137: Jen and Jill's Hunt for Ghosts for Halloween 2025 · Common Mystics

• 0:10
Speaker A: On this episode of Common Mystics, we explore three haunted locations. I'm Jennifer James.
• 0:19
  Speaker B: I'm Jill Stanley.
• 0:20
  Speaker A: We're psychics.
• 0:21
  Speaker B: We're sisters.
• 0:23
Speaker A: We are common mystics. We find extraordinary stories in ordinary places. But today we, we are talking about three different experiences we had in three different haunted locations.
• 0:37
Speaker B: You guys, you know what we do? They know what we do. We don't.
• 0:41
Speaker A: We don't do this.
• 0:43
Speaker B: No, we do not do this.
• 0:44
Speaker A: And why don't we do this? Why aren't we ghost hunters?
• 0:49
Speaker B: Because I feel like ghosts that haven't crossed over do not know how to use the nuances of my Claire's. So they're very dramatic in trying to get information. So they're opening and closing doors and they're doing like crazy shit. Yeah. That doesn't, doesn't. You know how like a flying bug, like is like flying around and like, or even a bird and you don't know what's going to happen because they're just flying, like crazily. That's how it is with ghosts that have unpredictable. Yes, yes.
• 1:23
Speaker A: So there is another theory. Again, it goes back to the groundbreaking book Stalking the Wild Pendulum by Itzhak Bentov. He puts forth a theory that makes a lot of sense to me.
• 1:37
  Speaker B: Okay.
• 1:37
Speaker A: And the theory is. Well, it's based on the fact that we are all vibrational beings. We're made of energy, everything in the universe. Right.
• 1:46
Speaker B: Your face is a vibrational being.
• 1:50
Speaker A: My face is actually a vibrational being.
• 1:54
Speaker B: So it's in the universe. It's in the universe.
• 1:57
Speaker A: Yeah. Stop vibrating your lips. How about that? How about keep them still for just a second?
• 2:02
  Speaker B: No.
• 2:03
Speaker A: Anyway, so and spirit has vibrational energy as well. Right? Correct. So. But there is a hierarchy. There is a hierarchy. And the vibrational spirits that are ghostly, that interact with this material world, like you're talking about with touch, with sound, with footsteps, with throwing across rooms. Right. AKA poltergeists. They are of a lower vibration. And what you and I do is we try to elevate our vibration to communicate with spiritual beings that are of a higher vibration. Spirits who have crossed over more than deity level. Right. The master. We are trying to lift our vibration. We're not trying. We're not asking anything to come down to us. Right?
• 2:54
Speaker B: We ain't. We ain't hunting in the gutter. We are not going in the gutter of the spiritual work. We are trying to rise above where we come from.
• 3:05
Speaker A: Yes. But also I do think. And if you are a ghost hunter, I apologize now because I might offend you, but ghost hunters are annoying.
• 3:15
Speaker B: A lot of them are.
• 3:16
Speaker A: A lot of ghost hunters are annoying. Like, you watch the TV episodes. What's your pet peeve? When you watch ghost hunting shows, what is your pet? I know you have them. I can see it on your face.
• 3:25
  Speaker B: Oh, my God.
• 3:26
  Speaker A: I.
• 3:26
Speaker B: And. And Jack Osborne, please, please forgive me, because this is not a slight at you, but you're always like, I hate it when they're filming someone getting sick. Like, oh. They're like, that's not. That is not validating.
• 3:39
Speaker A: Oh, my head. My head hurts right now. My head hurts so bad.
• 3:42
Speaker B: That's like a side note. That's a sidebar. That's a parking lot. That is not. That is not evidence that there's like, take a fucking pill. Sorry. I'm trying not to swear. Someone. Someone emailed or someone left a message on YouTube saying that they cringe every time I swear. And I'm like, I'm gonna try not to swear, but it just came out. Sorry, YouTuber.
• 4:04
Speaker A: Okay, okay. I really don't like it when the people who are ghost hunting try to antagonize the spirits by saying inflammatory or disrespectful things to try to get a response. I just think it's very unnecessary. It's just completely the wrong energy. You should be going into a space. Space. I think, with respect, you are going into their space. If you are going to a place to ghost hunt, you are literally coming to their house. Right? And so you should act respectfully.
• 4:40
Speaker B: Not even that. But you're going to their house to bother them.
• 4:44
Speaker A: Well, to ask. Right? Yeah.
• 4:46
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 4:46
  Speaker A: You're bothering around.
• 4:47
Speaker B: They're just having their, like, forever never life. And they're just chilling, and then here you come being like, hey, ghost, what up? And you're like, no, that's so rude. I don't like it.
• 5:00
Speaker A: Okay, okay, so let's get. But. And yet we went to three different haunted locations looking for ghosts. And why do we do this?
• 5:09
Speaker B: Well, first of all, this first location.
• 5:13
Speaker A: We did it for Halloween.
• 5:14
Speaker B: We did it for Halloween.
• 5:15
Speaker A: We did it for Halloween.
• 5:16
Speaker B: This is our Halloween episode. And this is what we do for you guys.
• 5:19
Speaker A: Because we love you.
• 5:20
Speaker B: Because we love you and we needed Halloween contact. So here we are. And.
• 5:26
Speaker A: Right. That's right. You read. It's all for the fans.
• 5:29
Speaker B: It's all listeners. Okay. And I do have to say we have the best listeners.
• 5:35
  Speaker A: We do.
• 5:36
Speaker B: We really do. So it was worth it. I was questioning my life choices for sure, especially with this first location, because I did not Know when we booked it, what it was. And then when I found out, I was like, that is not what I thought I was booking.
• 5:52
Speaker A: Yeah, we booked this one too fast without doing our research.
• 5:55
Speaker B: We just put our money down. We're like, we're going. So this is the Demon house.
• 6:01
Speaker A: The title should have been a clue.
• 6:03
Speaker B: But we're like, Demon Schmeeman, here we go. We're like, it's all hype. It's all hype, but we would have heard about this house if we. If anything real happened there. And yet we heard about this house, and we did.
• 6:16
Speaker A: We recognized it when we showed up. We're like, wait a minute. Why do I know this house?
• 6:22
Speaker B: And it's because it was featured on.
• 6:25
Speaker A: One of the episodes of Paranormal Lockdown, which that. Of all the Ghost Hunt shows, that was my favorite. It's no longer on, but that was with Katrina Weidman and Nick Groff. Love them both and respect them. And I remember distinctly the episode when they were in this house. So when you. When you and I drove up to it, I. We were both like, holy shit, this is not where we thought we were gonna end up today.
