- 0:00Today we have Chapter 9 from the book of Daniel.
- 0:05Dear Lord, please. Give us.
- 0:08Lots of wisdom and insight as we cover this chapter.
- 0:13Very challenging one. Help us to understand what you
- 0:17want us to know from this chapter.
- 0:19We ask this in Jesus name, Amen. So I will read.
- 0:25I'm actually not going to read from the NIV version that I have
- 0:29the Bible that I have, and I'm going to read from the New King
- 0:33James Version online because there are some things that are
- 0:38important this time that to cover.
- 0:42So this is about Daniel's. Prayer for the people it's.
- 0:46In Daniel Chapter 9 verse one in the.
- 0:50First year of Darius. The son of.
- 0:53Azurus, Xerxes is what it. Says in the NIV version.
- 1:01Of the lineage of the. Medes, who is made king over the
- 1:05realm of the Chaldeans. This.
- 1:09Is kind of interesting too if you look up the Chaldeans
- 1:12because it's it's kind of like it stretches over multiple
- 1:18current lands today, like portions of different lands.
- 1:23Such as? Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria.
- 1:29So it's it's really interesting. That he was made king.
- 1:35Over the. I mean, it was in the year of
- 1:38the king who covered that, that realm of the Chaldeans.
- 1:43So in the 1st. Year of his reign I.
- 1:45Daniel understood by the books the number of years specified by
- 1:51the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that he
- 1:55would accomplish 70 years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
- 2:01So Daniel was apparently studying the books.
- 2:04The prophetic books. That Jeremiah.
- 2:06Had written he had access to those, and he understood that it
- 2:09was. Going to be 70 years that they
- 2:11were going to not have Jerusalem.
- 2:15So then verse 3 says then I set my face.
- 2:19Toward the Lord God to. Make request by prayer and
- 2:24supplications with fasting sackcloth and ashes.
- 2:31This is. Something like sackcloth and
- 2:33ashes is more of a sign of mourning.
- 2:36That's what they would do. And fasting.
- 2:39Throughout Scripture we see. Occasionally where they fast and
- 2:42they pray and that's something. That I think is probably.
- 2:45Important for us. Today as well.
- 2:47As I'm learning more about that, just understanding fasting, but
- 2:52it seems like when people really wanted to reach God and when
- 2:58they had visions and communications with God, often
- 3:02it seems like fasting was involved and then.
- 3:06Jesus also said. When you get into the other side
- 3:09of things, when he was healing someone who had demons, he said
- 3:14that they these kind only come out through prayer and fasting.
- 3:19So prayer and fasting seems to have some kind of a connection
- 3:26in the spiritual realm with with God.
- 3:29Or maybe I I don't quite understand it, but I'm just
- 3:33observing that it talks about it in Scripture.
- 3:38So in verse 4. It says and I prayed.
- 3:40To the Lord my. God and made confession and.
- 3:43Said. O Lord.
- 3:44Great and awesome God who keeps his covenant and mercy.
- 3:48With those who love him. And.
- 3:51With those who keep his. Commandments.
- 3:55So here also Daniel is. Recognizing that God is great,
- 4:02He's awesome, He keeps his covenant, and He shows mercy to
- 4:08those who love him. And those who keep his.
- 4:11Commandments, I think that's important too, is that he has
- 4:14mercy on those who love him. And those who keep.
- 4:17His commandments. There are rewards for.
- 4:21Being obedient to God, essentially we have sinned and
- 4:26committed iniquity. We have done wickedly and.
- 4:30We have done wickedly and. Rebelled even by departing from
- 4:34your precepts and your judgments.
- 4:37Neither have we heeded. Your servants, the prophets.
- 4:40Who spoke? In your name to our kings and
- 4:43our Princess, to our fathers and all the people of the land.
- 4:47So Daniel's just recognizing that, you know, we didn't
- 4:51listen. To the prophets who spoke.
- 4:53In your name, and who came to the kings, and our Princess, and
- 4:57our fathers. And all the people so.
- 4:59There were lots of warnings, but the people did not listen to
- 5:03that and Daniel is recognizing that he's speaking on behalf of
- 5:07his nation to God in verse 7, it says.
- 5:11O. Lord, righteousness belongs.
- 5:13To you, but to us. Shame of face.
- 5:18As it is this day. To the men of Judah, to the
- 5:21inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far
- 5:27off, in all the countries in which you have driven them.
- 5:30Because again, we always he's Daniel's understanding.
- 5:35Why God did this? Because.
- 5:38Of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against you.
- 5:43So Jeremiah talked about it. So I'm sure as Daniel's reading
- 5:48this, he's seeing. That OK, we did get what God
- 5:51said would happen. Through Jeremiah, and it's
- 5:53because of our unfaithfulness. Verse 8.
- 5:57O Lord, to us belongs. Shame of face to our.
- 6:02Kings, our Princess and our fathers, because we have sinned
- 6:05against you. To the Lord our God.
- 6:08Belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against
- 6:13him, so he's recognizing that God does have mercy.
