- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm your former Hallmark hater. Today we're discussing fan favorite
- 0:23Speaker 1: The Irresistible Blueberry Farm, which originally premiered on Hallmark Movies
- 0:27Speaker 1: and Mysteries in October twenty sixteen. It was like a
- 0:31Speaker 1: long time ago, doesn't it? It does? Hey, Come hang
- 0:36Speaker 1: out with us outside of the podcast on Instagram. We
- 0:38Speaker 1: have two accounts. We are at Girls Gone Hallmark and
- 0:43Speaker 1: Megan and Wendy. No spaces in either of those names.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Join our Facebook group. Come on over, Girls Gone Hallmark,
- 0:51Speaker 1: Come on over, Come on on over, babe. You know,
- 0:55Speaker 1: I just saw like a really funny comment about our
- 0:59Speaker 1: podcast and I said, I just love it because you
- 1:02Speaker 1: don't have ads on it. And I was like, I thought,
- 1:05Speaker 1: that's my least favorite thing about it. You better hope
- 1:12Speaker 1: this podcast doesn't grow anymore, all right those days on numbers,
- 1:17Speaker 1: I was like, Oh, I'm so sorry it's coming, but
- 1:20Speaker 1: we hope you'll stick around. Are you ready for a synopsis?
- 1:24Speaker 1: I am okay. A young woman receives a letter that
- 1:27Speaker 1: her deceased grandmother requests she hand deliver to a man
- 1:32Speaker 1: in her grandmother's childhood home in Maine. She begins a
- 1:36Speaker 1: journey of discovery of her grandmother, herself, and quality of life.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Okay Tiver News and notes. This was directed by Christopher Tabori.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Christopher has a long resume of directing, including a single
- 1:47Speaker 1: episode of the Gone Too Soon series Jack and Jill
- 1:51Speaker 1: That was My Amanda Pete Gateway Drug. He's directed a
- 1:54Speaker 1: number of movies for Homework, including Love on the Air,
- 1:57Speaker 1: also starring one Alison Sweeney. I love that movie, you know.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I noticed that when I had to rewatch a couple
- 2:04Speaker 1: scenes in this movie and I saw that he was
- 2:06Speaker 1: credited as Katie Donaldson. I know he goes like, hmm, both,
- 2:11Speaker 1: he does both. I don't understand why, but I just
- 2:14Speaker 1: noticed it's both. Okay anyway. This movie is based on
- 2:18Speaker 1: the book The Irresistible Blueberry Bake Shop and Cafe by
- 2:23Speaker 1: Mary Simpsy's Alice Sweeney read the book and reached out
- 2:26Speaker 1: to Mary to adapt it for the television screen. Ali
- 2:29Speaker 1: is also one of the executive producers of this movie.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Melissa Sammons wrote the teleplay for this movie based on
- 2:39Speaker 1: their original story. Melissa has written a number of Alison
- 2:42Speaker 1: Sweeney movies, including a Magical Christmas Village, Christmas at the
- 2:46Speaker 1: Holly Lodge, and Carrot Cake Murder. She's also a prolific
- 2:50Speaker 1: soap opera writer, having written one hundred and fifteen episodes
- 2:54Speaker 1: of Days of Our Lives, one hundred and forty four
- 2:57Speaker 1: episodes of One Life to Live, and three hunt hundred
- 3:00Speaker 1: and eighty seven episodes of As the World Turns. That's
- 3:04Speaker 1: a lot of work, a lot of work. Alison Sweeney
- 3:08Speaker 1: plays Ellen Branford. Branford, she plays Ellen. She has for
- 3:14Speaker 1: She has forty five acting credits, which includes twenty four
- 3:17Speaker 1: Hallmark movies and Hold On to Your Hats Guys, three thousand,
- 3:21Speaker 1: six hundred and twelve episodes of Days of Our Lives
- 3:25Speaker 1: as Sammy Brady. To be clear, she's not Sammy Brady
- 3:30Speaker 1: out at all times. Her last name does change, but okay.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Mark Lucas plays Roy Cumberfield. He's currently starring in My
- 3:37Speaker 1: Life with the Walter Boys on Netflix. He played Ali
- 3:40Speaker 1: Sweeney's love interest once again in Good Morning Christmas in
- 3:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty, but his last Christmas movie was a Christmas
- 3:47Speaker 1: Dot Dot Present co starring CCB for Gas. Is he
