- 0:11Speaker 1: you can just get that taken away from you.

- 0:46Speaker 2: discussions is to empower you to better navigate yours and
- 0:50Speaker 2: move with intention so that you can stride towards your
- 0:53Speaker 2: own big potential and of course have some fun along
- 0:57Speaker 2: the way. Today's episode the Best of twenty twenty one,
- 1:02Speaker 2: I chose ten really excellent takeaways from ten really excellent
- 1:07Speaker 2: guests to bring back to the feed and highlight as
- 1:11Speaker 2: their top of mind for me going into the new year. Now,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I ever miss if I didn't note that there were
- 1:19Speaker 2: a total of one hundred and thirty two episodes of
- 1:22Speaker 2: Hurdle release this year, including four seven hundred and eighty
- 1:25Speaker 2: three minutes of podcasting, which means that there's a lot
- 1:28Speaker 2: of content to go around. These are some of my
- 1:32Speaker 2: favorite takeaways, but there are just so so many, so
- 1:35Speaker 2: of course, feel free to go back to the catalog
- 1:38Speaker 2: and tell me what some of yours are. If you're
- 1:41Speaker 2: doing that, make sure to share them on social media
- 1:44Speaker 2: as well. Tag the show over at Hurdle Podcast, tag
- 1:46Speaker 2: me over at Emily Abadi. I'll reshare it. Of course,
- 1:51Speaker 2: excited as an understatement looking forward to jumping on into this,
- 1:55Speaker 2: I do want to highlight that this is just a
- 1:57Speaker 2: sweet taste of some of the goodness that.
- 1:59Speaker 3: You're going to get next week.
- 2:00Speaker 2: In fact, I'm coming back for year two of the
- 2:03Speaker 2: Turning the Page series, in which I catch up with
- 2:07Speaker 2: some of my favorite guests from the past three sixty five.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I'm not going to spoil it just.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yet, but some really really great conversations on deck and
- 2:15Speaker 2: I mix things up this year, asking each of the
- 2:17Speaker 2: guests to give me the word that summarizes their past
- 2:22Speaker 2: year as we talk about the biggest lessons that they learned,
- 2:25Speaker 2: and they offer up a lot of inspirational, motivational goodness
- 2:30Speaker 2: to kick start twenty twenty two. I'm lit, I'm fired up,
- 2:34Speaker 2: and I would say that these motivational bits, they're the
- 2:38Speaker 2: perfect way to start off twenty twenty two. If you're
- 2:42Speaker 2: also looking for a little extra oop to kickstart your year,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I've got that on demand goal setting workshop ready for
- 2:48Speaker 2: you if you are interested in it. The link to
- 2:52Speaker 2: download is in the show notes.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Also, really it really blows my mind some day is
- 3:00Speaker 2: that I get to have these awesome conversations for a living,
- 3:04Speaker 2: and there is a lot of work that goes into this,
- 3:07Speaker 2: and it just it means the world to me that
- 3:11Speaker 2: this work is seen and that it is heard, and
- 3:15Speaker 2: that hopefully you appreciate it. So if you do have
- 3:18Speaker 2: a few seconds today, it would also mean the world
- 3:21Speaker 2: to me if you take a second and review Hurdle
- 3:24Speaker 2: wherever it is that you get your podcasts.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Thanks and with that, let's get to Hurdling.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I wanted to kick start today's episode with a highlights
- 3:44Speaker 2: and beautiful takeaway from my friend Jesse Israel.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Now, if you.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Missed Jesse's episode or any of the episodes that you
- 3:52Speaker 2: hear clips from in today's show, I will link to
- 3:55Speaker 2: all of them in the show notes. But Jesse Israel
- 3:58Speaker 2: is the founder of a mass meditation movement called the
- 4:02Speaker 2: Big Quiet, and his takeaway is give yourself permission to rest.