- 6:18And he does have forgiveness. Even though people have rebelled
- 6:22against him, in verse 10, he says we have not obeyed the
- 6:27voice. Of the Lord our God to.
- 6:29Walk in his laws. Which he set before us.
- 6:33By his servants, the prophets. The prophets were.
- 6:37Always pointing people. Back to God's laws.
- 6:40And telling them that they needed to essentially repent,
- 6:43turn to God, and become obedient to the.
- 6:47Laws. In verse 11 it says yes, all
- 6:50Israel has transgressed, transgressed your law and has
- 6:54departed so as not to. Obey your voice, therefore the
- 6:59curse. And the oath written in the law
- 7:02of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us
- 7:07because we have sinned against him.
- 7:10So I was curious like. Where is that curse written?
- 7:14And you can find that. I guess in a.
- 7:18Couple of different places that curses and sworn judgments.
- 7:21You can find it in Leviticus chapter 26 verse 33 and
- 7:26Deuteronomy chapter 28. Verses 63 through 60. 7.
- 7:32Is what the study Bible? Refers to and so.
- 7:35If you want to find out what the curses.
- 7:37And judgments were in the. There were blessings and curses
- 7:41that were pronounced. In those books.
- 7:44Deuteronomy and Leviticus. So verse 12 and he.
- 7:48Has confirmed his words. Which he spoke.
- 7:51Against us and against. Our judges who judged us.
- 7:55By bringing upon us a great. Disaster for under the whole.
- 8:00Heaven, such has never been done.
- 8:03As to what? Has been done to Jerusalem.
- 8:07So Jerusalem saw a complete devastation, they all.
- 8:11Were exiled from there and. You know, just like Jeremiah had
- 8:15warned them in verse 13. As it is.
- 8:18Written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us.
- 8:23Yet. We have not made our.
- 8:25Prayer before the Lord our. God, that we might turn from our
- 8:31iniquities and understand your truth.
- 8:34That's always the objective, like when God puts people
- 8:38through trials or he allows people to suffer, He's.
- 8:41Wanting them to wake up. To realize that his laws are.
- 8:46Good. And to come into agreement, come
- 8:51into covenant with him. To say yes, God, I, I agree with
- 8:56your laws. I want to follow them.
- 8:58I want to be obedient. That's what God is ultimately
- 9:02looking for as somebody to turn to Him.
- 9:04And Daniel's recognizing this. He's he said we.
- 9:07Haven't done it. We haven't prayed, we haven't
- 9:09turned and and then. Therefore they have what?
- 9:14They are experiencing verse 14 says therefore the Lord has.
- 9:18Kept the. Disaster in mind and brought it
- 9:21upon us. For the Lord our God.
- 9:23Is righteous in all the. Works, which he does though.
- 9:29We have not obeyed his. Voice.
- 9:31He keeps reminding, he keeps repeating that about we have not
- 9:35been obedient and God is righteous and.
- 9:39Because of that all this. Disaster is coming on us in
- 9:43verse 15 and now our. O Lord our God, who brought your
- 9:48people out of. The land of Egypt with a mighty
- 9:51hand and made yourself a name. As it is this day we have.
- 9:57Sinned we have done wickedly. O Lord, according to.
- 10:02All your righteousness, I pray. Let your anger and your fury.
- 10:08Be turned away from your city, Jerusalem, your holy mountain.
- 10:12Because for our. Sins and for the iniquities.
- 10:15Of our. Fathers, Jerusalem and your
- 10:18people. Are reproach to all those.
- 10:21Around us now, therefore our God.
- 10:23Hear the prayer of your. Servant and his supplications,
- 10:27and for the Lord's. Sake cause your face to.
- 10:31Shine on your sanctuary Which? Is desolate.
- 10:35Oh my. God incline your ear and.
- 10:38Hear open your. Eyes and see our desolations and
- 10:42the city. Which is called by your.
- 10:44Name. For we do not present our.
- 10:47Supplications before you. Because of our righteous deeds,
- 10:51but because of your great. Mercies.
- 10:56So he's saying. You know, like I can't.
- 10:58Justify this I can't justify. Anything.
- 11:01There's no righteous deeds. That we have to give you.
- 11:04We're asking. You know I'm asking this.
- 11:05Because of. Your great mercies.
- 11:07I'm asking for you to have mercy on us.
- 11:10A lot. Of times I think we can probably
- 11:11end up praying like that to God too.
- 11:14In verse 19 he says. O Lord, here, O Lord, forgive, O
- 11:18Lord. Listen and act, do not delay.
- 11:21For your own sake my. God for your.
- 11:24City and your people. Are called by your.
- 11:27Name so all along God. Always said he would have.
- 11:32He would have a name. For himself, his name would be
- 11:34honored, and he would Jerusalem would be his.
- 11:37Place and I think Daniel. 'S probably recognizing that and
- 11:40saying, you know? How is this?
- 11:41Happening now God's own. City that he.
- 11:45Claimed you know is is being destroyed and no one's allowed
- 11:53to stay there anymore. Because they were disobedient.
- 11:56Now here comes the 70 weeks prophecy, and there's a.
