23:50Speaker 1: And then it's not just that he gets like attacked
- 23:53Speaker 1: by our guys and taken down, but we have this
- 23:56Speaker 1: prolonged bit where the samurai is kicking him over and
- 24:00Speaker 1: over again, and I just I haven't loved the Samuraimos mostly,
- 24:06Speaker 1: and this made me like outright dislike him and just
- 24:09Speaker 1: be like, dude, what the fuck? And then eventually we
- 24:13Speaker 1: get some information that basically is hinting this dragon used
- 24:22Speaker 1: to be a little kid. Now. I don't know about y'all,
- 24:31Speaker 1: this was disturbing to me, like really genuinely, I was like,
- 24:35Speaker 1: hold on, I already don't like the dragon as a
- 24:41Speaker 1: cute little animal getting beaten up, but then you cross
- 24:45Speaker 1: a line and make it so that this adorable creature
- 24:50Speaker 1: used to be a human child that like got experimented
- 24:55Speaker 1: on or did something wrong the way the little girl
- 24:58Speaker 1: describes it later on, to the two guards, is he
- 25:02Speaker 1: went into the room, the secret room that nobody is
- 25:06Speaker 1: allowed in and turned into a dragon. So she makes
- 25:09Speaker 1: it sort of sound like this guy was somewhere he
- 25:14Speaker 1: wasn't supposed to be and there was an effect on
- 25:19Speaker 1: him that wasn't intentionally like performed. It sounds like we did,
- 25:29Speaker 1: like this thing happened to him because he was in
- 25:32Speaker 1: the wrong place. He was somewhere that he shouldn't have been. Now,
- 25:40Speaker 1: I am not sture. It seems to me like we're
- 25:46Speaker 1: hinting at the end of these three episodes when we
- 25:50Speaker 1: see Caesar clown in this like weird room about to
- 25:54Speaker 1: do something that he keeps being like, you guys pushed
- 25:57Speaker 1: me and I'm gonna, you know, take this to the
- 25:59Speaker 1: next level. My thought has been, is he about to
- 26:03Speaker 1: turn himself into a dragon? I don't really know what
- 26:08Speaker 1: kind of advantage that would give him. It feels like
- 26:10Speaker 1: currently his logia type power that's quite strong enough. I
- 26:16Speaker 1: don't know that being a dragon is more effective or
- 26:21Speaker 1: intimidating than just being doing what he is, so I
- 26:28Speaker 1: may be wrong about that. But the thing with the
- 26:31Speaker 1: kid and him turning into a dragon, it's sort of
- 26:33Speaker 1: like unclear to me. Is this a purposeful experiment that
- 26:42Speaker 1: was done explicitly to this kid or was this something
- 26:46Speaker 1: that has been being worked on in a sort of
- 26:49Speaker 1: theoretical sense and then this kid walked into it and
- 26:56Speaker 1: there had not been the intention of doing to him.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And I'll freely admit me kind of even asking this
- 27:06Speaker 1: question is clinging a little bit to wishing that things
- 27:11Speaker 1: weren't as bad as they look, because it's obvious already
- 27:16Speaker 1: that we have been doing experiments on these kids to
- 27:19Speaker 1: make them way bigger. There's already been stuff done to them,
- 27:23Speaker 1: the drug that they have been fed, like, clearly these
- 27:27Speaker 1: are not we have not been worried about the welfare
- 27:32Speaker 1: of these children. So I don't know why I'm trying
- 27:36Speaker 1: to make excuses as to why him being turned into
- 27:39Speaker 1: a dragon might not even be what we meant to
- 27:41Speaker 1: have happened. Or maybe it's not as bad as it
- 27:45Speaker 1: sounds like already we have plenty that's as bad as
- 27:49Speaker 1: it sounds. But I guess there's just something in me
- 27:52Speaker 1: that wants this to be like a mistake. I don't know.
