- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, Donald, how are you, my friend? I'm trying to
- 0:03Speaker 1: hydrate myself, buddy, I see your back on the very
- 0:06Speaker 1: respectable giant water jug train. I fell off a little bit.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I have to admit a New York City, I've gotten
- 0:11Speaker 1: very naughty with my water intake. Have you gotten naughty
- 0:14Speaker 1: with your workouting? No? And I'm certainly honest diligent in
- 0:18Speaker 1: Los Angeles where there's almost nothing to do except go
- 0:24Speaker 1: to work and exercise and go on a hike. But
- 0:28Speaker 1: here there's a lot more stimuli. But I have been
- 0:30Speaker 1: going three times a week, Donald, Phazon, how was your weekend?
- 0:33Speaker 1: My weekend was great. It was Rocco's birthday this weekend.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Oh yes, I saw the sweetest picture that Casey posted
- 0:39Speaker 1: of Wilder hugging him. Yes, she was, you know, whenever
- 0:44Speaker 1: there's a camera out. Oh, she just runs to the camera.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Was very ready to to pose for it, especially when
- 0:53Speaker 1: it's with her brother on his birthday. She's very loving,
- 0:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean, towards him. It's such a
- 0:58Speaker 1: great picture. He had what you guys do for the birthday.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I saw there was some He loves basketball. That's his jam. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 1: he plays He plays soccer and basketball. That's his that's
- 1:08Speaker 1: his thing right now. And uh for his birthday, it
- 1:13Speaker 1: fell on the same day as his basketball class does.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So we hired a man to come in and teach
- 1:20Speaker 1: a group of his friends how to play basketball together
- 1:22Speaker 1: during pandemic. Yeah right, And it's the guy that taught
- 1:27Speaker 1: me how to play. Well, he didn't teach me how
- 1:28Speaker 1: to play basketball, but he taught me how to become
- 1:31Speaker 1: a better basketball player. And I was in the NBA
- 1:33Speaker 1: Entertainment League with a bunch of people that have been
- 1:35Speaker 1: on the show actually, like Tom Kavanaugh and uh anyway
- 1:39Speaker 1: and Bill Lawrence. Anyway. I averaged like six points a
- 1:42Speaker 1: game in the league. And then I went to this
- 1:43Speaker 1: guy and trained with him for summer, and at the
- 1:47Speaker 1: end of the summer, I was and at the end
- 1:51Speaker 1: of the year, by the end of the league, I
- 1:53Speaker 1: was MVP of the league. I got every guy league
- 1:56Speaker 1: and we went and we went to the finals and
- 1:58Speaker 1: the team was like me, James your uh Adam McKay
- 2:05Speaker 1: who never showed up by the way, Uh, well, he
- 2:09Speaker 1: was probably working on all of his scripts. And look
- 2:11Speaker 1: how that's turned out. For no doubt. Terry Crews, who
- 2:16Speaker 1: else was on a team A lot of good people.
- 2:18Speaker 1: We don't need a lot. Well, there was one really
- 2:20Speaker 1: famous person on the team and I'm forgetting his name
- 2:22Speaker 1: because I because he had Will Farrell was on the team.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Uh yeah, And we went to the finals. And speaking
- 2:29Speaker 1: of Will Farrell, I have become friend. I have a
- 2:32Speaker 1: new sort of friend I'm excited about. I don't want
- 2:34Speaker 1: to get jealous. See this is the funk I'm talking about.
- 2:37Speaker 1: It's not Farrell. It's not going out way too much.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You're going out way too much, man, because you had
- 2:41Speaker 1: all these new friends, all of them. No. I was
- 2:43Speaker 1: at the beach and it's the it's a few times
- 2:45Speaker 1: I've hung out with Chad Smith, who's the drummer from
- 2:47Speaker 1: the Red Hot Chili Peppers that exactly like Will Farrell.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Have you ever seen him? Donald? They do look exactly
- 2:55Speaker 1: like they look exactly like well, they don't look exactly
- 2:57Speaker 1: like they do. Did you ever see the bit they
- 2:59Speaker 1: did on Jimmy Fall? Yeah? I did. It's pretty funny
- 3:01Speaker 1: by the way. They did it so well that I
- 3:03Speaker 1: was like, wait, can Will fucking really play? And and
- 3:06Speaker 1: it was it was it was it was quest Love
- 3:09Speaker 1: playing and Will was just um, you know, pantomiming right.
- 3:14Speaker 1: But if your listeners, if you've never seen this, go look.
- 3:16Speaker 1: It's so funny because Chad Smith, the drum from Chili Peppers,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and Will Farrell look a lot alike, I guess. Like
- 3:22Speaker 1: people say I looked like Dack Shephard, I guess. But anyway,
- 3:24Speaker 1: they look more like than me and Daks do. And
- 3:27Speaker 1: they did a funny bit on Jimmy Fallon where they
- 3:29Speaker 1: were gonna have a drum off and like you know,
- 3:31Speaker 1: Chad did some crazy beat and then it was Will's turn,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and Will did a pretty darn good job selling the
- 3:37Speaker 1: fakeness because it's actually quest level over at the side
- 3:40Speaker 1: playing and it was funny. Anyway. He's the sweetest, coolest,
- 3:44Speaker 1: most humble, awesome guy. I've hung out with him a
- 3:46Speaker 1: few times and I saw him. I was at the
- 3:48Speaker 1: beach this weekend and I saw him. That's great. So
- 3:50Speaker 1: we played basketball, um and you know, Rocco, I'm gonna
- 3:54Speaker 1: tell you something right now. He really does like the sport.
- 3:57Speaker 1: He likes it so much that we made like that
- 3:59Speaker 1: we crashed his birth his basketball class and I had
- 4:03Speaker 1: a and throw a party, like an impromptu party with
- 4:07Speaker 1: his friends. His his team brought them jerseys and everything,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and they got to play four on four scrimmage with
- 4:14Speaker 1: a referee and everything. So it was really funny. Yeah,
- 4:17Speaker 1: that's good. You're good dad. Hey, you know what, you know?
- 4:19Speaker 1: You know what? Well, you know what. I got a
- 4:21Speaker 1: great mom. Yeah, let's put it that way. I got
- 4:23Speaker 1: a great wife who's a great mom. Yeah, let's play
- 4:26Speaker 1: her song. You don't don't go get it. We're just
- 4:28Speaker 1: gonna play her song. She's not here, but we'll play
- 4:30Speaker 1: it anywhere. You just play this song here. It is Casey,
- 4:34Speaker 1: come down here, don't tell me what to do. And
- 4:44Speaker 1: that's what it is. What a bop, great song, What
- 4:48Speaker 1: a bop great song. I was sitting with Charlotte Lawrence
- 4:52Speaker 1: this weekend. Um, she looks like her mom. Dude, holee shit,
- 4:56Speaker 1: he cut her hair short. Yeah, she looks like her mom. Okay, anyway,
- 5:01Speaker 1: it was cute. She was writing the song and she was,
- 5:03Speaker 1: you know, sitting there strumming. And and then you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: as we all know, I'm a really good jingle writer.
- 5:09Speaker 1: We've learned that here, right, because I just wrote that
- 5:11Speaker 1: boss that you heard just now. So I was like,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I never really have all those singers, I know, I've
- 5:15Speaker 1: never really sat with someone and was like, oh, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: what if it was I but you know, like suggesting
- 5:21Speaker 1: a note and she was like, oh, that's good. And
- 5:23Speaker 1: then she started playing. I was like, oh shit, I'm
- 5:25Speaker 1: getting a co write on this song. And then she's like,
- 5:28Speaker 1: she's like, write a lyric. She was now, we need
- 5:30Speaker 1: a lyric for this section. And I'm like, well, can
- 5:32Speaker 1: it be a little bit funny because I know the
- 5:34Speaker 1: song is like a heartbreak story, but wouldn't be funny
- 5:36Speaker 1: if you then sang this. She goes, that's hilarious. Yes,
- 5:39Speaker 1: it could be funny. So then my lyric made it
- 5:41Speaker 1: in and I said, we're going to the Grammy's Girl.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I don't know, I'm gonna play triangle on stage. I
- 5:45Speaker 1: don't know what you already got trying to got out here.
- 5:49Speaker 1: He already got the Grammy, he already got. That's the
- 5:52Speaker 1: only one I got. That's the only one I got. Yeah. Wait,
- 5:55Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Charlotte Lawrence is in
- 5:57Speaker 1: New York too. Charlotte Lawrence is out at the beach,
- 6:01Speaker 1: yeah for for a couple of weeks with her with
- 6:03Speaker 1: her bow. This is bullshit. You guys are all hanging
- 6:06Speaker 1: out to come here. I can't. I have a wife
- 6:09Speaker 1: and kids. I can't abandon them. I can't just I
- 6:13Speaker 1: can't just jump up. I have responsibilities, responsibilities that I
- 6:17Speaker 1: must take care of. Zach Brown, adult child that should
- 6:20Speaker 1: be made to do way more than the adult. My
- 6:23Speaker 1: adult child is at her boyfriend's house, probably getting freaking
- 6:27Speaker 1: tossed all over the place by him right now. Oh yeah, wow, yes, yes, whoa, Yes,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I don't know what to do with that. I don't
- 6:35Speaker 1: know what to do with that either, but it's probably true.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You're not cutting it out because it's so cringe. I
- 6:41Speaker 1: want the audience to feel the level of cringe. It's
- 6:43Speaker 1: the worst. It's the worst fucking thing that Like every
- 6:46Speaker 1: time she's like, I'm going to my boyfriend's house for
- 6:48Speaker 1: the weekend, I'm like, oh, I'm gonna kill this guy.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I love him, but I want to kill him, all right, Well,
- 6:55Speaker 1: because I know what they're doing. I know what they're doing.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I want to subletted my apartment to a woman. And
- 7:00Speaker 1: when I came back, they were did I tell this
- 7:02Speaker 1: story abody? No? I think I may have. There were
- 7:05Speaker 1: handprints all over the wall around my bed, like there
- 7:10Speaker 1: was no I mean, like the wall back, and it
- 7:15Speaker 1: looked like, well a lot of sex had been had
- 7:19Speaker 1: in in my bed because there's so many hand positions
- 7:23Speaker 1: had been used to brace oneself along and around the bed.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Were a big hand to little hands. They were I
- 7:31Speaker 1: think they were female hands. Okay, you're anyway back to
- 7:36Speaker 1: my original point, right, I think that, And I'm sorry
- 7:39Speaker 1: to get into your business because you obviously have a
- 7:41Speaker 1: well oiled machine over there. But it's my personal view
- 7:45Speaker 1: that you're adult child since she lives with you. Absolutely not,
- 7:49Speaker 1: let me finish. There's no way that what you're saying
- 7:52Speaker 1: cannot happen. I don't give a shit if she's an adult,
- 7:55Speaker 1: she's never raised a kid. She does have young uhs
- 8:00Speaker 1: and stuff like that, but absolutely not. There's way to
- 8:03Speaker 1: handle a weekend of babysitting, is what you're saying. I'm
- 8:06Speaker 1: sure she could handle a weekend of babysitting, but I
- 8:08Speaker 1: don't know. I don't listen, man. If no, it has
- 8:11Speaker 1: to be all right, all right, there has to be
- 8:14Speaker 1: a better way. I love you, I love her. I
- 8:16Speaker 1: tried to help and you did not. Zach love you. Okay,
- 8:21Speaker 1: all right, should get into the show. It's a very,
- 8:23Speaker 1: very weird episode. I would love to get into this show. Okay,
- 8:28Speaker 1: do you want to start it? Or do you want
- 8:29Speaker 1: me to start it? Because you've been doing it a
- 8:31Speaker 1: lot lately. You've been going like you've been jumping in
- 8:33Speaker 1: front of me and just going five, six, seven, eight.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait, baby, baby, baby, I want to hear this.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I want to alternate. Do you want to alternate? We
- 8:46Speaker 1: could compromise. Let's let's alternate. Okay, let's get let's get down.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You want to you want to five, I'll say six, Okay, cool, No,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna start the tempo six about shore
- 9:01Speaker 1: we made about a bunch of domes and nurses said,
- 9:08Speaker 1: He's a story. Never so yeado around you? Here are
- 9:16Speaker 1: yadoo around you? Here, You're stoopy. You're so stoopy. You've
- 9:27Speaker 1: been in New York from a while. Listen to you.