- 12:01Lot to talk about here. Now, while I was speaking,
- 12:06praying and confessing my. Sin.
- 12:09And the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication
- 12:14before the Lord. My God, for the holy.
- 12:16Mountain of my God, yes, while I while.
- 12:20I was speaking in. Prayer, Gabriel.
- 12:24I'm going to skip over. Because this this version.
- 12:26Says the man. Gabriel, but the other one just
- 12:29says Gabriel which I believe. Was an Angel, so it's another
- 12:35translation issue. But yes, while I was speaking in
- 12:38prayer, Gabriel whom? I had.
- 12:41Seen. In the vision at the beginning,
- 12:44being caused to fly swiftly reached me about the time of the
- 12:50evening offering. And he?
- 12:53Informed me and talked with. Me and said.
- 12:57Oh Daniel, I have now come. Forth to give you skill.
- 13:02To understand we know that angels according to the Bible.
- 13:06Are messengers. They're messengers from God.
- 13:08Just like before where the. Angel, I don't know if.
- 13:12It was. Before but I talked about.
- 13:13It in a prior chapter. It may be coming up where it
- 13:17said as soon as you prayed. We basically.
- 13:19Came, but we were resisted by the king of Persia.
- 13:24This is something in the. Spiritual realm that was
- 13:26happening. So in verse 23.
- 13:28It says at the. Beginning of this is the the
- 13:33Gabriel still speaking at the beginning.
- 13:34Of your supplications, the command.
- 13:36Went out. And I have come to.
- 13:38Tell you for you are greatly beloved therefore.
- 13:43Consider the matter and understand the vision.
- 13:47Now he gives them the prophecy 70 weeks.
- 13:51Now another thing is called 70 sevens and it actually in Hebrew
- 13:57it it is called Sabua and I will I guess I could play that Sabua.
- 14:06Strong's Age, 7620. Chavua.
- 14:10Chavua. OK Shavuot, I was saying it
- 14:13wrong. Anyway, it's a 7 or a period of.
- 14:16Seven days or years or weeks, so that's where.
- 14:20We get these. You know the the.
- 14:23Seven years instead of so 70 sevens, but it's called here 70
- 14:30weeks are determined, but that has been understood to actually
- 14:36be years so. Year, I guess. 70, yeah, 70
- 14:47weeks. OK, 70 weeks.
- 14:50OK. Are determined for your people
- 14:52and. For your holy city.
- 14:55To finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make
- 15:00reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting
- 15:06righteousness. To seal up.
- 15:08Vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy so there's
- 15:13a lot of things that are determined for these 70 weeks
- 15:16Caesar Daniel's final 70 weeks in prophecy and there's a whole
- 15:23lot of things that happen so I'll I'll just.
- 15:25Repeat what it said. It's for your people.
- 15:28And for your holy city to finish the transgression, which you
- 15:35know, it doesn't seem like that has happened yet to make an end
- 15:39of sins that hasn't happened yet to make reconciliation.
- 15:45For iniquity, will that happen? With Jesus's death on the cross
- 15:50to bring in everlasting righteousness will the people.
- 15:57Judah, the tribe of Judah. Are the people?
- 16:00Who are in exile? I wouldn't say they.
- 16:02Are we are? Seeing Everlasting Righteousness
- 16:06right now, I don't think that's happened.
- 16:08To seal up. Vision and prophecy.
- 16:12I think you know Jesus when he fulfills as he said before that
- 16:19he came to fulfill the law and what the prophet said.
- 16:23So until Jesus returns. This.
- 16:27Is not going to be sealed up. The prophecy is not going to be
- 16:30not going to end until. Jesus fulfills it.
- 16:33And it says and to anoint the most holy.
- 16:37So that's an interesting thing. There's lots of different ways
- 16:41to interpret that, so I'm not going to.
- 16:43Because there's lots of ways. So verse 25 then says now
- 16:47therefore and know therefore and understand that from the going
- 16:54forth of the command to. Restore.
- 16:58And build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince.
- 17:04There shall be 7 weeks and 62 weeks the.
- 17:10Street or the open square? Shall be built again and the the
- 17:18word it actually could mean Moat and this is really interesting.
- 17:25So it says the the open. Square shall be built again, and
- 17:28the Moat even in troublesome times.
- 17:32Now, there's something that is very interesting about this as.
- 17:38I did in the prior. Podcast I found like just
- 17:41different translation things that seem to make sense about
- 17:44all these numbers of years and I started to do that in this for
- 17:49these looking at the 70 weeks and the. 62 plus the. 7 sevens
- 17:56and and it. As I did I.
- 18:01Recalled that there were some. Other people great resources
- 18:05that did way. More investigation on this and
- 18:10actually went into what? The earlier church.
- 18:14When you say. Church Fathers, the earlier
- 18:16believers. What they had researched and
- 18:19actually has something very interesting, a ton of research.
- 18:24In fact, he the author. Of this book has written what
- 18:33has written a couple different books that I think if you're
- 18:36interested in this and to learn more about this and to see
- 18:40another. Thought about how this could be
- 18:45fulfilled. And you may really want to look
- 18:48at it. Because he.
