Transcript
- 0:02Here's your host, Alex Deren. All Right, well on the Alex Garrett
- 0:08Podcast Network. As we continue to see the fallout from the attempted assassination of
- 0:14President Trump, an unlikely person to talk about it was one John Hinckley Junior.
- 0:21And today, the man who tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan has asked the
- 0:26world for peace over violence. And all I have to say is, where
- 0:30was that piece in the nineteen eighties when he tried to shoot and kill Ronald
- 0:35Reagan? Ironically enough, earlier today I interviewed not only the founder and CEO
- 0:41of Invests USA, but a member of the Reagan administration's security team, Michael
- 0:48Letts. Were you there when it happened when Hinckley shot those bullets? Or
- 0:52was that before or after? You were there? I was not there on
- 0:57that day. I was not there president during that time. But yes,
- 1:00I was there during that era, and I can tell you this. It's
- 1:03just extremely interesting, Alex, the difference in perceptions from an attitude from that
- 1:11day to what we have today, both from a law enforces standpoint. You
- 1:17know, one of the things that's so concerning about what happens Saturday and how
- 1:23the part of The answer is to why do the officer didn't fire, the
- 1:26CAA didn't fire ahead of time before the assailants started shooting. Is there's such
- 1:32a perception nowadays that cops are automatically guilty to approve a Dennison and they are
- 1:38sued there do you try to try them, et cetera. That nobody wants
- 1:42to take a risk anymore. They're very concerned about you tell me I have
- 1:47to get permission. Then I don't care if it looks like he's fitting to
- 1:49shoot the president or not. I guess I better just stand down until you
- 1:53give me permission. In the old days, Alex, you would have taken
- 1:57a shot immediately if you had you known or perceived their be a threat.
- 2:00The attitude is changed. That's no longer there, and so that's a big
- 2:05difference. And then of course it affects the morale of people that are doing
- 2:08the job. They feel like their hands are tied. They feel like they're
- 2:12being asked to perform, to be superheroes, but yet they're not giving their
- 2:15capes, would you say, and the supply necessary to be the superheroes,
- 2:21the society sometimes wants them to be. Well, I guess this is a
- 2:23great time on the Alex Scatt podcast Network to announce I've taken up a contracting
- 2:29you know, booker position with special guest pr and one of those guests who
- 2:35loves working with us is Michael Letz. And Michael, you are the CEO
- 2:38of invest USA. You are the founder of invest USA, and that's about
- 2:44police vests and more so, I'd be wanting to get you on my show
- 2:47for a while, so I'm glad we finally have the avenue to do this,
- 2:51right. I love looking forward to it. Michael. I know,
- 2:55I know you've been probably NonStop since the attempt asastination Donald Trump. From a
- 3:01security you're a law enforcement veteran. From that perspective, didn't the Secret Service
- 3:06fail Donald Trump? And quite frankly everybody at that round, Oh, there's
- 3:09no question. You know. It's one thing, Alex, to have some
- 3:15gaffs. I mean, gafs happen in life. It's another thing for there
- 3:20to be major protocol breaches, not just one, but quite a number of
- 3:24them that we can talk about here on your show in a minute. That
- 3:28doesn't happen. Coincidentally, that leads one to believe something else much deeper is
- 3:32going on. So even best case scenario, if for some reason this is
- 3:37historic in the making, and the fact that you had all these protocol breaches
- 3:43at one time just so happened by circum happenstance, that's bad enough. There
- 3:50is a let down there. But if it's deeper, it's what it appears
- 3:53to be, Michael, all of Americas should be concerned. Now, Michael,
- 3:59let's say you know, in your experience, has the Secret Service or
- 4:01anybody ever leaned on you to secure the perimeter of an event, whether it
- 4:04was a presidential event or not. Have you been in charge of securing such
- 4:09areas? Oh? I sure have you know? I've also done asset work
- 4:14with the Secret Service during the regular administration. And quite frankly, this one
- 4:19just says, I don't know how you can come up, Alex with a
- 4:25rational explanation for what happened. Is just it's too amazingly breach of protocol to
- 4:35be able to put any kind of rationale response to it. First of all,
- 4:41when you go in two days before, you identify the areas of greatest
- 4:46threat where the greatest sideline distances are at, and you make sure they're secure.