- 3:54Speaker 1: exclusive with GAF. He has not worked for Homewark in
- 3:57Speaker 1: a while. I wonder what the story is there? Real
- 4:01Speaker 1: shame because I find them to be a real wowie's
- 4:03Speaker 1: howe I agree. Rebecca Shirley Jones plays grandmother Ruth. Shirley
- 4:08Speaker 1: is eighty nine years old currently and throughout her career
- 4:11Speaker 1: has starred in Oklahoma, The Music Man, and Carousel. She
- 4:16Speaker 1: also played Shirley Partridge on the Partridge Family and one
- 4:21Speaker 1: might assume she is working less frequently these days, but
- 4:24Speaker 1: she does have a project in development called Beyond Legend
- 4:27Speaker 1: Johnny Dakota. The Irresistible Blu Ray Farm was filmed on
- 4:30Speaker 1: location in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the small towns of
- 4:35Speaker 1: Brackendale and Gibson, British Columbia. Let's talk first impressions. Go ahead,
- 4:43Speaker 1: what kind of sociopath orders a bowl of blueberries at
- 4:46Speaker 1: a bakery? It's on my digitite. We are going to
- 4:50Speaker 1: talk about it. My first impression is to sisk. This
- 4:55Speaker 1: is one of Megan's least favorite homework tropes. I mean,
- 4:59Speaker 1: it goes without saying and we're gonna talk about it.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But let's talk about what we liked. Okay, will it
- 5:07Speaker 1: tell you anything about my thoughts about the movie? If
- 5:09Speaker 1: the first thing I liked was Paula at the inn, Oh,
- 5:13Speaker 1: really so dry, so sarcastic. She's just like, oh, I'll
- 5:18Speaker 1: have the conzierge hold on to that like housekeepings, holding
- 5:20Speaker 1: onto your room. She just took it and stride every time.
- 5:23Speaker 1: When Ellen Branford popped back in after leaving. Yeah, yeah,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I liked her too. You didn't like this movie, send
- 5:32Speaker 1: your emails to Megan and Wendy at gmail dot com.
- 5:35Speaker 1: There were things I didn't like about this movie. Okay, okay,
- 5:39Speaker 1: let me tell you the biggest thing I liked about
- 5:41Speaker 1: this Yeah. Since watching it, it has kind of lived
- 5:45Speaker 1: rent free in my head because I was like, what
- 5:47Speaker 1: do people like? Why is this a fan favorite? Why
- 5:50Speaker 1: have we gotten so many requests to review this? Yes?
- 5:53Speaker 1: Like what do people look good about it? Right? And
- 5:58Speaker 1: for me, it's very typical Hallmark, especially in twenty sixteen, Like,
- 6:02Speaker 1: I just yeah, it's your It's a cookie cutter Hallmark movie.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Do you feel like for twenty sixteen though it was
- 6:08Speaker 1: a great movie? Probably? Nope, Yes, I agree. Okay, So
- 6:13Speaker 1: we recently had a review out for Scottish Love Scheme,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and I had said in that review, I said, like,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I really like that movie, if you want to go
- 6:21Speaker 1: back and listen to that review. But there's something This
- 6:25Speaker 1: is what I think people like certain movies for certain reasons. Yes,
- 6:29Speaker 1: things resonate with them. And in this movie, there is
- 6:34Speaker 1: a scene where Mark Lucas Roy is talking to Ellen
- 6:39Speaker 1: and he's talking about why his previous marriage didn't work out,
- 6:43Speaker 1: and he says like, I felt like I was living
- 6:46Speaker 1: in someone else's scay. Yeah, it was a life I
- 6:48Speaker 1: didn't hintend for myself. And I thought, is that it
- 6:51Speaker 1: did that hit with people with this movie because it's
- 6:54Speaker 1: very like a common feeling to have, yes, And so honestly,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I think that's it, because I think the movie as
- 7:03Speaker 1: a whole was Yeah. I think these one little thing
- 7:08Speaker 1: is because when Ellen understands that from Roy, she has
- 7:11Speaker 1: her own epiphany, yeah, and then goes on to do
- 7:15Speaker 1: the same thing. She even says it at the end
- 7:16Speaker 1: like I don't feel like I'm leaving in my own
- 7:18Speaker 1: scanneror whatever. So yeah, I think it just resonates with
