- 0:02It's Wednesday morning at eight thirty nine, and taking your calls to keep you
- 0:06a smiling with the healthy place. It's too good morning, Good morning,
- 0:13Sean. How are you this fine Wednesday? But doesn't it feel like Monday
- 0:17morning? It feels like Monday morning. But as soon as as soon as
- 0:20I hear your voice and you're bringing the energy, I thought, you know
- 0:22what, it's it's hump day, It's Wednesday. We're good to go.
- 0:25Man, everything is great in the world. I'm making this breakfast for the
- 0:28kids this morning. Anyhow, we have the firework hangover. I have four
- 0:33kids and we had so many fireworks last night and we didn't start any fire,
- 0:37which is really good. That's it. It's a positive these days.
- 0:41Scrambling up some eggs. What are you making there? What's what's on oatmeal?
- 0:46You know? We put a little maple syrup in their little peanut butter.
- 0:50We got some apples going. Honey crisp is my favorite. Oh man,
- 0:54that is sometime I'm full. You know, we've done it. We've
- 0:59done a couple of a couple of shows from the Fitchburg location. Maybe we
- 1:02should do a couple from the kitchen. Just a thought of y'all. That
- 1:06was kind of fun. Then you can see our supplement lineup. I got
- 1:07the kids eating and drinking all sorts of supplements that they're like, come on,
- 1:11we one called strath, so I call it Daddy's straths. All these
- 1:18different herbs. It's an a liquid like like alcoholic tinker. So you can
- 1:21imagine an eight year old like drinking down these herbs. Tinks are not super
- 1:26fun, but hey, immune system strong. Yeah, you know, got
- 1:30to keep those immute and strong for the kiddos. Yeah, we're gonna We've
- 1:33gotta speaking of that. We've got to talk about just some of the stuff
- 1:34too going on between the fires and from Canada. And I know that there's
- 1:38you mentioned fireworks. I know we want to bring up the fires again.
- 1:42Yeah yeah, and in the particulates from those. We got to talk about
- 1:46all that stuff, and of course a great opportunity. I know. One
- 1:49of the great things about chatting with Tim each and every week is folks love

- 2:28even if you have something real small going on. It's a helpful to
- 2:30my show and helpful to our audience. Prime time to get on the air

- 3:05are there for you as well. And again their telephone number six our telephone
- 3:08number here to get on the air with Tim O'Brien six eight three two one
- 3:12thirteen ten. That's three two one thirteen ten. And the website find your
- 3:15Healthy Place dot com. Let's talk to him about the air quality. And
- 3:20we've had air quality alerts and other issues. And for people that have compromised
- 3:25immune system or breathing issues, they're being affected. But even folks who have
- 3:30never and I'll throw myself into this, never had seriously had very minor asthma.
- 3:34But I'm going to tell you something. This smoke from these Canadian wildfires,
- 3:38they just seem to be be draining the energy out of me, Like
- 3:43I just feel lethargic, and I think it has a lot to do.
- 3:45It's just all that smoke that's been that's been inhaled over the past week or
- 3:49so that it's really the truth of it, and when you're looking at smoke
- 3:53in general, you know, there's these tiny particles in smoke that can irritate
- 3:57the eyes, nose, throw lungs. You know, this leads to coughing
- 4:00and wheezing, shortness of breath, feelings of tightness in the chest. You
- 4:04know, I have severe asthma, and I've talked to folks with chronic obstructive
- 4:10pulmonary disease at COPD, and it is it is really especially bad for those
- 4:15folks, and you can lead to other issues though. Two cardiovascular issues,
- 4:18allergic reactions, reduced immune function, mental health side effects, long term health
- 4:25risks. I mean, there's a whole variety and slew of issues. And
- 4:28it's not just from the fires. You know, there's like there's like for
- 4:31metaldehyde in this smoke. There's there's all these other chemicals just you know,
- 4:35I don't even amount of sciences. I don't know exactly all the reasons why,
- 4:39but it's like if we're breathing these things in on a regular basis,
- 4:42there is mega issues and fatigue is one of them, dizziness, you know,
- 4:46the list kind of goes on. So I have a bit of a
- 4:47lineup Sean and I have severe. I grew up with severe asthma. I
- 4:51have it under control about ten twelve years ago through diet and supplementation, really
- 4:57figured it out. So super happy with that. But something like this happens,
- 5:00and boy, I'm reminded what my childhood was like. It's been a
- 5:02real rough last couple of weeks for me, and so I have a whole
- 5:05lineup. I wanted to share it with the audience if there's anything else suffering
- 5:10out there from these conditions. You know, there's there's four products that I
- 5:14am slamming, and I mean like four times a day therapeutic ghosting of each
- 5:19one. So I'll kind of quickly fly through each one and sort of like
- 5:21what they do. So Bronchio Clear the first product I just called Bronchio Clear.