- 4:51Their own reporting shows that they we call them barns, I guess you
- 4:55know, the German public halls and buildings. But identified the barn that the
- 5:00assailant was on as being the primary threat for security. So that should have
- 5:06by all practical means, what would have happened in any other circumstances, There
- 5:11would have been agents assigned to that building. They would have been on top
- 5:15of that. They would have been CAA's on top of that building. That
- 5:17didn't occur. When the question was raised as to why it was, well,
- 5:23we thought about it and decided it wasn't necessary. That's the first alex.
- 5:27But let's just go ahead and give them that one. Okay, that's
- 5:29a red flag, but we'll give them that one. All right, for
- 5:30some reason you didn't think it was necessary. Now here's what I want you
- 5:33to think about it. By stay, I'm giving him this one. They
- 5:38put a security you telled everything else. Why did they leave this one building
- 5:43open? And the other thing you need to keep in mind, why did
- 5:46the assailant know that that was the only building that was open that he would
- 5:49have access to. That's a huge question. Second, will also you go
- 5:55from there? Two days after that, you go to the day of the
- 5:57event, you open up the access for the people to get in, you
- 6:02close the access to where now you just have an outer perimeter that's available.
- 6:10And suddenly, out on the outer access, you have a passenger, which
- 6:14is mister Cooper, who gets out of the vehicle and begins to walk towards
- 6:20the secured premise where one of the buildings is at and he has a rifle
- 6:26assault rifle strung over his back and shoulder in full view. Now understand that
- 6:32you have a lot of people on the outer perimeter who didn't get in.
- 6:35Okay, so they're watching all this. They're hollering because there are law enforce
- 6:44and personnel on the outer perimeter as well. They're hollowing to the Secret Service
- 6:49and to law enforcement. There how do we know this, Alex, We're
- 6:53not just speculating. I want you to understand everything. I'm telling you.
- 6:57There is video and audio documentation for okay, so you can't just and BBC
- 7:01had a witness that said that they had seen this guy and all of a
- 7:05sudden they're asking law enforcement to do something and law enforcement ignored them. I
- 7:10mean, that is so egregious. So you have you have two more red
- 7:15flags on this dance and that you just talked about. First of all,
- 7:17here's what should have happened. Because of the fact that he just it blows
- 7:21my mind talking about this Alex. They had already identified him prior to the
- 7:26event as a person of interest, Okay, so they had his picture.
- 7:30They knew that if this person shows up, he needed detain him. So
- 7:34here he's walking towards them, basically like you turned himself in. They don't
- 7:41engage. That's the first red flag on this particular instance. The second major
- 7:47red flag is this Alex. When you're at an event of presidential protection or
- 7:53dignitary protection and you either see a gun or you suspect that you're seeing a
- 8:01gun, protocols you immediately holler into the communication network gun which is the code
- 8:07word for those that are closest to the president to immediately give him what we
- 8:11call a circle of protection and get him off the premise, not just off
- 8:16the stage, but out of there, off the premise to secure him in
- 8:20case something else is going down that we're unaware of, there's a bomb planet
- 8:24or something like that. Protocol is you just get him out period, event's
- 8:26over done. Get him out as fast as you can. So here's the
- 8:33third breach. Remember the first breach was you didn't put anybody on the roof.
- 8:37The second breach is law enforcement doesn't engage on him when they're looking at
- 8:43him and people are saying he's got a gun. Third breaches they do not
- 8:48use the communication network to say gun. So nobody moves to protect the president.
- 8:52Now it goes from there till he gets to the building. He's starting
- 8:56to climb up to the roof. Remember, nobody's still doing anything. He
- 9:00gets on top of the roof and he takes roughly eleven minutes to move around,
- 9:07crawl around. At the same time, the innerspectators now are seeing him,
- 9:11they're doing the same thing. They're hollering out, guys on a roof,
- 9:16Guy's got a gun. Now they're starting to scramble, Alice, because
- 9:20they understand that this is not going to end. Well, I've seen a
- 9:22few videos where people are literally leaving the rally knowing what's about to happen.