- 4:08Speaker 4: For us to give ourselves permission to cut back right
- 4:11Speaker 4: now instead of lean into more, and to give ourselves
- 4:14Speaker 4: the permission to rest and to find ways to rest
- 4:17Speaker 4: if we're able to be in nature, to be with family,
- 4:20Speaker 4: if we can, I know a lot of us can't.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Really amping up the self care is so important right now.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I think a lot of us can agree that there
- 4:28Speaker 2: was some time and maybe we're still going through it,
- 4:32Speaker 2: to be honest, where it was really frustrating that we
- 4:35Speaker 2: didn't feel as though we could execute like we used
- 4:38Speaker 2: to be able to execute before the pandemic. I was.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I can't even fathom how I was able to do
- 4:45Speaker 2: all the things that I used to do in a
- 4:47Speaker 2: single day. I would start my day at five am.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I would go work out. I would journal and meditate
- 4:55Speaker 2: and make coffee and then perfectly get ready and do
- 4:59Speaker 2: my hair and go my wee work office, and then
- 5:01Speaker 2: write two articles and do three expert interviews, and then
- 5:04Speaker 2: do an edit for the podcast and produce the podcast
- 5:07Speaker 2: and release the podcast, and then go to some event
- 5:10Speaker 2: at night, and like I'm tired, just telling you about
- 5:12Speaker 2: the things that I used to.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Do woo, and so I totally am on.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Board with Jesse's big takeaway of not just resting, but
- 5:25Speaker 2: giving ourselves permission to rest and knowing that it's okay,
- 5:29Speaker 2: in fact it's important, and do so without that chain
- 5:34Speaker 2: and without that guilt. Right this may sound, I don't
- 5:38Speaker 2: know how it's gonna sound, but for me, twenty twenty
- 5:40Speaker 2: one was the year that I finally got good at
- 5:43Speaker 2: sitting on my couch and just being whether it was
- 5:47Speaker 2: just reading or watching TV or watching like eighteen episodes
- 5:52Speaker 2: back to back of Insecure, whatever it is. I used
- 5:55Speaker 2: to feel so guilty, like I should be doing more
- 5:58Speaker 2: in these moments. But what I've come to learn is
- 6:01Speaker 2: that I need them and I crave them, and I'm
- 6:04Speaker 2: so thankful that I've worked on this acquired skill. I
- 6:09Speaker 2: think it's good for all of us. Best of takeaway
- 6:13Speaker 2: number two with my friend and Peloton instructor Beck's Gentry,
- 6:17Speaker 2: who highlights the appreciation she has for the idea that
- 6:22Speaker 2: every single day we have the opportunity to take control
- 6:28Speaker 2: over our lives, not just at the turn of a
- 6:30Speaker 2: new year, but every single minute, every single moment, every
- 6:35Speaker 2: single hour.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Life is your adventure. It's something that you create.
- 6:41Speaker 6: You are the only person in control of how your
- 6:45Speaker 6: story plays out, so why don't you make it the
- 6:47Speaker 6: most epic adventure you possibly can.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Every day we have the opportunity to create and choose
- 6:52Speaker 2: our own adventure.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I love that.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And almost hand in hand with this lesson is the
- 6:57Speaker 2: important notion that we're I'm not going to be able
- 7:00Speaker 2: to control the circumstances around every situation, which means that
- 7:05Speaker 2: it's important to let go of the anger or the
- 7:08Speaker 2: frustration that comes hand in hand with the uncontrollable. Oftentimes,
- 7:13Speaker 2: it's easy to work hard and stick things out when
- 7:16Speaker 2: you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
- 7:18Speaker 2: But this year, it's like the end of the tunnel
- 7:21Speaker 2: just keeps getting pushed back and pushed back and pushed back.
- 7:24Speaker 2: But sitting here and being angry about that that doesn't
- 7:27Speaker 2: do us any good. It doesn't mean that you're not
- 7:30Speaker 2: entitled or allowed to feel angry, But we owe it
- 7:33Speaker 2: to ourselves to take back that control and do the
- 7:37Speaker 2: best we can with what we have.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I challenge you really.
- 7:41Speaker 2: To ask yourself, what is happening in your life right
- 7:45Speaker 2: now that you would change if given the opportunity, and
- 7:51Speaker 2: if you're not changing it at this moment, what's stopping
- 7:54Speaker 2: you from making the next step in the adventure you
- 7:59Speaker 2: really desire For the third best of twenty twenty one moment,
- 8:04Speaker 2: I am bringing back a SoundBite from Comika Love. She's
- 8:08Speaker 2: better known to many as the budget Mom, and I
- 8:12Speaker 2: loved our conversation on financial wellness, which she highlighted, actually
- 8:18Speaker 2: has nothing to do with how much money is in
- 8:21Speaker 2: your bank account, but rather a few other important details.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Wellness does not have anything to do with the numbers.
