- 1:37You can watch it on twitch. We're also hanging out on
- 1:40TikTok, but you don't get the same experience as we have on
- 1:43YouTube. Sorry about that.
- 1:44We'll do better as Lee Stream Yard eventually connects with
- 1:51TikTok in a meaningful way. Everything is on fire, but we're
- 1:56still here talking about the rock in the middle.
- 1:58So I appreciate everybody for being here.
- 2:00I feel like a little, my lights are a little dimmer than usual
- 2:04today. I'm not sure why, but anywho,
- 2:07let's get on with the show. One of these is the right angle.
- 2:13Hey, how's that look? Look cool.
- 2:15Can't tell. I always think about art class
- 2:23and the rule of threes. So I think this is with the
- 2:28visual aid right next to me here.
- 2:30Hopefully that keeps it up for you.
- 2:32But yeah, I hope. How's everybody doing out there?
- 2:35How's everybody's week been so far?
- 2:38What's on your mind? I hope everybody's OK.
- 2:42I'm hanging in there. Judge Paradox is here.
- 2:46So yeah, good to see you all. Let's get on with the show.
- 2:49As always, we start with the announcements.
- 2:52Once again, you are ghostcoldman.com.
- 2:53Case is your first time watching this, which it might be.
- 2:57We are your 24/7 365 rock and metal news resource.
- 3:01We interview bands all over the world.
- 3:04Those are usually on our YouTube with little clips everywhere
- 3:06else on our socials. We cover metal festivals and
- 3:08rock concerts all the time all over the world and try to keep
- 3:13up with the news as well. Monkeys here, Volbeat rockers,
- 3:18Mac, what's up? What's up?
- 3:19Thank you judge for following. We will follow you back.
- 3:22Appreciate you. Eli is here.
- 3:23Rick is here with 3-4 freaking exclamation points.
- 3:28Broccoli bracco. Good to see everybody got some
- 3:32people hanging out on the tube of you have some people over on
- 3:35TikTok. And Graham, thank you so much
- 3:38for tuning in. So on with the announcements.
- 3:41Again, if you want to tip us, we appreciate you.
- 3:44We've already got some commenters here.
- 3:46I will hide the banners and bust in the comments.
- 3:48Who's here? Gabe is here.
- 3:51Gabe is here. The best.
- 3:52Oh, Gabe, you're the best. Thanks so much, pal.
- 3:54Liquid immortality, liquid death.
- 3:57That's right. I'm drinking a liquid death
- 3:59until I can't get these tall boys with the agave nectar any
- 4:02longer. And when that happens, I'll just
- 4:04stick to the plane. But I'm trying to hydrate more.
- 4:07I'm trying to hydrate more. So once again, here's our live
- 4:11stream menu. We will continue to answer your
- 4:13questions for free. If you want to give us some
- 4:15general support, you can tip us $3.
- 4:18If you want to buy us a coffee on coffee or something else, you
- 4:21can give us $6. We'll rate your song.
- 4:24We don't pay. We don't charge for reviews or
- 4:27interviews, but we will happily rate your song if you want to
- 4:30share that. Usually YouTube works the best
- 4:32for that. And of course, we, you know, we
- 4:38do music business consulting. I did a consulting call earlier
- 4:40today. It was really cool.
- 4:42I met with a very cool industry person to talk about their
- 4:45marketing plans and perhaps we will work together.
- 4:49We have some other stuff in the works that's really exciting.
- 4:51Can't talk about just yet. Hey, Oh, that's right, man.
- 4:55My favorite, my favorite Pink Floyd album.
- 4:58Pink Floyd is as much as my metal head as I'm well known to
- 5:01be. Pink Floyd is my favorite band
- 5:02ever and wish you were here as my favorite Pink Floyd record.
- 5:05The Machine, shaking hands, I love this thing.
- 5:09Thank you so much for checking that out, Gabe.
- 5:11I know you're also a big fan. Nova Fee now is here.
- 5:14Angelo's here. Chatterbox is here.
- 5:17I will put the pricing menu in the description for everybody
- 5:22else that is not on TikTok. And again, here's the links
- 5:26where you can give us a payment. We appreciate anything to keep
- 5:31the lights on here. We are not corporate backer
- 5:34sponsored. We've been doing this out of a
- 5:36labor of love. We do make some money, which
- 5:38you'll hear about in a little while.
- 5:39But beyond that, it's all blood, sweat and tears, baby.
- 5:43Because we love music and we love people that make music.
- 5:50All right, moving right along. Here's our Cash App in case you
- 5:54want to pause on the screen and zoom in on it with your phone.
- 5:59Alex is here. Alex moving along.
- 6:05Celebrating a birthday this week was Chino Moreno.
- 6:08You know his work from Deftones, but also his group crosses the
- 6:11Super group Palms. He's been remixing stuff for the
- 6:15Cure lately. Chino is the man.
- 6:19It was probably a few birthdays this week that we missed, but we
- 6:22try to get them in every couple of days when possible.
- 6:24Rocker dad, 5150's back. Good to see you, friend.
- 6:27Russell Rant is here. What up?
- 6:29What up? Thanks so much for tuning into
- 6:31the show. Going to really big show.
- 6:34Somebody's watching on Twitch. Feel free to subscribe.
- 6:36We will subscribe back. Bean is here.
- 6:39Thanks, Rocker Dad for all those hearts.
- 6:41Appreciate you. It's good to see you again.
- 6:44We had a feature this week on the website.
- 6:47I just want to highlight this at the top of the show case.
- 6:49I lose some of you. My partner and co-owner of Ghost
- 6:53cultman.com, Omar Corey wrote this big feature of the top 20
- 6:59most metal movies and games and shows of all time.
- 7:04So obviously you got to have Wayne's World, Beavis and Butt
- 7:06Head, Airheads, Lords of Chaos, Metalocalypse, Death Clock,
- 7:12there's so many. You might learn some stuff you
- 7:15had never heard before. You might see some of your old
- 7:17favorites, but check them out, explore the story.
- 7:20It's a big feature. It's going to take a little bit
- 7:22to read, but I think it's a lot of fun and there's some cool
- 7:25videos and other links to other cool things in the post.
- 7:29So check that out on our site. Also, we did yet another
- 7:34premiere. We teamed up once again with
- 7:37Bray Rd. We brought you one of their new
- 7:39songs and new music videos at the end of last year and now
- 7:43they've shared a brand new one. Crossover thrash killer band.
- 7:47We are big fans. You definitely want to check out
- 7:50their lyric video and song on our site.
- 7:54And then some sad news, Mick Ralph's died this week from Bad
- 7:58Company and Mock the Hobo. Obviously not a metal band, but
- 8:03rock royalty, right? Bad Company just got inducted
- 8:06into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 8:07This is actually from their very last show ever, nine years ago,
- 8:12almost exactly. They played an arena in the UK
- 8:16was their farewell show. Nick was 71.
- 8:19And then a few days later he suffered A debilitating stroke
- 8:22that kept him bedridden until he passed away this week.