• 6:50
Speaker B: That is not where I thought we were going to end up. So this is a little history and a little bit of legend of the house. Okay, I'm going to try to channel my Jennifer.
• 6:59
Speaker A: Oh, no, I can do this. Oh, I mean, I'm not prepared, but I have it printed out in front of me and I'm probably able to read it pretty smoothly.
• 7:07
Speaker B: Can you read it pretty smoothly but like, like spooky?
• 7:11
  Speaker A: Like.
• 7:11
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, Give me spooked if I don't.
• 7:14
Speaker A: I don't like when you're my director. Maybe you should just read this.
• 7:17
Speaker B: I like being your director.
• 7:19
Speaker A: Okay, Hitchcock, are you ready to go or shall I call you bitchcock?
• 7:24
Speaker B: Jennifer, we're trying. We don't want to isolate the boomers.
• 7:28
Speaker A: Listening to our podcast, Hitchcock. Okay.
• 7:31
Speaker B: And I don't even know that the. The woman was a boomer, so that is also a slight. So. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
• 7:38
  Speaker A: Fuck it.
• 7:38
Speaker B: We already lost her. We lost her. She's gone. All right, Sorry. Okay. All right.
• 7:45
Speaker A: So the Demon house is located Hartford City, Indiana. So on the street of North Monroe in Hartford City, Indiana, a crumbling two story home sits with windows that seem to stare back. Locals pass by quickly, eyes lowered, muttering stories they half believe. Some call the house cursed, others possessed. But most know it simply as the Demon House. It is said that no family has lasted long inside. Tenants have Fled in the night, abandoning their furniture, clothing, even their photographs, leaving behind only silence. For decades, the house has rotted, drawing stray cats and stowaways. Those who step across the sagging porch often describe the same thing. A sudden drop in temperature, the feeling of unseen eyes, the way the air seems to thicken like smoke. Footsteps echo in empty rooms. Doors slam when no draft is present. And from the basement, the faint sound of voices too low to understand, but too insistent to ignore. Investigators claim the basement is the heart of the darkness. There, crawl spaces branch off like veins lined with crumbling stone and suffocating earth. It was there that shadows have been seen darting just beyond the beam of a flashlight. And it was there, beneath the dirt, that human bones were discovered, their origin unknown, their presence unexplained. Electronic devices die without reason. Lights flicker in patterns, as if answering questions no one has asked. Some who enter report hands brushing their skin, Though no one is near. A few flee, weeping, clutching crucifixes or rosaries. More than one hardened ghost hunter has vowed never to return. Those who stay too long speak of a figure, a shadow with mass darker than dark, that lurks in doorways. And when confronted, it does not vanish, but steps forward.
• 10:35
Speaker B: So thank you for that. That was excellent.
• 10:39
  Speaker A: You're welcome.
• 10:40
Speaker B: Okay. So we signed up. We didn't know.
• 10:43
Speaker A: We didn't know what we were doing.
• 10:45
Speaker B: And when we found out, first off, a weird thing happened. My car would not turn off.
• 10:50
Speaker A: That was really weird.
• 10:52
Speaker B: Yeah. So we literally. I keep trying to turn off my car, like. Cause I have the push button, and I pushed it. It would not turn off. I pushed it again three times. It took the fourth time my car to just stop.
• 11:06
Speaker A: Stop. Had that ever happened to you before?
• 11:10
Speaker B: So that was the start. And I was like, man, I don't know.
• 11:15
Speaker A: And by that time, we had realized where we are and what we had signed up for. And so you had very smartly backed the parking space on the apron behind the house in the alley. So we were ready to skedaddle out of there. Yeah, fast. And your car would not turn off?
• 11:32
Speaker B: Yeah, I was concerned because my car was acting funny. Like, would it turn on?
• 11:36
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 11:37
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 11:37
  Speaker A: So.
• 11:38
Speaker B: But. So that was in the back of my head. So we get there, and three people are waiting outside, and they happen to be the group that the host. They are touring the house. They're gonna give us a tour. They're gonna let us loose in this house. So one of them is like, you should let the girls in to use the wash. The washroom, because we Had.
• 11:59
Speaker A: We had a drive. We had been on the road.
• 12:00
Speaker B: Yeah. So we go into the house, and I'm kind of lagging behind, and Jen is being guided by a dude to this bathroom through a hallway that is a zigzag. It has no light, and it has a flickering lit candle in it. We get. We're spit out of that hallway into a room that we have to walk through to get to another room where the bathroom is. It's a onesie. Jen goes in first. Jen waits for me. He's gone. He leaves us there, and he's like, can you find your way back? We're like, yeah, we'll find our way back through the creepiest hallway that you could ever have created. And he goes outside. And so it's just Jennifer and I in this house. I use the restroom, I wash my hands because I'm cleanly. I'm not a beast. And I get out of the bathroom and I'm in front of Jennifer. We walk through the room, which is called the blue room, through this twisted Z like hallway. And there was a bang on the floor.
• 13:00
  Speaker A: Mm.
• 13:01
  Speaker B: A bang.
• 13:02
  Speaker A: Big bang.
• 13:03
Speaker B: Big bang. And I said to Jennifer, did you hear that? Jennifer said, yes, I did. It was me. It was like, Jennifer, recreate it. Jennifer could not recreate the bang.
• 13:17
Speaker A: Well, I thought you meant, like, I was stepping on the floors.
• 13:22
Speaker B: That does not make a bang.
• 13:24
  Speaker A: That's true.
• 13:25
Speaker B: Stepping on the floor. But you were. I think you were trying to comfort me. I don't know what you were, but it was obviously not you. So I don't know why you were like, that was me. And I was like, okay, do it again. And you're like, I can't.
• 13:34
Speaker A: I was out of my mind. I was already so freaked out, I didn't even want to think that there could have been something else in there. You know what I mean? I was just like, it must have been me.
• 13:44
Speaker B: So we're sitting now. We get back from the bathroom, and we're sitting in the sitting room where the back door is that we had entered the house. And we're waiting for other people to join us to take the tour because apparently this tour was sold out. And we were waiting for the other participants. As we were waiting there, we met three or four of the sweetest men we could have actually ever have met.
• 14:09
Speaker A: That's true. But I. I want to remind you that during that time that we were waiting for the tour to start, there were people who were driving up to the house telling us not to go in. Do you remember That.
• 14:20
Speaker B: I do remember that there were these.
• 14:23
Speaker A: There's this family in a pickup truck, and they're like, you going in there? And we were like, yeah, it's a tour thing. And they were talking to the host, and this family was like, don't go in there. We've had terrible experiences in there. Do you remember what they said?