- 7:22Speaker 1: people and their choices in life. That's the biggest takeaway
- 7:26Speaker 1: from the movie that I got Yeah, that part I enjoyed.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I think that's interesting insight. Okay. And then when I
- 7:34Speaker 1: think these things out and I like put them to paper,
- 7:37Speaker 1: like for my notes, I'm like, is this too deep?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Is this too much? I don't think so. I think
- 7:42Speaker 1: there were a lot of pieces that worked nicely in
- 7:45Speaker 1: this movie, and I will tear them apart in our
- 7:49Speaker 1: next segment. But Alie Swinging, there's something about a soap
- 7:52Speaker 1: opera actress. She's so comfortable on screen, and she embodies
- 7:58Speaker 1: as character very well. I always find her very pleasant
- 8:02Speaker 1: to watch. She's great. I loved Mark Blucas. I thought
- 8:05Speaker 1: he was warm and sweet and even in those moments
- 8:08Speaker 1: where he's kind of giving her a hard time, is
- 8:12Speaker 1: not mean spirited and really likable. I liked all of
- 8:16Speaker 1: those elements on their own. Okay, is that all you
- 8:19Speaker 1: have her liked? Then? Okay. I have a few little other,
- 8:24Speaker 1: little little, little, little little little I agree with you
- 8:28Speaker 1: about Alie Sweeney. She's always a home run for me
- 8:31Speaker 1: and I and I say this time and time again.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I think soap actors have a different acting ability than
- 8:40Speaker 1: other actors. I don't know, there's just something that they
- 8:44Speaker 1: bring that's different. I don't know what it is exactly. Well.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I've heard people talk about how soap actors, because they
- 8:51Speaker 1: had they produced so many episodes, right, that they're just
- 8:54Speaker 1: masters of learning their lines, and so I think that
- 8:57Speaker 1: part they're really good at. Like I can learn the
- 8:59Speaker 1: line and now I have the energy to put into
- 9:02Speaker 1: acting instead of thinking thinking thinking what's my line? What's
- 9:05Speaker 1: my line? What's my line? Like I can memorize lines
- 9:07Speaker 1: all day long, and now let me deliver it in
- 9:11Speaker 1: a way get it. I think she does that me too.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I think she's great. Shirley Jones was I thought lovely
- 9:18Speaker 1: as dearly departed Grandma. It was nice to see her
- 9:22Speaker 1: in a Hallmark movie. She has a lovely presence, I
- 9:26Speaker 1: just think. And finally, I truly believe that Mark Lucas
- 9:32Speaker 1: and Alice Sweeney had some really nice chemistry, playful energy.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I love the scene when they're playing darts and she's
- 9:41Speaker 1: just giving him the hardest time. I just thought that.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I just love that or she was interrogating him about
- 9:47Speaker 1: like his past or you know whatever. I liked their
- 9:53Speaker 1: scenes together. Yeah, and when they're they have that real
- 9:57Speaker 1: sweet dancing moment early on for her fiance shows up
- 10:02Speaker 1: and she kind of realizes, like she shouldn't be doing this,
- 10:05Speaker 1: and he walks away. He's like, what's happening here? Like
- 10:08Speaker 1: his reactions real genuine, Like I just opened up to you,
- 10:11Speaker 1: and now you're gonna run away before it's your turn
- 10:13Speaker 1: to share? Right? I liked it. Okay, let's move on
- 10:16Speaker 1: to what you wished for? All right? Well, let's get
- 10:19Speaker 1: rid of the elephant of the room real quick. Ellen's
- 10:21Speaker 1: a total hussy. See, she has a boyfriend who has
- 10:27Speaker 1: proposed to her. She's carrying around the ring, which I'd
- 10:30Speaker 1: like to discuss in our next segment, but she multiple
- 10:33Speaker 1: times makes decisions that are are you ready for it?
- 10:37Speaker 1: This is real old hallmark unbecoming of a woman in
- 10:40Speaker 1: a relationship. God, why kisses Roy after he saves her
- 10:47Speaker 1: from the water? What the hell? Man? Like? What was that?