- 9:26And yet you're exactly right. They didn't. They didn't do anything. It's
- 9:31be on my mind real quickly while we're on this. Is it possible they
- 9:35whispered in Trump's ear Secret Service after the shot was fired. Is there a
- 9:39possibility of that to move his head? Uh no, he okay, cause
- 9:46someone told me that that would have a possibility, but that did not happen.
- 9:50No, no, no, And here's why White, I asked so
- 9:54quickly. He does not have a communication earpiece in his ear. Okay,
- 10:00hey, if he had to be, if he's using an earpiege, it's
- 10:01because it's one of his staff, not Secret Service, So they wouldn't be
- 10:07whispering anything in the year. Secret Service doesn't operate that way. They move
- 10:11in other words, if we think you're there's a threat, we take you
- 10:15down. When I say down, we take the president death. That's another
- 10:18thing. We're going to talk about it in just a moment. So then
- 10:22you've got to remember. Now you've got that fourth and fifth violations because the
- 10:26same thing happened happened on the outer perimeter. Law enforcement didn't move on it,
- 10:31nobody getting called in gun. So now he's on the roof, by
- 10:35the way, a law enforcement officer went up and check on it, and
- 10:39the assailant turned around and pointed his rifle at it, but he went back
- 10:43down the ladder. Now that's still be a verified Alex. But here's the
- 10:46problem with that. Typically, if somebody said, if somebody with a gun
- 10:50on the roof, you don't crawl up the ladder with just a smile saying
- 10:54hey, I'm here to see what you're doing. You would have gone up
- 10:58that ladder prepared. Okay, you know, weapon drawn and ready to take
- 11:01out the threat. That having been said, Now you have the president at
- 11:05the podium. You have two c's that's counter snipers on the barn closest to
- 11:13the president, a Ford at a rear. The Ford has been watching this
- 11:18all along. Okay, he now has the assailant in his sight scope locked
- 11:24in. This is seven minutes before the incident. Once he's really seeing what's
- 11:33going on and locks in, he asks for permission. There's a threat to
- 11:37the president, permission to engage. That permission doesn't come to forty three seconds,
- 11:43after which the assailant has already had the ability to shoot three rounds Now,
- 11:48let's stop for just a moment and talk about that incident. What's protocol
- 11:52and what's not Because people are asking me all across the country he saw something,
- 11:56why did you take the shot? Well, this is very unique in
- 12:01this particular situation, the instructions were given to the assisting personnel. And let
- 12:07me back up so that people understand how we got to the people that are
- 12:11in place. There are different levels of protection. There is a presidential package,
- 12:16which is the top notch okay, that only goes to presidents, current
- 12:24presidents, or the people who have secured the nomination of a major party.
- 12:30Now you remember Trump didn't get that nomination till this Monday, so he didn't
- 12:33have it at that time. The second level of protection is for former presidents,
- 12:39and the third being for dignitaries people along those lines of ambassadors, etc.
- 12:45So he's in the second tier of protection now. And what is the
- 12:48difference between the presidential package and just the particular protection for former presidents. Presidential
- 12:56package has whatever assets are necessary i e. If you need ten people,
- 13:01twenty people, whatever you need you get. Plus you have full advantage of
- 13:07all the technology necessary. You know, when you see the President of the
- 13:11United States giving a speech, you hear helicopters, overhead, drones, et
- 13:16cetera. All that is provided. You'll notice there were no drones or no
- 13:20helicopters. People ask me why there should have been. We'll talk about why
- 13:24there should have been in a minute, but technically he didn't have that as
- 13:28part of his package. Plus the other difference is you get a certain number
- 13:33of agents and that's it. Okay, Now it's funny said that, Michael,
- 13:37because remember there was a time where Democrats wanted them to have no protection.
- 13:41Lefty your exactly, which is now even more alarming considering what happened Saturday.
- 13:48Right, Oh, there's no question. But now you can begin to
- 13:50see. I think you and your listeners are beginning to understand were how we
- 13:54had so many gas in this particular setup. So what happens when you have
- 14:00a high value target such as President Trump? Why do I say high value
- 14:05target because out of all the former presidents, he's probably the one that's getting
- 14:09the most threats and the most activity. There's a lot of people that he's
- 14:13very controversial, let's put it that way, okay, And when that happens,
- 14:18you should know that he is a higher threat value than any of the
- 14:22other protectees. And so his team knew that. They repeatedly three times ask
- 14:30for additional personnel. We can't complete the protective detail of what we've got,
- 14:33we need moore assets, and they were denied all three times, who do
- 14:37they ask it for. They go first, it goes in the same request.