• 14:38
Speaker B: They said that the neighbors. They were coming from the neighbor's house down the alley, and they said that the neighbor had heard a woman scream as if she was being, like, murdered in the house. And they called the police because they were like, what the fuck? Or what the heck? And so the police came, investigated, and there was nothing. There was no one in the house.
• 15:00
Speaker A: We should also say nobody lives in the house right now.
• 15:02
Speaker B: Currently, this house is set up to have ghost just. Yeah, just to have their way with the people that want to have a ghost experience. Literally. It is. It is not an.
• 15:15
Speaker A: Not that it's not a livable. Well, it could be livable, but that's not the intent.
• 15:21
Speaker B: No, it's more of like a museum to the occult, to be honest.
• 15:26
Speaker A: Yes, I would agree.
• 15:29
Speaker B: So we're waiting. We're sitting in the sitting room by the back door. Four guys come in. One of them has our maiden name as their last name. So I was like, you're our cousin for life now. And of course, we don't have his telephone number because I want to know their experience in the house. Because we left early, just saying, yeah.
• 15:45
Speaker A: We sure did leave early.
• 15:47
Speaker B: So they come in and they're saying how they do this stuff often, and they go from place to place. Because the one that had our last name, his name was Tyler. His first name was Tyler. He was like, I was at the prison, Mansfield Prison. Is it that he saw half of a apparition, like, from the waist down, and he's been chasing that experience ever since. And so they go to haunted Location to haunted Location, doing investigations, and they had equipment with them, and they were the nicest people we could have met. So that was really, really cool.
• 16:23
Speaker A: Yeah, that was a highlight, meeting them.
• 16:25
Speaker B: So the tour starts. There's four people that came late. That was annoying.
• 16:34
Speaker A: That was annoying. I mean, be on time for your ghost hunt experience. Keep going.
• 16:37
Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, so the tour starts. And it starts in the kitchen. Okay.
• 16:42
Speaker A: Right. She's telling us all of the things that have happened in each room.
• 16:46
Speaker B: Right. So she's taking us around the kitchen. I don't remember what happened in the kitchen. Do you remember what happened in the kitchen?
• 16:51
Speaker A: Doors opening and closing. Wasn't there water, too? Unexplainable water on the floor. That's a bad sign, by the way.
• 17:00
Speaker B: I mean, just in life. Unexplainable water on the floor. That's not cool.
• 17:05
  Speaker A: No.
• 17:06
Speaker B: Then there was the front door opening. The front door apparently opens for no reason. So we were.
• 17:14
Speaker A: And then you can't shut it. Remember, the front door, once it opens, it's impossible to close. So she actually told everybody, don't open that door because it's impossible to close. And it will open by itself anyway if it's not, like, dead bolted, locked.
• 17:29
Speaker B: They created a room of mirrors in this house, which is like a closet.
• 17:33
Speaker A: It was a closet.
• 17:34
Speaker B: It was so claustrophobic. Poor Jennifer had to, like, sit like a pretzel to get in there with me.
• 17:41
Speaker A: Well, because there was one chair in a room the size of a closet, literally. So I was like, yeah, twisted up on the floor and Jill was on the chair.
• 17:50
Speaker B: And there was peel and stick tile from floor to ceiling mirrors.
• 17:56
Speaker A: Now, I think that there is a theory that when you do that, when you cover a space in mirrors or reflective material, you can create a portal. Right? That's the idea. And so they did that purposefully so that you could have some experience in that space. We didn't.
• 18:13
  Speaker B: We didn't.
• 18:14
  Speaker A: We didn't.
• 18:15
Speaker B: There was another room that was. They set up these rooms with, like, exhibits, like, for you to get, like, a scary experience. So there was a room downstairs off the kitchen that had dolls in it. And it was just scary, like, in cases. Then we walk upstairs. Upstairs. It's almost like another apartment. There's a kitchen space. And so everyone's in the kitchen. And I. Let me just recreate this. Everyone's in the kitchen. I am in the back. I'm the caboose of our group. And I am standing in the kitchen. And I feel like something walked past me, past my back, and went into the room off the kitchen that we have not gone into yet. Now everyone else is proceeding through the kitchen to a different room. I stop with a flashlight, and I go back to the room that I think someone had walked in, and I shine a flashlight. And Because I was confused, because I could have swore it was another part of the hosts because there was one host talking and two unaccounted for. So I swore. I was like, that had to be.
• 19:26
Speaker A: The other two hosts.
• 19:27
Speaker B: Yeah, but they weren't in the room. Anyway, then we go into another room. So I follow the group because I'm kind of weirded out, and I don't want to be walking around the scary.
• 19:38
Speaker A: Place by myself in the dark because none of the lights worked.
• 19:41
Speaker B: Right. So I meet up everyone else into the room, and this room that they're in now is a room that has Alistair Crawley's bed sheet framed on the wall. And it looks like they had written out. I don't know if this was Alastair's or someone else had written out a ouij board on this sheet. Why? If you're already in a demon house, why do you need to bring up this stuff?
• 20:07
Speaker A: So Alistair Crawley, I'm not really clear on who he is, but wasn't he an occultist who is into, like, the darker arts?
• 20:16
Speaker B: Yes. And even like, sexy dark arts. Like Eyes Wide Shut dark arts.
• 20:21
Speaker A: I think he was like, I've never seen that.
• 20:24
  Speaker B: Oh, it's stupid.
• 20:27
  Speaker A: But it's gross.
• 20:28
Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, it's rich people that have sex parties with, like, costumes.
• 20:33
Speaker A: Why? What does that have to do with the dark arts? Are they also like casting spells and raising the dead?
• 20:40
Speaker B: Aleister Crawley was not Eyes Wide Shut.
• 20:43
  Speaker A: Okay, okay.
• 20:45
Speaker B: So like, Aleister Crowley brought the magic to Eyes Wide Shut.
• 20:50
Speaker A: Yeah, that was unnecessary to have that in there. That was. And then there were. Yeah, that was unnecessary. Keep going.
• 20:57
Speaker B: It just doesn't make sense. Like, you already have a demon house. Why do you need demon, like, nasty, like, dark arts things if you already have a place that you believe is a demon house?
• 21:07
Speaker A: I mean, they're probably trying to just bring more of that low vibrational energy so that people would have experiences and word of mouth and keep coming back. You know what I mean?
• 21:16
Speaker B: Yeah. So there's that. Now we walk back out of the room through the kitchen to the room that I was. That I had stumbled upon earlier. And there are two people in the room from the hosts. There was the two hosts in there. And I was like, were you guys in here when we were in the kitchen? And he was like, yeah, we were. And I was like, but I came in here and you guys, like, so it was all confusing. So I don't even know if that was a real experience or not.