- 8:29Speaker 5: It's more about the confidence, clarity, and stability that we
- 8:34Speaker 5: feel with our money.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I'm not even like exaggerating. The week after I recorded
- 8:40Speaker 2: with Camiko, I reached out to a new accountant.
- 8:43Speaker 3: I started to get my stuff in order.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I really organized, like what was going on in all
- 8:47Speaker 2: of my different accounts, from my four O one K
- 8:49Speaker 2: to my IRR to my savings.
- 8:51Speaker 3: I opened up an interest earning savings.
- 8:53Speaker 7: And it all.
- 8:55Speaker 2: It didn't take that long to go through all these motions,
- 8:59Speaker 2: but that effort made a world of difference because I
- 9:03Speaker 2: kept coming back to that idea confidence and stability, those
- 9:07Speaker 2: two keywords. The financial decisions just like you know, so
- 9:11Speaker 2: many of the other decisions that we make when it
- 9:13Speaker 2: comes to our overall health and wellbeing, the financial decisions
- 9:17Speaker 2: that we make today can drastically impact us for a
- 9:19Speaker 2: better tomorrow. And so this idea that everyone is different,
- 9:23Speaker 2: just like our overall health and well being, your snapshot
- 9:27Speaker 2: of financial wellness is going to look different than your
- 9:29Speaker 2: neighbors snapshot, different than your parents snapshot, different than your
- 9:33Speaker 2: best friends snapshot. And that's okay as long as you're
- 9:37Speaker 2: making it a priority. Takeaway number four of the top
- 9:42Speaker 2: ten here from my new friend Willie Valderrama. He came
- 9:45Speaker 2: on the show and talk to us about his battle
- 9:48Speaker 2: with MS, overcoming so many massive challenges to not just
- 9:53Speaker 2: relearn how to walk, but ultimately run a marathon. I
- 9:57Speaker 2: loved this conversation. It's one of my apps favorites from
- 10:00Speaker 2: the past year. And his takeaway is to really stop
- 10:04Speaker 2: and appreciate the small stuff.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Appreciate the load of stuff. Appreciate walking, Appreciate seeing, appreciate
- 10:12Speaker 1: just like being able to say hello and good morning
- 10:14Speaker 1: to someone because it's really simple, Like it's really easy,
- 10:17Speaker 1: just you can just get that taken away from you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: It is so easy to get wrapped up in stuff
- 10:22Speaker 2: that just doesn't matter. And at the time when we
- 10:26Speaker 2: get wrapped up in these things, it feels like whatever
- 10:29Speaker 2: it is, it's the biggest deal, period. And unfortunately it
- 10:35Speaker 2: takes some scary moments, some hurdle moments, some rough times
- 10:39Speaker 2: to take that step back like Willie was forced to
- 10:42Speaker 2: do over twenty twenty one and reprioritize. And so perhaps
- 10:49Speaker 2: this lesson really is to approach these frustrations with a
- 10:55Speaker 2: little bit more grace, to understand that something that may
- 10:59Speaker 2: in the moment feel like the absolute end of the world,
- 11:03Speaker 2: it's really it's just a speed bump, but it's just
- 11:05Speaker 2: a hurdle, right, and that we have the opportunity to
- 11:09Speaker 2: shape that perspective and to find the gratitude for the
- 11:12Speaker 2: little moments as they pass, because there is a lot
- 11:16Speaker 2: of beauty in our day today. Takeaway number five from
- 11:22Speaker 2: my friend Taren Toomey. She's the CEO and founder of
- 11:26Speaker 2: the class, and her takeaway is that grief can be
- 11:30Speaker 2: a good thing.
- 11:31Speaker 8: There is absolutely no grief without love. If you're grieving something,
- 11:37Speaker 8: it's because there was love. It's just a cycle, right,
- 11:40Speaker 8: So there is no easy unless you've experienced difficulty.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I'm not all that sure if I really thought about this,
- 11:47Speaker 2: like takeaway from her lens previously, right, having gone through
- 11:54Speaker 2: difficult times, those times make you appreciate the beautiful moments
- 12:00Speaker 2: the winds even more. I feel like something that's been
- 12:04Speaker 2: said here on the show before, knowing that these hurdles
- 12:10Speaker 2: are often when we grow the most.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Right. It's not like when everything is smooth sailing.