- 14:41It goes to three different people. He goes to the director who is
- 14:43Kim Director of the Secret Service, he goes to the Secretary which is Marijorcis,
- 14:50and then he goes to the White House, he goes to the President.
- 14:52All three times it was denied. All three agencies, the President,
- 15:00Terry, and the director of all three denied the request for additional personnel.
- 15:03So I had to bring up January sixth. But what you're talking about is
- 15:07almost like Pelosi rejecting Trump's request for more security on January sixth. I'm just
- 15:11going to throw that out there to you. No, you're exactly right,
- 15:15Ali. So what happens when you go down that path, Well, now
- 15:18that you don't have as much as many personnel, you try to make up
- 15:22for it by gathering more local and more state law enforcement to make up for
- 15:26the difference. They had an extra challenge this time because on this particular day
- 15:31on Saturday, you had the first lady that was in Pennsylvania campaigning, and
- 15:39you had the vice president. Both of those are given the full presidential package.
- 15:43You remember something that Trump didn't have, so whatever assets they had that
- 15:48may have been extra in Pennsylvania were already committed. So you know, this
- 15:54is the worst time that you could have done a presidential thing in terms of
- 15:58assets. So they try to make it up by providing for local and state
- 16:03assistance. Now how does that pan out into this particular scenario. The two
- 16:07c's that were all the barn closest to the president, instead of being Secret
- 16:14Service sharpshooters, were local law enforcement swat team shot shooters. Nothing wrong with
- 16:21that. In fact, they the proofs in the pudding. You saw the
- 16:25local guy. He took him out with the first shot once he was granted
- 16:26permission. But let me tell you what they tried to hide behind. Because
- 16:32it wasn't just Secret Service. They made the decision that nobody could could shoot,
- 16:37nobody could do anything without getting prior authorization from the supervisory Secret Service agent
- 16:45in charge at the scene. Now I get that a little bit, Alex,
- 16:52but I don't understand. In one sense, you don't want somebody shooting
- 16:56somebody that they shouldn't have done, or a mistake being made. But when
- 17:03you're talking about protecting the president, you're talking about a professional squad team member
- 17:08with the scope that can see his nose hairs, for lack of a better
- 17:15word, he can tell that that's not a stick. This guy is a
- 17:18kid with a stick on a roof. He can tell you have a certified
- 17:22threat, that that is a are long range rifle and that is going to
- 17:27do some damage. So why they decided that you can't engage without his approval?
- 17:34First, he is a serious question. Why the approval was he given
- 17:40till later after he had already the assail that had already taken three shots is
- 17:44a serious question. But anyway, so now you've got forty three second delay
- 17:49between the time that he has the permission requested, he has a lock on
- 17:55and permission is given. He could have taken him out easily. Again,
- 18:00out understand this, nothing is said in the communications system about gun. So
- 18:07now suddenly you've got the two c's on the barn. He eventually takes the
- 18:11assailant out. But you begin if you look at the video something, you're
- 18:15starting to hear the shots go off. Now you're trained in protective detail or
- 18:22you know law enforcement, you know the difference between the sound of a gun
- 18:26and the sound of a firecracker. To their credit, they realized the Secret
- 18:30Service agencies realized that there were shots being fired. But here are some other
- 18:36issues to add into the confusion, Aleix. So three shots have now been
- 18:41fired. One hit the president and went through his ear and out, and
- 18:47then as it traveled out, it hit Corey, who was a volunteer fire
- 18:52chief and who had upon hearing the first crack, he jumped over on top
- 18:59of his wife and daughter. What a hero he is. Right, had
- 19:03he not done that, one of those two would have died instead of him.
- 19:07But he's hit, and you know, of course he's terminated. He's
- 19:10hit. And remember he had the opportunity to get all two other hits,
- 19:12and two other people are severely wounded in our critical condition in the hospital as
- 19:18we speak. But now that you had the third shot, ring is or
- 19:23paused about three seconds before the agents jump up behind him and circle him for
- 19:30protection. What's the problem with that? Typically, here's what happens, Alex.