- 9:29Speaker 1: You're so stoopy. Yeah, you hear that on the street
- 9:31Speaker 1: a lot. You're so stoopid. Welcome to New York. It's
- 9:39Speaker 1: been waiting for you. I love it here. It is
- 9:42Speaker 1: fun here. I gotta say yeah. In New York, concrete
- 9:48Speaker 1: jungles where dreams I'm made of, and Broadway is supposed
- 9:53Speaker 1: to open on September second. You gotta have a vaccination card? Mmm,
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna eat how the I used to have shirts
- 10:00Speaker 1: where you could like there was like a pocket, like
- 10:02Speaker 1: a seat through pocket on don't. I don't know what
- 10:04Speaker 1: that was for. We were seen that. But I'm gonna
- 10:05Speaker 1: put my vaccination in my little seat through like the
- 10:09Speaker 1: kids who fly when the when when they're when they're
- 10:11Speaker 1: young and they have pouch hanging around their neck. Yes,
- 10:14Speaker 1: that's what I'm gonna be doing. What do you think
- 10:16Speaker 1: is the most broadway Ish show ever? What do you
- 10:21Speaker 1: mean like spoof of Broadway? Like if you're gonna say
- 10:25Speaker 1: that's very Broadway, what show would you say? There's only
- 10:30Speaker 1: there's a few of them for me. But one chorus
- 10:33Speaker 1: line nailed nailed it, dude, nailed it. Nailed this line,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the reasoning and course line isn't like a isn't like
- 10:40Speaker 1: a traditional like Hello Dolly, old school musical. A chorus line.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I just say, because it's about Broadway, and it's and
- 10:47Speaker 1: it's it's got a lot of dance in it, and
- 10:50Speaker 1: it's about people auditioning that that's just also my father.
- 10:52Speaker 1: It was my father's favorite. He saw it was literally like,
- 10:54Speaker 1: not such a great show, dude. Yeah, no matter how
- 10:58Speaker 1: you do it, if you have the right amount of
- 11:00Speaker 1: dancers and the that are good, and the and the
- 11:05Speaker 1: lead cast is good. Oh, it's a series of amongst
- 11:10Speaker 1: the musical musical monologues too, right, it's a series of
- 11:13Speaker 1: like these stars get a chance to sing, to blow
- 11:17Speaker 1: you away with their voice and then dance. But they're
- 11:19Speaker 1: and they're and they're auditioning for the chorus. They're not
- 11:22Speaker 1: even auditioning for the leads. They're auditioning for the chorus.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Don't watch the movie though, because my father was so
- 11:27Speaker 1: upset by how bad that movie was. He couldn't get
- 11:29Speaker 1: over it. He didn't like Michael Douglas in the movie.
- 11:32Speaker 1: He loved Michael Douglas. The American President was one of
- 11:34Speaker 1: his favorite movies. He was a Michael Douglas fan. But
- 11:38Speaker 1: that show was so special to him. The movie got
- 11:40Speaker 1: him all riled up. All right, so listen, I of
- 11:44Speaker 1: course would not play a Mexican apple thief today. Okay, yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 1: but um but I JD, why is Jad participating in
- 11:54Speaker 1: their four players? JD got kink in the man. I
- 11:58Speaker 1: think I think he must have a little I think, Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 1: he got kind of like that guy we had on
- 12:02Speaker 1: the show, Lets his wife go bang his friend. Yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: he got a little kink in him because this isn't
- 12:07Speaker 1: the first time that he's done this. Why why is
- 12:10Speaker 1: he sitting in the room watching them role play? He
- 12:13Speaker 1: sticks around for it a lot. This isn't the first
- 12:16Speaker 1: time he did it with her last boyfriend too. But
- 12:18Speaker 1: for what reason does he possibly possibly want to watch
- 12:22Speaker 1: them hook up? He's weird. Yeah, he's got a little
- 12:26Speaker 1: kink in him. He might have a little of that
- 12:28Speaker 1: um cuckole? Is that what you said? It was cuckol?
- 12:31Speaker 1: He like he might they might wow. Yeah, I like
- 12:35Speaker 1: the feel bad for him though. I felt bad for him.
- 12:37Speaker 1: He's sitting there, he's gotten he's gotten no girlfriend. He's
- 12:41Speaker 1: sitting there watching his girlfriend hook up with a Kendall Travis. Yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 1: with his dynamite ariolas. Yeah, you think you're better than me,
- 12:52Speaker 1: Keith with your rock card abs and dynamite ariolas. This
- 12:59Speaker 1: is going to stick for the season. I have a
- 13:01Speaker 1: feeling you're gonna say it might be one of the
- 13:02Speaker 1: funniest lines I've ever improper. I just wanted the world
- 13:05Speaker 1: to know what made you say dynamite ariolas dynamite. I
- 13:11Speaker 1: just used be kept as a funny adjective that that
- 13:15Speaker 1: that JD used. I just thought that saying dynamite was
- 13:18Speaker 1: funny and I just decided it was as an adjective.
- 13:21Speaker 1: JD liked, he said it a lot. How would how
- 13:25Speaker 1: would j J from Good Times say that line? And
- 13:28Speaker 1: you're dynamite and you're and you're dynom ariolas right? Remember
- 13:40Speaker 1: that I can appearance. I mean, I'm not faulted him,
- 13:43Speaker 1: might get the hustle, but the appearance was one fee.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Saying dynamite was a lot more. That was way more. Yeah.
- 13:48Speaker 1: We were like, we can't afford dynamite, but will you
- 13:50Speaker 1: come on the show? Right? He can't on a couple
- 13:52Speaker 1: of times. Yeah, he was hilarious. Yeah, yeah, okay, okay,
- 13:57Speaker 1: So Michael, we should mention Michael Learned plays missus Wilke.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I've never heard of a woman with the name Michael
- 14:03Speaker 1: before I met Michael Learned. Um, but she's just a
- 14:06Speaker 1: wonderful actress. And Michael, that sounds like somebody else that
- 14:11Speaker 1: I know. Actually, are you sure about that? Yeah, Joel
- 14:14Speaker 1: can double check. I looked to I I know that
- 14:17Speaker 1: her name she was on. I think she was on
- 14:18Speaker 1: the Waltons. Was that the famous show she was on?
- 14:21Speaker 1: She was on a famous series. Yeah, you're right. It
- 14:24Speaker 1: is Michael Learned who was the other one. There's another
- 14:27Speaker 1: Michael Learned. I did. Uh, you're thinking of Michael Lerman,
- 14:30Speaker 1: who was my friend the first No, no, yeah, that's
- 14:33Speaker 1: what I'm thinking. And he first, he's all the big
- 14:35Speaker 1: Bond movies now and he's a bit big fancy first
- 14:37Speaker 1: assistant director. Right, Um, that's not him playing Missus Wilke.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I know two years young. Wow, Okay, and Mike was
- 14:45Speaker 1: on you know who I'm thinking of. I'm sorry, I'm
- 14:48Speaker 1: thinking of Michael Lerner, not Michael Learned. Sorry, Jowell. Will
- 14:52Speaker 1: you look up if Michael Learner was ever on Scrubs?
- 14:55Speaker 1: I know he's been so many amazing things. I will
- 14:59Speaker 1: he he's a very very funny character actor. Yeah, very
- 15:02Speaker 1: good dramatic actor too, very can be very stern. Yes,
- 15:06Speaker 1: we have the great and we have the great Dave
- 15:08Speaker 1: Fully of course as our guest star. A very abrasive character. Yes,
- 15:14Speaker 1: I hate passive aggressive people like that. Yeah, and he
- 15:18Speaker 1: kind of ticked me off, like I could understand why
- 15:20Speaker 1: Cox wanted to beat his ass. I hated him too.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I guess the idea in the writer's room was what
- 15:26Speaker 1: if a grief counselor was really abrasive and annoying. That
- 15:31Speaker 1: seems to have been the angle. But man, it's a
- 15:35Speaker 1: od episode. There's not a lot of plot, all right,
- 15:37Speaker 1: so well there's no The plot is that she's dying,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and also because Cabbage killed her. By the way, that's
- 15:42Speaker 1: never discussed. Cabbage is a murderer. Yeah, yes, well accidental murderer.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Yeah right, that's that. What's that? Accidental murderer? That not song?
- 15:51Speaker 1: Don't don't think how many people could be accidental or
- 15:54Speaker 1: murderers these days. I'm just trying to say that Cabbage
- 15:57Speaker 1: doesn't realize that he is the reason. All he did
- 16:01Speaker 1: was give her love. He touched her and gave her love.
- 16:04Speaker 1: But he didn't know he was carrying that virus, the
- 16:06Speaker 1: very virus that killed her. It couldn't be more apropos
- 16:08Speaker 1: for the world we're living in. But it Cabbage never knows.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm no, because he's gone. But he does come back,
- 16:16Speaker 1: doesn't He work in the coffee shop when that opens?