- 27:58Speaker 1: But anyway, all this to say, if this dragon that
- 28:03Speaker 1: we have just watched getting beaten up by this man
- 28:09Speaker 1: is actually a little boy. I am going to feel
- 28:14Speaker 1: quite a way about it. I don't mind telling y'all
- 28:17Speaker 1: it's gonna be like I don't I genuinely don't know,
- 28:27Speaker 1: short of just turning him back from a dragon into
- 28:29Speaker 1: a little boy, which maybe that will be possible. But
- 28:35Speaker 1: I just feel so bad for him, And I have
- 28:37Speaker 1: always had this knee jerk reaction to whenever like the
- 28:40Speaker 1: animal characters in this show get hurt that fighting out
- 28:44Speaker 1: this had been a person at one point is now
- 28:47Speaker 1: going to make me so fucking paranoid every time he
- 28:50Speaker 1: come across another animal that is being mistreated. I'm going
- 28:54Speaker 1: to be so much more up in my feelings even
- 28:57Speaker 1: than I already was. And we don't need that. Nobody
- 29:00Speaker 1: needed me to be even more reactive to this than
- 29:03Speaker 1: I have been. I fully recognize the way I react
- 29:08Speaker 1: to it hasn't been reasonable to begin with, so I
- 29:12Speaker 1: don't like knowing that from here on out, I'm going
- 29:15Speaker 1: to be even more concerned. But I just wanted to
- 29:18Speaker 1: give you all a heads up about it, because that's
- 29:19Speaker 1: how I'm feeling. So anyway, this fight between Lufy and Caesar,
- 29:28Speaker 1: the whole fight kind of eventually turns into well, I'm
- 29:36Speaker 1: I have bigger fish to fry because Law is about
- 29:38Speaker 1: to head for this thing, so I'm gonna take off.
- 29:41Speaker 1: He basically does the same thing to Lufy that Virago
- 29:44Speaker 1: does to Sangi, and as Lufi tries to follow him,
- 29:51Speaker 1: Monet jumps in and is like, no, no, no, You're
- 29:55Speaker 1: not going to follow him, and she says, Joker would
- 30:00Speaker 1: kill me if I allowed that. And when she says this,
- 30:06Speaker 1: we jump to the moment where, you know, the announcement
- 30:11Speaker 1: happens about how Law got into this other part of
- 30:14Speaker 1: the lab. YadA, YadA, YadA, And then we go into
- 30:18Speaker 1: the next episode and you guys, I don't even know
- 30:22Speaker 1: what to make of this. There's this whole thing with
- 30:27Speaker 1: Joker aka Do Flamingo just lounging by a pool. He's
- 30:36Speaker 1: evidently just having a little chat with Vigo from inside
- 30:40Speaker 1: the building. I want to mention too, Virgo is flying
- 30:46Speaker 1: through the air. Now. We had that whole title last section,
- 30:53Speaker 1: Demon Bamboo Virgo, and I said, then, I have not
- 30:59Speaker 1: seen this demon Bamboo thing. What is this? And I
- 31:04Speaker 1: was waiting for it in this section and we still
- 31:07Speaker 1: don't see it. I don't like we've seen him use hockey,
- 31:13Speaker 1: but as for that kind of ability like something specific
- 31:17Speaker 1: to bamboo, I'm not getting it. And then here we
- 31:23Speaker 1: see him literally flying through the air and he's sort
- 31:26Speaker 1: of like it almost looks like he's using like a
- 31:31Speaker 1: pogo stick in mid air. It's like he does a
- 31:34Speaker 1: sort of crouch motion and then straightens and it propels him.
- 31:40Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's supposed to be that
- 31:43Speaker 1: this is just an effect of hockey that he is
- 31:47Speaker 1: managing to do this through that the way that Sanji
- 31:49Speaker 1: can like walk on air using hockey, I'm assuming, which
- 31:54Speaker 1: was not like I already said, the fact that Sanji
- 31:58Speaker 1: was able to use hockey didn't feel super clear to
- 32:01Speaker 1: me anyway, because I already when it was mentioned that
- 32:05Speaker 1: both Sanji and Zorro could use it, I was sort
- 32:09Speaker 1: of like, wait, oh, they can. It's sort of hard
- 32:12Speaker 1: for me to tell what is hockey and what is
- 32:15Speaker 1: just them being able to do bonker superhuman stuff, because
- 32:18Speaker 1: low key, they've always been able to do bonkers superhuman stuff.
- 32:23Speaker 1: The things that Zoro has been able to do have
- 32:27Speaker 1: been sort of handwaved as like, oh, yeah, well, you
- 32:30Speaker 1: know that's a swordsman for you, and I'm like, no,
- 32:33Speaker 1: it's not. That's not what being a swordsman is. That's magic.
- 32:37Speaker 1: So I get very fuzzy on what I'm supposed to
- 32:42Speaker 1: see as actual hockey and what is just having incredible
- 32:48Speaker 1: skill in this one particular area. So I don't know
- 32:52Speaker 1: if this that he is doing is part of hockey,
- 32:56Speaker 1: if it's part of like a devil fruit power. If
- 32:59Speaker 1: it is, I don't don't know what the fuck the
- 33:00Speaker 1: bamboo thing has to do with it. I'm wondering if
- 33:03Speaker 1: like the demon bamboo thing is part of a different,
- 33:07Speaker 1: like a weird translation issue, I don't know, or maybe
- 33:12Speaker 1: it's the sort of thing where like, if you've read
- 33:15Speaker 1: the manga, you know that he has this bamboo power.