- 19:34Shot one shot rings, we're close enough to you, we knock you
- 19:40down. I knocked you off your feet to protect you. You don't ever
- 19:42know what hits you. And this particular incident, the President himself had time
- 19:48to get down on his own on the ground before the protective service was around.
- 19:53That's extremely odd. Now, look at the agents that were provided to
- 19:59him. Remember he doesn't have the eight team to begin with, but in
- 20:03this particular incident, his security detail that he's been working with for the last
- 20:08four years, people that he's grown to trust, have all been given the
- 20:12day off. So this is a new team that has come in. It's
- 20:17got three women on it. Now, I'm not saying anything against women's performance.
- 20:21You know, I love women to death, but these women are about
- 20:25a foot and a half short of being able to do their job because of
- 20:29their physical structure. You notice that that you have one in the front,
- 20:33two in the back. When they go to encircle. The one on the
- 20:36front is leaving his head and shoulders exposed because he's just not told them.
- 20:41The one in the back, one of them performs, moves in on the
- 20:45protective circle. The second one is just standing there, going he's a deer
- 20:51at headlights. What's going on? Guys? What do we do? Where
- 20:52are we going? Well? What's happening? That's pretty sad, But in
- 20:57all ferers, Michael, I think they acted as well as they could in
- 21:00the situation. When you agree they did well, yes, but let me
- 21:04tell you how much slightly different with you, Alex. They acted as best
- 21:08as they could because of the fact that that was not their primary training and
- 21:14objective. They should have never been put in that position to begin with.
- 21:18And you reason, you say, why can't you tell that? Because if
- 21:21you notice one of the females when you get close to the suburban as they
- 21:23tried to load them, can't even figure out how to reholt her weapon all
- 21:27right, tells you that she hasn't and had it drawn too many times.
- 21:32And in those particular instances, when you learn protective detail, that's all you
- 21:36do is go over that time and time again. You could do it if
- 21:38you sleep, if you had to. So disappointed a little bit in the
- 21:41performance, but even more disappointed. And all these gaffs that we're talking about
- 21:48that have how do they all occur at the same time? Best case scenario
- 21:55choral complete failure of the secret service. First case scenario is the assailant had
- 22:03prior knowledge knowing that that building was the only one unsecured. I had some
- 22:08assistance in getting in by nobody challenging him and stopping him. And quite frankly
- 22:15now there's question as to whether there was another shooter, and that's being investigated
- 22:19now. The other thing that's disappointing is I've been asked, well, what's
- 22:25going to happen. Who's going to be held accountable? Interesting that the Secret
- 22:29Service director initially cam initially was trying to blame it on local law enforces.
- 22:33They didn't do their part. I didn't work out too well. So now
- 22:37she's saying this morning that the Secret Service was responsible for the failure, but
- 22:42she has certainly not given any indication. In fact, yesterday she said she
- 22:48wasn't going anywhere. You know, the Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorka certainly isn't
- 22:52going anywhere. And at this part, I do believe I don't believe the
- 22:56President himself was involved. From this standpoint, he doesn't know whether he's in
- 23:02the restroom or not. Okay, I mean, we've seen some major problems.
- 23:06It's amazing you say that because if there was an external force outside of
- 23:10the Secret Service. But I think could have been a big role here,
- 23:12you know what I mean. I think there's something bigger going on. I
- 23:17feel like if Biden does a rally before the DNC, this happened before the
- 23:22Republican Convention? Am I right to be worried that something gonna happen in Biden?
- 23:26Now? Before the DNC? I feel like there's something else beyond the
- 23:29two presidents that were fighting against. Maybe I'm wrong on that. No,
- 23:33I don't think you're wrong, Alex I was just seeing this on another show.
- 23:37Let's get back to the core. This is the most epic struggle between
- 23:41good and evil this country has ever seen in history. Right, it's not
- 23:47about Trump Biden, between good and evil? Where do we stand over the
- 23:52last three years? You had an administration with Biden didn't know what we're was
- 24:00going on. He was just kind of there as a figurehead other people.