- 5:27These are all on our website. This is a liquid or comes in
- 5:30a tablet and this helps support the healthy lung upper respiratory functions. This is
- 5:34going to be good for getting the more productive coughs going. So for me,
- 5:40for my asthma, if I can't get the flegm out of my lungs,
- 5:44my wheezing, my tightness of chests, my breathing overall, it's like
- 5:46breathing through a straw. You've got to get that junk out of the lungs.
- 5:49So Bronchio clear has really helped me. Excuse me. Next one is
- 5:55bos Med bos med and this is a highly io available form of bosuelia.
- 6:01And for those that don't know, bosuelia comes from frankincense and if you can
- 6:06absorb that in a higher higher absorption, you're going to reduce the five locks
- 6:13inflammation in the chest. So you talk about breathing problems, there's inflammation involved
- 6:17and that's a certain type of inflammation called five locks and this bos pure happens
- 6:23to attack that reduce clean your lungs of inflammation, and it has your bosuelia.
- 6:29It also has some time in there, so a nice blend for the
- 6:32overall respiratory. And then the third products called Malane lung complex, and malane
- 6:38is an urban itself is real powerful for breathing and just lung health, strengthening
- 6:44the lungs. You talk about the long term approach to strengthen your lung health.
- 6:48Malane Lung complex is a great product by a brand named Planetary Herbals and
- 6:54it has all sorts of different ingredients in there that you haven't heard of long
- 6:58pepper fruit and plat coat in and wild cherry bark and cassia bark and just
- 7:01a real nice blend of herbs licorice root helps strengthen the lungs. And then
- 7:06the fourth one is sign you care and sinuses. I mean, big deal
- 7:12again with all this smoke, sinus bronchial lungs. This soothes the mucous membranes.
- 7:17I even liked to bite these eucalyptus soft gails open from the product sign
- 7:21you care, and it really you feel it. It's really intense, but
- 7:26you can also just swallow it. That's okay too. But those four sean
- 7:29have been helping myself dramatically. I take those four times a day, three
- 7:34of each, four times a day, and it's been really helping. And
- 7:38this is the most aggressive I have been in the area of supplementing around my
- 7:44lungs, my sinuses during this smoke. I mean, I've just never had
- 7:46anything like this this last couple of weeks, and it has really turned the
- 7:50ship around for me. So I want if you're listening or you have a
- 7:53loved one listening, I can also shoot the links to these four products tim
- 7:58at find your Healthy Place dot com. Tim at find your Healthy Place dot
- 8:01com. You can also call in the store. I've let my whole team
- 8:05know about my personal regiment that I'm seeing some real cool breakthrough here because Sean,
- 8:09there's a lot of people suffering out there from the smoke right now,
- 8:11and it's it's the aftermath too, I mean, because it's been clearing up,
- 8:15but it still drags on for people for months and you look, yeah,
- 8:20months, I was gonna say weeks, but months even. Well you
- 8:22think about two the particulates and all that stuff that people say, well I
- 8:24don't see in the sky, Well that all went somewhere. It is coating
- 8:26everything. So if you're walking through the grass or you're you know, you're
- 8:31driving in your car, it's still being kicked up in the air as well.
