- 0:00Speaker 1: Man if only I was wearing hot pants. Oh wait,
- 0:03Speaker 1: I am.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Tony Katz in ninety three WIBC, Good morning, good to
- 0:08Speaker 2: be with you. The Popcorn Moment brought to you by
- 0:10Speaker 2: Boer b oo h E R. Bower Remodeling dot com.
- 0:14Speaker 2: If it's inside your four walls, you call Boer and
- 0:17Speaker 2: they will disco right over. They will roller derby right over,
- 0:21Speaker 2: roller boogie. I don't know what they're gonna do, but
- 0:24Speaker 2: I'm telling you it's gonna be hot. And then they're
- 0:26Speaker 2: gonna make you a kitchen. That's unbelievable. Your space is outdated.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It needs to work for you and your family. You
- 0:33Speaker 2: need to improve the layout. You need to improve the function.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You need to improve the quality of your life, the
- 0:37Speaker 2: quality of your home, the value of your life.
- 0:40Speaker 1: That's what Booer does.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Helps you create value in your life by giving you
- 0:43Speaker 2: a kitchen, a bathroom, a basement that works for you
- 0:45Speaker 2: and your family. The basement is not a dumping ground,
- 0:48Speaker 2: and no, it should not smell musty, not at all.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Your basement should be a place where you're like, this
- 0:55Speaker 2: is fantastic, and the kids are hanging out, or the
- 0:58Speaker 2: adults are hanging out, or maybe we're all hanging out together.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Could you imagine actually hanging out with your family in
- 1:03Speaker 2: the basement. That can happen with Boer. Talk to Boer

- 1:25Speaker 1: The popcorn moment, Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It's the story you need to here to believe. Then
- 1:31Speaker 2: grab your popcorn because there is more. I uh had
- 1:36Speaker 2: it in the in the show sheet yesterday. If you
- 1:39Speaker 2: go over to Tony kats dot com, you'll find that
- 1:42Speaker 2: that the Trump administration is going to require all fifty states,
- 1:46Speaker 2: not fifty seven, fifty states to explain their plans to
- 1:49Speaker 2: revalidate some of their Medicaid providers. This is about anti
- 1:53Speaker 2: fraud efforts because the fraud is nuts. So it was
- 1:58Speaker 2: Politico at their healthcare summit, and doctor Oz is there.
- 2:01Speaker 2: He's the administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and I would argue actually doing a very very good
- 2:05Speaker 2: job in that you hear nothing of problems and you're
- 2:10Speaker 2: seeing movement, openness, and conversations about how we do this better,
- 2:15Speaker 2: how we can do that better. It's an example of
- 2:18Speaker 2: what we'd like them to do to prove that they're
- 2:20Speaker 2: serious about this. If you don't take it seriously, it
- 2:23Speaker 2: indicates to us then we might have to take the
- 2:24Speaker 2: audits that we're doing to the different states more aggressively.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Of course, we should be checking.
- 2:31Speaker 2: We should be asking what are we spending our money
- 2:33Speaker 2: on and doesn't make any sense?
- 2:34Speaker 1: Are we getting any value out of it?
- 2:35Speaker 2: Oh and by the way, the places where we are
- 2:37Speaker 2: spending our money are these.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Places legit places.
- 2:41Speaker 2: This brings us to maybe the craziest thing I've ever
- 2:43Speaker 2: heard said. This was a woman by the name of
- 2:48Speaker 2: Shila Clark. Now, I must say to you, I'm not
- 2:52Speaker 2: an expert on Sheila Clark. She is the president of
- 2:57Speaker 2: the California Hospice Association. It's not surprising that I wouldn't
- 3:02Speaker 2: be too familiar with Sheila Clark. And she is speaking
- 3:07Speaker 2: in front of I don't know if this is a
- 3:09Speaker 2: House panel or a Senate.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Panel, and she's discussing some of.
- 3:14Speaker 2: The madness going on in the world of hospices. I
- 3:19Speaker 2: swear to you this is not the Babylon Bee. It
- 3:23Speaker 2: could not make this up.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Are you ready? Here you go.
- 3:28Speaker 3: You'd be amazed at how many hospices. The door you
- 3:32Speaker 3: can walk up to in California and there is nobody there.
- 3:35Speaker 3: There is five months worth of mail that you can
- 3:39Speaker 3: see stacked up from CMS and nobody's there.
- 3:44Speaker 2: This is exactly what we learned from the CBS reporting.
- 3:48Speaker 2: This is exactly what we learned from the Nick Shirley
- 3:51Speaker 2: reporting from his videos.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And now they.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Want to go about creating legislation saying that you can't
- 3:56Speaker 2: actually be a reporter in California and going after Nick.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Surely these degenerates in California in their in.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Their assembly there.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So you walk up to these doors, there's nobody there,
- 4:12Speaker 2: nobody's getting the mail, nobody cares.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And then there's this and that pasta survey.
- 4:20Speaker 3: How did that happen? How do you put a hospice
- 4:22Speaker 3: in a burrito stand in California? How do you put
- 4:26Speaker 3: a hospice in a tire store in California? That all
- 4:30Speaker 3: had to be vetted through licensure and through certification and accreditation.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Now no matter how absolutely blotto, drunk or high I was,
- 4:45Speaker 2: I could never come up with hospice in a burrito stand.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And I got to tell you, I'm pretty upset with myself,
- 4:53Speaker 2: because that would have been a great bit. Oh burrito stands, hospice, Oh,
- 5:02Speaker 2: just nothing but share comedy. The brazenness by which these
- 5:09Speaker 2: people steal from you. That's the story here. And when
- 5:15Speaker 2: you hear that, remember that anybody who wants to stand
- 5:19Speaker 2: in the way, who opposes these audits, who opposes ending
- 5:26Speaker 2: this fraud, that's your enemy, because that's the enemy of decency.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Can't have a country run by people like that. Country
- 5:38Speaker 2: can't work if it's run by people who think that
- 5:40Speaker 2: the hospice should be working out of a burrito stand.
- 5:45Speaker 1: However, I do favor more burrito stands.