- 24:03I don't think anybody in America would argue to you that Biden hasn't been calling
- 24:07the shots. There are other people, if you want to call them,
- 24:11the deep state, whatever you want to call them, who have been calling
- 24:14the shots. They are perfectly content with the setup they used Biden to get
- 24:18into Alice. Of course, Biden didn't win in the office like they want
- 24:22you to believe. They had to cheat and cheat heavily to get it,
- 24:26but they got it. And now Biden just supposed to his administration is supposed
- 24:30to be doing what they asked, which has happened up to this point.
- 24:34But now suddenly, unfortunately his health deterior to the point they can't hide it
- 24:40anymore. So they felt like they were not going to be able to win
- 24:42the election in November because of that factor alone, so they wanted him to
- 24:48step down. They would find somebody else that they felt like they could put
- 24:53behind and help him cheat to win. He still keep power. Well,
- 24:59you know, I just got a lot of health problems. But it's not
- 25:02Biden. It's his wife Jill, and it's his son Hunter. Can't afford
- 25:06for him to step down, So they have been pumping him up with you
- 25:11need to be defiant, You're not going anywhere. That got them rattle.
- 25:15So you got to understand they're looking at a couple of things. Trump winning
- 25:19by a landslide. They don't want that, so they have to eliminate that
- 25:22problem. And now you got it, incumbent that's not doing what we ask
- 25:26him to do. It might be time to move him aside too so we
- 25:30can get what we need. So, yes, your conjecture that could he
- 25:33also be a target is very very much a reality and quite frankly, why
- 25:38would they want to do that. Well, if you take out Trump and
- 25:44you take out Biden, and you make it a peer that is the Conservatives
- 25:49versus the liberals, you have a civil war, you go into martial law,
- 25:53and you keep power and not your whole objective was anyway. So we
- 25:57need to make sure that we don't give them the opportunity to do what it
- 26:03is they're seeking to get done, and that's to control this country. Michael,
- 26:07podcasts like this and shows that talk about God's rolling all this. How
- 26:11important is that to you to enforce that? And I want to ask about
- 26:15in best USA right have to answer that, But I feel like God's at
- 26:18play here too, isn't he. There's no question, I don't think anybody
- 26:22I've spoken to the president, there is no question that he, of all
- 26:29people, understands that this was a divine intervention. There is literally no other
- 26:34way to explain the fact that he is still with us today. You will
- 26:38notice that, you will notice that when he came and was part of the
- 26:45RNC on Monday night. Quite frankly, I tell people, if you look
- 26:49at the President, there's a different look this time. They ever has been
- 26:52in the past. He recognizes that God alone spared his life for a reason,
- 27:00and he had suddenly been very humbled in the last three or four days.
- 27:06And I'm not saying there's anything wrong before. I'm just telling you there's
- 27:08a marked difference that he recognizes, and he publicly and probably will state that
- 27:15that he recognizes God saved him and God alone, and it must be for
- 27:18a particular reason. Well, I also think that he saved America. God
- 27:22saved to America, because if this did chew Trump and kill him, that
- 27:26would be a whole different kind of war we're at right now, you know.
- 27:30So it's just and some people said, well, why aren't you taking
- 27:33account the one that died, the hero that died, And I don't know
- 27:37how to equate that. All I know is that, you know, he
- 27:41was a hero. That's all I can say on that. You know,
- 27:45Well, you know, sometimes God uses things that we don't understand to teach
- 27:52valuable lessons and to get people's attention. And if there had just been a
- 27:56threat, a shot at the air with no concert punches, it probably would
- 28:00not have had the effect that this had of him actually being wounded, hit
- 28:06and causing the loss of life for people to understand just how significant this event
- 28:11is. Now, you say he spoke to the President, have you actually
- 28:15given him and invest the USA best and talk about your company, because I
- 28:21love the idea that you're vesting up if you will police officers. How many
- 28:25departments do you work with? By the way, we're all across the country,
- 28:29elege. We've given over thirteen thousand and five hundred and best and we
- 28:33just have it literally every day, requests coming in from all across the country.