- 33:18Speaker 1: And so this is just being said very matter of
- 33:21Speaker 1: factly here even though we don't actually have the information yet.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I don't know. But anyway, Vigo is heading over there,
- 33:30Speaker 1: and then we have this like Dol Flamingo talking to
- 33:32Speaker 1: him pool side, and what's going on with Dol Flamingo
- 33:35Speaker 1: is so weird. So we get to see like this
- 33:37Speaker 1: sun drenched paradise that he is currently in, which like
- 33:41Speaker 1: compared to where our friends are, it's just very unfair,
- 33:46Speaker 1: and it's it's definitely giving. Like mob Boss, you know,
- 33:51Speaker 1: he's sitting on the edge of the pool and he's
- 33:53Speaker 1: got his henchman gathered around him for protection. And then
- 33:57Speaker 1: otherwise than those three dudes, it's all gorgeous women lounging
- 34:02Speaker 1: in bikinis in the pool, except for one little girl
- 34:07Speaker 1: that is sitting beside him, and she's got this weird
- 34:11Speaker 1: sort of monocle going on, and she's eating berries that
- 34:15Speaker 1: she has stuck on her fingers the way that you
- 34:17Speaker 1: would do with like raspberries when you were a little kid.
- 34:22Speaker 1: So yeah, do Flamingo. He's getting told about the fact
- 34:26Speaker 1: that this dude who had been on his side is
- 34:29Speaker 1: going after Sad and he's just basically like, wow, that's
- 34:33Speaker 1: gratitude for you. So he made it all the way
- 34:36Speaker 1: to the manufacturing room. As he's saying this, a woman
- 34:43Speaker 1: bursts through the plate glass window. She is labeled Baby
- 34:50Speaker 1: five in the subject or the subtitles, and she is
- 34:55Speaker 1: wearing a dark magenta may outfit, but she's outfitted with
- 35:04Speaker 1: a what looks to be a samurai sword a rifle,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and it looks like one arm is a shotgun. And
- 35:19Speaker 1: she comes and just like lands on the arms of
- 35:26Speaker 1: Doe Flamingo's seat and has this barrel of this gun
- 35:32Speaker 1: pointed right at his head. Do Flamingo has absolutely no
- 35:41Speaker 1: reaction to this whatsoever, You guys, I had no idea
- 35:48Speaker 1: what to make of this, and I will say, like,
- 35:51Speaker 1: by the end of this, we don't really get a
- 35:55Speaker 1: good explanation, or I say, good, we don't get any explanation.
- 35:59Speaker 1: She keeps talking about how he's making a mockery of
- 36:03Speaker 1: her love. But I'm not sure if it's supposed to
- 36:09Speaker 1: be that, like because she's labeled baby five, Is it
- 36:12Speaker 1: meant to be that she's his fifth girlfriend? But she
- 36:16Speaker 1: didn't know that he had other girlfriends? Is it that
- 36:19Speaker 1: she's about to like that he's going to hurt Law
- 36:23Speaker 1: and she is romantically involved with Trafalgar Law And so
- 36:27Speaker 1: she's overhearing this plan and she's upset about it. She's
- 36:34Speaker 1: like smoking and crying at the same time, and she
- 36:38Speaker 1: pulls the trigger on this shotgun that's in his face.
- 36:42Speaker 1: There's this huge explosion. Dope Flamingo doesn't even pause in
- 36:47Speaker 1: his conversation. We see that the whole couch has been
- 36:50Speaker 1: blown away. He is lying flat on his back, but
- 36:53Speaker 1: he is unhurt. There's clouds of smoke and everything, but
- 36:59Speaker 1: it doesn't seem to have done anything. You guys, I
- 37:01Speaker 1: don't understand weapons in this universe. I really don't like
- 37:06Speaker 1: why bother having rifles and stuff? If nobody can die?
- 37:12Speaker 1: Who cares? This is stupid, I don't you know. And
- 37:17Speaker 1: then she says something about him making a mockery of
- 37:20Speaker 1: her love. Her arm turns into these giant blades and
- 37:26Speaker 1: she comes at him again, trying to like slice him up.
- 37:30Speaker 1: I guess do. Flamingo is like he is the only
- 37:34Speaker 1: one who can make sad. That's what he says. I'm
- 37:38Speaker 1: gonna read this, make sure, bastard, how could you do
- 37:40Speaker 1: this to my love? I'm assuming this has to be
- 37:43Speaker 1: about law, right, because the thing is do this to
- 37:49Speaker 1: my love could be taken more than one way. It
- 37:52Speaker 1: could be Trafalgar law is my love and you are
- 37:57Speaker 1: doing this thing to him? That could be one. It
- 38:01Speaker 1: could also be how can you do this to my love?
