- 2:29Sunny mornings send you. In local news, Dunkin'
- 2:35has recently launched a unique offering, a 48
- 2:38-ounce coffee bucket. Designed for those hectic
- 2:41mornings when getting out of bed feels like a
- 2:44challenge. These buckets, complete with a giant
- 2:47straw for sipping iced coffee, were exclusively
- 2:50available at select New England stores, but have
- 2:53already sold out. While priced starting at $8,
- 2:57the availability was shrouded in mystery, with
- 3:00some locations in Boston and Wilmington mentioned
- 3:02online, though many customers reported not finding
- 3:05them. According to the New York Times, this bucket
- 3:09holds enough coffee for 25 Dunkin' Munchkins,
- 3:12doubling the amount of a medium -iced Dunkin.
- 3:20Now on to sports. Cincinnati has filed a breach
- 3:25of contract lawsuit against former quarterback
- 3:27Brendan Soarsby, seeking a $1 million buyout
- 3:31for violating a multi -season revenue sharing
- 3:34agreement. Soarsby transferred to Texas Tech
- 3:37last month, despite having one season remaining
- 3:40on his agreement. The lawsuit states that Sorsby
- 3:43promised to pay $1 million if he transferred
- 3:47before the agreement's completion. Cincinnati
- 3:50reached out to Sorsby's representation, who stated
- 3:53he refuses to pay anything. Sorsby's agent claims
- 3:57the legal action is misguided and that the university's
- 4:01demands are unlawful under Ohio law. Texas Tech
- 4:05declined to comment on the suit. In local sports,
- 4:11The Celtics' four -game win streak was snapped
- 4:14by the Nuggets, who secured a 1 -of -3 to 84
- 4:17victory in Denver. Nikola Jokic led the way for
- 4:21the Nuggets with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and
- 4:24six assists. Jalen Brown was the top scorer for
- 4:28the Celtics, contributing 23 points and 11 rebounds.
- 4:33Boston struggled, shooting just 35 % from the
- 4:36field and only 28 % from three -point range.
- 4:40The C's will return home to TD Garden on Friday
- 4:44night to take on the Nets, looking to bounce
- 4:47back from this tough loss. In top news, the remote
- 4:53work dream isn't dead, but it is slipping away.
- 4:58Roles that allow you to work from home are four
- 5:00times harder to get than other jobs, according
- 5:03to one estimate. Landing a remote job in 2026
- 5:07is only slightly less competitive than cracking
- 5:10an NBA roster. The share of open jobs listed
- 5:14as remote has held steady between 8 % and 8 .6
- 5:19% for the past six months. Remote job opportunities
- 5:23are narrowing amid layoffs and slower hiring.
- 5:2740 % of applications submitted through LinkedIn
- 5:30are for remote roles. even though those jobs
- 5:33represent only 8 % to 9 % of listings. In business
- 5:39news, New York City's proposed 9 .5 % real estate
- 5:45tax hike is stirring a national debate. Home
- 5:49prices nationwide have increased 55 % over the
- 5:52past five years, creating anxiety about rising
- 5:56assessments and taxes. Mayor Zorin Mamdani suggests
- 6:00that if Albany does not raise taxes on millionaires,
- 6:04the city may need to raise property taxes instead.
- 6:07Property taxes, or real estate taxes, fund essential
- 6:11services like schools and local government. In
- 6:14fiscal year 2022, these taxes accounted for 27
- 6:19.4 % of total state and local tax collections.
- 6:23The stability of property tax revenue is crucial
- 6:27for local governments. In crypto movement, Bitcoin
- 6:31is up 5 % to about $69 ,000. Ethereum is up 9
- 6:38% to $2 ,000. And XRP is up 6 .5 % to $1 .46.
- 6:47Moving on to a more local vibe. In our community

- 7:28to tell them Sunny Morning sent you by. And now,
- 7:33back to the show. Let's talk science. New research
- 7:37involving 77 ,000 patients reveals the hard truth
- 7:41about GLP -1 medications. While the impact on
- 7:45weight loss is undeniable, results may only be
- 7:49temporary. When patients stop taking these drugs,
- 7:52much of the weight they lost returns, along with
- 7:55medical complications. Scott Isaacs, an endocrinologist,
- 7:59stated, the only way that they work is if you
- 8:02keep taking them. Research from the University
- 8:05of Oxford indicates that weight returns to pretreatment
- 8:08levels within about 1 .7 years after cessation.
- 8:13As patients experience these changes, many are
- 8:16questioning their long -term commitment to GLP
- 8:19-1. Costs and side effects are significant concerns,
- 8:24with annual out -of -pocket expenses reaching
- 8:26at least $4 ,200. And in entertainment news,
- 8:35in a reimagining of kind hearts and coronets,
- 8:38Glenn Powell stars in How to Make a Killing,
- 8:41a film that blends greed, desperation, and romance.
- 8:46Powell plays Beckett Redfellow. a clothing store
- 8:49clerk from Belleville, New Jersey, who plots
- 8:52to murder his seven wealthy cousins for their
- 8:54inheritance. The film features a cast including
- 8:57Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris, with a narrative
- 9:00that satirizes the financial landscape. Despite
- 9:04its dark theme, it invites the audience to identify
- 9:07with its murderous protagonist in a playful manner.
- 9:12Overall, it offers a humorous critique of contemporary
- 9:15greed culture. Well, alrighty folks, it's time
- 9:19for the quote of the day. And today, our quote
- 9:23comes from the American author and motivational
- 9:26speaker, Zig Ziglar. And he said, you don't have
- 9:31to be great to start, but you have to start to
- 9:34be great. And that's a wrap for this morning.