- 8:25Horrible, horrible news. Very sad that he didn't get to
- 8:29live to see the band get inducted into the Hall, but at
- 8:32least he was made aware that they got in and, you know,
- 8:37super, super sad. We're losing everybody. 81 is
- 8:41certainly a full life and he lived harder and and better than
- 8:45most, but still our oldest elder statesman rockers are leading
- 8:49us, which is, you know, very sad.
- 8:53It makes me sad. Thank you so much again, Gabe.
- 8:55I really appreciate that. So moving on.
- 9:03Also just a reminder again, a huge fan of my I'm a huge fan of
- 9:08and, and ghost cults. A friend to Amigo the devil,
- 9:11Danny Carano's Don't know if you know him, murder folk, dark
- 9:14folk, Americana artist, songs about serial murder and killing
- 9:18your wife and stuff like that. And he had a house fire and lost
- 9:21everything he owned, including instruments, unpublished songs,
- 9:25handwritten lyrics, art and things he collected his whole
- 9:28life. And they've raised a lot of
- 9:30money to replace his things. But money is not going to
- 9:33replace his things. So if you can, check out the Go
- 9:37Fund Me and throw him a couple of bucks or follow him on social
- 9:40media, share his music, buy something from him on Amp Wall
- 9:45Band Camp, his own store, some of his bands on his record
- 9:48label, Dead Alive Metal. What's up?
- 9:52We are losing legends. But luckily Danny escaped OK
- 9:56with his partner and these are pictures of the house fire.
- 9:59Danny's house. Really sad.
- 10:03Also also because sometimes things are sad and sometimes
- 10:05they make us happy. We are trying to get support for
- 10:09our favorite 4 legged friend in San Francisco, Django.
- 10:12Django is the most metal dog in San Francisco.
- 10:15Here's a picture of Django with Necro Butcher of Mayhem.
- 10:18They were on their way to kill Uranimus.
- 10:20Should have killed Varg instead. And there's a Change.org
- 10:23petition to get Django Django sainthood.
- 10:26Feel free to sign up for that. And there it is.
- 10:29Look at him. Look at how adorable he is.
- 10:31He's great. I'm going to be doing some pet
- 10:33sitting this weekend for one of my favorite cats, Jax.
- 10:36Super stoked. He might be watching.
- 10:40He's my favorite cat. Please don't kill me in my
- 10:43sleep. More features this week.
- 10:47We just ran this really great Q&A with this underground
- 10:50Norwegian artist. MO is probably not pronounced
- 10:53MO. It's probably like differently
- 10:56pronounced, but MO is this avant-garde sludge metal
- 11:02basically, for a lack of a better vernacular, but played
- 11:05with like string sex a string instruments, but heavy, heavy,
- 11:08heavy and our own rocker schedule.
- 11:11Seth, hopefully I said that correctly, interviewed them over
- 11:15e-mail, met them at a show in Tokyo and then was so captivated
- 11:19with them that they wanted to check them out further.
- 11:22So check out that. That's on the site last night as
- 11:25of today. Also, we had interviews this
- 11:27week on YouTube with Harry Armstrong.
- 11:30You know him best from his work is the bassist of Orange Goblin,
- 11:33but he also has a side band that's kind of Stoner doom
- 11:37called Noise Picker. You know, that Orange Goblin is
- 11:40calling it a day at the end of the year.
- 11:41They just they just finished doing download and how fast and
- 11:47they're on to more four days this summer.
- 11:50But that band is ending at the end of the year.
- 11:52So check out my interview with Harry Rocker.
- 11:55Dad asks. Are we going to watch the Aussie
- 11:56live stream? We are don't know yet if we can
- 11:59stream, watching the stream, but there will definitely be a lot
- 12:04of content around that, that Aussie performance.
- 12:10Gabe asks. I mean, you know, only Gabe, you
- 12:15know, like first of all, Gabe, you've been interviewed by us.
- 12:17We're going to review your next album if you want to just in in
- 12:21the in the light of an audience. And I'm happy to do that too.
- 12:24But you know, it's more for the masses of people.
- 12:28We get pitched constantly by people in all our DMS and
- 12:32inboxes with people asking to submit music.
- 12:35And the reality is we just don't have the time to get to
- 12:39everything. We don't even really have enough
- 12:40time to do all the other bands that are on major labels, NPR,
- 12:45like there's just not enough hours.
- 12:46And we review more albums than most other websites.
- 12:49By the way, we have reviewed about 1100 albums the last two
- 12:53years and that, and that's just the last two years.
- 12:56So sure, Gabe, yes. But like, you don't need to
- 13:00donate any money to us, even though I know you have and you
- 13:03know, we're in. We're friends.
- 13:05So I always talk to you, support you.
- 13:08Oops, open my notes. Also this week we ran our new
- 13:13interview. This is Larcenia Rowe, a very
- 13:16recent and new technical death metal band, and had a great
- 13:20interview with their guitar player and sort of master, Ryan
- 13:27Vale. And so if you love brutal
- 13:29technical death metal, Larcenia Rowe, it's a new album out now
- 13:33on Unique Leader Records that you want to check out.
- 13:36Rocker Dad 5150 asks what have I heard about a new Pantera album?
- 13:40I don't know that there will be a new Pantera album.
- 13:43I know they have talked about it.
- 13:44It's been discussed. I would prefer them not to make
- 13:48a new album called Pantera with the group.
- 13:51As it is, I am OK with a live album and I really what I really
- 13:56want. Especially now that you know
- 14:00Rita basically has controlling stake in the band because she
- 14:04had Vinnie and Dimes the states basically under her power.
- 14:09I want to get at like a full classic Pantera concert, like
- 14:14one O 1 Proof, the DVD and Blu-ray.
- 14:17That's what I want. And streaming.
- 14:19I think that's the thing we're missing.
- 14:21I love the Pantera home videos and I really want a full on
- 14:28Pantera home concert. I don't mind the live album with
- 14:33the current lineup. Personally, I don't think I want
- 14:39a Pantera record without the brothers, but that's just me. 3,
- 14:43That's right, the magic number is 3.
- 14:45I miss those guys. And I have no problem with
- 14:47Philip and Rex being Pantera. I know was very upsetting to
- 14:51people. Stop calling it Pantera.
- 14:53The tribute to Pantera, whatever it is.
- 14:56It's Philip and Rex's band too. I don't know if they ever would
- 14:59have passed things up with Vinny Paul, whose anniversary of his
- 15:02death just passed last week. But yeah, man, like they're
- 15:07doing justice out there. I saw that for I saw a Metallica
- 15:10with Pantera, Metallica twice and I saw Pantera headline this
- 15:14version of Pantera and they were fantastic and I got everything I
- 15:17wanted out of it. Charlie sounds exactly like
- 15:22Vinny Paul on the drums. They triggered the drums exactly
- 15:25like Vinny. And you know, Zach said that out
- 15:28of respect, he wasn't going to try to do a one for one note for
- 15:34note recreation of Daryl's work, even though of course he can, he
- 15:38chooses not to. He's also Zach Wylde and and
- 15:41Daryl was his friend. So, you know, I'm sure it's very
- 15:44difficult. And Charlie was was Daryl's best
- 15:47friend. So, you know, I couldn't think
- 15:49of a better group of people to be doing this.