- 12:16Speaker 2: You often reflect on those moments, or we often reflect
- 12:20Speaker 2: on those moments and think, wow, I learned so many
- 12:22Speaker 2: lessons when everything in my life was just going absolutely peachy. No, Like,
- 12:28Speaker 2: I think about the most growth that I haven't heard
- 12:31Speaker 2: in my life, and it's been at some of my
- 12:33Speaker 2: darkest times, right, and the breakups and the tears and
- 12:37Speaker 2: the miserable moments when I got kicked out of my
- 12:41Speaker 2: apartment and getting let go from my job, and man,
- 12:45Speaker 2: I mean, I can think of so many.
- 12:46Speaker 3: To insert here, but you get the idea.
- 12:48Speaker 2: It's really beautiful to think of it that way, that
- 12:50Speaker 2: without grief, without the tough stuff, the lovely, lovely, beautiful,
- 12:55Speaker 2: serendipitous times, they wouldn't feel as special. How lucky are
- 13:00Speaker 2: we to endure the tough stuff? Taking a break from
- 13:10Speaker 2: today's episode to give some love to my friends at
- 13:13Speaker 2: AG one from Athletic Greens. I said it at the
- 13:17Speaker 2: turn of twenty twenty one, and I'm gonna say it
- 13:19Speaker 2: at the turn of twenty twenty two. Adding AG one
- 13:23Speaker 2: from Athletic Greens to my everyday routine is, without a doubt,
- 13:27Speaker 2: the best thing I have done for my health in years.
- 13:31Speaker 2: For so long, I prioritize movement, right, I prioritize working
- 13:36Speaker 2: out every day, moving my body.
- 13:38Speaker 3: But that is just one piece to the overall wellness puzzle.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It's almost embarrassing to admit that my vitamin minerals supplements
- 13:48Speaker 2: routine was at one time exclusively whatever was sold in
- 13:52Speaker 2: the gummy vitamin's aisle at CBS.
- 13:54Speaker 3: And now I don't.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Play games with the stuff that I'm putting in my body.
- 14:00Speaker 2: I shake up a bottle of Athletic Greens every single
- 14:03Speaker 2: morning with a greens powder and all in one daily scoop,
- 14:06Speaker 2: plus some cold water and perhaps a squeeze of fresh lemon,
- 14:10Speaker 2: And in that sip, I get seventy five whole food
- 14:13Speaker 2: sourced ingredients, the antioxidant equivalent of twelve servings of fruits
- 14:17Speaker 2: and vegetables as well as probiotics, probiotics, adaptagens and superfoods.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I'm telling you it is a nutritional powerhouse and such
- 14:27Speaker 2: an easy thing to add into your routine to start
- 14:30Speaker 2: the new year off right now. Of course, ado one
- 14:33Speaker 2: for Athletic Greens has a deal for you.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Head on over to Athleticgreens.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Dot com slash kurdle to get five free travel packs
- 14:42Speaker 2: as well as a year's supply of Vitamin D with
- 14:45Speaker 2: your first purchase. Again, head on over to Athletic Greens
- 14:48Speaker 2: dot com slash kurdle. Take some ownership over your health
- 14:52Speaker 2: and well being today and in the process you get
- 14:54Speaker 2: a bunch of freebies, including five free travel packs and
- 14:57Speaker 2: a year's supply of Vitamin D. Top of twenty twenty one,
- 15:08Speaker 2: number six coming in hot from Emma Coburn. She's a
- 15:12Speaker 2: pro runner Olympian steeplechase athlete, and her takeaway is something
- 15:18Speaker 2: I touched on before, which is control, be controllable.
- 15:23Speaker 3: What can I.
- 15:23Speaker 7: Control right now while I'm hurting terribly in this workout
- 15:28Speaker 7: or this race. I can control getting through this rep.