- 18:50Comes up with a lot of evidence that supports that this, this 70
- 18:58or this. This week, that everybody.
- 19:00'S looking forward to in Bible prophecy started in 2020 and.
- 19:08He's his theory, I will say, is that we are actually.
- 19:12In the tribulation and he gives some examples of why and the
- 19:17things that we may have missed. And I think it's it's.
- 19:21True that we all need to, really.
- 19:22Humble ourselves in terms of thinking we know the way that
- 19:27it's going to play out. Because if we.
- 19:30Remember what happened when Jesus came the first time is the
- 19:36many people Jewish people didn't recognize the way that he came
- 19:43and they. Thought he's going to be.
- 19:45Coming in as a powerful commander, he's going to, you
- 19:48know, change everything and yes. That is what Jesus is.
- 19:52Going to do when he returns, but they were anticipating that it
- 19:56was going to happen right away right then and it didn't and so.
- 20:01Likewise, I think we all need to be very humble and even if we've
- 20:07been taught something. Through others that we should
- 20:11just be. Open minded always.
- 20:13Stick to the word of. God and you know, check it
- 20:18against. What the word of God?
- 20:20Says and it's. It's interesting because this.
- 20:23Author's website is called. End times are not end times.
- 20:27Well, I think it's called No, I'm end times Berean.
- 20:31Now I'm forgetting what is actually it's called because I
- 20:35think it is the anyway, I was going to give you his I think it
- 20:43is N times Berean. So yeah, EN d * t IMES Berean
- 20:51BER ean and the Bereans, if you aren't aware they were actually.
- 20:57People who would always. Take what was spoken about the
- 21:01gospel and when it was given to people.
- 21:05They were always double. Checking with scripture.
- 21:08To see what people were. Saying they were known for that.
- 21:12And so anyway, this is his website, endtimesberean.com.
- 21:20Is. Something you might want to
- 21:22check. Out because he gives it's like.
- 21:26You can download the book for. Free or you can buy.
- 21:29It the manuscript is called Witnessing the End and it is 448
- 21:36pages long, but you can download it and.
- 21:41Go through. And find these chapters that
- 21:45really go into depth about the. Let's see, I think it might be
- 21:52page 167 if you. Start there.
- 21:56Specifically, that relates to the decree to rebuild.
- 22:03Jerusalem. It's actually page 155, but on
- 22:09the. PDF if you type.
- 22:10In 167 out of the four. 48 You'll get to the right page.
- 22:14The decree. The decree to rebuild.
- 22:17Jerusalem that everyone missed and this is where there's new
- 22:22information that you have not heard before unless you've been
- 22:25to his website because I've not seen anyone that.
- 22:29Has noticed this or brought this up but he gives all the.
- 22:34Factual information and it was the restoration and rebuilding
- 22:38of Jerusalem around 1537 AD and then when he plugs in these
- 22:46days. He gets.
- 22:47To the year 2020 and his. I guess his theory is that 2027
- 22:59would be when. Jesus would.
- 23:01Return and it's. It's interesting because I.
- 23:05Actually discovered this author a while ago.
- 23:10And from a video. Because he also has a.
- 23:14YouTube account and so it's the same name end time spree and if
- 23:19you want to check out any of. His YouTube videos.
- 23:21But what happened? And I'm going to segue for a
- 23:24minute again, but what happened? Is because of.
- 23:29Something that happened to me and I just.
- 23:30Caught a video of his. And it caught my attention
- 23:35simply because I had this dream. I had this.
- 23:38Dream in 2021 and it happened on 7.
- 23:44Days after I got baptized. I had a dream about being at an
- 23:50engagement party that I knew. Was for me.
- 23:53And here's the interesting thing.
- 23:56Over time, I didn't quite understand this dream and I
- 24:00really didn't think anything of it until other things.
- 24:04I started studying more end times and then I started
- 24:10wondering if this is related in any way.
- 24:14And it may or it may not be, but I can tell you that having that
- 24:17dream, it wasn't just a an isolated dream.
- 24:21The very night of my baptism, I had a dream that was the very
- 24:24first spiritual dream that I had with the name of Jesus in it.
- 24:29And then this stream didn't have the name of Jesus in it.
- 24:32So that's why I wasn't sure that it was anything.
- 24:35Related biblically, but it was. Interesting that it occurred
- 24:41seven days after my baptism. And if you think about like a
- 24:45Galilean wedding is seven days a week long.
- 24:49And then in this stream, I was surprised.
- 24:54I didn't know how this happened, but interestingly enough that I
- 24:59had made the commitment to God that I wasn't going.
- 25:02To be an A hypocrite. Anymore.
- 25:04And that's what my baptism was. So then seven days later I had
- 25:09this dream about an engagement and.
- 25:14But there's this. Counter There's this bar in my
- 25:17dream. There's a little bit more to it,
- 25:19but not much, and there's a date or a placard on the.
- 25:23Bar. That has a date on it and it was
- 25:2612 blank, 2026. And that was just the strangest
- 25:32thing, like. I had the.