- 10:50Speaker 1: What was that about? Huh? She I feel like the
- 10:54Speaker 1: dance was like walking a line. Uh huh. Then, even
- 10:59Speaker 1: once hate shows up, Hayden's apparently off having an allergic
- 11:02Speaker 1: reaction to these oysters. He's sleeping it off. She goes
- 11:06Speaker 1: on like a day date with Roy and they have
- 11:08Speaker 1: another like connection moment. She doesn't share any of this.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I don't like it, Okay, I hear you. Now, is
- 11:16Speaker 1: there any part because I can't remember why didn't she
- 11:19Speaker 1: say yes right away to whatever his name is? Hated?
- 11:25Speaker 1: She's just said she needed to think about it, so
- 11:29Speaker 1: they're invested in that relationship. Really, then she should have
- 11:34Speaker 1: broken up with him. That's fair, I mean, but people
- 11:37Speaker 1: are complicated and things aren't so easily black and white,
- 11:41Speaker 1: true justice, family ties, people can be redeemed. Yes, yes, look,
- 11:47Speaker 1: you know I hate this and I don't like dishonesty,
- 11:50Speaker 1: and I, of course I think that Roy and Ellen
- 11:55Speaker 1: are the better match. Rebecca Stop as Cynthia Branford is
- 11:58Speaker 1: so unlikable in this movie, Like she doesn't even seem
- 12:01Speaker 1: to like her daughter. She only cares like what her
- 12:04Speaker 1: daughter can do to make her vision of her life nice,
- 12:11Speaker 1: not even her actual life, Like you need to marry
- 12:14Speaker 1: this politician, and you need to have this society wedding.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And even at one point, Ellen's wearing her hair down,
- 12:20Speaker 1: not messy, not wet, not unstyled, just not in a
- 12:24Speaker 1: neat little bun, and her Mom's like, oh is that
- 12:26Speaker 1: a new hairstyle? You're the worst, right, So I just
- 12:33Speaker 1: think Ellen, it's it doesn't make sense to me. She
- 12:39Speaker 1: carries the ring with her out of town. She then
- 12:44Speaker 1: puts the ring on after having this like moment with Roy,
- 12:48Speaker 1: takes it off, puts it on, like you need to
- 12:51Speaker 1: pick and you need to communicate to these men. I'm
- 12:54Speaker 1: in a complicated space. I need to put everything on
- 12:57Speaker 1: pause and think about this. Yeah. No, I need to
- 12:59Speaker 1: continue falling for Roy. I need to continue leading on
- 13:02Speaker 1: my fiance. I need to continue talking to my mom
- 13:04Speaker 1: as if we're having a wedding, Please communicate. I like
- 13:09Speaker 1: all those thoughts. Okay, I like all those thoughts. And
- 13:12Speaker 1: maybe maybe the story wasn't completely like fleshed out in
- 13:15Speaker 1: that term. Maybe she puts the ring back on because
- 13:17Speaker 1: she needs to remember, like, oh, I have a fiance,
- 13:21Speaker 1: I shouldn't have kissed that man in the ocean. Yes,
- 13:24Speaker 1: and had her behavior changed that way, I would buy that. Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 1: But then she continues, yeah, no, I hear you, to
- 13:33Speaker 1: be drawn towards Ruin, I hear you. I'm I feel
- 13:35Speaker 1: like Hayden got done dirty in this movie. I mean,
- 13:40Speaker 1: he seemed like a nice guy. He wasn't like a jerk, right,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I kept waiting for him to kind of be a
- 13:45Speaker 1: bad guy. He's not really, he's not a match for her.
- 13:48Speaker 1: He's like mister eggwhite omelet gotta be like buttoned up politician. Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 1: but not a bad guy. He was very polite to
- 13:56Speaker 1: the waitress in that. I thought it was very telling
- 13:59Speaker 1: when he asked for hot sauce and she was like, oh,
- 14:01Speaker 1: I'll get it, and he goes, oh, no, your hands
- 14:02Speaker 1: are full, I'll get it. He wasn't being a jerk. No,
- 14:04Speaker 1: he just knowledged who he was and wasn't a good match.
- 14:08Speaker 1: And even he was kind of like pushing her to
- 14:11Speaker 1: go be with Roy. Yeah he got done dirty. I
- 14:14Speaker 1: thought I got done dirty. Uh. The title of this
- 14:19Speaker 1: movie absolutely does nothing for it. If I was choosing
- 14:24Speaker 1: a movie on the title alone, you'd never watch it. No, never,
- 14:28Speaker 1: because the irresistible Blueberry farm like evokes a different image.
