- 0:00Speaker 1: Derk Novitski wore forty one for the Dallas Mavericks. This
- 0:04Speaker 1: is episode forty one. Welcome in everybody, and now I
- 0:07Speaker 1: will let Mitch take it away. That's all I got
- 0:09Speaker 1: for the intro.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we have a we don't have I guess, but Ryan,
- 0:13Speaker 2: is this your first time on since calling Jared a bitch?
- 0:18Speaker 3: We have the b Team episode? Yes, and then yeah,
- 0:20Speaker 3: this is the first time after that. So yeah, we
- 0:22Speaker 3: were just marvel he's called up yeah, right, opening day,
- 0:29Speaker 3: opening nights, and opening night.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Right before we started, I was marveling at Ryan's thighs
- 0:36Speaker 2: so bad. Pause, kid got torched? Stand up?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Let's yeah, so hell hell, yeah, shit, I see, I've
- 0:45Speaker 4: seen worse, but like, yeah, you got read.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 3: So I went to Knoxville this past weekend Tennessee. Spent
- 0:54Speaker 3: the weekend there Saturday one on a hike. Did not
- 0:56Speaker 3: get any of this on the hike. Great hike, four miles.
- 0:59Speaker 3: We went to uh out to the Smoky Mountains. Yeah, cove,
- 1:05Speaker 3: coves something.
- 1:05Speaker 4: I don't know once you get out, like pigeon forge
- 1:07Speaker 4: and stuff. I think, yeah, I'm not too far with
- 1:10Speaker 4: all of the hikes, but it.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Was like I think it was called Chimney Rock Trip.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Chimney Rock awesome. I loved it. It was a
- 1:15Speaker 1: great one heard.
- 1:18Speaker 3: About like that whole story with how it burned down
- 1:20Speaker 3: and everything was crazy. And then Sunday we went to
- 1:24Speaker 3: a baseball game, sat right down the first baseline.
- 1:26Speaker 1: How's that you went to the Smokies?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, how's that?
- 1:29Speaker 4: Because that new stadium just got built last year and
- 1:32Speaker 4: it used to be out by Pigeon Ford.
- 1:33Speaker 3: So no, no, no, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Tennessee gotcha even better though, And the new chef.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I was talking to chef, He's like, dude, you gotta
- 1:40Speaker 3: take pictures, show me all about the new like second level.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't been there there, it's great.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I'll show you the pictures after. It looks great there.
- 1:48Speaker 3: But uh yeah, right down the first baseline and sudden
- 1:52Speaker 3: was peaking right over my right shoulder.
- 1:54Speaker 1: My ass got torched a little bass layer.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I was march.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Your boy does not tan at all, Yeah, just just
- 2:03Speaker 3: burns clearly. But uh yes, Sunday night was really rough
- 2:06Speaker 3: driving back here because I was driving back like as
- 2:09Speaker 3: the sun was coming down, so sun's still beaming in.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'm burnt.
- 2:12Speaker 4: I'm like once you once you dig that first sleep too,
- 2:14Speaker 4: when you're burnt and just like it's like a fire
- 2:18Speaker 4: going on underneath your sheets.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So hot. I'm like, I'm caking up in sunscreen so
- 2:23Speaker 1: hard all summer. I don't care. Last year I got
- 2:25Speaker 1: the worst burn in my life and no summer of
- 2:30Speaker 1: the screen. Nope, nope, I'm not getting sun I tried
- 2:33Speaker 1: getting sun ask asked Matt Malone.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I was.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I was tanning at my apartment last year, no sunscreen,
- 2:40Speaker 1: perfect time Prime UV.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Well, yeah, if you're the UV's I didn't.
- 2:44Speaker 1: No, no, no, Prime, it was Prime. It was Prime's
- 2:46Speaker 1: Prime V to you. No, this is it was like
- 2:50Speaker 1: seven or eight, not not the middle of the day.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I'm tanning at the pool, I get no color. I
- 2:55Speaker 1: go to I go to the lake. I put on
- 2:57Speaker 1: some sunscreen. I get just completely wrecked. You know, I
- 3:04Speaker 1: know what the hell's happening to my skin.
- 3:06Speaker 2: It ain't get tanned, so but you know, to reapply
- 3:08Speaker 2: and everything.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I look, man, well does that burn not turn into
- 3:13Speaker 4: like the bass slayer, which it.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Does, but it's not worth it. I'm pale, like I see.
- 3:17Speaker 4: You gotta get through one bad burn of the year
- 3:19Speaker 4: and then it's greatness and beyond D.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I was like yeah, and then it just started like
- 3:24Speaker 1: peeling a little bit, literally tweaking.
- 3:26Speaker 4: IYOCD loves the peel though, because I'm just kind of
- 3:28Speaker 4: I mean, as nasty as it is, I love just
- 3:30Speaker 4: peeling a little Yeah, you kind of rub it and
- 3:32Speaker 4: you're just like.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Just get in the shower and just kind of like this.
- 3:35Speaker 1: And then oh I can feel that motion.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But also like I don't know if I did this
- 3:39Speaker 2: when I was a kid, if I burned like on
- 3:41Speaker 2: my legs, I'll get like tape just kind of put
- 3:43Speaker 2: it on there on like the peeling skin, and just
- 3:45Speaker 2: like pull it off and it looks like the glue,
- 3:48Speaker 2: like when you're peeling glue off or something.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I don't think I've done that one before.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I don't think i've done that one before.
- 3:55Speaker 2: You brought up the Smokies, like the code Ex Smokies. Yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 2: I almost had an intern and ship with them.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Wait, the Kodak Smokies.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Is that that's why are they located in Kodak or
- 4:06Speaker 2: another Knoxville Smokies.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's the Knox It's like a double A team.
- 4:10Speaker 4: It's the Knoxville Smokies. I don't think it's a code.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It could be, I don't know, but it isn't located
- 4:16Speaker 2: in Kodak, Tennessee.
- 4:17Speaker 4: So the original stadium when I was in college was
- 4:20Speaker 4: off the exit the Pigeon Forges, which is where Ryan
- 4:23Speaker 4: went where you go up to like the actual mountains
- 4:25Speaker 4: and where like Dolly Wood and stuff is.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but now they that's like a forty minute drive.
- 4:30Speaker 4: And we would always go on Thursdays because dollar beer
- 4:33Speaker 4: night and you just have some brave soldier who's.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Just willing to drive you back because a forty minute drive. Sorry,
- 4:39Speaker 1: they are in Kodak, Tennessee. They are the Knoxville Smokies,
- 4:44Speaker 1: but they play at the Tennessee Smoky Stadium.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Okay, So Kodak would be like the Pigeon Forge area, yes, correct,
- 4:51Speaker 4: And it was awesome. It was an awesome double a
- 4:53Speaker 4: park because the backdrop was literally just like rolling forest,
- 4:57Speaker 4: which is always a good vibe.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But now, because hey, what's up man Taylo w Taylor
- 5:02Speaker 1: Wan ladies in Gentlemen.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I don't even know if he's on camera, but.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Hey, guys, how are we doing? How about that ride
- 5:10Speaker 1: in Huh? That's why they call it sin City. Uh, Derek,
- 5:14Speaker 1: when you have a minute, I love to chop it
- 5:16Speaker 1: up with you downstairs. Okay, all right, all good things,
- 5:18Speaker 1: all good things, all good things.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Do you want to go down there now? It seems
- 5:22Speaker 4: pressing and he does. He's kind of he kind of
- 5:24Speaker 4: has the higher up on us.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I'll I'll come, I'll come.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Switch all right, we're gonna do a little bit of
- 5:31Speaker 4: a switch up because our humble boss came and needs help.
- 5:35Speaker 1: He needs help.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But yeah, so I'm going back to I originally had
- 5:41Speaker 2: a They offered me the internship at this baseball the
- 5:46Speaker 2: minor league baseball thing, but I was like twelve hundred
- 5:49Speaker 2: bucks a month, and like, I wasn't about to move
- 5:52Speaker 2: all the way down to Tennessee and not be able
- 5:54Speaker 2: to pay rent or just anything like that, and it
- 5:57Speaker 2: kind of seemed like it would have sucked. So yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 2: it's just my story about about the Smokies.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yeah. Now the stadium, luckily is relocated at downtown Knoxville,
- 6:07Speaker 4: so kids don't have to drive drunk.
- 6:09Speaker 1: All the time. So this is this is whose team,
- 6:12Speaker 1: the Knoxville Smokies. It's a double Oh. I think it's
- 6:15Speaker 1: the Cubs because I remember. I'm pretty sure it's the Cubs.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, because I remember like their logo or whatever, having
- 6:20Speaker 2: like something with a C or something Cubs related. Yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 2: And like the project I had to do for him,
- 6:25Speaker 2: I would have been one of those, like one of
- 6:27Speaker 2: the guys that are like hyping up the fans and
- 6:30Speaker 2: just being like the video guy for that. So I
- 6:31Speaker 2: had like a marketing in game entertainment. Yeah, like I
- 6:35Speaker 2: would have literally, so I have a shirt folder at
- 6:38Speaker 2: home and I just had to make like a commercial
- 6:41Speaker 2: infomercial about that. Like that was my project for him,
- 6:44Speaker 2: Like this, Thank god I didn't do that. That would
- 6:47Speaker 2: have sucked.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Minor league baseball What a grind there. There's a when
- 6:53Speaker 1: I was in Oklahoma, Oklahoma City is obviously pretty close
- 6:55Speaker 1: to still Water. The minor league team there's the Oklahoma
- 6:59Speaker 1: City Dodgers, which is the Dodgers affiliate, and like those
- 7:02Speaker 1: games are actually pretty high been if you're ever injured
- 7:05Speaker 1: on the Dodgers, good Oakland City for a little rehab.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You get to see some good players because the Dodgers
- 7:10Speaker 1: have good players.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We have are there because you got trenton right.