- 25:34Stream in 2021. I'm not thinking about 2026.
- 25:38But it just like this. Dream stayed with me.
- 25:41It was one. It was.
- 25:42A very vivid, very detailed. Dream and there was more details
- 25:45to it, but I won't bore you with that.
- 25:47But that date just stood out and so over time there were
- 25:53different interactions that I had.
- 25:56With people randomly that. I wasn't necessarily seeking,
- 26:02but something would all of a sudden make me recall that
- 26:06dream. And one of the things that later
- 26:09on, sometime later, I can't remember how long, I, I was
- 26:14always thinking, OK, so December 2026 was my initial thought.
- 26:19And then later on I. Realized that what if this was
- 26:23actually a Hebrew? Date and which?
- 26:2712 would be the day. And then there was a blank don't
- 26:31know what month and then 2026 and so I thought.
- 26:35Oh, I wonder if there's anything.
- 26:36That's significant about, you know, the 12th day of some, you
- 26:41know, month in the year of 2026. So I found that.
- 26:48If you look up the Jewish holidays that.
- 26:51Are coming up in 2026. Rosh Hashanah is on September
- 26:5812th, 2026. It's actually September 11th
- 27:02through 13th, so. There's like a three day.
- 27:04Span of Rosh Hashanah, the feast of trumpets.
- 27:08That's very interesting when you talk about end times eschatology
- 27:14and. There's theories that obviously
- 27:16that. People think that Jesus may
- 27:18return sometime on a year, you know, during the.
- 27:21Fall festivals or the fall? Feast so I just.
- 27:25Thought that was a really. Interesting coincidence, and I'm
- 27:30never going to Not until the end of 2026 will I know whether this
- 27:35was just some. Crazy dream that I.
- 27:37Had that meant absolutely nothing or if this was something
- 27:44that is real and actually is coming up and it seems hard to
- 27:50believe because there's just, I mean, there's a lot of things
- 27:55that are prophetically happening.
- 27:57There's no doubt about the things that are forming.
- 28:00That are prophetically but it's so hard to.
- 28:03Think that something like that could potentially happen next
- 28:08year, but it could and it won't be until the end until.
- 28:13The year is completed whether? That'll be like gone from my
- 28:16mind anymore. But the important part is, I
- 28:19mean like people. Would say, well, why would God
- 28:22do that? Well, obviously God has.
- 28:24Spoken to people in the past to warn them and from that when I
- 28:30started making those connections about eschatology and studying
- 28:35that and start seeing all the things that are prophetically
- 28:38happening right now, I started talking to people about knowing
- 28:43Christ I mean that's the important part is that if we're.
- 28:47Clueless. And we're going along in life
- 28:49and have no idea. That Jesus is a potentially, you
- 28:54know, could. Return at any moment, which is
- 28:56the condition I was in before I started studying this I I didn't
- 29:00even know Jesus was ever going to return again I mean, the only
- 29:03thing that I thought would ever happen in my life is that
- 29:05someday I would die and at the point before I read the.
- 29:08Bible. I was just.
- 29:09Hoping that God would think I was good enough.
- 29:12I didn't even understand salvation and so finally when I
- 29:16read the Bible and I understood salvation and then these things
- 29:22started happening so many things.
- 29:25And anyway, it's 2026 has been on my mind since 2021 and it's.
- 29:33A good. Part of the reason why I
- 29:36committed to doing. These podcasts.
- 29:40That I started back in 2020. Two, I think is when I started
- 29:44them and it's. Just to keep me focused.
- 29:47And to keep my eyes on this. So anyway, it's something that
- 29:51we're actually called. To do to read scripture.
- 29:54But. This.
- 29:57Finding this Christa his I can't remember his name too I.
- 30:03Apologize, but it's. Christian Weidner is the name.
- 30:08Of the author. He has a PhD and he's has this.
- 30:13It's called Witnessing the end. Daniels, 70 sevens and the final
- 30:20decree everyone missed and it's really good.
- 30:25There's there's so much detail in there.
- 30:27If you want something that you can really check, double check.
- 30:31He's done so much research that obviously.
- 30:35There's 448. Pages here, so it's very.
- 30:38Well researched. And he's educated, obviously.
- 30:43And it's it's something definitely worth looking at,
- 30:48especially if you know the. If if.
- 30:53People are not prepared personally if if, if a person
- 30:58doesn't have the Holy Spirit, if they don't have a a relationship
- 31:03with Jesus, if they don't believe yet.
- 31:06I mean, this is potentially, this could be a.
- 31:10Significant. Year coming up, then there's one
- 31:12more what someone else I think that has a.
- 31:17Doctorate as. Well, that I would recommend
- 31:21taking a look at because. He has some.
- 31:22Really great studies. And this is his name is Ken
- 31:27Johnson, and he has a. Website called Bible Facts dot.
- 31:32Org It's just. Spelled out Bible.
- 31:35Facts.org and he's done a lot of research.
- 31:40With the Dead Sea. Scrolls and if people aren't
- 31:43familiar with that, I think it was about the same time that
- 31:47Israel became a nation or very. Close to it there was a cave
- 31:51where they actually. Found some pottery that contains
- 31:54some scrolls and. There are numerous scrolls.