- 16:19Speaker 1: Maybe coffee probably, Yeah, he's really good at making coffee. Yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 1: but I wonder if anyone was like, hey, dude, I'm
- 16:25Speaker 1: glad you found a new job and you're not a
- 16:27Speaker 1: doctor anymore, But um, do you know that you killed
- 16:31Speaker 1: you motherfucker. I'm surprised Cox doesn't kick his ass for it.
- 16:35Speaker 1: But nobody knows, nobody knows, nobody knows, but nobody knows Zach.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Nobody knows Zach. The only the only we the audience know. Yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 1: So when, um, so there's stand we built, we put
- 16:46Speaker 1: a beach on the roof because we're very sweet and
- 16:49Speaker 1: we want to give her a moment at the beach.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I don't know who brought all that beat sand up
- 16:54Speaker 1: to the roof. That was a lot of work for somebody,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I mean, in real life and in the show. I'm
- 17:00Speaker 1: sorry for who had to carry up all that sand
- 17:02Speaker 1: to the roof. Probably maybe they maybe they craned it
- 17:08Speaker 1: up or something, because that's just okay. So first of all, okay,
- 17:12Speaker 1: two things that this whole episode has a lot of
- 17:18Speaker 1: If all of that sand would have fallen into Ted's office,
- 17:22Speaker 1: the sand to make that sand castle would have fallen
- 17:24Speaker 1: into Ted's office, he would have been dead from suffocate there.
- 17:27Speaker 1: He would have been buried alive like a tomb from
- 17:30Speaker 1: the Egyptians. It wouldn't have been. The sand is not
- 17:33Speaker 1: kept track of well, okay, because there's a certain amount
- 17:35Speaker 1: on the roof to make a small beach. Right now,
- 17:38Speaker 1: we're to understand that that all falls into Ted's office
- 17:41Speaker 1: and nearly kills him, and he's not able to answer
- 17:44Speaker 1: the radio DJ right, played by Mike Schwartz. By the way,
- 17:48Speaker 1: right Schwartz, hedn't recognized Mike's voice. No, it's Mike's voice, who,
- 17:53Speaker 1: as you guys know, plays the uh the delivery lonely
- 17:57Speaker 1: delivery man. What's his character's name? I forgot shit? Um?
- 18:01Speaker 1: Lloyd Lloyd, thank you? And he likes he likes speed metal. Um.
- 18:07Speaker 1: So then we see this is what joke we've mentioned
- 18:10Speaker 1: before that the most unrealistic thing that ever happens in
- 18:13Speaker 1: the in nine years of Scrubs is that the janitor
- 18:18Speaker 1: builds a livabool sand castle in the in the parking lot. Right,
- 18:22Speaker 1: forget the livabool sand castle. Let's just talk about how
- 18:25Speaker 1: Ted would have been buried alive like he was Toots
- 18:28Speaker 1: in Common or some shit like that, in his office.
- 18:31Speaker 1: If that would happen, that's the first one second one
- 18:34Speaker 1: in the car with the three tap technique. That way
- 18:38Speaker 1: too fast, I know, but that's bullshit, dude, that's way
- 18:41Speaker 1: too much soda. What is it as a beer or soda?
- 18:44Speaker 1: It's root beer. That's way too much root beer to
- 18:48Speaker 1: come out of the freaking It was like, it was like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: you come on, man, it was I love that gag.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And I remember shooting that gag and I remember thinking
- 18:57Speaker 1: we're going to ruin the inside of this beautiful old Porsche.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I assume they just got like something that barely moved
- 19:03Speaker 1: that we could just wreck. But still still I felt
- 19:06Speaker 1: bad for that little adorable car. The body is what
- 19:09Speaker 1: all you need. That gag was done great right. I
- 19:12Speaker 1: had a tube going up my sleeve to the that
- 19:15Speaker 1: went inside the can, and I just remember thinking on
- 19:20Speaker 1: the day, how fucking funny it was. And then I
- 19:22Speaker 1: turned to him and I go, um, the quickest one
- 19:25Speaker 1: house to take ELM. I can't even believe that Cox.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I mean, I know we're bonding quote unquote over our
- 19:36Speaker 1: love of missus Wilke, but and JD, that's that was funny.
- 19:41Speaker 1: When I'm like, darn scooters got out of my way,
- 19:43Speaker 1: sea bear like and I'm trying to try to act
- 19:46Speaker 1: like my scooter doesn't work. But then the idea that
- 19:49Speaker 1: he's so quickly like, I'll give you a ride home.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I guess he just wants to talk about missus Wilk
- 19:53Speaker 1: or something. Otherwise, why would he ever invite me in
- 19:56Speaker 1: his Well, when the show starts off, you know that
- 19:58Speaker 1: you're in for a sad episode. It sets the tone
- 20:01Speaker 1: right away, like you know for a fact, this isn't
- 20:03Speaker 1: going to be a lot of jokes. This is going
- 20:05Speaker 1: to be so long to a character that we've invested
- 20:08Speaker 1: in for like four or five episodes of the season
- 20:10Speaker 1: so far, you know what I mean. But I mean,
- 20:12Speaker 1: let's talk about the plot of this episode. She's dying, okay,
- 20:16Speaker 1: Ted needs leverage. Janitor de Janitor sort of serves as
- 20:20Speaker 1: Ted's lawyer and clearly knows more about law than Ted,
- 20:24Speaker 1: right right, And the c story is Elliott and her
- 20:28Speaker 1: booty call. Elliott doesn't realize that she's falling for Keith
- 20:33Speaker 1: right now, what is your storyline? Your storyline makes no
- 20:36Speaker 1: sense all of a sudden, You've got a Pimpkine. Why
- 20:38Speaker 1: even Pimpkine Because I'm just trying to be Billy Dee Williams.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I'm trying to help the boy out, Like, I don't
- 20:43Speaker 1: understand what you explained to me. What the hell Turk
- 20:44Speaker 1: was doing this episode? Turk, So, Carlo's trying to help
- 20:49Speaker 1: out Elliott, right, But Turk sees it as if I
- 20:54Speaker 1: can turn the tables, I can order booty calls whenever
- 20:58Speaker 1: I want them, right, So what he does is he
- 21:01Speaker 1: helps out Keith. So the call that's supposed to go
- 21:04Speaker 1: to Keith that night doesn't make it through. Why you
- 21:09Speaker 1: are you involved with that? I don't think I am,
- 21:11Speaker 1: But I am involved with keeping the keeping it going,
- 21:14Speaker 1: you know what I mean? So that Turk can because
- 21:16Speaker 1: once that happens, Turk realizes he could be like, Carla,
- 21:20Speaker 1: why don't you come into the room real quick? And
- 21:23Speaker 1: that's never gonna happen though your relationship, right, But of
- 21:26Speaker 1: course not. But he feels like, if if Elliot's in
- 21:28Speaker 1: this situation, Carla's got to be in this situation at
- 21:32Speaker 1: least find a way out of it. I missed this
- 21:34Speaker 1: whole thing, Joe, Well, what do you do you understand
- 21:36Speaker 1: this at all? All of a sudden, it doesn't make
- 21:38Speaker 1: any sense. I was like, I was like, maybe the
- 21:41Speaker 1: scene got cut out. Why does Donald have a pimpcne?
- 21:43Speaker 1: And I think someone was like, I Donald can do
- 21:46Speaker 1: a good Billy D. Let's throw it in there. No, well,
- 21:49Speaker 1: that's not Donald doing Billy D. That's Turt doing Billy D.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I don't do Billy D Williams at all. Man, I
- 21:53Speaker 1: love the man so much. I do a horrible Billy
- 21:56Speaker 1: D William Jackson uh impersonation. But that's Turk's Billy. I'm
- 22:02Speaker 1: not taking right. I think I play. I thought it
- 22:05Speaker 1: was pretty good. I just didn't understand it at all. Yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 1: so I watched Dave. Dude, do you like it? It's good,
- 22:10Speaker 1: it's you know, it's not Ted Lasso. Not it's Ted Lasso.
- 22:14Speaker 1: But it's good, you know. Next next, next is Atlanta.
- 22:17Speaker 1: That's the next one. But I watched Dave. I was wrong,
- 22:19Speaker 1: But you did? You are? You like you watch all
- 22:21Speaker 1: the days? I watched all the way up until after Korea.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Uh oh yeah, yeah, so the new season? Watch watch
- 22:32Speaker 1: all of the first season. He watched the episode You're right,
- 22:34Speaker 1: it is bizarre. It's like really weird, like it's uh
- 22:38Speaker 1: it's an episode with Benny Blanco where they're like basically
- 22:42Speaker 1: hooking up that was hilarious. I don't think you've seen
- 22:43Speaker 1: that one yet though, that's later in the season. Oh yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 1: you gotta. I if you watched No Other Ones, watch
- 22:48Speaker 1: episode three of season two, it's that's the next one, Chuck,
- 22:52Speaker 1: you watch on And actually, the other one that's great
- 22:54Speaker 1: is when he goes to Rick Rubin's house. That one
- 22:57Speaker 1: was really good. Okay, it's just interesting to watch his arm.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But I just thought, because it's about rap in the
- 23:01Speaker 1: rap world, I thought you'd like. The other thing that's
- 23:03Speaker 1: really cool about it, and you mentioned this because you
- 23:04Speaker 1: texted me, was is that this guy is a gentleman
- 23:07Speaker 1: who plays Gaeta. He's the best part of the show.
- 23:11Speaker 1: He's an incredible When you look at what his name is,
- 23:13Speaker 1: he it's well, I know, he's the real guy. He's
- 23:17Speaker 1: like Dave's real or a little Dickie's real friend and
- 23:20Speaker 1: his real like hype man. But it turns out he
- 23:23Speaker 1: puts him in the show. He's like an incredible actor,
- 23:25Speaker 1: like the guy should be nominated for awards. He's incredible. Yeah,
- 23:28Speaker 1: it's it's raw. It doesn't feel fake at all. You
- 23:31Speaker 1: know what I mean at all? But I mean that
- 23:33Speaker 1: episode dealing with his mental illness. Yeah, oh my god,
- 23:36Speaker 1: it was like you couldn't have there. There isn't another
- 23:38Speaker 1: actor that could have done. I mean, I don't know
- 23:40Speaker 1: if it's the gentleman's real story or what, but no,
- 23:43Speaker 1: but he he hits it is his real story. Yeah,
- 23:46Speaker 1: he's by Bowler and he hits the beach struggle. He
- 23:49Speaker 1: hits beach really well, man like, like you know, it's
- 23:52Speaker 1: it's very clear that he and I don't know if
- 23:54Speaker 1: he's not an actor and this is his first time
- 23:56Speaker 1: doing it, he's rookie of the year in my eyes
- 23:58Speaker 1: because that dude freaking plays that character very very very well,
- 24:02Speaker 1: even if he's playing himself. His name is Deviante a
- 24:06Speaker 1: ka Gada Ganter. Yeah he does. He's very good on
- 24:10Speaker 1: the Showman. If you don't watch Dave there just I
- 24:13Speaker 1: know they're all great actors, but I'm just amazed that
- 24:15Speaker 1: when I was watching that guy geta act and I'm like,
- 24:19Speaker 1: how have I never seen this actor before? He's fucking incredible.
