- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Have you ever had a hard time describing yourself to somebody
- 0:34or describing what you do? I, so I, I did a, an exercise
- 0:38this past week with a client where she actually was helping
- 0:42me out and she had me do an interview with her and so that
- 0:47she could give me some descriptions of things.
- 0:49And I was blown away by the outcome of it, which led me to
- 0:54go into saying, OK, it's the end of the year.
- 0:57I want to clean things up. I want to tighten things up.
- 0:59I want to really get things nailed down.
- 1:01And I started, you know, redefining because we never
- 1:04really nailed down the YouTube channel stuff.
- 1:06It was that we were testing things.
- 1:08We were seeing how I enjoyed it, if I was going to keep doing it
- 1:11and what not. And so I was trying really hard
- 1:14to figure stuff out. And I sat there and I said, you
- 1:18know what, I need to get a really solid description for the
- 1:21channel because it's different. It's not how most people do
- 1:25things, hence the story of my life.
- 1:28And I, I sat there and I, I felt myself going back into this
- 1:33place that I used to have when I was in middle school, high
- 1:36school, when someone would say, you know, you know, describe
- 1:41something about yourself, describe about your work.
- 1:44And I would sit there and I would be like, well, doesn't it
- 1:46speak for itself? And I remember in high school,
- 1:49there was this art teacher and it's the reason I dropped out of
- 1:52art, which was stupid. You know, in retrospect, in, in
- 1:57like what you know, to be true, like you shouldn't quit.
- 1:59You shouldn't do all of that. But then there's a part of me
- 2:02that says, well, I'm glad I did it because it kept me to be my
- 2:04original self and I didn't adapt to what they were trying to show
- 2:08me. Now there is a happy medium
- 2:10somewhere in between, but I am very stubborn and I didn't want
- 2:13to follow what they were telling me.
- 2:16So I was like, no, this is this is my original stuff, but
- 2:19because I couldn't explain it, but because I couldn't own it, I
- 2:22struggled with that. And so I felt that same feeling
- 2:26coming up this week when I was trying to describe stuff and get
- 2:29stuff on, you know, the, the paper, get stuff typed into the
- 2:33computer. I, I mean, we were going through
- 2:35all of it. I had markers, I had paper, I
- 2:37had type, I was typing, I was using my ChatGPT to brainstorm
- 2:43with. I was doing all kinds of stuff
- 2:45and I was still in that place of going huh, And then I did this
- 2:49thing with my client and then I had more like oohs.
- 2:52So I went from huh to oh, and that was just like an
- 2:57interesting distinction. I was like, oh, the emotions are
- 3:00flowing, They're moving and they're not like, oh.
- 3:03So yes, it's a it it today is all about those emotional sounds
- 3:06like you can't even give words to them.
- 3:08It was like, you know how sometimes you just can't
- 3:11describe it, but you're like, I'm not quite there.
- 3:14So I felt like I was getting to the oh part, yes, that's right.
- 3:17And as she's like concurring with me right at my feet right
- 3:20now. And I I kind of got to this
- 3:23place where I was like, yeah, my world isn't going to fit into
- 3:27anything. I'm not going to fit in that
- 3:29box. I've never fit in that box.
- 3:32I've never been what other people expected or what was, you
- 3:36know, just common. I just have not fit in.
- 3:40And it used to really bother me and it used to make me feel out
- 3:43of place. And now I just don't care.
- 3:46So I'm like, why am I doing that again?
- 3:48Why am I trying to conform instead of being like, you know,
- 3:52looking for what, what's going to work, what's going to bring
- 3:54something here or there? And instead I have to work on
- 3:58being me. I have to work on doing that
- 4:01original piece, which is what I teach everybody that I coach.
- 4:04But at the same time, when you're in the midst of of doing
- 4:07it, you find yourself going in the trap.
- 4:11And the trap is insane, my friends, because you start
- 4:15really looking at stuff and going, oh, well, maybe this or
- 4:19maybe that, or I shouldn't do this or what is this person
- 4:21doing? That's the bigger part of the
- 4:23trap. What is this person doing?
- 4:25Constantly looking at other people's stuff and saying, well,
- 4:28that's what works because we're told often go see what works.
- 4:33And I believe this, go see what other people are doing and then
- 4:36follow their, their steps to the path of greatness.
- 4:39Well, that that is true. But even the master who teaches
- 4:43this, Tony Robbins himself, he was building the plane while he
- 4:46was flying it there. When you are back at the
- 4:49beginning, like I was back at the beginning with them, there
- 4:53was nobody putting on events like he was doing, not one
- 4:56person. Everybody who who came after
- 4:59copied him. So he was creating these events
- 5:03that were rock star events. They were, it was like going to
- 5:07a concert, but you were getting this, this stuff that was
- 5:11incomprehensible, immediate coaching on the spot, learning
- 5:14how to change your wiring, doing all of this in the moment.
- 5:18And nobody else was doing that. So he was building a plane while
- 5:22he was flying it. We knew it.
- 5:23It was it was crazy working at that time because you could
- 5:26expect anything from the back of the room.
- 5:29And all of a sudden it hit me like he even says follow the
- 5:33path of people who have already done the work and use it, but
- 5:38you have to go other steps further.
- 5:40You can't just follow their path.
- 5:42You have to go other steps further.
- 5:44You have to go to another level. You have to try doing other
- 5:47things because that's what pushes you to the next level.
- 5:51So with that all in mind, that's what I'm doing this weekend.
- 5:54I'm pushing myself and going to the other level seeing like, OK,
- 5:58so someone hasn't done this, but guess what I'm going to.
- 6:01So with that being said, I'm back at the pad and back at the
- 6:05computer and I hope you guys have a blessed day and remember
- 6:08your original. Find your original Ness and
- 6:12share that. All right, my friends, have a
- 6:14blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 6:16Bye.