- 14:32Speaker 1: To me, it was not this movie. It was so bizarre,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and so it's funny that it's based off of a book,
- 14:41Speaker 1: which is like I think, told from the bakery owner's perspective.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Perhaps I could be wrong, but it's just bizarre to me.
- 14:50Speaker 1: It's bizarre. Tell me, why, tell me? Why? Oh my god,
- 14:55Speaker 1: shoot me. She has to hand deliver this letter at
- 14:58Speaker 1: her grandmother's request. Right, she can't find the address, Like,
- 15:05Speaker 1: she can't. She has the address of the physical, but
- 15:08Speaker 1: she can't find the home to deliver. Does the internet
- 15:11Speaker 1: not exist? She goes to the whatever, the county record company,
- 15:17Speaker 1: but doesn't say to them where is this address? Doesn't
- 15:20Speaker 1: say to the woman who clearly knows everybody in town
- 15:23Speaker 1: who runs the inn because that's like the one bar
- 15:26Speaker 1: restaurant in town. Yeah, do you know this person? Right?
- 15:29Speaker 1: She doesn't. She's a terrible detective. Oh, Hannah Swinson, Oh,
- 15:37Speaker 1: Hannah Swinson. Look, this movie Bad Job Sorry, has so
- 15:40Speaker 1: much nervous energy for me. Oh. The first third of
- 15:45Speaker 1: this movie jumps around so much in a way I
- 15:47Speaker 1: find so uncomfortable to watch. First of all, the beginning
- 15:50Speaker 1: I had to rewatch it to figure out why is
- 15:54Speaker 1: she going to this place? What? Okay? So she plays
- 15:57Speaker 1: these like word games with her grandmother, apparently her grandmother's past.
- 16:01Speaker 1: She's on this last mission and she's like, I've got
- 16:03Speaker 1: to go, and her mom's like, is that a good
- 16:05Speaker 1: choice for you? It's unclear why it's a bad choice. Yeah. Like,
- 16:10Speaker 1: she doesn't seem to have some big project at work
- 16:12Speaker 1: that she's leaving behind other than like she needs to
- 16:15Speaker 1: focus on her potential fiance. I can't quite figure out
- 16:18Speaker 1: why her mom is so against her leaving. She leaves
- 16:23Speaker 1: three times and keeps coming back. She has no plan.
- 16:27Speaker 1: The woman is an attorney. She has no plan, no process.
- 16:32Speaker 1: She doesn't ask any of the right questions to any
- 16:35Speaker 1: of the right people. Right, She's like, I gotta get
- 16:38Speaker 1: out of here, I gotta I gotta go back. I'm
- 16:40Speaker 1: here for a week at least. I gotta get out
- 16:41Speaker 1: of here. I just thought, please just sit down, get
- 16:44Speaker 1: out a piece of paper, because you're right, the Internet
- 16:47Speaker 1: doesn't appear to exist. Because as correspondent Mike, thank you
- 16:51Speaker 1: for sending us an email. He's back pointed out. She
- 16:55Speaker 1: picks up all those newspapers. It's twenty sixteen. There's gonna
- 16:58Speaker 1: be a digital edition of the new news paper. Yes,
- 17:01Speaker 1: also they didn't have her name. Didn't matter. But this
- 17:04Speaker 1: is the land where the Internet doesn't exist. Pick up
- 17:07Speaker 1: a pad of paper and make yourself a list, lady,
- 17:10Speaker 1: for real. It's like she gets in her car and
- 17:12Speaker 1: its like, I have no idea what to do next. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 1: talk to me, ghost, Grandma, talk to me. That's what
- 17:18Speaker 1: they should untitled movie Love It. I have to talk
- 17:24Speaker 1: about the karaoke scene made me so uncomfortable. I don't
- 17:28Speaker 1: like karaoke. Don't expect me to karaoke on the Hellmark
- 17:32Speaker 1: cruise that we're going on. No, no, no, I will
- 17:34Speaker 1: go partake and watch. I love that. But I don't
- 17:38Speaker 1: know if Alie Sweeney should have been up there singing.
- 17:42Speaker 1: It was so hey. I got a hand it to
- 17:44Speaker 1: her for her hair down and like steaks out her hair.