- 28:40It's unfortunate that they do. We have tried to prioritize a lot of
- 28:44what our efforts have been have been in major areas where there have been officers
- 28:48killed because not having the necessary best. We've tried to help that department by
- 28:52immediately giving them some let them know that America is behind them, and we
- 28:56sympathize that. We deeply a grieve over they're lie loss. He've also been
- 29:02heavily involved on the border because of the fact that that's where all our terres,
- 29:07drug dealers, human sex chapters, etc. Tder Are pouring across and
- 29:11creating the greatest threat. But I love your question. President knows he can
- 29:18have an active shoot of ass anytime he wants one. I would love for
- 29:22him to be wearing one. Two issues come up with that. Put it
- 29:27this way, an active shooter. As law enforcement, we're used to it,
- 29:30that's part of the uniform. Okay, a president having the it's not
- 29:36just the bulk of the vests. He can handle that, it's not the
- 29:40weight. He can handle that easily. But Alex, would you want to
- 29:44put on a heavy sweater and a hundred degree temperature and stand out there and
- 29:48talk for an hour and a half makes it a little difficult. Plus,
- 29:52and to be honest, Trump is not one to sort of armor up in
- 29:56that sense because he wants to show people he's tough. Agree with that,
- 30:00right, correct? And that's what I was just going to say. The
- 30:03other thing is is that you know, as you saw this time, it
- 30:07would happen with Kennedy and others. Most of the time those assassination shots are
- 30:14head shots, which the only way to prevent that would be to worry a
- 30:18ballistic helmet, and you don't think the President's going to do that. Plus,
- 30:22there are other ways that we can handle securing the president as always bulletproof
- 30:29class. Why that was not well, I know why I wasn't used this
- 30:32time because you remember, he doesn't have the full presidential or didn't have the
- 30:34full presidential package. That's why you achieve any bulletproof class there. Obviously,
- 30:41it's easier to stand behind bulletproof class, easier on you, easier on the
- 30:44public, is see, than it would be for you to retry to outfit
- 30:45you with the best. But I'd be happy to give you one the minute
- 30:48he said he wants one, Michael, have you worked with the NYPD?
- 30:52And I got to give credit to Mayor Adams who during the academy graduation said,
- 30:57you know your job is beyond just getting the bad guy, it's to
- 31:00really protect the people and the city. And I don't know, I haven't
- 31:04heard a mayor of New York talk like that in a little of it.
- 31:07So have you worked with the NYPD of late? Yes, we have.
- 31:11In fact, we just have a coordinating a presentation. Now, y're they're
- 31:18more best actors universe. They don't have. They have very few, only
- 31:22for their SWAD team. Every officer needs one because you can now see that
- 31:26New York is under attack. I don't know how many officers we've had killed.
- 31:30Just sitting at an intersection, are just patrolling in an area. You
- 31:36say, why do you say under attack? What you need to understand is
- 31:40this alex is we have now such an influx of gangs, first time in
- 31:45history that we have had major games like MS thirteen. Do you get on
- 31:52the twenty others that are now coordinating and working together. You remember, technically
- 31:56they hate each other, but now they figure it out the best way to
- 31:59do is a partner together, share in the proceeds to what comes in and
- 32:04dominate. And they're doing that. They're doing that all over the country,
- 32:07but especially New York. Part of their initiation is not just to go rob
- 32:13the store, say look, I've run it a hundred bucks to kill a
- 32:15cop. So now you understand why there's such a thread on the lives of
- 32:21officers. We're going to make sure we deal with that. In the next
- 32:24couple of weeks. We'll be handing out best to the NYPD. But and
- 32:29I'd love to be there for that presentation, if you don't mind, I'd
- 32:31love to be there to cover that and I meet with you in person.
- 32:35That would be great. Love. Do we have John Cassamandias, who you
- 32:38know, one of the big billionaires in this country who owns I'm good friends
- 32:45with. He works on I work with him at the radio station on at
- 32:49so I'm very very familiar and he's a great guy, and I know that
- 32:52he wants to do everything and kind of support law enforcement on that note,
- 32:57isn't it isn't it wild? And I'm sure and you're years of experience.
- 33:00I don't know how many traffic traffic stops you got to make, but I
- 33:04think of the best so important now on the traffic stop, because that's where
- 33:07a lot of the crime is happening, right And that's that's jarring to me.
- 33:12It is amazing what I have seen over the years. Didn't have it
- 33:15has changed. Old days, you make a traffic stop and that was it,
- 33:22you know, very cordial, very nice. Nowadays, I have seen
- 33:27all over the country where you make a traffic stop, and I've seen officers.