- 24:22Speaker 1: He lights up the screen. He can do comedy is drama.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Brought me to tears. Then I read up like, no,
- 24:29Speaker 1: he's not an actor. He's really in Dave's you know group,
- 24:32Speaker 1: of posse whatever you call it, right, They're all good.
- 24:35Speaker 1: The girls are great too, Yeah, Asian girl, she's great. Yep,
- 24:40Speaker 1: Christine co all right, watch Dave, everybody all right? Cocoon
- 24:44Speaker 1: I JD tries to describe what death is like, and
- 24:48Speaker 1: um he describes. He describes the ending of Kakoon. Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 1: did you kon? We should probably see cocoon like cocoon?
- 24:58Speaker 1: When I was a kid? Are you kids see Kun?
- 25:00Speaker 1: The returning? So? I think I stopped at cocoon one?
- 25:05Speaker 1: Cocoon will return is just as good. Cocoon and cocoon one.
- 25:08Speaker 1: How many cocoons are there? Cocoon one and cocun two.
- 25:11Speaker 1: He's like saying, cocoon, cocoon. Steve Gutenberg, how does someone
- 25:16Speaker 1: go from being Steve Gutenberg? I mean, where is Steve Gutenberg?
- 25:20Speaker 1: How is his career should not be over? It makes sense?
- 25:23Speaker 1: This is what I don't understand. Steve Guttenberg at one
- 25:26Speaker 1: time was the biggest star, the biggest star every movie,
- 25:31Speaker 1: but he wasn't considered the biggest star. That was the thing.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Like Steve Gutenberg was the biggest star when he did
- 25:35Speaker 1: Three Men in a Little Lady or Three Men in
- 25:37Speaker 1: a Baby Tom Selk still trumped him, even though Steve
- 25:40Speaker 1: Gutenberg at the time was the hot you know Police
- 25:43Speaker 1: Academy dude and everything. Well, when we were kids, he
- 25:46Speaker 1: was a major star, probably because we loved comedy and
- 25:49Speaker 1: Police Academy one was just a masterpiece. So it was two, three,
- 25:52Speaker 1: four or five, six, seven, eight and nineteen and twenty.
- 25:58Speaker 1: How high did it really go? Like I remember like
- 26:00Speaker 1: seven had like jet skis? Do you know the story
- 26:02Speaker 1: of Police Academy? The story is that so a buddy
- 26:07Speaker 1: of mine, a buddy of mine, directed it. He directed,
- 26:11Speaker 1: He was number thirty five directed. He directed one, and
- 26:15Speaker 1: he was married to I think he might eve even
- 26:18Speaker 1: directed the Tom Hanks movie. We were talking about Bachelor Party. Anyway,
- 26:22Speaker 1: his name is Neil. He directed it and he it's
- 26:25Speaker 1: pretty much the story that I'm not completely a hundred
- 26:28Speaker 1: shouldn't sure of this, but it's the story that Eddie
- 26:31Speaker 1: Murphy and um Steve Martin did where they make the
- 26:33Speaker 1: movie by sneaking it and everything like that. He would
- 26:36Speaker 1: sneak onto the Paramount lot at night until he got
- 26:38Speaker 1: busted making this movie or editing this movie one or
- 26:41Speaker 1: the other. But he was editing. It's pretty hard to
- 26:45Speaker 1: sneak onto the lot and make a movie. Right well
- 26:47Speaker 1: anyway he uh or he was taking props or something
- 26:50Speaker 1: like that for the movie. But he directed a lot
- 26:54Speaker 1: of episodes of Clueless. He was married to Amy Heckling. Um,
- 26:57Speaker 1: what's his name, Joelle? Are you looking up for us?
- 27:00Speaker 1: There are eight eight movies of Police Academy. No eight. Now,
- 27:06Speaker 1: if you're gonna, if you're listening and you don't know
- 27:07Speaker 1: where we're talking about, you only really need to watch
- 27:09Speaker 1: one because it was a masterpiece when we were kids.
- 27:13Speaker 1: One of the best movies. I don't think you could
- 27:16Speaker 1: get away with a lot of the things. The guy,
- 27:17Speaker 1: the actor who makes all the crazy sound effects, he
- 27:21Speaker 1: Michael Winslow. Yeah, he was just on America's Got Talent
- 27:24Speaker 1: or something like like, bringing it back doing his effects.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Who wills? Okay, I could be wrong. Neil Israel, that's
- 27:32Speaker 1: who it is, Okay, story by Neil Israel. He did
- 27:37Speaker 1: a good job. Yeah, he didn't direct it. He wrote it.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I thought he directed it. That's weird. Well, you're just
- 27:42Speaker 1: full of misinformation today, I am. So let's cut that
- 27:44Speaker 1: all out, do you remember? No? No, that was all fine. No,
- 27:47Speaker 1: don't cut that out down Um, I have a question. Um,
- 27:50Speaker 1: do you remember the Simpsons episode where Homer joins the
- 27:55Speaker 1: secret society of Stonemasons, right, and they have to sing
- 28:01Speaker 1: the song yep, And one of the lyrics is who
- 28:04Speaker 1: made Guttenberger star? We did? So they locked up. Well,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I don't know if it was really dissing Gutenberg. Is
- 28:15Speaker 1: it dissing Gutenberg? I don't think so. It isn't like
- 28:19Speaker 1: an honor to be on the No, they're doing that.
- 28:21Speaker 1: They controlled everything. I'm gonna name the movies that Gutenberg
- 28:25Speaker 1: was in, since you've sent me down this rabbit hole.
- 28:27Speaker 1: He was he waitait, why don't you do it? After
- 28:29Speaker 1: a quick break, we'll be right back. Nobody cares. After
- 28:32Speaker 1: the breaks act, we will listen. We will also keep
- 28:35Speaker 1: talking about scrubs. We will also read step you'll be
- 28:39Speaker 1: read by yes, and We're bad. Cocoon. Three men in
- 28:50Speaker 1: a police academy, three men in a baby, police Academy, two,
- 28:54Speaker 1: Police Academy, three, Police Academy four, It takes two cocoon.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Do you remember him in Short Circuit? Johnny five is
- 29:03Speaker 1: a lie? I don't remember Steve Gutenberg in the Short Circuit. Well,
- 29:06Speaker 1: he's in one. He's in one, not two. So then
- 29:09Speaker 1: he goes from short circuit to three men in a
- 29:11Speaker 1: Little Lady the Big Green. Sorry, wait, he was three
- 29:15Speaker 1: men in a baby. Then three three minute a baby
- 29:18Speaker 1: came after Police Academy one, so he was like hot
- 29:21Speaker 1: on fire. He went Police Academy one and then three
- 29:25Speaker 1: three minut in a baby. Then he did a bunch
- 29:27Speaker 1: of police academies in between that. Oh this is out
- 29:31Speaker 1: of order. I take this back. Damn man, this is bullshit.
- 29:34Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. Look, no, no, no, because look it
- 29:36Speaker 1: does matter, because I want you. I want you to
- 29:38Speaker 1: I want you to see the streak and why he
- 29:40Speaker 1: was a star. He went Police Academy, Cocoon, short circuit,
- 29:45Speaker 1: three men in a Baby, Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Like those were the movies. And then he was also
- 29:51Speaker 1: in He was also in Diner back in nineteen eighty two. Yes,
- 29:54Speaker 1: of course, and his career began with Diner, I believe. Yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 1: And then he returns in Cocoon. The return. You're not
- 30:01Speaker 1: saying it right, Cocoon Coon, Cocoon. All right, let's move
- 30:05Speaker 1: on from Steve Gutenberg. But ladies and gentlemen, see Diner,
- 30:09Speaker 1: see Police Academy one. You don't have to watch two
- 30:11Speaker 1: through eight. See Cocoon, Cocoon, See The Big Green too.
- 30:16Speaker 1: That's a great movie, The Big New It's a kids
- 30:20Speaker 1: movie about him coaching a team and all Alma Texas. Okay,
- 30:26Speaker 1: so Donald, you and Carla go to um uh camping
- 30:31Speaker 1: with your neighbors and you eat squirrel chili. Yeah. So
- 30:35Speaker 1: you know, as most married couples find when they are married,
- 30:41Speaker 1: you don't necessarily want to hang out with your single
- 30:43Speaker 1: friends anymore because they're single and you don't want to
- 30:46Speaker 1: hear about single life styles. Okay, well, so you hang out.
- 30:51Speaker 1: It made me feel very good because I'm I'm in
- 30:53Speaker 1: a relationship now, but for many years I hung out
- 30:55Speaker 1: with you and I was single. Yeah, but you know
- 30:59Speaker 1: we looked endured, me, you taller. Yeah, we understood the
- 31:03Speaker 1: situation and we made a pat between each other that
- 31:08Speaker 1: we were going to allow you into the relationship. Anyway.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Do you have couples that that Casey loves going out
- 31:14Speaker 1: with that you can't stand No, thank goodness, thank goodness.
- 31:20Speaker 1: We have. Sorry, sorry ahead, we have. But we do
- 31:25Speaker 1: have a bunch of friends that are like, we go
- 31:28Speaker 1: out as couples all the time. Like the dudes don't
- 31:31Speaker 1: hang out as dudes, right right, They only hang out
- 31:34Speaker 1: when they're together with the wives. Yeah. Now, um, Turk
- 31:39Speaker 1: tries to be a sport. It turns out these people
- 31:41Speaker 1: aren't really their neighbors. They live in the woods behind
- 31:45Speaker 1: their house. Yes, behind the apartment building that we live
- 31:48Speaker 1: in and which is very very very very dangerous, dude.
- 31:51Speaker 1: And Carla is pissed that you couldn't just suck it
- 31:54Speaker 1: up and eat some squirrel tail. Yes, because she wants
- 31:57Speaker 1: to have legitimate relationship conversations with other relationships. I don't
- 32:02Speaker 1: know why Carla was so down to eat the poorly
- 32:05Speaker 1: made squirrel chili. She didn't want to eat it either,
- 32:08Speaker 1: She said she wanted to go home. Also. No, but
- 32:10Speaker 1: later she says, and we could have hung out with
- 32:12Speaker 1: them again if you could have just eating that squirrel tail.