- 8:33And as you were talking about some of the different approaches is sometimes you
- 8:37know, for one person, some of the symptoms are, you know,
- 8:39I feel it in my lungs, I feel a breathing, I feel congestion
- 8:43in my chest. Some people say I don't feel it there. I feel
- 8:46it in my nose, or I feel it in my eyes. And having
- 8:48some different tools to really attack these different these different systems and symptoms is a
- 8:54great benefits just a game changer. I mean, you think about attacking your
- 8:58eyes. You mentioned you know, dry eyes can be enough to drive you
- 9:01absolutely bonkers, and that just ties into our mission shown. It's like there's
- 9:05there's natural alternatives out there that work, and it's just so good to have
- 9:09a resource, whether it's the healthy place or another place you trust or another
- 9:13person you trust. You know, dry eyes, I think about Omega seven
- 9:16sea buckthorn. Within two days you feel hydration in your eyes. And it's
- 9:22just some of these folks that deal with the chronic dry eyes or dry eyes
- 9:26from this this smoke that we've been battling. I mean, it's so nice
- 9:30to have a source to natural alternatives. So I'm just trying to try to
- 9:33trying to get folks thinking about natural alternatives first, like before you go towards
- 9:39drugs or before you go towards surgery. You know, we have a great
- 9:43medical professional, hopefully on your team. You know, get somebody else on
- 9:46your team that knows about natural alternatives too, so that we can work as
- 9:48a greater team. It's phenomenal stuff and it's a great opportunity today if you've
- 9:52got issues with the air, having some eye issues, breathing issue with a
- 9:56wellness consultant. You also order right online or again, even better, stop
- 9:58on in. They'd love to see you. West side of Madison Fitchburger's Son
- 10:01Prairie and the phone lines they are open for you right now at six eight
- 10:05three two one thirteen ten. That's six o eight three two one thirteen ten.
- 10:09Gets you on the air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. I
- 10:11know a lot of us with this four day weekend, probably dragging this morning.
- 10:15Maybe you're thinking about having a little extra cup of coffee or something like
- 10:18that. We'll talk about ways to get better sleep and of course getting a
- 10:20better sleep regiment. We'll talk about that with Tim and of course take your
- 10:24call next as asked the experts with Kat Touches fifty thirteen ten. Wiba phone
- 10:37lines are open for you right now. Get you on the air with Tim
- 10:39O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Hook you up with the twenty five dour gift
- 10:41card to the Healthy Place for you a great question, I'll got just pick
- 10:43up phone. Gus called this morning six eight three two one thirteen ten.
- 10:48That's six o eight three two one thirteen ten. Learn more about the Healthy
- 10:50Place on their website find your Healthy Place dot com. That's fine, your
- 10:56Healthy Place dot com. Three locations west side of Madison, furg and some
- 11:00prey wellness consultants there to help you at all three locations, as well as
- 11:03inline at find your Healthy Place dot com. So I got a couple of
- 11:07minutes if you've got a question for Tim Love to get you on the air
- 11:09this morning six three two one thirteen ten at six three two one thirteen ten.
- 11:13And I know the feeling a lot of us after a four day weekend
- 11:18kind of get out of our sleep cycles, our sleep patterns, and I
- 11:20can cause all sorts of problems for us. You need to get good quality
- 11:24sleep, and you also need energy during the day. And unfortunately, Tim,
- 11:28I see a lot of people turning to things on the gas station and
- 11:31the cooler there, and you look at them and they try to make it
- 11:35seem like they're all this and all that, and you start reading the ingredients,
- 11:37You're going, what in the heck is this junk that I'm putting in
- 11:39my body. Let's talk about some natural energy and some waite folks can can
- 11:46kind of get back in the swing of things. Yeah, you know,
- 11:48circadian rhythm is an interesting thing, so I do always like to give a
- 11:52shout out, like going to sleep and waking up at the same time every
- 11:56day is real powerful for the body, and like you said, it's really
- 12:00easy to get out of that cycle. I've also read that every hour of
- 12:03sleep you get before midnight is equivalent to two hours after midnight, and I
- 12:09don't know if that's backed up by science. It was a pretty solid article.
