- 0:02SPEAKER_02: He said, Good everyone.
- 0:03SPEAKER_02: Good everyone.
- 0:03SPEAKER_02: Happy Thirsty Thursday.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: Just wanted to say that my friend Connie.
- 0:07SPEAKER_02: Hey, Connie.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: Connie.
- 0:09SPEAKER_02: And her uh son said thank you.
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: It's just something about the name Connie.
- 0:12SPEAKER_02: I just want to go, Connie! I don't know what it is.
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: Anyway, her and her son uh said thank you for the uh birthday song because we did that yesterday for them.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: Oh, they recorded it.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: And uh oh, he recorded it and sent it to them.
- 0:23SPEAKER_03: That's very sweet.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: And if you're recording again, hi Connie!
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: Oh it's probably on demand.
- 0:29SPEAKER_03: I don't remember what time we did it.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: Don't remember either.
- 0:31SPEAKER_03: But just to keep that in mind, if you miss anything from the show, you can always catch it on demand.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Almost everything makes it on demand.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: Not everything, but almost everything does.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: Well, something made it on demand that got me a phone call yesterday.
- 0:44SPEAKER_03: Apparently you Oh my God, I sound like I'm 48 and been smoking wings.
- 0:47SPEAKER_03: You sound like Connie.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: I thought so.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: Speaking of which, Betty says uh she's running late.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: Uh she said, oh my gosh, October already, and let the witchy season begin.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Oh the nice thing is when you have cobwebs, cobwebs in your house, it's festive.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
- 1:01SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: Right now, why clean?
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: Make it look like Halloween.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, put that on a shirt.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: Why clean, make it look like Halloween?
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: Oh, did you see my Halloween sweatshirt today?
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: No.
- 1:11SPEAKER_03: It is the um, it says, what is this?
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: What is this?
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: Oh Why don't you read upside down now?
- 1:17SPEAKER_03: I know it's hard.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: Um so it's got a spider web on it with like this like kind of pin up Halloween girl, and it says such a good ghoul.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: Oh, how did you get in trouble yesterday?
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: So we were talking about we were talking about uh uh and I think she might have been joking with me, but she came in hard, so I was questioning it.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Uh take a sip of coffee.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: We're we were talking about how I ate the last of these chips that she wanted.
- 1:44SPEAKER_03: Oh, the the segment is called Licking the Chips.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: Thanks.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: And uh that's where it was.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: And uh I had apparently and I uh look, I believe in stipulations.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: You know, there's time.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: If you buy something this weekend, you got a period of time, you gotta eat it, or if it's if you're claiming it, or it's it's moving on.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: I said a week and I'm being generous on that.
- 2:02SPEAKER_03: But anyway.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Don't come back six weeks later and be like, Well, where are they?
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: I'm like, well, that was six weeks ago.
- 2:07SPEAKER_03: For the first time ever, I stand with Scott.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: Apparently, I said, yeah.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: Apparently, I said that we bought these chips at Trader Joe's, and then I get the call.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: You lied.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I lied?
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: What are you talking about?
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: She goes, It was the pita chips we bought at Costco.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: I'm like, that's not a lie, that's an error.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: Even though I still did them.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: That's a very minor detail.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: I know, but I'm like, and you lie.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, well, you didn't have any uh you didn't have any um uh hummus to eat them with anyway, so I was just eating the pita chips.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: And she goes, Oh, I got hummus.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: I'm like, what?
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: She's just trying to justify not eating them now.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: She's just getting up my crap.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I got you.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Sorry, correction from yesterday, not Trader Joe's, Costco.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: My apologies.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: I am a lot of- I can't remember every detail, and sometimes, yes, I will just insert whatever detail I think it should be.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yes.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: That's exactly what happened yesterday.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: I've heard the same thing where Zach's like, that's not exactly how that played out.
- 2:58SPEAKER_03: Okay, well, it's it in my head.
- 2:59SPEAKER_03: So moving on.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: It's close enough to my memory.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: So interestingly enough, uh, this is a divine timing.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: So yesterday, we had a uh haircut appointment for Lydia.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: So, you know, we had to get two inches taken off because you know how it is, you know.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: And uh, and she got all excited because her hairdresser, Sam, uh came down.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: Now, Sam has very long hair, and I think Lydia looked at it and was like, I want that.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: And uh, we're like, well, this is why you have to get two inches cut off, which sounds counterproductive.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: You're like, wait, you're cutting me back so I can have that?
