- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for we're back to the basics and healthcare
- 0:01Speaker 1: with Bounced Life Chiropractic and welcome to Fall, doctor Harley.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yeah, happy Fall. It was on Monday, but.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It's we're officially into a whole new season, which it's weird.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It seems like we were spraying the other day and
- 0:14Speaker 1: then it was summer. And it just as I get older,
- 0:17Speaker 1: it goes so much quicker.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Right, time goes by really a lot faster. And I
- 0:21Speaker 2: like talking about, you know, the season changes and how
- 0:24Speaker 2: it can affect our health because we might not necessarily
- 0:26Speaker 2: think about it, but the weather change does affect how
- 0:29Speaker 2: we feel. And you might notice this when we have
- 0:32Speaker 2: a big cold front come in, you know, the barometric
- 0:34Speaker 2: pressure changes, you might feel more achy, joins her a
- 0:37Speaker 2: little bit more. You're like, why is that?
- 0:40Speaker 1: And I know some have it's called seasonal effective disorder,
- 0:43Speaker 1: and I thought it was kind of interesting that it
- 0:45Speaker 1: abbreviation is SAD and it makes you sad. And that's
- 0:48Speaker 1: one of those things that this time of year, it's
- 0:50Speaker 1: this is when that kind of stuff starts rolling in
- 0:52Speaker 1: between allergies and all of a sudden, it's you know,
- 0:55Speaker 1: dark when you wake up and it's going to soon
- 0:57Speaker 1: be dark when we, you know, get home from work.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Even it's just not my favorite. I like this time
- 1:02Speaker 1: of year for some things, but other things I don't like.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Yeah, And that sad actually is a lot large in
- 1:08Speaker 2: part due to we're just not outside as much, so
- 1:10Speaker 2: we aren't exposing our skin to you raised which develops
- 1:15Speaker 2: and creates vitamin D in our body. So it's actually
- 1:18Speaker 2: a vitamin D deficiency that we start to get. So
- 1:22Speaker 2: sometimes just supplementing that vitamin D can actually really make
- 1:25Speaker 2: a big difference, very nice.
- 1:27Speaker 1: A little more vitamin D. You get that in what
- 1:29Speaker 1: sunny D. Now that's probably not it.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Milk is fortified with it. But you can take a
- 1:34Speaker 2: supplement and if you are supplementing with vitamin D, make
- 1:37Speaker 2: sure it's D three with K two. Oh yeah, because
- 1:40Speaker 2: that K two helps, That's what I was going to say.
- 1:43Speaker 2: It helps make sure that the vitamin D when it
- 1:46Speaker 2: is produced and synthetized in your body, it also works
- 1:49Speaker 2: with calcium, and that K two make sure that that
- 1:52Speaker 2: calcium is going to your bones and not your arteries.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Very nice. So again this time of year, as we
- 1:58Speaker 1: kind of shift from one season to another, which we
- 2:00Speaker 1: just did Monday. There are probably some other health things
- 2:04Speaker 1: that we should be kind of taking a look at
- 2:06Speaker 1: as well, shouldn't we.
- 2:07Speaker 2: We've talked about allergies. You know, we kind of get
- 2:10Speaker 2: spring allergy season, and now we start getting into the
- 2:12Speaker 2: fallout allergy season, especially as farmers start harvesting more, we
- 2:16Speaker 2: start getting more of that hay fever kind of thing.
- 2:19Speaker 2: You know, we start doing winter prep, you know, finishing
- 2:23Speaker 2: up our gardening or raking leaves, so just different activities
- 2:28Speaker 2: that we're doing a little bit more that we're probably
- 2:30Speaker 2: wanting a lot. I didn't think this was gonna hurt
- 2:33Speaker 2: so much, you know, I gotta get all this done
- 2:34Speaker 2: before winter or our holidays are coming up. So it's
- 2:38Speaker 2: a busy time of the year for us. And that
- 2:40Speaker 2: busyness plus the physical activity can really, you know, cause
- 2:44Speaker 2: your body to be a little more run down. So
- 2:46Speaker 2: make sure that you're taking time for yourself, giving yourself
- 2:49Speaker 2: plenty of time to rest and relax and recover from
- 2:54Speaker 2: any of those strenuous exercises that you might be doing.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Very nice. Yeah, we're like a week away from October,
- 2:58Speaker 1: which again it doesn't seem right, but here it is.
- 3:01Speaker 1: If somebody listening is going. You know what, I'm already
- 3:03Speaker 1: dealing with some of this stuff and I don't want
- 3:04Speaker 1: to throw more stuff on top of that. I'd like
- 3:06Speaker 1: to get some help. How do they connect with you