- 12:11It made sense to me, but just just interesting to go to sleep
- 12:16with the sun and then wake up with the sun. As a side note
- 12:18from a supplement standpoint, though, there is supplements that really help people,
- 12:24and sleep is a catastrophic issue in our culture just in general, falling asleep,
- 12:30staying asleep, deeper sleep, I wake up, I can't fall back
- 12:33asleep. Those sorts of things are a very consistent issue for people, and
- 12:37stress messages with that, and too much caffeine messes with that, and health
- 12:43issues mess with that. And there's some supplements that can really help. So
- 12:46if you battle sleep issues, i'd encourage you to pop in one of our
- 12:52stores call hit. The live chat feature on a website find your Healthyplace dot
- 12:56com, find out, ask a couple of questions, explain your situation,
- 13:01because everybody's situation is just a little bit different and those nuances change the recommendations
- 13:07coming from our wellness consultants. So if you don't know you're listening, we
- 13:11have wellness consultants at our store. We don't do commission because we don't want
- 13:13it guided by dollars. We want it guided by what's best for our community.
- 13:18You go in, you call, you ask a question, you explain
- 13:20your situation. Wellness consultants, so we don't pretend to be doctors or pharmacists.
- 13:24We know supplements, We know supplements really well, good, better,
- 13:28best brands, forms of ingredients, and most importantly, we know what's been
- 13:33working for our community this last thirteen years. So if you have sleep issues,
- 13:37one product I want to give a shout out too because it's been so
- 13:41popular in our community is one called snooze Fest. And snooze Fest besides having
- 13:45a really cool name, I love these names that the creative team comes up
- 13:48with. Here has your content to help you all those main areas I mentioned,
- 13:52fall asleep, stay asleep, deeper sleep, Gabba is an amino acid
- 13:56in here that helps get you into that deeper rem sleep. It's an amino
- 14:01acid. All of this is natural, doesn't leave you feeling groggy, There's
- 14:05not side effects to it. Tripp To Fan is a very well known amino
- 14:09acid that helps you fall asleep. Valerian Route and California Poppy help you stay
- 14:13asleep. So this formula has been kicking and I just want to encourage you
- 14:18if you're dealing with sleep issues. I mean, the consequences of sleep problems
- 14:24in your day to day life are much higher than you might think. In
- 14:28fact, when customers come into our store, Sean and they will ask questions
- 14:31about, you know, digestion or this or this or that, it's interesting
- 14:35because one of our questions always will come back to how is your sleep health?
- 14:39Because sleep health impacts so many other areas of your body. So we
- 14:43need to get you sleeping deeper. One of the great things too, Tim
- 14:46is we talk about about, you know, natural ways and to help yourself
- 14:52relax and sleep. I think a lot of folks have maybe tried some over
- 14:56the counter this or that or something that's that's supposed to help you sleep,
- 14:58and it guess a lot of that stuff. It'll knock you out, but
- 15:01you wake up in the morning and you're like that, I actually even sleep
- 15:03is you almost feel worse by by taking some of those some of those medications
- 15:09and some of those some of those drugs, you feel worse the next morning
- 15:13than you did. Then it's like, what was the point. Yeah,
- 15:15I may have fallen asleep, but I didn't really feel like I slept at
- 15:18all. Well, I have heard some side effects. I like to share
- 15:20this. You know, Ambient is a very popular pharmaceutical drug for sleep,
- 15:24and some of the side effects are sleepwalking. And this is maybe a little
- 15:28more common than you might think. And so I hear these stories, you
- 15:31know, pretty regular of sleepwalking issues. But my favorite is when somebody actually
- 15:37leaves the house and doesn't know it. And one story that always comes to
- 15:41mind is this This lady went to the gas station middle of the night and
- 15:45bought a gallon of milk. She had already had milk in refrigerator, but
- 15:48she's like, I don't know what happened. And I woke up in the
- 15:50morning and there was a gallon of milk on its side, open on the
- 15:54counter, and I don't understand. I must have gone. She I don't
- 15:58know how she knew you into the gap, but she's like, I must
- 16:00have gone somewhere because this was And it's those stories that with the side effects,
- 16:06and like you said, you wake up feeling feeling drugged, and that's
- 16:08because you have been well stated. That's why we talk about some of the
- 16:17great you know, some of the great stuff and something. I just love
- 16:19the conversation because if there's if there's you know, I always encourage people,
- 16:22hey, work with your medical professional, work with your pharmacists. That's very
- 16:26important. You know, they know things that we don't know. And and
- 16:29there's there's also natural alternatives that work for these issues that don't have the side
- 16:33effects. And if you can get deep sleep health with natural supplement, and
- 16:40you can get deeper sleep, you wake up feeling vibrant even or even just
- 16:44a little bit better. Don't have to be all the way to vibrant,
- 16:47but you're you're feeling a little better and you're not having any those side effects.