- 7:14Speaker 3: So Trent Thunder, I forget. They've kind of flopped around
- 7:17Speaker 3: with like Triple A, Double A, you know witch levels,
- 7:20Speaker 3: which there's like the the Staten Island Yankees, the Rockland Boulders,
- 7:24Speaker 3: the New Jersey Jackals, Somerset Patriots. Though right down the
- 7:28Speaker 3: road from Rutgers and going there. I didn't go to
- 7:31Speaker 3: too many games when I was a student, but when
- 7:33Speaker 3: I worked full time with the football team, there was
- 7:36Speaker 3: I think it was like the first week or two
- 7:37Speaker 3: that I was full time. Garrett Cole he was rehabbing
- 7:42Speaker 3: a little bit, so he came into the season like
- 7:44Speaker 3: a month late so or two months late, so it
- 7:46Speaker 3: was like June and he was making a rehab start
- 7:48Speaker 3: in Double A. It was like five dollars tickets. Me
- 7:50Speaker 3: and my buddies went. They were like, you were saying,
- 7:53Speaker 3: like two dollars beers, two dollars hot dogs.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yep.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Literally through three innings.
- 7:56Speaker 3: After the third inning, everybody left.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Were so funny. We have the Reading Phillies and like
- 8:02Speaker 2: the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. But I played in in
- 8:07Speaker 2: high school like our counties, like our baseball tournament counties
- 8:10Speaker 2: was on the Reading Philly Stadium or in the Reading
- 8:12Speaker 2: Philly Stadium. It's like the coolest thing of all time,
- 8:15Speaker 2: Like we were like under the stadium taking VP and stuff.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It was sick like this, like I made it. I
- 8:20Speaker 2: made the coolest play of my life too.
- 8:21Speaker 1: The Rangers double a in Frisco, which is very close
- 8:25Speaker 1: to Arlington, the Frisco Rough Riders. I have not been
- 8:29Speaker 1: there since I was little, but I think nowadays their
- 8:32Speaker 1: ballpark has a lazy river in the outfield. Did you
- 8:35Speaker 1: know there's some Major League parks like the Diamondbacks of
- 8:38Speaker 1: a pool. I think the Brewers might have one, yeah
- 8:41Speaker 1: slide at least, so like everyone's got these gimmicks. The
- 8:44Speaker 1: Frisco Rough Riders have a lazy river, which is insane
- 8:47Speaker 1: right and probably needed in the summer in Texas for sure.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I feel like they'd be such a big appeal for
- 8:52Speaker 4: minor league teams. Yeah, where it's just really low stakes
- 8:56Speaker 4: fan like viewing.
- 8:57Speaker 3: It's like a family event.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like you're not, like majority of people who
- 9:00Speaker 4: are there are not upset really if your team's losing.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm sure there are.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I don't want a dog any like huge sounds fans
- 9:06Speaker 4: you know from our local market, but I do know
- 9:08Speaker 4: that I would be very inclined to go to a
- 9:11Speaker 4: game if there's a lazy river waiting for me. But
- 9:13Speaker 4: I do love the Sounds game everything. It's every I
- 9:16Speaker 4: don't know if it's once a month on a Thursday,
- 9:19Speaker 4: but they do four dollars tall boys and like two
- 9:21Speaker 4: dollars hot dogs, and if you give me a deal
- 9:24Speaker 4: on beers and brats, it's it's.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Over for me.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I feel like Triple A is kind of different too,
- 9:29Speaker 2: because like those guys are actually the.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Double A is pure love for the.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Game, pure love for the game, cheap beer, just you know,
- 9:38Speaker 4: a good ride.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Brooks like best best friend from college. Her husband is
- 9:44Speaker 2: now on the Reading Phillies and we drove out there
- 9:47Speaker 2: last year when he was uh, I think he was
- 9:50Speaker 2: a part of the Mariner still and he played in
- 9:52Speaker 2: Little Rock, Arkansas. We drove all the way out there
- 9:55Speaker 2: and got to see him pitch, like it was cool
- 9:57Speaker 2: and everything. But I'm like, there is nothing out here.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Living out here must suck and like both like the
- 10:04Speaker 2: wife and the husband, they're both from like Santa Monica, California,
- 10:07Speaker 2: where one of the most beautiful places in the country,
- 10:10Speaker 2: and now they're in a little Rock just chasing and.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Guess what when you're not playing at home, you're on
- 10:14Speaker 1: the road in another ship waits in the middle of nowhere.
- 10:17Speaker 1: There's a there's a minor league ball bark in Biloxi.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Ye.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Then he played for he played for them to Yeah, like.
- 10:26Speaker 1: The baseball is it's it's such an insane system we
- 10:30Speaker 1: have there.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I don't know if they're if it's independent ball, but
- 10:33Speaker 2: like if you're in the Lancaster Barnstormers. Yeah, a kid
- 10:35Speaker 2: that I went to high school with and I was
- 10:37Speaker 2: actually really close with, but kind of he got drafted.
- 10:42Speaker 2: He made actually start for the Rangers five like starts.
- 10:44Speaker 2: His name is a j Alexi for real. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I went to high school with him and like we
- 10:51Speaker 2: were like best friends in high school and then he
- 10:54Speaker 2: got drafted by the Dodge Dodgers and then was a
- 10:56Speaker 2: part of the U Darvish trade from the Dodgers to
- 10:59Speaker 2: the Rangers. You Darvist, And he eventually made a start
- 11:03Speaker 2: and like I that he like got too big time
- 11:05Speaker 2: and like, but he's now plays for Lancaster barn Stormers
- 11:09Speaker 2: just like a just an independent indie ball where it's
- 11:12Speaker 2: like not affiliated with any team, but talk about love
- 11:14Speaker 2: for the game, like that's literally all it is. Yeah,
- 11:17Speaker 2: there's nothing. It's like it's lower than banana ball.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Now there's at least yeah popularity.
- 11:24Speaker 2: There's a kid that I actually played against in high school.
- 11:28Speaker 2: You don't like banana ball a baseball purist, but I
- 11:32Speaker 2: mean knocked the hustle, like they sell out everywhere they go.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's just not for me. But I actually don't mind.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I actually really would you go if like they were
- 11:41Speaker 2: they were they.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Were Nissan Stadium around this time last year.
- 11:44Speaker 4: I'm looking. I played like t ball and like up
- 11:48Speaker 4: till middle school. But if I played competitive baseball, I
- 11:52Speaker 4: absolutely would be on the side of coop. As a
- 11:54Speaker 4: baseball purist, there's some like I like that they're getting
- 11:58Speaker 4: a younger generation in there and selling tickets and like
- 12:00Speaker 4: having fun with it. But if that was my sport
- 12:04Speaker 4: then I grew up loving, I would consider it.
- 12:06Speaker 1: It's like it's yeah, it's been butchered, dancing on the mound. Yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 1: there's just it's just not for me. It's just not
- 12:12Speaker 1: for me. There's a there's a crowd for it there
- 12:14Speaker 1: the crowd, maybe one percent of them like real baseball.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I definitely see you. I see where
- 12:22Speaker 2: you're coming. From in the sense of like hating it
- 12:25Speaker 2: and like the TikTok stuff, the TikTok dances and ship
- 12:28Speaker 2: like that does get annoying. It's like, but like the
- 12:30Speaker 2: trick plays and the ship that they're able to do
- 12:32Speaker 2: like they.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Are trick plays, I'm in for it, especially if like
- 12:35Speaker 4: a foul ball goes out and an audience member catches it,
- 12:38Speaker 4: it's like an.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Out as well.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I kind of I like that concept, like I.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Can get behind that, but it is it's the dancing,
- 12:44Speaker 4: but I mean even it's very athletic in my opinion,
- 12:47Speaker 4: all like the backflip catches and like the umps are
- 12:50Speaker 4: thrown out round offs, and yeah, I can get behind
- 12:52Speaker 4: some of it, but it's not something that I'm going
- 12:55Speaker 4: to go spend my weekend doing. But I'm not gonna
- 12:57Speaker 4: sit from the sidelines and just be like this is
- 13:00Speaker 4: a travesty.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Yeah I can't.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I mean, like it's not for me. I'm but I'm
- 13:04Speaker 1: not ten anymore. So like who knows, maybe I would
- 13:07Speaker 1: have probably not.
- 13:08Speaker 2: But a kid I played against in high school is
- 13:12Speaker 2: now on like it's in banana bon on. I don't
- 13:15Speaker 2: know what it is. He won the College World Series
- 13:18Speaker 2: Home on Derby, Like I think, like a year or
- 13:20Speaker 2: two after Aaron Judge. His name is Nico hole Seizer.
- 13:23Speaker 2: He went to Morehead State. He like just hits nukes.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Do you know much money these guys are pulling in?
