Transcript
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Happy Sunday, everybody.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Tommy Grasafi and my partner in crime, Jim Wiesemeyer.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Jim, we've been then doing these videos for a year and a half, and I'm really proud of what we've accomplished and what we're doing.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Things are changing a little bit, and I wanted to talk about it because there's a lot of things happening in agriculture.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: Magic, matter of fact, you actually helped the USDA come and tell the truth.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Let's tell people about what we're doing over at Agbol, Jim.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: We have AgBull Intel that's$250 a year.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: It gets all those things and this video.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: But Jim, you have been putting out content for over five years and you've been giving it away for free.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Is that correct?
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh content for uh 50 years, but in in in the current format, yeah, about five years.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we added a coupon code on AgBull.com.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: The introductory offer is$199 a year.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Please add that code.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: A few people did sign up.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: We will rebate them the money because they forgot to add the code.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Now, real quick, both parties, whether you're part of AgBull Intel, which is very heavily markets-based, we have text alerts, before the belt video research, educational videos during the week.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: We text people when markets move.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: You are moving to the same thing with your platform, Jim.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Tell people about that, about how you're going to now be able to text and how people will be able to go on agbal.com the second you release a story.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: It's going to be released out there.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: They're going to get an email and a text.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Tell us what's coming down the pipe.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: And including the archive, so you can go back and and and and and read them when you uh have time.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: But you know, our daily reporting is we begin the morning with the daily weather briefing, both in the US and then when it's uh when it's in focus, which it is now uh uh South American uh weather, primarily Brazil and Argentina.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Then we follow that up each morning with the updates, our daily updates, which is basically our newsletter, a blog, if you will, just on the eight or nine to ten key issues in in the in the policy end, in the energy end, and in the the trade policy end, connecting the dots.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: Then throughout the day, depending on the uh type of day that we're in in in the marketplace, we have special reports where we uh expand with charts and graphics and further analysis on individual topics.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: And you know, that's the that's the nucleus of uh my reporting, and that's what's moving on to the agbol.com site.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: You're telling me you're giving all that for 54 cents a day.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: I'm not paid for my worth, but we're gonna get something for it.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: But as you said, yeah, we've uh upped uh the notch or two of uh how we do things and when we do things and graphics and you know personnel, etc.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: And yeah, that costs money.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: And although for years I I didn't charge anything, we really have to right now.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: And frankly, there's a there's another another aspect of this, Tommy.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: I I love giving speeches, but I'm gonna start uh curtailing, not ending, but curtailing the number because it's a drain to travel right now.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Plus, I'd rather be at my home with my cat analyzing policy, and I can do that better at my home office.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna curtail the number of speeches, but this allows me to deliver even more information on our internet site on agbol.com.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Very good, folks.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: I hope you join Agbol Intel 250 a year, Weesmeyers Perspectives 199 a year.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Both receive this video.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Two separate services, two separate people.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: All right, Jim, break it down, brother.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Tell us about the 10 things we're gonna talk about today.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Okay, we're gonna, as we normally do, begin with the markets.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: We're gonna go through the final set of Friday settlements and the percentage changes.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: Then we're gonna add in the funds have been cutting grain longs and adding wheat charts that we go into the cattle on feed report that we had last week.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: What's it mean?
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: We're gonna have an extended discussion on NAS finally admitted they had some problems in the September corn crop production report.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: We're gonna go through some of those and why.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: And I think I have some updated information that has not even been reported on our site yet.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: Then we're gonna go to the whole hog price doldrums.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Remember, we we had a special report on that last week.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Well, it continued this past week.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Then USDA this past week had another major fertilizer announcement, uh, eight fertilizer projects.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: We'll detail those.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: We got an$8 billion harvest fuel relief program.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: We're gonna tell you the likely timing uh of those programs and when the payment rates are gonna be coming out.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: This week is important for a number of reasons, but primarily October 28th, Wednesday, when the FOMC, the Fed, is gonna announce interest rate change, if any.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Then we had a Maha official make America Healthy again, leaving the Trump administration, Callie Means last week.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: What does that mean?
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: And today Brazil is holding a presidential contest.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Why is that important for American agriculture?
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: It is, and we end it with an extended interview we had with David Wasserman of the Cook Political Report.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: We're going to go through some of the bottom line projections that he made House, Senate, key issues, the rural turnout, etc.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: All that and a little bit more are coming out in this issue of Wiesemeyer's perspectives.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: See you on the other side, brother.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