- 33:31Of course what I've seen by I've seen them their video, their camcorders
- 33:35record this. They'll walk up and they'll say, you know why I stopped
- 33:39you. It'd be like a this what's really secury, Alex. It'll be
- 33:44like a car, a little kid you know, don't care and next thing
- 33:46you know, they pulled out a gun, they blasted the coppyway. That's
- 33:51what we're facing. That's the kind of mentality that we're facing. Of course,
- 33:53mainstream media has been a big part of that by making people think that
- 33:59cop turing competent, that they're racist, their biggots, et cetera, et
- 34:02cetera. That's what led to the defund the police matter. If you're that
- 34:07bad, why am I paying you? And of course now that you've got
- 34:09to defund the beliefe and so we are really in trouble in this country.
- 34:15We usually have one point two to one point three million sworn officers across this
- 34:22land. We're down to seven hundred thousand and it keeps dropping. We can't
- 34:25find anybody that wants to step up to the plate to wear the badge anymore.
- 34:30So we're in trouble. Alex I talked with Sergety Betsey Smith about this
- 34:34and how now departments want the illegal immigrants to be part. Now. I
- 34:38have mixed feelings on that. Because there are immigrants here that want to help
- 34:42the cause and protect the people, then I'm all for that, but we're
- 34:45worried about that kind of optimism when it comes to them. During the forces,
- 34:49right, I agree, So I will take you from my perspective.
- 34:52I think it's a very bad idea. You can't ask somebody that's breaking the
- 34:55law to enforce it to everybody else. Makes no sense, I would agree.
- 35:00There Now one last thing, and tomorrow is the big one, because
- 35:04President Trump is supposed to accept the nomination and make a speech. A.
- 35:07Have you been involved with supplying best to those at the RNC convention? Because
- 35:12there are officers from across the country at the r n C protecting the perimeter
- 35:16and B what are you looking for and what are you obviously hoping for as
- 35:22far as the security protections that we might hear about tomorrow for the for his
- 35:27nomination speech. I mean, it's going to be a big deal to see
- 35:29him back out there and more importantly how secure the area is? Right?
- 35:32Correct to answer both of your questions, Alec. First of all, yes,
- 35:37a lot of those officers are waring best that we provided, and we're
- 35:39very grateful to be able to do that. What are we looking forward out
- 35:43of the presentation and the acceptance from the president more of what he currently is
- 35:49all about. You know, I've never seen a president and have talked to
- 35:52him quite a few times. Never seen a president so committed to law and
- 35:57order in our first responders, is this president. He's going to reaffirm that
- 36:00commitment. He's going to make sure that America understands you're fearful. Now,
- 36:06you're fearful of violence. Most people, that is the number one issue when
- 36:09you're talking about their concerning and this coming upcoming election. They don't feel safe.
- 36:14And he's going to outline how that we can back our law enforcement,
- 36:17make sure that we have what we need for law enforcement, restore the respect
- 36:22that they so rightly deserve, and bring back law and order and reduce his
- 36:27violent crime streak that's happening across America today. Well, I'll tell you what,
- 36:31I'd love you to come back maybe even now Monday or Tuesday after this
- 36:36hearing with the Secret Service, if you like what you said, what she
- 36:38had to say to the House and to Congress. I think it's going to
- 36:42be a really it's going to be such an important hearing that everybody should be
- 36:45tuning in, right. I agree, Alex, And it will be very
- 36:49interesting to come back on your show. From this standpoint, she's scrambling right
- 36:52now, she keeps changing the story about every hour because he's trying to figure
- 36:57out what's the best one that's going to satisfy the American people. And I'm
- 37:01not so sure you're going to be able to come up with a story that's
- 37:05going to satisfy the American people. They want to know the truth, and
- 37:07if the truth is nefarious, then we better fix it. Well. Michael
- 37:13Let's founder, CEO of invest Ei n v E s USA, thanks so
- 37:17much for joining my podcast on the Scare Podcast Network. Thank you so much,
- 37:22DS. You keep it up. You work. God bless you,
- 37:25God bless America. Look forward to seeing you in New York.