- 31:58That have been found and what the scrolls are doing are
- 32:01actually supporting that what we are reading in our Bibles today.
- 32:05Are actually accurate. Enough to the main you know,
- 32:09there might be some words here and there like we do find out.
- 32:12As I was. Talking about in the last
- 32:14podcast but overall the message throughout the Bible has not
- 32:20changed and. So he does a lot of very, very.
- 32:23Deep Studies on Monday nights. He has a YouTube channel also so
- 32:28if you want to listen to any of his studies about some of the
- 32:31different. Books, but he gets really.
- 32:32In depth in more like prophetic books and eschatology and the
- 32:37one thing that is important or significant also.
- 32:42To the year of. This year coming up 2020. 6 Is
- 32:48that historically throughout the Bible, what he through the Dead
- 32:53Sea Scrolls there was a group called the.
- 32:55Essenes who were a sect. Of believers who.
- 33:01Had a calendar and apparently. All these.
- 33:04Significant events line up specifically on different.
- 33:11Feast days of the. Calendar.
- 33:13I mean, it's there's. A lot of research.
- 33:15Again, and there's an he actually has an interactive
- 33:18calendar from the made from what he found in the Dead Sea Scrolls
- 33:23that you can actually interact with and go back and look like
- 33:27any date and ever any year and see what the calendar was from
- 33:32the dead. Sea Scrolls.
- 33:33The Essenes. Time versus today and also like
- 33:37what the Jewish calendar or the Pharisees calendar is.
- 33:41So it has like 3 calendars in one.
- 33:43Hard to explain. I'm not doing a good job of
- 33:45that, but. If you go to the website.
- 33:46It'll all make sense anyway. These are just a couple of
- 33:50resources. But one of the things that Ken
- 33:52Johnson discovered was that on Jubilee years, when there was a
- 33:58transition between the 50 years, there were sometimes very
- 34:03significant prophetic things that happened.
- 34:06And so again, that just makes this 2026 the beginning of a new
- 34:13Jubilee year. I think it's in March of 2026.
- 34:17And. So certainly there's if
- 34:20historically. Things have happened on that
- 34:2350th year mark, then this is one of those cycles that everyone's
- 34:29should be watching. So again, the whole point of it
- 34:33is not so much to be date setting, although the only
- 34:37reason I have any date is because one showed up in my
- 34:39dream. I didn't ask.
- 34:41For it. But it did show up and I can't
- 34:44ignore it. Because I've had over, I think
- 34:49it's like 80. Seven dreams now.
- 34:52That were like biblical. Kind of dreams were Jesus name.
- 34:57The power of Jesus was. In my dream and lots of
- 35:03different things. I mean, I'm not going to get
- 35:05into all of that, but I don't, I haven't just.
- 35:08Had like a couple. Dreams here or there, it's been
- 35:11ever since the night. That I got baptized.
- 35:13And they happen when I have no expectation of them and I can go
- 35:18stretches where I don't have them and all of a sudden want to
- 35:21pop up. So I I was noticing that they
- 35:24were certainly happening in times that were written down on
- 35:31like special times on the Dead Sea Scroll calendar.
- 35:35So I did notice that when I was trying to figure out they seemed
- 35:38very random and then I started noticing that there were they
- 35:42were occurring on. Close to those states, so.
- 35:44Very strange whatever has been happening to me since I.
- 35:47Got baptized. As far as dreams go and anyway,
- 35:52so I can't ignore it because of those things.
- 35:56And so that's the whole reason why I do what I do and.
- 36:01Why? I really hope that you will.
- 36:06Take the next step and. Really dig deeper if you.
- 36:09You aren't at a. Place where you are, where you
- 36:11say that are, where you know. That that you are a believer and
- 36:15that. You have the Holy Spirit.
- 36:17I mean, that's really the only preparation that any of us need
- 36:20to have is have a relationship with God, to acknowledge Jesus
- 36:28and never, you know, never disclaim him, never, you know,
- 36:33just make sure that you truly believe and if you truly
- 36:38believe, he will send the. Holy Spirit, so that's.
- 36:42The only preparation and. As we have talked about.
- 36:45Here that you know if. If you have the holy.
- 36:48Spirit, you're going to start to be more obedient than you were.
- 36:51Before you had the holy. Spirit.
- 36:53But it does say that remember in verse.
- 36:57Let's see I forgot what verse it is.
- 36:59Verse 4 it said Lord the great. And awesome God who keeps his
- 37:04covenant of love with. Those who love.
- 37:06Him and keep his commandments so.
- 37:11Jesus also said if you. Love me, obey my commandments.
- 37:13So there is a connection between us obeying God, which is showing
- 37:21God that we love Him so. And God does protect and he has
- 37:25mercy, and he can shelter and he can provide for anyone who is,
- 37:33who's committed to him, who has decided that yes, I want.
- 37:37You God to be the. Lord over my life.
- 37:40So I encourage you if you're not there yet to, you know, I guess.