- 15:30Speaker 7: I can control, like my effort in this rep is
- 15:33Speaker 7: going to be solid, and then I'll tackle that next
- 15:35Speaker 7: step or in bigger life things, it's like what can
- 15:38Speaker 7: I control now? And if I don't have control of it,
- 15:41Speaker 7: like find a way to exist peacefully in it and
- 15:45Speaker 7: preserve like some sanity and happiness through that.
- 15:48Speaker 2: That last little bit figure out how to exist peacefully
- 15:52Speaker 2: in it. Again, it's that idea of removing the shame
- 15:56Speaker 2: and the guilt and the judgment and just being okay
- 15:59Speaker 2: with the idea that this is how.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It is now.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Back when Hurdle started, I think one of the first episodes,
- 16:05Speaker 2: maybe it was episode number three or episode number four,
- 16:08Speaker 2: was with Sarah Larson Levey. She is the founder of
- 16:11Speaker 2: Y seven Studio, and she said a quote that I
- 16:13Speaker 2: have reiterated time and time again in this feed. Things
- 16:18Speaker 2: are different right now than they were yesterday, and they're
- 16:22Speaker 2: going to be different in five minutes from this moment.
- 16:25Speaker 3: So all we can do is.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Literally the best with what we have and recognize that
- 16:31Speaker 2: this is how it is now. Best of twenty twenty
- 16:34Speaker 2: one Moment number seven from my dear friend, the Woman's
- 16:38Speaker 2: Health editor in chief, Liz Plosser. She says that articulating
- 16:43Speaker 2: your values and implementing them into your morning routine can
- 16:48Speaker 2: help set you up for a more successful day.
- 16:52Speaker 9: Core values, when we're living and breathing them every day
- 16:55Speaker 9: in our lives, that's what makes us feel most fulfilled.
- 16:59Speaker 9: So if you can begin your day like that, with
- 17:01Speaker 9: filling yourself up with that stuff that makes you feel
- 17:04Speaker 9: like an amazing human and makes your heart feel full,
- 17:07Speaker 9: then like the rest of the day is yours for
- 17:09Speaker 9: the taking.
- 17:10Speaker 2: So in our chat, she kind of elaborated on this
- 17:14Speaker 2: a little bit, and I feel a need to rearticulate
- 17:17Speaker 2: that right now. Your core values, maybe they're family, friends, movement,
- 17:23Speaker 2: mental health, health in general, nutrition, what you're putting into
- 17:27Speaker 2: your body, if you're able to articulate what these values
- 17:31Speaker 2: are and then implement something into the beginning of your day.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Liz is an author of a book that came out
- 17:37Speaker 2: this year called Own Your Morning, So a very relevant
- 17:40Speaker 2: conversation for the two of us to have. If you
- 17:42Speaker 2: implement something that has to do with your values into
- 17:45Speaker 2: your morning routine, then you will feel more fulfilled as
- 17:50Speaker 2: you go about the rest of your day. It's important
- 17:53Speaker 2: to prioritize you It's important to make the time for
- 17:57Speaker 2: the stuff that, as Liz says, fills up your cup
- 18:00Speaker 2: beyond maybe just a little bit of moarning coffee takeaway
- 18:04Speaker 2: number eight from Joe a Holder, creator of the Oho System,
- 18:10Speaker 2: a Nike You Master trainer, a wellness expert, and all
- 18:13Speaker 2: around astounding human. He says, there is no one size
- 18:19Speaker 2: fits all approach to wellness.
- 18:22Speaker 10: The same workout doesn't work for everyone. We need to
- 18:24Speaker 10: stop selling people on the idea there's a one size
- 18:28Speaker 10: fits all, but there is a relative parameters that can
- 18:31Speaker 10: be applied to everyone, and then once you learn that,
- 18:34Speaker 10: then you could develop what's best for you.