- 15:51I don't necessarily want a new record with Pantera on it.
- 15:55I will have mixed feelings but we'll see.
- 15:59So check out our interview with Larcenia Rowe.
- 16:01Also just a reminder, Speaking of good topic, good segue,
- 16:05Rocker dad nice for it is a weird situation.
- 16:08We recently did a live stream. I'm hoping to do some more live
- 16:12streams weekly but it's been tough to make time.
- 16:14But I did one about a week and a half ago on the worst deaths
- 16:18ever in rock and metal. And as you can see from the
- 16:20thumbnail, Daryl was my personal beside Lemmy and Bowie and a few
- 16:23others and Cornell and Lane. But yeah, man, it's a tough one.
- 16:29Drop a comment and let us know who your worst death in
- 16:33rock'n'roll and metal was. I also included a few other
- 16:35artists that meant a lot to me, like Prince and George Michael.
- 16:38But you know, go back and watch that when you're done watching
- 16:42our show. That's some other high quality
- 16:43content on the channel, and we have a lot of stuff coming up
- 16:47soon. Tons of interviews going on
- 16:50soon. Also just a reminder, we have a
- 16:52podcast. This show will be a podcast
- 16:55wherever you listen to podcasts it goes called magazine podcast.
- 16:58And also I'm also the Co host of the glacially musical podcast.
- 17:04Beer, metal swearing, sometimes hockey, sometimes Kevin Smith
- 17:07movies. We are in the midst of a not
- 17:10metal series. We're doing the Beastie Boys 1st
- 17:136 records. We just did Paul's Boutique,
- 17:16it's out today. You can check it out.
- 17:18The YouTube will be on the channel at midnight on Glacial
- 17:21Musicals channel. That's Nick Cameron who's the
- 17:25host and me and Don de Lamont who are the two Co hosts and
- 17:28this is a lot of fun. We all love Beastie Boys are
- 17:31kind of that crossover band that rock and metal and punk head
- 17:34people all agree on and like in hip hop.
- 17:38Mozart for real. That's a good one, bro.
- 17:42I feel like Beethoven had a very tragic life because to me,
- 17:45Beethoven, he lost his fucking hearing.
- 17:48So not only couldn't he hear the stuff he composed, it kind of
- 17:53drove him mad. Which of course you know what
- 17:55happened I have kind of a little bit of hearing loss for.
- 17:57I played in bands for many years playing bass, slap at the
- 18:00basement, slap at the basement, slap at the bass and sit next to
- 18:04the drummer and getting like a China or a hi hat in my ear for
- 18:08years. No hearing protection like a
- 18:11Jackass for years. Stormland is here.
- 18:15What up son? I'm enjoying this run but GMP is
- 18:19weekly required listening. Thank you so much.
- 18:21I appreciate that very kind comment Stormland.
- 18:23Good to see you bro. Your workout pictures you are
- 18:26looking extremely spelt and swole.
- 18:29You're an inspiration, and I'm looking forward to new music
- 18:32from you and from Auntie Moz Beast in the chat here.
- 18:36Thanks so much. I appreciate that we are getting
- 18:37back to metal after the Beastie Boys run, I promise.
- 18:41And we're going to keep it metal for the rest of the year,
- 18:43probably also. That was all the features and
- 18:48the announcements and then the minutiae.
- 18:50And I appreciate you watching all that.
- 18:54And yeah, man, your progress has been stunning.
- 18:57You're a very handsome man there, Justin.
- 18:59Handsome. Anywho, moving right along, we
- 19:07always start the news rundown with metal festivals and we've
- 19:11got a bunch to talk about. We are just a week away from
- 19:16this Black Sabbath, whatever it's going to be.
- 19:21Oh no mass run. That would be sick.
- 19:24I'd love to do candle mask. I know that Don likes some
- 19:27candle mask. You know, Nick loves a lot of
- 19:31Stoner doom, but I think he's more of a death metal and thrash
- 19:34metal person than doom. I think it probably, I don't
- 19:37know, we'd have to talk about it.
- 19:39I definitely want to do candle mask.
- 19:40I definitely want to do sleep or High On Fire or sleep and High
- 19:44On Fire. I'm not sure.
- 19:47So this back to the beginning. I'm going to blow this up and
- 19:49take myself off the screen for a minute.
- 19:51But this, this thing is in a week and it's going to, you
- 19:55know, 10 days and it's going to be crazy.
- 19:58We did get the first picture from the rehearsal.
- 20:02We'll talk about that in a minute.
- 20:03We do know that Wolfgang Van Halen has dropped out.
- 20:06Here's Wolfie. He has been heavily promoting
- 20:09his upcoming tour with Miles Kennedy.
- 20:15And, you know, he has a new album out to promote.
- 20:19And I don't know if. Wolfie is the person that Sharon
- 20:23kicked off the show, but Wolfie is posted through social media.
- 20:27He is not part of the show anymore.
- 20:28I think it's pretty interesting. I don't know who has been kicked
- 20:32on Isaac and TX is here. What up I kill you passing by
- 20:35what up what up? I don't know.
- 20:38I don't know what's happening. I don't know what's happening
- 20:40with this. But Wolfie is off the show
- 20:41officially and I will be doing. I will be watching the live
- 20:45stream on the 5th and hopefully doing some content around that.
- 20:51I don't know if it'll be live in in the moment or something else.
- 20:56Hell Fire is coming up also in 10 days.
- 20:59This is a ginormous hardcore and death metal festival taking
- 21:04place in New Jersey. Apparently it's all day.
- 21:06July 4th, 5th and 6th Jersey in the house.
- 21:11Dying fetus 18 Visions disembodied beyond repair and
- 21:15tunnel bleeding. Hey guys.
- 21:17Today Haywire Balmora on broken Wings.
- 21:21Zaow, Missing Link. So many killer bands I don't
- 21:25know about. 24/7 like 16 hours of hardcore and death metal.
- 21:31Hey, Scott Lee is passing by. Oh, Scotty, don't.
- 21:34I thought it was Scott Lee. I can't see shit without my
- 21:36glasses. I need a new prescription for
- 21:38these fucking things. Sorry, Scotty.
- 21:39Don't. Welcome to Twitch.
- 21:41I'm not used to seeing you on Twitch, but I'm glad you're
- 21:43here. What up, pal?
- 21:44I'm good. How are you been a day?
- 21:48It's been a day. So how fire is coming up in New
- 21:51Jersey in 10 days. Also, Boston Calling, which
- 21:54we've covered in the past, has been going away and away and
- 21:57away from rock is taking the year off next year and coming
- 22:01back in June of 2027. So any scooter?