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: We're like, no, but that's how it grows.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: That's true, yeah.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: Listen to the bald man when it comes to hair advice.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: Ironically, today's National Hair Day, a day I really can't celebrate too much.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: However, I take you to this TikToker who really brings up a very good point.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I got my haircut today, Echo Eclipse.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: And a lot of women are probably thinking, why would you do that?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: You never know what you're gonna get.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: That's the fun part.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: It was like haircut roulette.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So I walk in and I'm like, hey, just a little trim, just get the dead ends off.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Ladies like, got it.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And before she gets out a brush to brush it or a comb to part my hair, she just grabs the scissors out and starts cutting.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: No parts, no nothing.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Just starts cutting.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: And I was watching my hair hit the floor like inch by inch by inch by inch, and I was like, wow, we're we're making a wig for somebody else today.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: We're it's a lot, it's not a trim, it's a whole new haircut.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: But at the end of the day, I kind of like it.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, well, that worked out well.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: That does work out perfectly.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: Let me ask you a question because you have a lot of hair.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: And your head too.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: But I know.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: You would think I'm Italian the way I get waxed.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: Right about now, this is happening on her chin.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Oh, I thought you were gonna play.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: I thought you were gonna play the Chewbacca thing.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: You know.
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: Well, that's oh, okay.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: Sonia's got quite a job ahead of her every four weeks.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: So uh let me ask you this.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: Have you ever really cut your hair very short?
- 4:51SPEAKER_03: Oh, no, no.
- 4:52SPEAKER_02: You've never done it?
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: No.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: I think once I kind of got short when I was younger, but I've always had a round face, so I've never gone for that.
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: But I I don't know if I ever told you.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: Why the round face had never gone for that?
- 5:04SPEAKER_03: Is that because it makes it look fatter?
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, I uh look at me.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, how do I know?
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: You know, I just didn't shave my head this morning.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: That's my adventure in in hair.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: It just it it didn't fit.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: For some reason, I've always thought long hair made the face just too pronounced.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: Well, long hair also just makes everything look longer.
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: I don't know what that that maybe that's wrong, but that's what I've always thought in my mind.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: But one time, and this is I wish I would have pursued this career, I was going to have a salon called Hair Disasters.
- 5:35SPEAKER_03: And the reason is one of my best friends his nickname is Disaster, and he would come over and cut my hair, and it kind of was like something you let a guy cut your hair all the time.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: So this was like during you guys remember the emo days of like Blink 182 and Good Charlotte and stuff, where it was kind of like that spiky thing in the back and then that long piece in the front.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: So he would come over and just We call that crooked today.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: Edward Whoa, yeah.
- 5:59SPEAKER_03: He would Edward scissor hands it and and and it looked awesome every single time.
- 6:05SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: I know I told him you should.
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: We actually him and I just talked about this the other day.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: We should have pursued this business venture.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: He could have been the stylist, I would have been the business person, yeah, marketing, things like that.
- 6:15SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: And I think it could have been a huge success.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: I mean, if they can survive at Great Clips over there chopping people's hair off.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: It is hair roulette.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: Uh would you ever go to a salon called Hair Disasters, though?
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: Um If I was of a certain ilk.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: Uh if I was still into emo.
- 6:33SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:34SPEAKER_03: You know, I mean, yeah, maybe.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: You wouldn't bring Lydia to hair disasters.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, probably not.
- 6:38SPEAKER_02: No, we're gonna stay with the old market street.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: Um but I I there is a certain age, it's specifically women, where the hair goes short and it never goes back long.
- 6:48SPEAKER_03: Oh, yes.
- 6:49SPEAKER_03: My mom did have that, but she's kind of growing it all of a sudden.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: Is she coming down?
- 6:55SPEAKER_03: But you're totally right.
- 6:56SPEAKER_02: It's like they all of a sudden reach like it's either you have a baby and you're like, all of it off! Yes, or you reach somewhere in your 45 range and you're like, all of it off! And I'm just curious, did anybody ever do it and completely regret it?
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: I wonder if I had hair down to my lower back.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: And my dumb self decided to cut my hair all the way off to my cheekbones.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: The next day I had cutters remorse.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: I woke up, looked myself in the mirror, and started bawling my eyes out because I had no idea what to do with it, where it went, and then eyeballed and cried.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: Well, it went where you told it to go.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: Well, especially when you show a picture of somebody, maybe it's like the latest Taylor Swift haircut, and it looks great on her, and it just doesn't look good on you.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: This is a phase that uh so many women go through, like I said, right after baby, or uh at somewhere in the forties, you're like, take it off.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: Anybody do it and regret it?
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: I'm just curious.