• 21:41
Speaker A: Well, what they did say is that that hallway where you thought you felt someone's presence is where a figure has been seen before. They did say that.
• 21:51
  Speaker B: That's true. That's true.
• 21:52
Speaker A: And they also said that in the place when we were downstairs where there was a bang, that. That is often a phenomenon that other people experience too. Like a bang from the floor out of nowhere. Correct. Anyway, keep going.
• 22:08
Speaker B: So that was the end of the tour in the room where I thought someone had gone into it was the doll room. And the claim in that room was that someone had committed suicide in the room.
• 22:21
  Speaker A: Right.
• 22:21
Speaker B: So Jen and I came prepared with.
• 22:23
Speaker A: Our equipment, but we don't have much equipment, to be honest.
• 22:27
Speaker B: We have the stud finders, which is.
• 22:29
  Speaker A: The.
• 22:32
Speaker B: Electric magnetic field finders. Right.
• 22:34
Speaker A: So they have the little light ups from green to red and usually there's like a little green, a little green light. But when energy, when it, when it senses electromagnetic energy, it will go up the scale from green to yellow to orange to red. And then if it stays on red, then it's interacting with some sort of energy that you can't see.
• 22:57
Speaker B: Right. And so you can actually use these things around your house to see if like to see if like there's a lot of energy coming out of like an outlet. Right. You can put them to you like your cell phone and be like, okay, there's energy coming off my phone. So these things really work and really are finding energy. So to have them randomly in the middle of the room without a source of energy to interact with symbolizes that there's energy that we can't see that's approaching and going away from the device.
• 23:27
  Speaker A: That is correct.
• 23:28
Speaker B: So we are using this device to ask yes and no questions in the dark in the dial room where someone apparently committed suicide. So we're sitting there. The problem is that everyone else is walking around the house and setting up their own investigations and they're talking really.
• 23:57
Speaker A: Loudly and they're walking and they're laughing and they're ordering burritos, you know what I mean? Super excited.
• 24:06
Speaker B: And they're just having the time of their lives. And we're trying to have an investigation where I'm trying to record phenomenon. Yeah.
• 24:15
Speaker A: Well, the other thing, Jill, is that you and I are early birds. So this Investigation lasts till 2am and you and I both know, like, we're going to stay for a good hour, maybe an hour and a half, and we're going to go back to the hotel and we're going to go to sleep. Right. I think everybody else was just warming up because they were in it for the long haul. And we're like, everybody shut the F up right now because we want to get some content before we leave. And people, I.
• 24:41
Speaker B: This is my thing. Not only were the hosts loud, but other participants were loud. So it's not even like. I really wish the host would have been like, people are investigating. Be respectful. And the host would have been respectful for the, for Us investigating.
• 25:00
Speaker A: Right. And the hosts were not the owners of the house. I have to say the owners who were not there were so kind. They set up some snacks, they ordered pizzas for everybody. There was water and different drinks in the refrigerator. So the, the owners of the property were super gracious in that regard and.
• 25:18
Speaker B: Considerate to people coming to their home. Yes, but we're coming to your home so we can have an experience that we could share. And the. It was diluted by the shenanigans of other people in the house.
• 25:33
Speaker A: So, so, so looking at, we. We went from area to area to area trying to find a quiet location where we can actually get some. Have an experience. And in my opinion, the strongest evidence that we weren't able to capture on video or audio was in my. In my opinion, the experience we had in the basement. When you and I went into the basement by ourselves.
• 26:00
  Speaker B: Yes.
• 26:00
Speaker A: Do you want to tell everybody what that was like?
• 26:03
Speaker B: So at this point, we had borrowed a piece of equipment called the Flux 2 Responder. It's a triangle and there's a green light on the left and a red light on the right. And so when you ask a yes or no question, we communicate with a spirit to tell us yes, meeting green or no meaning red. Okay. So we're downstairs in the basement and we, Jen and I are quiet. We're trying to capture something on audio and we're asking it questions and it feels like it's responding to us. And then it stops for a period of time and we're like, do you want us to go? And it was like, bing, yes. And so we're like, okay, okay, well, we're out.
• 26:53
Speaker A: That was fun. Goodbye. Nice meeting you. The other creepy thing about that particular interaction was that we started by introducing ourselves and I said, I'm Jennifer. And you go, I'm Jill. And it lit up green. Like. Yes. Which was weird for it to light up green when we were introducing ourselves. It's like it knew us, you know what I mean? Right, right. But then it's like it stopped and it was weird when it went to green again for, you know, do you want us to leave? And then of course, we didn't ask it a second time. We just packed up because this was a creepy ass basement with a hole in the wall with human bones in it. And. Yeah, so that was that. We didn't get any usable audio.
• 27:38
Speaker B: Correct, we didn't get any usable audio. But we did meet up with the boys that we met and we had a short EVP session trying to get audible evidence. And one of the gentlemen had. What do you call it?
• 27:53
Speaker A: Dowsing rods, dousing rods.
• 27:55
Speaker B: And it was. It seemed like it worked. So I. They hadn't gone in the basement yet, and they were really sweet to humor us, to spend time with us because they wanted to do their own investigation. So we, like.
• 28:05
  Speaker A: I.
• 28:06
Speaker B: At one point, I was like, you guys should go into the basement. Good luck. And we left. But I. If they're listening, because I know one of the. One of the J's had downloaded our podcast. If you guys are listening and want to share what you had and had gotten from that experience at the Demon House, please email us@commonmysticsmail.com Jill, overall, do.
• 28:31
Speaker A: You think there's anything in that house?
• 28:38
Speaker B: I do. Do you?
• 28:40
Speaker A: I do. Yeah. I think that the house is. Has a lot of energy. I will say that I didn't feel anything demonic necessarily.
• 28:50
  Speaker B: Good.
• 28:50
Speaker A: Which. Which is a bonus. Yeah, I didn't feel demonic, but there is definitely an energy. And I would agree that there's some dark, dark energy there, you know?
• 29:00
Speaker B: Yes, I would. I. What? I wish. If I own the demon house. If I own the demon House, I would not make it more gimmicky than it needs to be. I feel like the mirror room took away from it. It just seemed gimmicky. I feel like the macabre things that.
• 29:23
Speaker A: They brought in was like the finale. Yeah.
• 29:25
Speaker B: It's just unnecessary. Just let the demon house be the demon House. You know, I think it's scary enough just being in there, and I would have different hosts hosting.