- 22:05Yeah, of course. I think.
- 22:08Sorry, pal. I think it's super interesting
- 22:10that, you know, we're seeing bands are having a hard time
- 22:14getting here. Our bands are having a hard time
- 22:16going over to Europe. Headliners who are the next
- 22:20generation of headliners even in pop and rap and other things,
- 22:23Who are they? Like, I know people love that
- 22:28one Doji cat song that was all over TikTok and Instagram for
- 22:31like a year straight with no stop.
- 22:33But realistically, she's not good at singing.
- 22:37Maybe she's cute and the song is catchy and she's got a couple of
- 22:40songs and features, but like, if I was a pop fan and I was
- 22:44looking at her, is she in the next vanguard of people to lead
- 22:50pop music forward? And I don't think it is.
- 22:53I can see other people doing it, but not her.
- 22:56Maybe a Charlie XCX, although I did not like her behavior at
- 23:00Coachella. Whatever.
- 23:03So Boston Calling taking the year off next year, wish them
- 23:06the best. We will see.
- 23:08It's very hard to kind of take a break and then come back a year
- 23:10later. But there's also too many
- 23:13freaking festivals. Memorial Day weekend, it's just
- 23:16too many. I went to Bottle Rock.
- 23:19Next year I would like to go to Maryland Death Fest or Bottle
- 23:21Rock again. It's just too many.
- 23:23It's just too many things. Also, 719 day on July 17th.
- 23:29This looks super interesting and cool.
- 23:35I don't know, this was kind of like a alt folk punk cool band
- 23:43kind of thing. Fighting the Phoenix town street
- 23:46corner themes I love a lot and we have some news about them to
- 23:50worry. Run off space Cowboys glitter
- 23:52porn lucked out. These are some really cool
- 23:55underground bands you probably need to check out.
- 23:58This might be cool at the black sheep, the real black sheep Doo
- 24:02Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo. Also, just a reminder again,
- 24:08Release Fest Athens continues with these festival sized crowds
- 24:13over a series of month long shows for June and July.
- 24:17We recently covered Avenged Sevenfold and Pillai a Royale.
- 24:22We have idols coverage coming up soon.
- 24:24So very very cool. Aiken is going to play their boy
- 24:28Harsher who I love. Oh my God.
- 24:30Dream Theater, The Prodigy, Gojira, not too shabby.
- 24:34Bob Dylan Fire in the Mountains is coming up at the end of July,
- 24:39headlined by Wardruna. We have a bunch of Wardruna news
- 24:41coming next week. Old Man's Child, Chelsea Wolf
- 24:45Converge and more at this Fire in the Mountains festival.
- 24:49We got a big announcement about the Gathering of the Juggalos
- 24:53with Gore is officially the headliner.
- 24:55Very, very cool. Again, not really my thing, but
- 24:5925 years of any kind of festival is impressive by any amount or
- 25:03stretch. Who else is here?
- 25:06Christophe Jim is here. Had you gone?
- 25:098329 is here. Studio Martinez is passed by.
- 25:12Thank you. Thank you. 1013 hearts on the
- 25:18chat. Thanks all, appreciate it.
- 25:21Incarceration is coming up in mid-july.
- 25:25Dave asks. I was thought it was funny that
- 25:27Nickelback got famous and then so OK, let's actually now
- 25:30practice. Hey man, you know what?
- 25:31Nickelback has sold millions of records.
- 25:33I wish I had one. How, You remind me.
- 25:37I've been writing songs since I'm thirteen years old, 12 years
- 25:40old. I had several runs with a band.
- 25:43I have a new band. And you know, I mean, like, you
- 25:47know, is it the most interesting, great, you know,
- 25:51deep music ever made? Yo, Led Zeppelin, it ain't Tool
- 25:55it ain't. Pink Floyd it ain't, Metallica
- 25:58it ain't. But there's people who love
- 26:00Nickelback and I highly recommend you watch that
- 26:02documentary about them because I think the hate is somewhat
- 26:06unjustified. But I agree with you, they were
- 26:12in the right place at the right time.
- 26:14That post 90s Metallica sound sort of the Hard Rock became a
- 26:19little metal and let people kind of get on and be heavy.
- 26:26The incarceration fest is coming up.
- 26:28Slipknot, death punch, Lamb of God, Three Days Grace as a bath,
- 26:33Bear tooth not loose, I prevail, Parkway Drive, kill switch,
- 26:36engage drain. Manson also Falling In Reverse.
- 26:41Also Dillinger escape plan. Oh dude better Nickelback than
- 26:47Ronnie wuss pants Radke. They are the most mid fucking
- 26:53band I have ever heard in my life.
- 26:56Honestly. Falling In Reverse is garbage
- 26:59base bar metal. Like literally not impressive as
- 27:03a band. And Ronnie's douche straight up.
- 27:07And I'm pretty sure he's looking at like his social relevance
- 27:11numbers every week and week to week.
- 27:14He's looking at like his social listening tools or his team is
- 27:17giving him data, you know, like start some shit this week with
- 27:20somebody so you're, you know, you stream some more songs.
- 27:23Like what a fucking douche. Anyway, I don't care for him and
- 27:30he doesn't know who we are, so all good.
- 27:31Don't worry. Damnation festival.
- 27:33We told you they added some more bands.
- 27:36Corrosion Conformity with a European exclusive late in the
- 27:39year. I do believe we're going to get
- 27:40a new Corrosion deformity album late this year, early next year.
- 27:45Hello, Andy Pelletier and Mark Anderson, 777 Napalm Death.
- 27:49I'm in rock deaf heaven. Pertubator Orbit Culture with
- 27:53the new album coming soon, High On Fire, The Haunted, I don't
- 27:56like Roth, Big Destroyer, Warning, Onslaught, Veggie Dude,
- 27:59Worm Rot and more Sigera in there.
- 28:05This was cool. I saw this pop up in my feed.
- 28:08Truck Fighters Who? I think I have my truck fighters
- 28:11hat here somewhere and I might be wearing it.
- 28:15No not but it was here earlier. Truck fighters have their own
- 28:19festival they usually put on every summer.
- 28:21Brent Bork, trio, Dozer themselves, Gnome, dune, craft,
- 28:27Abrams, Astro Cree, Astro Queen, caboose wizard with two Z's,
- 28:34Langfanga room projectors and more.
- 28:38This is in Stockholm in November.
- 28:41Would be kind of fun to go out there for that, but seems like
- 28:44also a long way to go for a festival.
- 28:48Also also on Hinge Fest is coming up in July, end of July
- 28:52and that's all the festival news this week.
- 28:54We will bring you more next week.
- 28:56We are well in the thick of the festival season for Europe and
- 29:01America, so we'll be bringing you more stuff next week.
- 29:03But here be the concerts now. Just straight up concerts and
- 29:08events. Metallica continues to
- 29:11Metallica. They have one more weekend on
- 29:13this M72 tour this year. I do believe they will add at
- 29:17least one more show and they're playing like Bahrain and Dubai
- 29:22and they have New Zealand and Australia.