- 13:28Speaker 2: Like do you know?
- 13:30Speaker 1: I don't no, no, no, no, banana ball, you know what
- 13:34Speaker 1: I want to know? I want to know what the
- 13:35Speaker 1: opposing team because they're all just ponds, right.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I feel like it's guys. It's kind of like the
- 13:40Speaker 2: Harlem Globetrotters in the sense of like they travel with
- 13:42Speaker 2: it like that the team is the team.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but like they're the ones that everyone like, yeah, you.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Know, I feel like seventy thousand a year if.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Again, I have no idea.
- 13:53Speaker 4: If you're getting seventy k to go out and play
- 13:56Speaker 4: for sold out stadiums across the nation.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Good on you. That's fire. But I don't know.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Speaking of baseball purity, though, we do have two big
- 14:06Speaker 4: baseball heads being Ryan and Kup.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm loving this baseball time right now, and this was
- 14:11Speaker 1: I'm already thinking of thumbnail is baseball?
- 14:14Speaker 2: I think I was already thinking of a title we
- 14:16Speaker 2: hate banana Ball?
- 14:18Speaker 4: Well, we got we have Opening Day that just happened
- 14:21Speaker 4: technically yesterday. It's recording on Wednesday, but this is Friday
- 14:24Speaker 4: when it comes out. So Yankees fan and Rangers fan,
- 14:27Speaker 4: do we have any kind of update, any kind of
- 14:29Speaker 4: optimism scared?
- 14:31Speaker 1: What's it look like this season for you guys? Yeah,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'll start because you know everyone knows the Yankees. Let
- 14:38Speaker 1: me let you. I'll let you. And almost happening in
- 14:40Speaker 1: Texas right before the season starts. I owe that is
- 14:46Speaker 1: like when optimism is at the highest, because the last
- 14:51Speaker 1: two years the Rangers have not been able to hit
- 14:53Speaker 1: the baseball. The year before that they hit the fuck
- 14:56Speaker 1: out of the baseball. I'm starting to think maybe these
- 14:59Speaker 1: fuckers were cheating, but they cut a lot of the
- 15:02Speaker 1: fat that you're gonna have a good lineup this year.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'm I'm just like drinking the kool aid. I think
- 15:07Speaker 1: the Rangers are gonna be good this year. Surprise a
- 15:10Speaker 1: lot of people because no one's really expecting anything. And
- 15:14Speaker 1: I don't even know where I'm going with this, but
- 15:16Speaker 1: just look out for the Rangers if you wanna. If
- 15:18Speaker 1: you want to pick up a team this year, might
- 15:20Speaker 1: be the Rangers, sneaky AO West champion. Actually, but who
- 15:24Speaker 1: else is in the ol West, the Aos. So the
- 15:26Speaker 1: Mariners will be good. The Astros are the Astros, but
- 15:29Speaker 1: you know they're kinda they're kind of falling off. The
- 15:31Speaker 1: Angels are gonna be awful. The Athletics are gonna sneak
- 15:35Speaker 1: some people because they're they have a bunch of good
- 15:37Speaker 1: players all the time for whatever reason. But they're actually
- 15:39Speaker 1: just dog shit. There's I mean the West.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they're such bullshit nowadays because.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Like Banana B doesn't like MLB.
- 15:53Speaker 2: No, I just think I hate the fact and I
- 15:56Speaker 2: see where the players are coming from. But like the
- 15:59Speaker 2: Pirates have Paul Skins and then we know in two
- 16:02Speaker 2: or three years, he's gonna be on the Dodgers. Yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 2: he's gonna be on the Yankees. He's going to be
- 16:06Speaker 2: on one of these. Like I think I just think
- 16:09Speaker 2: it's bad for baseball or I just don't think it's
- 16:11Speaker 2: really fair that like Shoheo Tani's contract is all deferred basically, yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 2: it's deferred, but he's getting paid more than the entire
- 16:20Speaker 2: Pittsburgh organization. Yeah, the entire Athletics organizationally, I think that
- 16:25Speaker 2: is you know, you're going to see the same eight
- 16:28Speaker 2: teams in the Playoffs that you know that eventually it's
- 16:31Speaker 2: gonna be the Dodgers and whoever the fuck else in
- 16:34Speaker 2: the World Series, And it just makes it uninteresting because I.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Will I will say as much as that is like
- 16:38Speaker 1: a a real thing and it's not really even recent.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I was gonna say it's the Dodgers are more recent
- 16:44Speaker 1: development because they're back to back, uh, but like that's
- 16:48Speaker 1: kind of always been a thing, and yet there's always
- 16:50Speaker 1: so much parody in baseball. Out of nowhere, there'll be
- 16:52Speaker 1: a team, like.
- 16:53Speaker 3: When the Royals were good and then all of a
- 16:55Speaker 3: sudden they just the next year they weren't.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I mean the Rangers and they're in
- 16:58Speaker 1: twenty twenty three were coming off one hundred lost season
- 17:02Speaker 1: two seasons before, which is just not good. And then
- 17:05Speaker 1: you know they had the best offense in like statistically
- 17:07Speaker 1: in league history through the first three months of season,
- 17:10Speaker 1: Like what the hell's happening? Baseball is just like it's
- 17:13Speaker 1: like any other sport, like you can get hot, you
- 17:15Speaker 1: can you can win. I mean, even the Dodgers, they
- 17:18Speaker 1: should have lost Game seven last year. They had a
- 17:21Speaker 1: their nine hole hitter hit a two run home run
- 17:24Speaker 1: to tie and go to extras like the Blue Jays winning,
- 17:27Speaker 1: Like who's you know? I mean they're good, but who's
- 17:29Speaker 1: expecting that? But it is like very much the Yankees
- 17:31Speaker 1: have always been the Yankees. The Dodgers have money. I'm
- 17:34Speaker 1: kind of a little lucky. The Rangers have some money.
- 17:37Speaker 1: They're kind of spending it.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But it's just frustrating it Like it.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Would suck to be like a lower market team, a
- 17:43Speaker 1: lower market team.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I mean, it's inevitable that that's gonna happen.
- 17:47Speaker 1: It's inevitable. I don't think I'm not against it.
- 17:49Speaker 3: I think that there's like a good chance that there
- 17:52Speaker 3: is no season next.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Oh, the lockouts coming, the lockouts coming.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not going to be good.
- 17:59Speaker 1: But as fucked his baseball seems it's it feels like
- 18:02Speaker 1: the popularity has been going up the last few years.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I think a lot of that is because of Sho
- 18:06Speaker 1: so then they'll be could give less of a World
- 18:08Speaker 1: Baseball Classic. Last two go rounds have been like huge.
- 18:12Speaker 2: They need to get a new commissioner because he yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I don't like I remember like watching Pat McAfee like
- 18:17Speaker 2: years ago, and like he was talking about how the
- 18:20Speaker 2: MLB commissioner literally called the trophy just a piece of metal.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Rob Manfred is universally hated.
- 18:25Speaker 2: He I think people like said probably saying I wouldn't diube.
- 18:28Speaker 2: He's the worst major sports commissioner.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Nothing about like he is.
- 18:34Speaker 2: It's just bad he is. But that was also when
- 18:37Speaker 2: like baseball kind of seemed like he was in a
- 18:38Speaker 2: bad place like four or five, six years ago. So
- 18:41Speaker 2: I could be wrong, but I mean, I don't know.
- 18:43Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think. I think that opinion on
- 18:45Speaker 3: him is still like that. He's not like, yeah, a
- 18:48Speaker 3: lot of commissioners aren't. It's like what happens with that job, but.
- 18:52Speaker 1: He's Manfred's getting a little lucky with players like Judge
- 18:55Speaker 1: and Otani getting so big, and there's always been good players,
- 18:58Speaker 1: but I mean Tani is, like.
- 19:00Speaker 4: I mean, for me, is someone who's like a very
- 19:02Speaker 4: baseball casual, Like there's no way to not view some
- 19:06Speaker 4: of the things that are happening.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Because of these specific guys in the sport.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and so it's impressive when like, I don't know,
- 19:12Speaker 4: I don't necessarily have such a fandom for baseball and
- 19:15Speaker 4: I don't like follow it. Come October, like I'm gonna
- 19:17Speaker 4: tune into the games, and like, I enjoy the World
- 19:19Speaker 4: Series for what it is in the spectacle of sport,
- 19:22Speaker 4: But when you've got choey Otani's out there like throwing.
- 19:26Speaker 4: I mean I saw a stat said his for this
- 19:30Speaker 4: year he should be on pace because of last year
- 19:32Speaker 4: to at least do one hundred home runs in fifty k's.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Does that make sense? I think that's the what over
- 19:37Speaker 1: two seasons? It flip fifty on runs one hundred k's. Yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I just and again like flip oh yeah, I'm like, damn,
- 19:44Speaker 1: let him juice if he's home one hundred home runs.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I mean he did fifty to fifty.
- 19:49Speaker 3: He was the first person ever to do hit fifty
- 19:51Speaker 3: home runs and fifty seals in the same season, right,
- 19:54Speaker 3: I think.
- 19:54Speaker 1: It was there.