• 29:35
Speaker A: I would. I would also say that maybe one day we will have the opportunity to rent it out for a night for just Common Mystics, because I would love to really take some time in alone in the quiet without other groups walking around and making background noise to try to get some, you know, because there were a couple times on the audio you said where it could have been something, but there was no way to know because of the dogs barking and the. The people walking around and laughing and having conversations.
• 30:08
Speaker B: So anyway, I. None of the audio that I heard, I could. Like, some things sounded like it could have been some kind of voice phenomenon, but because of.
• 30:21
  Speaker A: So.
• 30:22
Speaker B: Because of people laughing, because, like, I just didn't feel comfortable being like, oh, this is real, because I don't know.
• 30:28
Speaker A: So let's go to the next thing we want to talk about, and that is the Amboy train depot in Amboy, Illinois.
• 30:35
Speaker B: We had our friends with us.
• 30:37
Speaker A: We did have our friends with us.
• 30:39
Speaker B: We had a Jenny B. We had a Ryan. I don't know what's his name? It's hard to say Ryan today. Ryan. Because I was gonna say Rylofo show, but it's Ryan. We had Ryan and we had our.
• 30:52
Speaker A: Kelly and we had. Right, so there was a group of five of us.
• 30:56
Speaker B: Yes. And the Amboy is in. Is in Illinois. So we were in your stomping grounds. Do you want to talk about. Well, we were in Illinois.
• 31:06
Speaker A: Yeah, we were about an hour west of. Of where I live, so. More central North, Central Illinois. Amboy, Illinois, grew up around the Illinois Central Railroad. Chartered by Congress in 1854 to build a trunk line across Illinois, the Illinois Central established its Northern division headquarters at Amboy, Illinois, making the town a key operating point on the charter line between Cairo, Illinois, in the far south, and East Dubuque in Iowa. Oh, wait, right near Iowa. East Dubuque is probably Illinois.
• 31:43
Speaker B: Yeah, No, I think Dubuque is Iowa.
• 31:46
Speaker A: Yeah, I know. But East Dubuque would be on the other side of the river. Right. So hence. All right.
• 31:51
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 31:51
Speaker A: We don't quite know about the geography, so we're just going to blow past it.
• 31:56
Speaker B: Yeah. Already spent too much time on it.
• 32:00
Speaker A: So. Current structure. Okay. The current structure of the Northern Division headquarters. Construction started in 1876 after a fire destroyed the earlier facilities in 1875. The railroad erected a new combined headquarters and passenger depot in 1876. And staff architect James Knockwe. I don't know how to pronounce this. N, O, C, Q, U, E, T. Knockweit designed the two story Italianate brick building, which doubled as a public station room and railroad office.
• 32:43
Speaker B: A public station room. Would that mean like a hotel?
• 32:47
Speaker A: Public station rooms? I don't know if it was a hotel per se or just places where people could. Yeah. Rest while they were waiting, you know, people of means. Certainly.
• 33:03
  Speaker B: Certainly.
• 33:04
Speaker A: Yeah. Certainly not. Indeed, not outside.
• 33:08
  Speaker B: And the elements.
• 33:10
Speaker A: From its opening in 1894, the building served as headquarters for the Illinois Central Railroad Northern Division, supervising hundreds of miles of track and more than 50 stations. Its prominence reflected Amboy, Illinois's importance in the Illinois Central Railroad's operating scheme during the late 19th century. But there was passenger decline and wartime reuse happening in the 20th century. Let me explain. With automobiles and buses on the rise, Amboy's passenger service ended in 1939, so people were no longer so in need of railroad transportation.
• 34:02
  Speaker B: Mm.
• 34:04
Speaker A: And the interior spaces of the building were remodeled for storage and apartments. Now, during World War II and into the Korean War era, the depot functioned as a transfer Point for munitions from the nearby green river ordinance plant. And then there is a period of abandonment and rescue starting in the 1980s through 2003. The Illinois Commerce commission approved decommissioning the illinois central railroad line through Amboy in 1984. So they completely decommissioned the railroad and demolition loomed for the building. But local citizens and the city acquired and saved the historic building and it was listed on the national register of historic places in 1992 as the Amboy illinois central depot and reopened as the amboy depot museum with a grand opening in 2003. So today it is a museum and it is actually a complex of structures. The museum complex perseveres. The depot, a relocated freight house, the restored one room palmer school, and an outdoor rail equipment building, including a static steam locomotive once used by northwestern steel and wire, Often cited as the last steam engine in regular u. S. Freight service use, which was retired in the 1970s. So a lot of buildings and a lot of space that we were able to explore at this museum complex.
• 35:57
Speaker B: True. I want to just get to the coolest, the coolest experience first.
• 36:03
  Speaker A: Talk to us.
• 36:04
Speaker B: I will say that the host at this location was very respectful and he had given us the talking to, saying that, look, there are other people in these spaces trying to investigate. So keep your voice down and don't affect what other people are doing. He also gave us a brief synopsis of the history of the building and the grounds. And then he let us just have at it. And we were very respectful of the other groups. This group was full, I want to say, like 20, 20 plus people. Definitely in different groups. But my. We went from the locomotive to the freight building to the schoolhouse and then to the amboy itself. And the. The audio and the experiences that we were able to capture happened in the amboy museum.
• 37:00
Speaker A: In the museum building, the brick structure.
• 37:02
  Speaker B: Yes.
• 37:04
Speaker A: That had been sort of the depot. The depot building with the apartments.
• 37:07
Speaker B: Correct. So there is a double story safe. So there's a safe on the bottom floor and right above it there's a safe on the top floor. And one of my favorite experiences is when we were upstairs, Jenny b. Had gone into the upstairs stairs safe and had noticed something that her father would appreciate in the safe.
• 37:39
Speaker A: Right. Now it wasn't just a safe. They had it again set up as a museum. Because it is a museum. It is literally a museum. So they had vintage and antique paraphernalia all around. So it wasn't like she was just entering a safe that was empty of money. Right. She had entered the. This Sort of museum experience with all this paraphernalia. And what she had seen was a dad's root beer sign, or tin. Right. It was an. An old advertisement for dad's root beer. Go ahead.
• 38:15
Speaker B: Jenny's father had passed away almost a year ago to the date. Right, Right. And so she was like, oh, Papa, you would really appreciate this. And Jenny had in her hand one of the EMF detectors. And, Jen, do you want to remind everyone what the EMF detectors are? Right.
• 38:34
Speaker A: It's the handheld electromagnetic frequency detector that goes from green all the way to.