- 17:49Speaker 1: She really went for it. I don't like karaoke. You
- 17:53Speaker 1: might recall our review of Love of the Thanksgiving Day
- 17:57Speaker 1: Parade our secondhand embarrassment for Autumn research in her karaoke moment,
- 18:02Speaker 1: which was one hundred times better than this one. I
- 18:07Speaker 1: might have sped through the scene. It was a touch
- 18:10Speaker 1: too long. I watched this movie twice, and on second watch,
- 18:14Speaker 1: I I just boo boo boo boo boo boom, and
- 18:18Speaker 1: it was it was footloose. Right, that's a great song.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I think that's a great choice. Why what is it?
- 18:24Speaker 1: How what's the relevance with the She's gotta cut loose?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Oh god, I can't it's no, no, no, all right?
- 18:33Speaker 1: You're ready for did you see that. Yes, explain to
- 18:36Speaker 1: me how she looks at that metal lobster and goes,
- 18:39Speaker 1: I bet there's newspapers in there. Yeah. I've never seen
- 18:42Speaker 1: anything like that in my entire life. I've been to Maine,
- 18:44Speaker 1: I haven't seen I've never seen its main du And
- 18:52Speaker 1: Mike points it out too, and he's like, it's also
- 18:56Speaker 1: pretty dangerous the way it just seems to snapshot on
- 18:58Speaker 1: you without Yeah. She mad woman decapitated by lobster newspaper container. Yeah. Wow.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Mike also points out that there's a point where she
- 19:08Speaker 1: picks up newspapers in front of like the city hall
- 19:11Speaker 1: and they're just sitting there, and my husband was like,
- 19:13Speaker 1: did she just steal those without paying? And he points
- 19:16Speaker 1: out like there is not really a place to pay,
- 19:18Speaker 1: Like they just don't. It just looks like a free
- 19:20Speaker 1: stand for papers, the local community paper that would be
- 19:25Speaker 1: in the trash the next day, it'd be in the recyclement.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Nobody's gonna remember. Nobody is gonna be like, hey, it's
- 19:32Speaker 1: a swimmer. I did think it was quite funny when
- 19:36Speaker 1: they were like, chant swim, swim. I thought that was funny.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I thought the line when she and Hayden go to
- 19:45Speaker 1: the Blueberry Cafe and she orders a muffin. He's like, oh,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'd have to call in my personal trainer for that one.
- 19:50Speaker 1: First of all, it's one muffin dipshiture. Second of all,
- 19:53Speaker 1: the waitress is like, oh, she'll just swim it off.
- 19:54Speaker 1: It just made me speaking of blueberries, yes, like you said,
- 20:00Speaker 1: what monster comes in and just is like, I'm gonna
- 20:03Speaker 1: have a bowl of blueberries. All I think about is
- 20:07Speaker 1: when my now teenage shoughter was a toddler. I remember
- 20:12Speaker 1: like a Facebook group for new moms and somebody said,
- 20:16Speaker 1: thanks for the tip. Blueberries equal GP. What could GP
- 20:21Speaker 1: stand for good poop? Like? So all I have envision
- 20:26Speaker 1: is all in eating these bowl of blueberries and then
- 20:29Speaker 1: those explosive berries. Oh. I don't find blueberries on their
- 20:37Speaker 1: own to be appetizing. I love blueberry muffin. I love
- 20:40Speaker 1: a blueberry pancake, but not a really Like if there's
- 20:43Speaker 1: a blueberry and my fruit salad, I'm picking around it.
- 20:46Speaker 1: They're not very flavor. My son loves blueberries, like, he
- 20:49Speaker 1: will eat blueberries for a snack. Really, He's always like, oh,
- 20:52Speaker 1: thanks for the blueberries, but don't think about my sixteen
- 20:59Speaker 1: year olds oo please poor kid. The other thing that
- 21:07Speaker 1: really got me is why is she in high heels
- 21:11Speaker 1: all the time? Oh, Mike pointed that out too. Yes,
- 21:14Speaker 1: she's like walking down this dock with all these steps,
- 21:19Speaker 1: trying to return this dude's jacket. I was like, they
- 21:21Speaker 1: didn't hring a single flat. Seriously, they're an extremely high
- 21:26Speaker 1: heel drive in a car with a high heel. This
- 21:30Speaker 1: was a road trip. No. I just was like, that's
- 21:32Speaker 1: so weird. Yeah, yeah, weird, weird. Okay, did you have anymore?