- 19:54Speaker 3: I mean he definitely had thirty seventy. Yeah, and this
- 19:57Speaker 3: guy's like a say, young caliber pitcher. I mean, it's
- 20:00Speaker 3: insane that that happens. It's like what everyone thinks of
- 20:03Speaker 3: Babe Ruth, you know, because obviously he's the outfield of
- 20:06Speaker 3: that hit nukes, but like he pitched to it first.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I mean, it's insane.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Has been a breadth of fresh air because a lot
- 20:14Speaker 1: of MLB superstars Mike Trout one of the best baseball
- 20:17Speaker 1: players ever. Uh, just like very low key, not really. No.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Baseball's had a lot of superstars kind of be under
- 20:23Speaker 1: the radar, you know, about their business, but having a
- 20:27Speaker 1: global icon like show Hay has been massive.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I don't know if this is a hot take, and
- 20:31Speaker 2: then we can get into your outlook for the Yankees.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Do you think I like, I'm in the stance of
- 20:38Speaker 2: like I couldn't easily play baseball back and back way
- 20:41Speaker 2: back when when like Babe Ruth was playing.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, like players today would destroy players back then.
- 20:48Speaker 2: But I think like the casual person I even think
- 20:50Speaker 2: sometimes would like that with football, But then you think
- 20:52Speaker 2: of like Chuck bed and Erik and just mean Joe
- 20:54Speaker 2: Green and people like that. But like I am in
- 20:56Speaker 2: the firm stance of like I could have played major
- 20:59Speaker 2: League baseball back then.
- 21:00Speaker 1: It's funny because I don't disagree with that at all.
- 21:02Speaker 3: I don't.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Part of me doesn't disagree with it, but other.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I just don't know. I wasn't bad.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I feel like some of them, I don't know how
- 21:08Speaker 1: they really were. I know they weren't throwing that fast.
- 21:11Speaker 3: We're going out there every day throwing a hundred pitches
- 21:13Speaker 3: and then would go the next.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Day like page throw it like through like a thousand
- 21:19Speaker 2: pitches in one week.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and they were smoking cigs and chugging beards. It's
- 21:22Speaker 1: like you're lucky.
- 21:23Speaker 3: I'm trying to think how long it would take someone
- 21:25Speaker 3: to throw a thousand pitches.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Now, I think that maybe an exact I mean even
- 21:29Speaker 2: if not he like would throw a hundred fifty pitches
- 21:32Speaker 2: next day he's out.
- 21:32Speaker 3: There were people who threw like fifteen in incomplete games.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, that's ridiculous.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, No, I think like athletes today could definitely
- 21:42Speaker 1: if you just dropped them in compete and said.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I'm not even I'm saying yeah, athletes for sure would
- 21:47Speaker 2: tank them. I'm saying regular if.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You pick up the average show off the.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Street, like the kid you played in high school, like
- 21:53Speaker 2: high schoolers now could play back then, and I think
- 21:55Speaker 2: would hold their own.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah I don't. I don't disagree with that. My boy
- 21:58Speaker 1: Brian Reynolds could definitely play. Brian Reynolds can definitely play now,
- 22:03Speaker 1: so like yeah, well yeah, I mean I think like
- 22:07Speaker 1: baseball might be the biggest example, because you can say
- 22:09Speaker 1: that about all sports baseball to me, all the old
- 22:12Speaker 1: footage just like it is. So the game was very
- 22:15Speaker 1: much it's like very similar but very slow. Like the
- 22:20Speaker 1: pitching now is just insane.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you got Skins toopping out at one
- 22:23Speaker 2: o three and then you got another guy, your closer
- 22:26Speaker 2: comes in at one o five and it's like not.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Touching it and that's just and that's just the heater,
- 22:30Speaker 1: like all the all the movement on the pitches now they.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Have Skins can make a one o three fastball, you know,
- 22:36Speaker 3: you can pitch that one next pitch you're thinking it's
- 22:39Speaker 3: a fastball, and then it's a splitter all of a sudden,
- 22:41Speaker 3: and it looks the exact same until you go to swing.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And then it just drops. Like that's just not Yeah
- 22:48Speaker 1: that I wish when we get to Heaven, can we
- 22:53Speaker 1: just say, hey, let's let's run a game where all
- 22:56Speaker 1: these old timers on all these new timers just play
- 22:58Speaker 1: at their means and let's see how this really have gone.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I feel like I gotta see it.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Baseball.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I feel like baseball, football. I feel like the two
- 23:05Speaker 2: sports where there would be a massive like disparity, I
- 23:08Speaker 2: think hockey and basketball. I feel like would be closer,
- 23:13Speaker 2: if that makes sense.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know about basketball. That one's interly because
- 23:16Speaker 1: this was shooting threes that.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Always you're like you're there playing against plumbers, and you know,
- 23:20Speaker 4: I don't know, I feel like those.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Kind of Yeah, part of me disagrees with the baseball
- 23:29Speaker 3: thing because when you look at like baseball versus basketball,
- 23:32Speaker 3: it is so it's so much more athletically demanding playing basketball,
- 23:36Speaker 3: and obviously these athletes are so much better now with
- 23:38Speaker 3: all the technology and everything. It's like, you know, the
- 23:42Speaker 3: MJ and Lebron, but it's like you put you put
- 23:46Speaker 3: Wemby in a game in the nineteen sixties. I think
- 23:48Speaker 3: people are gonna legitimately I think he's an alien.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Probably there was like will will who else? Fucking Bill Russell?
- 23:57Speaker 2: Who else? Was like Bob Coosey, Yeah all Jason.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Williams, I mean ship like, damn, we're skipping around now.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I really think it would be insane for andy'sport. I
- 24:07Speaker 1: see your point on baseball. My whole thing with baseball
- 24:10Speaker 1: isn't even like the athletes thing. It's just the pitching
- 24:13Speaker 1: now and the it's just like different, it's different for everything.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But I definitely think like a good athlete today, high
- 24:20Speaker 1: school athlete could hold their own back. You're seeing the
- 24:23Speaker 1: same speed pitches in high school, Yeah, with a better
- 24:27Speaker 1: movement on it.
- 24:28Speaker 2: The travel ball and stuff that they're like, the travel
- 24:30Speaker 2: ball is probably comparable to what it is called.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Is America's past like it was a pastime now it
- 24:36Speaker 1: is like like people are from the womb.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Yeah, like prospects, which is I.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Mean there's minor leaguers that are fourteen or signed to
- 24:46Speaker 3: contract something. Yeah, Jason Domingos, current Yankee, was on a
- 24:49Speaker 3: Yankees contract at sixteen years old.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Back then that ship was for fun.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Wonder Franco.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Wonder Franco. Yeah, well, wonder what he's Wonder what he's doing.
- 24:58Speaker 2: He's in jail, yea, I wonder what he's doing.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Like in jail.
- 25:04Speaker 2: What's your outlook for the Yankees?
- 25:06Speaker 3: Uh, I mean it's like I'm lucky enough. Yeah, it's
- 25:09Speaker 3: like World Series or bust.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Honestly, I mean.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Didn't have many changes going into the offseason or in
- 25:16Speaker 3: the offseason. Resigned Cody Bellinger, which I'm hype about. Aaron
- 25:19Speaker 3: Judge is the best hitter in baseball. I mean, hoping
- 25:23Speaker 3: for a fourth MVP from him. He can facilitate enough
- 25:28Speaker 3: around him to where it's like, if he's in the
- 25:31Speaker 3: lineup he's healthy, Like twenty twenty two, we were gonna
- 25:34Speaker 3: be one of the best al teams. He gets hurt,
- 25:37Speaker 3: the whole thing falls apart. But it's like you have
- 25:39Speaker 3: that one stud in your lineup and people will find
- 25:42Speaker 3: whisk contribute. John carlos Sten I don't know if you
- 25:45Speaker 3: guys saw this. He's trying to play all whatever, one
- 25:48Speaker 3: hundred and sixty two games. He's gonna say that right.
- 25:51Speaker 1: He can't.
- 25:51Speaker 3: He has tennis elbow. In both his elbows. He can't
- 25:54Speaker 3: open a bag of chips. But he's gonna try to
- 25:57Speaker 3: hit fifty home runs this year.
- 25:58Speaker 2: How did you get it in both elbow?
- 26:01Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I don't know he didn't.
- 26:03Speaker 3: He's just he's always got injury concerns. But I mean,
- 26:07Speaker 3: top to bottom, I I love our squad. Pitching rotation
- 26:11Speaker 3: is great, Garrit Cole, I mean Max freed Rodin heel Schlitler, Uh,
- 26:18Speaker 3: Coop and I were talking the other day. Cam Schlittler
- 26:20Speaker 3: is the Boston guy who's the Yankees pitcher. Pitched Game
- 26:24Speaker 3: three of that Wildcard series when the Yankees game was
- 26:27Speaker 3: on in the stream we were it was like a
- 26:29Speaker 3: football stream. It was like his debut, playoff debut fourteen
- 26:32Speaker 3: k sat the Red Sox down. So that fires me
- 26:35Speaker 3: up to see what he'll be like this year. But
- 26:37Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, World Series or bust. If we don't
- 26:39Speaker 3: get a ring.
- 26:39Speaker 1: The Rangers, Yankees ALCS is gonna go hard.
- 26:43Speaker 3: So all I know is Won Soto's crying every night
- 26:46Speaker 3: wishing that he stayed with the Yankees. But hey man,
- 26:49Speaker 3: you want more money, so take it.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Playoff baseball is it's up there.
