Oxford is set to host two massive youth fishing tournaments in 2027 on Logan Martin Lake, drawing hundreds of young anglers and families. The Alabama Student Angler Bass Fishing Association’s annual event runs May 6–8, featuring over 225 high school teams in the senior division alone, while the BassTactix Alabama state championship (April 31–May 1) brings together kids from kindergarten through 12th grade in a nonprofit, Christian-based competition offering cash prizes and scholarships.