- 16:49Like that's worth knowing about. So if you if you have this issue
- 16:52or you have a loved one that that does maybe bring up something like snooze
- 16:56fest and you want to work with your medical professional and getting off the pharmaceutical
- 17:00drugs because if you just hit those cold turkey and you act them, um,
- 17:03there's some negative side effects, so we don't encourage that. Really important,
- 17:07guys. By the way, we started our conversation talking about about the
- 17:11climate and of course the air quality. It's been hot as well. One
- 17:15of the things too, I love following you on social media, tim Um.
- 17:18Of course the Healthy Place on social media. You got a recipe up
- 17:21right now for blueberry ice cream pops. So everything, yes, say too.
- 17:27So I know what I'm doing when I get out of here today,
- 17:30I'm gonna make up some I did before we wrap up this week. It's
- 17:33really important. We touched on it a little bit earlier about a little bit
- 17:37about the mission of the Healthy Place and really what what drives everybody at the
- 17:41Healthy Place, You, Becky and the whole team. What keeps you guys
- 17:45motivated? What keeps you going? Let's talk a little bit about that.
- 17:48Yeah, dude, you know, I have this belief because of an experience
- 17:52I went through and I was eighteen, where my life I was ready to
- 17:55just throw it away and I and I had no love for myself didn't care
- 17:57about myself, my health, anyone around me, my family authorities. I
- 18:02was very selfish, very angry, very bitter in life. You know.
- 18:06I wasn't naturally good at school or sports or music, or I didn't know
- 18:10where to go, what to do, you know. And I had this
- 18:12very cool sort of got experience that all of a sudden I realized that my
- 18:15goodness, I have been built for a purpose. I have a purpose.
- 18:18And I started searching out, seeking out like what is that purpose? Like
- 18:22what am I supposed to do? And I discovered I really liked encouraging people.
- 18:26I liked trying to inspire people, and I had a passion on this
- 18:30natural alternative thing. So that started when I was about nineteen years old.
- 18:33I had this sort of explosion in my life of my goodness. I have
- 18:37one chance at life, and I want to make a difference. I want
- 18:40to do something that has value, and I care about myself now and now
- 18:44I want to care about other people. And it was this cool sort of
- 18:47trajectory. And then I met Becky in two thousand and seven, and her
- 18:49mom had a health crisis that led her into the natural alternative industry. So
- 18:53she had this passion to help people, and so that led to two thousand
- 18:56and ten, we're going to be co owners. We're going to open this
- 19:00company called The Healthy Place, and we're gonna impact Fitchburg and that's where it
- 19:03started in twenty ten, and then they expanded to Sun Prairie twenty fifteen,
- 19:07West Madison twenty nineteen, and now I just have Dane County. Dane County
- 19:12is like our area. Man, we are after it. I want I
- 19:17want human life expectancy to increase in Dane County, and I want the amount
- 19:21of pharmaceutical drugs with side effects like minimized in Dane County because people are healthier,
- 19:26they're feeling better, and it's because of or part of because of the
- 19:30Healthy Place impacting people every day. We're on this mission sean to impact and
- 19:36to empower and to educate as many people as we can and inspire them.
- 19:41I like to visualize, like fanning a flame, like everyone's at a different
- 19:45place in their health and their wellness and their journey their belief structure around how
- 19:49health should be handled. And the main thing I keep hitting and I'll do
- 19:53it to the day I die, is like like you are the CEO of
- 19:56your own health. And you have a mission responsibility to not give up,
- 20:02you know, and people give up, and they tend to lose hope,
- 20:03and they are in chronic pain, and they're in stress and their anxiety depression.
- 20:08And the healthy place, if we can help even one percent, that's
- 20:11our mission every day today. So today to start that journey to get on
- 20:14that. It's an important day to get into the healthy place, whether it's
- 20:17Fitchburg, West Side of Madison, Sun Prairie, online find your Healthy Place
- 20:21dot com. That's fine, you're a healthy place dot com. Don't let
- 20:25another day go by. It's time for your own independence. Get on into