- 38:07Speaker 1: I loved you and you disregarded it by cheating on me.
- 38:11Speaker 1: You took my love for granted? Do you know what
- 38:14Speaker 1: I'm saying? Like, there's a couple ways that you could
- 38:17Speaker 1: take it so I truly don't know like what way
- 38:24Speaker 1: I'm meant to take it, and I'm going with the
- 38:32Speaker 1: meaning that I think is the most likely, which is
- 38:35Speaker 1: that it's about killing Trafalgar. But I will be honest,
- 38:41Speaker 1: initially I did think it was about her love for
- 38:45Speaker 1: Do Flamingo. Yeah, he's the only one who can make
- 38:51Speaker 1: sad or rather, he's the only one who even knows
- 38:55Speaker 1: how frankly, if law is able to pull that off,
- 39:00Speaker 1: and we've got a big problem ver Go. So one
- 39:05Speaker 1: of his henchmen shoots Baby five in the arm, and
- 39:10Speaker 1: he continues on talking about how this is my business.
- 39:13Speaker 1: If this drives up, people are going to be angry.
- 39:17Speaker 1: His other henchman, who is this giant, blonde bearded like
- 39:24Speaker 1: I don't even I don't even know what to call him.
- 39:27Speaker 1: He's wearing this weird hat like he's a train conductor
- 39:30Speaker 1: or something. He's like, what are you doing, Baby five?
- 39:35Speaker 1: You should be glad. He's so forgiving, and she just says,
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill him with my own two hands. You
- 39:41Speaker 1: can't stop me. This is the last straw. So yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 1: she is continuing, and Do Flamingo is saying, my misfortune
- 39:53Speaker 1: is going to be his next. Then we have like
- 39:56Speaker 1: the shadows of some people talking. I think that this
- 40:00Speaker 1: this might be big Ma, who was like the candy addict,
- 40:02Speaker 1: but I might be wrong. She's in such heavy shadow
- 40:06Speaker 1: and she's saying, poor Law, that adorable little scamp, young master,
- 40:10Speaker 1: whatever are you going to do to him? And then
- 40:15Speaker 1: loo Gie says, you know very well Law will get
- 40:20Speaker 1: exactly what he deserves, that traitor. I don't think we
- 40:24Speaker 1: know who Loujie is. I know the name because it's
- 40:26Speaker 1: in the subtitle, but I am not sure exactly like
- 40:32Speaker 1: who these two people are here, So just you know,
- 40:37Speaker 1: saying the names. I don't want to get more credit
- 40:39Speaker 1: than I'm due, as if I'm aware what role these
- 40:42Speaker 1: characters are playing. And then the scene sort of wraps
- 40:48Speaker 1: with Do Flamingo saying to Vergo, this is so funny,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you guys. He says, I want you to make his
- 40:58Speaker 1: death as like grow some and painful as possible, and
- 41:04Speaker 1: Vergo says, no problem, I'll take a picture and send
- 41:08Speaker 1: it to you. Do you remember that camera I'm always using?
- 41:12Speaker 1: And Don Flamingo says, what the hell are you talking about?
- 41:15Speaker 1: You don't have a camera, And he says, oh right, actually,
- 41:19Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever taken a single photo in
- 41:21Speaker 1: my life. You guys, this character trait is strange. I vigo,
- 41:29Speaker 1: what a strange character. Meanwhile, Baby five is continuing to
- 41:35Speaker 1: come after him. She turned one arm into a a
- 41:38Speaker 1: an axe. She turned the one finger into like a pistol.
- 41:44Speaker 1: So as she's trying to come at him, dop Flamingo
- 41:48Speaker 1: is just like over his shoulder, motioning, and he makes
- 41:53Speaker 1: her hand go up to her own temple with that
- 41:59Speaker 1: pistol tip and basically forces her to shoot herself in
- 42:04Speaker 1: the head. I mean, that is a fucked up thing,
- 42:10Speaker 1: you guys, that he was able to do this. I
- 42:13Speaker 1: And granted again, these weapons don't kill people, so she's
- 42:19Speaker 1: probably fine, you know, but it just the imagery of
- 42:24Speaker 1: him forcing her hand up to her own head, that
- 42:28Speaker 1: is just a really fucked up thing to watch see
- 42:31Speaker 1: any time that you have like a character who can
- 42:34Speaker 1: force people to do to themselves a terrible thing. That
- 42:37Speaker 1: was part of what made the Purple Man in Jessica
- 42:41Speaker 1: Jones so incredibly scary. He was one of the most
- 42:46Speaker 1: terrifying villains I think I've ever seen. That was part
- 42:50Speaker 1: of it, that this was stuff people were doing to themselves,
- 42:53Speaker 1: you know. So anyway, meanwhile, all of this is happening,
- 43:00Speaker 1: and what Money herself is working on is keeping Lufy
- 43:05Speaker 1: distracted so that he can't go after Caesar. I should
- 43:09Speaker 1: mention too that Money just has this little tick where
- 43:12Speaker 1: she just licks her lips all the time and it's
- 43:14Speaker 1: very off putting. So she grabs up loofy using snow.