- 37:47Subscribe to the podcast. Because I'll be in the.
- 37:50Word every day. I mean, that's my goal at least.
- 37:53And. Read the Bible for yourself.
- 37:55I mean, it's not you can't do any of this through anyone else.
- 37:58You just need a relationship directly with God.
- 38:00Anyone needs a relationship directly with.
- 38:02God. And so that's the important part
- 38:05is. To pray to God.
- 38:07But it staying in the. Word grows our faith.
- 38:11So that's why it's so important. So I've rambled again, I'm going
- 38:15to go back to verse 25 and and then we'll wrap it up and I'll
- 38:20go through the study guide and the questions and answers that
- 38:24they address. So in verse 25 from Daniel
- 38:28Chapter 9 know therefore and understand that from the going
- 38:32forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until.
- 38:35Messiah, the Prince there. Shall be 7 weeks and 62 weeks
- 38:40this. The Plaza shall be built.
- 38:42Again, and the Moat, even in troublesome times.
- 38:47Verse 26. And after the 60.
- 38:49Two weeks. Messiah shall be cut off.
- 38:52But not for himself and the people of the.
- 38:55Prince. Who is to come shall destroy the
- 38:58city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall.
- 39:02Be. With the flood, or maybe it's
- 39:05like a flood, I'm not sure. And until the end of the war,
- 39:10desolations are determined. That's very much like what Jesus
- 39:14said in Matthew 24. There will be.
- 39:16Wars and rumors of. Wars.
- 39:17That's all going to continue until the end.
- 39:20In verse 27 it says then he shall confirm a covenant with
- 39:24many for one week, but in the middle.
- 39:27Of the week he shall. Bring an end to sacrifice and
- 39:30offering, and on the wing of abominations shall be one who
- 39:34makes desolate even until the. Consummation which is determined
- 39:38is. Poured out on the desolate.
- 39:41There's a lot. Of interpretation on that and
- 39:44what I've. Understood is that this does
- 39:49refer to the lawless. One or the Antichrist that has
- 39:53been talked about. It also return talks about the
- 39:57return of. Jesus talks the Messiah.
- 40:00Shall be cut off has. Been understood to mean when
- 40:03Jesus died on the cross and it makes sense when it says but not
- 40:08for himself. Like he died on the cross for us
- 40:11and. So there's a lot more.
- 40:13Interpretation here, but I'm just.
- 40:14Going to read what? The study Bible has to say about
- 40:17that. And.
- 40:17Those. Other resources that I provided.
- 40:21With endtimesparian.com and Bible facts.
- 40:26Dot org those two websites. There's going to be a lot more
- 40:29information for. You very well researched.
- 40:32OK, now the questions and answers from the Study Bible why
- 40:37did Jeremiah Jeremiah. 'S prophecy.
- 40:41Prompt Daniel to pray, Jeremiah had assured the people that the
- 40:46captivity would end after 70 years since the first captives
- 40:52have been taken from Jerusalem. About 538 BC.
- 40:58Daniel realized the. 70 years were nearly over.
- 41:02Since repentance was required. Before God would.
- 41:05Return his people to their homeland.
- 41:07Daniel repented as if everyone of Judah sins had been his own.
- 41:13That's kind of interesting. That the study Bible.
- 41:15Points that out because. That's applicable to us.
- 41:18Too, we need to repent. We need to recognize.
- 41:22That we. Have been rebellious to God and
- 41:26ask for forgiveness. I mean, that's very key to
- 41:28repairing our relationship. With God OK?
- 41:31Next question, why did Daniel. Plead with God.
- 41:34In fasting and in sackcloth. And ashes.
- 41:39Help. Why did?
- 41:40Daniel plead with God in fasting and in sackcloth and.
- 41:44Ashes help to. Change God's mind.
- 41:46These practices had had. Long been signs of mourning in
- 41:51the Middle Eastern. Culture, Daniel.
- 41:53Was expressing his grief and shame.
- 41:56Over the. Sins of the people.
- 41:58He was not trying to. Impress God with self denial.
- 42:02Expressing sincere grief for. Sin is still.
- 42:05Appropriate, whether or not it's done with fasting, cloth and
- 42:09ashes. Why did Daniel consider himself
- 42:12guilty for the nation's sin which he had not committed?
- 42:17Confessing on behalf of the Jewish nation was a long
- 42:20standing. Practice of priests, prophets.
- 42:23And kings in our culture we commonly emphasize the
- 42:28confession of individual sin. But in the past, the people of
- 42:32God were much less individualistic.
- 42:37In any case, we can acknowledge our own dependence on God by
- 42:41humbly identifying with the sins of those around us, as Daniel
- 42:47did. Exactly what happened to
- 42:50Jerusalem after attacking Jerusalem in.
- 42:53Six O 5 BC the. Babylonians returned in 597 BC
- 42:58and took an estimated. 10,000 captives.
- 43:03In 588 BC, Nebuchadnezzar's army undertook an 18 month.