- 32:15Speaker 1: So listen, I want you to understand something. If I
- 32:18Speaker 1: eat it, if sorry, if Turk eats it, we're all good.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And Carla doesn't have to eat anything. So that's you
- 32:23Speaker 1: know what I mean. Like, it's not that she had
- 32:27Speaker 1: to eat it. She could eat very little. She could
- 32:29Speaker 1: pretend to eat it and be like, I'm watching you know,
- 32:31Speaker 1: I'm watching my weight turk has to eat that ship. Okay,
- 32:35Speaker 1: I got you. So we learned those in some backstory
- 32:38Speaker 1: that Kelso hates bicycles because his father left him on
- 32:43Speaker 1: a bicycle on his not only a bicycle, his bicycle, Yes,
- 32:48Speaker 1: his father. Kelso's father loaded up his son's bicycle and
- 32:55Speaker 1: with all of his suitcases. Yea, with all of his belongings.
- 32:59Speaker 1: He had a reason. I couldn't take the car because
- 33:01Speaker 1: it was in the family name and they be able
- 33:03Speaker 1: to track him down or something something like that, and
- 33:05Speaker 1: he wouldn't be able to leave them forever. Okay. And
- 33:08Speaker 1: then do you notice that he gives his son a handkerchief?
- 33:13Speaker 1: And did you notice the handkerchief is in the dashboard
- 33:15Speaker 1: of his car this many years later. I did not
- 33:18Speaker 1: notice that. You didn't notice that I noticed it. But
- 33:21Speaker 1: then scrubs Wicki mentions it it's a little Easter egg
- 33:23Speaker 1: for those of you that like Easter eggs. You got
- 33:27Speaker 1: that from Wiki man. I swear I always credit Trevor
- 33:30Speaker 1: and his wiki posse. I happen to notice that Wicki
- 33:35Speaker 1: did have a problem with the sand as we are,
- 33:36Speaker 1: because the amount of sand isn't matching up. Also, once
- 33:41Speaker 1: the sandcastle's taken down and the janitor is sitting on
- 33:43Speaker 1: a pile of it, and it saves Ted once he
- 33:46Speaker 1: loses in a game of Chicken to Kelso on his bicycle.
- 33:49Speaker 1: It's not nearly the amount of sand that would be
- 33:51Speaker 1: required to make that sandcastle. Okay, then both part like,
- 33:55Speaker 1: g that's fucked up about this sandcastle is Then at
- 33:58Speaker 1: the end of the episode, we're back on the roof
- 34:00Speaker 1: with the sand again. So did we did we lug
- 34:02Speaker 1: the sand back up? Maybe he didn't get all the
- 34:04Speaker 1: sand off the roof. So you're saying, no, I'm not saying.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I'm not saying. I'm not saying anything. I'm just I'm
- 34:11Speaker 1: just saying Ted was was almost drowned. There's nothing logical
- 34:16Speaker 1: about this at from the beginning. Then you can't follow
- 34:20Speaker 1: the logic. There's no way Bill Bill phone this one.
- 34:23Speaker 1: And I'm sorry. Although it was written by Tad Quill,
- 34:27Speaker 1: who's a very talented writer and I love him, but
- 34:29Speaker 1: this one's got some gaps in it. This is not
- 34:35Speaker 1: This one is not living up to my season five standards.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Oh you didn't like this one? It's okay? What about
- 34:42Speaker 1: when I duct tape prosthetic arms? Yeah, that's my body.
- 34:47Speaker 1: You borrowed prosthetic I borrowed. So I went to a
- 34:50Speaker 1: patient and say, hey, I have to beat my my
- 34:53Speaker 1: colleague in a contest. Can I borrow your prosthetic arms?
- 34:57Speaker 1: And he's like, sure, yeah, but they're not even prosthetic arms,
- 35:02Speaker 1: by the way, they're like manicu with like stuffed animals sleeves.
- 35:08Speaker 1: How would anyone use those as prosthetic arms? What about? What?
- 35:12Speaker 1: What about? What about? When I go Cox, I go,
- 35:14Speaker 1: you should punch him. He goes, I'm gonna punch him,
- 35:16Speaker 1: and I and I take the mannequin hand. I'm like,
- 35:18Speaker 1: I bet his face is sauce. It's so random. What
- 35:26Speaker 1: about the Dorian and Cox clinic in Tallahassee? Is that
- 35:30Speaker 1: where I want to do it? Or was it Jacksonville? Jacksonville?
- 35:33Speaker 1: I don't know why. On my fantasy for our our
- 35:36Speaker 1: our partnership is in Florida. I could have been a spinoff.
- 35:40Speaker 1: That could have been a spine. No, Johnny and I
- 35:42Speaker 1: fucked up. You should have had I spin off. That
- 35:44Speaker 1: would have been our version of Joey. Anyway, Right before
- 35:49Speaker 1: Kelso runs over ted, he screams, why do you leave me? Daddy?
- 35:55Speaker 1: And then the Janitor goes, now, we got leverage. Yeah
- 35:59Speaker 1: and in Ted okay dog anyway? Man like that's the like,
- 36:03Speaker 1: But I feel bad for Ted. Janitor tries to negotiate
- 36:08Speaker 1: for him. Yeah, Ted doesn't know anything about being a lawyer.
- 36:11Speaker 1: He does explaining to him what what leverages. The most
- 36:14Speaker 1: fucked up part of the whole thing is when Kelso
- 36:17Speaker 1: comes into the office and he's like, now that it's
- 36:19Speaker 1: just you and me, let's have a conversation. No, he goes, No,
- 36:21Speaker 1: it's worse. He goes, now, no lawyers, no lawyers. First
- 36:27Speaker 1: of all, Ted must really like the w NBA because
- 36:30Speaker 1: he first bribes them with a w NBA All Stars tickets.
- 36:34Speaker 1: He's like, yes, yeah, right away. We also learned that
- 36:40Speaker 1: Ted works week weekends for for Kelso because all he
- 36:46Speaker 1: ever gets in the end is seven weekends off out
- 36:50Speaker 1: of the year, seventh Sundays off out of the year.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I think it's seven Sunday afternoons off, that is correct.
- 37:00Speaker 1: And he gets a random bust of himself with removable hairpiece. Yes,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and to w NBA All Star tickets. Um. I don't
- 37:09Speaker 1: know why Kelso chose as the gifts to have a
- 37:14Speaker 1: bust made of Ted he knows Ted, He knows that
- 37:18Speaker 1: he could give Ted anything, and Ted's going to be
- 37:21Speaker 1: appreciative because he gives him nothing. Ever, maybe he thought
- 37:24Speaker 1: that Ted was just so insecure in such a basket
- 37:28Speaker 1: case that only only like great men quote unquote have
- 37:32Speaker 1: a have a stone bust of themselves, and maybe he
- 37:34Speaker 1: thought that that would just tickle his ego in the
- 37:36Speaker 1: right place. And then the stone hairpiece. That's the crazy
- 37:41Speaker 1: he got a stone to pay. I just don't understand
- 37:44Speaker 1: the writer's room this week when they were like, Okay,
- 37:47Speaker 1: what are going to be Kelso's offerings? He should get him,
- 37:51Speaker 1: he should he should get him a bust of himself
- 37:54Speaker 1: with a with a removable, removable stone hairpiece. Right, that's
- 37:58Speaker 1: the capita. That's what star. That's like that It opens
- 38:01Speaker 1: up negotiations, right, Yes, Ted's very ted is Ted likes
- 38:05Speaker 1: it at first, but then he really likes it. Yeah.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Um so, okay, we do we JD and Cox are
- 38:15Speaker 1: going through the five stages of grief alongside Wells. We don't.
- 38:20Speaker 1: She's already, she's already at this she's she's made her peace. Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 1: It's a very it's you know, it's a very emotional episode.
- 38:28Speaker 1: At the end of it. I really wanted Casey to
- 38:31Speaker 1: be watching it with me because she was so invested
- 38:33Speaker 1: in the episode that came right before this. You know,
- 38:37Speaker 1: um and uh and you know, at the end of it,
- 38:42Speaker 1: it was it was sad. It's like it was exactly
- 38:45Speaker 1: what I expected. Like they warned me at the beginning
- 38:47Speaker 1: of the show, Bill and the Cat and the and
- 38:51Speaker 1: the writers warned us at the beginning of the show,
- 38:54Speaker 1: this is going to be a different episode. Yeah, we'll
- 38:56Speaker 1: have comedy in it, but at the end of this episode,
- 38:58Speaker 1: she's not going to be here anymore. We're letting you
- 39:00Speaker 1: know this now. Did you notice that in the cafeteria, Um,
- 39:05Speaker 1: you're you have the same brand of root beer on
- 39:07Speaker 1: your tray? Is the one JD used his three tap
- 39:10Speaker 1: method on. I did not. Again, that is not from Scrubs, Wicky.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I noticed it. Bullshit Easter eggs, baby, bullshit. You don't
- 39:19Speaker 1: pay attention to shit like that. I do, really, I
- 39:22Speaker 1: love I love it when I see little stuff like that.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Do you love it when you see a boom mic
- 39:25Speaker 1: drop in h No, I hate that. But you don't
- 39:29Speaker 1: see that anymore. Do you remember when you used to
- 39:31Speaker 1: see that all the time. You used to see it
- 39:32Speaker 1: all the time. Sometimes it has to do with like
- 39:34Speaker 1: how it's been reframed for television. Yeah, because sometimes you'll
- 39:38Speaker 1: see boom mic like ten times, and it's just because
- 39:40Speaker 1: like somehow when they transferred it, they did it too
- 39:43Speaker 1: wide and like in just a few inches matters, and
- 39:46Speaker 1: all of a sudden you see boom mics in every
- 39:48Speaker 1: fucking shot. Yeah, there weren't a lot of major events
- 39:52Speaker 1: in this episode. They love with Keith's Well, yeah, that's
- 39:55Speaker 1: the that's well, that's the end of the show. Other
- 39:58Speaker 1: than someone pass sing away. Elliott finds love at the
- 40:03Speaker 1: end of the show, and that's that's really cool. She
- 40:05Speaker 1: does a cute little lip bite. You know, I'm a
- 40:07Speaker 1: sucker for a lip bite. Everybody she does one of
- 40:09Speaker 1: these whenever they do the lip bite. Yeah, it's not
- 40:13Speaker 1: an Elysias Silverstone havesy like this, that's the best the
- 40:17Speaker 1: haves the Alysia silver Alicia mastered that, as we know.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Did you ever ask her to do that for you?