- 29:24But in terms of the North American dates, it's all over
- 29:27soon. So somebody trying to call in
- 29:34anyway. So Yep, Metallica last weekend,
- 29:40the shows, I think it's Seattle, pretty cool.
- 29:43Would like to have gone. Will not get to go.
- 29:46I'm sure they'll also do their Helping Hands concert this year.
- 29:50Yeah, I'm saying man, like, I don't know.
- 29:53I was listening to the load box set stuff on Spotify this week.
- 29:56Like all the outtakes and extra takes.
- 29:58The live concerts are fucking phenomenal.
- 30:00I don't want to spend $350.00 for that box set.
- 30:03I kind of wish I did though, because those live records on
- 30:05vinyl will probably be charity. I don't really need hours and
- 30:09hours of outtakes and demos from a record that's not that good in
- 30:13the 1st place. Load is Fiesta all right, It's
- 30:16got some great songs and throw away all the other things that
- 30:19cut their hair. They were wearing guy liner and
- 30:22kissing each other. I don't care about any of that
- 30:23shit. Bands take risks and and change
- 30:26their style and everything, but I still love Metallica.
- 30:28They're still one of my favorite bands ever.
- 30:31All righty Also also again, we know the tickets are on sale for
- 30:35next year's tour dates across Europe and I'm sure they'll add
- 30:38some more. Then 9 inch nails Peela back
- 30:41tour continues and is hitting states soon.
- 30:46They're still wrapping up Europe right now in CDC.
- 30:49You know they're just about to kick off a European festival
- 30:52tour as well as their headline dates and they have announced
- 30:56dates for Australia. This looks pretty rad.
- 30:59Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, it's basically
- 31:03all the major cities of Australia.
- 31:06So I don't know. I'm sad that I missed ACDC.
- 31:10It's like the one band I have never seen.
- 31:11Thrash man is here. Mike Fonseca drums is here.
- 31:15He's the thrash man beat up. Oh Bah oh Bah, I'm sure you've
- 31:19not heard that joke before. Haha, probably a lot.
- 31:22Ain't that funny? What's up man?
- 31:24Queens of the Stone Age announced the Catacombs tour.
- 31:27Their new Catacombs video is out now for purchase and rent, but
- 31:32I'm super interested to see they're going to team up with
- 31:34like a little string orchestra in every city and do a similar
- 31:39performance to the one they did in the Catacombs of Paris.
- 31:42So I wouldn't mind going to this myself.
- 31:44It's not that many dates early October to mid November right
- 31:49before Thanksgiving in America, so hopefully they will then
- 31:52bring this next summer to Europe.
- 31:57Earn has announced the handful of dates.
- 31:59They just played basically the last show of the tour for their
- 32:03last album and they are very soon to announce new music and a
- 32:06new album. So they have a handful of dates
- 32:09this fall, a book, a France tour.
- 32:11Earn is the proteges of Joe Duplantier from Kojira and I'm a
- 32:17huge fan of them. They are signed to Spine Farm
- 32:19Records and I'm super excited about this band.
- 32:22They could be like one of your next breakout bands if things
- 32:26happen for them a certain way. They are almost too heavy to get
- 32:30more popular. We'll see what they do on the
- 32:32next record. Tejon Street Corner Thieves.
- 32:34I was just talking about them. They got some shows this
- 32:37weekend. Here's one this weekend, Piso in
- 32:42Michigan. They are a sort of murder folk,
- 32:46country, bluegrass adjacent band from Colorado Springs I'm a big
- 32:51fan of. They are signed to Amigo, the
- 32:53Devil's record label, Liars Club also.
- 32:56Also the Nocturnal Affair who has new music out has announced
- 33:00a Europe and UK summer tour. Some dates supporting Wednesday
- 33:0413 other dates opening for Drowning Pool.
- 33:07Super cool for them to get this glow up and I'm interested in
- 33:12finding this band. I am definitely on Instagram.
- 33:14I could be shadow band, I don't know.
- 33:16We're still there. We were having some problems
- 33:19with our Instagram. I had like a computer shit the
- 33:22whole bed the beginning of June and I had to like install
- 33:26Windows 11, put in new RAM, do this and the other thing.
- 33:29Thanks to my awesome girlfriend for helping me out and
- 33:32supporting me through that very difficult, painful time
- 33:35mentally. And because I rely on this thing
- 33:38not just for go scope, but the rest of my life too.
- 33:41And, you know, we're there, we're there.
- 33:47We're posting maybe and not as much as we should be, but we'll
- 33:50change that soon. And I'm trying to still do more
- 33:52with my personal gram and YouTube.
- 33:57You don't like this photo of this band?
- 33:58Is that what you're saying? It's it's interesting, that's
- 34:01for sure. Oh, and now you're on Instagram.
- 34:03There you go. Couldn't find this.
- 34:04I see. Welcome.
- 34:06Welcome back, friend. Mayhem has announced their
- 34:10exclusive 40th anniversary shows for later this year in Latin
- 34:14America. Oh when the PC?
- 34:17Yeah when the PC crashes. That shit is the worst bro.
- 34:20The worst. And not only crashes, it really
- 34:23shit the fucking whole bed. What a disaster.
- 34:28Death Heaven has announced AUK tour for later this year with
- 34:31Portrayal of Guilt and 0. Portrayal of Guilt is a killer
- 34:36fucking band I've been a fan of for a very long time.
- 34:38Super cool to see them open up for Death Heaven.
- 34:42Interesting to see them and A0LI don't know much about, so if you
- 34:48know about that band, jump in the comments and tell me.
- 34:51Again, supporting our friends over at Ice Giant with their
- 34:55upcoming tour with Malfasa and Celestial Wizard starting off in
- 34:59Boston in a week and a half. Best of luck to them and safety
- 35:03on the road once again. We're at like the halfway point
- 35:06of the y'all so feel free to give us a tip.
- 35:10Just a tip, if you will, I host karaoke on Sundays and you
- 35:19basically have to remind people to tip you.
- 35:21I do get paid to the host, but like, it's important to, you
- 35:25know, show your appreciation. I'm not asking for the whole
- 35:28bank, just a dollar or two. But yeah, it's not always the
- 35:32most easiest thing for me to do. Also, let's talk about our
- 35:36affiliate partners real quick. Lamb Goat, we are part of the
- 35:40Lamb Goat media network. Lamb Goat is the mirror version
- 35:43of Ghost Cult and we are part of their media network.
- 35:47When you see ads at ghostcalledmag.com, that's from
- 35:49Lamb Goats programmatic advertising.
- 35:52And if you have a band or a brand or a store and you need to
- 35:56promote that, Lamb Goats advertising has a great reach of
- 35:59metalheads and other people, so check them out.