- 43:09Siege of the city. Jerusalem was eventually looted,
- 43:13and the palace and temple were burned, along with the city
- 43:17walls and fortifications. While Jerusalem and the temple
- 43:21were not literally leveled, the destruction was thorough enough
- 43:25that most of the inhabitants were cut off from their homeland
- 43:30and center of worship for about 70 years.
- 43:33Why did Daniel? Ask God to act.
- 43:36For the sake of his name, the oppressed condition of the
- 43:40Jewish people in exile caused the surrounding nations to
- 43:43believe. That the God of Israel.
- 43:45Was not sovereign. Over all the world.
- 43:48So, Daniel. Asked God to deliver the Jewish.
- 43:52People from captivity for the sake of God's own reputation or
- 43:57name. What does this prophecy?
- 44:00Mean the 70 sevens. Could.
- 44:03Be 70 weeks, but many think they are 77.
- 44:09Year periods or 4. 190 years. Some believe the six goals in
- 44:15verse 24 were met during and shortly after Jesus earthly
- 44:20ministry, which occurred about 490 years.
- 44:25After the. Rebuilding of Jerusalem was
- 44:27decreed. Others think the goals began to
- 44:29be met in the 1st 69 sevens or 483 years, but that complete
- 44:37achievement of these goals will not happen until the 70th 7
- 44:41year. Period which they.
- 44:43They say has been delayed until the end of history from
- 44:48Revelation chapter 21, the Anointed 1.
- 44:52Is Christ? And his being put to.
- 44:55Death is his. Crucifixion.
- 44:57Jerusalem's destruction came at the hands of the Roman
- 45:02allegiance, the people. Of the rule who would?
- 45:04Come in AD 70, some think ruler. Refers to a future leader.
- 45:11Who will make a peace? Treaty with Israel.
- 45:13Only to turn against that nation and demand worship himself.
- 45:18Revelation 13, verse 8. While we may not understand.
- 45:23Such. Prophecies.
- 45:24With certainty, we can take comfort in the fact that God
- 45:28holds the future in His hands. Again, if you look at end
- 45:32timesparian.com, there's going to be a lot of detail in these.
- 45:37Numbers of years that are identified in that question and.
- 45:42Answer that I just read. So what was the?
- 45:45Abomination that causes desolation.
- 45:48This first happened in 168 BC when Antiochus.
- 45:53The 4th Epiphanes. Desecrated the.
- 45:57Temple with a Pagan altar. Some believe it happened again
- 46:00around 8040 when the Emperor. Caligula tried.
- 46:05To desecrate the temple. And again in 8070, when the
- 46:09Romans finally destroyed Jerusalem, Jesus predicted a
- 46:13similar desecration which may be yet to come.
- 46:17I think a lot. Of people do think.
- 46:19That was yet to come. And this is something else too,
- 46:22that that Christian Widener who wrote that.
- 46:25Book. He's also hypothesized that
- 46:29October 7th. 2020. Three could have been the
- 46:35abomination of Desolation. So.
- 46:38That's another interesting you. Can probably find that on.
- 46:40His YouTube video but pretty interesting thoughts to
- 46:44consider. I'm open minded.
- 46:46To it and I guess. Especially because of the.
- 46:49Dream I had with the date and you know if if what he's saying
- 46:53is. True, it could very well be.
- 46:56I also there was another. Eschatology person who speaks.
- 47:05On these things, he's not. Just an everyday person like I
- 47:08am, but. He's actually.
- 47:11Compared the the time after Christ returns another theory
- 47:16where it it'll probably it could potentially be a year and 10
- 47:20days and he's took that comparison from the time.
- 47:23Period of Noah's Ark. How long it lasted and.
- 47:27The wrath of God and so. If Jesus did.
- 47:30Return in 2026 and then. There was like a year.
- 47:35After that would be. 2027 and it would line up with what
- 47:40Christian Widener has also. Come up with.
- 47:43So it's just. Very interesting when you start
- 47:45finding people that have similar time frames and and then again
- 47:51there's that whole Messiah 2030 which it's all about the same
- 47:55time frame. So there's a.
- 47:57Lot of people who are highly. Educated.
- 48:00I'm not considering myself one of them.
- 48:02I'm talking about like a dream I've been.
- 48:04Studying since then to try to understand this better.
- 48:07But there are people who have doctorate degrees that are.
- 48:12You know have theories about this and they're none of.
- 48:15Them are saying this. Is a date.
- 48:17They're just saying that they found things that.
- 48:20Really make it a possibility. And that we all need to keep an
- 48:24open mind and keep our eyes open and pay attention to what's
- 48:27going on in the world. And that's the way.
- 48:28I approach it too. So if this interests you.
- 48:32Check out those other websites. Because you'll learn a lot from
- 48:35them and I hope you subscribe to.
- 48:39This podcast. And that you come back.
- 48:41Next time, and if you feel this is beneficial.
- 48:44Please share with other people. Because the most important thing
- 48:47is that. We.
- 48:48Have a relationship with God. And that we believe, and we are
- 48:53thankful and grateful for everything that Jesus did for us
- 48:56to make it. Possible for us?
- 48:57To be in God's. Kingdom and.
- 49:00That we are prepared by. Having the Holy Spirit.