• 38:42
Speaker B: Red, and red symbolizing that there is a strong electronic or electric field. And so Jenny's holding the emf, and it goes. As soon as she says, oh, papa would appreciate this, she's in the middle of the room, and it goes to red for no reason. And it stays there, flickering red, as she's like, oh, my God, Dad. And it's going flicker, flicker, flicker, flicker. I've never seen it do that. And we've been using these for years.
• 39:20
  Speaker A: Mm.
• 39:22
Speaker B: So that happened. Jennifer gives Jenny a hug. Everyone's, like, in shock that that happened because it was so super special. And I said to Ryan, I cannot believe that that happened. And then I capture on my audio recording Jen, and let's play that now. Can you believe it?
• 39:49
Speaker A: Yeah, I can believe it. Jenny's dad was a believer in this, and I love that he showed up. And it's. Yeah, it's really special. I'm glad that that experience happened.
• 40:02
Speaker B: So after that experience, we walk into one of the back rooms of the building, and this time, this is the first time in the Amboy, we were all together, and we were going to do an EMF session. So I'm sitting at a table with Kelly. I have my recorder to my right. Jenny's sitting on, like, what seems to be like, a piano bench or something. Jennifer's on the floor, and Ryan's standing above Jennifer. And we're asking the spirits to communicate with us through the EMF or through our electronic devices so that we can record any happenings that we may not be able to hear.
• 40:44
Speaker A: And you were just using your phone to record the audio, correct? Yep.
• 40:48
Speaker B: So I'm like, talk to her phone. I was like, we have a podcast.
• 40:51
Speaker A: You want to be. We need some content. Help us out the world.
• 40:56
Speaker B: Please talk to us. So one of the coolest things that happened is that Kelly asked the spirits to light up the EMFs, and at the same time, which it did, then someone says, can you make a noise or can you interact with us in other ways, with something in the room. So can you make a noise? Can you? We're giving it options. And then you hear a bang. Not a loud bang, but a bang. So let's play that. Now. Do you have the energy to move something else in the room other than the lights? I heard a bump.
• 41:43
  Speaker A: I did too.
• 41:45
Speaker B: Okay, so now we're sitting there, and.
• 41:48
Speaker A: We heard that in real time. Right.
• 41:50
Speaker B: And we're explaining it away. We're like, oh, that could have been someone dumb.
• 41:54
Speaker A: Right, right, right, right, right.
• 41:55
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. So then we're sitting there, and we're watching the EMF detector flicker from green to red. And then you hear, I can't, because we're asking it to do things. So we're like, do this, do this. And you hear, I can't. And then you hear Ryan say, I can't figure out if the EMF is moving.
• 42:23
Speaker A: And so it was just this weird echo almost.
• 42:27
Speaker B: Right. But it wasn't Ryan. And it's a male voice.
• 42:30
  Speaker A: Yes.
• 42:31
Speaker B: Let's play it. Let's play the I can't first. And then the longer portion of the I can't. So you can hear Ryan right after it.
• 42:41
Speaker A: I can't tell. I can't tell. I'm sorry. I can't tell if my eyes are tricking me or if the whole thing is moving down.
• 42:51
Speaker B: It's almost like Ryan heard and then was like he was influenced by the spirit saying, I can't.
• 42:59
Speaker A: And then he said subconsciously. Yeah, subconsciously. He heard I can't and then said, I can't. Because he. I mean, that's the only thing that makes sense. But it's not his voice. And the spirit voice is so clear, it trails off because Ryan talks over it a little bit unknowingly.
• 43:19
Speaker B: Remember, Ryan's on the opposite side of the room where Than where my phone is.
• 43:24
Speaker A: Right. And you can hear the difference in where the sound is coming from when you listen to both back to back.
• 43:30
  Speaker B: Exactly.
• 43:32
Speaker A: So that's chilling that we really picked up that voice. That gave me the heebie jeebies when you played that for me. That was a good, good catch.
• 43:39
Speaker B: I will say it's a good catch, but it also explains how ghosts can influence us without knowing it. Like, when people are always like, is it a good idea to have a friendly ghost in my house? Like, yeah, I mean, okay, it's a friendly ghost, but that kind of thing happens. You may be influenced, even if it is the friendliest ghost, by that energy and not realize it. So that's why I'm always like, yeah, I would say try to clear your space of ghost.
• 44:12
Speaker A: Well, and especially if you're curious, but you're not really spiritually practicing. That's, you know, if you're sensitive but you're not practicing, you know, energy cleansing and protection and, you know, all of the things, then I think you're in really tricky territory because you, you are potentially being influenced by something that you're curious about. And so it might like, form this weird loop of energy exchange and might actually deplete your energy and you might not be understanding what's happening.
• 44:50
Speaker B: That's exactly right. And that is a great definition for Ryan because Ryan is super sensitive. He's seen things, he's clairvoyant, he can hear things. So he's clairaudient, but he doesn't practice. He doesn't put in the work to control it. And so that instance is so clear to me. He was reacting to what he was experiencing and didn't realize it because what he said he didn't know what was happening was if the EVP thing was moving.
• 45:19
  Speaker A: Right?
• 45:19
  Speaker B: It wasn't moving.
• 45:22
Speaker A: Yeah. So. So, I mean, tell us what you guys think. Do you agree with us? Like, do you hear the spirit voice say, I can't. And what do you make of Ryan saying, I can't tell, like right after the spirit voice? It's. It's bizarre.
• 45:39
  Speaker B: It is bizarre.
• 45:40
Speaker A: Tell us what you think.
• 45:42
Speaker B: Do you have any other takeaways from the amboy that I did not.
• 45:48
Speaker A: No, no, I'm right on. I'm following. Right, following right. With your assessments. And I'm ready to go to the final haunting that we explored.
• 45:59
Speaker B: You guys. You guys, I'm not gonna lie to you. This scared me. I have never captured or heard in real time what we got from this location. Jen, where am I talking about?
• 46:18
Speaker A: You are talking about the Joliet State Prison in Joliet, Illinois.
• 46:25
Speaker B: This place is absolutely no joke.
• 46:29
Speaker A: This place is no joke. Haunted from the rafters all the way down. Every single part of this location has so much frickin energy. If you have the opportunity to. To go, go. It's insane.
• 46:44
Speaker B: Old Joliet State Prison. Now on this particular day, it was very, very windy. So a lot of the audio when we were walking around the grounds was, was, was iffy. But we'll get into it because I've. We captured something that scares me to the core every time I play it. Jennifer, tell us a little bit about the prison itself. How it feels to walk through the threshold and Then the history of the prison.
• 47:19
Speaker A: So stepping in through the threshold of the old Joliet state prison, which is no longer an active prison, by the way, the wind sighs through empty halls, and it's not merely the wind of the autumn. It carries echoes of footsteps from long ago and the faint clang of cell doors and specters of lives harshly constrained.