- 36:03Other brands in the Lamb Goat portfolio include Ghost Cult,
- 36:08Metal Insider, This Day in Metal, New Metal Agenda, and our
- 36:12friend Anthony Fantano, the busiest reviewer in the world on
- 36:17the Internet. Fantano going hard on a lot of
- 36:21things these days and also stream yard, except for you guys
- 36:24at TikTok, everybody else watching this is seeing this
- 36:27through stream yard. You're seeing it on Instagram
- 36:29because the stream yard. We're on Twitch because the
- 36:30Stream Yard Stream Yarn helps you pull all of your fans into
- 36:34one place and present to them in this cool streaming platform.
- 36:39If you sign up with our link in the description, you get $10 off
- 36:41your subscription. We get $10 off our next bill.
- 36:45It's pretty badass. Christy is here.
- 36:47Hi, Christy, and it's OK is here.
- 36:49What's up? We will have a new affiliate
- 36:53partner to announce next week. I'm really excited about it, so
- 36:56stay tuned. There's going to be some content
- 36:58around that and some cool deals. Stay tuned.
- 37:01New affiliate partners incoming. So you've already seen it.
- 37:06We're on Twitch. Look at me, this is pretty
- 37:09interesting. You know, we're trying to get,
- 37:12we're almost to 6000 viewers on YouTube.
- 37:15So if you're not subbed and you're watching on YouTube, give
- 37:18us a subscription. We'll make it worth your while.
- 37:21I'm thinking of, like I said, building and I talked about this
- 37:24last week. I'm going to start exploring
- 37:26doing an extra live stream a week privately for subscribers
- 37:31to the channel. It's as low as a dollar to
- 37:36subscribe to us on YouTube and we will do some content just for
- 37:41you. Maybe I'll do it on Tuesdays.
- 37:44And so Nuclear Blast is having a tough couple of weeks.
- 37:48They said, oh, you know, we're leaving X, which I understand
- 37:52why. I don't think it's doing much
- 37:54for anybody these days the way it's going.
- 37:56And then they kind of got kicked off of not kicked off, but they
- 37:59lost access to their channel or their channel was deleted by
- 38:03YouTube of all fucking things. It's because the Internet and
- 38:06the music labels, not nuclear blast fault.
- 38:09They didn't do anything to get kicked off.
- 38:10But there's problems with, you know, there's problems with
- 38:16streaming and rights and copyright strikes and stuff.
- 38:20And that's probably what happened is they got strikes for
- 38:22stuff on their own channel that they own, but YouTube couldn't
- 38:26figure out that they're the owners of the exclusive license.
- 38:29And that's probably what happened.
- 38:31They will probably get their YouTube channel back.
- 38:33But I feel bad for them and I'm not calling them out at all.
- 38:35We love last year. We cover all their bands, we go
- 38:38to all their shows, we interview all their bands, we review most
- 38:40of their records. But I just thought it was
- 38:42interesting. Be careful with your music
- 38:44especially there's a lot of people watch our channels that
- 38:46make music. Be careful, I saw some really
- 38:49heinous shit about Cap Cut which is owned by Bike Dance which
- 38:52owns TikTok, and I'm very seriously considering getting
- 38:56rid of Cap Cut altogether. It surely will save me a few
- 38:59bucks every month. We're on threads, we're on blue
- 39:03sky, I don't know if you like those things.
- 39:04We have a Discord, we post on Reddit every week.
- 39:08So if you're on those places and you don't like social media,
- 39:12maybe find our information somewhere else or sign up for
- 39:15our newsletter, which we don't talk enough about.
- 39:17And I need to kind of work on a new format for that.
- 39:20But I'm going to start back on that in earnest soon, even
- 39:25though my name is Keithy and non earnest.
- 39:27Time for the news. Let's do the rest of the news
- 39:29and say goodbye. So you guys have seen this
- 39:32photo. This is from the rehearsals at
- 39:35Black Sabbath farewell concert we talked about a few minutes
- 39:37ago. Ozzie's looking a little chunky
- 39:41with a cane. Bill Ward looks very slender but
- 39:43well, and Geezer looks like Geezer.
- 39:47I wonder if Tony took this photo.
- 39:50I'm cautiously optimistic about this thing, and I'm sure there
- 39:54will be more news and stories to come out of this thing.
- 39:57Pumpkin Jack is here. What up?
- 39:59We'll see how it goes. We'll see how it goes for the
- 40:01Black Sabbath Ozzie farewell concert.
- 40:03I wish them the best. Also, we were talking last week
- 40:07about Ozzy's cans of Liquid Death.
- 40:09Here I am shilling from my Liquid Death.
- 40:11Ozzy drank out of 10 cans of Liquid Death and in Liquid Death
- 40:14sold those cans for $450 a can. And apparently Travis Barker is
- 40:19one of the buyers because he loves Ozzy and he's crazy and he
- 40:23has money to burn apparently. So what will Liquid Death think
- 40:29of next? Failure out this weekend on
- 40:34Disney Plus in Hulu. Failures documentary created by
- 40:39Ken Andrews of the band. Don't know if you're a fan, you
- 40:41should be a fan. If you're not, get acquainted.
- 40:43Failure every time you lose your mind, a film about failure is a
- 40:47historical deep dive into the entire history of the band.
- 40:52They were apparently somebody else was making this documentary
- 40:55and then kind of couldn't finish it and 10 finished the
- 40:59documentary about his own band. It is warts and all.
- 41:03Failure is a band that should have been as big as any band in
- 41:06the 90s, should have been as big as Tool.
- 41:08And they fell apart and this, and then they came back and
- 41:12their last couple of records have been brilliant, as you
- 41:14would expect. So we have an interview coming
- 41:16up in July with Ken about this film.
- 41:18I'm really stoked about it. I've been lucky enough to
- 41:21interview Failure a few times. Failure reunited for the first
- 41:24time in 2014. Ghost Cult was there.
- 41:27We also covered their first show back as a full time band.
- 41:31So pretty great. Check them out if you don't know
- 41:35who they are. Three Days Grace has finally
- 41:38announced their brand new album Alienation.
- 41:40They dropped a new single. This is the full expanded lineup
- 41:43of the band with Matt Walst and Adam Gontier as the vocalist.
- 41:47As you heard me mention before, they are still doing festivals
- 41:51and touring and all this other stuff for their new album coming
- 41:54out later in the year via RCA Records.
- 41:58And that's the album artwork. It looks pretty cool.
- 42:01It's the artwork feels like describes alienation in the
- 42:05picture. I thought it was actually pretty
- 42:07well done. Gore is coming out with their
- 42:10new album, The Return of Gore. Gore coming out on their own Pit
- 42:14Records this summer, and it's a multimedia release in
- 42:18collaboration with Z2 Comics. So there's a new Gore album, a
- 42:23comic book, vinyl variants, and other things.
- 42:28I think there's a Gore Gore plushie that I personally would
- 42:30love to have because he looks really cool and I'm very excited
- 42:33about this Gore interview. You know, it's the 40th
- 42:36anniversary of Gore, so they're doing all the things all the
- 42:40celebratory things. Sun don't Shine is the Super
- 42:44group we've been talking a lot about for years.