- 43:19Speaker 1: She's apparently eaten the snow snow fruit and at first
- 43:25Speaker 1: she kind of uses snow as like tentacles to wrap
- 43:29Speaker 1: around him, and she seems truly surprised at the fact
- 43:34Speaker 1: that he is able to break out of that. But
- 43:37Speaker 1: when he goes to punch her, she can just turn
- 43:40Speaker 1: into snow. It's like, you know, there's a point later
- 43:44Speaker 1: where she keeps turning in and out of snow, and
- 43:48Speaker 1: I sort of thought that she was making copies of
- 43:51Speaker 1: herself with snow, because I had forgotten that she can
- 43:55Speaker 1: become snow and then you know, like turns solid again.
- 44:01Speaker 1: So she wasn't making copies of herself. She was just
- 44:03Speaker 1: doing the uh. She was just I guess, just forming
- 44:10Speaker 1: and reforming around him, and it's really kind of creepy looking.
- 44:16Speaker 1: But what she does eventually because he's able to break
- 44:20Speaker 1: through her snow without too terribly much trouble, she decides
- 44:25Speaker 1: that she's going to make an igloo around him, and
- 44:29Speaker 1: even as he's breaking through one of them, she can
- 44:32Speaker 1: make a new one around him fairly quickly and eventually
- 44:36Speaker 1: makes one that's like ten layers deep, so that all
- 44:42Speaker 1: the energy that he puts into breaking one of the
- 44:46Speaker 1: igloos apart, there's still nine more layers to go, and
- 44:50Speaker 1: it tires him out. So this was a kind of
- 44:54Speaker 1: a weird power, but I thought it worked pretty well. Eventually.
- 44:59Speaker 1: What she does is she you know, uses her body,
- 45:05Speaker 1: her form of turning into snow, wraps her arms around
- 45:10Speaker 1: him and holds onto him to basically send him into hypothermia.
- 45:17Speaker 1: And she does that thing where she's like, it's the
- 45:23Speaker 1: cold is going to make you like slow down and
- 45:27Speaker 1: get really sleepy, and then she does the whole like
- 45:32Speaker 1: just give into it, don't fight it, you know, that
- 45:35Speaker 1: whole thing, and like it's genuinely a little disturbing because
- 45:42Speaker 1: that is supposedly how it does go with hypothermia is
- 45:47Speaker 1: that it can feel like going to sleep. It seems
- 45:50Speaker 1: like there's sort of a couple ways that it could go.
- 45:54Speaker 1: I know as well that a lot of people who
- 45:56Speaker 1: get hypothermic are discovered naked, because the last thing that
- 46:01Speaker 1: can happen to your body is that the censors get overwhelmed, essentially,
- 46:07Speaker 1: and your body starts to confuse extreme cold with extreme heat,
- 46:11Speaker 1: so you begin to think that you're overheating, and you
- 46:14Speaker 1: take off all your clothes trying to cool off, because
- 46:17Speaker 1: you don't realize that you are actually freezing to death.
- 46:24Speaker 1: But that is the point where Lufy kind of remembers
- 46:30Speaker 1: the speech that Zorro gave about guys, we can't be
- 46:36Speaker 1: like playing this the way we have been anymore. This
- 46:40Speaker 1: shit is serious, and it is time for us to
- 46:43Speaker 1: get serious with it. And we're in the new world now,
- 46:50Speaker 1: time to play for keeps. So he just as it
- 46:56Speaker 1: seems like he is about to completely pass out and
- 47:00Speaker 1: then probably eventually frees to death, just as that is happening,
- 47:05Speaker 1: his eyes shoot open and he breaks through. Instead of
- 47:11Speaker 1: going upward, he breaks through the floor underneath him, and
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to get to the spot because she says
- 47:20Speaker 1: something about where it is that he is heading, since
- 47:23Speaker 1: he's going straight down, and her like assessment is basically
- 47:31Speaker 1: he has dug his own grave by going downwards, so
- 47:34Speaker 1: it doesn't matter anyway, and she just leaves him. She
- 47:39Speaker 1: walks away and doesn't concern himself herself with it. Here
- 47:42Speaker 1: it is that Tumble is going to land him in
- 47:45Speaker 1: the trash chute, which leads straight to the garbage dump
- 47:48Speaker 1: that's deep underground. That's what it is. He won't be
- 47:52Speaker 1: able to make it up here again unless he can fly.