- 26:53Speaker 1: It's my favorite.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Dude.
- 26:54Speaker 1: The crowd pops for a home run, the lindor yeah,
- 27:00Speaker 1: all of them game tying home out.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I just I my first year here, like working here.
- 27:09Speaker 2: I kind of hated it in Nashville, and that was
- 27:11Speaker 2: when the Phillies were making their World Series playoff run
- 27:14Speaker 2: and like all my friends back home, we're like going
- 27:18Speaker 2: to the Phillies games. I'm like, I kind of want
- 27:22Speaker 2: to go back to Philly, yeah, and like move but
- 27:25Speaker 2: then that was very short lived. Yeah, but like just
- 27:29Speaker 2: the atmosphere around playoff baseball and like it's it's.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Sick because it's so fun to be at those games too.
- 27:35Speaker 3: And I mean this is all baseball in general, kind
- 27:36Speaker 3: of like what we were saying before with minor league baseball.
- 27:40Speaker 3: It's like you go to the game obviously to have
- 27:42Speaker 3: fun to watch baseball, but it's like you don't really
- 27:45Speaker 3: care about what's happening in the game, and the game
- 27:46Speaker 3: is so slow paced anyway, even with the pitch clock,
- 27:50Speaker 3: that it's like the four of us could be having
- 27:52Speaker 3: this exact conversation right now and not miss a beat
- 27:54Speaker 3: about what's happening on the baseball.
- 27:56Speaker 2: You just hear that was a follotball, get back to
- 27:58Speaker 2: the conversation.
- 27:59Speaker 3: But MLB, I mean, obviously it's like that too, And
- 28:02Speaker 3: so that's why I love going to baseball games. It's
- 28:04Speaker 3: like you enjoy that atmosphere. Day game, night game, doesn't
- 28:06Speaker 3: really matter. You guys can go with the boys, get
- 28:09Speaker 3: those two dollars beers, two dollars hot dogs, and just
- 28:13Speaker 3: vibe out and.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Not miss anything to day the ballpark is awesome.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, playing it, like, I mean, it goes with anything
- 28:18Speaker 2: but playing base Like I can't stand watching baseball now,
- 28:22Speaker 2: but I loved playing it oh so much. Like in granted,
- 28:25Speaker 2: that's I feel like with any sport. Yeah, but like
- 28:28Speaker 2: I loved playing baseball and then now just watching it,
- 28:32Speaker 2: like thinking of when I have If I have a
- 28:34Speaker 2: son and I have to go to all of his
- 28:36Speaker 2: travel games and just sit there.
- 28:37Speaker 3: You gotta be coaching, sitting in the dugout whe your
- 28:39Speaker 3: son's team is in the field because the pitcher can't
- 28:41Speaker 3: throw strikes and you're losing by ten. Yeah, and the
- 28:43Speaker 3: fielders are out there for twenty minutes.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Those are some of my worst sports.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Watching baseball. Though it ranges by one hundred and sixty
- 28:51Speaker 1: two games, I will probably watch one hundred and forty
- 28:53Speaker 1: of them.
- 28:54Speaker 2: That's so crazy.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I like to watch them.
- 28:57Speaker 2: So Jack, how was Vegas and let's not in a Vegas?
- 29:00Speaker 1: Uh? Vegas was good?
- 29:02Speaker 4: Man profitable? I'm always gotta go to Vegas without Taylor
- 29:05Speaker 4: and still know you have it. I gotta shout out
- 29:08Speaker 4: my boy, Avery Freeze, the guru at the guru on
- 29:11Speaker 4: Twitter if you want good plays. He has a model
- 29:14Speaker 4: built on gambling and it is very impressive the stats
- 29:18Speaker 4: that go in behind it and all the analytics. But
- 29:21Speaker 4: I want to say he was up like twenty two
- 29:23Speaker 4: and a half units over the weekend alone in March
- 29:25Speaker 4: Madness and my buddy Avery went to Texas and it
- 29:29Speaker 4: was me and four of my buddies, a group here
- 29:31Speaker 4: in Nashville that we went to high school with Avery,
- 29:34Speaker 4: and we were going to meet essentially all of the
- 29:37Speaker 4: guys that he has essentially replaced us with through college
- 29:40Speaker 4: and we as bad friends. Never went to visit Texas
- 29:44Speaker 4: and haven't been to Dallas postgrad. So it was a
- 29:47Speaker 4: very interesting dynamic going into the weekend because you never
- 29:50Speaker 4: know if you're all gonna mesh well, and then if
- 29:52Speaker 4: you're gonna kind of be like your own little small group,
- 29:54Speaker 4: and like there's like a group of fifteen guys that
- 29:56Speaker 4: like all have been like, you know, cutting teeth with
- 29:58Speaker 4: each other for the last ten years, and you're kind
- 30:01Speaker 4: of the autumn out could not have gone better. All
- 30:03Speaker 4: of his boys, awesome guys. Got to hang out with
- 30:06Speaker 4: a ton of them. And the wedding is in two weeks.
- 30:09Speaker 4: I've realized something. I feel like years ago it was
- 30:13Speaker 4: very common to have a bachelor party and then you
- 30:15Speaker 4: get married like six months to a year later, And
- 30:19Speaker 4: because this bachelor party just happened this past weekend, the
- 30:21Speaker 4: wedding is in a week and a half, two weeks,
- 30:25Speaker 4: in Dallas. I kind of love it because you still
- 30:27Speaker 4: have that momentum going from the bachelor party all the
- 30:30Speaker 4: new guys you just met. It's not like a, oh, hey,
- 30:32Speaker 4: what's up, Like fuck, what is that guy's name? I
- 30:35Speaker 4: feel like everyone's not gonna skip a beat when we
- 30:36Speaker 4: get there. So very excited for that wedding. But dude,
- 30:39Speaker 4: going to Vegas during March madness, as stressful as it
- 30:43Speaker 4: may sound, is so much fun. You just can't go
- 30:46Speaker 4: wrong everywhere that you go. Obviously, there's games on everywhere,
- 30:49Speaker 4: and you can gamble if you want on the games.
- 30:51Speaker 4: You can go to the tables, you can go to
- 30:52Speaker 4: the pools. We had a really good weather weekend Sonny.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Hot as hell. I think it was like got up.
- 30:57Speaker 4: To ninety eight ninety nine one day, And that was
- 31:01Speaker 4: my first time ever going or experiencing a Vegas pool party.
- 31:04Speaker 4: And I go to Vegas constantly and been gone for
- 31:06Speaker 4: the last three years. So to see the other side
- 31:10Speaker 4: of like, how like really traditional Vegas works. Man, it's
- 31:13Speaker 4: a blast, especially the pool parties. If like that's the
- 31:16Speaker 4: way to go. I am in my old age of
- 31:18Speaker 4: thirty one. Now I've lost all desire for clubbing. Like
- 31:22Speaker 4: every now and again, I'll go to bars and stuff,
- 31:24Speaker 4: like I don't actively seek out to like go to
- 31:27Speaker 4: a place with like crazy loud music where you're having
- 31:29Speaker 4: to scream at your boys. You know you're paying fifteen
- 31:32Speaker 4: hundred dollars whatever, it still would be fun. But if
- 31:35Speaker 4: I'm in Vegas, I'm gonna go gamble, and dude, we
- 31:39Speaker 4: had so much fun of these pool parties. We just
- 31:41Speaker 4: had the best service. It's just a good overall hang
- 31:45Speaker 4: and it felt like everyone for the most part. I'm
- 31:47Speaker 4: sure there's a couple of stragglers that weren't as loud
- 31:50Speaker 4: as us, but we all came back positive, which with
- 31:53Speaker 4: a group of seventeen guys, I believe it's tough to
- 31:56Speaker 4: come back when majority of people came back winning.
- 31:59Speaker 1: And it just gave me that itch that.
- 32:02Speaker 4: When I go to Vegas it's typically for work stuff,
- 32:04Speaker 4: and so to get to go there and just like
- 32:06Speaker 4: kick back, drink all weekend, gamble, be it degenerate. It
- 32:10Speaker 4: was absolutely a pleasure. So shout out Avery and all
- 32:12Speaker 4: the fellas from Texas. Can't wait to see you guys.
- 32:16Speaker 4: A couple of them are like pretty big busting fans too,
- 32:18Speaker 4: which was funny and like, you know, they're like giving
- 32:20Speaker 4: me shit and like oh you think you're famous, like
- 32:22Speaker 4: you know, like really getting in my grill and I'm like,
- 32:25Speaker 4: this is what I want, Like I don't want it
- 32:27Speaker 4: to be.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Some weird like kind of like ah, so like how's this?
- 32:30Speaker 1: How's that?
- 32:31Speaker 4: Like?
- 32:31Speaker 1: It was like a meaty like one of my boys
- 32:33Speaker 1: just grilling me. So we had a blast.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Man.
- 32:35Speaker 1: I can't wait to go back already.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Don't know when that'll be, but yeah, Vegas has my
- 32:40Speaker 4: heart always will it was.
- 32:42Speaker 1: We stayed in airbnb too. It was sweet.
- 32:44Speaker 4: I don't really do that route either, and I feel
- 32:45Speaker 4: like most people when they go there, you stay in
- 32:47Speaker 4: like casino hotel. But if you're going out there with
- 32:50Speaker 4: a big group of guys, do not discount an airbnb.