- 42:47Me, I think we one of the original people to break the
- 42:49story about this band. Sun Don't Shine includes members
- 42:52of Type O Negative, Crowbar and down and they dropped their new
- 42:57single coming down. Their new EP is coming out in a
- 43:01month and I'm super hyped for this.
- 43:04We would probably be interviewing another member of
- 43:07the band soon. We've been doing we've done a
- 43:09lot of coverage of them. We've done a lot of interviews
- 43:11with the guys about their other bands and I am very, very
- 43:16excited for this thing. Sort of a psychedelic Stoner do
- 43:19sort of an absolute mix between Type O Negative with Kenny doing
- 43:23most of the vocals or all the vocals and those grooves from
- 43:27down. So I think this is going to be
- 43:28really all a good. Also also Speaking of
- 43:32documentaries and films, Harley Flanagan Wired for Chaos is
- 43:36doing the festival circuit and indie movie house rounds.
- 43:39Check your local indie movie theaters and support these
- 43:42theaters as well in your communities.
- 43:45I believe Harley will be in San Francisco this weekend.
- 43:48I'm going to see the show on Sunday before I host karaoke.
- 43:52It's a film by Rex Miller and his own Rex Picks media company
- 43:58and I'm very excited about this. I did reach out to Harley to try
- 44:01to get an interview. Not sure if I can get some press
- 44:04with him or not. He might be done with the press
- 44:05for now. Steve Gordon, Mia is a legendary
- 44:10guitar player. He's played with just about
- 44:12everybody in rock and heavy metal.
- 44:14He's got a brand new single, Cold We Go to War, featuring Ray
- 44:17West of Spread Eagle and a couple of other bands.
- 44:21Killer guitar rock, metal if you like it.
- 44:25Forbidden. You all know my love for the
- 44:27band Forbidden, right? Forbidden dropped their brand
- 44:30new single Divided by Zero that is out now.
- 44:34They are working on a brand new album for next summer.
- 44:36They are about to kick off a late summer tour of a headline
- 44:41shows and festivals in Europe. And then I couldn't be more
- 44:45excited for Forbidden. Incredible, legendary Bay Area
- 44:49thrash metal. You need this in your life.
- 44:52Red Belly Sound is here. Wake Basis here will open up.
- 44:56Only wizard passed by. Also, thanks to y'all who are
- 45:01still hanging with us. Living Color scared their
- 45:04concert for NPR's Tiny Desk music concert.
- 45:07And if I can jump on a soapbox for a second because I'd love
- 45:11to, You know, the government is trying to shut down NPR.
- 45:15And NPR is really important. First and foremost, they have
- 45:18been a supporter. They're they're barely
- 45:21government funded. Most of their funding does not
- 45:23come from the government. So the government pulls their
- 45:25funding. That sucks, but their funding
- 45:27actually comes from fans and members.
- 45:30But NPR is an important voice in the press for freedom of speech,
- 45:36for fair and balanced news. Actual fair and balanced, not
- 45:38news. Not calling themselves fair and
- 45:40balanced and being assholes and one sided.
- 45:44And then NPR has been uplifting the arts for the longest time.
- 45:47Tiny Desk Concert has had rock, metal, rap, jazz, everybody.
- 45:51So Living Color, which is one of my favorite bands ever going
- 45:54back to the 80s, did a short Tiny desk concert.
- 45:56It's usually like 1/2 an hour tops and they jammed the fuck
- 46:01out. We shared this on our site today
- 46:02and I'm super excited. Prong has announced that they
- 46:08have signed with Napalm Records. Everybody knows my love of
- 46:11Prong. We have many interviews on our
- 46:13YouTube channel with Prong and they are doing a big show.
- 46:18The only North American show in 202531 years of cleansing.
- 46:23Plus cleansing in its entirety and all your favorites.
- 46:27Saturday, July 19th on Long Island in Amityville at Loaded.
- 46:34I'm sorry, Amityville Music Hall, loaded concert series and
- 46:38before my Long Island people get on my ass in the chat and yeah,
- 46:43I'm very excited about this. We have to find a way to get out
- 46:46cover that Amatory murders new album is out now and we're we're
- 46:55pretty stoked on that. You should check that record out
- 46:57as well. They got a new music video out
- 46:59too. We've been talking a lot about
- 47:01AI is another soapbox to jump on.
- 47:04We've been seeing a lot of music legends jump on the bandwagon of
- 47:09AI. And I know Rick Rubin gave an
- 47:11interview recently where he was talking about this AI app he has
- 47:15worked on introducing called Claude with this cumshot
- 47:19asterisk next next to it that I don't like this spooge.
- 47:25For a guy that's supposed to be a musical genius, this just
- 47:27again, just seems like lazy garbage.
- 47:30If you're interested, John Oliver from Last Week Tonight on
- 47:34HBO Max, whatever the fuck do you want to call it now, did a
- 47:37whole thing on AI Slop, which included AI music.
- 47:40Are you seeing like AI bands and artists jobbed into your
- 47:44streaming and your Youtubes and your spotifies?
- 47:47I am, and it sucks. So I don't know why a guy that's
- 47:50supposed to be a bona fide music genius would be like on the Dick
- 47:54of AI. It would seem to me like he
- 47:55would be against AI, and again, I'm not afraid of AI or machine
- 47:59learning, which is really what we have and have had for a long
- 48:02time. But I do think that it's cheesy
- 48:04to take half measures. We need real artists making art
- 48:08and music and no substitutes. And I will go die on that
- 48:12fucking hill. Spinal Tap is back in theaters
- 48:17next weekend, July 5th, 6th, and 7th only.
- 48:19As you know, Spinal Tap 2 is filming right now where the band
- 48:24is reuniting after 15 years of retirement to do one last show.
- 48:27Does that sound familiar? And This is Spinal Tap is one of
- 48:31the greatest things we call back to earlier in the show when we
- 48:35talked about the 20 most metal movies and shows.
- 48:39And Spinal Tap is on that list. Go check it out.
- 48:43I'm going to try to go see it. Locrian has a new reissue of one
- 48:48of their classic albums from about 15 years ago.
- 48:51This is an absolute bop and a banger.
- 48:54I'm super stoked. We had an interview with them
- 48:56not too long ago. We reviewed their last album in
- 48:592023 I believe. They're not doing that much
- 49:02touring, but maybe writing a new album in 25 or 26 if I'm not
- 49:08mistaken. That's not based on fact, but
- 49:10that's just, you know, hopeful by me.
- 49:13I heard that was kind of in their plans last time we caught
- 49:18up with the band. And so I, you know, be
- 49:20interesting next time they have a full length release, we will
- 49:24get a more deeper dive with them.
- 49:27That's the Crystal World is the album.
- 49:30The Crystal World is the album. Ryobi is passed by.
- 49:33Hello. Getting down to the end here.