- 47:55Speaker 1: He dug his own graves, so to speak. M so long.
- 48:01Speaker 1: I just want to make a note here that the
- 48:04Speaker 1: trash shoot the word shoot, it's the wrong one. They
- 48:07Speaker 1: use the word shoot for shooting a gun instead of
- 48:10Speaker 1: c hut for that kind of shoot. And I don't
- 48:14Speaker 1: know why, but I just find it funny to find
- 48:16Speaker 1: that kind of typo in the subtitles. But yeah, so
- 48:23Speaker 1: it's it's kind of funny because what we're what I'm
- 48:26Speaker 1: seeing is like the pattern here is our friends not
- 48:31Speaker 1: necessarily being like crushed by their enemies the way they
- 48:35Speaker 1: maybe should be. It's just the enemies getting distracted or
- 48:39Speaker 1: thinking things are over for another reason and leaving. And
- 48:44Speaker 1: this is the way we're sustaining that they can they
- 48:48Speaker 1: like are these are formidable people that probably could have
- 48:56Speaker 1: beaten them if they had been forced to finish the fight,
- 49:03Speaker 1: but because we didn't have to finish the fight, because
- 49:06Speaker 1: they had something somewhere else to go, something else to do.
- 49:10Speaker 1: We just have to find a way to break this
- 49:16Speaker 1: up into two parts, and honestly, having Law in the mix,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I think it does this pretty effectively. I really also
- 49:28Speaker 1: kind of enjoy Monet as a character. She's not like
- 49:33Speaker 1: completely fleshed out. Obviously. I've been sort of puzzled at
- 49:36Speaker 1: the way that she was just sitting around and listening
- 49:39Speaker 1: to Caesar and sort of seeming to smirk to herself,
- 49:43Speaker 1: because I was like, she doesn't seem to like this
- 49:47Speaker 1: guy very much, like what And initially my thought when
- 49:53Speaker 1: Vigo shows up was, oh, she's working with Vigo and
- 49:56Speaker 1: doesn't respect Caesar. She is here like on assignment, and
- 50:03Speaker 1: that is why she has sort of acted like Caesar's joke.
- 50:06Speaker 1: But the longer this goes on, the more I'm sort
- 50:09Speaker 1: of like, that doesn't seem right either, because Caesar was
- 50:14Speaker 1: also working with Vigo. They aren't on opposite sides of things,
- 50:20Speaker 1: So why am I like, I think maybe that's just
- 50:24Speaker 1: supposed to be her personality, is that she is unflappable
- 50:29Speaker 1: pun intended because of her wings. But we don't know
- 50:32Speaker 1: how she got her wings either. That's the other thing.
- 50:34Speaker 1: When we have that one flashback, we see that she
- 50:37Speaker 1: didn't have the wings back then, but we don't get
- 50:43Speaker 1: the introduction of when she got them or why. And
- 50:51Speaker 1: it's just kind of odd, like that she has this
- 50:56Speaker 1: snow power, but then she got given legs and wings.
- 51:03Speaker 1: I don't really understand why she needs them. She's out
- 51:06Speaker 1: here flying around like a bird. But if you can
- 51:08Speaker 1: turn into snow, can't you just sort of fly in
- 51:11Speaker 1: your snow form? Why do you even need to? Maybe
- 51:16Speaker 1: it's for like the actual act of fighting that you
- 51:20Speaker 1: need like a solid body, perhaps, But I kind of
- 51:25Speaker 1: expected that we were going to get that storyline about
- 51:28Speaker 1: what happened to her. I just honestly, but I keep thinking,
- 51:31Speaker 1: you guys, is that she isn't really working with Caesar
- 51:39Speaker 1: the way it looks like, because she just seems detached
- 51:44Speaker 1: enough that I keep waiting for there to be this
- 51:49Speaker 1: reveal of her being a trader or having some kind
- 51:54Speaker 1: of ulterior motive, and it's starting to really look like
- 51:58Speaker 1: that's not gonna happen, and that she just has been
- 52:02Speaker 1: detached because I don't know that's just who she is,
- 52:07Speaker 1: but I'm still kind of holding out that there's more
- 52:09Speaker 1: going on with her. All right, So let's talk about
- 52:14Speaker 1: what's going on with Chopper real quick, because Chopper, he's
- 52:18Speaker 1: off with Mocha, and what's going on there is that
- 52:24Speaker 1: Mocha is gonna try and keep the candy away from
- 52:29Speaker 1: the kids because she believes Chopper enough that this candy
- 52:33Speaker 1: is bad for them. And the kids are breaking through
- 52:37Speaker 1: this door. So eventually, when like Zorro and Nammy and
- 52:42Speaker 1: all of them catch up to they're in like an
- 52:46Speaker 1: area where they can see Chopper. They haven't totally like
- 52:49Speaker 1: met up with him yet, and they can see that
- 52:51Speaker 1: Chopper is in like his largest form and he's fighting
- 52:55Speaker 1: these kids, and all of them are sort of like,
- 52:57Speaker 1: what the fuck? Because Chopper fighting the children, it just
- 53:04Speaker 1: doesn't really seem to make sense. You know. Everybody's just
- 53:09Speaker 1: why how is this happening? And Chopper himself, when we
- 53:15Speaker 1: go back to him, these kids are too much for him.