- 32:54Speaker 4: There are a lot of good options. We had a
- 32:56Speaker 4: really fun time, especially.
- 32:57Speaker 2: With seventeen guys. You can make that airbnb cheap.
- 32:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I will say this the only mistake I made,
- 33:02Speaker 4: and it wasn't even a mistake, but it was truly
- 33:04Speaker 4: one of the most difficult travel days of my life.
- 33:06Speaker 4: I have the six forty five am flight because I'd
- 33:08Speaker 4: rather be back at noon than to get back at
- 33:10Speaker 4: five pm, and then you kind of just get back
- 33:12Speaker 4: and it's like do I stay up for a couple
- 33:13Speaker 4: hours even though I'm dead tired, or do I fall
- 33:15Speaker 4: asleep right now risk waking up at two am. I
- 33:19Speaker 4: just stayed up all night Saturday, and when I left,
- 33:22Speaker 4: guys were still party in our airbnb, like probably well
- 33:24Speaker 4: after I'd taken off. Man, I got just incredibly nauseous
- 33:30Speaker 4: and dizzy, and I was sweating out of every pore
- 33:33Speaker 4: on my body, and I just remember being like half conscious,
- 33:38Speaker 4: half unconscious, just like shaking in my yell on the
- 33:41Speaker 4: plane back and just like I'm like, oh my god,
- 33:44Speaker 4: we four hours left, and thankfully, you know, after whoever,
- 33:47Speaker 4: I don't know how long it was that I was hallucinating,
- 33:50Speaker 4: but finally just woke up in Nashville and then had
- 33:53Speaker 4: a pretty big rest day on Sunday, which was nice.
- 33:55Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I'm always in for getting back at least at noon,
- 33:59Speaker 4: then to get back at night. I mean, Broad's who
- 34:02Speaker 4: many of you guys know. He didn't come back till
- 34:05Speaker 4: last night, so he was in Vegas. He went and
- 34:08Speaker 4: stayed at the Red Rock because he's went and gambled
- 34:10Speaker 4: there with me before, so they gave him I think
- 34:13Speaker 4: it was three nights to stay in like eight hundred
- 34:16Speaker 4: dollars free play to just like do whatever he wanted.
- 34:19Speaker 1: He said.
- 34:19Speaker 4: He ended up putting like four hundred fifty bucks in
- 34:21Speaker 4: free play, turned it into like twenty five hundred.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Damn.
- 34:23Speaker 1: So he did well. Got back last night.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Ye had a shower of broads and but yeah, overall
- 34:29Speaker 4: very successful trip.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I was gonna ask something, but I'm blanking, so somebody
- 34:34Speaker 2: help me here.
- 34:35Speaker 1: All I'll say is the traveling, obviously.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I remember no good.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I'll wick quick. Your circumstances are obviously different for this trip.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Every time I travel, I get like sick, or I
- 34:48Speaker 1: get like the worst headache, or I just feel like
- 34:49Speaker 1: complete shit. When I was flying back last week, when
- 34:54Speaker 1: we were figuring out, I was sex and ryan because
- 34:56Speaker 1: I was trying to forget what was going on here
- 34:57Speaker 1: because I was working on the airplane. Dude, I felt
- 34:58Speaker 1: so awful and then like I get home, sit down
- 35:02Speaker 1: for thirty minutes, and I'm fine. But while I'm traveling,
- 35:04Speaker 1: it's like the war. I hate. I hate it. I
- 35:07Speaker 1: hate going to the airport, I hate all of it.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I'm out on it.
- 35:10Speaker 2: So I was gonna say, do you remember, well, three
- 35:15Speaker 2: spring tours ago and we did live shows at every spot.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and then the next morning.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Early smelling Salts was that I mean were Columbus. Yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 1: like late.
- 35:28Speaker 2: There was a like and we the guys would do
- 35:31Speaker 2: the live show and then we would go out afterwards.
- 35:33Speaker 2: I mean that was when we were hanging out with Laser.
- 35:35Speaker 4: We were this is back also with Will and Taylor
- 35:37Speaker 4: were drinking yes and so things just we were we
- 35:40Speaker 4: were running it hard.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Bro, that like those are some of my most favorite memories,
- 35:46Speaker 2: like working here, but also bro those plane rides back.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Oh dude, and Will and Taylor in first class. You're
- 35:52Speaker 4: in thirty two seed, the biggest humans you've ever met.
- 35:55Speaker 2: And you're just you're hungover, you're tired, you feel like
- 36:00Speaker 2: dog shit, and you have Like there was when at
- 36:02Speaker 2: a New Orleans we woke up at like three thirty
- 36:06Speaker 2: am because we were in baton rouge.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I didn't sleep that night.
- 36:09Speaker 4: I came from the casino in New Orleans and went
- 36:12Speaker 4: home packed and then met you guys in the lobby.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I don't think anyone ever knew that until just now.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think I knew that, but we would
- 36:18Speaker 2: like we woke up at like three thirty four because
- 36:21Speaker 2: we were in band Rouge had to drive all the
- 36:22Speaker 2: way to New Orleans to get on the like the flight.
- 36:24Speaker 2: G was like, dude, and she had out G for
- 36:30Speaker 2: being able to drive. But the amount of like there
- 36:32Speaker 2: was a period of time I think for like three
- 36:34Speaker 2: or four months, because then I went other trips that
- 36:36Speaker 2: I went on, but I did not I was not
- 36:38Speaker 2: on a flight back to Nashville where I wasn't hungover.
- 36:40Speaker 2: And maybe top five worst things, top ten worst things
- 36:44Speaker 2: is being hungover on a flight.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Oh one hundred percent. Has anyone ever thrown up from
- 36:49Speaker 1: being hungover on a plane?
- 36:50Speaker 4: Because that's one of my big fe I thought, I was,
- 36:53Speaker 4: I was about to do that. I was, you know
- 36:54Speaker 4: when you start salvating in your mouth. It started happening
- 36:57Speaker 4: on the plane and I was in the ara, the
- 36:59Speaker 4: window seat, so I was like, I might have to
- 37:02Speaker 4: do it in the bag I don't like And it
- 37:04Speaker 4: was like in that like weird awkward moment where we're
- 37:06Speaker 4: about to take off, so like you can't just jump
- 37:08Speaker 4: up and go to the bathroom. The last thing I
- 37:10Speaker 4: needed was just to throw up in my aisle and
- 37:12Speaker 4: then pass out and probably like laying on the guy
- 37:15Speaker 4: like next to me the rest of the f.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I'm getting notches right now just talking about traveling. I
- 37:18Speaker 1: swear me too.
- 37:20Speaker 2: I never heard, like I've never heard of somebody like
- 37:23Speaker 2: just get sick for the day of travel, Like just
- 37:26Speaker 2: getting sick travel.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I honestly think it's my fault because.
- 37:28Speaker 2: It's get anxious or something about.
- 37:30Speaker 1: No, I think it's more of like the tunnel vision
- 37:33Speaker 1: of like I was supposed to be home at noon
- 37:36Speaker 1: last week, so I'm like small breakfast, I'll eat lunch
- 37:39Speaker 1: when I get home, like I'm not having enough water
- 37:42Speaker 1: all day. All of a sudden, I'm my lunch like
- 37:44Speaker 1: I'm not eating because I'm I'm gonna eat when I
- 37:46Speaker 1: get home it's lunchtime. And then all of a sudden,
- 37:47Speaker 1: I get home at two and I haven't had anything
- 37:49Speaker 1: to eat all day, and I'm just I do it
- 37:50Speaker 1: to myself.
- 37:51Speaker 4: No, I, I guess you also don't want to, like
- 37:55Speaker 4: I take all my meals very personally, like I want
- 37:58Speaker 4: every meal that I eat to be the best.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Meal I've ever had.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Yeah, so especially on a travel day coming back from
- 38:03Speaker 4: a long weekend, like that Sunday, like I'm gonna pick out,
- 38:06Speaker 4: I'm gonna enjoy it.
- 38:07Speaker 1: We'll get back to work Monday. But man, you don't
- 38:10Speaker 1: want to waste one of those meals at for a
- 38:12Speaker 1: breakfast airport meal. It sounds it feels like she's gonna
- 38:15Speaker 1: add to how much you feel. So I'm with you.
- 38:18Speaker 4: I always I always get weird and kind of my
- 38:21Speaker 4: ankles swell up, my feet hurt like a motherfucker.
- 38:23Speaker 1: When I travel, it's always my head. My head just
- 38:25Speaker 1: gets like just a pounding headache.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Your ears pop? Can you pop your ears to make that?
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, But that's like my problem is just I guess
- 38:32Speaker 1: the head is like pressure. But like I said, I
- 38:35Speaker 1: after I'm home, my body knows i'm home.
- 38:37Speaker 2: I'm good. What's the longest leave been on?
- 38:40Speaker 1: Oh, Hawaii, So like an eight eight hour flight, but
- 38:44Speaker 1: that was a long time ago.
- 38:45Speaker 2: How long is Grease Greace?
- 38:47Speaker 4: We went from where we go, We went after Atlanta
- 38:51Speaker 4: to Athens, and I want to say it was like
- 38:53Speaker 4: ten hours, so that's not that. But yeah, Hawaii from Nashville.