- 49:36Just a reminder, New York City Denzians, go up to the Bronx, to
- 49:41the Bronx County Historical Society and check out Uptown
- 49:44Rumble Heavy Music in the Bronx. An exhibition going until from,
- 49:49opened in April, and it's going all the way through November.
- 49:52It's curated by Stephen Payne, Chucky Brown and friend of the
- 49:55show Geo Estrella, and it's got a litany of musical artists that
- 50:01come from New York City and the Bronx especially.
- 50:04And you want to go to this? I am not going to get back East
- 50:08before next year, so I will not get to see this thing, but I'm
- 50:11hopeful that we'll get over there to cover it and check it
- 50:14out. Also inside drop the brand new
- 50:21song this week. Their new album is coming out in
- 50:23August to be a Raining Phoenix Music.
- 50:25We have an interview coming up in August with Richie Cavallaro,
- 50:28Matt Kevlar's son. Super pumped for this new album
- 50:32from them. A couple weeks ago we brought
- 50:35you the sad news about Douglas passing away from Nitsareb, and
- 50:41Nitsareb put out a statement last week, last weekend after we
- 50:47went to live, saying that the band intends to continue without
- 50:51Douglas. It will never be the same.
- 50:53But they have been touring with a different singer.
- 50:56Their drummer became their singer and they've been working
- 50:59on a long, like a very long in the In the Process album that's
- 51:03close to being done. So their sort of job, their goal
- 51:09is to continue the band without Douglas, as sad as that is for
- 51:11them. Kitsune Moon Girl is here.
- 51:13Hello, hello, hello. So, yeah, just tough.
- 51:18Just tough stuff. Tough when people leave us.
- 51:21Douglas was suffering for a long time with liver failure, which
- 51:24sucks. Jones has a new single in video
- 51:28out there, new albums coming out soon from Perception Music,
- 51:31which is a sub label of Raining Phoenix.
- 51:33We were just talking about them. This is just hilarious.
- 51:37The berenstain bears brother Bear finds Papa bears tool
- 51:40album. I just like funny things.
- 51:43The stone eyes pass by former ghost called interviewees.
- 51:46The stone eye, How are you doing?
- 51:48Luch is here. You know what that means when
- 51:53you see a meme, it's time for the next section of the show.
- 51:56We've got 2 sections of the show left and they're very manageable
- 52:00under an hour. So let's do the New Music Friday
- 52:05list that's out this week. We are in the last month of
- 52:09June. There is a ton of records out
- 52:10this week that you need to know about.
- 52:14Alice, what records you are interested in getting.
- 52:16I will do the band name, the album name, the label if they
- 52:21have one, and the genre. So kicking things off this week

- 54:43made-up for themselves. Fans make up a good name for
- 54:46yourself. Nicholas Sane.
- 54:50Electric Dreams on Frontiers SRO for some Danish rock.
- 54:53Pleasure Pill Hang a Star on A La Carte Records for some indie
- 54:56rock. Futrinity Morbid Ataraxia on
- 55:00Willow Tip Records for some Italian brutal death metal.
- 55:03Royal Lynn This is an artist I've been super interested in.
- 55:06Black Magic on Epitaph Records for some alternative metal.
- 55:10Hard Rock with a country flair. Serpent Corpse Retaliate on
- 55:15Transcending Obscurity Records, one of our favorites for some
- 55:18death metal. Mutt Tomorrow Comes Crashing
- 55:21Down on Bayonet Records for some 80s guitar pop.
- 55:26And Let's See Sodom for some classic thrash metal with their
- 55:31new album The Arsonist. We interviewed Thomas Angel

- 55:50And that is all the new releases.
- 55:55Definitely absolutely gay. Absolutely.
- 55:59That's some some cool avant-garde artists out there
- 56:01like yourself. Now it's time for the mailbag
- 56:04and I'm going to put myself back in the screen.
- 56:08Hey, it's me frozen over here. I'm not sure why.
- 56:15All right, let's see if I'm back.
- 56:28Seem to be having problems now. Let's see.
- 56:44I need like football game music. Here we go.
- 56:46I'm back. All righty.
- 56:50And now it's time for the mailbag.
- 56:51And this week in the mailbag, I have the brand new album from
- 56:54Ghost. I have bought actually very
- 56:57little new music this year. Just a little bit slow on my
- 57:01purchasing. This is Ghost new album
- 57:03Skeleton. Now this is the indie vinyl
- 57:08variant version. It's already in the Mylar.
- 57:12It came with this really cool. First of all, here's the album
- 57:16artwork. It's kind of like this foily
- 57:17silver again, always going with the Metropolis themes that Ghost
- 57:23uses. And then the back cover had this
- 57:26really cool sort of film to put over the back, but it actually
- 57:33it works on the back or the front.
- 57:38That's cool. And then you can also put it
- 57:40over the front, but it works better on the back.
- 57:42But there it is on the front as well.
- 57:44Looks kind of cool. Looks kind of cool just by
- 57:46itself. You could just kind of put this
- 57:47up on your record stand or something.
- 57:51It also came with an insert with all the with this very popular
- 57:55photo you've seen on our website and other websites, as well as
- 57:59the lyrics on the back, which is cool because except for one
- 58:03song, this album is full of bangers.
- 58:05I think I can skip love rockets. It's kind of corny, but really
- 58:10cool to see the care that they put this in, have all the songs
- 58:16and the lyrics. And then finally, the vinyl
- 58:20variant for this is the yeah, I have the hype sticker here.
- 58:26It's the Violet vinyl and collectible Papa overlay Indie
- 58:30Record Store exclusive vinyl vinyl Violet color.
- 58:34So this is a train. It's not quite translucent
- 58:38final, but it's a Violet say that five times faster Violet
- 58:43vinyl but very cool with the ghost label ography happening
- 58:49there. Super cool great record not
- 58:52their best record, not my favorite ghost record, but an
- 58:54excellent record for this year and I'm super stoked about it.
- 58:59And that is the end of the show. I could attempt to put back the
- 59:04the slide deck and see up there it is.
- 59:06There's purple version I don't have.
- 59:10And that's the end of the show. Once again, we've come to
- 59:13another end. Thanks for being here.
- 59:18Piercing metal popped in right at the end.
- 59:20What's up? Ken, good to see you.
- 59:21We were talking earlier about the business.
- 59:24Anyway, you reached the end of the show.
- 59:27And as we say every week at this juncture of the show, it's a
- 59:30tough time in the world. So definitely thank you, Gabe.
- 59:32Thanks everybody for watching. Take care of yourselves, take
- 59:35care of each other. Stay as metal as humanly
- 59:37possible. Don't drink and drive.
- 59:39We'll see you next week. Thursday afternoon, Pacific
- 59:42Peace out. Let's see if the end music
- 59:44works. I'll dance a jig if it does.
- 59:46There it is, Junior. If we get out of this, I'll
- 59:57dance a jig. Peace, everybody.
- 1:00:00Have a good weekend.