- 53:18Speaker 1: His rumble ball begins to wear off and he's starting
- 53:23Speaker 1: to transform back into himself. And y'all, I will tell
- 53:27Speaker 1: you what I felt so bad for Chopper. I don't
- 53:31Speaker 1: know if it was just like just you know, you
- 53:36Speaker 1: guys know I have such a soft spot for Chopper anyway.
- 53:38Speaker 1: I always want to see him getting a chance to
- 53:41Speaker 1: like fight and show that he is a badass. And
- 53:44Speaker 1: there was just something about the fact that he had
- 53:48Speaker 1: to fight these children that he's trying to help and
- 53:52Speaker 1: was put in this position where he has to do
- 53:55Speaker 1: this already is so sad and like against all his instincts,
- 54:00Speaker 1: I'm sure. But then that he loses, you know, that
- 54:04Speaker 1: they managed to like overwhelm him. I truly hated that.
- 54:09Speaker 1: And then they get past him and they're busting into
- 54:13Speaker 1: the room, but Moca has taken all of the candy
- 54:19Speaker 1: in an effort to keep it away from the rest
- 54:22Speaker 1: of the kids. And I'm trying to find the spot
- 54:25Speaker 1: here because like the kids of course see her with it,
- 54:30Speaker 1: and they're coming at her, and she's trying to yell
- 54:33Speaker 1: at them. Guys, this is going to make you sick.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Just look at what it did to you and all
- 54:39Speaker 1: the other kids. Their eyes are still white. It's not
- 54:42Speaker 1: totally clear to me what exactly has caused her to
- 54:47Speaker 1: be the only one to come back to her senses.
- 54:51Speaker 1: It seems like it seems like it's maybe an accident.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Like the way I was seeing it at first was that, oh,
- 54:59Speaker 1: it's you know, to do with the fact that she
- 55:02Speaker 1: was the first one to go into withdrawals, so she
- 55:05Speaker 1: is the first one to get through it. But the
- 55:09Speaker 1: kids are beginning to like attack her. And at this point, Na,
- 55:14Speaker 1: me and everybody have caught up with Chopper. I believe
- 55:17Speaker 1: it's not me that's carrying Chopper, and he's trying to
- 55:20Speaker 1: like yell instructions and just sort of give Mocha like
- 55:28Speaker 1: motivation to get out of the room. And then all
- 55:31Speaker 1: of a sudden, there's this like a blast of icy air.
- 55:35Speaker 1: The exit gets blocked up with snow. Of course we
- 55:38Speaker 1: know that this is fucking Monet. And then she shows up.
- 55:42Speaker 1: She's like in her weird bird form. She's up there
- 55:47Speaker 1: looking down at the kids, and the kids are ironically
- 55:51Speaker 1: really happy to see her, like this is a good thing.
- 55:55Speaker 1: I'm like, y'all, have you not learned yet? Even Mocha.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Mocha is smiling and saying, Monet, it's you help me, please, Monette,
- 56:06Speaker 1: I mean not money, Mocha. Mone says Mocha, you shouldn't
- 56:11Speaker 1: hog all the candy, be a nice girl and share
- 56:14Speaker 1: it with the others, okay, And Mocha stops and just
- 56:19Speaker 1: says to herself, huh, like she isn't understanding what this
- 56:25Speaker 1: woman is saying. And I'm just how do you not
- 56:29Speaker 1: see that this woman is in on the whole thing.
- 56:32Speaker 1: She's a kid, That's why. But it's just really frustrating
- 56:36Speaker 1: because put two and two together. At this point, Mocha,
- 56:39Speaker 1: everybody who works here is bad. So finally she does
- 56:43Speaker 1: understand and she says, but Monet, why, and Monete just
- 56:49Speaker 1: laughs and licks her lips and stares at her, and
- 56:52Speaker 1: I was just like, girl, what are you doing? Money?