• 47:45
Speaker B: And that is not an exaggeration. Literally, that's what you feel when you're walking around. And what's weird is that you have to walk through, like, an arch into this courtyard through, like, rod iron gates. It is creepy. From the moment it hits you, it hits you.
• 48:06
Speaker A: The energetic field just changes. Once you're inside those gates, it changes.
• 48:12
Speaker B: Can you imagine walking through those gates knowing that you may spend the rest of your life there?
• 48:18
Speaker A: No, that would be something. That would be heavy feeling. In 1858, the state of Illinois sought to escape the shame of its deteriorating first penitentiary at Alton, Illinois, which was notorious for overcrowding and ruinous conditions. On a bleak plot near the town of Joliet, Illinois, men arrived, the first 33 inmates tasked not just with incarceration, but with quarrying the very limestone blocks from which their prison would be built.
• 48:55
Speaker B: Mm, limestone too, so you know that's holding some energy.
• 49:00
Speaker A: Oh, that sucks for sure. It adds insult to injury, doesn't it? Like, not only are we gonna use you for free labor, but you're gonna build your own place. The buildings rose in gothic style, the architecture brooding and severe. Ain't that the truth? Some have noted that the design by the architect responsible for Chicago's water tower imbued the place with a foreboding Grandeur. I can 100% see that.
• 49:30
Speaker B: That's not wrong, because it is grand.
• 49:33
Speaker A: It is grand in the most horrible way.
• 49:36
Speaker B: It is just the threshold to get into the courtyard. The complex is the scariest shit like, to stand out. I remember standing outside of it with Kelly and Ryan and you and being like, this is creepy crazy. Like, just the wall was creepy crazy. Oh, yeah.
• 49:56
Speaker A: Within a few years, the stone corridors, the iron bars, the thick doors shut upon lives that would never be the same.
• 50:04
Speaker B: What was life like on the inside?
• 50:07
Speaker A: Okay, Jill. Imagine the first footsteps echoing down long hallways where cells possessed no running water, no modern toilets. Even in 1910, overcrowding surged, and by 1872, the population reached 1, 239 men in the facility. It was a place of grim routine and blunt justice. During the civil war, not just criminals, but prisoners of war found themselves within these walls. In the decades that followed, the Institution housed some of America's most infamous individuals. For example, the duo Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, convicted in the notorious crime of the century in 1924. And those two, Leopold and Loeb, were, weren't they found guilty?
• 51:02
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 51:02
Speaker A: Of kidnapping and murdering a child on the south side of Chicago. You can look that up. It's terrible.
• 51:11
  Speaker B: It's horrible.
• 51:12
Speaker A: Horrible. Through the 1900s, the prison became a reception and classification point for northern Illinois, processing tens of thousands of new prisoners each year. And though the world outside accelerated into modernity, here, the echo of metal doors, the clank of keys, and the routine humiliation of confinement persisted. Within those stone walls, horrors sometimes festered unseen. Some accounts suggest unsanitary conditions so dire that the facility became a literal incubator for hepatitis by the US Army. Prisoners served as subject in experiments that the public later deemed unethical. Other stories tell of violent uprisings and assaults. In 1975, gang prisoners seized a cell block, held guards hostage, and spilled blood on the corridor floors. To walk the corridors is to feel the weight of lives broken, of desperation, of the unseen suffering that fades into silence only when the lights go out and the building breathes shadows.
• 52:32
Speaker B: That's true even today. Walking through there, you feel the suffering of those people, those souls.
• 52:41
Speaker A: In 2002, after nearly 144 years of operation, the old Joliet prison finally closed its doors. Budget cuts, structural obsolescence, and changing philosophies of incarceration hastened its end. Many of the inmates and staff were transferred to the nearby Statesville Correctional center, leaving the hulking penitentiary to its ghosts and its memories. Then came its decay. Vandals, fires, the inexorable corrosion of time. One building, the old mattress factory, was heavily damaged by arson in 2017. But the most haunting truth is not the crumbling masonry. It is that the voices of the past still linger in the empty wings.
• 53:34
  Speaker B: True. 100% true.
• 53:37
Speaker A: So today, the old Joliet prison stands as a historic site, open to tours and contemplation. In 2023, it was listed on the National Park Service national register of Historic Places. Visitors walk its grounds, hear the stories, imagine the clanks and slams, feel the chill of long, abandoned cells. Yet the place remains more than a museum piece. It is an invitation to face injustice, to witness the human cost of incarceration, to confront darkness. In the dim light of the yard at dusk, you might sense the silhouette of a guard or walking his rounds long after the shift ended. You might hear faintly the whisper of inmate voices as they recite their time, count the Days and dream of freedom.
• 54:35
  Speaker B: So.
• 54:36
Speaker A: So we were there not on a structured guided tour.
• 54:40
Speaker B: No, there was an option for a guided tour, and then there was an option for you to just roam around. And we wanted to just roam around by ourselves.
• 54:48
Speaker A: Yes. And do our own ghost hunt, if Will. And you. I'll also say this though, Jill, too, unlike the other two locations that were packed a lot of people around, on this particular day, it was cold and I want to say we were the only ones there at first.
• 55:07
Speaker B: At first we were the only ones there.
• 55:09
Speaker A: So we did not have the problem we had at the other smaller locations of running into people and kind of corruption of audio, etc. Except for the wind.
• 55:19
Speaker B: The wind was the only corruption of audio. So was there any location in the prison other than the cell block that we're going to talk about that you had an experience at?
• 55:31
Speaker A: Yes. Well, not an experience so much as I could feel the terror and the dread at the mount.
• 55:42
Speaker B: Tell. Tell them what the mount is.
• 55:44
Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. There is this man made mount, for lack of a better word. It is a earthen structure that it's. It's almost like a circle around it.
• 55:58
  Speaker B: Right, right.
• 55:59
Speaker A: It's a walkway, it's a walk path that is elevated on kind of a small hill right in the center of this complex. This. This prison complex. And apparently what they would do to give the women inmates exercise is to bring them up and walk them in a circle around the top of the mount. Do I have that right, Jill?
• 56:21
Speaker B: You have that absolutely right. Chained.
• 56:25
Speaker A: Oh, yes, of course, chained. And just leading them in a circle. Not unlike. And this comes to mind, horses. Like you would take horses and put them on kind of a circular path, like maybe to turn a mill or something. The livestock. Yeah, just that sort of. That was their exercise.
• 56:46
Speaker B: Yeah, I remember that. That was frightening. And it. It's frightening. You see the mound and you. You think, what the heck?