- 38:56Speaker 4: If you connect to Dallas. From Dallas, it's eight hours.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Dallas is a straight fly, a.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Long fly that doesn't sound as long as I thought
- 39:05Speaker 2: it was gonna be.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Yeah what eight Yeah, yeah it didn't and yeah it
- 39:10Speaker 1: didn't feel we got I have. It was like the
- 39:12Speaker 1: best flighting straits of my life. So that one I'm
- 39:13Speaker 1: not even gonna count because we had like a I'll
- 39:16Speaker 1: have to show you a picture. We had like those
- 39:18Speaker 1: really nice like pods and you get like they gave
- 39:22Speaker 1: you a TV little game system, like a blanket and
- 39:25Speaker 1: a pillow and you're like lay down in your chair
- 39:28Speaker 1: and all like little bells and whistles, the food that
- 39:30Speaker 1: was there. I just like skipped off and just slept.
- 39:32Speaker 1: It was awesome.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Sick. Yeah, long, I've been on about you.
- 39:36Speaker 3: I think five hours we flew from Jersey from like
- 39:41Speaker 3: Newark to Arizona when we had a bowl game last year.
- 39:44Speaker 3: I was lucky, like similar with you. We were like
- 39:46Speaker 3: the whole team was on a plane. The team was
- 39:48Speaker 3: on one plane, support staff was on another, and so
- 39:50Speaker 3: like we had all our meals like just given to us.
- 39:53Speaker 3: We had like men us and everything. They're like what
- 39:55Speaker 3: do you want? Got like chick fil a right when
- 39:57Speaker 3: we were about to take off as a snack, because
- 39:59Speaker 3: you know these feel yeah, sure taking twenty thousand calories.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh.
- 40:04Speaker 3: And then I had like chicken palm on the plane
- 40:07Speaker 3: for like my entree. I was like, dude, this is
- 40:09Speaker 3: it's Yeah.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I had a steak.
- 40:12Speaker 2: It like a legit steak or like a microwave a lot. Uh.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if his microway it was small.
- 40:17Speaker 2: It was small, like my The longest spot I've been
- 40:20Speaker 2: on was from l A to Fiji. That was eleven hours.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Oh my god. And that was like the three three three,
- 40:28Speaker 2: and I, if I remember correctly, I was in the
- 40:30Speaker 2: middle of the middle three and uh, I only see
- 40:34Speaker 2: those planes in the movies.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Bro that that gets fucked in the same spot that
- 40:40Speaker 1: you said in the uh.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Like there was like a little kid next to me,
- 40:44Speaker 2: like fell asleep on me. It was playing video games
- 40:46Speaker 2: or like on his little pad or whatever. And it
- 40:48Speaker 2: was just loud as fuck sucked. And then the one
- 40:52Speaker 2: thing that was cool is they gave you these cool
- 40:53Speaker 2: like blankets. It was Fiji airways, so like Fijian like
- 40:58Speaker 2: pattern plankets. And I wanted to keep it so bad,
- 41:00Speaker 2: but I felt bad foul ended up keeping one.
- 41:03Speaker 4: But is it Fijian? And I'm not saying you're wrong.
- 41:06Speaker 4: It just it sounds hilarious.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I know, like when I said, I'm like, that kind
- 41:10Speaker 2: of sounds weird, but I believe it is.
- 41:12Speaker 4: I can't know it sounds right. It just I don't
- 41:14Speaker 4: mean to cut you off. I think it's the first
- 41:16Speaker 4: I've heard that in that context.
- 41:20Speaker 2: I don't know if they're it's like kind of New
- 41:21Speaker 2: Zealand's or New Zealanders or kiwis. Like I don't know
- 41:23Speaker 2: if there's another word for Fiji's. No, I'm good with
- 41:25Speaker 2: Fiji's Fijian's. But then like that flight was fucking forever.
- 41:30Speaker 2: But luckily I like going out there. I had foul
- 41:32Speaker 2: with me and then we It was five hours of
- 41:35Speaker 2: Fiji and then like an hour and a half two
- 41:37Speaker 2: hours from Fiji to Samoa, and then I went to
- 41:40Speaker 2: Australia after Samoa. So it was Samoa to Fiji and
- 41:44Speaker 2: then five hours from Fiji to Australia and then Australia
- 41:48Speaker 2: back to Fiji, Fiji to l A La, New Jersey,
- 41:51Speaker 2: all of that, all of that by myself, and that
- 41:55Speaker 2: I don't even remember it because I think it just
- 41:56Speaker 2: blacked out for the entire.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Thing, those connecting flights on the way back because it
- 42:00Speaker 4: just starts killing you because you got just wait in line.
- 42:03Speaker 1: A lot of times it did. It'll match up.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Forty five minutes you get two and a half hours
- 42:06Speaker 4: in some bullshit airport.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Luckily, I think coming back like it was like it
- 42:11Speaker 2: was a long enough layover. I think had like two
- 42:14Speaker 2: or three hours that because when you're coming back you
- 42:15Speaker 2: have to go through customs and everything, so it was
- 42:17Speaker 2: it was fine. But I remember going to Australia and
- 42:20Speaker 2: like getting there and like they're pretty strict with their customs,
- 42:23Speaker 2: like they had dogs and everything walking around everywhere, and
- 42:26Speaker 2: it was actually super quick. But like, yeah, the flying
- 42:30Speaker 2: that long is insane.
- 42:32Speaker 1: And back to something you said about the kid playing
- 42:35Speaker 1: his games next to you, I might be that adult,
- 42:38Speaker 1: because you definitely are. I have a story. It's really
- 42:43Speaker 1: probably not in a good story, but it was when
- 42:44Speaker 1: I was flying out to my sister's like surprise engagement
- 42:47Speaker 1: and uh Southwest, so like you're you're picking your own
- 42:51Speaker 1: seat and I got like in the back of the plane.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I just wanted a window seat, and I'm like sitting there,
- 42:58Speaker 1: me and this guy he's on the aisle, and uh,
- 43:01Speaker 1: it's like at the buzzer. This girl, last person on
- 43:03Speaker 1: the plane, worst human being ever, is like on the
- 43:06Speaker 1: phone like giving her boyfriend trouble and uh like like
- 43:12Speaker 1: literally the most brain rot conversation ever too, And like
- 43:14Speaker 1: I saw her text and they were just wild and
- 43:17Speaker 1: but she sits down just like somebody cheated. I don't
- 43:22Speaker 1: even know what paragraph messages. But this girl, like her
- 43:26Speaker 1: lips like filled to the brand, like it was just
- 43:29Speaker 1: like stereotypical airhead Barbie Doll like, but she sits down
- 43:35Speaker 1: and she and like she's given this dude next to
- 43:36Speaker 1: me problems. She's like, this is my arm wress, Like,
- 43:38Speaker 1: let me have my arm wrest. And then she's like
- 43:40Speaker 1: complaining about the flight system. She's like, they have me
- 43:43Speaker 1: all the way in the back of the plane. They're
- 43:44Speaker 1: playing video games back here. I was on my switch.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I was like, she's like on the phone. She's like, yeah,
- 43:50Speaker 1: they're what are we playing video games? I'm like, oh,
- 43:52Speaker 1: I thought you were reading this off a text message.
- 43:54Speaker 4: She's saying this audibly, she's yeah, well yeah, the text
- 43:57Speaker 4: message ra after I should have clarified.
- 43:58Speaker 1: That she's on the phone like complaining about her situation.
- 44:01Speaker 2: She was bitching about you playing video game.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sitting there like I'm sitting there like in
- 44:05Speaker 1: the corner.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Just you should have been like, get your fucking ship
- 44:08Speaker 2: together before you start coming at me for playing.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I was.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I was like, so I took my at I was like, yeah,
- 44:16Speaker 1: they yeah, they are Mario Kart. I got a flight
- 44:19Speaker 1: to I got timed bird. I got and then and
- 44:22Speaker 1: then she gave the dude next to his business on
- 44:24Speaker 1: the way out and uh he he called her princess.
- 44:27Speaker 1: He's like, he's like, later, princess, She's It was weird.
- 44:30Speaker 1: And then me and that guy at the baggage claim
- 44:32Speaker 1: were talking a lot of ship about her. It was.
- 44:36Speaker 1: It was but yeah, you're that buzzy. I think it's
- 44:39Speaker 1: my phone. I left it over there, so your mom, Yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 1: you're good, you can. We'll get her on the We'll
- 44:47Speaker 1: get her on the next week. But yeah, they was
- 44:50Speaker 1: just wild.
- 44:51Speaker 2: It was.
- 44:52Speaker 1: It had to be. There was funny.
- 44:53Speaker 2: It was funny on Southwest. That's interesting because like I
- 44:56Speaker 2: would expect that type of behavior on my spirit.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I just and that was my first time flying
- 45:01Speaker 1: Southwest since the Nebraska incident. Because it was I guess
- 45:06Speaker 1: it wasn't an incident.
- 45:06Speaker 2: It was the Nebraska Fun Nebraska movement.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Yeah, And I was just like, I was like just lucky,
- 45:13Speaker 1: you know, I had nowhere to be like super fast.
- 45:15Speaker 1: So I'm like, I'll go in the back and get
- 45:16Speaker 1: a window seat. Like I don't care. I'm just gonna
- 45:18Speaker 1: be tucked away playing my games. Have passed the time?