- 40:23Speaker 1: Like I should ask her the next time I see
- 40:26Speaker 1: will be like, can you just do the lip bite
- 40:27Speaker 1: one time? I don't know. But she really was the
- 40:32Speaker 1: master of it. But but Elliott gives a little a
- 40:35Speaker 1: variation on it in this episode, which I appreciated. I
- 40:38Speaker 1: love a lip bite, and it's very sweet when Fully
- 40:41Speaker 1: finally comes around and says something kind she was lucky
- 40:45Speaker 1: to have you to his doctors. But I feel like
- 40:47Speaker 1: it's condescending too though, man like, and I know it's not.
- 40:50Speaker 1: It's not meant to be. But his character throughout the
- 40:53Speaker 1: show is so kind of you know, he's that even
- 40:57Speaker 1: it doesn't feel earned, is my I mean, I don't.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I don't want to say it doesn't feel earned. That's
- 41:01Speaker 1: not what I'm saying. No, I guess I am saying
- 41:04Speaker 1: that it doesn't feel earned. Man, it feels like it
- 41:07Speaker 1: feels like there's a butt at the end of that
- 41:09Speaker 1: ship too. Even with you guys going with finally getting
- 41:14Speaker 1: to acceptance and realizing she's gonna that she's leaving, it
- 41:18Speaker 1: still feels like, because of how the characters played throughout
- 41:23Speaker 1: the episode, that he's not really sincere about it. I
- 41:28Speaker 1: didn't think that. I disagree. I thought he was a
- 41:31Speaker 1: dick and I didn't like him. I mean, I was
- 41:33Speaker 1: meant to not like him. He's supposed to be abrasive
- 41:35Speaker 1: and annoying. Um but at the end I thought he
- 41:40Speaker 1: was sincere when he said that. But that's why I think,
- 41:44Speaker 1: that's why I loved it so much. When the car
- 41:46Speaker 1: wax his bike and you know what I mean, but
- 41:49Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But you know, like it's
- 41:51Speaker 1: like even hasn't learned his lesson though he's still taking
- 41:54Speaker 1: people out on bicycle. Good good. There should be a
- 41:58Speaker 1: next episode where Dave Um has left right um, and
- 42:05Speaker 1: the show ends with a beautiful Pearl Jam song the
- 42:07Speaker 1: Long Road. Um. I love me some any Vetter, You're
- 42:12Speaker 1: a big Pearl champion. I love Pearl Jam and I
- 42:15Speaker 1: love Eddie Vetter. I just think he's his voice is
- 42:17Speaker 1: just very special to me. I think he's just a Yeah.
- 42:21Speaker 1: There were a lot of Pearl Jam albums that oh
- 42:25Speaker 1: I loved And your youth is that your youth? And
- 42:27Speaker 1: they got they got some more coming out? Is that
- 42:29Speaker 1: your college years? Pearl Jam? Definitely definitely college college years,
- 42:34Speaker 1: Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam. I do like, I like, you
- 42:38Speaker 1: know what I like nineteen seventy nine. Yeah, justing never
- 42:44Speaker 1: knew the rules. You could play it for you right now.
- 42:47Speaker 1: A lot of the freaks and goals. It's a love
- 42:54Speaker 1: chip like a stone. I love that song. Queen, don't
- 43:00Speaker 1: even Oh you didn't know? I have a snare. All right,
- 43:07Speaker 1: we got a guest, Joelle, we do. All right, We'll
- 43:10Speaker 1: be right back, please, gentlemen with a really fun yes,
- 43:19Speaker 1: and we're back all right. Joelle has curated a genius guest,
- 43:25Speaker 1: as she always does for us. Thank you, Joelle. Here's
- 43:27Speaker 1: a little theme song for our guests. We gotta college games. Allow,
- 43:33Speaker 1: we can talk star shows, you know, like a ballo
- 43:37Speaker 1: smoke some ja maybe talking about the episode. So come on, Joelle,
- 43:43Speaker 1: let's get the show. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up
- 43:48Speaker 1: board Taylor, Bi Taylor, Welcome, Hi, welcome to the program.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, this is so unreal. Sorry, I just
- 44:05Speaker 1: like me to take Is that a gamer headset you
- 44:08Speaker 1: got on? Are you a gamer? Gal? Um? My husband's
- 44:11Speaker 1: trying to make me become one. She's wearing a gamer headset.
- 44:14Speaker 1: What what games does your husband play? H all of them?
- 44:19Speaker 1: We have in our home about thirteen different gaming systems.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Show you're right up Daniel's alley. Yeah, I'm gonna tell
- 44:27Speaker 1: you something. Every one of the games, if you're gonna
- 44:30Speaker 1: play a game, if there's a game that you really
- 44:32Speaker 1: want to learn. Oh, this can be controversial. The Wild Yeah,
- 44:36Speaker 1: good choice, the Wild, Breath of the Wild, Wild, Breath
- 44:40Speaker 1: of the Wild. Um. I have played Kingdom Hearts Classic.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Good right, it's not the one I'm in um um
- 44:50Speaker 1: as Chicken Little probably Yes, yes, yes, yes, yeah, I'm
- 44:54Speaker 1: in that game. I'm in that game as Chicken Little, Taylor.
- 44:57Speaker 1: That's right, incredible. I don't think I've made it to
- 45:00Speaker 1: Chicken level yet. I don't. I don't know how to
- 45:02Speaker 1: play the game, but I just know the Chicken Little appears.
- 45:05Speaker 1: All right, go ahead, that's a PlayStation game where it's
- 45:07Speaker 1: a Nintendo game. Thought? Or what other games are you playing? Taylor?
- 45:12Speaker 1: Diablo three? Nice? Nice? Nice. I used to have a Necromancer,
- 45:20Speaker 1: but my husband had to reset everything when he got
- 45:22Speaker 1: the new Xbox, so I lost my Necromancer. Well you
- 45:24Speaker 1: got a new Xbox. You got a new Xbox. How
- 45:27Speaker 1: you got a new Xbox? I said, she's got every
- 45:29Speaker 1: game system all but the PS four or five. Excuse me,
- 45:33Speaker 1: nobody hasn't. Does anybody have a PS five? Joel and
- 45:36Speaker 1: Daniel have them. It's gonna say Joel and Daniels do
- 45:40Speaker 1: I think they talked? I'm sorry, hold on. They dragged
- 45:42Speaker 1: about it on holdad, come on, holda. How the fuck
- 45:55Speaker 1: did you get a PS five? Daniel? I hunted down
- 45:58Speaker 1: the internet like crazy. I was on the websites every
- 46:01Speaker 1: damn day, beating the box every month. How it sounds
- 46:05Speaker 1: like you're saying, hold or hold or hold the door,
- 46:10Speaker 1: hold the doors? Yes, yes, yes? How much did you
- 46:13Speaker 1: pay for your PS five? Retail? Retail? Both with second market?
- 46:19Speaker 1: Come on, all right, listen, Donald, I'm sure you could
- 46:22Speaker 1: get a fucking PS five if you want, you can
- 46:24Speaker 1: do it, not for retail, all right, all right, they're
- 46:28Speaker 1: really hard to get, especially out here, like they're almost
- 46:30Speaker 1: always well, where are you? Where are you? Taylor? Utah? Okay, Utah?
- 46:36Speaker 1: Are you in Salt Lake City, Utah? No, I'm more
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm a little bit more south. I'm in Provo, Provo, Uta.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Do you like? Where? Do you like where you live?
- 46:45Speaker 1: It's not that are you a snowboarder or skier? I'm neither.
- 46:50Speaker 1: I've been. You tell my whole life and I don't
- 46:52Speaker 1: do either. It feels like a hobby you might want
- 46:54Speaker 1: to pick up. Taylor. It's you're You're living in one
- 46:56Speaker 1: of the most beautiful skiing places. In North America. I know,
- 47:00Speaker 1: but sorry, I fall when standing, so I'm scared of
- 47:03Speaker 1: what happens. All right, Well, welcome to the show. Oh wait,
- 47:11Speaker 1: I have one more question about gaming and you can
- 47:12Speaker 1: all answer. Okay, because I think this is sometimes we
- 47:15Speaker 1: talk about gaming on this show, and I'm just thinking
- 47:17Speaker 1: of the audience. They some of them might go, oh,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I don't game, I'm bored. So if someone were to
- 47:23Speaker 1: be to look for a great game to be their first, like, okay,
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'm going to explore the world of gaming. So not
- 47:30Speaker 1: something that's so incredibly hard and all these other people
- 47:33Speaker 1: are gonna yell at me and call me a nube,
- 47:35Speaker 1: but something that I would really get into and be like, oh,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I can play this at a beginner level. It's beautiful,
- 47:41Speaker 1: this is cool. I might like being a gamer. Zach.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna get you a switch man, because I really
- 47:47Speaker 1: think you should play Breath of the Wild. I'm telling
- 47:50Speaker 1: you right now, dude, this game was made for someone
- 47:56Speaker 1: like you who's not necessarily into gaming but is like
- 48:00Speaker 1: curious about, well, what is everybody kind of playing right now?
- 48:03Speaker 1: It's in the format of like what Call of Duty
- 48:06Speaker 1: looks like kind of but it's only on switch. It's
- 48:09Speaker 1: only on switch. It's kind of like it's over it's
- 48:11Speaker 1: not over the shoulder, but it's like a third person
- 48:14Speaker 1: shooter pretty much. But it's an open world. I don't
- 48:17Speaker 1: want to harm anyone. No, well, you you fight goblins
- 48:20Speaker 1: and I'll hurts and then and then and then not
- 48:25Speaker 1: only those poor goblins and their families, what about their
- 48:28Speaker 1: goblin families? But not only that. It has puzzles, like
- 48:32Speaker 1: so many puzzles, brilliant like similar like three D type
- 48:37Speaker 1: Tetris type things like everything is a riddle, Everything is
- 48:42Speaker 1: his stream. That was one of I'm sure that was
- 48:45Speaker 1: one of the things that they want. Well there's a game. Well,
- 48:47Speaker 1: I'm saying this is for beginners because then you can
- 48:49Speaker 1: get major level with it and get like Red Dead
- 48:51Speaker 1: Redemption or Grand Theft art like suggestion. So Daniel's suggestion
- 48:57Speaker 1: is Red Dead Redemption too, Joel uh listen. It depends
- 49:01Speaker 1: on what type of gamer you are. I think Donald's
- 49:03Speaker 1: got you pegged, But if you're just chilling at home,
- 49:07Speaker 1: I stick with a switch because Nintendo games are very
- 49:09Speaker 1: like easer friendly, very old school, but like got into
- 49:13Speaker 1: the new like systems formatting them games. So It's a
- 49:16Speaker 1: nice blend of old school and new school. I like
- 49:19Speaker 1: Animal Crossings. It's the game I recommended from a lot
- 49:21Speaker 1: of people. Love that game. Yes, build a little island
- 49:24Speaker 1: and you're never like the Slim. Yes, it's like baby
- 49:29Speaker 1: Sims with little animals. It's cute and fun, okay, And
- 49:32Speaker 1: I don't have to kill anyone. No, And if your
- 49:34Speaker 1: friends are playing, you can go visit their islands and
- 49:37Speaker 1: bring them. Oh, Donald, can I come over to your island?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Absolutely not? Wow, is my animal allowed to mount Donald's animal?