- 18:37Speaker 2: What I love about Joe, and let it be known
- 18:39Speaker 2: that I've known him for some time and it's just
- 18:40Speaker 2: been like so awesome to see him come into his
- 18:43Speaker 2: own and also just make such a name for himself
- 18:46Speaker 2: in this industry. I love that Joe is very realistic
- 18:51Speaker 2: about balance, and I also appreciate that he gives it
- 18:56Speaker 2: to you straight He.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Serves it straight up.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Meaning that whole approach to health and fitness in terms
- 19:03Speaker 2: of movement is that we shouldn't just be focusing on
- 19:07Speaker 2: like single body parts like a lot of these classes
- 19:10Speaker 2: kind of break up the weekend two like arms.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Butt, legs, core, whatever.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Rather, we got to think of the biomotor skills, which
- 19:17Speaker 2: are the foundation of physical health. That's exactly what he
- 19:21Speaker 2: talks about in the master Class he released earlier this year,
- 19:25Speaker 2: which includes strength, speed and durance, flexibility and coordination. No
- 19:29Speaker 2: matter who you are, if you dedicate time to these
- 19:33Speaker 2: different attributes, it's going to make you a more well
- 19:37Speaker 2: rounded athlete. And I'm of the mindset that if you
- 19:40Speaker 2: have a body, you're an athlete, it'll also make you
- 19:43Speaker 2: just a healthier, better human. I mentioned Joe's Masterclass, but
- 19:47Speaker 2: if you want more info on where to start, how
- 19:51Speaker 2: to get going, he's got that for you in that offering,
- 19:55Speaker 2: And of course you can also check out his past
- 19:58Speaker 2: two episodes in the Hurdle Feed. Second to last takeaway
- 20:03Speaker 2: here from twenty twenty one from My Girl Hillary allan
- 20:07Speaker 2: and endurance athlete who highlights that sometimes getting over and
- 20:13Speaker 2: through hurdles isn't going to look squeaky clean.
- 20:17Speaker 11: People think, oh, there's a hurdle, you like, jump over it,
- 20:20Speaker 11: but u uh, sometimes you have to freaking crawl. You
- 20:23Speaker 11: have to jungle gym your way over that hurdle. But
- 20:26Speaker 11: as long as you're trying and like problem solving a
- 20:28Speaker 11: way to get over it, you'll get there.
- 20:30Speaker 3: And I love that analogy.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Where there's a will, there's a way, right, That's what
- 20:35Speaker 2: happens in these tough moments. We learn how to navigate
- 20:38Speaker 2: the next tough moment and the next tough moment. And
- 20:41Speaker 2: that doesn't mean that these things necessarily get less tough.
- 20:45Speaker 2: What it does mean is that we come to understand
- 20:48Speaker 2: that we have the tools that we need to get
- 20:52Speaker 2: through the mud. And who would doubt that the last
- 20:58Speaker 2: top ten moment of twenty twenty one is going to
- 21:00Speaker 2: come from the one the only Chileane Flanagan. Chilene's highlight
- 21:05Speaker 2: for us is that the challenging moments, we should approach
- 21:09Speaker 2: them with openness because each challenge makes us better.
- 21:13Speaker 6: I feel like when I'm doing hard things, I actually
- 21:15Speaker 6: feel more alive when I'm challenging myself. And I just
- 21:19Speaker 6: want to, yeah, showcase to young women that sport can
- 21:22Speaker 6: be for life and change your life for the better.
- 21:24Speaker 6: I just felt the need to just do something challenging again.
- 21:28Speaker 2: And challenges she did complete with her Project Eclipse, completing
- 21:33Speaker 2: at six marathons in forty two days just last month.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Something else I love that Schlaine said when we spoke
- 21:42Speaker 2: live here in New York City Marathon this week.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Such a highlight for me was that mood follows action.
- 21:50Speaker 3: There are so many days that we may not be
- 21:52Speaker 3: in the mood to do X or Y.
- 21:55Speaker 2: But if you get through the hard part of just
- 21:58Speaker 2: taking that first step, doing that first thing, making yourself
- 22:03Speaker 2: a little bit uncomfortable in pursuit of your ultimate goal,
- 22:07Speaker 2: well then you may be surprised at the good vibes,
- 22:10Speaker 2: the happiness, and the positivity that follows suit.
- 22:14Speaker 3: What a year for hurdle.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, I have so many chills, good vibes, goosebumps.
- 22:20Speaker 3: I don't even know.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I'm just smiling, sitting here again, grateful for all of you,
- 22:26Speaker 2: Grateful for all of these guests, and amped to keep
- 22:29Speaker 2: doing it, to keep going, to keep hurdling.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Another hurdle conquered. Catch you guys next time.