• 56:51
Speaker A: Like, why? Yeah, your heart drops, you see the mound and you're like, wait a minute, that can't be good. Whatever this is isn't good. And then you hear the story and you read the sign and you're like, wow, it's worse than I thought.
• 57:02
  Speaker B: Right?
• 57:03
  Speaker A: No kidding. Yeah.
• 57:05
Speaker B: So there are different wings of the cell blocks. We were in the south wing. And you need to picture this foreboding building that on the inside has no light. So there's like a string of Christmas lights to light the way through the wing. So there are pitch dark hallways and then there is this light of Christmas lights guiding the way Through a cell block. It is creepy. The wind is howling outside. There's condensation dripping down these stone walls. And there are cells after cell after cell of just small, confined space with, like a silver toilet.
• 58:03
Speaker A: Right. And the paint is peeling and there's puddles on the ground. And it's just, I cannot believe that they let people like. I'm glad that we had the opportunity to roam around in there, but honestly, like, dangerous. Dangerous, really? These doors are huge and heavy.
• 58:25
Speaker B: Anyway, so on this. In this space, I am taking up the rear and Jennifer is in between me and Kelly and Ryan. Now, this is a very long cell block.
• 58:43
  Speaker A: Yes.
• 58:43
Speaker B: And this is the first time Kelly has used the EMF detectors. So she is very focused on where the red is coming. Like when the red comes. Now, remember, there's no electricity in the building, Right. To get these Christmas lights working. There is a generator outside in the middle of the courtyard. Okay, we're walking. Kelly and Ryan take the lead. They're almost near the end of the cell block. Jen is edging closer to them, and I am in the rear a significant amount away. And I am using my cell phone to record and the EMF to check out, like, the different energies. And I'm feeling like I'm not being successful with the emf. Jen is going in and out, in and out of cells. Just weaving your way down the cell block, going in and out these cells. I stop and I'm looking at a window that is high up and very little light is coming in. And I hear this creepy ass laugh. And I stop and I'm like, was that fucking Kelly? Because I really hope that was Kelly. And what was happening is that Kelly's EMF was going crazy, but Kelly started talking after the. Whoa. So Jennifer says to me, yes, that's Kelly, but.
• 1:00:19
Speaker A: And I'm like, I didn't hear a laugh. I thought you were talking, talking about a voice. And Kelly was talking kind of to the entity that she thought was maybe firing up her emf.
• 1:00:31
Speaker B: Yes. So it was the creepiest thing, and I captured it.
• 1:00:38
Speaker A: Can we hear it now?
• 1:00:40
Speaker B: Please listen to it now. Please listen to the. The short version of just the laugh and then the longer version with the context. What is that? Was that Kelly?
• 1:01:11
Speaker A: It was both of ours, but it's going on.
• 1:01:16
Speaker B: What do you think?
• 1:01:19
Speaker A: I am not surprised. That is probably one of the creepiest audio instances of evidence that we've ever collected. And it makes me want to go back to the Joliet prison again and do some more investigating. I would you Know what, Jill? I would really like to maybe, you know, tell some voiceless stories from the Joliet prison. Can you imagine how many lives, you know, were there? How many souls maybe have stories to tell?
• 1:01:52
Speaker B: I wonder if we have access to any records that we can verify, any impressions that we're getting.
• 1:01:58
Speaker A: Yeah, that's a good. That's a good question. So, overall, which do you think was the scariest location that we discussed today? Was it the Demon house in Hartford City, Indiana? Was it the Amboy train depot in Amboy, Illinois, or the old Joliet Prison in Joliet, Illinois?
• 1:02:14
Speaker B: Hands down, old Joliet Prison.
• 1:02:16
Speaker A: Whole Juliet prison. Okay, I would agree with you.
• 1:02:20
Speaker B: Right in your backyard. So it is accessible for us to get to.
• 1:02:24
Speaker A: Now, before we sign off, we do have 205 ratings on Apple, and you guys are coming through for us. Months ago, we asked you to leave reviews, good ones on Apple. And if you could please continue, I would love to get to that next benchmark of 210. If five more people could get on and leave us reviews. We will read your. Your reviews. And I have one to read.
• 1:02:54
Speaker B: Jill, do you have one or two?
• 1:02:57
  Speaker A: I thought I had one.
• 1:02:59
Speaker B: I think we have two. Don't we have two? Really?
• 1:03:02
Speaker A: Why don't I read the one from. Oh, my gosh, you're right. We have two. Oh, my God, I love you guys. I didn't even realize we had two to read. Okay, so from Gentez 2024. She says, love you guys, exclamation point, five stars. I've been hooked on the podcast since I heard you on a psychic story. I listen to you every day. I love the mini history lessons in every story. Oh, the boo review is fantastic. Thank you, Jen. Tez, love you so much. Thank you. This keeps us going. This is what keeps us going.
• 1:03:37
Speaker B: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. And it just makes my heart flutter. Thank you.
• 1:03:42
Speaker A: We love you. Thank you. And then we've got another one from just a few days ago from KB777. KB says it's the voices for me. First episode I listened to was about Bill Moore. So good. The Southern accent was just pure awesomeness. Oh, my God. I think I must have done a Southern accent in that one.
• 1:04:04
Speaker B: I hope you did.
• 1:04:05
Speaker A: I I to expand my voice acting if we continue this podcast, because too often you put me on the spot and tell me to do an accent, and it always ends up being like Rhett Butler.
• 1:04:17
  Speaker B: I don't hate it.
• 1:04:19
Speaker A: I'll. I'll Work on that. She said then Deb, of course. She's talking about Deb Bowen, who we had on our podcast, Amazing Experience. Wow. She says, can you make a list of the books that were spoken of? And also maybe, if not too much to ask. Cliff, note of your notes.
• 1:04:39
  Speaker B: Interesting.
• 1:04:40
  Speaker A: Interesting.
• 1:04:41
Speaker B: Our notes from the road or our notes from Deb?
• 1:04:45
Speaker A: Yeah, or the outline. Can you get in touch with kb?
• 1:04:49
  Speaker B: Kb, I can.
• 1:04:51
Speaker A: I think you know who she is, don't you?
• 1:04:53
  Speaker B: No, I don't.
• 1:04:54
Speaker A: Oh, I thought you knew this person. Okay. All right, we'll Talk offline. Yeah. KB, why don't you email us@commonmysticsmail.com and tell us exactly what you mean by notes and which books. If you mean from the Deb episode or just in general. And. Oh, oh, Jill, she says there is a house haunted you both would be interested in. My grandmother told it to us years ago. I can share more information if you are both interested. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