- 49:46Speaker 1: There is no mounting of any kind? None, if you
- 49:53Speaker 1: if you listen, if that is there are sex patch
- 49:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something right now. This would make this
- 49:58Speaker 1: would make good video games if you could be like, Yo,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna come visit you, we gonna fuck and then
- 50:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave all in the video game. I'm telling
- 50:06Speaker 1: you a video gaming is that? Do you ever play
- 50:10Speaker 1: Leader Suit? Larry in the Lamb of course, In the
- 50:12Speaker 1: Land of the Lounge Lizards best video game ever made.
- 50:15Speaker 1: When I was a kids one the first one I
- 50:17Speaker 1: couldn't believe Larry goes on the Cruise too was dope
- 50:20Speaker 1: that those are Sierra Games Day but some you can play.
- 50:27Speaker 1: You could play Legia, you could play Lesia suit Larry
- 50:29Speaker 1: on your iPhone. It exists, really yeah, the first players,
- 50:35Speaker 1: it's kind of it's kind of like the first one.
- 50:37Speaker 1: But it's all right. Let's come on, let's focus on Taylor. Taylor,
- 50:40Speaker 1: do you have a question for us? I do um
- 50:43Speaker 1: it's a Star Wars question. Oh. By the way, Taylor's
- 50:48Speaker 1: wearing a beautiful blue Fake Doctor's Real Friends tank top,
- 50:52Speaker 1: with which you two could get if if you like
- 50:56Speaker 1: merch at cottonber dot com, you just slick up Fake
- 50:59Speaker 1: Doctor as Real Friends. We have all sorts of gear.
- 51:01Speaker 1: There's everything you can think of. Sorry, good ahead, Taylor,
- 51:04Speaker 1: All good. It's super comp By the way, appreciate the endorsement.
- 51:10Speaker 1: I know there's been a lot of like Star Wars origins,
- 51:12Speaker 1: like we've seen Um solo, we had Um I guess
- 51:17Speaker 1: Luke in a sense and you know Ray all those
- 51:21Speaker 1: What Star Wars origin do you guys want to see next? Wow?
- 51:25Speaker 1: Good question. You asked the right three people because they're
- 51:27Speaker 1: gonna all geek out now. Uh. I want to see
- 51:32Speaker 1: Yoda's origin would be great, but also maybe too much
- 51:38Speaker 1: like the great thing about Yoda is that he's a mystery, right,
- 51:40Speaker 1: so you don't want to learn too much. So how
- 51:41Speaker 1: do you know the group? How do you know the
- 51:43Speaker 1: grou Grogu is in Yoda because his name is Grogu
- 51:47Speaker 1: and maybe it's that it's okay, okay, sorry Timeline, to
- 51:54Speaker 1: be honest, until this moment, I thought Grogu was Yoda. Okay, no,
- 52:00Speaker 1: call him baby Yoda. That's acceptable, That's totally acceptable. But
- 52:03Speaker 1: I think Qui gon Jin as like right before he
- 52:06Speaker 1: becomes a giant master, so he's already so you're talking
- 52:10Speaker 1: on his apprentice. Oh well, we did see that kind
- 52:13Speaker 1: of a little bit, but like before he becomes a master.
- 52:17Speaker 1: So we're going like maybe never becomes a master. He's
- 52:20Speaker 1: a knight in the opening of Okay, okay, okay, but
- 52:23Speaker 1: like fifteen years before we get into Phantom Menace. So
- 52:26Speaker 1: he's got So he does he have does he have
- 52:28Speaker 1: Obi Wana? Does he have Douku? Is Duku still his master? Oh? Yeah,
- 52:33Speaker 1: Duke should definitely be his master because then you get
- 52:35Speaker 1: the cool switch for Douku, like seeing him do the
- 52:37Speaker 1: full flip would be really intriguing. I'm definitely about this. Yeah,
- 52:41Speaker 1: I think that's where I would go because you don't
- 52:42Speaker 1: want to go either that or you're going way back
- 52:44Speaker 1: to origins and that's too much time to explain on
- 52:46Speaker 1: this show. Uh So, yeah, I think that's where I
- 52:49Speaker 1: would go in Baby, all right, your turn, Donald, Who's
- 53:01Speaker 1: your origin story of choice? That's a tough one. Um,
- 53:04Speaker 1: We've seen We've seen all of the main characters origin stories.
- 53:09Speaker 1: You know, we've we've know We've know how Boba Fett's made,
- 53:12Speaker 1: we know how you know, we've seen it all. But
- 53:15Speaker 1: I don't know if it's an origin story. I know
- 53:17Speaker 1: how Darth Vader's made, but I'd like to see everything
- 53:20Speaker 1: that happened in between Episode four and Revenge of the Sith.
- 53:29Speaker 1: So a little tiny bit at the end of Clone
- 53:31Speaker 1: Wars gives you the TV series, right, Well, yeah, you
- 53:34Speaker 1: know that he's you know that he's hunting Jedi and
- 53:36Speaker 1: stuff like that, and you know that he does that
- 53:38Speaker 1: against the rebels, cast and everything like that. But I
- 53:42Speaker 1: would love to see, like we got a little bit
- 53:45Speaker 1: of it in in Rogue one, but I'd love to
- 53:49Speaker 1: see Vader in his prime. That would be grandell Um.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Mine's a little bit more abstract, but I want to
- 53:57Speaker 1: see the origin story for the program manage who built
- 54:00Speaker 1: the Death Star, the person who was ordering all the
- 54:03Speaker 1: little engineers around who were like, okay, so now you
- 54:05Speaker 1: have to go install the toilets. No, no, no. But
- 54:09Speaker 1: I don't mean I don't mean like rogue one style
- 54:11Speaker 1: of like seeing like the plans of the Death Star.
- 54:14Speaker 1: I mean like the person who was like, Okay, we
- 54:16Speaker 1: need thirty trillion tons of steel. What asteroid are we
- 54:20Speaker 1: gonna mind to get thirty trillion tons of steel? Okay,
- 54:23Speaker 1: we need this many copper pipes. It's the most boring
- 54:26Speaker 1: movie ever in the history exactly. It's it's not even comedy. Remember,
- 54:34Speaker 1: and we were talking about Space Janitors. Yes, yes, space
- 54:40Speaker 1: spaces movie for the Death Star. That's what I want
- 54:42Speaker 1: to because effort, I will say this. There was a
- 54:45Speaker 1: show called Detours that George Lucas wrote on with my
- 54:50Speaker 1: buddy Seth Green and everybody over at Stupid Buddy Studios,
- 54:54Speaker 1: and it's never probably will never make the air. It
- 54:58Speaker 1: I mean, I hope it does one day, and I
- 55:00Speaker 1: hope everybody gets to see it. But it has a
- 55:02Speaker 1: lot to do with the behind the scenes of what
- 55:05Speaker 1: happens on the Death Star and how the Death Star
- 55:08Speaker 1: was made, and it follows some of the characters, some
- 55:10Speaker 1: characters that you've never a Star Trek show called Lower
- 55:14Speaker 1: Decks or that's not about is that it's a comedy.
- 55:19Speaker 1: It is a comedy. It's a cartoon comedy. Yes, and
- 55:21Speaker 1: it's about people that work like under like in in
- 55:24Speaker 1: the lower tiers of the ship. Yeah. That's a great premise. Yeah,
- 55:27Speaker 1: that's a great premise. Actually it's kind of like Space
- 55:29Speaker 1: Janitor exactly, like a right, what's the name of the
- 55:32Speaker 1: little rat pet? The job of the hut has silacious crumb? Yeah,
- 55:36Speaker 1: that's mine. I'd like to see his origin story. Why
- 55:39Speaker 1: did you? How did you become job as bitch? Well
- 55:43Speaker 1: that you know those Donalds, Well that's covered in Rebels episodes.
- 55:48Speaker 1: It's not but those creatures are also cooked and eaten
- 55:52Speaker 1: in the Mandalorian, so they're pets. They're not necessarily it's
- 55:56Speaker 1: like that's like asking how did you what's the origin
- 55:59Speaker 1: of my pet dog? I want to see? Okay, Taylor,
- 56:04Speaker 1: do you have an answer? Um? I think I'd have
- 56:07Speaker 1: to go with Yoda, just because there's so much we
- 56:09Speaker 1: don't know, like not so much that it gets completely ruined,
- 56:12Speaker 1: but enough for us to be like, so that's where
- 56:14Speaker 1: they come from or something like that. Right. It has
- 56:18Speaker 1: the fact that they're so secretive right now now we've
- 56:20Speaker 1: only seen three total in this whole galaxy really makes
- 56:25Speaker 1: it special. And I wouldn't want that. I wouldn't want
- 56:28Speaker 1: that to go away, you know what I mean? All Right,
- 56:29Speaker 1: good one, Taylor, You got everyone all riled up. What's
- 56:31Speaker 1: your next question? Well, my next question actually goes back
- 56:35Speaker 1: to gaming. Um, what was everybody's favorite game system and
- 56:38Speaker 1: the game that went with it? Oh? Wow, Wow, Saga
- 56:42Speaker 1: Genesisaga Genesis. When uh, the Nintendo GameCube came out and
- 56:47Speaker 1: Bond dropped, that changed everything changed, That changed everything. I
- 56:55Speaker 1: remember being I remember my friends would come over to
- 56:58Speaker 1: my house just to play the fucking video game and
- 57:00Speaker 1: we'd smoke weed and played a game before hours and
- 57:05Speaker 1: hours and hours and after that. Now you have Call
- 57:08Speaker 1: of Duty, you have all of these games that are
- 57:10Speaker 1: very similar to that. But in the beginning, there was
- 57:13Speaker 1: Double O seven And also people don't remember this Star Fox.