- 56:59Speaker 1: You have so much potential to be like a badass
- 57:03Speaker 1: on your own. Go and do your own fucking thing
- 57:07Speaker 1: and stop working for this lunatic and stop like terrorizing
- 57:11Speaker 1: these actual infant children. What are you you know, Monet,
- 57:17Speaker 1: You're too good for this nonsense. Stop it. So, yeah,
- 57:23Speaker 1: that's the summary of what's going on with Chopper that
- 57:26Speaker 1: hasn't been settled yet, I guess is the way that
- 57:30Speaker 1: I want to put it. And then I'm having the
- 57:34Speaker 1: moment where these subordinates they're talking to each other about
- 57:37Speaker 1: what the little girl said with the boy turning into
- 57:39Speaker 1: a dragon, and they're like, how does she know about that?
- 57:42Speaker 1: We have to let the master know right away. And
- 57:45Speaker 1: this is one of those moments where I really have
- 57:47Speaker 1: to remember that, Like every time we have Caesar Klown
- 57:51Speaker 1: locking his minions outside to die in a poison gas land,
- 57:56Speaker 1: and I start to feel sorry for them, I need
- 57:58Speaker 1: to remind myself they all knew this maniac was doing
- 58:02Speaker 1: experiments on children, and they just let him do it.
- 58:07Speaker 1: Because I really do lose sight of their complicity in
- 58:10Speaker 1: all of this, and I try to pretend like they
- 58:12Speaker 1: don't know anything that's going on, but they know plenty
- 58:16Speaker 1: of what's going on, and they keep still telling themselves
- 58:21Speaker 1: that he's actually a decent guy. And it doesn't you
- 58:25Speaker 1: guys are not using any critical thinking. So this is
- 58:30Speaker 1: when we go to Caesar and he is looking really
- 58:35Speaker 1: pissed off. I've never thought I've had i'd have to
- 58:39Speaker 1: enter this secret room, much less make use of it.
- 58:44Speaker 1: And it's clearly the secret room that turned that little
- 58:47Speaker 1: kid into a dragon. That's what it seems like he
- 58:50Speaker 1: is referencing. He opens the door and he says, but
- 58:55Speaker 1: right now, I'm afraid it's my only option. Pity, they
- 59:00Speaker 1: just had to go and ruin everything. So things begin
- 59:05Speaker 1: to turn on and you see that this is a
- 59:10Speaker 1: pretty run down space. You know, there's lots of stuff
- 59:13Speaker 1: that's like broken, and it's all sort of just like unused.
- 59:20Speaker 1: And he's like, it's the pity things didn't go according
- 59:23Speaker 1: to plan. It would have been a great show, more
- 59:25Speaker 1: befitting of the world's greatest scientists, but they came along
- 59:29Speaker 1: and spoiled all the fun. And he's just reflecting all
- 59:33Speaker 1: on this. He's looking at all like the security camera footage.
- 59:37Speaker 1: They will regret it. I'll make sure of that when
- 59:40Speaker 1: I'm done with them, they're going to wish they'd been
- 59:42Speaker 1: sent to hell bowed down to my scientific prowess. And
- 59:49Speaker 1: like I said, I guess he's turning himself into a dragon,
- 59:55Speaker 1: but I don't really know what that's going to do.
- 59:59Speaker 1: He's got a pretty bad as power already. I don't
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: feel like that's going to help. And then lastly, the
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: thing that like I'm gonna talk about only very briefly
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: because it didn't seem to go anywhere, we have the
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: fight between Law and Virgo, and Vigo in summary, just whoops,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Law's ass Law has some like secret attack that he
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: has up his sleeve that he seems to think is
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: going to do something, but it doesn't apparently have any
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: effect whatsoever. And reminder, Vigo is still in possession of
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Law's heart, so he just squeezes that thing and really
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: causes Law to pass out instantly. It's like nothing. I
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: am thinking like, oh, he's just gonna kill him now,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, Vergo says, I'm in the
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: middle of something. Does it have to be now? And
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: he turns around and says Vice Admiral Smoker, and I
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: was like, oh, right, Smoker, I forgot this dude has
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: like been off camera forever. I just like forgot all
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: about him. And Vergo's like, all right, I guess uh,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I've been needed to kill you, so I may as
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: well do that, and Smokers like, yeah, do it, fucking
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: kill me, you filthy pirate. And that is the end
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: of the episode. So that's it, guys, And yeah, I
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: don't have any fucking theories on what's happening next, except
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: for my assumption that Caesar's going to turn herself into
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: a dragon, which I don't even know why. So we'll
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: see maybe being a Dragon gives some other extra powers.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Who knows? All right, everyone, well, thank you all so much,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: appreciate you all for this listening. Thank you to Florien
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: for commissioning, and I will see you soon with a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: new episode. Until then, to the Loo, motherfuckers. That was
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: an unspoiled network podcast.