- 21:37Speaker 1: I thought I did, but I don't. Let's see, I'm
- 21:42Speaker 1: looking at Mike, see if he has anything else to say. Oh,
- 21:46Speaker 1: these people do not know anything about their grandmother slash mother.
- 21:51Speaker 1: They're like, what do you mean she used to live here?
- 21:53Speaker 1: What do you mean she used to paint? What do
- 21:54Speaker 1: you mean she had a life before your grandfather. It
- 21:57Speaker 1: just was so bizarre how little they knew about her
- 22:00Speaker 1: and how they were like this was her home. Also,
- 22:03Speaker 1: as Mike points out two questions, he did not point
- 22:08Speaker 1: this out. When she falls in the water she cuts
- 22:10Speaker 1: her head on what the camera? That's what I wondered.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Right then she goes to her grandmother's old home. This
- 22:18Speaker 1: nice lady lets her go up to the attic where
- 22:20Speaker 1: there's a painting there that her grandmother has done. She
- 22:23Speaker 1: leaves that home, goes to a camera store to buy
- 22:26Speaker 1: another expensive camera, and goes back and takes photos of
- 22:29Speaker 1: it because Grandma's like, oh, your phone can't What what
- 22:33Speaker 1: happened to the other one? Did you try? And fick? No,
- 22:35Speaker 1: it was in the water somewhere. She came out with it.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You think it stayed in the water. No, I don't know.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You know that seems so weird to me because I
- 22:43Speaker 1: was like, now she has this like photography hobby, Like
- 22:46Speaker 1: that was never a thing, Like she had to get
- 22:48Speaker 1: the right angle of that statue falls right off the dog. Yeah.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Kind of weird. Yeah, sort of weird. I had this
- 22:58Speaker 1: thought to the other day. No, maybe this morning. I
- 23:02Speaker 1: was like, what if like the previous owner of my
- 23:04Speaker 1: home came and they're like, oh, I used to live here,
- 23:08Speaker 1: Can I come in? I would say no. I would
- 23:10Speaker 1: say no, also because I don't want you to murder
- 23:12Speaker 1: me in my home. If there was an another person
- 23:16Speaker 1: at home, like if my husband was there, I would
- 23:18Speaker 1: maybe say yes. I wouldn't really, you're not coming in
- 23:22Speaker 1: my home. You would say that. I'm sorry, I'm not
- 23:24Speaker 1: comfortable with that. Okay, Well, first of all, I'm the
- 23:26Speaker 1: original owner of this home. Okay, back off. But but
- 23:31Speaker 1: I have lived in other homes where we were not
- 23:33Speaker 1: the original owner. I understand. Have you ever driven by
- 23:35Speaker 1: a house as I used to live? Of course? Yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I mean I'm very curious, Like what would they do
- 23:41Speaker 1: to the garden? Would they do? I'm curious. I would
- 23:44Speaker 1: love to see that, but I don't. I don't know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I just wouldn't. Does this seem safe to just let
- 23:49Speaker 1: some stranger in your house? Right? Just wait till it
- 23:52Speaker 1: goes on the market and look at the zillas thing
- 23:53Speaker 1: exactly so we did with my parents' old house, Like,
- 23:56Speaker 1: oh look they updated the kitchen. Okay, what did you this?
- 24:00Speaker 1: Three stars? Two and a half. Wow, it's a rough
- 24:03Speaker 1: week for me. Wow, the fans are gonna be pit
- 24:07Speaker 1: not you, Megan and Landy at gmail dot com, or
- 24:10Speaker 1: just come for me in the Facebook group. I can
- 24:12Speaker 1: take it, Okay, I really I really thought what is it?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Much like you, I wondered what is it that people
- 24:19Speaker 1: love about this movie? And I did not come to
- 24:21Speaker 1: the deep conclusion that you did. I just thought the
- 24:24Speaker 1: people have lost their minds. It's got to be deeper
- 24:28Speaker 1: than that. Look when they recommended Love on the air,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I thought, man, they really know what they're talking about.
- 24:35Speaker 1: That's a great movie. Hey, thanks for listening to this
- 24:38Speaker 1: episode of Girls Go one Hallmark. What else is coming
- 24:42Speaker 1: up this week? Tomorrow starts our recap slash review of