- 57:20Speaker 1: My husband is hearing with joy because games. Okay, all right,
- 57:25Speaker 1: what about you, Joel, I'm gonna say PlayStation two was
- 57:28Speaker 1: the first consolet I felt was like for me and
- 57:30Speaker 1: my parents let me put it in my room and
- 57:32Speaker 1: not in the living room, and it had a DVD player,
- 57:34Speaker 1: so like young cinophile Joel got to like really explore
- 57:38Speaker 1: moviesly of whatever my father wanted to watch, which was
- 57:40Speaker 1: like a very new and like wide open experience. And
- 57:43Speaker 1: then they had Final Fantasy ten, which was an action
- 57:45Speaker 1: game that involved magic but had a love story at
- 57:48Speaker 1: its core. Yes, I was done. It was perfect system,
- 57:52Speaker 1: it was perfect um Daniel PlayStation four and Rocket League.
- 57:56Speaker 1: That was the game that I was just like, this
- 57:58Speaker 1: game is so unique and different and it is perfect
- 58:01Speaker 1: for me, and I have not stopped playing it twenty
- 58:03Speaker 1: seven hundred hours later. All right, I am not much
- 58:06Speaker 1: of an adult gamer, as we've discussed, But as a kid,
- 58:08Speaker 1: I remember when the first of all, I had Clico Vision,
- 58:11Speaker 1: which was baller. That is the best. That was the best.
- 58:13Speaker 1: If you had Callico Vision when you were a kid, man,
- 58:16Speaker 1: you knew you could the games look just like the
- 58:18Speaker 1: fucking arcade. Man, yep, just like the arcade. Collico Vision
- 58:21Speaker 1: was baller to have. And then I remember when the
- 58:24Speaker 1: first NES came out. It came with a robot. Do
- 58:27Speaker 1: you remember this, nor if you've not, you can see
- 58:29Speaker 1: pictures of it. It came with like I think it
- 58:31Speaker 1: was their very first system and it came with like
- 58:34Speaker 1: this little tiny robot that was you were somehow it
- 58:36Speaker 1: was supposed to use with one of the games. Wow, yeah,
- 58:39Speaker 1: google image it. If you're rob Yeah, it'd be a
- 58:45Speaker 1: great thing to have on your shelf. Buy him on
- 58:47Speaker 1: eBay as a as a gaming Hey, good present for
- 58:50Speaker 1: your husband, Taylor, for get him. Find him a rob
- 58:53Speaker 1: on on the eBay because the first system came with
- 58:56Speaker 1: this thing and I didn't know what the hell he did.
- 58:58Speaker 1: But he was supposed to work, but he didn't, but
- 59:00Speaker 1: he looked cool. Um, there you go. What's what's your answer, Taylor?
- 59:05Speaker 1: Mine would have to be the original PlayStation a spiral game.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Always a part of my heart forever and always love it.
- 59:14Speaker 1: So we got him remastered on the PlayStation four and
- 59:17Speaker 1: it made me so happy. It's time for Provo Utah's
- 59:20Speaker 1: favorite segment. Donald's which segment is that you know what
- 59:23Speaker 1: it is? It's time too fix your lie, Taylor. You
- 59:35Speaker 1: seem like your life's going great. You're married, you're gaming,
- 59:38Speaker 1: you're live in Provo, Utah. But you don't like to
- 59:40Speaker 1: screaming everything seems great. You got a big smile. I
- 59:45Speaker 1: don't know how what possible help you could mean, but
- 59:47Speaker 1: we're here for you. Well, I need help with my
- 59:50Speaker 1: scrubs tattoo. I can't find a good original idea for
- 59:53Speaker 1: a scrubs tattoo. I got it already. Oh what is it? Yeah?
- 59:57Speaker 1: I got my deafinitely hollows. I got family one, but
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: I need to scrubs one. Wow, this is a very
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: good question. We've never been asked this, Donald, I got
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: a great one. Get the X ray No, no, no, no,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: well you mean you mean with the scrubs on it.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: She might not want like the word scrubs on. No,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: don't get scrubs on it. Just get the backwards x
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: ray on. No, I don't like that's so big though.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I don't think I got enough room. Put it on
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: your back, the whole back, just through your back. Let
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: me think. Yes, I'm very into Um wow, I've seen
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: people with the eagling. I've seen eagle tattoos of me
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: riding Donald and our fists are up like that. Um
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: oh sorry, yeah, like like that. But um, what are
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: other like? Seminal Joel help us out here? Um, what
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: are other like seminal moments. You could get the tiki.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: You could get the tiki and write no, no, no, no,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I've seen I've seen some the word. It's just like
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: it was like a heart and then it was just
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Carla and Turk, which I obviously loved. Is so cute,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: classic scrubs. The moment you could get two um like
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: hands with including the wrist and the brown wrist has
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: a bracelet on it that says JD and the white
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: wrist has a bracelet on it that says yes, that's
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: why I'm matching. Bracelet'sa turk and tod By youthful the
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: wrist of my life. You're the only one who's ever
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: been inside of me. Wait, Taylor, Taylor out, I just
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: took out. There's no need to clarify. Oh no, just
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: let him grow more. E March Day. It's like I
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: married my best friend, total man Louise. Let's go. My
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: favorite part of the Let's Go is that we just
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: point to the end of the bead. H let's go.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Let's let's go sing eighteen inches away. Yeah, let's sing.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Let's sing the rest of the song. Let's finish the
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: rest of the song eighteen inches to the right, let's go.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You can do a chocolate bar and a vanilla bear?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: You think? Also, quotes are great if that. Are you
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: looking for images or quotes? I'm good with either or Um.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I just kind of want something that nobody's really thought
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: of yet, because I've seen like the scrubs, you know,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and the eagle, and I've actually think I've seen a
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: couple chocolate and vanilla bears. Have you ever seen have
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: you ever seen frick on a stick with a brick? No?
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Someone photoshopped me riding an eagle. Um, and I think
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: if you've added Donald to it, it could be great.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Helps me the two of you. I can't have one
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: without the other. No, I know, but you know Taylor, Taylor,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: thank you, Taylor, thank you so much. Wait, what's the
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: name of that giant dog dog? Bird? And never ending story?
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Are you kill Falco? Okay? Falco or falkor falcor? Okay?
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: So picture like a foul core sized eagle and me
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and Donald are riding it? Never story? Yeah? No, you
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: can make it small, Taylor. I've never seen never ending story.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: What I've never seen never ending story? Are you gonna
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: be all upset of me? Now? No? Because it's you've
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: aged out, so it's not gonna it doesn't hold So
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Joel says, it doesn't hold up. I agree with it doesn't.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: It does that Ron Howard movie, fantasy movie, Live up.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: What's it called? Willow? Yes, Willow is still good? Okay,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Willow is still good? Daniel, do you agree? I don't
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: think I've actually seen Willow, but I agree. Never any
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: story doesn't hold up. Yeah, okay Willow for a minute, Yeah, Willow.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Joel gets very passionate when Willow is a great Willow
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: is a great? Uh. I mean, there was rumors that
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: they were going to do a television show for it.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I don't know if that's never gonna happen. But freaking
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: the movie. H L. Kilmer. I watched a great documentary one.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: You know a lot of people, a lot of people
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: when they come into the world, they have passions, and
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: VAL's was Val Kilmer's was cameras. So his whole life
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: he always had a video camera type things ever since
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: he was younger, so super eight cameras. So he has
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: a warehouse or something like that filled with all types
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: of footage from his life, like when he did a
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: play with him Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon, like the
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: three of them were in a play together on Broadway
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: like shit like that. Like it's it's like, this dude's
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: lived in an incredible life and all we've seen is
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: just some of his big hits and stuff like that.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: But he's you know, there's a reason why he's so
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: quirky and everything like that. Where everybody else was out
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: trying to have a good time, it seemed like this
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: dude was just solely focused on his craft, very much
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: like Sean Penn seemed solely focused on his craft, and
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: now he's lost his voice tot to throat cancer and
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: the documentaries about his whole journey. I'm definitely gonna watch
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: that my life. Yeah, it's very interesting, man, very interesting.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Um all right, Taylor, you're welcome. So many ideas. You
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: got some ideas. Like I'm gonna tell you something right now,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I got the perfect one for you. Okay, this is great.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Just face, get put my don't put my face on
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: your face, but put my face like near like on
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: your cheek, Like no, don't get get my face. Yeah,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: but any time anybody sees you, they'll be like, holy shit,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: look at your face. Listen anytime, any time, anytime I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: see someone with the face tattoo, I'm like, note to self,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: don't tattoo face. Kilani is the only one who got
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: it right. No, it's just no way. Hold on, Kilani's
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: just sexy. Hold on now, hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: hold on, hold on now. Kailani's just sexy. Sh ain't
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: get it right. At some point, somebody's gonna be like,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: what's that on your face? At some who's Kaylani? I'm sorry? Yeah,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: or like, don't. I don't think face tattoos are wise.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: But maybe I'm just old. I don't know. Yeah, I
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: don't like face tattoos either. It's like one in a
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: thousand to look anywhere near good. So I don't think
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: it's not worth the role of the dice. So Taylor
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: no face. But I think Taylor on your face, my face,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: my face, on your cheek. I don't think your husband.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I don't think your husband will like it. If your
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: husband will love it, your husband will kiss it. He'll
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: kiss that cheek more than he kisses the other cheek.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I bet you that if you if your husband, if
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: you came home, you're like, Han, I got a tattoo?
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Of Donald Fason on my face. I don't think he'd
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: like that. He'd love it. He would kiss that cheek
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: so much. How about just Donald, just Donald's cheek. Get
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Donald's cheek on your cheek, right, yes, don't you get Donald's.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: That's even better. You should take a picture of my
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: face and then have the tattoo artists match my beard
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and mustache perfectly and get that put on your face.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Were welcome, You're welcome, You're welcome. Please please tell her,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: let us know how that turns out. And uh, that's it.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Thanks for tuning in. Anybody want to say anything? Jowell,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Daniel Donald as always at right now, where we are,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: we're jumping up again. I don't know where we'll be
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: when this airs. I just want everybody to just, you know,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: be mindful of your neighbors and of your loved ones
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: and check on them. It seems like we're going backwards
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: but still moving forwards, and you know, just take care
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: of each other. That's what I wanted to say. That
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: at least right where we are, right now, that's how
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it feels. You're here, Call your mom, tell your love her,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: call your dad, be kind, be loving and um if
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: you are living in Provo, Utah. Maybe learn how to ski?
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: All right, bye, everybody, five six children. Stories about shore
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: we made about a bunch of docs and nurses and
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: the Canada who loved me. I said, here's the stories
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: natural should go. So gada around you, Here are gada
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: around you, Here are free while shows and no mm
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: hmmm