- 45:22Speaker 2: Have you going back to like talking about thrown up
- 45:24Speaker 2: on a plane? Have you ever been on a plane
- 45:26Speaker 2: and like near somebody that threw up?
- 45:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but only children.
- 45:30Speaker 4: I was one seat away from a child throwing up
- 45:32Speaker 4: on her mom, and it was it was not like
- 45:35Speaker 4: a casual kid throw up.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I was like, this is a grown ass man's throw up.
- 45:38Speaker 2: It was so much like next to you.
- 45:41Speaker 4: So I'm in the window seat and then I believe
- 45:44Speaker 4: she was in the center seat and her husband was
- 45:47Speaker 4: asle and they had like a baby that was small
- 45:49Speaker 4: enough where they could hold it, and they switched at
- 45:51Speaker 4: one point and thank god they switched, and the baby
- 45:53Speaker 4: threw up on her in the aisle seat, and it
- 45:55Speaker 4: was it was a brutal one to where like it
- 45:59Speaker 4: felt like they like had extra flight attendants come out
- 46:02Speaker 4: of nowhere cleaning this stuff up it and dude, the smell.
- 46:07Speaker 1: You can imagine, Hey, oh my god, that's made me
- 46:10Speaker 1: throw up. Anyways, I do not envy people traveling with kids. No,
- 46:13Speaker 1: I know it's hard, but if you're gonna do it,
- 46:16Speaker 1: stay awake on the plane when your kids are running
- 46:20Speaker 1: a mug. Because one time I was sitting in the
- 46:22Speaker 1: back row and this woman and I don't know where
- 46:25Speaker 1: her husband, I don't know if I don't know where
- 46:27Speaker 1: he was. She had a newborn baby and a two
- 46:31Speaker 1: year old, and she gets on the aisle seat and
- 46:34Speaker 1: she was holding the baby. Two year old's like sitting
- 46:37Speaker 1: in the middle, and she just like passes out with
- 46:40Speaker 1: the baby and like the two year old like it's
- 46:41Speaker 1: like trying to hold the baby, and she this girl,
- 46:44Speaker 1: Like this woman is slumped and this is like a
- 46:45Speaker 1: newborn baby that's being held up by a two year
- 46:48Speaker 1: old toddler that I just didn't trust to be just
- 46:52Speaker 1: to be, just to be frank. And so I spent
- 46:54Speaker 1: like this entire flight like basically holding this baby out. Yeah,
- 46:59Speaker 1: like it was insane baby away from Yeah, I'm not
- 47:04Speaker 1: even kidding. Like this baby was like Mario Kart, no
- 47:08Speaker 1: time to play games. I gotta save live. I've had
- 47:11Speaker 1: some weird flying experience I was on.
- 47:14Speaker 2: We used to go to Florida every year because for
- 47:17Speaker 2: spring break in high school. And there was this one
- 47:19Speaker 2: time and like, I hate throw up. I hate throwing up.
- 47:23Speaker 2: I hate looking at it, like everything about it. And
- 47:27Speaker 2: like there was like three or four aisles up and
- 47:30Speaker 2: there was this guy and I like, I'm not saying
- 47:33Speaker 2: this to me, like I think he had down syndrome
- 47:34Speaker 2: or something.
- 47:35Speaker 1: WHOA.
- 47:36Speaker 2: And I was in the window seat and like I
- 47:39Speaker 2: could start here in this commotion and I'm like, what
- 47:42Speaker 2: is going on? And I look through like the cracks
- 47:44Speaker 2: of the seat and I see this guy in like
- 47:48Speaker 2: a like zip lock like gallon bag, just yucking. And
- 47:55Speaker 2: it was like it was I still it's burned in
- 47:58Speaker 2: my mind like milk white. It was awful, dude, that
- 48:02Speaker 2: I can't smell, like like Jack said, smelled up the
- 48:04Speaker 2: entire plane. I'm like, get me out if you're the.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I can't do throw up that that like why I
- 48:12Speaker 1: I don't want to call it an ad. I forget who
- 48:13Speaker 1: what it was for. But oh, the the merch thing,
- 48:16Speaker 1: the design contest, like the little skit we did, dude,
- 48:19Speaker 1: my role, and I like, I can't do anything throw up.
- 48:21Speaker 1: My role was to pretend like I was throwing up,
- 48:23Speaker 1: and I damn near like actually threw up pretending to
- 48:27Speaker 1: throw up. That's how bad it is.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I was like.
- 48:31Speaker 1: It was bad. I can't even believe I made it
- 48:32Speaker 1: through that, Like, so why did I get this role?
- 48:34Speaker 2: I can't. I can't just like see people throw like,
- 48:38Speaker 2: it's no, I can't. The smells I've told like like
- 48:42Speaker 2: when I have kids, it's like, hey, wife, you get
- 48:45Speaker 2: to throw up. I'll deal with the poop like I'll do.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Honestly, I'm the same. I can't do throw up.
- 48:49Speaker 2: It's I'm bad with it. Dang good, not good.
- 48:53Speaker 1: We can't in on those What are we What are
- 48:56Speaker 1: we at?
- 48:57Speaker 4: We are at forty nine minutes thirty second, so honestly
- 49:01Speaker 4: chucking through it.
- 49:02Speaker 2: What do we have coming up the next couple of weeks? Oh,
- 49:04Speaker 2: spring tour that's start, that's next this time next week,
- 49:09Speaker 2: right yeah, yeah, yeah, we're nothing. Nothing's been released yet,
- 49:15Speaker 2: so we don't want to say anything quite yet. Yeah,
- 49:18Speaker 2: really cool spots coming up, so stay tuned for that content.
- 49:22Speaker 2: We'll have more, uh, we'll be able to talk about
- 49:25Speaker 2: it more and recap some of the trips that we
- 49:27Speaker 2: go on some We got three lineup. Yeah, you can
- 49:31Speaker 2: speak about it because you do all of the booking.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we got three locked in next week and then
- 49:37Speaker 3: so one's right before Easter. Two are back to back
- 49:41Speaker 3: right after Easter. We're trying to lock in two more
- 49:44Speaker 3: for that following week, yeah.
- 49:46Speaker 2: I think.
- 49:46Speaker 3: And then the draft.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Yeah, April's fucking hell. Yeah that's kind of crazy. Yeah,
- 49:52Speaker 2: so much, but it'll be fun. I know, like we
- 49:55Speaker 2: kind of found the formula when we went to Oregon
- 49:57Speaker 2: last year. So I'm curious how some of these other schools.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Bring towards BANG. Last year.
- 50:01Speaker 3: Of the schools there was, they were good school that
- 50:03Speaker 3: was like, oh, we love what you did with like
- 50:06Speaker 3: oh really and like that sounds like such a good time,
- 50:09Speaker 3: Like we kind of want to get that. But yeah,
- 50:14Speaker 3: I think, I mean, how could you not love like
- 50:16Speaker 3: that flog?
- 50:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I'm trying to like, we went to
- 50:18Speaker 2: Organ last year.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I went to Oregon, I swear, I don't know why.
- 50:22Speaker 1: I can't think. Did we get to Nebraska? Did a
- 50:24Speaker 1: live show?
- 50:24Speaker 2: You did Michigan?
- 50:26Speaker 1: They did the work out there in Michigan. Nebraska. Organ
- 50:28Speaker 1: was the three I think, so I don't think there
- 50:31Speaker 1: was a draft blog as well that kind of parlayed
- 50:33Speaker 1: into it.
- 50:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I know we was Delaney and Will did that
- 50:36Speaker 4: live show and Lincoln was that or was that?
- 50:38Speaker 1: No, no, No, Taylor came for this one. I just looked
- 50:41Speaker 1: at the vlogs the other day just to see the
- 50:42Speaker 1: thumbnails on him, and I think I think those are
- 50:45Speaker 1: the only one.
- 50:45Speaker 2: The Oregon one. I mean, Oregon is just sick like
- 50:49Speaker 2: as a little kid, especially me. Yeah, I think I
- 50:52Speaker 2: don't know if Jack you've tweeted out the video or
- 50:54Speaker 2: the picture of me. I know I have, just I
- 50:56Speaker 2: was a Neon kid growing up, a Vault kid. Yeah,
- 50:59Speaker 2: and Oregon with their Neon uniforms and stuff, like I
- 51:02Speaker 2: always loved them. And like you obviously know, like the
- 51:05Speaker 2: CEO of Nike, the creator of Nike is like out
- 51:07Speaker 2: there and it's like that that is the cream of
- 51:11Speaker 2: the crop, as like a little kid. So being able
- 51:13Speaker 2: to finally go out there, because I know you guys
- 51:14Speaker 2: went out there a couple of years ago, like beforehand,
- 51:16Speaker 2: and like it was everything and more and Landing is
- 51:20Speaker 2: the fucking homie. So I'm excited to see with these
- 51:22Speaker 2: other schools.
- 51:23Speaker 1: I'm excited to hold it down back in NASA.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, in charge, go ahead. Ryan signed us out.
- 51:31Speaker 3: All right, this has been Episode Inside the Bus. Like
- 51:36Speaker 3: comment subscribe we will see you next week.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Forty two Jackie Robinson. Another baseball pod loading.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Let's go,
